It has spots to fish but not exactly the best fishing since its fished so much, yet the chance is there. The ponds to the south of the grounds are mainly shallow beaver and other wildlife habitats so it is good for a nature walk especially if you go a little off trail in those areas. If you want to catch some fish You may actually fair better fishing the Comite River close to the bridge. And yes you can acess the river by going into the back heading westward on the northern trail.
