Where to eat: the 39 best restaurants in Cobh

Atmosphere was nice but food and service not so much. We were a table for 4. We had no problem with getting a table right away for lunch about 2pm. Waitress came to the table, "ready to order"? No hello, no welcome.. throughout the entire experience, we had to flag her down for water, condiments etc. We ordered the chicken wrap, steak sandwich, seafood chowder and ham/brie sandwich. Only one worth eating was the chowder. All of the sandwiches were flavorless. Had to get more ketchup just to eat them. I would not return to this place. Plenty of other restaurants to try.

SUCH an incredible restaurant! The food was to die for, but the service was even better. We got sat on a lovely table within a cove overlooking the water. For mains we had the beef and it was GORGEOUS, incredibly presented and well cooked. It practically fell apart, and the vegetables were seasoned to perfection. We had two desserts, the apple pie bread n butter pudding, and white chocolate & pistachio creme brûlée. Once again the portions were huge, and were really unique dishes that were expertly made. They also had gorgeous cocktails, their strawberry daiquiri was delightful and a lovely thing to see on the menu. The part that really put this meal over the top was the service. We had two ladies serving us, one with brown short hair and one with blonde hair. They were both very friendly and accommodating, as they helped me find gluten free options and offered substitutions. They even dried off my mums mobility scooter after the meal, we had left it out the front and it rained during the visit, so they went out of their way to dry it off for us. We will definitely be back again when we’re next in Cobh, and I cannot recommend a place more. If managers or staff read this review, please thank these ladies (we went on 9/9/25) and show our gratitude. Absolutely adored every moment of it!

As a fan of the Titanic story, I came here expecting the restaurant to be filled with titanic memorabilia and mediocre food but it was in fact the opposite! The food was incredible and worth the price I paid. There was very limited titanic memorabilia present (a couple photos and things in the entrance way). The place felt a little “lost” in terms of theming and atmosphere (maybe it’s just not to my taste?) but the good food more than makes up for it all.

Kind, attentive staff. Unfortunately on Sundays they only offer lunch, even for dinner. So I just had a glass of Guinness and sat on the patio. Its a decent view out there of the dock passengers crossed to board the Titanic. The dock is very old but not torn down as it's historic. You can't and wouldn't want to access it personally. Loads of history here and it offers a good space to reflect. The downside was the outdoor patio environment was drowned out by very loud and annoying music. Additionally there was a tour occurring so the tour guide was having to talk over that music on a headphone. Needless to say, I didn't hang out or finish my beer. But it was a nice moment while I could tolerate the noise pollution.

It was our first stop. Views were perfect, food delightful, very large portions, and the pint was perfect. Service was attentive, kind and very efficient. We had fun exploring the small gift shop, and got some great photographs.

Jacobs Ladder offers a great dining experience with scenic views and delicious food. We enjoyed a flavorful beef burger and a well-prepared seafood linguini. The staff were friendly, adding to the pleasant atmosphere, but we weren't informed that we had to pay at the cashier ourselves. A small detail, but worth noting. Overall, a lovely spot for a meal!

My family booked a birthday dinner for me at Jacob’s Ladder, and it turned out to be a lovely evening. The view by the water is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. My daughter arranged a surprise dessert for me, and the restaurant served it with a candle to blow out ,a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! The food was delicious overall, though my husband found the chicken supreme a bit awkward to eat, as it was served in a deep bowl rather than a plate. A flatter dish would have made it easier to cut. Despite that, everything else was wonderful: great atmosphere, tasty food, and a lovely place to celebrate special moments.

Excellent food on the sea with a beautiful sunset. The hake with mashed potatoes and tartar sauce was delightful. The roasted beetroot and walnut salad with raspberry sauce was also anazing

Excellent menu also gluten free available. The waiting staff were very clued up on gluten free. Very important for me as I am celiac. Food to die for.

Nice location with a view of the ship dock. Rates 2 stars for service as stuff was absolutely not taking care of their clients. Waiting too long to order ,waiting too long for the bill as four of us were watching like three waitresses had a nice chat between themselves in the bar. Nevertheless, chowder was very tasty- well done to chef! As well as burger.

We have been to this restaurant twice in the last 2 days. I will go again every time that I be in Cobh. I love the food, professional service & staff & beautiful scenery. 1 of the biggest advantages to this restaurant is their operation hours in holidays where many other available eateries around are closed.

Great views out over the bay from the outside tables, however these aren't bookable... If you book you get a table inside just in case it rains. Walk-ins can get a table outside. Food was good, but nothing special.

Service great! Atmosphere great! Food not that much! Ordered a steak, requested it rare, came to the table well done. The steak looked like it was cooked on a George Foreman electric grill or some Lidl grill. For 34.50€ was expecting much more.Chips were very dry on the inside and had a weird taste. Mush peas looked like they were done 2 weeks ago. Asparagus were raw, felt like i was eating a stick from the tree. Will not be coming back.

The Quays Restaurant – Quick bite, decent view, no drama A solid spot to pause for lunch, a drink, or even a cheeky snack. Good location with nice views if you nab the right seat, always a bonus when your meal comes with a bit of scenery (or people) watching. The food? Fine. The service? Also fine. Sometimes that's exactly what you want. Conclusion: No Wow, but it’ll feed you, water you, and give you something to look at. I’d happily stop by again.

Horrible experience. The service is good. Food is extremely bad, it just looks good. No flavour. We ordered their special of the day - yakisoba noodles. It was plain noodle. The beef burger is good, but not filling. The fish and chips, there was no flavour for the fish. The quantity was also less for all the food we ordered. Paying a lot for this food, not worth it at all. Plus, right after having this food, my friend and I ended up having an upset stomach!! Definitely not great rushing to the restroom every now and then. Horrible experience overall. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Stopped off for a quick drink while waiting for our train in Cobh (its a one minute walk from the station). The staff were friendly and atmosphere nice. We sat outside and had a lovely view of the bay and the huge cruise ship that had anchored there. Definitely recommended.

Very underwhelming meal. The chips were dry, pale, and oddly chunky — more like half-boiled potatoes than proper chips. No crisp, no flavor, just disappointing. The pizza didn’t redeem things either: bland, and lacking any real taste or texture. For the price, I expected something much better.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and refreshing welcome drinks. Noel and his staff went above and beyond to make sure the afternoon ran smoothly, with impeccable service and attention to detail throughout. The food was absolutely delicious—piping hot, flavorful, and served flawlessly, even for such a large group. Every course was a hit with our guests, and it's clear that the kitchen takes pride in the quality and presentation of each dish. Noel was incredibly accommodating, communicating with us well in advance of our arrival to ensure everything was perfect. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made planning a breeze, and it truly showed in the seamless execution of the event. The restaurant itself is in a fantastic location right on the seafront in Cobh, making it an ideal spot whether you're stopping by with family or hosting a business event. Fantastic food. Rating goes to the kitchen for sure. Sadly the rest was less than 5 star. Server was friendly, but wasn't allowed to seat us at certain tables in an empty restaurant (they were "reserved", but no one ever came). The beer was skunky compared to neighbouring restaurants pouring the same beers. Meal itself was great. Lamb was well cooked. Steak was well cooked. Chowder was divine. A solid effort.

Really good food and great service. Half our group got seriously delayed on the way but the guys in the restaurant were cool about it and didn't rush us at all despite the delay. The portions are huge so make sure you arrive hungry. The homemade chips were incredible. The kids are still talking about them.

Looked to be a nice place. Ordered food and all came and unfortunately during dinner the glass my 5 year old was drinking from broke in her mouth. Luckily from our quick thinking no damage. But when we told waitress she promptly said it wasn't her fault she had hand dried all glasses. No money off because of incident and we were never checked by waitress again after that to see if all was ok with us and our food. Check glasses every1

The quality of the food here is consistently excellent and the staff are so friendly. Walk a little further than the squares in Cobh to discover this fantastic gem of a restaurant. Enjoy the complimentary warm potato crisps while you await your order. The portions are very generous, always a fantastic potatoe special of the day on offer. You won't be disappointed!!

Fair portions, staff were nice and food was up to standar, only problem is there was no black pudding nor hasbrowns on the full irish, (idk if its supposed to be like that for I am not Irish) but nevertheless bathroom and atmosphere were amazing. Small place but very cozy :)

Such a gorgeous first meal in Cobh! The staff were so lovely and helpful with finding a table, the food was delicious (would recommend the halloumi and eggs on toast), and it’s such a comfortable and interesting atmosphere.

I ordered the bacon molette, and it was such a pleasant surprise. I am not really into pork, but this bacon tasted incredibly fresh, just like every other organic ingredient on the plate. The portion looks small at first, but it is actually very filling, and everything is beautifully served on top of focaccia bread. The café itself is quite small and cozy. The girls working there are lovely and very welcoming, but there is an older man who completely ignores you, never smiles, and did not even say thank you when we paid. It makes the atmosphere inside feel a bit tense, which for someone like me, who is all about holistic energy and good vibes, is definitely not my cup of tea. However, the food is truly beautiful, and it is the only reason I will be going back. 📍Verdict: Amazing fresh food, a bit of an awkward vibe, but worth visiting for the flavors alone.

Stunning, artisan restaurant on the harbour with wonderful food presented like art. The staff is lovely and they adjusted my meal with gluten free and vegan options. I highly recommend eating here.

If I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would!. I highly recommend this pizzeria to everyone. We had our 4 year old with us, and he loves to asks lots of questions!. The waitress (I never got her name) and Stephen were absolutely fantastic with him and even let him help make his own pizza with Stephen. They really made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond. The pizza was absolute perfection, and the chips were lovely. We will most definitely be back when we come back to Cobh.

Pizza was great, but the service was even better. There were thirteen of us and they accommodated our party with music, conversation and culture. Stevie (Son) welcomed us, Stevie (grandson) served us, and Pina (grandma from Italy) made our pizzas. Such an amazing experience right before closing (we closed the place). Piazza, seafood pasta, spaghetti were all really good.

Ordered take away. Two pizzas terrible quality. Got the spice box which was lukewarm chips and a South friend Chicken fillet chopped into bits. Very disappointed. Order a garlic dip and wasnt in the bag when we opened it

Fantastic, cozy, and best of all, excellent pizza. Try the Grand Italia pizza. The Stonewall Cider is a local cider from Cobh and is great.

Stopped here for breakfast before catching my train out. Really nice cafe with fair prices and good food. Staff is super friendly and beared with me as I dumped a bunch of change on them that I had been lugging around.

We stopped here to have breakfast before heading over to the Titanic museum. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was so good that we went back for another cup later in the day. It's a small restaurant that fills up quickly, but they had outdoor seating as well. They had quick bites for anyone on the go. I will definitely be back for waffles and coffee.

An amazing cafe at the heart of Cove with a big menu of bagels, sandwiches, and wraps. It also has a vast menu for drinks with ample seating space. I’m vegetarian so I had Italian bagel without Ham. I asked the person to switch the meat with egg and they did it without any question or extra money. Frappes there are one of the best frappes I had in a long time. Do visit if you’re in Cove. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Thank you guys! 😊

Nice comfortable coffee shop with happy pleasant staff. Menu consists of wraps and panini and bagels etc. we had the bacon and Brie panini, it was very tasty. They have great coffee and a pretty good range of frappe’s. Also have a reasonable range of cakes and pastries. Good atmosphere and Oh and they have won some awards too.

Fantastic experience! Staff is incredibly friendly, and delightful! The scones are BEYOND incredible; be sure to get them with jam, butter and cream! We also had a Carmel latte which was delicious and a ham and cheese sandwich that really hit the spot. Don’t know if we’ll ever come back, but would definitely return if so! Highly recommend!!

Came here for a coffee and a pastry and was happy to find they serve full breakfast with table service. Appreciated the cafes atmosphere and vibes. Service is a LITTLE slow but I was there on a busy day so if can’t be helped. Had the full Irish breakfast with a scone and cappuccino for a very fair price.

Disclaimer - I have yet to meet a scone I didn't like. With that said, not all scones are created equal. Some drier, some denser, some lighter, etc... That all changed yesterday. I experienced the holy grail of scones. Truly! I don't know what kind of wizardry or sorcery is happening in the kitchen; all I can say is this is quite literally, the best scone experience I have ever had. So much so, I went again today. You know, just to make sure. I nearly wept with the last bite, knowing I would not experience this again until my next trip to Cobh. The coup de grâce was the expertly crafted flat white. I know, I know. It sounds too good to be true. Yet, it's not. A place like this really exists and it might just be heaven on earth.

Had a breakfast, 2 adults full Irish and 2 kiss one had porridge and one had pancakes. Lovely food, maybe a little cold on the breakfast but was OK. The kids porridge is massive maybe that could be made smaller and price reduced as my 12yr old couldn't eat such a big bowl. Coat for us all was just over €40 not overly expensive but definitely not a budget option. Service was brilliant and the ladies couldn't be more helpful. Also love the fact you can donate your re-turn bottles to help the local hospital 🏥❤️❤️

Absolutely fabulous place, cosy, friendly, in a wonderful location. I loved the service, the food and the atmosphere of this place. Coffee could be a little bit more tasty (it's not about the brewing, I believe that's grains fault) but still I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend!

We had an awesome family breakfast. The waitress was hilarious and quick. We all loved our meals.

We were recommended this place as a must visit when in cork. When we came in and sat down the places didn’t disappoint us. The menu is very crisp and clear. We ordered variety of food like Risotto, spaghetti Bolognaise, Leonardos Burger etc. Must say the food tasted good but the burger was a let down. The beef pasty was burnt and was super dry. When the waitress came to ask if all was good. I told her everything was fantastic but for the burger. All she had to say was our burgers are well done and that’s the way it comes. For 17 euros I accept my burgers to be tasting good and I have had a fair share of burgers in my life. All the way from 10 euros to 25 euros so I know what to expect at what price point.

A busy little greasy spoon cafe with some extra dishes! Very friendly service, good sized portions and reasonable prices. We tried the full Irish and it's vegetarian counter part. A little salty for my taste but overall no real complaints! 👍

Best food in Cobh in my opinion. Beautiful menu with loads of Italian specialties cooked to order Family affair behind the counter. Father and sons. Very reasonably prices given the quality on offer. Full Irish freshly cooked includes Tea & coffee for €11.50 (May 2024) I'd highly recommend Seafood Tagliatelle or the Italian Burger.

Wonderful cafe, felt like home I had the smoked salmon on toast 2x and a side salad, my love ordered a simple breakfast without meat. The place was a hopping.

This restaurant gives me a homey vibes. Nothing fancy, a good place to eat with nice staff and clean place. Location is excellent as it is bay facing and jz a minite walk from the cathedral. We went there during lunch time and despite the busy times, we got our food without waiting too long. The food are as good as we expected, and reasonably priced. Will be back when I get to visit Cobh again.

Good quality simple fare that hits the spot. We arrived at a busy time and they found room for us for lunch. Food was very nice - nothy fancy but everything done well. The Italian burger was great good quality beef and nice with dried tomatoe, lettuce and crispy pancetta. Club sandwich was great, as was pasta and soup of the day - no one complained. Friendly service with a smile!

Scoops Gelato is a good ice cream shop with an impressive variety of flavors. Each flavor I've tried has been delicious, but the pistachio flavor stands out as my absolute favorite. However, one aspect that could use improvement is the staff. While they are always polite, they often seem tired and not particularly cheerful. This might be due to the high volume of customers they handle daily. A bit more enthusiasm could enhance the overall experience.

Home of the ice cream donut. It's a hot donut stuffed with your choice of ice cream (gelato) and smothered in Nutella. It's something you have to experience at least once! If that doesn't interest you, choose between a few dozen Gelato flavors, or go for the classic vanilla soft serve.

The ice cream itself was quite good, but the overall experience was disappointing. The staff were somewhat rude and didn’t make much effort to explain or offer the various options available. I had to ask for the sauce myself, which felt like an oversight. For €8, I got a large tub and a large 99, which seemed quite expensive for what it was. Honestly, I’d rather grab an ice cream from the local shop than come back here.

Best ice cream I have ever had in Ireland. Pistachio is out of this planet. The texture is like an Italian dream, creamy softness with deep taste will make you want more and more. A true gelato experience in such a beautiful spot. Will definitely come back.

Scoops Gelato is an incredible spot! The ice cream is hands down the best I've ever tasted. I think the prices are a steal considering the exceptional quality. The staff are super friendly and remarkably patient. My only regret is not indulging in more scoops! I'll be back for sure, and Scoops Gelato is now a must-visit destination for us in Ireland!!!

Best Iced latte around.They have so many varieties of gelato it's so hard to choose. Love the lemon meringue and the strawberry. Really fresh tasting. The owners are always coming up with new flavours . Keep it up lads. No-one to touch you for taste and freshness

One of the best meals we had all week. However a bit snooty to get in, felt like they were doing us a favour giving us a table when we didn't have a booking, even though only half full??? Haven't they heard that a good customers is not beneath them

Easily the worst dinning experience during our week in Ireland. Most dinners were overcooked (shrimp, chicken, and the burger). The sauce in the lasagna tasted like American ketchup and whatever cheese they used it wasn’t moz. Then they charged for the wrong entree and tried to argue about it. Avoid this place if you can.

Food was good. Didn't feel super welcoming and I find that odd as that's the only place in all of Ireland that I felt that way. I don't know if it was timing or the staff were having a bad day but we felt like simply being there was an inconvenience to them. All in all though, we made the best of our time there and enjoyed the food and entertained ourselves with quiet conversation. We didn't stick around much longer though to have drinks and rest up for the next part of our adventure. We felt more like we needed to move on. Would I come back? Maybe. But it would be much lower on my list in the future.

Nice spot inside the Commodore Hotel. Had the Fish and Chips along with the Hot Garlic Tiger Prawns and a couple pints of Guinness. Both were very nice. This was my first Guinness in Ireland. After years of drinking Guinness in NY, I can say that the head is more creamy in the motherland but the pints in NY are not that far off. 🫣 The staff was very friendly and accommodating. No cash needed as they take credit cards. There was a bit of a wait for a table after 1:00pm.

The food was good however the service was lacking. They were not terribly busy and we waited 5-10 minutes to be greeted by what I believe was the manager. She then went and got a server who seemed like she had much better things to be doing.

Finished our Titanic tour and headed here for dinner - my vegetarian food was awful and I sent it back. It had no flavor and my partner’s food was dripping in oil. Staff was great and understanding but I’d recommend skipping this spot

We visited O’Shea’s Bistro on August 15th at 8:00 pm. We were told there was no table available at that moment, but that if we returned at 8:30 pm, they would be able to seat us. Trusting this, we came back promptly, only to be told that we had no table and that the kitchen was already closed. I understand that unexpected situations can happen in hospitality, but I find the lack of organisation and communication in this case unacceptable. We made the effort to return at the time we were told, yet ended up without dinner. It was a disappointing experience that left us feeling that customers were not treated with proper consideration.

A small and cozy place, and the food is just amazing, best soda bread I had in southern Ireland, an amazing potato and leek soup, with many more choices, wish I had been here earlier

One of the most disappointing pubs I've ever been in... because it looks like a works canteen where all tables have condiments on show, lights are too bright, no pub atmosphere whatsoever. They even have a display unit of bottles that are empty and some are missing the caps as well. Not a pub worthy of being associated with the legendary Jack Doyle.

8 of us visited today from Dublin, an absolute pleasure from start to finish, varied menu, brilliant choices., probably nicest food I’ve had in a long time ( I had curried prawn on Naan bread) . Luke and the girls 10/10 for service, highly recommend.. will definitely be back

If you are in Cobh (pronounced COVE) and you do not stop in for a pint, you have missed a genuine opportunity. Think of the American TV show Cheers and multiply that by 100 and add the Irish good nature and you are getting close to the feeling you get when you sit at the bar. Start a conversation and soon you will thinking (or wishing) you’re a local. You will learn the pub dates back 200+ years, its connection to the titanic and Cobh’s connection to WW I

All 6 of us Americans have this as one of the three best pubs in Ireland we visited. Extremely welcoming locals. Live music. Very welcoming and cheap pints. Must stop in

Fantastic, proper original Irish bar (some may say even from the 1940s 😁). Really friendly crowd, great choice of drinks. Don't be put off by the outside, you'll be welcomed in here with proper traditional Irish hospitality. Only a small place but great atmosphere.

Local pub. Authentic. Nice place, small not overrun and good beer! We drank Guinness and Beamish. Wonderful to spend some time here 👍 we come here again!

We said we'd try Connie Doolans to hear Buster the singer. The owner was most welcoming and chatty, so that made a difference from the pub the day before. We found a nook where 9 of us could be together and had a great night. All punters were friendly.

Old world bar with a turf fire helpful friendly staff. On a recent visit to cobh tryed all the bars and found this one my favourite clean well run would highly recommend a visit here.

I'm not sure this place is/has a restaurant as the name/sign implies, but by all means stop in for a pint and a great time with whatever locals are packed around the bar. Our only regret was the limited time we could spend, as we had to grab dinner and catch a train.

The Gunness here is superb. Just a 500 meter walk along the harbour from the Cruise ship dock. We called in here for a few pints of Guinness and was not disappointed. Highly recommend a visit to this authentic Irish pub. Live music at selected times. Loads of interesting pictures and photographs to view. Prince William also visited and Sat with the locals enjoying a drink and craic.

Stopped into Kelly's Bar while visiting the small port town of Cobh, Ireland. Near the harbor, this Irish Pub was one of several highlights of our time there. We had the best Guinness we've ever had, and an Irish Whiskey we found difficult to duplicate during the rest of our visit to Ireland. If you have a chance, stop in. We found a warm welcome, good service, and great drinks!

Nice old world bar with a great Titanic themed vibe. There is very good variety of beers ciders.etc.. Friendly bar staff and a very competitive price, €8.50 for a pint of Guinness and a half pint of cider, I was charged €10.70 in a Cork city bar last night for the same round ! Guinness was very good 7 outta 10.

Picture perfect local Irish bar. On the recommendation of the barman, we ordered sandwiches (toasties) from the restaurant next door, and they delivered them to our table at the bar. Excellent service, colorful and friendly locals, and perfect location.

Popular, convenient local, and fun atmosphere. Belly up and get your pints at the bar, and if you're lucky, you find a seat or a place to stand. It's a gathering place, we did find a table in the back room, tvs with football, and music playing. Worth a stop. During day hours, there is outside seating too, with fabulous views.

If you are looking for an authentic Irish Pub, then look no further! Ben (aka Princess) is an expert at pouring black and tan pints. Buster the musician interacted with the visitors, and entertained them with his music and the odd joke. This pub is a must see experience in Cobh.

Had a great evening here , met locals Jim, Jimmy and 007, haha had a great time chatting with them! All in all, place is nice drinks are good and locals are fantastic

The Cobh Heritage Centre was an incredibly moving experience. The exhibits beautifully tell Ireland’s emigration story with heart and authenticity. Learning about those who once departed from this port knowing some were my own ancestors made it deeply personal. A must-visit for anyone with Irish roots or an appreciation for history.

Just on the quayside if you are on a cruise ship here. As you enter a very nice cafe to take in the yesteryears theme. Tea’s coffee and cake. From here you can buy entry to the Heritage museum.

My husband and I went for a genealogy consult, but then enjoyed the museum afterward. What a gem! This centre encapsulated so much of Irish history with a variety of media that would keep any visitor engaged. This should be a “must” when you travel to Cobh.

Christy and team were friendly, helpful, and provided insightful advice about ways to track down my Irish ancestors. A worthwhile hour to spend on genealogy! Thank you Christy and team!

We made an appointment with a geneologist weeks before our visit for a 60 minute consultation. I learned a few new things about my family's location prior to 1847. After thst, records were lost for a period of time because of the famine. The Heritage Center offers a well organized historical display. Thectown of Cobh is charming, clean, and picturesque.

My sister and I did the 1 hour session with a genealogist. His name is Christy Keating and he was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Ireland and of the migration of our ancestors. He was able to find out were my great grandmother came from. As well as her mother and father which was a big mystery. Christy was very compassionate and he will always be in a special place in my heart. Thank you Christy! Going through the rest of the tour was amazing afterwards. It put in perspective what our ancestors had to go through to get to America. I can't believe so many people survived those conditions. All of it is worth doing, but if your not into genealogy at least do the tour.

A local initiative, a good collection of heritage artifacts and photos. Very welcoming staff. Worth a visit 😃

Our family of four had a wonderful breakfast at Ellen’s. We tried pancakes, French toast and the Eggs Benedict… all were wonderful. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the other patrons were all locals. Highly recommend!

We read a review that Ellen's Kitchen was pretty good and was that review ever spot on! One of the BEST breakfasts we enjoyed in Ireland during our vacation. Very friendly staff (including the owner/chef who personally came out to check on us). The Full Whack will fuel you for an entire day!

We spotted this cafe on google and worked out it is quicker to get off the train station before Cobh to get there. The food was amazing and such a selection of cakes 🍰. The staff were so friendly I would highly recommend going here if visiting Cobh , it was a lovely 20 min walk along the waters edge to arrive in Cobh.

Fab spot - a must visit! My breakfast was a nice clean (not greasy) mini Irish. High quality produce. His was granola which looked like a work of art, and tasted delicious by all accounts. Highly recommend.

Late posting our heartfelt thanks to Ellen and her wonderful team who looked after 9 of us for lunch a few weekends ago. As usual the service was 100% with a big fuss being made over the kiddies which is always a nice touch. We ordered from the main menu as well as the specials board. The spice bag was sensational as was the O’Flynn’s special. We all enjoyed our meals and were really looked after. Ellen and her team go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience and you can see the effort that is put into the dishes. We enjoyed it so much we went back for French Toast a few days later!

Totally recommend Ellen's Kitchen, she has a lovely team working there and the food is always stunning from sandwiches to scones ,dinners to soup we have never been disappointed 👏👏

Not the b st experience the duck was only ok none of it was crispy. Chicken wings were good. Prawn toast only ok. We had 4 pints of Tiger lager which was crisp & cold. Mains were average at best crispy honey chicken was chewy my S&P chicken was bland. I may sound picky In this review but I have tasted a lot better & TBF the place was popular with locals

We ordered chicken spice box and we really liked it. The ambience is beautiful and the restaurant is reasonably priced.

I received an email from wan fu offering a 15% discount for the whole bank holiday weekend. Honestly, I wasn’t even planning to order, but the email convinced me to place an order for three people. To my surprise, when I tried to apply the discount at checkout, it said the offer was no longer available. I called the restaurant to discuss the issue, hoping they would honor the promised discount. But to my second surprise, the person on the phone said there was nothing they could do! I’m really disappointed by this experience, not just because of the discount issue, but also the lack of effort to resolve it. I won’t be ordering dinner from them again unless they apologise and apply the 15% discount as promised.

Chicken tasted like it was the remnants of a bag of old frozen chicken. We had one bite and threw the rest away. Cute place, but stay away.

Very friendly staff. Fast service and very accommodating for vegan/vegetarians. The menu has clear allergen labeling and they were happy to make alterations to dishes on the menu. The vegan tofu spice bag should be on the menu permanently it was delicious!

Too expensive for what you get. Lovely ambience, nice friendly staff, I have to say it is a good menu, lots of vegan options. Veggie spring rolls with white cabbage in them, bland. Veg kung po with noodles nice, tofu was relly nice.

Our 1st time to Cobh, our 1st time to The Arch. Our local friends recommended we visit for a good coffee and they love going for wine nights as a couple. We’ve been on vacation for a few weeks and since leaving Italy have had a hard time finding a coffee that would compare - The Arch delivered. Great coffee, super friendly staff, loved the comfy vibe and super comfortable furniture. The cappuccino and latte were fantastic, the kids hot cocoa was above and beyond. Serena was so pleasant! We’ll definitely be back and recommend this place!

Amazing spot! Not only do they serve the best coffee in town, but their sandwiches and sharing plates are perfect when I'm looking for lunch or a snack to share. I love their wine list, and the staff always knows exactly what to recommend. (Pictures are from a few different visits!)

Really good coffee, I lovee the glasses makes the drinks taste 100% nicer, good selection of cakes very comfortable staff were so kind and attentive, wasn’t too loud considering the amount of people in the cafe :)

First cortado I've had, loved it - perfect balance between flat white and espresso. Sat in the back garden area, very peaceful. Staff were attentive without disturbing us. Building is a nice mix of old and new, with a gorgeous stone wall mixed with a modern feel.

Came here for a cappuccino and something to eat. The food is good but the prices are way too high for what you get. There are cafes of equal or better standing in Cobh for a much more fair price. I can’t comment on the wine portion.

Don't leave Cobh without eating here. It's a very different experience. The tasting platters really taste, the service is attentive but not intrusive. The value is amazing for Ireland. It's very small, so book if you are more than a couple.

I had an evening meal here once and takeout on a couple of occasions prior to that. I never had food from there after seeing the inside of the premises. You pass waste bins in a covered lobby area to enter the seating area. Food packing is sorted on shelving above these bins. The lobby itself is outdoors and the roof covering is an attempt to bring it indoors. Unfortunately this area is not entirely sealed off, allowing the possibility of rodents or other small animals to enter in search of food from the bins. Not a good first impression and I'm disappointed that others either haven't noticed this or chose not to mention it. The dining area itself smells of must. The furniture and woodwork, such as skirting boards are filthy and I can't imagine that a painter and decorator was ever employed to freshen the place up as there is evidence everywhere of cast off pain and spillage and paint drip on skirting boards etc. The floor is carpeted and your footwear can physically stick to it in places. You cannot smell food being cooked which is highly unusual. One of our party chose a chicken dish and just played around with it. When I asked if everything was ok they replied that there was something strange about the chicken. I, being a brave butcher, sampled it and I can say that the texture was like rubber, it was tasteless apart from the sauce, it lacked moisture but not from overcooking but as if it had been thawed out. I guess I can be thankful that we were lucky enough not to have become sick from it. Overall, possibly the worst dining experience I ever had. Thankfully our visit was simply for something to eat and not a special occasion. Mercifully none of our party needed to use the toilet facilities.

We ate here recently, as per other recent review the restaurant is dirty and tired and in need of serious renovation, the chicken and beef served was like rubber. The chicken had a strange taste and look and we ended up leaving it behind, most likely boiled and thawed. All dishes are plus rice and chips and are not included making it an expensive meal.. Kids meal €9,50 no drink and small portion for that price. We will not return.

If you're an asian food fanatic and want to satisfy your craving even in Cobh, you must visit this place. Firstly the place is very accessible and just next to the Deck of cards view point. Secondly the place has ample options to choose from and third the taste is exquisite. Loved their chilli garlic chicken. The chicken cheese rolls are a perfect starter. You get all the options from dry starters to curries and rice. Excellent place for travellers to grab lunch or dinner after sight seeing.

Really nice lady at reception but unfortunately the food wasn't good. I won't say it was terrible but pretty tasteless. Would have thought the main meals would have come with rice? Not so.

No, you can’t cook everything in same slime gravy. It’s corn starch I suppose. The food was not good, I ordered vegetable chow mein and vegetable soup, my friends ordered different meat dishes and everything was cooked in same gravy made out of corn starch I suppose. It was like everything was cooked in slime. Chicken with cashew was worst out of all, just boiled chicken in slime with cashew. Go get a good old chicken fillet roll if you want to eat something. This place is not good.

The food was okay, the chicken wasn't great it was like jello, awful texture, taste wasn't too bad I guess. The duck was nice, noodles bit dry and starters were lovely, the spring rolls and prawn toast I really enjoyed. Wouldn't come back again though.

Eaten here only once in passing. Food was amazing. Hot and well presented. Wonderful flavour. Giving only three stars as when we sat to the table we discovered the table cloths are not checked and cleaned between diners note the stains on the photos. Genuinely wonderful food however could not fault that in any way. One of the best Chinese meals I've had in a long time.

We visited the Roaring Donkey twice on 2 consecutive days, despite it being a bit of a hike up the hill to get there. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with chatty staff and patrons alike. We came away having learned quite a bit about Hurling. A great selection of drinks and I only wish that my local back home had more than one stout on offer. And the bonus for us .. it was downhill on the way back.

I walked through the front door with my phone to my ear giving final directions to my group on how to get there. I stood right inside the front door (it was cold outside) with the door closed behind me and wasn’t in the pub for 5 seconds (literally) before being shouted down by the clown behind the bar yelling for me to get out. Cobh is a beautiful town with great and welcoming pubs, this isn’t one of them. I come to Ireland annually, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world. I’ve been to literally thousands of pubs throughout that time but there’s something very special about The Roaring Donkey. I’m from Cobh – but have lived in the UK for more than 27 years and it’s one of the few pubs I go to when back in Ireland. People are what makes a pub. Any pub. Without them, it’s just another room. Everything about this place screams authenticity. It’s somewhere you can relax, have a chat, or simply have a quite drink by yourself. In an age where there are so many daft “themed” pubs, “The Donk” stands out as a place where in the immortal words of the theme tune to Cheers: “Everybody knows your name”. Even if you’re a stranger – because someone will find out within 20 seconds of being there. One of the highlights is the live music nights, which bring the place to life with great energy. Whether it's acoustic sets, local bands, or themed evenings, traditional Irish bands, the entertainment adds a vibrant and memorable touch to the experience. But for me personally, what really stands out is the sense of community. It’s the kind of place where locals gather, conversations flow easily, and newcomers are greeted with a smile. Whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a mighty session, this place is the real deal. If I could give 6 stars – I would gladly do so. Long may the place continue – and long may it set an example to others on how a pub should be.

We didn’t eat here and not sure if they have food, but this was our favorite bar throughout all of Ireland. Always a ton of fun and the locals are friendly. Great patio and reasonable prices. If you are in the Cobh area, it is a can’t miss as a tourist.

The Rob Roy was the perfect place for our first pints in Ireland. It was recommended to me by a resident of Cobh, and he did not let me down. The "local" beers were fantastic (Beamish and Murphy's). Service was prompt and friendly even with a pretty full bar that day. I loved that well over half of the people there were clearly locals. The decor is just what I would have expected of an Irish pub. This place really knows how to pour a pint of stout!!!

We were just walking by, heard live music and popped in. The one man band in there was killing it, had an amazing voice was a ton of fun and played good music. Served us Murphys we ended up hanging out for a few hours, really fun experience!

Hands down best pub I’ve been to in Ireland so far. The bartender was hilarious, however for the good love of god, if you see this review, this place doesn’t have food. Save my friend the bartender from having to tell you there’s no food. If you walk in, and see the soup of the day is guiness, it’s more than likely a good clue that it’s only drinks. My only regret about this stop is that I heard an awful lot about a man named Wally and I didn’t get to meet him. Maybe one day I’ll come back to Ireland and get to ask him about the picture of the “boat” on the wall. 11/10 must stop in if you’re in the town. Again, don’t ask for food.

This is great for kids of all ages to join and the coaches are fantastic. The bar is also open during training hours on Sat for the parents to get coffees and teas and it's great if you want to have a party they will accommodate you.

Excellent place for Special Occasions and I just Celebrated my 70th Birthday up there last Friday. We had a great night, after which I drove most of my guests home as I don't drink Alcohol or smoke Cigarettes.

Small pub but good selection of beer and whiskey. Cozy atmosphere. Great for parties. We came here late one night during someone's 50th birthday party. I don't know whether we snuck in or not but great atmosphere throughout so good on you whoever's birthday it was. We had a great time. Don't know if we crashed the party by requesting the DJ play Prince, but sometimes you just have to do it.

My family and I had a great birthday party on Friday the 3rd August. Everything was fantastic the barman was very nice. I would definitely go back to have another celebration in the near future.

We stopped in on after Gilbert's was recommended to us by a tour guide. It was delicious! The chicken katsu curry was easily the best curry I had while in Ireland. The teriyaki chicken bowl was also full of flavor and healthy toppings. Loved it!

Wonderful Gluten Free selections which are hard to find, but not the fish and chips. They were very very accommodating to families with young children. Multiple servers were friendly with our family and so helpful. They had popcorn for the kids to snack on and they brought out their meals very quickly. Very good fish and chips!!! It was exceptional and would recommend going there if you are in Cobh.

The food was great. I was a party of 5 and everyone was impressed with their meal and dessert. I had the stew. I felt there was not enough stew in it. There was probably one third of a cup of stew and lots of veggies that I ended up eating dry or leaving. The tiny amount that was there was delicious and the meat was good quality.

I got the soup of the day, carrot and ginger, with Irish bread and a very generous pot of tea for one also. The other two in my group got the halloumi cheese panini. It was amazing! Very quick service, all food was piping hot and waitress was friendly and welcoming. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommend.

huge portions! we had the burger...which is a giant stack!...the fish and chips...a delicious fillet....and the steak sandwich with it's yummy onion mushroom gravy. Fantastic food and the most attentive and hospitable staff! made our Cobh experience awesome.

We came here for lunch after going to the Titanic Experience— and it was SUCH A GEM of a find for our family of 5! It was absolutely freezing outside, and they had a warm table and lots of warm welcome. We had hot tea and the BEST Fish and Chips lunch ($14 euro) we’ve had in Cork County. Legit. Tartar sauce was amazing. Kids meals were great also. ($9 euro, 3-course). Hostess was so friendly. Couldn’t have been happier with this find!

Lovely place to grab a bite in Cobh. Staff were v friendly and helpful. We got the toasted "Bay" paninis which had a nice ratio of vegan chz to roasted peppers and courgettes. Also shown are a side of wedges/chips😍 (Full vegan menu available)

Went for lunch with my wife and 1 year old daughter. 50 minutes later still no sign of our food (toasted sandwich, wrap and 3 sausages). Two tables came in 20 minutes after us and still had their food before us! We eventually got up and left. Definitely will not be returning

Visted here yesterday with family just before we headed of on spike Island tour, I ordered breakfasts for us all. Waiting 40 mins still no sign of food brought to table, So asked the waiter how much longer ? I was met with "we are very busy" hold in mind that there was about 9 customers inside most were already eating food. So we waited food came 10mins later and it was like a plate of grease tasteless and bland will never return again.

Absolutely delicious. We got the special of the day (homemade gnocchi) and it was some of the finest Italian food I’ve ever had. Super nice folks, highly recommend.

The stack of pancakes are huge! American style and amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service was a bit slow the day that we were there but we were in no rush anyway ☺️

Centrally located on the seafront opposite the Titanic experience this small restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. The only problem I have seen with the restaurant is that it is upstairs which makes it hard to access for parents with young kids or people with special needs. I had and would recommend the chowder. Steak was delicious and really tender. Would return and recommend highly.

Seafood pasta is divine. Lovely ,traditional restaurant. Great view of harbour. Friendly local staff. Good menu, sadly no vegan, but they could russle up something.

I recently had a meal here in a group of seven, my daughter was leaving that night for her third year college in Grenoble, France. The meal was the nicest meal out that I'd had in a long time, even I had dessert which was a gluten free orange cheesecake, and being coeliac its rare to get a gluten free dessert that isn't either pavlova or fruit salad...I would highly recommend this restaurant with its very helpful and caring staff..that goes for all seven at the table.

The Lamb Shanks are out of this world. Food is consistently excellent. Staff lovely and location has the best view of the harbour!. Thank you Sandra and Jackie.

Owner is very Friendly. Her scone is amazing. She gave 2 jams. I cut open the warm scone spread jam and spread ice cream. Wow tastes outstanding. It cost me $3.00. Scone just melts in your mouth like butter. Nice outdoor location.

2 Euro for a "small ice cream".. that is more like a normal size ice cream. Cheapest soft serve ice cream I have had in Ireland. I also had chai latte to keep warm, does not taste like chai latte and I should have just ordered coffee. Great outdoor seating.

Lovely outdoor spot to get a coffee and a crepe/waffle. It haves covered outdoor seating overlooking the harbour. I have been here rain and shine.

Addicted is a new and excellent business stall that sells a variety of delicacies such as ice cream, iced coffee, coffee, crepes, pancakes, waffles and milkshakes. The food of this place is delicious. The location of this place is ideal as it's located at the heart of Cobh.

Wow. What a hidden gem. The food was excellent. I eat in a lot of Indian restaurants and they are usually ok, but the food here knocks them out of the water. The way it tasted was exquisite , leaving a nice aftertaste. The family who run the restaurant are very proud of what they provide and it shows. A superb place to eat. Highly recommend.

I visited recently on my own, as it was mid week the restaurant was quite. The food was excellent! Service was quick, helpful and friendly. Recommended!

Nan is thick and stodgy! (Nothing like the photos) Condiments are all full of sugar! Chips undercooked! Rice was good! The chicken itself was good, the sauce bland - similar to a kebab shop! Indian food isn’t complicated to make at all, just requires a lot of spices… so to pay so much and to get a basic, below par quality and taste indicates to me the restaurant doesn’t care and is more concerned with quick margins than repeat business!

Please, you can visit the Palace, everything is really amazing. Congratulations, and there are no photos of the dishes. You need to go and discover the mystery.

I read many mixed review so I decided to check on my own. Food was not only tasty but portion was big enough to made me stuffed. Service was also good- from the young waiter to the female-owner. I ordered off menu and they prepared for me special meal. Definitely will visit again.

Whenever we visit Cork we make sure that we have dinner at the Bombay Palace. The staff have always been very friendly and attentive and the food is truly delicious. We are both vegetarian and there is a really good selection for us to choose from.

We had a delightful experience at the local cafe, Vega. The food was truly enjoyable, offering a comforting taste of home. The potatoes, in particular, were outstanding! The owner's warm and welcoming demeanor left a lasting impression on us. She went out of her way to assist us when we had to relocate indoors because of the rain. Conversations with her underscored the kindness of the people in this town.

Very nice stuff and good location. but the food is not very healthy. All the options are very fat: I ordered a wrap with chicken and salad, there was a single salad leave and everything was soaked in oil + cheese and bacon. Coleslaw had a funny taste, not fresh, luckily they give so little of it. But the potato chips are the best I've had this year! I was trying to eat healthier but those chips were totally worth a visit.

Lovely cafe here serving top quality coffee as well as full breakfast and lunch. We had breakfast here and the service was excellent and the food was great. The full breakfast was not greasy and the bacon was some of the best I've had. Reasonable priced and in a great location. Check this place out for breakfast before going on the spike island tour

Tugged away on Casement Square this Eatery offers breakfast and lunch 5 days a week. I had the porridge for breakfast which was creamy and came with berry compot! The menu includes all your usual breakfast options including french toast and potato cakes. For brunch you ll find warm salads, burgers and light bites but also steaks. Vegetarian options are very limited for lunch. The Coffee is lovely and so is the staff! Stop by - I am sure it will be tasty

Food, service and view are all very good. I had the special garlic and black bean which was really tasty. One bad part, Metal chairs need to go they are not remotely comfortable unfortunately. However still worth a visit and we will go back.

We ordered, the duck and salt and chilli chips and chicken and spring rolls. Food was cold and tasteless, the duck was very dry as were the chips. Won't be ordering from there again. I will be speaking to the manager tomorrow. Almost €40 for nothing.

Excellent food! I tried duck satay, hot and sour chicken, and Peking chicken. The boys said their crispy chicken was excellent as well! Great place to eat!

Loved this place! Each bite was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. They clearly put a lot of thought into their menu. We shared the patatas bravas and the prawn tapas, both were so delicious. I will add that we came in at a good time and didn’t need reservations for 2 people. However by the time we were well finished with food/1 drink, they were getting ready for a dinner rush and reservations and neglected us. Otherwise everything was phenomenal, especially the focaccia bread.

We’ve been in Ireland a week as of today and this is by far the absolute best food we have had in the country so far. We stayed in Dublin, Waterford and Cork and came to Cobh for the afternoon and stumbled onto Azure Harbor Bistro. All of us are so glad we decided to come in for lunch. This restaurant should definitely be on the @Michelin list or receive a Michelin star. We’ve been to multiple 1, 2 and 3 stars around the world and this restaurant has quality service, an airy ambiance on the coast, and exceptional food. Our group shared multiple plates from the cold and warm tapas menus. We finished with the mushroom and chestnut soup, which came paired with a side of beautiful house made bread and butter. I could worship that soup! To top it the meal off, we finished by sharing the best fish and chips any of us have ever had. If you’re anywhere near Cobh or Cork, and love food, make sure you do not miss this fabulous restaurant for some fantastic food.

Had a phenomenal evening for my father in law's birthday at the Azure Harbour Bistro. Super friendly and attentive service, really lovely atmosphere but it was the food that was the absolute stand out! Beautifully seasonned and imaginative dishes (cod with a mushroom sauce, who knew?) with enough variety to please everyone. We absolutely loved our visit. This is an absolute gem in Cobh 🌟 Go and try it, I garranty you won't be disappointed :)

I was in Cobh for three nights in early July and was thrilled to come across Azure. The menu was varied, which is exactly what I was looking for since I had eaten at two of the more popular restaurants in town my first two nights and was disappointed that their menus were nearly identical. The food was great and perfect portions to not feel stuffed. Atmosphere and service were lovely. This is the perfect place for a date night, celebratory dinner, or just a nice evening out. Definitely check them out!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Was a hard choice to pick the dish especially starters, I didn’t took a photo of the menus unfortunately but they have main and early bird menus that works Thursday to Monday 16-19 and mains have so many tapas that I really considering coming back next time I’m in Cobh 🤤 Thank you for to the staff and the cook for delicious evening!

Very nice food. Staff were lovely and they served us without a reservation which was brilliant since Cobh offers very little dining options after 8.30 in the evening.This restaurant is new and served very good quality food. The duck starter and seafood starter were very unusual and really good. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken with parsnip was gorgeous. Deserts were very nice. Would definitely visit again.

Food was very delicious and nice, unfortunately the Fish&Chips came with a pity amount of tartar sauce and mushy peas. Service on the other hand was horrible considering the restaurant was half empty, having to ask multiple times to every staff including the manager for some glasses for water .. which never came. This wasn’t the only case for us but for every other table around us … 3 times to ask for a bill, 3 times to ask for some cutlery or menus.

Chicken tikka was soup with chicken in it. It wasn't nice at all. Ordered the early bird 3 COURSES had the starter that was nice got my main course that wasn't nice at all they came down took the plates when we had finished. We where then sitting there for 15 minutes when I had to call the waiter back down and asked him could we get our third course and he said that's it the rice that came with our MAIN course was the third course. I told him rice is not a course. I have never heard of this before some joke of a place 👎

I like the food here except the creamy dishes as other people said they are watery . Bhuna is good. Naan is ok. I've ordered online a few times and food always takes over 1 hr . It isn't fast but it's only real curry option in town. Recommend their chicken tikka starter is lovely.

This is not Indian they are just making people fool by calling it Indian, I was in cobh on a work trip had food from here on my first day and I was convinced that not to go back to this restaurant again. I order a deal and man said sheek kebab is not halal so I got doubt what about other food if it’s really halal or he is just trying to sell me. I got my order anyway but it was shocking that I even had to pay for papadom as they don’t give you complimentary with main course, customer service was ridiculous, food has no Indian taste at all, it’s just waste of money to try Indian food in this restaurant.

An excellent meal in a central location. Great service , very warm and friendly atmosphere. Food was top class, plenty of it , and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back again soon.

I went in for a milkshake people who ordered before where giving there food first after 20 mins i ask for my milkshake nd he goes ok in a cheeky voice this isnt the first ive heard of apache they have giving out frozen brownies nd they also reuse ther pizza boxes as ive heard pll saying theyve seen them taking them out of the bin or personally asking people seated in there for there boxes back also ive noticed the workers being racsist in multiple occasions for example my white friends all sat in there tofay but when me nd my black friend(im also black) entered we where kicked out in under 5 SECS yes i couted coundnt forget about the rocks there chips overall badplace better off going to four start

I got apache in cobh tonight, I got a taco fry me and my friends, as I was eating I found a black hair in my food, I felt sick, the try offer me a new taco fry, but I was turned off my food with what I found, and I told them I felt sick and they did nothing for me,

Shocking customer service, staff are rude and unhelpful, food was average. Edit for restaurants kind response: I'm not bothered contacting you your service is shocking and as I previously stated your food is poor. Not the first time I had issues with my order as many times I've had missing items on separate occasions, incorrect order or my food was cold. Won't be seeing any of my business in future :)

I got a lamb döner in freshly baked pita bread from Boname Food Turkish Kebab. It was juicy and full of flavour. The salad inside was fresh and crispy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There’s no space to eat inside, but since Cobh is such a beautiful place, it’s perfect to grab your food and enjoy it outside with a nice view. I’ll definitely go back!

My partner and I ate there on the opening night. You can tell it’s a new team still finding their flow but the food was excellent. We had a chicken Kurdish Kebab and a Lamb Doner Meal, and shared both between us. Firstly the chips are amazing. And I’ve lived in the UK so I know a good fresh cut chip when it’s in my mouth. The salad was excellent, not your usual takeaway salad at all. Fresh, crunchy, crispy and with a wedge of lemon. The lamb doner actually tastes like meat and doesn’t coat your mouth in grease, it feels and tastes like the fat content is lower than most lamb doner meat, very meaty but with great texture. The chicken is perfectly cooked, not at all chewy and the size of the pieces are perfect. The dough that encased my cheesy chickeny goodness was also top notch. Staff are friendly, and everything in the chiller looked fresh and vibrant. I will definitely be back. A lot.

I wish I could have tried the pizza!! We went here to grab a takeaway pizza to bring home and the power went out in all of Cobh just before we placed the order! Thankfully the staff were able to still sell us some fries and a chicken wrap. There was a young man there that also told us a lot about Cork, Cobh, and the surrounding area. He was very friendly to talk to and joke around with. I’ll always wonder what the pizza there is like though… it’ll keep me up night not knowing and will follow me to my grave as one of life’s great mysteries. If possible, could someone please send a pizza from here to Canada?

Got a chicken doner pita. Pita immediately fell apart. Missing tomato and cabbage. No flavor from any of the ingredients including both sauces. Im sure they used a marinara sauce instead of chilli sauce which I wouldn't mind if it tasted like anything. Chicken was dry and incredibly fatty and had no flavor at all. Utter thrash. Worst kebab ive ever had and thats sayin a lot.

The birria tacos were wonderful! It made me feel back home. Cobh is far for me but I would definitely go back to try this food again. 🫶 The only think I would say is that (at least for me), you can add chopped onion and coriander to the birria tacos, that would give a more authentic flavour. Besides that is a 10/10

Pretty authentic Mexican food, of which the Birria tacos are the absolute star. They are tender and greasy in all the good ways, and the dipping sauce is phenomenal. They also offer some sparkling juice drinks that are refreshing. Portions are decent. All dishes come takeaway. There's upstairs seating but feels like a quiet cafeteria or library.

EXCELLENT MEXICAN FOOD!!! We are from Arizona and this Mexican food ranked up with what we used to get. Easy access in the main square and decent levels of parking nearby. Staff was helpful and gave good advice on food. Decent seating. Good location near the titanic experience. Burrito was excellent.

An unexpected find in Cobh! Excellent burritos and bowls with veryy generous portions and fresh ingredients. And also to mention the restaurant quality garlic parmesan fries.

What a great surprise! I’m glad we decided to change things up from the usual pubs and try The Mex instead. It’s very well located, with a few outdoor seats and cozy spots right by the window. The portions were extremely generous. We ordered tacos, loaded fries, and nachos and everything was full of flavor. Highly recommended if you’re in Cobh and craving something different!

Birria tacos are properly nice. The beef is tasty and tender and the consommé is liquid crack. Kinda pricey but what isn't these days. Highly recommend. 'Nacho' average Mexican joint!

Not going to Lie there meat is really the best around as long as you get the lean bit not the fatty stuff. Would recommend the cowboy steak in cooking bag. Not sure about the bakery department only had the cream jam donut which was nice but nothing special. Yet to try there fishmonger or the ready-made dinners. They have a lovely coffee shop as you go inside the main entrance on your right with toilets at the back. They have great cooking bags for meat which i can't seem to find anywhere else. It is a big store good walk outside the town. Reason why I'm giving it 4 stars i believe there is room for improvement like customer service.

There's a woman working in there and oh my god I've never seen someone so miserable. I've had 2 separate run ins with her, to the point she has genuinely given my 9 year old sister dirty looks as we try to pay. Very very strange.

Nice shop with excellent produce especially in the meat section. Lots of fresh food with a huge amount of choice but like all Supervalues this is not a cheap shop. There's a cafe here and a chemist so plenty on site. There is public toilets but on this day at least they were very badly maintained with no toilet paper and nothing even to hold toilet paper on the wall. Even the handicapped toilet had no paper and both toilets were a mess. Had to buy tissues just to blow my nose. Not a good look and reflex badly on the rest of the business.

Its out of the town so it had Easy parking good range of products roomy store, friendly staff,supports local clubs it supplies kinsale bay food award winning soups and pate very tasty and gluten free.

Large Supervalu shop. Has a bakery deli fishmonger butchers and fruit and veg sections it also has a newsagents in store. It carries a wide range of the usual supermarket stuff plus a small electronics section. There is also an ATM, pharmacy, coffee shop and opticians on site.

VERY BAD Disgrace of a pizza shop go to apache much better just across the road and you won't be racially abused there. I worked here for 3 hours and I will never again order or even step foot in the shop. VERY BAD

They gave me the wrong order. I did not know until I removed it from the store. When I returned the pizza to get my order they switched the labels and gave it to the next customer. Once again I removed my own order from the store and that was also incorrect. I ordered double pepperoni but didn't get it. They told me there was too many topping so that's why they put on less on. I told them I wanted a refund and to keep the pizza. They refused to give me a refund me and made me another pizza while only wearing one glove preparing it.

Ordered a pizza for delivery and took over 1 hour to arrive. When it finally arrived pizza was cold! If they want to improve they should ensure that the delivery is quick and food is warm. Cobh is not that big so it shouldn't be that difficult for them. Not impressed at all.

We ordered a pepperoni and a cheese pizza from our hotel. They had a hard time understanding our phone number so we had them deliver to the front desk. Once we opened the boxes we realized they gave us two pepperoni, so we called and apologized and offered to give them back the second pepperoni in exchange for a cheese. The person on the phone was rude and immediately hung up. I felt bad (because we are in the service industry) and told them we would pay for a third pizza, and again they hung up. Upon delivery of the third I tried to tip the delivery man but he walked away so quickly I was unable to even tell him the situation.

Tried every sub on the menu, poor subs barely any topings in them, I was eating literaly bake rool with sauce, could of make that at he with in 1 minute. I don't onow about pizza cuz it's been a while since I had it from them. Average food. It would be so much better if they would actualy throw some topings in it. Specially meat, cuz you irder a bbq chicken or spicy chicken but you wont find it there so make sure you grab you chicken or any other type of meat from home before ordering something :)) good luck

If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid the subs. We ordered 2 BBQ subs and they were disgraceful. The tiniest amount of chicken in them, you could hardly see it. When I complained I was told the company decides how much chicken goes in.
