Kaunos Ancient City is a fascinating archaeological site located in Dalyan, Turkey. The city features various structures and impressive tombs carved into the mountainside. Visitors staying at the nearby hotel can enjoy stunning views of the Calbis River, Antique Kaunos City, and Lycian King Tombs. The town of Dalyan offers a charming atmosphere with riverside restaurants serving delicious fish dishes and small bars for enjoying Turkish coffee.
Spectacular site about 2 miles across the river from Dalyan. Entry is 3 Euro and the site itself is expansive and still being excavated, and new treasures are constantly being uncovered. Situated just on the Edge of The delta, with slack water in the lake Mosquitos could be a problem at times but not during my visit in September. You will see plenty of Turtles swimming around the lake too. Great Views from the Acropolis. Be careful not an Easy Hike.
Dave T — Google review
Absolutely amazing ancient ruins. Quite a hike from one plateau to another but worth it. The boat across was 100TL for two people return. And the pancakes at the cafe on that side were amazing. Well worth a visit. If you go into the cemetery and walk straight on, then take a little turn right at the fence you can get a closer look at the rock tombs.
Dianne H — Google review
An amazing relic of the past. I'd like to give everyone a little information here. There is no need to get a boat trip to visit this place. Walk along the front in the direction of the sea. (Left). You will see a restaurant on the other side. There is a row boat service to take you to over. The cost is insignificant. You will see a single road on the other side. Simply walk along it for approximately 20 minutes and you will arrive at Caunos. You can not miss it. It's an easy walk for most people. You do have to get in and out of the boat, obviously but you will be helped. These are pictures of the crossing point.
James B — Google review
Well worth a visit to the extensive ruins. Took the car ferry as foot passengers from river by Hotel Portleva. Fare 20 lira each way (cash). Then 15 minutes easy walk on a road. Entry fee 140 lira each again cash only. Visited from 4pm on 1 October and only a very few people were there. The amphitheatre is being renovated but still accessible. The lower level by the river is river is accessible by an ancient paved path which is uneven in places -saw a few big lizards. It’s possible to cross the river by row boat from the town centre but this means a longer walk on the other side.
Nigel H — Google review
Kaunos is a must see if you’re in the area! So much amazing history to see and gorgeous views over the water! Remember to bring water as it’s HOT up there… they have opened a little cafe to grab a drink too.
Kylee K — Google review
Kaunos is an ancient city located in the province of Muğla, Turkey, near the modern town of Dalyan. Once a strategically important port city, it is now situated several kilometers inland due to the silting of its harbor over centuries. The city is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and is known for its unique blend of Carian, Lycian, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine influences. There is quite a lot of restoration work but it doesn't detract from what you see. There are bilingual signs outlining what each structure is and it's history. All in all, it's like the entertainment quarter for the ancient inhabitants of this area. Entry is 150 Turkish Lira payable at the top. The walk up is very dusty and hot. I recommend good walking shoes, a hat and water.
Jodie E — Google review
4th visit. This time I decided to walk to the highest point where the castellations are. It was a difficult ascent which took about 30 min's beyond the ampitheatre. Don't think I'd do that walk again but if you're up for a challenge go for it. The views are panoramic once at the top
Ian B — Google review
Nice historical place with splendidviews! The ticket costs 150 turkish lira per person (only cash).

Beach
İztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, has a rich history of conservation efforts thanks to the dedication of June Haimoff, who fought against resort development and established the Kaptan June Sea Turtle Conservation Project. The beach is a haven for loggerhead sea turtles and offers visitors the chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
The beach is great. But with few hours hike is the best. We parked cars on last bigger parking place bit over beach and walked around by marked path up/down to beach.
Michal S — Google review
Awesome place to visit. You can also see a real turtle hospital. Not a for-profit turtle farm but a place where they really save these animals.
John S — Google review
Lovely beach , water was nice and warm in August . Calm enough to swim. Soft golden sand . Good facilities including changing rooms and showers. Tour boats can bring you here and also stop off to show you the turtles in the sea just before you arrive.
Zaen J — Google review
This is such a beautiful beach. Lovely fine sand and crystal clear waters. There are plenty of amenities such as changing room huts, toilet facilities and a pleasant covered cafe that does a good selection of soft drinks and beer. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are sunbeds and parasols and they're pretty cheap.
Keith H — Google review
Fantastic beach absolutely 5 stars for everything. The beach is lovely sandy and clean. The sea is warm and remains shallow for a long time. They have a very nice bar/ restaurant with lots of choices for very low prices. The entrance is very fair at 100 TL. The sun-beds are cheap compared to other beaches at 200 TL per set. People are nice. They have clean toilets and dressing area and a life guard on watch as well as a first aid post. Pretty great, we will go again.
Tim M — Google review
Beautiful place and a must of you are in the region. It's a pity it's dirty with so many people.
José S — Google review
The beach is beautiful and wide, long enough and spacious. Very fine sand and shallow water. The entrance fee is cheap, 100 tl, but beware that there is a gate up the road from the beach, that closes at 7 pm, so you have to leave before or risk getting stuk there overnight. This is because the turtles come at night.

(Translated by Google) When you consider the number of people and the price, it was very affordable. We stayed in September 2024 for 2500 TL per night. The rooms were good. The furnishings were a bit old, unfortunately, the cleaning could be better because the pillowcases, sheets and covers were not changed, they did not smell clean, they smelled bad. There is only one air conditioner in one room and it is a bit noisy. Ms. Emine helps with everything. If you do not have a car, places like Migros and the bazaar are 5 minutes away on foot, but a car is required for the beaches because there is no beach nearby. (Original) Kişi sayısını ve ücreti düşündüğünüz de gayet uygundu Eylül 2024 de geceliği 2500 TL den kaldık, odalar iyiydi eşyalar biraz eski maalesef temizlik daha iyi olabilir çünkü yastık kılıfları çarşaflar ve örtüler değiştirilmemiş temiz kokmuyor du, kötü kokuyordu. Caretta Caretta Restaurant is a must-visit spot in Dalyan, Turkey. Located near the unique sandy Dalyan beach at Iztuzu, known for its rare Caretta Caretta turtles, this restaurant offers delicious manti and meatballs. The friendly and attentive staff create a welcoming atmosphere, making it one of the best dining experiences in the area. Visitors praise the quality of food and reasonable prices compared to other options in Dalyan.
We ate here x3 as a family of 4 during our stay. This family run restaurant, has fast, friendly, excellent customer service and a competitively priced menu with lots of choice. They served the best food we experienced in Dalyan. They have live music on Friday nights with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend Caretta Caretta, you will not be disappointed. A+++
Patrick T — Google review
Great service and good the owner of the restaurant is very attentive to each customer and recognises you when you return the food is great all freshly cooked I would recommend the Fajita and the clay pots. If you don’t like mushrooms you can request them to not be in the dish 😂 3 visits within a week. We will be back next year or even before we go home
Shaun H — Google review
Can only say this was best restaurant we went to without doubt. Friendliness of staff, welcoming comfort all top notch. However main reason for going is always the quality of food , the price. Again both these top quality at really decent price. Dalyan seems a lot more expensive throughout but definitely Vue for

Great quality food, good for couples, kids and families. The business is run by an amazing family, the owner was so humble and fun to be around. Made our dinner special 😊 Amazing taste and ambience.

Cafe
If you're on the lookout for a charming spot to unwind, Dalyan Iz Cafe is an absolute must-visit. This delightful garden cafe has become a favorite among expats, thanks to its ever-changing selection of homemade baked goods and delicious filter coffee. Since new ownership took over in 2018, the cafe has maintained its reputation for quality food while separating from its previous gallery business.
Lovely cake. Latte not strong enough for me. Charming relaxing atmosphere. Nice touch putting WiFi password on table. Sorry it wasn't open Thursday as we would have paid a second visit

I got stung by some beings while swimming in Marmaris. The people at this cafe were of so much help by providing me with the first aid. It was quite surprising and heartwarming to receive care from these people. Wish I had the time to try something from their shop!
Ali S — Google review
Under new ownership from the start of the 2018 season, Freddy and Louise having separated the gallery business and taken it to a more central location, not far away. Still a lovely café, serving quality food. I had an 'Istuzu', tuna salad, which was very nice. My wife had the 'Chill Iz' salad, which she found a bit hot. We'll have to go back to try the coffee and cakes. Looks a bit bare inside without the amazing art but the outside seating is still a lovely environment. I hope the new owners do well.

Nestled along the picturesque river in Dalyan, Kordon Restaurant has been a beloved dining spot since its establishment in 1987 by childhood friends. This family-run gem boasts a dedicated team, including Duran, Apo, and their son Firat, who have mastered the art of hospitality. Known for its diverse menu featuring mouthwatering steak and chicken shish alongside fresh seafood like grilled squid and shrimp, Kordon caters to various dietary needs with warmth and care.
Nice to sit here by the river to have breakfast before getting public boat to beach or row boat to visit Caunos which we did. Nice friendly waiters. The coffee was not strong enough for me and could do with butter on the toast. The mixed grill was so generous and the aubergine dish was my favourite meal of our holiday, so tasty.
Sam Z — Google review
Nice restaurant overlooking the river with superior service. The staff is extremely kind and helpful describing the dishes. The sea bass was incredible! I highly recommend the sea bass entree. Minus one star because the calamari and lentil soup needed more seasoning. The evening setting was nice surrounded by trees and the river.
BLS — Google review
We tried a local delicacy here, Blue Crab. They're small and a bit fiddly to eat but very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is located on the river front. Good choice of Turkish meals. We opted for meze and prawn casserole and fish casserole.
Nichola C — Google review
This used to be our favourite restuarant in Dalayan hands down, was slightly dissapointed this year. Amazing views of river and excellent service, attentive and charming as ever. Food tasted fantastic, but portion sizes are small with sides particularly dissapointing - no rice or chips with clay pot for example. Very expensive these days compared to other restuarants with equally charming views and staff. Such a shame because other than these small things, would have been a perfect experience.
Sabrina G — Google review
A very nice turkish restaurant close to the border of the river serving great specialities in a gently mood. People is friendly and honest in suggesting the right thing to eat. Great bread! Great humous!

The Casa Nova Restaurant is an excellent riverside spot with gorgeous views of the rock tombs. The menu offers international cuisine prepared with local ingredients, and there are also a variety of breakfast and lunch options. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Very nice place, we had lunch there, arrived by boat, had a few starters and a fresh fish, everything was delicious, the staff is very nice and friendly, reasonable prices, great atmosphere.

Food was not up to the price charged whilst the service was incredibly slow and the orders were inaccurate, the owner did supply a complementary bottle of wine but I would have rather had a quality meal to start with
Steven W — Google review
Incredible service with very welcoming staff! We set by river, and the unpredictable rain tried to take the moment of the evening, but the staff was so accommodating, and moved our table to an angle where we could still enjoy the river view and stay protected from not getting wet! The restaurant has the beat view in Dalyan to enjoy your meal, with classy ambience. The food was all very tasty along with a well recommended wine by the waiter who served us. An evening well spent with my daughter and we’ll definitely be back 🙌🏼♥️
Kajals K — Google review
It was a terrible place unless you have more than 3 hours to have a dinner with your friends/family with overrated price list. We ordered a grilled fish and waited at least one hour at the table without having any order. Then we talked to restaurant manager and he said that the fish had not prepared for the grill and they thought "we enjoyed our time/atmosphere at the table without our order. 🤔😭" After that response, we decided to leave the restaurant at that time. When we went to restaurant there was only 2 table that had to be serviced and I can't imagine order waiting time what would be happen if they work full capacity. The place is also quite high priced when you compare other neighbour restaurant menus and their services. I strongly recommend that you need to think twice or more before you book a table at this restaurant.
Atacan S — Google review
When visiting Dalyan do not miss the opportunity to eat here. Booking is essential during the summer months such is the popularity of this place. They excel in fish and seafood. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and not too pushy. We only had chance to visit twice while we were here, both times the food was superb.

Lovely location right on the river front, we were a party of eight with a picky eater. The staff were very attentive and gave our picky eater the time and attention to find what they wanted. Well done.

Whether it's their freshly baked pide and pizza or their flavorful kebabs and mezze dishes, you'll find something deliciously satisfying at this authentic eatery.
We wanted to choose a juicy meal because a member of our family got sick. Especially the soups and boiled meats were very delicious. We bought two kelle-paça soups, one chicken broth soup and boiled meat. A home cooking restaurant that has won the appreciation of even the shopkeepers in the area. The employees were also very attentive. I don't know why it got such a low rating on Google and we didn't have the opportunity to try their pitas, but we recommend their service. Prices may seem expensive for local people, but the taste was better than expected. Unfortunately, I cannot provide photos since we took it with us as a package.

This place was just waht we were looking for, amazing traditional Turkish food at very very reasonable prices. Service was great with ice cold drinks as soon as you are seated and piping hot delicious food served very quickly. The family of staff were amazing and friendly and were not pushy at all like most other restaurants that don’t let you pass without talking to you for 10 mins! The food was great and so tasteful. We are a family of 4 and we each ordered a different type of food from each selection, everything was of high quality and freshly cooked where you can see at the back of the restaurant. I can’t recomend this place enough. If you are looking for delicious traditional Turkish food, this is definitely the place for you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We will be back soon! :)

This eatery is open all year around, and frequented by locals, and in the know tourists a like. Food can be ordered of the display or of the menu. Friendly staff wil,l if need be explain the food. Cautious ! be aware of agressif owners ! Worst Service ever ! they don't even deserve 1 star. I was treated like a dog. they are a shame to turkish hospitality ! I would never go there again and I would strongly advice not to go there for your safety. they are so many better places in Dalyan. And waitress are so much nicer anywhere else. I looked at their menu and I ordered a full roasted chicken. the picture showed a full chicken, rice and chips for 35 tl. other places in Dalyan serve 1entire chicken for 30 lira...but I didn't mind the 5 lira extra. I asked the woman if she can replace chips with salads and she said yes. when she served, she only brought half a chicken! I didn't know what to say - The brought me half chicken for more than the price of a full chicken. and believe me ... it was just a simple roasted chicken. nothing fancy... So anyway, I just wanted to eat ....but the other problem is there were no chips and no salads. When I asked politely for the salads. she became angry at me and she said I will give it you ... only to you! and to no one else ! she acted like she was doing a favor and she shouted very loud at me. I founded this very insulting. especially when she agreed to give me salad at the beginning: she was definitely trying to rip me off...but the fact of getting angry and screaming at me was too much.... I decided to leave the table. one man from the restaurant came to me aggressively and hit me on my chest. this man, seemed to be the owner of the restaurant...when I was waiting for my meal to be served I was talking with my girlfriend in english on the phone. I saw him many times wanting to get up and come to me ....I saw the woman who took my order (maybe his wife) running to him many times to keep him sat on his chair. but.. now he jumped at me, hit me aggressively ....he spoke turkish and said in english "this is my country!!!" Go !!! Goo.... in a very angry manner. he kept being angry and violent and wanted to continue...Probably to beat me again. He tried to call Somebody.. his friends? The police ? After that .. very quickly the street filled up of people surrounded me. One guy came from nowhere hit my phone and he was acting aggresively and asked me to stop recording! The behviour of the restaurant owner indicated that he doesnt like foreigners in his resturant or country. I have never been treated like that in my whole life! I think this is not a human behavior... especially in a restaurant where even if you dont treat well a client...at least don't beat him! is this really turkey ?? I will never go back there. And I will write a complaint on this restaurant. so This behavior will never be tolerated. this is unacceptable. they should be closed and not serve food again. beating a customer is savage! this is a disgrace. if you wanna take your chances being tricked with the food you ordered and maybe get beaten....then go there. personnaly, I would skip this place and try other very nice restaurant nearby. I have recorded a video that I will keep as evidence. unfortunately I cant post it here..

This is a sea food specialized restaurant. The price/performance ratio is very high. The foods are delicious and I don't pay much. Especially try Blue Crab... Get ready to pay cash, credit cards are not accepted

Very happy. Fresh seafood - plus the local blue crabs. Could do with some chilli - but that's the problem with all the restaurants in dalyan.

Mud Bath Dalyan is a popular destination known for its therapeutic mud baths and nearby sulfur spring, believed to have medicinal benefits for various ailments. Visitors can enjoy covering themselves in the mineral-rich mud and then washing it off with hot spring water jets. While the smell of sulfur may be strong, many find the experience enjoyable and relaxing. The surrounding area is beautiful, offering a unique and rejuvenating experience for those looking to indulge in natural spa treatments.
Our visit to the mud bath in Dalyan was quite an experience! Upon entry, the host explained everything thoroughly, which was helpful. However, having lockers for valuables would be a great addition, as we had to leave our belongings on a table under CCTV surveillance. They do provide changing rooms, though. The mud bath itself was fun and left our skin feeling incredibly smooth. Just a heads-up — there’s a large hole about 2 feet deep in the middle of the mud pool, so watch your step. The entrance fee was very reasonable at around £2. After the mud bath, there’s a guy with a hose who can rinse you off with hot water — a nice touch, considering the actual shower area is a bit far and only has cold water. We finished off with a dip in the hot water swimming pool, rich in sulphur .. a perfect way to relax before heading to Turtle Beach. Definitely worth the visit for a unique and budget-friendly experience!

The Dalyan Mud Baths are a fun and unique experience — perfect for a laugh, great photos, and surprisingly good for your skin. The mud is rich in minerals and followed by a warm thermal pool. Entrance is cheap (around €2), but the facilities are basic. Important tip: Arrive before 9 AM or after 4 PM — most tourist boats arrive around 9–10 AM and it gets very crowded and noisy. Early visits offer a quieter, more relaxing experience. Not luxury, but totally worth it if you come prepared!

Save yourself 6000tl and cross with the ferry to get to the mud baths for just 20tl per person. (Cross at: Dalyan Denizkızı Feribot İşletmesi). From there it was a 500m walk to a gate at the back entrance of the mud baths. Call the number on the gate and the man will come open it within 2 minutes. Entrance into the bath is 190tl per hour. An hour is long enough. It was a great experience with lovely facilities. I would highly recommend this experience just don't fall for the over priced tourist traps along the way. It's possible to easily navigate your way there alone.

Lovely place. I got here from Dalyan by walking 15 mins northwards alongside the river, nice gentle stroll flanked by villas and hotels on the one side and the river and cafés on the other. Eventually you get to a dead end, where you continue on the jetty passed loads of moored boats, right to the end (100m or so). There's the ferry which costs 20TL to cross the river. Don't fall for the taxi mafiosi guy who sits next to the ferry port and offers you a crossing for 1000TL... He must think we're all thick and don't do our homework 🤣. Once you paid the ferry guy his 20TL, 2 mins later you're on the other side. Walk for 2 mins up the road and on the left side there's a gate with a phone number. This is basically the back entrance to this place, as most of the customers are being shipped in by boat (for a small fortune I guess). Call the number and the owner answers and after 5 mins or so he comes and opens and leads you down to the mud-bath complex. The entrance fee is 190TL which you pay at the café. The mudbath complex itself is quite nice, although it could do with a few thoughtful improvements. There is the 20sqm mudpool, which is about knee deep, but beware of the steps under the water and the uneven surfaces, which you cannot see. A simple improvement would be to install a handrail at the steps, that would help an awful lot. Then there's a shower and toilet complex about 20 metres away, which is functional and reasonably clean. After you've done your mudbath thing you can dip into the thermal spring which is a small 12sqm , 1.7m deep, 40°pool which has pebbled bottom and a few rocks on the floor- beware not to knock your toes on them. At the entrance to the thermal pool there's a lady with a hosepipe who makes sure you don't carry and mud into the Cristal clear water, quite effectively. There's then also a rudimentary mud walk, but I wouldn't recommend that as beneath the mud are unpleasant sharp stones, which make it impossible to actually walk the walk- this needs improvement. Next to it all there's the cafe with drinks and ice cream and pancakes... a 0.33l EFES beer is 190TL and a cup of mint tea is 100TL. So overall it's a nice little thing to do, that doesn't break the bank. Please note this is not the more commercialised mud bath up the river in the Koycegiz Lake, called Sultaniye Kaplicalari but the much smaller and lesser known Camur Banyosu.
Helmut K — Google review
We came here as part of a day trip on the boat excursion. Funny. But once it dries in you can actually feel your skin going tighter and moving less than Botox 😂 It’s not the mud bath that knocks 10 years off you… it’s the freezing cold water to shower in to get it all back off. Be careful on underfoot, the amount of people sliding, slipping and falling was dangerous to be honest. After scrubbing the mud off, go for the “thermal bath” it’s not good, but it’ll help you get the last of the mud off
Stuarty B — Google review
Fun! Clean (lol, yes despite mud) facility - they hose it down. Toilets. Power showers. POWER! Careful! Mud was rejuvenated but oh so icky to stand in!

Leah A — Google review
We had an excellent time at the mud baths and thermal pool – such a unique and memorable experience! The mud baths were great fun, and once it dried, you could really feel the difference on your skin – smooth and refreshed. After washing off, slipping into the warm thermal pool was pure relaxation, the perfect way to unwind. The whole experience felt both fun and rejuvenating, and it’s definitely something I’d recommend to anyone visiting. A must-do!

Vegan restaurant
Saki Restaurant in Dalyan is a seafood specialty restaurant that also offers meat dishes. The location of the restaurant is beautiful and it stands out for its unique menu, which features daily-prepared dishes based on available ingredients. There's no fixed menu; instead, guests are taken to the food prep area and given a description of what's available. Most of the dishes are vegetarian or vegan-friendly. The service is friendly and relaxed, allowing guests to enjoy their meals without feeling rushed.
A truly incredible restaurant. It’s our first time in Dalyan but visited here with a friend who knows all the best places in the area. Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed. The lack of menu makes for a wonderful experience - each table is invited up to the counter and taken through all the dishes, made fresh that day. I’d say there are a good 30+ to choose from - veggie, meat and fish options. We’re so taken with the place we have visited three times (!!) and love its charm. The couple who run this restaurant are attentive and polite, with two sweet little dogs (Milo and Lady) who parole the tables and wag their tails in the hope of a morsel of meat or a belly rub. All the dishes are incredibly flavourful and taste so fresh. We will really miss this place when we head back to the UK and if you’re on the fence as to whether to visit, don’t give it a second thought. My only recommendation would be to book in advance as it can get harder to nab a table past 8:30 (only proof of its popularity). If you’re looking for a lovely, well-priced meal that feels authentic, look no further.

Nice looking place where the menu is achieved by standing over a huge array of starters while the wait staff patiently explain what everything is. Starters/meze are the thing here, and what we had was the finest we have eaten in Dalayan. Courgette fritters, a chickpea dumpling thing (I don't have the descriptive flair of the waiter) then a lovely herb yoghurt salad. The mains by contrast were fine but tending towards the average. We should have had another starter really instead. No mention of sweet - we didn't ask either, but clearly its not a massive thing here. A fine and large family of well-kept cats keep patrol while you dine. They might deign a morsel or two from you if they are kind to you. It's a smart looking place in a good location with a great view across the river. So, its not going to be the cheapest. Our meal for two with a couple of beers each came in at around £65 (they accept lira). I checked out a random similar looking place away from the river in town and a similar meal might be £50-£55, so more expensive yes, but madly so, no. As I said we loved our meze starters.

Wonderful fresh food cooked to order. Very attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit and will be going back before we go home. Note, there is no menu and hence prices to guide those that are on a budget. However, I would say that they are very much in line with other restaurants here in Dalyan. I am not a fan of fried foods but the appetisers whicb were fried were very light and exceptionally fresh.
Steve P — Google review
Outstanding food cooked with love. Saki's is a family run restaurant serving a lovely selection of small plates and main meals. The food has mostly local influences and is reminiscent of grandma's recipes. There is something for everyone here, from fish and meat to vegetarian. The restaurant does get VERY busy so I would advise booking in advance, but if you do want to wait for a table, there is counter seating where you can have a drink (food is generally not served at the counter seating though). Also this is a place where you don't have menus as the food changes daily according to what food is in season. You are introduced to your food at the display cabinet by Sitka or lovely Eylül who explain what everything is. What a wonderful experience and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Food is amazing The service was in my opinion very strange.. Pretty much a one man band with a girl who was serving the food and drinks [she was lovely] Now the guy i take it the owner was very strange I dont want to sound mean but he was very off... myself and my partner didn't like his auroa or his energy at all.... He was walking around barefoot ??? He has this concept of NO MENUS and he has to take you through a whole fridge full of the food. He started with the starters by the time he'd got to the mains I was absolutely irritated I'd forgotten what he had said my partner was the same. This place seems chaotic but does not need to be ...he needs to employ more staff stop with the "experience " of him taking every customer to the fridge!!! And just get MENUS!!! We ate the food but we both left on our last day of our holiday freaked out and very annoyed. What a shame as the food was outstanding. What a very wierd concept of a restaurant experience.

Dalyan Çarşı is a vibrant shopping destination nestled in the charming neighborhood of Dalyan, located in the Ortaca district of Mugla province. This delightful market offers an array of fresh and delicious local produce, making it a must-visit for food lovers. You can leisurely explore its shops until late evening, soaking up the lively atmosphere while sipping on traditional Turkish tea at nearby cafes.
One advice I give to all my friends, if you are going to Turkey, pack a way very little, and buy what you need/like there, because whatever you pack here will be too heavy and hot. İn the çarşı, you can see everything, shop keepers will not hustle you, and full of good quality stuff, they will even take pride in telling you whatever is real fake. Enjoy Dalyan.

(Translated by Google) It didn't appeal to us; we'd imagined something completely different. It was just a small street with a few liquor stores and markets. It wasn't like a bazaar, or maybe we were just navigation problems. We wandered around but didn't see much. Dalyan is very beautiful, but it's a small hotel area, more suitable for a relaxing holiday. The two closest places to visit are Iztuzu Beach and Köyceğiz.

Dalyan, located on Turkey's southwestern coast, is a stunning destination that boasts breathtaking natural beauty and a wealth of history. One of the most delightful ways to experience this captivating area is through boat trips, which unveil its hidden treasures—from ancient ruins to idyllic beaches. Among the various options available, "Captain Boris" boat trips stand out for their exceptional service and intimate atmosphere.
If you are travelling to Dalyan this summer and want to take a boat trip, please consider "Captain Boris" boat trips. Boris, Rebecca and the Captain are lovely, friendly people who put you first. The boat is beautiful and limits numbers to around 14. The food was delicious and ample to go around 😋 and even for seconds. We have had several boat trips in Turkey over the years, this was our first visit to Dalyan, and this trip certainly ranks up there with the best. Had an absolutely brilliant day. We plan on returning to Dalyan in September and we will definitely be booking another trip with "Captain Boris" boat trips. Thank you for making our day, and my wife's birthday a very memorable occasion 😊 Mick and Lesley xx

A fantastic day - relaxing on the boat, delicious food, gorgeous swimming spots and Boris and Rebecca were amazing hosts. Thoroughly recommend it!

We met lovely Rebecca who is a fab cook and did all the food for our trip. The barbecue was to die for and the trip itself was relaxing and stress free. Thank you to our Captain and his first mate for a smooth sail. We will definitely come back

I can not recommend Boris and his team enough. From start to finish they were amazing. Especially as we had a three year old on board. They went the extra mile on every detail. The food onboard is soooooo delicious and the choice of salads was amazing. The boat was spotless - an loads of room to relax and enjoy the amazing scenes in Dalyan.

The tranquil sounds of nature and the stunning night sky create an unforgettable atmosphere to explore Dalyan. During daytime excursions, guests rave about their experiences aboard Princess of Ekincik.
THE BEST BOAT TRIP IN DALYAN From start to finish you're whole day will be epic. Ismail is fantastic, although his wife was not on this trip she is wonderful. We go off Ismail's recommendation on the day, and no doubt wherever you're taken to will be spectacular. The boat itself has plenty of seating and is the most comfortable boat I've ever been on, even the toilet on board beautiful. They have their bar and it's priced the same as town which is cheap, and has all imported spirits. The food, what can I say, I believe Ismails mother cooks the mezes and everything that goes with the bbq meat, and it is ABSOLUTELY delicious. 10/10 we always have the best days on Princess of Ekincik, whether it's a private trip of group, you must go!
Danielle D — Google review
This is our third private boat trip of this fantastic boat. This year (October 2024) we have done Barcardi Bay and Sunset Beach BBQ, firstly Barcardi Bay is stunningly beautiful however due to a number of other boats the Captain Ismil suggested moving on to another location (always trust his judgement) and wow, a fabulous little cove a little further round we had all to ourselves and to paddleboard there was amazing, we had a great time and was relaxing without a noisy party boat in site. I cant even begin to put into words the Sunset Beach BBQ other than do it. Truely beautiful. The food on this boat is fabulous and plentiful, as is the well stockes bar for your leisure. Ismil and Ivona are lovely and take extreme care of you, tending to your every need, in the boat and whilst booking your trips. You will regret not taking a boat trip on the Princess of Ekincik
Allison D — Google review
We had a fabulous day on Princess of Ekincik. Ismail and Ivona were amazing hosts and created a really chilled out atmosphere for the day. The boat was lovely, a joy to be on and not at all crowded, with a small group. We made a number of stops in beautiful locations where you could jump off the boat, relax in the sea, snorkel and even paddle board. It really does feel good for the soul being out at sea. Also, the food was delicious...prepared at home by Ismail's mum. Thanks for an amazing day.
Peter B — Google review
Great trip. We were offered a customised 2 hour trip even though it was just before the main season began. Would definitely recommend this!
Aidan C — Google review
Went on 2 trips. Great communicator before with Ivana. Beautiful boat, cleanest nicest toilets I have ever seen on a boat in Turkey. Food amazing, crew lovely. Plenty of bathing areas and shade. Did moonlight boat cruise and Bacardi bay
Andy P — Google review
We had an amazing day out with Ismail on his beautiful boat doing the Ekincik bay trip. Boat was spacious and spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and plentiful (including extra treats with the arrival tea/coffee and afternoon fruit/cake). Drinks reasonably priced and friendly efficient service. We loved the paddle board and jumping from the roof too. Highly recommended.
Stuart C — Google review
We took 3 absolutely outstanding trips on Princess of Ekincik, one moonlight trip and two sea trips. We had the most relaxing times on all the trips. The boat is spotlessly clean and Ivona and Ismail are the perfect hosts, always making sure we were happy with the stops and making sure we moved on to get the best spots along the way. The food is also delicious, we can’t wait to go back to Dalyan so we can take some more trips with these guys!

We had a boat trip out to sea today with, Ismail, Ivona and Mert, on their lovely boat. We had a fabulous day, the food was excellent and plentiful and the drinks very reasonable. Book direct with ismail and you will not be disappointed. You will have a wonderful day. Thank you for a fantastic day it was lovely to meet you all. Barbara, Brian, pam and Chris x

Nestled just 10 kilometers from the charming town of Dalyan, Turtle Cafe is a delightful spot to unwind after a day at Iztuzu Beach, known for being a nesting ground for the Caretta Carettas. This newly opened cafe offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor delicious coffee and refreshing slush drinks—perfect for cooling off in the summer heat. The day I was in Muğla, I was overwhelmed by the heat and while passing by, I noticed a cute ice cream cafe. Slush was very good, I recommend it. The owner is a very sweet, friendly, caring lady. It has just opened. The ice cream was very delicious. It felt good. 😘

Really nice, clean beach, the dolmus end is cheaper than the boat end. And the turtle hospital is in walking distance.
Ann H — Google review
Very nice, spacious and clean sandy beach. Water is crystal clear and it's shallow for like 20 meters. The only downside was the parasols; they're rather small and don't have great coverage. However the beach is pretty cheap -100 TL for a couple of beds and a parasol - so it's definitely worth it.
Pariz — Google review
Great beach with cafe , toilets, changing etc. entrance is 200TL for the car and 350TL for 2 sunbeds .
Matthew B — Google review
Very Long Beach, beautiful but very crowded, near the turtle hospital which is worth a visit, entry is 100 TL for car park. Very far from the turtle pilaj where you are supposed to see turtles, so don’t expect to see turtles expect in the hospital which is 300 meter from the beach.
Ismail A — Google review
It's a very nice beach with a nice beachfront restaurant. It's also a nesting place for Loggerhead Turtles and each nest is marked off for safety of the eggs. The beach also closes after sunset and no lights or loud music is allowed. It has won many awards for responsible eco tourism. Recommended!
Brian M — Google review
I liked this beach a lot. The fee is not that much (2€ per car, no matter how many people are inside it), there are public toilets and showers (with cold, salty water) and the beach is clean. The water doesn't get deep enough for swimming for more than 50meters which makes it ideally for kids. You can also visit the Turtle Hospital (which is located close to the entrance). There is also shadow under some pine trees, but if you arrive after 10am most probably you will find it already occupied. At times it gets very windy. The restaurant inside has reasonable prices.
Alexandru I — Google review
One of the best beaches I have visited: clean, soft sand, gentle waves, easy sloping beach, umbrellas and loungers ( for nominal fee TL 15 double, TL 10 single) and restaurant, changing, shower facilities. Also a lovely example how humans can respect the breeding nests of the turtles along the beach. Most people are disciplined to use the refuse bins too. Access to this lovely beach is 30minutes by taxi boat from Dalyan harbour. Let’s keep this lovely part of the world lovely!
Vincent O — Google review
A perfectly clean beach with the perfect view and settings all around. You can reach this beach via small boats that are always available. The beach coast is very long, it won't appear crowded as much as crowded as it gets. The water is crystal clear and the sand and water are both clean there are even sea turtles! You can rent 2 small beach beds at 80 T.L as well or you can simply grab ur towel and sit near the water on the sand. A great way to spend your day where you will enjoy ur time during the boat trip and see some old sculptures kn the mountains which were apparently old graves and enjoy ur time at the beach as well ⛱. Those are photos on our way. And only 1 *with added stickers to cover up some ppl* when we reached as we were short on time.
