Cuban restaurant
La Guarida is a unique and award-winning restaurant located in a 19th-century residential neighborhood in Centro Habana, Cuba. Despite its unassuming location, it offers expertly prepared cuisine in an atmospheric setting. The restaurant is situated on the third floor of a weathered apartment building and features three intimate dining rooms adorned with eclectic wall displays. Diners can enjoy dishes like sugar-cane tuna glazed with coconut and fish salad with crunchy vegetables and peanuts.
Went here for dinner with a group and listened to a great local band. The building is gorgeous and we enjoyed the different terrace bars. The three course dinner was delicious and the drinks were generous!
Sandy W — Google review
On our last day in Havana, we decided to visit La Guarida and it was the best decision we made on our last dinner here in Cuba! The ambience is unique and the building is a mix of romantic vintage manor house! The staff were very professional and kind and the food was delicious!! All dishes were very tasty from the starters to our main tenderloin beef!! Suggestions is the Gorgonzola croquettes and definitely the triple chocolate cake (or something like that)!! Just an amazing night!!

Wow! What a great meal. Started off at the rooftop bar and then had dinner on the terrace. The food was fantastic, amazing wine list, and very great service. View if the water is nice as well. Tuna tar tar was my favorite item…super fresh. Garlic shrimp was also very good.
Adam K — Google review
I’ve been to this magical restaurant two times over the past few years. It’s a regular stop when you are traveling to Cuba with a group. Both times this place can really take your breath away by the decaying beauty. The rooms have amazing art and the staff is terrific. This time the apps were delicious. Beautifully done with really interesting texture and flavors. The entrees— even the house specialities were just okay. Salt (on the table) really helped my snapper. And my friend’s chicken and another friend’s cod fish. Dessert- a kind of lemon and meringue was excellent.
Laura T — Google review
This overpriced restuarant has a beautiful rooftop to look over the not so lit city of Havana. But the sky can be fabulous. Drinks and good are expensive, for what they are. But the building is frozen in time and you will have a good time.
R H — Google review
Wow, completely WOW. I found this hidden gem on Instagram, and I am oh so glad I did. The atmosphere is completely unmatched. You walk in through a semi-decrepit-looking entrance, with beautifully crumbling architecture typical of Havana, and wind up an ornate staircase through a succession of stunning and colorful rooms/floors. This all ends on a glorious rooftop bar with 360-degree views of the city. It took my breath away. The food was also impeccable, and the menu offered some adventurous choices, which I always appreciate. They could’ve served me poop on a platter though, and I would’ve been happy— nothing can beat that view! And the art throughout is stunning. Great service, not too crowded. I felt like an insider seeing a side of the city that I would never have otherwise gotten to see. Do not miss this.
John T — Google review
A culinary masterpiece in an elegant bit of architecture. The food is outstanding; we had 3 courses, and each dish was delicious. The tuna tartare starter and chicken main were especially good. They have a good selection of cocktails, and more importantly, a wide selection of Rum! Service was fantastic, all waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Restaurant was packed, so the vibe was good, and the views you get on the balconies is great. One of the rare venues tourists can pre book, so strongly suggest you do to.ensure you get a table.
Jack C — Google review
When we chose this restaurant, it seemed like a well-established institution. However, our experience suggested that it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its Google reviews and the surrounding hype. While the standard of food is still quite good by Cuban standards, it fell short of what we anticipated. The setting was nice, when you walk in there is the speech written by Fidel Castro on the wall next to the stairs which is a popular spot for photos. The aesthetic of the interior is nice and provides a good vibe for dining. Despite being regarded as one of the best restaurants in Cuba, there were some glaring issues. One glass contained an unidentified floating object, and the sparkling water was completely off, arriving pre-opened and undrinkable. The fish of the day was snapper, which was well-prepared and complemented by a flavorful sauce. The texture of the fish was fine and easy to chew. The 50-day dry-aged ribeye was served with a hot plate, allowing us to sear the steak ourselves. While the concept was interesting, the execution left much to be desired. The aging process was evident in the texture and flavor notes of the steak, but it didn’t quite reach the expectations of a premium dry-aged cut. It was accompanied by grilled capsicum, potatoes, salt, and a sweet-and-sour sauce intended to enhance the self-searing experience. Next, we tried the saffron oxtail risotto. Although it carried the scent of saffron, it lacked the authenticity of true saffron infusion. Unfortunately, the dish was unbearably salty, overshadowing any other flavors. The lobster dish was similarly disappointing. It was overly salty and had an unpleasant raw seafood odor, suggesting it wasn’t fresh enough. The ropa vieja was slightly better—above average and, thankfully, not overly salty. As for desserts, the rice pudding was bland, appearing prepackaged. The cheesecake was below average, though the touch of cheddar was an interesting twist that gave it a semblance of being a true cheesecake. The triple chocolate dessert was the standout highlight—rich and satisfying. Another notable dessert was the lemon tart with meringue, which offered a pleasant and refreshing conclusion to the meal. At the end, it took about half an hour to receive the bill and sort out payments, which was far too long for us and prevented us from spending the rest of our night somewhere else. In summary, while Le Guarida shows promise, its reputation didn’t align with the actual experience. A few standout dishes aside, the inconsistencies in preparation and quality were hard to overlook. Thank you

Restaurant
El del Frente is a trendy bar and restaurant located on Calle O'Reilly in Havana. It has a hipster vibe with young staff and an unassuming entrance labeled 'BAR.' The rooftop bar offers large mojitos and delicious tacos, including shrimp tacos with homemade salsas. Across the street, its sister restaurant 304 serves tasty ceviche and seafood specials. Both places have become popular among American tourists visiting Old Havana.
Place is just great. A real deal with the roof top bar. Great service, really nice food. Cocktails are a bit too heavy on the alcohol qty.
Catalin M — Google review
The only thing I disliked was that it closed at 12am. We loved it here! We visited more than once. The food was good, the drinks were amazing. It's a beautiful rooftop lounge.
Amanda B — Google review
The food was delicious (tacos were 100% amazing), the service was the best in Havana and the music & space were great! Tip: try the ginger mojito (ginger is a great twist to an anyway amazing drink)
Anna P — Google review
Wonderful rooftop restaurant in the heart of Havana’s old city. We had a great meal, tucked away from the afternoon sun, and many, many rounds of mojitos. Really enjoyed all of the dishes - many great bites and plates.
K M — Google review
El Del Frente came as a recommendation from our guide. This place wouldn’t be out of place in Austin, Texas with its neon signs and roof top vibes. This was our first mojito of our Cuba trip, and quite possibly our best one. They do not skimp on the mint. Ceviche was superb, as was the red fish. We then switched to straight rum with Havana Club’s Selleciones de Maestros. This is a great spot for a low key dinner while spire on Havana.
Cody W — Google review
El del Frente Restaurant in Habana has effortlessly secured its place as my second favorite dining spot in the city, offering an unforgettable blend of exquisite cuisine, lively ambiance, and impeccable service. The rooftop setting of El del Frente is an absolute highlight, providing a breathtaking view of the vibrant streets of Habana. It's the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of culinary indulgence. The stylish space creates a unique atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service at El del Frente is nothing short of exceptional—fast, friendly, and attentive. The staff's enthusiasm for ensuring a delightful experience is palpable, adding a personal touch to every aspect of the meal. Their efficiency contributes to the overall enjoyment, allowing guests to savor both the delicious food and the lively ambiance. Speaking of the food, the croquetas served as the appetizer were a tantalizing introduction to the meal. Crispy on the outside and irresistibly creamy on the inside, they were a testament to the chef's expertise in mastering traditional Cuban flavors. For the main course, the lobster surpassed all expectations. Cooked to perfection, the succulent lobster meat showcased the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. The dish was a harmonious fusion of flavors, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The ambiance at El del Frente is heightened by the electronic music, creating a modern and energetic atmosphere. The carefully curated playlist complements the overall vibe of the restaurant, enhancing the dining experience and adding a contemporary touch to the traditional Cuban culinary journey. It's noteworthy that El del Frente is owned by the same people as O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar, and the consistency in quality and service is evident. Both establishments reflect a dedication to providing guests with an exceptional culinary journey in the heart of Habana. In conclusion, El del Frente Restaurant is a culinary gem that ticks all the boxes—rooftop charm, swift and friendly service, delectable cuisine, and a vibrant ambiance. From the croquetas to the lobster, every moment spent at El del Frente is a celebration of the rich tapestry of Cuban flavors. It's a must-visit for those seeking an elevated dining experience in the heart of Habana.

A little hard to find but definitely a gem in Havana. Very photogenic location, great food and a nice atmosphere. Not a lot of seating but the roof terrace is nice. Quite crowded at times but a great place to visit none the less. Food was great and the staff was helpful. Helped with our dietary requirements, had vegetarian options.
Sohvi T — Google review
We went here over the summer for lunch and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We ordered some croquettes, a pork escalope with some delicious spaghetti and a side of creamy mashed sweet potato and one fish dish that came with rice. Everything was great. The ambiance is lovely. The complimentary banana chips with guacamole was really good too. The spaghetti sauce was the best I've ever had. They gave us complimentary flowers at the end of our meal too! I'd love to visit again, if we head back to Havana!

El Cocinero is a trendy loft-style lounge in Havana, located in a former cooking oil factory with a rooftop terrace. From mouthwatering duck confit and blinis to delightful seafood options, the menu offers an array of delectable choices. What a cool spot! This open air rooftop bar is one of a kind. Servers were attentive, but not overbearing, great wine selection, food was excellent - came in portions easy to share. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous restaurant! Don't miss this while on Cuba! The good quality and service are amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. This is outdoor, rooftop dining at it's best. We tried the filet, chicken mushroom pasta, pork steak and duck. All of the food was too notch.

El Cocinero is a gem of a restaurant. The curry fish and crab tacos are standout dishes, bursting with some flavor. Plus, its proximity to the Cuban Art Factory makes it a convenient and delightful dining choice. Highly recommended!

My wife and I went to El Cocinero and left delighted. The ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced—definitely the highlight of the night. We paired it with a glass of Merlot that complemented it beautifully. An ideal spot for a special evening.

“Absolutely loved my experience at El Cocinero! 🍴 The rooftop terrace gives an amazing view of Havana, especially at sunset 🌅. The food was fresh and flavorful — seafood and grilled dishes were top-notch. Staff was very friendly and attentive, making the whole evening even better. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, perfect for both casual hangouts and special dinners. Highly recommend this spot if you want a memorable dining experience in Havana!”
Rana A — Google review
Really great restaurant. The neighborhood is the only con as it is kind of ugly and far from the tourist area. Otherwise it is perfect. The food is great! Loved the dumplings, the cucumber pasta with meatballs was so good. The lobster with risotto tasted so original. But the best part of it was the freshly baked bread with basil butter, to die for! The chocolate pie was super tasty too. Definitely a must in Havana. Not pricey at all. Good wine selection.
Monica R — Google review
Make sure to book a table for 7:45 because this place is fantastic. My wife and I absolutely loved the ambiance. It's the perfect spot for a romantic evening or a friends to hangout. The service was top-notch, and the staff even let us capture the stunning sunset with some photos. The food? Oh, it was divine! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Whether you're going with your significant other or a group of friends, this place is a winner. Winner winner chicken dinner.

La Bodeguita Del Medio is a legendary establishment in Havana, known for its historical significance and famous patrons. The walls are adorned with inscriptions and framed photographs of celebrities, creating a unique ambiance. This was Ernest Hemingway's favorite place to enjoy a refreshing mojito. While the prices may be on the higher side, visiting this iconic bar allows you to step into the footsteps of the renowned author and experience Havana through his eyes.
Wonderful place, not at least because I reminded some of the patrons of Hemingway 🤣😂 Excellent mojitos and a very good live band. Loved the lobster cubana. Yum. Want to have a great time in Havana, don't miss this place

Amazing, very delicious, we had the lobster it was perfect, the lemonades were not that good i tried better in cuba, i think they add lots of sugar. Beautiful atmosphere
Amy H — Google review
“Bodeguita del Medio is a must-visit spot in Havana — full of character, history, and probably the best mojito you’ll ever have. The atmosphere is lively, the music’s authentic, and the walls tell stories.”
Maryam J — Google review
I always drink a mojito here. Sometimes I also eat here. It's a restaurant I always visit when I go to Cuba.
Kawashima C — Google review
Just found a magnet I got from there back in October 2005 when friends and I stopped in for a mojito and a snack. Looks like the place hasn’t changed a bit.
Hans S — Google review
Totally overrated! The front is filled with tourists all hours of the day. The food is ok, but nothing special. We tried the Ropa Vieja because a lot of people here recommend it... it was mediocre. The Mojitos are really small. All in all, a tourist trap. You can find a better place to eat with more delicious food! The live music was great, but it is practically everywhere in Havana.
Bilyana K — Google review
This is a very historic pub. One of Hemingway's favourite bars, a must-see historical place. However, it is not recommended to eat or drink anything because they use the ingredients sparingly and it is unnecessarily expensive.

Located in the heart of Habana Vieja, Paladar Doña Eutimia is a top dining establishment offering traditional Cuban dishes such as picadillo, stuffed plantains, and pork prepared in various ways. The restaurant's menu features rib-sticking classics like vaca frita and sweet fried maduros. It is praised for its reinvented ropa vieja with lamb and complimentary refills of velvety black beans.
We had a fantastic meal here - definitely a highlight of our trip to Havana! The courtyard is beautiful and there was a lovely band playing throughout our meal. We had the chicken fajitas and the picadillo. We also had flan with ice cream which was superb. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Havana! (Note: be careful of the men harassing you on the street - they tried to lie to us and tell us the restaurant wasn’t open!)
Jane H — Google review
This place is another tourist stop to taste authentic Cuban food. The prices are high for the average tourisy Cuban restaurant. Even in the low season, expect a waiting line and to spend ~25€ per person for 1 entry, a drink, and a main dish. It is busy but recommended for a one-time experience.
Ricardo C — Google review
One of our absolute favorite dinner spots in Havana. It's amazing in every way. Classic sensibility, with a hip, lively vibe. Fantastic food and the best Sangria we've ever had. We still dream about it. Can't wait to get back! If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, staff friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The octopus in garlic was really tender. It is not easy to spot immediately - make sure you go to the end of the alley.

João G — Google review
Although it was busy when we arrived, they managed to find a table for us in no time. If you can’t find a table straight away, book it for another time, it’s worth it. Had the tuna in avocado as starter, shrimps in red sauce for main and the coconut ice cream is a must. The food was so good we had to book for next day as well.
Andrei A — Google review
Yes, the frozen mojito. Can I just stop there? ☺️ This place is super charming, clustered way in the back of the plaza with neighboring restaurants and a cool art studio at the peak. The staff was very helpful and kind. FYI, with the exception of one nasty person, I feel like everyone in Cuba was very kind helpful and nice. Anywho, the food was good. Not great mains but the rice and black beans were delicious. Again, didn’t come to Cuba for the food. I came for the culture and I had my fair share. And if you want culture this place is in the perfect location to tour the city and take in all the sights and sounds of Havana. I was actually very picturesque. Highly recommended. #BYOS (bring your own seat)🙂

Great location in one of the most authentic squares downtown, and very cozy decoration. Tried the coffee there and it was really good. I just wish there is no habit of stressing the customers that I see almost everywhere in Havana cafes, and where the waiters come to you every second minute to ask you if you’d like to order something more!!

El Dandy Café: The Coolest Spot in Havana El Dandy Café is hands down my favorite spot in Havana. Tucked away in the heart of Old Havana, this place has everything you could want—great coffee, amazing cocktails, and an effortlessly cool vibe. The location is perfect, right on Plaza del Cristo, where you can soak in the energy of the city while enjoying a cafecito or a mojito. What really makes El Dandy stand out is the atmosphere. It’s a mix of old-school Cuban charm and modern eclectic style, with vintage décor, local art on the walls, and a soundtrack that sets the perfect mood. Whether you’re here to start your morning with a strong espresso or wind down with a rum cocktail, the crowd is always an interesting mix of locals, travelers, and creatives. The staff is friendly, the drinks are top-notch, and the people-watching is unbeatable. If you’re looking for a place to kick back, connect with cool people, and experience Havana’s laid-back magic, El Dandy is the spot. Highly recommend!

Otramanera is a renowned restaurant in Havana, frequented by celebrities like Cuban actress Ana de Armas. The restaurant offers delicious and innovative cuisine, including high-quality traditional dishes such as Ropa Vieja, as well as creative soups and salads. Located in the quiet corner of Miramar, Otramanera provides a peaceful dining experience away from the bustling city center.
This was a really special dinner. We are here with a group and have gone to fairly touristy places. This was far from touristy! We were the only ones speaking English (menu and wait staff speak English) and saw no big tour groups. The ambiance was beautiful! We walked through a gate into a beautiful garden and an open, modern restaurant. The staff was so friendly, and helped us get a cab back to hotel. The food was also amazing! The ceviche was so fresh and flavorful we almost ordered a second helping. The falafel tasted almost as authentic as anything we’ve had in the Middle East and the fresh catch (red snapper) melted in our mouths. If you are visiting Havana and want a break from all the tourists, go here!
Jonathan E — Google review
Otramanera is my top recommendation of a restaurant in Cuba. The ambiance, food, and quality of service were all top notch. The egg hash appetizer and duck dinner were my favorite things I ate on this trip. I would highly suggest you trying this restaurant!

An amazing culinary experience! The caramel popcorn the offered when we arrived was fun as was the lentil salad “on the house.” We ordered the Quail egg appetizer, Tuna Tataki, the Coconut fish curry, and the Crema Catalana (crème brûlée). The food was all excellent but we enjoyed the melt in your mouth tuna in the orange reduction most of all. The total for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert (plus a drink) was <$40 when paid in pesos. Definitely recommend making a reservation (or stopping by on a weekday for lunch-space is limited) while you are in Havana!
Huzaifa W — Google review
Chic, modern, well decorated upscale restaurant. We really enjoyed the presentation of each dish. And the chocolate souffle was absolutely sublime. We didn't need a reservation but it might make sense for a large group. The lamb was good and I would go back for the desert and cocktails anytime!

This is the best restaurant in Havana. The staff like everywhere in Cuba is kind. They bar man makes what I can only describe as the best Pina Colada I had my entire trip and there are many contenders but they aren’t even close. The food is awesome the tacos are fabulous the langoustine is fabulous.

Incredible gourmet food in the outskirts of Havana. Very chic atmosphere and attentive waiters. The location was a little hard to find cause it’s in the middle of a neighborhood and has a tall fence around it. All in all though amazing food!
G R — Google review
This place has mastered the art and science of bartending. I sat and watched my mojito and pina coladas being crafted with painstaking detail, in contrast to the rapid assembly line style that you may see in ciudad vieja’s restaurants. The mojito’s flavors are rich and complex, achieving a meticulous balance of subtle-sweet and citrus-sour, enriched by the mint’s cool, bittersweet, and peppery edge. Meanwhile, the Pina colada had just the right amount of coconut to provide a creamy body, rendering the texture of the drink (composed of blended ice) somehow smoother than the decadent ice cream. And guess how much these two drinks came out to be? Approx $10 USD, pricey for Havana but probably near impossible to beat in the US

Los Mercaderes is a renowned restaurant located on one of the oldest streets in Havana, Cuba. Situated in Old Havana, this 50-seat establishment offers a charming dining experience with live music and an extensive menu featuring both Cuban and international dishes. The restaurant's colonial atmosphere is enhanced by mural paintings, tinted glasses, and original XIX-century floors.
My best dining experience in Havana, hands down. The Cuban tamales are incredible. They are essentially deconstructed and are unlike a traditional tamale in that there is no corn exterior. It's served similar to a stew and at first I thought I'd received the wrong item. However, when you taste it, the flavors of the corn are clearly present in spite of not having the masa breading we are used to. Apparently this is a unique dish from the owner/chef's family.

From the moment you're greeted at the door, the experience begins. You'll ascend a grand staircase to the second level, with bells gently announcing your arrival. The staff are fluent in multiple languages, ensuring smooth communication and consistent, attentive service. No matter what you choose from the menu, every dish is guaranteed to delight—and likely exceed—your expectations. The thoughtful combination of flavors, elegant presentation, warm hospitality, and ambient music create a truly memorable dining experience. Personally, I've been here five times—it's my favorite restaurant to visit whenever I'm in Havana. Note: I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the restaurant and his wife on my last visit, he has many fantastic stories surrounding the restaurants success and the challenges they faced to operate such an establishment in Cuba. 👌🏻

From the moment we entered until the moment we left we had an amazing time. The food was well priced and delicious, the staff were helpful and caring and the atmosphere was 10/10. Thank you to the whole team and specifically Frank for a great experience. P.S. If you do go make sure you try the pumpkin brûlée as it is Frank’s recommendation and now also mine 😊

The place was amazing!!!! My family and I visited in June and I’m just finding the time to post this. The host Yamil was so kind! He’s also the owner. I love the home feel of the restaurant! He told us the story of how he came to be in the business. The same restaurant used to his home! Now him and his wife share the home now restaurant with others, sharing their Cuban cuisine and love…I truly love that!!! Thank you yamil for making us feel so welcomed! And the music was lovely as well.

Best restaurant in cuba. I have been to cuba 8 times from cayo coco, Santa lucia, varadero and Trinidad, this blew my mind. We got lucky enough to get a spot on the julliet balcony. There was live music playing and just really set the tone. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The owner explained to us the history of the restaurant and I admire his passion soo much. If we had stayed in Havana, I would have been here everyday. I would come back to Havana just to have this meal again.

My favorite part is the live music. Me and my friends and family highly recommend this place

Incredible hidden gem in Havana, Cuba - must try if you’re here. The service from the staff was incredible, thank you Ernesto. He was amazing at speaking English and could even speak in French. He connected with us really well and we felt very looked after throughout the night. We got the daily special, which was lobster croquettes. They were quite cheesy but it was nice with the sauce on the side. The Octopus (100g) was delicately prepared with bread, lime and Capcicum. It was the perfect consistency. Some bits were chewy but it was nicely made tender. The filet mignon was served medium-rare as we ordered, with corn, pepper, onion & carrot. The sauce was a sweet and sour truffle sauce. It combined to form a nice range of notes, most notably the truffle. The lobster fresh on the grill with a special pineapple sauce was a highlight on the menu - served beautifully with mint. It was very well prepared and not too chewy. The fish fillet had a Mediterranean flavour. Very delicate and a great combination of tasteful notes. The drinks were also outstanding, the guava and pineapple juices were freshly prepared. The Piña colada also tasted outstanding. The city of the restaurant is quite nice and intimate. The owner came to us towards the end of our meal to check how everything was going, and mentioned that this used to be his house with his wife and daughter. Overall, we were really impressed by the range of the menu and the quality of the food that was served, especially considering that we are in Cuba and that imports are embargoed by the United States. To conclude, normally when you see a menu that has any more than seven items on the menu, you would think that it would be excessive or difficult to prepare all those items at an adequate standard. This restaurant somehow manages to have around 25 items on this menu and still maintains the quality across-the-board, which is the sign of an incredible restaurant. Thank you for this incredible dining opportunity!

We went this bar last night. I was walking distance from our hotel in a nice and clean area. I ordered grilled lobster and my wife ordered chicken and a green salad with tuna fish. She ordered non alcoholic beer and I ordered mojito. Every food was in 700-800 range price and I ordered the lobster based on this mindset. However, when I received the bill I realized it was was tooo expensive (3000 peso) and extremely disgusting. It was too salty with unpleasant smell. One reason might be we visited the place at 11:00 pm and chef was tired and I felt he was angry when I ordered a new dish. The chicken was well cooked with awesome taste and smell. It has been dressed with some veggies. The salad with tuna was not bad and my limonite was tasteful. In general restaurant was busy and its staff were polite. One bad thing was steel straws that I didn’t like because they may not wash it clean (especially based on detergent prices and quality) and the other thing was the table cleaning. They didn’t clean our table and we did that by ourselves. One fun thing was their salt and pepper shaker was like lamp.

The food is very good and made with passion. Prices are not low budget but fit the quality of the food and seams to me very fair. I spend in this restaurant many evenings and was never disappointed. The place is just outside and have very nice garden in a nice neighborhood. Well done! Only Heineken Beer sucks... I prefer even the beer from Cuba.

It took a long time to be seated (arrived around 830pm) but I was able to enjoy a few beers while waiting. Cool atmosphere, feels like you're on the patio of a neighbors. Food was good and reasonably priced for tourists. The focaccia was outstanding. So good I preferred it to the lobster. One of the best things I've had during my week in Cuba.

Super nice and cozy place hided on a small cross section of av presidente. From outside, what calls the attention is the smell, and if you are not paying attention, you can’t tell where it is coming from. Reservations are preferred, although we were lucky to get the only table left unbooked. Food was terrific! We had parrillada, white rice, beans and mixed salad. The house made chimichurri was fabulous and so was pretty much everything else. The beans have different seasoning then what I am used to, it has lots of cumin and bell peppers and you taste them at every bite. Both sausages were great. One was a chorizo and the other is regular spanish. Chorizo was slightly spicy, but not overly powerful. The beef was good, but fades away close to everything else in the plate. Pork and chicken had great flavor of the charcoal. And I almost forgot to mention the tostones with ropa vieja as an entry, just amazing.

The service was great, people were really nice. I gave it 3 stars because the rice was cold and the filet mignon was not cooked how I asked. For the prices they asked, the food service should’ve been better.

We loved it so much that we came for the second time! If you are eating meat, go eat that Cuban Sandwich! (I didn't try the other stuff, but i am sure the other options are as tasty!) The bread was fresh (finally somebody is offering fresh crunchy bread!) and meat was so well cooked, the details with the sauce and pickle were so good. Very friendly, attentive staff who gave us the free wifi password without us asking. It is kinda on the pricier side but if you can pay for it, I would totally recommend. They also charge for service fee, which was more common than I thought in Cuba. I drink coffee a lot, I wasn't blown away by it but it felt quite decent. The cocktails are much more recommended than the coffee :)

Came for dinner on a rainy evening in old Havana. It was empty at 9pm and we were the only customers. Cute corner restaurant with nice decor. Very helpful staff explaining menu in detail. We had yucca fries, ropa vieja, vegetarian tacos and grilled chicken. Nice food and cocktails. Very reasonable prices and big portions.

We loved this place so much we came back several times during our stay in Havana for breakfast and lunch. Not easy being plant based in Cuba but this place has several options! Delicious fruit smoothies, good coffee, friendly helpful hosts. 100% recommend. Main tip for first time visitors to Cuba is BRING CASH (ideally US dollars) as currently only pesos can be withdrawn from ATMs and is fixed at a very poor exchange rate.

Siá Kará Café is a hidden gem located behind El Capitolio in Old Havana, offering a cool and bohemian atmosphere reminiscent of the city's past. The menu may not be extensive, but it offers great food for lunch or a relaxed evening. The café boasts an impressive drinks menu and hosts live music performances, making it an ideal spot to experience Havana's vibrant nightlife.
I lived nearby and I used to come here mainly for the music - live & jazzy. No "JuantaNamera" heard everywhere else (thx God). The venue is situated close to the Capitolio's back (hence my photo of Capitiolio back). Folks here are very nice - both customers and personnel. Food tasty, not so expensive like in overrated Obispo street.

We had high hopes for this cafe. The staff was awesome and the place had eclectic decor, however, we were hoping for some Cuban music or something similar and instead they were playing ‘90s/‘00s American rock. Mojitos were pretty good. We asked for an extra float of rum because the first batch was too much sweet and sour.

An amazing sandwich place in the residential area in Havana. Our guide recommended this cafe and it was full of tourists. The sandwiches are very filling and delicious. Vegan options are available. The salads are fresh and delicious too, especially on a hot day after a walk in the sun. Their freshly baked ginger biscuits and cakes are great to go with coffee. Loved the thriving atmosphere that defines Havana and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely recommend.

We went their reading good reviews for breakfast, but we're disappointed. The menu and the actual food did not match. The food was very simple and not enough for what the prices are. Food shortage in Cuba is very evident if establishments like El cafe can not procure butter etc. But being Havana, we didn't think much. The service was good. And the place is nice.

Probably our best discovery while in Havana. Great café with breakfast and brunch options for a very fair price and good portions. The food was amazing from the start and we never had anything to complain about on that part. Most of the waiters speak English so the communication was pretty smooth overall. And you have the possibility to pay either in Cuban pesos, euros or dollars The place is great, lovely atmosphere. We truly recommend this place. We went back several times during our stay

This place was dreamy, top to bottom. The Cortados are delicious, the bread is outstanding—it’s baked fresh every day— and what a lovely atmosphere. I was a huge fan of the hummus and toast breakfast, which sounds a little bit strange but was out of this world. The ginger daiquiri was also perfect. It closes a little bit early so I would recommend doing this place for breakfast or lunch.10 out of 10.

Very good breakfast place in old Havana. Good coffee, nice breakfast menu. Granola and yoghurt available, that’s very rare in Cuba. Tourist prices but expected. Toasted Sourdough bread with generous delicious filling of fresh salad. We had a vegetarian sandwich and chicken sandwich to share between 3 people and that’s more than enough.

GREAT (consistent) coffee, sandwiches and cocktails!!! I wish I’d found this place on day 1 in Havana - hands down, BEST COFFEE IN HAVANA. I grabbed a takeaway latte (fuerte!) and it was so good, I went back 10min later (CUP550). We then looped back after an hour or 2 for lunch. FRESH sourdough bread was a welcome treat in Havana Old Town, and the frozen mojito was off the charts good. AND great value compared to some other places in Havana. I only wish I went on day 1. Located in Old Havana, Jama is a unique Asian-inspired restaurant that offers a fusion of Japanese and Cuban cuisine. The restaurant's avant-garde approach to Japanese fusion with a Cuban twist makes it a standout dining destination. With its tastefully eccentric atmosphere, Jama serves expertly prepared sushi, sashimi, and tuna tataki. Despite its non-descript exterior and lack of signage, this hidden gem has gained popularity for its colorful Pan-Asian fusion cuisine.
There were 5 of us. Looking for a respite from the busy streets of Old Havana and for a tapas or snack. This place is perfect for both. Chill vibe. Cool decor and atmosphere. The food is really good. They take pride in the flavour and presentation. Air conditioned and modern clean toilets too.

I am so happy that we discovered this restaurant because I was basically starving in Cuba previous days due to bad food in all places. This restaurant is the only one I have visited here so far that can fall in international standard when it comes to sanitary conditions and taste of dishes. I was so positively impressed when I saw that bartender is doing everything with proper equipment and not touching anything with his bare hands. We had vegetable spring rolls as a starter and seafood ramen and lobster as main dish. Everything was fine. Prices are above standard Cuban prices but quality comes with price. Not best in my whole life but considering Cuba food availability and all conditions this is great.
Marija T — Google review
Lobster tacos were the reason we went but Jama turned out to be our favourite meal in ten days of travelling around Cuba. The tacos were spectacular, with a richly seasoned tomato sauce and tender, juicy lobster - but everything else we ordered was equally enjoyable. You can see how fresh the ingredients are, because most of the food is cooked on the teppan in the middle of the dining room. The team was warm and welcoming. The prices are around €10-20 per person for two courses and a cocktail.
Graham B — Google review
The place was decent , of course if you are a foodie like me and knows alot about different cuisines well this is not the place for you . It's not real japanese cuisine, it's a poor imitation of Japanese food which is supposed to be clean , delicate and simple but this was the opposite, it was a good experience but don't go there expecting , salmon sashimi , typical California roll but you will get disappointed.
Kevin L — Google review
Better than expected. After three weeks in Cuba we were suprised to find something completely different and wanted to give it a try. The prices are insanely high for Cuba (and understandably so) but ok for tourists. One Roll of 10 pieces comes in at about 10$. Lemonade costs 400 and is tasty and big, but normally the most we payed for a lemonade was 150. This should give you an overview. The atmosphere is modern and cool, food was good and especially beautifully prepared. The lobster roll was our absolute favorite (Dinamite with langosta) and we'd go back just for that. Tuna Tempura was just ok, the tuna was really bland. And the Ceviche roll kept falling apart and the mix of the too sour taste with a pesto simply didn't work for us. That one we wouldn't recommend. Service was friendly and fast and if you really crave something foreign, this is a good place to stop.
Chregi S — Google review
Not a bad spot especially if you’ve been in Cuba for a couple days and your palate wants a change of scene. I got the New York roll with lobster (avocado was a little stale) and Nat got the dynamite roll with lobster (they were out of shrimp). Both cost 1500 pesos.

El Floridita Bar, located in Havana, was a favorite spot of the famous author Ernest Hemingway. The bar is now home to photographs and a statue of him. While the drinks may be a bit pricey, it's an intriguing experience to follow in the footsteps of this renowned writer and see Havana through his eyes.
My wife and I had a great afternoon here. A must visit place given the Hemingway heritage. We enjoyed seats at the bar and took in the fine music from two bands. The drinks were good. Started with the Havana Club 7 years spices, tried their mojito, and daiquiri’s. The bar staff are friendly. Only tried the bar food and had what was a panini accompanied with nuts.
Allan W — Google review
Definitely a beautiful bar, especially in relation to Ernest Hemingway. However, 7.50 USD for a Daiquiri is a very high price, especially for this country. Additionally, when we entered, we asked if card payment is possible, which the waiter assured, especially since we were low on cash for Cuba. When we then tried to pay, the card payment did not work and, as the cashier told us, did not work for some time before.
Samu — Google review
A true tourist tap but it is a must do. We arrived just at opening and the band was already going full on. The do make a great daiquiri, and like I said it is a must, along with a photo of the bust of Hemingway. This spot is a lot of fun. It does get busy very quickly.

Hemingways Bar. Home of the Daiquiri. History brings the hype. But that's where the charm ends. The love music is pretty good though. The band is talented. Th food and cocktails are alright. They are pricey because they know every tourist visiting Cuba will come here.

A historic cafe, where Hemingway spent his time. Inside there is also a sculpture of him at the bar. The first Daiquiri was also made here. And at the same time, it's the best I've tried, I recommend Floridita Daiquiri. They are expensive because this is a sure tourist place, where every tourist will come to visit.

Overrated! If you want to snob a little and take a look at Ernest Hemingway - recommend. Otherwise pointless - you can drink as good (or even better) daiquiri in many other bars in Havana, and even 3 times cheaper!

Tucked away from the main tourist areas, Mojito-Mojito provides a taste of genuine Cuban street life and pays homage to the country's culinary heritage.
Stopped just for drinks ...excellent e mojito(!) great people, live music was so invigorating we all danced. The waiter took his time to educate us about local rum....yum yum 😋

Regrettably I was the only patron to be visiting this excellent bar & restaurant on Sunday for lunch 1st June 2025 at 13.00hrs. Will visit again. No to be missed if you visiting Havana. Lacked atmosphere but enjoyed the peace and quiet too.
Anoop K — Google review
Excellent food service and live music. The staff were amazing and a rest live band playing
Michelle E — Google review
This restaurant is discreetly located near Plaza Vieja, with a menu focused on more modern cuisine. I had good beef carpaccio and ceviche as starter. Very well prepared dishes and presentation, but not really good on seasoning (for me) and pricey compare to other restaurant that offer similar dishes. We ordered some of the mojitos on the menu, which has some interesting variations on the classic drink. Very good and humorous service, as well as one of the best Cuban music groups we've heard in Havana. It was a great experience.

Fantastic night live music food was the best we have eaten in Havana highly recommend the atmosphere was brilliant
Jayne R — Google review
We 'popped' in for dinner but ended up staying all night. It was on Mothers Day so was very busy but got a table outside. The food was fantastic and of course so where the mojito's! Live music was playing at a window just behind us and they were superb. Thanks for a great evening.
Tom L — Google review
Great place for dinner. We visited twice with mixed results. The first time we ordered off the standard menu and it was excellent. The second time, they had a special holiday menu and it was only average. One of the top places to visit in Havana.

Friendly service, we visited this place twice during our holiday... The mojito was nothing special, but the pineapple daiquiri was awesome :)! Grilled shrimp was also delicious! On the top there is often live music! :)

They have a variety of food to satisfy different tastes. The quality and presentation of the dishes is wonderful. It was a family meal that I will definitely repeat. The drinks and cocktails will meet your expectations. Thanks to Ernesto and the rest of his team for their excellent service.

We've had some great meals in Havana but this was along the best. On par with any fine restaurant in Europe. Alejandro was an excellent server and Joshua an excellent host. We will return!

My husband and I had dinner here tonight and everything was amazing. I don’t even remember the name of the drink because we were tipsy but they were very good!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!! I had the glazed chicken with pineapple and tostones my husband had the seafood risotto! The customer service was amazing as well!
Sonia P — Google review
Our host suggested this place for the view and the food. We had the tacos and garbanzos. The view overlooked the water and the garbanzo beans were so tasty! Definitely would suggest this restaurant
Sarah H — Google review
The food here was very delicious. I enjoyed the chicken with the pineapple glaze. It was similar to a teriyaki chicken, but with a fruity twist. The pina coladas were delicious, as well! I will say, this is a restaurant for foreigners. The majority if not all of the customers there were Americans or Canadians. Not that that should deter, but the tourism-y aspect drives up the price a bit. Certainly would come back when I return!

Great discovery. Very tasty food. Its a go..
Michael S — Google review
Very nice ambiance and the staff was very nice to us. We went on a Sunday and the place was packed. It was impossible to eat since we didn't have a reservation. We went back the next day and we had a very nice time. The shrimp risotto was amazing as well as the pineapple chicken. It is a little expensive compara to other places but the food was really tasty, the views very nice and the staff was very attentive. I will recommend this place of you want to relax and eat watching the sunset near the malecón.
Laura R — Google review
Perfection in a plate. At the recommendation of our host we gave it a try and kept coming back. I tried the braised lamb one day and ropa vieja another day. These are dishes that if rushed will come out tough and dry but clearly they took the time to cook it right. Both of them were super tender and seasoned all through. Spices were on point and very hearty dishes. Pro tips: Make a reservation, it gets packed any day of the week. Get the bread! Chef’s bread is amazing. Fresh, warm and soft like clouds. Try the mojito

Riomar is a renowned restaurant known for its stunning location, offering a unique view of the Almendares River and the Torreon de la Chorrera. The minimalist concept prevailing in the place reflects in its elegant decor, presentation of dishes, and service. This award-winning restaurant offers a mix of local, Mediterranean, and international cuisine with popular dishes like ropa vieja and pasta.
If you want to enjoy good food with an nice view of the see, this is your place. Located in Vedado neighborhood, this place is a little bit too far away for people who are staying in the City Center or Old Havana. It is more or less 45 min walking from there. But the food and drinks are really good quality and very tasty. I ordered the Lam in wine sauce, it was spectacular, really tender and so much flavor. Fish is pretty good, too. I recommend the ceviche as a starter. The service is pretty friendly. Make sure to eat in the terrace where you can appreciate the view.

A great B&B in the centre of Havana. This is the way to live if you want to experience the real Havana. When you walk out on the balcony or out of the door, you are right among the locals. The rooms are okay. You have everything you need. The food is good, but not great. Some of the staff doesn't speak good English, but can still understand you, and sometimes you can get the feeling that they might be somewhat ignorant towards you. But overall a great place.

The menu, curated by Swedish cook Jonas Anderson, features an eclectic mix of dishes including seafood casserole and nuggets a lo Cubano.
The place is located in central Havana. The server can speak English well and very nice. The food is expensive compare with other restaurant. But It was very cool. The drink menu is simple and amazing. They have some special Daiquiri. You should try it. Also They have amazing live music. What I liked best was the atmosphere. If you have a anniversary something like that, Here is best place I guess.

AVOID! This place is so bad. They also charge a $20 USD cover charge which is hilarious because they don’t even charge covers for that price in the US. The food is disgusting and we heard the chef sneeze in the back while cooking so that was cool. They gave me undercooked pasta in snot-yellow sauce. The shrimp was overcooked and the prices were too high for the low quality service and food they offered. The server barely spoke to us and we had to flag people down for the check. Weird vibes. Also, they are only open when they feel like it. Don’t trust their hours on Google. Waste of my time and money.
Oheshia — Google review
Great place to finish out a visit to Havana. Like most of Cuba, a lot of the items on the menu were not available. When you go inside you are greeted with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful decor. Ps: We got there early and had the place to ourselves. After, we walked along the waterfront and enjoyed the sunset…
Justin G — Google review
We were disappointed with our experience here; first, the night we had reservations we showed up and the place was closed. We went back the next night and they were open, but we were the only table for a long time. Also, only about 1/3 of their menu was available; and the 1/3 that was wasn’t very good… It appears in past reviews that they used to do a show, but it was very quiet and empty. Our least favorite meal, and least friendly service of the whole trip.
Leah C — Google review
Found it by searching Google Maps. You wouldn't find it without. Sometimes there's live music too. Menus are great. Cocktails excellent. Even for Havana, this looks like a hipster restaurant. You will probably need a reservation, cause it's full in the evening.

Good food compared to many other places, but certainly not the best in Havana. It is also quite expensive (only place I thought this) and the portions were disappointing small. But the food tasted good, so better than 95% of places you will find in the city!

One of the most unique experiences I had in Cuba. Their Christmas menu was fantastic and the live music was wonderful!

In my opinion a bit overrated. Compared to neighbouring places it is your best choice. However the hygiene (table, cutlery & bathroom) as well as food quality and service do not deserve more than a 3 out of 5. At least not at the day of our visit and in relation to the prices charged.

Plenty of outdoor seating, which means you’ll get visits from both the cats and the mosquitoes at night. We ordered the grilled fish which came out partly raw- had to send it back to the kitchen which the waitress took offense to and was unapologetic about. First you are greated with a wonderful hostess. Then you are taken into a luxurious sitting area to dine. The hostess' treat you like a king and queen and the food was absolutely the best in any restuarant in Cuba. The service was prompted and professional. Absolutely recommend this dining experience.

The restaurant is way beyond Cuba standards! Ceviche is amazing, nice shrimp tacos. Main dishes are also delicious. I wish there was some live music. After doing a little research and asking recommendations from the hotel's concierge and our driver, we independently came to the same spot. The restaurant is only a few minutes away from our hotel (Melia Habana). Both my wife and I enjoyed our supper. The menu offers terrific choices. The portions were generous and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. A meal with drinks for 2 costs us $55 USD. Make sure to bring cash (USD or local currency) as they do not take credit cards. The only downside would be the choice of music. It was more along the lines of loud American pop/dance and seemed out of place for the rest of the ambience.

Avoid! The only good thing is that one of the waitresses, although inexperienced, speaks english. The food is a joke - they didn't have everything on the menu, the sandwiches are made with soft bread not baguette, they don't know what an iced coffee is, literally. I have asked for 1 with 2 shots of espresso in it and i got 2 mini coffees with a bit of milk in them. As for the mains I only wanted a chicken leg with fried rice, not so difficult i believe. The chicken was cold in the middle and has been boiled before and after that fried so it tasted disgusting. I am not even mentioning the tired salad and the rice. I have sent it back and they did not charge me for it. Empanadas were doughy, bland, flavourless, not enough filling. I understand the food crisis in the country but the restaurants need to start hiring people who can actually cook and learn how to use spices. Unacceptable!

This is a VERY cool restaurant in Havana we have eaten in a couple of times (breakfast and dinner). The food is great, with an Iranian flair. If you need a place for breakfast I highly recommend it. The prices are reasonable for Havana.
Patrick F — Google review
The place was really nice; it didn't have a very Iranian feel with all the characters from different parts of the world but the food was really good. It was different, but quite enjoyable. We tried a couple of things, including a dish of multiple times as appetizers and they were all good. The only thing that was not that good was the chocolate cake that the waiter had recommended.

Very kind and attentive service. Server helped me choose a vegetarian option, of which there are several. Got the veg plate which was lots of food, you taste a lot of different dishes for 1400 CUP, I left full & will likely return at some point to try their breakfast.

It was our first experience of eating in a restaurant in Cuba, and also in trying Iranian food. We loved the excellent service of our waitress LILY the first person to receive us very friendly, professional, attentive and above all a great smile, we had breakfast and we returned more late with the rest of the family that came from Mexico, very grateful to the service and attention of putting music on my birthday, we will really be back because the food was excellent.

I absolutely loved coming here.. All the wait staff was great but Leyanet is especially memorable. Do not expect to be blown away by the food. Although it is Persian/middle eastern, there are Cuban influences sprinkled in. I love Persian steamed rice and Naan so I was a bit disappointed when these servings were not authentic. Other than that the food was okay. I enjoyed having tea here. Atmosphere was chill and laid back. Adding a playlist of Cuban or even Persian music would be a nice addition. This is a nice inexpensive spot that I'm sure I will visit again.

Discover a delightful taste of Italy right in the vibrant heart of Havana at Eclectico, located on the first floor of the charming boutique hotel Paseo 206. This culinary gem is brought to life by an Italian-Cuban couple who also run Havana's only authentic Italian market. The menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering options, making it a popular breakfast destination for its delectable pastries and an inviting choice for dinner with its exquisite charcuterie boards and pasta dishes.
Amazing Italian food in a beautiful boutique hotel. The food and drinks were amazing. The carbonara was delicious along with the seafood pasta
Josh G — Google review
A boutique hotel unlike any other in Habana, but a service at the restaurant that is shockingly "hit or miss". We went twice in a week to the Eclectico restaurant, and even though the first visit was excellent on many levels, our last visit was an absolute disappointment : waiters huffing while being asked for water, showing an extreme lack of good will with everything we asked, seemingly bored and pulling out a very dull and "and of an era" atmospher throughout the dinner. Sad to notice that we came back because our first time there was quite good, but the second was so bad that we will not come again.

Nicely decorated restaurant in the Vedado restaurant. Italian inspired food. Quite pricey compared to some other restaurants that we visited.

One of my go to restaurants while in the Vedado section of Havana, it may be the best Italian food in the city with wonderful an atmosphere in an elegant location. It is a bit pricey for Havana, but still cheap for travelers. The lobster and seafood pasta is delicious. Live music outside a couple of times a week, if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the night to go.

One of the best restaurants in Cuba and certainly the best Italian restaurant. Service oriented staff with excellent food and cocktails. They have live Jazz music most Thursdays and Saturdays. And of course, the water is filtered so you can trust the cocktails and uncooked vegetables.

A place to be in HAV. I was there already several times, and it is always nice comming back. Very friendly and polite service, good italian food to reasonable prices. In the evening hours good life music, which rounds up the atmosphere. Last but not least the design of this Boutique Hotel is worth to be mentioned. Excellence in perfection.

Grados is a Cuban restaurant with an outdoor garden setting, serving up Cajun and Creole dishes, as well as Fusion cuisine that incorporates Latin flavors. The food is high quality and presentation is excellent. The atmosphere at Grados is more local, with patrons chatting and enjoying the fresh breeze.
We visited in Friday night. It was our 10 year anniversary and one of the best meals either of us have ever had. We enjoyed all the food on the tasting menu accompanied by an excellent Saperavi wine. Raolito was very happy to show us around his kitchen and talk about his love of food and the ‘science’ of his cooking. What an amazing experience. If you are a foodie then you must eat at Grados if you are in Havana!!

This was the best restaurant of our whole trip. Cuban fusion. Everything was delicious. Small, intimate restaurant located at the chef’s family home. They couldn’t have been nicer, even invited us to visit the kitchen and chat. A special meal.

Hands down the best restaurant I had in Habana. The food tasting menu was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. As a non-spanish speaker, we had hard times getting a good restaurant in Cuba, until we found this gem. You can pay in USD and they offer a very good exchange rate for it. À essayer!
Robert — Google review
A little expensive by Cuban standards but by foreigner standards very reasonable for upscale tasting-menu style food. Small portions of each and the items had the most depth of texture and flavor of anything I ate in Havana on my visit. Staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. All customers appeared to be foreign tourists.

Stellar tasting menu of homestyle Cuban food. Some of the best food we've had on our trip. Highly recommend

Amazing food ! Seriously my favorite place. The multiple courses were all made from scratch & just enough. topped off with ice cream it made for the best meal on our trip ( the slow cooked pork was so good like Texas BBQ)

This was a highlight of our trip with the inventive and delicious food in a gorgeous and peaceful setting. The service was attentive and personal. Raul was friendly and welcoming. Our favorite dishes were the raw fish appetizer and the lamb. Would definitely come back when in Havana.

Home of the famous Bazuk drink, Grados offers a unique in-house brewed sparkling alcoholic drink made from pru oriental, an original eastern Cuban refreshing brown-colored drink with medicinal properties. Raulito (Grados' main host, chef and owner) offers one of Cuba's most incredible culinary shows at his multidisciplinary venue. With an continuous in progress degustation menu and at times over to 10 courses, this is a must go restaurant in 2019 Havana's scene.

El Chanchullero is a quirky and irreverent spot in Havana, Cuba that stands out by avoiding the typical fascination with Ernest Hemingway. The owners have taken an opposite approach, even displaying signs that read 'Hemingway was never here.' This establishment offers amazing cocktails and a varied food menu. It combines an unassuming atmosphere with traditional Cuban food served in large portions at affordable prices. The main courses, including various chicken and pork dishes, are particularly noteworthy.
This place is so good that I went twice for dinner in consecutive nights. The lobster was very good and I like that they gave lots of green and avocado with it. It’s very reasonably priced as many have commented. I surely recommend this place for good food, reasonable price and nice view from the rooftop.

** Great Food & Generous Portions** Delicious meals with large servings—you really can't go wrong here. The atmosphere is fun, and the seating offers a great view of the lively streets.

One of the Worst Dining Experiences I've Had From start to finish, this place was a complete disappointment — but the worst part by far was the service, or rather, the lack of it. We ordered tacos as a starter and pizza as the main course, and made it very clear to the server that we wanted the dishes brought out separately. Instead, everything came out at once — tacos, pizza, and drinks all dumped on the table in one go. Then they just vanished. No plates, no forks, no napkins. Just food, as if we were expected to eat everything with our bare hands like we were at a picnic we didn’t sign up for. We waited, looked around, tried to get someone’s attention — but no one came back. It felt like we were completely forgotten the moment the food hit the table. As for the food itself? Tasteless and poorly made. The tacos were bland and soggy, and the pizza was dry and flavorless, with low-quality ingredients that clearly hadn’t seen seasoning in their lives. We didn’t even finish half of it. The atmosphere was just as neglected — dim lighting, sticky tables, and a general vibe that no one cared about anything happening there. It wasn’t just a bad night; it was a restaurant that clearly doesn't value its customers or their own reputation. If you’re considering eating here, don’t. There are plenty of better places that at least know how to serve food — and people.

This is the best I had in Cuba!! Super delicious and great price. I came here three times in two days. Lobster is the BEST! ROPA VIEJA DE RES is also one of our favorite. Both highly recommend. Love the vegetables and fruits come with the dish! Also love the rice. The best drink is CATARRO.

Food and service was good, very busy place but was lucky to get a table with a good view. Servers were attentive even though super busy, and extremely appreciative of the tip given. I’d definitely go here again, 1950 for lobster meal and 450 per mojito

I would not recommend here, i asked for chicken fajitas and look at the photo on what they brought out? The food is low quality, the staff member we had was helpful as he could be but food was awful and the cost of it like $36 USD for 2 people very expensive, in Havana centre we was eating for about $5 per person. La fuenta is not far from here id recommend here its a bit cheaper but much better food and service

Parrandas was walking distance from our B&B and we truly enjoyed the whole experience. The ambiance is very nice with a nice view of Havana. One of the best meals we had in Havana! Great atmosphere overlooking Havana's skyline, lots of outdoor seating. Service was friendly, but not in a rush. Nestled in the vibrant Vedado district of Havana, Camino al Sol is a delightful vegetarian haven that offers a refreshing escape from traditional Cuban fare. This charming eatery specializes in an array of meat-free dishes, including delectable quiches, hearty soups, and creamy risottos. Their homemade pasta is a standout feature, showcasing their commitment to fresh ingredients and culinary creativity.
This place is great! A little tricky to find at night because the street isn’t well lit, like most of Havana. I was just so happy to find somewhere that wasn’t meat-centric. Food was very good. Interior was bright and clean. Staff was friendly and they had someone who could translate most of the menu. It would be helpful to know some of the language, as the menu is not translated. You have to ask what each item is. You can see most of the food in a display. I liked that they had outlets throughout The restaurant. Nice to have, if you need to charge a dead phone.

TL;DR: excellent from start to finish. The most creative food we have eaten in three weeks in Cuba. Out of a wide array of Italian-Cuban fusion vegan and vegetarian dishes, we went for a black bean cannoli, pumpkin sauce pasta, gnocchi stew and a black bean terrine with spiced tomato and chard sauce. The freshness was evident and the flavour plentiful. Stomach capacity limitations stopped us ordering more; we managed to squeeze in churros for dessert and a cup of the some of the best espresso Havana has to offer. The staff were kind, helpful (in identifying which dishes weren’t vegan) and spoke excellent English. Top marks all round. In

I would eat here everyday if possible. I came here several times while in Havana and the experience was better each time. I used google translate to read the vast menu, which helped a lot. The food is farm to table fresh, with lovely flavor. The customer service was perfect, aftet my 3rd visit, I felt like family. The food is made with love and the chef seeked my approve after each visit. A must visit! Highly, highly rated, especially for our plant based family!

As a frequent traveler and part-time resident of Havana, I have found this to be one of my favorite places. I often bring groups to Cuba and this has become one of the recommended places, particularly if you’re vegan or vegetarian. The food is delicious and well presented, the place is clean, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I recommend it to anyone whether they are vegetarian or not.

Extra star for being a trailblazer!! Only fully vegan restaurant I came across in Havana. The food was ok but appreciating what limited resources they have, they did an excellent job in a varied menu with eclectic offerings including pastas, falafel, empanadas, rice dishes, soups, desserts and lovely juices. For me it was bland but my mom loved the rice dish they were able to make without onions and garlic. I ordered soup which was okay. Some of the other dishes were too distracted in flavor or just underseasoned in general. People were very lovely and kind. Thank you!
Meera D — Google review
Amazing good a fresh food! A great jem. Especially as Havana is hard for vegetarian/vegan. This place took all that Cuba has to offer and created something great. A must go!

This is a truly wonderful place for vegan/vegetarian and healthy food. It was a little hard to navigate all of the options with very limited Spanish-abilities. I wish it were clear what was vegan and not just vegetarian. There is a very vast menu and the service is quick when getting pre-prepared options that are just heated up.

Located in Old Havana near Parque Central, O'Reilly 304 is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a spectacular menu featuring a wide variety of dishes and an extensive list of drinks. From tacos and tostones to lobster and their famous ceviche, the menu is considered one of the best in the city. Due to its popularity, it's recommended to arrive early, especially during peak travel seasons.
Amazing place, great food and also good prices. A lovely place to eat and have a few drinks in Havana. We also got a flower before we left as a gift. Loved the stuff. They are super friendly.

the most recent menu photos are from 10 months ago, so I updated it. Why? I wanted to order a chicken soup and croquettes to go, but seeing they have substantially raised their prices, I could only get the soup (didn’t bring enough to cover such inflation) BUT the soup was delicious. I didn’t mind the 2000CUP from the 1200 that it was, but I find it weird to charge a 10% service charge when I asked for it to go. And then to be charged another 500 pesos for the to go container which wasn’t mentioned before ordering is also weird. I ended up paying 2700 pesos for a small order of soup.

We went here this Oct during low season and were pleasantly surprised what the small restaurant had to offer. We were given free appetizing chips and salsa-like sauce to start, which was delicious but I thought was a little spicy. 2 minutes later there was a new "salsa" in front of me. The woman cooking above us heard our conversation with the sever and immediately made me a small non-spicy version. I thought this was so thoughtful and appreciated cause it was delicious. The drinks were great, full of flavor and the food was good with big portions. Prices were great compared to American prices for what you get.

Great food and service! We had the beef tacos & lobster. They also serve sweet potato chips with their own homemade sweet & spicy salsa which is a really nice touch. The only thing missing from the lobster and stirfry vegetables was some rice or Yuka on the side. But very tasty and nice air conditioned restaurant .

O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar in Habana stands out as a true gem in the heart of the city, offering an exquisite dining experience that seamlessly blends flavors, ambiance, and exceptional service. Starting with the appetizer, the tostones con ropa vieja was a culinary masterpiece. The plantains were perfectly fried to a golden crisp, providing the ideal canvas for the rich and savory ropa vieja topping. The combination of textures and flavors showcased the chef's mastery in creating a dish that was not only delicious but also a perfect introduction to the Cuban culinary journey. For the main course, the Masas de Cerdo continued the culinary excellence. The pork morsels were succulent, flavorful, and expertly seasoned, reflecting a commitment to quality ingredients and skilled preparation. The dish offered a wonderful exploration of traditional Cuban flavors, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. However, what truly set O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar apart was the impeccable service. The staff demonstrated a genuine passion for hospitality, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. From recommendations on the menu to timely service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the attention to detail was evident throughout. The ambiance of the tapas bar added to the overall charm. The cozy and stylish interior created a relaxed setting, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. The combination of delectable cuisine and a welcoming environment made O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar a standout dining destination in Habana. In conclusion, my experience at O'Reilly 304 Tapas Bar was nothing short of delightful. The tostones con ropa vieja, Masas de Cerdo, and, above all, the exceptional service made it a memorable culinary adventure. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this tapas bar is a must-visit for those seeking a perfect blend of flavors and warm hospitality in the heart of Habana. I eagerly look forward to returning to savor more of their culinary delights.

Jazz Club La Zorra Y El Cuervo is a renowned live music venue located in Havana's Vedado neighborhood. It is an intimate and iconic spot known for its live jazz performances, featuring a variety of genres from boleros to hip hop. The club's decor exudes vintage charm with dim lighting, vintage furniture, and photos of Cuba's musical legends adorning the walls. The atmosphere is vibrant, drawing a diverse crowd of both young and older patrons.
Very cool, subterranean jazz club within walking distance from the Cuban National Hotel. The young band we saw was magnificent. Highly recommended.

Super cool little jazz bar. Cheap drinks $3 usd for a mojito. Did not eat here. Excellent atmosphere and good musicians every night we visited Stopped in 3 nights out of 7 in Havana. Doors closed early as there wasn’t much of a crowd, but times are tough.
Zach D — Google review
This is the perfect place for music and cocktails. The musicians are out of any league, cover is 500 pesos including a free drink, which is as cheap as it gets, cocktails are good and 250 pesos each, I just love this place. If you go, arrive between 21:30 and 22:00 if you wanna have the best seats, or around 22:30 when they start playing. Note that the jam will only last about an hour or two, but it ought to be an incredible moment!
Jules L — Google review
Nice, authentic Jazz club. Local talent and nice cocktails. Very small and a bit crammed, so make sure to be early for a concert to gain some decent seating. People will line up for at least an hour. So be there at 10 if the show starts at 11pm.
Andreas L — Google review
The rating is a bit unfair because of the band that was playing there that night. We came about 11 o clock in a Thursday night and the band was on a break. The cover charge was 300 pesos which included a drink so it was very reasonable. The club was small but cosy with a decent sound system. However the band was very very strange. We are used to more avant garde styles, it seems like the music was original music with a little bit of a drum and bass style. However it was just too much keyboard solos and drum solos and it was a waste of a trumpet, saxophone and trombone. I like drum solos and even bass solos but after three songs we left. It was just too heavy handed on the rhythm section.

Sloppy Joe's Bar in Havana is a historic and iconic establishment that has attracted tourists and celebrities for decades. Founded by Jose Garcia, an immigrant from Galicia, the bar became popular during the Prohibition era in the United States, drawing American tourists to Havana. After the Cuban Revolution, Sloppy Joe's was nationalized and eventually closed in 1965. However, it was meticulously restored and reopened in 2013 with support from the Office of the Historian of Havana.
Had great pina colada after visiting the museum of modern art 🖼️ ( it’s just around the corner) it’s a historic bar where artists visit dressed in thematic clothes. Great pitch stop. Didn’t eat anything.

Lively bar that’s good for drinks but steer clear of the food. The bar is well decorated and can get very busy in the evening however we get served promptly and the drinks are refreshing. The food is a different story. It wasn’t particularly busy, there was still seating available, but our food took more than an hour to arrive (we weren’t the only ones). And whilst I could excuse it if it was delicious but is was very average, lacking any flavour or skill (two pieces of toast with lettuce, ham, cheese and pork with no seasoning, sauce, herbs or spices). The tacos were better.

SCAMMERS! We ate tacos and burger and had two drinks. The waiter charged 3 out of 4 things more than its actual price. Also, in menu it says that you can pay with card but it is a lie. They did not have change in euros to return so they returned half euros half dollars. He even tried to take some change for himself. Shame on him!!!!!

Place was beautiful. I was totally surprised when I saw sloppy joes in the middle of Havana. I just had to go ! When they're at night and the place was pretty full but we still managed to find a awesome table. The menu was pretty big and I think it was the only place I went to where they had Jose Cuervo tequila. I can't live without my tequila sunrises. I ordered some sliders and they were amazing. We stayed at the Iberostar Parque Central Hotel so this bar was just round the corner. Large bar serving all the usual Cuban cocktails plus more. Burgers are quite good too, but don't leave it too late in the evening for a snack here as the kitchen closes quite early. A lot of history stuff is on the walls a round which is interesting to read while your Mojito is sliding down.
