Restaurant
Bent Street Grille is a charming country-style spot in Taos, offering comfort food for breakfast and specialty sandwiches for lunch. The restaurant is renowned for its authentic northern New Mexican brunch featuring dishes like huevos rancheros and Taos-style eggs benedict. With a welcoming ambiance and friendly hospitality, it's a dream destination for breakfast and brunch lovers. While it offers plenty of vegetarian options, making them vegan is not difficult.
The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food was excellent. After having an amazing experience for breakfast, we returned later that day to have dinner . Both visits were great 👍. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The outdoor patio was wonderful.

We ordered black bean veggie burger, breakfast tacos with tofu and waffle on side. Everything was good, just the hash brown were weird. Waiting time is there! Tacos were delicious!
Ankita T — Google review
Loved my breakfast Tacos. Paid a little extra for sprinkled bacon. Potatoes came out crispy as requested. My husband enjoyed his blue corn waffles. Our server was so kind. We enjoyed our 2 cups of coffee. An easy walk from the Taos Inn if you run fast enough to avoid cars.
Joyce S — Google review
I had the best tuna melt of my life here. SO delicious, the fries were scrumptious. The arnold palmer I ordered was also delicious. HIGHLY recommend this place if you’re looking for a delicious sandwich, yummy fries, & the best atmosphere. They’re also extremely dog-friendly, which I loved.

Best breakfast we've had so far and the view to an old courtyard is lovely. Our waiter Lucas was attentive and polite. Big portions of tasty food. The side pancake is more like a regular portion. Excellent coffee.
Zachi F — Google review
Nice lunch outside on a lovely patio. Attentive staff and good food (hand cut fries) at reasonable prices. Great people watching!
Mary C — Google review
The food is amazing! Who knew that huevos could taste so wonderful!? Lavazza coffee, our server, Lucas was excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and homey. Non-pork bacon ( beef!(better) or turkey (yuck)) would be a nice option to add to the menu.

Enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast at Bent Street Grille with friendly service, great flvors, sizable portions, and good coffee.

Gutiz is a charming daytime eatery located in the heart of Taos, offering a fusion of Latin and French cuisine. The restaurant features an intimate atmosphere adorned with contemporary art. Chef-owner Fernando Olea combines traditional French cooking methods with vibrant Mexican flavors to create innovative and comforting dishes. The menu includes unique creations such as a scrambled-egg tower, Parisian crepes, Andouille sausage-chile bowl for breakfast, and a variety of sandwiches on house-made French bread for lunch.
I have to say that this meal was divine. I wish I had more room for more food. OMGOODNESS, this is the best breakfast I've had in awhile. I highly recommend anyone interested in scratch cooked wonderment. Thank You to The Kitchen Wizard who prepared this meal and the lovely staff for attentive service and conversation. You may disregard my "how much I paid" as I had coffee and hot chocolate as well as a Steak dish as well as a half order of French toast as well...no regrets... I may need a nap.
Ted S — Google review
We tried 3 items on the menu for lunch, Mussels in a thick broth, Paella with seafood and sausage and beans - all 3 were excellent and rich in flavor and depth. The wine list was minimal unfortunately, but the house red worked and palatable, the red sangria was very pleasant and a nice presentation. Parking is available and service was delightful. Another “out of the blue” winner and well worth the visit. BTW: it was lovely to see the place was dog friendly and all the dogs were very well behaved. You will not be disappointed.
Mark A — Google review
Really great food & awesome staff. Got the French Toast and my girlfriend got the Parisian Crepes. Recommend a million percent.
Ryan L — Google review
We were a group of 5 with a baby and waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Several other groups were sat and had their orders taken. We left disappointed. We were the only brown people in the restaurant and it seemed like they avoided seating us. There were several open tables as well. We wanted to enjoy a nice breakfast before Taos Pueblo feast day.
Kietzecume G — Google review
Great food and amazing staff. Really loved the food and the people here. Most of the dishes could also be made gluten free, even the French Toast! The Spanish Tortilla was delicious and the French Toast was a treat. We also had the Eggs Benedict which was the favorite for those of us who preferred something more savory.
Nathan B — Google review
Delicious! Ended up here for lunch today. Sis had the French toast and I had the Diners, Drives,n Dives featured Pollo Borachon. All was EXCEPTIONAL!! Highly recommend
Alabama Z — Google review
Had breakfast there twice while in Taos. Great food. Our favorites were the first day: Parisian Crepe was our favorite. Wonderful combination of cheeses and ham. Ordered the brie omelette the second visit and didn't compare. The Saltado with steak was also very tasty. The sauces super.

Michael's Kitchen Restaurant & Bakery is a casual eatery located on the main drag just north of Taos Plaza. The restaurant offers regionally inspired dishes with a playful twist and is known for its tongue-in-cheek menu. It's a popular spot for breakfast, with favorites like Huevos Rancheros and the indulgent Healthfood dish, which features french fries smothered in chile.
Everything here is comfort!! The food was amazing and beautifully plated. The wait to get a table is DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Will definitely come back for more when in town! I got the Stuffed Sopapaillas smothered with Green Chile...perfect 💚!
Miguel R — Google review
A great place. All the other plates (and comments from those eaters) were great, but my Rubin was small, not a lot of meat or sauerkraut. So watch out for that. But they have a bakery and the other looked great. Also great service.
Scott M — Google review
This is the best breakfast place I’ve had in a long time!! I got the juevos rancheros with Christmas chili and they were phenomenal. The green and red chile both had the perfect amount of spice. We also got the banana pancakes which were delectable as well. The ambiance inside was amazing too and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Daniel D — Google review
Went during lunch hour (12:30pm). Quite a line, BUT IT WENT FAST. Once we tasted our order, it was easy to see why the restaurant is so busy. The meal was delicious! I had the open faced hamburger with fries, all smothered in some of the best green chili I've ever eaten! My spouse had the Veggie tacos and they were great too! I'll be back when we come to Taos again.
Kent J — Google review
Best breakfast in Taos! Whatever you get will be made better smothered in one of their chilis! And don’t leave without a HUGE cinnamon roll! There is always a wait. It tends to move quickly. Well worth it !
Beth M — Google review
We finally made it here for brunch after trying on a Monday but it's closed so check their hours before you come as we came from Santa Fe. Got seated pretty quickly as it was around 10:20a on a Thursday ( when we left a little over an hour later there was a bit of a line). This place is known for their baked goods and their green chile hash browns.. apparently they sell out all the time so when we saw there were only 2 of their giant cinnamon rolls left we snapped those up. We also got a fritter, a pine cone looking raised donut, a cheese chile twist to go. For breakfast we tried their hash browns, breakfast burrito, blueberry waffle and omelet. Portions are pretty generous. The waffle was covered in sweet blueberry sauce like pie filling and tons of whip cream so it was too much sugar and sweetness for my mom and it made the waffle soggy. My omelet was filling and flavorful with Christmas sauce on top and I opted for a side of pancakes. It came with hash browns and 3 pancakes so I couldn't quite finish it all. The green chile hash browns were ok but kind of overhyped as it was just cheese and chile but not super interesting to us. Breakfast burrito was also filling and tasty. The fritter, raised donut and pastry was good but we felt the rolls were way too bready with not enough cinnamon and frosting for the amount of bread. We did learn that that is why people like them because their bready texture. So I think it would be good if you sliced these cinnamon rolls, toasted them then ate them with butter...so just a matter of preference. All in all it seems to be a very popular diner/bakery and we are glad we went but not sure we would drive an hour plus each way again just for eating here.

Imagine waking up in the enchanting town of Taos, heart full of hope and stomach growling like a feral raccoon in a dumpster behind a Waffle House. You seek refuge in the legendary halls of Michael’s, where breakfast dreams either soar gloriously or gently deflate like a poorly folded omelet. We began our culinary adventure with the cinnamon roll—a pastry so enormous it could’ve doubled as a flotation device in a flood. This thing was the size of a toddler’s face and had real potential. Unfortunately, it suffered from what I call frosting neglect. When you commit to that much pastry, you better bring the icing like it’s the final round of The Great British Bake Off. A drizzle won’t do—it needed frosting by the ladle. It was good, but not quite the life-altering sugar bomb I was hoping for. My wife ordered the “Something Different” omelet, which basically translates to “add green chiles and suddenly it’s brunch with a kick.” And kick it did—flavorful, zesty, and enough to make her do that slow, satisfied nod that says, “Yes. This is my truth now.” Now, my order—the breakfast enchiladas—deserve their own mariachi soundtrack. Tortillas? Perfect. Sauce? A savory waterfall of joy. Eggs, cheese, meat, and spice all holding hands in breakfast harmony. And just when I thought the meal had peaked… Out came the sopapilla. Let me tell you, this wasn’t just a side item. This was a profound culinary event. I imagine it was made by an ancient New Mexican grandmother who only appears during moments of pure breakfast righteousness. Light, airy, golden perfection. If angels made pastries, they’d taste like this. It didn’t just compliment the meal—it completed it. A true sleeper hit that came out of nowhere and stole the show like a breakout star in a 90s rom-com. And let’s not forget the service, which was excellent from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to see us—not the fake “hostess-at-the-chain-restaurant” smile, but real people being awesome. We were seated quickly, served warmly, and left feeling like beloved breakfast royalty. All in all? A solid 4 out of 5 stars. Would I return? Absolutely. Will I be bringing my own emergency supply of frosting next time? Also yes.

Definitely have breakfast here. I Loved my Breakfast Burrito. The hash browns were crispy in the burrito. Just enough eggs & meat. My husband had the French Toast. Coffee was perfect

Ranchos Plaza Grill is a must-visit in Taos, offering warm sopapillas and delectable blue corn enchiladas that are simply unforgettable. Located near the San Francisco de Asis Catholic Mission and Chimayo Trading Del Norte, it's a great stop for both food and sightseeing. The restaurant has gained high praise on TripAdvisor for its New Mexican cuisine.
Absolutely amazing! Really old area of Taos. The atmosphere is relaxing and intriguing and sits right next to the old church. The food was intoxicating. I had the stuffed sopapilla with beef and green chili, and I am so hooked. The beef tacos were delicious. When in Taos, eat here!
Stephani B — Google review
We really enjoyed our lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The sopapillas were the best ever. The burger looks small next to the heaping salad (which was a great salad) but it was thick and cooked to perfection. Very filling. I couldn't eat it all. Kids had a Xmas burrito and cheese quesadilla. We can't wait to return. We already know what we want to try next.
Stephanie T — Google review
Wow, finally Mexican food with flavor. Tamale, cheese enchilada, relleno were all good, and the taco was actually great. Beef fajitas had good flavor. Lunch portion was perfect, came with 2 flour tortillas. A little slow on the holiday weekend. Single bathroom at the bottom of the restaurant floors.

This Adobe style restaurant is just outside Saint Francis de Assisi Catholic Church in Rancho de Taos, New Mexico. My wife and I stopped after mass to check it out and decided to get a snack. We got the chicken nachos with sour cream and guacamole ($13). Talk about delicious. We shared this appetizer and left the restaurant with “Estómagosf llenos y corazones contentos”
Steve W — Google review
We went here based on the Diners, Drive-throughs and dives show recommendation. It was delicious. My husband doesn’t normally like Mexican food and even he loved it. Very authentic food.
Pam — Google review
We visited this place based on the high reviews. We were very disappointed. The ambience does not exist. The food is very ordinary, the location is few miles out of Taos. I do not know why people give such high rating to this place, when there are plenty of options with great tasty food? Do not go there.

De La Tierra Restaurant features inventive American plates, and an Asian-inspired atmosphere. It is home to the De La Tierra Resort, one of New Mexico's most expensively built hotels.
A little more on the expensive side but the food was worth it, very flavorful, the lamb was soft enough you could cut it with a butter knife, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine selection, and the low light romantic ambience was great for our date night. As pictured we got the fried calamari, lamb with curry sauce and kale, and crème brûlée. We would definitely consider coming back.
Mary P — Google review
Came here twice with a voucher from a sister hotel. Both times, nobody was at either host stand, so we seated ourselves. Service was very slow and inattentive. I don't know if it's because we were using a voucher or worse that we were from another property. The 2nd time, there were 2 servers but one kept disappearing to eat toast at the bar. Long stretches of time with no servers at all. Not sure if they're serving a separate dining area or if they're helping prepare the food, but it was disappointing. Either way, that's in the hotel for cutting corners and trying to save some money. The 2nd time, I was out of coffee but nobody came by to refill.. when I looked in the servers' direction, they had tunnel vision and didn't acknowledge that maybe I needed something. The food was just okay. For a place that's supposedly farm to table, it doesn't live up to the title at all. For example, the OJ wasn't fresh. The ambiance was nice with tropical trees and plants. But the mood was killed as I sat there waiting for long stretches of time waiting to order, waiting for more coffee, etc.
Alan H — Google review
Probably one of my favorite brunch experiences ever! I'm surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating. The food was phenomenal. We ordered the specials: blue pinon pancakes and the smoked salmon avocado toast. I think the pictures speak for themselves. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very relaxing with lots of plants and an outdoor amazon/garden feel. Definitely be sure to walk around the resort and check out the pool area and the cool ponds in the back.
B D — Google review
De la Tierra has to be the best restaurant in Taos, maybe New Mexico, hidden away in El Monte Sagrada, it offers excellent high end dining, with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Chris was our waiter, and while quiet and reserved, he offered excellent suggestions and advice pertaining to our meal. While at other restaurants, the staff would make small talk for the sake of it, when Chris spoke, he enlightened us to everything De la Tierra had to offer. We ordered the cornbread, which by far was the best cornbread I've ever had and I know how to make corn bread. The scallops and the tenderloin were excellent and they had an extensive cocktail and wine list. I highly recommend this place, make sure to make reservations. Side Note: Noah, who I believe was a manager was very courteous and professional, inquiring whether or not we were enjoying our meal, which of course we were.
Jerry L — Google review
Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. It was loaded with bacon, breakfast sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs and smothered with red chili sauce and topped with avocado. Quality of each of the ingredients were excellent. We also shared an almond croissant which was still warm. Very relaxing vibe in a quiet indoor garden type space as other reviewers have mentioned. Just try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Justin G — Google review
Unfortunately we never got to try the food because after being seated by the hostess, who did not seem to know what she was doing, no server ever came by our table. After waiting about ten minutes we left and had an amazing meal at one of the actual restaurants in town. We couldn’t even find anyone at this place seemingly in charge to complain to. The staffing seemed like a bunch of kids got together to “play” restaurant.
David L — Google review
2.5/5 - food was good, decor was nice if dated, service was very underwhelming. We had to ask for things numerous times. Seemed understaffed though the staff we did have was not attentive or personable. We went for breakfast, our group ordered the huevos rancheros, omelet, french toast, coffee and mimosas. All were tasty though the over easy eggs with the huevos rancheros had solid yolks which was unfortunate. We had high hopes for this place but I don't think we'll bother to return.

Ricky's is a hidden gem nestled in Taos, often overlooked by those who pass it daily. This cozy breakfast spot offers hearty portions of classic dishes like chorizo, bacon, and chili that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The welcoming staff creates an atmosphere reminiscent of family gatherings, making every visit feel special whether you dine in or grab a meal to go.
Ricky's was so delicious. I been to several places in Taos and be far this has been the best service. Our waiter Jake was so kind, kept us comfortable. The food came fairly quick & hot. The homemade chips and salsa were so good. Very tasty. I had the Tuna Melt & my partner got a Double halo. The double halo was huge. Biggest burger in Taos probably. If I had to grip about anything it would be the parking situation. Not many spots available. But that could also be a hit or miss. Try them out if you haven't.

One of the best breakfasts we have had in Taos. Love the sopaipillas! Staff was super friendly, we felt like we were family.
Daniel O — Google review
This place is a Gem! We stopped by for breakfast on a Monday when several other restaurants were closed. We loved it so much that we returned for breakfast the following morning. Service is great and very friendly even when they were very busy. Delicious specials. We tried the veggie omelet, breakfast burrito and salsa burrito. The red and green chile are both delicious. Denver Bronco decor.
P V — Google review
This was a score! My whole life I drove past this place, and I’ve missed out. 4/5 due to the oily hash browns, after reading the reviews seems like it’s normal! Ordered the mountain lover and it was heavy! Huge portion. The chorizo was good, bacon was good. The red chili was better than green in my opinion, the green had flour in it which is a rare find, not my preference. The inside is small and cozy. Very old school feel. I would eat here again if I had no other option. Ordered to go at about 9am, was offered to dine in which I thought was really nice. We got our food and loaded up, as we were doing so they brought us out our toast they forgot to include. Talk about INCREDIBLE customer service!

Jake was great! It was a bit busy, but he did a wonderful job taking care of my table efficiently and was kind the whole time. He's obviously a hard worker and is dedicated to providing good service :)) I'm still waiting on my food (I wanted to do this review before I forgot), but it looks good, and both the prices and selection were amazing, especially compared to other places around here. I spent a bit of time looking through different restaurants before picking Ricky's, and I'm pleased with my pick!!
Orev K — Google review
I was honestly blown away at the selection, creativity, and taste! The menu has so many good New Mexican options. The food tastes home cooked like your grandma made it. I might take a trip back up to Taos just to eat there! It’s a must try.
Joe G — Google review
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had, bar none. Their peanut butter pancakes were life-changing; so fluffy with a great peanut butter flavor. But what I'll remember the most is the amazing service. DJ Redhawk was not only attentive, but he was also incredibly friendly. He stayed on top of refilling our drinks and gave fantastic food recommendations. 3 of the 4 people at our table chose what he reccomended and we were not disappointed. He was also just generally a really friendly guy. I can't stress enough how good of a server he was. We'll definitely be back!
Micah P — Google review
We had a fantastic breakfast experience here and really enjoyed our interactions with the staff. Of everyone in Taos is this kind and happy I may just have to relocate. Excellent green chile tops a wide variety of perfectly cooked grub. A proud Broncos fan to boot. It seems to me that this is where the locals go. Will return as fast as life allows.

Elevation Coffee is a cozy local spot that offers traditional coffeehouse favorites along with gelato and burritos. The cafe has won the 2013 Taos people's choice award and is open seven days a week. It features specialty and premium coffees prepared by highly skilled baristas, including lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos. In addition to its great coffee selection, Elevation Coffee also showcases art for guests to enjoy while they grab a pick-me-up.
Amazing coffee. I can see why they won #1 for Taos’s best! Full bodied flavor coffee. Ordered a hazelnut latte and a pumpkin spice latte. Both were perfect with notes of flavor, not an overwhelming sweet coffee like the other places. Top 5 coffees all time for me, and I’ve tried a lot of places!
Joe T — Google review
Friendly staff and quick service. The locals know the name but it isn’t outside, just a coffee gelato pastries & WiFi sign. I saw previous reviews mentioned cash only, but they now accept cards including tap to pay. My latte was good, but didn’t impress, unlike others mentioned. My friend really enjoyed her London Fog and wants to return later. I wish I had more time in town to sit and try more of their menu.
Jonathan P — Google review
Solid service in a plain and relaxed space. The burrito was a lot bigger, better, and cheaper than expected.
George O — Google review
When I was stationed up in Tres Piedras May-August 2021 for Forest Service, this was my absolute favorite haunt in town. My main barista was named Mary and we became fast friends because she was so personable, helpful, hilarious, always eager to serve, and wonderful to just talk to. She left soon after my seasonal position ended, but all other baristas are equally kind and dedicated to pleasant experiences. They make fantastic drinks, carry amazing treats, and have the coolest atmosphere of local art covering the walls and always rotating. The owner has land that he uses the coffee grounds to help the soil and several art pieces in the place have coffee grounds saved by the owner, used by local artists. He has an eco-friendly focus, and the place also uses straws made from natural materials (the best ones were bamboo). Dog friendly (met several dog friends), indoor and outdoor seating, free wi-fi, and plenty of power outlets. Absolutely great place for students, business, and all around leisure with a lovely patio to boot. I miss this place and always try to stop in whenever I end up back in Taos. Please give it a try! (I will add more photos later)

Really neat place. Great atmosphere. I went in for Gelato and left after having a Mexican mocha and a cream cheese brownie. I just sat back and enjoyed the ambiance. The staff was very kind. They had gluten free muffins that looked amazing, but also baked goods and pastries that were just good old yummy with all the frills. The Mexican Mocha, was not only delicious, but a work of art all of its own. Will certainly return to be spoiled again. Delightful!

Elevation coffee is always consistent and on point. I like that they have real honey and let me add my own (oat) cream and honey. All the pastries and bagels look delicious too, but I can't tell you if they are because I can't eat dairy.

New building and same lousy service, incorrect food was provided, drove across town find out the Beef quesadilla was only cheese and poorly placement of food in the container

Possibly best breakfast burrito and burger I have ever eaten. Clean, great service and value. Feels like family operation with true pride in the service and product provided.

Okay so we decided to go after they finish the remodel, however, that was one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made, the parking lot is way too small, I almost got hit twice, just trying to park, then we went in the service was ok but we had to get our own drinks and everything and once we sat down, we realized the new booths are made out of 2 by 4 the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in on top of that, the tables were so close to the actual seat it felt like I had no room my boobs were literally resting on the table, that's how much room I didn't have! Then the food usually mantes on the other side of town is great so I assumed it was gonna be good here too, but man was I wrong. I got the stuffed sopa and the sopa was dry the chili had no flavor to it, the most flavor I got on that whole plate was the tomato that was a garnish! I ended up spending $35 of this and I wish I never wasted my money here! So much for the new remodel 😒
Kirsten O — Google review
1 start for the terrible service today, went through the drive through and it took them 20 minutes to get me my burrito, but they served the woman behind me who ordered after me parked her car 5 minutes after I paid, she got her meal 5 minutes before me, and to top it off I got no green chili in my burrito, dry as a bone. This is the first time in my life chowcart has let me down every other time has been stellar but, if someone orders and pays first and is obviously in a hurry because they're in the drive through that order should be priority before the person that walked in 5 minutes after the others meal was paid for.
Andrew J — Google review
This has been the worst experience ever I order a frito pie and when I arrived home,I realized they gave me only the chili sauce no meat, no beans, just plain chili and a side of Fritos.
Lisbet O — Google review
I find the food consistent and the service is always friendly. I was concerned when one time I ordered relleno burritos and they were a literally just a single relleno tossed inside a tortilla, dry as a dead bone. I've also had the Frito pie that is just chili sauce and fritos. I'm not sure whose idea of a Frito pie that was but for $7 I should at least get two beans.

This is a wonderful bakery and cafe. My wife (coffee drinker) loves their brews, I (tea drinker) appreciate their herbal tea selections, and we both love their pastries.

This is a small place with a lot of choices. They have excellent coffee and tea options. The food is great, but the pies win the prize. If you want a quiche or whole pie it's worth the price. They do "Pi Day" with Pies. Great prices with outstanding pies. My other favorites are the black sesame seed noodles, spinach & feta croissant, and deviled eggs. There's not much seating but it's a good place to grab a bite and enjoy conversation.

The potato leek soup was hands down the best potato leek soup I've ever had! The oatmeal latte was perfect and the deli selection, while we came late in the day, was good and our picks were filling and fresh! Definitely will come back

This is a really nice little coffee shop/deli located off the main street in Taos. Beautiful food that tastes great! Lots of to-go items for lunch as well. There's a decent bit of seating inside, and additional tables on the patio, although it's only counter-service. Top notch food and drinks!

Located at the heart of downtown Taos, World Cup Café is a cozy micro coffeehouse where locals gather and the owner is known for their expertise in crafting the perfect cup of coffee. Despite its small size, this café offers an impressive selection of coffee drinks. With limited seating both indoors and outdoors, it's a popular spot to grab a quick drink to go or savor your beverage while watching the bustling activity around the plaza.
We have visited Taos of many years and always go out of our way to experience the World Cup Café. Its unique atmosphere, perfect location, excellent location and great coffee, make it the most-do spot in Taos for anyone that enjoys a local experience.

Such a great coffee shop just around the Taos Town Plaza. Very small and compact and individual bar stool seatings for the inside but they have benches on the patio for more people. They serve all espresso drinks and a few pastry and savory options for food. The vibe was so nice and different to the city coffee shop atmosphere so I enjoyed it.

Such a blessing for Taos and for visitors like me. Tiny and terrific. The best Breve Latte I've had anywhere in the Southwest. The ladies who make up the dynamic crew are intensely cool. My Taos friend who has lived here over 40 years took me to the coffee house and what a gift it is. When I visit again it will be my first stop, even before my friend's house! Jonny, just kidding..... The day I showed up at opening they discovered that someone had broken a large window next to the door in the night, entered, and strangely only took a roll of quarters and the small change that was left overnight in the till. All towns have this scourge and the World Cup crew had it under control in mere minutes. The coffee must go on!

Nestled within the charming Sagebrush Inn & Suites, the Sagebrush Grill & Cantina is a delightful haven for food lovers and music enthusiasts alike. With its inviting ambiance, you can unwind by a crackling fire in the lounge or soak up the fresh air on the patio. The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Timothy Wooldridge, showcases local flavors with dishes like mouthwatering enchiladas and unforgettable nachos sourced from New Mexico's finest farmers.
We had a fantastic experience at Sagebrush Grill and Cantina in Taos, NM! The informal, relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a family outing. We started with the buffalo wings, which were deliciously spicy and perfectly cooked. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and it hit the spot just right. Our 7-year-old birthday boy, Anthony, absolutely loved his slider – it was the perfect size for him and made his day special. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance added to the wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend Sagebrush Grill and Cantina for a great meal in Taos!

Great open space in the cantina to have some drinks and eats. The nachos are HUGE and the local beer selection was solid. The live music from a band with great range made for a fun atmosphere in an old west setting. The patio outside has a great view of the mountain just behind the pueblo, perfect for sunset.

First time coming here... atmosphere was top notch with ambiance. Loved the live music! It is a holiday weekend so I always give grace to busy servers. However people that came in after us were served first. I had to go to the bar and get my own drink. My server was reluctant to give me her name. She said call her Banana Pepper Star. Ugh Hopefully it was a bad day for her. You never know what is going on with someone in their personal life. Food was on point! So delicious

I have no idea why this establishment has only a 3.9. It almost deterred us from going there. We are so glad we ignored the 3.9 rating! It was perfect! We each enjoyed an amazing meal and I basked in a delicious glass of Bordeaux. We loved the atmosphere and the ambiance. I'd give more stars if I could.

Food taste was good but not prepared as asked. I had salad with steak added. Meat not cook as requested and refrigerator cold. My husband's rice and mixed veggie were the same. I just don't see the best grill. But I can say.....beer was good.
Pamela O — Google review
Food bad, service bad, staff completely indifferent to mistakes. Staff basically ignored us unless we flagged them down, even being the only people in the place the staff couldn't be bothered to check on the table. First the waiter argues about diet coke v. regular coke with my 9 year old when she asks about the off flavor. Then she gets overcooked, old pasta, which she had asked for plain but they added cheese to. And when I say that, it was like the pasta that you don't get out of the pan and is hard and brown. Point it out to staff and they ask if she wants new pasta and when she says there was also cheese the waiter says "ya it comes with cheese". I mean it doesn't when you make plain pasta. Then the cook keeps giving us dirty looks after sending it back and sends under cooked pasta and the waiter comes back saying "plain pasta with nothing, better?" I could comment on the rest of the food and experience, but extrapolate that to a soggy appetizer and two adult entrees as well. Would never eat here again, terrible experience.
Justin N — Google review
We're guests of the hotel. Food and service was good at dinner, but the breakfast waitress was extremely rude with a nasty attitude. We got up and left before we ordered our food. No need to start off with your customers with a nasty attitude.

Our favorite spot in Taos! Live music every night with really amazing bands going on after 8pm. Bar gets crowded at night. Love that they serve local wine from vivac. Drink and food prices are reasonable. We loved all the food we had...salsa, burger and fries, chicken enchiladas, and the chile rellenos are our favorite. Katie behind the bar is awesome! Cute little joint in a cute little town. Service was great, barista helped me choose between two flavors and she was spot on. I got the pistachio rose and my wife got the iced chai with honey. I loved mine, wife didn’t care for hers but I liked it. Glad we stopped by.

I stopped in a couple of times while in Taos. I really wanted to try their Ethiopian as a pour over but they had none to try. I asked if they could, if I bought a bag of beans and they said no. The pour over I ended up with was very good but not an Ethiopian . :(. I went back for a latte and it was great!

To be fair, we stopped in for a coffee to go. The experience was pleasant enough for a crowded coffee shop. I had the Tres leches latte and ordered it because it was so unique. It did not disappoint. Nice flavors not too sweet. My daughter ordered lavender latte with honey and it also was delightful.

I loved this coffeeshop! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had a vegan burrito made with tofu scramble—was absolutely delicious and filling. Their coffees were great too! Bread Cloud in Taos is a fine place, honest and true. The sourdough, crusty and warm, speaks of old ways, of flour milled with care. Pastries, delicate yet bold, hold flavors that linger like a good story. The air hums with coffee and quiet talk, the staff steady as they move. You eat, you sit, you feel the morning settle right. Five stars for truth in bread.

Lovely cafe just as you drive in to Taos, off the side of the main road. We went at the end of their lunch service, so it was very quiet. We were new to the area and enjoyed our first experience here. A cute location with a nice outdoor garden area and a spacious patio. The food wasn’t mind-blowing, and I wouldn’t consider this a place you’d go for a truly excellent meal in the area, as they mostly play up the “location/aesthetic” card more than the food. But, if you’re wanting a breakfast spot with a bit of ambience which affords a relaxing conversational environment, this is a good spot for you. Great stop off coming back from a sunrise walk at Rio Grande Gorge. Zia breakfast and quiche both. Ery good. My hot chocolate with chilli and a shot of espresso was excellent. Lovely surroundings made it no problem to wander and sit in the sun till our table was ready.)

I love the white chocolate mocha with oatmilk. My daughter, with food allergies limiting her options, is usually able to find drinks (teas) and sometimes snacks. Customers have praised the delicious food, particularly the hamburgers and fries. The restaurant's convenient location near a park has been appreciated by patrons who found it useful when dealing with unexpected situations like a flat tire.
This location has an excellent seating area. Green Chile Cheeseburgers are awesome. This location is even bunny friendly.

Pretty disappointed. Blake's seems to be going downhill. Here are a few of my three gripes from this trip: 1) over the phone ordering system isn't very accurate or user friendly - I placed my order through the automated system, but then had to speak to person (foreign call center) to confirm it which was very inefficient, 2) the burrito quality and quantity did not meet my expectations - for an $8 burrito, there wasn't much egg, chile, or sausage, and 3) there was trash everywhere in the parking lot and outdoor patio. Maybe I'll go back, but again, I am pretty disappointed. Blake's, please don't fall to a Taco Bell or McDonald's standard. Have some pride.

Dear Northside Team, I wanted to share my experience with a recent lunch order that unfortunately fell short of expectations. I ordered the NM Green Chile Cheeseburger, but what I received was missing key ingredients—no lettuce, cheese, or any of the usual fixings. The bun was soggy, the patty tasted old, and it didn’t appear to be fully cooked. I understand that mistakes happen, but I hope this feedback helps improve consistency and quality for future customers. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, A

Despite not being regular patrons, many found this particular McDonald's to be their preferred choice due to its efficient service and pleasant staff. Overall, it seems that McDonald's continues to provide reliable and convenient dining options for travelers and locals alike.
We drove by and saw the adobe facade of this McDonald's and my kids were excited to visit mainly for the appearance. Besides the usual McDonald's taste, there wasn't much to enjoy here. The entire section of tables where the play area is located was completely closed off. There are signs about limiting seating to 30 minutes. We ordered from the McDonald's app and paid while inside the restaurant. Then my kids asked for the restroom entry code and were asked if we paid yet. I said "yes" and an employee went to unlock the door. I picked up the food when my name was called, which meant I actually ordered something, but we still received suspicious looks as we departed the counter area. Overall, the posted signs inside and suspicious looks made us feel unwelcome. McD's is supposed to be the most kid-friendly fast food chain. This is sad because the business from the customers keep the restaurant running and the employees paid. There was a nice long line at the drive-thru, though.

Went in to have breakfasts and asked to get the code to the bathroom. Was told I needed to place an order first (I get that, but we are both seniors and had been on the road for a while) it was hard to focus on what we wanted considering I needed to use the restroom. We picked the first thing on their counter item list (did not have prices). The overhead menu screens were not on. We were not asked if we wanted drinks, had to inquire to see if meal had them. After our cashier took the order, she instructed us to follow her as she had to unlock the restrooms (even though they had a key pad) WHAT in the World? They had to leave the front counter? Not a good way to do business. Also, half the dining area was closed off - don't know the reason? We will never come back to this location. Almost rude like and unfriendly. Food was excellent though but no more here.

The stuff you have read about this place is true. The owner is a monster. Absolutely horrible experience! We are Taos locals. Came in to get our two little girls an ice cream and play in the play place. After five years of it being closed, it had finally opened again. We made a special point to come with our girls so they could finally experience it. Unfortunately when we arrived they had shut the play space down again. I simply asked the owner what was going on because it had just been open earlier that day. He became incredibly agitated, started yelling at me, pointing in my face, and telling me to get out of the store and that he didn’t want to deal with us. I had to ask him to step back out of my personal space. He even followed me out into the parking lot. It was as if he wanted to provoke a physical fight. I never raised my voice to him or was combative in anyway. There is something going on with this man. It is absolutely unreal that someone can own a franchise like this and treat customers this way. It is astounding that he is still in business. Stay away from this McDonald’s. It’s uniquely awful!

Worst McD experience ever though extremely clean. Upon entering and waiting to order my father asked politely for the restroom code. He was told by white haired, manager (or General Manager) "You have to order something first." My family ordered a coffee, pie and ice cream. Later, I inquired where homeless people or those without money are supposed to go to the toilet. Isn't a bathroom a human right? He acted arrogantly, "I don't know." I've personally worked with a customer service speaker in California whose advice for "superior customer service" has appeared in books and who has spoken to countless cities and groups. This guy's McDonalds wouldn't ever make it, though to his credit, it was quite clean in the bathrooms I was told. Strange that he wouldn't give me his name, only saying, "Just call me Mr. Mcdonalds." I'd call him sometime else, Lol but it certainly wouldn't be Mr... Don't worry, I'll call corporate and complain. Some managers need to learn customer service and how to relate respectfully with customers.

For a Micky-D i guess they're okay. Some things are strange about this location: You can only use the Wi-Fi for 30 minutes. There's a code lock in the restroom and the staff has to open it for each person requesting to use it. If you're on the toilet, the lights will shut off after 5 minutes, so you have to find your way out of the stall in the dark. The outside dining area was closed The children play area was closed. Now I know why I don't go to Micky-D's often; there are better alternative

I walked into this location to use the bathroom. I saw a sign that says "for paying customers only." So I stand around googling to see if anyone had left a password. A man sitting across from me who had white hair and beard with a mustache says "Its for paying customers only, did you place and order?" I replied "not yet." I stand around for a short period, then the man hit me with a ultimatum "You need to leave this store, you can't be using the internet." I was baffled!!! I wanted to get into a heated confrontation with him but decided it wasnt worth my time nor the trouble. I think its the husband of one of the employees that works at the location because I saw them walk in together. Nonetheless I was heated, and the guy couldn't even understand the basic human need or understanding to use the bathroom. Overall im leaving this review for the people to see and hear about this because I read this isn't the first time this has happened at this location. -I hope you're senseless understanding of you're customers settles with you well.

Food was good but staff was rude and ignored customers simply asking for the bathroom code . Defiantly will drive through toast to the nearest mc Donald's when I want a big Mac.

I went to go order a big breakfast with pancakes and when I ordered the guy on the intercom was playing around and didn’t take my order correctly. confident that my order had pancakes. I went to work and I noticed I didn’t have any pancakes so I went back because I didn’t get any pancakes with my order. Unfortunately, when I was talking to the guy on the intercom, he put a disrespectful behavior and as I mentioned, I wasn’t going to pay five dollars extra for some pancakes if he was the one that didn’t take the order correctly. Then while approaching the window, they charge me a dollar for the pancakes for the difference right however, when I was about to leave when I receive my order, the manager told the representative to tell me that next time I had to pay for the pancakes. When the lady came out and told me this, I felt disrespected because it wasn’t my fault that the associate from the intercom didn’t place or put the order correctly on the system and was messing around. And this hasn’t been the first time that I’ve had to deal with bad attitude from one of the representatives or the manager from the McDonald’s location. I told the lady in the window for her to tell the manager to act more professional, and to not be putting her representatives on the spot telling customers that they are not right the manager of this location should have more training in regards of how to handle the escalations She shouldn’t have one of her representatives tell me what she told her and to create more problems

Blake's Lotaburger is a well-known New Mexico-based fast-food chain celebrated for its green chile cheeseburgers and other classic offerings. While some find the seating arrangements less accommodating, many opt to enjoy their meals in the comfort of their cars. The food is generally regarded as good and conveniently located, with efficient service being a notable highlight. Customers have praised the delicious burgers, particularly emphasizing the generous portions and flavorful green chili.
Our go to spot after the high road to Taos! Love Blake’s seasoned fries! They taste like curly fries just not curly. Shout out to the big guy!

Great food and customer service. I always stop by when in New Mexico, but I've had times at other locations that were frustrating. There was a pretty big teenager/young adult at th register (didnt catch his name) that we dealt with here, and he was very attentive. Zero real complaints about this location, but if I had to nitpick, I wish there was more seating inside, as we got hit with a monsoon outside.

Wish I could give a zero!!! Lady with the red hair was very rude and has a bad attitude. Very bad customer service!!!! That lady said in a very rude tone to the cook, "people are here" as tho we are bad or something. She was rude to my family member. We simply asker her if they were open because Google said they were closed. Thats when she started being rude and haveing a bad attitude. Came here before and lived it, but will most definitely not be returning, ever!!!

Ordered a Frito pie with cheese only and got the driest Frito pie I've ever seen. The cheese wasn't even melted. My wife told staff that the Frito pie was dry and there was next to no chile. The staff just looked at her with such lost looks in their eyes that I wondered if they were even comprehending what she was saying. Eventually, she paid for a bowl of chile and for six dollars, got a maybe a scoop of chile that filled no more than 1/4 of the tiny bowl it was served in. I was so perplexed that I asked the staff if they truly thought that was acceptable for six dollars. Again they all just stood there and I even accommodated them by asking them in Spanish (being as that was all they were speaking) to no avail. They all disappeared to the back of the building leaving customers unattended. Horrible service. Horrible staff.

Lotaburgers are an old-fashioned drive-in hamburger stand. The decor is basic white tiles with red tile trim. But!!! The burgers are outstanding!!! We eat at one of these while traveling in New Mexico without fail. We always order the Lotaburger with cheese and green chile. They are each made to order so they come off the grill fresh. The lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles are also fresh, crisp and cold while the burger (and the chile) is hot. They are a handful. Be sure to order the seasoned fries - they are delicious. The fries are made to order, too. If you see a Lotaburger, be sure to stop and order the meal deal. Come hungry!

Golden Piñon is a spacious and inviting restaurant that offers generous portions of delicious food. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The menu features delectable options such as omelets, pancakes, burritos, frittatas, and cheese enchiladas served with flavorful sides like potatoes and Spanish rice. Located conveniently for visitors heading to Taos Ski Valley or those seeking great food in the area, it has quickly become a favorite spot for many.
Great meal and service! We ordered to pick up and everything was ready on time and neatly packaged. The patio looked really cute so we’ll definitely be there next! Order: Beef burrito with green chile Sweet potato fries Fish tacos 1/2 Ruby salad Churros

BIG. VERY BIG. Those were my main thoughts when dining at Golden Pinon for a recent stay in El Prado. Portions are quite large here - do know that the "small" omelet is 4 eggs and the "large" is 6! Luckily, the current egg surcharge is not charged per egg. Good omelet! My club sandwich was not what I'd call a club--that's reserved for three layered slices of bread cut into quarters--but it was still a tasty lunch. Blueberry waffle was excellent.

Great New Mexican restaurant with vegan 🌱 vegetarian options. We ordered Huevos Rancheros and Vegetarian Blue Corn Enchiladas. They were both very tasty. Affordable prices for entrees for Taos area.

30 min waiting to be seat, 20 min, to be attending and 55 min after order to receive the food. Ridiculous amount of time to be able to get breakfast. I order a cup of coffe $4 regular size and no refills.

The food was absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been looking forward to eating here since I gave out gift certificates for Christmas. Finally we made it in and it was delicious! My husband and I shared the Chile cheese fries, Christmas, while we eating for our entrees. I had the frittata, which had the yummiest veggies and was seasoned really well. The potatoes could’ve been cooked a little longer but we’re tasty. My husband had the cheese enchiladas, Christmas, and the Spanish rice that came with it was amazing. I love that their chile is vegetarian friendly, it’s so delicious. I’ve also had their waffles, which are everything you hope a waffle to be. Their breakfast tacos are great too, the pico de gallo on top just takes the flavor profile over the top. I can’t wait to keep coming back here! 10/10 am going to recommend to all.

3 star rating is due to mismanagement. The kitchen and servers are not able to keep up with the number of tables in the restaurant. Although it only took 15 minutes to be seated, and only another 10 minutes to get drinks and order, it took 80 minutes more to get our food, and several more minutes to get silverware to eat it with. Sunday is a busy day and there is a sign warning of 40 minute+ wait times (which was only visible from our table). But 80 minutes is too long under any circumstances and you also have to try to catch someone walking by if you want water or tea or coffee or napkins or to go boxes or silverware or the check. The servers are overwhelmed and can’t be proactive (although they have great attitudes and are incredibly friendly). 5 stars on the food which was great once we got it. The atmosphere is nice both inside and out. In order to retain customers, they need to reduce the number of tables they seat to match the kitchen and waitstaff’s capacity to proactively serve people in a reasonable time frame.

Jaime and his crew are excelling in their new location and on their own. It was a few weeks after the Golden Piñon opened before we got to visit but we were very favorably impressed. This location is particularly good for those headed to Taos Ski Valley but it is also convenient for those looking for good food regardless of their destination. We live in Ranchos de Taos so we took the Blueberry Hill route rather than drive through town but it’s an easy drive from and through town as well. We did breakfast but past experience would suggest the lunch items would also be good. Just to be sure we’ll go back and review them as well. Lunch May 23,2024 Mid afternoon quiet and excellent food. Chicken Tacos and a Spicy Diablo sandwich. Great taste, quickly prepared and served with very good coffee.

Absolutely delicious food, attentive kind staff and great clean atmosphere. I had the Golden Benedict with an English muffin instead of croissant. My partner got a pancake bacon and egg meal. It was so good I snapped a pic halfway through so I could post a review. Please excuse the half eaten side, it was too good to not devour immediately.
