The Love Apple is a charming restaurant located in a former church, offering seasonal New Mexican cuisine with French influences. The rustic patio provides an intimate dining experience. The restaurant's interior is adorned with art, creating a unique atmosphere for guests to enjoy. The building's historical significance adds to the overall appeal of the dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant emphasizes regional, local, and organic home cooking, with a menu that changes regularly to showcase seasonal produce availability.
Love the ambience of this re-purposed old church! Each dish is thoughtfully crafted, though the excellent starter of grilled endives and leeks with a caper vinaigrette, bacon, parmesan, and a fried egg was the best for me. Have to have the super soft corn muffins as well, and the delicious pinon tart.

I really love this restaurant—I’ve been here before, and the food is consistently excellent. This time, it was especially busy, and our waitress seemed overwhelmed. I probably would’ve ordered another drink, or even coffee and dessert, if she’d had the time—or willingness—to take my order. When I did ask, she was noticeably rude. Later, she returned and said, “Oh, did someone already take your order?” which felt more like a cover-up for her behavior than a genuine mix-up. To her credit, she did offer me a dessert to go, which I appreciated—but the overall interaction still left a bad taste in my mouth. I get that busy shifts can be stressful, but basic courtesy really matters. That said, the food here is still fantastic, and I’ll be back—but I hope the service is better next time.

What a gem! We were visiting Taos and decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Luckily we were able to get a reservation. In the dark, very hard to find. But once you find it, the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and inviting. Service is attentive and prompt. Food was out standing, especially sea bass. A must try. For appetizers, We had the corn bread, which the restaurant is known for, and grilled mushroom - savory and well flavored. Our second entree was the duck dish with mole. The duck was well cooked and prepared. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and time at the Love Apple.

If you're in Taos, New Mexico, this should be a stop. Daughter did the research and proclaimed it to be a MUST DO so we did. The setting is almost like a hidden gem. It's tucked back in a gravel parking lot! Once you walk to it, it's very warm and inviting with Whispering curtains and colorful seating. ENTER! and wow very small entry and please make sure you have a reservation (ours was 1 month in advance) because again, it's not likely a walk in will be seated (management please correct me if I'm wrong). Daughter and I are seated and immediately served water with menus. Server arrives literally 10 seconds later. She is so informative and friendly! We order a bottle of red and the famous blue corn muffins with dill/parmesan butter to start. Daughter not enamored of the red wine so I graciously accept the residue (I'm not driving). The blue corn/yellow muffin appetizer is a wide eyed enjoyment. Literally crumbles in our mouths and the 2 butters slathered on top is worthy of an Oscar. Next up: The beet/grapefruit/avocado salad which is so gorgeously presented it should be a fascinator (that's a British hat). It's scrumptious! The sweet, tart and bland meld well! And now the next Oscar! My fried avocado tacos and daughter's encrusted sea bass makes an appearance ONLY to be devoured in nothing flat. The tacos were (first) like a painting on my plate! Green, purple, orange embedded in a soft brown shell. One bite folks and I'm wondering if I've had my last taco. ABSOLUTELY SUBLIME. every taste melts with each other! Nothing overpowers each ingredient. That's what you call perfection! Daughter let me have a bite of her sea bass and I was absolutely blown away by the non fishy taste (do you look for that too?). So just to be completely, 100% overboard YES! DESSERT! We order the flour less chocolate torte and man, the minute it's in front of us I smile because this presentation suggests it's going to be delicious and IT IS. whoa! Chocolate taste is sliding down your throat with a thunder you haven't experienced. It's unmatched and please! Pick up the homemade whipped cream with your fork for a further bounce. Our dinner here was one of the best! Please note: it's cash only and that's cold, hard cash. No cash apps accepted. Well worth it!

Cute little restaurant in Taos. Very unassuming from the outside. Hard to make a reservation if you don’t have a US phone number, as they only confirm via calling you back after you leave them a message. So I called on the day through WhatsApp and luckily someone picked up and booked us a table. I did try messaging on their social media first and explained the limited contact options, but didn’t hear back. We had a salad, corn muffins (which were the main standout for us), a tamale, tacos, and a crumble dessert. Plenty of veggie options. All decent, nothing earth shattering. A good option when in Taos.

Fantastic service and delicious food. The atmosphere inside is pretty calm and romantic for a nice evening dinner.

Favorite place for a nice dinner in Taos. Call for reservations. Local flavors in amazing combinations, beautifully plated. Good wine and great service. Cash only.

What a charming, lovely, fine dining experience! This restaurant has taken the fine dining to a different level with their unique combination of fresh and locally sourced ingredients. So satisfying! The decor, the mood, the lighting, and the music made this a perfect location to celebrate a special night. Our waiter patiently assisted us choosing the meals that suits our appetite being vegetarian. We shared Seasonal fruit, local greens, pecans and warm goat cheese salad followed by Love Apple Tacos (vegetarian) and a tasty dessert. I'd LOVE to be back here again one day.

Mexican restaurant
Nestled just a block south of Taos Plaza, La Cueva Cafe is a charming Pueblo-style eatery that offers an authentic taste of Mexico. Owned by a couple from Mexico, this cozy restaurant prides itself on serving up fresh and natural dishes daily. The menu features traditional Mexican delights such as ceviche Mexicano, enchiladas de camaron enchipotladas, chicken mole enchiladas, and flavorful fajitas.
This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. They are particularly accommodating to vegetarians, and their sauces are outstanding. Additionally, they serve breakfast items until noon, which is perfect for those looking for a break from New Mexican cuisine. However, keep in mind that this is a small place, so it’s best to arrive early to avoid long lines.

Had chicken mole, and veggie enchiladas. Really fast service getting seated, getting drinks, and chips salsa and guacamole. The prices were better (lower) than some other places. The chicken mole was mild not anything strong or otherwise objectionable. The server was happy and pleasant. Sat outside. Some dog was barking at another table. People don't train their dogs and then bring them into close proximity to strangers. Veggie enchiladas tasted fine. Had rice and beans on both plates. Very predictable and was what we wanted. There is one NA beer, corona. Some vehicle noise since the street is a bypass for the nearby busy intersection.

The actual restaurant itself is small but they have a cute outdoor area with tons of umbrellas. If you are someone who gets cold was, definitely bring a sweater. As for parking, there is public parking at the Municipal lot a block down. It is relatively inexpensive ($2.25/hr) and convenient to the restaurant. Now let's talk about the food.... I ordered the sampler combo with chicken enchilada, chili relleno and beef taco with green chili. My husband ordered the chili relleno also with the green chili. Wow! Sooo good! Our favorite was the green hatch relleno chili. The rice and beans were also a great as sides. Not saying the beef taco and chicken enchiladas weren't good as they very much were. It was just that the relleno was just sooo good! Our waitress was also great! Just be aware, they only have one restroom for both men and women so you may have to wait if it is busy. Overall, we were so glad we stopped by this little restaurant and had an amazing meal.

Now that I’ve traveled around New Mexico, I realize just how good La Cueva is. Well versed in Gluten-free and helpful ad our daughter had celiac. No nonsense service. They know what they are doing and happy answer questions. I have not had chile relleno in years and this did not disappoint. My 15 year old did not believe me that it is good, but loved the chile relleno here. Very flavorful. My son loved his chimichanga and our 22 year old had the huitlacoche (corn fungus) enchiladas. Great flavor. We had huitlacoche while living in Mexico and were converted. Lots of cheese! Good but heavy. There is a lot of cheese on the food in NM. I love it but can’t eat this way everyday. 😂 Indoor and outdoor seating.

Recommended by the owner of the Inn we were staying at, and I’m so happy we went. My brother, myself, and our mom who’s in her 80’s dined in. Excellent hatch chile rellenos, chipotle shrimp enchiladas, and fish tacos were had. The salsa and guacamole were also excellent. Really really loved the salsa. Wish I could bring it home. Service was fantastic. All around great place!

Visited La Cueva Cafe for the first time. It was recommend to us. Parking is not easy for the location. We had to drive around to find one. They have very little inside seating so if you don't mind sitting outside then you're good to go. My wife is a Mexican food lover tho she's not Mexican. We ordered chips with guacamole and that was good. We decided to share a combo fajita plate, chicken and steak. Order came out and for some reason the fajita iron skillet wasn't sizzling. It usually sizzles but not this time. The meat was slightly warm. Not to my wife's liking. That's not good news. Rarely if ever has my wife complained about her Mexican dish. Right away she looked at me and said, "the steak is tuff and the chicken is dry." I was stunned! She continued, "I don't care for it." Oh crap! She took the fajita meats out of her tortilla and added the grill veggies instead and ate that instead. Now I have to admit the steak was tuff. Difficult to bite through it for sure. On top of that, the rice given to us was a half cup size. I will never understand why at most Mexican restaurants they give you such a small amount of rice. The beans were served sauce less. Not a good presentation worthy of a 5🌟 rating. A little disappointed.

La Cueva is the cutest little restaurant in Taos. If you are shopping in the plaza and are looking for an authentic New Mexican meal, be sure to add this to your list! My boyfriend and I ate inside of the very small dining room. Which was cozy and perfectly heated as we were there on a chillier day. We ordered the fajitas and then for desert my boyfriend had the mango cream chimichanga. I have a dairy allergy and they removed all the dairy without issues. It was all delicious! The waitstaff is wonderful and attentive- we will definitely be coming back! *There is a service charge for credit cards, so bring cash or a debit card*

Welcoming itty bitty restaurant packed with flavor and well plated dishes. Enjoyed the recommended seafood enchiladas in a chipotle cream- sounds odd but trust, the chicken fajitas with mole and chicken mole enchiladas to go- nicely packed. We arrived an hour before closing and still had time to eat at a relaxed pace with time to spare! Outdoor patio seating available, indoor has 4-5 tables. Highly recommend. Cash forward or 4% credit card fee.

The Coffee Apothecary is a trendy and cozy cafe in Taos, known for its excellent coffee and unique ambiance. The space combines old and new Taos vibes with Eiffel chairs adding to the charm. They roast their own beans, ensuring top-notch quality. The cafe offers a lavender latte made with locally grown lavender syrup, as well as a welcoming atmosphere during stormy weather.
Cute little joint in a cute little town. Service was great, barista helped me choose between two flavors and she was spot on. I got the pistachio rose and my wife got the iced chai with honey. I loved mine, wife didn’t care for hers but I liked it. Glad we stopped by.

This is the exact vibe I want in a coffee shop—great selection of caffeinated and non-caffeinated bevies, cute crunchie ambiance, and friendly staff. If I lived locally, I would be here way too often. Thank you for being such a wonderful find!
Toni L — Google review
I stopped in a couple of times while in Taos. I really wanted to try their Ethiopian as a pour over but they had none to try. I asked if they could, if I bought a bag of beans and they said no. The pour over I ended up with was very good but not an Ethiopian . :(. I went back for a latte and it was great!

Service was 10/10 and so was the atmosphere! We ordered iced matcha lattes with honey and cold foam which were delicious! The prices are amazing and drinks aren’t overpriced. We highly recommend!

Register staff fit the cliché of the bored, cooler-than-you coffeshop vibe. Barista was super friendly. It's a great spot, lively crowd, and excellent coffee.
Marshall K — Google review
To be fair, we stopped in for a coffee to go. The experience was pleasant enough for a crowded coffee shop. I had the Tres leches latte and ordered it because it was so unique. It did not disappoint. Nice flavors not too sweet. My daughter ordered lavender latte with honey and it also was delightful.
DW P — Google review
I loved this coffeeshop! I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had a vegan burrito made with tofu scramble—was absolutely delicious and filling. Their coffees were great too! The mole mocha was less sweet than the el tigre mocha, and I preferred that. The place is always full of locals meeting up and having conversations, such a lovely environment. The two baristas were also very kind and great at their job.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little coffee shop on my road trip. It’s a cute spot with unique lattes you won’t find anywhere else, a nice relaxing space to sit and chill for a while, and friendly baristas. If you’re in the Taos area, it’s a must.

Mexican restaurant
Orlando's is a vibrant Mexican eatery located in Taos, New Mexico, known for its open kitchen and colorful ambiance. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Northern New Mexican and Mexican dishes, including enchiladas, fish tacos, and margaritas. Guests can enjoy their meals on the patio when the weather is pleasant. Orlando's is popular for its Sayulita fish tacos named after Sayulita, Mexico where the owners spend time annually.
Orlando's is a not so big or roomy place to dine but honestly, when the food is served quickly and it's good... Who cares! If you don't mind the closeness and the wait time then make your way to Orlando's. It's worth the trip and the wait. After a 50 minute wait we were finally seated. Started off with a couple of Sangria's. That was good. Afterwards the wife ordered the queso and chips. Queso was good. Our server was efficient and quick as well as pleasant and attentive. Wifey went with the Combo Plate and I chose The Smothered Shrimp Burrito. Wifey was forking her dish like as if she was digging for gold and I was busy trying not to share my meal with anyone. Our meals were on point. The posoles (they don't serve rice here) were nice and soft with good flavor. Plenty of shrimp huddled together in my burrito. Wifey just kept digging in. Then, it was dessert time. I'm a flan guy. The lady at the table next to me was enjoying a flan dish, so I asked... "How's the flan?" Her response, "oh it's good!" So you know the rest. Wifey ordered a brownie cake and I Da Flan. Capped the dinner off with dynamite sweetness and out we went into the night with big smiles and inflated waistlines. They're opened for dinner from 5 to 9 so get there no later than 4:30 if you want a seat with the first rounders or you'll have a 45 minute minimum wait time. A 5🌟 Experience!
Roy A — Google review
The service was friendly and fast. We had fish tacos and frito pie. The fish tacos were very solid ly prepared but a bit boring flavor wise. I did enjoy them and would order them again. My companion said his meal was nearly flavorless, very boring. The guacamole and salsa were good. The red chile was much better than the green chile. The iced tea was very watered down. Plenty of parking. If you eat outside it can be really nice but traffic from the road is loud.
M. O — Google review
There’s no denying that Orlando’s is a popular go-to for both locals and tourists. There was a long line waiting to be seated as the restaurant opened for the evening, and the host did a nice job of maintaining a smooth flow. Service was good, out on the packed patio, and it’s an inviting place to relax. The food is a bit average — no exceptional dishes, the night we dined there — and it doesn’t do justice to northern New Mexico’s distinct flavor profiles, despite its claim of having recipes passed down through generations. Still, it’s a fun place for a hearty meal on the northern outskirts of Taos.
Path F — Google review
Orlando’s is an absolute gem for anyone craving delicious Mexican food. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal or a fun night out. We tried the chicken fajitas and the Taos burger — both were exceptional! The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly cooked. But the real star of the show? The fries. Hands down the best fries I’ve ever had — so good that I had to order an extra side just to keep enjoying them. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Great service, great vibe, and even better food!
Dilorom A — Google review
We arrived before opening time, 10:30 on a rainy Saturday. 3rd to be seated yet the restaurant filled up quick. Efficient and attentive staff with water refills and finished plates cleared. We enjoyed the Grilled shrimp & relleno combo with green chile-deeelicious! and the blue corn beef tacos. The relleno is fried to a crisp, filled with ooey gooey cheese and remains crisp, not soggy. The posole is flavourful alongside the beans. The restaurant isn’t as tiny as reviewers say. One WC in the back next to the itty bitty kitchen pushing out incredible plates! Cash forward or a 2.5% credit card fee. Worth the wait & Enjoy!

Delicious chili relleanos!!! Would absolutely recommend and return 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Best Mexican food in Taos. It was recommended by our campground host. I had a chimichanga, incredible! My husband had the tamales, fabulous! We also tried their avocado lime pie…awesome!

Recommended by friends on our first trip to taos. Took a few trips to make it when it was open but finally went. Got the combination plate and it was the most delicious plate of food I've had in a long time. The wait was long (~40 min) but they were serving alcohol while we waited outside by the fire pit. The wait was not bad at all once we ordered a drink and started hanging out. Hands down some of the best food in Taos.

Located in Taos, Antonio's The Taste of Mexico is a beloved spot known for its traditional Mexican cuisine. Chef Antonio Matus has been impressing both locals and visitors with his inspired dishes, earning the restaurant a place among the top chile hotspots in Taos. Despite its unassuming exterior, once inside, guests are greeted by enticing aromas of carne asada and chicken enchiladas with green chile and mango.
Really great food! Very high quality food and presentation. The salsa served with our meal was delicious! Ended up buying some hot sauce as well. Try the coffee!

We had the chile relleno en nogada and pozole. Overall food was good but not stand out (to me). Service was amazing. It was my first time having chile relleno en nogada, so I can't properly rate it... but it was quite good. It was a heavy meal and I'd only recommend it if you appreciate meat with fruit and cinammony flavors, because that's what this dish mostly is. Sherry cream sauce was flavorful and the pomegranate seeds gave nice balance to everything. I liked it, but would not seek it out. But again, I am generally unfamiliar with this dish. Pozole was a huge portion and nice and warming. Waiter gave me lots of spicy sauce to add to my meal. He was lovely to all guests in the restaurant and had a lot of heart.

It was pricey but pretty good. Hubby got the mango enchilada that was featured on the Diners, drive-thru and dives show. I got the chicken fajitas and we each got a coke. It came to $70 with the 20% tip. I thought the chicken would be a little more flavored. Our local Mexican restaurant back home had more flavor. No complimentary chips or salsa. In fact, it was $10 if you wanted them too.

I had the signature Chilli rellano and it was amazing. Such a flavor explosion. I've eaten here a few times and all the dishes have been great! I waited a long time to be brought my desert but I had the cream cheese chimichanga and it was amazing as well.

Antonio’s cuisine is elevated from standard Mexican, presented beautifully w/a healthy & seasonal flair like the grilled peaches chicken enchiladas w/green chili sauce & apricot salsa

Absolutely incredible pozole! I found Antonio’s thanks to ChatGPT while road-tripping through Santa Fe, and it did not disappoint. This was easily one of the top 3 pozoles I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The red chile chicken version tasted unbelievably fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of rich flavor. The homemade tortillas were out of this world—thick, warm, and perfect for soaking up every drop. 20/10.

Stopped in for a late lunch, on the recommendation of our rafting guide. It was delicious! I had a special and my hubby had a burrito. Service was great!

My husband and I discovered Antonio's on a recent trip to Taos. The owner, Antonio, said they had been in Taos for 23 years, but in other locations. All I can say is, where have you been all my life? Our food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely - intimate enough for date night, with jazz music in the background, but also friendly enough to make friends with the tables around you (which we did). Antonio and his wife were very present in the restaurant, and visited our table frequently to check in on us. I mentioned that I had been looking all over Taos for sopapillas because we can't find them in our part of the world. He said that as far as he knew, Antonio's is the only restaurant serving them at night. They were absolutely perfect - very large, with light crispy exterior and pillowy soft inside. Along with the requisite soft butter and honey, they were perfection and I already wish I could have them again. In fact, Antonio's was so good the first night that we went back again the next night and ordered the exact same things. Be aware that their hours are non-traditional as they are closed Friday-Saturday. They also have a policy for children to ensure a safe and relaxing evening for everyone. If your little ones are active, you may want to consider eating at one of the comfortable outside areas. We have visited Taos many times, and seem to struggle to find great restaurants. Either they are more fussy than we prefer, or we find a favorite only for it to be gone the next time we're in town. Crossing our fingers that Antonio's is here to stay!

EXCELLENT experience last night. BEST CHEESE CURDS my wife and I have ever had, and she's from Minnesota. The bacon jam they pair them with is delicious. They really put the SWEET in sweet potato fries as well, with a light coating of brown sugar. After tasting them I left dumbfounded why more restaurants don't do that. Beer selection is great with reasonable prices. Service was great as well. My only MINOR critiques would be the burger, which was a little dry, and that they need to offer small vs large sizing for the cheese curds. Can't wait to come back!

I am working in town and Decided to stop by the Burger Stand. Let me tell you this was one of the best decision I made since coming to Taos. The environment, the tunes, the food the beer and the bartenders were all on Point. I’m a 94 Baby and the vibes here perfectly fit. The music and the atmosphere was on point give yall a pat on the back cause this experience was amazing. I shall come back with more of my crew next time thank you Burger Stand.

This was our first time here. We loved it! Great service, amazing food, and great location! We had green chili cheese burgers, fries, salad, and a side of onion rings. So good! We highly recommend it!

Went here to see the baseball playoffs. It's a little bit of a dive. More a watering hole than an eatery. We plowed through it but not really our kind of hangout. The people were very nice and we did enjoy ourselves. We watched the game, had a couple of drinks and ordered cheese curds which were good. A 4.5 🌟 experience.
Roy A — Google review
I like this place but the food wasn't as good as I remember from a few years ago. The "hot" burger wasn't really that spicy in my opinion, nor was the spicy chicken sandwich. The wings were really good though. Nice beer selection as well.
Preston B — Google review
It has improved a lot from how it's been the last couple of years since it sold, but the food is still super slow to come out even with very few people there. The level of the food isn't what it used to be under the original ownership, but the fish and chips was decent with good cole slaw. The bartender was pretty cranky on taking the order, and kind of matches the vibe of a mostly-empty spot at noon on a Saturday.

We came to the ale house today for my mom’s birthday lunch. While waiting behind another family that was ordering a gal got in line behind my family and the waitress tended to her before my family, who is next in line to be served. Luckily the lady behind us said to the waitress “help them first because they were here first” When it was finally our turn to order the witness was checking her personal phone while taking my order. Not looking at me at all checking her texts while trying to hear my order. We were a party of 3, myself, my mom, and my 2 year old son. Two gentlemen walked in 5-10 minutes after we ordered and they got their food first. They got 2 burgers and fries. (This is important) my mom and I both order the fish and chips. Nothing for my son because they no longer offer hotshots. When I approached the serve about the gentleman getting their food before us, she said fried food takes long. Yet those gentlemen had fries with those burger. I was so upset I almost asked for a refund and left. But before I could she was walking over with the food. The ale house used to be an awesome place. Now the service is always terrible. The wait time should not as long as it is for there only being 4 tables. We were there on 7/23/25 between 2-2:30 should there be any camera footage to review and see the waitress on her phone and helping customers behind us. I will be sure to tell people how terrible this place is. Being a local I’m really disappointed. Hire better help or train this gal better. We will not be back and i would advise others to read reviews and take them seriously before wasting money at this place. The bathrooms are also disgusting. They smell like piss heavily.

Located at the heart of downtown Taos, World Cup Café is a cozy micro coffeehouse where locals gather and the owner is known for their expertise in crafting the perfect cup of coffee. Despite its small size, this café offers an impressive selection of coffee drinks. With limited seating both indoors and outdoors, it's a popular spot to grab a quick drink to go or savor your beverage while watching the bustling activity around the plaza.
We have visited Taos of many years and always go out of our way to experience the World Cup Café. Its unique atmosphere, perfect location, excellent location and great coffee, make it the most-do spot in Taos for anyone that enjoys a local experience.

We stopped by World Cup Cafe for a little change of pace with our morning coffee. Cute little place, and glad we stopped. The staff was very nice and friendly. The coffees and banana bread (warmed) were all good. Cannot ask for more in a little coffee/cafe spot! Recommend World Cup in Taos, NM.

Great atmosphere and very nice staff. Coffee was very good. I highly recommend going here.

Such a great coffee shop just around the Taos Town Plaza. Very small and compact and individual bar stool seatings for the inside but they have benches on the patio for more people. They serve all espresso drinks and a few pastry and savory options for food. The vibe was so nice and different to the city coffee shop atmosphere so I enjoyed it.

Quick and easy! There was a long line but it went super quick. We ordered two coffees and it came out fast. The mocha was delicious and the Americano was great. I also really liked the atmosphere.

Such a blessing for Taos and for visitors like me. Tiny and terrific. The best Breve Latte I've had anywhere in the Southwest. The ladies who make up the dynamic crew are intensely cool. My Taos friend who has lived here over 40 years took me to the coffee house and what a gift it is. When I visit again it will be my first stop, even before my friend's house! Jonny, just kidding..... The day I showed up at opening they discovered that someone had broken a large window next to the door in the night, entered, and strangely only took a roll of quarters and the small change that was left overnight in the till. All towns have this scourge and the World Cup crew had it under control in mere minutes. The coffee must go on!

Elevation Coffee is a cozy local spot that offers traditional coffeehouse favorites along with gelato and burritos. The cafe has won the 2013 Taos people's choice award and is open seven days a week. It features specialty and premium coffees prepared by highly skilled baristas, including lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos. In addition to its great coffee selection, Elevation Coffee also showcases art for guests to enjoy while they grab a pick-me-up.
Amazing coffee. I can see why they won #1 for Taos’s best! Full bodied flavor coffee. Ordered a hazelnut latte and a pumpkin spice latte. Both were perfect with notes of flavor, not an overwhelming sweet coffee like the other places. Top 5 coffees all time for me, and I’ve tried a lot of places!

Friendly staff and quick service. The locals know the name but it isn’t outside, just a coffee gelato pastries & WiFi sign. I saw previous reviews mentioned cash only, but they now accept cards including tap to pay. My latte was good, but didn’t impress, unlike others mentioned. My friend really enjoyed her London Fog and wants to return later. I wish I had more time in town to sit and try more of their menu.

Solid service in a plain and relaxed space. The burrito was a lot bigger, better, and cheaper than expected.

When I was stationed up in Tres Piedras May-August 2021 for Forest Service, this was my absolute favorite haunt in town. My main barista was named Mary and we became fast friends because she was so personable, helpful, hilarious, always eager to serve, and wonderful to just talk to. She left soon after my seasonal position ended, but all other baristas are equally kind and dedicated to pleasant experiences. They make fantastic drinks, carry amazing treats, and have the coolest atmosphere of local art covering the walls and always rotating. The owner has land that he uses the coffee grounds to help the soil and several art pieces in the place have coffee grounds saved by the owner, used by local artists. He has an eco-friendly focus, and the place also uses straws made from natural materials (the best ones were bamboo). Dog friendly (met several dog friends), indoor and outdoor seating, free wi-fi, and plenty of power outlets. Absolutely great place for students, business, and all around leisure with a lovely patio to boot. I miss this place and always try to stop in whenever I end up back in Taos. Please give it a try! (I will add more photos later)

Really neat place. Great atmosphere. I went in for Gelato and left after having a Mexican mocha and a cream cheese brownie. I just sat back and enjoyed the ambiance. The staff was very kind. They had gluten free muffins that looked amazing, but also baked goods and pastries that were just good old yummy with all the frills. The Mexican Mocha, was not only delicious, but a work of art all of its own. Will certainly return to be spoiled again. Delightful!

From hearty breakfast burritos to lighter options like acai bowls and avocado toast, there's something for every palate.
Fresh flowers. Gluten-free options. Don’t be afraid of the line. They work quickly. They make their own bone broth. Fresh salads. Amazing gluten free bread and sourdough. They even have a blue corn bread. Salads, sandwiches, soups and bowls. A nice break from all the cheese I have been eating ay other places;). Fresh. Delicious. We went two times while in Taos. I have to say that this meal was divine. I wish I had more room for more food. OMGOODNESS, this is the best breakfast I've had in awhile. I highly recommend anyone interested in scratch cooked wonderment. Thank You to The Kitchen Wizard who prepared this meal and the lovely staff for attentive service and conversation. We tried 3 items on the menu for lunch, Mussels in a thick broth, Paella with seafood and sausage and beans - all 3 were excellent and rich in flavor and depth. The wine list was minimal unfortunately, but the house red worked and palatable, the red sangria was very pleasant and a nice presentation. Parking is available and service was delightful. Another “out of the blue” winner and well worth the visit. BTW: it was lovely to see the place was dog friendly and all the dogs were very well behaved. You will not be disappointed.

The place is popular among locals and travelers alike for its delicious food and attentive service. Some recommend trying the Chai tea with soy or the vegan-friendly options like Tofu scramble.
SERIOUSLY? How can you give this place less than 5 stars. Its super incredibly amazing. We didn't have to wait though. The staff was friendly and attentive even though they were busy. The food is so so so so good! Orange juice was watery, but I will forgive that. Great iced tea (I like it strong). If we had stayed longer, I would have come back and had lunch. This was better than some of the higher class over 50 a plate restaurants we ate at here. HAVE TO GO. INCREDIBLE. Great job ALL! Food was delicious. I just have no words. Come hungry. The value and portions are just the best. (Also if there's a wait, its worth waiting for).

So glad we chose to come here. The food was great. I opted for the sweet potato fries instead of home fries with the tofu scramble and I think it was the perfect choice. Huevos rancheros and cinnamon roll were really delicious as well. The only reason I choose 4 stars is because the use of plastic and styrofoam was very excessive - even though we (2 people) dined on the patio they still brought 4 sets of plastic cutlery.

Everything is fresh made from scratch and the biscuits are fluffy and delicious. This is a small place with a lot of choices. They have excellent coffee and tea options. The food is great, but the pies win the prize. If you want a quiche or whole pie it's worth the price. So… i’ve never been here for breakfast before, just for a quick lunch, but their burgers are great and the green chili stew is the best, but breakfast here…?! Sooo freakin good! I wouldn’t do anything else to this meal. The chilies are so perfect and distinct between green and red. I had the Chilaquiles my husband had juevos rancheros…absolutely perfect, definitely recommend.

Tldr - Service is very casual, food is good. Single restroom Place with a cool vibe. The food was pretty good as well. We all enjoyed the food we ordered. As mentioned, there was a single server working the entire restaurant. She was nice and pleasant. Just hard for her to get around the entire place on her own. Also, if you need the restroom during your visit there may be a line for it as it's a single restroom for the establishment.

Looks like a hole in the wall passing by, but it's quite a large restaurant inside. Features a variety of cuisines--the onion rings, truffle fries, brisket quesadilla, and french dip were all enjoyed. The hamburger not as much, but that was my fault for not realizing that I should have chosen diced, not smothered, green chiles.
Becca F — Google review
The wife and I were searching for a place to eat other than Mexican food which Taos has plenty of. We decided to try the Trading Post Market. It's a hole in the wall looking place from the outside. We've passed it a number of times never imagining it to be a restaurant. There isn't many alternative restaurants outside of Mexican food in Taos. Anyway, we arrived and to our surprise it's a cute spot once you're inside. Bigger than it seems from the outside. It's sort of divided between the bar side and the restaurant. They even have a back area with books and comfortable seating if you want to read or hangout with a glass of wine. Well we took a look at the menu. It's loaded with BBQ dishes, some New Mexico alternatives, sandwiches and even a pasta dish or two. I started with the chili stew soup. It was recommended to me by our server who was very nice and gracious. She mentioned the chef being an award winner 🏆. Hmmm, ok I'll try it. The chili stew soup was delicious! Best stew soup I've ever tasted. So flavorful, so delicious and filling. I had already ordered the BBQ brisket in Mac n Cheese dish. My wife chose the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. I can't begin to describe the delicious flavor from both dishes. This place rocks! Everything was better than good. My compliments to the chef. So, don't be put off by the outward appearance. Just step right in and order anything on the menu. They're friendly and waiting for you. They have beer 🍷 wine and cocktails. The food will overwhelm you. 5🌟 experience.

The waitress here was really great, she made some good recommendations! I got the marinated beet salad with chicken and the trading post chowder. Everything tasted delicious! The chowder has a great smokiness to it and the chicken was perfectly grilled! Hit the spot for sure! I will be back!

This is hands down our most favorite place to eat. Ky is a five-star chef, and his assistants are equally as amazing! The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. The service is wonderful! Always brought with a beautiful smile and great conversation! I love the 100s of cookbooks on the wall and being able to browse them while we are waiting for our dinner. I truly hope you give them a try!

The food was good and the service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and made good suggestions to try.

My sweetie and I hardly ever go out to eat in this town, we usually just cook at home. However, the Trading Post is a staple that draws us out regularly. Great, well rounded menu, good prices, and such talented cooks in that kitchen! 🤌The food is always cooked to absolute perfection and the service is great! Shout out to the new server who was there tonight, you were awesome! And shoutout to the whole staff for always providing a great experience all around. Excellent place to go if you are having a shit day and need a pick me up🍔🌮 All will be well at the Trading Post. P.s. 💌 Awesome selection of cookbooks to look through in the back dining area. And dont you forget to peep that dessert refrigerator before you go. 🍰🥇

Visitors can also find unique gifts at this cozy establishment. The cinnamon roll comes highly recommended, and the savory pastries are also a hit among patrons. The owners are known for their warm hospitality, adding to the inviting atmosphere of the café.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon during our short visit to Taos. Ordered a decaf Dolce de Leche Frappe - very yummy and decent prices (coming from California). Staff was friendly, and atmosphere was very cute and decorated.

Catching up on reviews/pics for our NM trip last month…. Cafe Sagrado is a cute little coffee shop in Taos, NM! Not much in the way of food, but the lattes were very good. Nice vibe in the shop. Recommend you give it a go…

My partner and I were exploring Taos on foot and stumbled upon Bent Street, which is a great experience all together, and this spot fits in perfectly to the cute, charming area. It’s a small space, but it’s optimized pretty well! I think there were about 4 or 5 tables to sit at. There’s a lot of cool, hip little things for sale, from hand drawn temporary tattoos, to floral pre-rolls, to glass boba cups. They have a decent selection for drinks and goodies for the size of the place. They were out of cold brew by around 4PM, which makes sense because the area was really busy. We ended up getting an iced americano, which hit the spot. The service was very quick and friendly. Another review I saw complaining about the size of the place and lack of bathroom was frustrating to me because 1. its a small business in the old town of Taos, so of course it’s not gonna be a huge Starbucks sized location. I think the space is optimized perfectly for what it is. 2. bathrooms don’t have to be provided really anywhere, and in fact, I saw plenty of signs in different businesses nearby that there aren’t public restrooms, and they even pointed out where you can find some.. Support small businesses! These things are out of their control!

I stopped here and randomly grabbed one of the gluten free maple pecan cookies. Oh my goodness, it was delicious perfection! I want to drive 2 hours back to Taos just to get another one. My husband also tried it and said it was one of the best cookies he’s ever eaten (and he’s not gluten intolerant).

Went in to the coffee shop on October 5, 2024 about 3:00pm to order a coffee frappe. The owner was standing behind the counter with an employee. I asked if they had a coffee frappe. The owner grabbed a menu and slammed it down on the glass counter top and said; "Order from the menu!" Well, I knew I was not wanted there, so I turned and walked out of the shop. The owner is trying hard to work her way 'Out-of-Business' and I can truthfully say she is successfully on her way !

Had never been so I stopped to grab a smoothie. Not super great for the price. It was winter & they seemed to have insufficient heat. Small seating area w/ 6 tables, 2 seats a piece and a bench. There's a space up front that would be perfect for a couch or large table but it's empty. Some touristy gift shop items for sale. I had to use the bathroom & was informed that they didn't have one?! How can you sell coffee & not have a bathroom?! I was informed the only available bathroom was 4 buildings away & across a parking lot. I had some mobility issues today so it wasn't fun limping in the cold to a grotty public restroom that looked & smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Shortest toilet I've ever sat on & homeless people hanging out getting warm. Good for them. Nothing against that but unreal for a pricey, Cold cafe with not that great of atmosphere. Wouldn't be a great place to work or relax. Good art and nice plants are the only positive things I have to say honestly. Won't likey return since there's plenty of cool spots around

Stopped for a coffee and dessert on a Sunday afternoon. The service was stellar! The proprietor was courteous and very helpful. The coffee was just right. Mine was an iced Americano with cream. My wife had a hot Americano. We enjoyed a fresh double chocolate brownie for the dessert course. A great little coffee cart. Do stop for a cup and a treat!

If you’re all right, waiting two hours to have breakfast or if after 25 minutes somebody grumpily tells you you know it’s gonna be 20 or 30 minutes before we can get your food. Do you still wanna order or being told that you’re a liar because you set yourself, even if you didn’t or being told you don’t know how to restaurant runs your idea of a good time by all means enjoy Sol Café. Considering this is the second time within a year, I’ve walked in this place been ignored. Waited long time and didn’t get served. I’m guessing this is Norm. And talking with others seems to be true and not just a personal thing. The food actually decent pretty good, but the service is incredibly harsh. I don’t eat out other peoples restaurants to be treated as if I should be honored. Frankly, no one should feel that way In a small community like Taos it really isn’t necessary since there are many very good restaurants with very good service. Who would love to serve you breakfast lunch and dinner what’s up attitude being the main course let alone a side dish. It’s been more than a week since this happened, I didn’t want to post right away, you and other others such as the owner shouldn’t know. I hope they will improve.

Little cafe with great food. Went for lunch and my sandwich was so fresh, perfect size portion serve with a small salad. Waiter was very sweet.

If you are walking around town and need a pick me up, Sol has great coffee and Italian sodas! Plenty of coffee options, including iced and alternative milks. Big fan of the coconut Italian soda, it’s very refreshing on a warm day. They’ve got some tables and chairs to relax with your drink. Owner is extremely nice and welcoming! Even gave our pups a little whipped cream as a treat!Don’t miss stopping by Sol

Great little pop up coffee stall. Right under a big tree in a quaint little courtyard, the coffee is great and the service was friendly too. Awesome little spot.

Fabulous small coffee purveyor. Simple. Straightforward. Delicious. Outstanding barista, a lively conversationalist (if that's what you want, and let's face it, what's better with a great espresso / latte than a chat?) Located in the heart of Taos, it's a welcome spot to sit in the open courtyard and enjoy one of life's pleasures.

We were in Taos for four days and I wish we had found this place on day one. The coffee is excellent and the proprietor is kind and engaging. Highly recommended.

Try the Chocolatado! ! ! ! John is the BEST barista in Taos! He always remembers my name, laughs at my jokes, makes just what I want! I’ve enjoyed espresso in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Portland … but John and Poco a Poco are the BEST!
