A very nice dining experience! We came to celebrate our 17 year old birthday and he left saying “that was the best meal I’ve ever had!” From the steak to the fish to the burger and meat skewers (no pork ribs unfortunately! 😢) to the sushi taco starter, everything was wonderful and we all enjoyed our food. The service was great and the atmosphere was very beautiful and classy, with a light music but nothing too loud. Desserts here and at the bakery are always fresh and don’t have too much sugar. A standout in Kampala for sure!

First: The location is close to the center of Kampala, approximately 10 minutes by car in case of traffic jams, and it is located in a lively area.. Second: The restaurant is within a beautiful complex, next to it there is a coffee and a supermarket, and it has privacy and a beautiful atmosphere, and services such as parking, security men, stunning nature and distinctive designs are available. Third: The food in the restaurant is delicious and the menu is limited. To be honest, I tried their steak and it tasted very nice, and the workers there are nice, I intend to visit again.

Very delicious food. Dry aged steaks, prawns, pasta. Good variety of wines and beears. Exiting atmosphere. Pricely, but rather good. Next to "le gourmet" shop of delicatessen. Not a problem to find a place on the parking if it's not a rush hour.

It's been a year since I last came here, and I can't say it was as wonderful as I remembered it to be. The place is slightly rundown - I mean it shows the wear and tear of age - and really could do with a refreshed decor or simply coats of paint and varnish. But don't get me wrong... It's very clean, well kept, and beautiful. The prices have always been expensive, but it's now stratospheric! $$$$$ Definitely incredibly expensive, despite the fact that about 80% of their menu is based on items sourced locally. So it's a bit of a head-scratcher. Service was extremely subpar. Despite specifically describing an allergy, and then checking with the waiter before he departed to the kitchen, the food still came without meeting our requirements. The waiter also attempted to clear away plates before we finished eating! 😅 Some very officious people (ministers, maybe) arrived at the neighboring table, and people kept joining every 5-10 minutes. So the waiter probably wanted to chase us away so he could add our table to their growing complement of people. Meanwhile, the food was very good! The chicken was a little dry, but everything else was perfect. They were running a special course on Angus and Wagyu steak... I was tempted, but the eye watering prices kept me in check! Despite asking for the coldest beer they have, I was served one that was tepid at best.

Lots of fabulous salads and cheeses at Bottomless Brunch, once a month on a Sunday. I'm sure most people were far more interested in the meat barbecue - and that was great - but it was the range of artfully arranged salads that really hit the spot for me. (Seriously overdosed on the desserts as well!) The Bottomless Brunch is a rather pricey 250,000 per head but my friend and I were celebrating our birthdays and treated ourselves to a half day eating and drinking, so no complaints! Worst service ever. Just been at the restaurant, made an order at 19:24. Dinner for two, ordered for a pork meal , a coke and tea… We had to plead for the waitress to bring the tea and the bread(which is usually served at first sit). 1 hour and 30 minutes later she come by, to Mbu to apologize for the day and 30 minutes later after we complain they have the guts to say they will pay for the drinks we had had…. Social degrading, ohhh you have to look a certain way to be served here… The most annoying part is that the tables next us kept getting what ever they ordered in minutes. While we sat and carried our hands… Btw you should all be ashamed of yourselves… and the manager all acting rose… we came there because we were sure we could pay our bills… we dnt come for free drinks? Cole and black tea) as if…. It’s so sad that fellow Ugandans are acting like this…. You dnt even have to put stars in your site..:. You guys are trash for real.

I Love places that keep changing and evolving for the better. I like that everytime I visit the Lawns they have some new architectural finishings or changes in setup ☺️☺️ Maybe it's because I take a while without visiting. Anyway Lawns remains consistent on its flavourful meals, we were there for a birthday dinner and no one complained about their food taste, even if the food coming to the table took a bit of sometime. Amazing ambience, great fine dinning experience, great location. I definetly recommend for any group dinners.

The ambience was great, it would make a great place to host functions. The service was great, the waiter Ernest took his time to politely explain to us what was on the menu and his recommendations. The game meat was good, of all I would recommend Sitatunga (it was tasty, familiar taste to me), the vegetables and wedges were done well. The spices were on point. Just add some light music to make the place a bit lively

The food was absolutely amazing! We had curry mutton (which tasted out of this world) and Texas burgers, as well as Sundae and ice cream for dessert, everything tasted quite delicious and the ingredients were so fresh. Our waiter (I forgot to ask for his name) was very nice and extremely polite. The whole experience was so good honestly that I regret not discovering this gem of a place before. Bonus info: the atmosphere is very nice, we sat on the terrace and had the amazing views of the golf course below. Thank you 😊

This is an edited review after another visit. Again it's a great place. Great view, good food. I have to commend the staff as they made sure that we were attended to all the time. The food was great. Everyone enjoyed every meal. Nothing was left of the plates. I can't fault them on anything

Good place for an evening dinner, the food and service were good.

We called in for reservations on a chilly Sunday evening about 9:40 because the kitchen closes at 10.30 , when we got there it wasn’t too busy and we got sat immediately sent in our orders and we actually got quick service because the food arrived in less than 20 minutes, We ordered sizzling crocodile for starters and the the game platters with buffalo meat and some other local meats . The meat was really good 7/10 . The atmosphere is perfect lots of space and trees and greenery we shall definitely come back again

Good place in central Kampala. The staff is polite. Vibe is an authentic Indian. Food is close to original but less spicy than in India. Some problems with alcoholic cocktails, far from the recipe (tried whiskey sour). Many flees.

I am not a big lover of Indian food, but was still every excited to give Khana Khazana a try - any restaurant with the word Treasure (Khazana) must be good, right? The restaurant is decorated in a Northern Indian style and they specialize in Tandoori based dishes. Their menu is vast so it was a bit difficult for me to choose something, however with some help from the waiter I ended up getting something I really enjoyed. They seem to also be very popular with the locals as the restaurant was quite full, which is always a good sign. If you enjoy Indian food, this is a must-visit.

The food at Khana Khazana was good with authentic flavors. The chicken quality was satisfactory, and the mutton was tender, providing a balanced mix of quality and taste. It is a recommended place to have Indian food in Kampala. The only drawback is that they close relatively early, at 10 PM. Located at the center of Kampala

My friends and I decided to try out a local Thai restaurant for lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. What made the experience even more special was the personal touch from the chef. After our meal, the Thai chef came out to greet us and ask how we enjoyed the food. He introduced himself and shared a bit about his background, including his impressive 8-year stint working in Dubai before moving to Uganda. His humility and friendliness made a lasting impression on us. It's not every day that you meet a chef who not only prepares your meal but also takes the time to ensure you enjoyed it. Overall, the combination of authentic Thai flavors and the warm, personal service made our lunch a memorable one.

It had been a couple of years since I was at Tamarai. Very quiet and lovely spot. The service was really fast and the food portions were generous and very filling too. We ordered drunken noodles, dim sum, potato wedges, chicken wings and sushi. The cocktails were spot on too- had a pinacolada and a strawberry daiquiri. The bartender was quite generous with the alcohol.

I enjoyed the visit!! We hosted a birthday party, the staff was very kind and helpful. Our waiter Lenin stayed close by to attend to us, the chef came to personally see to our meals being served and they were a variety and very delicious. I had the drunken noodles with prawns. I was told beforehand that they are cooked with whiskey. I also took some take out. It was lovely food. Will definitely go again

It's a beautiful place with a calm atmosphere. It has both outdoor and indoor seating and two sections. The upper section is mostly for people who enjoy shish and smokers. I had a good solo date, the food was OK. I ordered pork ribs which come with stir fry vegetable sauce and a side of fried rice. The sauce was abit too oily but the rest of the food was ok. I paired my meal up with a beer which was refreshing. The service was abit slow but they were nice.

Tried the chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodle, definitely preferred the latter. The pad that was a bit too dry for me but that may just be my preference and limited knowledge of North American pad Thai. 5/5 for drunken noodle 3.5/5 for the pad Thai Ambiance was nice and setting was very nice too, bonus thanks for the staff for the cool Birthday swag and singing 5/5

The Bistro is a very good restaurant with good food, good atmosphere and good service. The menu is ample, with a variety of selections including pork dishes. They also have weekly specials that are not included in the menu. We chose to sit inside because we thought it would be cooler, but it was not. There weren’t using the A/C so it was unpleasantly hot.

There's a nice vintage feel to the place. A space that creates a relaxing ambience. If you are looking for a space to hold a private meeting, read a book or for a bit of privacy then I highly recommend it. They have a band once a week but it doesn't turn into the bar hype. For seating there are three options; outdoor, dinning setting and sofas for a more casual informal vibe. They have a good breakfast variety that comes with tea/coffee and juice and amazing cocktails for the evening

Very friendly waiters. the space especially the inside is just ... spectacular ✨️. The food is okay. It doesnt have much that sets it apart from its neighbors. They have a vegetarian sharing platter that i would highy recommend. The house wine was great too (ordered red).

What was once one of the top restaurants in town has continued to suffer a steady decline. On our latest visit we played ping pong with our waiter as he reported our chosen dishes were unavailable. The only thing worse was having a dish which clearly lacked its stated ingredients. Mushrooms with feta and oregano without the feta and barely any mushrooms is just a baked tomato and onion sauce. The waiters were more interested with watching the football at the bar leaving us unable to get a second drink despite wanting one. For those who enjoy a cigarette or sisha with their meals this is definitely the place to go as both outlawed activities are permissible here. One can only hope that after the pandemic the regular chef will return to restore standards to what they once were.

The restaurant is clean. Well spaced out tables. The person who served us seemed to be new. He made several mistakes, giving us wrong bill twice. Also, food was very late, two people got their food and I had to wait 15 minutes to get my food. Food must be served at the same time. The waiter also forgot our chapati which came way late when we had finished our meal. Most things on the menu weren’t available. The food was really really nice though. They just need to work on their Service. The restaurant needs to invest in liquid soap. Having a bar of soap which had turned black for everyone to use to wash their hands isn’t hygienic at all.

Very good place for local Ugandan food. It is a quiet oasis in the bustling city of Kampala. Very central location, near many commercial areas. They have a delicious fruit juice cocktail.

One of the best restaurant in town that offer authentic local Ugandan food. I enjoyed being in this place. Nice ambiance and plenty of space. They have very nice local lunch and other meals. The luwombo (meat slow cooked in Banana leaves) they make is delicious and it contains enough meat to satisfy your appetite. Evenings are mostly busy. I had a nice experience. If they could be faster in preparing the meal on oder, it would be better. Too long waiting for food is boring.

St. Anthony's location is ideal for a quick lunch meeting during work hours. The menu is extensive of all local fishes from central Uganda. The quantities are worth the amount and I can categorise the food as in the "healthy" range as it's mostly boiled and steamed food. Highly recommend!

I visited on Saturday evening. Unlike other restaurants still opened at around same time, Shaka Zulu had local foods. All meals have a flat rate of 20K and comes with juice. The food quality and quantity is worth the money. The staff are smart and curteous. I like the Zulu themed design of the place. It really feels like one is in South Africa. What I found really interested was the bell on the dining table for one to ring to call the waitress. The place is also children friendly. There are specific chairs for babies. I like it also that one can pay using Visa Card or Mobile Money. If you want healthy local foods, Shaka Zulu is the place.

Best restaurant in Kampala!!! And maybe one of my favorite restaurants EVER. The atmosphere here is incredible and just can’t be topped. The live music made our evening. The cocktails were delicious and we LOVED our meal! Already planning to come back next week we loved it so much.

I had the privilege to explore the majority of the menu over the course of an extended business stay in Kampala and will say that this restaurant and the attached Villa Kololo is by far the best experience I have had in town. The team there understands their menu and always deliver a top shelf meal, the bar staff is fantastic at delivering well crafted cocktails, and the wait staff is attentive without being intrusive. Hands down the best dining experience in the city.

My second trip in one week to Kampala's best Italian restaurant. The bread was not the best quality, whilst the prawn cocktail, carpaccio and smoked salmon were 3.5/5, however the pizza and pasta were on point. The service is exceptional as is the restaurant vibe with it getting full quickly. In addition they have a singer with a guitar that lightens the mood. Great value for money and will frequent without hesitation should I return to Kampala.

A friend recommended me to visit the Mediterraneo Restaurant in Kololo, Kampala and it didn’t dissappoint. The food, the atmosphere and the look was just perfect. It was a Saturday night and we hadn’t booked and we managed to get a table. The Italian food was perfect. The pasta dishes are to die for all freshly made, and the wine was the best I’ve tasted in Kampala. If you like good food, you will like this place.

This is a must if you are in Kampala. Quickly became an all time favourite restaurant and dining experience. Unique atmosphere, amazing service and the food is incredible. I feel extremely lucky to have experienced Mediterraneo and Uganda.

The experience was below expectations. The food portions were very small, especially the chips which were tiny. The cake plates looked very old and the designs honestly seemed to have no effort put into them. On top of that, we waited an hour for our food. I’ll excuse the delay only because the pork ribs were good.

Food: reasonably priced, fresh-tasting portions generally. The only thing I had a complaint about was the grilled salmon which was dryer than cardboard. Absolutely recommend the bakery cakes and very authentic tasting Moroccan cookies which stayed fresh for over a week in my refrigerator. I even froze some cakes for 8 hour travel and they still stayed moist and tasty! Its a pity that Service is hit or miss depending on the individual staff or the time of day...you will get your food eventually...as is the norm in Kampala. Big thanks to the wait staff who attend to you politely with a smile.

I’ve been to a Cafesserie in Mombasa before, and this one looks identical. Here too: excellent menu, attentive service. Probably one of the best Western-oriented spots in town. My chicken shawarma was outstanding.

The grilled chicken breast with veggies is honestly the best I’ve ever had — piping hot, juicy, and somehow not dry (a miracle for chicken breast). The coffee is spot on too. But the real shocker? The service. I’m from the West where you’re lucky if the waiter cracks a smile, but here they’ll move your laptop and drinks for you if you want to change tables, and there are staff cleaning the bathrooms literally every minute. In London the bathrooms look like a crime scene — here, someone even opens the door for you. 10/10, highly recommend.”

I first ordered a flat white, but unfortunately the coffee was literally burned. I switched to a cappuccino, which was much better. The croissant was tasty, though it had a lot of chocolate and not the best quality but still enjoyable overall. It’s a nice area for working, cozy and relaxed.

I've so far only tried their ice cream and I must say it's creamy,milky and sweet.Their flavors are interesting and the wait staff are very polite.I sat outside and I got a pretty nice view of Acaccia mall while I had my cream and cookies ice cream.You must check it out.

I am always up for going to Yujo. Please note that it's on the higher side in terms of costs but so worth it!! From the bento box to the sauces, I always look forward to my next visit. Do not forget to try their Tiramisu version. It's a must-have. Side note: Ask if the noodles are cold or hot. My dinner partner was surprised about them coming cold. Also, reservations are better. Depending on the day, there is a small wait for a seat.

Ambiance was great however didn't get to experience most of it cause of the weather. The fries and wine were great. My steak however tasted too rare instead of medium rare which I didn't enjoy and the service was slow: it took too long for someone to bring me the menu after I was seated. Overall it's a nice gem, would love to go back and try the Japanese cuisine.

Our favorite restaurant in Kampala! Yujo is high-quality, expertly crafted, incredible food. We have tried several dishes and none have disappointed at all. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a laid-back feel to it, but is great for a delicious lunch or nice date night out. I can’t say enough good things about it!

Very cozy place under the trees with tasty coffee. A single iced coffee was 10.000 UGX and I actually liked it a bit better than in Cafe Javas.

Just 100 meters from Acacia Mall, there’s this small café tucked among the trees. I tried my first bacon Rolex in Uganda – surprisingly good – along with an excellent coffee. The Wi-Fi is fast, and the service is attentive.

The atmosphere is okay. The trees make it a nice place to be in. However, I didn't have a very good experience with the service. I made an order which wasn't brought and yet it appeared on the bill. This was probably human error, but it could be better. The food was also okay.

The second star is only because my first visit was ok but the second time service was very slow, food was not great, and the whole family got sick after eating. We ordered a cheese sandwich for the kids and got a Nutella sandwich instead. The fish was ok but not great. Chicken was hard and dry. The burger was the best but mushy. We all shared each other's food so I can't say which got us sick.

Super slow and sluggish service (waited 30 minutes for drinks and 45 minutes for food). Food mediocre (fries cold, burgers soggy from waiting to be served in the kitchen?). Half of the drink options on the menu were missing. Not impressed at all, considering the price of things.

Very bad customer service at Kisementi branch. Order comes missing items and when returned , they request the client to pay for it in full. I do not recommend to eat there at all! Other food also tasted quite bad. I have been going there for more than 4 years however their quality dropped massively. Not recommended.

Delicious coffee and dishes, but they offer less salads, fruits and fried potatoes with main sandwiches than before. The service is quite good, and the atmosphere is really nice with wooden furniture. You can visit here for some coffee or tea with your friends!

I have always wanted to go check out Piato and when I finally got there, i was impressed. It is a beautiful green restaurant tucked away in the city. The trees and greenery added to its ambiance. I loved the outlook. The food was good too. The wet fry chicken I had was busting with flavor. The passion and mint cocktail was great too. My friend loved her cobb salad and berry drink. (I forgot the drink names 😅) Overall, i loved Piato and will definitely go back there. On Wednesdays they have a buffet as well s if that's your vibe, you will like it. The prices are average so there is something for everyone.

A nice quiet cozy place in the middle of town. The food was really nice n quantities good. The oy problem is either the waiters are too slow or few and overwhelmed. The food took some time to come and picking the bill was a tag of war. We had to go look for a waiter to have our bill cleared. Other than that, the food was good.

One of the most famous resto in Kampala I guess. Actually I went there for events, but their buffet is totally worth it. Love the mango juice and fish stick! Will try other menu later

This place can go from being good to absolutely a place you regret going to. The management doesn't know how to say No to too many events . If the place is set to cater for an event, they should plan accordingly. I hosted an event for 4 pm, which due to overbooking, starters didn’t show up until 6:45. The event that cost around 2.7 M didn’t even look festive.

It is a good high end restaurant offering conference facilities, delicious meals, in a clean place with a good ambience. The services are fast and great. I have been here for meals at a different occasions but have never left disappointed. I attended a birthday party and it was really awesome here.

A nice coffee shop on one of the congested streets of Kampala. Conveniently located on the top floor of a shopping building. They make delicious espresso. While drinking a cup of coffee, you can watch the bustle of the busy street from the balcony of the cafe.

This place pops up when you are looking for a coffee place in Kampala. So I had some expectations however it was really disappointing. The balcony is along a really busy road so it's quite noisy. There are no plants or anything to make the atmosphere more comfortable. There is no menu to see the coffee specialities and prices. They don't serve snacks with it. The muffin I had was not fresh. There are no options for non dairy milk. And the coffee was as good/bad as at any other place. So for it is not worth there to go there compared to any other place.

This used to be my favorite coffee roaster in Kampala but clear disinvestment over the last few years have left an unremarkable cafe experience with inconsistent quality coffee.

I love their pizza, thin crust, all good. However, their customer service is very unprofessional, I called in to place an order and when the gentleman couldn’t hear clearly, he got angry and hung up. You better improve or else competition will beat you at it.

It's a nice place to grab your breakfast. Service sometimes becomes slow but only on busy days. One messed up order isn't worth downplaying all the other times when they kept up to the standard. So I would definitely recommend it. I only go for breakfast because that means I know how much I have to carry and not worry about miscalculated expenses. The meal is also good and filling.

The fries were actually delicious, so we didn't mind at all. Our server immediately offered to change it, but we were happy with what we received. What happened next was truly impressive - after a few minutes, they brought out the rice we originally ordered free of charge, acknowledging their mistake and ensuring we got exactly what we wanted. CJs never disappoints on all avenues. I just realized this is the first time am giving full 5 stars for everything. I Love how you can have a meal in under 1 hour, a proper meal with no delays and with amazing Taste. One of the most consistent restaurants you will ever eat at. A must try for anyone visiting Uganda for Sure. Other restaurants make us look bad 😔😞 with the slow service and all.

This place has a nice atmosphere and many food and drink options. I have traveled to many places in Africa and Cafe Javas has come close to satisfying my appetite for American food. The staff were welcoming and very on top when it comes to service. I had the chicken tenders and french fries my friend had baked chicken. The chicken tenders and fries was ok but taste better with a little assistance from the dipping sauce. My friend loved the baked chicken. I also had the Blue Lagoon drink wich was very good, it reminded me of a refresher from Starbucks but not as sweet and much smoother on the palate. They also have a selection of bakery treats that I will have to try next time, but they looked delicious.

This place is an absolute disaster. The so-called “supervisors” are outright rude and unprofessional. What we ordered is not even close to what we got .we ordered for roasted fish they brought deep fried fish and instead of bringing meat they packed the plate with plantain we didnt ask for . — and for the ridiculous prices they charge, it’s nothing but daylight robbery. Complete waste of money. Never stepping foot here again, and I’ll warn everyone I know to stay far away from this joke of a place. It is cool place, organized and spacious with a variety of delicious eats and drinks moreover at relatively low prices. Have you ever made an order and it takes ages that you have to stand up and look for the waiter? This place is totally different. These gents and ladies check on you almost every 3 minutes to ensure you are not complaining. Looking for Band night in Kampala on a Thursday night. Torino is the place to be. Janzi band performs there from 8pm to almost 12 midnight I would advise you go early, By the time we went at 9pm, the whole place was Too crowded for my liking and the empty tables were reserved because Kampala revellers love bandnights,💯💯 Loved the band performance itself ofcourse, always a vibe watching music played on instruments. ☺️☺️ Didn't eat and only drunk but majority of the people were having dinner and from where I was seated, the food looked yummy, lol anyway I will update the food review next time I visit.

Spectrum has the most delicious buffet, with a wide range of options to choose from. They have traditional dishes mixed in with Indian dishes. It's too good to be true. The staff is friendly and efficient, the price for the buffet is a very good deal for lovers of Indian cuisine like myself. I am actually headed there this evening... Its the one thing I've been excited about all week!!!

This place is not for the peasants, food is not quite cheap, however, you get value for money. Only pass by if you can afford. There is enough parking for your vehicle but it's not perfectly designed for people with disabilities. There's need to work on this. It's a cozy place. I came with the booking. They said no room available. They asked me to go to another hotel. After the trip.com and the agent discussed, the hotel accepted cancel the booking while trip.com booked other hotel compensated. I was on a transit journey to Kenya and the proximity of Namayiba Park Hotel to a variety of shops, restaurants and the bus terminals was a time saver. It offers a budget friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay, unfortunately I didn't get the time to sample all that.

This place is reasonably priced and relaxing. The staff are all cheerful and friendly, which is great. This restaurant has recently changed its name to Fazz3, the same name as the restaurant near Entebbe Airport. They were just changing the signboard today.

Good restaurant not far from Craft market. Steaks are great. Try chilly naan, it's gorgeous. Many small private zones in the restaurant. They even have smoking zone. Many expats during lunch hours. Parking for some 20 cars.Could recommend if you are a fan of steaks or Indian cuisine.

The place is ok. The staff could be more attentive for example they told me to take a seat and then didn't even bring me a menu. The food is ok, but expensive 32k+ for a curry WITHOUT rice, while most places I have been to a curry with rice is around 32-36k the plain basmati rice in a small bowl is 10k kumbuchari which is basically diced tomatoes and onions in a small dish 10k soda at 4k small water 4k this isn't worth it and I doubt I will ever be back. I have had better, cheaper elsewhere.

Ordered a burrito, my wife ordered enchiladas. Everything was very delicious. It was made fresh and took a reasonable amount of time to prepare. The quantity was very good. I was able to finish mine but was quite full, my wife only finished 2 of her 3 enchiladas, but enjoyed them very much. Service was perfect, she checked on us several times, but not too much. She was polite and friendly.

Delicious authentic Mexican food lovingly prepared by a Ugandan chef and owner. Hidden gem. Nachos ans guacamole to die for! Can recommend the soft tacos and the burritos, although I'm sure everything is delicious. Vegan friendly.

Sadly this place isn't good. The place is ok in terms of atmosphere. But the food is not good. Firstly was told no juice so the whole juice menu was off, this was lunchtime, they eventually managed to make one juice. Ordered food, enchiladas was mostly empty, just cheese on top and alittle meat inside mostly hollow. The sides for the enchiladas was extremely tiny, and if you compare them to the other meal which had decent sized sides although even then chips was a little small. But the extremely small sides for the enchiladas which I have seen bigger portion sizes for kids meals, made the meal not worth the money and I left the place hungry and disappointed. Also the other meal was supposed to have guacamole instead a few slices of avocado. The whole experience was bad. Please close down and let other mexican restaurants sell good food.

Fantastic food! Nachos and enchiladas were fresh and tasty. They deserve to have more customers, definitely one of Kampala’s hidden gems!

Surprisingly decent mexican food considering how far we are from Mexico. The nachos were my fave, so exciting to find fresh made corn tortilla chips in Kampala.

Generally speaking, when you're looking for decent mexican food outside of Mexico or the southern US you're out of luck. Cooktoria is one of the rare places that actually delivers. Burritos, chimichangas, even the taco salad are all excellent. The food is well seasoned, the service is prompt, and the prices are good. This is my go-to restaurant when I'm missing home. Will be visiting over and over again.

From what was a good pizzeria a few months ago, has unfortunately become a poor tasty place for pizza. Is the management's change responsible ? I can't answer, only the waiter apologized about the poor quality of the pizza served. I will not anymore recommend, pity.

A beautiful restaurant at the heart of Kisementi and next to Accacia Mall. They do have a good selection of Italian cuisine including pizza as the name suggests. The waiters are usually friendly and you can also get both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The main challenge is that they have a small parking space with only space for a maximum of 3 cars forcing one to park within Acacia Mall and walk to the place.

The aesthetic in here was so nice. The restaurant was well decorated. The food was good though the service could be better. We had a sushi rolls, some sparkling wine, some dumplings, which were all good. But the service really needs to be improved upon it wasn’t fast and prompt was a little distracted with other tables.

This was my first time to visit Hiro in Kampala. It was a Sunday evening and I thought it would be reasonably quiet, but it was fairly busy with a steady flow of people all evening. The staff were welcoming and pleasant and eager to please. I ordered the tempura prawns and the black cod as a main course. Everything was presented very well and looked amazing on the plate. The taste of my food was excellent although the sauce over my cod was a little too salty for me, apart from that everything was first class. The selection of drinks were good along with a good selection of cocktails. This restuarant is an ideal option if you want a really special night out.

My experience at Hiro Restaurant was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, the warm, modern ambiance with sleek wooden decor and soft lighting set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening. The menu is wide with a lot of interesting Japanese names that I had to call a waiter called Usamah to help out with the food selection. He was the most pateient of humans I have met while answering our endless questions. He recommended I try Niki Shoga -Yaki which was done to perfection. Our server was incredibly attentive, offering thoughtful sake pairing suggestions that elevated the meal. The attention to detail, from the beautifully plated dishes to the friendly staff, made it feel like a fine-dining experience without pretension. Highly recommend the salads with chicken breast for healthy options and their signature sushi boxes! I can’t wait to return to Hiro for another incredible meal. 📸 Bonus: Photogenic

The place looks very good, I give them a 10 for that, the tables are abit squeezed, I guess they tried so hard to accommodate many people which limits privacy. We reached the place, so excited… we were ushered in well and the first disappointment was the menu taking over 15 minutes; we had to call a waiter to give us one, that was really not nice. The food took sometime, but finally came. It was tasty, score: 7/10. We ordered a Konichiwa and Yoga for drinks,then Chicken katsu bento & Pork teriyaki bento. The service was really slow..desert, clearing our table after eating, getting the bill, all took ages😔 Then the space demarcated for smoking is so close to the eating area. Someone was smoking and the whole restaurant was full of smoke, this is something that needs to be revisited by management. Limited parking space, better to come with a driver to drop you off then come back. Thanks.

Environment is ok can see the boss put much money in it but why use fake plants it makes the place looks cheap. Then the price is so high totally not worth. Service somehow is ok. Food is really not recommended, upon all Japanese restaurants I went this one flavor is at bottom I assure that.

Visited for a friend's Birthday dinner, fine dining experience. Very quiet and great for conversation, great ambience, we had a reservation and so had a waiter waiting on our table the whole time who did well with recommendations on the drinks and Food. Loved the 🍸, I had the Yoga mocktail, just because it was called that 😀 and it was so rich and naturally sweet and refreshing, the rest of the drinks looked amazing too and everyone enjoyed what they had. Cocktails are well priced at around 25,000 to 35,000 however didn't appreciate the local beer price, 😐. Anyway, we had a great dinner as it wasn't crowded at all, we sat downstairs, but there'ss a whole upstairs seating that I forgot to go check out, 😩. Many people had the pork ribs and the salad wasn't fresh from my neighbour 😩 I however I tried the Yakisoba pan fried ramen 🍜 noodles, which were tasty and very filling. Ohh Loved the take away package as well, very eco-friendly and beautiful, no plastic. I hope more restaurants in Uganda can adopt this like they do in Kenya.

What a romantic scene! Mediterraneo Villa offers a unique love arena, a perfect gift you can give to someone. The aura is amazing. It's rose and hearts everywhere. Songs of love fill the air in all the corridors of this place. Extreme customer care offered by every staff member onsite. The service is express and food is on point, although your pocket must be pretty loaded. All sorts, including Italian menu, are available.Good parking available, wheel chair accessible and can allow pets. The drinks are a variety from cocktails to water, beers, and shakes. Come have a perfect time!

My second trip in one week to Kampala's best Italian restaurant. The bread was not the best quality, whilst the prawn cocktail, carpaccio and smoked salmon were 3.5/5, however the pizza and pasta were on point. The service is exceptional as is the restaurant vibe with it getting full quickly. In addition they have a singer with a guitar that lightens the mood. Great value for money and will frequent without hesitation should I return to Kampala.

I had the privilege to explore the majority of the menu over the course of an extended business stay in Kampala and will say that this restaurant and the attached Villa Kololo is by far the best experience I have had in town. The team there understands their menu and always deliver a top shelf meal, the bar staff is fantastic at delivering well crafted cocktails, and the wait staff is attentive without being intrusive. Hands down the best dining experience in the city.

I had a very disappointing experience. Despite being a regular customer, I felt cheated during my last visit. I ordered an iced coffee, which was listed at 7,500 on the menu, but the cashier charged me 11,000. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they claimed the menu price was a mistake and refused to refund the difference.

Cafe Pap at Shell Ntinda has a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for meetings, reading and work catch-ups. I loved the meal I had here - Grilled Tilapia with Fries. It was delicious 🤤 and I also loved the aesthetic coffee set where the African Coffee is served. I highly recommend this cute place for stopovers, lunch time meetings & readers who love to get lost in books.

Very disappointed, the service was lazy and terrible, I ordered a chicken pie and a cold water, took ten mins to bring out and the waitress proceeded to open the water I ordered which was warm yet I asked for cold water, the glass they gave me to put my water in was disgusting with someone else's lip prints still on the glass, when I complained and asked the waitress if she would drink out of this glass she said no and smiled then I was I was given a dirty look, when the bill came I was charged 18,500 when I queried I was told I was charged 11,500 for the pie and 3,500 for a bottle of water (you can get way better pies at savers for half the price) and 3,500 for each water two waters because one was opened by staff at the table (the warm one), I refused to pay for that and insisted that my bill be recalculated, I paid my bill of 15,500. I was served by Joyce who could have cared less, when I asked to see the manager Mr Rastus he also could have cared less, I told them I was unhappy with the service and attitude and that I would review this "restaurant" on Google, he said ho right ahead I'm looking forward to it, I hope the owner reads Google reviews on his or her restaurant, as for everyone else check your bills at this place. NOT A RESTAURANT I WOULD RECOMMEND. Total rip off and shady service.

The food is delicious, the location ideal and the vibe feel at home. But the service needs to be improved. You can't expect a single server to handle all those tables. We had to wait for quite a while to get the attention of the server.

Fasika restaurant in Kampala is a great place to enjoy delicious Ethiopian food. The food at Fasika is great, with a rich and flavorful taste that is sure to satisfy. Waited an hr for drinks, staff was polite but the wait was too looooong. They didn't take our food order... I can only imagine how long that would have taken. Honestly the place is also jot very hygienic but hopefully the good is worth it...

This is a small place. We arrived at 8pm and it seemed more like a bar. We were the only ones eating. We ordered Doro, tibs, shiro. It was good. Service was mostly good.

I go here whenever I am in kampala. been here about 6 or 7 times since 2017. They now play the music too loud and it doesn't really fit with the interior (which could be nice and peaceful). ordered the tibs. the meat was hard, fatty and chewy. I was charged 30K, but it should've been 20k, i asked about it and rechecked the menu. The waitress just kept saying 'shika tibs', there is nothing like that on the menu, nor is there any tibs for 30K and its not what I ordered. I felt scammed, just walked out and won't be back. its gotten worse the last few years.

We had chilli cheese fries with Lemonade, they were really tasty and the prices are affordable. The staff were friendly, the ambiance is really good as well because it was a bit quiet so we were able to hear each other speak. Sorry I didn't take photos of the food but here's one of my sister and I with wide smiles because we enjoyed our time hear.

The food is very good. Tortillas are homemade and fresh. It's a fun blend of local Kampala with a Mexican feel. For the amount of food you get the prices are very fair.

Best Mexican food in Uganda. We’ve eaten here several times and continue to return or order from Jumia every time we make it to Kampala. The corn tortillas are the best around, homemade, which makes wonderful corn chips. I wish they would expand to Mbarara! The only thing I wish they had was authentic spicy salsa. I know most Ugandans don’t prefer such spicy things but many expats do! The place is small but feels like any good Mexican restaurant you’d find in the US. Parking is very limited.

Almost all items are available, a bit pricey. Nice place to shop.

If you want to buy something there, check the price tag carefully. when you pay, you will pay a higher price than the price tag. If you complain about why this is happening, they will make excuses that the person in charge is late for work and hasn't changed the price list yet. Look at photo. They told me this is 20,000 ugx. I have experienced this many times.

This is one of the most active supermarkets around. It's not set to that standard of a specific group of consumers but welcomes every one. Just to add on, the Dance pictures in the background is such a good place to nature a talent

I do like to visit this place. You can find most of what you need at reasonable prices, there is parking (avoid peak hours though), the staff can be helpful and non-evasive. However, I am yet to find a public toilet in this area

We've been for dinner and ordered delivery. The Coconut Shack did not disappoint – in fact we strongly recommend it's authentic Indian food, prompt service and unique decor. And the guy brining the delivery came quickly with food piping hot. Pleasantly surprised by the Coconut Shack.

The biggest disappointment was that, even though they have two big signs saying "Visa and MasterCard are welcome", the waitress said they were not using a Visa machine any longer. The waitress also didn't wear a mask. The restaurant looks understaffed, the waitress was absent for long periods of time, which wasn't practical when I needed something. The food was OK, although not exquisite. The mushroom soup was nice, the gravy of the chicken was delicious, and I enjoyed the complimentary salad.

Food which has been consistently good for 20 years or so! They do probably need to upgrade their kitchen facilities, but they produce great tasting meals despite it! Shame that they're on such a busy road, but it kind of adds to their charm.

It's a hole in the wall place, but the steaks are amazing! Try the garlic butter fillet or the steak Diane. They also serve excellent French Onion Soup. In terms of quality of food for the money, it is one of the best restaurants I've found in Kampala.

Just Amazing. This is one of the oldest restaurants around Kansanga. I decided to go have lunch after 12 years and i was amazed how great their service, food and price were! I would definitely recommend anyone who wants good quality steak at a relatively cheap price!

Probably the best French cuisine I've eaten anywhere in the world including France at a very affordable price. The steaks are really tender but my favourite is their salad. The salad dressing is absolutely the best.

Great hide out, fast and friendly staff and an array of West African cuisine. Fresh fish stewed in okra and a fist of selomnela would be a great idea for the adventurous food lovers.

Great garden. The washrooms could be better. There's little variety of non alcoholic drinks. Once a month there's this amazing band that plays music from the yester years. The band, Ziwuuna, is just awesome. They play classic only: country music, zouk, timeless local music and jazz. I would rate the band 5 star.

Oh they have very good Western Dishes, the atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable and i love the fact that it's out of the city center and less crowded....it's really a nice place with a touch of African culture....

Came across to me as a Ghanaian restaurant but it happened to be Nigerian owned. Food is nitvcoojed by West Africans so it doesn't taste the same as u expected. It's quite expensive too

They have nice food boiled and fried, A well cooked and delicious katogo in the morning from 7:00 to 830 and lunch is served from midday to 4. The environment is condusive with spacious separate rooms. They have a spacious parking accesseble from kanjokya street after wildlife head offices as you slop down and they also have another parking on prince Charles drive and this one specially for those who want self service buffet and other foods. They local dishes and fresh juice and if your from ntinda they have another branch in bukoto opposite kirabo complex and this branch has a parking and washing bay plus dry-cleaning services.

The food is good. My only problem was that it takes quite sometime to get ready and if you go late like at around 3 or even 2 most of what you may want is done so you're limited to some foods.

I visited with my partner and we had such a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone looking for a fine dining experience. Today brought my 2 boys after IMC Kololo who were starving having spent hours receiving treatment. The hostess who ushered us was really nice but that was it. The food they brought for my toddler was salt-less/tasteless. He rejected it right away yet he's not picky. The fries were too plain and they had no Ketchup! Really! The sizzling pork was a joke. Then the spoons my!!!! Like they use them to scoop coal. Then serving using the back area was a turn off. I give you a 2.

The sizzling beef was extremely bland. It's as if they even forgot to add salt . It did not come 'sizzling' (rather tasted like boiled meat) as even though there were only 3 other people on the restaurant (I now understand why) they 'didn't have' dishes . The hot and sour was fried gobules of chicken skin and bone made from road runner chicken with hardly no meat. The hot pot fish was full of vegetables and fish bone with literally no meat. Quite a punch at 98k! The noodles were a bland spaghetti flavored with an egg. And obviously the rice came way after the main dishes.... I will not go back

The food took long to be served. It was very delicious though, so I guess it was worth the wait. 😋 5/5 However, The waitress took about 15 minutes to inform us that one of the dishes on the menu wasn't available which I would assume could have been done sooner. Other than that, the service was okay. I'd probably call ahead to order on my way next time.

I like the food in this place, it's excellent, but I recently ordered through Glovo, and they only delivered six fried dumplings instead of 12 as the menu says, but it was good the rest of the food.

It’s still a surprise that I had never been to The Hickory until this weekend and guess what, my expectations were truly surpassed! The food was AMAZING 100/100, the service was exceptional! The music was just right and the atmosphere was superb. I’m definitely returning here to enjoy the other food options.

With Small but secure parking space, street parking is also allowed and secure.

Food was great and the ambience...but the French fries weren't the best this time round I don't know why because I remember Hickory had good fries last time I was there but this time oh my. There was one great waiter called Brian he gave us really good service.

Great place overally: Parking is a bit small and on a day that is full might be a problem. Service was Stellar, just as my waitresse's name. Garnish was very fresh and the lemons were crisp!!! Portions were a bit on the small side though for the price point. I ordered the Pork ribs and they were to my satisfaction but a bit on the cold side. I didn't mind though. I was in the restaurant side of the venue and music from the bar side was a bit loud. But overally it was a good experience. Would recommend if the budget allows.
