The Museum of Discovery and Science, situated in the heart of Fort Lauderdale's arts and science district, is a popular destination for both kids and adults. Established in 1977, this downtown facility spans 150,000 square feet and features interactive exhibits, an eco-center, a giant IMAX theater, an outdoor science park, live animal displays, and engaging science demonstrations.
I went to see the Dino exhibit with my son. Good stuff. If you’re local and you think your kid will like it a lot, I suggest getting one of the memberships. It’s $44 for 1 kid 1 adult without membership. And for what it is, that’s a bit expensive. But it’s still a great day for any kids 10 or under.

It was awesome sauce. I loved the hurricane wind thingie me and my friend felt like the main character xd. Loved the shop and food too the popcorn was super tasty and not dry. Even the little kids section was fun and the slides were epic! 5 stars 👻👻👻
Camila — Google review
Went on a rainy day while on vacation with two kiddos; 1yo and 3yo. There was plenty for us to do for several hours. It kept the kids busy, running around and just touching and exploring things! Great option for families to beat the heat or rain.
Ashley C — Google review
Absolutely awesome place to be! 😍 The giant clock at the entrance ⏰ sets the mood for an adventure right from the start. Perfect for curious minds of all ages — truly a playground for adventurous homo sapiens 🧬🦖. The IMAX theatre 🎬 is spectacular and makes every show an unforgettable experience. The exhibits are mind-blowing 🤯, super fun 🎉, and incredibly educational 📚. Every corner sparks wonder ✨ and excitement 😄. Highly recommended! 🌟🛸

I had the opportunity to take my sons here over the summer multiple times while using the south Florida adventure pass. Every time we went, it was a different experience. My boys love the Discovery Spot play area. Just make sure you reserve your spot when you check in at the front desk. They do fill up fast on the weekends. This area allows for their curiosity to take over with so many learning opportunities of cause and effect. We also love entering the Magna-tiles room found on the second floor. There is a space limit so sometimes you have to wait to enter. Again, usually only on the weekends. Our last visit had the Paw Patrol exhibit. All the little kids present were having a blast! I’m sure it was a little kids paradise. If you get the chance to do an IMAX documentary film, try it out. Our kids actually made it through the entire showing of Wild Rescue! My kids never say no to a day at MODS!
Jeanette P — Google review
So many broken exhibits. See the pics. For $50 for an adult and child. Would of been nice if things worked. Kid was disappointed when he went to try something and it was broken. Over 10 exhibits were broken
Ivan S — Google review
My 4-year-old loves this museum, and it definitely has great potential. The ground floor is in good shape, with newer exhibits that are well maintained. However, the second floor is in noticeable disrepair, I’d estimate that around 30% of the interactive exhibits weren’t functioning. Unfortunately, we experienced the same issues during our visit five months ago, which suggests little has been done in the meantime. I’ve attached photos showing several broken elements (including one of the aquariums, which was in very poor condition). I forgot to photograph the main kinetic tower at the entrance, but that wasn’t working either. It’s disappointing because the museum has so much to offer and kids really enjoy it, but at $25 per ticket, I would expect better.
Nicole R — Google review
We visit this museum when we're nearby and we really enjoy their exhibits, different stations and can easily spend 3 hours here. The exhibits change quite often and my kids' favorites are the Teva blocks, sand pit and 4D stimulation ride. I think it's great for kids of all ages especially their movie documentary, and their Discovery Spot for kids 6 and under.

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is a historic 1920s plantation home in Fort Lauderdale, once owned by American artists Frederic and Evelyn Barlett. The estate features an art gallery, lush gardens, and environmental preservation on its 35-acre property. It offers a glimpse of Old Florida architecture, with Frederic's murals adorning the ceilings and Evelyn's unique collection of monkey art.
This was a really cool place to visit. A lot of history, making more history. A beautiful place inside the house and outside in the garden. A nice little stroll around the property and you’ll see all the different plants from different places. It’s awesome how he had 3 wives and I get it!!! lol The staff was great, but you cannot video or take pictures of the actual courtyard but you’re aloud to take them throughout the rooms. It’s really a one of a kind place and hopefully it will survive all the storms and never change.
J H — Google review
Such a great experience! Educational. Every one who was in sections of the house were very knowledgeable and super kind. We asked a lot of questions and they answered them all! The grounds have been kept up and are so beautiful! After we did our tour we spoke with any individuals about the museum. This is Definitely a must see when here!
Latita B — Google review
It is a beautiful place to visit and the history of the property and previous owners is intriguing. Dress lightly in the summer time and stay hydrated. There is plenty of shaded areas while you read about the different trees on the property. The volunteers are wonderful and they all love telling stories and answering questions. Thank you all for a nice day with engaged volunteers, it makes all the difference. We finished our tour right before the rain, but it was beautiful to watch.

A Dream Wedding Venue – Perfect for Any Size Celebration! We recently celebrated our wedding at Bonnet House, and it was nothing short of magical. Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, this venue offers the perfect blend of charm, history, and natural beauty. The gardens and grounds are breathtaking — a stunning backdrop that feels like a hidden tropical paradise. Our guests were in awe of the atmosphere, and our photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. What truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. From the first tour to the final send-off, the team was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. They were attentive to every detail and made us feel supported every step of the way. Bonnet House is a gem — a place where weddings of any size feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more wonderful team. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. This home is chockablock with visual feasts. The volunteer docents are very knowledgeable , friendly, and helpful. I really enjoyed taking a walk into the past of Fort Lauderdale. The house has been amazingly preserved and the stories and art are beautiful and inspiring— lives well lived!

Delightful from start to finish! The Docents gave informative information in many different ways! Such a beautiful place and a small cafe with delicious ice cream to end your adventure!

We just visited the gardens. It was beautiful and well kept. The people were friendly. It was a nice getaway to spend a couple of hours.

Bonnet House was so beautiful! The gardens were full of wildlife just wandering around, and the shell collection was really cool. I loved that there were volunteers in every room who knew tons of fun facts about the history of the place. It was such a fun girls’ day out and I think kids 16 and under get in for free.

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale is a testament to the city's history and natural beauty. Originally acquired by Hugh Taylor Birch in 1893 as a retreat, the park remained largely undeveloped until 1940 when Birch began construction on his residence. The park features a diverse wildlife habitat with marsh rabbits, turtles, and gopher tortoises among its inhabitants. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, fishing, and exploring the freshwater lagoon.
I had the best time ever at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park! There are so many beautiful places to explore, and the staff here is incredibly kind and helpful. When I was paying for entry, a lovely lady offered me a ride around the park. She called someone, and soon Mark arrived to give me a wonderful tour! He even picked up a few other visitors along the way, and we all had such a great time together. What a special day it was—thank you so much for the hospitality and unforgettable experience!
Svetlana B — Google review
I was so surprised by this beautiful park! When I was heading over towards it I thought it was just a park. But as soon as I arrived I was greeted by the most friendly people of Fort Lauderdale and they asked me if I wanted a tour through the park. This was done by one of their volunteers and she was so excited to tell me all about the nature. The trails were beautiful and there was so much to see and explore. You can fill a whole day over here if you want. There is also a restaurant where you can take a lunch and have a drink. Oke… the worst part of this park THE BIG AMOUNT OF SPIDERS!!!!! They were soooo big and there were many of them! Even in the center of the trails.
Maud L — Google review
Overall, a really cool experience nature trail just steps from the beach. Unique plants and trees, and massive spiders hanging from them. Stick to the paved path, unless you have bug spray. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE. They unfortunately love me and I got 25 bites in roughly 10 minutes. If you walk in there without bug spray, you are a mosquito’s next big feast. Starting at the beach is probably recommended, so you can end there naturally. There were people riding bikes through here, which is something I would do if I visited again.
Rachel — Google review
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a hidden gem! The nature walk is absolutely beautiful—peaceful trails surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. The waterfront view is stunning, perfect for relaxing or taking photos. Everything is well-maintained, and it’s a great spot to escape the city and enjoy some fresh air. Highly recommend for nature lovers or anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind.
Scratch L — Google review
Beautiful park with trails, kayak rentals, beach access and a restaurant. You can walked the paved road or alongside it on a dirt road enveloped by beautiful trees. Plenty of benches to relax. There is also a stop for the water taxi (additional fee, hop on/off all day). The taxi offers multiple stops up and down the intercoastal all while enjoying the views of beautiful homes. Las Olas, the last stop, is perfect for a bite to eat and some shopping. Park is clean, staff are friendly and offered an abundance of information about the park.
Katherine M — Google review
Top Rated State Park! It's huge! Endless Trails and nature. One side borders the Intercoastal Waterway and the other A1A and the beach. Prime real estate that luckily got Perserved! There's even a cute restaurant.
Denise C — Google review
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a nice spot 🌿🌞 for a relaxing day outdoors. The walking trails are pleasant 🚶‍♂️, the waterways are calm 🚣‍♀️, and you can spot some interesting wildlife 🦎🦢. It’s a good place for a picnic 🍉 or a short kayak ride 🛶. Not overly crowded, but not extremely thrilling either — an experience for nature lovers and families alike.
Tejas S — Google review
This place is like an all-inclusive paradise 😌You get fresh air, beautiful nature, and plenty of space to explore. There are great hiking options, like the Beach Hammock Trail and an unpaved trail for a more rugged adventure. There’s so much to do—visit the Butterfly Garden, relax in Marti’s Meditation Garden, have a picnic in the North Picnic Area, or check out the Public Floating Boat Dock and Adventure Rentals. And if you’re in the mood for the beach, it’s just a five-minute walk away ☺️ For only $4 entry, this spot is a perfect weekend plan. Trust me, it’s one of the best choices you can make😎

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is a cultural hub in Broward County, boasting an extensive collection of over 7,500 works from renowned artists worldwide. The museum features post-war and Latin-American art, offering visitors unique insights into these influential movements.
Nice little surprise in Fort Lauderdale! Good exhibitions (Christo's Surrounded Islands, 1983, with the process detailed); Joel Meyercowitz (8x10" colour photos, and more).
Pedro R — Google review
Visited the Museum in May 2025 , first floor exhibition should have came with a warning of depression , sadness and anxiety. I know art is selective and in the eye of the beholder but seriously it did not give off a good feeling. Lucky on the second floor there was a Haitian artist that was more pleasant to look at . Second floor also displayed a few hundred pictures that gave us something to talk about . Overall we enjoyed the visit although I almost asked for a portion of my money back. Sorry.
Siomara E — Google review
I visited the NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale for First Thursdays and was excited to experience what I had heard was a vibrant and welcoming event. The children’s activities were truly well done—creative, engaging, and a great way to introduce young minds to the art world. The art exhibits themselves were impressive and thoughtfully curated. Unfortunately, despite these highlights, my overall experience was extremely disappointing. During our visit, my family and I were followed by not just one, but two staff members. It was very clear we were being racially profiled, which made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and deeply disrespected. It overshadowed everything the museum had to offer. We spoke with management to express our concerns and share how this treatment impacted our visit. While we were heard, the experience left a lasting impression—and not a good one. I can’t in good conscience recommend this museum to others, especially families of color. No one should have to endure being watched and judged simply for existing in a space that should be open and inclusive to all. Museums are supposed to inspire and educate, not alienate.
Shavonne J — Google review
Great art from diverse set of artists. Had a good experience. Much smaller than you would think so don't plan a full day here.
Salman D — Google review
Wonderful exhibit with local artist. My 11 year old was fascinated at the television with a knob. Stuff was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the artists works.
Michelle C — Google review
Very small museum with only 2 floors. Takes 30 mts to an hour to see it all. Overhead spot lights caused distracting glare on the art. It was overkill that 4 rooms were dedicated to one artist, Louis Glackens. A retrospect of 3 local artists was shown. It's great to support local artists but the pieces were lacking. Gift shop was nice. Staff and security were polite. Would not come back.
Sam A — Google review
Had a docent tour today.Quiet, on a hot summer Saturday. Just after opening.Very few people.Small museum. 2 floors, well spaced and not much to see.Really only a few artists on display. Lots of room and openness. Surprised at all the guards and security. Didn't seem necessary.
Gary S — Google review
This museum is very nice but can be very very boring for kids or anyone who doesn’t really like art. The displays were very pretty but the staff were always following you around making sure you don’t touch anything! Also no food or water is allowed inside! Also it wasent that busy

Historic Stranahan House Museum, dating back to 1901, is the oldest surviving building in the county and has witnessed over a century of Fort Lauderdale's rich history. Originally a trading post, it was later transformed into the residence of the Stranahan family in 1906. The family played a significant role in shaping the city's early development and holds a revered place in its collective memory as pioneers.
This place is fascinating!!! The curator who walked us in had the most interesting stories! I love the audio history of the house and area. I was pleasantly surprised that there are chairs to sit in on the balcony and you're encouraged to do so!
Ginny V — Google review
Go back in time to when Ft. Lauderdale first began with a trip to the Stranahan House. The self-guided audio tour gives you more than enough information about the Stranahans, the town, each room, and the people of the area from the early 1900’s up through Ivy’s death in 1971. This is a great tour for both locals and tourists. Be sure to take a break and sit on the outdoor porch for a bit to appreciate the beauty of the New River. While many of the artifacts in the house are “of the period”, there are a few gems that actually belonged to and were used by the Stranahans themselves. It’s a great affordable way to take in the quieter side of the city.
Heather E — Google review
I ❤️ history! Ft.lauderdale is my hometown. The volunteers were super nice. It was a self guided tour. Great! Good price. A step back in time away from modern world.
Samantha M — Google review
When it comes to South Florida, the history can be a bit more hidden. Between catastrophic hurricanes, housing market booms and busts, “old” buildings here are relatively new compared to other parts of the US or world. Ms. Jane was the curator onsite today and she greeted us and set us up with our touring “wands,” preprogrammed hand held audio devices that played the recorded material for each area or room of the house. From the foyer and office, to the parlor, dining room and kitchen downstairs, the bedrooms, bathrooms upstairs, the history of the early 20th century home was on display with antiques and period items and clothing, as well as the personal effects of Frank and Ivey Stranahan. One of my favorite parts was the upstairs wraparound porch. While there’s no touching in the house, here you were invited to sit in a white wicker chair and just watch the comings and goings along the New River’s water traffic. Yachts, water taxis, ferries, and paddle wheel steam boats touring all pass by while you take in the view. The tour was about 45 minutes long, though self-paced. Ms. Jane was well versed in the history of the home and other lore of the home. Well worth the visit to an oft-forgotten part of Florida history!
Jason T — Google review
It is a well done preservation of the Stranahan's 1900s era home with furnishings. The self-paced audio tour was convenient and informative. You just press a room number on your audio device to hear details about what's around you. There were high school student docents in some of the rooms but they didn't offer to speak to you and looked like they were almost asleep. Very small gift shop. The tour takes about an hour. You're welcome to sit for awhile on the second floor veranda and watch the boats go by on the New River. The patio was roped off because it was under construction. Located just steps away from the Water Taxi Stop One landing.
Sam A — Google review
A Step Back Time! This House is a delight and it's right in the midst of busy and modern Las Olas facing the beautiful New River. The house itself is a stunning example of simple yet beautiful design. Our guide, Missi, was very nice and very knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the Stranahan family's history. The self-guided audio tour was true ingenuity - it allowed us to explore the house at our own pace while still gaining a deeper understanding of its significance. What truly impressed us was how the museum transported us back in time. The carefully preserved interior and artifacts created an immersive experience. This was definitely a unique and enriching experience in Ft. Lauderdale, the Stranahan House Museum is an absolute must-visit.
Lexi W — Google review
Such a cool experience, felt like stepping back in time. The guides really know their stuff and share so much history. Every kid in South Florida should come learn about how Fort Lauderdale got started. here’s also a gift shop with souvenirs. Definitely a must-see and lots of fun.”

Met the care taker John, we had a great conversation, he has been there for more than 35 years. They are lucky to have such a wonderful person taking care of the house. Ask for John, he has amazing stories to share about the house. He is also a veteran, such an honor to meet him.

Beach
Fort Lauderdale Beach spans over 7 miles of sandy oceanfront, offering a variety of water sports and a lively promenade with access to shopping and dining. The city is known as the yachting capital of the U.S., making it almost essential to explore its waterways by boat. Visitors can opt for a local water taxi with multiple stops or enjoy a private experience on an electric gondola tour or boat charter.
Been visiting with Friends/Family for over 20 years now... Aside from a well kept, well run beach by the city of Fort Lauderdale, this is a rather nice area to workout beachside. The Beach Blvd strip is full of life in the early AM right around sunrise & thereafter. A mixture of locals & tourists are there watching the sunrise & plenty runners show up very soon after sunrise. There's also a Muscle Beach type area with plenty of bars & built in equipment for exercise with a full blown basketball court beside it. Plenty of parking as well & very reasonably priced as well. Restrooms nearby, large. Farmer's Market on weekends, plenty of events year-round, well monitored by Fort Lauderdale Police, & very diverse crowd.

As of Sept. 2025, with temperatures in the high 80’s and low 90s, beech is beautiful and it’s free! It is wide - at least a 100 ft of very nice clean white sand. The water is so clean you can see the bottom of the ocean when you are standing chest high in water. And the water is still warm, unlike for example, the ocean along New Jersey. There are life guards frequently punctuated along the beech. And yes, there are plenty of places to eat, to drink, to shop and to listen to music along the boulevard that stretches for many miles. Parking is available on the street for about $3 an hour and in a garage for $10 for the 1st hr.

There are so many beach options here. It depends on what type you like. The beach is always so white and clean A must-see place to watch the sunrise and sunset Occasionally, rainbows appear Many pigeons and birds are walking freely on the beach A great place to relax and sunbathe The sea water here is always warm. It is not cold. This is the best

Parking is $4 per hour, and you’ll need to cross the street to reach the beach and nearby restaurants. The beach itself is decent but had quite a bit of seaweed during my visit. 🏝️ ☀️

This little street (NE 9th St. & North Fort Lauderdale Beach boulevard) has nice stores around, but looks like it needs street cleaning ASAP! There is a pizza place on one side of this street and the smell is disgusting here even when you are just walking next to it, I can't even imagine sitting and eating food outside there. I don't care who's fault this is... If this would be my business on that street I would pull out a garden hose and wash this waste off...

This we everything I needed! The Beach was amazing, safe and not crowded. Lively experience going on the strip behind us added to the fun atmosphere along with the picturesque palm trees!

I was on the beach yesterday, my son played in the sand I put my foot in the sand , when leaving and showering off , i notice oil spots on me & my son feet. Be careful ….. there’s an oil leak somewhere so now is not the time to beach bomb. Any other time it’s amazingly wonderful. Warm clean water , very nice residents in the area , and all around great people & good times .
Brewsters B — Google review
Sand and waves were perfect. Did notice some strong currents so swim at your own risk. You can rent tables and umbrellas at a fair rate. There’s paid parking across the street and some restaurants within walking distance. The sand and beach overall were clean. Great place to bring the kids

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale is a charming park located along the banks of the New River, offering a variety of galleries, museums, and eateries. It is a nonprofit organization that has partnered with local groups to create an intentional destination for both locals and visitors. The park features beautifully landscaped areas where visitors can take leisurely strolls, enjoy delicious food from nearby eateries, and catch live shows.
Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale is a beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy with family! We had an awesome time walking along the waterfront, taking in the views, and riding the free water trolley — such a great touch, especially for visitors. The area is clean, safe, and full of charm, with plenty of spots to sit, take pictures, or grab a bite nearby. It’s a perfect mix of nature, city, and culture. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the best of Fort Lauderdale!

The free water trolley gives you a 20 minute ride to check out all the walk with amazing views but you can also walk around and use the bridge to cross. I think it is super worth to take. Other than that not a lot to do. I walked around and found a museum and cute spots for pictures. A lot of homelessness folks in the picnic area and benches around. Watertaxi is also available to go to the beach but I found it too expensive since it is a 32 per person ride. Tickets must be purchased online. Wouldn't recommend for a large group.

Art, Motion & the Flow of the Force 🌴 The Riverwalk isn’t just a scenic stroll — it’s an open-air gallery powered by history, art, and the hum of the New River. As I wandered through this urban oasis, the Force felt balanced — joggers, bikers, artists, and the occasional yacht captain all moving in harmony. 🎨 Public Art, the City’s Pulse Each corner reveals another masterpiece — from a painted sailboat sculpture shimmering like Naboo’s canals, to towering metal and stone creations that seem to channel the very spirit of the city. The giant cracked-open statue near Las Olas feels almost alive — like a guardian of creativity awakening under the bridge. 🚴‍♂️ Energy in Motion The Riverwalk attracts an endless stream of runners and cyclists — fitness-focused beings gliding by like speeder bikes through a calm urban forest. The path is clean, well-lit, and lined with greenery, perfect for both early-morning training or sunset meditation. 🌇 Twilight Magic & Modern Skyline As the sun dips behind the skyline, the bridges rise, yachts glide, and the water glows with reflections of downtown lights — a moment worthy of Jedi mindfulness. Sculptures, murals, and memorials tell stories of service, art, and resilience. ⭐ Verdict: A stunning blend of culture, cardio, and calm. Whether you walk, run, or simply stand in awe of the city’s artistry, the Riverwalk reminds you: motion and mindfulness — that’s how balance is found. A masterpiece along the New River, this is.

I visited it after reading the reviews, it's ok if you have spare time in Florida, Many art galleries in that street, beautiful artifacts, good paintings and sculptures, there is water taxi stand which is good to relax, allow 1 to 2 hrs visiting time, parking is around $3/HR any where close by

The Jungle Queen Riverboat is a vintage riverboat that provides sightseeing tours and dinner cruises along the New River and the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. The captain narrates interesting stories about the city's history, pointing out opulent mansions of celebrities, rock stars, and corporate elite along Millionaires Row.
I had an incredible time on the Jungle Queen Riverboat tour! The views from the river were absolutely stunning, offering picturesque scenes of the waterways and surrounding nature that made every moment visually spectacular. The highlight was definitely the Polynesian dance performance at the island—vibrant, energetic, and so engaging. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lively, making it a memorable outing. The only downside was the food, which was just okay and could use some improvement, but it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend this tour for the amazing views and cultural entertainment!

The ride was lovely. To get a small glimpse of how the other side lives looks beautiful. The all you can eat barbecue was good. The chicken strips were salty but the ribs were good. The after dinner show was great. The island where everything took place is beautiful. Of course all the staff were pleasant. Purchase tickets on Groupon.
Clare F — Google review
Firstly, all that is advertised is true. But the experience is more perception. There is a tour but at night so there isn't much to see except alot of rich people's boats (yachts) and houses. In other words the haves (them) and the have not (you). And if it rained, with rain protectors, you'ld see nothing. Yes, a tourist attraction (or trap). Carting 300 to 400 people in and out of a boat something like a herd. To get a supposed best seat an hour before the departure is absurd. There is no best seat. Total waste of time. The tour guide does his best to entertain and inform those who pay attention to whatever rich people data is worth learning. Then on to the private island of food and entertainment. The food is mediocre at best. Eat all you can (not all you can eat). Chicken fingers and ribs. All I hoped was to stay well afterwards. Dessert not included. Ice cream bar, there, but closed. Then the Hawaiian stage show. Uncomfortable seating. Ok show. Highlight, fire dance. Herded back to the boat and back to the dock. Value: I suppose so especially if you got discounted tickets on Groupon. Expensive drinks or board. They offer a parking discount worth taking advantage of. Overall certainly family friendly. Certainly for tourists. Certainly worth doing....once.
Les S — Google review
The Jungle Queen is probably one of the most iconic boats in Fort Lauderdale and has been cruising up and down the intercoastal waterways since 1935. That is a really long time. Located in the Bahia Mar Yachting Center - Just south of Las Olas Boulevard this Fort Lauderdale destination should be experienced at least once in your life. As a South Florida Native, I have been on the Jungle Queen a handful of times. I have childhood memories on this boat and my children now have childhood memories. There are two Cruising Options: 90 Minute Daytime Sightseeing Cruise – Nighttime River & Island Cruise. I would make recommend arriving early, at least 45 mins. By the time you find parking, get your tickets - this is a first-come , first-served type of seating and you want to be on the top-deck for the best views and breezes. There is no air conditioning and downstairs can be warm. Seating is tight too, so get their early, I change my mind, get there an hour early. The dinner cruise in my humble opinion is “Very Touristy” which is fine. Boarding begins about an hour before they set sail and this is a 4 hour tour. You cruise down the intercoastal which is my favorite part. When you arrive at their private island, there is an all you can eat Ribs and Chicken Buffet style. Post Dinner everyone goes to the private amphitheater for the Polynesian Show complete with Hulu Dancers, impressive Fire Dancers and more. The sightseeing cruise – I personally prefer because it is only 90 minutes. The captain takes you up and down the waterways into the finger canals passing by Mega Mansions and Mega Yachts, all the while sharing who lives where. It is a lot of fun. The narrators are the best, for example. I hope everyone knows how important education is… I am sure your parents make sure get good grades and do your homeowner, because you do not want to end up being a “garbage man”... well look over to your left at South Florida's own Garbage man, Mr. Wayne Heusinger. How many of you heard… you don’t want to end up married to some “Used Car Salesman” , well look over to your right to non other a very own Used Car Salesman, Mr. Mike Maroone. All in All , the Jungle Queen is a fun experience for families, newcomers and vacationers.
Kathy R — Google review
Fun experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and amusing. It's best to arrive early if you want a good seat with a view. The drink prices were about what you would expect. The bbq dinner was average, the weight staff was friendly, and service was quick. Cons: There was no air flow on the boat, so sitting on it for 30+ mins in the heat waiting for departure, surrounded by 100 people got hot and smelly. It would have been nice if they had fans to circulate the air. Cup holders on the seats would have been beneficial. Also, the bathroom stalls were very snug. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend the tour

Must do if in Ft Lauderdale!! The tour of houses is nice boat ride on a fan cooled boat. Beautiful houses and funny jokes. Take the evening island tour if you can; just be prepared to participate in the hula dance. Lots of fun. The dinner on the island and the singer will cause you to be in good spirits all evening. The ride back is also calming and beautiful. Oh my! I wonder what Christmas time will be like!!!

Went on 16th of November 2025 Beautiful weather so it should of been a perfect night to go out. My first issue was the parking completly unorganized, were able to go to the hotel or the lot and we went to the hotel valet parking they said was $20 and that's fine first thing they don't tell you is it's cash only and the nearest ATM is in that hotel so I had to pay over $7 in fees to pay them. Walked over and went on the boat and it was a booked night , the tour was ok half the people they said would come out never came out to even wave hi it's like we were a bother to half of them , than getting off the boat at the island was a disaster, couldn't find anywhere to sit than when we did find somewhere to sit waited 10 min before anyone came around . When someone finally came around the ribs were over cooked and the chicken tenders tasted nasty a thin piece of meat and a bunch of breading mind you its a big departure from the BBQ chicken they had , the sides were nasty not enough sweet in the baked beans , slaw tasted like legit trash , Mac and cheese tasted cheap . Order 2 sodas and was $7 , than we went to the show .... And there it was so water down from how it used to be , used to have comedy skit, magic show etc just a hula and fire show with one person now , than we shuttle back on the boat for them to tell you , you need to pay $20 for parking on the boat when I went to pay they said I did valet so they don't know about that but I can't pay with them.. so I got confused and didn't want to stick with the $60+ parking fee so I was worried when I went back was happy to get my car and leave without any extra charges but man it was a lot! Hopefully they can change some things but the tradition of me and my family coming every couple of years are going to stop for awhile and hopefully the experience doesn't get worse.

My husband and I celebrated our 29th Anniversary the food wasn't good. The entertainment was ok not enough variety in the show. Where was the comic act and Tina Turner personality? And where was the person who takes the pictures for the Jungle Queen ? However, the bigger picture is God blessed us to celebrate 29 years together. The boat ride and weather was great but disappointed with Jungle Queen I will not visit for a long time. I guess nothing remains good forever but great memories 5 years ago on my 50th Birthday celebration. God bless 🦋

If you're a fan of classic cars and rich history, the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum is an absolute must-visit. This remarkable establishment serves as a non-profit foundation dedicated to educating visitors about the illustrious Packard Motor Company and American engineering advancements. Inside its expansive 30,000 square-foot space, you'll find an impressive collection of over 22 meticulously maintained Packard automobiles from the early 1900s to the 1940s, each showcasing unique features like specialized golf club compartments.
This place is a hidden gem. Myself and my adult sons (18 & 22) are car fanatics visiting from Scottsdale Arizona. We love all cars (Huge Chevy fans) this is filled with lots of mint conditioned Packards. And soooooo much more. All types of other car parts, sings, gas machines, original car manuals. You have to check this place out. Just awesome!!!!

To my mind, this place is very underrated. It is hard for a small museum to compete with sunny beaches of Fort Lauderdale but if you are anyway is interested in museums this is definitely a place to go. The admission fee is 10 dollars only. This place is quite empty, so with some luck you can get a private tour for free (since the guide has nothing to do otherwise) and learn about Packard car make history. They collected all the models there, so there is enough stuff to see.

Visiting Fort Lauderdale and stopping at the Antique car museum was a great idea. At a low cost of 10$ you will be taken back in the 19 century. This museum has very friendly staff that will take time you explain the story of each unique cars. The walls are filled with all kind of old car accessories from car emblems to window sliding knobs. It's interesting to read each car story and believe that our grand parents where driving those.

Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, situated in Dania Beach, Florida, is a historic coastal retreat with deep roots in the civil rights history of South Florida. It offers a family-friendly environment with activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, and diving. The park is home to various wildlife including wild birds and sea turtles.
Excellent park and staff. Grills, picnic tables and beach wheel chairs. Staff works hard to preserve nature yet giving the public an opportunity to enjoy the beach. The spring breakers mostly stay away. The Whiskey Creek Hideout has good food at reasonable prices. Park Manager and assistant manager are very friendly and work hard for the public. This was an awesome beach. We found a station with baskets and buckets for cleaning up trash while walking the beach, which was an amazing concept and had to accept. Lots of dried seaweed and various shells. We found a good amount of trash so we picked it up with our handy baskets. Overall this is a beautiful place to walk around.

Great place for bird photography and birdwatching. If you come early in the morning, you'll be able to see all kinds of birds flying around; from seagulls, herons, pelicans, to passerine birds such as kingbirds, blue jays, and cardinals. Sadly though, quite a few trails are closed at the moment but you'll still be able to enjoy the beach as well as the creek that runs along the park.

Such a beautiful park/beach. We rented the Pelican pavilion for my dad's celebration of life and all their rangers were so helpful and kind. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because of the conditions of their restrooms. They are pretty disgusting and definitely need some updating. I went to different ones throughout the park and they were all pretty gross. The one by the kayak rental had all but one stall taped off. Please update your restrooms!

BlueFoot Pirate Adventures in Fort Lauderdale offers an interactive cruise where passengers can immerse themselves in the world of buccaneers. Families can join this 90-minute trip, starting with a message in a bottle and embarking on a quest to find hidden treasure. The adventure includes facing off against Barnacle Bill in a water battle aboard an enemy ship. At the end of the journey, junior pirates receive a bag of booty for their brave service. This experience takes place along Ft.
We had such a great time with Bluefoot Pirate Adventures! The kids absolutely loved the experience—it was super interactive from start to finish. The pirate crew did an amazing job keeping everyone engaged and in character, and the whole adventure felt like a mini escape into a real-life pirate story. The highlight for the kids was definitely getting a little wet during the water cannon battles—that made it even more fun! Laughter, excitement, and non-stop smiles the entire time. Highly recommend for families looking for a unique and entertaining outing. A great way to spend time on the water with little ones who love adventure and imagination!

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a mermaid & pirate-themed party aboard Bluefoot Pirate Adventures, and it was truly the best day ever! The kids were engaged and smiling the entire time thanks to the fantastic crew, who kept the energy high and made every child feel like part of the adventure. The experience was incredibly interactive, fun, and well-run from start to finish. One small suggestion — since the girls were just as excited as the boys, it would be wonderful to see a mermaid character as part of the crew in the future! For anyone planning a birthday party, just a heads up: there aren’t many nearby options for cake or lunch afterward. There’s a small playground with a few picnic tables and some restaurants close by (though one doesn’t take reservations). We heard they’re working on a partnership with Quarterdeck — that would be a game-changer for private party planning and would really round out the whole experience. Highly recommend for a magical and memorable birthday!

We had an absolute blast on the BlueFoot pirate adventure boat tour! From the moment we stepped aboard, Captain Black Sparrow and his crew was full of energy, keeping both kids and adults entertained. The interactive games, treasure hunt, water cannon battle, and pirate storytelling made it a truly unforgettable experience. The kids were thrilled to be “recruited” as pirates, and the costumes and pirate lingo added the perfect touch. It was well-organized, safe. Highly recommend!!!

Captain Black Sparrow and his crew were so enjoyable on our pirate trip! He had us adults laughing and the kids too with his jokes. We could tell they enjoy their jobs and kids a lot (especially the Captain. Great singing voice too!). There were a lot of different activities for the kids to do. The last activity with the water canons got the kids pretty soaked, but there were areas to stand to stay dry. We paid around $60 for 4 people (then $10 for taxes right before our trip) with a Groupon as I couldn’t do the $150 - that price I think is a bit steep for an hour. But overall for my 4.5 year old and 8.5 year old loved it! Us parents too!

The water taxis were great. I’m sure if you buy the tickets for multiple days you could get some better pricing. I know that various restaurants offer like a 10 percent discount so ask if eat at one of the coastal waterways restaurants. The personnel doing the tours were very knowledgeable about the houses. I would have liked to have taken more than one segment of the taxi. The taxis run until midnight so you can use the daily pass up until then. The parking around some of the areas is pricey and you should make sure you get enough time to ensure your car isn’t towed. There is a parking garage near the number 6 taxi location. From 6 access to the 10 access point and return takes about 1 hour. There is some stops that require a call to the company to get them to stop at those locations. For those that get motion sickness sitting in the middle of the boat minimizes the motion of the boat. There is a bathroom on board it looked clean and there was no odor so I’m assuming it was clean. They do have beer, water, pop and Margaritas in a can lol for sale. The crew does accept tips and deservingly so they are entertaining. The boat holds 45 people and it’s group seating meaning that your all grouped together lol. No social distancing here. Watch for the lizards under the bridges there are a lot of them and some of them are very large. The taxis could be an all day activity if you wanted. The locals probably use it differently. We really enjoyed it other than the sick daughter that was having some heat and motion issues.

Really good way to see Fort Lauderdale - hop on and off as you wish. Great views of the luxury waterfront homes - really good guides - knowledgeable but humorous with it. We did a full trip in the morning then again at dusk. Also, the voucher leaflet has some really good discounts.

Worst business in Fort Lauderdale. The captain's ignore all rules, driving too fast in the no wake and idle speed zones. Driving over turtles and manatees, driving full speed through anchoring areas where people are swimming in the water. Creating big waves and tell the passenger wrong storys about the area.
Micha M — Google review
This is one of our favorite things to do with out of town visitors who come. It gives you a great view into the extensive inner costal side of Fort Lauderdale. You can't appreciate the scope of the fun of this city without seeing this side because most of the celebrity and novelty homes don't look like nearly as much from the streets as they do from the ocean. I always also fund the commentaries the taxi pilots share are interesting.

Shar was an absolute blast as tour guide! He knows a great deal about the waterways, and has great stories about the area, (including a new one from me). and he will take time to speak with his sight-seeing passengers. He is the reason for the 5 star rating. Brad was good as well with many insights. They have $5 Margaritas and Rum and Coke. Good Times!!!

We experienced the water taxi on one of the busiest days- the Blue Angels air show - so they were very busy! We left from the Hollywood location at 11am and with wait time and stops we never had time to get off for lunch- as we wanted to catch the last boat back at 6:30- good thing they had drinks on board- but no food! Some chips/snacks for sale would have been nice! Fun way to see some amazing homes, boats, and if you have time Fort Lauderdale beaches and restaurants!
Diane K — Google review
There is a lot of waiting and not much to do at each stop. You can spend way more time waiting and trying to time your stops then it's really worth. Same mundane monolog from each boat. If you want to see the sites along the route then it's great. Get on, stay on and see the sites. You can't really bar hop from stop to stop there's nothing st each stop without walking blocks to something. Ita a long day and you'll be staying in lines. Later in the day when they don't have someone at the stop to organize all the people it can get sketchy, people have been drinking and some drunk people aren't happy.

The beachfront promenade is lined with shops, restaurants, and entertainment options for visitors to enjoy. Fort Lauderdale Beach provides more than 50 activities to indulge in and nearly 70 dining options. From watersports to spas, shops to nightlife venues, there's something for everyone.
Had a nice time at Fort Lauderdale Beach! The water was a bit cold, but I still enjoyed it, visited in October. There was no seaweed on the beach during this time. One thing to note though, there was this clear, gel-like substance in the water that looked like jellyfish, and it seemed to be everywhere. The beach itself was great, and I loved that they had tables available right on the sand.

I absolutely LOVE Fort Lauderdale Beach, so much to do, so much to see. I like to go every morning. Watch the sun rise, Take a nice cold plunge in the salty sea water. It's an amazing place to bring your children and animals. : Dog Beach : Starts at Sunrise Park Boulevard. The state park is utterly stunning. Offers, food, kayak rentals, and beautiful nature trails. It's honestly the perfect family vacation destination. I'm so lucky to call this home.

Clear waters and beautiful easy to get to shoreline! It was the first beach I’ve ever seen, but now not the last, so I’m a great judge of beaches! Loved it! Great vacation spot or stop with friends or families!

We visited in early September. This beach was beautiful and very well kept. Very clean all through the area. There are chair and umbrella rental provided by vendors and also areas where you can bring your own chair or umbrella. They also have free showers and foot washes. We loved our time at this beach.

Love this beach ... is not super crowded and it's clean. Plenty of parking if you get there early depending on the day.

Nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway, Coconuts is a top choice for dining in Fort Lauderdale. This restaurant offers an upscale yet casual experience with stunning views of the waterways, making it perfect for watching boats and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Known for its delectable seafood dishes like coconut shrimp and jambalaya, Coconuts also features daily specials such as scallops.
Hotel concierge suggested Coconuts for casual waterfront dining and they were spot on! Unique to this place is their connection to the G&B Oyster Bar next door. Started with a half dozen oysters paired with a Riesling! Enjoyed a blackened swordfish steak topped with crabmeat while the wife had her fave linguini with clams. Topped it off with key lime pie and cappuccinos! Excellent end to our quick stay in Fort Lauderdale! Will be back to try other items on the menu!

We came to Coconuts for the first time tonight and were completely satisfied and surprised by how delicious the food was. Our waitress recommended the Seafood Sofrito and Omar's Paella and both were absolutely amazing. The flavors were unbelievable. The staff were attentive and so kind. We aren't locals, but we will make a point to stop here when we are in the area and tell our friends. Go to Coconuts, you won't regret it!

I would definitely recommend trying out Coconuts. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and made great recommendations. I'm not much of drinker but they were able to make on of the popular drinks, the blackberry mojito into a mocktail for me and it was delicious. My sister also got a virgin Pina colada and she enjoyed as well. The scoobies came highly recommended and I have to agree its a must try on the menu. The portion sizes were really good too. My sister got baby back ribs which was more than enough for her and I had the comfort bowl. Overall great experience, I will definitely return.

We came during the boat show and expected things to be chaotic. Fortunately only our neighbor table was the chaos and provided great entertainment! The staff was so attentive and helpful. They accommodated our allergy needs and even confirmed when they dropped the food off at the table! The lobster boil was incredible. I was super happy to find out they had gluten free chocolate peanut butter cake and had to try it! Also delicious. Our server going above and beyond really made the experience!

We had a very nice early dinner right across the street from our hotel. My wife had Scoobies for the first time and thought they were worth the work. The Heirloom Tomato Salad was very good. 20251025 Two early dinners in a row. We are on the cruise ship tomorrow. The Jerk Chicken Wings were very good. The Loster Grilled Cheese was very rich and the lobster was tough. The Peanut Butter Pie was very good. The service was great especially how busy the place is.

We tried the scoobies, it was delicious! Also had Mahi mahi and fish tacos! Coconut is a good place to dine, very relaxing and beautiful view. We even had a pie for dessert! Our server, Carlos did a very good job!

We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was quite crowded and we had a 40 minute wait. My husband got a drink at the bar nextdoor while we waited. After waiting we were seated with a good view of the harbor. Our waitress, Kimberly, was very attentive and very friendly. Needless to say, the food was very good and the portions were large. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

We were in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 days and ate in this place evrry single day. The food was great and service even better. We sat at the bar first two times and outdoors last day. We will come here again. I cannot say enough gret things about this place. Its a mix of locols and tourists. Say hi to Peter at the bar. Get the Scoobies, the blackened wings and the coconut shrimp.

Louie Bossi's Ristorante Bar Pizzeria is a bustling Italian restaurant located on Fort Lauderdale's Las Olas Boulevard. The interior boasts charming features like tin ceilings, rustic wood beams, and tufted leather booths, while the outdoor courtyard offers a garden-like setting with brick pathways, fire pits, and even a bocce court.
Louie Bossi has been a family favorite of ours for over 8 years. Whenever we're anywhere in South Florida, we make plans to have lunch at this restaurant. Most times its just take-out if its a day trip, but this go around, although the trip was short, we were able to reserve a table and experience a little bit of Italy while in South Florida. Dining in at this restaurant is an experience for sure; especially if you dine outside. I would recommend reserving a table ahead of time just to make sure you are able to get a table because depends on the time of day, this restaurant can get quite busy. The ambience is so rewarding, the customer service is always excellent and the food...oh the pasta and pizzas tantalizes the tastebuds. We love various pastas and the pepperoni pizza is our favorite. We always take a few boxes of pepperoni pizza for supper when we get back home, and for the next day. The wood-fired pizza is always delicious with the contrast of charring and the slight spice of the old world pepperoni. I would recommend going in comfortable clothes because you may need the extra room, since the food is so filling.

I wanted a fun, easy dinner in a lively spot; instead, this visit was work. After being seated, it took at least 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Several staff, including a manager, walked by during that stretch. That set the tone. All night I felt I had to ask for everything at once because I had no idea when our server would return. I also received a dirty knife, which didn't help first impressions. Food was uneven. The seafood pasta arrived hot but salty. The chicken parmesan was barely lukewarm, as was the side of spaghetti, and part of the chicken was actually on the cold side. The pizza was a saga: the one we ordered was “unavailable,” the backup our server suggested was also “unavailable,” and we finally landed on a cheese pizza. Credit where it’s due—the cheese pizza was good. Prices made the misses sting: $33 for the limp chicken parm, $37 for the salty seafood pasta, and $22 for the fallback pizza. There was some kind of show going on, and I understand that can pull attention in different directions. Still, we paid full price for what felt like a half-strength experience. Bottom line: frustrating service, inconsistent execution, and premium pricing that was not backed up by the meal we received. Unlikely to return.

Came here on a Monday night - it was surprisingly busy yet the service quality never faltered. The food was incredible, and surprisingly not a long wait considering how many people were there - it was packed! Put your name on the waitlist if you can't get a walk in, it's worth it. Otherwise, reserve ahead of time for parties of 4+. We had vodka sauce pizza with crispy prosciutto, and carbonara spaghetti. Both made for a perfect pizza+pasta night in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas. Both so tasty and unique in their own ways. I can easily understand why it is one of the Crown Jewels of Southern Florida

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Louie Bossi’s Ristorante Bar Pizzeria and it was a spectacular experience. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, perfect for enjoying a great meal with your partner or friends. The service was excellent, and every dish was full of flavor, especially the pasta and pizza, which were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also very well crafted. Definitely a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a charming ambiance. Highly recommended! 🍕🍷✨

Lou Bossi’s is a long time favorite. It’s great food, great experience and great service. We bring large groups there and it’s always fun. The only thing I would love to see is to have more fans or something to keep the outside courtyard cooler and the bugs off us. It gets too humid out there and a little uncomfortable. The Cacio e Pepe is one of my favorite. The homemade pasta is the best. I had their yellowtail dish and it was prepared perfectly.

Came here on a Thursday night without a resy, waited about 30 mins with our name on the list. This restaurant is great if you want a beautiful good vibe in Fort Lauderdale. Sit in the back patio, it’s gorgeous. The food isn’t cheap, but the portion sizes were generous.

A wonderful place for a night out. Extensive menu, great choices all over. The pastas and breads were easy, but I am inspired to come back and try the meats. Wonderful service, and OMG the tiramisu 💖 not a cheap night out but a really nice one!

A very popular and delicious Italian restaurant. The food here is made with a certain amount of care that makes you feel like the chefs actually enjoy their job. The one thing is that if you do come, be prepared with reservations or else you may be stuck waiting for an hour minimum. Even with reservations service is fully booked and busy so do expect to be waiting for awhile and settled in. However the wait is very much worth it and this place is certainly a good choice if you’re a fan of Italian, and if you aren’t, still give it a try!

Nestled conveniently near the beach on Sunrise Boulevard, The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale is a sophisticated two-story shopping destination that perfectly embodies the city's upscale vibe. This vibrant mall features over 100 retail stores and dining options, making it one of South Florida's premier shopping spots and the largest in Broward County. Shoppers can explore renowned anchor stores like Neiman Marcus, Dillard's, and Macy's alongside trendy boutiques such as Coach and Banana Republic.
The real/near real "time" physical object manifestations applying the proccess described in my books, specifically The Law of Attraction/Creation, leave me speechless time and time again. Too many to list over the last few days. I AM at the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale. Observe my photo which captured my light body in addition to my physical form. We are on the 5D Earth now. Lovely upscale shopping mall. Recommended.

I hate malls and this one is among the worst. It’s awkwardly big, but also lifeless. The shops and food are hit or miss and restrooms are hard to find

I don’t remember the name of the lady that’s in the perfume area. She has white hair, short above the shoulder and glasses. She’s great, twice I had her when purchasing my perfumes and she goes above and beyond recommending and testing fragrances until I find what I want. Other times I have been there mostly everyone there is really helpful and has great customer service. Mostly I just go for perfumes, even though they don’t have the one I want in the store I’m always purchasing other options

They told us this isn't the "nice" mall but it was very nice to us. Good restaurants, we'll stocked stores and clean wide halls. Valet parking. Easy Uber pick up drop off. Only 4 eateries in the food court though.

I have enjoyed this mall for years. However like a lot of malls its in decline. It was very busy the Saturday that I went but that's because I believe it was the 2 day art show taking place. if you go upstairs to the second area where H&M now resides that wing is almost completely void of retail. such a shame but overall it's still a nice mall to stroll through

I rarely go to Fort Lauderdale but when I do, a trip to Galleria is always a must! We attended a birthday inside of Galleria at the let’s party place, which was an excellent location for a child’s party. Then enjoyed some shopping afterwards! The only mall to have an Alterd State and my favorite massage chair store (Body Therapy Wellness).
Mia P — Google review
Once a thriving upscale mall has fallen on bad times. Lots of empty stores. Great location in an upscale area. It has been around since the 1950s hen it was an outdoor mall.
Richard S — Google review
The mall had a different vibe inside. It's almost like it hasn't fully recovered after covid. There is one section of the mall by the party place/gym that is wide open and empty. It is weird how it's just empty and no stores or kiosk. The Dillard's smells awful. Very stale and mildew like. Couldn't stay in there long, unbearable. Food court was a little scarce of restaurants. But if you are just looking to do a little shopping...they have the basics. It was clean and bright.

History Fort Lauderdale, Broward County's oldest standing hotel, has been transformed into a history museum that houses prints, books, and artworks. The institution is dedicated to collecting and preserving materials from the community's past to help present and future generations understand their predecessors and themselves. It offers public lectures, workshops, teacher resources, group tours, research assistance, and maintains historic structures dating back to 1905.

Looked really interesting as I was walking by so I pooped in for a visit. Staff were friendly and the exhibit was really fascinating full of information about the history of the area and it's people. The artwork on display from local people was great as well. Downstairs is fully accessible but I never saw a lift to get to the second floor. There are restrooms on the 1st and second floor although when I visited the ground floor restrooms were out of order.

This beautiful and authentic museum, which was once the first hotel in Fort Lauderdale, has transformed into a history museum. They have an impressive collection of exhibits that showcase the city’s rich history throughout the year. On the third floor, you’ll find artist studios where you can see the work of local artists. Currently, they have a fantastic exhibit called Viva Fort Lauderdale, which celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and will be on display until October 19. It’s definitely worth visiting!

Preserved old buildings from the wilder days of Florida. The main building of the complex is a former hotel 6 historic museum. This is not the most exciting museum but the grounds and river walk can help make it worth the trip.

I happened upon the New River Inn Museum of Fort Lauderdale totally by accident on Monday, January 3 2022. I went in to see after I saw the building and the historical sign outside. It is a small quaint museum with self-guided or guided tours. It has some interesting information about history of the arrival of Europeans to the area. It shows history of the Seminoles and other native American tribes of the area prior to the arrival of Europeans. It also gives some history of some of the African-American history of the area including how education was minimized for them for many years because of the need for cheap labor for the farms of the area. It also talks about Fort Lauderdale's contribution to the U.S. war effort during WWII as well as some of the contributions of some individual families efforts to building/changing the Fort Lauderdale area to what it has become today. More interesting is actually the artists-in-residence on the upper floor of the museum. These artists are allowed work space and allowed to sell their works. It was quite interesting and there was some amazing work. Two of the artists were there at the time and were happy to talk about their work and the work of some of the other artists. It was definitely worth seeing because it was honest about how today's Fort Lauderdale came to be.
Wendell J — Google review
I really enjoy how History Fort Lauderdale brings together both history and art for a super cool experience. You get fascinating historical exhibits upstairs and several working artist studios on the top floor. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re definitely missing out, it’s worth the visit!
Janice S — Google review
The exhibits do a great job of walking you through Fort Lauderdale’s history from the late 1800s to today. Everything is thoughtfully put together and really paints a picture of how the area grew over time. What makes it even cooler is how the displays are set within the charming old village setting. It adds a special touch that feels both authentic and welcoming. Definitely worth checking out if you're into local history with a touch of Florida charm.

The Katherine Restaurant, located in Fort Lauderdale, is a popular spot known for its diverse and globally-inspired menu. The restaurant recently introduced a Sunday brunch featuring unique dishes like Thai red curry shrimp and grits, truffle beet toast, and carbonara mac. Accompany your meal with refreshing cocktails such as mimosas or jalapeno bloody Mary, or choose from a selection of local beers and natural wines.
The Katherine. Creative Cuisine that will Tantalize 💥 Your Tastebuds 👅. What a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a great dining experience! The Katherine, located at 723 E. Broward blvd in Ft. Lauderdale is an amazing place that will expand your mind 🧠 with freshly designed recipes that will make your mouth 👄smile ☺️. The decor offers a casual, retro rustic vibe with hints of greenery 🌱 that is the backdrop for the neon purple lit sign that bares the name “The Katherine” at the entrance. It has both indoor & outdoor seating 🪑 , great music 🎼, and a staff which is attentive & polite. The food 🍲 is fantastic! Every dish & recipe is creatively crafted to bring a lively blend of flavors that are extraordinary. Our starters: The crispy tuna 🍣 rice 🍚. Lightly chopped fresh tuna lay neatly on a cube of crispy rice and topped with spicy 🌶️ mayo, sweet soy, and a touch of fresh chive 🌿. The smooth texture of the tuna with the crunch of the crispy rice was a delight. The next was the clam 🦪 chowder 🍲 French fries 🍟. What a combo! It’s a must. Fresh steamed clams in the shell 🐚 with a creamy thick chowder was topped with Crispy fries 🍟. A masterpiece! The Thai style charred cabbage 🥬 salad 🥗 with crispy fried pork 🐖 was so interesting. Tossed in a tangy sweet & sour dressing with fresh herbs 🪴, this salad 🥗 offered a refreshing brightness to our meal. Our Main Entrees. The short ribs orecchiette pasta was soothing comfort food. 🥘. The creamed sauce gave a velvety coating 🧥 to the dish while the balsamic glaze added a sharp contrast. It was a mouth watering experience. The all day burger 🍔 was special as well. A double patty burger 🍔 seasoned well with melted cheese 🧀 and a sweet pickle 🥒 remoulade was delicious again offering a blend of flavors. My favorite dish was the Thai red curry 🍛 Branzino 🐟. It was the best branzino 🐟 I have ever had. Typically, Branzino 🐟 is a mild fish that is simply grilled. Well not this fish! 🐠. Sautéed in a red curry sauce with a side of coconut 🥥 rice 🍚 and garnished with a shredded papaya slaw, this dish danced 🕺 on my tongue 👅. A symphony 🎶 of flavors that I couldn’t get enough of. Our Vegetables 🥗. We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts 🌱 which were charred in an orange 🍊 soy glaze which was as expected. The marinated jerk beets was served with a curry aioli, arugula 🥬, radish, and walnuts 🌰. It was a welcomed earthy addition to our meal. Dessert: Yes, we had to share one. lol 😂. The caramel coated French toast 🍞 cake was topped with vanilla bean 🫘 ice cream & seasonal fruit 🍑 compote. The Carmel was sticky at the bottom so you could scrape it off the plate 🍽️ like candy 🍬. If you couldn’t tell yet, we loved it and highly recommend going soon. You will definitely 👍 enjoy The Katherine if you appreciate fine food. Lastly, they did get their liquor 🥃 license now. I had the snazzy jazzy which is their take on an old fashioned. It was smooth. Put this on your list as a “Must Go!” Item. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

We had such an amazing time for dinner. The servers were great and knowledgeable. The menu was unique, you won’t find the same dishes here than any other place. We had the French fries clam chowder, cabbage, oxtails, seafood/fish pasta, Thai red curry fish. Dessert: raspberry chocolate cheesecake and French toast with apple composte. We did order them as shareable plates. Everything was delicious. One of the best places I’ve ever eaten. My rum punch came in a unique peacock cup. I guess it gave it character. It was cold in there so bring a jacket!

One word to describe this establishment: Innovative. From the darkened lighting, to the soundproof windows, and the forest green napkins and brass touched fixtures my sister and I came to The Kathrine last night, and did not disappoint. Private free parking, outdoor seating underneath a protective awning. No host stand ( I love their choices of efficiency) and the most knowledgeable friendly staff you would want to spend the evening with. The menu was short and sweet, but chuck full of flavors no one has thought to bring together. Warm cabbage salad with chunks of pork, or the Hokkaido Crudo scallops with the most delicious sauce that makes you want to compliment the kitchen. Then came the Branzino and we also ordered the Clam chowder soup fries (my sister's favorite dish). Spicy margarita and the Chai Espresso martini were on point. Desert was the French Toast served with vanilla ice cream. The highest compliments to The Kathrine for the choice of soundtrack and service. The food was so good, we took dishes to our parents, in which my mother cried out "10s across the board". We ordered steak au poivre with fries, and she swallowed it. We got our father the Branzino, which he will have this evening. Run, don't walk to the Kathrine. My sister and I rate this place, two fancy plates. Congrats Chef Timon, for a place well done. Update: 11/18/25 Set a reservation for three and a revised plan for set review. Consistency is key and beware of times before closing as they staff seemed overwhelmed and tired at 9:00 pm.

I can’t stop talking about this place to everyone. a true south Florida gem!!! So happy to have finally tried The Katherine and you should too, here’s why: 1) delicious food, from start to finish. Did not have one bad or mediocre thing. 2) creative takes on different flavor profiles - clam chowder fries was insane!!! The charred cabbage shocked us - who eats cabbage voluntarily? I do, here only. 3) the staff was so hospitable and friendly. Very refreshing esp in south Florida. 4) the decor and vibes are extremely cozy. We sat in the corner booth like table and didn’t want to leave. 5) 3 words: short rib orichette See you soon, Katherine

The Katherine (Broward Blvd FTL) is the culmination of 3 times James Beard nominated Chef Tim Balloo & his wife Marissa Katherine. Intimate spot with a global menu emphasizing fresh ingredients & sauces. On this early Sunday dinner, Shun's hospitality was shining & her recommendations were spot on! We indulged in: *Hamachi crudo unlike we've had before, w/charred onion, black garlic dashi *Chili garlic tomato salad, was zesty *Thai Red Curry Branzino, signature item was delectable *Hanger Steak frites, ohhh that sauce au poivre & hand cut fries was chefs kiss. All dishes were beautifully presented, executed, savory & hit all the taste buds. This is a warm & welcoming environment for a creative culinary journey.

Amazing food!!! Every dish was an explosion of flavor. Very different than other restaurants. They blend multiple cuisines and flavors…. And it works beautifully! Top dishes we had were the whipped ricotta, zatar rubbed swordfish, and short rib orecchiette. The space is small and very romantic. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something different and very flavorful!

The historic Fort Lauderdale Fire Station has been converted into a museum dedicated to the history of fire safety. The exhibits include antique fire engines and equipment, uniforms from the 1920s, and a special children's area where young visitors can get their hands on some of the equipment.
A small and unique museum that runs off donations tucked away in the heart of Fortlauderdale. I first discovered this museum a while back when my child was invited to a birthday party. ( yes you can book a party here). One of Fort Lauderdale's original fire houses turned into a museum. You really get a fell for what it would have been like to be a fire fighter in the 1920's. As most of the building is original. But their are plenty of other things to enjoy such as the history of the progression in fighting fighters. As well as old gear and antiques in fire safety. The kids will have a fun time as their are a few activities and games for them as well. The best part is you will leave with a vast knowledge of fire safety and what it's like to put your life on the line for others. Well worth the trip.

My uncle just retired fire captain for boca ration ,. I found it interesting. As a history fan of Florida . ( I grew up here ,I’m 50 years old and it’s interesting to see . I think they should have more historical districts. And photos the fire trucks where very interesting.

Disappointed. Second attempted visit, no staff, everything locked up. To be fair, it is a wonderful memorial to Fort Lauderdale's former firefighters. But as a museum ... forget it.

CLOSED DOWN!!! We arrived in the pouring rain and stood outside for 30 minutes waiting for them to open, as indicated by their opening hours at 9am on Saturday. No one there and phone number disconnected. Don't waste your time trying to go there as the website says they are still open, but they are not.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village, Circle House Coffee is a vibrant community coffee shop that has been serving top-notch coffee since its establishment in 2018 by Stephen Tulloch, a former NFL player. The cafe offers a variety of experiences including quick grab-and-go service at the drive-thru, as well as indoor and outdoor patio seating.
Oh man, this coffee shop is a hidden gem! The food is delicious, the customer service is top-notch, and it’s super clean—like, seriously spotless. It’s got that perfect cozy vibe, and if you’re looking for a little privacy to relax or get some work done, this is the spot. You know, um, I just love the atmosphere here. It’s peaceful but still has that nice buzz of a great café. I highly recommend checking it out. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for some work, you won’t be disappointed!

If you’re looking for a cafe with good, quick food, you have to come here!! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and it never disappoints. Most of the time, I go through the drive-through and everything comes out quick and my order is always right. Here and there I’ll also sit inside to do work and it’s always a good vibe and good atmosphere. There’s outlets at the table and good WiFi. Special thank you to Axel and Michelle—they always make it a phenomenal experience!!🫶🫶

Circle House Coffee offers a warm, modern ambiance with friendly service that makes you feel right at home. Their coffee menu features everything from rich espressos to creative seasonal drinks, always brewed to perfection. The fresh pastries and light snacks are a nice bonus. The spacious outdoor seating is ideal for enjoying the Florida sun, making it a perfect spot for both work and relaxation. Whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or staying to unwind, Circle House Coffee is a must-visit for coffee lovers!

Love this place, their Turkey pesto sandwich is amazing and same with most of their other stuff Their wraps though, my god are they tiny! The few times I’ve ordered their wraps they are this size. They’re comically small. I would avoid the wraps and order anything else
Sergio M — Google review
Beware of the parking scam. SmartPark by Professional Parking Management is sending automated parking tickets based on entrance into a parking lot that Circle House is directing customers to park at. The tickets are given based on time entering and exiting the lot, not the time when the car is actually parked. They offer "complimentary 15 minute parking" but do not state how they count the 15 minutes. This is fraud. PPM has over 1500 complaints for these tactics, which has been described as "an intimidation and extortion racket". Plaintiffs of any class action against PPM are welcome to use this post as evidence for deceptive practices involving fake or predatory parking tickets, unauthorized charges, or misleading enforcement tactics.

The first few times I went here it was great but the service and quality has gone down tremendously. Specifically the young girl who works at the window with blue/colorful hair has the worst customer service attitude I’ve ever encountered. Not only does she get my simple order wrong every time I’ve dealt with her but then gives attitude when I ask her to fix it (which I don’t think is an outrageous ask when I already paid for it). I ordered a large lavender cold foam matcha and she gave me a medium, told me she’ll fix it and dumped the medium matcha into a large cup and added milk to fill it the rest of the way. The “fixed” drink I got is basically a large cup of iced milk…it’s not even near the color that matcha is supposed to be (it’s white).

I was in the mood for coffee, as always, and came to this place which I am glad I did. It has a wonderful design on the outside of the building so you can't miss it and there is some parking in the back. The staff are really friendly and helpful. This is a great place to hang out and drink coffee and catch up with friends. I tried their Southwest burrito and it was delicious with a tiny bit of spice. The coffee was also delicious and hot unlike other places where sometimes the coffee may be warm. I would highly suggest for people to come and try them out. They have an assortment of pastries and sandwiches and breakfast items.

MASS District, situated in Fort Lauderdale's Progresso Village neighborhood, is a vibrant hub for creativity and art. The area boasts colorful street art murals, along with an array of restaurants, art studios, and small businesses. Visitors can enjoy the monthly Fort Lauderdale ArtWalk and the Sunny Side Up Market featuring over 90 vendors and artists. Additionally, Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery in Progresso Village showcases captivating murals by renowned artists.
I love how the Fort Lauderdale New Art District is coming to life! The mix of great restaurants and incredible art makes it such a vibe. Every time I visit, I see more creativity, more energy—it’s like the city is finally embracing its artistic side. I really hope they keep adding more activities and events because this place has the potential to be as big as Miami’s Art District. It’s growing fast, and that’s amazing for the city. If they keep investing in it, Fort Lauderdale could become a major cultural hotspot. I’m here for it!

Once a month there is an art and food walk here and it is phenomenal!! So much to see, taste, hear, and experience I am definitely making it every month from now on. Aside from that this area is great to hang out and see art even just on the buildings! Lots of food and drink spots in the area.

I went to the Harry Potter drive-in showing with family and the set up was way better it was way better than expected! They had food trucks, decorations to fit the theme, a snack box, and Butterbeer!! The prices were affordable. We arrived when the gate just opened, and the check-in was quick. The view of the huge blowup screen was perfect even without VIP parking (first 2 rows). There was even a Bellatrix Lestrange performance. As a lifelong Harry Potter fan, this was definitely a great experience! 10/10 would go again!!!

Las Olas Beach is a bustling public beach with white sand, palm trees, and various amenities such as restaurants, lodging, and stores. It's located in East Fort Lauderdale near attractions like Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. The area offers pristine beaches and vibrant nightlife on Las Olas Boulevard. Visitors can also explore the charming neighborhood of Wilton Manors nearby. The beach provides a perfect setting for relaxation with its beautiful coastal scenery, inviting waters, and numerous spots to unwind.
Las Olas Beach is a beautiful spot, offering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The warm ocean water with gentle waves made swimming very pleasant, and the presence of showers to rinse off after the sea was a great convenience. The sandy stretch is wide and clean, lined with palm trees that provide natural shade and add to the tropical vibe. The beachfront promenade is lively and great for walking, yet the beach itself feels much calmer compared to the busier Miami Beach, which makes it an excellent option for those seeking a more tranquil experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the sun, and take in the stunning coastal scenery.

I like the beaches in this area downtown. Not as crowded as Miami Beach. There are various restaurants around When night falls, it is the best time for the whole family or couples. Single men and women come to walk barefoot on the beach A piece of white sand The best place for tourists to stay This is the most lively beach area in the city center. Fort Lauderdale's riverfront cultural and entertainment area is also relatively close. Recommended
Mark — Google review
At this beach, you will find a good mix of locals and tourist. This beach has a younger vibe than the other Broward beaches. Most likely because of all the bars along the beach. Parking is a few blocks west, unless you find a spot close to the strip.

Here’s a short and natural 4-star Google Maps review for Las Olas Beach: ⸻ Las Olas Beach is a lively and energetic spot 🌴☀️ — a must-visit for party lovers and beachgoers! 🎉🏖️ The vibe is upbeat, with plenty of cafés, bars, and music nearby. The beach is clean, and the sunset views are stunning 🌅. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that’s part of the fun. A perfect place to relax, stroll, or just enjoy the buzz of Fort Lauderdale! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tejas S — Google review
We really love Las Olas Beach! The beach is always clean, there are foot and body showers, the sidewalks are well-maintained, and the boardwalk is perfect for biking, rollerblading, or strolling with a stroller. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and you can also buy souvenirs. The only downside is that the parking meters don’t always work, which can be inconvenient. We hope the meters are checked regularly to make it easier for visitors.
Sabrina L — Google review
Really enjoy coming to Las Olas Beach. I almost want to give four stars because the parking situation here is always awful. Pricing is absurdly expensive. But once you park, the beach line is huge never crowded. Lifeguard towers are appropriately spaced. We always see active people, jogging, playing volleyball, play basketball, good plan a family. Not a whole lot of party or a wild people.

Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show is a vibrant local landmark that has been drawing in crowds since 1956. The restaurant offers a lively atmosphere with tiki bars, traditional Polynesian performances, and colorful South Seas cuisine. Guests can enjoy exotic dishes and tropical drinks from an award-winning menu while being entertained by agile warriors and beautiful maidens performing native dances from the South Pacific.
You should go. I had the duck salad and it was very good. They had GF next to gluten free meals so it was easy for me to select and there were several options. Entertainers were so talented, dancers musicians and MC, they all did a fabulous job. Wait staff was attentive and I loved the valet. It was $8 and you don’t have an option but it made it easy to get in and out. It’s an event not just going out to dinner. So enjoy it for what it is. We are lucky to have them “back” in Fort Lauderdale. Well done everyone.

I hadn’t been to Mai-Kai in years, and this was my first visit since they reopened — it did not disappoint! The show was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The service was also excellent; everyone was so attentive and welcoming. I went for my 37th birthday with family and friends, and we all had a wonderful time. My 5-year-old son especially loved the show, exploring the garden, and his favorite part — the volcano dessert! It was such a fun and memorable experience overall. So happy to see this iconic place back and better than ever! 🌺✨

I started going here for happy hour with my friends for the rum barrels in the pirate ship 13 years ago, before they ever renovated. We never came here for the food but for happy hour inside the pirate ship since it was half off for both drinks and appetizers, sold. Being able to walk around the garden out back with a drink was very relaxing. Moving forward to now, it's incredible to see the transformation of this property and business. You can tell from the second you pull up that Disney is now involved and not in a bad way (except for the gift shop pricing in my opinion). After visiting recently, yes, the happy hour menu has changed but if you're going for their staple rum barrel, you win not be disappointed. If you were happy about their outside garden area before, let me just tell you, your mind will be blown and you will be so excited and thrilled to see how the garden looks now.

Our server was very attentive and very helpful when it came to deciding on what to eat. I was a bit nervous since some of the reviews said that the price to food ratio was off. Although the appetizers were a bit lack luster, the size was small and the temperature was more on the cooler side. The entrees were fantastic flavor and portion wise. I am very happy with the food service and show provided. The restaurant is unique with its theme and surprisingly very educational with the show.

We had an amazing dinner at Mai-Kai! The atmosphere is truly one-of-a-kind — lush, tropical, and full of classic Polynesian charm. The food was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented, and our server Sam made the evening even better. Although we didn’t stay for the show this time, the dining experience alone was well worth the visit. A perfect spot for a memorable night out and a hint of Halloween charm. 🌺🍹✨

Fire show and dancing super entertaining. The food was also delicious. My favorites - the nonalcoholic beverages- there was this banana smoothie with a hint of strawberry, mango. The lobster bisque was perfect. And the pineapple pound cake was super moist and came with ice cream. The decor here was wonderful. It felt like you were transported to an island.
Jacqueline S — Google review
Ok, to be fair those who went with me enjoyed it more than I did. I thought the food was way over priced for the quality. The service was ok, but could have been excellent, but our waiter had way to many tables. I felt sorry for him as he was trying. The show just didn't hit for me. The others in my party enjoyed it. I thought it was boring and hard to follow as they jumped around to Polynesian locals on customs and words. I would have preferred a Polynesian story via dance and singing. The best part for me was the outdoor gardens. They were nice. I guess with the ticket prices and the cost of dinner and drinks for 4 people we were somewhere between $400 and $500. I just didn't think we got our money's worth.

S3, short for Sun, Surf, and Sand, is an upscale eatery located in Fort Lauderdale offering a chic dining experience with a menu featuring locally sourced New American and coastal cuisine, sushi, and drinks. The restaurant's beachfront location provides stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and its stylish decor makes it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
Had a great experience here recently! I sat at the outside bar and was taken care of by Dennis and Shauna, who were both super friendly and professional. There’s an inside and outside bar option, and both looked equally inviting depending on your vibe. They offer happy hour Monday through Friday from 4–7 PM, which is definitely worth it. I tried the Mamasita cocktail with Patron Reposado, I can’t believe it was only $8 during happy hour. The drink was strong but smooth and refreshing. The Korean fried chicken bites were crispy, flavorful, and generously portioned for just $10, perfect for sharing. I also had the crispy rice cakes, which come as four pieces topped with jalapeño for a spicy kick ($13). The lo mein noodle wok is a solid choice too at $12, and you can add chicken, shrimp, or steak to make it a full meal. The view of Fort Lauderdale Beach is just steps away, and made the whole experience feel like a mini escape. Street parking is available, though you do have to pay for it, so plan ahead. As the sun set, the indoor lighting created a warm, ambient vibe, and even with music playing, it wasn’t too loud, still easy to hold a conversation.Overall, a great spot whether you’re just grabbing a drink or planning a relaxed dinner with a view. I’ll definitely be back!

Love all the dishes we ordered at S3, all executed with precision and carefully plated, yet full of flavor . The cocktails 🍹 🍸 were perfectly crafted and by far the best we have had of all the restaurants we’ve visited here in Fort Lauderdale. Service is on point, thank you Cameron, and outdoor frontview of the beach is just breathtaking. We will definitely make a second visit before going back home to California. And yet, we made our second visit and we couldn’t be happier!!! We were served by Joshua and the dream team. We love the nigiri 🍣 cocktails 🍸 were perfect and consistent. Thank you for the amazing experience and hospitality. We will tell all our friends and family to visit!!!

Definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. This place is gorgeous and the food/drinks are amazing!! I’ve been here maybe 3 times, and every time has been absolutely amazing. The menu did change from the first time i came and i will say, best decision ever. The menu options are amazing and so are the drinks. This place is the best. One bad thing, in my opinion at least, this place is absolutely FREEZING. Please take a jacket if you’re sensitive to the cold lol.

The food here was amazing! I started with the Mamasita cocktail with patron reposado tequila and strawberry, which was super refreshing. Then I had the goat cheese croquettes with guava – crispy, creamy, and so good. For my main dish, I tried the Dynamite Roll, and wow… one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The pear gave it such a unique and tasty flavor. The only downside to my experience was the hostess, who had a noticeably bad attitude and was not welcoming at all. But the server made up for it – super nice and really attentive. Overall, the food was delicious, and I’d definitely come back again.
Vanessa L — Google review
Overall we had a great lunch, and I would probably come back but while the food was tasty - there are a lot of areas of opportunity. The octopus starter had maybe less than 100gr of octopus, it seemed like a joke. The poke bowl had way too much rice, the tacos were served without a plate (difficult to eat). We also had to wait a bit to be seated although we had a reservation.
Daniela B — Google review
Great setting overlooking the beach. Terrific server and loved the small touches : the expanding hand towels bathed in hot lemon grass water, the wagyu carpaccio served under a hood w smoke! Very large thai salad was great for sharing. Good value for quality and experience. Good range of wines by the glass.

Absolutely such a delight to dine here. Outside (and inside seating). Sat beside the firepit outside and started with drinks and appetizers. Goat croquettes are so, so delicious. The drinks are unique and really tasty. For a meal, we both had the salmon bowl. Was all fresh, well presented and 100% mouth-watering good. Our server was a delight, she was attentive and knew her customers. The outside seating we really enjoyed and would definitely recommend this restaurant to any on traveling to the area. Parking behind the hotel was easy to access. Truly a delightful experience.

What a great experience visiting here was! It's such a feast for the eyes, yet despite it's opulence, very warm and inviting unlike any venue I've visited. The staff here is warm and friendly, and treat you like family. This is a model of hospitality which other venues should strive for. The concession stands had fair prices for the most part and great quality. The only thing I thought was high priced was the $15 small fruit cup. Everything else was a good value considering where you are. Parking looks like it CAN be an issue, so arrive extra early to enjoy the pre-show atmosphere in the lobby with the cool friendly staff manning the bar and concession stands. I hope you get Katie as your bartender. Please note, it's cash only. It probably offers the most live music in FTL. If you like casual, dive-bar experiences, don't miss it.

Finally got to visit after many years reading about and recently watching the live cam from across the pond. Every bit as brilliant as I expected. The vibe was just like the picture painted in your imagination as you grew up in the north of Scotland listening to Steely Dan l. . . . And by you, I mean me. Thank you Ebo Room for making an old Scot happy.

The Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale Museum preserves history and honors the heroes of WWII. The museum is packed with displays about naval aviation, World War II history and Flight 19.
Such a cool place with wonderful volunteers to guide you. It's a small place but has a ton of history. If you appreciate history, especially WWII history don't miss this place.

I don’t know much about military aviation, but this place was such a hidden gem! We had to kill time before checking into a Ft. Lauderdale hotel and took an uber to the museum! It’s tucked behind the airport, but packed with amazing artifacts! A volunteer gave us a great informative tour! Place is small but we spent about an hour there! They are only open on the weekends, and no admission fee but do suggest a cash donation of your choice.
Brianna K — Google review
Had an excellent time! Our tour guide (I apologize for not remembering his name, I'm bad at that), was amazing. It is free of charge. I will encourage buying aomething at their store or donating. Lots of history, stories, pictures, airplane and ship models, and pictures. It will take around 30-40 minutes.

A small museum that packs a big punch. GREAT volunteer docents . Do yourself a favor and take a tour with a volunteer, versus a self led tour, you'll get so much more out of the experience. Many interesting stories have roots here ! Flight 19, George H. Bush flight training, and more...

Had a great time. The museum is small but full of history. The volunteers are really lovely. The one who showed us round , Chris , was great , extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The information we received was easy to understand. We loved it and would highly recommend if you have a spare hour or so.

If you’re in the area, you absolutely must visit the Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale Museum! Our entire family, including the kids, had an amazing time exploring the exhibits. The museum is engaging, well-organized, and full of fascinating history. It was a very pleasant experience, educational and fun for all ages. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the neighborhood — definitely worth a stop!

I love this place. A senior lady who used to work as a commercial pilot gave us a wonderful tour. They take such good care of the items in the museum. It really shows a community of pilots and people into Naval History. We had such a wonderful time in this small museum filled with rich history.

It was a fascinating experience going to this museum, they have so many items and historic pictures, it’s a must if you like history! Hearing the stories from Mr. Gary Adams was the best part of our visit. Thank you !

Pizza restaurant
Heritage is a vibrant and modern restaurant located in the arts district of Fort Lauderdale. The chef/owner, Rino Cerbone, has redefined Italian cuisine with a focus on quality and innovation. The menu offers a variety of specialty pizzas, colorful salads, and small plates such as squash blossoms and agrodocle calamari. The intimate setting makes it advisable to make reservations in advance. This popular spot has become a favorite for celebrations and enjoyable evenings out.
I went here for my birthday lunch expecting a great meal, but I left with so much more. This restaurant delivers top-notch food at truly affordable prices, paired with an incredible ambiance. Every plate that came out impressed me, both in flavor and presentation. I had the privilege of sitting by the expo window and watching dishes being garnished and plated with such care and precision—it was a real treat to see. Chef Rino went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable, and I left with happy tears in my eyes. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner before a show. We did t have reservations and even though they were busy they found us seat by the pizza bar. It was our first time there. We had an amazing meal and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere was great,Love watching then make the pizzas. Our waiter Paul was perfect 👌 and what a professional. We will most definitely be back with friends real soon.
Ernie J — Google review
We had such a wonderful experience at Heritage! Everything we ordered was delicious — the pizza, pasta, and especially the kale salad were all outstanding. Our server, Kevin, was absolutely spectacular! He gave us amazing recommendations and introduced us to their espresso martini with a salty foam — one of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. We’re definitely coming back soon!
Nica S — Google review
The food was delicious and the service was great. It is a little confined and very loud. I would say that the prices are a bit high for the atmosphere. If the place was a little bigger and quieter, you could definitely charge these prices with no problem. I was happy they allowed me to add chicken to my pasta dish and usually when you add something it isn’t that great, but this was really good!
Seth S — Google review
This place is always busy for good reason. The service is always wonderful and the food and drinks are 10/10. Very consistent with both. We had their meatball pizza and I ate way too much because it was so good, even their water is good. It’s super filtered and has such a great taste to it. We sat at the bar and the bartender is a beast. He was making the drinks so quickly and everything was tasty—my husband got the Hemingway and we both thought it was great. Highly recommend this place.
Jessica M — Google review
Some dishes were amazing — especially the salad and the eggplant parmigiana. The pizza, however, had very hard dough and wasn’t enjoyable. I also felt a bit nervous leaving honest feedback after seeing some of the owner’s replies to other reviews, but I hope this is taken constructively.
Elcin K — Google review
Our visit to Heritage in Fort Lauderdale was an absolute delight—made even more enjoyable by the anticipation built from its sterling reputation and numerous accolades. The restaurant’s renown for award-winning cuisine is well deserved. We began with the calamari, a standout dish prepared in a distinctive sauce that balanced a subtle nuttiness with the sweetness of red drop peppers—a refreshing and creative departure from the typical preparation. The squash blossoms, served alongside a bright and velvety marinara, were so flavorful they warranted a “scrape-the-plate” moment. The meatball pizza, layered with four different cheeses, delivered on every level—decadent, savory, and perfectly executed with a crisp yet tender crust. Each bite confirmed why Heritage continues to earn such high praise. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to explore more of the menu’s inventive offerings.

We came here with some friends who recommended the spot. We booked almost a week in advance because they are very busy. Even on a Wednesday night. We had the pasta, kale salad, mushroom balls, and calamari. We enjoyed our meal and we would recommend. Also, the service was A+.

This unique brewpub operates on a five-barrel system and showcases an impressive rotation of 10 craft beers that often incorporate local Florida ingredients. Signature brews like the Bleubird Saison, aged with hand-picked blueberries, and the PassionBerry Sour highlight their commitment to innovation.
Got the Gatorgrog, did not disappoint. So happy they now have more then beer as my hubby is the craft beer drinker but not me. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as always. Great place to hang and enjoy company.

Friendly dive of a local brewery (old-school and okay with it). 🐊🦌 Great variety of beers, with German range plus at least four IPAs. Samplers are a good idea to start.
Sam K — Google review
Right by the train tracks and crowd were not too bad on a Friday night. They have a small parking lot and street parking all around by PayByPhone. They don’t serve food but there’s one food truck stationed outside. The selection of beers and variety of styles makes it stand out compared to many breweries. They make their own bourbon (haven’t tried yet), mocktails ($10 is a bit much), cocktails, lagers, sours, IPA, stout, wine, in other words… they got something for everyone. Bartenders were friendly and attentive, music volume wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t hear each other, and ambiance was chill. Def recommend!
Andrea Y — Google review
Invasive Brewing is part craft brewery, part curiosity cabinet. Massive stainless tanks share space with shelves full of taxidermy—gators, bobcats, and birds keeping watch while you sip. The beers are solid, the vibe is laid-back, and the daily $2 martinis (5–6 PM) are a steal. Specials like IPA Monday, Sour Tuesday, and discounted to-go beer keep things fresh. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and plenty to look at—this is a spot you’ll remember.

Loved my visit here. Guava Pastelito was heavenly! Our server, Katrina was super nice and helpful. If it gets busy- can be a wait for the toilet; RECOMMEND.

Very cool and unique brewery! Stuffed animals all over, hence the name, and great location! Staff was great at pointing out other breweries in the area since we were in town for the week. Very helpful and knowledgeable on the different beers offered. Definitely will be coming back next time we are down here. Great spot and wonderful atmosphere.

The best brewery in South Florida. The have an extensive selection of beer on tap and one of the best craft German beer selections I’ve ever seen. The staff if friendly and the brewery has a comfy cozy vibe to it. Will be stopping in to get cans to go whenever I am in the area.
Austin A — Google review
Update 2024: Absolutely fantastic beer - great IPAs, sours, and stouts. Highly recommend. Update 2023: Visited a month or so ago, and the beer was fantastic, perhaps better than I remembered. Tried a few of their IPAs and a sour; everything was good, even some of their lower ABV IPAs had a better flavor than their big brothers. Additionally, the food from the food truck was great, much better than it used to be. Not sure if it's the same or if they changed something, but would get food again. Original: Awesome beer! Wonderful, full-flavored hazy IPAs and a good selection of other style beers. Would definitely recommend. If you have kids, go early. If not, go when you want, and you won't be disappointed!

Xtreme Action Park is a massive 200,000 square foot indoor entertainment venue in Florida, offering a wide range of thrilling activities for visitors of all ages. From go-kart racing on a half-mile track to bowling, arcade games, ropes course adventure, trampoline park, roller skating rink, escape rooms, laser tag and virtual reality games - there's something for everyone.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My 5-year-old son had an amazing experience at Xtreme Park’s Jr. Car Racing, all thanks to Reginald! It was his very first time racing, and Reginald made sure he was safe, comfortable, and had fun every step of the way. As a parent, I felt confident knowing my son was in great hands. He had such a great time and will never forget this experience. Thank you, Reginald, for making his first race so special!

Super fun. Was a rainy day so super busy and chaotic. Decent price for all the stuff you can do. $250 for 4 people for 3 activities. Mini golf , trampoline and rope course we picked. Lots more options. Only reason no 5 star is due to not being able to get a drink at the bar. Very stressful to take kids to these places and not able to get a drink made it even more.
Tj R — Google review
This is a very cool and expensive indoor park I’ve ever seen. My son wanted to skate and that’s what he did! The prices are just ridiculous! Mini golf is deceiving it says it’s for a group of 4. In actuality it means that 4 groups can select the same time slots. We couldn’t get a refund only credits to another activity. I think the credit should be able to apply to food/beverages as well. Other than my personal preference this place is neat for kids and adults that enjoy just being in their midlife energy! The food was ok, the wings were not though. It was too saucy for my son! Very small portions as well, the food prices don’t match quality or quantity! Would I come again, yes but I would have to be prepared mentally bc you have to spend good money to truly enjoy yourself!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale is absolutely EPIC! We came for **Nightmare Village** and had an unforgettable time, the haunted attractions were thrilling, creative, and full of surprises! But that’s just the beginning, the go-karts are fast and competitive, the **escape rooms** are challenging and fun, and the **hidden speakeasy bar, The Green Hat**, is a must-visit for adults. We bowled, played **mini golf**, hit the **arcade and VR games**, jumped in the **trampoline park**, tried **laser tag**, **roller skating**, and even the **rope course**. There’s truly something for everyone, families, friends, and thrill seekers alike. The staff was amazing, the place was spotless, and the energy was electric. We had an absolute BLAST at Nightmare Village, can’t wait to go back!

👍 Awesome Place, Just Needs a Scheduling Tweak! Xtreme Activities is an awesome place with so much to do! I had a blast, and it's definitely an adrenaline-filled day. My only suggestion for future visitors is to give yourself ample time between activities when purchasing. I wasn't informed when I registered, and unfortunately, my booked activities ended up running too close together. This meant I didn't have enough time to enjoy each one to its fullest extent. However, the park has so much to offer that one day just isn't enough to experience it all! I'll absolutely need to go back again to fully explore everything. Highly recommend—just plan your schedule carefully!
Sedona B — Google review
We had the birthday party and there were a variety of activities. However, when it came to scheduling, there were gaps between each activity because the event wasn’t well organized. There were many people, so the kids ended up waiting around without anything to do at times. The host kindly offered an extra activity not originally included, since she noticed the lack of planning. Overall, everything else was good, and that’s why I’m giving 4 stars — the host managed to resolve things despite the disorganization.
Rafmary L — Google review
Complete trash. I really tried to give this place a chance. Very expensive. Spent $1,600 for a birthday party a couple of years ago and said I would never go back. Fast forward to now. I was asked to give it another try and I deeply regret it. This place is run by kids… literally. Just ridiculous. Very overpriced and poorly managed. Save your money and go somewhere else.
J A — Google review
Oh my GOD was that awful! We walk in to a mad house, which is totally to be expected on a Saturday. Security makes sure we don’t have any weapons.. love that.. and we get in line. We stand in line for half an hour, and when we get to the front, these lady pictured says, “what’s your issue?” And we say, “uhhh no issue we’re just looking to pay you…” She then says you have to go to the kiosk and proceeds to help someone else but we wait because we just stood in line and actually just need to pay her before we go anywhere else. Once we get to her, she explains that the kiosk is the only place possible to sign ourselves up and sign a waiver, and that all she’s able to do is pull up already existing profiles and add things to them. SUPER frustrating! So, we go to the kiosk and spend 10 minutes trying to create accounts, one of us already had an existing account, trying to put them all together.. it asked if I wanted to add a family member and I said yes but it was a child so it told me to add that at the end instead. Okaaaaay… then we add three action passes and the next screen says, “Game 1 time” but not what game 1 is. So we picked a time, assuming maybe it was for one of the ones that are only an hour, and at the checkout screen it said that the first activity started an hour from then, the second one two hours from then.. so we were like no no no.. we go to start over, add a different time, and now we’re charged double. It was a hot mess. Hottttt mess. Why have a line available to pay if you cannot sign people up on it? Why have only one person working it if is a Saturday that’s packed?? We weren’t the only ones in line as first timers. Before it was just her working, a different worker was helping someone else and TOOK THEM TO THE KIOSK TO ASSIST… crazy.. It was awful. Get it together.

Rebel Wine Bar was the perfect home for my Sip, Script & Manifest event. My guests absolutely loved the ambiance, it was intimate, elegant, and full of good energy. The food was delicious, the wine was flowing, and the entire vibe elevated the experience in every way. The staff? Incredible. Thoughtful, attentive, and so easy to work with. They truly helped make the night seamless and unforgettable. I’m so happy with how everything turned out, and I genuinely cannot wait to go back for a blind wine tasting date night with my husband. Highly recommend for events, date nights, or anytime you want an elevated experience. Thank you to Larissa and her team for an incredible night.

I recently had a little Bridal Bash sip and paint here and we had a great time! Communication was efficient and the service the night of my event was excellent. Very attentive and pleasant. While this spot is quaint, that’s what gives it its charm and the vibe was relaxing and fun. Great flights and charcuterie and live music is always a bonus!

We went to a wine tasting at Rebel Wine Bar and had such a great time! Polly was an incredible sommelier who made learning about each wine easy and enjoyable, and the entire Rebel Wine Bar team took such great care of everyone. Orin was so kind and made our experience even better, and the owner Larissa is extremely knowledgeable and just awesome to talk to. We don’t drink wine often because we’ve never found our perfect blend, but after they took the time to listen to our tastes, we found a few bottles we truly LOVE. We’ll definitely be coming back. If you haven’t been to Rebel Wine Bar yet, you should absolutely check it out. It’s such a fun and welcoming place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rebel Wine Bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was simply delightful - cozy yet sophisticated, with dim lighting and a great selection of music that set the perfect mood for a night out. But what really made my evening was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and treated with great care throughout our meal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and made some excellent recommendations from the menu that really added to our overall dining experience. And of course, I can't forget to mention the wine! Rebel Wine Bar boasts an impressive selection of wines from all over the world, and the sommelier was happy to help us navigate the menu and find the perfect bottle to complement our meal. All in all, I had a truly enjoyable evening at Rebel Wine Bar and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, fantastic service, and of course, some delicious wine. Four stars!

Market
Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop is a must-visit, known as the South's largest flea market. The vibrant yellow people bridge over Sunrise Boulevard invites visitors to explore this unique experience. It offers a diverse range of items from clothing and household goods to fresh produce. The food court features various vendors, including Las Reinas with live music and Mexican cuisine. For Latino visitors, it feels like a familiar mercadito filled with fresh fruits and friendly competition among vendors.
Alot of great vendors with anything you could want or need, and whatever jumps out at you for an impulse buy. Inside and outside, I'm sure you can find a good deal. I hope there's plans to renovate the 2nd floor upstairs with more games and repair the go karts there. Always great to shop and browse a good flea market on the weekend and only $4 to park right there for easier accessibility
Ashley S — Google review
Best place in the region to buy used stuff. Sunday is the best day. Free entrance (you only pay parking if you need it) and a lot of vendors. There is not a great food variety in the food court, but it is enough, you don't go to a flea market to dine out. You can get bargains if you search for this.

I’ve been here a lot when I was a young kid with my mom. Coming back here at the age of 33 brought back nostalgia and other core memories. I don’t recall there being an indoor portion, but it was nice to see the indoor part with the various food court options, vintage cars on display and small businesses on the first and second floors. It is great to see all of the shop owners working hard.

Oh my goodness, this has really changed in 21 years since we last visited. Sad to see it nowadays, no circus and many same stalls. Good for locals but as for a visit from English people, it's a little poor and very hot if you're outside

I came on a Sunday morning. This was my first time back in years. The parking was $4 cash. It is not well organized. I advise you to be careful when driving. After you pay. The lanes merge. It becomes aggressive driving from here on until you find a parking spot. The parking area is uneven. It has bumps. The area has an outdoor area with large TVs and Mexican restaurants. A fruit and vegetable market is right next to it. I bought a coconut water that cost me $8 ouch. I also got two small, dry, cold, tacos for another $8 at the big restaurant The area that is covered I did not do much walking. I saw clothing, perfumes, phones, plants etc. The air-conditioning area had a food court and other things like wigs, paintings, jewelry, furniture and bathrooms. There is another area that looks like a huge used garage sale. This area has everything from tools, shoes, food, bedding and much more. Everything here is used. and this area you can have your car window tinted. Negotiate the prices. Things are so cheap hear anyone.

My boyfriend and I took a late ride with dinner around 7:30 with Captain Royal. She was the sweetest. She played great music and was very accommodating with the gondola considering there was a slight mist during our ride. She kept our beverages cold and as we ventured out on the water we had cute conversation about the history and homes along the way. Although it was quite late and dark out I actually really enjoyed the night tour. Would definitely recommend the tour and the lovely captain. It was nice to have a lady escort us!

A few spots are just empty, so there are fewer businesses inside the marketplace. Generally speaking, I would recommend this place, but it isn't amazing. It is pretty decent 👌 👍.

Had a casual hang here for my bday celebration and had a blast, good food choices, and fast service. Drinks were strong and delicious, nice vibe and great for taking photos, it was slightly loud since there was a live band, but they were awesome. There's also an ax throwing area and lots of adult activities, i.e., pool table, electronic dart boards and giant jenga, etc. A must visit if you're in the area, first hour is free for parking and 4bucks per hour after that.

It’s been a while since my last visit but i had a positive experience. This place is a food hall with many vendors offering a variety of different food options along with a full bar and a brewery. You order and pay at your table and they bring the food and drinks to you. The food and drinks that we ordered came out fairly quick, very tasty and flavorful. I’ll return again soon.
Leidi C — Google review
Cool vibe. Awesome spot for large parties and work functions. Pretty standard quality bar food, wide assortment of adult libations. Lots of space, so it doesn't feel crowded and heavy. Axe-throwing is a bonus feature and adds a really fun element
Loredana C — Google review
We came here as a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday and were really disappointed with how the experience started. Even though the place was practically empty, they wouldn’t allow us to split into different lanes for axe throwing. Instead, they expected all 12 of us to use just one lane, which made the activity feel crowded, slow, and not as enjoyable as it could have been. We decided on darts instead. The food itself was okay, nothing to rave about. The highlight was definitely the Labubu Dubai chocolate, super tasty, rich, and unique, but definitely on the pricey side.

This is such a neat place for eating out and hanging with family and friends. Pick your type of food, order through the app and they will bring to you table, including beverages. They have American, Italian, Korean, Indonesian, Mexican, Crepes and coffee, and more to choose from. There is a brewery and small store inside, from local artists. Love the DJ in back and the mix of music, very upbeat, makes a great experience. I would definitely recommend, I will visiting again.

Love this place in Fort Lauderdale!!! A Perfect place to eat with a large group. Everyone can order and pay through the app. Makes it very easy specially if you are with a large group. We had the Tacos (SIMPLY AMAZING!!) The chips & Guac totally on point. The Elotes were one of the best we have had. For desert we had a crepe brownie. There is Plenty of seating inside & Outside. There are arcade games for kids to keep busy. Overall would recommend Sistrunk for great food, atmosphere & value. A true hidden gem in the heart of downtown Ft Lauderdale!

This tiki boat was so awesome! Easy to book & easy to locate. Captain Carl was so accommodating and fun. You can bring your own food and booze which makes it really easy to have everything you need while you enjoy the 2 hours cruising and soaking in the views. We did the sunset time block and it was beautiful. Great time!!!

Donna and Carl were amazing, we had such a fun time on their ORIGINAL tiki boat. Their attention to detail is unmatched and they made the whole experience so special. Such a fun time- super highly recommend!

What a great experience! Carl and Donna were wonderful and told us some interesting information about the homes along the river and the river’s history. The rain was off and on during the day and Donna was flexible with our time slot and changed it so we had perfect weather for our cruise. We stopped to feed some very lively fish at a popular restaurant along the way. The kids loved it! We had our cocktails and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Fort Lauderdale Beach Park's Playground is a scenic park located on Seabreeze Boulevard, offering various amenities and activities for visitors. It features picnic areas with tables and grills, clean restrooms, outdoor showers, basketball and volleyball courts, and a boating ramp for non-motorized boats. The park is less crowded than other nearby beaches, making it popular among families. With its picturesque ocean views and abundant facilities, Fort Lauderdale Beach Park provides an ideal setting for a day of outdoor fun.
Today was our 1st time on Fort Lauderdale beach as a City of Miami, resident, I have never visited this beach & very disappointed that I didn't. Nevertheless I will be visiting Fort Lauderdale Beach more frequently. 👙🏊🏾‍♀️ The traffic was great, the parking was great, the atmosphere was amazing & the view was breathtaking. The cleanliness of beach is magnificent. 🎉🎉🎉 We were really taken on an excursion as we got to the sea shore, by surprise the seaturtles🐢 were nesting, the Coast Guard 🚢 made a spectacular water show, & I found under the water a beautiful pair of pink goggles that read "Life Is Good". 🥽 Finally, if you have decided to go to Fort Lauderdale beach for a beach day. Go right ahead you will not regret it. 😊👍🏾🙏🏾🎉

Nice calm beach. Parking and public restrooms available. Plenty of restaurants. Beach was clean. There are picnic tables and some trees to provide shade. There are several unhoused individuals around. They kept their distance.
Techi “ — Google review
It's probably one of the best beaches in FL from just general experience at this point, unlike South Beach with an overwhelming amount of goons lurking this beach feels safe in comparison. The basketball court is a fine touch to all the volleyball courts, and the bathrooms are really clean. The beach itself is touched up with rake tractors every so often. The palm trees are strategically planted on the beach side, really giving the beach itself that island vibe it deserves.
Abel S — Google review
Decent beach. Parking is right on beach side. The bathrooms were clean, but very dated. There was a life guard on duty when we were there. The sand was very hot. There is a walkway over A1A which goes to some little eateries.
Richard C — Google review
So much trash on the beach and the city council encourages large venues to host beach events, pumping music so loud you can’t even hear yourself talk. Nothing but full of drunk people disrespectful of all those around them while sadly, the police stand idly by without any sound meters to keep things in check. Noise violations nearly everyday, disturbing the peace but people somehow have just let it happen? Beaches are also for relaxation, families, and for people to enjoy the outdoors. It’s a disgrace that the city allows these non-local massive organizations to take over the beach and just wreck havoc on people trying to enjoy vacations. Shame on them for approving the permits and disrespecting the members of the community. The city council is only catering to for-profit, non-local businesses while essentially telling residents “we don’t care about you”. Terrible beach for so many reasons and sad to see what it has become with the horrible leaders in city council and the mayors office.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is a major event that takes place in October, attracting a large number of boats and yachts to the Hall of Fame Marina and the Bahia Mar yachting center. The show features exhibitions and displays of various types of boats, making it a great opportunity to see a wide variety of vessels.
The Hull Doctor attends the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show every year, and it’s nothing short of amazing. It’s great to see so many of the boats we service on display and meet owners, captains, and vendors in person. Between the exhibits, new tech, and all the networking, FLIBS is always one of our favorite weeks of the year. Can’t wait for the next one! #dirtybottomclub

Normal boat shows are a convention center or a marina but this one goes way beyond. The red carpet is rolled out for those attending and everyone gets into the spirit with hotels, restaurants, bars and transportation accommodating travelers. Once inside you will see all you want and typically have manufacture reps so you can ask the most detailed questions. Fun time but you need to plan on more than one day to see it all.

The Wharf Fort Lauderdale is a lively and dynamic destination located just minutes from Downtown Fort Lauderdale. It offers a diverse selection of culinary experiences and live music performances, making it popular among both locals and visitors. The venue hosts a variety of events, including themed nights with special entertainment such as Mariachi bands and Mexican wrestlers. With an expansive 1.
Went there for St. Patrick’s Day and had an amazing experience. The music was amazing and the vibes were great. Drinks were very tasty and well-made, food was delicious and we ordered the loaded fries which I highly recommend. The place was packed, but still very organized and great.

The original Wharf opened on the Miami River. It was such a success that a sister location opened on Las Olas on the New River in 2019. There is limited metered street parking around The Wharf and two city garages a couple of blocks away. They also offer valet. I always wanted to try the Wharf and now I can say I have. The Wharf is an event space with food trucks and four bars. They hold a lot of fun events with corresponding drink specials. On the night I was there it was Wharf around the World. They had different drink stands set up representing different countries. If you got a stamp from each country they gave you a T-shirt. I had a tasty and affordable pain killer from the Caribbean pop up. They also had entertainment like Taiko drummers and a French mime. On the night I was there it was one of the final Heat games. There was a huge screen set up at the bar and it was really packed with people. By the time I left you couldn't walk anywhere. Which leads me to my gripe with them. There is plenty of attractive and comfortable seating in the middle of the venue but it is all reserved. Hardly any of it was being used and I was cast off to the edge by the fence. I wish they had more unreserved seating. On the plus side, even though it was extremely crowded the restroom I used was clean. While I liked the entertainment and drink and food specials the seating was uncomfortable and being packed in with a bunch of younger drunk people while sober (I was the driver) was not fun. It is a great concept but next time I would try coming back in the afternoon. At least now I know what I have been missing.

The Wharf – Great Location, But Missing Character The Wharf in Fort Lauderdale is in a prime location—right on the river with beautiful views of the Intracoastal. On paper, it has all the elements to be something magical. But in reality, it feels like your typical American bar, and unfortunately, it lacks character. The space is huge—almost too big for its own good. Even on busy days, it somehow feels empty and a bit impersonal. The drinks are just okay, and the food trucks, while convenient, don’t offer anything particularly memorable. That said, the view alone makes it worth a visit, especially for out-of-towners. I live in the area and just go for a stop And go drink. It’s a fun stop for a casual drink, but don’t expect anything intimate or unique.
Mario P — Google review
Lots of fun great place to bring the kids or for an adult night out. Food stands, games music a great bar over looking the water
Audra B — Google review
We had an excellent time at The Wharff Fort Lauderdale. The location on Las Olas gives it a lively, open-air vibe that immediately puts you in a good mood. The food-truck selection is a standout: creative bites, casual comfort, and plenty of variety. The drink menu is solid, with well-made cocktails and plenty of bar action. Service was friendly and efficient, even when the space got busy. If you’re looking for something intimate or low-key, you might want to visit early in the evening or on a less busy night. Great to come with a group of friends.
Neftali U — Google review
Such a fun and enjoyable place to hang out during the day or at night. Lots of good specials and theme nights. Anna is the best bartender in the whole place, she’s so friendly and welcoming and brings the fun and energy even on a slow night. Highly recommend going to the wharf and even more so going and getting a drink from Anna.

The place is well maintained and good setting for watching sports with screens all around. The staff were friendly and quick to refill drinks. The place was well maintained and clean. This small, well-maintained and incredibly serene park is a hidden treasure right behind bustling Las Olas Boulevard. If you love cool ocean breezes, plenty of shade, peace and quiet, beautiful tropical flora, and a place to read, picnic, rest, or view every manner of sea vessel navigating the deep blue sea, then this is your place! You will find a few spaces in front where you can park for free for three hours. At the entrance is a little box for book exchanges, and the lovely brick paths lead you to benches strategically placed around the park for water viewing. Someone brought a hammock the other day and was sleeping in the shade. Nurses were enjoying a quiet lunch together, while another family gathered for a picnic with their young children. I simply love it here. Kudos to the City of Fort Lauderdale workers who were there tidying up, always with smiles and pleasant greetings for everyone. I was somewhat reluctant to enter this museum thinking it would be a downer. I am glad I went. What struck me was how relatively recently the GLTBQ community has faced adversity (and still does) and how far we have come for basic (not extra) rights. As a younger person who does not think twice about expressing who I am, you realize that just a few decades ago it was so different and you never can take things for granted. Everyone should visit this museum for that reason.

Fat Village is growing better each time there's an Art Walk. I've been to 3 others and this time was the best ever. The art has matured into something both Boomers and Millennials enjoy. The studios, workplaces and schools were turned into places that encouraged wandering with something happening everywhere. Much of the work was interactive, such as the large posted sheet where we all wrote one-word descriptions of ourselves. The visitors were a show in themselves. I was reminded of the "love fests" we had in the 60s; filled with original characters in all sorts of dress. We didn't care for the street food but the friendly "bars" all over were a great place to hang at and talk to friendly locals. Fat Village Center for the Arts will inspire those thinking of taking art for fun or true skills. Yes, parking is difficult but it was well worth the small effort. We all need a 'paseo' or Art Walk occasionally!

Sebastian Street Beach is a low-key, LGBT-friendly public beach in Fort Lauderdale that offers umbrella rentals, lounge chairs, and a playground. It's known for its crystal blue waters, soft white sand, and gentle sea breeze. The beach provides ample space to spread out and unwind while enjoying the palm trees and clear water. Sebastian Street Beach is also a favorite spot for dolphins to play in the waves close to shore. Despite its small size, it has a unique vibe compared to other local beaches.
Very clean beach, not too many people on the weekend, lots of places to eat and shop, and beautiful views. The only downside is the sand, it is not as fine as the sand on the Gulf Coast beaches, and can be painful on your feet after a while
Noah M — Google review
Sebastian Street Beach is one of my favorite spots in Fort Lauderdale! The beach is always clean, with soft sand and clear water that’s perfect for swimming. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it’s known for being very friendly and inclusive, which makes it a comfortable place for everyone. Lifeguards are usually on duty and attentive, so you feel safe even if the beach gets busy. What I also love is the location — right in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach, so you can easily grab a coffee, snack, or cocktail from nearby restaurants and bars and come back to the water. Parking can be a bit tricky on weekends, but it’s manageable if you come early. The vibe is fun, social, and easygoing, with lots of people just enjoying the sun and the ocean. Overall, it’s a fantastic beach to spend the day, whether you’re alone, with friends, or visiting as a couple. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Fort Lauderdale! 🌴☀️🌊

Always a fun day out on the gay beach of Fort Lauderdale. The beaches are clean, the life savers are on point and the overall vibe is friendly. And the water, well, a whole different story in comparison to our icy 🥶 cold waters in Cape Town. Loved our swim and beach day.

Very nice beach. We have been there three summers in a row. This year july to August 2019, there was no seaweed and very clear water. It was the same in 2017, but 2018 there was a lot of seaweeds and high waves. It's not like the Caribbean breaches, but it's sure nice. There are a lot of restaurants, hotels and airbnb close to the beach, so it a "built out" area. They are building a lot down on the beach, så I am looking forward to see how it will look in a couple of year. Fort Lauderdale is know for having distances between hotels and restaurants. The overall best thing with the veas, was that we saw a manatee swimming by!

It is quiet and nice beach. I had chance to see wildlife here. I add some videos of baby shark and some big birds which hunting fishes.

Great beach. Not super crowded, great views and very accessible. There’s a good amount of restaurants nearby if you’re hungry and parking as well.

My husband and I had an absolutely unforgettable tandem kayaking adventure! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Cassie and the owner, Brian, were incredibly warm, welcoming, informative and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality was truly unmatched. The scenery was stunning, the equipment was top-notch, and the entire experience was both relaxing and exciting. We can’t recommend this enough—it’s a must-try! We’re already looking forward to our next trip back. Thank you, Cassie and Brian, for such an amazing day!

My group booked a guided paddleboard/snorkel tour for a bachelorette and had a wonderful experience. Our guides, Sarah and Stosh, were encouraging and gave helpful advice. The water was choppy on the day we went out, but they were excellent navigators and helped us make the most of our excursion. Communication was great, there were no hidden fees, and reservations were straightforward. Would definitely book again!

Great Experience! This is the second time we’ve gone paddleboarding with Sunrise PaddleBoards, and we loved it. The staff is always helpful and takes the time to explain everything before the tour. They also provide a heads-up on what to expect regarding the weather and offer the best tips. Thank you! We’ll definitely be back.

Epic Kids Birthday Party at Sunrise Paddleboards! We were looking for a fun and unforgettable experience for our son and his friends and we found it at Sunrise Paddleboards! We celebrated my son's 9th birthday there, and it was an absolute blast. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly and that all the kids were having a great time. They really could not have been more helpful. The kids started off with canoeing and paddleboarding, which was led by experienced and patient guides who made everyone feel comfortable and gently eased the nervous kids into participating. Within minutes they were all getting the hang of it, laughing and paddling around with confidence. The lake behind the shop is a perfect, safe place for the kids to have fun and the lovely renovated deck area is a great space for the parents to watch and relax. The guides were so fun and thoughtful. After a while, they brought out a large raft for the kids to play on which the boys loved. They provided the life jackets and made sure everyone was safe and accounted for at all times. The facilities are spacious and clean. They have an outdoor shower, an indoor changing area and a area for the kids to have lunch and cake and run around. The staff were fantastic and Troy was especially great with the kids. He played the music we requested and went out of his way to rig up our pinata and make it extra fun for the kids to hit. Overall, our experience at Sunrise Paddleboards was amazing. The kids had a blast, and the adults had a great time relaxing and watching them enjoy themselves. I received so many compliments from the parents and the kids. I highly recommend Sunrise Paddleboards for any birthday party or special event. It's a truly unique and memorable experience that your child will never forget!

This place is great, my team of 23 people all went and had a blast there was even one person who refused to paddle board and they offered a kayak for no extra charge. Other person accidentally broke an oar since they are apparently easily broken if you’re on the taller side and they we very understanding and did not up charge us for that either. This was one of the only places open since it was apparently too cold even though we did not think it was that bad (we are from Wisconsin) but this location was very accommodating and kind! This is a great place to go to I highly suggest going here on your next paddle boarding adventure!
