Very well maintained park with many chairs. From the side can walk to the dining street. The mega mall is walking distance from here. Nice park but hard access for car or online taxi to drop or pick up. You can get a view with mountain here. Lots of kids during the weekend. a bit dissapointing no flowers when we arrived even it is spring, but still okay.

The park was a lot of fun. I wouldn't necessarily put it at the top of your Almaty to-do list, but if you're looking for a pretty spot to fill some time, this is a great spot to check out. The most photogenic spot is definitely the entrance. The rest of the park is pretty and forested, but otherwise kind of unremarkable. Still, I'm glad I checked it out!

I have been to the monastery, nice view but the path is difficult, ~1500 stairs. Did not worth it.

The Lake is amazing, but the way to the lake is wonderful. If you are going to KAZ, don't forget to visit.

So when we found this park, we were so amazed and did not expect that it is so big and is actually an amusement park with many rides and entertainment for the whole family. This place is located inside the Central Park and tickets need to purchased from the counter. Overall the show is nice but the host only spoke in the local language and there was no translation so felt disinterested after one point of time. Also you get a chance to click a photo with the dolphin after the show ends, with additional cost.

Located inside central park, this is wonderful place for small kids. The show started with two sea lions performing acts and even grooving to the music. Thereafter you had two dolphins performing varied acrobatics. The people on front row seats are likely to get drenched with these feats.

Sunkar is a wild bird park. Various owls, hawks and eagles can be viewed in the enclosures. Every day at 5 pm there is a falconry show. The tickets for this are comparatively expensive for Kazakhstan. The show is entertaining and educational. However, it is questionable how species-appropriate the facility is.

On a trip to Big Almaty Lake, we found this place by chance, went in for a look, and were just in time for the 5pm bird of prey display. It was very entertaining. Highly recommended.

We went in on Tuesday. Spent 20 mins looking for a place to buy ticket to the bird show, only to be told it was not on on Tuesdays (and Mondays). They should have made the showtime info more publicly available. We were not the only group travelling all the way there and got disappointed.

If you wanna find peace start from AB restaurant at the top and walk till you reach Almaty hotel it takes 4,5 km long and beautiful ride. At the weekends it could be little more crowded but weekdays it is more peaceful. I love to be here and I fully recommend to get here and take a walk. Only minus about this route is that if there would be more sitting benches and free wifi areas on the way, that would be amazing. Apart from that it is an amazing place to be.
