This place is amazing! Lucy introduced us to the sea turtles, and her enthusiasm made the experience even more special. She’s such a well-prepared and fun guide. Beyond her, the entire hospital and its residents are a must-see when passing by. Definitely worth a visit!

What a fantastic place. Somehow it manages to blend a 1950s era roadside attraction with vital conservation work. They do an incredible job of rehabing and releasing turtles and are also quite willing to show you how they do it. It was an incredibly cool experience and we were glad to support the efforts of the staff. Lots of turtles to see, clearly expert care.

We loved The Turtle Hospital!!!! The tour was very educational! Our tour guide Richard was enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable! You can tell him and the rest of the staff love what they do! Don’t miss this if you are down in Marathon! Visit and donate, it’s for a good cause!

Excellent time this week visiting The Turtle Hospital on Marathon Key. Staff cares for sea turtles injured in the wild, seek to rehab for release, but in many cases turtles become residents because they cannot be returned to the wild… hate to say it but in most cases it’s human causes…. the tour is very educational, very helpful to understand the who/what/why of sea turtle rescue and rehab! Highly recommend a visit… adoption opportunities available!

This place is a G-dsend. The work they do is truly incredible. It's a must-see for anyone visiting the Florida Keys, especially for anyone passionate about sea turtle conservation. It's apparent all donations go directly to conservation work, and you get to tour the facilities. They even have Turtle Hospital Ambulances for rescuing sea turtles! Simply fantastic.

We did the tour with Jane yesterday, it was such a great time seeing the turtles and how they are cared for. It’s very informative and worth the trip and hour long tour, these sea turtles are very well looked after. And anything bought goes to their continued care to be able to release them back. One thing to note is bring a refillable bottle and a hat, a lot of the tour you are outside so be prepared for the heat.

Amazing children’s park and park is visibility appealing BUT the beach not so much. Sea grass everywhere and the odor is terrible. We were here a few years back and wasn’t this way. Not planning on returning when in the area.

The beach was… decent. Not a Caribbean paradise like Varadero, but it had its charm. The best part? It’s pet-friendly, so I got to bring my husky along for the adventure. The sand wasn’t postcard-perfect, but you could still wade in and enjoy a refreshing swim. They even have a little spot where you can change and rinse off with regular water before heading home—simple, but handy after a salty dip.

Easily one of the best beaches in the FL Keys… wide, white sand beach, plenty of facilities (bathrooms, showers), recreation areas like volleyball and BBQs. Fenced parking area provides easy access to beach. Lots of beautiful, green tropical space! Water is very nice, calm, and beautiful. Very worth a stop to enjoy when you’re passing through Marathon Key! Highly recommend!

Really loved Sombrero Beach! The beach itself is beautiful and perfect for relaxing, with volleyball courts and accessible bathrooms. The only downside was a bit of a smell, but overall it’s a great spot to spend the day.

This was a very picturesque beach with excellent outdoor foot wash and shower spray. When we were here, there was very little seagrass/seaweed. However, in addition to the smell of sulpher, we were dissapointed to see the posted sign prohibiting swimming due to increased bacteria. Many people were in the water. We went in as well, but didn't put our heads under. If we weren't concerned with the bacteria and there wasn't as unpleasant order, we would give this beach 5 stars. The sandy area was adequate and the beach wasn't crowded. There are very nice picnic areas (not sure if you reserve them in advance for use) and a park for kids with sunshade.

Beautiful sandy beach- quiet.. not a lot of shade from the palm trees so if you want shade bring an umbrella. Some fish to see- needle nose fish (pretty fish that don’t bother you) but otherwise not super clear for snorkeling but a relaxing hangout spot for sure. One of the few beautiful beaches on the keys in my opinion. My son loved it for exploring on the rocks. Clean bathroom and easy parking!

Great public beach with a little bit of shade if you go early and spot available. Water isn't crystal clear but still nice place to spend the day in the sun and water. Bathrooms available and pet friendly and definitely family friendly. We've gone many times with our kiddos.

Spent a half day last week as a researcher. I learned so much about the dolphins and helped with different research activities throughout the morning. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I was so impressed with how much they love and care for these dolphins. The dolphins are in charge and if they want to participate that’s great but if they aren’t feeling it then they can pass with no problem. Everyone cheers for the dolphins and encourages them like a mother would her child. Best experience I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this stop on your stay or travel through the Keys!! Flagler was my favorite dolphin💙. Special thank you to researchers Kristen and Sarah, you guys gave me memories and knowledge I will carry for a lifetime!

What an amazing place! The trainers are so friendly and welcome questions to help educate you about dolphins. You get to watch actual medical care and training sessions going on. We stayed almost 3 hours and learned so much and saw so many dolphins and sea lions up close. Do not think twice— just buy your ticket and go in! Best time is to get there right when they open. I didn’t want to leave it was such an enriching experience for both my husband and I.

We have been to the keys many times and for some reason never visited here. We LOVED IT! Man those dolphins are cool. RANGER WAS THE SWEETEST!! All the staff were very friendly and helpful too. We had a great time.

Very Disappointing Experience! We drove over 3 hours from and back to Miami on the same day of our flight, excited to give our kids what we thought would be an unforgettable, magical dolphin experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the exact opposite. We booked the Dolphin Splash session and paid $450 for three people, since adults are required to be in the water with their child — you can’t simply watch from the deck. The session was supposed to last 20 minutes, but we soon realized that two other families were part of the same session. It was not private as we expected. You’re also not allowed to bring your phone or camera near the deck, so the only photos you can get are taken by their photographer at $20 per picture — another disappointment. But the real issue was the condition of the water. It was extremely dirty and murky, with a terrible smell. You couldn’t see anything below the surface — only the parts of your body and the dolphins that were above the water. It felt completely unsanitary, but since the tickets were non-refundable, we had no choice but to continue. We ended up sharing the 20-minute session with the other families, taking brief turns interacting with the dolphins in this unpleasant environment. Overall, this was a huge disappointment — a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. Update, This is and update to Reply on your response , Thanks for the reply but regarding that your team is there to help making choices, we did ask on the front desk if each of us will have his own 20minute session or all three of us will be in the same session together because after all it is 3 tickets and they said that we will be together in the same session and didn’t mention that other families will be there too!! About the deck being cleaned.. absolutely no!! The stairs we were so slippery that one lady from the other family slipped on her way down and they caught her even my kid slipped on his way down it looked like it haven’t been scrapped in years!! The trainer her self suggested to just sit down on the deck and jump in water instead of using the stairs!! I understand that water is part of the ecosystem but the minimum amount of maintenance and cleaning is supposed to take place for the sake of guests’ and Dolphins’ safety as well. Before the session they brought a broom and tried to scrap some of the algae off the stairs and the underwater deck but it was so much that they couldn’t.. about the photographer if it was for the safety of guests and dolphins then it should be included in the package not to be sold by picture !! Also no one told us it was for a separate fee until we asked !!

The dolphin research center was an really great and worth experience. A lot of rescue animals and an awesome crew. Main focus is to take care of the animals. The staff is awesome as well. We got a lot to see during the hourly activities which are free to join, like an „How is the life as an trainer for dolphins, etc.

One of the highlights of our trip to the Keys. We considered swimming with the Dolphins but chose the Meet option instead. Very happy with our choice as got to spend plenty of time interacting with the dolphins and chatting with the trainers. We all got our own turn and I think we had more than our money's worth!

What a cool experience. My niece did the dolphin encounter experience and she had a blast. She touched and swam with the dolphins. The dolphins are such cute creatures and they are just so adorable. They did a ton of tricks. Would highly recommend to kids or adults.

Amazing aquarium & a must see attraction of Marathon, FL. We initially started a self guided tour around their facilities were we were fascinated by the size and vast amounts of different species of marine life that they had. Then we did the snorkeling with the fishes and feeding the sharks experience. Those two experiences by far were our families favorite. It definitely beats snorkeling in the ocean as the fish were more use to people and literally were able to hand feed them. From the front entrance to the back of the aquarium we had a blast. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing aquarium if you value interactivity and information first when picking a spot. There are three all day touch activities (manta rays, isopod/crab, starfish/horseshoe crab/sea urchin). You can buy food, pay to have a specific encounter, and watch scheduled feedings. There is a free guided tour that took half an hour or twenty minutes that was awesome to get a feel for what to do at the place. It was raining when we visited and it was honestly fine since if you want to interact you have to get wet anyways. Each main area is shaded so you only get rain walking in between. We love nurse sharks and so that was the activity we paid for. Lily was an awesome guide and there is a camera so you can remember each person's encounter that takes a picture of each stage of the activity for each person participating, if you get all the photos. I paid 15$ for it and I think it was worth it since I remember better with a photo. The only thing I wish for is a second round because I had such a fun time! Very affordable compared to the other nurse sharks encounters in the area and extremely focused on safety. I would trust a kid to be safe in that interaction.

We loved our time here even as two adults, no kids. I do highly recommend purchasing an “encounter” or some experience to make it more enjoyable - we went with the cheaper option of getting a feed pass for 6 cups of food to feed different animals and loved feeding the stingrays!

It was an awesome encounter to see all the sea life there! They have plenty of stingrays that are more than friendly and swim up to you to pet them. There was a nurse shark demonstration too! You have plenty of opportunity to feed sea life there! A little pricey, but I get it! Great experience!

Every time I come here it is the highlight of my day. Feeding sting rays.. It was amazing. You guys made my day!! Staffing was great. Very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around!!!

Great aquarium where you really get to experience the animals up close. I've never been to one quite like it. There are so many touch tanks and feeding experiences included in admission.

We loved this place. Lots of feeding opportunities, a variety of wildlife and great displays! We'll likely go back when we return to the area! Our grandson loved it too!

Very nice park with a beach and kayaks/paddle board rentals available. The sand bar is relatively close where all the boats and PWCs stop and you can easily swim to kayak there. The island across from the park is super nice as well with a bunch of palm trees and coconuts.

They do charge by person and not by car. This park is on the smaller side, but they do have bathroom, one shelter and swings. They beach area I wouldn’t recommend for families with kids as it was hard to go up and down for the dune area. The view was beautiful and we saw a few crabs. Compared to other parks I would recommend for kayaking or to walk in the trails. But not for a beach day.

Almost 5 star review if they had full hookup. Enjoyed our stay riding bicycles, beach, watching wind surfers, very well maintained central shower facilities, would stay again. Warning the ants are incessant, first park in 2 years invaded our rv after every rain, which was frequent. No see ums bring your bug spray. Love the foliage between most all rv lots, privacy one of best parks we’ve stayed!!!!

Very quiet and a nice retreat from the busy city work life. Park is well-maintained and very clean. Camp grounds are by reservation and gate code is necessary to enter and exit. RVs and tent campers welcomed.

Such an amazing place to relax and refresh. We were fortunate to be there during Hawk Watch 2025 and learned a load of information about migrating raptors.

This park is wonderful to camp in. Well spaced camp sites, clean facilities and a nice beach to relax at. It is really nice for day use as well. Marathon is one of my favorite keys and is easy to explore by bike from this park. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. W

Great place to spend a few nights with adventuring. AMAZING BATH AND SHOWER. NO swimming due to quick sand marsh shallow water and crocodilians but the fire pit by beach area begs for a group of friends to indulge.

Absolutely stunning view. Took my family there for sunset. Little advice, if you plan on doing the entire 4 miles round trip to pigeon key, take a bike or ebike.

Walked my dogs there for the sunset. It wasn’t too crowded. Although there really wasn’t any parking left. I think you can park across the street and walk under the bridge. The sunset was a miss that day but definitely worth it and worth going back. Beautiful views of the water and boats as well.

Catching the sunset from 7 Mile Bridge is a must — absolutely stunning! Just be prepared for lots of bugs once the sun goes down. I didn’t walk it because it was way too hot, but the view alone was worth the stop.

Must stop if you're driving in either direction.. Beautiful spot, park your car for free and head towards the old seven mile bridge which is not operational for traffic but open to walking, cycling etc. Try to be there at sunset and you won't be disappointed. You can also go down the ramp if you want to be closer to the water. This spot alone is worth all the driving around Keys. Note - Mosquitos/ insects are a lot around the sunset time.

The best part of route #1 in my mind, actually much better sea view compared to key west. Highly recommend the short trail that passes under the bridges.

The Seven Mile Bridge spans between Knight’s Key (Marathon area) and Little Duck Key in the Florida Keys, forming a famous stretch of the Overseas Highway (U.S. 1). The Vista Point, often refers to the pedestrian-friendly old bridge (sometimes called the Old Seven) which is ~2.2 miles of the historic bridge reopened in 2022 after restoration. This portion runs from Marathon toward Pigeon Key, with good vantage points. From the bridge you get expansive panoramic views of both the Atlantic and Gulf-side waters. Turquoise, teal, navy blues depending on depth and sunlight. Dramatic sky light: sunrises and sunsets are particularly striking, with reflections in calm water plus silhouette effects from the bridge structure. Marine life is visible under or around the bridge: sea turtles, rays, fish, sometimes dolphins. The water clarity helps for spotting life below. Birdwatching possibilities, especially for seabirds and shorebirds that use the bridge and nearby mangroves.

The air museum is a great experience if you are interested in flying, flight history, and experimental aircraft. Guide was super knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have, he is a pilot too.It is worth to visit.

won’t need to spend hours and hours here, but it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for something unique to do, I highly recommend checking out the Marathon Air Museum. You might be surprised at just how much you enjoy it!

Headed to the Southern most chapter of the EAA. We experienced one of the most exciting Young Eagles flight yet. It was a beautiful and incredible flying adventure and exciting to hear this chapter flew over 110 Young Eagle Pilots! What a great opportunity for aviation enthusiasts and kids with a curiousity for flight!

This place was great! Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed looking at the collection of pictures from the past.

A must to stop in and visit along your drive through the Keys. If you or your kid are aviation geeks, then it's an absolute must. One on one opportunity to speak to experts. Touch and feel. Read from some great historical logs. Learn about flying small planes. Watch them take off and land for as long as you want.

I can't give it more than a 3 because they were Closed and that's all I could see thru the door window & the fence. This page said it was Open 10-16 Tuesday (I was there@1000 and again 1230,25Jan2022)

The fish pedicure here is really cool. My wife wanted to come just for it and we spent almost an hour just having the fish go at it on our feet. Definitely a unique experience. Also got to see a Bald Eagle up close and personal. That was super neat as well. Lots of other animals that they are trying to help out. Lots of interesting plants as well. Highly recommended for a family friendly activity.

It's difficult to describe this place adequately. It has such a variety of different things to see that it has to have grown organically. It's a mangrove swamp with lots of walking paths that also contains a Frank Lloyd Wright House, an old Bahamian House that's apparently the second oldest house in the keys, and recreation of an old Florida cabin. They also have random sculptures, a bird sanctuary, two random tortoises, a butterfly garden, a museum about the keys and a lot of other stuff. Well worth a stop and take time to explore.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon exploring the Crane Point nature area … we were bummed because our snorkel trip was cancelled due to wind/weather! But, we learned so much about the “hammock” nature system of the Keys! The nature trail takes you through about 1-1/2 miles of mangroves, it’s mostly crushed rock trails, so wear decent walking shoes. “The Point” takes you to the bayside of the key, and there are several points to stop and enjoy the water and aquatic life! Plenty of benches to rest along the way! The Crane and Adderly houses on site are historic. Fun place to stop and put your feet in the water to let the small fish give you a pedicure! Nice bird rescue/sanctuary area by the main office, resident bald eagle Rita is a beautiful bird! Well worth a couple of hours to walk through and enjoy nature!

Visiting the area and we went on the kayak/snorkel adventure. It was amazing! We went in November so very few people out on the water. There is so much to this site! We hopped around islands and saw so many fish and birds. Once done we toured the site and saw the many different layers of history and all the amazing work done for the injured birds. Definitely do the fish pedicure! And take the Bahama trail, it really gave a sense of what it would have felt like back in the day just walking around every day. Highly recommend visiting and seeing everything and supporting!

Beautiful, But Not Magical You come to a place like this hoping to be moved — by history, stunning views, or the quiet peace of nature. While Crain Point is undoubtedly beautiful, it doesn’t quite deliver the magic. The butterfly garden was underwhelming, with little variety. The raw honey, though advertised as local, is not made on-site — it’s produced elsewhere using plants from the property. The fish pedicure pond is more of a lagoon, home to a mix of wildlife (yes, snakes included). The trails were difficult to enjoy due to spiderwebs and swarms of mosquitoes — I only managed one. On the bright side, the grounds are expansive, and the views are lovely — especially if you’re simply looking for a quiet stroll. Is it worth a visit? Only if you have time to spare during your vacation. Pro tip: If you go in the summer, come prepared. Bring water, mosquito repellent, and plenty of sunscreen — the heat is no joke.

The Crane house is really cool. History for all to enjoy, drop your feet in the small lake and let the little fish nibble away with the fish pedicure, sounds weird, it is..totally worth it? Absolutely. The views are great and seat is abundant, just relax and hang out a while.

This place is a great place to visit. There are easy walking trails to see all the sights. We didn’t do it but there is a narrated tour that other visitors said was really good. Highlight was meeting “Rita” the YouTube famous bald eagle! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

So much fun!!! We did 2 sessions on the Rum Runner and it was an absolute blast! We are local and will definitely be coming back!

Our party of 6 adults had a wonderful time at the park. The water park was so much fun. Staff is super friendly. Make sure you walk over to the restaurant for some amazing food and drinks. We will definitely be back.

I learned to wakeboard here, and with Topher's guidance, I was able to hit the ramps after just 3 sessions! Topher is a great instructor and the wake park is so fun. They offer great lunch, a ton of great beers on draft and a cute shop. 10/10!

What an absolute blast! If you have never been to a cable park, you have to try it out. WAY easier than behind a boat. This one is in a deep saltwater lake that was a rock quarry at some point. The cable runs one direction then reverses while you make the turn. I haven't been on a wakeboard in at least 2 years and was able to pull it off no problem (most of the time). There are jumps and rails if you dare. Staff here was great and the property is setup pretty nice. Outdoor shower to wash the salt off, bar with cafe style food. Had a cold beer while drying off in the warm winter sun. This place was a home run.

Actual waterpark activity is fun but boy did the guy working at the front desk ruin our vibe. So unpleasant and unhelpful, makes you not want to spend your money at the store! Bartenders and food section was lovely and kids had fun on the bounce park but man that kid needs a lesson in customer service! Not very keys-friendly.

Been wakeboarding here with my 10 year old for quite some time now. They have a nice bar and good food, The cable park is a little small but fun. Staff is always amazing and helpful, There is plenty to do for kids besides the cable park, there's a beginner side and a more advanced side with ramps, bunks and more, good place to start out or practice some jumps and tricks highly recommend

Our server Ray was the best. He kept us entertained and made great suggestions. He was so attentive to my dietary needs and picked up on them immediately which made our dining experience better.

By the number of persons eating there, you can tell is a great stop on your way Key West. We get there around 4pm, therefore, wasn't hard to get a table. We were seated near the water, so, naturally, leftovers went to the fish. Everything was tasty, in good portions, moderate price. The waitress was very friendly and we didn't wait to long for the food. Enjoy!

Had a great dinner with my family. The customer service was kick ass and the facility is super cool with lots of local decorations. If you get a seat on the water you get to watch the fish. The facility was very clean but parking can be tricky to get so be patience. Now to the food - it is awesome on our visit, the drinks we just right and the key lime pies were both delicious. My pan-seared mahi mahi was spot on. The French fries were some of the best I had! Nice job to the workers and establishment!

Rasta was the best server we have had in the Keys!! He made our lunch so fun. From pointing out rays, sharks, and fish in the water, to giving us his local recommendations. He went above and beyond for my husband and I! Also, that key lime colada is the best I’ve ever had! Thank you so much to the entire staff for being amazing. We both work in the service industry, and it was so refreshing to see everyone there helping each other & laughing together at the same time. I can’t say enough good thing about this place!! We will be back!

Great place to stop for lunch on a drive down the keys. Great views, and you can see what kind of luck the charters had a they return to the dock. Their conch fritters and smoked fish dip were among the best.

I have mixed reviews for Island Fish. We came in the afternoon for a drink and appetizer and after being seated, we waited 15 minutes for a server and eventually got up and left and went somewhere else. We came back the next night for dinner and things went much better. The ocean view here is spectacular. We love shrimp ceviche and theirs was fresh and delicious with the added touch of fresh tomato. For entrees my wife had the fried black grouper and I had the whole fried snapper. Both were delicious and fresh. Now the bad news. We had the worst and I mean BAD Key Lime Pie I’ve ever tasted. It was just scrambled eggs and clearly burned on top. I was shocked they served it. Do Not order the Key Lime Pie here!

We got there a little bit before the dinner rush. So we did not have to wait to get a table for 6 people. The waiter was super nice and understanding. Half of our party got drinks and they were delicious. Now to the food. Everything was amazing. The food was super fresh and delicious. If you need to wait for a table it is totally worth it.

Very secluded beach on the south side (Atlantic) side of Marathon fairly close to the bridge going to Islamorada. A great place to put in a kayak etc since there is a very short walk to the water. The water was very shallow and had no observable wave action the day we were there. Approximately 20 parking spaces which are free including a shower and small restroom facility. Careful as many dog owners use this beach as a bombing range.

The beach is nice and clean. Shallow water and for getting some sun it's amazing. One star less for the limited parking options

There are not many beaches in the Florida Keys. I gave this one 4 stars because if you are there during high tide, there really isn't a beach. Try to go there during low tide. The beach is dog friendly. It has restrooms and a foot and full shower. There are so many crabs to see by the trees and on the beach.

This is a nice beautiful beach as part of Marathon city in the keys with free parking access. The beach is almost one mile long total and is made out very nice white powder sand when I was there was absolutely no seaweed in the water : that is because the wind was from the north for the past couple of days. While I was there Greg from Beach Raker: was there with its machine to remove all of the residual seaweed‘s on the beach, and he is doing that three times a week approximately. The beach is Dog friendly! The place is really clean there is approximately 20 parking spaces it is open from sunrise to Sunset and there is two very clean toilets ( with paper) with disabilities compliance, and one external shower plus one covered picnic area with three tables! Also the beach is composed of a very nice widely spread Hammock type vegetation with lots of shade to be naturally found : no need to bring any parasol in there. In all for me this was the perfect beach experience in the keys! If I could I would be here every day of the winter! Boat my wife and I are doing kite serve and this is one of the greatest spot if not the greatest spot in the keys to start a kite by a south component wind! I highly advise people to come and spend the day here!

Here you will find the perfect place to spend a wonderful time with us, the Doggos. Don't complain about sargassum and its particular smell, it's part of nature. If you see glass, or trash, you can do something about it, one at a time, it's always a good day to do something for Mother Nature. There are some old benches put up by the locals, please do not move them, they can break, respect the harmony of the place as it is. You can see some varieties of birds, on one occasion my human and I saw manatees from the shore, the vegetation is wonderful, you will see all kinds of snails and sea shells. The water is sometimes crystal clear, sometimes not, it all depends on the weather, the only thing you need is to have a good attitude to enjoy this peaceful place. Always remember: Beauty is always present, in the right eyes. If you get here, take care of Coco Plum Beach, because this place has a unique essence. “For us, a day here restores our soul, walking on the beach is never a waste of time, Coco Plum Beach is not a place, it is a feeling, it is the definitive cure for a bad day, and to recharge you with positive energy . The view is is great. There is a great view of the water and 7 mile bridge. The Sun sets on the other side of the bridge, but you can see it from the balcony or poolside. The food here is decent. Many seafood options including sushi. The specialty drinks are very expensive so pay attention to what you are ordering even if you don't get the special cups that go with it. The poolside seating was not shaded when we were there. The pool can vary from all adults to all children. If you don't have kids in the pool I would not sit directly next to the pool.

This bar was a neat place to stop for lunch. My husband said the Cuban sandwich was good and his Landshark was nice and cold. I had a Chicken Philly and it was good although I am not a fan of batter coated fries. The Tiki Hut was very cool with drink signage attached to the hut which I had never seen done before. They even have a swimming pool located at the back of the restaurant so you can sip your favorite cocktail and stay cool sitting by the pool. Prices were pretty typical of the island and our waitress was very attentive but not overly intrusive. I think it would be a fun place for a drink at sunset but I imagine it gets pretty busy as the sun sets each day

We ate here twice this week during our stay. We went for happy hour Sunday. The music was a nice touch. The food was good. Our waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered. We went for breakfast another day and that waitress was much better and very responsive. The breakfast foods were great. You can’t beat the views, especially at sunset!

There was about a 40-minute wait, but we noticed open seats at the bar and sat there right away. We arrived around 7:30 PM. We looked through the menu and ordered directly from the bartender. We also asked for some water. All the food came out at once. The ribs were absolutely delicious, and the mac and cheese was amazing too — the portions were very generous! The tuna nachos were also pretty good. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn’t our favorite. We tried the Key West Roll and the Rainbow Roll. The rice was quite bland, and the fish on the Rainbow Roll was sliced so thin it was almost transparent. The Key West Roll had a very mayonnaise-heavy sauce, which just wasn’t to our taste, so we ended up pushing it aside. Overall though, it was a very positive experience — beautiful sunset, good vibes, great food (just wouldn’t recommend the sushi). 😊

This is a cool place in a great location. The menu has many options. Our server appeared to be somewhat new as he was not confident in answering questions about menu items and special requests. Service was a bit slow from seating through the meal. I had a burger on a pretzel bun. The burger and toppings were good, but the bun was very dry and hard. They don't toast it or anything, just served old out of the bag or seemed. My wife had a rueben and it was great.

The sunset is the attraction. Beautiful! The food is good, but the sunset is why you need to come here. It's in the name. Come here for a good meal... at sunset!

The setting had potential, but overall, the experience felt a bit too touristy for my taste. The tacos were underseasoned, and the place was quite crowded, making it hard to find a good seat with a view of the water. While the cocktails were visually appealing, the taste didn’t quite match the presentation. Even when we did manage to get a table by the water, the view was mostly obstructed by docked boats — not quite the scenic vibe we were hoping for. That said, we did enjoy spotting ducks and fish near the water, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

I've come here since 2009, and this is one of my favorites seafood restaurants in Marathon. I was disappointed with the foods. Went here for stone crab but it wasn't in season. So sad. Cashier seem like brand new, slow and weak. The conch chowder was fishy. I didn't like it. Boneless chicken wing also not good. Skinny fried calamari. The oyster crackers were chewy and smelly. This place was at the top of my list but I'm not going back. Price and quality left me disappointed.

We stopped at Keys Fisheries on our way to Key West after seeing it recommended in several videos and I was excited to try the famous lobster Reuben. My girlfriend and I both ordered it, and while the lobster itself was really tasty, the sauerkraut (or whatever it was inside) just had a flavor that neither of us really enjoyed. That said, the calamari rings we had beforehand were absolutely delicious, and the setting was awesome — we sat right by the water with tarpon jumping out and even some nurse sharks resting in the shade. Overall it was a really cool experience, even if the Reuben wasn’t my personal favorite.

What an experience. Keys Fisheries is everything you hope for in a true Florida Keys experience. The food is grilled to perfection — the Mix Grill (lobster, scallops, shrimp, and mahi mahi) bursts with flavor in every bite. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially from the second-floor bar, which offers the best vantage point for sunset. Every evening, they raise a glass and make a sunset toast — a charming ritual that captures the laid-back spirit of this place. A must-visit for fresh seafood, stunning scenery, and that unmistakable island vibe.

Went with my family and two dogs. Place is dog friendly and kid friendly. My family had the crab &spinach dip, fried calamari, tuna, Poké bowl, lobster bisque, chicken sandwich, grouper Reuben, and hogfish francaise Food was delish and the fries were perfect cut and crunch. Only wish we had more crab and spinach dip since the chip to dip ratio was wayyy big Sodas were refillable One single stall bathroom on site though and another in the parking lot. Went around 4pm on Monday and not too busy

This is our fourth trip to the Keys and hands down the best seafood meal I've eaten. The atmosphere is so fun. We were there after dark so you could see the huge tarpon and nurse sharks in the marina. We had the paella and it was 10/10!!! My 13 year old said it was one of the best things he'd ever eaten. We also had the crab and artichoke dip and key lime pie. All were excellent.

It’s the coolest thing when you just drove, then turned right and found yourself in a very simple but very tasty place 👌❤️ $35 paella with whole lobster, mussels and the freshest scalops! That’s cool!

We visit Marathon every August and the trip is not complete until we buy a piece of original art from Shady Palm! Best local artwork!

So so happy we stumbled upon this place! From cute gifts for kids to gorgeous hand painted canvases, this was a fun spot to visit. They had options in every price range. The woman who was working there was absolutely a sweetheart, she had so many nice things to say about the place, and although she said she was new there, she was very knowledgeable about the artwork and we throughly enjoyed our experience. Purchased a few gifts for our kids to take back home, and found out they shop the artwork for you if you can’t take it home with you on the plane. Recommend this local shop!

Everyone very nice. Lovely items there. Decided on a nice one and brought it back to our motorhome with us. Nice too just stop look too. No pressure from employees. Two cute dogs. We were in the area in vacation and stopped in to ask about custom framing for a painting I made for my husband for Valentine's day. Not only did we get a super cool lobster trap frame, the framing was done quickly while we waited and at a great price! Beautiful local artwork here also. Definitely stop in!

Lazy Days South was an excellent choice for a nicer meal in the Keys. The crab-stuffed snapper with key lime butter was absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and a generous portion that could easily be shared. The burger was juicy, and the fries were perfectly crisp. I also appreciated that they offer half carafes of wine, which was a great touch. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with high-quality food that was well worth the slightly higher price. They had a cool catch and cook option I’d recommend to anyone! Till next time!

1-Star Review: Lazy Days – The Worst Meal I've Had in the Keys and we come down 4 times a year since 1985. I tried this place out because of a YouTuber review. The only redeeming part of our visit to Lazy Days was the appetizer: the calamari was outstanding. It had a subtle sweetness and was the most tender I've ever tried—truly the highlight of the entire experience. Everything else was a complete disappointment, starting with the salad. The tomato was rock-hard and unripe, so crunchy that I had to pick it out entirely. I let that slide without complaining, but the main course—the fried seafood platter—was inexcusable. The platter included catch of the day (Mahi Mahi), scallops, clam strips, conch, shrimp, oysters, and more calamari. Here's the breakdown: • Scallops: They had a strong off taste. When I peeled back the breading, each "scallop" was a uniform quarter-sized, quarter-inch-thick disc with no sign it had ever been attached to a shell. I pointed this out to the server, who argued with me. The manager (who boasted about his 10 years on the job) joined in, insisting scallops don't come from shells. After a 10-minute debate, he returned with a quart bucket filled with identical frozen discs—proof they were using cheap, processed substitutes, not real scallops. • Conch: The menu promised "conch," but what arrived was a dense, over-fried ball more like a bad hushpuppy than cracked conch. It was dry, flavorless, and indistinguishable from filler—worse than a McDonald's hashbrown. • Mahi Mahi: Tasted like generic frozen fish from Aldi. The manager openly admitted nothing on the plate was fresh except the fish itself—and even that was nothing special. • Shrimp: Fine, but ordinary. No complaints, but certainly nothing to rave about. • Clam strips and oysters: Bland and forgettable, lost in the mediocrity. The staff's defensiveness turned a bad meal into a frustrating ordeal. For a restaurant in the Keys, where fresh seafood should be the standard, Lazy Days serves frozen, misrepresented junk while arguing with customers who call it out. Avoid this place—it's an insult to anyone who appreciates real coastal dining. I would like to add that the manager was nice enough to remove my order from the bill, but this place needs to improve immensely.

We dined here after being rudely treated at Castaway and left. We were pleased with the service, food and atmosphere at LD. We were seated inside with a beautiful view of the water at sunset. Our waiter Robinson was so nice and accommodating. We brought our own catch and he made suggestions for preparation for our grouper & lobster tails. It was lazy days style & Parmesan crusted. The presentation was amazing and it was delicious & perfectly cooked. Our entries included conch chowder & side dish. That chowder was good too. The prices were very reasonable and we will surely be back again. Thanks so much LD!

Kind of surprised this place was so empty but it is the off-season after all. We came here with a sack full of fish after our charter captain recommended it. Our waiter, Adonis (no relation to the Greek god) was prompt, friendly, and very inviting. We had our yellowtail snapper fixed two ways: lazy style and super lazy style. It was fantastic. The seafood bisque was fantastic. The asparagus was well-cooked and the bearnaise sauce on it was flavorful. In short, the service was great, the food was great, the value was excellent. Definitely worth checking out.

The meals were all delicious. Great water view. A little short on the service staff, tis' the off season. A wonderfull water side location. Wasted no time getting to the meals, yummy.

The food was absolutely fantastic!!!!!! every dish was delicious and made the whole experience great! This was our second time out with Two Conchs, and once again we had an incredible experience. We went with Captain Mike Bradley, and it’s clear he’s highly experienced and passionate about what he does. He genuinely cares about making sure you have a great trip. When the fish weren’t biting, he didn’t hesitate to move us to a new spot — and he was right on target. In fact, he found the fish about an hour before another boat that had been following us. We caught fish, had a great time, and appreciated his knowledge and effort to make the day a success. We would highly recommend Captain Mike and Two Conchs to anyone looking for a memorable fishing trip!

If you’re looking for a top notch fishing charter in Marathon that’s going to put you on big game fish, look no further than Two Conchs. Captain Gemar and Captain Cletus absolutely killed it. On top of their skill and knowledge, both Captains were very easy to talk to and truly made us feel like part of the crew. We caught a ton of tuna, nice size dolphins, and a MONSTER queen snapper. To make this offshore trip even more memorable, we were on a beautiful 34’ Freeman. Can’t thank you boys enough, and looking forward to the next one!!

We had a GREAT day of fishing with Capt John Ryan on Sunday in spite of some major boat rocking due to inclement weather bringing big waves. It was my first time fishing offshore, and Capt John was extremely patient and helpful! We caught lots of yellowtail snapper, and as a bonus, hooked a nice Mahi Mahi on the way back in! Capt John was professional, knowledgeable, fun…played awesome music, and just made it a really good experience all the way around for both the wives and experienced fisherman husbands. He cleaned our fish, made recommendations for restaurants nearby to cook our catch as well as recommended someone to package/vacuum seal the remainder of the fish to take home! I would highly recommend Capt John Ryan with Two Conchs Sportsfishing for your next charter!!

Wow! What a great experience! This was my first time fishing and we hit the jackpot with 2 captains in one boat! Steve and Kim were amazing, super professional and kind, we got a lot of fish, got them cleaned and took some home! It was a good time, music, super nice and clean boat, great people, just enjoyed the day, we highly recommend!! The booking process was also great and kind, everyone was patient and so nice, we even got to buy a cooler at the end. We will be back! Thank you guys

What a blast. The crew was amazing and very accommodating. It wasn't ideal weather but they made the best out of it for us. Both boats were plenty enough room for our group and they had all the gear to help us have a good time. I absolutely recommend them.

We had the greatest time fishing today with Captain Ty Sikes!!! My wife and I caught the SLAM (Permit, Tarpon, and Bonefish) Unbelievable day and what a great company we have fished with them a few times. We will definitely be coming back with Captain Ty. I can’t say enough about how hard he worked to make this happen!!!

We had an unforgettable experience with Captain Pip’s Snorkeling and Sunset Cruise. The trip to Sombrero Reef was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral, and an abundance of sea life. Fish swam right up to us, and we were lucky enough to spot a nurse shark and a large manta ray gliding gracefully below. Captain Whitney and First Mate Trent were outstanding hosts. They were informative, patient, and especially great with families and kids. They created a fun, safe, and relaxed atmosphere that made the entire trip enjoyable for everyone on board. Unlimited soft drinks, water, and chips were available throughout the entire voyage. After snorkeling, beer and White Claw were served, followed by a champagne toast to end the day at sunset. The views across the bay were spectacular and provided a perfect backdrop to an already amazing adventure. Highly recommend this cruise if you’re visiting Marathon and looking for a fun, family-friendly experience with top-notch hospitality. Truly a highlight of our trip.

Had a wonderful time. Friendly and helpful staff. Went out to Sombrero reef. Such a beautiful place. Water clarity is amazing. Saw a spotted eagle ray, a stingray, parrot fish and lots of other amazing fish. Guides were helpful but let you do your thing. Not "hover guides" which I appreciated as I am an experienced snorkeler. Boat ride out was a little choppy but a smooth ride back, that included a free post-dive beer. Gotta love that! Thanks guys.

We rolled into Marathon without a real plan of how to spend our 2 days there. Caitlyn in the Captain Pip’s office was SO helpful & helped us figure out what we were looking for. First, we joined Captain Candace & Captain Patrick (both were AWESOME) for a sunset snorkel at Sombrero Reef (100/10) & had a great time in the water & on the boat. The next day we rented a pontoon (we had our own boating license) & went to Pip’s island. We struggled finding a place to anchor the pontoon because the water near the island was so shallow, but ended up having a great time & found some incredible shells!

My sister and I wanted to go snorkeling for my birthday, so we decided on Spirit at Captain Pip’s. We came in person the evening before to check out the place and met Candace, who drives the boat. She was extremely kind and helpful. The following day was our excursion and again, she was kind and helpful. Her crew mate, Trenton, was sweet as could be as well. They were both full of information, they were helpful with all the do’s and don’t, and watched over the snorkelers very well. If you want a good experience on the water, go with Captain Pip’s and hopefully you’ll get Candace and Trenton too.

My family had a brilliant time snorkelling this morning. Patrick and Corey were brilliant and took care of us really well. My son especially was nervous to get in the water, but Patrick helped him feel much more comfortable- they fed the fish first and then with Patrick’s encouragement my son was able to snorkel and really enjoyed it! The current was quite strong, so intimidating for first time snorkellers, but the crew put out extra tow lines and made sure we were safe throughout. I’d totally recommend Spirit Snorkelling 👍

Had one of the best excursions I have ever had. Candace and tanner were awesome guides, so knowledgeable and great humor! The reef was absolutely beautiful, definitely recommend using captain pips when in marathon!!

We arrived at around 6pm without reservations and were seated right away. Front desk host was not friendly at all but our server was great and overall service was great. We weren’t happy with one of our sushi rolls and the manager came over and very graciously removed it from our bill. The food was very good, the fish in the sushi rolls was very good quality and fresh. My seafood pasta dish was absolutely delicious. Overall the food was great but honestly overpriced. The ambiance is very casual giving dive bar viives and parking can be challenging.

Castaway Waterfront Restaurant is an absolute gem! We stopped in for dinner and ended up having a very memorable evening. The menu has incredible variety—everything from fresh sushi and poke to steak, fish tacos, and even the option to bring in your own catch for them to cook in any of their signature styles. We were a little bummed they were out of lionfish that night, but everything we ordered was delicious anyway. The fish was super fresh, cocktails were spot-on, and portions were generous. The crab queso dip, lumpia, and tuna salad are a must. What really took the experience over the top was the outdoor seating right on the water. We timed it perfectly for sunset—the views were stunning—and while we were eating, a manatee came right up to the dock to drink from the freshwater spigot! There were three that kept swimming around; it felt like our own private wildlife show. Our server was fantastic: attentive without hovering, full of great recommendations, and clearly passionate about the food and the local ecosystem. Service was quick even thought the place was busy. Castaway checks every box: delicious food, creative menu, good drinks, unbeatable waterfront location, and that laid-back Keys vibe. We’ll be back next time we’re anywhere near the area—highly recommend grabbing a table outside and staying for the sunset (and hopefully the manatees!).

We visited with a large group a few days ago and it did not disappoint! Our waiter introduced a trainee and they were both very helpful and prompt. She caught on fast and the food was over the top! The drinks were stiff as well! Grab a t shirt at the gift shop across the street and watch the Manatees put on a show! DEFINITELY WILL be back! Thanks guys!

This was a very pleasant experience. Started out with the King of the Jungle roll, featuring the evasive lion fish, outstanding. The spicy conch salad and the wahoo roll finished off an absolutely delicious meal. Highly recommend 👌

Castaway is a popular destination for anyone traveling in the Keys. They offer a huge menu of seafood items and sushi rolls. They have a large draft selection and cocktails. We saw them on the Food Network advertising lionfish, and I had to try it. I ordered the lionfish sashimi and lionfish miso soup. The sashimi had little flavor, but the miso was prepared in a rich broth and tasted great. The coconut-crusted key lime pie is a must, too. The service was friendly, and I got to knock lionfish off my bucket list.

The food was amazing, we came specifically for the sushi, and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server, Leilane, was absolutely wonderful! friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely ask to sit in her section if you can!

Came in for a family dinner while on a mini vacation. Our server was super nice and attentive. Parking can be a little tricky . If you get lucky and sit outside by the water you might see manatees. To start we had the crab dip and the raw oysters which both were great. Little one ate a hotdog and the oldest had tenders (which he didn’t like) For main we had the salmon which was good and the grilled snapper which was lacking a seasoning. Being in a similar restaurant a day before I can’t say I would recommend this spot.

The customer service was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The breakfast food was probably the best in the keys!! The piglet, Mango Pancake Special, Biscuits and Gravy and the Pigs Breakfast!! The atmosphere was phenomenal and relaxing. The outdoor seating was amazing. You sat outside and were able to smell the Ribs from the smoker!! OMG we ABSOLUTELY loved the local place. If you're in the area this is a must stop place. Hands down one of the Best stops of the week.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends (Matt) and we were delighted we tried it. This is a small mom & pop business. They serve a delicious made to order breakfast and excellent service. We had a monte cristo, egg sandwich scram eggs & ham combo. Hot & perfectly cooked. Note: this is a cash only establishment but they do have an in house ATM machine there. As Arnold would say….”we’ll be back”! Thanks.

The Florida Keys has a vibe, and yhe tiki huts, nautical decor and turquoise paint can be tiresome after a short time. We visited The Stuffed Pig for brunch and sat under the tiki hut. Joe greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm. We enjoyed the Ultimate Bloody Mary (or two), and a variety of dishes, all of which were very good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and prices were very reasonable. So, while the Florida Keys vibe was on full display, we enjoyed our bruch immensely. We would highly recommend The Stuffed Pig when visiting Marathon and will do so when we return.

The best breakfasts around. We had the Monte Cristo, biscuits and gravy, and bloody Mary. All were great the Monte was exceptional.

Would love to give a food review but...... In 2025 they don't take cards only cash. That's why there were 2 people there this Sunday morning. You are letting 90% of possible buisness walk away due to cash only. Raise your prices 3-5% to cover the fees. Your in the keys and can get away with it. We went to the wooden spoon up the road and guess what ? They take CARDS n cash and have a small wait list to be seated. Most businesses are in buisness to make money and be as profitable as possible. As the GM of a National Park resort I can't help cringe at lost revenue and opportunity by still living in the 70's.. Best wishes and hopefully when we return cards will be accepted and the note on the front door saying cash only will be gone.

This was a great place to eat breakfast. It’s pricey just like everything else in the Keys but it was good. You get an enormous amount of food. Hubby got the boss hog plate and I got the biscuits and gravy! The gravy tasted homemade. We couldn’t eat it all! Our waitress was spicy but in a funny kinda way.

Came here twice on our visit to Florida Keys. Great outdoor (dog friendly) tiki garden , friendly, welcoming staff and excellent , hearty , delicious breakfast/brunch choices.Enjoyed the bloody Marys and margaritas . Highly recommend .

Always a great time here. Was soooo hungry and the chicken sandwich with buffalo is always my favorite. The poutine isn’t the worst but the gravy could use some work, very flour tasting and bland. Need to try and mix chicken and brown gravy for a better poutine 100% The French fries here are some of the best I’ve had. I don’t know what it is but they are soooo good. Rest of the family had the brisket and it’s always a favorite for anyone we go with. Thanks again and see you next time :)

I don't drink but the brewery is most likely what people come for. I got the chopped pork with key lime slaw and green beans . The best part of my plate was the green beans. It took a lot of salt and pepper for the pork to have flavor it also had the texture that it was pre cooked and stored in plastic tubs. My husband got a double burger with no cheese and his burger was all grease and no flavor My daughters mini slider and French fries were tasty My dad got the mahi Reuben and he said it fantastic The burnt ends, conch fritters were small portions and not worth the price. The conch fritters just tasted like onion and breading. My father in laws food was okay. My mother in law got the brisket and she approved of it I don't have a picture of the other food we got. The food was not worth the price.

Another near my motel so walked down to it. It's got a couple of doors that lead to different areas...and some outdoor style seating. Had the trifecta. Clam chowder (BIG bowl), fish and chips - 3 filets, and of course Key Lime Pie! All excellent.

If I could give this place more stars they would be a 10! Absolutely amazing service, Absolutely amazing atmosphere and absolutely amazing food! They also have great merchandise. Do not go to the keys and skip this place! Endless IPA, Draft and Cider options. I had the space dust IPA. Thee Best!

Family-Friendly Lunch with Outstanding Food & Beer Selection Visited for lunch with my family and had a wonderful experience. The seating arrangement works well - mostly bar-style seating with some traditional tables, plus a large communal table perfect for bigger groups of 4 or more. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and a mahi mahi sandwich, and every dish was excellent. The buffalo-style chicken sandwich was particularly impressive - perfectly balanced heat and flavor. What really stood out was their extensive local craft beer selection, which offered great variety and quality. This place delivers on both food and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others looking for a quality lunch spot.

We came here for dinner and had a wonderful evening all round. The two waiters were super friendly, made recommendations and told us a little about the restaurant and the area. It was a great experience for us, as we love getting a deeper insight from locals when we travel. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy, the prices were fair for the area, and the food was delicious. We had a chicken and a fish buffalo sandwich - both were great. But the rest of the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing too. We would have loved to go back again. Be sure to try the key lime pie.

I had the most amazing experience at Herbie’s Restaurant, and it’s all thanks to our incredible server, Katie! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel right at home. Her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a fantastic evening. Katie was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her attention to detail was top-notch—she checked in just the right amount without being intrusive, and she really seemed to care that we were enjoying ourselves. The food was, of course, amazing but it was Katie's service that truly made our night special. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about what they do, and her positive energy really enhanced the entire dining experience. If you’re ever at Herbie’s, make sure to ask for Katie— her eyes will captivate you as well as her amazing attitude.

Gluten free cupcakes and desserts! Also love the mint chocolate chip (oddly, the plain chocolate wasn't my favorite). They also have a shop stocked with local artists' items. We finally found cute jewelry for my niece! I was surprised at how many places down here don't have earrings for young girls! Love what we bought here!

Great variety of regular and gluten free dessert options. They also feature a coffee bar for drinks, and have a side room with ample seating if you have multiple people together. The service was friendly, the bathroom was clean (and cute, love the salt scrub option!) and the rum raisin ice cream I enjoyed was refreshing. Brought home a chocolate covered key lime and cupcake for later! Prices were fair for baked goods. They also made a note at the cash register about their pricing transparency (some items being more now post-tariffs) and I commend them at wanting to maintain an honest relationship with their customers. They clearly communicate the change in that flyer and as a customer it makes me want to support them more knowing they were mindful about taking steps to ensure they weren’t price gouging.

Ice cream is rich and creamy with a ton of great diverse flavors. Fun signage and options add some variety to the aesthetic. Key lime pie is so thick and dense and the whipped topping is fresh and flavorful. Really one of the the best pies I've had in the keys. S'mores cookie was gooey and soft with the perfect ratio of marshmallow and chocolate. Cost is reasonable against portion sizes and the little shop and seating is clean and abundant. Def a must stop in marathon.

This was our first time visiting Sweet Savannah’s, and wow—what an amazing treat! Hands down, the best ice cream in Marathon. The variety of flavors is impressive, and every one we tried was absolutely delicious 😋. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend Sweet Savannah’s to anyone looking for a sweet and satisfying experience!

Amazing!!! Many gluten free options that tasted like normal desserts and priced fair. Their gf key lime pie is the best I’ve ever had (even better than non gf)! My husband had the normal key lime pie and also said it was the best he’s ever had. We each had a cheesecake slice as well. Additionally, the shop was absolutely adorable. If you’re visiting the keys, you must stop here for ice cream, a baked treat or a cute gift or keepsake!

Husband and I stopped in here on vacation. Sweet little place with delicious desserts. We got key lime pie ice cream and key lime pie cheesecake. Both were awesome. Their whole dessert display case was a temptation. Staff was friendly. Highly recommend.

Adorable store with a separate seating area. Ice cream, baked goods, souvenirs. The key lime pie has the right amount of "tart", not too sweet like some of them. Good variety of cupcake flavors (the website lists flavors of the day, but there are more flavors available). Prices are reasonable (for the Keys).

As far as one can tell, it’s no longer publically open. Hopefully in recovery to an eventual great reopening. Someone will have to update then.

This was my place to go before Hurricane Irma. It is back, and just as beautiful... sadly, I am not... someday I will be back. A locals place to go, it is dog friendly and people friendly. Bring a chair. .😎 This place is in Ramrod Key, not Marathon.

We had an amazing time on the sunset cruise. The crew was very friendly and the boat is very well maintained. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch as well. I would highly recommend them and look forward to doing it again the next time we are in Marathon.

We had a great sailing experience with Capt. Dale & Kristin tonight aboard Catamaran Sirius! Dale was able to answer all our questions in advance over phone and assured us that sailing with an infant would be very smooth aboard his boat. The sail itself was a ton of fun, and they even pointed out dolphins floating nearby at one point which all of us aboard would have missed without Capt Dale & Kristin’s discerning eye. They offered drinks aboard and offered to take photos of us and overall were very hospitable. We would certainly book again if back in the Keys in the future.

Awesome!! Boat was great, clean and very roomy. We had at least 20 people there and there was so much room. Capt Dale and his crew were fantastic!! We just brought food that was catered at Publix and it was perfect… Best Sunset cruise in the area!!! Thank you

From the time I booked the cruise till the time my wife and I got off the cruise Dale and his crew were most accommodating and friendly. The beer and wine was cold and ship was spotless. If you are in Marathon Fl make you take this sunset cruise You will not be disappointed.

Captain Dale is a true Key’s treasure, and so is his amazing catamaran, Sirius. His mates Kaitlyn and Raava ensure the best experience possible. The crew’s experience working together really shows with their smooth sailing skills, laid back excursions and friendly communication. We absolutely adore everything about these trips and always recommend friends, family, and our own charter guests make an evening out on the water with this crew!

We had a great sunset cruise! Capt.Dale and 1st mate Jessica went over all the safety features when we first got on the boat. Everything we needed to know in an emergency. We took our own cooler and snacks. A very relaxing 2 hour sunset cruise. I would certainly recommend them!

Grassy Key os home to Dolphin View vacation rental home. It is just before Marathon, FL. Between the two islands you will find Curry Hammock State Park.

Grassy Key has so much to explore. We were lucky to be able to stay in Grassy Key, which is about 5 miles from Marathon Key.

I live there for a little over a year loved it so beautiful so peaceful I would still be there but my kids did not want to stay my grandkids all went to New York I had to give it up and come back here. I was diagnose With ALS After I got back to new york so and of my story wood recommended florida keys to anybody.

Beautiful place to stay in the Keys. The people who run the facility and those that come to spend some time are very friendly and helpful in any way needed. There are lots of places to go and things to do near by. We have stayed there twice now and really recommend it.

Avoid this overpriced tourist trap. Awful service, took over an hour for our food to arrive. The shrimp in the scampi tasted old and rubbery and I got food poisoning from the few I did eat 🤢

I loved the food! We had brussel sprouts with a curry sauce as an appetizer and they served complimentary warm buns with butter. It was so yummy! My starter salad was delicious along with the fish. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back when in Marathon.

I can't believe it's taken so long try this place. WoW..! The food, service and white table dining were excellent. The Yellow Tail Snapper is a must try. Tell them you want the mashed potatoes with it :)

My sweetie and I came in for dinner, and were very happy with our experience. The steak and seafood entrees were very tempting, but we opted to get a handful of appetizers to share. The yellow curry Brussel sprouts were great. We also enjoyed the cranny tomato soup, warm brie, and spicy calamari and shrimp. The wine and beer list had plenty to choose from. We were also given a basket of warm bread and butter. The atmosphere was very clean and comfortable, and the walls displayed a good collection of barracuda themed artwork. There is a covered outdoor dining area too. We'll be back!

Very clean! Major plus quaint little place. People were friendly. Really had low expectations from the road and high expectations after walking in. Neither were correct. Prices were higher than expected and well described by menu. Presentation of food was really nice. I got the rib-eye which was a real letdown! My sone got shrimp fettuccine and my wife had a bowl of tomato soup and pork potstickers. She loved her soup and potstickers and my son said his plate was mediocre at best. Not quite sure how I missed the picture of the ribeye.

Been here a couple of times now and I’ll start with the good. The Shrimp Scampi is probably the best I’ve ever had. Full of flavor, brimming with plenty of garlic and a touch of tomato sauce that creates a nicely balanced scampi. They load it with shrimp and serve it on perfectly prepared Al Dente linguine. The Jumbo Scallops and Pesto Pasta is also very good with a rich nuttiness that is full of garlic and textures that make it stand out amongst Pesto’s I’ve tasted. The dish comes with 4 monster scallops that are pan seared to perfection. The kids cheeseburger is quite large and absolutely delicious, prepared medium and very well portioned with homemade fries that look like chubby corkscrews. Now for the bad - the 14oz Ribeye was not very good. For $37 I expected the steak to be of better quality. The meat was not tender. It tasted like it had been frozen and possibly a little freezer burned. So this is definitely a place that is worth checking out, but I would stick to the seafood dishes which they have a few options to select from and their menu seems to change periodically which is great for variety. The service is good, complete with white linens and candlelight that gives it a nice ambiance. They don’t take reservations so Olán accordingly as they can get busy on popular nights.

If you haven't made this a regular go to for reasonably priced excellent food you are really missing out! The place is bright, clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is fantastic!! We were in Marathon for 7 days, and we ate here 6 times!! We had Brunch on Sunday, Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. My wife and I both ordered the same items twice for dinner, it really is that good! The conch salad in the plantain cups is really to die for...Never saw that presentation before and it was excellent! The salads are crisp and fresh, the fish is fresh and excellently prepared, and that coupled with the friendly service we received from Barbie makes this a go to! Highly Recommend!!

Had breakfast and dinner here, and both meals were delicious. Got a crab cake benedict for breakfast--yum! Shared some potatoes with a chicken friend, which was very fun. For dinner got a special of a blackened FL lobster tale, Mahi, and shrimp plate. DELICIOUS. Wish we'd discovered this place sooner! Service was also very good and the patio was a wonderful place to enjoy your meals. Will be at the top of our list when we return.

What a gem! The food was AMAZING probably one of the best meals we had in Marathon . We decided to try something different and Brutus did not disappoint. The outside patio is so cute and not hot at all. The fans circulate and keep the area so much cooler than any other patio restaurant I have been to. Our server was awesome, can’t remember her name and the owner Alex came out to say hi and chat. Just an all around great place. Do not skip this restaurant because it’s not on the water. The food is so good! You will not be disappointed… Will definitely be back,

Omg! Best fresh fish in the keys by far! So delicious and well made. Also even if food would not be great I would come back because of the amazing server we had, such a sweet nice and clean server, had a lot of patience and recommended us nice dishes. I def will drive down to the keys only to eat at this place! I’m in love with the food and service we had.

Best breakfast we had while at the islands. Electricity went out because of storm & they still created great dishes. (Gas stove) very polite, very fast! Overall great place.

Surprised by this little restaurant! The food was outstanding (big plate also) and the service equally so. Small indoor dining area and plenty of outdoor seating. The great food and service make this place shine! Hope to return next year.

We have eaten at Brutus’ for many years but this was the first time since new ownership took over. I ordered my usual shrimp melt, and it was nothing like the original recipe. They really need to rework the recipe because I could not see any similarity in the original Brutus recipe. I deconstructed the sandwich and it looks like artichoke with tiny pieces of shrimp. The original Brutus Shrimp Melt had whole large shrimp and not much filler. This was the worst and biggest waste of money. My husband had the Mahi Rachel which he has gotten for years, and he concurred it was nothing like the original. If you are not going to make the items the same, change the names so prior customers are not expecting the original Brutus items.

Visited twice during our stay in Marathon. Friendly attentive service. Excellent food each time. If you even remotely like green beans you will love theirs. Fried shrimp coleslaw. Everything was great. Great sweet tea.

This was a great seafood lunch spot. We had the clam chowder, the fried red shrimp basket and the fried snapper sandwich. The shrimp was cooked perfectly tender. The fried snapper sandwich was amazing. So delicate and tasty!the. Lack beans and rice were very flavorful. They had lots of specials and market items for sale that were t just seafood. There was a great selection of meats and sausages.

Nice location with great seafood. Nothing fancy, just good food and friendly people. The conch chowder was great and I had stone crab. It was really good. My wife had the grilled grouper and she said it was some of the best she had ever eaten. Key Lime pie is a must try.

One of the best hole in the wall places down in the Keys. The buffalo shrimp was phenomenal. The cheese steak was great. The bread was made fresh and the meat was also super fresh. So many great options.

The best eat out meal I’ve had in a while. The Mahi yellowfin appetizer was excellent and a good portion, the wasabi dip was excellent. The Hogfish sandwich was perfect, fries excellent and the coleslaw was light and really good. Ice tea and key lime pie was delightful. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was friendly. I can’t believe I’ve passed this place so many times and never stopped before, I’m glad I followed the Google reviews, I was specifically looking for a great Hogfish sandwich. Lots of locals going in and out giving great reviews while I chatted and ate. Thanks for a wonderful meal and experience.

This place is a hidden seafood gem. The food is excellent. Easily the best fish sandwich in Marathon. They close early so for dinner you have to be a little early. We ordered the mahi sandwich, grilled chicken on Gluten free bun, and German fish sandwich. The fries and potato salad were great. The tarter sauce was homemade and delicious. They also have a blue cheese sauce which was also excellent. It's small inside with several 2 and 4 tops. It's a nice quaint inside. There are always cars there so they must have a regular following. I really appreciated the seat pads for the wooden chairs. It's a nice touch. The fish market has a number of good options from fresh fish and crabs. Also some land options from sausages , bugers, and steaks. Overall it's an excellent place. I was a little annoyed at our waiter for being salty because I had question about the bill. All the sides are extra on the basic fish and chicken sandwiches. I missread that, but I didn't need or appreciate the attitude. Still giving good ratings because the rest of experience was good.

A relatively small place with excellent seafood and service. The key lime pie looked great, but we were filled up after eating. One of the best blackened grouper sandwiches I've had. Looking forward to returning.

The food was good. Blackened grouper was good, though 1 filet was undercooked and slimy inside. My husband's tuna nachos were OK, he loved the tuna. The outdoor seating has an awesome view, looking East, so don't go there for a sunset dinner. Our server was wonderful. We are celebrating on our honeymoon and she was happy for us.

Had a great time with my wife having a few drinks and relaxing. Very polite and friendly staff who took care of us during our visit. The drinks and food are awesome and the decor is very inviting. Facility was super clean and lots of room. Stopped in again with the whole family for a later dinner and we were not letting down but it was kind of slow and the food came fast but some of it was cold, especially the fries which were good but kind if disappointed with that. Otherwise, no other complaints. Nice job Angler and Ale.

Tried the Grouper and Snapper blackened with tropical sauce, Yucca fries and seasonal veggies which was very delicious. Our server Stephanie provided great service. She was attentive, had a wonderful attitude and a joyfulness about her. They even went out of their way to acknowledge our anniversary in such a sweet way. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Overall, good food and arrived quickly. Conch fritters were decent portion...photo was taken after I ate two of them. Lobster roll delicious and well presented.

Such a beautiful place to hang out in the evenings if you are in the Marathon area! We have been staying at Key Colony for over 20 years and I am in awe at the updates they have done to the park. It is simple yet very practical for a peaceful evening. There is a beach, dock, beautiful water and plenty of seating to watch the sunset! They have even added picnic tables and a cover tiki hut near the water.

My family and I made a pit stop to rest up before our 6hr drive home. It was very peaceful and just what we needed. The dogs got a chance to stretch their legs and burn off some energy. It was a happy addition to our trip. We'll likely keep this as a stop on our trips to Burdine's for deep-fried key lime pies and fries!

Beautiful park. The place where I married my wife. Great views looking over the Atlantic Ocean and Vaca Cut in Marathon. Plenty of seats to enjoy and a walk out observation dock as well. Bathrooms for those that need it.

A great public park for day use or to catch the sunset! So clean, bathrooms onsite. Beaches, dock/deck, lots of benches for seating/taking in the view. Love it!

This church is an absolute delight! Winding tropical gardens, water fountains, a pond, gigantic foliage plants and trellises adorn the grounds of this lovely Catholic church. We enjoyed a lovely outdoor service this morning Sunday 3/7 and strolled through the gardens after. A lot of work and thought as been put into this garden, and as a plant lover, I highly recommend a visit! Church service times can be found on the San Pablo website, do check it for current times. Highly recommended!

San Pablo Catholic church in Marathon, FL is a beautiful church with a serene prayer garden. My family and I attended Christmas Mass there and were impressed by the kind and welcoming staff. The interior of the church is well-maintained, and the stained glass windows add a peaceful ambiance. The Mass was conducted reverently and allowed for personal reflection. The homily was engaging and relevant, leaving a lasting impression on me. It really made up for missing my normal Christmas Mass back home. After Mass, we took a stroll in the prayer garden and were delighted by its tranquility. The landscaping is tasteful and creates a contemplative atmosphere. The statues and the pond add to the serenity of the garden. We were glad to see that the church grounds were well-kept and clean. The entire garden was decorated with Christmas lights that had been done very, very well and it was breathtakingly beautiful.

Everything about this church is great.!. Will visit every time we're are in the keys!

My son and I did 10, 2 tank dives over 3 days, and my wife and son did their open water certifications. We had a great time! Captain Mike, Joseph, Instructor Justin, Grumpy Old Man Bob (who is really a teddy bear), and the whole rest of the crew, were all just amazing! Big shout out to Bob and Justin who got my wife through her fears of diving and equipment malfunctions on top of it. Can't recommend them enough. From beginning divers to experienced drivers. They have the experience to go to the best spots, and keep it interesting, even over multiple days, and varying water conditions. I can't wait to come back and dive with them again.

Paid for the July 4th sunset/fireworks cruise. Great experience! Well worth the money. Captain Mike and his wife were perfect hosts, and Leslie was a top notch First Mate! Highly recommend this company. Check out all of the activities on the website. Communication was spot on.

Nice dive center right in Key Colony. Dove the Thunderbolt with my kids and a buddy. We did a charter with Admiral Bob and Dive master Mike. Great people. It was my daughter's first deep dive and they were great about it. Very safety conscious which made me feel good. Would definitely dive with them again.

My husband and I booked an afternoon snorkeling trip with deep blue diving. All of the staff displayed impeccable water sports skills, knowledge and flawless customer service. Our captain Bob, and two other staff members on board did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. When I went into the water(first time snorkeling for me) I had a hard time breathing and getting myself together to enjoy the experience. The crew were so amazing, knew exactly what to do and did everything in their power to reassure me so that I can have the best experience I could get. Only best recommendations!!

Not sure about diving or snorkeling, but sunset cruise is a scam. Guy showed up late, said he’d been sleeping before and someone woke him up to do this (it was 6:30pm). They promised wine and beer. There was corona and very cheap wine. No where comfortable to sit because it was a scuba diving boat. THEN, the boat broke down in the middle of the ocean. We watched the two guys try to fix it for an hour until they finally got it back up and running and took us back. The owner then refused to give us our money back because he claimed the service had been given - aka we received a “sunset cruise”. Even without the boat breaking down, the trip is NOT worth $75 a person, they’re scamming people. They also brought us out to a fish sanctuary where they leaked oil into the ocean where the fish were while trying to fix the boat. Just a scuba company that thought adding a “sunset cruise” to their list of services would make them a few more bucks.

NO CALL NO SHOWED US. Went in person on Saturday to ask about options. A gentleman talked us through and we decided on snorkeling. We filled out a form for 2 of us, paying for a 3rd ghost rider to hit his minimum. We agreed for 1230 for the next day, Sunday, and he said to get there around 12. We get there at 12, told all the other captains what we were there for. 12:40 rolls around and someone finally tells us that he isn't going to show up. Supposedly he told someone else it was too murky and that he'd call us but he never did. He had my phone number and email. Extremely frustrating considering we double checked everything with him and were looking forward to an afternoon out on the water. We were lucky the parasailing team was able to accommodate us so the trip to the dock wasn't a waste. Be cautious when booking. Supposedly he does this to people pretty often.

We had a great time with Z Flight. Audra was very friendly, responsive, and helpful with my calls and inquiries when booking. Howard and Houston were kind and professional and their experience really put us at ease (especially my young daughter who had never parasailed before). We had so much fun and loved the option of purchasing pictures—they were great. We really appreciated the company contacting us and bumping up our flight to avoid bad weather. We saw incredible views and had an awesome time. Thank you Z Flight!

First time parasailing in the Keys and loved it! Can’t wait to come down next year and do it again! Both Audra and Howard were extremely nice and really knew their stuff. Parasailed before in the Panhandle but Z Flights has been the best experience by far! 100% would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing flight. Smooth, peaceful and exhilarating all at the same time. Audra was amazing and took very good care of us. Very safe and the best music selection you could have! Highly recommend. The captin was amazing too and took great care of everyone.

Howard, Audra and crew were GREAT! I was a bit nervous to start with but it was such an amazing experience. Once we were up it was so calm and peaceful. The photos were great. I wish I had opted for the GoPro option. Oh well... Next time. Highly recommend it. You will LOVE it!

Captain Howard and his daughter Kenzie were amazing!!! Very welcoming and caring. They kept us updated on weather conditions and explained everything to us. This has been on our bucket list for years and we finally did it!!! Carol is 79 and I’m 59 years old. We even dipped in the water!! Can’t wait to share our photos with friends and family.

This was a wonderful first time experience Parasailing with captain Howard and Talen! We felt very safe, got a wonderful boat ride and had the most beautiful afternoon in the sky! The view over the bay bridge was incredible. Thanks again! We will be back with a full party next time!

Did parasailing today with Howard and Noah. It was amazing me and my family enjoyed every minute of it. Howard explained everything perfectly about the experience and wasn’t over priced was worth every penny. Noah help with harness and both explained everything make you safe and comfortable. Also had great jokes and made you relax If you was nervous. Which you had no need to was amazing going up and landing was smooth and got to dip your toes in water. But didn’t get wet at all. Definitely recommend getting them help you take pictures 10/10 for everything will definitely do it again. To find them head to sparky’s landing and there is pier which can find them

Highly recommend booking this tour! SpongeBob has so much passion and excitement and knowledge about the eco system. It was so interesting to learn about it. I loved being in the mangroves and liked having shade at times instead of direct sun the entire time. I am not a strong kayaker but was able to to do this tour. He was so helpful in telling me how to move the paddles. Book this now!

SpongeBob is a rare gem of a human being. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the keys, marine life and ecosystem, but he is kind and thoughtful. He communicated very well with us prior to our tour to make sure we were prepared and also provide extra insect repellant for us to use on the tour. We got to touch a jelly fish and see a pair of manatees up close and personal! Dean has a true love and passion for what he does and it shows. This is the best kayak tour in the Keys, perhaps the world. The mangroves are a true treasure. SpongeBob is a very kind and very knowledgeable guide with so much respect for the land, water, and everything that goes along with it. A million out of ten recommend!

I had the most amazing time with Spongebob on the eco kayak tour through the mangroves! He was very informative and taught me a lot about the local wildlife and mangroves! He knew a lot of good spots to kayak through mangrove tunnels it was a truly magical experience, I would definitely recommend!

Best thing I did this trip! Took a helicopter tour of Bia Honda State Park, Pigeon Key and 7 Mile Bridge under perfect blue skies. The views were amazing and you could see sharks, stingrays and other sea life in the water below. We saw sail boats and boats of all sizes roaming the waters and even saw a bar we visited but couldnt find when looking for it again earlier this week. The pilot was very friendly and the 30 minute ride went by quickly. We have been to the Keys for alot of years but the views today from the sky add a little something special to the drive through the Florida Keys.

My friends plane needed a little attention from the grounds crew and they were quick, professional, and polite. Well done!

Flew down this morning from Ohio. Ground crew handle my plane with the upmost care. It is always a pleasure to get down on the weekends. It is only a personal preference but I enjoy coming into marathon over Miami or key west.

Excellent helicopter ride

Captain Jeff was fantastic on putting us on a variety of fish and went the extra mile in showing us how it's done. He was great with the kids in answering a ton of questions, keeping us on fish, and was prepared for numerous opportunities. His boat was super clean with plenty of room for us and was very attentive in what we wanted and delivered. This was our first time in the keys and we'll certainly be back again booking Captain Jeff.

Jeff did a fantastic job for this family of four from Iowa. Our kids are teenagers and already knew they loved salt water fishing. Jeff knew right where to take us to put us on fish. Our daughter said today that she really enjoyed Jeff because she learned so much. I thought that was awesome. We caught tons of fish, and just really enjoyed our day. We had an unforgettable day on the water with Captain Jeff and his son at Catch 'Em All Fishing Charters in Marathon, Florida! From the moment we left the dock, Jeff had us on fish. Our boat was quickly filled with yellowtail snapper, which we later enjoyed for a delicious dinner. With plenty of time left in the trip, we got the chance to hook into two massive amberjacks, an absolute blast to reel in! None of us had much experience with ocean fishing, but Jeff and his son were incredibly helpful. If you're looking for a charter that knows where the fish are and how to make the day memorable, this is it. Highly recommend!

Captain Jeff and his son did an excellent job finding the fish and making sure we knew how to get them to and into the boat! They put us on several schools of Mahi and we brought home a bucket full of filets! The boat was in great condition and Jeff really knew how to handle it in some choppy seas. We would definitely book with Catch ‘Em All again!

Captain Jeff introduced our party of four to real Florida Keys fishing and showed us a great time! He knows what's biting & where to find them. After harvesting enough yellowtail & mutton snappers for a few meals, we went after bigger game (including a large barracuda & a 60-70 pound amberjack). This was surely a highlight of our Keys' trip. Thanks for the memories, Captain! Recommended in the highest terms!

This was the 4th time fishing with Captain Jeff and he put us on the fish every time. Whether you are fishing with kids or just the guys, Captain Jeff does a great job tailoring the trip to the group you bring. Looking forward to next time!

Enjoyable ride to island on the shuttle, plus the historical guided tour was added insight and value. Guide fed fish in the original bay swimming pool. Saw a student research group on site who were in bay water undergoing training. A nice afternoon detour from the typical Keys venues and tourist trap as learned about the work crews building railroad from Key West throMarathon and on into inland, living on Pigeon Key island.

Loved this little adventure- relaxing and historical! My 3 kids had fun exploring around the rocks. We saw a few stingrays! Easy and fun...not many people on Pigeon Key which I really enjoyed. It was good- nothing spectacular, but we had a good day.

Good train, good island, good history, good views, good tour.

Very hot ride in August but also very interesting

Website was confusing so went to the trolley stop in person. Prices had changed from whatever source I used (an article, not their website initially). Even in person I had a difficult time trying to figure out what I was getting for $30 per person. My travel companion opted not to pay $30 each and we came up with a new plan. We rented e-bikes from a nearby bike shop and rode the 2 mile portion of the OLD 7 Mile Bridge over to Pigeon Island. It was magnificent, even in the September heat. An amazing view and a light breeze. You have to walk your bike down the steep wooden bridge to get down to the entrance of Pigeon Key, which is a 5-acre historic site that is owned- and operated by a nonprofit foundation. Three of the historic buildings are open to the public, including a lovely little museum that told the story of the 400+ men who built the original 7 Mile Bridge (on which we had just bicycled). They had some really interesting artifacts (the concrete test samples!) and even had a listing of the various families who lived there so that you could see if it included any of your relatives! Enjoyed ice cream purchased in the gift shop outside on a shaded bench...lovely! Purchased Gatorade and water for the bike ride back. The TROLLEY dropped off a bunch of people...some went snorkeling (which I think might be part of a package), while others brought their own pool noodles and went to the pier to float. I would definitely wear or bring my swim suit next time...the water looked so refreshing in the summer heat. I would go again if I was in Marathon, but my travel companion would not - she felt like it was more a one-and-done experience. But I loved the e-bike ride (my first!) and the island experience and would do it again...it was so quiet and relaxing. So the situation with the trolley is that the $30 is the trolley ride over, the entrance to enjoy the historic site, and the trolley ride back 1.5 hours later. If you're not ready to leave after an hour-and-a-half, you can ask them if you can stay longer. It was off-season, so we could have easily stayed longer had we packed a lunch or gone swimming. There is also the option to walk back the 2 miles if you can't snag a ride on the trolley or just want the exercise. This is actually a good option overall - walk in, pay the $15 to take in the historic site (includes air conditioned areas and restrooms), and walk back out. If you're a walker, this would be easy to do as there is a parking lot on the north side of this pedestrian-bicycle-trolley bridge. Enjoy!

Very difficult to see from the highway. It's a pretty new place, so it's almost empty. Beautiful boardwalk with nice spots with patio furniture. That is a plus. Highly recommended it's really spectacular

We love visiting oceanfront Park. It's nice to have the shade from the tiki huts while we fish, plus there's a nice walking trail. It could use a bit of cleaning up bit it's not bad. Plus we got to see a bunch of manatees!

Great spot to enjoy the view from a shaded covered walkway. A MUST for kayaking with kayak slips. Dirty deck from lots of fishing or partying so bring shoes but still a great spot.

Secret quiet little spot in Marathon that you can take your dog for a pee break in the dog park. Also there are some great vista and viewpoints where you can watch boats go by right down on the water. A good spot to stretch your legs from the drive to or from Key West and take a small stroll.

The park has a nice walking path with calisthenics stations and really nice water viewing locations. One has an elevated ramp to a 2nd story viewing area.

A fabulous spot right across the road from Marathon airport. Lovely walkways, exercise areas and full facilities for disabled folk. Peaceful and great views. We swam off the end point and enjoyed watching Pelicans diving for fish within 100ft of us! Thoroughly recommended instead of a beach!

Neat Grass Hut buildings that you can sit under and watch the ocean. Water is red and full of seaweed at this location again. Also the dock area completely full of red water and seaweed. No swimming here.

Beautiful dog park with gorgeous hiking trails.

Big spacious park with sand and grass. It's not wheelchair friendly, but a good walker will help. The restrooms were clean.

This is a great area to take your pooch. There is the large fenced in area where your dog can be free to meet and play with others. Or if you rather, take a walk around the track and walk the boardwalk that looks onto the ocean. Also looks like a good fishing spot as well. Fun for the whole family.

Our pups love this dog park. We love the ocean front tiki huts and walking paths. The view is stunning. It is peaceful, clean and well maintained. One of our favorite spots when we visit the Florida Keys

Just a plain grass dog park with a fence around it. It gets a 4 star because of the area it’s in and the surrounding waters that the dogs can swim in. So as far as dog parks it’s very limited compared to what I am used to. I didn’t even see a hose or any amenities like that. No dog obstacle course, steps or tunnels, just flat grass. My dogs still had a blast at this park because it was new territory for them to run around in and mark.

An awesome dog park, but be careful. There are very large iguanas here and snakes. The bathrooms were clean and in good working order, quite a few gazebo's to fish from or picnic in. It is one if the beat parks i have been to in the keys that is very dog friendly. Take your furr budfies here if you drive through.

This place is really private, nice to bring your dog and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. As fenced-in area and some docs where you can take your dog and enjoy being around the water.

The old seven miles bridge is worth the drive from Miami. It’s about 2.5 hours drive from downtown Miami. It’s great for either an early in the morning or late in the afternoon activity. The bridge starts at the end of Marathon key along the US1 southbound. There is a parking lot with about 20+ spots, otherwise you can park on the other side of the road. I enjoyed a lot the 4 miles round trip walk between Marathon and Pigeon key where the bridge ends. I wished I had a less cloudy day but overall I got a good weather.

It's a nice walk, just make sure to use bug spray if you want to go early in the morning or late in the evening!

Nice views all the way to pigeon key. We rode bikes. It's 2 miles there and 2 back.

A great spot to pull over & get in a walk, chill at one of the huts at ground level (accessible by stairs or a ramp) or to visit Pigeon Key. There's plenty of parking. Wear comfy shoes, lots of sunscreen & water. Really nice to see a history of the FL Keys still around.

Really long bridge, and you can observe sunset at the end of it. However it is recommended to arrive early to have parking space in this case.

If you are like me, I always wondered what the road was that lied next to the 7 mile bridge. Being able to walk the old railroad turned road to Pigeon Key was absolutely awesome. It is 2 miles one way. I highly reccomend bringing a water bottle and polarized glasses. We saw turtles and nurse sharks in the water from the walk! They have garbage cans every .2 miles which allows you to discard any trash you might have. Parking is simple, right off the 1 before the bridge and it is free!

Every visit to Marathon, the first thing we pack is our bikes for Old 7. Always a relaxing 4 mile bike ride whether at sunrise or sunset in the middle of the Gulf/Atlantic. A must do when in Marathon.

Awesome views and a free parking lot! You can walk on the bridge or head down the hill for a more up close and personal experience of the clear waters. You can’t swim but the views are nice and they have a covered picnic area as well.

It’s a nice spot to stop, rest up and take a pic. There are a couple of gazebos with tables and benches. You can also walk or run on a section of the old bridge. You can fish too, you will need the proper licenses, which you can buy within the Fish | Hunt FL app. On the opposite side of the road you can walk to a bar and restaurant which is accessible from underneath the bridge. It’s best to drive and park in their lot. -Safe Travels

Nice place to enjoy car driving with family. But it’ll be more convenient if you can plan to book a hotel ahead of trip. Enjoy the vibrant night life there by visiting bar and restaurants. The scenic road drive is must have.

Beautifully architected bridge. Took a long walk here and it felt really nice. There were lots of people doing fishing and the water was so calm and you can see pieces of land far away. Great place for runners.

It is an amazing ride on your way to Key West. If you want to take some pics, I recommend to do it on your way in (from North to south). There is a fishing area and a parking area.

Great fishing and sightseeing but no bathrooms. Boat launch and parking available. Shade is badly needed, bring an umbrella on hot days. Also, no water or vending machines.

Great walk! We saw a few turtles and the color of the water can’t be beat! Nice flat walk!

Love ❤️ from Texas Special note: not about this office but about this area for anyone interested in an honest review. Lower Florida is so gross! 🤢 It’s trashy, dirty, old fish house/bait camp style. There are so few shops and restaurants and the ones they do have are nothing spectacular. Everyone here is SO RUDE, I don’t understand all the attitude they give when you are trying to give them business, they act like you are a bother and like you should be grateful they are serving you. Everything food wise is priced higher than Disney prices for bad food, trashy ambiance and a lot of times sitting in the heat getting ate up by biting gnats while you try to eat. The water isn’t pretty like people post photos of either. Hardly anyone here speaks English, it’s like you aren’t even in America anymore. This was bucket list and I’ve done it now but I know I never want to bother with South Florida again. They can all stay there being trashy and rude never bothered by me again, all without my tourist dollars. We get treated so much better while enjoying delicious food and beautiful water in the Panhandle every year. The things we did here to pass the time because we were booked to be here and stuck that we did enjoy were the Dolphin Research Center, The Sea Turtle Hospital, and a private fishing charter but we didn’t really catch that much on it. None of it worth coming this far if you aren’t close by.

Super nice ladies with great info. We visited last year with a thousand questions. The staff was very patient and informative. This is year we were there over Halloween with our children. The staff had a few recommendations for festivals and trick or treating for our youngest. The staff went out of their way to recommend a neighborhood for trick or treating and we all had a great evening there. Many thanks to the staff!

This park is a must see! It was a perfect stop with my kids on the way down to key west. The bathrooms were clean and they had a changing table (although it was a little too tilted and close to the sink). There is also a nice dog park and some cute chickens.

Children's Rotary Park is a chill spot for kiddos to unwind and have a blast. The playgrounds are cool, and the chill vibes make it perfect for easygoing playtime. With shady spots and open lawns, it's a laid-back setting for picnics or just lazy strolls. The park's got a relaxed vibe, encouraging imaginative play and social hangs. Swings, cool structures—Children's Rotary Park is all about chill, outdoor fun for families looking to kick back and let the kids do their thing.

My daughter loves this park, I love it too especially that it's fenced and has a pavilion w handicap table and fans for a little breeze. Bathrooms are clean.

This is a really nice park for kids. There is also a nice dog park here with shade if you are traveling and need to let your dogs or kids out for a break this is a great place to stop. The park is thoughtful and nicely designed. I do wish they had built shade over the play equipment as it gets way too hot to touch it. The swings have shade, and so does a pavilion with tables at it. We did a pit stop here for our toddler around 11:30am in July and some of the equipment was already too hot to touch, but there were still things we could do before hitting the road again.

Great place for kids to run around and burn 🔥 energy . Clean, gated and adults have good shaded place to rest too.

I’ve always been curious about how the roads to the Keys were built. We ventured to Pigeon Cay yesterday and learned and saw so much! It’s amazing how the roads, bridges and railroads were designed and built. Our train conductor was Julie, friendly, informative and focused on safety at all times. Our guide Eric is so knowledgeable! He is calm, courteous, and a detail man. As he informed us, he was able to answer questions with details and specificity. If you’re a history buff, you’ll really enjoy this place. And even if you’re not, it’s still a site worth stopping at to see. You ride on the original 7 mile bridge, there since 1912, and can see the “new” one completed in 1982 (the one we all drive on now). Great experience for my family and I.

Such a fascinating piece of history to learn about. The guides are VERY informative and knowledgeable. The gift shop has a lot of unique items and even a popcorn machine. These t-shirts are EXTREMELY fitting.

The tour guide here was very knowledgeable about pigeon key. If you are into Florida Keys history, I highly suggest you go here and take this tour.

Not worth the high cost of admission. Most buildings are closed and there is a very small uninteresting museum. The fee is really charged to use the bathroom after a 2 mile walk across the bridge. That part was awesome. They also fraudulently charged my credit card for two admission when only one was authorized Stay away. So many other interesting things to see in the keys. This is not one of them

Very expensive. Nothing to see here. Most buildings are closed except for a very small unremarkable museum . The admission price is hefty 15.00 for an island with nothing on it. It is a scheme to get you to pay to use the bathroom and enter the gift shop for a bottle of water after a long two mile walk to get there. Yes that is correct 15.00 to go to the gift shop. I was charged a fee to sit in a chair and wait for my spouse to pay 15.00 for the use of the bathroom. They charged my credit card just to wait for him since I was on the island. Apparently those are the rules and can’t be changed. So I suggest you look from the bridge because that is the best view - nothing on the island to see

After a wonderful bike ride across the Old Seven Mile Bridge, my wife and I spent a wonderful morning learning about the Key West Extension of the Florida East Coast Railway. CJ gave us a captivating history lesson and her admiration of Henry Flagler. FYI, the polentas in the commissary are fantastic.
