The food was just ok. Too much rice around the rolls. It was almost all rice. We ended up picking at each roll to take out the rice. Spider rolls and tempura was not crispy. Service was ok. Whenever I come to Oregon to visit family, I always try to eat here. Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve gone to, the food was IMMACULATE. So good. You can taste the pure authenticity and flavor in their food. The servers are really sweet and kind, some of the nicest I’ve had. This small family owned store felt so cozy and warm like a blanket, it was nice, and felt like being in Japan again. The only thing that people might not like about this is the long wait, but honestly it’s worth it, and I also personally don’t mind. Great place, should try it sometime :)

As a frequent visitor to Japan, I long for the authentic intersection between food, atmosphere and service. But mostly food.
Yuzu brings a good majority of this to the table. I found myself flashing back to an izakaya in Morioka (minus the tabaco filled air). Atmosphere is a check.
I started with the karrage, which came out perfect. Using the Japanese double-fry method, it's more of a steam than a fry. This leaves you with a thin but crispy outside and very juicy, not dry chicken, with very little grease. The aoili sauce really added to the overall flavor.
The sashito peppers weren't overly seasoned nor overly spicy, but rather had a good umami flavor.
The kimchi cheese spring rolls were the only non-Japanese item I ordered. They were unique and very flakey, but the flavors and textures did not mix too well.
I also ordered the cold soba. This is one of the rare time I enjoyed a cold soba. The flavor wasn't overpowering and the texture had a somewhat firm but melt apart texture.
Finally, they have a rotating donburi and this visit I scored as they had my favorite Japanese dish - the Katsudon. This was one of the best Katsudonburi I have had in the US. The seasoning had the perfect umami balance with sweetness. The Katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle, and most importantly the egg was just set and a little runny (I prefer more runny but in the US this is a good compromise to the usual scrambled egg you get on top)
Overall fantastic food and atmosphere. The staff were friendly, quick, and attentive.
Finally, we arrived 30 mins before they opened on a Saturday night, and it was practically empty when we entered and still had tables available when we were leaving.
Highly recommend!

Such a great spot for authentic sushi. The service was truly outstanding. The selection of fish is somewhat limited but the quality is very good. You can definitely dine here between $50-100 per person here but the fish is so fresh and high quality we wanted to treat ourselves to uni two different ways abd ikura as well. We did salmon sashimi, sashimi platter, shrimp tempura, Romeo and Juliette roll, ebi/scallop/uni, as well as single serve spoons of ikura and uni/real crab.
The food was fantastic. The service is excellent/friendly and very attentive. It is a charming small location so I would recommend making reservations. It was busy on a week day!

My husband and I came here last night for my birthday. I’ve been eyeing Yuubi Sushi for a while now but it’s a small spot so definitely a place you need a reservation for. It doesn’t seem like the place you can just show up and expect a table - we made reservations online about 2 weeks in advance to secure the time we wanted.
All I can say is Wow… everything was AMAZING. We ordered a variety of nigiri and there was not a single bite we didn’t fall in love with.
Everything was fresh, delicious and fast! I think our first round of sushi hit our table within 3 min of ordering. The servers were really nice and quick to make sure any empty plates were quickly removed from the table to keep the fish flowing.
Everything was amazing and while this restaurant is not cheap, I do believe everything was appropriately priced for the quality you get. This is definitely our new favorite place for high quality sushi. We will be back! Hats off to the chefs and staff.

I tried the California and San Francisco rolls.

Far and above my favorite sushi restaurant in America (although NYC has some really great sushi too). The menu combines some really high quality and subtle fish with big and innovative tastes. The Omakase is always a particular treat with smooth, savory, and salty flavors all coming together into something wonderful. This is hands down our favorite sushi place near Portland. It’s in Beaverton, but it’s always worth the drive!
Every time we come here, we order so much that I am pretty sure they remember us as the couple who always orders a lot!
The fish is high quality and tastes so good!! They use real wasabi too!! I get the Ankimo every time and my partner always gets the omakase. I like trying their uni and wagyu dishes too. I also like that they are always switching things up and adding new things to the menu from time to time, it gives us new things to try every time we come in! Literally can’t go wrong with anything, it all tastes so good! You can sense that they have real dedication to the craft!
We also love that the amaebi comes with fried shrimp heads and wasabi salt too! The wasabi salt goes really good with them.
The inside dining area is fairly small, so it can fill up and get crowded or loud and rowdy easily, but honestly the food is so good that most of the time I don’t notice.
Highly recommend if you love high quality sushi!!

I really really really want to like Sho and have given it several chances even though my husband is firm it is mediocre at best. Sho makes many of their items “in house” and I appreciate housemade grub so much. Unfortunately, I think most of their dishes are overpriced and not executed properly.
A toddler could’ve cut the fish better than whoever cut mine on the evening of 9/25. Sashimi (and sushi for that matter) is supposed to be delicate and definitely not a thick chunk of fish. $12 and $13 for the “sashimi” pictured below is a bonafide rip-off.
I love me a good karaage and was looking forward to their garlicky version. They nailed the fry and chicken was super moist. I’m still puzzled on how it was flavorless, though. Meaning there was no seasoning and definitely not even a faint whiff of garlic. Very disappointing.
The sunomono salad with crab was pretty mid. It barely had any cucumbers in it, but did have ample cheap crab.
$50 for the meal pictured in the photos is ludicrous!

実は二回目の来店。前も確かカツサンドを買い、今回はカツサンドにカレーパン、ベーコンエピにチョココロネと日本でお馴染みのシリーズを買いました。
嬉しかったのは店員さんが日本語を話せたことです。やはり英語はまともに聞き取れず、いつも通り英語が苦手だと伝えてやり過ごそうとしたところ、日本語を少し話せると言ってくれて会計を済ませて店を出るまで日本語で対応してくれました。
持ち帰りかどうかなどもそうですが、飲み物は要りますかと聞かれてつい「いいです」と日本語特有の言い回しで答えてしまったのに、それがNo Thank you の事だと理解してくれたのには驚きました。とても日本語が上手でした。
価格はアメリカ価格（カツサンド7$、他3.5$とか）で、日本人の感覚だと厳しいかも知れませんが、アメリカにいて食べられる日本の食としてたまの贅沢のつもりなら気にならないかと。お味も日本のそれなので、余裕があれば是非ともお勧めします。

Been coming Best Teriyaki for decades, back when they had several locations and when it used to be one of those must have cravings. Pretty sure ownership or management has changed hands at least once or twice? Everything used to be so good, rib and chicken combo and chicken rice bowl have always been my goto meals. Sadly at some point in time (maybe 2000-2019 -ish) the recipes changed, and quality seemed to had dropped off as their other locations also closed. Beaverton is all that's left. The decor hasn't changed much inside but the tasty flavor is back.
Seem who ever is running the ship now actually does care about serving food that actually tastes good. Even the cooked cabbage is tasty with it's mild blend of spices and crunch, perfect mix on a combo plate or rice bowl. I still order the chicken rice 'bowl' a couple times a month ... seems the traditional bowl shape has been replaced with a rectangle tray on togo orders, which is fine as the volume of food seems about the same, of course inflation has hit the rice bowl at $10.75. The thick warm sweet teriyaki sauce here is absolutely delicious and something special (can't find anything close a the grocery stores), glad they keep big bottles on the counter as I always pour some extra teriyaki sauce over my meal along with a bit of hot Rooster sauce (The original Sriracha) which despite many knock-off brands still has the best tasting flavor profile. Only thing missing here is some traditional Hawaiian macaroni salad, as Best Teriyaki is pretty close to having a Hawaiian menu and style, easily comparable to 808 Grind and Roxy. Rice here is always cooked perfectly, chicken is moist with a nice bit of char, the side cabbage is a tasty compliment and meals are a decent portion size. Definitely back to being a must have craving at least a couple times a month. Delicious.

Most of the food we ordered was actually good and I loved the cute decorations and atmosphere but on that note.
The main issue was that it took forever to get our food and for a table of 4 we all received our orders at different times. 2 people received their order then maybe 30 minutes later one of us received part of their order then another 15-20 minutes later we received the rest of it, that was an awful experience in itself.
You have to place your order with a QR code that's linked to your table # and you cannot make separate orders so it all goes onto one bill that doesn't get split at the end. This just makes it a little inconvenient for larger groups that plan on paying separately.

Went in for dinner on Saturday and it was busy! But I know why, this place is good!! The service was fantastic and the sushi was fresh. The cucumbers in the seaweed salad were so crisp! Highly recommend the spicy white tuna roll, but honestly it was all good!!

Meh. Bamboo seems to be going further downhill. This photo is of the scallop roll we ordered, which you can see features hardly ANY scallop at all!!! And most just stuffed with BS cucumbers. If we wanted a cucumber roll — we would have gotten one. We alerted our server to this issue (why does everyone who work at this particular location seem to be fresh out of high school?) and he went back to the kitchen, where they plopped an appropriate amount of actual scallops back on top. Also, it was an extremely hot muggy day and ALLLL their doors were open, which was unbearable and how and disgusting. No escaping the heat here. It also creates for a really noisy and unpleasant, non intimate environment with all of the noise from the parking lot right outside. This is my least favorite Bamboo location by FAR. Again — super mehhhh. Also — why are there sprouts on EVERYTHING? Omg. Seriously so unnecessary. There are waaaayyyyy better/more authentic/more fish sushi places around for the same-ish price point.

I just got home from an accidental visit to Bamboo Sushi.
I was going to neighboring businesses.
I was hungry and this is one of the few sushi places where I've never eaten.
Well, it turns out that it's one of the very best I've ever visited! A big surprise.

This was a delectable experience and worth the price. I ordered the Garden of Eden as a recommendation from the server and my friend who is a regular ordered the Green Machine, and she's vegetarian. I loved my roll and the unique flavor profile it had. Then I had her roll and the taste explosion with the cilantro was just lovely. We also had the Maitake mushroom starter which had so much umami and it was devoured. The cucumber salad was light and a little sweeter than I prefer but still tasty. Can't wait to come back here!

Tried this place today, and very happy I did! Its close to home, and the woman at the counter was very friendly. Even brought our takeout to us when it was done.
Got the Chicken and Gyoza lunch special, and though the portions are a little smaller than typical, i still couldn't finish my meal.
The teriyaki sauce was also different than normal, but delicious. Sweet but had a bit more oomph in flavor than normal if that makes sense.

Don’t expect fresh food if you order through GrubHub! I have ordered from here at least 20 times. This time salmon on my salad was not only COLD it was RAW in the middle. 🤮 I was not able to finish it because I cannot eat raw food. I’ve ordered this before, and the salmon was warm. First time here, the service was friendly. Atmosphere was okay due to the restaurant seem a bit disorganized.
For food, the sushi was also on the on the expensive side, there are cheaper options but at the same time some of these options should be cheaper compare to other shops. The wait is a little long so make sure you order some appetizers.
Overall the food was decent, if you want a nice waterfront view eating sushi in the evening this is a great spot for it.

I was in town visiting a friend who has a severe gluten allergy and I found Bamboo Sushi on the gluten free app. Looked into it and made a reservation. Informed the server of the allergy and she said there were only 2 items with gluten. We decided to get Wasabi Honey Chicken and Smashed Avocado crispy rice as an appetizer. The chicken was really good, had some heat/spiciness, but excellent flavor. She got the Unicorn sushi and asked for eel sauce, and I went with the green machine which is vegetarian and asked for spicy aioli. We enjoyed the food so much we came back 2 nights later with her Aunt and ordered chicken karaage for an appetizer (no picture). She got the garden of Eden Sushi and the Friday the 13th sushi and enjoyed both but I think she likes the Friday the 13th better. I got the chili garlic chicken with steamed rice which was very tasty. And her Aunt got the grilled octopus (no picture) and said it too was delicious. Highly recommend checking Bamboo Sushi out. The ramen is not good. The tofu is dried up oily and has a terrible flavor. Noodles are not good. The broth is not normal tasting. Inedible bowl of ramen. Veggies were over cooked for asian cuisine. We could not and did not eat the ramen due to the fact that is was horrible after just tasting it. We spoke to the manager and he stated the owners would not refund and would only discount the meal 10 percent or we could get 1 free dessert. Of course neither one of these offerings is acceptable. We told them the food is inedible and they still asked if we wanted a to-go box after we couldnt eat it and were forced to pay for it. We had to pay and left hungry and Dissatisfied.
