If you are staying in Cassino it's a must, if you're passing in the autostrada it's worth the 15 minute detour. I like to think I know my burgers having tried different restaurants globally, these were the best.

After spending a few weeks in Italy indulging in traditional Italian food (which I absolutely enjoy), we decided to venture into something different. Boy, it turned out to be an incredibly delicious and unique experience! The portions were surprisingly generous, even though we didn't opt for the larger sizes. Despite the abundance of food, every bite was bursting with flavor and delight. If you happen to be in the area and have a fondness for burgers, I highly recommend giving this place a try! It's an absolute must for burger lovers.

We have visited three times this week, in parties of 12 - 9 persons. I had a Pizza tonight, after a few mouthfuls I discovered something odd in my mouth. It was about 1 cm long and a round needle thick size, light coloured. I showed it to the waitress who was unsure as to what it might be. The chef indicated that it was a piece of wood! from the oven! Nothing more was said or offered to me. Rather disappointing in all honesty as they were keen for us to return tonight being a party of 9 this time.

I'll begin with a small disclaimer: this was an arranged meal for forty persons. We had a four-course dinner that started with a small bruschetta. Nothing special, it tasted fine. The table was also provided with a basket of bread. That bread wasn't fresh at all and very dry. The language difference seemed to be a barrier for the staff, as asking for some butter only got me extra bread. I tried asking in both English and Italian. The second dish was penne with tomato sauce. The sauce was pretty good and rich, but the pasta was very underdone. A friend of mine who's allergic to tomato got a plate with nothing but penne. Not even herbs or a single leaf of basil. Personally, I would have never allowed to let that plate leave the kitchen - it looked dull and tasted very monotonous. The main dish was the worst. The vegetarian variant consisted solely of potatoes and a fried egg, again looking very dull. The standard dish had chicken instead of a fried egg. Others told me that the chicken was too dry. The taste was okay, but being able to actually swallow your food is pretty essential. I first ate a bit of egg and as you can see in one of the pictures I added, it had way too much olive oil added to it. I'm pretty sure America would've started a war over it. After that, I tried a potato. Definitely not good. When you haven't even finished the first bite but already know you're not going to finish the plate, that's bad. Very undone on the inside and the outside was soaked in the olive oil - I made a quick run for the toilet because of the nasty taste the combination of oil and dryness left. I was done with the main course after that. The dessert left my table unfinished as well. The fourth course was a small piece of fruit jelly cake. I did not like it. The cake was dry, the jelly was nearly tasteless. I've looked at other reviews and pictures and it seems that dining with a small group or alone gets you a better treatment here. If you're a member of the staff of this osteria and you're reading this, my tip would be to not be too hasty when having a large group. People have asked for spoons and not gotten them. That's negligent and leaves a negative experience - you're literally forgetting your customer. The food tasted as if it was made a few hours before we arrived, yet somehow as if it was made without any patience. The interior of the restaurant was a bit boring. I wouldn't call it cozy or friendly at all. We also got cheap, disposable tablecloths. The entire room echoed and was very hot. In short, I would not recommend this osteria - definitely not if you're dining with a group. The staff is hasty and the food is of poor quality.

Stopped here after the tour of Monte Cassino. A really nice diner type restaurant, casual and not at all pretentious just good food. The tour had a fettuccine pomadoro and a meat ball special. It was really good and was the right size and hit the spot. They were a little overwhelmed with the size of our group but it was nothing that took away from the meal. Really a nice place!

One of our best meal in Italy. ( really surprise to find this restaurant in a really small town ) Ordered seafood pasta ( shared for two ), still water and a cup of coffee. Total price €10. The price is unbelieveable and the pasta is very tasty. Not to mention Chef Fabio is very kind.

The service is very bad. We arrived we asked if we can sit next to the windows but the waiter refused because we was 2 and only tables of 4 was near the window and she had not a good attitude. We then oreder our pizza but we waited up to 40 minutes before it arrives. The restaurant was not that busy at that time. That what dosent explain why we waited for that long. In other couple came in after us they where able to si in a table of 4 next the windows and they where served before us. Personly indidnt like that much the served pizza maybe i didnt chose something that suite me better. At the end an other waiter asked us if it went good and we said that we was not satisfied with the service. He tried to offer us a coffe but we refused that was kind of him. No service at all. Been there with a bigger group. You pay above average coperto and you are forced to collect your order yourself and after they are nit able so split the bills. They messed up the order and the food did not taste good. The burger was dry, the frech fries where cold. The aperol spritz was 1 euro more expensive then in the card... at the end they said that we should never come back. Dont worry this thought never crossed our mind.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced & the cheek to still demand service charge. If you want a good dining experience, go elsewhere. First course was served to another table, 45 minute wait for a drink, nearly 2 hours for the wrong food. The most arrogant waiter I have ever met. Racist comments were made to customers who were trying to resolve an issue amicably.

The place has an amazing location. The garden is simply beautiful, peaceful and extremely relaxing. Surrounded by mountains and green country side and still very closed to center town. You need a car however to reach the place. There is a restaurant for dinner but you need to check the opening time as my understanding is that it operates on certain days. Food is lovely and service nice and friendly. The room was nice clean and cosy and the bed really comfortable.

We stopped here on our way from Naples to Rome, and had an amazing lunch. We loved the pasta, wine and Tiramisu made with all local product. Very fair prices and great hosts. Mostly inside seating.

What a fantastic, authentic Italian place. We came off the motorway looking for some lunch found this wonderful restaurant. That said, there isn't a menu to read because the fresh ingredients come from the garden so it's different each day. We let our waitress Luona know how many courses we'd have (3) and she did the rest. We had a great starter platter of antipasti vegetables, cheeses and meats. Then I had the best ravioli I've ever tasted, and then a mixed dessert platter so we could taste everything. We hadn't planned to spend €50+ on lunch but with such good quality we couldn't resist.

Excellent food! Lovely little restaurant. We had fried anchovies and squid to start, carbonara and a mushroom, sausage and cream pasta followed by panna cotta and cheesecake for desert. I could have eaten it all twice. Highly recommended!

We had a great lunch. Lots of choices of local dishes on the menu and everything that we had was delicious. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed the after meal drinks suggested by Radu, who also did a great job of taking care of us during our entire meal.

A careful eye was watching the table from the professional staff as to not bring all the dishes at the same time. All the dishes tasted fresh and delicious. The fried alici was crunchy, and the frying oil obviously fresh. The pasta tastes homemade, and the house wine is economic but good quality. After paying a very reasonable bill we were offered an amaro again with great recommendation. My dining experience was unique due to the care and passion of the proprietors. More than one friend suggested me this place which I visited expecting a decent meal. The staff is cordial, however be ready to long waiting time to get a table and being served ( I have to admit that I haven’t reserved in advance but well it’s a Wednesday). Both pasta we ordered were not cooked enough and one of the two (cacio e pepe) was extremely salty. I am from Cassino, I support local businesses but I must have come on the wrong day. I ll be happy to give one more chance to raise the score of this review!

More the less a discotheque offering pizza, trying to create something new by interior made of sheet metal, brrr… and new pizza creations, but pizza disappointing, therefor didn‘t have to pay for it, cheapest white wine 6,00€ but for a glas 0,1L, no way… so look out for a sushi shop instead.

Good pizza but poor service! Update December 2022: After two years I came back to this pizzeria. The restaurant is all renovated and the pizza still tastes good. But waiting almost TWO HOURS for a pizza seems unreasonable to me. When I asked them about the delay they told me that I have to wait without any apology. The best pizza in Cassino !! We are from Manchester and we visit famiky every year in August. This year we visited Gianpa for yhe third time. Still the best oizza around! Didn't even had the opportunity to taste the pizza. We were a group of 14 people looking to have a good pizza on a sunday night (7:00pm). They told us there was no way to have us there, we said we could wait, no problem, they said it could take up to 2 hours and we said there was no problem for us. then they came back to us saying they hadn't enough pizza for us (are 14 pizzas too much for a sunday night?), I dont know how many people they were expecting until the end of their shift, but anyway we had a bad experience with the staff.

It was set initially in another place, smaller, then they moved to this location, very cool. I took a margherita, as my usual, and I hardly finish a pizza but this was so light I ate all of it still feeling not bloated. Service is fast, I just put 3 stars because one of the waitress broke the cork of the bottle of wine and then didn't replaced it with another but asked for help to remove the broken part still in the neck.

Such a great place to taste a wonderful pizza. I really liked the taste, the dough and all the ingredients on the top. I was there with some friends who already tasted different pizzas and they said all pizzas are good to taste. I had the ravioli with truffles in a white cream sauce and my friend enjoyed the seafood pasta! A beautiful and serene setting with classic touches such as white linen tablecloths, napkins, and crystal stemware - all at reasonable prices! Mangiare and enjoy!

After 2 days in Umbria, where we had thankfully rented a house, so were able to cook ....2 restaurant meals out a disaster...We discovered this gem, and we are VERY fussy. Lovely antipasti of Vongole, very fresh, cooked to perfection, just some herbs to let the flavour of the clams shine through. A Spagettoni with big Prawn, small prawns, clams and mussels in a lovely tomato broth, finished in a foil bag in the oven, great odours of fish when we opened the parcel, just delicious. For a main course we had a perfect fritto misto, cooked in very clean oil. Pudding was a lovely homemade Lemon mousse topped with freshly grated Lemon rind. The restaurant is situated in the country, with great views, professional friendly service. All in all a great find in a country that produces fine food mostly at home. Just to add to a previous review today, the majority of serious restaurants do not serve pizza at lunchtime, and also when we arrived the restaurant was redolant with the perfume of porcini and Truffles.

Wow, what a great lunch. Driving from Rome to Positano, we exited at the Cassino and were treated to an authentic Italian lunch. As Soo. As we arrived, the friendly staff pulled Preseco for each of us and did their best to speak English. We each used our phones to translate and we're rewarded with an amazing authentic Italian meal. Seafood Salad was 5 starts as was the wild pig pasta. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

She ignored us, pretended like she didn't understand me half the time (i wish Italian), took our food too early and asked if we wanted to take it with us. This is an overpriced restaurant stop and I am pretty sure they are charging us a bomb so they can pay a commission to the tour agencies. The coffee in Mcdonalds taste better than this place, the sandwiches are over priced and they charged me €10 for a vegetarian pasta with kids size portion, utter rubbish.

This place is epitome of tourist scam . Cold tasteless overpriced coffee and sandwiches.The bus to amalfi all stop at this place for quick breakfast where sandwiches are sold for double the price . Payed 4.5 euro for small cup of coffee and the sandwiches are 10 euro. The croissants are 4.5 euros and I could spot dark chocolates that cost 2 euro selling for 8 and all the souvenirs are triple the price. Use this place for restroom and unless you are too hungry avoid this place.

We have been in Rome, Capri, Naples, and Cassino. The meal and service here was by far the best! The food was outstanding. From the carbonara area, to the vodka pasta, to the scappolini… to the good and affordable wine… everything was outstanding. We arrived to an empty restaurant and thought we'd maybe made the wrong choice however the welcome we received was so warm we couldn't back out. The restaurant has fantastic views of Cassino and we had the perfect choice of tables (any of them). The food, service and wine were perfect. Despite being quiet the wait between course was perfectly timed, not to quick as I have experienced before in some quite place. I guess given the size of the car park and location this will cater for large groups in the summer months and if it was ever of my itinerary again I'd be very happy.

I was part of a large group for lunch a few days ago. Our orders were taken carefully and arrived correctly. The food is fresh and prepared to order. The wait was Italian style. The antipasti were plated well and were delicious as were the primi & secondi piatti. The service was excellent. The location is high above the valley just beneath the Montecassino Abbey. Views are beautiful. From my experience, I would recommend reservations and outdoor seating in the warmer weather.

Excellent service, good simple lunches for only a few euro, including a drink. And the proprietor lost his lower arm during the infamous bombing of the Month Cassino in 1944 as a child. They have photo books displaying the destruction of the famous Abbey and the city. Visit is recommended prior to your visit to the abbey, which is about a 10 minute drive from here.

From walking through the door staff were attentive and helpful. Food was very good some of the best pizzas we have tried. Topped off with an excellent beer from the abbey on Monte Cassino

What a great hotel in a beautiful historic location. Great food, service and comfortable beds. Also the best shower in a hotel, good pressure, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. I recently went for a teachers x students dinner, and we were 20 people. The food took a while to arrive, around an hour. But it was very nice, and the pizza was well cooked. The atmosphere is very warming and there is an outdoor area which faces a public park, with a children’s play area and benches. Toilets were clean, tidy and equipped and the staff were friendly.

An inviting location, sadly let down by sub standard service and an average food menu, that was pushed too hard from the outset. When we walked in, initially thoughts were promising. However, when the wine list turned up, this showed an extensive menu, albeit missing some pretty heavy hitters in the wine game, and bottle prices one may attribute more to Rome than a quiet provincial time. When wine was selected, immediately the waiter started pushing the food, explaining how my choice of wine would only come to life if I succumbed and ordered his accompaniments of food. These transpired to be spring rolls with mayo on the top. Not sure the height of degustation was really happening here, and certainly didn't life my experience, wine taste or otherwise. Finally, although the outside seating area was virtually vacant of any customers, save 2 tables, after the initial pouring of wine; the table nearest us, occupied by 3 gents, was doted on constantly while we were largely ignored and left to our own devices. Perhaps they were people of influence, or one of them was as the owner, but it left a rather poor taste on our mouths as the service being offered was totally imbalanced. So summarise, it's a lovely little location and has a certain charm. Would I return again? The jury's out.

Nice place if you want a break from Italian food Good beer and wine. Family friendly.

food is good service is slow atmosphere is ok if you like western.

Great little fast food venue, when you fancy something other than the usual 🍕 and 🍝 dishes.

Food was good and beer was excellent but had to sit outside as didn't have covid card, but will return in the summer and hopefully get inside.
