The waiter was nice and friendly, which is far from a given in Russia. All the food was authentic and marvelous. I especially recommend the kvas, which was home-made and the best I've ever had. The beet and meat soup was delicious.You can also grab some souvenirs from the the shop inside the restaurant.

Tourist-aimed kind of restaurant (not surprised because of the location), they even tried to make us buy some souvenirs while we were eating. The dishes were simple and not too impressive. The decoration is great, old Russian style, the views are also good.

Recommended place but needs improvements in services. As it is located at a religious and touristic town of Sergiev Posad, it would be nice to have staff that are welcoming especially to foreigners. The manager or PIC should have an air of friendliness more and the waiters as well but instead they were looking like they hadn't seen foreigners before when the restaurant is equipped with Chinese translation and English menu. Mind you they sell souvenirs too so foreigners are expected. They looked a bit like deers in the headlights lol. Very amusing to see their faces and awkwardness when we just wanted to get some lunch. The seafood salad was fantastic, interior was Russian folklore to the max I LOVED THE TOILETS it was clean and aromatic. However the salmon main course is too salty. Please hire English speaking staff since you are aiming for tourists obviously. The interior up to the napkin is well thought of and homely and feels like we're entering a traditional Pushkin fairytale.
