Tapas bar
Spanish restaurant
Casa Balbino is a traditional tavern located in the Plaza del Cabildo, at the heart of Sanlucar de Barrameda. It's renowned among locals and travelers for its high-quality hot and cold tapas, seafood specialties, and stews.
Drove from Jerez to try the tortilla de Camarones and they did not disappoint. Arrived around 12:30pm for lunch to avoid the crowd and glad we did since a long line formed later on. Each order comes with 2 pieces of perfectly seasoned and fried tortillas that is light, airy and yes, greasy! Soooo good! We also ordered Squid eggs in olive oil. Not my favorite. It needed more salt or seasoning in my opinion but luckily we ordered clam in garlic, olive oil sauce which was delicious and plenty of sauce leftover to share with the squid eggs. 😉 Fish eggs were average. It was very pleasant to sit in the outdoor area with beautiful flowers and a flowing fountain nearby. Glass display case with all the dishes and ingredients clearly visible inside the restaurant.

The food was delicious, had lunch on a Friday and needed to join a short line but it was worth the wait. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere in the square was hopping. Make sure to try the tortillas de camerones ❤️
Ruth F — Google review
I've been visiting Casa Balbino every year when I visit from abroad. The quality of food is always first class, delicious tapas, both hot and cold. Everything fresh and totally traditional to the region. Tables in the main square are a hot commodity so often there's a wait. Try to get there early if you can! There are also tables on the side alley - less nice but if you visit mainly for good food, won't matter much where you sit. One time we had less than pleasant experience when we visited with my elderly suegra. She walked with a rollator, we were 5 people but got seated in a small table for 4 in the alley, despite bigger tables being available there. Granted, it was rush hours so possibly they were keeping larger table in case a bigger group comes. At the end there wasn't any bigger group so a couple got seated at a large table while we were squished at a 4 person table, being 5 people plus a walker. Aside from that little hiccup, love this place. Best tortillas de camarones around!
Jas E — Google review
The food have been amazing, the service have been fast, the taste of all the dishes have been incredible. The most delicious dish at least for my was Gambas al ajillo Maybe the service need to be more discreet when talk with between them but in general have been amazing.
Carlos T — Google review
Very nice Tortilla de Camarones! Worth for that. For sitting down we had to wait but it goes fast. Service was a bit slow but they were swamped.
Alejandro R — Google review
Join the queue and it will worth waiting! It’s located in a lovely corner of the Plaza. It’s definitely a true tapas experience. Everything was tasty and the value/quality is just top! I loveeeeeeed the clams in sherry sauce and the stuffed aubergine with shrimps! Would love to come back!
Güliz C — Google review
Went for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. Got seated right away. Waiter gave us a menu card, asked what we wanted to drink then disappeared. 10 mins later, another waiter brought us 2 riojas when we'd asked for verdejo. About 10 mins later we got our drinks. We noticed that several tables had been seated after us. Another 15 mins passed and I started asking wait staff to take our order. They each said they'd send our waiter. He passed by several times and kept saying he'd be right with us. All the while he was taking lunch orders from tables that had been seated after us and bringing them food. Finally I was able to get him to stop and talk to me. I admit I was angry at that point. I pointed out to him that 2 tables were already eating their lunch while we hadn't even been given a chance to order. He got verbally combative with me, said that those tables had flagged him down and said we should have done the same. Idiot. I wasn't going to argue with him anymore, I asked him for a complaint form. He pretended not to know what I was talking about. I asked for our wine bill which was 6€. Paid the bill and left. We were there for almost an hour. I will never go back to this awful place.
Dolores M — Google review
We went at the recommendation of Jose Andres like most Americans. I was skeptical because of what a scene it is, but we had a great experience. The tortillas de camarones were the draw, and they were good but the gambas y berenjena were next level, as were the adobo. Be bold and order past the usuals here! Staff was fast but lovely.

Casa Bigote is a charming spot located in Sanlucar de Barrameda, offering a relaxed atmosphere and serving a variety of seafood dishes and local cuisine. The restaurant is run by the Hermoso family, spanning three generations, adding to its authentic appeal. Visitors can enjoy their meal on the terrace or at the bar while taking in the lively ambiance. The establishment has garnered praise for its succulent and flavorful seafood dishes that are expertly prepared.
The first floor dining room with sea view was amazing. Most dishes were tasty and fresh, but the cooked prawns (langostinos cocidos) were clearly the best.

Get there early to get a place at the bar. No need to reserve at the restaurant to have amazing food. We will go back for the ova and the buñuelos! The prices for the fried fish are really good for the quantity and quality. My wife loved the cazuela and it was so filling!
Benjamin — Google review
You can tell how good this place is by the queue for the unbookable outside tapas tables. They get claimed well before the place even opens. We booked ahead and ate in the restaurant. Food was exceptional and service also spot on. Not to be missed if you are in Sanlucar.
John W — Google review
Great seafood/produce. We had tomato salad with fresh tuna, the famous Sanlucar shrimp (boiled and eaten cold), mixed fried seafood, and yogurt ice cream. Simple and satisfying.
Sevgi Y — Google review
We sat at the bar and ordered mostly fish tapas as the restaurant was fully booked. We were in Andalucia for 10 days and this was probably the best food we had with amazing value for money. Everything we had was very tasty and the price was almost unbelievably low. 100% recommended.

Incredible value for money in a historic bar with very friendly staff. We didn’t sit in the restaurant but had tapas in the bar, best place we visited in sanlucar

Very good food. Quality ingredients and produce. Very fine olive oil, and seafood. We repeated on the same trip twice. Try the Cod Burgers, langostinos and Corvina.

Mirador de Doñana is a renowned seafood restaurant in Sanlucar, offering a rich variety of traditional dishes that highlight the local flavors. The philosophy of the restaurant revolves around respecting and showcasing locally sourced products, including fresh produce from the region, wines from nearby wineries, and seafood from the sea. Situated at Bajo de Guia with stunning views of the national park, it's an ideal spot to savor Andalusian delicacies while enjoying picturesque surroundings.
Great little place right next to the sun dial marking Magellan's departure point. Didn't have any food, but service and atmosphere were great.
Marco R — Google review
Although the weather wasn’t good, but still plenty of people. The food was excellent from the Russian salad to the chocolate mouse and the service was fantastic very friendly and guided me to the nearest ramp access. Thank you. By the way not cheap.
Danny W — Google review
Mirado Donana Restaurant offers a prime location that steals the spotlight – right in front of a mesmerizing sunset sea view. The captivating setting alone is worth a visit. The food and service both fall under the 'okay' category, leaving room for improvement. Perhaps it's the sea breeze that adds a unique touch to the experience. It's worth noting that dinner starting at 9:00 pm offers a chance to embrace a leisurely evening. With the breathtaking sunset as a backdrop, Mirado Donana is a spot where nature's beauty takes center stage. A solid 3.5 stars for its exceptional location and the promise of better things to come.
Mai L — Google review
One star because of the attempted swindling of customers. 70% of the food was okay but several dishes had to be sent back due to being too salty. Im short we received the bill and noticed that we had been charged for 1.5kg Urta instead of 800grams. We brought this to the attention of the waiter and requested to speak to the manager. The waiter returned almost ten minutes later and stated that he mistakenly charged us food from another table. The waiters actions seemed rehearsed.
Rob K — Google review
Scappate! Ladri assoluti. Menu senza prezzo, due gamberoni 51 euro. Da denuncia se non fosse che era a cena ed era tardi. State alla larga. Stay away! Absolute thieves. They Don’t have the price on the menu and Let us pay 51 euros for 2 prawns. We should have called the police but it was late in the night and couldn’t wait. Don’t go!!!
Pao L — Google review
A big disappointment. We ordered dorada fish. It didn't look good when it arrived and didn't taste good so didn't eat it. The waitress said it was cooked with olive oil. We understood that but it was like wet cottonwool. She came back and said it wasn't dorado, so they wouldn't charge us. Nobody came to apologise, and at that price they were trying to get away with dumping fish on unsuspecting 'foreigners'. We live in Spain, so beware of what you're paying for!!
Pip W — Google review
The staff are absolute and utter disgraces to what is normally great Spanish hospitality. Maybe because we were not locals/spanish I'm not sure but there is no excuse to be so rude. I will never return to that place and whoever is in charge should be ashamed of themselves. Completely unacceptable and inappropriate behaviour from all. Absolutely disgusted with the whole experience. Never ever ever shall I return to that hell hole.
Kevin T — Google review
After some thought, I have chosen the 1 star rating to express the frustration of feeling outright scammed. The restaurant billed us for almost double the amount of fish that our table was able to eat. They surely got their extra euros from our table but they will not see me there again.

Fantastic menu. The food is top quality with balanced flavours. Excellent selection of local wines. Friendly staff. A great choice for casual fine dining in Sanlúcar

Most definitely worth it. El Espejo is a hidden gem in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. We loved every single piece of food that was on our plates tonight, and trust that they are Michelin recognized for a reason! We ordered mackerel (fish) in pea and seaweed puree, cheese board, Sea urchin mousse, grilled red shrimp, Fideua with San Lucar prawns, and Beef cheek with sweet potato puree.
MAURICIO R — Google review
Great lunch on a friday. Salmorejo was very good and the solomillo too. The tuna tartar, in my opinion, was overseasoned. Tuna quality was very good. Service also efficient professional not too stiff or formal. And the wine recommend I enjoyed a lot. The cava could have been colder. The espresso was good to finish it all off. There was no room to try the desert. Perhaps next time.
Schhol777 — Google review
We very much enjoyed two evenings at this great restaurant, a wonderful space with tables in the courtyard and an inside space both at the front of the restaurant and to the side of the courtyard. The menu is simple, with great local produce and creative cooking. As a lover of Sherry I enjoyed some seriously good wines recommended by the guys who looked after us, including some very limited VOS and VORS wines. The wine list was packed with some super interesting local wines from the Cadiz province as well as some bargains from the classic regions of Spain. Thank you team, we will return.

Some standout recommendations include the tuna tartare, oxtail, and almond cake for dessert.
Wonderful lunch, helpful and friendly staff dealing with our lack of Spanish, worth a visit just for the langostine brioche

Amazing place, food was so delicious. Had a Burger craving and a close local friend recommended the restaurant and was absolutely fabulous. Of course had to order some entries of fresh seafood which were superb. Definitely coming back.

This restaurant now under new management shows an instant improvement. Serving a combination of traditional dishes and some which have been changed to add their modern take. A good element of fusion here but subtle enough to still make it feel local. Book a table or you will not get in.

Sarah R — Google review
Excellent food and different tapas than the normal fried fish you get in Sanlucar
Ian A — Google review
I don't eat fish or seafood so I am rating this place on the service and non seafood dishes. The meat croquetas are delicious and the wolfman burger is very good. My absolute favorite dish is the duck risotto. It has a savory intense flavor that isn't overpowering. It's shredded duck with perfectly cooked risotto. They also have photos available to show you each of the dishes before you order in case you are torn between options. The service is stupendous! They didn't speak English at lunch but were willing to help in any way possible. You can't go wrong at La Lobera for lunch or dinner.

Didn't mean to eat here but so glad we did. Excellent food, excellent service & a very friendly place. It was busy but we got a table & one of the well dressed staff was soon with us taking our order. The baby squid in sauce was delicious as was the tuna with dressed potatoes & shrimp croquettes.

Reasonably priced tapas lunch. Had to put name down to get table but waited less than 10 minutes for outside table. Service was slow (hard to get their attention & busy) but food worth the wait. We enjoyed langoustines, albondigas in tomato (slightly soft and tasted cumin), shrimp camarones (really good, and big) and local speciality of potato with mackerel (definitely worth a try and nicer than it may sound!). With 2 glasses of Manzanilla. €28 altogether so really good value.

Wow! Delicious food and great service. This was my first experience at this restaurant and it was wonderful. Very friendly staff and inviting environment. I really loved the Calamari here, too. Bathroom very clean and they had paper which is very important! I recommend this place to anyone who is still eating very normal food from Rota. Lovely place. They have seafood, meat, and snails. The entire family was pleased, ages 27-55. I recommend parking around the street or dropping your family off on the side of the road.
Tashana F — Google review
Food was really good, the taste and the quantity was perfect, and prices were incredible. The only thing was that the service was not as attentive or reliable as someone could expect. For example, when ordering it was taking some time, maybe because the kitchen was struggling with the orders or maybe because all the servers were all over the place and maybe four taking care of the same table instead of maybe one specific or similar. We also have that, when ordering and specifying that there’re intolerances on the table, instead of feeling heard at least my group and I felt dismissed and even kind of ignored as we didn’t know if it was acknowledged or not… And it is important as it can be something fatal to someone if it’s not taken into consideration and also giving the ‘okey’ when you have been told so… I personally liked the place, but it was the service that made the experience somehow a bit sour…
Kris T — Google review
Great place to enjoy a large selección of seafood and meat. The tapas are quite big, so its the best way to share and try different dishes. We went for the local langostinos from Sanlucar and they were amazing! It’s smart to book before hand as the place gets completely full. Servers are very friendly and advice you well if you ask for guidance. I think this place is must in Sanlucar.

Came here for lunch. Came as had the best rating on the strip. We all had a fish dish, however the marinara sauce and fish was bland and under seasoned. Two Of the dishes had to be returned as cold. Average at best unfortunately. Service very functional. Look elsewhere.

Back again after a gap of a few years and this is still the standout restaurant along the riverside. Very efficient and friendly service and excellent fresh produce brilliantly cooked. We gorged on shellfish and deep fried sea anemones- all so fresh and sweet it was a treat. Just ask for whichever colour of wine you want and the house wine will be local and excellent. Tip: ignore the huxters outside the terraces at the front of all these places. Instead go behind (there's a pavement between the terraces and the actual restaurants) and check out the seafood in the display cabinets inside. It's the only way to differentiate between ten otherwise identical places. We wanted shellfish and they had absolutely the freshest here and they cooked them perfectly. Pescadito Frito and a glass of beer are cheap hereabouts but shellfish and good fish cooked on the grill are expensive everywhere. (Though, compared with London, my hometown, it's almost given away here and better than almost anything you can find there.) This place certainly was worth the trip!

Try the clams (house style), maybe with a glass of Manzanilla sherry (they have over 30 different ones!!!), but also a rosé works well - Loved it! And we had a super nice waiter as well. Thank you!

9pm; we were given a table right on the River. Amazing views. The waiters were great - and asked our preference and gave their advice. An all round feel good sort of place. The food was good. Not extra special! But good all the same. We had to smile when the horse arrived! 😊☺️

Would make a special trip to go here again! Spectacular food, corvina hamburguresa with delicious sauce a must. Arroz a la marinada, almejas a la abuela., cold tuna salad. Excellent service

This is fish restaurant next to the river. Inside is typical Spanish and outside in the covered terrace one feels really like a tourist. The food is okay but not spectacular and the portions are small. I had the zarzuela and when I was asking for rice as a side dish I got the answer that I had to choose something else. So there comes no rice, pasta or potatoes with zarzuela. The waiters were not particularly friendly. It’s accessible for wheelchair.

While the location & service was good, the food was very underwhelming. We ate prawns, fried seafood platter & salad. Prawns were expensive, not convinced they were freshly cooked & were served without a finger bowl or dipping sauce. The fried platter was so boring and once again no dipping sauce, or even a few chips. Neither dish came with lemon! The salad was ok.

It's recommended to try their spectacular paella-style rices, such as the seafood rice tinted black with cuttlefish ink.
Delightful Culinary Experience in Sanlúcar. My recent dining experience at Veranillo de Santa Ana was exceptional. We were greeted by an inviting and stylish atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening. The modern decor with elegant touches perfectly complemented the innovative cuisine, creating a harmonious blend of style and substance. The food was a true masterpiece, not only visually stunning but also bursting with flavor. The presentation was exquisite. Beyond the aesthetics, the taste was divine, leaving our taste buds dancing with delight. Service was impeccable throughout. The staff was attentive, ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive. The ambiance here is something special, striking the perfect balance between relaxed and refined. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal, savoring every bite, while also feeling like you’re part of something truly special. This is a really lovely restaurant. Good setting; close to the sea front but not overlooking. We sat on the verandah with the over hanging vines completing the green cocoon. We had the scallops and cod salad which were both delicious and generous portions. One of the fish of the day was sea bass that came filleted and was cooked to perfection. Santiago, our waiter was helpful and made very good suggestions. Finally this is ridiculously good value for money.

It is a very nice place, it's small and quiet and that makes it perfect for when you want a quiet relaxed dinner. These are the types of places I just love reviewing. I was looking for a quiet place to have lunch and I found this gem. I don’t know the name of my waiter but he did a great job 10/10 service. The food took me by surprise, the avocado with prawns tapa was tasty, and the chicken with provolone was also nice on my tastebuds, whatever tomato sauce they used made it 10x better and the provolone couldn’t have come out at a better heat. The tacos go for €10 for 2 which might make you second guess ordering them but those also took me by surprise. They had a very generous amount of meat apart from being good, the only thing that was missing is a little peace of lime to squirt on the tacos. Price for food was also great.

We were served with the most regard to quality. As it showed when the waiter brought us a new beer as he guessed the glass was too hot to bring up the flaiboursof the local brews. The restaurant provides excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere that makes visitors feel at home. Guests can enjoy their meals right on the beach, adding to the overall experience.
We arrived there by a local recomendation. The place was awesome, our table was located in the actual beach sand, lovely. The food was simply amazing, we took recommendations from the waiter and it was delightful. I would not order the tortillitas de camarones again, but it is the only but that I can find to this place.

It might be that we came the wrong day and maybe also order the wrong thing, but everything was a disaster. The food was far from being good. Not even close. As an exception the fried sole fish. Service was chaotic and the place is far from being clean. Two stars because of the views, but just that... There things that are unacceptable like the service smoking within the tables. Taking down the face mask, sweeting like pig, and removing the sweat with the polo-shirt. Revolting
Jose V — Google review
We waited for 1h, they gave the table to someone else and barely apologized for it- not even suggesting an alternative while there were free tables inside. The olives that we had while waiting were very average and the staff unresponsive. We even had to ask 5 times to be able to pay before leaving. By far one of the worst experiences i've had on vacation

(Translated by Google) We really wanted to go to this place because we had heard very good things about it. We arrived early and they served us quickly, we took advice and the truth is that we were quite surprised by the quality of their cuisine, but as the place and their tables filled up, the service got worse to the point of having to wait more than half hour for them to bring us the bill and another hour for them to charge us. Good cuisine, traditional with some touches of innovation but service that could be greatly improved. (Original) Teníamos muchas ganas de ir a este sitio porque nos habían hablado muy bien de él . Restaurante Los Corrales is situated on the bustling Sanluquena avenue in La Calzada. The restaurant offers a wide terrace for outdoor dining and serves homemade Spanish cuisine at affordable prices. Visitors have recommended dishes like grilled squid, fish with roasted peppers, monkfish, oxtail, and seafood rice. The food is described as delicious and fresh, with well-seasoned options and most bones removed from the fish of the day.
Amazing food that is very well made. The restaurant is very pretty and the servers are friendly. Great place for a large family meal together. Only had one instance where the restaurant was out of something and the server didn't tell us. Instead of not coming back to tell us they were out, she just didn't bring it and didn't acknowledge the order. After being in the restaurant for a while and eating everything else, we asked why the particular plate was not brought to us and we were told they were out, which would have been nice to know so we could order something else. Otherwise, great food and great service.

My first visit, so we'll see if the next one measures up as well. Certainly would come back. Recommend by a local family. We had Calamar a la plancha (grilled sqid), corvina sobre pimientos asados (fish with peppers) and the fish of the day. The fish of the day was well seasoned and most bones removed. The squid was very tasty and fresh. Update: I've been here multiple times now and have had virtually everything on the menu. The monk fish, rabo de torro, and aroz marinara are all excellent. Just make sure you arrive when the kitchen is open (i.e. before 4pm or after 8pm) to have the best experience. Sometimes the waitstaff are young and inexperienced, so don't be afraid to ask someone else. We had asked a senior waiter for aroz marinera, but the young waiter said they didn't have it. They delivered and in general will try to make the customer happy.

The beef Hamburger was disgusting, with almost no meat in it. I don't know what they did to it but it is the worst burger I have ever tasted in my life. We also did not receive half our order ( Frito Varido). After waiting nearly 30 mins and everybody who came after us being served their meals, we left with 2 of us having not received our meal.
Paul M — Google review
Salpicon de mariscos was ON POINT. Waiters are slow to acknowledge presence but ince they attend to you, they are quick and professional. One waiter ( wears glasses and has a ready smile) who worked largely behind the bar was friendly, engaging and responsive the three times i went. The thing i like the least is the waiters all yelling towards the kitchen. This, coupled with the dull roar of other people can make it overwhelming.

Nestled in the charming Calle Truco, where the vibrant Barrio Bajo meets the lively Barrio Alto, Taberna La Cigarrera is a delightful spot to indulge in local cuisine while soaking up the atmosphere of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. This picturesque tavern boasts an expansive courtyard that comes alive with flamenco performances, making it a perfect place for an afternoon escape.
We did not eat here, we took the English speaking tour of the winery. Our host Laura was very charming and told us all about the production methods and the different types of sherry that they produce here. Afterwards we had a tasting (3 glasses each, 6 different sherries) in the patio. Altogether we spent about 1 hour and it was very pleasant.

The taverna is very authentic just beside the wine barrels. I went on a tour which is well worth to experience. You learn about the local wines and at the end there is a degustation, so you can easier choose which wines you prefer. I was going for the red sweet one...., but manzanilla is also good to take it with food.

Thursday evening. Google said open, the website said open, the sign outside said open. It was closed. 3 stars because I ate here previously and it was excellent.
NickJG — Google review
Despite the friendliness of the waiter, the restaurant's policy seems to be energetically pushing dishes and drinks onto the customers and bullying them. First, it was some house wine that "everyone has" in the restaurant. Some of us thought it was a welcoming drink. We agreed to take it only to find it to be too alcoholic and we were unable to drink it. As per the picture attached  taken at the end of the meal. Secondly, after "negotiating" the dishes, we found them all greasy and oily. Finally, when we questioned the bill with the wine and a service charge and asked to talk with the manager, he came in just to confront and bully us. After reading the other reviews here, we confirmed that this service and practices are part of their organizational culture. I would not return here even if I was being paid for it.
Ricardo S — Google review
Our guide made this place a final stop of our tour; Through the ambient cellar that housed numerous barrels of wine still maturing and into the open air patio which was naturally shaded by greenery. Our server lead us to another section of the restaurant which had us seated next to more barrels. We've sampled the wine, to my own opinion was delicious. The food served was delectable yet affordable. The atmosphere overall had a rustic, homely feel that made the entire experience enjoyable. I encourage anyone who visits this city, should definitely head to this restaurant.

Magical courtyard when I visited on a Sunday, Oct 2018. Families on their sobremesas, the fat lady sings, perfect festive atmosphere all round to soak up the afternoon. If you prefer a market-to-table experience, pick up 500g-1kg of fresh Sanlucar de Barrameda langostinos from the mercado a short walk away and bring them here to be cooked a la plancha (grilled), al vapor (steamed)... And order up the pride of Sanlúcar... dry sweet-salty MANZANILLA! 📌 Attached menu for your perusal

Great service, food and location by the beach! The waiter was very helpful and attentive, the food was excellent! Local fish dishes ( tuna lovers will appreciate) , stews for stew lovers, and the location is the best right by the beach. Good value for money, and plates are quite generous. We were there in July around lunch time the beach was empty and we were able to enjoy a quite meal by the sea, nd the outdoor seating area is shaded. I would definitely be back again!!!

Poor food and customer service I was served boquerones fritos ( fried anchovies) which were cooked whole but not cleaned. They were fried with the guts still inside. This rendered the dish inedible as the guts were bitter and the taste spread through the fish. When I complained to the waiter I was informed that this is how they cook them in Sanlucar de Barrameda. I have had fried boquerones in every part of Spain and never have I had them served uncleaned with the guts still inside. The waiter did not express any concern or apologize and neither did he offer to replace the dish with something else. I complained to another waiter who said the same thing, did not express concern or offer to knock them off the bill. When I asked another chef the next day if it was normal to serve fried boquerones with the guts inside and he was disgusted. He was actually at the time serving fried boquerones which were cleaned and gutted.

Maybe we just ordered the wrong food but everything we had was not good. Gyoza that was not gyoza. Chilli crab with commercial sweet chilli sauce. Bao that was effectively an egg and bacon sandwich. Tortolini that was cold and covered in a sweet custardy sauce, rendering it inedible. And slow, quixotic service.

Really cool spot for a sunset dinner by the ocean. There are so many restaurants to choose from here, we went along with others to this one. The Sanlúcar clay coquinas were outstanding, with a spectacular sauce. The seafood rice was excellent. The pickled tuna was superb, and the cuttlefish were delicious. And what can I say about the chickpeas with menudo? Finger-licking good. Among the weaker dishes, though also good, was the cuttlefish and shrimp salad. But overall, everything was great, the service was friendly and attentive, and the place was very pretty. I'll definitely come back when I return to Sanlúcar. The quality and price are very good. A very 'local' bar, very few tables but they don't start serving hot food until 9.30pm so arrive late no seats, arrive early no food. That said manzanilla at €1.10 per glass is the best value in Sanlucar

We are familiar with Sanlucar, but today we stumbled upon this inn restaurant called BAR RESTAURANTE LA CEPA. The prawns are delicious and full of freshness, the marinera clams provide a perfect accompaniment for soups, and the meson al amontillado dish is absolutely delightful. Not to mention, their service is commendable and the prices offer great value for money.
(Translated by Google) It is a restaurant about 13-15 minutes from the Plaza del Cabildo where the food is exquisite. We ate the best octopus salad we have ever had. It has an extensive and good quality menu. What we liked least were the coquinas, although they were also good. It was a little hot inside. It doesn't have outside tables. We went during the week and out of season, we didn't need to book.

(Translated by Google) Very good treatment, exquisite attention, good wine, good beer. The breaded sea bass is spectacular, and the croquettes are exquisite. We also liked the detail of the waiter when he made it clear to us that since it was Monday the fish was not fresh that day. I recommend to try typical Sanlucar dishes. The only bad thing, to put it somewhat, is that they don't have chamomile sparrow. But this detail is just to put it. (Original) El trato muy bueno, la atención exquisita, buen vino buena cerveza. La corvina empanada espectacular, y las croquetas exquisitas. Además nos gustó el detalle del camarero al aclararnos que al ser lunes el pescado no era fresco del día. Restaurante EntreBotas is a hidden gem nestled in the charming patio of Bodegas Hidalgo la Gitana. The restaurant offers a delightful ambiance, especially with its outdoor seating area surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea and the aroma of manzanilla. Visitors can also partake in the Entrebotas Experience, which includes a sherry tasting and bodega tour followed by a delectable meal at the restaurant.
This has been our best restaurant experience in Sanlucar by far. The place is located in a courtyard between two buildings next to a winery what it add character to the space. Everything we got was delicious, we specially liked the recommendation for the menu (steak tartar) and the rabo de toro empanadillas The wine we selected was not that good, but probably was bad luck. I’ll definitely return next time I come back to Sanlucar.
Alberto A — Google review
Who'd have believed it? Local Sanlucar folk having a knees up & doing the conga! That said, albeit beside a lovely bodega, this is a proper restaurant serving outstanding food. I tried a salady salmon (dados de salmon) & regaña de atun (homemade savoury biscuit with slithers of fresh tuna) and a Focaccia dish. Mightily fine and sensibly priced. Can't rate high enough unless you happen to catch the punters at the end of bodega tour having a rowdy 'one for the road' at the outdoor bar.

Superb location. Friendly staff. Food was fine
Guillermo C — Google review
We were very disappointed with the overall experience. The food was good but not great the starter - rocket, burrata and anchovies salad- was outstanding but the rest of the food was just ok. However the staff were not friendly or welcoming- the service they gave to Spanish customers was completely different to the service we received. Disappointing as the venue could be memorable but didn’t live up to setting
Alan M — Google review
The worst food I have been served in Spain. Dry overcooked fish and vegetables. The vegetables were nuked more than once- More interested in serving a big event in the Bodega than the A La carte Menu customers.

What a change in 6 months it has gone from a must visit to one to avoid. It no longer has the appeal and style of a bar associated with the La Gitana name. Suddenly they appear to no longer care. 😭

Restaurante Venta "El Menuito" offers a diverse menu featuring local fish from the bay such as Dorade, Urta, Weissbrasse, and Seebarsche. Additionally, they serve meat dishes like Carne de Retinto beef and fresh seafood from Sanlucar de Barrameda. The restaurant provides a children's play area and a banquet hall for special occasions. Despite its appearance resembling a roadside rest stop, "El Menuito" surprises diners with exceptional cuisine.
Everything is excellent. Waiter recommended a local fish, cooked on the BBQ closed but cleaned( not split open) to preserve flavor and moist. VERY GOOD ADVICE, we had a wonderful plate. Safe stop for great food!

Amazing food and friendly staff! We ordered barbecue set for two people and it was like a mountain! It was yummy but we couldn’t finished because it’s A LOT!!! There was just 2 annoying tables which they smoke next to “no smoking sign”. They didn’t care if there is a child there.

This restaurant has patio seating and indoor seating. Outside there is a misting system which goes off every minute to keep you cool on the patio during the day. They offered is an English menu when they realized we were American. The menu is full of meats, fish, breakfast style foods such as steak and eggs with potatoes. Jose was our server, he speaks a little English and will do what he can to make your experience pleasant.

If you're on the hunt for a culinary adventure, look no further than Bota Punta Taberna. This charming eatery is helmed by the talented duo of Santiago Gonzalez in the kitchen and Daniel Jimenez managing the dining area, creating an atmosphere that blends traditional cuisine with a playful twist. The menu features refined dishes that highlight local flavors, making it a delightful choice for those seeking authentic regional fare without breaking the bank.
It is hard to describe how great the food is here so I will not try. One suggestion: get the salad, whatever it is, it will be delicious

Absolutely Outstanding! Our first night in Sanlúcar and this place completely exceeded our expectations. The menu changes every two weeks — everything is super fresh, creative, and full of authentic Andalusian flavors with a fine dining twist. Every single dish was outstanding, and even the bread, olive oil, and wine were exceptional. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and friendly, gave us great wine recommendations, and even let us taste before deciding. The whole multi-course dinner was amazing value for money — fine dining for a small price! Creative cuisine, excellent food, great service. We’re already planning to come back on our next trip!

A really nice restaurant, I would say almost a fine-dining experience. Refined dishes with very much a local/regional emphasis. And, of course, much better value for money than to be found in a big city. Friendly but unobtrusive service. Give it a try. For less than 25 Euros each, we really couldn't have eaten much more for lunch. Admittedly that was with beer rather than wine, but nonetheless.

Had a good meal here for lunch while on a recent visit to Andalucia. We were 4, two children (13 & 10) 2 adults. Interesting menu with good ideas.. Everything was delicious. Service professional.. It was lunch, so the atmosphere was quiet.. There were other couples with children younger than ours, but clearly child friendly.

A really great restaurant in Sanlúcar. It's nouvelle cuisine. There's so many guys traditional restaurants in Sanlúcar and this one offers something different and it's amazing. I highly recommend muscles in salmorejo, albóndigas or brioches. The wine menu is amazing as well.

A great find. Having stayed in Sanlucar several times this is a relatively new restaurant. They have a great passion for the food they produce. The style is relaxed. The food is amazing, the duck meatballs were especially good as were the scallops. The staff are welcoming and very friendly.

Excellent chef who can use vegetables very well -you just have to ask! Not all speak English there -so get google translate into action and discuss what you could have. We decided to check out this restaurant after seeing it had a discount on the fork and it looked worth the visit. The food wasn't bad but also not amazing but there were some problems that made me understand why all the restaurants around were so crowded and this one was almost empty. 1. We asked for croquetas (a classic) and the waitress explained they would send mixed flavours and asked if we had any allergies or so. We said we didn't like the ones with choco and she assured they didn't even had them. Surprise, surprise; two croquetas with black filling and something that really tasted like choco. I called her asking what taste was that and she said she was pretty sure it was cod fish... Well I come from a fish region and that wasn't cod, the black filling wasn't cod's and it tasted exactly like the choco croquetas we had before and did not like 2. Beers ... Even though they weren't as cold as wished, the best part was when the receipt came and they had a different price from the menu to which the waitress said that those prices were wrong and when June comes The prices change. That said I remind her she didn't tell me any of this and she couldn't sell something which is in the QR code menu she recommended and then say it isn't updated when you finished your meal. Still, I asked if she had an updated menu with the real prices, and she said she did not. So she recommends you an online menu and only tells you the prices are not correct when you have to pay and on the top doenst have any updated menu ? You must be kidding , that's not a serious business

Casa Hermandad Virgen del Carmen is a modest and family-oriented establishment located near Casa el Bigote on Calle Pintor Maireles in the Bajo de Guia area of Sanlucar de Barrameda. It offers delicious and affordable seafood dishes, including rich fried fish, lagartitos, and flavorful stews with cuttlefish and tuna. The restaurant provides magnificent views and a genuine local dining experience without breaking the bank.
(Translated by Google) We went to eat without having a predetermined idea, we knew that we wanted to do it at Bajo de Guía, but without caring about the packaging. Seaside tavern with a dining room for this purpose, with a multitude of images of the Virgin of Carmen. There at least the food is sanctified. We ate some spectacular prawns, a delicious flavor. They cook them for you there. Before, some off-menu hake pavías, homemade food. Differently, some grilled anchovies were large and allowed to be savored in a different way. To top it all off, a stripe of bitter orange, also a new flavor for us, to dip all the sauce. The attention was exquisite, and a detail that I want to highlight is that they changed the cutlery for each dish. I don't know if they always do it, but with us that detail was one that other places with more facades may not have. Just one detail, the only cards used there are business cards, so you don't forget to come back in case you want to reserve a table. Of art. The very correct account. The prawns that we ate for 22.50 anywhere without more prices and they don't taste the same...

The burger only had mayonnaise (not BBQ) and was wrapped in paper (not in its box). The fries were plain, without the sauce, and the ice cream had a bit of the promotion sauce mixed with plain chocolate. The staff is super attentive, always friendly and eager to help, which makes the experience much more enjoyable. The food came out quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. The burgers were delicious, the fries crispy, and the drinks ice-cold. Plus, the atmosphere is calm and comfortable, perfect for coming with friends or family. You can tell they care about the details and the customers here, so it's definitely a place worth returning to. (Original) La verdad es que me ha sorprendido lo bien que está este Burger King. We had to ask everytime we wanted something and because we lack in the Spanish speaking the waiter really got mad at the end when I asked for the check. He kept yelling what do you want!!!! I was very intrigued in this place as I walk by it very often. It has mixed reviews and I am not so sure why. I was honestly left surprised. The prices are great. The portions were even better. I ordered the Revuelto Campero as the first dish and the brocheta de pollo con jamón as my second dish. I think it is important to know that they brought out the vegetables on the brocheta in the most perfect state. It wasn’t burnt, it wasn’t undercooked it had that little bit of char and that little bit of crunch it was just wonderful. Both plates come with bread, drink, and dessert all for €12.50!! TripAdvisor rates this the best restaurant in Sanlucar, so our expectations were sky high! This was a good meal but not as fantastic as we expected. We shared the salmon and goats cheese salad, which was fine but too dry. It needed some balsamic vinegar or other vinaigrette dressing. Our bread rolls were untouched because it was dry. We had chicken and iberico secreto for the mains and both were tasty but oversalted in our opinion, and a couple of grilled vegetables would have been a great add! I hope that helps!

The waitstaff stands out for their friendliness and efficiency, even when unexpectedly accommodating a large group that took over the outdoor seating area. Overall, Gozo Slow Food comes highly recommended for its scrumptious food and exceptional service.
Best pizza in all of Sanlúcar by far. The crust is just phenomenal. I recommend the Amatriciana Gozo or the Diavola. The cuatro quesos is also really good because it has a sweet kick to it. Truffle is another good option. The service is great super quick and the waiters/cashiers are very friendly.

We did go there 2 times while we were visiting Sanlúcar. The first time it was fantastic pizza well baked, the pizza bread was good and crunchy, topping just right and the cheese perfectly melted. That time it was not to bizzy but the second time it was full and lot of people asking for tables, that time the pizza was under backed, cold and chess not melted right. Flavors good 👍 but we just eat a few slides because of the flavors. Good place but so bizzy and the pizza just needed a 1 or 2 more minutes in the oven. I do recommend this place for the food is good and the staff really nice and friendly..Thanks from us.

Got an ortolana. Quite disappointing. Canned olives, low quality cheese. A few cubes of aubergine with not much taste. The dough wasn't bad but I've had lots of better tasting frozen pizzas.

This post was 2018, for some reason was removed! We got 3 pies, drink and milk for baby! this pizza is the best ive had n ive had nyc thin-crust, chciago deepdish (which i love) but this well its n class of its own! I wish i coulda eat’en hear each night of the trip, so by time i leave ill not want pizza for a long time, thats how good it is. Frankly, ima b disappointed eating back homes “pizza”. They are attentive but not bother you, they will customize pizza for u, add a topping without up-charge. When i go back to the US, i will miss this place! We Got to the restaurant early & saw deliver wood for the brick-oven. Must try wont b disappointed. When you go ask for the sausage, pepperoni and negro olives! Was sooo good!

Best Food and Service Quality we experienced the last 10 days in different Places in Andalucia.

A lovely little pizzeria in a quiet street near the main plaza. The pizzas were delicious and a great variety. Loved the Italian wine and how friendly and efficient the waitress was even when 10 of us showed up on spec mucand prettyh took over the outside area of the restaurant. We would definitely recommend it.
Wendy S — Google review
Food and service were very good. They only make the pizza as listed in the menu. They do have a specialty pizza that changes, not sure if daily, weekly or what. The special was out of this world.

Mesón El Rancho is an expansive eatery with ample parking and a noteworthy selection of dishes. Their Iberico parillada is exceptionally tender, and the portions are notably generous, all at reasonable prices. The restaurant operates smoothly, with efficient and knowledgeable staff who impressively attend to all tables. This well-managed establishment has garnered repeat business from satisfied customers who appreciate the unforgettable gastronomic adventure it offers.
Very good food, sometimes waiting times are a bit long, but overall a very good experience and very good prices!

Reasonable price, excellent quality of food, freshly grilled, freshly fried, freshly prepared food items are aka us served at this dining facility! My favorite place to take my family. Workers are attentive and very helpful. It gets real busy but overall, a family oriented, customer friendly atmosphere. One of the best!

Mmmm, everything here is so yummy! I have come here in large groups, medium-sized groups and groups of 2 and this place has always offered us the best service. The food is always delicious, and the restaurant is always comfortable. On busy holidays, try to call and make a reservation in case the area is full on the inside. The kitchen staff here works really fast-paced, and the wood fire grill is very cool to check out. They have meats available for your selection, and they also have a number of wine/ desserts. We usually get like a mixed grill plate (steak, secreto, chicken) to share, fried squid, shrimp/ clams in a garlic sauce, and the dogfish in adobo. One time, I left my purse on my chair. They kept it safe until the next day... very honest business. Just recently, we went for Valentine's Day, and they gifted us with a free dessert and wine. Yum!

They serve good food and drinks. Olives (Aceituna) is very nice, just expect a bit slow service when the restaurant is a bit busy. But overall it’s a nice place to dine in to Sanlucar.

Massive restaurant with lots of parking.. We had melt in the mouth iberico parillada, never have I seen such big portions of meat, heading to all the other tables at such reasonable prices .. A truly well run place ,thought we would have to wait ages but no, all the staff were amazing and know exactly what they are doing . So good we are going back in a few days

Great place for meat lovers, portions are very big and the food quality is good, prices are affordable as well. The actual place is huge, there is a big parking as well. Service was pretty quick and the staff were friendly.

We have been dining at Restaurante Patio la Parra for several years now, every time we visit Sanlucar. The cuisine is exquisite, with generous servings of tapas and exceptional service from the staff. The restaurant itself is charming, spacious, and peaceful, boasting a large interior patio adorned with vines. Additionally, the prices are reasonable and overall it's a definite success.
The best food in Andalusia, I have eaten. It was really delicious even it is not the season and the restaurant was empty.

(Translated by Google) We have returned to La Parra and, as always, we have had a fantastic meal. With the air conditioning, they have prepared a table for us inside the living room. The portions came out quickly and are abundant and very tasty. Draft beer, manzanilla wine from the neighboring La Cigarrera winery. Exceptional treatment by the waiter. A safe value next to the center of Sanlúcar. See the photos of the dishes. They have plenty of space between the patio and the interior living room. HIGHLY recommended. +++++

(Translated by Google) We went on a Saturday to eat, we arrived at 3 o'clock, there were 3 tables of 8/10 each and there were 6 of us, the other tables were almost completely served. They serve us well, very friendly…. We began to order several things from the menu, there is variety and the average price is rationable, there were not some dishes, the minutes pass and the first dish arrives at 4.30, that is, 1 hour and a half later, which were some fried cheese balls…. It wasn't a seafood platter either... And the next dishes from the other people arrive at 4:55, that is, almost 2 hours after ordering... then they tell us that some pieces of grilled squid are coming, which with two per pardon is perfect, they came the size of a finger each…. But now you are going to ask for more because of the little that came and you ask for more things and there were none, in the end they bring us a plate of well-fried anchovies... I thought from the comments that it was the best in San Luxar, but... Oh Of course, they are friendly and the place itself is cool, but it doesn't take away the delay of eating in 3 hours The food is good, the squid are exquisite and the sauce… great (Original) Fuimos un sábado a comer, llegamos a las 3 en punto, había 3 mesas de 8/10 cada una y nosotros que éramos 6, la otras mesas ya casi entera servidas.

El Italiano is a top-notch Italian eatery in town, renowned for its delicious cuisine and run by warm-hearted individuals. When it comes to appetizers, their provolone de horno served with the house bread is a definite winner. If you crave some heat in your dishes, don't miss out on their unique homemade spicy olive oil called aceite de picante. This family-run establishment boasts a cozy ambiance and specializes in crafting large, high-quality pizzas that are hard to resist.
Cosy, family-run Italian restaurant with large, excellent-quality pizzas. Also, Giuseppe's range of delicious pasta dishes are an absolute must. Enjoy!

Best Italian in town and owned by lovely folks. Get the provolone de horno with the house bread for an appetizer. Do you like a little spice in your life? Ask for the special spicy olive oil they make, aceite de picante.

Decent quality pizza (I prefer it over francescos). Family owned and operated, very Italian feel inside (lived in Napoli for two years).
David B — Google review
Despite advertising they speak 5 languages, menù are available only in Spanish. The food served doesn't match the ingredients listen in the menu. The lasagna is floating in tomato sauce and garlic. We asked tagliatelle but we got served spaghetti: when we pointed the mistake the reply was a rude "this is what there is today".
René C — Google review
Good food. We have eaten here several times food is consistent. On Wednesdays they have a 5 Euro menu, pizzas and pastas.
Amy C — Google review
Overall it's good, but like someone said: The food served doesn't always match 100% the ingredients listed in the menu. They tend to just skip ingredients when they don't have them.
