You never know if the winds will be too high that day, which means the pool/beach can't open the umbrellas, but with a Chiki Hut you'll still have shade from the sun. The towels they use for the chairs under the huts were not only plush, but were made to slide over the top of the chair ensuring they stay on. We were also given a cooler with bottles of water -- these little features really make you feel welcome and make the day even more relaxing. Each day we enjoyed a few cocktails and menu items from the restaurant, and although a little pricey (to be expected, not a complaint) everything was pretty good. The crab cakes were about 90% crab and incredibly delicious; the buffalo quesadilla wasn't spicy but still had really good flavor; the mahi tacos were on point & really tasty; the coconut shrimp are massive & cooked well, but could use a little more coconut flavor; and the chicken salad was good but, the chicken was really dry (the marinade/seasoning used on it was really good though). Our waitress the second day, Sierra, was funny, charming, attentive, and gave some good recommendations. She seemed to really like her job which is always a plus. If you get a chance, take yourself to the Pink Shell and enjoy a day in the pool or ocean!

We called almost every pet friendly hotel/resort and had no luck with openings due to it being a holiday. Upon arrival there were 2 single wash dishwasher detergent packs, 4 bath towels and wash cloths, 1 single use packet of laundry detergent, no ice or ice machine and hair on our bed linens. The office for this building is half a mile away and phone calls are screened and returned, not answered. We drove to the office and were told by an elderly gentleman that housekeeping in any way is our responsibility. I clarified TWICE about the following: we are expected to purchase dishwasher detergent for the remainder of our stay, laundry detergent (because they don't give any more towels or change your linens during your stay) and cleaners to sanitize the unit. What a joke! The beach is also not quiet or relaxing by any means. Busy public access point with no noise or alcohol enforcement whatsoever. Definitely not close enough to walk to the pier or Times Square. Far cry from our stay on Sanibel Island 2 weeks ago. So disappointed 😞

We've stayed there 4 times now and it's the only place we'll stay. It is more reasonably priced than other places we've stayed at and looked at and it's always clean and in excellent condition.
