This part is only open July to September. The hike is moderate around 15 km the first day mostly flat but some elevation along the way. You can drive to the camp site before starting and drop all heavy items there in the storeroom and return to start the hike with only essentials. The path goes all around the nature reserve through beds of wildflowers which is amazing. Photos cannot describe the beauty. The camp site is next to the road by a beach. Once the day visitors leave, you have the place to yourselves and the experience is amazing. The rangers do provide some wood and a grill if you want to braai but recommended to carry extra wood for the camp fire. Day 2 hike is easy back to the start
