Tabiat Bridge, a 270-meter footbridge connecting Taleghani Park and Abo-Atash Park in Tehran, is a symbol of the city. Designed by Leila Araghian, it features three levels with cafes and seating areas, offering stunning views of the Shahid Modarres highway and the Alborz Mountains. The bridge's unique design includes space for outdoor activities like jogging and cycling on the second level, while multiple ramps and stairs connect all levels.
This bridge offers an amazing view, making it a perfect spot to observe the Sadar freeway below. The design is outstanding, blending functionality with beauty to create a structure that feels both modern and inviting. The designer truly did a fantastic job, providing a memorable experience for anyone who visits.

Tabiat Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges with the best architecture. It is very secluded. Both sides of the bridge are green spaces and full of eatables, restaurants, cafes, and playground equipment. It is truly unique. Walking is a great and enjoyable way to go A recreational place that is beautiful under my feet.

The Tabi'at Bridge (The bridge of nature) is the largest pedestrian overpass in Tehran. The 270-metre bridge connects two public parks — Taleghani Park and Abo-Atash Park — by span-ning Modarres Expressway. Tabiat Bridge was designed by Leila Araghian as part of a local competition for the design of a bridge to connect two parks in north Tehran, which were separated by a highway. In designing the bridge, a process which took a total of 4 years, Araghian wanted it to "be a place for people to stay and ponder, not simply pass". To achieve this the bridge is not straight and contains benches and seating. Construction of the bridge started in 2010, using a total of 2000 tonnes of steel, before it was fin-ished in October 2014. The bridge not only connects two parks, but it is also a popular gathering place for the community in its seating areas and restaurants, acting as a place for people to stay, not just pass. Some have described walking on the bridge as feeling like walking through a forest and a place of posi-tive energy where they can come to reenergize when feeling low. Four million people visited the bridge in the first year it was open.
Lefteris S — Google review
A great place to walk, enjoy good food or drinks, and spend quality time with friends and loved ones—especially in the evening or at night during summer, when it’s a bit cooler
Shafi S — Google review
Its my five star spot . I love standing there and watching the highway . Very nice view . The location itself is very nice but about the facilities and cafes there, if you check them nowadays they are in a very poor condition which is so sad!
Fareen G — Google review
Well-designed bridge 👌👌 This bridge connects 2 parks (Taleghani and Ab va Atash) %100 Worth visiting
Calvin — Google review
Tabiat Bridge is an absolute gem and one of the most amazing spots in Tehran. The architecture is stunning, with its sleek design and innovative structure that beautifully connects two parks, Taleghani and Abo Atash, over a busy highway. Walking across the bridge, you get breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Alborz mountains in the distance, especially during sunset when the whole scene becomes magical. The bridge itself is not just a walkway but a destination. With multiple levels, it offers plenty of space for strolling, sitting, and enjoying the surroundings. There are cafes and seating areas where you can relax and take in the peaceful ambiance. The integration of nature and modern design is seamless, making it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists. Whether you're looking for a relaxing place to unwind, a scenic viewpoint, or a spot for great photos, Tabiat Bridge is a must-visit. It's more than just a bridge—it's a unique experience that showcases the beauty and modernity of Tehran. Highly recommended!

Observation Decks & Towers
Milad Tower, a 435-meter telecommunications tower, has been a prominent feature of Tehran's skyline since its opening in 2007. Offering breathtaking panoramic views and unique experiences, it stands as a symbol of Iran's modernity. The tower boasts an observation deck and a revolving restaurant, providing visitors with the opportunity to see the city from new heights. With its modern design and 12 floors, it is not only the tallest tower in Iran but also ranks as the sixth tallest telecommunications tower globally.
Milad tower is really good tower to visit specially outside scenery is really beautifully bcz of mountain and greenry outside .I have seen and visits some other tallest tower like Burj khalifa . Petronas tower and Shanghai tower but in milad tower u can enjoy Boggie jumping and other good play on very height.must recommend for visitor Tehran.
Asim N — Google review
This should be a really nice place to visit as it has incredible views of Tehran but it’s let down by some issues. Firstly the parking isn’t great and the lifts are far too few for the number of visitors. The lifts inside the tower are also completely inadequate for how many people can visit the place in any one time. Overall the views are let down by the stresses and the headaches you’ll have to go through.
S A — Google review
Milad Tower is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Tehran and for years I had wanted to visit. From the outside it is a striking piece of engineering and an undeniable symbol of the city. Unfortunately, the experience inside was disappointing and fell far short of what such an iconic attraction should offer. Parking and Access Reaching the parking area was frustrating. It took around 30 minutes just to enter and nearly an hour to exit. During that time we were stuck in the car with no proper ventilation, which made the wait extremely unpleasant. Facilities and Cleanliness The number of toilets is inadequate for the large volume of visitors. There was a long queue and the situation was more difficult because some people were using the space to perform vozo (ablution before prayer). Those waiting had to share the area with others preparing for prayer, which caused congestion and discomfort. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were not clean. Tour to the Top The process of reaching the open observation deck was equally disappointing. Out of our four-hour visit, almost two hours and forty-five minutes were spent standing in queues—first to buy tickets, then for the lifts, and again for each section of the tour. The view of Tehran from the top is beautiful and the glass-walled lift provides a good perspective on the way up, but there were no telescopes for visitors wanting a closer look. The number of lifts is not sufficient for the crowds. Either a timed-entry system is needed so visitors know when to arrive, or ticket sales should be limited. For the final levels of the tour, even allowing the option of using stairs would help. At one stage we waited 40 minutes in a queue simply to move up a single level. Other Attractions The Sky Dome section felt unnecessary. There was little of interest and a staff member kept announcing over a loudspeaker for visitors to “have a look and leave”, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere—especially frustrating when I wanted to leave but still had to queue for the lift. The final part of the visit included the Museum of Celebrities and the Museum of Municipality. Although the statues of well-known Iranian figures and displays of medals and honours could have been impressive, the presentation was poor. The space looked dusty and dirty, and the glass display cases were poorly maintained—far below the standard expected of a national landmark. Overall Impression Milad Tower deserves credit for its architectural and engineering achievement, and that is the only reason I have rated it one star instead of one. However, the visitor experience is badly let down by poor organisation, lack of cleanliness, and inadequate facilities. With better management and attention to detail, the tower could truly reflect the pride that such an important symbol of Tehran ought to inspire.

Tallest tower in iran and 6th tallest telecommunication tower in the world, Tehran overviews and museum of Famous Iranian people and poets on top of this tower 👌
Mostafa ( — Google review
Milad Tower defines modern Tehran. Standing tall among the skyline, it gives you a panoramic view of the city that’s simply unforgettable. From the top, you can see the Alborz Mountains hugging the city, especially magical during sunset. The observation deck is well-maintained, and the café at the top is a perfect spot to relax with tea while watching the city lights come alive. There’s also an art gallery and small museums inside the complex. It’s not just a tower—it’s a symbol of how Tehran balances tradition with progress. The elevator ride to the top is smooth and surprisingly fast, adding to the excitement. Whether you go day or night, Milad Tower offers a perspective you can’t find anywhere else.

Milad Tower, with a height of 435 meters, is the tallest tower in Iran and has many facilities such as a revolving restaurant, an observation deck, a museum, and a conference hall. This tower has both telecommunications and recreational uses. This tower is a symbol of Tehran and is located in District 2. It is worth seeing and is also a good place for tourism.
Jafar A — Google review
An spectacular experience and a must visit for anyone! The city view is amazing and there are lots of fun that you could have up there, and with a fair price. Perfect for spending a special day with your loved ones. I spent my birthday here and made one of the most memorable and wonderful days of my life. This tower is unbelievably beautiful! Also there are lots of unique souvenir shops and restaurants to choose from. There is just something about it that makes it special. The best time to visit is when the weather is warm and partly cloudy, without winds. And make sure to go there when you could witness the perfect sunset and also see the city in night-time. It's like you are watching the whole city from an airplane window but you got enough time to watch everything and enjoy.

Golestan Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Tehran, is a magnificent royal palace and museum complex that showcases the opulence of the Qajar era. Originally dating back to the Safavid and Zand eras, it reached its peak during the reign of the Qajar kings. Visitors are captivated by its ornate architecture and treasures such as marble thrones.
Historic and glorious place in the heart of tehran, the Qajar dynasty were live in this palace and ruled for decades, such a majestic art and architecture, surely every one in the world must see this magnificent palace. Iran is safe, Iranians are easy going people and perfect in hosting
Mo E — Google review
Golestan Palace is one of the most beautiful and historic places in Tehran, located right inside the Tehran Grand Bazaar. After exploring the palace, you can easily spend time wandering through the vibrant market nearby. Originally built during the Safavid era and expanded during the Qajar dynasty, the palace shows a unique blend of Persian architectural styles. The intricate turquoise tiles, delicate plasterwork, and dazzling mirror decorations create a stunning atmosphere. The peaceful gardens with flowing fountains add a special charm to the experience. Having visited many European palaces, where warm colors are used indoors and ceilings are often painted, I find it hard to decide whether I prefer the European painted ceilings or the exquisite plasterwork and mirror art of Golestan Palace. Golestan Palace also played an important role in Iran’s history, witnessing events such as the coronation of Naser al-Din Shah and the signing of the country’s first constitution. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013, this palace remains a remarkable symbol of Iranian culture and history. It is definitely a place to visit if you want to feel the richness of Iran’s past and artistry.
Nika — Google review
Golestan Palace, this magnificent monument of the Qajar dynasty, enchants every visitor like an unfinished story. A place where Iranian art has reached its peak in unique architecture, delicate tilework, eye-catching mirrorwork and masterful paintings. More than a historical monument, this palace narrates the splendor and grandeur of the Qajar kings, court customs and lifestyle of that era. Entering Golestan Palace, it is as if you are traveling in a time tunnel and witnessing important historical events, fateful decisions and unique manifestations of Iranian art.
Setareh S — Google review
You can reach Golestan Palace by the Imam Khomeini metro lines. It is very difficult to reach by car and there is a traffic pattern. If you have a motorbike, you can go by motorbike. There are several exits to Imam Khomeini Station, and the closest one is the one in the center of Tehran's Grand Bazaar. At the beginning of the entrance to the palace, you must choose from a machine and draw a card. The cost of visiting each part of Golestan Palace is 15,000 tomans in 2025. You will be given a receipt and a receipt that they will stamp for you at the beginning of entering each hall. There are people in the palace who only guide you and answer your questions about the history of Golestan Palace during the reign of Nasser al-Din Shah. It consists of several sections and has different and attractive sections, it has a clean health service, a prayer room, a cafe and a restaurant inside the Golestan Palace, and the main tomb of Nasser al-Din Shah. One of the large ponds is without water, and the fountains of the ponds are not working and their water has rocketed. The behavior of the palace's services and staff is good, and the information on the signboards is not accurate and easy to read. I think you should do a thorough study of the history beforehand. The entrance and exit of Golestan Palace is through a gate. People who enter the palace with specialized cameras for photography and filming are not allowed to film or take pictures without official permission, but you can take photos and videos with your mobile phone camera. Chinese tourists are mostly seen here, some tour groups explain to them in English and tell the history and stories of the past. There are other people who explain things to Iranian speakers in Persian with precise analysis and excellent knowledge, and people can use these services for free.
Maryam H — Google review
Golestan Palace is truly the crown jewel of Tehran’s history. The moment you step inside, the mix of Persian and European architecture takes your breath away. The mirror work in the main hall, the intricate tile patterns, and the royal gardens feel like a time capsule from the Qajar era. It’s hard to believe such elegance exists right in the heart of a bustling city. The museum inside gives deep insight into Iran’s royal history—photographs, gifts from foreign dignitaries, and royal thrones are beautifully preserved. The calmness of the garden contrasts with the chaos outside, making it a perfect retreat for anyone who loves art and culture. I’d suggest visiting early in the morning when the light hits the tiles just right for photographs. Overall, Golestan Palace is not just a place—it’s an emotion, a reminder of Iran’s rich artistic soul and refined taste.
Yawer K — Google review
The most Beautiful spot in the city. Entry fee is expensive with 15.5Million IRR (EUR25) for foreigners but worth every Riyal spent. If you are in Tehran, a must visit spot. It is not just a single museum or palace, but a collection of many, including the most beautiful halls in the world, decorated with glass and other precious metals. Be prepared to spend 2-3hrs easily in royal premises looking back in time at the ways the highly priviledged led their lives back then

Additionally, they can savor Persian heritage at Tehran Bazaar and enjoy panoramic vistas from Baam-e Tehran.
Azadi Square, formerly known as Shahyad Square, is a must see attraction in the mainly green city square in Tehran, Iran. It hosts as its centerpiece the Azadi Tower. The tower and square were commissioned to mark the 2,500-year celebration of the Persian empire

Azadi Tower, its design is a combination of traditional Iranian and modern architecture (by Hossein Amanat) - It was built in 1960 and was considered the gateway to Tehran from Mehrabad Airport It has a museum, gallery, exhibition hall and cultural spaces Due to its central and symbolic location, it is the venue for many ceremonies and gatherings The Azadi Tower is not only a beautiful structure, but also a symbol of identity for Tehran. Of course, it is now a little less popular with tourists and people, but with renovation and cultural planning, it can become more colorful again.

Azadi Tower, formerly known as Shahyad Tower before the 1979 Revolution, is a 43-meter-tall monument located in Azadi Square, Tehran, Iran. It is considered the main symbol of Tehran. The tower was designed in 1970 (1349 SH) by Iranian architect Hossein Amanat and constructed under the supervision of Mohammad Pourfathi. It was built as a symbol of modern Iran and as a commemoration of the 2,500-year anniversary of the Persian Empire. Strategically placed at the center of one of western Tehran’s major squares—formerly called Shahyad Square, now Azadi Square—it represents national heritage blended with contemporary vision. The architectural style of the tower is a fusion of Achaemenid, Sassanid, and Islamic architecture, making it a unique representation of Iran’s historical and cultural evolution.
Aref Z — Google review
Azadi Tower is one of those landmarks that defines Tehran’s identity. Its futuristic design blended with Persian elements makes it architecturally stunning. Standing beneath it, you feel both small and inspired. The white marble glows under sunlight, and the surrounding square gives a sense of openness rarely found in big cities. There’s a museum beneath the tower that explains its history and construction. At night, the lighting makes it even more mesmerizing. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone arriving in Tehran, symbolizing freedom, pride, and unity. I recommend going during sunset for the best photos.

It is one of the landmarks of Tehran, marking the west entrance to the city, and is part of the Azadi Cultural Complex, which also includes an underground museum. The tower is about 45 metres (148 ft) tall and is completely clad in cut marble. It was commissioned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, to mark the 2,500-year celebration of the Persian Empire and completed in 1971. It also serves as the country's kilometre zero. After winning a competition, architect Hossein Amanat was tasked to design the tower. The Treasury of National Jewels, located in the heart of Tehran, is a museum that houses an impressive collection of opulent and ornate jewelry and regalia once worn by Persian royal dynasties. The highlights of the collection include the Sea of Light Diamond, the world's largest pink diamonds, the Crown of Kiani, Nadir's Throne, and many more exquisite pieces. This cultural gem offers visitors a glimpse into Iran's rich history through its stunning jewels and treasures.
Amazing sight to see if you're doing a tour of Tehran. One of the most extraordinary collections of Jewels in the world with significant historical value. Parking is basically non existent. The whole facility is top security controlled and multiple check points and you need to turn in your personal belongings including your phone and watches so don't take anything unnecessary. Who knows what the regime intends to do with the breathtaking, unique treasures and valuable part of Persian culture. Definitely not in the interests of the people.

The registered phone number is not answered; it is constantly busy. Although it is stated that the museum is wheelchair accessible, this is not the case. We visited in the heat, struggled to find any signs of the museum, and eventually discovered that it is located in the basement, making it inaccessible with a wheelchair. by the way, the museum is located in the Central Bank building. دسترسی با ویلچر وجود ندارد.

I arrived at 1245 hrs for the opening at 1300 hrs and there were already around 30 people waiting at the entrance. I went on Saturday so maybe that is why but be ready to be in the queue! No bags and phones are allowed as cited by many ( you can leave inside the bank before going to the safe: they will give you a key so I suppose it is very safe), and two security checks (after you pay for the ticket and after you enter secure room) after, you will be grouped and usher by the guide. At any time, you are not left alone. Excellent English speaking guide was taking us around but certainly there are many people in confined place so be prepared to be a bit warm inside. You cannot touch display windows or you would be told off! But that’s understandable as there are so many of jewels! It’s only one floor which is divided three sections but basically one big room ( bank safe). No doubt amazing and beautiful jewels and so many of them. To be honest, after seeing first three displays (a Globe with diamond ruby and emerald), I just had a funny feeling of not being amazed anymore by the amount of diamonds and emerald in each jewelry. Basically there are too many precious stones in the safe of the Central Bank, after few minutes I stared not to appreciate all amazing jewels. Scale, volume and numbers of gemstones in each display was is like thousands in each pieces, far more than my brain can take. Still amazing really : for my simple life, it was just too many. Anyways it is an experience and if you have a time, it is a nice reminder of the wealth as well as skilled art of jewelry Iran possess. I kept thinking being a king is not easy if you have to wear all those beautiful but precious jewelry in every occasions!

If you're into jewels and history, this place is incredible. You have to visit! But before you go, watch your STYLE! I wore ripped jeans, and one of the women working there gave me a couple of pins to close the open parts! The atmosphere is very strict due to the valuable jewels, and unfortunately, they can be quite rude to women. Entrance time 13:00,15:00 Sat,Mon,Tue

Tehran Grand Bazaar is a bustling hub of economic activity, drawing in people from all walks of life. It's a vital center for trade, housing numerous wholesalers, retailers, warehouses, and workshops. Many manufacturing factories have set up shop here to directly engage with major retailers and wholesalers, making it a key distribution point for both domestic and foreign goods. The bazaar is not only an economic powerhouse but also a cultural gem within Tehran.
If you like to scroll around and see lots and lots of things this the place... Can bee very busy depending of the day. All kind of things to see eat and enjoy. El gran bazar de Teheran perfecto para pasar una tarde o mas contemplando todos sus comercios callejones y artesanía

A large and excellent market for a lot of shopping that has a lot of variety and you can do your favorite shopping. A large and comfortable, cool space with space to sit and a space to eat delicious food. Each floor is divided into its own specific and related categories.
Razie Z — Google review
Tehran's Grand Bazaar is very crowded, there are various shops in different sections, specific to a product. For example, to buy gold, you only have to go to the Goldsmiths' Bazaar, and the same goes for other goods. The situation of the metro in the bazaar is very crowded, but the metro is clean. There is a minibus taxi in the center of the bazaar that is used to transport people to and from the market. You can take a ride and go to different parts of the bazaar. The main streets of Tehran's bazaar are not very clean. The surface of the streets is cobblestone, not asphalt. The old and memorable alleys are old Tehran. There are many restaurants and fruit juice shops. Muslim food and Sheikh-ul-Islami are two famous dishes in the Grand Bazaar.

The Grand Bazaar in Tehran is a dynamic monument to Iran's rich history, culture, and economy. One of the world's largest bazaars, it is a maze of meandering passageways, busy shops, and historic architecture that have attracted travelers for centuries. The bazaar was founded during the Safavid era and expanded significantly under the Qajar dynasty. Its evolution mirrored Tehran's own rise, from a modest provincial town to the busy city it is today. The bazaar's elaborate design, with vaulted ceilings, ornate tilework, and fine craftsmanship, exemplifies Iran's rich architectural legacy. A walk through the bazaar is a voyage through time. The perfume of exotic spices, the sparkle of handmade copperware, and the chatter of merchants all contribute to an intense and captivating sensory experience. From gorgeous Persian carpets to complex jewelry, the bazaar has a wide range of products to suit every taste and budget. Historical significance: The market is a living museum that celebrates Iran's rich cultural history. Architectural marvels: Admire the elaborate architecture, which includes vaulted ceilings and beautiful tilework. Offerings are diverse, ranging from ancient Persian carpets to modern handcrafted items. Culinary delights: The bazaar's many tea shops and eateries serve a range of Persian cuisine.

Tehran Grand Bazaar located in Central Tehran, Iran. Split into several corridors that are over 10 kilometres in length, each specializing in different types of goods, the bazaar has several entrances, with Sabze Meydan being the main entrance. In addition to shops, it contains mosques, guest houses, and banks

A very nostalgic and traditional Bazar. A great sense of tradition can be smelled in all narrow alleys and corridors. I personally visit there once a year more for its atmosphere rather than shopping
Yasser K — Google review
If you want to feel the heartbeat of Tehran, go straight to the Grand Bazaar. It’s noisy, crowded, and full of life—exactly how a traditional market should be. The smell of spices, the glitter of Persian carpets, and the hum of people bargaining make it a sensory overload in the best way. I spent hours just wandering through the alleys, each section specializing in something—gold, textiles, copperware, and handicrafts. The merchants are friendly and love sharing stories about their products. Don’t forget to stop for some traditional tea or kebab in the old teahouses inside. The Bazaar isn’t just a place to shop; it’s a living museum of Persian culture and commerce that has thrived for centuries.

So vibrant and so many people ! Situated south of Golastine Palace, Tehran Grand Bazaar is indeed grand. I went there once upon a time on Friday when the market was closed (last two photos). It was a ghost town. Following week, I visited there on Saturday and what a transformation! So many people but as the market is massive, I only managed to see one third of market for three hours of my stay. Was in old part of the market with glass, fabric, shoes and carpet section. I needed to buy mocha maker as mine is getting old. Ot normally costs around 25 usd (made in Italy) but got it around 5 usd… from different part of the world! Let’s see…. Anyways as a tourist, it’s nice to see the market full of excitement. Some section is cooler than others as shop’s ac reaches out. But as I visited late morning in the summer months, it was hot. It was also bit difficult to find made in Iran products at least where I was…. Including my mocha pot!

Scenic spot
Bam-e Tehran, often referred to as the "roof of Tehran," is a stunning destination that offers an array of recreational activities and breathtaking views. Nestled in the Velenjak neighborhood at the base of the Alborz mountain range, this spot features everything from multidimensional cinemas and bungee jumping to climbing walls and sledding. While some attractions like cable cars may not operate at night, the panoramic vistas of Tehran's twinkling lights are simply mesmerizing.
A very nice place to walking up the hills and enjoy your weekends with friends or family. The parking lot has enough space. There are several shops at the entrance as well as WC. You can take a bus to go to the view point of Bame Tehran which will take 2 mins. You can also walk all the way up and it will be around 30 mins, depending on your speed. Here you can find a small wonderland for kids, restaurants, telecabin, coaster (sled), 5D cinema and a few more things to do.

Tehran's Rooftop, also known as Tochal Summit, is one of Tehran's most popular and distinctive recreational spots. Its lofty height allows for stunning panoramic vistas of the expanding metropolis beneath it. This urban sanctuary, located at the end of Velanjak Street and tucked in the foothills of the Tochal Mountains, offers a pleasant reprieve from the city's hustle and bustle. Panoramic Views: The rooftop provides breathtaking 360-degree views of Tehran, allowing visitors to enjoy the city's great breadth and surrounding mountains. Fresh Air: The greater altitude provides cleaner and cooler air than the city center, giving a welcome respite from the metropolitan heat and pollution. Hiking paths: Several hiking paths weave through the region, allowing outdoor enthusiasts to stretch their legs while enjoying nature. Recreational Facilities: The rooftop offers a range of services, including restaurants, cafés, stores, and thrilling recreational activities like bungee jumping, zip-lining, and tobogganing. About 500 meters above Tehran which itself is 1200m above the sea level, this mountain resort is the most accessible refuge to escape the pervasive smog that usually devours the city all year round. The higher you go, the clearer the air and more scenic the views will be.

The tourist complex, located west of Tehran and surrounded by towers, evokes a sense of being in one of the coastal cities when tourists are there because a cool breeze blows from the lake. The Carpet Museum of Iran, situated in Tehran near Laleh Park, is a treasure trove showcasing the country's rich tradition of carpet weaving. The museum boasts an extensive collection of Persian carpets dating back to the 16th century, including handmade nomadic, rural woven, and city style carpets from various weaving centers across Iran. Visitors can immerse themselves in the artistry and cultural significance of these exquisite rugs that represent the diverse ethnic groups of Iran.
It has a fine source with more than 2000 carpets from all around the Persia region. Carpets are changed periodically, so every month or every season you can see different carpets from the previous months
Neda J — Google review
I’m in love with the beautiful architecture of the Carpet Museum, and I could kiss Kamran Diba’s hands for designing it! The exterior space, with its repetitive columns, felt like the warp and weft of a carpet. As someone without much background in carpets, seeing the differences in motifs and colors from various regions of Iran was incredibly fascinating to me. The entrance area of the museum felt a bit confusing—I didn’t know where to go. It seemed that after the revolution, during the Pahlavi era, the museum officials had arranged the carpets and graphic signs in a poorly thought-out way, which made it difficult to understand the navigation. That said, the museum guides were very active and helpful, always ready to provide thorough explanations if asked. It was also the first museum I’ve ever seen with huge billboard advertisements from a jewelry brand, which struck me as odd for a government-run museum. The carpets were categorized based on different regions of Iran and were mostly from the Qajar and Pahlavi periods. Around 2,500 carpets are preserved in this museum, and the oldest one dates back about 500 years!
Akef R — Google review
It’s a big and beautiful museum with magnificent carpets. The entrance fee is very cheap, and they also have guides who give you explanations about each carpet.
Mina M — Google review
Great collection of carpets from different regions of Iran. They are woven mostly in Qajar Era, but you can find many carpets from Safavid, Pahlavi, and other times as well. We could find one or two tour leaders who had great information. We visited this place on Nowruz, and it was not that crowded, which was a pity. Taking the fact that it was the Picasso exhibition in the museum of Contemporary Art of Tehran near the Carpet Meuseum, I expected the museum would be more crowded. Maybe some advertisements or incentives are needed to bring people and tourists to see these fine collections of Iranian and persian art, which shows their high culture. What was also surprising is the second floor, exhibiting some great paintings for two contemporary artists who had different styles. Although I couldn't understand why they were keeping in the Carpet Museum, I liked them a lot. We could find a couple of photos taken by great director Abbas Kiarostami as well. All together we had a great time in this place, highly recommended and don't forget to buy some souvenirs from the gift shop.
Amirali S — Google review
Hidden at the threshold of Tehran’s bustling urban fabric, the Carpet Museum of Iran stands as a silent guardian of centuries-old artistry. The moment one approaches its unique modernist façade — designed with motifs reminiscent of a grand carpet loom — it becomes apparent that this edifice is not merely a museum but a poetic homage to the craft it shelters. Within its tranquil halls, the visitor is transported to a world where threads become tales and patterns evolve into entire civilizations. Each carpet on display is not just a woven object, but a historical manuscript — whispering stories of royal courts, remote villages, forgotten nomadic tribes, and the skilled hands that spent months, sometimes years, to conjure a masterpiece. The permanent exhibition on the ground floor displays an exquisite array of Persian carpets from various regions: the floral elegance of Isfahan, the bold tribal geometry of Qashqai, the intricate symmetry of Tabriz, and the deep, regal tones of Kerman. One cannot help but marvel at the precision of each knot, the harmonious balance of colours, and the hidden symbolism woven into every motif. The upper floor frequently hosts temporary exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events, offering a dynamic experience for returning visitors. What truly elevates this museum beyond mere aesthetic pleasure is the almost sacred silence that envelops you inside — a silence that allows you to contemplate the profound legacy of Persian weaving, uninterrupted by the chaos of the modern world outside. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions with genuine enthusiasm. The museum is not excessively large, making it ideal for a contemplative one- to two-hour visit. A small but charming library and souvenir shop near the exit offer books and prints for those who wish to carry a piece of this cultural splendour home. Whether you are an art historian, a cultural traveller, or simply someone in search of beauty, the Carpet Museum of Iran is a destination that quietly lingers in the mind long after one leaves, like the fading echo of a beautiful poem. Highly recommended for those who wish to witness the soul of Persian culture woven, knot by knot, into eternal works of art.

The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is a modernist underground museum housing an important collection of modern and contemporary artwork. It offers a unique opportunity to explore avant-garde Persian and Western artists' perspectives on life. This museum stands as a testament to the late queen's efforts to promote Persian cultural aspects, showcasing numerous masterpieces, including a statue of the Queen herself.
This museum stands at the top of the list of the museums to visit while you are in Tehran. Built in 1977 by royal decree to house the collection of contemporary arts in Iran, the museum is a beautiful architectural masterpiece. The exhibitions change from time to time, and, unfortunately, there are no permanent galleries other than the artworks in the open area. When I visited in April 2025, a collection of works by Picasso was on display, and a very thorough work had been done to portray his artwork and the incidents of his life. It is said that this museum has an incredible collection in its warehouse which, unfortunately, has been out of the sight of the public for a very long time.

One of the greatest hidden treasures of modern art in Asia and the Middle East. The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art holds one of the most extraordinary and valuable collections of modern and contemporary art in Asia and the Middle East — on a level that rivals top institutions in Russia and Japan. Surprisingly, many people outside the region have no idea that such a collection exists beyond Europe and North America. But it does — and it’s magnificent. The museum owns original masterpieces by some of the most iconic names in art history, including: Vincent van Gogh Salvador Dalí Pablo Picasso Jackson Pollock Andy Warhol Francis Bacon Mark Rothko Marcel Duchamp Alberto Giacometti René Magritte Willem de Kooning Roy Lichtenstein Max Ernst Paul Gauguin Edvard Munch As well as Iranians like Mohammad Ghaffari, Parviz Tanavoli, Gregorian and more. The museum itself — designed by Kamran Diba — is an architectural gem, blending modernist elements with Persian aesthetics. It’s not just a museum, it’s a cultural revelation, and an absolute must-visit when the permanent collection is on display. This is truly one of Iran’s greatest artistic assets, and a point of pride for the entire region.

Beyond its breathtaking collection, TMoCA’s architecture is a masterpiece in itself—designed by Kamran Diba, it blends Persian heritage with modernist elements. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just curious about Iran’s cultural scene, this museum offers a truly inspiring experience. The Ebrat Museum, also known as the Edification Museum, is a haunting yet significant destination located in Tehran. This former prison was originally established by Reza Shah and later transformed into a women's penitentiary and torture chamber under Mohammad Reza Shah's regime. The museum serves as a stark reminder of the atrocities committed by SAVAK, the secret police during the 1970s.
Former secret prison, some memorabilia and scenes with dummies, good with a guide, probably still valuable on your own. Might shock the more sensitive. I found it well done and learned quite a lot, great insights.

I don’t recommend visiting the Ebrat Museum to everyone. If you want to see it, visits are only possible in groups because a guide explains the whole place. It’s better to be with others because the atmosphere is really heavy and unsettling. The walls are covered with photos of people who were imprisoned here. The small cells make you feel like the doors could shut any second and you’d be trapped inside. Definitely an intense and emotional experience.

Ferdows Garden, also known as Bagh-e Ferdows, is a historical site located in the Tajrish area of Tehran. It is home to the Mohammadieh Palace, a royal mansion dating back to the Qajar era. The garden has a rich history, with its construction believed to have taken place during the time of Mohammad Shah Qajar. Over the years, it fell into disrepair before being repurposed for art and cultural events in the 1960s.
Bagh-e Ferdows is one of the classic examples of a traditional Persian garden, featuring the signature elements of Persian architecture. a central water stream, trees aligned symmetrically on both sides, and a historical mansion at the end. The mansion inside the garden, now home to the Cinema Museum of Iran, is also known as Mohamadiyeh Palace or simply Bagh-e Ferdows Mansion. Its construction began during the reign of Mohammad Shah Qajar and was completed in its current form during the era of Mozaffar al-Din Shah. It is one of the beautiful historical sites in northern Tehran, conveniently located near Tajrish metro and taxi station, making it easily accessible for visitors.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the most memorable evening with my family at Ferdows Garden (Bagh-e Ferdows), a stunning historical site in the north of Iran, dating back to the Qajar Dynasty. The atmosphere was simply magical and something I'll never forget. The beauty of the house, now used as a cinema museum, added to the charm, making it an interesting spot for history lovers. What made the experience even more special was the vibrant surroundings. The garden was alive with people enjoying themselves, and we were serenaded by musicians playing traditional instruments. The lively environment made our visit truly unforgettable. We enjoyed a relaxing cup of tea while soaking in the culture and energy of the place. If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting Ferdows Garden – it’s perfect for a family outing or a peaceful solo visit! The mix of history, culture, and natural beauty is unmatched.

Ferdows Garden in Tehran is a historic Persian garden featuring lush greenery, fountains, and pathways. Dating back to the Qajar era, it houses the Cinema Museum of Iran within its grand mansion. A popular spot for relaxation and culture, it blends natural beauty with architectural charm.
Montaser — Google review
Located in northern Tehran, this massive garden used to be the residence of one of the Iranian dignitaries in the past century. There is a mansion at the venter of the garden which is now the museum of cinema of Iran. There are a few souvenir stores and a bookshop. Overall, spending some time here is worth it and the place is ideal for some great photography.
Reza N — Google review
Beautiful space, with unique cafes and shops in a nice neighborhood. It can be crowded during weekends and hard to find parking space. There are plenty of nice restaurants around it, so you can plan your trip for half a day when you can visit the garden and have a meal. The cinema is a descent one as well. I highly recommend visiting Ferdows Garden to the tourists and those who are visiting Tehran for a few days. Especially during spring and summer, you can enjoy your evening there with a wonderful weather.

Niavaran Palace Historical Cultural Complex is a grand estate nestled in picturesque surroundings, boasting magnificent residences, manicured gardens, and an impressive art collection. It is part of the top attractions in Tehran, along with other notable sites like Golestan Palace and the National Museum of Iran. The complex stands out for its opulent decor reflecting the influence of Western neoclassical art favored by the Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties.
The **Niavaran Palace Complex** in northern Tehran is a historical site from the Qajar and Pahlavi eras. It includes several notable buildings: 1. **Main Niavaran Palace**: Built in 1968, it was the royal residence of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. It features a blend of traditional Iranian architecture and modern technology, with exquisite interior decorations. 2. **Sahebqaraniyeh Palace**: The oldest building in the complex, originally a summer resort for Naser al-Din Shah of the Qajar dynasty, later modified by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. It showcases Persian architectural elements and houses numerous paintings. 3. **Ahmad Shahi Pavilion**: Initially an exhibition center for gifts from world leaders to the Iranian monarchs. 4. **Private Library**: Opened to the public in 1994, it contains books and artworks reflecting modern Iranian art from the 1950s and 1960s. The complex is set within beautifully landscaped gardens, offering a serene environment that complements the grandeur of the palaces.

It's one of the most beautiful, historic places, if you're into history. You can check out any part of the palace; the library, the rooms, even the private movie theater and the royal garage.

Sure! Here's a shorter version: Niavaran Palace Review Niavaran Palace in northern Tehran is a beautiful blend of modern and traditional Persian architecture. It was the last Shah’s residence and offers a glimpse into royal life before the 1979 revolution. The palace features elegant rooms, a lovely library, and peaceful gardens. It’s a great spot for history lovers and anyone interested in Iran’s modern past. Let me know if you'd like it even shorter or with a different tone!
Kiyo Q — Google review
The gardens are peaceful, and everything is well-maintained. Some areas were under renovation during my visit, but overall it's a must-see if you're curious about Iran’s modern royal past.
Nika — Google review
The Niavaran Palace Complex blends royal elegance with peaceful gardens. Walking up the stone path to the main building, you notice the tall white columns and intricate brickwork that give the place its grand yet familiar character. Inside, each hall feels frozen in time — from the ornate chandeliers to the patterned carpets. The surrounding lawns are well-kept and perfect for a slow stroll, but in summer they can get crowded with tour groups. Mornings are quieter and better for photos.
Saeed G — Google review
The courtyard isn’t very large, but inside the palace complex you can see various antiques, clothing, and gifts from other countries, which give you a good sense of the lifestyle of the Pahlavi royal family. Niavaran Palace is located in a pleasant and cool area in the north of Tehran, making the visit even more enjoyable.
Aref Z — Google review
Nice visit for a 3 4 hour long walking and enjoying the nature inside it has some modern architecture and design inspections, it is filled with artifacts and amazing stuff. It usually has a better air quality than other places in Tehran and there's a great park nearby.

Wonderful exhibit in a wonderfully restored building. I admit I was attracted to the Museum solely because of the beautiful building that houses it. But to my great surprise the exhibits were very high quality and professionally displayed. A must visit for anyone who is in Tehran. The museum is located in the traffic control region so use public transport. Lots of great restaurants and coffee shops around to visit afterwards.

This is a popular park and quite different from other parks in Tehran. It's big and it's easy to get there. There are plenty of parking spaces in the streets that face the park and the bus stop is near the main entrance. The inside of the park is similar to a botanical garden. There is a small zoo and a lake. There are separate areas for badminton, ping pong and volleyball. There are also walkways for those who prefer to walk. There are plenty of statues outside the park along the street, and inside the park. It is really a place worth to visit if you are in Tehran.

I should say I have piles of photos from the park which have been accumulated from many visits during different seasons of the years! Should I visit there?! This is the most popular Park inTehran! If you are a tourist or just not from Tehran, I recommend you to visit the park if you have enough time! There is nothing very especial there but it has a pleasant atmosphere which copes with different people! The Synthetic Lake: The lake is located in the northern and central portion of the park, there is a restaurant and a fastfood close to the lake atmosphere as well as a pedestrain bridge above the lake Mellat Cinema Complex: There is a facility in western corner of the Park called "Mellat Cineple" or "Mellat Cinema Complex" which is one of the best equiped Cinema Complex in Iran. There are however, very few cinema complex with nice vocal equipment in Tehran. Photography: It is a nice place to take photos; you may find photographers taking shots there, a very familiar scene! Sidewalk: There is a nice sidewalk align with Valiasr Street which equiped with artworks. There are some unique artworks for especial moments of the year in the sidewalk for example artworks of Nowruz at Mellat Park sidewalk (outer canvas) Access: Please consider there isn't enough parking space around the park, so manage your trip there beforehand. The park has a good access from Vanak Square by bus. So you may use BRT buses from vanak sq. up to the park gate. That would be several station (bus stop) above vanak square. When you have finished at the park you may travel up to the Parkvey junction and then continue to reach Tajrish sq. Or you may go down the park to reach vanak square where you can find taxi or bus to every spot of Tehran.

One of the best park in tehran with different kind of facilities. Its cool place all the year but these pic from autumn shows how amazing is the park in fall. Parking is little bit issue in the area. There is small public parking in the south but thats so small for such a huge park.
Arash D — Google review
Bostan mellat is one of the oldest and largest parks in Tehran, with all kinds of facilities, including sports and entertainment. If you want to walk in a cozy and relaxed place, if you are looking for a good place to exercise, if you want a decent place to record beautiful and artistic pictures, or even if you want to go with a family to a day out picnic, go to this park. The entrance to the Tehran Mellat Park is a new form of time, depending on the weather and calendar. If you come to the park at the end of Nowruz, you will probably see the magnificent sculptures on the eve of the EYD and the Haftesin journey. the artificial lake, runs its quietest days in winter. At the corners of the lake, you will see small boats that are finally docked and have a beautiful view. This part of the garden, besides being awakened by calmness, has a good view of photography.

The Reza Abbasi Museum, located in Shariati Street of Tehran, is a treasure trove of traditional Iranian art dating from 2000 BCE to the early 1900s CE. Named after the renowned Safavid-era painter Reza Abbasi, this three-story museum showcases over 50,000 artifacts representing various periods of Iran's history.
One of the most magnificent places to visit in Tehran. Since 1977, the museum bought by Farah Pahlavi, the queen of Iran. The purpose was to save the artifacts and gifts from different countries. In the museum we may see the artifacts for more than 2000 years. Islamic period and two exhibition for miniature and calligraphy. Very recommend to visit.
Nikan N — Google review
The Reza Abbasi Museum is a compact and charming museum located in the heart of Tehran. Its collection is quite diverse, ranging from ancient pottery and Islamic metalwork to miniature paintings and calligraphy. The museum's atmosphere is very calm and suitable for a cultural outing. It can get a bit crowded at times, making it difficult to view some of the exhibits. However, if you're looking for a cultural and artistic experience, a visit to the Reza Abbasi Museum is highly recommended.
Benyamin A — Google review
It is an underwhelming museum in downtown Tehran. Reza Abbasi was a prominent painter, after whom this museum is named, but there is literally nothing of his works here. The museum is on three floors. You start from the third floor where pre-Islam artefacts are kept; the first two floors are calligraphy of the Islamic period. The museum has very poor air conditioning, which covers only the corridors and not the galleries. During hot months, it is quite uncomfortable to walk around.
Reza N — Google review
Today I visited the Reza Abbasi Museum in Tehran, and the experience was a bittersweet joy ❤️‍🩹. After twelve days of conflict between Iran and Israel, it is heartening that the museum has at long last reopened, albeit not fully. The second floor remains inaccessible and many of the displayed items lack informational tags, which made it hard for visitors like myself to discern their age or provenance. The museum itself carries a weighty history: it was officially inaugurated in 1977 under the patronage of Queen Farah Pahlavi (Shahbanu Farah Diba). Since then, it has faced multiple closures and reopenings — first shortly after the 1978–79 upheavals, then again in the 1980s, before reopening after renovation in 2000. Walking through the accessible galleries today, one cannot help but feel the weight of resilience — both of the museum and of the cultural heritage it protects. Yet the gaps in presentation (missing labels, silent artifacts) underscore how fragile that heritage is, particularly in times of unrest. I hope in the coming days the staff will restore full functionality, re-tag the pieces, and allow every floor to speak to us again, so that visitors may fully engage with the tapestry of Iranian art and history that Reza Abbasi Museum holds.
Hakh82 — Google review
Hidden in an anonymous building this museum will surprise you with fine pieces. Start from third floor and gradually descend to the first to have a panoramic of Iranian history. Unfortunately most of descriptions are in Farsi and there isn't a book to guide you through the halls. Anyway it is a play worthy to be visited!!!

I love going to cinema but have not done so yet in Iran. For instance, I did not know 18August 1900 was the arrival of the cinema in Iran. Also this museum explain why it is situated in flower garden. I loved few features of this museum including selection of Iranian film of which you can select and see trailer and read about the movie. I also like interactive screen which also take your photos if you command. Posted both features in the photos. I spend about 30 minutes but I suppose if I were fluent in Farsi, I would have spend much longer to check out film guides !

Negarestan Garden Museum, affiliated with the University of Tehran, is one of the historic landmarks of Tehran. It was built in 1807 by the order of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar as a summer residence. Constructed in the Kolah Farangi architectural style, the complex includes two grand pavilions known as Delgosha and Ghalamdan Hall. The main building features rooms with wooden doors and two large halls on either side of the central structure. The garden consists of 64 rooms, four halls, and a library with four reading rooms, covering an area of 600 square meters. The halls are adorned with mirrorwork, golden motifs, and valuable chandeliers, reflecting the elegance of Qajar-era craftsmanship.

Negarestan Museum Garden — an oasis of art and history in the city’s heart. Built in the early 1800s by Fath-Ali Shah Qajar, it earned its name as the ‘place of paintings.’ Wandering among mirror halls, tumbling fountains, and centuries-old artistry—including works by Kamal-ol Molk and his students—felt like stepping into Tehran’s soul. Entrance was 500,000 IRR, with just a couple of stairs at the gate… but oh, what a stairway into serenity. Tip: hop off at Baharestan metro, explore nearby museums, then unwind with a cup at Café Tehroon inside the garden

The Museum of the Holy Defense in Iran offers a poignant look at the country's contemporary history, particularly the Iran-Iraq war known as the Holy Defense. The museum features a shrine to martyrs, exhibits of weapons, and a shooting simulator. It aims to provide a deeper understanding of the war among younger generations and document the realities of that period in Iran.
Located between Friday market and Tabata Bridge (and park), I have passes by this museum so many times but “war” museum was not my thing… I thought. One day, it started to rain a lot just outside the museum, I have decided to pop by. I am glad I did so as I spend well over one hour there. 100k t for non Iranian as entrance fee, I actually spend over one hour in this museum. There are number of halls which explain Iran Iraq war. What striking in this museum is a number of simulations throughout the museum with light and sounds effects - quite well set up. It tells us a story of victims and survivors- most vulnerable people always suffered most. There are some English translations in exhibitions but I felt I had felt more in my heart than just reading explanations. Reminded me how recent these wars have been. And what impact it may have on people. I would say worth a visit even if you are normally not a person to go to those theme museum.

The Holy Defense Museum in Tehran is a moving and evocative place. When you enter, it's like stepping into another world, one that recalls the bravery and selflessness of the warriors during the Imposed War. The museum's design is excellent, using modern technologies to depict the events of the war. Each of the museum's halls tells a part of the war story, immersing you in the atmosphere. Seeing the war equipment, photos and documentaries is truly shocking. In my opinion, visiting this museum is a national duty for every Iranian to keep the memory of the martyrs and warriors alive.

I recently visited the Holy Defense Museum about the Iran–Iraq war, and it was an unforgettable experience. The people who guided us were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, making the tour even more meaningful. What really struck me was the way history came alive there. It wasn’t just stories it was real, proper history of the war, presented in a powerful and moving way. Even my 8 years old son, born more than 40 years after the events, left with tears in his eyes after seeing those tragic scenes. It was deeply emotional, heartbreaking at times, but also a profound reminder of resilience and sacrifice. The quality of the exhibitions was excellent, and I truly believe this is a place every generation should visit. My only regret is that the museum is only open from 8 AM to 1 PM. A place like this deserves longer hours ideally, it should be open throughout the day, so more families and especially children can come, learn, and connect with their history.

A nice place for half a day walk around, specially if you like to see some Russian armor from the cold war era . if you walk 10 minutes there are coffee shops and restaurants available and the largest book store in Tehran with lots of varieties .

One of the most "unique" museum in Tehran. Introduced history of Iran-Iraq war from the viewpoint of Iran. Amazingly sofisticated, somewhat infographic exbision you will see inside, while outside there are a lot of actual fighters, tanks, weapons used in the war (it's free to visit the garden only). If you are interested in war history and or military issues, this is absolutely "where you should go" spot. You can use subway from Central City, it is walking distance from station to the museum. I recommend.

Tehran National Botanical Garden. It is one of the best places in Tehran where you can visit and spend weekends and even weekdays, in all months of the year and all seasons, enjoy it, and if you love nature and plants and vegetation and their diversity; it will be heaven for you there. With an area of about 150 hectares.Every season of the year, the whole world and its rare plants, with their unique landscape design, give this national park a delightful and dreamy appearance. And I would rather say, a jewel in the heart of the Iranian capital for nature lovers.

The National Botanical Garden of Iran is a breathtaking oasis of natural beauty, where vibrant colors, diverse landscapes, and serene atmospheres come together in perfect harmony. Strolling through its vast expanses, visitors encounter lush Hyrcanian forests with towering trees, delicate alpine flowers from mountainous regions, and the exotic allure of desert plants thriving in arid displays. The garden's meticulously designed pathways lead to tranquil ponds adorned with water lilies, while the rock gardens and flowerbeds burst with seasonal blooms, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of textures and fragrances. Each section offers a unique visual feast, from the golden hues of autumn foliage to the fresh greenery of spring, making it a year-round sanctuary for nature lovers and a living masterpiece of Iran’s botanical heritage.

Unfortunately, either I visited it at the wrong time, or the condition and condition of the internal environment was not adequate and appropriate. I expected better conditions. Unfortunately, many routes were closed or could not be visited at this time. Of course, it should be kept in mind that the spring season has just started and many plants are either sleeping or budding.

I bought the ticket from there but you can buy the ticket in advance. There were a flower shop in front of the entrance gate where you could buy seeds and flowers. The gave a garden’s map to you while checking your tickets. From my point of view the Hirkani jungle was the most beautiful part of it. Other parts included:Japanese and Chinese part,American,African and … parts.the label of plants were adequate. There were multiple lakes and rivers there. The butterfly museum included butterflies from all continents and other bugs. Highly recommended.

This park was established as the first Tehran park in 1339 in the heart of Tehran. Over the years, many recreational and tourist facilities have been added to this park, and thus remains one of the most visited and most memorable parks in the city of Tehran. The aquarium located on the southeast side of the city park was first built as a refuge in the war between Iran and Iraq. After the war, the sanctuary changed to an aquarium for displaying freshwater fish. Also, fish and aquarium supplies are sold at this place. The artificial lake of Park City is located on the northeast side. You can ride in the lake.

Nestled in the northwest of Tehran, adjacent to Chitgar Lake, Iran Mall, also known as the Grand Bazaar of Iran, aims to become the largest shopping mall globally. This impressive retail haven offers over 500 shops and an astounding 200 restaurants. Visitors can explore a vast 3,300 square meter book garden housing an impressive collection of 67,000 volumes. Additionally, there's a family entertainment center featuring a covered amusement park and various attractions.
I had a wonderful experience exploring this mall. While it offers the essentials, it truly shines with its exceptional furniture stores, a stunning library, and a variety of restaurants that boast fantastic atmospheres. The mini authentic-looking bazaar and ice rink add unique charm and excitement to the visit. I made a concerted effort to cover the entire mall, only to miss the top floor because my wife and I were feeling a bit tired. The only downside was the food court, which left something to be desired. However, overall, this mall is a fantastic destination for a day out, with so much to see and do!

Iran mall is the biggest mall in middle east as far as I know. You can easily find all types of stores and places to entertain yourself and enjoy . There's a variety of activities you can do. Going to Helium Park or illusiona for having fun. Walking in Mahan garden or the fountains outside . The movie theaters are nice and newly built. There's also a VIP theater that is really cool. The cafes are really nice and serve all types of food drinks and coffee usually Italian food and fast food . There's a very big multi story parking lot. Make sure to take photos of the block . You can easily get lost. Use your map and instructions on each floor notice board Have fun 🥳

Iran Mall is a true masterpiece of architecture and culture that offers visitors an unparalleled experience. This massive complex, with its stunning design and vast spaces, presents a fascinating blend of traditional and modern markets. Wandering through the Persian Garden, inspired by the Mahan Gardens of Kerman, strolling through the Hall of Mirrors, which evokes the Golestan Palace, and visiting the Jundishapur Library, all provide a delightful journey into the heart of Iran's history and culture.. In addition to its cultural and recreational facilities, the immense variety of reputable domestic and international brand stores, a large hypermarket, and a food court offering a wide array of delicious foods, have made Iran Mall an ideal destination for shopping and leisure. This complex, by creating a beautiful and functional space, has become a symbol of prosperity and progress in the tourism and commerce industries, providing a positive and unforgettable experience for every visitor.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Iran Mall, and it was an incredible experience. The mall itself is vast and impressive, offering a wide range of shops, dining options, and entertainment facilities. However, what truly stood out to me was the charming rooftop area. The roof of Iran Mall is an absolute gem. It features a beautifully designed trail that is perfect for a quick walk or a leisurely stroll. As I walked along the path, I was treated to stunning panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape. The blend of modern architecture with natural elements creates a serene and captivating atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to take a break from shopping or simply want to enjoy a moment of tranquility, the rooftop trail is the perfect spot. The combination of fresh air, beautiful landscaping, and breathtaking views makes it a must-visit feature of Iran Mall. Overall, Iran Mall offers a delightful experience, and its rooftop area is the icing on the cake. I highly recommend visiting to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, relaxation, and stunning scenery.

Tehran has so many parks and gardens where families and couples can have a walk around and of course have brunch! Iran Garden is one of my favorite place to visit when I want to feel loved ( nature) and chill. Water is the element which makes this small garden special for me. At the heart of Tehran, it is quite amazing to have a peace and tranquility with sounds of water and birds singing around you. It is small garden ( probably takes 10 minutes to go around the garden but ali spent 30 minutes walking around) and very local ( lots of friendly people). If I can describe this garden in one word would be “romantic “ … it brings a romantic side of me being here. The Music Museum of Iran, located in Tehran near Tajrish Square, is a renowned art museum that opened its doors in 2008. The museum boasts three floors with sections dedicated to instrument exhibitions, a treasure trove of musical artifacts, an audio and video archive, a performance hall, and a music recording studio. Additionally, it houses a specialized library and workshops showcasing the construction stages of instruments. Visitors can also explore a section where they can touch the instruments on display.
Relatively small but visually pleasing ( the way this music museum displays music instruments are quite impressive). You will be greeted by a joint pipe horn at the entrance - played for praying good yields of agricultural products. The Cellini is amazingly designed… not very traditional as such but has meanings. Throughout the museum, they take a design ( was told French and Austrian style) very carefully. In the basement, there is a place where you can play or … shall I say try out traditional Iranian music instruments. After the music museum, you can have a cup of coffee at the cafe in the back of museum. There is also a workshop on glass making as well. Although i visited in winter, garden was nice and a hot coffee gave me a very nice touch. I think one hour for all that may be enough. Nice to learn music instruments of Iran!

The Music Museum was filled with beautiful, traditional instruments and had a very calming and peaceful atmosphere. It’s a great place to explore the rich history of music, and I definitely recommend visiting.

The museum houses a comprehensive collection of Persian instruments from across Iran. The architectural design of the building is aesthetically pleasing, and the museum provides a serene environment for visitors. The admission fee is reasonably priced, making it an accessible attraction for individuals interested in exploring the rich musical heritage of Persia.

A beautifully preserved gem in Tajrish that feels like stepping into the soul of Iran’s musical heritage. The building itself is an elegant historic mansion, and inside you’ll find an impressive collection of traditional instruments, each displayed with care and context. The lighting and quiet atmosphere make it easy to appreciate every detail. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, adding depth to the experience with stories and explanations. Perfect for music lovers or anyone curious about Iranian culture — it’s both inspiring and peaceful. A must-visit in Tehran.

Saint Sarkis Cathedral is a significant landmark in Tehran, Iran. This Armenian Apostolic church, completed in 1970, features a striking exterior made of white marble and an interior adorned with biblical-themed paintings. It is the largest church in Tehran and includes a memorial to the Armenian Genocide. The cathedral's twin spires and beautiful interior make it a must-visit attraction in the heart of this Islamic country.
It's a gathering place for the Armenians. If it were in Yerevan, it would look like an ordinary new church with ordinary architecture. But it is situated in an Islamic republic, between mosques and Tehran's skyscrapers. And it really matches with the dynamical life of Tehran. You can see Christian Armenian posters inside the church. Above it you can see an Islamic poster depicting Imam Khomeini. The existence of the church shows how tolerant the Iranian people are.

good church good people. This is not just church, it’s a monument of Armenian people in Iran. There are other churches in Tehran but this one is the best known because it’s in a good place that people see it and it’s beautiful from outside. If you ask any one in tehran to give you the address of a church , they will show you this one
Babak S — Google review
The church is located at a busy road of capital city of Tehran. Iranian are so good to provide facilities to non muslims in the country but I think about a bad thing, habtually in Iran that is sectarianism. They considered muslim only to shia and life for other sects is not easy. All the Muslim People other than shia are not enjoying their lives but with extra ordinary care. Iranian people must relise this and need to change their mind set for all of the MUSLIMS.

If you're looking for a unique cultural experience, the Miniature Garden Museum in Tehran is a must-visit destination. This enchanting garden showcases intricate replicas of Iran's most iconic historical sites, including Persepolis and Naghsh Jahan Square, allowing visitors to appreciate the rich heritage of the country in miniature form. The museum also features the stunning Moghadam Museum, a historic house from the Qajar dynasty that boasts exquisite architecture and an impressive collection of artifacts.
The area is very clean. very fashionable. It has many museums. Persepolis, thirty-three bridges, forty columns, Bam citadel and several other museums. It is a secluded place. Many people think that it is not possible to go inside this area at all. Because in the past they took money to enter this museum. In general, I recommend. It is worth seeing at least once
Mohammad H — Google review
This was a nice experience for me, to see some of the historical sites I haven't gotten the chance to see, even as a miniaturized version! There's also a handicrafts shop near the entrance which had some nice products. I recommend you visit this park.
Parsa P — Google review
You can see some miniature samples of nearly all of historical heritage of IRAN. Every structure is built to represent its real world building with the scale of one to twenty five (1:25). The result is nice. You can see that samples are located in the park according to the their location in Iran, although not accurately. For instance, Persepolis and Pasargad shoult have been aligned more to the west. Among the structures, Arg_e_Bam, is the only one not completely represented, probably due to its real world size: It's only the center of the Arg that has been re-created : Hakem_Neshin. I visited the park in a cloudy day of winter, and I suggest to avoid sunny days and plan for a warmer afternoon to fully enjoy spending time in the park. There is an entrance fee of 20000 Rial as of Feb 2019. And some shop including handicraft shop and Cafe shop exist after the entrance gate. All and all, it's worth visiting if weather is clean(since it's located near a Highway) and you're interested in history.

A park with attractive models for children to familiarize themselves with the historical structures of Iran. But they should be kept in better conditions so that they can be introduced to people for a longer period of time. It would have been better to have a guide on site to provide the visitors with information about the replicas so that the visitors could learn about their historical background along with seeing the replicas. Many of these historical monuments are registered as world heritage in UNESCO. The protection of these works after registration, while remaining under the jurisdiction of the respective country, will be the responsibility of all member countries. UNESCO World Heritage sites are places such as forest, mountain, reservoir, desert, tomb, building, complex or city.

In Iran, the bazaar is a hub for classic rice-based Iranian dishes, but there are also street food options available. Along Panzdah-e Khordad Street, visitors can find a variety of street food such as falafel sandwiches and wraps. For those with a sweet tooth, bamieh, Persian doughnuts flavored with saffron and rosewater, are a popular choice. This diverse array of street food offers lighter or vegetarian options for those exploring the bustling bazaar area.

Saadabad Cultural and Historical Complex is a sprawling 110-hectare area in the north of Tehran, nestled at the base of Mount Tochal. Once home to Mohammad-Reza Shah and his royal family, it now houses several museums within former palaces.
It's one of the best places to dive into Iran's recent history. You can see many aspects of Iran's recent history. You can visit the Green and White Palace and other fantastic buildings, or you can walk through the wonderful gardens and old trees.
Saleh E — Google review
A beautiful historical palace with stunning architecture and lush gardens. The museums inside are interesting, especially the Green Palace with its amazing mirror work. A peaceful place to explore, but some areas need better maintenance.
Fafa S — Google review
The Sa'dabad Palace, with all its grandeur and elegance, didn’t feel like just a museum to me. It felt like a quiet, haunting reminder of days long gone, and the tragic fate of those who once called this place home. The moment you step inside, you're not just observing history, you're feeling it. Every piece of furniture, every ornate detail, seems to softly whisper stories from a time that's vanished, gently pulling you into a world that no longer exists. The towering ceilings, the breathtaking mirror halls, the priceless hand-woven carpets, all once witnesses to a life of unimaginable luxury, now lie in a stillness that almost aches. Room after room feels like a snapshot of a life paused mid-breath, a life that ended too suddenly. There’s a beauty here, yes, but it’s the kind that carries a quiet sadness. A kind of beauty that makes you reflect on how nothing, not even royalty, escapes the passage of time. Visiting the Sa'dabad Palace isn’t just about admiring its beauty or learning about history, it’s about sensing the bittersweet rhythm of endings, and the fragility of everything we think will last forever. If your heart is open to the weight of the past and the emotions it carries, this palace has so many silent stories to share.
Nika — Google review
Visiting the Sa’dabad Palace Complex is an unforgettable experience that beautifully combines history, architecture, art, and nature. Nestled in the foothills of the Alborz Mountains in northern Tehran, this historic complex is a true gem of the city. The fresh mountain air, the sound of running water, and the sight of tall, ancient trees make walking through the grounds feel like stepping into a peaceful forest steeped in history. Gardens and Natural Setting One of the most striking features of Sa’dabad is its vast green space. The cobblestone paths lined with old trees create a serene atmosphere, perfect for leisurely walks. In spring and summer, the gardens are lush and vibrant, while in autumn, the golden and red leaves turn the palace grounds into a breathtaking landscape. Unlike many historic sites, here you can easily spend hours simply strolling through the gardens and enjoying the tranquil environment. Palaces and Museums The complex is home to several palaces and museums, each with its own unique charm. Highlights include the White Palace (Mellat Palace), famous for its luxurious décor from the Pahlavi era, and the Green Palace, with its elegant and more historic interior. There are also various museums, such as the Water Museum, Royal Dishes Museum, Calligraphy and Miniature Museum, and the Farah Diba Museum. Each section offers a glimpse into Iran’s royal past and cultural heritage. Art, Décor, and Historical Details Inside the palaces, you’ll find yourself surrounded by exquisite details: handwoven Persian carpets, European-style furniture, chandeliers, mirrors, paintings, and ornate plasterwork. Walking through the halls feels like entering a time capsule that preserves the elegance and lifestyle of Iran’s royal family in the 20th century. Practical Tips • Ticket prices differ for local and foreign visitors. • The complex is very large — plan at least 2–3 hours for a full visit. • Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and consider a hat or sunscreen in warmer seasons. • English and Persian guides are available in some sections. • Photography is allowed in most areas, but certain halls may have restrictions. Location and Access The Sa’dabad Complex is located in the Darband area of northern Tehran, close to Tajrish Square. The easiest way to reach it is by metro to Tajrish Station, followed by a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk to the entrance. The surrounding area is full of charming cafés and local shops, adding a lively atmosphere to your visit. Overall, Sa’dabad Palace Complex is not just a historical site — it’s a full experience of Iranian culture, royal heritage, and natural beauty. Whether you’re a tourist or a local resident, visiting this magnificent complex is absolutely worth your time.

The most beautiful place in autumn in Tehran! What an atmosphere it has! It's your best option when you want to enjoy the eye-catching colors of autumn. It's the best feeling when you walk around this complex and enjoy the environment. Also a great opportunity for photography. All the palaces and museums are beautiful and you have to visit them all so you don't miss anything. I recommend you to go among the trees which doesn't have a road. It's much queiter and more peaceful. It's a good feeling when you think someday the King of Iran used to be in this great complex. It doesn't get crowded at weekends but it's better to visit in the morning. You can also visit here in spring which is also nice but autumn is my favorite season 😊
Vahid T — Google review
The palace is filled with buildings, libraries, and independent kitchens, each of which can be entered and explored, with beautiful green spaces adorned with tall trees and the sound of parrots flying above them. Jamshidiyeh Park, also known as Stone Garden, is a former private garden turned into a picturesque park located at the northernmost point of Tehran near the Alborz mountain range. The park offers a serene escape from the city with its clean and mountainous weather, making it popular for hiking and picnics. With its steep climb up the mountainside, it provides stunning views of Tehran and boasts local flora and fauna that make for perfect Instagram photos.
Jamshidiyeh Park is a hidden gem in the Alborz Mountains on the northern outskirts of Tehran. This sprawling urban park offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. There are well-maintained walking and jogging trails, playgrounds for children, and several seating areas for relaxation. In case you arrive on sun rise, you will find this place a perfect place to meditate.

A sizable park in northern Tehran offers a refreshing respite from the city's pollution. However, due to its immense popularity, particularly during holidays, parking can be challenging. Public transportation is the recommended mode of access. The ascent to the summit takes approximately 40 minutes, rewarding visitors with panoramic views of Tehran and its environs.

A lovely park, with a great weather and also a good spot for camping and climbing. Just the number of dogs in the park are a bit annoying but totally it's a nice park. Feel free to ask me your questions about this place.
Mohammad C — Google review
The park is nice and beautiful. It is difficult to find a parking space by car. There is a parking lot at the end of the street, and the entrance is charged based on the hours you were in the park. It has a space with chairs, a few gazebos, but there are platforms to sit on throughout the park. It is difficult to find toilets and sanitary facilities in the park. It has a green and attractive space. The entire park is divided into several sections, and each section of the park is separate and you can visit it. The park is on a slope and is not a good place for running or playing games like badminton.

Jamshidieh Park in Tehran is a beautiful natural escape that offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors amid the bustling city. Nestled at the foot of the Alborz Mountains, the park is known for its lush greenery, charming pathways, and stunning views of the city and surrounding landscapes. However, it is worth noting that the park has seen better days in terms of maintenance. Some areas appear to be in need of attention, with litter occasionally detracting from the natural beauty. Despite this, the park still retains its charm and remains a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. One of the unique aspects of Jamshidieh Park is its series of stairs that lead all the way to the top. If you're up for the challenge, starting from the very bottom and walking up all the stairs could take you about an hour. It's a rewarding climb that offers a great workout and culminates in breathtaking views. Overall, Jamshidieh Park is a worthwhile visit for those looking to connect with nature and enjoy a bit of hiking within Tehran. While the maintenance issues may detract slightly from the experience, the park's natural beauty and the invigorating climb make it a memorable destination.

The premises was established as a private garden by the Qajar prince and engineer Jamshid Davallu Qajar during the Pahlavi era. The Stone Garden became a public park in 1977, it was reconstructed and expanded with the addition of Ferdowsi garden in 1995. You can enjoy taking pictures in Fall Season 😉

I truly enjoy visiting this cozy neighborhood park. It serves as a beautiful and peaceful escape from the nearby traffic noise. While it's smaller, it’s always clean and feels very safe, even in the late afternoons. The benches are comfortable and strategically placed for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It’s a great spot for local residents to gather and for children to play briefly. The planting of colorful flowers and well-cared-for trees adds a lovely touch to the atmosphere. It would be helpful if they increased the number of recycling bins, but the overall calm environment is its biggest asset. A real gem for the local community.

All the valuable collections of ancient history and paintings from around the world gathered in this place. A small coffee shop in a beautiful yard in the middle of this house.

In central Tehran, this house museum tells the story of one of the Iranian pioneers of excavation in historical sites. Born into an affluent family, Hossein Moghaddam studies in Europe of different occasions. Upon his return to Iran, he resided in this house and was busy teaching in the university and leading excavation works in the southern part of the country. The house has been renovated, but certain areas retain their original structure. It is typical of late 19th century Iranian architecture where one big courtyard in the centre connects different areas of the house. Consider that the place can get very crowded at times.

The Moghadam House Museum of the University of Tehran once belonged to Dr. Mohsen Moghadam, the son of Ehtesab al-Molk, and was donated to the university in 1972. This house, built in the late Qajar era on Sepah Street, was registered as a national heritage site in 2000. It consists of three courtyards: the outer and inner yards. The buildings include a vestibule, reception room, workshop, aristocratic tower, Qajar-era veranda, and more. The complex also features a Japanese garden, designed and created by Mohsen Moghadam and his wife, inspired by traditional Japanese gardens.

It was a small museum with a beautiful garden. Even in the winter time (no blooming flowers), it was still beautiful. Only, there was absolutely no English explanation (what was this place for, who was the owner), and they only took card payment. No cash. As a tourist, I didn't have a local debit card, and didn't know how to pay. Luckily some kind iranian girls helped me with the payment. Looked like this place was a popular for young girls. Instagram spot. Many ladies came, and they made hundreds of photos. Fun to watch them as well. They had a museum cafe/restaurant in the garden, and the food was beautifully presented and tasty. A bit pricy considering the local price. Truly a jem of Tehran.

Must must visit. It's completely off the tourist radar which lends it a certain peace, missing in other parts of Tehran. Masoudieh Palace, a serene and picturesque royal complex nestled in the heart of Tehran, was constructed in 1879 under the orders of Naser Al-Din Shah for his son Masoud Mirza. This architectural gem not only served as a residence but also played a pivotal role in Iran's modern history, witnessing significant events such as the constitutional revolution.
This is a beautiful palace from the Qajar period. Unfortunately, lack of funding for maintaining this magnificant site has led to its decay. We were not allowed to visit the interior but the gardens alone are a sight to see. The entry fee of 2500 Tomans makes this a massive bargain (>50 cents or 50 pence).

This is a masterpiece of architecture with pluster decoration. To visit there as many other places you have to buy a entrance ticket. The prices are 25000 Rials for domestics and 150000 Rials for others. In the past there was a café and restaurant but at now there isn't because its yard is under excavation and some archeologists guest there is footprints of an ancient town back to 7000 before.

The place itself is nice to visit but how they care of this palace is terrible, most of the windows are broken, you don't have access to the inside of the building and overall everything is in a really bad shape. I wonder why they sell ticket if they don't take care of the place with the revenue!

Imamzadeh Saleh, also known as the Tajrish Mosque, is a significant Muslim shrine and burial site located in the northern district of Tehran. The mosque features traditional architectural elements and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It houses the entombed remains of Saleh, a son of Musa al-Kadhim, a Twelver Shia Imam. The interior of the mosque is particularly spectacular and attracts visitors from all over.
What a peaceful place in heart of Tajrish. There is a Bazar beside the Mazaar. That has everything you want to buy. I love visiting Iran.

Busy and pretty. If they open super early, better go that time.

Although I'm not a religious guy I visited this mosque to admire its beautiful skyline, architecture, various ornament details and last, but not least, to socialize with some girls. (I promised them to publish their photo, so here it is).

Imamzadeh Saleh is the name of the cemetery in the Tajrish region of Tehran. This is a famous shrine of Tehran, with an area of three thousand meters in the south-east side of Tajrish Square. The original monument is a quadrangle with a magnificent square with its inner space of 422 thousand and 50 square meters with has tall walls. Due to the arches of the vaults, in terms of the style and architecture of the monuments The Ilkhanite era was most likely to be built in the seventh and eighth centuries AH.
M.Ali N — Google review
Here are less tourist than at other places in Teheran. It's cool to see the locals sitting on the square and enjoying a picnic. Worth to visit. Don't miss the Tajrish Bazaar next to it.
Roger S — Google review
If there is not too many people, maybe you can sit back and relax inside the holy shrine. Sometimes they serve you with breakfast early morning. During certain celebrations there is crowded and you can hardly get in. It is the most famous holy shrine in Tehran. You can also visit the small bazaar beside this place.

The Time Museum in Tehran is a historic house museum that offers a unique exploration of time through its captivating displays of antique clocks and watches. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history of Iran while savoring the real value of time in this bustling metropolitan capital. The museum also features a charming cafe and garden, providing a tranquil setting to appreciate both culture and history.
“This Time Museum has gathered a remarkable and complete collection of clocks, making it a fascinating place for those interested in the history of timekeeping. The architecture and intricate plasterwork of the building were truly stunning, adding to the museum’s charm. One of the most captivating sections was the room dedicated to clocks donated by famous Iranian figures, offering a unique glimpse into history. The combination of historical artifacts and the beautiful design of the building created an unforgettable experience, making it a must-visit for history and art enthusiasts alike.”

An amazing place to visit in Tehran, nice landscape, amazing historical house and a nice cafe-restaurant. The toilet which is in the entrance was not so clean.
PegiTa ( — Google review
Really worth to visit. I suggest to visit this amazing place in the evening when you have light start to visit the building and then when it gets dark, check the outside of the building which is amazing. There is a cozy nice cafe shop next to the historical building. Sit outside and enjoy the peaceful vibe.
Leily G — Google review
Great restaurant in the garden to relax for late afternoon away from buzzing of the Tajish market. I think of you like a clock and watch, it may worth a visit. The beautiful building and what I appreciated was a section of memorial watch. Most of the people teams has English translations. I spent 15 minutes in total. Was on Friday afternoon and the museum was full of young couples taking pics of building! That was nice. 10 minutes from the market so if you are around, nice to drop by!

The Time Museum was a beautiful house with lovely stucco work, featuring a tasteful owner and a collection of antique clocks and calendars.
Fatemeh N — Google review
The story behind the Time Museum is truly sad. The original owner lived here for only about a year before being exiled, and the house was confiscated. Now it’s a museum, and at least it hasn’t been destroyed. The collection includes clocks, calendars, and various time-measuring tools. The most beautiful part for me was the Isfahani-style room — I really enjoyed its intricate details and beauty.

Time Museum (Muze-ye Zaman)** A must-visit gem in Tehran! This museum is housed in the stunning former residence of **Hossein Khodadad**, a renowned Iranian entrepreneur. The building itself is a masterpiece, adorned with **exquisite plasterwork** blending Persian and European architectural styles. Inside, you’ll find a fascinating collection of **timekeeping devices**, from ancient sundials and water clocks to luxurious mechanical watches and pocket watches. It’s a journey through humanity’s quest to measure time, with exhibits spanning centuries and cultures.
Pouria P — Google review
In one word, Wonderful. Time museum located in a garden at Zaferaniye street. From the entrance you will notice a calmness and artistic vibe. This house took more than a decade to build. Mind blowing detail in the house combined with a great collection of watches from the beginning of watchmaking. All kind of watches waits behind the glass for you to see them. Definitely recommend it to visit even if you are stay at tehran for short period.

Garden
The Iranian Art Museum, also known as the Museum Garden of Iranian Arts or Bagh-e Honar-e Irani, is a charming garden located in Tehran's Elahieh district. This historical site dates back to the first Pahlavi era and features a beautiful mansion used for exhibitions and educational purposes.
A historical and very beautiful place in one of the best parts of Tehran, which can be a suitable place for tourists who come to Iran to travel and spend time and have fun. I recommend you to visit this unique and beautiful place. The garden of the Iranian Art Museum, which is also known as the Sepahbod Garden, is one of the tourist attractions of Tehran, which is located in the Elahia area. The main fame of this museum garden is due to the presence of beautiful replicas of Iran's famous tourist attractions in it. This garden underwent a total renovation operation in 2004. After the reconstruction of this park, handicraft sales centers and some cultural-artistic products, art workshops and some other green areas were added to this collection.
Mahdi F — Google review
It was my misunderstanding as I was expecting typical museum of art as such but it is indeed art in the form of miniature replication of famous buildings in Iran. Open garden with numerous friendly cats who will come and greet you ( I suppose they would welcome if you share your food but unfortunately I went to the park too early so no restaurant were open in the park). Indeed it has many beautiful cafe and restaurants ( I think I counted 4 of them). There are many benches to sit down and enjoy the tranquility of the autumn leaves falling from trees and enjoyment of soft and warm autumn sun. Great to stroll for ten minutes and sit down in the cafe ( if it is open) or bench and read a book. Entrance is free of charge. Next time, I need to bring treats for cats!

The garden of the Iranian Art Museum, located near Dr. Hesabi Museum, offers a peaceful escape from the city's bustle. While it's a small space, the garden is well-maintained and features miniature replicas of historic Iranian landmarks, giving visitors a charming glimpse into the country’s architectural heritage. It's a lovely spot for a short stroll or quiet reflection, especially for those exploring nearby cultural sites.
Hakh82 — Google review
The Museum of Contemporary Art's garden in Iran is an extraordinary space located in the northern part of Tehran, in the delightful climate of Elahieh. In this area, elements from iconic structures of Iran, ranging from the Azadi Tower to the Shams-ol-Emareh in Golestan Palace, are incorporated. Additionally, there are two cafés within the garden where visitors can sit and enjoy the beauty of this enchanting space.
Pouria P — Google review
Absolutely loved the peaceful garden and beautiful miniatures of famous Iranian landmarks. Perfect spot for a quiet walk, taking photos, or just relaxing for an hour. One of those hidden gems in Tehran I always recommend to friends.
Saeed G — Google review
It is a small beautiful and tranquil garden that exhibits some of the most beautiful replicas of Iran's archiological buildings. It contains several stores that offer Persian handicrafts and a coffee shop and a restaurant in a pleasant environment.
Hadi T — Google review
This garden houses the miniature replicas of the prominent historical sites in Iran. These replicas were designed and made for the 2500th anniversary of the Iranian monarchy but were never used publicly in that period until it was decided to be placed in the garden. It's an ideal place to have a walk around and get to know the sites through the replicas.

Qasr Garden Museum, formerly known as Qasr Prison, has a rich history that dates back to the Qajar era. Originally built as a palace, it was later converted into two separate prisons for criminals and political prisoners. In 2012, it reopened as an innovative museum and sculpture park set within tranquil landscaped gardens. The architecture combines Persian and European elements, creating a unique atmosphere for visitors to explore.
formerly called Qasr Prison, was the first central prison in Tehran. The prison is now shut down and is being visited by the public as the cultural, historical and artistic center of the country, under the name of the Garden of the Palace Museum, located on the highway of Shahid Sayyid Shirazi Highway. Qasr Prison was opened on December 11, 1308 by Reza Shah. The initial phase of the prison, which was inaugurated at that time, was 192 rooms with a capacity of 800 detainees. Later, and until the construction of Evin Prison in the forties, the prison was the only prison in the capital. During this period, the Palace of Prisons developed a lot. After the Islamic Revolution of Iran, this prison was a place of imprisonment for non-political prisoners. In 2004, this prison closed and municipality began to destroy parts of it. Eventually, in 1391, by the municipality it became the museum's garden, and on November 14, 1391, with the presence of the mayor of Tehran and a group of artists for public visitation, the opening ceremony was held.
M.Ali N — Google review
The following photos are related to the garden of Tehran Palace Museum. Take a look at the stories. This place was a prison before and it has become a recreation area for citizens. There are still elements of past here. However, you will also encounter various artistic elements. It has good energy here, if you do not think about its past
Alireza A — Google review
Qasr Garden Museum blends history with open space in a way that makes you slow down. The old prison building has been restored into a cultural spot, and walking through its brick halls feels both heavy and fascinating. The gardens outside are quiet, with tall trees and a central fountain that give you a break from the city noise. Not every section is always open, and some parts feel a bit underused, which is why I wouldn’t give it a full 5. Still, for anyone interested in Tehran’s layers of history and a less-crowded place to wander, it’s worth the visit.
Saeed G — Google review
There are 2 prisons in a big garden, i don't suggest the political one, but one of them called Markove is the first modern prison in Iran which designed by a Russian architect. He considered Iranian architectural style and material in design of the prison. There are some old cars, some other stuff on exhibition. In the garden you can find 3 cafes with pleasant atmosphere.

Good park with so many cats and many little dogs that people bring for walking, a couple of coffee shops in the park and around, street music at nights, art galleries in the buildings, and some modern design statues in the green area. At the weekends it is somehow difficult to find a parking space. Sometimes in the new year holidays here is the place for exhibition of handicrafts and souvenirs.

Shopping
ARG Shopping Mall, situated in the Tajrish area of Tehran, is a luxurious shopping center that has been a popular destination since 2012. With over 200 stores spread across five commercial floors, it offers a wide range of products including clothing, cosmetics, electronics, and more. The mall also features an amusement park and amphitheater as well as a green roof garden.
The roof garden's panoramic views are a notable asset. The previous restaurant's closure underscores the need for a high-caliber replacement to fully leverage this prime location.
Mr. M — Google review
A good mall for shopping but just as important they have a very large parking garage that is very convenient. The food court is not big but has several tasty options. Lots of Turkish clothing brands as well as indigenous stores.
Saeed G — Google review
The mall is modern and clean with a nice skylight design, but the variety of shops feels limited compared to other big malls in Tehran. Weekends get very crowded, making it harder to enjoy walking around. Parking is available but usually packed, so it can take a while to find a spot. Prices in some stores are on the higher side, and the food court options are average at best. It’s okay for a quick visit, but not really a must-see.
Saeed G — Google review
Loved the cafe. Not so much the cinema. It is well designed and appropriate for women clothing and accessories. Its food is also interesting. So if you are a woman, Arg could be a good place for you. Perfume, cosmetics, accessories (gold, silver &...) and cloths and shoes from popular brands could be found here. Prices are reseanable. The food court is built on the last floor it has a pleasant atmosfer and view too. Entrance and exit of parking is comfortable but the fee is a little high. All and all you can experience joyful moments during visiting this mall. It takes about 1 and half hour to stroll along.
Mohammad K — Google review
The food court in the Arg Passage was very cool and delicious. We ordered a lot of food and enjoyed it with our friends. It's a space full of restaurants and a lot of variety, and the passage is full of branded and stylish clothes. Be sure to visit.

Arg Shopping Center, located in the Tajrish area of northern Tehran, is a modern and well-designed mall offering a comfortable and family-friendly shopping experience. It features a balanced mix of mid-range and upscale retail stores, alongside various cafés, restaurants, and entertainment options. One of its highlights is the outdoor terrace with a scenic view, making it a popular spot for evening visits. The mall also includes a cinema complex, a well-maintained food court, and clean, organized facilities. Its convenient location and proximity to public transportation make it easily accessible.
Amirreza B — Google review
This is a fairly high end mall. The exterior is made of glass with changing light color during the nights. The interior is quite modern with lifts and escalators. There are also many parking spaces and a car wash. It is clean and quite upscale mall in Tajrish quarter.

Nestled on the bustling Fereshteh Street, Sam Center is a nine-story architectural gem that has become a premier shopping destination in Tehran. Boasting an impressive selection of elite international brands like Montblanc and Chopard, this center offers a blend of fashion and luxury. Additionally, it houses top-notch restaurants and cafes for a delightful culinary experience.
Luxury and hi-prestige shopping centre. There are some handcrafted and art galleries, jwelery and hi-fashion boutiques. Also, don’t miss the most luxurious restaurants in Tehran which are located on top of the tower with unique and amazing view of tehran.
Zhila M — Google review
This mall is one of the smallest I've visited, featuring around 20 shops. While I wouldn’t highly recommend it as a shopping destination, it seems to attract visitors primarily for the high-end atmosphere. The stores lean toward the upscale side, and there are a few unique shops worth checking out, but nothing particularly extraordinary. If you’re looking for a more extensive shopping experience, you might want to explore elsewhere.
Sam — Google review
A small but spacious shop enter. The interior is in black marble with white veins and stripes. I saw luxury stores but few customers.
I Q — Google review
Sam Center feels more like a boutique experience than a typical mall — sleek glass façade, polished floors, and a quiet, upscale atmosphere. The lighting is warm and flattering, perfect for the high–end brands inside. You’ll catch the aroma of fresh coffee drifting from Sam Coffee Roasters as soon as you enter. Shops here change less often than in other malls, but I noticed a couple of new displays since my last visit. It’s never overly crowded, making it a comfortable place to browse, though prices are definitely on the luxury side.
Saeed G — Google review
Sam Center is an elegant and high-end shopping destination located in the Fereshteh district of northern Tehran. The mall specializes in luxury retail, hosting a curated selection of premium international brands such as Rolex, Montblanc, and other upscale fashion and accessory labels. Its sleek and minimalist design, along with attentive service and quiet atmosphere, provide a boutique shopping experience. The top floor features some of Tehran’s finest restaurants and cafés, making it not just a shopping spot but also a refined culinary destination. Though relatively small compared to larger malls, Sam Center is ideal for those seeking exclusivity, privacy, and high-end service.
Amirreza B — Google review
Most of the shops inside give a luxurious vibe, yes. But the building itself is quite mediocre. Slick in built, but aesthetically mid level.
Sorenna Z — Google review
