Nature & Parks
Mianus River Park, located on the border of Stamford and Greenwich, is a 389-acre nature reserve consisting of three sections: Mianus River Park, Mianus River and Natural Park, and Mianus River State Park. This urban forest offers rugged mountain biking and hiking trails, fishing spots, and plenty of dog-friendly paths. The park features lush wetlands, tributary streams, rugged rock formations, a wildflower garden, and a cave.
4.24.24 Yhe river is gorgeous, and the trail we took was very wide and very well maintained. I wish I lived closer tho...according to their map there are a lot of trails to explore
Curt D — Google review
Could do with more "you are here" maps but apart from that nicely maintained but small trail
Dean C — Google review
A nice place for a walk with many intersecting trails. There's a few beautiful homes bordering the park. Today's walk was particularly nice as it was cool but not cold, and the fallen leaves make for a pretty sight. There's ample parking at the Greenwich parking lot.
Chris L — Google review
Peaceful. Well kept, Except for the trashed Christmas trees - odd to see them right along the scenic river banks. Nice mix of trees and flowers. Thank you
Ernie T — Google review
A whimsical wonderland of many trails to choose from for all different skill levels. I entered on the Stamford side which has two levels of parking lots that are smaller and fill up quickly. I parked by the old red barn and walked over the bridge and entered the trailhead at the starting point. I had intentions of doing the 4mi loop around and started out on that trail following the yellow markers which then turned into green/ yellow and did not end up back where I started. The markers were a little confusing and I didn't feel it was accurate to the map. I loved the trails! From the River Trail along the water, to passing big boulders of rocks, the park was beautiful. I did however come out on the Greenich side and found out I was on the complete opposite side of the park of where I had parked. With this being my first time here, it was a little difficult to navigate. Talked to a few locals who were able to give me directions back. It was a great 7mi walk with a few bumps in the trails : )
Greecian K — Google review
What a lovely park! So many winding beautiful trails to choose from. River side, cliff side, woodsy… is a perfect place for a walk or ride. You can take an easy cruise down a main trail or find technical rocky trails with switch backs and big drops
Zach G — Google review
Busy place on a nice Sunday Afternoon. Parking is a premium and I was lucky to get a spot but I knew that from other reviews. Lots of trails with a fair amount of people. It's a very pretty area. Shared with runners and mountain bikers so be alert. Lots of dogs which are supposed to be on leash and only ran into a couple off leash. Would go back again.
Brian — Google review
Easygoing, scenic trails. There's a nice variety to see between fisherman seeking brown trout & frogs inhabiting the river, dogwalkers, mountain biking, joggers, fancy homes, and winding trees. Decent amount of parking but bear in mind to use a restroom before visiting: the red barn building on premise is locked up.

Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is a stunning 93-acre parkland in Stamford, CT, offering diverse gardens and natural landscapes showcasing local flora and fauna from Southwestern New England. The arboretum houses an herbarium with over 3500 specimens from around the world and features various collections including conifers, azaleas, rhododendrons, nut trees, pollarded trees, magnolias, and Theaceae plants.
We take our dog here every weekend. Love this place, you never know what you're going to see. If you're lucky you'll see the resident owls.
James D — Google review
A fairly large arboretum with many small trails, greenhouse, and flower garden. From the entrance, it wasn't immediately clear there was more parking space inside. The trails were quite rocky and are moderately difficult to traverse. Nonetheless, the wetland walkway was interestingly constructed to run over (as opposed to across) the riverbed.
Andrew L — Google review
A wonderful wooded park with well maintained trails and beautiful gardens. Concerts on the lawn on Sunday during the summer. A gem of a place.
Michael M — Google review
An amazing natural getaway with a wide variety of trees, gardens, and trails. With no entry fee, this is the best place to go for peaceful walks. These trails are dog-friendly and all of the people I interacted with here are welcoming such as the gardeners who frequent the space as well as the staff who manage it and organize events. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area!
Tristan M — Google review
I can't believe this place is so big, so beautiful, so peaceful and free. Oh yes, most beautiful things in life are free❤️
Eva L — Google review
Nice family friendly hiking area. A bit rocky and rooty. Overrun with rambunctious boy scouts. Zero wifi. Dog friendly.
Ktol 1 — Google review
Lovely Arboretum and Gardens. Free to enter. Located right off of Merritt Parkway (Route 15). Lots of food options nearby along High Ridge Road. There is a large parking lot close to the main area nearby the visitor's/welcome center. There is also a smaller space which accommodates about 5-6 vehicles as soon as you enter...this eaves you closer to the pond trail. Lots of walking paths on the well-maintained grounds. There are garden areas throughout .... be sure to take a photo of the map and/or follow the signs to explore each area. Bring comfortable and hike-ready footwear...especially if you plan on walking on some of the trails. The few staff members I encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Came here with my family. We enjoyed ourselves 100%. The location and grounds are beautiful. The animal and wildlife look happy and well looked after. I never imagined there would be otters here! My daughter loved that part as well as the playground, I loved the art gallery as well as paying a visit to the cows! It was a very enjoyable day!

Beautiful and fun place to visit. As soon as you arrive you prompt to purchase your ticket at the gate. You cab pay with cash or card. The entrance fee is definitely worth it for all you get to see and explore. There is a lot to do (museum, hikes, walk path, animals to see and much more). I recommend spending 2-3 hours there.
Yanibel C — Google review
Great for kids, make sure to go when the reptile room is open!
Michael O — Google review
The wheelchair boardwalk is extensive and lovely! Ironically the start of Trail 7 is currently inaccessible, making it unsafe and painful. Looks like the gravel wore away. Please maintain this part or consider a permanent threshold ramp solution, so the Wheel in the Woods is truly wheelable 🙂 I look forward to coming back again.
Allison L — Google review
Reallllly awesome place for kids and adults alike. Beautiful grounds and my son pet a baby goat, a Llama and a horse here! There is also an amazing otter that they feed every day and I recommend bringing your kid to watch the show!
Convertible S — Google review
Had our first date here in March 2022. 3 years later came back with our baby boy..great relaxing spot with ever changing art. Love the vibes and we took some perfect photos
Alan B — Google review
We were very happy to discover this place. Only 15 minutes from Stamford downtown. There is a bit of everything here: I really liked the palace and the statues. The boardwalks were nice and peaceful. We met two young fawns there. Also on the territory of the nature center we saw a lot of animals: cows, goats, chickens, ponies, pigs, horses, llamas and many reptiles in small souvenir houses. And otters, they are as always, amusing and amazing. Worth a visit for sure, even without children - a good anti-stress therapy.
Olena J — Google review
Not really for adults. When was the last time you were at the Stamford nature center? Maybe as a child? It’s got a cool old mansion with an art gallery, sculptures outside, an adjacent Full farm with petting, a natural preserve watershed with trails and elevated deck, and a little bit of art and a lot of basic science. They also have a brand new “barn” area w patio that opened November 2018 for wedding ceremonies - it is very nice. and they are building a full planetarium and observatory over the next few years! Disabled accessible, family friendly. No pets. But glad I came it’s very pretty today! Will come again. Plenty of donations. Snack food at gift shop and food trucks on site. Would give 5 stars if more epic scenery for adult hikes. Great for kids. Great for indoor and outdoor events. Good for weddings.

Fort Stamford, located in a public park, is home to the archaeological remains of a Revolutionary War fort. The site also features the Goodbody Garden, which was once owned by New York financier Marcus Goodbody and has been restored to its former glory by the Stamford Garden Club and Glenbrook Garden Club.
What a beautiful location. Stopped here on my way to hike the Mianus and wished I had packed a lunch. The garden is GORGEOUS! It’s so incredibly relaxing. I’ll be back, picnic basket in hand.

Down a curvy county road lies this quiet, green pocket of peace. It’s not big, but it’s full of charm. Flowering plants, shaded benches, and the gentle sound of birds. It feels like a secret spot meant just for you. A lovely surprise.
Ed A — Google review
Honestly a fantastic little rustic location. Very cool to see some of the history here. The garden is absolutely gorgeous, and it's a very peaceful place to be. Unfortunately the fort itself is no longer around but the place is still incredible
Stamford/Waveny M — Google review
Just a wonderful place to relax and go for a fast walk. Gardens are amazing with a very wide spectrum of flowers. Great place to take your dog for a walk. Small clean park with lots of interesting locals visiting daily. Lots of parking. Can get busy during the summer months.
Nicolas R — Google review
Small. Historic former fortress now just a hole. Pretty garden but that’s all. Note the Morial to the cat in a little fountain. Maybe a nice place to picnic briefly but would not plan to do anything here besides wedding photos
JEREMY S — Google review
Very picturesque I had my baby photo shoot here, small, peaceful park off the main road, they're many different variation of flowers to view, they're plenty of open space to have a picnic, just to walk around and relax, parking is to the side, bring your bug spray.
Mrs.Kimberley S — Google review
There's not much of a fort left so we were disappointed but it's still a lovely place
Aileen M — Google review
The park has a tiny barely visible “do not park on the grass sign” than is easy to miss. Other drivers I met there missed the sign too. Please use my and other guys’ $80 a car citations money to get bigger and actually visible signs and or provide a sufficient parking lot for the cars at this location. What a shame..

Cove Island Park is a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant city of Stamford, offering visitors a delightful escape from the urban hustle. It's nice, but lately there is a lot of vandal activity and crooks in motorized mopeds, park ranger does not exist, safety should be enforced

Outside CT car registration owners will have to pay $69 for a single day parking spot, really outrageous! A brilliant & devious plan to keep the visitors out. Even tourist congestion charges at Venice pales in it's comparison. Welcome to Connecticut, the 'Constituition State'. Visitors can enjoy the beautifully landscaped surroundings, including the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Fountain with its illuminated water streams. The people here are friendly! The area is nice. My friend and I like bringing something to sit on and letting our dogs play w the other dogs on the open grassy areas. I hope they’ll develop it more asap!
Cindy F — Google review
This park was on my list to check out while visiting this city. This was my 1st time visiting so I wanted to see this park which had some construction being done. I didn't have time to explore the entire park but the section i got to see did not have restrooms or a playground. Park is a decent size with plenty of seating and lounging around space. Coolest feature the the river that goes through the park. You can go in the river or just simply sit by rivers edge and enjoy nature.
Mikeyy L — Google review
A perfect place to enjoy Cherry Blossom. I went in the evening on a weekday. We visited during peak season, but the place was not so crowded. I loved it. It was a big area and nicely maintained. Car parking is also free beside the park. You can bring your pets. The Mil River is also awesome. I sat there for a long time. A must-visit place.
Rina — Google review
Mill River Park is a small, cute gem nestled in the heart of Stamford. It’s incredibly well maintained, making it perfect for peaceful strolls or family outings. The creek running through the center adds a calming, scenic charm. Cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant colors throughout the seasons make it a year-round delight. A lovely urban escape that blends nature and city life beautifully.
Vaibhav G — Google review
Super peaceful, walkable and rather clean. Lots of seating and lots of sites to see near the actual river.

This is not the Mill River park of my youth! I still hold fond memories of the annual pink tent festivals that showcased local talent, art, and food. The remake, as you can see, is lovely and landscaped with all flowers, ducks, and cascading waters. The carousel is in a separate building and there’s a food trunk and nature center.
Debi W — Google review
Just an hour drive from Rocky Hill, where we stay. There are quite a few trees in rows with full of blossoms. A small water cascade made the park more beautiful. Overall good experience to spend an April weekend to experience glimpse of cherry blossoms.

The Ferguson Library in Stamford, Connecticut is a prominent and historic public library with a striking Ionic portico. The main building, constructed in 1910 in the Georgian Revival style, is one of the largest libraries in the state. It offers educational programs and events for all ages, making it a great destination for family fun. Additionally, visitors can enjoy amenities such as a bookstore, cafe, and equipment checkout.
Beautiful library to go with kids. They have a very nice selection of books in Spanish too.
Leyre O — Google review
I called the library looking to see if they happened to have a source for information dating back to the 1970s. It was a long shot. And they didn't have it. The librarian I spoke to, (Karen), however, ascertained that there was a different source that might contain the same information. She got my details and said she would see what she could find out. A few hours later, Karen called with the exact information I was seeking. Wonderful service. Thank you!
Stephen R — Google review
Very fortunate to live a few blocks away from this library and the coffee shop connected to it. I was looking for a book for my book club, and they initially didn't have it. So I emailed, not really expecting a response. Just days later, they let me know they had purchased the book and it was available for me to borrow. It's a great library and seems to be a wonderful resource for the Stamford community as well!

We went for printing service and passport service and had good experience with both. The printing service is on the 2nd floor. You can log in one of their computers and print the document. It’s very convenient and the price is 10 cents per page. The passport service is in the basement. I highly recommend to make an appointment ahead of time to reduce waiting time. I highly recommend to prepare the doc and read instructions on what to bring ahead of time. The lady Leida helped us with passport for our baby. She’s very friendly, and professional. She took great pictures of the baby and ensure the pictures are good with us. She’s also very nice to the baby.

Shopping mall
Stamford Town Center is a well-established indoor shopping destination that houses a mix of big-box chains, trendy boutiques, and dining options. It also serves as the home to the Palace Theatre, which hosts various performances including theater, dance, and music. The center features an art collection and gallery showcasing local and regional artists. Additionally, it offers educational programs such as workshops and classes for the community to engage in the arts.
Stamford Town Center isn’t a bad mall—it’s just on the quieter side these days, with fewer stores than it used to have. Shopping options are limited, but I actually enjoy coming here for the center sitting area. It’s calm, clean, and a nice spot to relax or take a break if you’re in the area. Not really a “spend all day” kind of mall, but good for a peaceful pause.
Kimberly L — Google review
This was my 1st time visiting this city and checking out this mall was on my list. Mall was pretty nice, it has 4 levels of shopping plenty of parking. You'll find a big selection of brands. Arcade, kids play area and multiple cool glass elevators that offers nice view as u go up and down. Some stores were closed and others were still being added. There's a nice area in the center of the mall which was my favorite part. Mall located in the downtown area near all the restaurants, parks so much much more. Mall also offer a food court and plenty of seating and also includes a kids play area. Overall it's a cool mall to visit if you're visiting this part of town.
Mikeyy L — Google review
I recently visited Nathan’s at Stamford Mall in Connecticut, and I have to say, it was a disappointing experience overall. While the place looked clean and well-maintained, the food just didn’t live up to expectations—even for fast food. I ordered their crispy chicken sandwich combo, and what stood out immediately was how chewy and dry the burger was. It felt like they had taken a frozen patty, heated it excessively (probably in an oven or microwave), and served it without much thought to texture or freshness. The patty lacked any juiciness or real flavor. Instead, what you taste are overpowering artificial flavors and preservatives—most likely the typical chemical additives franchises use to ensure consistency and longer shelf life. Unfortunately, this just made the food feel more synthetic than satisfying. The crinkle-cut fries were okay but also felt mass-produced and under-seasoned. The drinks were standard, nothing memorable. I understand this is a franchise, and many chains serve similar quality food. But compared to even basic fast food joints, this just didn’t feel like a decent meal. It lacked that simple comfort or authenticity you might expect from a place boasting “The Flavor of New York.” Having read some earlier reviews, I noticed others shared similar experiences—complaints about rubbery patties, mediocre customer service, and bland sides. Sadly, I can now say I experienced the same. If you’re at the Stamford Mall and craving something fresh or flavorful, I’d suggest exploring other options in the food court.
Rajat R — Google review
I remember this place 30 years ago as bustling. Now it seems to be in steep decline. Many closed shops and those that are left are gaming and not the premier brands. Most of those premier brands seems to have resettled in Norwalk. See below for Prime Time Saturday afternoon. No one there.
Simon C — Google review
Today, I visited the mall for the candy crawl and found it to be well-organized and enjoyable for the children. Despite the large crowd, the mall was remarkably clean, which is commendable considering the high volume of people and activity.

We had an unforgettable time bringing our Bubble DJ Dance Party to Stamford Town Center on behalf of Magical Memories Entertainment! The energy was off the charts! From nonstop dancing, upbeat music, and a sea of bubbles that brought smiles to every face. The crowd was fully engaged from beginning to end, making it an absolute joy to perform. A huge thank you to the Stamford Town Center team for being so organized, professional, and welcoming. It was a fantastic collaboration, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!
Magical E — Google review
The mall itself is big and well kept, but it could use some new, large, and mainstream stores - the aren’t my options outside of Macy’s.
Dan C — Google review
They just updated the parking payment system in the garage to a parking spot “rental” system. You have to actively end your rental to stop paying for parking, you can’t just pay for an allotted time and move on with your day. It’s an obvious attempt to squeeze even more money out of consumers. Things like this are why I’m so thankful to have moved out of Stamford. I can’t wait to never come back. Updating my review to mention that I absolutely did have to manually end my parking “rental” 30 minutes after I left, unlike their claims. Such a lame place

Cummings Park, an expansive 80-acre beachfront park in Stamford, offers a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. Named after former mayor Homer Stille Cummings, the park features a boardwalk, fishing pier, playground, and snack bar. Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of basketball and tennis courts as well as four softball fields. The park's location on Long Island Sound provides stunning views and opportunities for outdoor activities.
Amazing sea beach you can enjoy with your family during summer. And one important thing dogs are also allowed during June. But what I felt is the parking permit it big higher. $25 they charges there as parking permit during summer. One more thing I have noticed people who bring their pet need to keep the park clean.Otherwise it’s good in every aspect. You can go for fishing also in a particular part of the beach.

I’ve only been here in the fall so far. What a gem! I went to sunrise, I saw there’s no parking permit needed from end of September til late spring and it’s open til 10pm. I’ve gone only for a morning sunrise walk and shoot. The photos speak for themselves. The beach points East/Southeast so you get a pretty magnificent view of the sunrise. There are great running trails everywhere and lots of people walking their dogs.

The First Presbyterian Church, also known as the Fish Church, is a renowned architectural landmark in Stamford. Designed by Wallace K. Harrison, it features a 260-foot-tall Maguire Memorial Tower with a 56-bell carillon. The church's unusual shape resembles that of a fish, symbolizing early Christianity and is evident in both its profile and floor plan.
Fish-like church with a very unique architecture. Always wanted to tour it and recently had a chance. Go inside if you have a chance to see how light plays with stained glass walls, very beautiful. A bell tower holds real bells and a real person playing on Sundays. People are very welcoming here

Beautiful space, very inviting. The lady that answered turned on the lights for me and directed me to some papers that showed the hidden figures in the stained glass, definitely worth the stop.

en a member for 50 years as well as my extended family since the 1970s. and it is nothing like it was in the first four decades. Pastor Ron James would be turning over in his grave. It’s not a religious experience than it is an extension of the Democratic national committee preaching political views each Sunday from the pedestal. Sheep and wolves clothing. Easter Sunday program- Cover.

Gorgeous stained glass murals of the crucifixion and the resurrection and backstory of the building. Same architect as the one who created the Rockefeller center among other famous works. Huge thanks to the director who let us in.

This church is a wonderful place that welcomes every one. I grew up in, learned about faith, was confirmed, got married in, and now am raising my son in the fish church. It is an amazing community and helps families flourish together.

My family loves Fish church! I definitely feel closer to God worshipping in the beautiful space. It is a wonderful and supportive community. Their programming for children is outstanding. The ministers, the music, and the people make this a unique and welcoming sanctuary within the surrounding busy-ness of Fairfield County.

Cove Island Park, situated on Long Island Sound, is an expansive 83-acre park offering sandy beaches, cycling paths, and a variety of recreational facilities. The park features two beautiful sand beaches, a children's play area, and a one-mile loop walking/running trail. It also has rollerblade/cycling paths and vast lawn areas for picnicking and kite-flying.
Came here for the day with my dog. Great place for her to run around but unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed on the sand. Many different fields to lay on, paths to walk and water to dip in! Parking is expensive if you aren’t a resident and could take some time to get up the street but definitely doable with about a 15 min walk… Nice spot to spend the day that has all in one beach & park!

BEAUTIFUL park with great views! Great place for walking, running, walking the dog, or just enjoying the outdoors. Spacious. Easy to find space away from others.
John H — Google review
One of my favorite places to go for a walk, picnic, or trip to the beach in Stamford. The sunrises and sunsets are always gorgeous near the shore. Many people walk their dogs, and there’s also a playground for children. During the summer, a beach permit is required otherwise you’ll have to pay for a day pass.
Caroline B — Google review
Beautiful peaceful walk, clean friendly encouraging fellow walkers. Very well kept park dog friendly.
Calandra B — Google review
We went there in the last week of August on a week day. The temperature was about 74F/23C, water temperature was about 71F/ 22C. So the water was chilly to dive in, but then we thoroughly enjoyed swimming. The beach has an entrance fee of $22 for a car with Stamford license plate or $46 for non-residents. The fee is about $69 for non-resident on a weekend! Commensurate with the fee, the facilities are amazing. The beach and the water is very clean. It has three beaches, the water gets deeper than 6 feet within ten meters of the shore, so if you are not a good swimmer, make sure you use a life jacket. The beach is very calm and is not wavy at all. It has sandy beach volley courts with net and has a lot of picnic benches and huge picnic area. It has proper and well maintained roads for walking/jogging.
Muhammad M — Google review
This park is one of the best things for my wife and I after moving to Cove and have it be within walking distance. Perfect for a relaxing walk, a beach day, a BBQ, a picnic, stepping into the tide pools, trying to catch some fish, looking at all the fireflies around dusk, heading out on a kayak….Its such a treasure.
Kasun N — Google review
Miles of neat walking and biking paths. Gorgeous views of Long Island sound. Nice beach. Convenient restrooms at either end. Needs a season pass (for stamford residents) or a day pass for non residents to enter via vehicle and park. There's a free tram that runs in the summer and takes you around the whole park if you are walking or biking challenged! Picnic benches abound. Great place for a picnic lunch.
Rama R — Google review
Beautiful and serene place for a quiet afternoon walk. The park is well maintained except there are no restrooms. You can sit on the benches overlooking the river and have some quiet time to yourself. The view is amazing. The walking track is pretty small.

Stopped by for a six pack before the great shutdown. Tried a few brews before buying and got a tip from the brewer who happened to be sitting at the bar with his pup. Can def say that Beacon IPA is a very good beer, even for someone who isn’t huge on IPAs. Happy to report that their website allows for pick-up cans as long as you order ahead.

Good Beer but the place is a little cramped and there is no room outside. We were told there was a patio however all I saw was a small ledge right in front of a parking lot. My wife and I joked about the "patio ledge" while enjoying some beers inside. The location is in a pretty industrial area that is off the beaten path. Bartender was fun and friendly.

Several very good choices. I had the rise and shine (coffe porter)plus the grace and darkness (oyster stout) 2 very palate pleasing choices. Would def return for some of the other varieties as well.

Very clean beach, it’s quiet and really relaxing. Not many people out at all. Definitely a good place to go to de-stress, do yoga, study, read a book, etc.
Justin P — Google review
I love West Beach. I gave it four stars because the bathrooms aren't open yet and I couldn't find a trash bin. But the beach itself was beautiful. I've been lucky enough that it hasn't been really crowded anytime I've gone. The tide was out but the water was crystal clear.
Bonnie G — Google review
Googled this beach to come out for the day. Paid $42 per car and thought it would be something good. However, upon arrival the beach is small, closed off with a jetty, that extends. In addition, the sand is mixed with gravel and small sand front. Within 15 minutes of setting up, the beach was shut down by staff for a thunderstorm warning. 1 hour later, we were still waiting as these lifeguards were on their phones. 30 mins for every bout of thundrr which we did not hear. We could not be on the sand nor in the water. What a waste of money. Beach is Def not worth the price, more like $20 per car at most. Definitely a rip off and you can find a different beach. ENDED UP LEAVING BECAUSE THEY NEVER REOPENED THE BEACH. Meanwhile the sky was clear.
Sara- — Google review
I really like the beach. Laid back and clean, but non residents pay $80 for parking for the day. There are food options. Ice cream truck came by. Water is calm but does recede a bit. The one perk is that you can visit 2 addt'l nearby beaches on the same day for the one pkg fee but whose going beach hopping after getting settled. Had I known trust I would've went elsewhere. My friend and I split the cost and made the best of it.
Danielle J — Google review
It's all relative. The sand is a a lot rougher than I would like although they do rake it. The playground is super small but nice enough. The bathrooms are clean. There's a shower to rinse off. Plenty of parking. Not very busy, at least not in August and Sept when i stayed nearby. Someone says it costs $42 to park there but I did not see an attendant booth or gate. I think I would spend the $70 and go to the nicer beaches in Westport. On the other side is Cummings Beach and that's going to be quite a bit more busy and does have an attendant Booth so maybe that's what they the reviewer was referring to. The sand is relatively a lot nicer but it looks like it will get a lot busier.
Michael O — Google review
I visited this small clam beach on a Friday summer afternoon not knowing the entrance fee for vehicles were 42$. Unfortunately it there was a thunderstorm warning which didn’t even allow us to get in. While I understand that weather is unpredictable, there was no clear warning before entry that the beach might close due to a thunderstorm. Not long after paying the full price, the beach was shut down for safety reasons, and visitors were asked to get o it of the water and the sand.
Taha M — Google review
I was amazed with how close and clean this beach was. Been to a few beaches in ny and they were trash. Only one I liked was Jones Beach Long Island only when they had the real ruff waves after the hurricane. I got to body surf sweet. Then I heard about shark attacks ratings are higher then the very next day someone got attacked. Never went there again then found West Beach. Wayyy more calmer as if in a back yard pool. It was a lot nicer right after the pandemic I won’t lie. You could see the bottom of the ocean so easy I felt I was in the Caribbean. The only big issue I have here is the hassle you have to deal with to get a ticket. They want you go online and purchase it but sometimes it doesn’t work properly and last minute purchases are the worst. Don’t understand why they just don’t allow people to pay upon walk-in even if they add an additional $5. Then you still have to pay such a high sucky fee for your car. If you don’t want the car at the beach just say so and provide electric bikes and scooters at the main entrance especially since it’s a sight seeing park as well. The price seriously is dumb for cars but perfect for people walking. $10 was a fabulous price. The water isn’t as crystal clear anymore like the ones in the photos but the beach is definitely high rated on the low (Don’t think many know about it). The more people find out about it (especially the ones that don’t care to take care of the beach only party and trash things) you later realize is us destroy our nice things. I’ll be honest I was a little intimidated at 1st as I was the only black man at the beach at that particular time and I’ve never been in neighborhoods with higher white people ratio plus you had to drive through a lot of big big houses resulting you questioning if you’re in the right place exploring but so far I’ve been having a great time. I’m usually separated from people in general but I did encounter some very sweet people along with the grinch!!! So honestly color don’t mean anything to me. Don’t know what the big fuss be about when you can’t even choose whether black or white or Chinese, Indian, Caribbean, etc. And you sure can’t choose born a woman or a man!!! So before you come with any racist feelingz please find a place in you closet.
S ( — Google review
Parking gets packed quickly, bring a cart if you have lots of stuff. Wear water shoes, lots of sharp rocks. Can't play catch in the water. Check the tide chart. Swimming area is pretty small and gets shallow quick if the tide is going out. Area is roped off due to nearby marina. Ice cream truck constantly xmas music. Location is easy in/out though.

The high-end eatery boasts a tropical ambiance and serves innovative Pan-Latin dishes alongside authentic Latin beverages. Hidden gem serving Latin American cuisine in Stamford. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner; the menus differ slightly, but there are dishes to love in both. The meal always starts out with yummy plantain chips and pico de gallo salsa on the house. They have a variety of delicious-sounding cocktails; I typically get their refreshing red sangria. From their appetizers (in both the lunch and dinner menus), their empanadas are a stand out. The dish comes with three empanada flavors: beef, chicken, and pork. They’re cut in half and served with a creamy guajillo pepper sauce. So full of flavor. Another delicious appetizer (only available in the dinner menu) is the “pinchos de churrasco”, three grilled skirt steak skewers with chimichurri sauce. In terms of entrees, the “bistec a caballo” (from the lunch menu) is a must-try! It’s a skirt steak that comes with caramelized onions and peppers, rice, black beans, sweet plantains, and a fried egg. The “churrasco gaucho” (from the dinner menu) is my other go-to. It consists of a 12 oz grass fed prime NY strip steak served with roasted asparagus, baby gold potatoes, and chimichurri sauce. These entrees are huge; I definitely recommend sharing. For dessert, I’ve tried their crepes filled with dulce de leche and the tres leches cake, which is topped with guava sorbet. My preference for tres leches cake is for the cake to be very moist, so I found this cake to be on the drier side. The sorbet is quite sweet and tropical, so I wish the tres leches cake came with a different flavor of sorbet, or with the sorbet on the side. The desserts aren’t the most impressive part of the meal, but they’re still worth trying. Service is fast and I love their interior decoration! The parking lot is quite small, but they have valet parking.

I wish I knew about this restaurant sooner! The decor and ambiance is so cute and the patio is perfect for a summer dinner or drinks at the outdoor bar. Everything we ordered was incredible from the empanadas to the steak and the delicious crepes. Drinks were also really great and you can tell everything is very fresh! The seasonal cocktails all sound so good, so I will definitely be back soon! Plus, they have a great happy hour with deals on drinks and apps!

Great food, amazing service. The staff were very friendly and provided heartfelt recommendations. I really enjoy a seeing the workers who have a favorite meal especially when asked "which would you order". I love when they have an opinion, I get not everyone has the same taste but when a waiter says "that's my favorite, you might not like it but I love it" to me that speaks volumes. Food was great, would eat here again and probably will.

Colony Grill in Stamford is a local chain that has been around since 1935, offering unique thin-crust pizzas with a signature hot oil topping. The establishment was founded by Irish-Americans and features a casual setting with TVs and a bar. Rarely do I leave reviews. There’s enough yapping out there anyway. This place, however?…….killer. Great beers. Great service. Great pizza. That’s the key too. They focus their talents on one thing…….great pizza. No 5 page oversized menu with a bunch of mediocre dishes. Concise and coherent. I ordered a pizza with a bunch of toppings and where it’s usually soggy and floppy, this thing held its own. Crispy and delicious with every bite. Friendly staff great atmosphere and I loved the music even the stuff I didn’t like.

I went on a very busy night and was greeted and seated quickly. My server saw me in uniform and asked if i needed a rush on my food as i was on a quick lunch break. I was amazed with the service standards because thats how a restaurant should be run. The pizza was really good.
Danielson — Google review
5/5 for the pizza itself. Reasonably priced, delicious, and definitely in my personal top 10... maybe even top 5. The pizza has more in common with midwest/chicago 'tavern pizza' (thinner crust but still had a decent chew, not crackers like). Good selection of beers both "standard" and local draft. 100% is a "coming here again" next time I am in the area

25 years ago we were lucky enough to live near Colony Grill and it was delicious then! But we were young and hadn’t eaten 🍕 around the world! We came back! Yup, still the best damn pizza EVER! Thin crust, firm though and everything, the sauce, the cheese, is in perfect balance! And you do t have a bloat belly on after!
Ruchika — Google review
Had a pepperoni and stinger pizza with hot oil on the side. It was so thin and crisp. Almost like the crust had been fried. It was really good. Highly recommended.

Omg, this was the best pizza I have ever had and I've had 1000000 pizzas. They only do pizza, and they do it to perfection!! And my French Martini, or two, were amazing!!!!!

Diner
American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Elm Street Diner is a beloved family-owned establishment that serves up a delightful mix of Greek and American cuisine in a cozy setting. Recently featured on the Cooking Channel, this popular diner now offers outdoor dining for the first time, providing around 32 seats for guests to enjoy their extravagant IG specials, waffle towers, shakes, and traditional favorites. Additionally, they provide delivery and curbside pick-up options along with decorate-your-own donut and waffle kits.
So I travel around a lot and I do reviews on food oh my God this is the best diner I have ever been to ever and I mean that not one complaint about anything me and my husband got short rib, mac & cheese loaded fries oh my God try them. You are not going to regret it. The short ribs were the best ribs I have ever had. There was nothing dry about them. They were so tender and melted in your mouth. OK next I had the fettuccine Alfredo on top of vodka sauce chicken cutlet mad cheesy so much sauce. The chicken cutlet itself was completely tender and crispy. it was so good. They even gave us buttery garlic bread to go with it delicious. Next, we got the birria super breakfast burrito spot on ginormous you’re gonna save some for later. Trust me because it is so huge. It has a lot of flavor. Unfortunately, after trying all that stuff we were so full we couldn’t move so we didn’t order dessert but they gave us donuts complementary so nice of them . The energy when you go in OK the patience of the waiter the respect of the people inside as soon as the dish was dirty they were right on top of it Very very kind i’m going back until I try every single thing on that menu !!! They deserve recognition !!!!!

Girls trip weekend we planned for months, this being our destination! After 3 hours in the car we make it to the diner just before 11. There was no wait which was great! We shared the spicy vodka chicken with Alfredo and the pork belly breakfast tacos. Service was amazing! Presentation was top tier! Taste was nothing special! We expected the wow that just didn’t happen! We returned for dinner the same day and were greeted and directed to a table again no wait…. After ordering they brought complimentary donuts which were ok. We ordered the super sampler and the cowboy burrito and two peanut butter cup milkshakes. After waiting for some time the burrito was served. We asked that they either cut the burrito in 3’s or not at all since we were sharing. It was cut in half! We managed to split it so no big deal. We waited a few more minutes before the super sampler was served. Still no milkshakes…. After reminding them about the milkshakes they were finally served! Definitely not worth the $12 price tag but they were good! The service the second time around was nothing to brag about! May have been the language barrier. Either way, we have decided to chalk it up to an experience but neither one of us have a desire to go back anytime soon!

Very fun place for their over the top shakes. If you are looking for a fun wow factor these shakes are it. Didn’t try any of the over the top food so curious how that is. The regular food we had was marginal, not diner standard but in fairness two of the meals were kids meals. Will likely return again when looking for a crazy wild food experience. If it were food alone I would rate a 3 but this place is definitely worth visiting for an outrageous dessert.
Kathy D — Google review
If you’re looking for a cool spot with a very creative and fun menu… This is it! Everything we ate was absolutely amazing… The service was fast and efficient.. Even the bathrooms were spotless. This dinner is definitely worth the trip down here.
Ryan H — Google review
We ordered the birria crunch wrap and the buffalo chicken salad wrap the buffalo was great the birria was lacking flavor. Was this the worse birria I ever had? Absolutely broth was very oily and had no flavor, however the onion rings were fried to perfection. The serving was great. Would I come back? Maybe but would definitely order something else.
Frances M — Google review
You know, when you see places blow up on social media you're a little skeptical. Normally the aesthetics are great but the food is eh. Not here though! The food was so instagram worthy & DELICIOUS! Plus the portions are hugeee. Everything my friends and I got, we loved. We came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and did not have to wait for a table. Service was kind of slow, but the restaurant was busy so it was expected. We got the double stack big mac quesadilla, buffalo chicken curly fries, and strawberry cheesecake french toast. My personal fav was the quesadilla and strawberry cheesecake french toast! They were both super delicious and filling. We went home with so many leftovers. Such a good deal for the price and how much food you get. They have all these outrageous foods, especially their dessert. A great place to bring your kids for a birthday party!
Chassidie L — Google review
Enjoyed a dinner here, and returned for breakfast the next morning. Dinner was very good, we had a burger and a southwest salad. Both tasted very good, and surpassed diner expectations. They gave us free donuts at the end of the night and we enjoyed watching them make milkshakes for other customers. For breakfast we had pancakes and the Grand Slam breakfast. Both were very good, waiter was helpful in substituting sides, as well as fast and attentive. Overall really enjoyed our experience and is a solid staple for the area!

This place is a 5 for diners, Guy Fieri is prolly gonna do a show here sooner or later if he hasn’t yet, great spot for the kids, the staff treats you like a locals ( it was our first time, my son wanted to try he saw them on IG) we drove 40 mins it was worth it, and we will be back. Great concept, super kid friendly, the doughnuts art OMFG yum!! Amongst other menu items.

Trap't Escape Room Adventures is an exhilarating interactive experience located in Stamford, CT, where participants engage in a series of challenging puzzles to escape from various locked rooms. Unlike typical escape rooms that focus on a single space, Trap't offers the unique twist of solving clues across multiple rooms within a thrilling sixty-minute timeframe.
Trap't Stamford is amazing!!! We've done all 3 rooms and each is more fun than the next. These rooms are well beyond the typical 'solve a puzzle, open a lock' cycle. Creative, fun, and completely engaging from start to finish. Great for all ages, from our 15 year old son to 90 year old grandma - we all had a great time! Highly recommend for anything from a family fun night to business team building!
Jennifer K — Google review
Not awesome. I know the building controls the heat- and not Trapt itself- but it made the hour nearly unbearable. And in terms of it being enjoyable- if you need hints and the one person working is setting up another team for another room… you’re out of luck. They say they’ll add more time if they take awhile to get you a clue, but we waited five minutes for our first clue and the person working had no way of knowing how long we’d been waiting. Lost all that time. You need to have two people working then. Also at one point we had a combo correct but they said the “lock hadn’t been reset right”. No extra time, no mention at the end of the game- nothing. We’ve done dozens of escape rooms and this was by far the least intuitive.
Dawn G — Google review
We have played dozens of escape rooms around the country and were really excited to play Time Chasers at Trap't, having read a positive review on Room Escape Artist. Unfortunately, even though the game was pretty well-designed with a good flow, the service was disappointing and really negatively impacted our game experience, making it not-so-fun. This review is mainly because our gamemaster's interactions with us gave us the sense she did not really want to be there. She did not introduce her name to us and also did not offer to take our photos at the end (we had to ask). She also started resetting the game as she was talking to us at the end-- we had stopped the game exactly at the hour, so there was no reason to rush us. The gamemaster's lack of enthusiasm and engagement impacted our experience of the game play. We had come in with a lot of enthusiasm and left feeling disappointed. This felt very different from all our other escape room experiences. This experience felt out-of-place compared to all our other escape room experiences and ultimately we felt was not worth the amount we had paid for to walk away with that feeling after a game. I think it could have been really different with a different person running the game. Update: We heard from the owners and appreciated their efforts to improve our experience and future experiences there.
Mar W — Google review
Been here a few times over the years. Unfortunately, the owners have done littlento maintain, improve, or did aspects that lead to a good experience in each room. Between deteriorating walls and fixtures, to things not working and an under resourced evening supporting multiple rooms leading to a mediocre experience. I highly recommend to the ownership adding a new story, having a contractor redo the rooms to support better HVAC and fixing pieces. I'm afraid this is no longer worth it and recommend you look elsewhere in the area for an escape room, even if it means doing some short travel.
Terrence M — Google review
We did the "Save the President" escape room, and it was definitely one of the best I've ever experienced! Huge shoutout to Sebastian for his helpful clues and warm, welcoming personality. He really made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Horrible experience! Employee used a hint to call us stupid. Never again, horrible, atrocious…. i’m pausing for dramatic effect….. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS I don’t know why in the waiting room. There was no complementary bread. Why no complementary bread. Every escape room in my two years of life has had complementary bread. ⚱️👨🏿‍🦰

Non-profit organization
The Avon Theatre Film Center is a historic landmark in Stamford, Connecticut, offering a unique movie-watching experience. This early 20th-century theater showcases independent, documentary, and classic films alongside big-ticket movies. The restored venue exudes old-time charm with modern amenities like stadium seating. While some visitors find the ticket prices steep and the musty smell off-putting, others appreciate the opportunity to support independent theaters and enjoy reduced prices with a membership.
Amazing theatre! Just like how they used to be before the expensive big box conglomerates. This theatre is clean, super comfortable, shows a great selection, and is affordable. Thank you for keeping good cinema alive!
Alex C — Google review
Tired of the same old Hollywood formulaic sequel machine, come here for some beautifully crafted cinematic fare where the finest in films can still touch your soul. A true art house movie theatre for your viewing pleasure !
Fred C — Google review
I went when the heating was out, the theatre was about 15° but the staff made up for it by giving me free hot chocolate and popcorn! The theatre is absolutely beautiful, the seats recline in a slightly odd way but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Great prices. Highly recommend, especially just to take in the art-deco/old Hollywood style.
Zoe M — Google review
The Avon is a quaint and charming old theater in downtown Stamford, showing a variety of art films, retrospectives, and the like. It's a cool place where I've been a few times. Maybe it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles like some of the major movie chains, but going there and seeing something like The Widow Clicquot, which was my latest viewing there, is really enjoyable. I noticed that they're going to be showing It's A Wonderful Life there around Christmas time. I think I might go there then to see one of my favorite films on the big screen.
J. M — Google review
Beautiful small independent theater. Recently came for the first time to see Minari and we had an excellent experience. Coming to this theater makes you feel the elegance that theaters of the past possessed. I appreciate that the popcorn has real butter (upsetting that it's not the norm elsewhere) and that they also have a selection of beers. Would recommend for a date night or outing with friends.
PJ K — Google review
Real treasure to have a theater like this but sadly it smells musty and weird inside and makes me too uncomfortable to see anything there.
Benjamin T — Google review
A great place to see a movie! Beautifully old fashion.
Bridget C — Google review
Very beautiful building. So nice to see a theater like this. Feels like going back in time, yet it's modern with stadium seating ( although the seat cushion was totally worn out and uncomfortable. The theater did have a musty smell which was confusing? Why don't they use air freshener? And the ticket prices!! $14.50 for a noon matinee? WOW. But it's worth going once to experience the past. Next time I'll just go to the Majestic Bow Tie theater for more realistic ticket prices.

There is no doubt that me and my wife were very nervous in putting our daughter in daycare as it was all very new to us. However, after joining the JCC and getting to know all of the wonderful people, it soon became our saving grace. We knew that when we dropped her off she was safe and in good hands, and that’s all you can ask for as a parent. The facilities are incredibly clean, the classes fun and working out there was always a pleasure. I especially want to thank Danielle Mittleman as she has perpetually been truly kind and caring, and that made all the difference to our family. I am not one to write reviews, but felt compelled to share our sincere and overwhelming appreciation.

It's a fantastic community center, love the fitness classes (there's everything from strength to boxing to yoga to Zumba) and it's a great place to work (full disclosure: I'm one of the group fitness instructors here). I've never felt so welcomed anywhere else. Everyone has been so nice. You can tell the JCC cares about its members and has been constantly renovating and updating its facilities -- very important. My son is enrolled in the swim classes here and he's having an amazing time. Thank you!!
Vicky T — Google review
I swim 2x a week, my adult son uses the gym 3x a week, my wife takes workout and yoga classes 3x a week — and my friends play pickleball 2-3 nights a week as well. The JCC is the center of gravity for our community in so many ways — and we’ve been coming here since my kids were little. Like everyone, our kids learned to swim here, held big kids bday parties here, made friends for life at Sara Walker Nursery School (actually we made more life long friends this way than our kids did!), attended galas celebrating our friends or seeing a comedian now and then. I recommend giving it a look. You certainly don’t have to be Jewish to come daily, feel like you belong and make it part of your family’s story too. It’s clear that all people are cherished here.

Truly an amazing collection of antiques and vintage items. There are several dealers at this design center; while each has their own unique style - including which design period(s) they focus on collecting and presenting - and way of decorating their space, it all comes together to create a beautifully-curated, design-lovers' paradise. Whether you're looking for a statement piece of furniture, the perfect objet d'art, or a new (vintage) piece of art to grace your walls - Avery & Dash is a great place to explore. There is a good mix of prices but definitely what is expected for the quality of pieces presented (please understand, these are authentic vintage and antique pieces in fantastic condition and therefore are priced as collectors' items or investment pieces). Also, the design center staff was very helpful - they greeted us when we went in, allowed us to browse around without hovering, and offered info when I found some things I was interested in (they were very accessible had I needed them sooner). They were the perfect mix of helpful and accessible - without being pushy - and friendly when we started talking. Just go - stroll around, see beautiful things, and even if the prices are outside the budget, inspiration abounds here! I found 3 or 4 mid-century modern buffets/credenzas and 2 dining sets I wanted to take home. If you're there to take it all in, give yourself at least an hour or two - there really is a lot to see. And last but not least - there is a decent amount of parking right near the store.

How can you let kids go into water so dirty that people get infections from open cuts that are exposed to it? Why is it okay for poor kids who are mostly kids of color to swim in water that most middle-class folks wouldn't go near? You are endangering the health of every child you allow to swim in the Stamford marina/Bocuzzi beach area. If you wouldn't let your own kids swim there, don't sacrifice anyone else's.
MG P — Google review
The people were very nice and the interns, but I was a mom on one of the trips last summer and it really concerned me that they had a flounder at the petting station? Fish have that slime coat that they teach us at aquatic husbandry is very harmful to touch at all which is their immune response, then to see little kids pressing hard and rubbing the fish frantically and you could see the pain it was in. Second the tank the founder was held in was so sad, I’m guessing less then 10 gallon? They have a huge lobster in maybe a 10 gallon and it’s so big that it’s claws actually are out of the water but they don’t have him in a bigger tank. When we were also there they let the kids touch an injured horseshoe crab with a hole in the top which kids stuck their fingers in and then I found out it died that day. I am very concerned what else happens behind the scenes for these animals. The kids will now think it’s ok to touch a fish and their slime coat and to keep fish in small tanks. I’m not blaming the workers because maybe they weren’t trained properly, but it does make me question the treatment of these poor aquatic fish we are trying to be saving and respecting. I would love to give this place a 5 star if it could be addressed, thank you.

4.5 (google still doesn't have half stars???) Nice Museum. Nice staff. We went thinking there was going to be dinosaurs (like a massive natural history museum). Imagine our shock when we realized there's only 2 triceratop statues outside in the back of the building (so free! 😆) and one velociraptor inside (albeit a very cool one). And some bones. And stones (wish my kid let me look at them a bit more). There's some art as well, but there's no chance my 2 two year old was going to put up with that. That said, there's a massive series of playgrounds across the street that more than made up for any disappointment he may have had and will guarantee we pop in to the museum for a few min on our way to said playground. Doors close at 4:30. Leave by 5pm.

This visit was snacks and bevs + jazz quartet in the background while highlighting a present Manhattan artist's works. A unique, evening event that was a pleasant change from a daytime museum experience.

Curtain Call is a nonprofit theater organization that offers a variety of entertainment and educational programs for all ages. With two venues, the Kweskin Theatre and Dressing Room Theatre, they produce full-scale productions throughout the year. The company also provides workshops such as Young Actors Workshops, Writing Workshops, Acting for Kids, Improv for Kids, Comedy for Teens, Shakespeare Theatre, and Dance & Movement.
Last week I attended Come From Away with my wife. This was our first outing to the Kweskin theater and the venue is great. Not a bad seat in the house. The cast was amazing, playing multiple parts, different languages, and accents. The cast uses the stage very effectively to capture different locations and scenes. The music and singing were also exceptional. Overall a great experience!!

I participated in Stage Door for Youth & ACTA in my youth and have been a fan of community productions all my life. By far Curtain Call's version of this is the best community theater production I've seen, period! The mostly amateur cast was excellent, acting, singing co-ordination, timing all impressive. Lou you were excellent also! I was very impressed and moved throughout the production. The musical ensemble was also excellent. I saw a professional production on you tube a while ago but yours was as good if not better. I wish I could see it again but I'll be away..... Best regards

My husband & I attended Come From Away last evening. What a great production! This was our first time to the Kweskin Theater, but it won’t be our last. The theater is the perfect size for getting a good seat anywhere. The players were excellent in their roles…..very talented. It was a touching production. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! Thank you!

We’ve had wonderful evenings at Curtain Call several times just this past season and over the years. The actors dynamics are creative and they are on top of their game. We love the size and charm of the theater. We enjoy the audience and can’t help but keep involved this upcoming season. It’s a favorite Saturday night always!!! As long time Curtain Call regulars, COME FROM AWAY was one of our very favorite shows. Having seen this play 3 times on Broadway, I was anxious to see this local production. This play was flawless; all the characters were top notch with perfect timing and this production surpassed Broadway. We are so very lucky to have such professional theatre right in our neighborhood. Coming to Curtain Call and The Dressing Room Theatre are two of our most favorite places. Don't miss this one!
Nancy H — Google review
My wife and I wanted to see 'Come From Away' back when it was on Broadway but couldn't make it work. Finally got to see it at Curtain Call and the wait was well worth it. An absolutely great show with a powerful message about humanity, community, kindness and treating people like people no matter where they're from. Loved the theater and kudos to the entire cast playing multiple characters. The music brought it all together. Can't forget to mention how nice the staff and volunteer ushers were. Just a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, all at an affordable price just a 20 minute drive away. Can't wait to come back!
George A — Google review
We saw Come From Away years ago on Broadway and were blown away. Seeing it performed at Curtain Call was even better! Being in the smaller venue, enjoying the amazing talent of the cast, and being swept away with the incredible musicians made it an afternoon to remember! I strongly urge anyone looking for 100 minutes of pure pleasure to get your tickets to see Come From Away!!
Ann T — Google review
Best local theater in the area! I've been coming here since I was a teenager and I'm now in my 60s. They have the best shows and the most professional actors! And they get all the best plays. It's a great alternative to traveling down to Broadway. Easy parking and there are two great restaurants on the property!! A full night out of fun! I highly recommend it to all.

If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, the Greenwich Polo Club is a must-visit destination. Renowned for its thrilling polo matches held every Sunday from early June to mid-September, this venue offers more than just the excitement of the game. The picturesque grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a stunning backdrop for a day out with family and friends. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere filled with beautifully dressed attendees while indulging in picnics on the lawn.
We watched a polo match in early June with a group of friends, the weather was perfect, and the match was entertaining. Family friendly atmosphere. Pack your camping chairs and picnic basket.

I Visited the Greenwich Polo Club for the first time and I had such a great experience! The event was not only beautiful but also surprisingly clean for an outdoor venue from the seating areas to the restrooms, everything was well-maintained. The drinks were refreshing, the food options were solid, and the dessert was an unexpected standout, definitely save room for that ;) What made the day even better was how dog-friendly and family-friendly the atmosphere was. It’s rare to find an upscale event that still feels so relaxed and inclusive. Whether you’re there for the polo or just the vibe, it’s a perfect way to spend a Sunday. I’ll definitely be back!
Ana A — Google review
I have been wanting to go to the Greenwich Polo Club for two years and I was finally able to go! It was stunning, there were a ton of food trucks available, the drinks were amazing, and the show was great! I wish I had brought my parasol because the sun was strong, lol. Honestly, I loved it. It was a beautiful experience, and I will definitely go back! There are a ton of portable restrooms as well if needed and they had a couple of shopping pop ups at the event.

Professionally executed, dynamic international crowd, stunning modern setting and dizzying array of hospitality options. Highly recommended the Pony Bar and customary delicious Argentinian Asado following the game🙏

Muffy and Chad hosted a vin de la saison soiree at the Club and it was simply divine. I shan't forget it for some time - though the Clos de Goisses was corked, the DRC showed beautifully and the D'Yquem capped off the gathering quite well. Madison and Wellington should have joined, no matter what was in the works on St. Bart's!

The Stamford Center for the Arts is a beautifully restored theater from 1927 that offers a wide variety of entertainment options. From diverse concerts to Broadway musicals, comedy shows to kids' productions, there is something for everyone. Visitors can expect a clean and spacious environment, with larger seats available for those who need them. While the prices of drinks are unknown, the surrounding town offers opportunities for exploration despite the cold weather. Overall, it is a pleasant and inviting place to unwind and enjoy quality performances.
This was an easy to navigate venue. There's a parking garage the next block over which makes reaching the venue by foot convenient. The process of getting in an out was organized and smooth. The staff working the night of the event I went to were very friendly and helped those of us whom weren't able to find our seats right away. The orchestra put on a phenomal show and it was definitely worth the drive I made to attend.

Enjoyable experience watching Anthony Rodia. It did take quite long to get a drink though. The seating was very intimate but the seats seemed like they were old because they were very narrow. I basically almost had to sit sideways the entire show in order to be comfortable and I'm not that big of a person.

I did not know this place existed and I have been living in CT my whole life, the potential this place has to become the most amazing Arts Center is incredible. I loved it, very easy to get to, great location, friendly staff and most importantly they know how to pick their performers. I was very lucky to see Air Supply here in 2021 at a very reasonable cost. Air Supply was beyond what words could describe, it was magical and it was perfect all the way around. By the end of the show people actually walked up to the bottom of the stage and no one said anything, it felt so personal and every had a really great time. And I believe it happened this way because of how relaxed they were with having people fully enjoy the show with the band. Air Supply is an amazing band, they are one of a kind. I love that they gave yonger people the opportunity to play with them and that truly felt Iconic. Parking is right across the street or out in the street, you just have to read the signs. It was a very inexpensive parking, less than $6

The Mezzanine seats are excruciatingly painful if you have knees that stiffen even for a 5 ft 10 person. There is almost no leg room. Had to leave the seat and listen from the walkway. Thankfully the staff let me. Worse seat I have ever had at any event. Will never return.

Park
It's a nice clean big park with lots of different fields and courts for different sports. My boys usually use the basketball courts or the turf for soccer/football with their friends. My only issue is that I've noticed on Sundays that a group of Pakistani or Indian guys come to play cricket on the turf. They don't care that their are kids playing soccer or football on the turf. They just start setting up the cones for boundaries around the kids and start playing. I understand the field is for everyone, but what happens when one of the kids gets hit in the head. The kids aren't paying attention to the cricket balls flying everywhere, they are busy with their own game. The part that I don't understand is that the park has 3 or 4 baseball fields from what I can see. The few times that I've been their, only one field was being used for a baseball game. So why don't these guys use one of the empty baseball fields for their cricket game?
Reno — Google review

I don't typically write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts in hopes of bringing some positive changes to this park. It used to be my favorite place to unwind whenever I was stressed from work or school. Unfortunately, it has recently become uncomfortable to move around or even sit in the park. On several occasions, I've encountered people who seem to be drunk or under the influence, and their behavior makes me feel unsafe.

The park is fine. It's this Zumba meet. I just think that it's very inconsiderate to be outside at 8:45am on a megaphone directly in front of the church during service. Not to mention, it's a residential area. The megaphone is not necessary. It's extremely disrespectful.

Latham park is a very cute little park sitting area This summer they have the Stamford portal there where you can reserve a time to speak to someone from another country or state. There are so many free fitness courses during the weekdays. The movie nights on Mondays was really nice and the Avon theatre nearby also gave out popcorn. Love that Stamford has so many events and courses offered during the summer. This park is really pretty during the spring with all the pretty trees and flowers around. It's a very small and cute place as they have picnic tables and you can get food and a snack and enjoy the breeze during the day.

Always a great time when attending a graduation here. The field is nice and the stadium always seems to have plenty of seating. The only downside is that when it’s super hot the stadium seats get very very hot also. So you’d have to bring a cushion to sit on. When I arrived, Manny greeted me with a smile and was super helpful. He measured the frame and started the job immediately. I can’t say enough about the service and professionalism from the team of “Art of Framing” It was a 10/10 job and I’ll be back any time I need help with this type of job.

I have nothing but great things to say about the work done here. I had a diploma and an award I needed framing. I had no idea what I wanted or what to expect so he walked me through multiple options for the diploma until I was happy with the selection. For the award he said he had something in mind and I let him handle it without going into too many details because I really just had a good feeling I was working with someone who wanted to do his customer right. They had a very quick turnaround and I honestly could not be happier with the results and the service I got. I would highly recommend Art of framing for anyone looking to get anything framed.
