콜롬보의 49가지 최고의 명소

베이라 호수 인근에 자리한 불교사원. 세계 각국에서 보낸 불상들과 다양한 불교 유물들이 가득한 콜롬보의 대표 사원. 아니 오히려 불교 박물관이라 부르는게 더 맞을지도 모르겠다. ‘강가라 마야’의 뜻은 ‘물을 다스리는 임금’이라고 한다.

이 곳의 정체성에 혼란이 온다. 스리랑카의 최고/최대 불교 사찰로 알고 왔으나 힌두 신들, 온갖 잡동사니, 관우 동상, 심지어 아베신조 사진까지... 경건한 마음으로 더운데 긴바지 입고 왔는데 잡다구레 섞인 문화에 혼란스런 마음, 신발음 왜 벗게 하는건지 발만 더러워지고 호텔로 옴.

밤비행기 타기전 왔는데 너무 낭만있었어요! 스리랑카 사람들 연날리는걸 한참 구경했어요! 다시 역으로 돌아갈때 뚝뚝 잡는것 헬입니다. 픽미 그냥 car로 잡으세요. 그래도 300루피 더주면 온다고 합니다

콜롬보 시내의 바닷가 시민공원으로 일몰이 아름답기로 유명한 곳이다. 콜롬보여행에서 빼 놓을 수 없는 명소.

스리랑카에는 예쁜 해변이 많다 단 여기 제외하곤....여기 거주자 아니면 굳이 올 장소는 아니다 남쪽에 예쁜 곳들 많으니 걸로 가시길....

넓은 광장입니다. 잔디는 별로지만 콜롬보 시민에게는 좋은 장소로 보입니다. 젊은 사람 특히 학생들이 많았습니다. 콜롬보 가면 꼭 가보시길 추천합니다.

사람이 많았고 사람들의 표정에 기쁨이 가득했던 곳. 덥지만 딱히 쉴곳은 없었음. 탁트인 바다와 많은 매점과 사람들의 밝은 감정이 느껴지는 바닷가로 기억에 남음.

한번쯤 들리기 좋아요 2층에 음료 판매소가 있고. 후문으로 나가면 지역화가들의 그림을 감상하거나 구매 할 수 있어요

에어컨이 없어서 엄청 더움

스리랑카 역사 문화를 시대적으로 구분하여 관람할수 있음. 아름다운 청동 불상과 힌두 신상들도 전시되어있으며, 건축부분들의 대표적 장식 형태도 볼수 있다.

좀 거창한 유물은 없었던 것 같다. 전시관에 에어컨이 없어 돌아다니기가 힘들고 2층 올라가는 데 엘리베이터가 없어 유모차를 들고 계단을 오르내렸다. 아쉽긴 하지만 콜롬보에서 가볼만 한 곳 중에 하나라고 생각한다.

Finally, I asked them if I was able to visit the Stupa, they pointed me to the right direction and it was a super spiritual and enlightening experience! The elevator was not working but for the best, I climbed the stairs to the top which was super peaceful and humbling. When I got to the top and walked inside the Stupa, I was truly blown away. There was 360 depictions an imagery of lord Buddhas life, despite not being of any religion, I enjoy showing worship and learning about religions, this was truly so amazing to learn about. So colourful and truly a mesmerizing experience. I recommended it to some other tourists and would do the same for anyone else visiting. You will also have a wicked view of the city and port from the top. You can see the Colombo lighthouse on your way and after your visit, the Colombo port maritime museum which is right next to the temple. 10/10 would recommend, so quiet and peaceful :)
