Although the restaurant offers a broader menu of typical Indian food, however i would highly recommend the garhwali thali. It contains 8 items; Phanu (soup), mixed dal, kandali (stinging nettles vegetable), aloo thichwani (mashed potatoes curry vegetable), pumpkin/cucumber raita, red rice, mandwe ki roti, bhang ki chutney, jhanhore ki kheer. We also tried rhododendron root fresh soda, on the recommendation of the chef. It was too sweet for me. However the rhododendron root flavour was exciting. I would recommend making it less sweet. And finally, the ambience is spectacular. It's right on top of an uphill road. The seat next to the window is absolutely spectacular. I would highly recommend a lunch at Hills-e-ishq.
