Fab tasty lunch. Was fine with the dog -got us some water. Food was great and we felt like being abroad so their slogan pitlochry answer to Mediterranean was true. Great service. Very relaxing lunch and delicious Irish and French coffee

We loved our mezze starters, then the main courses arrived - wow! My partner had the roast lamb and mash and I had venison. Scottish country fare at its finest. Delish - off you go!

Tried haggis meals and tattles for the first time has loved it. The best tiramisu we’ve had in a long time. Gorgeous building inside and out. Great service. Highly recommended

We had been absolutely exhausted after a long hike in Glencoe. Despite us being 1hr late with traffic they kept our booking kindly and I’m so happy they did! The venue is stunning, elegant and cozy with an infectious atmosphere. The food…sublime! Mouthwatering, diverse options and excellent value. Ended with the best tiramisu I’ve ever had and a delicious local Aberfeldy whiskey. Our waitress was very attentive and warm; she even gave us tips on whiskey drinking! Will definitely be visiting again :)

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary! Food is amazing. I had the duck and my husband had venison. Definitely the best meal we've tasted in ages! Staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is brilliant! Thank you to you all for a lovely evening....even the singing by staff and customers to say congratulations was a lovely touch. Second visit recently and once again the food was outstanding and the wine too… lovely relaxed service and good choice of menu . Highly recommend.

We had originally planned to dine elsewhere, but since their kitchen was closed, we decided to try this restaurant instead—and we’re so glad we did! It turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food truly stood out. We ordered the halloumi burger, fish and chips, and a Greek salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and arrived very quickly. Highly recommended!

A very nice Italian restaurant on the main road of Pitlochry. This hotel was recommended by the owner of the hotel we were staying at. He recommended to make a reservation as it would get full quickly. Maybe it was the time ofthe year, but we felt it was not needed. There were plenty of spaces available. As always, better to get a reservation. We had pasta dishes, a beer and a wine. The pairing was good and the pasta were excellent. A definite return if I get a chance. We sat in the patio, just off the road. We people watched as we ate, which was fun. The staff were friendly, service was quick and the food came hot. Overall, an amazing place to end your day after roaming around Pitlochry main road and the dam.

Great lunch! Steak and Ale pie as well as Club Sandwich with butternut squash soup were great. Thr best meal we had while staying in Pitlochry.

I am Scottish and I came up here on a private tour with some clients. I stopped here for a working lunch and the food is of extremely high quality. Their isn’t many establishments that will serve you ayshire bacon and stornoway black pudding as part of a Scottish breakfast. Coffee beans they use are very good and I ended up having 3 cafe lattes.

First time visiting Pitlochry. As we were driving to avimore. Stopped off for some lunch . . Found this restaurant . Wasn't really busy as it was just 12 o'clock in the afternoon . Got a table for 6 . Was given water which was a nice touch . . We all ordered more or less the same from the menu .4 fish and chips . 2 stk pie and potato's..the meal was absolutely lovely. .what I would say is the prices are a bit steep when you've to pay £44 for 2 fish teas . . Infact all of us paid the same amount for a 1 course meal. I work in a 4 star hotel and we don't ask our customers to pay these kind of prices. .

4.5 stars here. After some deep research of the options in Pitlochry, we chose Victoria’s for its menu variety-Scottish, Italian, Latin, etc. We were not disappointed. There is a nice flower rimmed patio here that would have been our preference but alas Scottish weather did not cooperate. Interior basic tables and chairs. Attentive service much appreciated. A number of Scottish cuisine dishes caught my eye while perusing the menu. We picked Garlic Bread to start, mainly due to the fact that across the board we have enjoyed amazing breads while in Scotland. Though it could have had more garlic flavor, the bread was delicious. My DW was not overly hungry so she chose the Beetroot and Goat Cheese salad. This was pronounced delicious and mention was made of the mild, not too robust, flavor of the cheese. Scottish lamb-Roast Rump of Perthshire Lamb-was my choice. Served with ratatouille & dauphinoise potatoes, both of which I felt were truly outstanding. The potatoes especially were an excellent compliment to the lamb. I was pleasantly surprised how the flavor of the lamb was much less “gamey” than most of my past experiences. The unctuous flavor was eye opening and the red wine jus added deep flavor to the dish. Loved it. We skipped dessert here for the ice cream shop down the street. If you visit Pitlochry, be advised that the tourist busses can flood the town day and evening so if you want to visit Victoria’s, best to make a reservation. Highly recommended.

The food at Victoria Restaurant in was really delicious and reasonably priced. Everything was served hot and very quickly. It was definitely worth it — I’ll absolutely come back again!

Staff very friendly. Prices quite fair. Good presentation lovely, but tasteless. My partner had fish which was over cooked and panko battered. I ordered duck- rubbery, served too cool and tasteless. The dauphenoise potatoes were poorly prepared scalloped. Would not eat here again.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Auld Smiddy. It's a lively spot loved by both locals and visitors—definitely worth booking ahead. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and full of good recommendations, which made us feel really well looked after. We shared a cheese board to start, tried one of the daily specials, and had the venison & pancetta tagliatelle ragù for the main. Everything was delicious. The sticky toffee pudding, though, was the highlight—I’d recommend it to anyone. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend it if you’re visiting Pitlochry or the surrounding area.

We visited the inn for dinner, and it’s a nice place that locals frequent for drinks and food. We particularly enjoyed the cosy local pub atmosphere and the attentive service. The food was good, with the monkfish scampi and chowder being our favourites. The oyster and seafood linguine was average.

Warm welcome by friendly professional staff. Great atmosphere. We took a selection of small plates to get a feeling for the place and watched the food coming out the kitchen. Lots of fabulous options. I really enjoyed their Cullen skink. We will be back to try more :)

Spent a lovely few days in Pitlochry with friends for The Enchanted Forest. Had our first night meal in this really lovely pub. Great atmosphere and despite midweek , very busy which is always a good sign 👍😃

On our visit, we missed lunch. So had a few hours to wait until the kitchen opened for the evening. We stayed to have a few drinks whilst we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely place to visit. And hopefully can visit again soon to try the food!

Sat outside on beautiful afternoon. Well separated from the street. Very nice. Picnic tables were a bit uncomfortable but the setting was great. Service was very good, very attentive. I had the chicken burger, and my wife had fish and chips. Both were good. Very reasonably priced given the location. Chicken always a bit on the dark side, but still tender inside. Definitely be back here, recommend for sure. Picture is of the town view outside restaurant.

One of the best meals we've had in Scotland. A lovely, dogfriendly pub in charming Pitlochry. Also, very good music!

Good spot to eat lunch/dinner. It has a good atmosphere and it’s near the main street. The meat that I had was delicious.

I struggled with whether to give this restaurant a 2-star or a 3-star rating. The restaurant is beautiful both outside and inside. We were greeted and seated right away and service went downhill quickly from there. A server approach our table and asked if we wanted food and told us he would get us menus. He brought menus, water, explained the specials as if he was in a hurry, took our drink orders, and then completely disappeared. Another server took our food orders; and yet another server brought our drinks about 15 minutes after the order for them was placed. My husband got the Monk fish special and I got the filet special. Our meals were plates beautifully, but had zero (and I truly mean zero) flavor. My filet was very tender and after I added salt and pepper it was much better, but the other items were so void of flavor that even salt and pepper didn't help. After some discussion, my husband and I agreed this is the worst meal we have had during our vacation in beautiful Scotland.

Magnificent atmosphere!! Very nice place. I really enjoyed having dinner there. The door was was open so it got a bit cold inside during the evening.

Restuarant is busy and popular but expensive (as are all restaurants in Pitlochry). £22 for dry fish and chips, £20 for smallish portion of scampi. In both cases some of the chips were scrapings and the mushy peas were just a garnish not a portion. Also cold. £30 for house red wine is taking the Mick. Obviously prices geared to taking full advantage of the tourists and I suspect it is the same elsewhere in Pitlochry as menus in other restarts similarly priced. Service fine but atmosphere at bit 1980s.

I had fish and chips which cannot go wrong in UK but it did. For the first time ever of eating countless times and in UK, I had bones in my fish which were small and could have easily gone and stuck int he throat. The fish was also very very oily. Moreover, it was very pricey. Not going back to this place for food. 2 stars is for the fries.

No complaints from me at all for The Old Mill. I was really happy with my food choices. Chicken wings with a spicy dip, Belly of Pork, and a rhubarb and apple crumble. All bang on choices. The service was very good and efficient.

Stopped in for drinks prior to the enchanted forest. Very crowded but waited a few mins for a seat at the bar. Standard drinks, cocktails were very sweet. Would go back and sit outside for lunch.

The high rating didn’t lie - it is really delicious Indian food! The portions aren’t that big but they are really well made! And our female waitress was so sweet and helpful. They also have a very well assorted gin bar whichever loved - just be aware that they charge 9-10£ for 2,5 cl of gin! 😳 The good thing is that you can sit outside and enjoy your GT and enjoy the landscape. Remember to book in advance to avoid being fully booked.

We booked in the restaurant under recommendation and were not disappointed. We took a tiffin which is a condensation of several dishes and it was incredible (it justified the price and it was for 2 people). The waitress was very kind and recommended dishes that were not too spicy and did not hesitate to answer our questions. The atmosphere is very cosy, the lights are dim and the music is good without being too present. I recommend it!

We are vegetarians and honestly had some of the best North Indian food we’ve ever tried in the UK at Cidsin Restaurant in Pitlochry. The flavors were authentic, rich, and absolutely amazing – a real treat if you’re visiting the area and craving high-quality Indian food. A special mention to Nicky, who looked after us during our visit. She was wonderful – friendly, attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations that turned out to be perfect! Every dish she suggested was spot on, and we loved them all. Thank you, Nicky, for making our experience even better! We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this place if you want proper Indian food in Scotland – take my word for it and try Cidsin.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, location, food was amazing breakfast and dinner. We were shown and explained the menu at tea time and the various authentic Indian Food from Aliket. He was so friendly, professional and knowledgable. The food he recommended was truly beautiful. I have never tasted such beautiful food. The staff, the hotel, the rooms and the views and gardens were absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend 100%

I traveled up to Pitlochry from Glasgow with my mother specifically to eat at this place, having eaten here a few years ago with my wife. It did not disappoint. This is by far the best Indian restaurant I have eaten at in Scotland. Totally unique and authentic flavours, perfectly balanced and presented beautifully. I can't wait to be back, the people of Pitlochry don't know how lucky they are

Absolutely superb food, service and setting. The food was like nothing we've tasted before. It is completely focused on flavour rather and the food simply melts in your mouth.

We arrived very late, after the kitchen had officially closed, but the wonderfully kind staff kindly asked the chefs if they could still prepare some takeaway meals for us — and they did. This kind gesture alone already made a lasting impression. While waiting, we took in the stylish and cosy interior, and couldn't help but marvel at the extensive whisky selection behind the bar. The waiter, noticing our curiosity, asked if we'd like to learn more – and we surely did! He gave us a warm and insightful introduction into the world of Scotch whisky, even teaching us the proper way to nose and sip it. Back at our accommodation, the food absolutely floored us. This was not your typical takeaway – the flavours were rich and balanced, everything was carefully packed, and it was clear that a lot of pride goes into every detail. Easily the best takeaway we’ve ever had. All in all, Cidsin managed to deliver one of the most delightful dining experiences we've had in a long while – and we didn’t even sit down for a meal! Hats off tae the whole team.

We went to have dinner on our first day in Scotland because I had read so many good reviews. The staff was very welcoming and nice but the food was very disappointing. My mother had the Pastry butternut squash: there was too much tomato sauce so we couldn't taste the filling. I had the wild mushrooms risotto and unfortunately there was no taste at all, it didn't even taste a bit of mushroom. We chose that restaurant because they have a complete vegan/veggie menu but the taste was missing and the quantity of the risotto was small. We also ordered some garlic bread but it cost 6.5€ (5.5£) for 3 defrosted slices. The dessert was good. Bill: 65£ for two, expensive for what we got. Otherwise, the location is really nice a d good service.

We just had the most incredible meal here! I’ll be honest I was not expecting it from a small town we stopped in during our road trip. I had the salmon and my husband the steak pie. We were both so impressed by both dishes that we couldn’t pick only 2 desserts since we knew they would also be incredible 😂 we ended up ordering the sticky toffee, eton mess, and the cheesecake of the day (a white chocolate passion fruit, are you kidding!!!) and all 3 were delicious.

Unexpectedly stopped in this town because original destination was closed due to a typhoon and power outage. This restaurant had high ratings on Google, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. It was delicious. The pea soup and Mushrooms Risotto were particularly delicious, and the coffee was great too. I'd definitely return to try their other dishes if I could.

I went without a reservation and without any expectations, but I was absolutely amazed by the experience! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the food… simply beyond words. We came here for lunch during our day trip to Pitlochry. The restaurant is very close to the train station and from here we started the route to the dam after lunch. We chose the fish & chips and the angus burger. Both plates looked great and delicious when served, but unfortunately the taste wasn’t what we expected. The burger wasn’t seasoned and so the chips in the fish plate, we had to accompany it with a lot of ketchup and mayo. At the end a bit pricey for what we had

I don’t think the food is good. Salad was too much sauce and the salad was wilted. Cauliflower soup, had curry powder and not fresh taste. Bread was not buttered and toasted. Fish and chips, were bland and the batter was falling off from the fish.

This plate of fish and chips looks absolutely delicious! The golden-brown battered fish fillets are perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, with a beautiful crunch that promises a satisfying bite. The thick-cut chips are golden and fluffy, making an ideal pairing with the fish. On the side, there’s a small bowl of bright green peas that add a nice pop of color and freshness to the plate. The creamy tartar sauce looks rich and tangy, perfect for dipping the fish. The wedge of lemon on top adds a refreshing citrus touch to balance the fried flavors. Altogether, it’s a classic, mouthwatering British meal that looks both hearty and comforting.

Room was spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and top notch service. Food prepared on the spot was delicious. Bar area was very busy but the atmosphere was good. We've stayed in most Pitlochry hotels in our lifetime but we'll be staying here from now on.

We didn’t stay here but ate here. Good food - tasted lovely but portion sizes were sadly lacking. Just shy of £23 for fish and chips. Price is fine if the portion sizes are good but sadly they were very disappointing. Tiny portion of peas and very small pot of chips. Fish was quite small. Soup was £10.45. Served hot and tasted lovely but one very small piece of bread. For that price more bread is needed at least. Won’t be back to eat I’m afraid.

We weren't staying at the Old Mill ( on this Occasion) but I would Highly Recommend Eating 👌 here, it's a very busy Place, and understandably so.... It is a Fabulous place to Enjoy a Great Eating Experience...Local produce is readily available on the Menu, ( PLEASE NOTE 📝) The old Mill doesn't Accept Table Reservations, so there will be a Waiting Time, given as you ask about Table Availability, and Credit ( Where CREDIT IS DUE) it was very,very busy Saturday Evening, The Tower was Buzzing, the Enchanted Forest light show was on...and the Old Mill had a Live band from 9.30pm... Our meal 😋 was Absolutely Delicious, prompt and Attentive Table Service ( just perfect 👌) Thank you so much for a Fabulous 👌 Evening.... A lovely dinner at The Old Mill Inn. No need to book a table as you just pop in. We did and were seated straight away. Staff are friendly and attentive. Lovely dishes on the menu to choose from. Ordering was so easy, with staff coming to take our food and drinks order at the table. The wait for both our drinks and food was not long. My friend had the Sunday Roast and I had the Butter Chicken Curry. My friend enjoyed her Sunday Roast, the curry was nice but if I was to come again then I would order something else.

Really nice place to eat. A little pricey for what we were looking for during a camping trip but we found there was wood fired pizza on offer which were really delicious. Sat in the garden area and watched the football in the sun. Really nice atmosphere and the rest of the food off the main menu looked great from what we could see so I will be back to try it.

We recently visited this restaurant on a Sunday and opted for the Sunday roast. While the location is great, especially the outdoor seating, the meal itself was a big disappointment. The beef was chewy and dry, the gravy was flavorless, and the potatoes were dull and unappetizing. We might consider returning to enjoy the atmosphere outside, but we won’t be coming back for a full dining experience. My advice would be to skip the Sunday roast and try something else on the menu instead.

The food was exceptional. The service fantastic. My chicken with haggis and root veggies was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was definitely made from scratch. So delicious. Thank you.

An absolute gem of a find in Pitlochry. We stopped in Pitlochry on our drive down the A9 purposely to try the Garden Cafe and were delighted when they had a table available to sit in. The cafe was busy with constant trade of tourists and locals - always a great sign when the locals are regulars. Although it was busy, the service was friendly and attentive. For our Saturday brunch I ordered the French toast which has lovely presentation and was very tasty. My dining partner had the Eggs hollandaise with black pudding which she really enjoyed - do note their is a paprika kick which I am sure you could ask for without if you prefer. There was plenty of cakes on display which my companion got some to take away and enjoyed. We loved our brunch so much that when we were passing heading home northwards on the Sunday we stopped in again for lunch. I had planned on getting homemade soup because it looked incredible at other tables but as the flavour wasn't for me, I opted for the burger special which was a perfect option. My companion got a baked potato which gave her quite a shock at the plentiful portion. We left stuffed but with no regret as the food was delicious and filled us up all day!

Popped in for brunch on a sunny day (unplanned). It’s a great little spot, space is at a premium but if you like a cozy vibe this place has it with a modern twist. Food and service were great and the highest compliment I can make is to say I’d be back again.

Our tour had a stop in Pitlochry, and I made a beeline straight for the Garden Café Pitlochry — you were either with me or left in the dust. Anyone who followed was lucky to experience lunch at this charming little gem. Owner Ryan is the perfect front man — all smiles and genuine hospitality. He made us feel completely at home, like we were dining in his own kitchen. The Cullen skink was the best we’ve ever had; from the elegant presentation, you could tell it was going to be unforgettable — subtle, balanced flavors done just right. We also loved the passion behind creating such a warm, garden-like ambiance. A true hidden treasure in Pitlochry. Saluti!

A quick pit-stop at the lovely Garden Cafe this morning for a breakfast roll and Cappuccino. Lovely welcome, lovely atmosphere and decent food too. Look forward to visiting again for lunch or cake the next time we're in Pitlochry.

Incredible breakfast! Warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Ordering time was very quick and everything was very well presented. Highly recommend!

I found this place on the way travel to Inverness which was super cute cafe with tasty coffee. The staff were so lovely and friendly. Strongly recommended!!!

We stayed in a twin room at the Townhouse, just across the street from the main hotel. We were escorted from the hotel check-in desk to the townhouse main entrance, which was a thoughtful service. The room was quaint, very comfortable and surprisingly modern, considering the historic age of the building. We had a slight issue with the sink, which maintenence remedied immediately. As advertised, note that there is no lift and several flights of stairs, depending on your room. Not a problem if you're comfortable with that! Since we were just staying a night, we left our suitcase in the car and just brought in what we needed. Very convenient to the Rie-Achan Road Car Park, which was reasonably priced for overnight parking. If you're coming by train, it's also a short walk from the station. Great stay, and we would definitely book again!

We had a nice big bedroom overlooking the high street, clean and comfortable, which was lovely. It was also directly over the bar, which is fine if you dont want to sleep! Music went off at about 11pm and the cellar was stocked at 5am. Imagine an erratic earthquake! The room was actually shaking. Stick with the traditional Scottish breakfast, which was good and the buffet was fine - the smashed avocado with poached eggs was actually served with a pre-bought green paste, no sundried tomatoes. Some staff were nice, some were pretty surly and short on smiles. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in a great location. Just ask for a room away from the bar, stay conservative with your food choices and you should be fine!

Lovely, welcoming hotel for us and our dog. Room was nice and clean, if a little dated, please don't be put off. We ate at night and we certainly wouldn't have any complaints. Breakfast in the morning was the only real disappointment, coffee was cold and the poached eggs were almost still clucking. So disappointing but wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our overall experience at McKays is good. The check-in was easy and the location is fabulous. We stayed at the McKays Townhouse and it very much felt like staying in a sparce flat- no pictures, very small room and not equipped with plugs, etc in the same way a hotel room is. That said, it was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and I would definitely return but only if the hotel itself had availability.

the staff we had were lovely, no complaints to them (apart from one) we order our food, 2 sides 2 mains 2 cokes, 76ish pound if came to, more expensive than places in the middle of edinburgh city. Now if the food was good there would be no complaints however it was terrible, the burger was small, did not taste nice, the chips that were “dirty fries” were terrible, cheese sauce and cheese sprinkled on top yet there was no cheesy taste surprisingly, the chicken schnitzel had a very weird texture like cheap frozen poundland chicken, the mash potatoes were very nice however. the chicken wings were also nice tasting, dry but nothing too bad. then we got two sauces, and got charged double, i ask the server and they give me a refund, then i check my refund and i was short changed a pound, again nothing crazy but you charge me double then short changed my refund?? regardless of this staff were all nice that we spoke to, service was fast too but the food is ridiculous overpriced for the quality and taste that you pay for. sauces were 3.50 for reference i got two, charged £14 then got a £6 refund makes me think is this intentional?

A very friendly hotel, staff are superb at their jobs and also love a little humour. Dont be scared to crack a wee joke. The room was perfect, spacious, very clean and comfy. Food was delicious and the beers and cocktails were exactly as expected.

What a friendly and welcoming staff. It made our stay so much more pleasurable. Special call out to Logan, who was particularly helpful and welcoming. Pitochry is lovely. The theatre is amazing. Mackays just adds to the experience. For sure we will be back.

Great stop on our drive through Scotland. We loved walking around Pitlochry, then we found this gem of a place. The tea selection is unlike any I have seen - very nice and interesting flavor combinations! The Victoria Sponge cake is outstanding!

Hettie's Tea Room is an absolute gem in Pitlochry! We had a truly exceptional experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The food was incredible, and the portions were extremely generous. So much so that we couldn't finish it all! We especially loved their specialty teas: the Spiced Girl and the classic Hettie's Earl Grey were both outstanding. For our selection for the tea for two, the cheddar and red onion relish and the chipotle chicken were delicious choices. As well as the other savory choices they chose for you. The sweets were divine! What really set this experience apart was the service. We were taken such good care of by the staff! Every person working there made us feel genuinely welcome and appreciated. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful and memorable visit.

Loved this restaurant! Great stop on the way to Inverness, but does take a while to get food. The tomato basil soup with a panini was a great lunch. Enjoyed my latte and my carrot cake after my lunch! Everyone else in my family also really enjoyed their meals

Went there following the recommendations I found on TikTok and online. The coffee (latte) was very good and the cake too ! The food selection was great, and tasty. The atmosphere was not at the expected level compared to the reviews. The place is well known and successful and you can sense it. The blackboards were erased and the menu was re-written on it but not so nicely… Anyway, you would not get disappointed by the coffee or the food because the quality is there so I would still recommend :)

Tried carrot cake which was a bit too sweet but moist and yumm. Iced coffee and gingerbread latte were too good. Lovely cute tea room.

Wowzers, never had such a massive piece of cheesecake before in my life, I struggled to finish it, it was so rich and sweet. If I were picking again I would probably choose the strawberry one to balance the sweetness of the cheesecake itself, as the biscoff one was too much. The ALL IN hot chocolate with marshmallows, maleters and whipped cream was delightful. It may seem a little pricey, but the portions and quality of the food are very good.

Fantastic venue. The surrounding grounds are beautiful. The Explorers garden worth a visit too. We went to see The 39 Steps. Brilliant, highly recommend. The 4 actors playing all different characters. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely lovely and so fun. An intimate stage experience with talented artists and a wonderful story. The building is clean and bright and modern in a storied landscape and garden that is entirely walkable and photo-worthy. Head over early to enjoy a leisurely stroll, a cup of tea or coffee, or a dram. The gift shop is worth perusing. Bathrooms are gendered rooms with stalls.

Lovely theatre. Easy to get to. Good toilet facilities. Lovely choice in the cafeteria. Good views. You also have a lovely garden to explore next door and not far from the dam.

Just saw 'A Toast Fae The Lassies' at Pitlochry theatre studio and it was magnificent! The acting was excellent and the singing outstanding. The musicianship was first class. The intimacy of the Pitlochry theatre studio helped, but the show deserves a national audience. Well done everyone involved, well done Pitlochry Festival Theatre!

Lovely place! Good sized shop with some gorgeous items. Beautiful theatre. Please though - more women's toilets! We saw the Great Gatsby. The cast were phenomenal.

Stumbled in to the first night of Nan Shepard and it was absolutely delightful! The audience even sang a Scottish song together. She was quite a wonderful person who is no longer lost to history. Great production! So glad I got to see it! 😁

Best lunch in Scotland. Such a warm welcome from fantastic staff, who provided great service, and even better food. The seafood linguine was better than some I've had in Italy... the Korean chicken waffle was so unusual and one of the best dishes on the menu. It's not too spicy, equal parts spicy and sweet, and the fish and chips were too good. The kids menu was also very good, lots of options and cooked brilliantly. Perfect stop for small, weary travellers. There's seating outside, which is beautiful. Inside is charming and also dog friendly if the weather is not on your side. Accessibility wise, it's not the easiest as there's no car park, you have to park on street or use a car park in town and walk over the foot bridge or walk quite a way to get there. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. 10/10 recommend! 🙌

Amazing atmosphere, so beautiful restaurant, but the garden/outdoor seats are very cute as well. Beautiful view over the river,too. We ordered fish and chips and we loved it. Very delicious. And last but not least, the staff were absolutely amazing, so nice and friendly. We definitely recommend it.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal here to celebrate a 40th birthday. Attentive staff together with a cosy ambience and excellent food made for a perfect evening. Food arrived quickly and settling the bill was also dealt with promptly. It’s dog friendly too so that’s a huge plus when travelling with a 4-legged friend! The seasonal pumpkin decorations outside added an extra special aesthetic to the place. I found it utterly charming and will definitely return.

I tried this restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, with the river view right next to the tables – a setting that perfectly complements the meal. As for the menu, in the main courses section I mostly found fish & chips, a tasty and well-cooked dish, but it would have been great to see more fish-based options, especially considering the lively river just nearby. 😊 The other main dishes are varied, but for fish lovers, a wider selection would definitely be a plus. P.S.: If you can’t find enough fish options on the menu, don’t worry – you’ll surely find more in the river next to it! 🐟

Stumbled across this place while on a walk down by the river and ended up having the most perfect lunch. Staff were so kind and welcoming, everything on the menu looked delicious, will definitely be back to sample more.

We came here with a party of three for dinner on a Friday night with no reservation and had the chicken liver pate, pumpkin ravioli, ribeye steak and stuffed chicken breast, plus dessert, all very tasty.

Food was average. I have been in many Indian restaurants across London and india . Specially the Madras curry probably the worst I ever had . the madras curry tasted like pasta sauce . It’s just a tomato gravy or tin tomato sauce with chicken . Since you have an Italian restaurant. Mediterranean. Indian . So I am confused too Garlic naan tasted like same like a pizza base & madras curry tasted like pizza sauce. Can’t tell you much . Mushroom rice was very good . I don’t recommend this place unless you are hungry xxxx

Great restaurant with plenty of choice from Indian to European meals, cakes, light lunches, hot drinks. Indian dishes were delicious and of good quality, not greasy, staff friendly and welcoming. I've tried a few curries, pakoras and naan breads, all yummy!

The vegetarian Korma and curry were delicious. The staff very nice and friendly and a nice ambiance. Just perfect before exploring the Enchanted Forest. I recommend for vegetarians.

Really good lunch had today, the staff were very friendly and attentive couldn't do more to make us feel welcome. Dog friendly too which is brilliant and honestly can not argue with the value. Can't wait to come back

We had to grab a quick bite before getting on our bus. We got the soup and sandwich deal. In about 5 minutes our order was ready. The sandwiches are simple, but well-filled (with vegetables and crisps on the side). I got the carrot soup, which had a nice spicy aftertaste. Sadly, we were not able to sit down and enjoy the other food, but definitely will give it a try next time.

Rave for Pasha! After we called ahead to the Auld Smitty Inn to specifically ask if their kitchen was open, and were denied service in a half empty restaurant upon arrival, because, “the kitchen decided to close.” Not knowing where to go at almost 9 in the evening we walked into Pasha as they were cleaning up, vacuuming, and were greeted with a smile and welcomed to sit, clearly after they expected their last guests for the evening. Our service was friendly and personable, the (I think) owner served us and shared a bit about his family. Two of us ordered Indian and one in our party ordered pasta, all of us were VERY satisfied and left full. My father in law, more accustomed to traditional Punjabi food, didn’t love the Pathia, but I did! I thought it was delicious and I was excited to read in Wikipedia it is more of a popular UK dish, which perhaps explained why we were unfamiliar with it. I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it before! My father-in-law very much enjoyed his traditional chicken curry, (I can’t remember the name of the dish, but it had a whole section in the menu dedicated to different types.) Even the Penne Pollo was an excellent, and my partner didn’t have much expectations. The restaurant was IMMACULATELY clean, one of the servers was even dusting window sills! Thank you Pasha for saving our evening, serving us a delicious meal, and showing us wonderful Pitlochry hospitality!

Order battered fish and chips supper for 11.5. The size was quite large with two fillet . It was quite good though a bit greasy.

Although the people were pleasant enough and the service was fine, the food was completely inedible. The chips were brick hard and extremely dry and the fish looked and tasted far from fresh ( they were brown and slimey inside). The sausages were okay, but still not the best. We bought meals for 5 people which cost around £35. Apart from the sausages, everything else had to be wasted. It really was that bad. I don't know if we caught them on a bad night, but if we hadn't already left the area, I would've taken it all back and asked for a refund.

Kind of insane to say but this was probably the best food we had in Scotland. Says a lot considering we visited many nice restaurants. Fresh and hot food, and the battering on the fish was spot on.

Superb fish and chip shop. Called in this evening as the gluten free option caught our eye the other day. Being a coeliac fish and chip options are limited so really glad these are gluten free aware. My gluten free fish and chips with mushy peas was excellent. Filling and reasonably priced too. My partner's 'normal' fish and chips were equally delicious. Very friendly staff and quick service. The only downside is we're here on holiday so can't enjoy this every week. Will definitely use again when we're back here in the future. Excellent.

I went here when I was passing by in 2016. I live west of Glasgow and this is the best chippy I've ever had! Never tasted anything so good before or since! My wife and I were driving to Thurso and we made sure to stop in a second time on our way back home.

This is takeaway fish and chips, primarily. The battered fish and chips is the way to go. It's so crunchy and tasty. The fish is moist. They added Malt vinegar and added extra flavor to the fish. We love this place. The Supper portion is big, three of us shared 1 order.

This cafe's toilet was great. It was very spaceous and clean. It had the basics (toilet paper, soap and a working lock) and it was free. After washing your hands, you even have a choice. They both have paper towels and an air blower. The reason why I'm only giving them 4 stars is because there were only 2 toilets. One for men and one for everyone (including disabled people and it had a baby changing table).

Very nice little coffee shop well worth a visit. Excellent pastries, perfect cappuccino, friendly staff. They went above and beyond by warming the banana cinnamon loaf -- yummy!

I really loved this place! Perfect for a cozy lunch on a dreich day as very colourful inside with local artwork to purchase. Best Cullen Skink I've had in years -- could tell it was freshly made. Cakes were lovely, flat white coffee very good. Generous portions for everything, so I thought prices were reasonable. I plan to go back.

A very friendly little place, not too many tables, and really good service. A pleasant atmosphere to sit in. Coffee was tasty! Their story on the menu mentions that most of their food is locally sourced, so big bonus points for that. Dog friendly, very friendly! Their toilets have a wall of polaroids of dogs that have visited which is just fantastic Only reason for food being rated 4/5 is that their lunch choices felt quite limited. The food itself was good

A nice restaurant with a casual vibe. The menu caters for everyone, with a choice of classic, Italian and varied dishes, a few vegetarian options too. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, and the price is reasonable considering location. A perfect way to end an Enchanted Forrest visit, which starts and ends by the front door. Oh, booking recommended!

Awful place. Can’t follow simple instructions in regards to food orders. Gammon arrived floating in greasy, black water. Even worse service! Definitely won’t be back! £170 bill and they didn’t even notice the untouched meal! Don’t even get me started on the toilets, I walked in and straight back out.

Came in for a last minute meal before enchanted forest. Ordered salmon prawn cocktail started absolutely amazing. Two mains rigatoni and half chicken amazing flavours very fresh will definitely come back!

We had four bowls of chicken soup for lunch at over £8 per bowl. The service was great and the atmosphere was good but the soup was a bowl of stock with a tiny amount of veg and even less chicken. It would have been more cost effective to give us a can of soup.

We landed in Portlochry for a 2 night get away on our 3 week travels from Canada and found ourselves craving a pasta. The previous photos of the menu seem to be outdated. We had the beef shin pasta dish . It was very good. I am posting photos of the menu as of November 4 2025

Really busy Friday night, it was really busy but it didn't take long to give our order or for the food to be ready. Order at the counter and if you are sitting in they give you a beeper, This goes off when your food is ready, you go and collect your order from the counter. Typical chip shop cutlery. Food served on a paper plate, was hot and tasty. Batter on white pudding and sausage was great. White pudding was very tasty. When you are paying just under £9 for a sit in supper (some price as take away, by the way) is good value. Would go back.

It was a wet and windy night and what better way to spend such a night than in the warmth with some freshly cooked fish and chips. The staff were very friendly, quickly took our order. We found a place to sit and had a fun evening at McKays fish and chip shop. The breaded haddock fish was very well cooked and tasty with a good portion of chips. Similarly for the battered haddock. All finished off with some tartare sauce (which was included) and some very good mushy peas. The value for money was very good and a happy evening in Pitlochry with some fish and chips.

Excellent gluten free fish! Some of the best I've had in the UK. The batter was perfection....so light and crispy. Thank you! They even have gluten free vinegar.

I visited this restaurant today and do not recommend it. The staff was rude and seemed unhappy to be there. The chips were not cooked properly, and the fish was overcooked. Pitlochry is a lovely place, and I'm sure you can find better options for fish and chips than this one.

Lovely place - well worth a visit. Always great service and great food. Dining in is nice, clean and something different as we'd normally just do a take away for fish and chips. They've got seats outside too, and when it's warm enough they open the whole front of the dining area and it's really nice. You can also get drinks as they're part of the bar / hotel next door. For balance... A little more expensive than a normal chippy. And the toilets are in their hotel next door.

The fish and chips were tasty, but the service was slow due to how busy it was. We mentioned that we were in a hurry to catch the bus and they kindly sped up our order—thank you!

We went for dinner and what an experience that was. We were first put in the sitting area and served pre-dinner drinks.at the same time we were given the menus and wine lists to peruse. After taking our order we were able to enjoy the comfort of the room before being taken to the dining room. All of the food was excellent as was the service that accompanied it. All I know is that if we are in the area again we will eat there and in the expectation that rooms are available we will stay there as well. We were super impressed.

We stayed for two nights in August for my birthday. Room was down alot of stairs in the other house. Were not aware of this as I have mobile issues as waiting on an operation. However room was lovely no complaint. Our family were camping in Blair Athol so on check in were asked if we would like to book dinner. After saying about the family and said we would be dining with them both nights attitude changed. Came back early to have a night cap before turning in,only to find no bar as such. Only a lounge full of sofas which put you in mind of an old folks home. Needless to say we left. First morning for breakfast, after ordering our fruit came. Then they forgot about us. We had eventually to ask. No apology. When toast came it was burnt. Should have sent it back. The full English was the smallest I've ever had and the potato scone was a very small pancake. Second morning I had a tummy upset and needed to use the ladies. Out of order and no alternative. Had to leave hotel and go back outside down all these steps to our room. Not acceptable. We paid well over the price,double the price from previous week. But we thought we were going to a lovely hotel to relax with a drink after a busy day with family but how wrong were we. We would not recommend this hotel . Too many no parking areas as well. Even in hotel grounds.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room had the most stunning view overlooking Pitlochry. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff at the hotel was very kind and our breakfast was great. A close walk into the town. Only complaint is that we wish we had spent more time here!

It was a fantastic experience to stay at the Knockendarroch Hotel. Dinner and breakfast were superb; bed extremely comfortable; showers hot and powerful. But absolutely the best thing about staying here are their wonderful staff. Special thanks to Paige, Morgan, Jessie and the other lovely young Australian lass whose name we missed - who made our stay special.

The most unpleasant service in Scotland so far, they seem to wait tourists to treat them like sheeps. They didn’t want to give us cups to drink a coke for our order, when i have insisted they gave us just 1, as a courtesy i guess. Yelling numbers in the middle of a small room, but we were only clients that had ordered food in that moment. They simply enjoy the passage of tourists to make money. Food was good, especially shortbread.

Our last stop after a full day exploring the Scottish Highlands was this cozy little house café in Pitlochry, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place had such a warm, quiet charm, the kind that instantly makes you feel at home. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with onions, some chips, and a cold drink. simple, but exactly what I needed after a long day of walking and discovering.

A great wee find on the road back to the bnb when we both needed a caffeine pick me up, friendly service and a lot of choice so i had a fab caramel flat white with a toasted tuna melt and the gf had a chai latte and a millionaire shortbread , well recommended for really good coffee and lite bites and great service

Was having a wee walk along the street and fancied a cuppa and we came across this place,it was pretty quiet so ventured in.As soon as we did it noticed a cabinet of homemade cake delights faced us.They weren't cheap BUT I can honestly say the Eclair was lovely,my only grumble was it was too small for the price.That said you could tell it was homemade.The place itself is quaint although a little cold,and the toilets are definitely in need of a bit of TLC,but that said.Was well worth the visit

But near the end of our journey, we were shocked and angered by how we were treated at this small café. Our tour bus stopped at the McKays/Pitlochry parking place, near the public toilets. There’s a small café called Mackenzie’s Coffee Shop, with an ice cream sign out front. Three white female staff were working inside. I ordered a £5 ice cream and politely asked if I could have some hot water. They said “Sure” — with no mention of any charge. Then I noticed the receipt: £2.25 charged just for the hot water. When I asked about it, the cashier replied coldly:“That’s what we charge for hot water.” I said, “I didn’t ask for coffee — and you didn’t tell me it would cost anything.” No apology. No explanation. Just a blank, dismissive face. She said if I had a problem, I could complain on their website. I told her I’d leave a Google review. Her smug reply: “Appreciate it.” What upset me more than the money was the way we were treated. My mother （60+）and I are East Asian. Throughout our time in the café, we were met with cold, impatient tones and unfriendly faces — while other white customers were greeted with smiles and warmth. It felt like we were being judged, looked down on, and brushed off — simply because of how we look. ⸻ This wasn’t just poor service. It felt personal. Discriminatory. In a charming town, this café was a painful contrast. ⚠️Avoid Mackenzie’s Coffee Shop. There are better places — with honesty and basic respect. ———————— Follow-up to the owner’s response: Your long and defensive reply only proves my original point — this establishment refuses to listen, refuses to reflect, and refuses to treat all customers equally. I raised a fair question about pricing and communication. That’s it. If your team was “abused,” it certainly wasn’t by us. What we received, however, was rude service, smug responses, and thinly veiled hostility — and now, a public attempt to discredit and silence us. But your refusal to reflect — and your decision to threaten reporting my review instead — says everything.

Great service, attentive staff. Breakfast was lovely, the ingredients tasted great and cooked well. Sausages were particularly good. Just a quick note on previous reviews not to dispute anyone's experience but we did not experience any sign of racism or hostility from any member of staff. They were all great, polite and friendly.

Arrived and service was great from the start, ordered quickly as wasn’t too busy and drinks brought to us promptly, food wasn’t too long behind. It was professionally presented and looked Amazing. First time me and my daughter had tried Thai food, my daughter absolutely loved her Egg fried rice, my red Thai curry wasn’t to my taste but overall it was a decent serving. Pricey for what it is but the service was fantastic. Easy to find and a fantastic atmosphere

We had a wonderful time at The-Wee-Choo-Choo! The service was incredible and the food was fantastic. We had tried to book a table via open table but we didn’t receive a cooking confirmation so the booking wasn’t on the system but the staff managed to squeeze us in and we were very grateful! We will be back and would recommend to anyone thinking of booking in! First class service and food!

An absolute GEM in the middle of Scotland's Highlands. The setting is whimsical and fun, upscale without feeling stuffy, and there is love in every single item that comes out of the bar and kitchen. There is no better Thai curry. Do make a reservation, at least a day in advance if possible. We were one of the fortunate few to get to walk in and get a seat without one. Give 90 minutes if you're planning on attending the theatre after. There didn't seem to be an enforced dress code, but most people were dressed nicely, with button downs and dresses and such.

It’s a restaurant placed within one of the train carriages used in mission impossible movie where Tom cruise runs on top of this carriage! Good selection of Thai cuisine with very chatty waitresses. It was a great experience!

Really tasty food and amazing restaurant ! Family owned restaurant, mommy is the chef and dad & daughter "en salle" The owner is "aux petits soins" and very cool m. Definitely a nice stop when in Pitlochry. I recommend to book in advance :)

Wow! We enjoyed a fantastic dinner here while on holiday and wish the choo-choo could come visit us at home! The family that owns and operates the restaurant were lovely and prepare truly amazing Thai dishes. Both my wife and I devoured our massaman curries. Full of flavor, the meat was so tender really incredible. And the history of the train is super cool as well. A must visit if you’re in the area!

I was recommended here by a work colleague and decided to take my fiancé for his birthday as we love Thai cuisine. We were both enchanted by the setting and the food was the best Thai cuisine we had ever had, presentation and combination of flavours was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful without it feeling like they were hovering or imposing on our time together. I highly recommend The Wee Choo Choo to anyone and we will definitely be back.

The specialty Scotch whiskey-flavored ice cream was absolutely amazing. The whiskey was not overpowering and it complemented with the sweetness of the ice cream very well. We also tried the banana ice cream and it was delicious as well. However, I strongly recommend trying the whisky one.

I was told to try the whiskey ice cream even though I’m not a huge whiskey fan. It was delicious!

Unfortunately this Greggs always seems under staffed and so service is often very slow or even non-existent! This morning is a good example, there were only 2 staff members visible and I was told by the person serving me that he didn’t have time to cook vegan sausages today (even if I came back later) because he was doing the job of two people. I don’t doubt him, just a shame it’s always vegetarian that looses out - often find this situation.

Can you believe they charge you for having a seat in the restaurant? I was tired of driving, wanted a quick break and bought a deal. Had to pay for a table, also they charged me wrong for the mussarela bits saying it was not part of the deal? How come? I will never come back to this place. Lack of human touch to deal with people and tourists.

When we were already paying, he came back to the counter and again, in very bad manners and in front of us and other waiting customers, shouted at her that "this was the first and last time" and that "next time he had to say no to the customers" that "he is the supervisor and you do what he says". It was very unpleasant, although she was very polite and friendly at all times and prepared the order quickly.

In Greggs you know what you're getting, and the food is usually spot on. However, my issue is not with the food but instead the two members of staff I had the misfortune of dealing with on this particular day. I had asked for 2 sausages rolls for my husband and myself, simple request. However, I was challenged, "VEGAN?!" I had shouted at me, 'no thank you, just two regual sausage rolls please' I politely replied, to which a second member of staff chimed in "well you're pointing at the vegan ones!" This was not said in a nice or helpful manner, I maybe had pointed at the wrong ones by mistake, but I had already politely replied to the aggressive shouting directed at me, I don't think there was much need for the second round of attitude from another staff member. Something tells me those women were not happy to be working on a Sunday morning.

Two days ago, just before heading off toward the Highlands and Loch Ness, I was served by a lovely lady whose kindness left a mark on me. She had the sweetest eyes, and while rushing around to help us right away, her little hat kept slipping off, a small detail that somehow made the moment even more endearing. If this message ever finds its way to her, I’d like her to know this: at my age, I’ve come to judge people mostly by first impressions. And in all my time in Scotland, hers is the face I’ll remember the most because she had kind eyes.

The food was absolutely amazing! I’ve never tasted anything like it in my life — so full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Every bite was a delight. Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. And that worker Javed was incredibly helpful and friendly — such a top guy 😁. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Had 3 takeaways (one delivered) from Khan Babas and the food was amazing. The one ordered for delivery was received at the Air BnB we were staying at within 30 mins and was piping hot. Can recommend the cheese burger and Chicken Kebab, both delicious.

Ordered food for takeaway, worst food ever and to top it off their attitude is so dry. Learn some work ethics and customer service guys. Would be nice if you use catering gloves to make wraps. You were taking orders on the phone , using card machine and then made wraps with same hands without washing them. we arrived quiet late and ordered a pizza for takeaway - probably it was the latensss of the hour but the pizza we received was severely undercooked. unfortunately we didn't realise it until we were at the hotel. it was not edible. even the veggies on top were raw. I would expect a certain quality of food if they are open.

Food was delivered cold. Doner meat was dry and mixed kebab had 2 tiny pieces of chicken and one piece of lamb. Small pizza was also cold undercooked. Wouldn't use again.

Great little store with most of your everyday essentials. Great selection of groceries, plus lottery tickets. Right on the High Street, nearby to alot of hotels etc and odeal for tourists. Staff were helpful and very friendly. I didn't see any off road parking outside but there is limited parking nearby.

Lovely little bakery tucked away behind Main Street in Pitlochry. Delicious goods. We had the pepperoni pizza, filled focaccia bread and danish pastry. Also bought a tin loaf to takeaway. All excellent. Friendly service. Seemed popular with the locals as well.

I was incredibly lucky to stumble upon this magical bakery at 11.45am this morning. Their pizza comes out at 12, I had the first slice. My life is forever changed. The finely sliced mushrooms, onions and courgettes are perfectly arranged for optimal tastiness. The pizza slice looks long, so your first thought may be “ it will have a soggy wet dough.” But No my friends.. this dough is crispy throughout!!! Every bite is just a reminder that artistry exists, and they make pizzas in this bakery. Thank you SO much!

So glad we stopped by. We wanted some sandwiches to take with us on the road. We picked up two focaccia sandwiches- the mango chutney with Brie and rocket as well as the mozzarella tomato pesto. They were delicious and the focaccia was excellent. My toddler also really enjoyed his fresh roll. The staff here was very kind and the baker humored my toddler as he prepared the sourdough for the next day. We didn’t get the chance to try much else but I’m sure it is excellent!!

In a word…Impeccable From the service to the wine pairings to each PERFECTLY and Meticulously crafted course (chef’s table: 9 courses). So fresh and locally sourced. Much thought was given to even the smallest detail. It was a special occasion for us- personalized menu was a nice touch. Will return and recommend!

We booked this fine dining restaurant and the hotel two months in advance for four people. Upon arrival, the restaurant informed us they only had a reservation for two. The manager has promised to “resolve the issue,” so now we’re waiting at the bar to see how professionally they handle their own mistake. It will be very interesting to see how this situation is resolved — and of course, we’ll be sharing the full story on TripAdvisor, where attention to detail and customer care clearly define a restaurant’s reputation.

The food was outstanding, we could never fault it, the service by George was amazing and faultless I am going to be totally honest I didnt think the pod was worth £75 the linoleum was creased, the windows were dirty! I think it being a special birthday and only the 2 of us ( A couple) they could have reduced the price.

We booked Sandeman’s restaurant 3 weeks prior to our trip to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. On arrival, we were taken to the Brasserie instead of Sandeman’s. I asked what was happening and showed them my confirmation email. They said they were unable to honor the reservation as they were overbooked. Then they offered to show us the restaurant we could not eat in. What a slap in the face. Shane on them. Never to return!

Nearing the end of a 10km hike this pub emerged and beckoned us in. The service was fantastic, the food was decent "golf clubhouse" food and you get to watch how well positioned the creek is on 18 as it collects ball after ball throughout your meal. All around a decent stop (and lunch prices are cheaper than right in Pitlochry.

The service and food here was a highlight to our trip across Scotland. My little girls were met with the kindest staff who made things extra special for no reason at all. The food was well prepared and the ingredients used were fresh and satisfying. Not pictured but amazing freshly baked scones and spot on coffee. We will definitely return. Until then please tell your lovely ladies in the kitchen thank you for hand delivering and the waitress a special thank you for her warm welcome and attentiveness. Not mention my husband had a wonderful time on the course.

We traveled from Mexico and went on a road trip around Scotland , and this was definitely our favorite meal of the entire trip. The service was amazing, and the prices were very fair. If you're in the area, you absolutely have to eat at Red Deer!

Stopped for a quick drink while out for a walk. The restaurant and bar appear as part of the golf club. But not exclusive to the club. Drink was a reasonable price, and the service was friendly. Drank outside with a view of the golf course.

Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. The most delicious Coronation Chicken Baked Potato, full of chopped apricots along with a tasty side salad. (Leek and Potato soup and Garlic Mushrooms also excellent) Even better, we were offered sausages for our dog. All in all a lovely experience.

Just dropped in here after walking locally. Had a decent pint of beer and a nice homemade type of scone. Nice views across the golf course from our outside table.

When we entered we were greeted straight away and asked where we would to sit, asked what drinks and provided us with a menu. Staff were very attentive, friendly and we had great conversation about our day as well as the employee taking our photo which was an extra nicety. Pancakes were great but are cold on arrival, lovely taste and texture but my daughter stated her bacon was far too overcooked and didn’t eat it which was a shame, overall a quiet quaint restaurant which was quite enjoyable after a manic morning

Great place (recommended by a friend) to give yourself the right energy to start your very pleasant visit to Pitlochry. I had the chance to taste the typical Scottish Breakfast in a vegetarian version, the sausages tasted great! The coffee was good (I'm Italian) and the service friendly, I will definitely return there on the occasion of the Enchanted Forest. 😍

Excellent food, and served in around 10 mins from order. Staff friendly and courteous. Photos show our lunch. I had the haggis dish, my partner the goats cheese and black pudding. Good value (£10 per person) Atmosphere is hard to rank objectively but the restaurant was clean and well presented.

This place is on the main road of Pitlochry. The the food was quite good in taste, and arrived without being unnecessarily delayed. Our server was actually quite courteous and fast. However - the lady at the bar, who seemed to control everything, was quite curt and insulting to the curstomers! I do not know what their usual timings are, but the day we were there, she made someone close the restaurant before it was 7pm even! Considering that all the other 3 restaurants in close vicinity are open and serving customers till past 9 pm, this was surprising. (We left without getting any desert, and went to the CoOp for buying some chocolate off the shelf just to finish our meal). The rating here would have been like 2 stars if it wasn't for our actual server who we could see was trying his absolute best to do everything quickly and courteously. (We heard him ask this lady why they were closing at 7!)

The restaurant is very cozy and has a lovely conservatory (probably need booking). The food was delicious too. We ordered the soup of the day and chefs special’s salmon spaghetti that came with the tastiest garlic bread. Although it was quite pricey but the portion was filling. Staff were nice but could have been a little more attentive as we waited a long time to order.

Loved the pizza, garlic bread and the strawberry milk shake. The lady at the reception greeted us with a great smile and while paying the bill the Man had a big smile as well ☺️. Overall It was amazing experience dining in. Service was fast.

A spacious dining room, comfortable seating, with fairly attentive waiters - just a bit too keen to renew your drinks order. But the food was just awful. I couldn’t finish mine, everything had this sharp acidic taste of jarred vegetables (I’m vegetarian), and every other mouthful of the Vegetable Balti came with grit, as if something hadn’t been washed properly. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he just took my plate and dish away, with no attempt at an explanation. And the bill is astronomical: it’s cheaper to far have a far superior curry in London, Birmingham or Glasgow.

Lovely little restaurant with good service. Unfortunately we should have read the reviews 😕 first time ive ever had rogan josh with whole tomato- awful. Hubby enjoyed his spicey vindaloo. But the price of roti and rice will bankrupt you. We've lived in the middle east where the price of the 1 roti here would give us an entire meal there. Also, roti and naan tasted doughy and baked rather than fired. Pretty sure our food was reheated from frozen. Unfortunately I don't recommend you eat here - tead the reviews people!

Meals were delicious, full of flavours and excellent palette. Pop in here by pure lucky dip and Prince of India becomes my favourite of all in UK! Both meals were take away. I'd love to see such a welcoming service in other UK restaurants. Thank You, and I'll come back whenever in Pitlochry.

What a lovely place to have a meal. We popped in mid-May, and it was hot outside. Nice temperature inside, though. Service was very friendly and quick. The food was served fast and hot (where appropriate). I would definitely recommend if you're up for a wee Indian.

I went to the Prince of India with my boyfriend this evening and I just wanted to say we had a great experience there. We got the lamb vindaloo and it was delicious and wonderfully spicy, and the lamb was perfectly tender. Everyone on staff was very kind to us and they checked multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our meal. The garlic naan and chapati were also delicious! I would absolutely recommend for anyone to eat here during your stay in Pitlochry :)

Really lovely staff and the room was amazing. Nicely decorated, cozy and spacious, with everything we needed. The kind of hotel room you can pass the time in comfortably if the weather is bad, not just a place to lay your head down at night. The food was outstanding, I highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant, and breakfasts were very good too. It's situated in very beautiful countryside.

A group of 7 friends, we booked for dinner here. The setting is lovely. They have a lovely bar and as they had a function on, we were booked into the "outside"room, which was actually inside and very nice. Pie if the day was AMAZING; chicken and mushroom but without the usual creamy gloop you often get, it had a lovely juice and was entirely contained within beautiful pastry. Others in our party had fabulous haddock and chips and steak burgers;all reported to be delicious! Gotta say the staff were very professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

I have ate in a lot of restaurants across Scotland and I can honestly say this is by far the best. The food was amazing, the pies are cooked to perfection, my partner had a pizza and it was delicious. Fantastic service with very friendly staff, generous sized cocktails. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, I will be making this my go to place every time I am in the area.

Was here to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday with family the meal was out of this world the staff so friendly and always went out of their way to oblige not just us as customers but the rest of the restaurant. Our table had terrific view of the Tay River the only one issue I had with my seat there was an old safe behind me which made it awkward to get in and out of my seat.It was awkward for me but it didn't spoil my experience of having an excellent meal. Make no mistake my family and I will be back to this place again. 10/10 from my family and me.

Had an excellent meal at this gem of a place while staying in the (also excellent) campsite over the road. They made us feel very welcome, the service was fantastic, the setting is gorgeous and we had a wonderful view out over the river. Food was delicious.

Came in for food and drinks after settling in to the nearby campsite for Heartland Festival. Food and service are top notch. Lovely views over the Tay. Stayed for the pub quiz. Lots of fun. Access using my electric wheelchair was good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Can't comment on the rooms but bar was excellent.

Had the best roast ever despite the lack of cauliflower cheese. Big potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, which were delicious, would have liked more veg but it didn't effect how nice it was. There is a reason the Loft has been voted best restaurant in Scotland and featured in so many good food reviews. The food is sublime and the service friendly. Our party of four had an evening meal tonight. The duck was succulent and tender, My venison was cooked to perfection and well complemented by a rich cherry sauce. Two of our party had the cod loin, big flakes of cod perfectly cooked . All our vegetables were steamed to perfection. The servers were attentive and friendly as were the owners. I would heartedly recommend visiting the loft for a gastronomical delight. 6/8/25.

The food here was absolutely phenomenal! I had the lamb and it came out perfectly. Everything on the plate was delicious and complimented each other wonderfully. The service was excellent and we received our food in a perfectly timely manner. I also ordered the creme brulee for dessert, and this was utterly divine. Overall, a perfect place for a lovely meal. The decor was lovely and made you feel right at home. I strongly reccomend coming here for one of the best meals you're going to have.

Came today for our 6th Wedding anniversary. Food and service was superb as always. We had the loft cater for our Wedding Reception and had a wonderful time. Food is always superb and that is why we travel up from Derby every year just to eat here and see the wonderful staff again.

The Loft in Blair Atholl is a true gem! The warm, inviting atmosphere and stunning views are matched only by the delicious food. Every dish is a testament to fresh, local ingredients. A perfect spot for a memorable and cozy dining experience.

This was a return visit to The Loft which we visited before when staying in Blair Atholl. It is a lovely restaurant, the atmosphere is calm and not noisy even though other diners are chatting. The service is wonderful and you are made to feel very welcome. The food is fantastic with a difference in choice which makes a change to other places and it always comes beautifully presented. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Stopped here mid-bike ride (route recce for the UCI Gran Fondo World Finals). Had never been before, but it was an excellent 'find'. Really good coffee, excellent scones, and a goodly range of cakes and bakes that looked far too tempting! 😋😋😋 A nice touch to see complimentary factor 50 sunscreen on the outdoor tables! A minor foul up with our order, but the staff went way over and above what was necessary to make things right! Bravo! I'll definitely be visiting again.

This place was wonderful and was a great we place to go for a little coffee. We stopped in by pitlochry as it was horrible weather the staff were lovely and the luxury hot chocolate is amazing definitely worth the price. Mt favourite was a smoothie very fresh and definitely great for a sunny day

We came twice during our visit to Pitlochry. Once for hot chocolate and cake and once for breakfast. Both visits were very pleasant. Service with a smile and excellent food. And the prices very reasonable. We'll definitely be back next time.

Fantastic small independent bakery/cafe, situated on Pitlochry's main shopping street. The food was home cooked, tasty, and reasonably priced. The staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Pitlochry.

I'd say my review is more of a 4.5 star. The staff was incredible and made you feel like family - particularly the concierges Stephen and Mark, as well as, the bartender, Oliver (Ollie). Shout out to Ollie for making THE BEST cocktails as well. The food was VERY good, but the service was quite slow whether it was dinner or breakfast. Also, it wasn't always accurate. Seems like each meal there was something forgotten. The rooms could also use a re-fresh and tidy. All that being said, I would absolutely stay there again. The setting on the loch is idyllic and it was a very wonderful stay!

If this is Fonab’s idea of a “tranquil spa experience,” I’d hate to see their version of chaos. My boyfriend and I paid £120 and drove an hour and a half for what was meant to be four hours of peace and relaxation and got about 30 minutes before it turned into a children’s pool party. A man and two kids came charging in to the pool/jacuzzi area with water toys and guns, shouting and splashing it honestly felt more like our local leisure centre pool than a luxury spa. When I complained, the receptionist basically shrugged and said, “He’s a member, there’s nothing we can do,” and apparently, this is a weekly occurrence every Sunday morning. So much for a relaxing spa, more like family fun hour! To be fair, we were told the outdoor hot tubs weren’t in use but we still paid full price, which only added to the disappointment. On top of that, the spa itself is looking very tired and clearly in need of some serious maintenance and care. We left after an hour, money wasted, morning ruined. It then took over a week for anyone to respond and a ridiculous seven weeks of chasing emails to finally get my refund. Overall, completely misleading, poorly managed, and nowhere near the “luxury tranquil escape” they advertise. Save yourself the disappointment as there’s nothing relaxing about this place except leaving it.

Nice hotel and the surroundings are lovely. Staff tried really hard to show that they are a higher class hotel. Our woodland lodge was nice but had a funny smell when walking in and was really cold but soon warmed up when putting the radiators on. No air conditioning so when room gets hot the only way to cool down was a £5 small fan which was disappointing. Nice enough room but not worth the money paid for the night as I travel a lot and can compare. Love the Spa area and the pool, so big plus and the lady colleague there was very pleasant The bar area was disappointing. I asked for a IPA that I buy at Tescos for £1.70 and was charged £9 plus 15% service charge. £10.50 for a low quantity Joker IPA !!!!!??? I understand prices be higher in a nice hotel but you would expect a higher quality products. 15 % service charge is not great. The price wasn’t on the menu for that product so in fairness i should have asked but never thought they would charged that. Tried to put a charity charge on my bill which I am ok with depending on the charity, if I had been asked the ok but not just putting in on about when it’s about saving trees! so that annoyed me. I would paid it if I was asked!! Overall I enjoyed my visit and the hotel and I would recommend to visit if you get a deal but with the value for what I got compared to other hotels then I would have to think hard before I go again but if there was a discount then I would consider. Keep up the good work and revisit your prices as you might get more volume rather than trying to push high margin. Pay premium prices then your products and food need to be top notch, not just because your classing yourself as a high class hotel

rating based on price - beautiful setting, and felt special/fancy. a few notes: given the caliber of hotel was somewhat surprised by what felt like slight understaffing (for instance, had to wait 20 min in the lounge and notify people we were there before anyone showed up to take order for afternoon tea; no one at breakfast when we arrived; longish wait to check in behind just one person because no one else was working the desk, no one available to drive us to the train station with our luggage etc). with that said, fantastic views, everything high quality, pool and hot tubs were lovely, worth a visit if affordable and def feels like a treat

This five star review is really for Concierge David who really gave great service. He picked us up from the train station and made my mom smile and laugh several times. This was worth more than the stay for me since we had recently lost my father. Anything that could make her happy made me happy. Also when anything was amiss in our room he was always the one to show up! A jack of all trades. Unfortunately, I didn't have access to change during my stay to give him a tip directly and wanted to show my appreciation by letting everyone know that he really is a big part of what makes Fonab a 5-star hotel.

Magical setting, third tier wildly overpriced hotel with service ranging from acceptable to laughable. Has to be reviewed contemplating cost and the relative value is very poor. Average smallish rooms, shower water pressure lacking with all other elements unremarkable. You’re staying in a nice house by a river for the price of a stunning castle. The service in the restaurant suggested that the entire staff had been under trained with tableware loudly laid down and removed. Main course delivered with the mumbled announcement of “ cod”. They were going through the motions. We had stayed at a real castle the night before that literally couldn’t be compared for the same price. The

Our stay at Fonab Castle was an absolute highlight of our trip. We were fortunate to stay in the penthouse suite, which was stunning — spacious, luxurious, and with incredible views. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. They were attentive, genuinely friendly, and even provided us with a ride into town, which was such a thoughtful touch. The spa experience was fabulous. We enjoyed relaxing massages, swam in the pool, and spent time in the hot tub — the perfect way to unwind. We also loved exploring the grounds, especially the hike along the river to the loch, which was both beautiful and so much fun. Throughout our stay, the staff made excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Every interaction felt personal and warm, making us feel truly cared for. Fonab Castle combines luxury, comfort, and incredible hospitality. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat.

Have been here twice before and food has been fine, unfortunately in February I was here and had a bacon and sausage roll and after that I was so sick, 3 months later i still have not recovered I went to drs back in February and was told possible food poisoning due to me not not having food after and it was the only thing I had to eat until I arrived here. Four months later I now have digestive issues . I will never be back here and certainly won’t be recommending

Burgers were really good and portions are generous. The service was very quick too, and the staff were really polite. Parking can be a wee bit tight though.

Small independent fule garage and truck stop with good turning despite its size service is excellent as is the food. Been in operation over 50 years on the site and some time before that too. For those with UK Fuels cards they are accepted here. Priced competitively.

We have driven past many times, but decided to book for Sunday lunch this year. Wow - so glad that we did. Brilliant communication by Jade and a fabulous Sunday lunch. Seriously, a most warm and friendly welcome and superb dining experience. Thank you all so much.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location! Perfect for a quiet getaway in beautiful Scotland! Jade and Antoinette are amazing hosts, it's clear they genuinely care about their guests, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean and the food is amazing 👌🏼 5 stars

Outstanding hospitality and a fabulous Sunday Roast (with a teapot of gravy!). We came for lunch after a full day of hiking. There was a warm fire burning and our table overlooked Loch Tummel. Thank you! We’ll definitely come again.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Inn at Loch Tummel with three people and were blown away by the experience. The host was fantastic! So friendly and welcoming, it felt very personal right from the start. The menu offers a great selection of dishes, and everything we tried was excellent: the risotto, chickpea curry, and chicken Milanese were all absolutely delicious. With the owner’s Italian roots, the food is a perfect mix of local flavours with an Italian touch… something really special in this beautiful setting. And as a bonus: Asahi beer on tap! Quite extraordinary and such a nice surprise. Highly recommended!

This is a place absolutely worth travelling TO. I ate here twice in my recent trip and it was the best food and service I had all holiday!! Everything I ate was exceptionally good, the chef clearly has a steady and skilled hand - the homemade pasta and sauce was sublime (like, eating in Italy standard)!! All the food was beautifully prepared and presented and really excellent quality, definitely several cuts above the 'average'!! As for the service, again, the best I'd had in my over 1000 mile road trip! What a lovely young lady, very helpful, welcoming, polite, genuine and warm! I didn't stay in their rooms, but if I visit the area again, I definitely would!! Amazing view across the Loch, beautiful flower garden. Thank you very much and best wishes for me & the pooches (oh yeah, they're wonderfully dog friendly too).

We stayed two nights at The Inn at Loch Tummel and it was outstanding from start to finish. Jade and Antoinette were amazing hosts. They were genuinely warm, welcoming, and so helpful with the couple of special requests we had. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness made the stay feel even more personal. The food was a real highlight. Between us we tried the chicken Milanese, bream, and ribeye steak, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The apple crumble was so good we had it both nights. Breakfasts were just as memorable with fresh, generous portions and delicious coffee to set us up for the day. We also had Sunday lunch and it was incredible. The flavours were beautiful and you can even get extra gravy served in a teapot. Who doesn’t want extra gravy? Our room was gorgeous, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches that made it extra cosy. Waking up to sweeping views over the hills and Loch Tummel was simply breathtaking. It is hard to imagine a more peaceful or beautiful spot. Whether you are coming for a special dinner, a Sunday roast, or to stay a night or two, this place is a true gem. Between the hospitality, the food, and the scenery, it is the kind of experience that stays with you. We cannot wait to come back.

Great location a short drive from Pitlochry. Jade was brill- responded to email queries quickly, lovely warm welcome and engaging throughout our stay. V nice room with comfortable bed, large en-suite ( fab power shower) coffee maker, highland fudge and some whisky !!! We had dinner at the inn which was really nice and what a view to enjoy whilst savoring a fabulous Sticky Toffee Pudding!! Breakfast was fabulous too. We loved every minute of our stay... my only disappointment is I can only give it 5 stars !!!

This is a beautiful place to stay making us feel at home. The quality of food and drinks were very high! The only reason why this gorgeous place only receives 4 out of 5 stars is the breakfast experience: one guy serving and cooking 15 people at the same time on his own is a masterpiece of work - for us it was a disaster! Very disappointed on the owner who absolutely saves money on the wrong place!

We stopped here for one night before travelling north to do the NC 500. Everything about The Old Manse was pure magic. The rooms were comfy and spotlessly clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

The food deserves 5 stars. It was outstanding! Presentation, flavours and portion size were top-notch. Absolutely brilliant meal! The space was also beautiful, with lovely decor. The service was not to the level you would expect for fine dining and definitely not worth the 15% service charge added to the bill. The email reminder about the upcoming reservation told us the set menu would be £65, and when we arrived it was £85. Go for the food, not for the service.

Booked for afternoon tea for 4. Warm welcome, staff wearing face coverings so we didn't have to. Shown to a large table for 'Social Distancing'. Prompt service. Four different types of sandwich, savoury tarts, sausage rolls. Nice selection of cakes and choice of teas or coffees. The let down was the scones. Not freshly baked and on the hard side. Really friendly staff and nice surroundings and a beautiful sunny day. Recommended.

Excellent experience. A beautiful setting, we were looked after wonderfully by our waiter. And the food was all excellent, a bit out the way but definitely worth the trip!

Went there for dinner 10/08/20 food was outstanding and staff were so friendly really went the extra mile to make your dinning experience special. Highlight of the night was the fire pit after the meal and finished your drinks under the stars nice touch great way to end the holiday.

Food is solid taste and presentation wise, but a significantly overpriced compared to the multi course excellent restaurants you have in the area or in Edinburgh.

The service and atmosphere it was amazing. It is a great stop on the way up to any trip northern like Inverness. My sandwich is amazing. They have some premade, which is the one I am holding. And the béchamel mushroom and tomatoes and cheese sandwich is delicious. They have kombucha, coffee, fresh, baked goods, and gluten-free and vegan options. I highly recommend. It only is a two minute drive off of A9

We had breakfast here before taking part in one of the activities. We both had the full breakfast and it was 10/10. The most flavourful breakfast I’ve had in a while and the coffee was really good too. We sat outside which lacked a bit of atmosphere being what looked like an old garden centre and sparsely decorated/furnished but the food really made up for it! (I opted for no beans but my partner said they were really tasty)

Decided to stop here before Pitlochry so glad we did. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a latte and a flat white. both excellent very good flavour and presentation, flat served in a thick glass lovely. Had Panini brie with extra bacon and Nae Limit brekkie very good full of flavour very tasty. Panini had a good amount of brie , chilli jam and rocket. On the side there was coleslaw and Rocket with balsamic creme, very tasty.the Brekkie a revelation excellent baked beans not Heinz was so good flavoursome, the sausages and black pudding was both very good in taste. 2 slices of very good home made bread cherry tomatoes grilled nicely and the egg cooked still runny bacon was very crispy great for spooning up the beans. All at a very reasonable price and a nice area for sitting with a warm log fire in the corner. P.S. The cakes, tray bakes are home made and we had to try a few just to be sure we will update when we have eaten them. Highly recommend.

Met with a lovely welcoming smile and charm after camping nearby in the monsoon 😅. Exceptionally friendly little collie was a total bonus and he/she was so curious (especially when the food came 😂). What other words can I say about the mega breakfast bagel, other than sensational! Homemade hash brown and sausage patty were a welcome change to traditional breakfast rolls. Every item had such a good flavour. The coffee was also great!

Great Cafe. Stopped off on our way south for a coffee (which we know is good having had it before). Nice selection of cakes and traybakes. The lemon drizzle and carrot cakes were both very tasty. Hadn’t planned to have lunch but saw pizzas being taken out to another table so ordered a pepperoni one with a side of Parmesan and Truffle chips. The pizza was delicious and the chips were the best P and T chips I’ve tasted in a while. Dog friendly with their own menu. Would definitely recommend.

What a great find! We stopped to charge our car and went to grab lunch at this cafe. We had a very warm welcome, the food was excellent, and the cafe had a great vibe. We sat in the glasshouse, which was airy and light, with excellent tunes on in the background. This was on our way back from a stay in the highlands, and probably the best meal we had (and we tried really, really hard to find good restaurants). 10/10

This was a lovely find, we went for Lunch as they had good reviews, my husband had a Nae Limits breakfast which he enjoyed very much, tasty and well cooked, he doesn't like mushroom so will remember to say next time, I had salmon bagel with lemon cream cheese, salad and delicious coleslaw I presume homemade as it was so good. (Excuse my photos as I had eaten about half before I remembered to take a picture lol! 😂 ) Polished off with coffee. Staff were nice and friendly! We will be back!!

Well what can I say, 100/10, the food is to die for honestly the best fish and chips we have ever had, beautifully cooked to perfection would recommend, the ladies are so lovely and kind. Would definitely come back on our next trip.

Small, locally run, golf clubhouse. Great, friendly service, reasonably priced drink with inside and outside seating. Been coming to Atholl and Tilt for years and never knew it was here. Worth the short walk from the campsite.

My boyfriend and I came in 2 minutes before the kitchen was closing (i believe it was 8 or 9pm) and they still welcomed us and served us some amazing food. The fish and chips I had beat any of my expectations for fish and chips. It was very very delicious. The atmosphere was very nice. We were welcomed by some locals watching football and they were very friendly. I would gladly recommend the place!

Great service and food as always. Now with Amber Rye from local brewery Wasted Degrees too. Always very welcoming. The range of food on offer is great and amazing what they can do with a small kitchen and staff size. Worth any wait knowing that the food is all freshly made to order. Great views too. Dogs also allowed in bar area. Booking highly advised for busy periods/large groups.

What a fantastic place. Do not be put off by the building view as you approach from the rear. The restaurant offers outstanding views and is well laid out with a great ambience. Service was super friendly and super professional, we wanted for nothing. The menu was a bit limited but the quality and taste was outstanding. I chose salmon and was blown away by the freshness, the flavour and the way it absolutely melted in my mouth. I have only had better Salmon once and that was on Padstow beach on 31st December 1999 cooked by Rick Stein but this was a very close second. The chef is superbly talented and this was the best meal of the trip and we had some great meals.

Great evening of good food and beer at reasonable prices, friendly staff and the cracking live band Tilt. Recommend reserving a table.

Always make an effort to stop here - Tina and the team are great, the food is always fresh & delicious. They cater really well for my dietary requirements, and it is in a lovely location.

Delicious range of bread and loads of filling choices. I got spoiled for choice as a vegan. Wonderful service. If I'm ever back in Pitlochry I'll be back in a heartbeat.

Lovely and welcoming staff, excellent subs and boxes with a wide selection of meats and salads. Tasty ice cream with full scoops. Chilled drinks to cool you down and hot drinks to warm you back up again. Brilliant wee shop where you get what you pay for. Would definitely visit again :)

Lovely little cafe with a friendly local vibe. We loved their array of hot dugs (hot dogs), milkshakes and ice-creams. Didn't get a chance to try the hot chocolate but the selection looked inviting!

Was going to go to Greggs but decided to give the sandwich bar a try. Was having chicken mayo in a roll. Had to ask for butter to be put on the roll of which it was a scraping. When I went to eat the sandwich it was dry and tasteless. Hate writing reviews but to be honest, wish I had stuck to my original plan

The soup was excellent and 2 pieces of hearty bread along with tea made for a welcome break. Others had bacon butties with thick bacon. Followed by tray bakes which were also very good.

I got a really warm welcome in a friendly cafè in a beautiful part of Scotland, their coffee is top notch, their awesome ice cream is produced locally and could only be fresher if they kept the cows in the freezer!

Family visit early afternoon 7 adults 1 toddler very quiet but met on entering and shown available small tables for 2 and 4 persons came for the best fish and chips and were not disappointed absolutely beautiful service and food everything was perfect a true delight.and a little highlight and fun was to be found in the gents toilets with the wacky toilet urinals.this was a wonderful visit to this great location beautiful decorated throughout very welcoming many thanks.

We love it here. We tried the goats' cheese salad on our first visit, and it was so good that we've been back for it many times... The rest of the menu looks incredible, too (we've seen some huge fish & chips being served to other tables) and they also always have a delicious-looking display of cakes and scones. Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect 5 star for me. Staff welcoming and engaging. Food presentation so fancy and equally tasty. Time efficiency is impeccable without being intrusive with customers having control with the service device that is provided on every table. You are given a choice to sit anywhere,reserved tables excluded. Men’s toilet is quirky fun located a floor below road level next to the women’s. The is a disabled toilet on the dining area level. Menu is extensive and so is the pudding section. My favourite is Julia’s cheesecake with fruit topping and sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce given in generous serves. The King dish of them all was the king ribs with sticky sauce. Impressive king size serve I had to take half of it home. It is the best one I have had so far. I was here about 3 years ago and believe me I came back because I remember how good the food was then.

We had a lovely time here. Both occasions were great. The fish and chips with panko are recommended. One of the best chips we had on our roadtrip. For the price you pay you get high value.

Best pub food amongst its league. Food is fresh and more than well cooked, also extremely reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the fish & chips and the beef stew!

We had our wedding at Ballintaggart farm in March. The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. We did everything by distance as we live in Australia and dealing with the Ballintaggart team was effortless. They made the whole process easy and enjoyable. The farm certainly looked idyllic online but once you visit in person you can truely feel the magic that this place is. A stunning property with valley views to match. All buildings with luxurious and comfortable finishings and an absolutely beautiful aesthetic. Wood fires throughout keeping you cozy. It was exactly how we had dreamt. Actually, better! We picked the farm as food was a very important part of our day. We knew that Ballintaggart had a reputation and they certainly lived up to it. The team came up with a personalised menu for us after we filled out a questionnaire. Our wedding meals were sensational, truely some of the best food we have experienced! And lots of it! Our guests were raving. The food was complimented by excellent cocktails (the best spicy margs!), beers and wines. These guys are super passionate about what they do and it shows. The service was first class. Warm, relaxed and professional, nothing was too much trouble. We cannot thank the whole Ballintaggart team enough for the absolute best weekend of our lives! We are already talking about when we can make it back for another visit. Cannot recommend this special place enough, if given the chance to visit do not miss it!

This place is insanely beautiful. We only stayed at The Steading for 1 night but I wished it was a full week. Such a peaceful retreat and just what we needed. The views are incredible. By far my favorite place on our 13 day trip. Already dreaming of coming back!! The hosts are so kind also which made it that much better!! Dinner was great at The Grandtully hotel too!

Stayed for 2 days while celebrating a friend’s wedding. Such a beautiful spot with spotless and comfortable accommodation. Staff were excellent on the wedding day, and the service and food were excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed but very foodie wedding venue.

We ate and stayed here on Saturday night when they had a Festive Feast tasting event. The food and wine was really delicious and interesting and plenty of it. The bedrooms couldn't have been nicer and were really stylish and comfortable. Our bedroom had a shower room with a separate bath in the bedroom by the window, looking out on the hills. Staff were really friendly and good fun too. All in all quite a unique place.

Stayed 5 nights at the steadings. Great space - large sitting area, 3 bathrooms, great outdoors space, comfy beds. Lucky that our visit coincided with one of their Sunday lunch feasts which was delicious

A friend and I spent 3 days/ 2 nights at Ballintaggart farm for the residential cook school. It was an excellent experience all around. Beautiful location- we stayed at the east end cottage. Excellent food- more than we could eat! Friendly and fun staff- special shoutouts to Fiona who is actually the best, and our chef, Dereick- but all the staff were friendly and helpful. Hope to make it back someday!

I attended the Bonfire Feast and I have to say it’s a wonderful experience. The food was incredible and the people I met and stories heard made for a fantastic evening.
