Beautiful seaside microbrewery perfect for family & kids! Wonderful service by Ciro the pizza chef whom gave my little one some pizza dough to play with! Great pizza and beers! Awesome experience and if you are lucky, you can spot some dolphins swimming around in the sea too!

We visited quite a few breweries around Western Australia and our favourite is the Hazy Lager from Little Creatures. The atmosphere is relaxing. Besides the beers, we also enjoyed the mussels. The portion is decent for two and the taste is amazing.

Came here with my sister. It was super busy. Lots of people but we managed to snag a table upstairs. We didn't tour the brewery only stopped for a glass of vino as Little Creatures was recommended to us. Did not disappoint. Recommended

I visited both Little Creatures Brewery, Fremantle and Gage Roads Freo Brewery. Unfortunately, the day I visited Little Creatures Brewery was overcast and chilly, which made the terrace seating virtually impossible to enjoy. As a result, my overall satisfaction was higher at Gage Roads Freo Brewery, but Little Creatures Brewery, Fremantle is still a thoroughly enjoyable venue. The high-ceilinged pub area, which includes an open kitchen, was a great spot. I enjoyed an excellent tap beer, along with a pizza recommended by the staff, for dinner. They also sell canned beers and merchandise if you are looking for souvenirs. While it took a little while, I was able to order and happily drink a total of three different beers—I chose the smallest size for each. I can only imagine my experience would have been even better on a sunny day, so I felt a bit unlucky with the weather. Nonetheless, this is a brewery well worth visiting.

First time visiting a brewery, it is pretty impressive. If you like to enjoy the view, go up to the second floor. Did the beer tasting tray, i would recommend the bigger tray, it is more worthwhile. Little creatures beer in general is not bad. I just felt the merchandises were too expensive. Even if i wanted to buy as a souvenir, i would think twice.

Used to come here alk the time as a kid with my family! Amazing environment and super kind staff! However i ordered the cheeseburger and it came a little soggy and was super drenched by the time i had taken 2 bites. Other than that the burger tasted great, the pizza was amazing, and the fries were perfect!!

Absolutely perfect. Venue - spotless & comfy. It was a cold, wet, winter day and yet both inside and outside were warm and welcoming. Staff - friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, accommodating, and welcoming. Food - delicious & exactly as described. Prices - on point for Fremantle. Drinks - delicious and a great range. Atmosphere - amazing. Especially when the live musicians started and we got to enjoy their "jazz". 100% will be back.

I swung by on a rainy Wednesday night upon recommendation from a local friend It’s a decent place — it’s quaint, quiet spot with parking, local beers on tap, and I like their concept of guest beers on tap. Food — also good, nice warm olives and toasted bread with honey drizzle. Drinks — they make their own liqueurs a la Campari which looks really good! Service — oh dear lord! There were 3 people, two of which were so lovely until one of the unfriendliness bar person — someone mentioned “wench” below — came out to play. The whole vibe shifted. I’m visiting from interstate and have been trying a few local beers and ginger beers and I was asking about the two beers and how they compared, to which she responded — rudely “every drink is different — d’oh! — you just have to try it yourself” referring to the unopened can. She had a sour face with us all evening, and we didn’t try the other drinks. Seating: she seems annoyed that we’re seated where she makes cocktails (see below— those ice glasses aren’t our drinks). She also kept pushing our food, as we were eating’. We would have been fine to move if asked. Or simply, reserve this area. This attitude is a real shame in hospitality and wouldn’t return. The others were lovely prior.

Typical trendy bar with beautiful people and lovely food and drinks. Pretty standard stuff. The 5 stars are for the lovely young barman who dropped a bottle of chilled water on our table with some glasses. Nice touch, sobered us up, prolonged our visit. Great service, quite old fashioned in a good way. Edit: chatted to the young man - Alex. What a guy 😍

We went to a tasting of beers from District Brewing on Wednesday night. The event was well run, informative and showcased a local small scale producer. All staff involved in the event were extremely helpful. The event provide an opportunity to engage with the brewer and sample some food from the venue. We will definitely be back to try more menu options and can hopefully attend another event which is showcasing local producers.

I’m delighted to share my great experience today at Gage Roads Freo Brewery, Fremantle. Though it was my maiden visit to Gage Roads-it was busy, noisy and full of energy during lunch time on Friday.Plenty of room for indoors and outdoors-today it was sunny we enjoyed our food with great ambience and picturesque of the Fremantle. The food was delicious and the customer service was amazing! The staff is very attentive and love to serve their customer’s with an honest and beautiful smile on their face. As the menu shows all items are reasonably priced keeping in view the quality and great venue. I’m impressed with their quality of food and service and love to visit again & again.👍👍

Absolutely massive place. Great beer selection and great view over the Fremantle Harbour. Some tasty dishes, the prawns were my favourite and the beef tacos were quite nice too. Food is very expensive though, the prawns will set you back about $9.50 per prawns which is a bit nuts. The cerviche was also interesting, but you need about 8 of them to touch the sides. Overall pretty good!

We got to try Gage Roads Beer at the local Craft Beer Festival on the Gold Coast, and it did not disappoint! 🌞🍺 It was a hot day, and that nice cold beer went down way too easy — seriously hit the spot. The staff were friendly, up for a chat, and the setup looked awesome — chilled vibes, good tunes, and great energy all round. Big thumbs up from us — we’ll definitely be grabbing more of their brews in the future. Perfect beach-day beer in our books! 👏🌴

A madhouse on a Sunday but a great atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Almost impossible to find a table but we managed. Play area for the kids is great. Didn't have a proper meal, only portions of chips. If their quality is an indication of the rest of the food, that must be very good.

Gage Roads Freo Brewery is located just a short walk from Fremantle Station and offers a spacious, open interior with a vibrant atmosphere. There’s also a large outdoor terrace where you can enjoy your meal and beer while watching ships pass through the harbor — especially pleasant on a sunny day. A wide range of beers is available on tap, making it fun to explore and find your favorite. Personally, I prefer bold and bitter beers rather than light ones, so Single Fin wasn’t quite my taste. However, Hazy As was an excellent hazy IPA that suited my preference perfectly. You can also buy takeaway cans and merchandise from the well-stocked shop inside. I especially loved the limited-edition Little Dove, so I had it filled in a 32oz crowler to take home — a great souvenir option. Although I didn’t order food, they have a full dining menu as well.

Massive space but not enough seatings when the sun is out and everybody wants some beer…. We were there on a sunny day and it was packed! Nice view over looking the sea, we spotted some dolphins. Order via QR code, food was great and beer was good.

Such a great spot by the water! Gage Roads has an amazing atmosphere — right on the harbour with beautiful views and a really chill vibe. The place is spacious, family-friendly, and perfect for catching up with friends over a few beers. Loved how fresh the drinks were straight from the brewery, and the food was delicious — especially the seafood and pizzas. Staff were friendly and even when it got busy, everything still felt well-organised. It’s the kind of place you can easily spend an afternoon just relaxing. Definitely one of the best brewery experiences in Perth!

Had a lovely time at Nieuw Ruin. The team were friendly and approachable, and worked with us to construct a by the glass pairing alongside their official pairing. Food was very good and served in batches, which didn't drag out the meal. Interesting flavor profiles and good quality ingredients. My one thing that I would have changed would have been for the chips to be served hot

Lovely dinner experience! One of my favourites in Fremantle. They had a special on Chardonnay so we got a bottle half price. The food was delicious and service was amazing.

Accommodated my garlic and onion allergy without any trouble. Modified dishes so that my partner could enjoy the 'normal' version and I had a modified version. Food was unique and interesting, great for share plates. Service was impeccable.

Wow hands down the best restaurant in Fremantle. An amazing selection of wines, such unique foods to pair and complement the wines. Our host was so friendly and shared so many stories about the wines. I wish we caught his name, he said he's from Tasmania and he's been here since the start. Take the chance to pair your meal with a Cloudburst because you'll be hard pressed to find this wine anywhere else

An incredible experience, flavors that delight the palate. Very happy with Chef Schefeno's service and explanation of the dishes. A cozy place with a wine list to enjoy the moment and of course I appreciate good cocktails which also surprised me. I have to say delicious PATE EN CROUTE, a piece of Europe here, so I highly recommend it. *point of my view*

I had a lovely evening here with my fiancé to celebrate my birthday and our recent engagement. The staff were incredible, and accommodated to her vegan dietary requirements without a hassle. Kieran was our server, and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome and appreciated, as if we were regular diners. It’s not often you get service like this. As for dishes, I’ve heard a lot about the cauliflower pie, and my god guys… it’s amazing. The chef whipped together a vegan dish for my fiancé which wasn’t even on the menu. My feedback? Consider adding it! It was delicious and explained to us as a Ukrainian inspired dish. The wines recommended were great and the venues atmosphere is nice too. We can’t wait to come back again.

5th December 2024 - We booked dinner here as part of our alphabet experience for 2024 - "Y". We were visiting here from Sydney and we had been down at the Margaret River region for the day and was running late for our reservation - thankfully the staff were so accommodating given we were a little late. There was street parking directly out front of the restaurant which made it easy to access. The food was delicious and the menu was extremely difficult to choose from as there were so many fantastic dishes listed. However, we were tired from such a big day and whilst we would have loved to have spent more time and trying a few things, we ordered 1 dish each and then headed off. The only difficulty was it was quite dark within the premises and whilst this might suit a lot of people - it wasn't our thing.

Dined at Young George this past Saturday. A very wet and quite cold day, this chill was felt within the restaurant as the main door remained wide open throughout our service period. Beef Tartare was as I remembered, very nice. Duck Fat Potatoes also really nice. The Pork Cheek however was a puzzling dish, very little meat - pork fat overload, accompanied with Charred Cabbage and for a better term, Apple Kimchi Salsa, the dish was underwhelming from the main ingredient to the uninteresting presentation. Definitely needed the Apple Salsa. Belly Pork or Pork Hock a much better cut choice for this dish. We also had a Banana Bread Pudding type dessert, very nice. Petit Fours pretty average and quite expensive. Coffees were really good. Service was very good, very attentive and professional. I will go back, being a bit more savvy with the menu options.

Our group of 9 had dinner at Young George last night. On being shown to our table, the waitress was offering options for water, but we couldn't hear because the music was too loud! She repositioned herself from the end of the table to the middle of the table, but again, we couldn't hear what options she was offering. I asked if she could turn the music volume down so we could hear her. She said a colleague would have to unlock the office, turn it down, and then check if the volume level was acceptable. The colleague came and said it was now lower, but there had been no perceptible change in volume. At this point, I wanted to leave as it's impossible to have conversations with supposed background music too loud. We were then offered another table opposite the kitchen where the music was not so overpowering. The menu is a creative fusion of different ingredients that all meld into powerful taste sensations. The food is to die for. Our table consisted of a series of small tables that each rocked and were unstable. I wedged them with a knife under the offending low corner so the stemware glasses 🥂 wouldn't topple over as the table rocked back and forth. It annoys me when restaurants don't pay attention and have a series of wedges to level tables up. I enjoyed each of the sharing plates I tried, especially the Fish Ceviche and the Grilled Watermelon, Blue Cheese, Peppery Leaves, Walnuts, and Balsamic. Although the food was delicious 😋 I would not return purely due to the music.

Always wanted to come here and try the food from one of WA’s esteemed chef’s. Well today was the day and boy did it deliver. Set in a rustic setting this place serves pretty tasty food. The beef chop chop nacho was so good that we ordered a second one after our mains in place of dessert. The milk bun ramen fried chicken, pork jowl, beef tritip and white asparagus and truffles were yum 😋 The chicken nugget was pretty average and the hype was more than the taste. Service was attentive and the drinks were good as well. An enjoyable meal but the food does take a while to come out. So do factor that in, but if you are in no rush, have good company and plenty of drinks then it’s all good 👍🏽

It's a true Freo gem. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, the food is amazing, and they have great vegetarian options. Perfect for a casual drink or a special night out - highly recommend!

We celebrated my Dad’s 60th birthday in the cellar at Young George, and it was fantastic. Perfect space for 20 people. The space had a great atmosphere for a private event, and the food was absolutely amazing! High quality, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The drinks were excellent and the service was spot on. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Delicious meal, great service. Scallops cooked to perfection and absolutely loved the white asparagus with hollandaise and poached egg. Definitely worth a visit

Stop the bus and get off! This is the best place I've eaten at in a loooong time. Rock Lobster Ravioli 🦞 Delicious Pumpkin dish 🎃 Crumbly Vintage Cheese & Crackers 🍘 glass of local SB, absolute perfection and extremely well priced, shared meal with a friend and we were so full!

Probs the best steak sandwich I’ve had in Perth! Their panko battered scallops and lamb chops were also do delicious!! And to top it all off they do an amazing pint of Guinness

I’ve walked past this place heaps since it’s just around the corner from home, but only checked it out for the first time last week — and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s got a really laid-back vibe, and the little courtyard out the back is a great spot to sit, relax, and watch the world go by. The wine list was solid with a few nice surprises, and the atmosphere was just right — not too loud, not too quiet. I had the steak sandwich and it was seriously good, way better than I expected. Definitely planning to head back soon. Great little local spot I should’ve tried sooner.

This place was one of our favourites for a long time, but unfortunately the staff here are just the least hospitable people ever. The rude attitudes when asking after drinks or food they’ve forgotten (which is a consistent experience here lately) really puts a damper on the entire experience. Honestly, if the staff weren’t so busy chatting to mates or drinking behind the bar this venue would be a lot better

Stumbled across this place when I visited Perth recently. Warm, cozy and great vibes. Fireplaces roaring, cocktails were great and arguably the best meal I had in Freo. Bangers and mash, who would’ve thought. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend.

Recommended by a friend, we had lunch there, a nice place with a woodfire fir winter, we tried a few items on the menu, they were alright, but not amazing as what my friend said😅, and they don't serve coffee, we had to go somewhere else to get a coffee😟.

We recently did the cocktail course at Republic of Fremantle and loved it! Blake our host was fantastic — really knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun and engaging. We learned about the distilling process for gin, whiskey and vodka, enjoyed a spritz on arrival, and then made three delicious cocktails. Such a great mix of learning and tasting, with plenty of tips to try at home. Highly recommend for a fun night out or unique experience in Fremantle!

We have just had the most wonderful cocktails and pizza at the Republic of Fremantle! Brodie made us delicious cocktails…love his passion! The food was great. Accidentally stumbled into the Republic of Fremantle. We wandered in and were greeted by Nicolo ( pardon the spelling) who gave us a tour of the distillery. Met the creator of the distillery. Really nice people. Decided to stay for a drink and ended up eating dinner here. The distillery have partnered with Napoli pizza for food. What a nice pairing! I’m not a gin or vodka drinker so I took a while to decide. Had the Calypso Disco - aromatic gin with wine shrub, citrus, vermouth and soda. Was very refreshing! Ordered the Don Ciccio pizza. So delicious! The staff and bartender were all so friendly and welcoming. Made our dinner so fun!

Such a good warm vibe set up by great interior, an interesting and tasty menu, seriously bloody good drinks, friendly and intelligent service. Don't all come at once, or if you do, save us a seat as we're coming back.

Republic of Fremantle is a distillery that proudly follows the philosophy of “From grape to glass,” crafting its own base spirit from locally grown Verdelho grapes. While I usually drink whisky, I had researched beforehand that gin from Western Australia is highly recommended, so I visited this distillery around 9:30 PM to purchase a gift. The store is open until 10 PM, which made this last-minute visit possible. When I mentioned that I was looking for a gin bottle, I was offered a complimentary tasting of three gins. The staff were very helpful and recommended a gin suitable for someone who prefers to drink it neat, which was exactly what I wanted for my gift. The gins here are relatively premium-priced, as is their flagship vodka, but buying them locally makes them a special souvenir. These products are unique to Western Australia and cannot be purchased in my home country, making them a meaningful and memorable gift.

From the moment we walked into Jetty Bar, we new we were going to have a nice experience. The Barman greeted us promptly and gave us a choice of where we wanted to sit. The waitress was full of positive energy and joy and the rest of the evening was the same. Great food and staff and atmosphere

Ruby was a phenomenal hostess, she helped us navigate the menu and informed us what to order for 7 people. Incredible service. Grace made incredible cocktails and was so kind and friendly. I’ve never had a bar tender be so friendly and I will definetly be coming back again.

Had to clear our own table from previous diners and it wasn’t wiped. No table water, no salt & pepper. 2 napkins but 1 had a stain on it- yuk. Couldn’t get staffs attention. Good food once we got our own S & P and nice staff when delivering food.Lovely view on the water which is why I imagine it is a popular eatery. Would expect more for the prices of mains :)

A beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon is best spent enjoying Jetty Bar with friends. A great chilled atmosphere right on the edge of the river with boats sailing past while sipping Prosecco & eating delicious food - what’s not to love?

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t as positive as we had hoped. Three friends and I attended your Bottomless Lunch on Saturday, and the drinks service made the experience quite frustrating. For most of our two-hour booking, we found ourselves queuing for drinks rather than enjoying our meal. With only two staff members serving and making cocktails, the wait times were quite long — often around 20 minutes just to get four drinks (even for wine). At times, there were at least eight people waiting in line. As a result, it was rare that during the two-hour sitting all four of us were able to sit together and enjoy our lunch; someone was always waiting at the bar. We were also advised that the QR code ordering system wasn’t working, which made the situation worse. It’s such a pity, as it had the potential to be a relaxing and enjoyable occasion. I reached out to jetty bar privately prior to this post but received no response.

Nice little place tucked away down a side street. Has great live music and a nice range of alcoholic beverages. Also, they have a great range of non-alcoholic drinks. Their food is nice but not something we'll come rushing back to. Surprisingly, my favourite was their brussel sprouts. Nicely charred and the grated cheese over the top made it 👌. The space itself is chill (we were there for lunch and stayed till about 3pm) and is dog friendly!!

Gorgeous setting, great share plates of food. Menu is mixed tapas style small plates but everything we had was delicious. Great range of local wines. The biggest downside was the amount of vaping and smokers, almost every second table. It seemed there was no designated smoking section and because it was exposed and "outdoor" we got surrounded by smokers. Parking close by isn't bad, and the Essex St carpark is the best bet.

We spontaneously came here for a late lunch and ended up having some tapas and a bottle of wine. Great space and delicious food. Wouldn't mind coming back to check out the night life!

Terrible food. 2 share plates for $30. Inedible tempura vegetables. It’s beer battered - so oily and tasteless. Fried chicken very average - like a poor man’s KFC. Would not return.

Unfortunately the food didn’t meet our expectations. We tried four different pastas, but each lacked flavour and balance and none of us finished our meals. The gnocchi, for example, could have used a more sauce and some acidity, while the ravioli felt quite monotone in flavour. At $36–$37 per plate, it was hard to justify the price given the overall experience. This is sadly a no return venue.

We found La Sosta by accident just walking past. We had an amazing dining experience the food was exceptional. The stuffed zucchini flowers and octopus were fantastic. The main lamb shoulder was a stand out.

I dined at La Sosta for the first time. I'm not a big fan of Italian food, but La Sosta has changed my mind. I had the lamb shoulder with vegetables. The meat was succulent and fell to pieces. The vegetables cooked to perfection. I had a glass of Monti Nord Est Vermentino, which was delicious. Followed by Tirimasu, which was lovely. Whilst the resturant wasn't busy, being a rainy week night. There was still a lovely atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and was able to answer all our questions. They have a balcony which would be lovely to dine on, in warmer weather. I'll definitely be back.

Lovely staff, food lovely. Once your main comes the service ends! Octopus entree lovely! Mains pork and pesto pasta lovely, def recommend! Ladies toilet upstairs which boggles the mind! Ladies always use the bathroom more than men. I would recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The Lasagnole Gamberi e Pistacchio was rich in flavor, with a fragrant pistachio-garlic sauce, fresh prawns, and perfectly cooked pasta. The Tiramisu was delicate and smooth—well-balanced with just the right hint of bitterness, beautifully finished with a sweet chocolate stick. A special thanks to Letizia, the waitress, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She patiently explained the menu, promptly cleared our plates after the pasta course, and anticipated my needs. Her plating of the Tiramisu was especially impressive—both elegant and inviting.

Our visit exceeded our expectations. The pasta was perfectly al dente. We ordered the pork sausage and sage ravioli and they were filled generously and meat was surprisingly juicy. The linguine flavour was well balanced with acidity from the tomato and had a good amount of chilli. My only suggestion for the linguine would be leaving the fish to be in larger chunks so that they don’t overcook compared to the small neat cubes which maybe they opted for presentation. Calamari was crispy but not oily. Service was great and I appreciated they changed our plates and cutlery between entree and mains even though I wouldn’t classify this place to be fine dining. Would be happy to come back again.

I had dinner here last night and was thoroughly impressed. The Lasagnole Gamberi e Pistacchio and Pappardelle al Ragu Di Agnello e Tartufo were both outstanding! The lamb was beautifully tender, the flavours rich and moreish, and the portion sizes generous, offering excellent value for money. I couldn’t finish my meal simply because I was so full, which was disappointing only because it was too delicious to leave behind! The service was equally exceptional. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and perfectly timed in her approach. She made us feel genuinely cared for and even offered to take our photo, which was such a thoughtful touch. All staff were professionally presented and carried themselves with pride, reflecting the high standard of the restaurant. The setting was elegant yet unpretentious, with ambient golden lighting complimenting contemporary design that created a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Overall, an outstanding experience from start to finish — I will definitely be returning.

We had our engagement party here on Saturday night. Food was fab. We had a mix of meat and vegetarian options. 1 bartender on the bar and he was awesome! Super friendly and when I asked for a strawberry 🍓 for my prosecco he didn’t have any but went down to the kitchen specifically to find some just for me the bride to be, so I had them available all night. They had the fireplace going which has only recently been reinstated in the heritage building. That was a huge plus! Added to the romance. Room was clean and has a lovely heritage feel which was why we chose it. Only downside was the sign they had for our function where they spelt “engagement”wrong. Which was only noticed later in the evening.

Stopped in here for a sneaky pint, wasn't expecting much but the place looks really cool, nice vibe. Surprisingly, the pint was actually decent! Pulled with passion by the lovely Barman Conor from the north of Ireland, a very charismatic host with the gift of the gab! All round great atmosphere, would defo recommend if you're in the area.

A friend told me to go to Fremantle for a chicken parmi. Couldn’t remember the name of the place that he recommended so I gave Sail and Anchor a shot. Glad I did. The chips were great, the parmi was great, even the salad was good! Also, great atmosphere, great service, and friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Had a great dinner this evening at Sail and Anchor! Conor was attentive in making sure we were comfortable and checked to see if the food was to our liking. The parmi is a winner! Love the crumbing, it was crunchy and added flavour. Fish and chips were not greasy at all, and that tartar was deliciously punchy. Both meals had perfect hot chips, the simple side salad was fresh and tasty. Will have to make the trek again to check out the rest of the menu!

We had an awesome time at the Sail & Anchor thanks to Conor behind the bar. He looked after us with great energy, quick service, and a friendly attitude the whole night. Conor really knows how to make people feel welcome, and he didn’t miss a beat keeping the drinks flowing — even when it got busy. Ice cold Emu Export served with a smile is exactly what you want at a Fremantle pub, and Conor nailed it. Absolute legend of a bartender — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We recently had our school reunion in function Room 1854. It was a fantastic location in Fremantle and the history of the hotel was appropriate for our 50 year reunion. The private bar, the facilities in the room as well as access to the balcony area overlooking the cappuccino strip was very much appreciated. Food platters were tasty, timely arrival throughout the night and cost was very reasonable. Thank you to Alishia and the Sail and Anchor staff….was a wonderful night.

It’s also just 15 mins walk from Fremantle Station. Definitely would recommend The Norfolk Hotel if you are planning to visit Fremantle!

Ate and drank in the Odd Fellow bar. Great food and lovely beers. Friendly staff, and good vibe. Sat in the undercover bar area. Nice lighting and overhead heaters. Sadly weather outside necessitate both. Good music, right volume for group conversation. Recommend.

Beer Garden Only - I have been to Norfolk in the past friendly and the food was great, now wether it was a bad chef day or you have made changes since last somber the food I hate today was to say the least not nice little salad called heart of something. And beer battered fish can you tell me but where was the fish? there was more greasy batter than anything. The chips were nice but they were chips enough said - yes you may ignore this one persons comment but there were 3 of us celebrating a Birthday - sorry no return at this stage

Thanks for a great lunch and afternoon session. The chilli mussles.and Salt and Pepper Squid dishes went down well. Only recommendation is to get Wein Stephener Heffe back on tap. Again thanks for a great arvo.

We just wanted to express our gratitude for last Friday night. The Green Room's function space was beautiful and we were looked after very well by all of the staff so thank you so much! The food was fantastic too! We will definitely be booking the space again! All Saints' College :)

A new experience. I liked it. Didn't know where to go and order at first. I managed to sit and ordered a mexican food. It was an awesome choice.

Huge range of foods, all of which are excellent quality. We had Fish Boss and Stampede Icecream and were thoroughly satisfied with our choices. The food was fast, fresh and delicious and the facilities were clean, open and inviting. The toilets were a bit of a trek but that is probably expected at the type of venue. They have a bar section, they offer pizza, burgers, dumplings, fish and chips, ice cream and a couple of other options that i can't remember!

Bloody good burger 🍔, couldn't tell you the name of what I had because it was a "No Name Burger 🍔 with added beetroot" and it hit the spot, chips I ordered were well seasoned and crispy, between the 4 of us it was all great comments. Thanks guys and gal's

Inside is Don Tapa, Magna Pizza, Short order burger and Alter ego bar. We had lunch at Don Tapa, an asian infusion tapas bar. The building is rustic warehouse style but the food is as good as you'd get at some of Perth's best restaurants. We had prawn dumplings, in a rich aromatic creamy sauce. Plus pulled beef tacos with asian spices. Both were fresh and spicy (chilly but not too hot) and v delicious. For dessert freshly baked donuts in a rum syrup with lime ice cream (taste just like a cinnamon donut) and a kind of key lime pie (without pastry) beneath a bed of chocolate dust, with marshmallow, ice cream and tropical fruit. The lime was a bit sour for my liking (i preferred the donut) but i still ate it all . Had a couple of glasses of wine and a very good coffee (hard to find in Perth) I'd like to go back to try Alter ego as the south american tapas food on their facebook page looks even more amazing. I imagine it would be quite hot in summer (not sure it's air conditioned) but if you sit outside (theres about 8 tables on the street) it is quite tranquil, except today when the traffic noise from loud motorbikes was quite loud. The parking station across the road is large and free on Sundays. It doesn't have the views like bathers beach but the food is their selling point. Can't wait to go back for cocktails on Friday.

A great concept with a happening vibe and relaxed eateries. The bar was a little pricier than I would have like, but they made some great cocktails. Who's Don Tapas was excellent with delicious food and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent atmosphere and food. Plenty of seating with good air-conditioning. There was fish and chips, bar, pizza, gourmet burgers, satay food and slow cooked meats. For desert there was an ice cream shop and the store that sold the meats also had caramelised figs. All around very good experience.

More of a 4.5 ⭐️ Spacious and rustic venue that pumps really tasty food. The beef tartare was the best tasting dish of the lot and was so good. The bone marrow was a hit and the clams were ok. Foccacia was nice with the garlic and oil, beef rump was ok, braised beef pasta was delicious and was cooked al dente. Salad, hand cut chips was good. But was eager to try the fried chicken with caviar. Let’s just say my expectations were higher. The bar was well stocked but the cocktails could do with a bit more variety. Overall a pretty good experience and the food was good. ✅ All the boxes of a good day or night out with great food and drinks.

Great service, great drinks, and great food. Was nice to order prawns and not get served small pieces of meat. Homemade chips with the rump steak were phenomenal! Coeliac friendly if advised ahead of time (to the best of their ability of course - separate fryers, knives and boards etc).

G&L Urban Winery is a hidden gem. The food is fresh and full of flavour, served in a relaxed, welcoming setting where you order at the bar. The lush greenery and the impressive brewing section create a unique atmosphere that blends charm with creativity. A must-visit for anyone who loves great wine, great food, and a space with real character.

My friend and I came here on a Sunday for their $2 oyster deal. The venue was like a hidden gem, lots of seating, beautiful greenery and the bar had a good range of drinks too. We absolutely loved the bone marrow and beef tartare, would definitely come back for that! The team were so lovely and kind to us throughout the whole service. Thank you!

Love this place, food is always good, vibes are great. However, I did ask the bartender for a classic cocktail to which I was told “no, I’m only making what’s on the board”. Unfortunately the 2 listed on the board weren’t to my taste so I went for a wine instead. Would have been nice to see that kind of service from him at H&C, considering everyone is always so nice and accommodating, and it wasn’t busy at all. Apart from that, will happily return again.

H&C Urban is a beautiful space. It feels relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place you want to sit in with friends over food and a drink. The greenery is well thought out and gives the venue real warmth. The food and drinks are fine but not great. The clam pasta had perfectly cooked seafood, but the pasta itself was plain and held the dish back, the sauce seemed bought rather than made from fresh ingredients in the kitchen. It’s all fine, just not up to what you might expect given the venue. The bar looks impressive but doesn’t quite deliver. There’s a decent range of spirits, yet the cocktail list is small, overly sweet, and a bit pedestrian. The bartenders don’t seem able to go off-menu, which feels like a missed chance. The front-of-house staff are great, friendly, attentive, and professional. They give the place life and energy. Overall, H&C Urban is close to being special. The food and drink just need to catch up with the setting. They’re so close, and I hope they prove me wrong.

A truly fabulous dining experience. Please try the lamb belly while you can - one of the top 5 dishes I've had in my travels. Other stand out was the duck terrine! Every dish was thoughtful and delicious! Really unique cocktails, beautiful wine list, with a great whiskey menu, and dessert wine options.

Cheeky weeknight meet up with an old mate. So happy I was talked in to going here. Wednesday evening at 6.30pm great time to visit. Not too busy and get the best seats in the house. The staff were amazingly friendly and experienced in hospitality. Lots of good banter and jokes and really helpful with recommendations. Thank you to the nice guy Adrian and his lovely Spanish lady friend. We had lots of laughs. A great robust wine menu with plenty of quality diversity. We had a mix of foods from delightful tastes from scallops to duck rillete. Both sensational. Then on to starters with beautiful mushrooms in parmesan custard and on to tiger prawns with lamb belly. I have been introduced to a new era of clever food combinations, beautiful food pairings, high quality ingredients and excellent cooking skills and experience. I'm am merely an amateur in the perth foodie game but I am confident this place is up there with the best in perth and cannot speak more highly of it. I will be back. Thank you!

I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. The steak was cooked perfectly tender, flavourful, and juicy. The fresh oysters were a standout, incredibly fresh and well presented. The beef tartare was another highlight, beautifully seasoned and balanced.As for the sides, both the broccolini and carrots were cooked just right, maintaining their texture and flavour. Everything on the table was well prepared and delicious. The service was attentive and professional, making sure everything was to our satisfaction throughout the meal. Overall, a fantastic experience I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fabulous restaurant offering beautifully presented and mouthwatering dishes. The service was friendly but it took a while for the food to come out (even the starters). We however still enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend to visit for special occasions. We had the House Signature Bread and Duck Terrine for starters. Then the Grilled Swordfish and 300gr Black Angus Sirloin (unbelievably tender, melt-in-your-mouth) sharing plates with Kipfler Potatoes and Heirloom Baby Carrots as sides. These dishes were sufficient for lunch for 3 adults and a 7 year-old. Oh the welcome drink (some housemade soda?) was also delicious!

Went here for a friend’s birthday and absolutely loved it! We shared a bunch of side dishes and mains — everything was so delicious. The place is beautiful, super clean, and the staff were lovely. Couldn’t recommend it more!

An outstanding meal. Every single dish was delicious but that rainbow trout was something else. We also ordered the tiger prawns, lamb belly, pork fillet, ribeye and I would go back to order every single dish again.

Very pleasant right on the beach. We went to see the sculptures and enjoyed a meal afterwards. Excellent bucket of prawns - good value, and battered fish and chips. (A few customers were tucking into loaded plates of mussels with obvious enjoyment, too.) Polite, pleasant, cheery service with a smile from door to table. We hadn't booked and asked for a table by the open doors. Nothing was too much trouble.

This place was humming. Although it was busy, the food and cocktails did not take long. Had a seafood basket - delicious. Also had a few cocktails too. The heavens opened up so we ducked inside to escape the rain. All fun and games. Staff are friendly. Location is great. Wonderful sunset pics too. Highly recommend

Brilliant place for a relaxing lunch. Eat inside or out, underneath the colourful umbrella's, taking in the view of Bathers Beach. Our table had the classic fish and chips, one with sweet potato fries, pork belly and green salad. The food and service were excellent. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Right near great food outlets and their own, seating with outside bar 🍸 on the beach, kids and others don't have to be at the complex to access the bleachers, board walk, or beach. We enjoyed the sunshine, the sun lounge, and drinks, tho the seagulls are worse than flies, quote brazenly fly towards your face to try steal food out of your hands ⚠️ Otherwise, in a beautiful place, I'd suggest eating inside away from seagulls and drinks 🍸 outside. Great staff and very aesthetically pleasing restaurant 👌 Fine casual dining in a classy environment 🍽 Prices are moderate to high. Food is aesthetically pleasing on the plate and devine on the palette... a beautiful spot with someone you love, be it a mate, family, or best friend/s.

Amazingly well situated on the beach , beautiful view, variety of sitting options with shades and very well designed menu. This was our first time here and we enjoyed every bit of it. We definitely come back and highly recommend this to everyone else.

Seafood pasta was good but took too long to come out and the below steak was served as “medium well”. Clearly a rare steak. Wouldn’t return. Great location

We hadn't been to The Left Bank for many years with their reputation for fights. The pub has outdoor and indoor, with a sunroom seating. Very much a pub setting and decor. Pleasant and plenty of options. We are happy to be back. The burger was delicious. Juicy and tasty. Love the crispy chips. The service is nice and friendly. The crowd lively and friendly. Parking was full, but we got lucky down the side.

It's hard to complain about somewhere when you are sitting next to the water with a pint of Guinness in your hand... Well there was nothing to complain about. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and good in quantity and quality. Pricing was fine and I'm happy to recommend this as a place to spend some time enjoying the food, a drink, and the atmosphere. Well done to everyone.

Fabulous spot to stop for a drink or meal, located right on the river front. Picturesque old pub with plenty of character. Great lunch menu with something for everyone.

There for a private function. I did notice that there were quite a few different functions going on and it looked like they were separated very professionally and also catered to. Ample security and staff onsite, with no trouble at all. Staff services were very prompt,friendly and professional, as too were the security team onsite. There was a DJ earlier in the night with a Band performing after the meal time. Availability to mix and mingle as well dance in front of the Band. Live sport also being shown throughout the venue. A reasonable amount of parking available as well as an easy pick-up area for taxis, ubers and for friends.

We hosted my father's wake. Dad would love going to the leftbank and have fish and chips. So we thought it appropriate to have his celebration of life their. The mood of the day was upbeat given dad was 93 years when he passed. We had the Billy's Bar Area. Which was very comfortable for our 50 odd guests. I ordered platters of Fish and Chips. Prawns and squid. Gyozas etc. Everything was delicious and fresh.The staff on the day were wonderful catering for the demand. When I booked the event we were in Greece so all communication was via email to Abbey. She was professional and everything was organised extremely well. . We would not hesitate to arrange functions at the leftbank in the future. It's such a beautiful location.

You know what makes my blood boil? Steak sandwiches that look really good then when you bite into them you discover the steak is riddled with gristle the consistency of jelly rubber. Once you bite into it there's nowhere to go. You try to bite off the offending gristle but inevitably you either do that and end up with a piece you can only take out of your mouth......gross. The worst option is what I did. The steak didn't part ways so of course after pulling it, the whole shebang ended up in a riotous mess on my lap, ground and plate. $ 30 or so and a good day down the drain. Also, very embarrassing. Give me a break, I'm no chef but I do have the minimal skill of removing fat and gristle from a piece of steak and I also know enough to identify what cut has substantial gristle and where it is so I can remove it. It's not hard, but when you don't care about your job you are letting the establishment and yourself down. BTW I'm a regular client but it seems the "Loaded" weekly menu specials have literally gone West. ?????

One year ago, I came here for a beer and gave 5 stars for atmosphere and hospitality. This time, I got food, and I'm not going to lie it was really good. If you are in the Fremantle area, I definitely recommend checking this place out. It's dog friendly and plenty of outside seating that overlooks a river.

Very very average food. Meal looked nothing like photo. Lamb was cold and dry on stale bread. Friends coleslaw was obviously old and brown. Hopefully they just had the work experience kid making a mess of this. Prob won’t return to find out.

We booked two tables to celebrate our daughters 40th birthday. We decorated with banners and although it was a chilly day, outdoor heaters were on, staff were really helpful and friendly. We brought a cake and they provided plates, cutlery and a knife and delivered the cake to the table with candles lit when requested. Food was delicious, we ordered flat breads and dips and chips and then people bought other food individually. Playground and grassed area kept the kids happy with cricket, soccer and climbing etc. Everything so easy and relaxing and people really enjoyed themselves. Thanks Clancy's Fremantle

Been coming here for years and absolutely love it. The seafood is always fresh and tasty. Favourites are the crispy skin barra, chilli mussels, seafood platter and fried mice. Service from the team is exceptional, nothing is too hard for them and service is fast and friendly. Always a favourite place to come and spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Loved the atmosphere, there's a playground in the back for kids to run around. Loads of beer options, loved the menu options too - pretty vegan friendly. My friend had the fish and chips, said it was banging!

What a fab find…. Seperate fryer, fish crumbed to order, gf Parma…. Seperate fryer and happy to say no reaction hours later…. As Molly would say-Do yourself a favour!

The service here was solid and the atmosphere of the place is lovely, great outside area for kids to play. The food however has the be the lowest quality I have ever tried (and I’ve been to most of Fremantles offerings) my chicken parmigiana was about as dry as you can imagine with no flavour at all, tiny serving for the price tag too. Our table also ordered a children’s pasta which was literally pasta with cold, tin can tomatoes poured over it. The tacos were dry and flavourless and the eggplant dish was completely cold. Genuinely baffled as I’ve never in my life sent through a 1/5 rating for food but Clancy’s was just that dreadful

Just celebrated my birthday at Tonic +Ginger, with a small group of friends. We had a fabulous time! The decor is quite unique, the ambience is great, and the food was beautifully presented and yummy! The service was impeccable, especially from Scarlett, who was just delightful. Will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work, T+G!

(reviewing Tonic + Ginger) Potentially the best abalone of my life. Gorgeous. Excellently balanced, fantastic meal. Just, wildly good. Decent amount of seafood on the menu, but if you have no allergies, just go with the chefs menu and let them choose for you.

The 2 main women staff that were waiting on us were so beautiful, the setting was gorgeous, the food delicious and the drinks free flowing were yummy. Our mains took a tiny bit long but otherwise I was So happy with our Bottomless brunch (Boozy $90pp) and I will happily be back again!

I went here for my 18th and it was so so good! We got the feed me menu, although it was pricy the quality and amount of food didn’t disappoint!

The Old Synagogue is a fantastic combination of dinning and drinking options. We enjoyed a beer from Mr Chapple before enjoying a sunset from the roof. We then dined at Tonic + Ginger, which was excellent and reviewed separately.

Sing me a song you’re the piano man!! This place was incredible, met so many interesting drunk people. Cocktails looked like art as did the drunk lady dancing in the middle of the bar! As a Spanish international we need more bars like this in Bilbao Spain

Very nice little wine Bar with amazing staff. Went there a few times now and never disappointed. Last visit was for the free entrance electro music event they start doing, super ambiance... They are only doing that once a month i think so you can still go there most times and enjoyed delicious food next to good wines in a relax atmosphere. They also have a french bistro on the same street call "Angel's house" definitely worth it as well..

Stumble across this place while looking for an afternoon snack after checking into our hotel. We ordered a cheese fondue and meat terrine. The food is very good size and tastes fantastic. We had a glass of recommended red and white to go with our food and finished off with some sparkling with Chambord and nectarines as a dessert drink. The place is beautiful and has such a relaxed feel. The staff were amazingly friendly and lovely to chat with! Love this place so will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

Small bar located just off the strip. Well stocked with a great range of options catering to all wine lovers tastes. Beer options too, though it is a wine bar so don't expect the same range (why would you?) Cosy quarters for consumption, an interesting galas fronted wine store upstairs. Staff are friendly and casual.

Whisper Wine bar has become a bit of a "go to" for us rather recently. The building from outside is so beautiful, reminiscent of a small bar in continental Europe. The wine list is extensive, with many excellent wines. And the food is delicious. We had the antipasto board and it was huge. We even managed to get some extra baguette, which was delicious by itself. Highly recommended.

Wonderful intimate wine bar, with an incredible selection of wines you can perfectly pair with a cheese board. The owner is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxed and warm.

Beautiful decor, great gourmet food, excellent drink selections. Live music great spot to spoil someone. Retro seating like a movie theatre as well as dining tables. All classy and relaxing atmosphere!

East Fremantle’s star cafe. A really popular community driven cafe/store/occasional wine bar. They stock premium health foods including delicious kombucha and cold brew coffee. The location is easily accessible with parking on the famous George St. I enjoy sitting out the front watching the cars and traffic flow by while drinking a tasty hot brew.

Great food and atmosphere. My steak sandwich was the best and my daughter had the nourish bowl with chicken. Excellent

Had a fantastic tapas style dinner here with three friends. All of the seven items we had were delicious and really enjoyed by all. The service was lovely and the decor is particularly well done. We left without having dessert as the menu was quite limited, but it was otherwise an amazing meal.

Fabulous food in East Fremantle. Quaint street and atmosphere fantastic. Serves perfect size. I had the spiced lamb, beautifully cooked and the freekah salad it was served with had fresh flavours. My companion had the Benedict from the all day breakfast menu which also looked delicious and she concurred. I had a turmeric latte, one of best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend for lunch.

Aspires to be fine dining but falls short in service & value. Came here on a very quiet Friday in winter. Waited 20 mins in the bar for a very mediocre cocktail (hilarious that they advertise cocktail classes. The staff should attend) . The food was about $10 overpriced for each dish. It wasn't too bad, it just was just very overpriced & therefore didn't live up to expectations. I had a $40 voucher from entertainment card, which helped but I won't be rushing back. The wait staff rushed us. We'd barely sat down & was asked if we wanted to order. Then after lifting our plates up they asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Ok so better than being ignored, but give us a minute.

This restaurant is in Esplanade hotel, they had changed their menu recently, we had the octopus for entrée, steak sandwich, and linguine with seafood as mains, the octopus is average, but the steak sandwich is big and tasty, very good. The pasta is good too.

Been here 5 nights and not one bit I consistently cooked food. Steak is very poor quality, the veg and the garlic mash are always cold that accompany it, the calamari has not been tough but always been cold. Only decent feed was the burger and chips

We came here for dinner thinking 'let's spend a little more tonight, have something perhaps we wouldn't usually go for'. We did have an Entertainment Book coupon though which made the price a little easier to stomach (2 for one). This brought it in line with what we'd usually spend in and around the wonderful eateries of Freo. It was prime time and the place was almost empty. On the outset the service seemed to be offhand. We ordered the Salmon and another fish dish and we waited and waited and waited. We had to wait well over an hour for our meal. We were tended to perhaps once in this whole time. We felt seriously forgotten about. Once the food was plonked on our table, we were underwhelmed. The food was honestly mediocre. It wasn't overtly bad but it was most definitely average. Considering the enormous effort so many restaurants around the area go to in terms of flavours, presentation and service, we really did find this to be quite unbelievable. We put it down to the fact that this place probably lives off being part of the hotel and doesn't live or die by it's own reputation unlike so many of the many wonderful places to eat around Freo - there's no reason to go here. We had the sense that they just didn't care. Give it a miss.

Fantastic food and service provided by Michael was brilliant and professional, the food arrived quickly and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Enjoyed it very much on a special Valentine’s Day with my wife . Keep up the good work

Went to lunch last Friday , there were 3 tables of people and we were the first to order , after waiting nearly three quarters of an hour the table who ordered last received their meals , the second table then received their meal , ten minutes later we finally received our steaks, My steak was cold and my husbands was luke warm , we complained to the waiter and he offered to recook it , on which we declined. Also when we received the meal ,the drinks we ordered were not with the meal so we again had to ask the waiter, Very poor service and we will not be back

Terrible experience beginning with rude service, an unstable table, old oysters, missing entree, poorly poured wine, 1 hr wait for desserts, and when it was brought to the managers attention he walked off appearing annoyed by the feedback. All in all a terrible, expensive cold and dull atmosphere. I would not recommend.

Came in on a Sunday session and the place has a good vibe. Has a bit of old world charm but with a modern twist and refit. Friendly staff and good selection of drinks and tasty food. Was pleasantly surprised and had a good outing.

Travelled to Perth for a holiday and came here for dinner on our first night in Fremantle. Ordered fish and chips and loaded fries for the family and was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge for a good price. The fish tasted so fresh, and the chips were perfectly crispy and nicely salted. The service of the staff was lovely too. Was a great dinner out!

Went into Freo for a meal and few drinks came across the Ball and Chain. Quite relaxed , chilled atmosphere, nice ambiance, staff quite friendly. Drinks were good....😀 Ordered Chicken and Vegetable Pizza good size for two, but didnt have much flavour..

Booked a table of 6 for the weekly Quiz Night and arrived early so we could get a meal and drink. Lukewarm welcome at best, from a curt, disinterested bar manager? His attitude didn't improve over the night and I almost apologised for having the temerity to visit this establishment. Inhospitable fellow who could do with some more customer service training. Worse was to follow with the most disorganised, shambolic quiz master. Clearly out of his depth, had too much to drink and ruined what should have been a fun night. 3 tables walked out, it was just embarrassing. Will not be back.

The pork belly, garlic prawns, rum stake, beef cheek. The pork belly was delicious, especially with the cheese. 7/10. Garlic prawns gave no indication of garlic and look like chille prawns, not much food on that dish. 5/10. Rum stake was great, best I’ve had. I’m not a stake person, and i don’t like any red on my meat, but i put up with it and it tasted great. Super soft and tender. 8/10. Beef cheek fell a part- in a good way. It was incredibly juicy and tender, it tasted weird at first but then it got good. 8/10. This place has decent service, food didn’t take too long, servers were determined and dedicated to serving. Oh, update. Just as i was typing this, the spicy Christos came very, very late. I don’t have i picture though because we didn’t want it anymore, looked good though. So, the service might not be that good. Atmosphere was decent, music good, annoying chatter of middle aged women next to our table. Pretty good.

Waited until opening because of the music and atmosphere as I walked past, such a vibe and the waitress was sweet, polite and helpful! Very disappointed the $20 margarita was served 1/4 empty; will not be ordering anything more or booking Father’s Day lunch now, sad times.

Gorgeous place serving-up fresh, flavourful food complemented by 10/10 service. We ordered the ‘Dinner for Two’ and doubled it which more than satisfied the five of us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a relaxing location in FREO where to taste a light lunch for 72 dollars for 2 people. This option included two small dishes and a main course to share. The ingredients quality was very good as well as presentation and culinary tastes. We had burrata and cherry tomatoes, eggplant with nuts and seafood rice. The service was awesome: friendly staff but very professional.

I tried a couple of cocktails and each one impressed, not just for taste but also for the way they fit the overall feel of the place. Food is another highlight. The dishes are fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavour, matching perfectly with the drinks. Everything is plated beautifully without being overdone. Nice local spot in Freo. Had the pork BBQ roll and was a hit! The misso had 3 tacos (fish, pork and halloumi). When they brought out the tacos, the waiter asked if it’s okay to have the raw egg mayo, but she wasn’t keen on it so they were awesome and happy to provide a new one without it! How awesome of them to even ask, you don’t get this type of care and service often! Great selection of craft beers too! Had a paddle and all were a treat

Had the American cheeseburger here. The beef patty was a little salty but still good. Chips were golden, crisp and nicely deep fried. Service was absolutely fantastic and they were super welcoming and accommodating. Big thumbs up!

I had the Whole Hog and my wife had the pulled pork BBQ Roll, we ordered the ice cream sandwich to share. The food was amazing, service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. We sat outside since it was a nice day, it is puppy friendly also!

Piggy Food Co is one of the best burger spots in North Freo, if not the whole of Perth! Their burgers are great value and absolutely delicious, they have such a wide variety of beers on tap with tasting paddles available too. Staff were friendly and service was nice and prompt. Truly exceeded my expectations, well done guys!

This place has always supported local breweries and wineries, which is great to see. It's got such a nice atmosphere, Friendly and welcoming. Parking is probably the main issue, but we jagged a spot directly out the front. It's definitely a spot I'd recommend to anyone visiting Fremantle. Check it out.

Great corner themed bar in the heart of Freo. Poor strategy of over filling drinks with ice reducing the paid contents making a much more expensive drink. Tables of empty drinks except for them remaining filled with ice showed it wasn’t just ours. When we removed the ice from the drink we were left with about 100mls max of liquid and froth for a $12 cocktail. Birthday girl not happy! Disappointing and sneaky. Ask for no ice.

Definitely one of the highlights of High St. The mulled wine will warm you up in the winter months. Toasties are the best bar snack. The cocktails (and mocktail too!) are amazing, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Feels like I'm cheating on Hula Bula bar but I can assure you that I love them equally!

Stopped here for a quiet gin one afternoon, drawn in by the street vibe and the staff smiles. Obviously enjoyed it too much .. left my worldly belongings behind including my wallet - but the amazing crew at Jungle Bird got in touch ASAP and were so helpful in making sure it was returned. Highly recommend for more reasons than one, definitely worth a return visit because I need to try more than one drink and also the menu looked amazing!

Came here 6 months ago, Jerk Chicken was really good. Don't know what happened but it is not good anymore, and it's not Jerk Chicken. Coriander and ginger chicken and no spices. Maybe 100g of rice and some fries thrown in. Fries are good but that's about it. $24 for disappointment.

Skip this place if you’re looking to have fun. The hostess clearly needs to relax — or find some joy in life. The bar rules are way too strict and unwelcoming. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re hoping to enjoy a good time with friends.”

Fantastic little bar with great inside and outside seating. We had a lunch included with our luxury escapes deal. Great pizzas and sat outside looking towards the harbour. Staff were excellent and helpful.

The staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to deal with, which was a nice touch considering the food was terrible. If I were the chef, I would have been embarrassed to serve McCain pizzas and dried-out chips cooked in old oil. Where was the crispy bacon? Instead, we received Coles' own bacon strips. It's a great place to stop for a drink, but I would recommend avoiding the food.

To say adults have to pay more if they order a kids menue is, in my opinion, ridiculous. Not every adult wants a full meal. It should be a normal service that guests, no matter of their age, can order a smaller portion if they dont want a big meal. I will not come back.

Visited this place for a late lunch on a Thursday. Not very busy outside however it was quite hot at the time. Nice place to eat outside with park views across the road. Ordered two spicy chicken salads and a bottle of SSB. The amount of food served was more than expected. My partner was unable to finish her meal so I finished it for her. Super tasty, chicken wasn't dry and the dressing was good. Service at the bar was satisfactory. We will be back again to dine inside.

Absolutely shocking, ordered a rare steak and received basically a “mircrowave” well done steak. Great value for $50 if you ask me… not! Never going here again!

Vegetables, 12 dollars. The serloin was very thin (my husband called it a hamburger steak) and hence, overcooked. The Tbone was ok... The veges were also ok. Nothing to rave about. Very average.

We went for an early breakfast on a Saturday morning. Food was delicious and extremely well priced. Coffee was hot which is a great change from other venues. The breakfast dumplings were a big hit!!

I’m always on the lookout for rooftop bars and stumbled across Mr Chapple from a distance. Cool building, great area and the rooftop is amazing. Nice views of Fremantle and a cool breeze. Good service and prices a well worth a visit.

My colleague and I saw the rooftop of Mr Chapple as we were driving past it the night before, so we decided to go check it out the following day. This is a converted synagogue and it’s absolutely beautiful inside. We ended up going there for three afternoons in a row, as we loved the service and the great beers they have on tap. Also, please check out that Espresso Martini — it looks like a piece of art! I’d love to go back and try out the adjacent Thai restaurant, Tonic + Ginger.

Mr. Chapple in Fremantle offers an outstanding dining experience. The food was exceptional, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the service – the manager and staff went above and beyond, proactively addressing a minor delay in our meals without any prompting. It’s rare to see such attentiveness, and it really made a difference. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for any occasion. Despite the brief hiccup with timing, the overall experience was fantastic. Delicious food, excellent service, and a great vibe make Mr. Chapple a place I’ll happily return to and highly recommend to others.

We have drank and eaten here quite a few times. It is one of our favourites when in Freo, which is rather frequently. Today we had a glass of the Clare Valley Riesling and a couple of share plates. The chicken bao and the beef brisket skewers. Both delicious. Highly recommended.

We had the best time at a Bottomless lunch for a friends birthday and couldn't rate the service or food more. Simon in particular was a great host for our table and was constantly topping up our drinks and making sure we were happy. 10/10 experience and it was the best bottomless we have ever been too. 👌

Went here for Friday night drinks. Was a casual vibe on the upper floor not alot of room but enough for casual eats and a few drinks to get the night started. Ventured down stairs to the lower bar where they opened the vat and DJ moved later in the evening. Chill view and played some great old school beats. Loved the hidden bar with piano player. Drinks are an average $13+ Staff members quick on their feet for large crowds.

Had low expectations after the bottomless brunch at the Crown, but The Arbor was brilliant! Service from Jess and Olivia was top notch. Food was delicious and the cocktails were fab. Highly recommend.

A fun open-air nightclub with lively energy. There are 3 different floors with different moods, from clubby dance areas to fresh-air spaces. Loved their throwback 2000s pop music and solid drink selection when we visited.

My sister and I enjoyed the most fantastic customer service from James. The outdoor heaters were not working and he generously went and got blankets! The bar staff were fab, our snacks were hot and tasty and James just made the night with his “going the extra mile”. Would highly recommend!

Great friendly place with nice staff. But the food was terrible. The parmi was severely burnt.... I can't believe how the cook let it leave the kitchen! The schnitz wrap was rather small, covered with chips, even though the menu mentioned no chips?

We love the building, lots of nice historical artefacts and pictures. Quite nostalgic feel. My only disappointment was we were sitting originally outside. Tables were marked no smoking, but sadly, there were few people smoking outside. It stank so bad of cigarettes it was so disgusting, so we moved inside. The food is OK. Great place to have a get-together and share food. Our steak was a little chewy, though. The service was awesome. Friendly and helpful people. Overall, it was OK.

Never thought I would say this, but I had THE WORST service ever in this bar. Bartender forgot our drinks, served a large group of 6 that ordered AFTER us first, was EXTREMELY aggressive when I came to check on the drinks. Drinks came out after incredibly long wait and one glass was 30% filled, another one 70% filled. After highlighting the issue he looks you dead in the eye and says drinks are fine. Absolutely ruined our night. On top of that, drinks were below average quality as well.

Feels like stepping into the hull of a pirate ship, complete with wooden decor and peanut shells on the floor - almost theme park-like. It’s a small space that fills up quickly. The menu includes a few barrel-aged options using fairly mainstream spirits. The Negroni was enjoyable but leaned a bit sweet and watered down. The Old Fashioned had a good blend, though could have used a bolder rum. Overall, a fun vibe with friendly staff - great for a casual drink.

Came here for a quick drink and nibbles before dinner down the road but would definitely go back to try the main food because the small bites were delicious - lovely pita with za’atar and marinated olives with the gaia notio red. Prompt service despite a very busy Saturday night crowd. Great vibes if you’re looking for good feels on a sat night with your mates but chill at the same time with good music on records. Maybe just a wee bit on the loud side given how busy it is inside but great wee find!

Perfect Sunday afternoon. The food, the beer, the wine and the staff….all quality. The value for money is extraordinary. The ambience can’t be bought. “Ode to Sirens.” Not kitsch, not clique an ode to the sirens of the 60’s and 70’s, with a Grecian bent. Beautiful.

Our only regret is that we waited so long to check out Ode To Sirens, as there is so much to love. There's an awesome vibe as you walk in the door, with fab music and the chatter of friends. The wine and drinks list is fabulous, with lots of great options by the glass or bottle. And the food - amazing! We tried a few dishes, and each were delicious. We loved the simplicity of each dish, with maximum flavours.

Favorite place to go for a drink and a chat. Food is great too! Staff are so friendly. There is always something going on here. Karaoke, quiz nights, DJ, plus they have games and a Photo Booth. This place has a genuinely great vibe. The staff engage you while they get your drinks ready.

I go to this bar every single Sunday for karaoke. The owner, workers, and other regulars have truly made it such a safe and comfort space for me. Unbiasedly, the food is SO good ! I don’t eat meat anymore, but the chook burger is to DIE for !! And the late night ramen is soooo good !! The cocktails are super creative and always taste good ! They tend to have themed cocktails based on event nights which is so fun !! Shoutout to all the workers there ! love you all 🫶

I sipped the Splice Splice Baby—a fun, fruity cocktail—and swayed along to the inclusive, upbeat energy. The place was playful, warm, and unapologetically bold. A sparkling and welcoming bar—I’ll return for the crowd alone.

Went to see the Sea Shanties last night, they were great and the room well laid out for everyone to see. The only niggle we had was waiting for a drink - 1 person the majority of the time serving a sold out performance isn't really good enough.

Went there for dinner tonight, and ordered food gradually. Food and drinks were delicious plus half-price cocktails on Wednesdays! Staff were very attentive, and created an enjoyable evening for our table. Would very much recommend to everyone and look forward to coming back again.

Had a fantastic evening at The Old Courthouse with my partner! The venue itself is full of charm and character, blending heritage with a lively atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be served by Marcus behind the bar, who was not only friendly and attentive but also knew his way around a cocktail shaker ,made the whole experience that much better. We ordered the porterhouse steak, and it absolutely delivered — perfectly cooked to medium-rare, juicy, and packed with flavour. The sides were generous, and everything was plated beautifully. Highly recommend it if you’re after a quality steak. Great service, great food, and an even better vibe. Will definitely be back! 👌

Had a really good experience at the Old Courthouse in Fremantle, and Marcus, one of the food service staff, definitely added to it. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure everything ran smoothly without being over the top. He gave a few solid menu recommendations and checked in just enough to make sure we were looked after. The food was great — fresh and well put together — and the service made the visit even better. I’ll be coming back soon with some friends. Good food and genuinely good service make it an easy choice.

We went after the Jazz show at Freo Social on Thursday. They have GF options for pizza, hamburgers and other items. I had a prisoner hamburger with GF chips. It was very tasty as was my husbands’s procuito pizza. A bit breezy ..perfect in summer. A bit spartan.

I shared a plate of crisp calamari and a smoky negroni, leaning against the counter as music pulsed behind glass. Staff greeted regulars by name, giving it that neighbourhood feel. Vibrant without effort—I’ll visit again on a midweek treat.

All the bar staff have made the experience the best it could be every time I come to this bar which makes it my go to in freo. The bar is also one of if not the best in freo!

This bar has been an absolute gem since it opened around the corner. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and that’s all down to the incredible staff and the owner, who is always so accommodating and genuinely cares about the experience you have. The live music has been a highlight there’s always such a great vibe, and it makes every visit feel special. Espresso martinis… easily the best I’ve had in a long time! Whether it’s for a relaxed catch-up or a night of good tunes and drinks, this place has quickly become my go to. Can’t recommend it enough!

Last night, we dined in the bar side of Moon & Mary. The layout and location are fabulous - we loved looking out at the markets, oval, and synagogue. The interior is softened with lots of plants and dim lighting, making it quite inviting. Rather than table service, you order at the bar of via the app (which generally we're very happy to do). Looking over the menu, the bar snacks were definitely the highlight, which was also reflected in the food. We started with the crab and prawn wontons, duck wontons, and chilli squid - all 3 dishes were delicious with sauces that complimented each item. We then had the tamarind and lime crispy fish, with a side of rice. Unfortunately, the rice came out 5 mins after the fish. While the fish was tasty, the dish was lacking any sauce, which was a bit disappointing and definitely not as good as the entrees. We decided to try the parfait dessert. This is where the service started to drop off. We sat at our table for a good 15 minutes with no one clearing our plates. When our dessert arrived, it was dropped off so quickly that our pile of plates was ignored, and the staff member spun away before we could speak to him. After several attempts to get someone's attention, we gave up. The dessert was tasty enough. Overall, we enjoyed the entrees and ambience, so we will try again. We would also like to try the dining area, which is only open on Friday or Saturday. At this stage, we would recommend it as a place to grab a drink and enjoy some bar snacks.

Foods great and awesome staff. The Soft Shell Crab was the winner on the night, but check out this cool wine list! Nice to see a good range of wines by the glass as well. Give the house vodka and Gin a look too, well done.

Finally got the chance to dine here today. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Most of the dishes were delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the prawns and crab dumplings—absolutely packed with flavour.

Had a wonderful lunch at Moon & Mary. The food really packs a punch, very favourful. The cocktails were fantastic too, especially the spicy paloma. There are some great private rooms and function spaces. The service was excellent and its table service now. Only not so good part was that it was very noisy in the main room with lots of big groups. Fun atmospehere though and in summer when they open the roof and windows in that area it will be amazing!!!!

The short version: well-below expectation food, good service, fantastic location. We had wanted to try Moon and Mary since they opened. Last Saturday night we did a speculative “walk in” and the staff were terrific - they made us welcome and gave us a nice table for two in the Dining Room. Moon and Mary has been beautifully designed with multiple eating zones fed from one kitchen. They have preserved the heritage, and nicely decorated the place. It’s a really lovely atmosphere and setting for a great night out. Firstly: shout out to whoever designed the cocktails. We had three (one a non-alcoholic version) and they were the best we have had in a long time. Refreshing, not cloyingly sweet, interesting, and not super high alcohol. The server asked how we wanted the dishes to arrive, and the food arrived just as he said. But the kitchen was having a bad night. We ordered six dishes from the tasting/sharing and dumpling menus. First dish of dumplings arrived lukewarm and were cold when eaten, and pretty bland. The deep fried wontons were over-cooked (pastry dark and hard). The meat filling was a lump of pretty ordinary sausage type meat (or at least tasted like it after being fried too long). The barramundi was quite nice - not memorable but pleasant. The cauliflower and tofu dish was ok I guess… it was finely chopped, heavily sauced and cooked very soft. Once again not unpleasant, but not memorable. One bright note was the pumpkin: still firm but well cooked with a nice topping of sauce and flavoured bits. The pork belly bites were really bad: overcooked until hard and dry. Inedible really. We rarely complain in restaurants but this was like something out of a servo bain-marie We tried one piece and told the server we couldn’t eat it. This is where Moon and Mary redeemed themselves. The staff member has obviously been well trained because she apologised immediately on behalf of the restaurant, said she would pass on the feedback to the kitchen, and offered another dish or for us not to be charged for the dish. No defensiveness or attitude. Top marks to Moon and Mary for the way she handled it, and indeed every interaction we had with their front of house people was the same. So we have mixed feelings: beautiful venue, really nice and professional front of house staff, but food court level food (on the night we went at least). Reading the other reviews and this seems to be a bit of a theme. It’s like the kitchen management needs a reset or rethink. Or something. That means we probably won’t go back… too many other great options in Freo who have never let us down. It’s a real shame given the work that has been put in to set up Moon and Mary.

Service was nice but food was lacking. Flavour poor, wow factor zero. Feel like it was cooked by a home cook on a wednesday night. Was offered a dessert due to dissatisfaction, but left to get food else where.

had a lovely dinner the other night with jayda taking amazing care of me and my friends. her service was impeccable and she really connected with us. the food was alright, we had the lamb dumplings, sirloin steak and the fries. the dumplings were alright but they had a really yummy sauce. the chips were deliciously crispy and salty, probably the best dish of the night haha. the steak was ok, we ordered medium rare but it was closer to medium well. one thing i do really commend though is the cocktails, they were amazing!!!! recommend the pandan one if you have a sweet tooth like me. i would definitely recommend giving this place a go.

I had the most incredible birthday celebration at Who’s Your Mumma on Saturday 01/06/2024. Ben was incredibly helpful in planning the event via email, and Mason made sure that everything I needed was sorted on the night. The cocktails are amazing with a great list and options to customise. The food is fantastic, with dietary options for vegan, vegetarian and low gluten. I loved the crispy potato and crispy cauliflower! The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The vibe inside is gorgeous, for a causal drink or something more. I definitely would recommend this bar for a drink and nibbles or an event!

Very nice bar with seated booths and some board games. Staff are very friendly and will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your experience. Jule and the chef did an excellent job

Cool cocktail bar. Drinks were prefect, food was great, and staff were friendly. What else can you ask for! Great place to go for a quick but and drink or stay there all day and night.

I love Who's Your Mumma, it's in a great location, bit out of the main Fremantle strip and lovely outdoor seats, perfect for watching the world go by on summer or winter days. Food and drinks are well priced, but not a huge selection of on tap beers, but good cocktail prices. If you just fancy a snack, I cannot highly enough recommend the Turkish bread and dips!

Beer was cold, chips were hot, Andy's service was amazing at a beautiful price point!

Having read through some of the other reviews before drafting this, I think those complaining about dismissiveness or not being acknowledged just need to be a little more patient. We also had a bit of a wait and some initial confusion about how and where to order, but after they worked through a bit of a drinks backlog (understandably it takes time to make unique cocktails one by one), we were given the attention and care needed to explain our ingredient preferences for a cocktail to be created. I paid $25 for each cocktail and would certainly come back to enjoy the cosy atmosphere and incredible cocktail creativity.

The Gimlet was a great cosy spot in the heart of Fremantle , no menu but tell the creator behind the Gin Bar what drink you like and flavours and they make an amazing cocktail for you - loved the concept and atmosphere- cute little fire burning in the corner - so inviting and quiet . Would definitely come back .

I love cocktail bars where you can just say what you like and they then take it from there. There’s no menu but that wasn’t a problem. My cocktail was delightful! Service was kind and the vibes good as it has that cozy feeling going on.

I visited Gimlet Gin Bar last weekend, it caught my eye as this place looks so cute from the outside. The inside space is small and cozy, the building’s interior made me feel like I walked into a bar from the early 1900s. Gimlet does not have a cocktail menu, so instead you are asked what flavours you enjoy in cocktails, at first I was thrown as I am so used to a cocktail menus. It took me a few minutes to think about what flavours I like but I quickly got the hang of it and was given three of the best cocktails I have ever had. I just love ordering this way, it is a surprise every time you get your drink. The three cocktail flavours I ordered were cinnamon/ginger, cherry and earl grey. I look forward to returning to Gimlet when I am next In WA. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable and really know and respect their craft! There is a also a small outdoor seating.

A truly unique and charming gin and cocktail bar nestled in the historic prison cottages. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was captivated by its classy and comfortable ambiance. The personalized service was impeccable, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. The setting itself is a marvel, with the history of the old prison cottages adding a distinctive character to the experience. The atmosphere is relaxing and sophisticated, complemented perfectly by soothing music that created the ideal backdrop for an evening of indulgence. The selection of bespoke gins and expertly crafted cocktails is impressive. No menu. Each drink prepared with care and presented beautifully. Sam’s knowledge and passion for his craft was evident, and his recommendations were spot on. The drinks were amazing. We came as strangers (on a short work visit from Brisbane) and left as friends. This bar oozes charm, offering a delightful escape from the ordinary. If you're looking for a memorable and intimate drinking experience, this hidden gem is not to be missed. Five stars, without a doubt!

Amazing cocktail BUT absolutely shocked at the price ($31!). No transparency before you order.. just a rude shock after you’ve enjoyed it. Having said that, yes it was amazing but I think it’s only fair to share approximate cost prior to ordering.

Randomly stumbled across this place. They have a little fire pit going. Good beer. And I guess if you stay at the connected hotel you get free wine and cheese board. Looked decent enough. The beer was made by them few selections. Very drinkable. The pale ale and IPA were my favorites. If you are looking for a pint stop by!

Decent average beers and no off flavours. The IPA is muted and leaves something to be desired. Beers are not distinctive, balanced. Quiet off the Main Street vibes. Relaxed place to chill with a variety of seating, and music ( not too loud).

Small tucked away brewery off the main strip in Fremantle. It’s associated with a hotel and they have a happy hour for guests but outsiders are welcome to join (paid) too. Had a nice WA rosé here and enjoyed the music and vibe though if you’re peckish be warned they don’t serve any food off the menu until 6 though there is Brie, salami, gherkins and focaccia for $15 per pax during happy hour

Located next to Hougoumont Hotel, happy hour is 5-6pm. Has a firepit and a decent variety of drafts, ciders, and wine. Not too crowded on a Monday evening, which is nice because guests can hear each other talk.

This is a nice little micro brewery. There are 5-6 beers on tap. Dark larger, ipa and xpa. Friend bar staff. Being mainly outside the furniture is a bit shabby and past its date. Not to much in the way of food. This is nice place to just stop in and try have a beer.

Came here for a quick wine, lovely staff, beautiful spot. Great ambience and sweet jazzy tunes, give it a try! Shoutout to Amber for handling a couple of wine connoisseurs.

Indeed a date night place and the decor aligns with the expectations. Fun to find the establishment with care taken to prepare the drinks right. The rounded seatings do remind me of a 60s decor like in the movies.

Absolute hidden gem right in the centre of Freo! We had five star service from a lovely bartender called Jack all night! He made us a classic cocktail (blood & sand) which was fantastic.

Absolutely deafening. Piano player trying really hard to entertain, but sound was muddy where we were (no soft baffles for acoustics, just a lot of hard walls and ceiling, plus everyone shouting to be heard). Maybe nicer on a quieter night, but maybe there isnt live piano those nights? Love the decor and effort on the cocktail menu, but sadly let down by acoustics. Maybe I'm just old! I'd love to try this place on a quieter night

I had the opportunity to come to this secret bar. I love the style of the bar with beautiful lighting, the old school style. It reminds me of the jazz bars I knew a few years ago in Paris. In addition to the very atypical atmosphere, the cocktails served by "Guy" are also carefully concocted, beautiful and excellent. He is fast, very professional. I tasted : mon cheri espresso, and another cocktail which will soon be on the menu. If I could make a criticism, I would say that it's a "Chaim" (shame) not to have a box for tips and/or a QR code for tips. When I'm in Perth again I would definitely come back. Thank you Guy!

Stumbled upon this little gem last night on our way out of the main venue (we felt about 15 years older than the age requirement and felt bed a better option) and was so presently surprised! Cute as hell speakeasy with an awesome musician on the piano playing some old favourites - think Elton - awesome bar staff who really made our experience extra fun and a great cocktail 🍸 Varied ages from 20-65 and a great vibe!

A beautiful hidden cocktail bar underneath the old synagogue which is well styled and has a funky vibe. But that's where the fun stopped ... Upon entering the premises we got two grumpy bartenders , tired and unenthusiastic 😐 I ordered two cocktails. One was good, but the old fashioned was watered down, and used an entire wedge of orange in my drink. Are the bartenders trained in making cocktails?? $46 for two cocktails, you'd expect it to be fantastic. We didn't order , we didn't stick around for more drinks as it was so loud and hot and stuffy. Shame because the open mic piano would of been lovely if it's done properly. I'd suggest someone in management to do a mystery shopper here and resolve some of the unfortunate issues which is suffers from if you want a true cocktail bar experience. Has a lot of potential.

Great cocktails, nice little bar for Fremantle, good place for after dinner drinks will certainly be back again soon
