Serpukhov History and Art Museum is a must-visit for art enthusiasts, boasting a rich collection of over 40 thousand unique exhibits, making it one of the most extensive in the Moscow Region. Housed in the Marayev Mansion, once belonging to a prominent merchant family, this museum showcases the Marayev family's exceptional collection as its centerpiece. Visitors can admire an impressive art gallery featuring works by renowned Russian and foreign artists.
One of the essential spots to go if your are visiting Serpukhov in my opinion. Was surprised by seeing some of the paintings. Tickets are quite cheap, however if you wanna take pictures you have to pay extra money and with that lighting inside its not worth it.
