Important - guided tours are only Thursdays to Sundays! Spectacular estate. The visitor center and distillery building is a work of art. It has a loving roof and blends seamlessly into the country side. Inside, you will find a visitor center that looks like a high end museum. I am going to recommend you visit the Macallan distillery even if you don’t like drinking whiskey!

As a long-time fan of Macallan, visiting the distillery in Scotland was high on my list—and it didn’t disappoint. To make the most of it, I pre-booked the six-course lunch (£60 per person), and I’d highly recommend adding the whisky pairing for an additional £50. The pairing elevated the entire experience and offered a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each dram. The dining area is intimate, with only about a dozen tables and a large open kitchen where you can see a dedicated team at work. The food was not only beautifully presented but also creatively prepared, offering unique flavors that complemented the whiskies perfectly. Following lunch, we joined the 3-hour distillery tour (£80 per person), which was incredibly well done. It was an immersive experience showcasing Macallan’s rich history, from rare vintage bottles to the latest innovations in their production process. Unfortunately, there was no live whisky production during our visit due to a temporary water issue, but the tour still felt comprehensive.

Having visited The Macallan on a previous occasion for lunch and drams (both of which were excellent), we were very much looking forward to experiencing “TimeSpirit” — described on their website as “a pinnacle of culinary excellence in Scotland.” We were not disappointed; in fact, we were blown away by the exceptional service, presentation, quality, flavours, and pairings. A culinary pinnacle indeed — not only in Scotland, but in Europe as a whole. The longstanding tradition of crafting outstanding whisky is clearly reflected in every aspect of the experience at The Macallan, from arrival to departure. Final remark: while a dram from the extensive range of Macallan whiskies in the bar is the obvious choice, the craftsmanship behind their cocktails is equally remarkable. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fabulous whisky tasting here! When we arrived yesterday, it was already dark outside, and the softly dimmed, warm lighting created such a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The staff were fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with all my questions 🤣. I learned so much about the different ways to enjoy whisky and how each changes the flavour: whether neat, with an ice cube, or with a splash of water. Definitely worth to visit!

A beautifully curated experience The Macallan distillery offers an incredible experience with immersive storytelling throughout. Every detail has been carefully considered — almost to a fault, as it sometimes feels more like a luxury brand showcase than a whisky tour. That said, the architecture, atmosphere, and presentation are absolutely top-tier. A must-visit for whisky lovers and design enthusiasts alike.

What an experience, loved everything about the nine course tasting dinner at Macallan. Lovely welcome from a member of staff, incredible service from the waiting staff, very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable . The food was absolutely delicious, fantastic value you for money. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere. Could not fault it, would highly recommend. An absolute treat! Great for locals and visitors. Will be back and bring friends next time. Thank you! :)

What an amazing evening at the Croft Inn Thai Restaurant. The first impression walking in is 'hmm, this is a little odd', a Thai adorned small pub in the middle of Glen Livet, a very wee highland village. But then you meet Chris, you see the menu, you taste the food and it all just makes sense. The standard of food and hospitality is simply the best in the area. Beautifully presented, full of flavour and much of it locally sourced. It's just perfection. We even got to chat to Nat himself. The chief behind the magic, which makes the whole experience even more special. Will definitely back.

Can’t comment on the rooms as didn’t stay but we did go for dinner and it was amazing! Lovely fresh Thai food with vegetables straight from the pub garden. We are vegan and it can sometimes be difficult to get options in remoter places in the highlands so this was lovely. A lot of choice. We had lake buns and corn fritters for a starter, Thai green curries for mains and then mango sticky rice for dessert. I can’t pick a favourite course because they were all absolutely beautiful. Full of flavour but not overpowering. The pub itself is so quirky and such a relaxed friendly environment. Our hosts were so welcoming. Can’t fault anything about our evening. We both said this was some of the best Thai food we’d ever eaten. Will definitely be back again!

We had the nicest dinner a few nights ago at The Croft Inn thanks to the hospitality of Chris & Nat. And the food was SO good and Nat really takes such good care given allergies in our group. Please go here - you will not be disappointed. I wish this type of pub was in my own home town.

We stopped in for dinner last night and I thought it was one if the best thai meals I've had. The flavours were amazing with some unique twists and local ingredients. The setting / location / atmosphere are lovely. Service was also excellent; efficient, friendly and easy to order for sharing or not. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

The Croft Inn Thai Restaurant is one of the most inspired additions to the Scottish highland landscape I’ve ever known. This is some of the most authentic and delicious Thai food outside of the country itself and the owners Chris and Nat are so gracious and welcoming. We had the beef massaman and the Tom Yum soup. Both 10/10 in flavour. The chef will tweak the spice level for you if you ask, next time I look forward to going to northeast Thai levels of spice for the Tom Yum. I can’t wait until life next takes me up to the area!

A hidden gem in Elgin! Lovely place tucked away behind an archway – you might miss it if you’re not looking carefully. I came here looking for ice cream on a warm day, and surprisingly, it was the only place in Elgin that had any! The menu is diverse and appealing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also have outdoor seating on a quiet little alley with fairy lights – absolutely charming atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Elgin, whether for a meal, a drink, or just a treat like I did!

Came down into Elgin whilst touring the Highlands, and found this gem of a restaurant hidden down an alleyway in the High Street. The outdoor seating area is very cute, and we were a little early (doesn’t open until 12), so we sat and chilled whilst we waited. The food came very quickly, and was beautifully presented. I was extremely excited for my shepherds pie. It tasted DELICIOUS. Really well made, rich sauce and yummy. My only criticisms were that it wasn’t piping hot which was a shame, and that it could’ve used a vegetable on the plate to break up the soft texture - especially when priced at £23.00. The fish & chips was incredible - easily the softest fish and lightest batter we’ve ever had. 100% recommend. The staff were super friendly too, and we would definitely return.

Been around 4 times in 2 weeks. Consistently great, staff are attentive and friendly. Cozy little location and interior is well designed and aesthetic. Food is very hearty and wide range of selections, do enjoy the chicken pie and tagliatelle. The waiter who is new, but so charismatic, interested and energetic - please keep shining. Would say this is probably the best spot in Elgin.

Easily missed gem! Everything was of a certain gourmet pub food high quality, healthy portions and rich in flavor.

We chose the Sunday lunch option from the menu. Two courses for 23£. Was great value. The beef was very tender and a generous portion. Great vegetables which were not overcooked at all. The sticky toffee pudding was fabulous. Great friendly service too. Perfect!

This garden is a very enjoyable experience. We paid £10 for entrance. It is an oasis of peace and quiet. One thing to note was the nesting oystercatchers, lovely to see them. There is plenty to see and enjoy and there are seats to have a rest. We made a booking for the cafe and it was excellent. It seemed relatively new and was fairly busy but it was a Saturday. There is also a souvenir shop and the lady on duty was very friendly. You can walk the estate but keep clear of the private castle. We really enjoyed our visit and will visit again.

Sadly the cafe was closed. However the grounds and gardens were excellent. Perhaps a little steep £10/person for entry but we enjoyed it none the less

Interesting history of development of garden, good to see different styles of planting, both honouring the past but challenging the future. Dogs welcome. Would like to have seen a few more plants on sale and I would like to return to see how the garden continues to develop.

Wow,what a find this place was.Even driving up to it was nice.The entrance was extremely inviting.We arrived at the car park and thought i wonder what lies beyond.....Beautiful gardens,lovely staff and just a nice way to spend an afternoon.Unfortunately we visited on a day the cafe was closed so couldn't sample to food but it gets great reviews.Definately worth a visit on a nice day as in regards to the garden it's pretty much all outside.

Great wee place to relax after a walk in the local area , on the day we visited it was almost 30deg so opted to sit in the courtyard as the fans in the main room were struggling to cope so we had a wonderfully sunny cullen skink and cheese and chutney sandwich combo with the locally sourced appleade to wash it down

Asked for a weak latta, perfectly presented with a delicious blueberry bakewell. Gardens were in bloom, lavender smells amazing, bees were busy too. Loved stroll on a very hot, sunny afternoon.

Been coming here as a local for a few years each time the family visit Moray. A bit pricey for the entrance, but a lovely impressive garden and a cafe on site. Won't be returning now sadly as it's been a few times now I've found the older posher lass actually quite rude and condescending. This time it was accosting us for (correctly!) following the directions on the satnav to the car park. Not really worth flagging down and shouting at your customers for what Google says, but that's just one opinion, evidently. Definitely feels much more like a 'business' than a garden, where the landowners are annoyed they've chosen to have customers 😂 it's a shame really, it's been a nice spot for us locals over the years but there's plenty other beauty spots in the area where you feel welcome.

First time here. one of the worse pizzas i have ever had. I’m a chef AND Italian so I know what I’m talking about. Pizza was burnt as if they made it on a frying pan. They made it up to me offering the drinks. That was appreciated, but surely I won’t be back. The quality of the pizza was really really low.

We ordered a takeaway from Toscana and were really disappointed. The staff were incredibly rude when we went to collect the order — no greeting, no thank you, just a really unpleasant attitude. I was put off ordering from here and wouldn’t have had the other half of my party not wanted to. The food was warm, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. It tasted bland and poorly made — definitely not worth the money. Won’t be ordering from here again.

We came here for dinner without reservation. We couldn't find a table for two anywhere without reservation. However the staff here accommodated us without any problems. We were glad as we enjoyed everything here the food was fresh and light and the service very relaxing. Also it was very affordable with good value for money. Thank you, we will return

Quaint walk up restaurant. All of the food was made to order fresh. Except maybe for the lasagne bolognese with bechamel - which was awesome! That was probably made ahead. Everyone's order came out as requested, with tons of flavor. Portions filling and not overwhelming. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again.

Logie is just incredibly calming. A haven in this crazy world. Highlights for me are the garden, which is beautiful, the walks along the river, and sitting outside in the courtyard on a sunny day just listening to the birds....with a cuppa and a delicious cake or scone! The cafe offers good quality food. Is isn't cheap, but everything I've had, has been lovely. I've seen the craft workshops change over the years and the selection is not as varied as it once was but it's still nice to drop by and see what's new. All in all, Logie Steading is a perfect place to spend a few hours. It's family owned and has seen 6 generations living there. It's obviously a cherished family home and I believe you can feel the family's love for the place in how beautiful it is maintained. Yes, it's a business too....but to me, that always feels secondary. I adore Logie Steading and visit whenever I'm in Moray. Well worth the short trip from the Moray coast.

Logie steading was a nice wee place, it has a lovely cafe with seating indoors and out, lovely shops with handmade goods, art, jewellery, clothing. There is also a small museum which was very interesting. There is plenty of parking and they even have parking in the shade if you have your dog in the car which I thought was good. Accessible for disabled people

What an incredible place where the walks offer serenity and a sense of adventure. The spacious café delights with delicious offerings, while the shops on site make you feel like a VIP. I loved the bookshop—massive and full of an amazing selection.

We loved this stop during our bike trip! The food was delicious and the service amazing. Courtyard really pretty for lunch. The shops on the edge were an added bonus! Highly recommend.

This is a great place to visit for walking, eating and shopping. We had a lovely walk along the River Findhorn to Randolph's Leap, with spectacular views. Afterwards we enjoyed a tasty lunch in the cafe. There is a fabulous bookshop here, where we spent quite a lot of time browsing through the secondhand books.

Visited this for the first tie wat a pleasant surprise. Vert neatly kept grounds and gardens. Good selection of retail outlets. Spent quite a while in the book shop. Cafe was busy with Good food. We bought a number of unusual plants. We then visited the beautiful gardens. Then it was back to plant centre to purchase more plants. Most are taken from cuttings from the main gardens. We highly recommend a visit here.

Stayed at the Mansefield from Mar02 to Mar23 2025. Lodged in one of the 1 bed appartments, it was convenient, well equipped and well layed out. the appartment could be updated but most importantly, it was clean. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Thank you.

Was given voucher to use at Mansfield Hotel for our Ruby wedding anniversary. Decided the Mezzo would be less formal. Lovely food, staff and table was brilliant. Had king prawns and black pudding for starters fab followed by fish goujons . The amount of goujons was huge and delicious no need for pudding. Will be back possibly for my birthday.

Searched Google for places to eat breakfast whilst visiting and came across The Ditsy Teacup. What a find. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a really pleasant setting. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Trying the homemade fresh scones is a must!

We popped into The Ditsy Teacup a little after 2.30 on a weekday and were greeted with such a warm and genuine welcome The atmosphere was calm cheerful and instantly put us at ease Lunch was just what we needed We had paninis with fresh salad and crisps everything tasted homemade and the portions were surprisingly generous My daughter had the coronation chicken and was absolutely delighted to find it had no raisins or bits of fruit finally one that gets it right The service was thoughtful and kind without being over the top and we never felt rushed I even noticed another customer came in well after 3 and was still warmly welcomed for a drink which really shows the attitude of the place For context we had first tried Batchen Street Coffee around 2.15 after reading good reviews but were turned away quite abruptly by the man behind the counter even though they were still open and not busy No explanation and not exactly friendly So pleased we ended up at The Ditsy Teacup instead It turned a frustrating start into one of our nicest moments of the day and we will absolutely be back

The Ashvale is a shadow of its former glory. My experience was based on the snapshot in time I visited. It might not always be like this but overall it was disappointing. I always strive to be balanced therefore I will list positives first •plenty of parking •seated quickly •our server was really nice •not a long wait on food. Things that weren’t so good •I’m not sure the price we paid reflects the quality/portion size. •my partner asked for water and he didn’t get any •we overheard tables getting wrong orders •there was no atmosphere, it was really quiet, no music, no ambience. Nothing. Going to Ashvale was really nostalgic for me, I remember the hustle and bustle, lots of staff, great portions and overall tasty meals. I know it’s a sign of the times but doesn’t mean it is right for things to be overpriced and lower quality

I've had fish suppers from here before and they've been good with nice crispy batter. This time I ordered online with a collection time of an hour later. Got home with 3 fish suppers and all of us disappointed...the batter on the fish was soggy, all of it. I think they've obviously cooked it far too early and left it sat in the box as even though I turned up 5 mins early to collect, there it was in the box. I was waiting at counter for a bit when I entered chip shop and could see lady sweeping at back. She came to serve me and no hello how can I help you but waited for me to explain I was collecting an order. She asked if I wanted salt n vinegar and I said yes and she opened boxes , all the while still with her blue nitrile cleaning gloves on from when she was sweeping out back. She didn't touch the food , only put salt n vinegar on but still not good food safety practice. She was neither friendly or unfriendly, just not good customer service. At almost £40 for 3 fish suppers and 2 sauce pots , I expected more, don't think I will go again but certainly not an online order if I do.

First Time in Elgin Ashvale and the last! I walked in at 19.25 on a Saturday evening and was met with a very abrupt "we close at 8 o'clock " I order the jumbo haddock supper which arrived remarkably quickly, the batter was soggy, the cardboard chips had obviously been sitting for some time and ditto the mushy peas the bill was £22.40 with the can of iron bru RIP OFF! never again!

Need an option when ordering online to ask for batter. Sausage supper came unbattered. Rather odd to show up without batter as it usual the norm at chippies to batter food

Jumbo haddock chips and peas cup of tea. Haddock was fresh and tasty I was surprised. My mother had a senior citizens fish and chips also with tea. Bill was £28 but fish is expensive today. All in all it was a nice dinner. Although it was very hot inside I was sweating.

Great location in Elgin, easy parking as they have they own parking outside! Choice of either takeaway or sit in. I choose to sit in for lunch. Lovely service from staff member. Choice the lunchtime flyer, which consisted of haddock, chips and tea/coffee. Peas was offered, but I declined. Table and area clean, utensils all clean. Food was great, didn't have to wait for long. They even offered to top up my chips when I finished them ! Lovely place, well recommended.

We had a nice meal here last October fefore seeing Bombskare at the Town Hall. The four of us will go back when in Elgin again. We had 2 x Slider board, spicy beef chilli & classic dawg. 2 sides of onion rings & 1 of Veg & Halloumi. Slider boards were very filling and nice, the exception was neither of us enjoyed the pulled pork slider. The hotdog was nice and the chilli has just the right amount of heat. The onion rings were really nice and large, but could have been done with a bit longer to crisp them up more. The halloumi side was nice also. Service was good initially, but after our server went off duty, we had to go and ask for more drinks and ask for the bill. Apart from that, it was a nice meal and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back for the food

Lovely walking in to see this American diner! Great choice on the menu, with a lunch menu also. We chose from main menu. We had chicken strips with bacon and bourbon sauce. Was delicious, although a lot of the crispy coating on the chicken strips had come off. The fries were seasoned and delicious. If anything I would say the chicken wasn't warm enough. The staff were quick as was the food, it was quiet though. Thought it a little pricey but would go again

Excellent food, even allowing for chef's definition of a well done steak differing to ours. Would most certainly dine there again - but hopefully the drinks range will be improved... rather a narrow choice of beers for our liking

The best American style burger n beer bar in Elgin. Their style your own burger are superb and filling. Also worthwhe was their slider dish consisting of 3 different types of mini burgers. Delicious milkshakes too. Good value.

Had a really nice lunch here today - our first visit as we were passing and won't be the last. Had a very tasty burger where you can pick your bun and toppings and came with nice sides. Burger made by local butcher and chargrilled and was the best burger i had in a while. Husband had the slow cooked brisket with mash and gravy and that was delicious too. Friendly, attentive staff too. Comfortable seating - we were in a booth - lots of space. Only worry was its cash only but we had enough cash fortunately so not a problem.

Outstanding Performance, Cajun chicken baguette was amazing & the ham & potato soup was amazing so very happy and lovely staff, thank you.

The Little Lunchbox team arranged an amazing and very tasty catering for our training day. It was fresh and plenty of different choices of sandwiches/wraps/homebakes/fruits/crisps. The price/quality is superb and such a friendly staff and cooperative and really thinking out of the box and making sure everything for our lunch was taken care off and making sure to cater for any dietary preferences (gluten free/vegan/vegetarian). They delivered to the venue in Elgin without any issues and really go out of their way. All the participants loved the fresh and very wide selection of items and we are already looking at booking the Little Lunchbox for our next event. We can definitely recommend this caterer. A big thank you to Kathleen and her team.

Have visited fochabers fish bar a number of times and everytime the fish has been cooked beautifully. Really nice crispy batter with homemade tartar sauce.

I don't think I've had a better fish supper.... Just amazing. Fish was cooked perfectly, melt in you mouth stuff, batter was perfectly crispy and not too thick and the chips were superb, I will be back soon and I'll be telling everyone about it. 😋👍

Stopped here on the way back based on reviews. Not sure if it was because they were busy but the fish and chips were very greasy. Yes crispy on the outside but very small fish inside and soggy. For the same price (12.50), if you go somewhere else you can get a large supper, sitting down. Disappointing experience, all other people in the same party thought the same so unfortunately not a place where we would stop in the future. It's a pity because the location is lovely on a sunny day.

What's happened to this place? Stopped off to get some fish and chips after a long day. Chips were nice but the batter on the fish wasn't cooked and had big lumps of sloppy batter. it left a horrible after taste in our mouths and a coating of fat on the roof of your mouth. Sorry to say I won't be back. I don't normally leave local businesses bad reviews, but this was bin worthy.

The Scots have a great way of doing their F&C and this is a good example. Plump haddock, great batter. Generous golden firm delicious chips. Now accompaniments mushy peas a must best supporting role...haggis, delicious. Super friendly cheery staff Honourable mention to cheese and chips, this wee adopted Sassenach didn't realise you needed to heat up at home. Once in the oven they were devoured with gusto and a big smile. TY Linda's see you next year hopefully.

Best chippy in the area as far as I'm concerned. Had a mock chip supper one night and a king rib supper the next. Wife had the haddock and said it was amazing. Can sit at the tables across the road and take in the Cullen views too

Over priced food, that looked like it was left over from another days fry. The battered fish and battered sausage was soggy and full of grease. Very unimpressed by all aspects of this fish and chip shop. I am surprised, no …..amazed that it gets a 4.5 star rating when it actually deserves 1 Star. I would say this is the worst fish and chip shop I have ever bought from and would not go back even if I was desperate. I have to add though, what did come free was a double dose of indigestion from the oil soaked batter, so maybe I should be grateful as I got something for my £28.

No stars for atmosphere simply because it's a Chipper and Google doesn't understand it doesn't need atmosphere since you're just queuing for food.....which was, in simple words, delicious. Wife and I were a half or so hour late and The Galley had our order ready to go. After a 15-20 min walk back to our rental flat, in the cold night air, we opened the boxes of fried haddock and chips. Each were still delicious! Takeaway chippie, no in-store dining.

It was very busy when we visited but once we tried the food we totally understood why! Highly recommend the mushy peas, they were the best I've tried! The staff were mainly of school age however the service was still very friendly and efficient, definitely a five star experience!

Today I visited this chip shop . I ordered two black puddings with cheesy chips only to find out after I left that he only gave me the cheesey chips and when I went back to tell him of his mistake he started making fun of me with the other customer because I mentioned I was going to miss my bus because of this and only gave me the one black puddings when I had originally ordered two. Absolutely appealing customer service and do not recommend this place. The girls who work for him looked extremely uncomfortable with his behavior. If you want to be treated like something you find at the bottom of you shoe this is the place to go. Shame it isn't called Karen's diner.

Great local fish and chip shop. We especially liked the beef pie. The spicy haggis was excellent too. We ended up with enough food for lunch and left over for breakfast for under $20

I met up with my family in Aberlour and went to this chip shop we ordered 10 suppers. Chips were very good and so was the black pudding that I had everyone else enjoyed there’s, I did try the deep fry pizza in batter this was not for me but my nephew like it. Staff where very helpful and all the order came out together. Great job. having chip suppers under the trees.

My whole family were visiting our parents locally and we put in a huge order for all 16 of us. The order was ready to collect on time and the owner and all the staff were really nice and friendly when we collected it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their varied meals of fish suppers, battered sausages, gluten-free chicken and various other accompaniments. Lovely!

Quick and friendly service. Tasty fish supper though a bit dry today. Black pudding supper was great. Smoke sausage wasn't the best today a bit over cooked shall we say. Wish I went for the scampi supper special in hindsight.. worth looking at the specials before ordering your usual like I did today.

Food is decebt, if they can ever be bothered working. Been before and went down a 7pm for my dinner. There were people inside but the for was locked. As I confusedly tried to open the door, the woman came to the window (as se was serving a customer) and spat, "closed" at me, line I'd somehow pissed in her soupfor wanting to spend money there. They didn't inform me that for purchases under 5 pounds and paying by card, they would charge an extra fee. The next day, I saw the charge on my bank account and went to ask for an explanation. There's an information sign that's not easy to see. They should inform customers before paying.

Came in to a shambles of an organised mess. Kiosks aren’t working. Had to order online or app. Waited ten minutes to be told a large portion of our order for family of six weren’t available but waiting ten minutes would solve the problem for a portion of the order. Then we would have to have our order refunded and then reordered for the correct food. My wife actually had to ask “what do you actually have available” in order to determine what ourselves and hungry minions will actually be able to eat. Then once the order was changed we were informed that after all our original order would be available. The trash area was literally overflowing the tables needed wiping and the floors needed sweeping. Gave them a three for the food as I am writing this before our food gets here. We’ve been waiting twenty minutes for our food. Certainly not fast food.

I Don't Know Why That Idiot Decided To Clear My Table For No Reason. Maybe It Was Probably Because That Idiot Thought I Was Too Overweight To Eat Or Drink Anything,That's Probably Why. I Mean,I Had Never Had Anything Like That Before Happening To Me When I Went Here. I Had No Problems Until Now. I Am Getting Sick Of People Making Me Feel Less Than. Drive up menu not working, ignorant staff at drive thru window just lounging about not acknowledging you. Eventually young lad came to window but the body odour coming from him was disgusting. Drove off and went to McDonald’s.

Another time we ordered take away. And its another time when extras were missing. I do not know but somebody should check is the ticket the same as what is in the bag. We are not talking about £2, we are talking about £ 10/£15 per order! I am dissapointed to be honest.

I thought that the overflowing external bins and seagulls going through the rubbish didn’t create a good impression, but I wasn’t expecting overflowing bins inside as well. Food was dry; drink was flat - a very disappointing experience and I wouldn’t return if I was in the area for longer.

Filthy male toilets. No soap to clean hands. Loose taps. Water everywhere. Food tray served to us had sauce smeared all over the bottom of it Outside bins overflowing. Rubbish all around the building. Image what the kitchen is like. We await the generic response saying you'll try to do better, even though that promise seems to be going on for many many months. Visit here weekly. We opt for the specials which are well priced. If not, then classic fish in batter. Food is piping hot and very generous portion wise. on the way to the chip shop i tried to call but they didn't answer the phone and as i entered the shop they were shouting at one another and the young lady that was there working shouted some foul language to the phone as i got my supper the batter was all off of my fillets they had beeb reheated they were raw and my mothers fish was also reheated and absolutely disgusting i would not recommend this place at all

Can be disappointing. Chips often re heated. Would rather have less and they be freshly cooked. Fish the same often re heated. And its very expensive. You can ask for a small fish supper but so far have always got end of tail. No meat all batter. Shoddy .

I ordered a chicken calzone which was huge and absolutely jam packed with big chunks of chicken. It was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Well worth the money. I just couldn’t do it justice unfortunately. Being totally honest far too much for 1 person even if I had been absolutely starving. My advice order one between two.

Massive menu, quick service and friendly staff. I had a chicken kebab which was amazing- proper marinated chunks of chicken rather than the usual rubbish used in kebabs! Only downside is this place is very expensive for a takeaway, but I guess you get what you pay for.

The first time I tried this takeaway, very good selection of pizzas, pasta,kebabs, etc. The donner kebabs with salad and sauce, we had were very good, and we will probably be back, gave 4 stars, as more expensive than others in the area.

No issues with the shop, friendly staff or varied memu but perhaps it was the combination of bacon and pepperoni on my Volcano pizza, but this was the saltiest pizza I've ever eaten. Deeply disappointing as I was starving hungry and could only manage half of it.

Good selection of food. You can order off the main menu or the buffet menu. You get a set of starters, second courses, mains and desserts to choose from and you can have order as much as you would like as it's all you can eat, they bring it to your table rather then self serve. The prices where good and came too £36 for 2 adults buffets and a large drink each. The waitress was lovely and the food was nice.

On holiday in Buckie went to Magic Kitchen for takeaway We are spoilt at home by a Chinese Takeaway who cook the food whilst you wait Sadly this is not the case here Our order arrived very quickly in plastic containers and clearly had been microwaved from frozen The fried rice was okay The prawn toast soggy and unpleasant The chicken starter was tough and tasteless Even the prawn crackers which were nice and plentiful were tasteless I hope the restaurant food is better

A lovely little place to have an evening buffet style meal, the food came hot with a nice variety of starters and mains. It was just us in there, very quiet but that doesn't mean it's a bad place, the quality of food is excellent and it's good grub leaving you stuffed for the night. the woman there was very nice and friendly, and gave us a couple of free fortune cookies and some chocolate. I would recommend coming here if you enjoy a dine in buffet style cuisine

I went with my wife and an old friend. My prawn curry was as good as I have had in a restaurant. My wife had chicken curry and my friend had a house special fried rice and they were both fantastic. The prices were very good indeed £35 for a meal for 3 including drinks. Does not get much better The waitres was a star and so attentive. As I said the food was excellent and I will be sure to return. Mike Muller

We were stuck for a fish n chip take out as they were all shut at 9pm😲. So, after a Google search for take aways still open, this came up as a suggestion. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed pur impromptu Chinese meal. Would recommend, for the food was good and the service fast. Happy bunnies!

Look at the ratings while on hunt for a pizza and... I don't remember when I had such poor tasting pizza. Only ok thing was galic sauce. Dough below average, way to greasy from all the cheese. If you like pizza don't hurt yourself with having one here.

Tried to show scale...this is apparently a £2.50 bag of chips. Quite a small portion, glad I did not go for a cone. Service good, staff pleasant, chips taste good but I'm not a fan of portion size. Regular customer until last week, ordered fish supper and chicken Clenched fillet supper, as we always do, lot of times 4 of us, went outside as there as a few piling into shop, I’ve underlying condition so don’t want covid, I noticed people coming and going I’m just outside the door waiting to be called, mostly everyone Barr myself was served, I went in asked where my order was, fryer wasn’t very nice, they missed me, I thought they would have it written down, I said people that was after me has been served nearly half an hour, I just got abuse instead of a sorry, I said I as outside waiting, she said well that’s maybe why you haven’t been served, 😂 put the whole blame on me, they just had not a clue where they were, CJ when they were both they were lovely changed days, they gave me my money back, they’ve lost a good customer, yes and more than one, we won’t be back, just made a complete fool of, I hope the management knows about it, if they can afford to lose customers like that fair enough, Adolfo’s scored other side of town, will go there in future very good chip shop, lovely people, and completely organised, they don’t make a fool of you that’s for sure. And they have gained a regular customer, well 4 normally twice a week

The food was nice when we eventually got it! But had to wait about half an hour for it other people who ordered after us got their food before us the staff were rude when asked why other people got food before us! Would not advise English to eat there was made uncomfortable. Thought Scotland was part of the UK. Was like being abraud with other rude nationalities

Our household loves subway. We can live with the long delivery times.. The last 2 orders have missed items (a little inconvenient but whatever). Ordered today and left a note mentioning this and asked if they can remember to add them. Whoever made the order obviously took offence and dumped what seems like the bottle of sauce over my order leaving it drenched and soggy. Called and recieved no offer of remaking the order and was told they cant do refunds and to donit through just eat.

Would rather watch a snail crossing the road than come back and wait in the que for Subway Elgin. No pillows provided for a nap. Fairly sure the staff are also asleep. Five stars if you are boring and like waiting all day though.

Keep canceling orders on just eat ... if ur so busy take down the option to order. Often orders are very late and often have the wrong things are sent or missing

Food is good but no point in being able to order online for a pick up just to arrive on time and made to wait another 20 mins just to get the order and being made to watch yous stand about sorting other people's orders. Whole point of ordering online is to get it quicker

This place needs closed down or a complete change. The staff here are entitled lazy brats and the food is disgusting. Ordering online is a complete joke as well they take over 2 hours to deliver and then hang up when you try to cancel an order. AVOID!!

Was very disappointed with our subway yesterday, got served at 1.55pm, ordered 2 footlongs and a kids sub. Got mine toasted and it was then sat on the counter side till 2.20pm before it got wrapped up, looked like one lady was running about doing everything as she was recorrecting 2 of the guys. Then got to the till to be told the card machine had just broken down. Now I understand that things happen etc but there was absolutely no apology to us and they asked my daughter what she wanted in her meal deal crisps or cookie she chose crisps and when we got to the car her crisps weren't in her box and my sub was absolutely freezing . I totally understand the situation and feel sorry for the lady that was on as she was running about doing everything but we are very very disappointed in our experience at subway yesterday and will not be going again.

Horrendous!! Came here monday morning for 2 breakfast subs and 2 coffee! Girls atitude was stinking. Tried to charge an extra £4 odds for some Lettuce on one of the subs , will definitely not recommend this subway to anyone

Great Chinese - even better service. Large food portions which was great! £11.50 for a duck and rice dish which left me full at the end (6”2 bloke) and it was delicious.

I'm a fan of a Chinese cuisine but this won't be my choice again. I give it two stars, for sevice and I ate it only because I was extremely hungry. The service was fast and friendly but the downside was the food. Too greasy, very little of a Chinese authenticity, three different meals, all very greasy and tasted almost the same with same brown sauce like. Yes, prices seemed to be significantly higher than other Chinese food places :-(.

The special fried rice had packet ham in it and the salt and pepper chips were literally chips with salt and pepper. If you want a good Chinese, this is not the place for you. I only gave them 2 stars because I ate some of the food but won't be ordering again.

Owners and staff are very pleasant but I feel the food is just not worth the price tag. In my opinion it is extremely overpriced for what I would consider very average food. I paid nearly £10 for beef curry and chips. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I felt the price would be reflected in the quality of the food. Sadly I wont be returning unless the prices appear to be more reasonable.

Ordered from here a few weeks ago and to be completely honest it was very shoddy. The salt and pepper chips were literally chips with salt and pepper on, and the special fried rice had chopped packet ham in... Yes that's right, chopped packet ham. The food was fairly miserable as far as Chinese fast food goes but was edible nonetheless.

We had chicken curry, curry triangles, egg fried rice,chilli chips and onion rings between 2 of us. Large portions and very hot. Everything tasted lovely. Have had this quite a few times and will definitely get again.

This Takeaway is definitely the best in Forres, Maybe even best in Moray hard to say as I haven't tried them all. The only reason I tend not to order is because I don't particularly like talking over the phone, If only you had your own site/app I would order atleased 1s a week. And this whole cash only thing erf... who carries cash anymore. That said time to get myself to a cash machine as I'm treating myself tonight.

It's worth a visit. I popped in during lunchtime and was greeted by friendly staff. Great selection of quick bites to choose from and in the end I ordered fish and chips. The fish was a large portion, cooked to perfection, and tasted delicious. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle with just the right amount of salt and vinegar that I like!

Dont no if it's laziness or what it is but wow,fish batter undercooked,fish was like breaking apart into crystals like over burn on freezer. Excellent fish and chips very reasonably priced cheerful and positive attitude

So disappointed, after reading positive reviews thought I'd give it a try. Maybe I'm just unlucky, I know fish may contain bones even when de-boned, but it was just inedible multiple bones gave up after third bite. Only discovered when I got home order was missing chips after asking for a sausage supper.Sorry to say very disappointed. On a plus the staff were very friendly and reasonable priced food.

We stopped in for supper our way through the area. Best not so hidden find of the trip. We tried black pudding and white pudding for the first time. Great food, great staff, great value. The staff was very friendly a fun to talk to.

Missed the train to Inverness so I had an hour wait in the cold, dark and rain. Discovered this place was open. They were really quick. The fish was great and they gave my dog half a battered sausage for free. He was very happy too.

Spent £40 on the worst Chinese I’ve ever had! I ordered chicken curry but instead got beef, the deep fried chicken skewers weren’t even deep fried and tasted like rubber chicken, salt and pepper chips were frozen crinkle cut chips with a little bit of salt and pepper added, also prawn crackers tasted stale and weren’t edible, the overall food was just so poor and would never eat here again.

Wow shocking I work all over Scotland and this is the worst food I have ever had and totally the wrong order, nothing worse when you are 15min from your hotel. I ordered chicken and mushroom curry with egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips. When I got back to hotel I had the dish above with Gravy not Curry ? And the chips, wow deep fried with full of fat taste. Stay away

I was debating wether or not I should put this review here. I don't normally but the pain and discomfort I'm currently experiencing because of the poisoned food I was sent is off the scale. I ordered for my wife and I sweet and sour chicken balls, salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli chips and a potion of vegetable spring rolls or these I can't be exactly sure which poisoned me but after a trip to Dr Gray's and an IV drip for replacing fluids and still having stomach cramps I wouldn't want anyone to go through this again. I hope I was just unlucky because I don't wish anyone bad when they are trying but can't deny the food poisoning and the 3 days I've been bedridden. Sorry to post such an honest review but other people should be aware.

Happy City? More like Sad City. i thought because it was more expensive, the food would be better, but that was not the case. the sauce tasted nothing like honey chilli it was so bland and on top of that, the chicken, beef AND rice had like zero taste. I regret buying this so much.

British style Chinese food should look appealing and appetising. This looked dreadfully bland and tasted as bad as it looks. When does Hong Kong style sweet and sour have quarter sliced tomatoes in it? This is one of the worse take outs I have had.

The chicken satay was dried old chicken in a “sauce” looked more greasy dish water. Laughably bad. The salt n pepper chips were like crinkle cut microchips. No onions or any kind of veg. Even the dog wouldn’t eat it.

Excellent freshly made food. Reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed.

At first glance, Dino's seemed like the best child minder in town. Oh, how appearances can be deceiving. Allowing my child to play with the rats in the kitchen was definitely not part of the "premium care" package I was promised. Perhaps it's time for a serious review of their practices.

One of the best lamb special kebabs i have had, 1st class, the pepperoni pizza was really good as well. Not over priced either

I love Dinos and get it all the time but tonight we ordered a pepperoni pizza and we ordered it just before they closed and they sent us a pepperoni pizza with one pepperoni on it 😂 dunno if they were pissed we ordered just before they closed or what lol we have good sense of humour so we thought it was funny someone else might not have 😂

food didn’t come, the day after got a rude voice mail from the manager, so called them back up and they continued to argue with me.

Last to times been here orders wrong canna put cheese on items order chicken and doner kebab end up we just done shockin
