But then came the main dishes. I ordered an 8oz steak with a lobster tail. I asked for medium rare and got medium-well. The steak itself was just okay and it was evident that the steaks are not top grade meat. Then the lobster was very underwhelming. It is not Atlantic lobster and was actually dry tasting. Probably one of the worst lobster tails I’ve ever had. They do the candle-under-butter, but it was evident it wasn’t even butter because when I blew out the candle, it didn’t solidify. Overall my main dish was very dissatisfying. One person at our table was not happy with the prime rib. It was not cooked to their liking. Upon asking for the order to be fixed, the waiter decided to argue about it. He then took back the dish to the kitchen. The person I was with was so offended that she decided to not order something else. If that was the only part of the experience, I wouldn’t have left a such low rated review. But after this whole debacle, the servers decided to slow things down on us. Waiters didn’t show up for a while. When they did, and someone requested something, they “forgot”. And proceeded to take more time to return. Someone from our table had to get up, find a waiter and ask them for the bill to their face. All in all, it took about 40 mins to get the bill after the last person finished eating. Once we got the bill they auto charged 18% gratuity. Little to our surprise it's more quantity than quality. We went with combo J (1 lbs each of lobster, king crab and snow crab) in the house sauce (combo of 3 sauces = garlic butter, lemon pepper and cajun) plus Cajun fries, lobster fried rice and 2 piece corn & 2 piece potatoes). Once it arrived at our table the presentation was really nice but that's about the real positive about the meal. The sauce wasn't that savory and the seafood was bland.... I am still baffled how that happens if it's all boiled together. The rice was just okay IMO but the corn was good.... I'm surprised they only give you scissors and no shellfish crackers, had a challenging time opening it up. The worst part, we weren't even completely full! Also our original server never even brought us our 2 cokes from the initial order. The ONLY saving grace this is getting a 2 star review is for the other server from another section (thank you Jash, you were lovely.... I don't remember the name of the woman we had but she was not entirely attentive) who made a good effort. Please ensure the tip that we left goes to her, she deserved it. Overall, do yourself a big favor and just go to The Captains Boil, it will be slightly more expensive but it WILL BE a better meal and experience.
