American restaurant
The Old Faithful Inn Dining Room is located within one of the most renowned inns in the National Park Service. The restaurant offers a wide selection of classic American dishes and an expansive buffet with elevated cuisine. The historic ambiance includes a 76-foot-tall ceiling, hickory chairs, and a fireplace made from locally quarried rhyolite. Designed by Robert Reamer, the dining room features lodgepole-pine walls and ceiling beams, along with a large volcanic rock fireplace.
Beautiful wood framed lodge and dining room. Must make reservations. They do have a buffet, but we ordered off the menu, which seemed like a better choice. We enjoyed our steak and vegetables. The wedge salad was good but small portions for the price. Great experience. Loved the fireplace.

We had a pretty good experience dining at the Old Faithful Inn restaurant. We tried a variety of dishes—marinara sauce pasta, power tofu, spinach artichoke dip, red pepper soup, gnocchi, and a chicken entrée. The vegetarian items stood out—they were flavorful and well-prepared. The meat dish was just okay, not bad but not particularly memorable. Portions were generous; most of us ended up taking food to go., Pasta came with fries. Server was good too. We had made a reservation for our group of six people. There was a buffet option as well. The rustic, historic ambiance added to the overall charm—makes you feel like you’re truly dining inside Yellowstone. Worth a visit if you’re staying nearby or passing through.
Tapasya S — Google review
We had a good time eating at the Inn. We were there during lunch. They have decent vegetarian options. We decided to a la carte instead of choosing the buffet, however looks like buffet is a popular choice. We got the buffalo sauce chickpeas wrap it was really good right amount of sauce did not feel dry with fries and salad. The fries were really good as well, the salad was basic, wouldn’t recommend it. We also got the fried pita with artichoke dip, the dip was too salty for me but still good if you want to share bit sized amongst many people, the fried pita was tasty. Overall would dine in again. We also got the huckleberry ice cream. I 200% recommend the ice cream since huckleberries are particular to this region and hard to harvest. Icecreams make a great way of trying a new flavor!

Came here with a massive appetite after a long day at Mammoth area. I had 6:30 reservation and all the items were still available. I had a chicken, salmon and 2 short ribs with tiny portions of every other item in the offering. They were all cooked well and delicious. For 61 dollars (49 plus tax plus tip), I am satisfied with the overall experience!
Kenta Y — Google review
As much as I didn’t want it to be so, the poor reviews are absolutely true. What a shame. So much potential. House salads for $7-10 that had a small amount of old lettuce. Inedible chicken wings. Serviceable Salmon. Very much not worth the $ you will spend. We cancelled our night 2 reservation and headed into West Yellowstone (45 minute beautiful drive) for an excellent dinner.

I don't where the rest of these folks ate, but we had a five star experience at the Old Faithful Inn Dining Room. We had an 8:15 pm reservation on a Wednesday night in June. (DEFINITELY make a reservation far in advance!) We were sat within a few minutes of our reservation time and it was just early enough to catch the sun setting out the historic windows. While we waited there was beautiful live music to enjoy. Old Faithful Inn is a treat for all the senses. The architecture of the Inn and the charming dining room are not to be missed. I felt seriously lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy a meal in such an amazing location. Service was great - there was someone to keep our water glasses filed as well as our kind server who took our order and stopped by multiple times to bring cocktails and refills as needed. We all opted for the buffet and found it to be hot, fresh and with a delicious variety of food to explore, from the fresh hot rolls and honey butter, to green salads, braised vegetables, pastas, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, trout and a delectable prime rib. We even had huckleberry cobbler for dessert! We enjoyed every bite - seriously, we liked every single thing we tried! - and went back for seconds. After a day in the park hiking and sight seeing, we had worked up an appetite and it was the perfect end to our first day at Yellowstone. I tried all sorts of huckleberry food and drinks on this vacation and my had one of my favorites, a huckleberry margarita with actual muddled berries at the OFI dining room. It was such a delicious sweet and tart treat! I felt the variety, quality and attentive service made this a five star experience in a five star location.

10/10 Lunch Buffet! I stopped here for lunch after walking around the geyser basins and enjoyed their fantastic lunch buffet. It seems like buffets are going out of style but please Old Faithful Inn don't ever drop this buffet! Amazing bison sausage, pulled pork, cornbread, beans, salads, mac n' cheese, potatoes, dessert, etc. All the hardy western favorites to keep you full during your day in the park. Service was quick and friendly, fair prices, and the dining room is a historic, beautiful sight.
Robert E — Google review
Came here for lunch and it was okay. Had appetizers with artichoke dip and wings. The dip was good but the wings lacked spice. Of the main food options, the Bison Burger was nice but other options were only okay. Overall a solid experience worth 3 stars.

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dining Room offers a seasonal American menu with stunning views of the lake. As the oldest operating hotel in the park, it exudes timeless elegance with its Colonial Revival design and panoramic windows overlooking Yellowstone Lake. The dining room's high ceilings and colonial architecture create an atmosphere of sophistication. Guests can enjoy regional ingredients and gourmet entrees while taking in the picturesque scenery.
The hotel was fine but people need to understand we are in a remote location and often their expectations are not realistic. The dinner in the dining room was awesome. Yes, we dine in up scale places. Our server, Alex, was outstanding and we had no clue it was his first night as a server. One would never know. He was very busy but communicated to us on everything. Again, we are in a National Park and people must be patient. I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.
Bonnie H — Google review
This review is for the dining room for dinner, not the hotel or any other meals. My wife and I live in D.C. and decided to try the Lake Lodge dining room after eating at the Old Faithful Inn and at the eatery up in Canyon. The dinner options at Old Faithful were excellent and the food at Canyon was not even 100% edible. So, on our second night in Canyon, we decided to make a reservation and drove down to the Lake Lodge. We were not disappointed, and the food at the Lake Lodge was actually slightly better than at Old Faithful Inn. I would advise people to pretend the buffet doesn't exist and just steer clear of it. Everything we ordered from the a la carte menu was excellent, fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The bottle of wine we ordered was extremely reasonable and was so good we ordered a few more bottles while we were in the park. Our server was exceptional, friendly, professional, and honestly provided us a better overall experience than we generally get in the big city. He was so well-liked that another 4-top specifically requested to sit in his section while we were there. I can't remember his name, but he was from Nevada. We ate in 3 of Yellowstone's lodge dining rooms during our visit, and we were also pleased that the menus between them all seemed slightly different, but all had the same excellent quality and service. Perhaps some people ate on off-nights, but given the length of our stay and the various times we visited the dining rooms, I didn't notice any deficiencies. I would eat at any of the Yellowstone historic lodge dining rooms with confidence, but the stuff up at Canyon really is pretty terrible, yet it somehow gets better reviews than this restaurant. I'm hoping this review will go a little ways toward remedying that.

very disorganized at the restaurant check in area. person did not remember my name from 5 minutes ago and asked again and again 4 times for my name. table was delayed by 15 minutes. we asked for a table at the window and they said there were none. when we entered, there were two tables available. we returned to the front area, they said, oh yes, we did not see those two were ready. then the two steaks we ordered were very old tasting like they had been in the freezer for 3 months. Not fresh. no juice. priovious to this we were in the bar area waiting for service to order two drinks. the waitress were just standing around doing nothing. I had to go get them. then I ordered my beer from tap. she came back 20 minutes and said they were out of it. then I said okay, what do you have. I made my 2nd order and she came back 30 minutes later and said they were out of it. Also no wifi for resturant guests. you would think with the days of starlink it is easy to get internet service anywhere in the world. at lease provide it to your bar and restaurant clients. we were very unhappy with the service. we would never come back or send or friends here. there is much better service down at the lake lodge and they have wifi and the people working there are much nicer.
Clif S — Google review
We had a great experience in one of the cabins. It was spotless and comfy! The staff were attentive and welcoming and the day tour of the south loop we booked was well done, too. Also, we saw bison and elk on our morning walk to breakfast! The food was only adequate, but the experience of staying inside the park made up for that shortcoming.
D D — Google review
You need to make a reservation and can only do so if you're staying at accomodations within the park, possibly limited to the hotel itself or the adjoining cabins (?). Dining room was not grand or upscale as expected based on description, but the lake view was spectacular. Quality of food was decent, if a little overpriced. I'm a gluten-free vegan and had the ratatouille with polenta. Had to send it back because it had bread crumbs, despite asking to ensure they were left off, but the final dish was good. Our server, Jack from Texas (as printed on his name tag) was very attentive, as was the buser; staff was terrific, in general. Overall, a good option in the park, especially compared to the park cafeterias and their offerings, but I certainly wouldn't classify this restaurant as fine dining.
Monica K — Google review
I don’t understand this, this is for the restaurant, not the hotel. I said four stars for the “rooms“ but interpret that to mean the food. My wife had a chicken sandwich with side salad and she said both were absolutely delicious. The huckleberry vinaigrette dressing was of note. I had the blackened salmon sandwich and fries, both were excellent with really good dressing on the sandwich and it was very tasty. This was for lunch after a long morning excursion, we walked right in and were seated immediately. They didn’t ask if we were hotel guests, which was in the description we had. It claimed they only served hotel guests? But we didn’t have any problem. We did have an issue when we came back at 6 PM after another full days excursion without reservations. We were turned away, darn it. Next time, if we go, I’m gonna try to stay at the hotel, if I can find a room that’s less than $800 a night. This was the most impressive food we found in the park.
Rick Y — Google review
3/5 means good, worth visiting I had breakfast here several times while staying at the Cabins across the street. The breakfast buffet is quite good compared to typical national park food. I'd recommend eating here if you're staying in the area. Unfortunately I was unable to get dinner here. The dining room appeared to be less than half full, but the staff was turning people away saying reservations only. The Lodge appears to be desperately understaffed. But it's clean and well maintained and very pretty, with terrific views of the lake and mountains.
Travis L — Google review
Food was mediocre at best. Dining reservation staff were absolutely rude. Service staff basically ignored us and was unable to bring a salad out at the same time as an entree. Dinner rolls were served a minute before receiving one persons entree while we waited another 15 minutes for the other persons salad to be delivered. Salmon dip was not good. It was our honeymoon so we decided to stay in the lodge a couple nights, get a fancy dinner, and it was not a great experience. Just go camp somewhere and avoid paying so much for so little. Side note, every table around us was crying?!? Bizarre experience wouldn’t try again. Positive note, the girl at the front desk was super friendly and got us an early check-in. About the highlight of the stay.

Fun items on the menu compared to other park stops. Staff was overwhelmed but still worked hard. Shishito peppers and gouda soup were the highlights.

Exceptional Service at Mammoth Dining Hall – Thank You, Tayla! During our recent visit to Mammoth Dining Hall, we had the pleasure of being served by Tayla, and let me just say, she was truly outstanding. From the moment we sat down, Tayla greeted us with warmth, a genuine smile, and an energy that made us feel instantly welcomed. She went above and beyond in every interaction—thoughtfully answering our questions, checking in at just the right times, and making sure our experience was smooth, relaxed, and enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who not only does their job well but clearly takes pride in making others feel taken care of. Tayla’s kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. She represents the Yellowstone Lodge team beautifully, and we’re grateful she was part of our day. Thank you, Tayla! You made our visit extra memorable. Wishing you all the best! A grateful guest

I really enjoyed my lunch at the Mammoth Dining Room. I ordered a cold, smoked salmon BLT, paired with fruit. A cold hard cider was very refreshing after a hike in the park. Danny, my waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Kimberly K — Google review
We ate there early dinner at 18-Sep-25, ~16:30 (when the place opened). My wife and my son are vegans. This place shows all signs of a typical monopoly business. The food is not so tasty, and in small amounts. My son ordered pasta, but couldn't eat it as it had too much Parmesan cheese. The waitress didn't want to refund us for that, so we invited the manager, and she said we won't pay for that. The service isn't so good, and you wait a long time for the food. Prices are quite high, so the value for the money isn't good. We also ate breakfast in the same place, which was much better than the dinner. It's 20$ per person, self-service. You receive a glass of juice and black coffee or hot chocolate within this price

We walked in and felt excited to that there was such a nice restaurant in town. The dining room itself is lovely and the staff were really nice. The experience fell apart badly from there though. Our server was really friendly and funny but then our order got somehow cancelled after it was placed so we ended up waiting a really long time. After they apologised for that, they said they would get another drink but that was also forgotten. Then the food came and my meal was inedible. I got shrimp added to my pasta which was $9 and that was just 4 small pieces of shrimp which felt extortionate. I’ll say the shrimp was cooked really well so they were nice but the pasta it came on was awful. I can’t even work out how they have managed to get pasta to create a texture like that. It was extremely gummy and was sticking to my teeth badly. A very unappealing texture and confusing how it came to be which put me off so I didn’t eat that at all. We don’t like to make a fuss and send meals back so my partner forced it down instead of wasting the money and I just went and got snacks from the general store after for dinner. My partner’s meal was decent. He got the bison burger and said it was nice. His fries were cold but good otherwise and he liked them. It then took a while to be able to pay and leave so we got stuck there for a long time. I’m of the perception that they are possibly understaffed and it isn’t the individual server or staff members fault when things like this happen but we didn’t go back for our time there as we found the food to be nicer and significantly cheaper next door at the grill.
Taylou — Google review
We were blown away by the soup of the day, which was steak & potato soup. Chef Jeff nailed it! My husband said it was the best soup he’s ever had in his life. Chef Jeff even came out and talked with us! Our server, Alexandra, was terrific, too! She gave us great recommendations. I had the crusted trout and my husband had the roasted chicken. Both were delicious! Even though I was so full, we had to try the lemon cake to go, which was really good, too. We were pleasantly surprised this restaurant in the middle of Yellowstone would have such top notch food and service. We will definitely be back!
Valerie H — Google review
I was with a tour group staying at the Mammouth Hot Spring hotel. We ate both dinner and breakfast here. We had a very nice dinner beating the crowd at around 5 PM. The food was tasty and definitely better quality than what we had at some of our other tour stops. Our server Quincey was excellent. The following morning we had the breakfast buffet which I cannot recommend. The food offerrings were limited and based on the number of people they served it really could have been much better. My personal issue was with the scrambled eggs. Do any buffet's offer real eggs any more. The egss were clearly something impersonating eggs. I ended up eating rice krispies ☹️
Scott M — Google review
Comfortable and inviting dining room. Warm and cozy in winter. Service is generally good. Food quality is acceptable given the remoteness of the place and the fact that in winter it must be a logistical nightmare to keep this running. This is the only choice at Mammoth, but not a bad option at all.

The Old Faithful Snow Lodge Obsidian Dining Room offers a contemporary and rustic dining experience with a touch of wilderness-inspired decor. The spacious interior features wood-and-leather chairs etched with animal figures and intricate lighting fixtures resembling snowcapped trees, creating an intimate atmosphere. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the Old Faithful area through the large windows, sometimes catching a glimpse of the famous geyser erupting.
We had a great meal! I ordered onion rings and bison short ribs with French fries subbed in. The onion rings had a great batter and were very crunchy. The bison was absolutely fantastic! Very juicy and tender with great flavor. The ambiance is a perfect balance between rustic and modern. The service was attentive with water refills and friendly. A treat and luxury fitting for such an idyllic setting.

The food was spectacular and very delectable. The trout and bison are locally sourced and the taste was fantastic. Due to the popularity however, the wait times can be quite long at dinner time and the food service can be pretty slow. $39 for an 8oz steak was a bit costly even for dining inside the park but the overall experience was great.
Jhames — Google review
We were a bit hesitant to go here due to the reviews. But without many other option we still tried. And we positively surprised! The atmosphere is really nice! The fireplaces, live piano music and lodge vibe is really good. Also we found the staff to be very friendly. Yes, the food isn’t Michelin, but it’s also not bad at all considering the prices (Beetroot salad with goats cheese is good!). And there might be a wait to get in (30 mins for us but we weren’t in a rush). I actually recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic experience in the middle of Yellowstone Natuurlijk Park.
Christian M — Google review
How can dinner be so gourmet and delicious but breakfast be so mediocre? Went very early in the season and we could clearly tell the staff are still getting into the groove. First we had dinner and the food was amazing, whatever the child boar curry pasta was, was simply devine. The bison short ribs were also amazing. Service was a bit slow, but also the place was completely full, no doubt service will get better later in the season. We went for breakfast on Sunday and we were very disappointed. Again service was a bit slow and I never got a nice I ordered but the food was by far the biggest let down. The “breakfast potatoes” were just tater tots. It wasn’t particularly pricey but we should have just done the breakfast buffet thing. My eggs were over done and my wife’s pancakes were undercooked. The bacon however was just right.. Would go back just for dinner, would avoid for breakfast.
Weylin S — Google review
Decent but expensive place. We had dinner and breakfast here. Duck legs were excellent. Steak was done properly and the sides tasted well. Service was prompt. Felt they should have a bit more extensive menu but given the constraints, it is understandable. Breakfast was terrible. Nothing stands out in the buffet and pretty mediocre.
Muthuprakash R — Google review
All the food was delicious. The steak was ordered medium-rare and it was perfectly cooked. The service was kind. Maybe make a reservation beforehand.
Agent S — Google review
we ordered 2 mains for dinner and drinks but the total came out just over 100 US dollars WITH TIP FOR 2 MAINS. the steak was also cooked a bit too rare, the inside was fleshy and not the right texture. The leeks also looked like and tasted like someone chewed them up and spit it onto my plate. Very limited menu items for dinner, but the ambiance wasn’t bad

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Obsidian Dining Room at Old Faithful Snow Lodge. The service was outstanding — special thanks to Joy for taking such great care of us! We ordered the bison short rib, duck wings, and the beet salad, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the presentation was lovely. This meal was truly one of the highlights of our stay in Yellowstone. Highly recommend if you're visiting the area!

Nestled in the northern part of Yellowstone, the Roosevelt Lodge Dining Room is a charming tribute to the Old West. Built in 1920 and honored by President Theodore Roosevelt, this rustic log cabin exudes historic charm. The menu features hearty cowboy fare like steak, baked beans, and cornbread alongside options such as skirt steak, mesquite-smoked chicken, and blackened ruby red trout.
What a wonderful dinner experience. A rather small venue but with a very rustic and welcoming ambience. Perfect for families and couples. Really anybody looking for a great meal in a relaxing setting. During our visit it was not surprising loud. Everyone here seemed to be enjoying their dinner have conversation within their table and with others (even the servers). It was a truly welcoming environment were everyone greeted everybody. I like waiting area with the bar and sofa seating to enjoy a cocktail (which can also be enjoyed outside) before dinner. Dinner was great. I wish I took pictures of the delicious food. It was wonderfully presented. Servers were very accommodating to guest especially young ones. Prices here are on the higher end but it is what to expect and the value is there for the location of the restaurant and ambience. We stayed until they closed and didn't feel rushed. Thank you again to the wonderful staff.

Dining in Yellowstone is a little meager, which is ok because you're here for nature, not for foodie tour. That being said, it's nice to have a decent meal once in a while. This lodge provides one of the better offerings here. They don't take reservations so you should show up early especially in peak season. The food, while will not be winning James Beard award anytime soon, is quite good, it's more than you can ask for around here. Prices are ok, serving size reasonably large. Parking is not difficult. There are cabins here, a small general store, and you can even hike a bit before or after your meal.

Great meal. Ribs had a deep flavor. Ribs were more peppery than smoky. Pulled pork sandwich was really good. Tender and juicy pork. Only half the room is used for seating so space is limited. Expect to wait.

What an experience at Roseevelt Lodge. Roasted Chicken, Vegetarian Enchiladas, Yellowstone Caldera Cake. Everything was absolutely delicious. The variety of bourbons and cocktails is a plus in this beautiful and legendary location. My favorite was The Old Scout Bourbon on ice. The staff was friendly and professional. Worth the trip, highly recommended.

This part of Yellowstone does not have too many food options. Burger was lukewarm. Kitchen did not have pickles. All they could bring me was a few slices or tomato and odd shape onion. Chicken was cold and had to be sent back to kitchen. Ribs were ok and better of the 3. The lodge is nice and has a nice bar and sitting area. Would suggest to stay away unless they improve. No internet and wifi in this area. Basically cut off.

Our waitress Tori was FABULOUS! She had a stack of photos of animals in the parks she had taken. She was happy to make suggestions about things in the park and food items on the menu. We had the pork carnitas, half chicken, and trout dinner. All were delicious and hit the spot!

It's one of the only places to eat on this side of the park, and it's a 100-year-old tradition worth trying. Long wait times, but the rocking chairs and revamped bar help. Solid portions of dinner, if unexciting, and not as expensive as other seated dining options in YNP. Bison chili was our favorite.
Sam K — Google review
Family style mostly southern dishes, with such large portions (with two sides, also large) that you perhaps should not order the appetizers! We had a short wait to get seated, but the food came at good speed. Try the fried green tomatoes for appetizers, they are yum. The hot wi gs are 🔥. For the vegetarian, the tofu tacos are OK. The rack of ribs was a hit at our table, as well as the blackened trout. Chicken enchiladas were good as well. Service was very friendly, with our server checking in with us multiple times. The location is beautiful, of course.

The Old Faithful Snow Lodge Geyser Grill is a bustling American-style restaurant located in Yellowstone National Park. It offers a simple, all-day fast-food counter serving breakfast items, burgers, hot dogs, and other quick eats. The family-friendly grill provides spacious seating areas where visitors can enjoy their food or take it on the go. Additionally, gluten-free bread is available for burgers and sandwiches.
They were really busy when I got in so it took 30 minutes to order/get food. The food itself was really good, and I would recommend the signature beef burger and the fries, both being delicious despite the remote location and how busy they were.
Kyle R — Google review
So called food was definitely not edible. They don't add any sauces at all. The lettuce used may not have been washed properly because I found a crawling bug in our package. The patty was probably taken out of the freezer and microwaved. It was the driest ever and so hard it wouldn't break or bend. Price is definitely not worth what they provide as a dish. The person taking our order appeared to be completely bored and didn't want to be there. Some of the menu items listed weren't even available. The cashier couldn't have cared less whether we ordered or not.
Keval P — Google review
Your usual grill providing hamburgers and hot dogs. They also have some salads and Chicken Tenders here. The food is okay. The hamburgers are definitely better than Wylie's Canteen at Lake Lodge by Yellowstone Lake. It's summer and it's really busy. They really need to expand this restaurant to provide more seating. There is seating outside, but they don't clean the tables. And then you realize there are those people who take up a whole table outside because they want to read a book, yet families are looking for a place to sit. Please read your books elsewhere. It's super crowded. Find another place to read your book. Having said this, I do have to point out that after you order your food, it doesn't take long to receive your order.

Well, whatdya expect. It's a quick eat and go restaurant, so you can be on the road again exploring the park and views. Chicken fingers, hot dogs, burgers. Plenty of sauce packet options to mix up your flavor. Try the Old Faithful Root Beer, it's root beer, but with quaint can design. Only found here.

We were hungry and short on time whilst visiting the famous Old Faithful geyser, so we walked across the parking lot for a quick lunch. Essentially fast food, it’s nothing spectacular, but it was decent, and it was fast. The place was jampacked full of people, so I don’t have any photos of the interior, but it was pretty basic, with tables and chairs for seating. You just kind of squeezed in where you could find space. There were large tables that were being utilized by more than one party, just so people could have a seat. Being from out of state on vacation, I opted for the Japaleño Cheddar Elk Bratwurst, because it wasn’t something I could get back home. My wife went with the (3) chicken tenders and fries. I also got a side of the chili cheese fries. My bratwurst was actually very tasty. And it was a pretty good size, so it ended up being relatively filling. The chili cheese fries weren’t the greatest, and I did not finish them. They got cold, and we’re only OK, nothing too spectacular. My wife’s regular fries were quite good. They came in a small little cup, but they were crispy and well seasoned. And with ketchup, they went down quite nice. Her chicken tenders were also good, and there were plenty of sauces to choose from for dipping. Again, this was essentially a fast food at a national park landmark, so it was about what you would expect. Nothing spectacular, but it filled our bellies for the afternoon. Self serve fountain machines were nice and had multiple soda options.

Ordered double cheese burger with fries. Order got skipped, apologized and said they were very busy, but wasn't too many people. Food wise, tasted like cafeteria food, but one of few options avaialble. double cheese burger $11.25 fries $4.50 Also saw a random utility fee? 19 cents lol.

Yeah it’s a fast food type of deal. Got their Cajun Chicken Burger and Fries. The food was good for the price (15 bucks) and it came out really quick. Considering the alternative (2 hr wait for snow lodge dining room), I’m glad I dined here.

Was at the end of the season on 10/25 and can clearly see that the workers were just done for the season and it’s not their fault. There was a bus tour of foreigners and I had to protect my daughter from being run over. The space inside is beyond small especially for this time of year. Others who were just a party of 2 would take an entire section that was meant for 6 leaving a lot of displaced visitors. Overall for a quick bite and if you can get seating ok, or I would have gone somewhere else but since this was the only dining option available for lunch at Old faithful we were stuck.

The Old Faithful Inn Bear Paw Deli is a lodge-inspired eatery located in Yellowstone National Park, offering a variety of prepared sandwiches, snacks, and light meals. Conveniently situated near the Old Faithful geyser, it's an ideal spot to grab a quick bite before catching the eruption. The menu includes options like sandwiches, soups, salads, and even vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
Good place for a drink and snack. They offer a variety of drinks. Friendly service. A little pricy, but you are in the park. The Parmagam chicken wings were excellent.
Cori H — Google review
The deli is in the historic Old Faithful Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stopped there for the huckleberry ice cream which is an excellent treat after a hot day walking in the park.
Mumen R — Google review
Simple place selling mostly prepackaged food that's convenient to pick up for a quick bite or keep in the car while spending the day in Yellowstone. Like most of Yellowstone, don't expect high-end fine dining and you'll be fine.
LeWayne B — Google review
Could be good, but isn't currently. Long line. Not enough staff. Kids Milk carton we bought was sour so had to have manager pour us some fresh milk. Oatmeal on the menu is just a pre packaged container. I had to ask the manager to set out a hot water dispenser since the others weren't hot anymore. Don't recommend- but there aren't really other options...
L B — Google review
All pre-packaged food. More of a snack bar than a deli. You even get the pleasure of heating up your own sandwich in the single microwave which you share with all other patrons who also want hot food.
Sean B — Google review
Would not recommend. Not a deli. Just prepackaged sandwiches with not many options and were out of a lot of things as well and expensive for not being very good. Would recommend planning to bring your own food.
Alyssa J — Google review
We read the reviews and knew there is limited seating. So we planned to buy the prepared wrapped sandwiches and sides in the morning, and carry them for our lunch after a walk on the nearby trails. The sandwiches were very good – they seemed fresh, had good flavor, and were at a reasonable cost. The staff was friendly, and the line moved quickly, so, based on our experience, we would rate the Bear Paw Deli highly as a source for prepared food. A reminder, though, to plan ahead for your seating, as there are only a few tables in the deli. If you park in the Old Faithful Inn lot, it’s only a short walk to your car.
Jim G — Google review
I thought this place was made to order subs/sandwiches. No! It was all prepackaged garbage. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. We threw most of it away. Go over to the main dining hall and get the buffet.

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel Deli has been recently renovated and features vibrant orange and teal decor that pays homage to the 1950s era of Yellowstone. This charming deli opens at 6:30 AM, offering a convenient alternative for breakfast or lunch compared to the hotel's dining room. While not inexpensive, the deli serves quality coffee and breakfast sandwiches, making it a worthwhile option for a satisfying meal.
Nice stop for early bird travelers.

Cute little Dili that opens at 6:30 AM which is not a bad alternative way for breakfast instead of $18.99 buffet at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel Dinning Room or lunch. Even though, this Dili still are not cheap, two coffee (Coffee is actually very good, much better than the coffee in the dinning room) with two breakfast sandwiches will cost you between $20.00 to $25.00. There are some tables at the Dili that you can sit on and have your meal or you can take to the lobby area to eat and enjoy great views of Lake Yellowstone.

Wild West Pizzeria & Saloon is a laid-back establishment that offers a family-friendly atmosphere and live music. The kitchen is known for its cleanliness and the use of fresh ingredients, resulting in top-notch pizzas. The owner, Aaron Hecht, has perfected the art of creating the perfect pizza crust and marinara sauce. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including the Wild West Supreme pizza or calzone, house-made macaroni & cheese, and the hearty Branded Cowboy sandwich.
I was impressed with how good the food and service was here. With how dirty this town is this place rocks. We had great pizza wings and sandwiches. Food came out really fast and hot and the blond waitress was definitely on top of it. The big Hispanic guy was definitely not. The bar had a good vibe and pool tables were on fire 🔥. I highly recommend giving this place a try and definitely get on the wait list

We loved the Wild West names of the pizzas, and the food was delicious. We tried the Doc Holliday and the Wild West pizzas, along with the cheesy bread sticks and something else I can't remember. It looks like a bar (there is one inside, too), and the pizza was much higher quality than we expected. Plus I've never had broccoli on pizza and it was a total win. I almost didn't get a picture in time!
Saysha R — Google review
In the mood for pizza? This is a great place to satisfy that craving! Not only do they have pizza, they also have sandwiches and various pastas! We decided on the Wild West Supreme and BYO pepperoni and olive. Both pizzas tasted great! We loved that they have a thin, crispy crust. The mixed green salad was cold, just the right portion. Don't pass up on the Sis' Breadsticks. Service was quick. This place gets busy, so bring a dose of patience if you have to wait to be seated
Alice W — Google review
Expensive pizza but still pretty good The menu is really confusing.. the entrance posters say pizza by the slice but then you ask for a slice and they say you have to buy 1/4 of a pizza which is basically 2 slices. Also the menu doesn’t say anything about buying by the slice or how much it is. A little over $10 for a “slice” felt a little steep but I’m not too familiar with prices around here. Not sure if I would get it again but it was a nice snack in the middle of the day.
Luke D — Google review
LOVED this place! I had a mountain margarita with some cheese bread to start. Then we shared pizza and spaghetti & meatballs for dinner. Everything was fantastic, & our server was super attentive and on top of it. I highly recommended Wild West pizza if you’re in West Yellowstone.

A Culinary Oasis in a Tourist Town A rare find in a bustling tourist hub, this spot offers excellent, fast service and truly delicious pizza. The Calamity Jane was a standout: a white sauce base generously topped with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, minced garlic, creamy ricotta, and fresh tomatoes. While the vibrant atmosphere is appealing, clearer separation between the sports bar and dining area would perfect the experience. Still, a highly recommended stop for exceptional pizza & friendly staff.

I am a pure vegetarian and we tried: 1. Doc holiday - which is red sauce based and i really liked it, however the salt was less. 4/5 2. Calamity Jane - white sauce based and lots of mushroom. I didn't like it much as it had strong mushroom taste but my husband liked it. 3.5/5 3. Garlic bread stick - it was good 4/5

Madison Crossing Lounge is a charming restaurant located in the heart of town, housed in a historic school building. This family-owned and operated spot offers a diverse menu featuring locally sourced food, including steak, pasta, burgers, bison tenderloin, and seafood. The lounge boasts a well-stocked bar with an extensive cocktail list, fine whiskey selection, and tap and bottled beer.
Came here for dinner after spending the day in Western Yellowstone. It's right outside the Yellowstone gate, so was very busy around dinner time. Was quoted a 45 minute, but was closer to 30 and was able to view the queue on our phone. Ordered the Trout, Halibut, Stuffed Prawns, and Pasta Special along with some drinks. Waiter recommended the Halibut instead of the local Trout and he was absolutely correct. Overall, good and service was very good.
LeWayne B — Google review
We were recommended this place on our road trip through western USA, and definitely glad we stopped by! The food was excellent, and so was the service. The flat iron was cooked perfectly- both the meat and Gouda gratin were flavourful and delicious. However, the portion of bison ribs, while delicious, was a bit mean with only a singular rib. The pudding (blueberry bread pudding) was fantastic so definitely leave room at the end. They don’t take reservations - which is a personal downside- so a wait for the table is inevitable, but otherwise a very enjoyable evening!
Jessica S — Google review
My son and I are traveling cross-country from coast to coast, and along our route to Yellowstone we discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant. The Bison filet and short ribs were phenomenal—tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared as medium rare - the way a bison meat should be carefully cooked and seared. For starters, the trout cakes were outstanding, paired with a fresh house salad. We finished with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream that was the perfect sweet ending. From beginning to end, it felt like a thoughtfully crafted four-course dining experience. A true highlight of our journey.
Daniel M — Google review
Madison Crossing Lounge was fantastic - easily the best meal we had during our stay in West Yellowstone! We made reservations ahead of time (highly recommend) and were so glad we did - there was already a line out the door before they even opened for dinner. The space is cozy and intimate, so it fills up fast. I had the pasta and it was absolutely amazing - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My boyfriend had the bison burger, which was also delicious. We also had the trout cakes as an appetizer - very tasty! Every dish was spot-on, from presentation to taste. The atmosphere, service, and food all exceeded our expectations. Definitely a must-try spot if you’re in West Yellowstone - just be sure to book a table early!
Taylor M — Google review
We arrived at 4:55 p.m. and there were already 3–4 groups ahead of us. We were seated right away when the restaurant opened at 5:00 pm. The place fills up quickly, and people started to line up waiting around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday night. Eager to try some local game, we ordered the elk steak and bison tenderloin. The elk steak was especially juicy, complemented by a flavorful mushroom wine sauce and pepper. The bison tenderloin had a coarser texture compared to beef and a more pronounced gamey flavor, especially in contrast to the elk. The accompanying vegetables were surprisingly delicious, fresh and crisp. We highly recommend everything we ordered. The chef clearly knows their craft and pays close attention to the details.
Zoe H — Google review
This lounge was so nice, we went twice! We got there right at 5pm when they opened, and we're glad we did — they fill up fast! The service was excellent. Justin was very attentive and helpful. We ordered amazing Bison Burgers, nachos, and steak. The burger was incredible — one of the best I've ever had. We also got drinks and enjoyed recapping our day in Yellowstone National Park. Overall, this was one of our top 3 favorite restaurants in our Teton/Yellowstone/Glacier 9-Day Tour!

This was one of the best meals we had on our trip to 7 national parks. West Yellowstone doesn't offer much more than burgers and fries until we found Madison Crossing Restaurant. I had the best shrimp and grits in the West. I felt like I was back in Savannah, enjoying a taste of the South. I highly recommend this Restaurant.

This is our 2nd time coming to Ernie's in 2 days on our 5 days here in West Yellowstone. It would be our 5th if we had we just came here first! Definitely the best menu, food, service and price we experienced. Yesterday was lunch, included two 20 bottle sodas, bag of chips, the Grizzly (turkey club), the Cowboy (burger) with onion rings, and 4 cookies. We couldn't finish our sandwiches, with tip under $55. Today was breakfast, 2 avocado toasts with egg and tomato, a 20 oz cappuccino, a 12 coffee, a 20 bottle of soda and 3 pain au chocolat, with tip again under $55! Keeping in mind everything is freshly made, and we bought the sweets for snacking while driving through the park! Well worth it, don't believe me, try someplace else and you'll find out the hard way.

We really enjoyed this little coffee shop in West Yellowstone. It was just a short walk from where we were staying, which made it super convenient. We stopped in on a busy Sunday morning, and while it was bustling, there were still plenty of tables to sit and enjoy our food. The coffee was excellent—rich and flavorful—and the breakfast bagels and burritos were just what we needed to start the day. There’s lots of parking right out front, and the location is great for anyone staying nearby. The staff were friendly, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming vibe. Everyone around us seemed to be loving their meals too.

Some of the chocolate beignets didn’t have chocolate. Sandwich that I ordered had 4 ingredients and they missed one ingredient out of 4. I gave 4 for service because the staff were nice and answered every question. They should better their food. I don’t know how they have 4.5 star for this place. Note: first time and Saturday August first week- so busy

We loved Ernie's! They sell boxed lunches which is a brilliant idea. At $15/box it's not cheap but they pack a lot in and aren't skimpy with the toppings so it's a decent value. We had breakfast there on our last day and it was delicious too. They have all kinds of eggs and meat but also fresh pastries.

Grant Village Dining Room is a family-friendly American eatery located in the heart of Grant Village, Yellowstone National Park. The dining room offers a breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner with panoramic views of the West Thumb Geyser Basin and Yellowstone Lake. The modern flair of the restaurant complements its rustic charm, providing diners with an unparalleled glimpse of the geothermal hotspot and North America's largest high-altitude lake.
Was pleasantly surprised by how good our meal was, and coming from the East Coast the pricing wasn't that bad. I had the trout entree and it was delicious. The view is beautiful and the drinks were great. Service did seem a little hectic but was still functional.

I ordered the Wagyu burger and asked for medium well, but got well. After I ordered, another server told another table that if they wanted medium well, they should order medium. I was not informed of that. The food was delicious, and the servers were super friendly. I enjoyed my meal but the prices were a little high also. I understand that this is a restaurant in Yellowstone Park and travelers who are driving for hours don’t have many options, and this restaurant felt a little upper class to me, so I didn’t mind. $15 for a glass of wine and $24 for burger and fries for a total of $50 with tip for one person. Overall everything was good. The glasses were a little dirty.
Bill R — Google review
(We had the breakfast buffet here as well, but just rating dinner here) We had a very pleasant dining experience here for our party of eight. They are not joking when they said that reservations are recommended for dinner. If you didn’t have a reservation, you could be waiting two hours or more for even a small party for dinner. So do yourself a favor, and make advance reservations. We were very pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the food and the presentation here. It was first class! The fried calamari was crispy, and the remoulade dip was delicious. The only downside to the calamari was that it was strips, not rings/tentacles. The smoked trout dip was great, loved the onions and capers. My Skuna Bay salmon was great, loved the kimchi cucumber on it. My companions’ chicken curry and jerked tofu were equally good. The gumbo was notably delicious. The trout, ordered by our member who had gluten issues, was done perfectly. We had the olive oil cake (absolutely delicious lemon flavor and great texture), volcano caldera cake (yummy) and ice cream (big scoops!).

Unless you bring your own food, get ready for a mediocre dining experience, morning, noon, and night. To start, if you are looking for a exquisite culinary journey, well you came to the wrong restaurant. I would take a McDonald’s hamburger any day over the so-called Wagu-burger they serve here. First, you need a reservation for dinner, and it does not matter that they had only half the tables occupied on our two nights. The reason is there is no staff to serve, cook or clean since it was the end of the season with only minimal staffing. So, this meant longer waiting times to be served, even longer waiting times for your lukewarm meal to arrive and in the case of my Wagu-burger and fries, cold. At least the hot fudge Sunday was editable and served cold. While waiting to be seated, we also made the mistake of having a cold beer in what must be the smallest bar around, 5 bar stools, and three miniature tables. To make things worse, the bartender was the worst person in the world that we have had to deal with. Rude, arrogant, with a very bad attitude, you would think he owned the beer coming out of the bar tap. This was truly a terrible dining experience but matches our two one-night stays at this location. Finally, to make things even worse, the prices you pay for such poor-quality dining and the service you receive is ridiculous to say the least. So again, bring your own food if you can, you will be much happier in the long run. However, great view of Lake Yellowstone from the balcony deck.

Cara and all the staff were awesome! So friendly, made us feel relaxed after a crazy full day at Yellowstone! Fish and chips, burger, huckleberry sipper were all amazing. Huckleberry ice cream was perfect treat at the end (not pictured, ate that too fast).

Beautiful dining room with amazing views. Very small menu. We were there in September so maybe they shortened the menu for the fall season? We had the fish and chips which were ok. Service was very slow which surprised us because the dining room was not full. Reservations were required but I bet you could show up and get a table in the shoulder season.

We had our best meal while in Yellowstone at the Grant Village dining room. Wonderful views of the lake, and the service staff were fantastic despite it being almost the end of the season and I’m sure they were burnt out. The salmon was great, and we enjoyed the ice cream sundae as well.

Nice view of the lake. In low season it's the only dinning option for dinner in Grant village as the lake restaurant Is closed and the fmgeneral store hours are very limited. We made reservations for our first night. Food was ok for inside the park but quite pricey. Second day we tried the breakfast buffet and decided we won't return for breakfast. That night upon returning to the village from a lot of day in the park, we found out the general store was closed so we tried the dining room again only this time we haven't made a reservations and they couldn't accommodate us. They suggested we return an hour later and maybe they will be able to. We decided to go to our room and make do with what we have

The Grizzly Lounge is a popular bar in Montana that serves cocktails, beer, and a variety of other beverages. The bar tender is funny and keeps making good strong drinks, which I really enjoyed.
EXCELLENT COCKTAILS EXCELLENT SERVICE My wife and I went here for an after dinner drink. They have just a few wines on the menu, but otherwise a nice beverage selection. My wife chose a Zinfandel and I chose a smoked Old Fashioned. The wine was good - the bottle had not been opened a month ago …. and the OF was really excellent. The bartender/waiter, Isaac, makes his own bitter and really puts pride into making you the best OF possible. And he succeed. Definitely a place to go for cocktails/wine - despite the fact I am not happy about the ski-inspired decor …..

We weren’t planning on going out again that night, but after a few locals insisted we stop by this place, we decided to give it a shot—and I’m so glad we did. We were told to look for Isaac, and sure enough, he was working. That man has energy, and it sets the tone for the whole place. It’s a perfect spot if you’re waiting for a table next door, or if you just want great cocktails and a lively atmosphere. Isaac knows how to make a drink and keep the night fun. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our evening in West Yellowstone. When we’re back in town, we’ll definitely return. Until then, if you’re visiting, do yourself a favor—check this place out and look for Isaac. He’ll make your night better, one cocktail at a time.

The food was excellent, and arrived promptly and hot. They serve a lot of food, so it's also easy to split plates. The menu and table were a little dirty, and there are some small things that need repairing: the hand sanitizer doesn't dispense, and the bathroom lock is broken. The staff was friendly though! I'd go back for a special occasion.

We loved this local bar! Stopped in for some appetizers and drinks and Talon took care of us. He was such a delight and recommended the wild meat chili and artichoke spinach dip which was so big we didn’t finish it. Will definitely go back when we’re in town.

We had such a great time with Isaac! Love this establishment! We come and visit as often as we can and will not pass up this lounge! Cocktails, food, and opportunity to meet great people. Please tell Isaac we said hello! Big bearded guy from N.Carolina double jamo. Thomas and Sarah

Isaac is an excellent bar tender! Cold beers and an excellent elk and bison skewer appetizer. Best food and service we had while in West Yellowstone.
