Historic Sites
The Home of Alexandros Papadiamantis is a museum located in Skiathos Town, housed in the 19th-century former home of the renowned Greek writer. The museum showcases personal items belonging to the author and various folklore pieces. This humble house, built by Papadiamantis' father in 1860, stands as a representative example of local folk architecture. It remains unaltered, offering visitors a glimpse into the writer's life and the island's cultural heritage.
A very nice, authentic space for the life and work of writer Alexander Papadiamantis. Short but concise tour by the lady in charge.
Petros P — Google review
Papadiamantis' house museum is a bit tricky to find, but if you miss it you haven't missed much. The square outside is attractive, with a lovely pine tree providing shade, and a cafe. I paid my 4 euros admission but was disappointed. It's very small, not much to see, so unless you want something historical to do on a rainy day, or have a particular interest in Papadiamantis as a possibly under-rated writer, it's not worth doing in my opinion. Ten minutes was more than enough, all the rooms are small apart from the cellar converted now to a library. And most of the exhibits are explained only in Greek. There are some pictures and manuscripts for history buffs, but remember the manuscripts are in Greek! There is a cupboard with his crockery etc. The museum guide gave some interesting information about him and his most famed novel - "The Murderess" (1903). That sounded gruesome - but socially significant, and well ahead of its time. Look it up on Wikipedia, I did - it has a very interesting theme. You also get a small explanatory two-page booklet in English, with a 1906 photo of him, and a free pencil. To write with... not a bad idea.
Derek P — Google review
Quaint little museum right in the centre of Skiathos town in the street named after him. Worth a visit if in the area and you're interested in history ; however it's pretty small . There were some interesting artefacts and examples of the author's work on display, but not a lot else . Entry fee 5 EUR per person and they only accept cash. There was an adjacent gift shop; I didn't buy anything so can't comment on price etc. Nice to linger in the shaded square afterwards and observe passers by, including cats of course! 🐈

Too bad that the house remains close even in May. These house is one of the great cultural interest of the city of Skiathos, about one of the best writer of the 20th century, and a greek one !!! Please put, at least the True information on the Web site and the date of opening if you plan to open it one Day. A very desapointed visiter. We are saturday 3rd of octobre 17h45. the house is supposedto be opened since 17h if we can beleive what you put on internet. But it still close ! You are much better to use the name of this great writer than to honor his memory. Shame on you. You dont deserve him ! And you dont serve your island. One more time I send you all my deception.
Christine B — Google review
5 Euro for 5 minutes tour (Just three rooms). Typical greek house. Nothing more. If you want to connect with the famous writer better to buy one of hus book and read it during your vacations.
ΓΙΑΝΝΗΣ Φ — Google review
I'm not one to review, but I thought this deserved one. I never got to enter the museum - it was locked during the opening hours, when I asked when the museum would be open, the blonde lady inside rudely told me she didn't know. I was hoping to buy an English version of his most famous novel, oh well.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Paralia Megali Ammos is a narrow 2km long sandy beach, popular among both locals and tourists due to its proximity to Skiathos Town. The seafront is lined with hotels, eateries, and water sports equipment rental shops, giving it a typical Greek resort feel. Families will appreciate the shallow waters and organized sunbeds while those seeking seclusion can find quieter spots by walking east past the rocks.
It’s a nice city beach only a few minutes walk from the city center. It also has nice Tavernas.
Roland P — Google review
Terrible Experience – Not Coming Back I had high hopes for this beach bar, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. The service was incredibly slow and the staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. It took over 30 minutes just to get a simple drink, and when it finally arrived, it was watery and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The place was also filthy – tables were sticky, trash was piling up near the bar, and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. For a beach location, you’d expect at least a relaxed, clean vibe, but instead it felt chaotic and neglected. The music was way too loud and not even good – just repetitive club tracks blasting with no regard for the time of day or the type of crowd. Not the chill beach atmosphere I was hoping for. Way overpriced for what you get. There are much better options nearby. Avoid this place if you want to actually enjoy your day at the beach.
Bojan S — Google review
Good beach, there are some waves but they get stronger when boats pass by. Water is mostly clear and pretty warm, the sand has some pebbles, not too much. Be sure to visit other beaches in Skiathos, this isnt the only one on the island.
Luka L — Google review
Fair city beach. I dislike going through restaurants to just reach the sand, but oh well. It's not a big sand area but it has free zones and a shop/taverna in a ruin building. If you come prepared it's perfect for a horosalata on the beach 😂
Marin K — Google review
the beach is wonderful and sandy there are good taverns and nice bars
Наталия К — Google review
Very walkable from Skiathos town centre. Worth the walk on a hot day
Karl W — Google review
We spent one day here as the beach is next to our hotel. It was quiet and good to relax. The umbrella with 2 seats was 22 euro, all clean and with a friendly service.
IF — Google review
While everyone kept saying to avoid city beach, we had no problem with it. The sea is the same as everywhere else in Skiathos - warm and clear, with the exception of smaller waves that bring some of the grass in the shallow water. The prices of sunbeds go from 15 to 30 € depending on the place. At the sole begging of the beach the sunbeds are 15 € but in the middle the prices are 30€. There is however no place on the sand to put your towel down.

Island
Skiathos is a Greek island known for its over 60 sandy beaches, including the renowned Koukounaries beach, which has been rated as one of the best in the world. The island offers a variety of beach experiences, from naturist beaches like Banana Beach to easily accessible ones along the main road. Impressive white rock formations; small round pebbles (which is what lalaria means in Greek), beautifully clean waters and the “hollow rock” standing …Skiathos is known for its beaches; which is due to the 64 sandy beaches that surround this small island; incredible, magical beaches that can be visited on

Skiathos is the perfect combination of lush greenery (especially pine forests) and incredible beaches with golden sand. Here you can find both busy, well-organised places (like Kukunaris) and quieter bays. The capital of the island is charming: narrow streets, white houses and many bars and restaurants. The island is ideal for those looking for crystal clear water, relaxation and at the same time lively evening life. Be sure to visit!

Beautiful Greek island. You can see traditional Greek houses, streets etc. I recommend visiting highest point of the city, church of saint Nicolaus from where you will see whole city and beautiful scenery. The city breathes with traditional atmosphere. You can walk through the streets for hours and still find beautiful views.

So small, yet so powerful with so nice smell in the air, great beaches, crystal clear water and pine woods. You can enjoy here in sunbathing, swimming, hiking, excellent food, relaxation. From urban to wild nature, from see to mountain, from social life to monastery. All so close, 20-30 min from one side of an island to another. Amazing!

The Holy Monastery of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary, also known as the Monastery of Evangelistrias, is a historic 18th-century monastery located about 5 km north of Skiathos Town. It can be reached by a one-hour hike, infrequent bus service, or a quick 10-minute drive by car.
What a place. High in the hills it was tranquil, serene , clean and green. We hired a quad to get there to add to the experience. We paid 2euros to visit the museum, it was def worth the money! The courtyard was an oasis of calm and tranquility THEN - there was the cafe ! We had brunch. It was the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. NOTE - their card machine wasn’t working. So, if you want coffee or food take some euros
Scott M — Google review
This is a beautiful Monastery to visit if you want a break from the summer heat. We stayed a couple of hours which was enough to explore the buildings and have refreshments in the cafe. It was easy to get to from Skiathos Town on an air-conditioned mini bus. It didn't cost to get in the monastery but it was €2 to enter the museum. The cafe was lovely and served lots of delicious dishes and we opted for baklava, lemon cake, fresh orange juice and Greek coffee.
Emma C — Google review
Well worth the visit, quite close, accessible by bus from bus station 0, 1 hour us quite enough for everything, even a cup of coffee. I loved how they used a 1 leva Bulgarian coin that features saint Ivan Rilski on the museum. Very informative labels even in the shop. The small coffee nearby is also quite good and scenic.
Marin K — Google review
Impressive and beautiful. Exquisite gardens and views! Also don’t miss the local ahop that sells a large variety of in house produced jams, soaps, liquors as well as religious items

Beach
Mikros Aselinos beach is located in the northwestern part of Skiathos island, alongside Megalos Aselinos. Accessible by a 25-minute drive from Skiathos Town, these sandy beaches offer a serene escape. While Megalos Aselinos features a bar and taverna, Mikros Aselinos provides a quieter atmosphere. Both beaches boast picturesque greenery against the backdrop of clear blue waters and white pebbly sand.
This is a peach of a nature (no nudist!) beach and a breath away from the noisy places of the area, at list until the small bay is visited by some small boats with loud music and drunken youngsters (but this doesn’t last for long as it seems they prefer other places to piss people off). The beach has set umbrella owned by the small bar/tavern on the side, which cost 13 euro per set, good price indeed. There are not many umbrella as the beach itself is not big, so early arrival preferable. Access to the beach, once your vehicle is left on the curb of the rough road above, is via a short and steep walk, but nothing too steep and accessible also with children, roughly 5 mins at max. The umbrella part of the beach is sandy and being natural is mixed with small wooden stick from the winter seas. The water side has mixed placed with both sand and rock or either with one one of them: you will find a place to like for sure. The beach is locate in a small-bay like with high rock walls aside, extremely pretty. The usual fishes in the crystal waters. Beautiful. There is a small bar/mini tavern on the side so you have all the comforts.
D B — Google review
a hidden and intimate beach with a beautiful color of the sea. quite an ugly approach to the beach, but it is worth the suffering because of the peace you can find there.
Petrina M — Google review
Beautiful beach with great bar. Even if the sunbeds are all occupied, the guy offered us another one so we could stay. The place is calm and not overcrowded, little bit windy. Totally recommend.
Matěj G — Google review
Mikros Aselinos Beach is a lovely spot on Skiathos that's definitely worth the visit. You can reach it either by boat or by taking a scenic walk down a path—just keep in mind that it's not accessible by wheelchair. The beach is quiet and offers a peaceful setting with clear waters, ideal for a swim. There are sunbeds available, making it easy to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. There’s also a small kiosk that serves snacks and drinks, and their huge omelet made with fresh eggs is a real treat! If you're on a boat trip around Skiathos, this is a great place to take a break, unwind, and enjoy some delicious food. Highly recommend stopping here!
Andreas T — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Skiathos. It is a small beach, well laid out, with sunbeds, umbrellas and a small taverna. The sea water is clear, it is quiet and the scenery is serene. The taverna staff are very nice and the food very good. We came here 3 times during our vacation. Higly recommend.

History Museums
Skiathitiko Spiti is a museum in Skiathos Town that offers visitors a comprehensive history of the island. The house has a rich and interesting family history, with many artifacts on display for visitors to explore. During World War II, German soldiers stayed in the house for two months and showed respect, leaving without causing any damage. The guided tour provided by the owners is highly recommended as they are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.
On tour with my colleagues to learn about Skiathos the lovely family welcomed us with a filoxenia spirit. Marena and Fotini are lovely. Highly recommended visit.
Julia P — Google review
Stepping into the Skiathitiko Spiti Museum is like being transported back in time. This beautifully preserved, early 20th-century traditional house is a true testament to the rich heritage and way of life on Skiathos. It's not just a collection of artifacts; it's a living, breathing story of a family and an island. From the moment you enter, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine charm. The meticulous care taken to restore and maintain the house is evident in every detail. The ground floor, with its traditional furnishings, fireplace, and vintage textiles, truly paints a picture of daily life. The hand-knitted bamboo chairs and the stunning 1883 chandelier are particular highlights that showcase the craftsmanship of the era. Upstairs, the exhibits continue to captivate. The family loom, old photographs spanning generations, and personal heirlooms offer an incredibly intimate glimpse into the lives of those who once called this house home. It's fascinating to see documents from the late 1800s and early 1900s, adding a layer of historical depth. What truly elevates the experience is the personal touch. The owners, who are descendants of the family that lived here, often provide guided tours, sharing anecdotes and insights that bring the house and its history to life. Their passion for preserving their family's legacy and the island's traditions is infectious. The Skiathitiko Spiti Museum is a private initiative, and it's clear that this is a labor of love. It offers a unique and authentic experience that you won't find in larger, more impersonal museums. If you're looking to delve deeper into the cultural tapestry of Skiathos beyond its stunning beaches, this museum is an absolute essential. Allow yourself to be enchanted by this charming piece of living history – you won't be disappointed!

A very unique experience, of a traditional Island Greek house. The owner ( great great grand daughter an absolutley friendly lady )of the original owner showed us around the house, telling us about the history of the house, up untill 5 or so years ago they used to live in that house Before they opened it to the public. The owner, told us of the history, and also the historical items in the house, especially one vase (over 2200 years old) stands prominent in the downstairs living room. The tour continues upstairs showing how her great great grandmother lived and her sea faring ancestors. The tour finished with a drink brewed by the family. If you are ever in Skiathos and want a unique insight, I thoroughly recommend this.

A really lovely little museum put together with so much love and care by the great grand children of the original owners of the house. One if the family showed us round in a guided tour and gave time and attention to answer our questions! We even got to see their lovely tortoises! A bargain at 2.50€! Well worth a visit! Thank you so much.

The house turned into a museum is a real treasure. We were impressed by the stories we heard, the kindness of the host, the wealth of objects passed down from generation to generation and which recreate the atmosphere of the old times. To better understand the island and its inhabitants, you must visit Skiathitiko Spiti and learn about their history!

Great experience of being inside an authentic house of a rich family from Skiathos that lived there for the last two centuries. A very cheap admission ticket includes a short excursion in English and Greek and even a shot of a homemade liquer. All artefacts are original and carefully collected by several generations of this family. Definitely recommended to visit! Books are offered too.

La Piscine Art Hotel is a trendy adults-only property located in a peaceful area, just a 5-minute walk from the center of Skiathos. The hotel features an Olympic-sized outdoor pool and offers free breakfast to its guests. The staff aims to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, ensuring that visitors have a relaxing holiday experience. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine made with local organic products at the award-winning Crazy Cow Restaurant on-site.
My partner & I have just returned from a week at La Piscine Art and we had a fabulous stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by all of the team from the front office, the bar, and housekeeping. Everything was extremely clean, the bathroom was fabulous towels were refreshed frequently. The breakfast was fresh, and coffee strong how we like it. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and they took a real pride in their hotel & service. I have worked for a number of years in some of Londons largest hotels as an Exec member of the team both front and back of house and can honestly say La Piscine Art hotel team are some of the friendliest employees I have met. A fantastic experience and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Location for us was perfect, a short walk to the port and all of the nightlife.
David B — Google review
Unfortunately, the hotel fell significantly short of the standards expected from a 5-star establishment. This misrepresentation not only diminished the quality of my holiday but also resulted in an unjustified tourism tax charge of €150 — a fee applicable only to verified 5-star accommodations. This unexpected expense had a direct impact on our holiday plans. We had budgeted carefully for activities and excursions, and the €150 charge forced us to cancel several experiences we had looked forward to. It was deeply frustrating to sacrifice parts of our itinerary due to a cost that should never have applied in the first place. Several aspects of the hotel were clearly below the expected standard: Shared Balcony: A lack of privacy due to shared balcony access is unacceptable in a hotel of this supposed calibre. Aging Room Facilities: The room was visibly dated, with rust in the shower tray, an out dated television. Poor General Maintenance: Numerous areas of the hotel showed signs of neglect. Around the pool area, there were broken fixtures and surfaces, and the artificial grass was shabby and worn, detracting from the overall appearance and comfort of the space. On the plus side, I would like to acknowledge that the staff were excellent — consistently polite, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Their service was a redeeming feature in an otherwise disappointing experience. Excellent pool and location. These issues collectively paint a picture of a hotel that is misrepresented in promotional materials and does not warrant its 5-star classification.
Mickey B — Google review
This hotel is a little gem. Just 10 min walk to bars restaurants and the harbour. Food was amazing. Rooms were spotless, beds were so comfortable, can’t fault this hotel in any way. The staff went over and above, they tweaked the food so it was to our liking. Absolutely amazing.

A great adult only hotel with the friendliest staff. The hotel is well situated and only a ten minute walk from the town. The food is excellent, we had friends visit us who were staying at other hotels and everyone said that they preferred the la piscine, we will definitely be back

Loved this hotel . Great location, lots of bars and restaurants . Comfy beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great choice at breakfast. Only negative I can say was not enough sunbeds they were lovely and comfortable though . There are plenty of chairs around .

La Piscine Art Hotel is exceptional. The hotel is a true gem of Skiathos. The location is perfect – peaceful yet close to everything. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Rooms were deep cleaned daily, and even the housekeeping team was so lovely and welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning, with excellent facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. We loved it so much, we rebooked before we even left! Can’t recommend it highly enough. Only suggestion we have, is somewhere to hang wet clothing outside - potentially some sort of washing line or dryer. In addition, the balcony was very hot to sit on while in direct sunlight until around 3/4pm, some sort of parasol or cover wouldn’t have went a miss. Other than that, was bloody perfect!

This hotel is registered a 5* and it definately is not. 4* at best. Staff are fabulous. Happy, friendly and accomodating. The Swimming pool is clean and well maintained, open 8-8. The bedroom beds are massive. I upgraded to a superior room and emailed to ask for a quiet room. We were given a room next to the lifts and the cleaners cupboard, which also had a tiny balcony! Not impressed for an upgrade! Room had a fridge, iron/board, and tea/coffee facilities, safe and plenty of storage. A bottle of water daily. The bathroom needs upgrading and maintaining. There is a towel round at 6pm if you need more dry towels for showering. There are pool towels at the bar. We found the hotel "clicky"...many guests go every year at the same time and all meet up - I suspect that is why we got a worse room than expected. Breakfast is ok. Buffet for hot food, fruits, youghurt, pastries, omelette bar. I found the food cold at times. It was adequate. It takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to the harbour. Would we stay at this hotel again....not so sure we would, for the price. Skiathos is a lovely place to visit. Plenty of hospitality, boat trips, beaches. Absolutely wonderful people. Only 15 mintes taxi ride to the airport.

Airport
Skiathos International Airport Alexandros Papadiamantis is situated on the picturesque island of Skiathos, part of the Sporades group in Greece. The island boasts stunning sandy beaches like Koukounaries and clear blue waters, making it a popular tourist destination. Most accommodations and dining options are concentrated along the south coast near Skiathos Town, the capital. The airport is conveniently located about 1.
Airport is so small but so efficient, very clean and toilets spotless. Getting through arrivals and departures so quick definitely a bonus. Just outside airport at start/end of runway, you can get some awesome pictures or video of takeoff and landings. 😁👋👨‍✈️✈️🛩🛫🛬
Michelle B — Google review
The airport is quite small and compact, which makes orientation easier. The security checks were somewhat unusual and seemed a bit unstructured. Drinks and food are extremely expensive, which makes the stay less pleasant. Nevertheless, it departures are very punctual, which is a positive aspect. Since I only traveled with hand luggage, I cannot judge the luggage storage. The staff appeared friendly but overwhelmed, despite the low passenger numbers on site.
Daniel M — Google review
Very quick, no non-sense service. Amazing location! Spectacular views of the runway. People standing just outside the end of the runway to watch landings and take-offs...
Mihai N — Google review
Cute, small, does the job right, also a great attraction at the island. Most importantly - can be reached on foot. Perhaps a better walkway would be a good idea.
Marin K — Google review
It is a very small Airport, so if you have to stay some time here it will be boring. The only „restaurant“ is overpriced and doesn’t offer much and there is a bakery. The Lady at the Information Center was very unhelpful when we where asking if she knows were to find a certain rental company she said just wait outside. We got some help when we asked an employee of another Rental Company (Hertz) he knew a guy from our company and called him. All in all most of the AirPort Personal was very friendly and helpful, the toilets were very clean, the girl at the duty free gave a lot of information to the products they were selling. Definitely one of the better Airports i spent time on till now. Close to the AirPort there is a Street between the water and the landingstrip, where the Planes go over very low, as you can see in one of my Videos
Niklas W — Google review
The only downside is when its summer & remote stand is filled then the international terminal is crammed to overflowing. I wonder when they start rebuilding so more seats can be added after security. Other than that its quite ok for a holiday airport. But you are better of at times travelling via Athens as the international terminal is a can of sardines at times...
Peter D — Google review
Skiathos Airport is quite small, offering just the essential facilities as well as a duty-free shop. There are seats inside for waiting, but they are quite limited, so finding a spot to sit can be challenging during busy periods. The security control process is generally smooth and efficient, contributing to a relatively hassle-free airport experience. It’s a practical gateway suited for quick arrivals and departures, especially during the busy tourist season.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Skiathos town, Marmita is a charming Greek restaurant housed in a traditional home surrounded by a beautiful garden. Since its debut in 2013, this restaurant has been offering authentic Greek cuisine with a modern twist. The menu features dishes made with seasonal and fresh local ingredients, resulting in flavorful and mouthwatering meals. The owner, Panos Stamoulis, brings extensive hospitality experience to the table.
It’s was a great culinary experience, the food was very very good, something that you probably find in the best restaurants in the world, the taste, the texture all surprised us in a good way. The people serving are very nice and helpful so we felt welcomed from the fist second we arrived although we didn’t have a reservation. And the profiterol was so good, my girlfriend fall in love with the taste of it.
George B — Google review
Marmita has a great potential only until you experience their service which is settled for a come, pay and go kind of experience which was quite disappointing after all the recommendations. It lacks warmth and traditional Greek hospitality compared to 99% of the restaurants in Greece where for example they treat customers with a dessert or drink on the house. Plates are well laid out, flavours are more on the flat side (don’t expect anything mind blowing) but well balanced all this in a lovely atmosphere. Book in advance also outside peak season.

Service and atmosphere were really welcoming and friendly. Food itself was delicious. Wine collection is fascinating. Totally recommend if you’re staying around the island.

Very nice place, quality food, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A place different from all those I've been to in Skiathos, and if it's always crowded there's a reason. Too bad we only went once. Amazing.

Another majestic experience in Skiathos . The atmosphere of this restaurant was really cozy and it felt like a traditional Greek island house . The stuff was very kind and very helpful . The food was great with the best dish being the lamp and the weakest dish being the mussels . I would visit again for sure !!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant upon arrival, but could only get a table four days later — and it was absolutely worth the wait. The dishes are incredibly original: Greek cuisine with a modern twist, all beautifully executed. We had the best moussaka we’ve ever tasted — truly unforgettable. It’s the chef’s mother’s recipe, and you won’t find anything like it elsewhere. A must-try! The turbot was perfectly cooked and came with a sauce that was just spot-on. Another standout was the prawn carpaccio — again, the sauce was both delicious and unique. I’m actually writing this review while still waiting for dessert, which already sounds very promising: baklava cheesecake 😋

The Windmill Restaurant in Skiathos is a charming dining spot run by Pam and Jon, offering delicious food and a breathtaking view. Perched atop the town, this family-run establishment provides a romantic ambiance with terraced dining areas that offer panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. The restaurant is housed in a converted 1880s windmill, one of the oldest buildings on the island, and features multiple terraces for an unforgettable dining experience.
Lots of stairs to get there, but the climbing is well worth: stuning views, deliciously sophisticated Greek food, lovely wines... We had a memorable evening. A big thanks to Mrs Karen, her son and all team for their amazing professionalism. We will come back!

Fabulous restaurant overlooking Skiathos town. There are a few steps to climb to get here but when you arrive it's worth it. The views are amazing. The food is lovely here , and I mean really nice. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection. Other lamb dishes and fish dishes available. Lovely. Recommended to book if you want to dine here. Try it you won't be disappointed
Andrew S — Google review
To the Management or Owners of This Establishment Please take a moment to consider my feedback. Just a few minutes ago, my friend and I stopped by to see the view from your venue. We simply wanted to have a quick look before deciding whether to stay for dinner or not. Unfortunately, that decision was made for us. A waiter abruptly told me, *“My friend, you can only take photos from here”* - pointing at the entrance. This kind of unwelcoming and dismissive attitude felt extremely unprofessional and off-putting. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant, as the very first impression we got was one of greed rather than hospitality. For comparison, earlier today I visited one of the most luxurious places on the island —Elivi. I wasn’t even a customer there, yet they warmly invited me to look around and take photos. That is what true hospitality and professionalism look like. The difference between these two places is like night and day. Tourism thrives on kindness and respect, because you never know who the guest standing in front of you might be.
Jivko K — Google review
Beautiful views and setting, it’s definitely a ‘treat’. Food was beautifully presented. The steak was unfortunately bland for the price point this was disappointing. Sea bass risotto was lovely. There was also a very persistent cat after our food, we found it quite entertaining but something to consider if you aren’t a fan of cats.
Victoria H — Google review
I won’t be going back. We had a reservation and arrived a little bit earlier but they didn’t seat us at the available tables. There was no fish soup, and the only salad option was Greek salad, which took over 30 minutes to arrive. While the main course and dessert were good, the overall experience was disappointing. There was a sign in the restroom claiming you can’t pay by card and split the bill — and that this policy applies to all restaurants. That’s simply untrue. We did it the night before at a different place. In short, the restaurant didn’t meet expectations.

We came here for a birthday dinner in a party of 7. The management had set a beatifull table aside for us. The views and setting were simply gorgeous. The service was first class, as good as any restaurant I've been to. The staff were efficient, happy, polite and eager to please us all, they are obviously we'll treated by the management and enjoy there jobs. Then the food. I had steak, good choice Mr Bird! One of the best steaks I've ever eaten (I've had steak in Argentina, France, Scotland and Japan). I tried a few of the other guests dishes and they were all very special. The chef and his team has some really interesting stuff going on in the kitchen. This is high end dinning and worth the walk.

Kahlua, a highly regarded eatery in Skiathos, stands out as one of the top choices for diners. Its offerings encompass delectable, mouthwatering, and exceptionally flavorsome cuisine. The service provided by the affable waitstaff is superb and accompanied by a breathtaking vista. Nestled on the water's edge, patrons can enjoy views of incoming planes while being enveloped in an inviting and cozy ambiance.
An exceptional restaurant, right on the coast, just a 500m pleasant walk from the center of Skiathos. The spacious terrace is located above the sea, and the interior of the restaurant is also large capacity and very nicely decorated. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Pieces of seafood can be selected in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly. I recommend Tzipouro, you will get a nice meze .

Top place. It is the last in the long line of restaurants on this street and therefore a bit hidden but it is great and the owner personally takes care of his guests. Ingredient quality is the bet I have seen in Skiathos. Had fish by the Kg and sides. Recommended.
EGI M — Google review
We visited Kahlua in Skiathos and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. My meal was supposed to come with a salad, but it never arrived. When the restaurant got busy, it became chaotic — servers were rushing around without any clear organisation. We asked three different servers for the bill and still ended up waiting 45 minutes, before I eventually went inside and paid at the kitchen myself. The only redeeming feature was the beautiful view and the occasional plane flying past. Without that, it would have been a 0/5 experience.

A truly delightful place, where everything has been thought out to the littlest details (which is quite unusual in Greece). The terrace at the water already looks very inviting, new and relaxing. Once we sat down, at the water, with some quality music on (Eastern/egyptian remixes of popular songs) we felt tremendously at ease. We got a nice glass bottle of water, which was poured in nice looking glasses. In fact, everything around you is of high quality and looks good, including the cutlery. The design of the terrace and the restaurant itself is eastern/egyptian, with a beautiful olive tree in the middle of the terrace and other big plants at the sides of the terrace. Like I said, great attention has been payed to the details in this interior. Look out for it. The service was kind and good. The appetizers were very tasty, and the bread was simply delightful. The view from the terrace is really pleasing, with beautiful clear water and lots of fish (also nice lighting at night). Then the main course: we were all simply delighted; it was simply perfect. It looked beautiful and tasted the same way. Simply great. This restaurant is a gem in Skiathos, and one of the best places we have visited so far. It is located at the end of the fish restaurant street, at the water, north east of the town.

Very minimal information in this particular museum. They have many items on display but nothing to describe where the items came from or their significance. There was one person who was simply there to take money and offered up no information. There were two people at the desk with him, but I was unsure if they also worked there as they seemed to be just friends hanging out, having a loud conversation. The price was cheap and there was a little information which is why I gave 2 stars.

Lovely quiet beach. We walked about ten mins from bus stop 12. Two sun loungers and an umbrella for €15 which was great - we'd paid €35 at a different beach the day before. Wasn't too busy, lovely sea and an hourly boat back to Skiathos port for €5.

My favorite. Small perfect beach with green crystal clear water. If you come by foot it is little bit far and the road is mostly hilly. Small taxi boat come every hour, and its around 5 euros one way from Skiathos town. Water sports available on no big waves and wind days. Jet ski ✅ speedboats rent ✅. Tavern working hours are 12am-12pm, but they served us around 11am so thats nice. I recommend fruit salad with yogurt and honey. Not many sunbeds available, maybe come earlier.

Lovely little beach, not too crowded in late June, mostly retired/old folk, enjoying the peacefulness. The Skaithos Town water taxi departs from here hourly (except lunchtime & late evening) which is great if you want to just pop over for a few hours. Sunbed hire is relatively inexpensive at around €2 a bed, but don't expect top of the range furniture. They do the job though. All in all a well kept beach & not too busy, visited many times during our week stay.

Perched above Skiathos Town, Parissis Winery is a family-owned winery offering tours and tastings, making it one of the few wineries on Skiathos Island open to visitors. The tour provides an intriguing look into the traditional winemaking process, from growing grapes to producing wine. The location offers stunning views and a modern setting for the tasting experience. The friendly owners share insightful information about Greek wine production during the 2-hour tour and tasting session.
A nice experience that could only be improved by offering a little guidance when disembarking from the transport. No one knew where to go and wandered around looking confused for 5mins ( Walk up the slope to the garden and wait in the shade for the guide to appear) The wine was tasty, the guide was informative and finger food was the ideal accompaniment. I'm a bit socially awkward so sitting at a table with 6 strangers wasn't ideal but the wine helped out with that 😂 overall a good value experience

We had a fantastic tour and wine tasting experience at Parissis Winery. The setting is lovely - perched high at the top of the hills, with a beautiful view. The winery is small and intimate, one really gets the feeling of this family run enterprise. We particularly enjoyed the chilled red, and the ‘snacks’ were delicious. Don’t be put off by the long winding road uphill! Highly recommended experience!

Great view, tasty food, welcoming staff and excellent wine! We did the tour with wine tasting, both version would give you quite a good understanding of the different flavours, needing to drive back we picked one of each. Snacks next to the wine were also super tasty and the staff is super nice at all time. Maria is also the star of the place, sharing her knowledge and guiding you though the process and welcoming you in her home - makes you feel at home. Extra bonus for the fist aid support received - we had a little accident on the way to the winery and would recommend to reach it by taxi, car or quod, we had a motorbike and last part is quite bumpy and slippery with small rocks.

At the end we did sample 3 of the other wines before purchasing 2 cases of wine. We will definitely return. Thank you x

An absolutely amazing Winery. Compact, stylish and sparkling clean. The family are passionate about their wines, and sharing their achievements with other. Don't be daunted by the winding ride up the mountain as you will be greeted with big smiles and stunning views The short tour is a must. Maria provided one of the most succinct description of wine growing in the area, how they approach it and how the process the tradional greek varietels to make we their 8+ offerings. Then the tasting. We paid for the reserved wines, which combined with the views and traditional nibbles went well with the very generous 75ml glasses. We enjoyed all the wines landing on the Muscato a day the soft red as our preffered. Having said that we were happy to drink all their wines. Having finished our tasting we carefully walked the 150m path down to Plantanos Restetaunt where we has a little more Parissis red and a more than satisfying meal.

We had a wonderful winery tour and wine tasting at Parissis, both of which I highly commend and recommend. The passionate and humorous lady at the tour shared a lot of information about their vineyards and how they make & bottle the wine at Parissis. The wine tasting, which was accompanied by Greek cheeses, bread products & some charcuterie was a very pleasant surprise, given the small production capability of the winery. The views of Skiathos and its forests, spectacular. The ambience, relaxing! A visit there is a MUST when in Skiathos!

Wonderful wine tasting, snacks and views - we enjoyed the tour around the winery and I found the information on growing Skiathos grapes, letting the roots grow deep underground and planting roses to warn farmers of plant diseases, very interesting. The wine is tasty, all dry wine which has a calm start and neat finish. Shame we are hand-luggage only and cannot take a few bottles with us. I would recommend exploring whether you can do delivery of the wine within Europe and sell ‘wine with delivery’ as part of a package. Two bottles plus delivery and up to 6 bottles plus delivery.

The beach is just incredible. The water is very clean, the bars are very nice and beautifully decorated with super chill vibes. The big advantage is the water taxi to the Skiathos town every hour.

Lovely setting here, small narrow beach were to the left by the water sports so quieter this end sunbeds 10 euro for two , good option of restaurants on the beach, we went to mogo's lovely setting with relaxed atmosphere

The best beach in Skiathos for people without a car. The beach is located a few minutes walk from bus stop 10, it has a lot of free/public space compared to the more popular beaches and is much less crowded. It offers the same as the other beaches and more in my opinion, it is amazing for snorkelling as I saw an Octopus and many different species of fish, it has clear waters, beautiful sand and so much space. The views are as good if not better than the other beaches as you have flowers, greenery and mountain/island views. Yes there is no shower nor a toilet but most of the beaches don’t have those anyway. Also when you get off the bus stop you have Gyros, Pastries and a Shop there so instead of paying a fortune for food at the beach, before or afterward you can get a meal and drink there. Highly recommended, I think this is a lesser known beach and I hope it stays that way.
Milos N — Google review
Besides being the closest beach to our hotel, this was also one of the nicest beaches we found on Skiathos. It is sand without tons of rocks or seaweed, and the water was crystal clear. There is a water taxi landing on the beach that will take you straight to Skiathos town for €4 and plenty of cafes along the beach. The beach was never crowded while we were on it either.

Lo&La Restaurant is a contemporary Italian dining spot situated on the steps in Skiathos Old Port, offering a stunning view over the Old Harbour and Bourtzi. Run by Lorenzo and Anastasia, it has quickly become one of the most popular dinner places in Skiathos Town due to its high-quality cuisine. The restaurant provides an elegant setting for enjoying expertly prepared Italian and Greek dishes while overlooking the charming old port. Guests can also enjoy people-watching from this elevated location.
An excellent dining spot! We got a warm welcome and our waiter Michael was superb. We enjoyed the sea bream tartare and ravioli. The view across the harbour is lovely. We enjoyed it so much we went back 2 days later. The Greek rose wine was also ace. Recommended!

A restaurant with a wonderful view over the port, where you can truly feel the passion invested in every detail. The food is excellent – we had the tuna steak and carbonara, with shrimps as a starter, and everything was absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere, attentive service, and a beautiful setting. Highly recommended! 🌟

A few dishes are gluten free, mostly fish and quite light. I was really hungry and asked if I could have some potatoes as a side, but they said they couldn't do it. It would be good if they had gluten free pasta as there were lots of pasta options. I was still hungry afterwards!

We had an amazing dinner with a lot of cocktails a lot of wine ,spectacular view ,summer breeze and the most delicious food on the island! Our waiter Babis was fully informed about our dishes ,and both with our beautiful hostess made our night full of good vibes and laughter ! Still thinking about the tuna fillet!!! Lyhnari is a Mediterranean and Greek restaurant located in Skiathos. Visitors have praised the convenience of its location, as well as the quality of food and service. The restaurant offers complimentary ouzo with ice and a tasty dish of black olive tapenade and bread. Guests have described the food as sensational, with standout dishes like Stamnas and Kleftiko receiving high praise for their flavors.
Fantastic place for dining. The best I found in skiathos. The owner makes you feel so welcome and greets you on entry and always ensures youre having a good time. Followed by complementary ouzos and bread with some traditional greek dips. The food is outstanding. Literally the best garlic bread I've ever had. Then the main is a wide selection of greek dishes that are to die for. Then at the end you are offered tea or coffee and a yoghurt dessert free of charge. You leave feeling stuffed for a very good price and on top of that the staff are extremely pleasant and feel like they appreciate you cominf.. and I couldn't speak any more highly of this place

We spent our last night in Skiathos at Lychnari and it couldn’t have been more perfect. This beautiful garden restaurant is truly a hidden gem, protected from the wind and rain with a warm and authentic Greek atmosphere. Every dish is homemade and full of flavour, offering a real taste of Greece. The lamb dish was honestly the best we have ever had. The owner, Dimitris, went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and the team went all out to make us feel special. If you are looking for genuine Greek hospitality, delicious food and a cosy, welcoming setting, Lychnari is a must visit in Skiathos. 💙🇬🇷

❤️‍🔥 Incredible ❤️‍🔥 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 We arranged a surprise 21st birthday for our friend/family member, and the team exceeded all expectations! I've never encountered such wonderful people before. Dimitri and his family were especially helpful. We truly appreciate it. And let's not forget—the food was incredible from beginning to end! What a fantastic place and a lovely family restaurant. 🥰 From all of us, a MASSIVE THANK YOU ❤️‍🔥

We asked the Airbnb manager for a recommendation for a true local restaurant where he would go and eat and not the front row , water front restaurants with gorgeous views but mid food and he recommended full hearted Lyhnari restaurant “ where everything is cooked from scratch “ and not premade! Dimitris, the owner, greeted us, recommended for each of the four of us to order something else and share. He brought us tzatziki, eggplant salad and tarama as a starter and it was to die for! We got some amazing ideas to add nuts to the eggplant salad when we prepare it at home and dill , olive oil, lemon and bread crumbs and I’ll definitely do that next time I’m making it at home. The mousaka was the best we have ever had! The lamb was soft, juicy, well seasoned and beautifully grilled! The yogurt dessert was fabulous as well! Ah, this was the very best Greek restaurant we have ever eaten in this whole trip to Greece!

Located in Skiathos, Taverna Agnadio is a long-established restaurant known for its stunning views and delicious Greek cuisine. The elegant decor and panoramic view of Skiathos town and Pounta Bay make it a fantastic dining spot. The mezedes, or Greek tapas, are highly recommended, especially the fried filo feta with fig jam. Additionally, visitors can enjoy wines from Parissis vineyard just 4km away.
An amazing experience! The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning – one of the best on the island. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. What made the evening even more special was the incredibly friendly and warm owner and staff – they made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Skiathos – great atmosphere, great people, and great food. We’ll definitely be back!

Our most expensive meal on the island but also our best. The goats cheese and feta in phyllo pastry starters were absolutely stunning and with some tzatziki and pita could probably have fed the 4 of us for a lot less. Go for the starters and the house wine which is lovely and the views of course the views are to die for.

We went there on our last evening, and it was our only regret because out of the 12 restaurants we tried on the island, this was by far the best one ✨ The food was so refined and delicious!! the staff were so friendly and welcoming 😊 Without a doubt, it was our best restaurant experience on the island! The only downside is that now we have to wait until next year to come back 🙈🤗💛

Beverley L — Google review
What an amazing night! I celebrated my 50th birthday here and it was great. There was a wedding in the family that owns the restaurant at the same time so they let us stay long after closing time. The food was incredible. We took many different starters for 15 people and shared it around. Afterwards we took various main courses and again shared it. Sea food, fish, meat, veggy or sweet, we could not find a weak spot to any meal and everyone was smiling in joy of good food. We saw an older person dance sirtaki at the wedding, and they even played a song we asked for me and my wife to dance! The staff was smiling all night, very friendly and talkative! You can feel a family spirit and respect. The view is also amazing and the soft breeze of wind just makes it perfect. A huge advantage to restaurants downtown is that there is a single source of music and it is very relaxing. They also keep such a music volume that it is easy to speak and hear all other persons at the table. I want to give a special thanks to Spiros, who took all effort to make every picture perfect and help us make it a night to remember.
Djuro G — Google review
That’s a gem in Skiathos, the restaurant is up so you have a nice view from the balcony where you dine, attentive service and well prepared food with quality ingredients, we’ve been here twice, what I didn’t like was the “complementary dessert”, was too sweet in my opinion, and you cannot serve it without asking if we want it or if we like what’s in it. First time we ate it, second time we sent it back. One more thing: is not easy to make reservation as they take them only by phonecall, come on we are in 2025 e still don’t take reservations on social media especially for tourists who don’t have a Greek number to call with.

Ancient Ruins
The Byzantine Castle of Skiathos is a brilliant ancient site with steep climbs and amazing views. It's full of ruins, churches, old buildings, an old mosque, cannons, and gates. The place offers insight into its history through descriptive signs. Although it needs upkeep due to its location, it remains a highlight of the island with a spectacular setting on the cliff. Visitors are advised to wear sensible footwear and be prepared for a cardio workout when walking back from the beach taverna.
Visiting the Byzantine Castle of Skiathos is more about the journey and the view than the ruins themselves. Be prepared for a bit of hiking — the walk is part of the experience, and the views along the way and from the top are absolutely breathtaking. The ruins are limited, so don’t expect a fully preserved castle, but the scenery makes it worth the effort. Getting there can be challenging: the drive involves narrow, partly unpaved roads, so take it slow and use caution. Once you arrive, though, the panoramic views over the sea and island are unforgettable. Definitely recommended if you enjoy walking, nature, and spectacular vistas.
Jamil I — Google review
Great viewpoint, challenging to access. Long/steep off-road drive to reach the castle, very hot/exposed location, recommend visiting before 10 or after 3.
Ross A — Google review
Very nice road to the location. There are two parking areas, but very small. Preferably to park along the road. Beautiful walk to the bridge. The climb to the flag is a bit steep, but doable. Nice location with beautiful views, near the beach, but too less history or info about it.
Rares F — Google review
Byzantine Castle of Skiathos – Stunning Views and a Great Drive Visiting the Byzantine Castle was one of the highlights of our quad bike tour. The drive out to the site is scenic and enjoyable, but it's worth noting that the road can be a bit rough in places. When you arrive, make sure to continue to the second car park—the first one you come to is further from the entrance and less convenient. The hike up to the flag is of medium difficulty, but very manageable, and the views from the top are absolutely breath taking, a perfect spot for photos and taking in the beauty of Skiathos. There’s a real sense of history and tranquillity at the site, making it well worth the effort. It was a cloudy, windy day for our visit. I recommend on a hot day, to go early morning or late evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore beyond the beaches and enjoy a bit of adventure.
Mickey B — Google review
Really lovely, the views are spectacular 👌 the little church is really lovely, and you can go inside this 😊 Make sure you wear suitable footwear, as ground is quite uneven . There are 2 places to park, an area at the top and one lower down. There is a little place to get food and drink at the start of the walk , although. We took our own food and had a little picnic overlooking the glorious view .
Wendy C — Google review
Still being restaurated (August ‘25) Some of the buildings are already finished. If you’re afraid of heights you may have trouble entering through the the very steep bridge you can see through on the ground.

Thrilling spot and view. Rocky and windy scenery, you can see most of the northern side of the island and upto where the weather allows you to see to the north, maybe even Athos mountain in Chalkidiki. Easy access on foot for 300-400m from a small parking area.

The food is super good! The pasta, the salads, and the cheese croquettes with fig jam are amazing! But the best thing about the place is the service — we had a bit of trouble with the language, but they always tried to understand us and made everything very easy. The prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants. We were served by “Andreas” (not sure if that’s how it’s spelled), but he was very friendly and attentive. Definitely a great choice in the port of Skiathos!

Paralia Megalos Aselinos, also known as Big Aselinos Beach, is a popular sandy beach located 12km West of Skiathos Town. Accessible by car or boat, it offers impressive green surroundings and big waves on windy days. The beach features a taverna and sunbeds for rent but is mostly unorganized, providing ample space for privacy. Ideal for water sports like surfing and parasailing, the clear waters are perfect for scuba diving or swimming.
If you love wild beaches and not too crowded, this is your place. There is tavern and a small spot with paid umbrellas, but still a plenty of space for your privacy. Each day you visit it, the water will be different, varying from the calm waves to the big ones. And what is the most important on this island - you can get there easily by asphalt road (just a few meters of sand at the end).
Ladislav L — Google review
Great beach, huge and not busy, Waves can get big and its quite steep when you get in the water. You can drive your car right up to the sunbeds which all have shade. They charge 12.50 for the day for 2 people. The small restaurant is good and there are donkeys in a padock nearby. Road to get there is paved except for the last 1/2 mile. Watch out for the goats!
Glyn D — Google review
It was a windy day, so the sea was a bit “angry” and had lots of algae. The descending into water wasn’t the friendliest either. We accessed the beach via ATV.
Andreea D — Google review
We visited this beach on a very windy day. We took some good pictures of the waves. On a calm day, I'm sure it is one of the best beaches on the island.
Beliot — Google review
Beautiful windswept beach on the north of the island. Sunbeds are great value at 15 euro the pair & we love that it goes to support the Donkey sanctuary. It's a lovely sandy beach & not as busy as some others on the south side. Taverna does good food & drinks. A really lovely beach overall
Angela K — Google review
It is a very strange beach. The sand is super soft, yet feels like tiny stones, yet you sink in it as if memory foam... And it's hard to walk. There's nobody around here, the people at the bar were a bit shocked to have us. Big free zone, lots of waves and wind. You can get here by public transport, too. There are some goats and other animals around. Umbrellas are available, but there aren't that many.
Marin K — Google review
The beach is accessible by car. Navigation could try to mislead you, but If you stick to the asphalt road it will take you to the beach. You can see some donkeys near the road. The sea bottom is nice if you like to go snorkeling. It is good to be on this beach on a no windy day. The beach has a wide free area. It is good to have beach shoes, there are small rocks when you enter the water.

Ligaries Beach is a hidden gem on the island of Skiathos, offering a serene escape from the bustling center. Nestled along a lush green route that winds through the Aesthetic Forest and down to Achila Ravine, this tranquil beach features golden sands and crystal-clear waters perfect for relaxation. The journey to Ligaries Beach involves navigating a scenic dirt road that adds an adventurous touch to your visit.
A large semi coarse sandy beach with a decent number of umbrellas. The dirt road to there can be challenging as it becomes quite steep at times. Preferably go with a 4x4 but I saw enough small cars like Renault Twingo parked there (worth saying that regular insurance won't cover if a normal car breaks there). As of 20 June the price for an umbrella and two sunbeds is 12 Euro. There's also a small lake which is almost dry. You can spot a lot of pheasants and goats on the way to the beach

We came here on our hired quad bike. After what seemed like weeks bouncing and navigating the dust track down to the beach...we arrived on the set of an Hawaian movie! Stunning! The beach is coarse sand and small gravel and has a selection of loungers with umbrellas. There is a taverna nearby but off of the beach. Worth a visit for the experience!

9.9.2025. The beach is beautiful, clean, spacious, and quiet, with sand and fine pebbles. There are rocks at the entrance to the sea, but as you go deeper, the bottom is sandy. There is parking available. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented.
Natalija D — Google review
The little restaurant close by is amazing, we ordered the hole menu for a table of 6🤭, and paid half the usual. The acces to the beach is difficult( we rent beach buggys), a taxi is quite expensive( 90€ one way), but it is worth it, and prices for chairs, drinks and food are much cheaper.
Cristina H — Google review
It's not as busy as other beaches with a big free zone. The paid umbrellas are 13 Euro per set. The water is crystal clear and it's actually one of the nicer places for snorkeling on the island. I recommend getting aqua shoes cause the underwater rocks can easily cut you. The dirt road to the beach could be passed by car, but for the experience i recommend hiring an atv.
Dimitar V — Google review
The best beach on the island. True Skiathos experience, the road is bumpy, we had a Jimny so it was quite interesting driving through the forest and also passing so many olive trees. The smell in the air is like the nicest perfume. Trust me, must seen beach. And the taverna nearby is so good! PS Kecria beach which is next to Ligaries is not worth it, too fancy and so many rocks.
Milica — Google review
To reach the beach you need to drive 5km on a dust road, but if your car has enough clearance you wont have a problem. The beach is big and has a wide free area. On a windy day you can catch big waves. It is best to have beach shoes as well.

Great jewellery shop with lots of beautiful and unique pieces. At first we've walked in just to have a look but from the multitude of option it was impossible not to find something to like. Areti was very friendly and helpful showing us everything we wanted and also trying to understand what we want. I've loved a pendant with a raw shaped aquamarine stone with a beautiful color and transparent. Also I've fount a nice silver chain that was very nicely done and Vassilis was able to customise it together with the pendant so that both have a matching silver raw polish and work with a ring that I was already having. All were ready after one day and I loved the result. My fiancee got a pair of earrings, simple and elegant but in the same time very artsy done with silver and gold. We recommend this shop, it's definitely worth to be checked if you are around.

Best beach in Skiathos! We basically had the whole beach to ourselves which was amazing. The food at the tavern was incredible, every single dish we had was just next level. Best calamari and sardines on the island. Cocktails were well doused with booze. 100% get to this beach. Bit of a walk down and limited parking for cars and quads.

This is the place where you can see, taste, smell and hear the best of Skiathos! We had lunch within 3 steps from the sea, the music was quiet and calm, the staff was perfect, and the food was amazing. We came with our car, but had to park uphill, so there is a few minutes walking in a not so pleasant road, but its worth it!

Today we went back to Diamanti Beach after enjoying an amazing day last year. Well today was no different. A friendly welcome back from Katherine when we arrived before showing us to our sun beds for the day. We spent the new few hours basking in the sun and swimming in the sea. Then it was time for lunch especially if you come here because it’s a fantastic restaurant. For lunch we had a Greek Salad , Grilled Prawns , Octopus and some fries. The food was delicious as we just stared out to sea. The team were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. If you come to Skiathos then a visit to Diamanti is an absolute must. Thank You Katherine , Vasilis and all the team for a truly wonderful day and hope to see you again next year.

Diamanti Beach was absolutely amazing! The beach is truly stunning with soft sand and crystal-clear water—perfect for a relaxing swim. The food at the tavern was impeccable, fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A hidden gem worth visiting!
Tamara S — Google review
We had a great meal here. Some of the food is very good value, whilst some feels very expensive - you can order to your budget and enjoy it. Everything very fresh and good quality. The sun-loungers were good, but if you have younger kids beware that the swimming is not as safe as other beaches - there are often sudden strong waves from passing ferries, and there are rocks below the water surface. Nothing to be too worried about, but just for young families to note. Overall a beautiful location that is worth exploring, we took a boat taxi from Kolios beach which worked well. The footpath/road is very steep so glad we didn’t try it :)

Today we visited Diamond Beach as well as the bar and restaurant. The beach was amazing – the walk from the hotel was definitely worth it, even though all the sunbeds were already taken, despite the fact that there were no guests using them. There are very few sunbeds, and it seems the staff reserves them in advance for certain guests, which is not pleasant. The upper bar was fantastic, and the restaurant too – unfortunately, we were disappointed by the much-praised fried calamari, which we had really been looking forward to. We ordered them, but what we received looked nothing like what is shown in the photos. Just a few pieces of vegetables floating in about 200ml of some kind of liquid – and this is supposed to be a fried dish! Imagine being served French fries in water. They did offer to replace the dish, but even the second portion of calamari was fried without any flavor, and again without vegetables – just terrible! And to top it all off, the owner wanted us to pay for both portions of calamari. She argued that this is a business for her and asked us to explain why we wouldn’t pay for them. Well, maybe because, dear owner, your guest receives barely 20% of what you advertise. Here’s a photo of what the dish is supposed to look like – it’s not meant to be swimming in liquid! You really should work on your attitude toward guests.
Blanka A — Google review
Great tavern on a beautiful beach. Getting there by car was easy, and while there’s a short downhill walk, it’s very manageable. The tavern serves good food at fair prices considering the location. There’s also a bar where you can order coffee, beers, and cocktails. Sunbeds are comfortable, but make sure to reserve in advance. The beach itself is stunning, though leisure boat traffic can get heavy and could be better managed. The tavern can get noisy at peak lunchtime, and while the staff are efficient and friendly, a smile now and then would make the experience even better

Beach
Paralia Vromolimnos is a vibrant and lively beach located on the Kalamaki Cape, 8km southwest of Skiathos Town. It is known for its narrow sandy expanse, clear and calm waters, and picturesque setting backed by dense trees. The beach offers a range of amenities including trendy beach bars, tavernas, and water sports facilities such as beach volleyball, pedalo, and boat hire.
Lovely beach suitable for families with children as well, it also offers access to water for disabled people and a proper lifeguard station. Complaints to the lifeguard who actively keeps away idiots with boats invading the swimmers area. There's also a few spots with natural shade all day, but you must come early, before 11 am to pick a spot. The beach has also a couple of restaurants or beach bars offering the usual beach menu at higher than worth it prices, but that is Skiathos I guess.

The BEST burger you will EVER have. You can order food to your sun lounger that’s provided by a nearby hotel and it is by FAR the best burger we’ve ever had! You HAVE to try it!

Clear water and sandy beach. big parking, If you go by bus, you should exit on station 13 and walk uphill ~10 min there are 2 type od beds One expensive ones that belongs to Porto Paradiso, and the other ones around 15e per set, near hotel. Beetween them is free place and nice shade
Mina J — Google review
The entrance to this beach is a bit confusing, we taught at first that is a private property. We parked outside the fence and walked through the gate until we reached a tiny breach between trees. That was the actual entrance to the beach. Here again we had sand and clear water. Very beautiful beach!
Andreea D — Google review
Lovely beach – we had loungers on the Skiathos Hotel part of the beach (despite not staying there), where we paid €15 for two sun loungers and an umbrella. Great value, and no hassle. We also had a very nice lunch at Porto Paradiso. Be cautious of the man in the green t-shirt and red hat managing the loungers to the left of the restaurant though. He initially told us every lounger was full, but we noticed him actively seeking out larger groups to charge more for the final spots. Pure greed.
Ben O — Google review
Very nice beach with awesome water. A set of 2 sunbeds and umbrella cost 25 euro.
Yoana K — Google review
Narrow beach, not very clean, but has a good vibe. 50 sunbeds are reserved by a hotel. The others are very crowded, near a bar. I reccommend to come here if you like staying on a towel.

Location is perfect, view is sensational, water is marvelous, but service is inexistent. Staff is very rude and if you order any kind of beverages (bottled included), expect them in 30 minutes minimum.

Xanemos Beach is a hidden gem for those seeking a unique blend of relaxation and excitement. Nestled at the end of Skiathos airport's runway, this 300-meter stretch offers an incredible vantage point to watch planes take off and land just overhead. The beach features a mix of sand and pebbles, with crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling on calm days. While it remains largely unorganized, visitors can find sunbeds and umbrellas available at the nearby taverna.
Clear water, pebbles, airplane sightings, low amount of people even during high season, accessible from bus stop 0 or by foot if you're more sun-resilient.
Marin K — Google review
Mostly, pepple beach, loverly view, beach cafe was shut when visited. Sea shelves quickly. Lots of noise from the aircraft tacking off. A few beds to hire and not many people.
Glyn D — Google review
A sand and pebble beach with a beach bar and a lifeguard. Great for watching the planes take off from Skiathos airport (cameras ready) some nice big waves but it shelves very quickly so be careful with little ones. Take beach shoes.
Shaundoddtravelsnaps I — Google review
Nice sandy beach with a lifeguard and a bar. You can see the planes, but we were waiting and the plane changes its route because of the wind. So you might not have good luck with it.
Karolína T — Google review
Very nice beach a little bit windy the day we went, close to the Airport, therefore having a view of the take off of the planes. We visited the beach bar to buy something. We paid €45 for 3 sandwiches and 4 juices🙁🙁Buy something from the local market before going there, to avoid being overcharged.
Chryssa K — Google review
Calm and beauty beach, under the runway. Ideal plane spotter place attached to relax.
Tibor H — Google review
The beach is fine bit pebbly, but much like a lot of skiathos beaches. One thing I will warn you about is the little taverna on the beach, what an awful place, run by a scruffy man, absolute rip off selling stale sandwiches with prices 70% above the norm, take your own food & drink avoid this place at all cost.
ROBERT T — Google review
The most beautiful beach of Skiathos! It can be reached by car easily, the road is fully built, not dirt. You can rent a beach bed, its not so cheap, but you can also bring an umbrella to protect yourself from sun. The see is very wavy. Above your head, you can see the airplanes taking on/off.

Kastro Beach is a small and secluded beach located on the northern tip of Skiathos Island. It features grey sand, pebbles, and rocky cliffs, offering stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds. Accessible by car or excursion boat, visitors can combine sunbathing with sightseeing as it is within walking distance of the ruins of Skiathos Medieval city.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Skiathos. Crystal clear water! Quiet place for relax. There are not a lot spaces with shade, so is better to have umbrella with you. There is also a bar. The road to the beach is rough, so be prepared for some rocks.
Mitko D — Google review
A little difficult to reach but a fantastic beach with clean water ( no rubbish) and great snorkeling too
Leon ( — Google review
Its a good beach, the beach is mostly pebbles. The water is rather clear and the floor is mostly bigger pebbles. It gets pretty crowded but the terrain is nice for some photos.
Luka L — Google review
Very nice sandy beach with clear water. The only downside are the boats with lots of turists. There is a hose with water (kinda made into a shower) which is perfect to rinse yourself off. The path to the beach is challenging - rocky and quite steep, but not impossible. You can park your car 400 meters from the beach.
Karolína T — Google review
It is located under the Kastro (fortress) from the Ottoman period. The beach is small and secluded, the water is clean and has a fantastic cyan color! It is not easy to get to it, as it is possible on foot along the path or by boat, so it is not a good option for families with small children. There is a cafe/restaurant, no sunbeds, no umbrellas. If you can come here by boat, it is really worth it for the fantastic view.
Zlatina N — Google review
A nice, somewhat more secluded from the crowds beach. It is part of some daily cruises so there can be a crowd, but they only stay for an hour or so. There is also a quaint little tavern to eat and drink. It is a bit of a hike getting to the beach itself. The fiat 500 sometimes struggled getting here.
Zétény L — Google review
Very beautiful beach with fewer people, but the road and path to get here are very steep and difficult.
Adrian D — Google review
Arrived on a small boat for lunch. The seafood (anchovies) was excellent. The sardines, calamari and fried cheese also were very good. I rate the meal, location, service and experience. It was exceptional and rates as the joint 1st meal whilst on holiday I believe its really difficult to get there unless by boat and a September visit was probably to reason why it was not over busy. I would recommend the effort to dine there

Beach
Paralia Lalaria is a secluded and stunning beach located on the North-Eastern tip of Skiathos. Accessible only by boat, this tranquil white-pebble beach is backed by cliffs and features turquoise waters. The beach is famous for its sea arch rock formation, striking white pebbles, and azure waters. While it lacks sunbeds and facilities, it offers a picturesque setting that attracts visitors seeking a peaceful escape.
Truly remarkable unspoilt pebble beach on the island of Skiathos, famous for the " Trypia Petra" arch-shaped rock formation, to rival that of the UK's Durdle Door. Boasting crystal clear turquoise water it is a real gem and well worth visiting by boat from Skiathos town . We spent 3 hours there relaxing and marvelling at the views, including snorkeling. Bring water and refreshments as no beach bars or cafes here.
Sarah M — Google review
I was so excited to go to this beach because of it's reputation but was actually a bit disappointed. It looks so beautiful with it's turquoise water but I couldn't see a single thing with a snorkel. Think it's because so many boats dock up there but literally the water was so cloudy and also there was such big waves it wasn't very relaxing to swim. I liked that there was no bar or sun beds I wish more beaches were like this in Skiathos. But ultimately didn't have the best time. We came as part of the Mamma Mia Cruise so we only got to be there for an hour anyways which was sad because I would have wanted to explore the famous archway
Ciara M — Google review
Not worth the hype at all! We took a day trip by boat and when we arrived at around half past 10, until then the beach looked empty but with us came 6 other boats so forget about privacy or some space there. It was too crowded, there is no kiosk so you should bring refreshments with you and the little shadow there is is quickly occupied by all the people. The water was nice colour but I've seen nicer for sure. There are better beach at Skiathos and this is just a tourist trap.
Patrícia N — Google review
The place is undoubtedly very beautiful but it's overcrowded at times & there no shadow in the morning. There are also too many boats. I suggest you come by private boat on the early afternoon. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't because it's dangerous. It seems so calm then waves come from nowhere and they're so powerful, not very high but very strong. Also there is no one to save you. Long story short, I almost drowned at shore, dragged on the pebbles back & forth. A girl saved my life. If you read this, thank you, you're an angel.
P. A — Google review
Well it is a really beautiful place. Deserves the fame. It feels like Ergremni at Lefkada. Wear aquashoes however, or you'll spend your time navigating the pebbles instead of enjoying the swim spot.
Marin K — Google review
Natural white pebbles are unique. Beach itself is similar to the others in the North of Skiathos. I would enjoy it much more if not a strong smell of gasoline from numerous boats bringing people every 30 mins there.
Irina N — Google review
The beauty of this beach is enchanting! You can reach it by boat or by day cruise. The color of the water conveys its uniqueness. There is no natural shade here, as well as beach facilities such as umbrellas, sun loungers, etc. so, when visiting, you should plan your own amenities, food and water. There are also no trash cans, which means you have to take it with you. Aqua shoes are recommended, as the beach is covered with small pebbles and this makes walking difficult. The locals warned us that picking up pebbles is punishable by a fine. At the left end there is a natural stone arch, which the locals say has supernatural powers (visited August 2025).

If you're looking for an unforgettable experience while exploring the stunning beaches of Skiathos, look no further than the Kalypso Boat. This charming vessel offers a variety of excursions to hard-to-reach gems like Tsougria and Skiathos' hidden beaches. Travelers rave about the cleanliness and comfort of the boat, as well as its friendly crew who embody true Greek hospitality. With delicious snacks available, including a cocktail happy hour, you can unwind and enjoy your journey without any stress.
Absolutely fantastic boat, crew and locations My partner and I visited Skiathos early May,we did the Mamma Mia trip and it was excellent, music was fantastic, bar on board and happy hour 😃. Tatiana was brilliant in her commentary during the trip and was most informative about surroundings and historical information...would highly recommend this trip. It was that great...we booked to go to Skiathos 6 weeks later and did another trip with Kalypso early July. The boat was full, but still excellent in every way possible. We did a different cruise, lalaria,Kastro, Katigiorgis & Tsougria Lalaria beach is stunning and you have time to swim and snorkel Kastro has a beautiful traditional greek taverna where you can chill, have a beer .. fantastic greek salad and loved the Mule here Katigiorgis on the mainland Greece, beautiful small cove. We stopped here for lunch, family run greek taverna, absolutely cannot fault the restaurant and staff..both were amazing 😍 Last stop Tsougria , this was a little gem of an island on the way back, not far from port Very busy beach, but beautiful, fantastic taverna, and great for sunsets Cannot recommend this trip enough!! Tatiana..thank you so much for making both our trips very special ❤️ ( love to the crew too) Julie & Steve

Had amazing time out on the Kalypso, got to visit some of the beaches filmed on mama mia, with stops enough time to get lunch and see the sites. Two of us paid extra to visit the church and steps, bus took 25minutes to get there and back and we had enough time to climb the steps, take in the views and see the church. Thespina on the boat was absolutely amazing very sweet and friendly . She made this trip for us. Drinks and snacks served on board , even had a happy hour .Would highly recommend.

Kalypso Boat – An Unforgettable Adventure in Skiathos If you're looking for day trips that blend breathtaking scenery, warm hospitality, and pure magic, Kalypso Boat is the way to go! Their fantastic excursions take you to iconic locations like Lalaria, Kastro, Tsougria, Skopelos, and the famous Mamma Mia spots. And the sunset cruise? Absolutely stunning — a moment of serenity and awe on the Aegean Sea. One of the brightest stars onboard is Despina. She’s a true gem — radiant, kind, funny, and always smiling. Whether you're curious about a destination or just need a friendly face, she's there to make every passenger feel welcome and informed. Her charm and energy make the journey even more special. Kalypso Boat doesn’t just offer a ride — they deliver an experience that captures the spirit of Greece. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Skiathos: this is the adventure you've been dreaming of. Once you sail with Kalypso, you’ll wish the day would never end.

We went on the island tour just today — excellent service, getting off the boat straight onto the beach, perfect timing: as soon as everyone boarded, we left for the next destination without waiting around. Many thanks to Alexandra for the booking and her kindness !!!
Cosmin — Google review
We went on the 9:30-17:30 boat trip with Kalypso that departs from Skiathos port, goes to Lalaria Beach (the best by far on the entire island although many other boat tours stop here making it unfortunately a bit overwhelming), then moving on to the old capital Kastro, Katigiorgis (where there is a 2 hour stop for lunch, we suggest to bring a packed lunch as the restaurants there aren’t great) and finally Tsougrias beach. The trip was very well organized, and the boat very clean and well equipped. There is about an hour and a half per beach and the journey between them varies from 15 to 50 minutes. We would highly recommend this trip as the price is right and the tour amazing!
Manuel Z — Google review

Viewpoint near Plakes Beach offers a charming experience in Skiathos town. The neighborhood of Plakes is filled with picturesque old houses and vibrant bougainvillea, creating a delightful maze of alleyways to explore. As you approach the sea, you'll be greeted by stunning views of the old port and Bourtzi. This small pebbled beach is conveniently located within walking distance from the city center, surrounded by cafeterias and taverns.
Very nice place, a panoramic view over the sea, ships coming and going from the old port of Skiathos, the white houses on the cliff bathed in the sun, the wavy crystal water glistening below, the neighbouring islands. You can stay there and gaze for hours underneath the pine trees or sunbathe on the cliff. Enjoy!

Nestled in the enchanting landscape of Skiathos, the Garden Theatre offers a captivating fusion of nature and culture that promises an unforgettable evening. This venue showcases the rich tapestry of Greek dance, with professional performers bringing to life various regional styles from across Greece. Each performance is a vibrant display of unique steps, rhythms, and energies that reflect the diverse heritage of this beautiful country. Having spent some time working at this remarkable place during summer, I can attest to its charm.
Gorgeous place!!! Pure greek culture, amazing energy! The owner Fedra and her partner are the most lovely people! I went for a greek dance workshop, it was so much fun!!! Totally recommend it! And after the workshop it was an authentic live show at the garden, such a good time! Must visit when in Skiathos. Today 23.9.25 it was the last "party" of the season, so don't miss it next year!

This experience made our holiday !! We bought the tickets to the Friday Greek night on the Friday morning because we were not really sure if it was worth the money but after attending it definitely was. The skiathos garden is so beautiful and welcoming, which is where we sat before the show. The ticket included a dance lesson of some of the traditional Greek dances, which are super accessible for novice dancers and then the second part includes watching the performance of the professional dancers, which was amazing. After the show we even got some complimentary snacks and a shot. Would 100% recommend to any tourist or holidaymaker going to skiathos, who wants to learn a bit about Greek culture!!

I had the pleasure of coming from the UK to work here for a few weeks over the summer, and what an incredible experience it was. The owners are wonderful people, who are passionate about sharing their art with the world. The theatre performances are truly unique as they have been choreographed and written by the team there, and the music is specially made for the performances too. They have very high quality dancers who are equally passionate to share their art. The performances are thought provoking and immersive. The Greek night is rich in culture, sharing traditional Greek music and dancing from across different islands. The atmosphere is very welcoming and there is a real sense of community once you enter. It's a lot of fun, and everyone who comes has a great night. I worked on the bar and from this perspective the organisation is great and customers are well looked after. Great vibes all round! If you are looking for a truly unique experience then look no further. This place is a rare gem and a must see if you are in Skiathos.

Just a short distance away lies the historic 14th-century capital, Kastro, where remnants of its rich past can be explored, including ancient churches and streets that tell tales of its strategic significance against pirates.
Lovely family owned hotel. The owners were lovely, very welcoming and took time to chat with my dad and I and help us make the most of our trip and our hiking plans. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day and were super quiet, away from the more bustling streets. You were minutes away from the port and main shopping street but the hotel manages to maintain a quiet oasis which is even more beautiful at night with the lights and the plants. Thank you for your lovely hospitality, it really made our trip to Skiathos and we would love to come back if you (and Zabi) will have us ♥️

The hotel itself was absolutely spotless, easily the cleanest we've ever stayed in, and it always smelled fresh and lovely. The hotel design is very unique and beautiful. Lia and her whole team even went the extra mile to make my fiancée's birthday special, which meant a lot to us. If you're coming to Skiathos, this is the place to stay. Aegean Suites by Santikos Collection is a luxurious property located in Skiathos, offering high-end amenities such as restaurants, bars, an outdoor pool, beach access, and a spa. Situated on a picturesque hillside within walking distance of Skiathos Town, the hotel features elegant and spacious suites with living areas, mini-bars, and garden terraces. Guests can choose from various suite options including those with sea views or private patios with open-air jacuzzis.
I do not know how to put into words how wonderful our stay at the Aegean Suites was. Our 7 night stay could not have been better. The staff at Aegean Suites are the best I've ever encountered and I have traveled all over Greece and the world.  The location is perfect. 20 minute walk to town or 4 minute walk to the bus stops. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant and bar staff were so attentive and personable. The propery is just gorgeous with stunning views.  Coodos to the gardners also. Our Suites were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The pool and staff made for relaxing days. The reception staff went above and beyond to help with every need that arose. We had a lost passport issue which they helped with in everyway they could. They were even kind enough to follow up after we were long gone to make sure it was located. They provided local recommendations and multiple taxi requests. I could go on and on. We were a party of 11 who traveled to Skiathos to celebrate my 60th birthday, and I'm so grateful for all the special memories the Aegean Suites helped us create. I will without a doubt return again.

My wife and I are just back from a 7 night stay at Aegean Suites, it was simply wonderful, honestly we have never had better, more friendly, more accommodating staff! Setting is fantastic with views of the sea and coastline. Breakfast was a real highlight, freshly cooked every morning. Our room was spacious and perfectly clean, with a fantastic balcony and view. Thank you to the whole team at Aegean Suites, we’re already looking at booking to come back May next year!

Aegean Suites is an excellent hotel. The location offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, while at the same time being very close to the town center. The staff at both the reception and the restaurant-bar were friendly, pleasant, and really wanted to help, which made my stay even better. The room was big, comfortable, and very clean. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I definitely recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our stay at Aegean Suites in Skiathos Our recent stay at Aegean Suites in August 2023 was a mixed experience, and I feel it's important to provide a comprehensive review that highlights both the positive and aspects to be improved of our visit. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the incredibly polite and attentive staff, setting a positive tone. The reception team was swift and accommodating during the check-in process, and this level of service extended throughout our time at the hotel. I must particularly mention Giannhs, the bar manager, whose genuine warmth and helpfulness enhanced our overall enjoyment of the property. And our cocktails, as well :) However, it is with a sense of candor that I address some concerns that arose during our stay. Firstly, we noticed some issues with room and bathroom equipment, such as a faulty basin water tap or bedroom shutters. While the overall aesthetic of the room was delightful, it is disheartening to encounter such malfunctions that could hinder the guest experience. In addition, the housekeeping team, although courteous and friendly, left our door opened after cleaning on one occassion, which was little to non-problematic to the management. One of the areas that fell short of expectations was the breakfast service. The quality of the food was disappointing, with eggs often being undercooked or overcooked, and the overall tastiness was absent. As a vital aspect of any hotel experience, the breakfast's quality was a notable drawback during our stay. Furthermore, we noticed that the restaurant tables were being cleaned with a soiled rag, which certainly impacted the dining experience. A more stringent approach to cleanliness in dining areas is crucial to maintaining the highest standards of service. In conclusion, our stay at Aegean Suites was a blend of polite service, but far more notable areas for improvement. The staff's politeness and dedication were evident, and Giannhs, the bar manager, deserves recognition for his service and friendliness. Nonetheless, the issues we encountered with room equipment, housekeeping practices, breakfast quality, and restaurant cleanliness did take away from the overall experience. We hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the Aegean Suites management team. With the necessary attention to these aspects, we are confident that the property's potential for excellence will be fully realized.

Stunning small hotel with excellent staff. Nicky, the bar manager particularly was excellent, warm and friendly. As we arrived on the first day of opening for the season, the few day trip was spoilt due to excessive waits on dinning. GF was not really understood by the waiters. However, I must stress that the manager and staff were excellwnt. The hotel was beautiful.

Arkos is a charming small island in the North Sporades group, easily accessible by boat from Skiathos. It offers a beautiful sandy beach with clear, crystal waters and a relaxed cafe bar. The island is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway, as they can set sail on a yacht from Koukounaries cove to witness the breathtaking Skiathos sunset against the azure sea and enjoy an indulgent four-course meal prepared by the captain.

The Greek Orthodox Church of Agios Nikolaos offers a profoundly spiritual experience during its full service, which celebrates an important icon found on the island. Following the service, there is a procession to the cathedral where hundreds of faithful gather together. Access to the church is not easy by car, but it can be easily navigated with a quad bike as the roads are often uneven and off-road. Visitors will be rewarded with breathtaking views despite the absence of amenities like coffee shops on site.
A few steps to go out, the stairs are a bit big (at least one of the ways up, there's another set of stairs with smaller steps not much further from the port), so if you have trouble walking or knee pain maybe take it slow but the view up there is gorgeous.

From this viewpoint, you get a stunning panorama of the city – you can see everything from here. It’s the perfect spot for photographers. It's a bit tiring to go up, but it's worth it. The city itself is amazing, full of authentic Greek charm with its blue-and-white houses, narrow streets paved with stones, stairways, and beautiful buildings. Skiathos is the most beautiful and authentic of the Sporades islands. You shouldn't miss this place if you are on the island. I really fell in love with it.

Dejan V — Google review
Dear Elisabet Cruises, Your motto states: “We are one big family regardless of which country you come from.” Unfortunately, within the first few minutes of departure, this statement was contradicted by your crew’s actions. By introducing politics into tourism, you undermined what should have been a welcoming and inclusive experience. Our country’s official name is North Macedonia, and it is unacceptable that during the reading of the passenger list, your staff referred to us as “Skopia.” This is both disrespectful and offensive. The name of our state is not Skopia, and such misrepresentation diminishes the efforts made toward lasting peace and mutual respect between our nations. We boarded the ship with friendly intentions, eager to enjoy the cruise and create unforgettable memories. Instead, through one careless action, our experience was overshadowed. We treated your staff with politeness and respect, signing in under the correct official name, and did not provoke anyone to deserve such treatment. As a professional crew, it is your responsibility not to respond to provocations—real or perceived—by lowering yourselves to such a level. On board, we should all feel like one big family. We chose your company in good faith, believing that you represent fairness and hospitality beyond politics. Sadly, this incident proved otherwise, damaging what should have been a positive journey. Although the destinations and the cruise itself were excellent, the overall experience was marred from the very beginning. We felt unwelcome, which was both disappointing and disheartening. As a result, I must leave a low rating. This evaluation, however, may improve in the future should your company demonstrate a genuine change in attitude and approach. We are prepared to give you a second chance on our next trip, but we sincerely hope that such behavior will not be repeated.

Yesterday I went with my family, including two kids, on the Elisabeth Cruises trip to Skiathos, and we were more than satisfied. The crew on the boat created the perfect atmosphere, we had so much fun, and the kids were just as happy. Of course, our guide Goga from the MM agency, who was responsible for our group, played a big part in that. It was truly a beautiful day thanks to all of you. We’ll definitely see you again, thank you for making our holiday even better! Greetings from Serbia! 🛥️🌊❤️

At each of the 18 stations there is a QR code that you can open with the photo app on your cell phone. You then have the choice between 9 languages: Greek, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. If there are several people in the museum, it is better to hold your cell phone to your ear and avoid using the loudspeaker. By the way, the virtual tour also offers a text output. So many languages would certainly not have been possible with conventional labeling in a museum. Anyone who is not afraid of today's communication technology will be thrilled by this museum. Wish that more tourist would find this place. I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Reborn Project Gallery Art House in Skiathos. The curator was incredibly enthusiastic and truly passionate about art, which was evident in every aspect of the gallery. She took the time to carefully explain each piece, sharing the stories and emotions behind them. Her deep knowledge and genuine love for art made the visit not just enjoyable, but also deeply inspiring. This is not just a gallery, but a place where art comes to life.
