They have turned this into more of a private club, and if you are not part of the Tarpon club, you are literally treated like garbage. You cannot even sit in certain sections because they don’t want to take up the space if another row needs to be set up of the private chairs. I was told on my second day I could rent lounge chairs, which we ended up doing on the third day as we were tired of lugging the beach chairs that did not even recline down to the beach unfortunately, this was $50 a day and unexpected expense that I should’ve been told about ahead of time. The morning desk person is pleasant. However, the night guy does not even look up from his cell phone to acknowledge you!! I have always looked forward to this trip but this trip didn’t turn out to be as relaxing as it was in the past. Communication from the staff ahead of time could have possible helped. But being hit with unexpected fees and paying extra for a room that turned out to be a total waste of money has ruined my thoughts of staying here in the future.
