Modern French restaurant
Restaurant
The French Table Restaurant in Limerick City offers a swanky dining experience with a mix of classic and seasonal French dishes. The restaurant prides itself on using the freshest ingredients from artisan suppliers, ensuring high-quality meals for its guests. Despite its upscale aesthetic, the restaurant also caters to vegan diners with a variety of delicious plant-based options. The ambiance is enhanced by attentive service and carefully curated details like candlelit tables and polished cutlery.
Had a wonderful ladies lunch recently at The French Table. The food was authentic French, with very fresh ingredients and perfectly prepared. The portions were also very generous. Highly recommend Le Civet de biche (venison stew), which was particularly tasty with very tender meat. Thomas runs a wonderful restaurant, highly recommend for any special occasion or even any ordinary occasion. A repeat visit is definitely on the cards.

Brought partner for birthday dinner. From the moment we walked in the two waiters made us feel welcome relaxed and were so professional - they explained things on the menu so well and are a credit to the restaurant. The bread and salted crisps were divine. I had a non alcoholic cocktail and was the nicest na cocktail I have ever had. The food was amazing. So many subtle delicate flavours, unique dishes and care for presentation. The oxtail special started was a highlight - rich in flavour and just right in portion size. The venison stew - mmm tender , flavourful and rich. It was a lovely experience and again the waiters were so professional friendly and made our meal very special. Cannot recommend enough and will return.

Wonderful food, friendly service and in a lovely Riverside location, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here. The highlight for me was the French Onion soup. It was majestic, so full of flavour & texture that I didn't want it to end!
Lewis G — Google review
I really enjoyed my dinner at The French Table. The food was delicious and very well thought out and presented. The service was quick and very friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. The wine list had a great choice for good value. The location is close to everything with handy parking nearby. I really recommend a visit. Thanks to all the staff for a great evening
Andrew C — Google review
I went here for a date night, requested a romantic table and got a perfect corner table with views of the city lights along the river. My partner and I shared two starters, a main and two desserts. The food was beautiful, the service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was relaxed, private and very romantic. The prices are high, yet appropriate for the quality of food and service. I would highly recommend going here for a special treat.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The food and service were great! Pairs very nicely with their bakery, La Patisserie!

A beautiful slice of French food in limerick to enjoy. Understated good food, nice service and a nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you like French classics

It was the most excellent food I have ever had in Ireland. Very friendly restaurant staff and cozy atmosphere. Delicious dishes, I highly recommend 7 hour lamb, tender lamb in excellent sauce. Excellent rosé wine. Special thanks to the chef on.

Restaurant
The East Room Restaurant at Plassey House offers a refined and concise menu created by Chef Derek Fitzpatrick, featuring locally sourced ingredients from foraged or artisanal suppliers, as well as produce from the restaurant's rooftop garden. The evening tasting menu presents six courses with options like scallops, beef, or fresh catch. A la carte choices include venison loin with maple squash and wild halibut with crubbeen chorizo.
From the moment you enter into the building, you know you're in for a very special time. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. The real star of the evening was the food. From the presentation to the quality and standard, it is definitely deserving of a Michelin Star.
PAUL K — Google review
My fiance, her family and I visited the East Room at Plassey House for her graduation yesterday. The food the service and the ambiance were all first class. Goran and the rest of the front of house staff took care of us from the second we arrived and made our evening special. Would definitely recommend.

What an experience! The service from the maitre D was exceptional. He was very accommodating, very informative and very knowledgeable, not just with the menu, but about other countries and his experiences. The food was exquisite, the tastes were intense and full of flavour. The presentation and attention to detail was perfect. We were allowed to tour the building while waiting for our desserts. For me this is classed as a real treat to dine here as it is more expensive than other restaurants but well worth the experience. Can't wait to go back.
Annmarie B — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about my dining experience here. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. Mr. Vincenzo Del Santo, the manager, was so personable & always made sure us, & every table there, was doing well. His passion shines through him. I highly recommend dining here if given the chance. The building is beautiful & the service, plus the great food, makes for a magical experience.
Shivani B — Google review
It was my first time dining in this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. The portions were tiny but the food was incredible. The menu was unique and I have not tried anything like it before. I was really glad to go there. I recommend !
JP L — Google review
Celebrated a special occasion with a delicious and luxurious lunch. Will go back for dinner. Lunch exceeded our expectations with food quality, service and convenience. We made an online reservation the day before for 12:30 Sunday. Received confirmation immediately. Sunday was quiet at the University as they are shutting down next week for staff Annual Leave break. Vincenzo and Holly took care of us. Both were so warm and personable that we felt at ease and so relaxed in this historic setting. Pace was perfect. Menu changes daily but offered 3 choices for each course from vegetarian, fish and meat. This restaurant is a gem. Go early and you may be lucky like us to initially have the restaurant and staff to yourself.
Tom D — Google review
We went to the East Room last night as a table of 6 for my wife’s birthday. The tasting menu was spot on from start to finish. Everything was presented beautifully, seasoned perfectly and portions were bang on for a tasting menu. Good value for the quality of food. Favourited were the potato dish w smoked eel, and celeriac sauce and cod w prawn ravioli. The building is amazing and a great alternative venue for a restaurant. Service was fantastic with Vincenzo being very friendly and professional. Thanks for accomodating my dad. My mother had never done a tasting menu and she loved it. Service was paced very well and very friendly which was great. We will back.

Just had a wonderful dining experience at the East Room. We were celebrating a graduation and decided to splurge on a fine meal. No better place to spoil a smart graduate. Picky GF diner was most happy with her options.

Restaurant
La Cucina, with two locations in Limerick, offers an authentic Italian dining experience. The restaurant serves a rich variety of mouthwatering Italian dishes for lunch and dinner, including bruschetta, pasta, pizzas, steak, and fish. The Castletroy location near the University of Limerick provides a cozy Italian cafe experience with breakfast options ranging from granola to Irish fry ups and waffles.
Delicious food made with top quality ingredients. This small restaurant is really a hidden gem and needs to be experienced. The intimate setting gives the place a homey and inviting atmosphere and the staff are excellent. Additionally, a great option to order a take away for at home. For lunch, dinner or just a sweet treat and a coffee, you won't be disappointed!
Vivienne C — Google review
The variety and taste marks this restaurant out as the best italian in Limerick in my opinion. Staff and service matches the intimate and homely space and atmosphere and the passion for food is obvious. Delicious food made with top quality ingredients. A real gem.
Brian M — Google review
The staff are fabulous. They take care of everyone with kindness. And the food is great as well.
James W — Google review
From the moment you walk into this little Italian gem, you’re greeted like family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with the highest quality food and coffee. Every dish I’ve had from salads to pasta has been impressive, however their burrata and hot honey pizza is something else. I cannot say enough about the standard, all the sweet treats and desserts are amazing- again a special mention to the tiramisu!! The service is just as impressive as the food. Every member of staff goes above and beyond, but I have to give a special mention to Eoin. He’s simply the best — friendly, attentive, and somehow always knows exactly what you need before you even ask. He makes every visit that bit more special. If you’re after delicious Italian food, excellent coffee and wine, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers, this place is a must-visit.
Katie H — Google review
We are long term customers, I come with both my girls weekly and Eoin is normally there. My eldest daughter has autism and today we had her support dog with us, a tiny teacup chihuahua, she was in my cardigan. We were told rudely by a guy called Martin that we had to eat outside with the dog, it was raining and wet!!! We feel we were treated so rudely with a complete lack of understanding of Autistic support dogs and my child. We are always treated brilliantly there by Eoin, but this guy Martin has absolutely no empathy and is in no way welcoming, he is in fact rude and lacking in any customer service. We left rather than sit outside in the rain, Martin was putting up an umbrella outside when we left as if we were expected to give over money to pay for a meal and sit outside in the winf and rain
Niamh O — Google review
Hi La Cucina, I’m sorry that this isn’t a positive review. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, and the rolls and cakes used to be excellent. The cakes were once kept safely behind glass, which made sense in such a small space. Now they’re beside the till, and I found myself leaning over to get my coffee and trying not to bump the cakes. As I was leaving, another customer’s woolly jumper brushed very close to them, which felt too close for comfort. The rolls, once beautifully made, like the ciabatta with mozzarella, pesto, and aubergine, have been replaced by a simpler sandwich. The bread was soggy, the filling minimal, and overall it didn’t feel like something worth €10.
Maggie B — Google review
Had a light snack with a friend to catch up, ordered the Al Pomodoro bruschetta. There was a good portion of tomatoes with garlic and olive oil on the bread but needed more bread to balance the flavour of the tomatoes otherwise you would have some left over. The mocha is a really nice drink that goes well with it. It's a good place for a bite to eat but kind of cramped. Service was very good, the staff were friendly and efficient!

The cafe is also known for its excellent coffee selection, offering choices from Badger & Dodo and other rotating roasters.
Great coffee, highly recommend! Beautiful served. Super friendly staff & quick service. Minimal decor style with long sharing tables. Can't rate food as I haven't eaten there yet but what I saw being served looks great. This will be one of my regular coffee haunts in Limerick!

Cozy place, good coffee, the toast I had was delicious and the fries were fantastic. The people working there was also amazing, definitely worth a visit! PS.: to the pink-haired girl: we forgive you. Thanks for the bread!

Did not expect the size of the food here! They were HUGE! Great taste, great coffee, lovely seating looking outside, what more can we ask.
Zung T — Google review
Staff are always very friendly here. Coffee is nice, they have a selection of roasts, which is cool. Food is nice too, maybe a tiny bit pricey but it's nice for a treat. It's unfortunate since a few places fall victim to this, but I think the overall experience is more suited for eating in. Looking forward to that day post lockdown. I feel like a 5 stars is due then and you'll get more value for money.
Eóin B — Google review
Lovely food and have some great deals, like the lunch time special. The ingredients are excellent quality and locally sourced, which I always admire as supporting local is so important. The coffee is amazing too, and the staff are very friendly :)

The iced Vietnamese coffee is great so is the french toast. Unfortunately the bacon in Irland is not our cup of tea. The same here. But the staff was nice and we had a lovely brunch.

Coffee shop
Rift Coffee, situated on Upper Mallow Street, is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The cafe's minimalist interiors are adorned with shelves of indie food and drink suppliers' products. It's a dog-friendly establishment with outdoor seating, making it an ideal place to spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying pastries and exploring the diverse brunch menu.
Beautiful cafe, I always love it when they have little local goodies that you can buy. Looked to also have a great selection of wines and items for a charcuterie board. Coffee was delicious, as was the lemon drizzle cake. Plug points available, where I was sitting on the window seats. Staff were also super friendly. Great time here, would absolutely come back.
Abigail S — Google review
We had a delicious meal here, both our sandwiches were really good and well prepared. Staff was meh. We were also seated next to a staff only room with constant traffic. Each time they opened the door, it slammed shut, which quickly got irritating and disrupted our visit.
José H — Google review
Gorgeous breakfast in this very dog friendly café. Dogs are allowed inside! The avocado toast was a revelation. Delicious hot chocolate too made from their own special hot chocolate sauce. Great atmosphere too! Really popular.
Rebecca — Google review
Very delicious. I had the breakfast burger which really surprised me with how flavorful and well paired it was. I’ve never had anything with horseradish in it that I liked except this. The espresso was top notch!
Marissa C — Google review
the avo toast with the beautiful beetroot and hint of szechwan & cumin seeds and some incredible olive oil was divine. great quality beans used in their coffee. only thing was we felt that +€3 for the single rash of bacon on the avo toast was a bit steep, but would definitely go back! also they are pet friendly!

I was looking for a cafè to study, inside was too loud so I would not recommend it as a place to study and focus but I would definitely go again for the excellent pastry and the really good coffee. A great spot to hung with friends

Cornstore Limerick offers a vibrant dining experience with a focus on organic, free-range, and artisan meats and fish, complemented by a selection of cocktails. The restaurant has been recognized for its efforts to provide healthier food options for children, offering child-size portions of adult meals as an alternative to standard kids' menus. With face painters during Sunday lunch and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for midweek dining with newborns, it caters to families while maintaining an upscale yet laid-back ambiance.
Cornstore in Limerick offers a fantastic dining experience with high-quality food, great service, and a stylish atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy feel, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The menu is well-curated, with a strong focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The steak and seafood dishes are standout options, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. They also offer great vegetarian choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The cocktails and wine selection complement the meals beautifully. Service is excellent—staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The overall experience feels polished yet relaxed, adding to the restaurant’s charm. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of the food and ambiance make it well worth it. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience in Limerick, Cornstore is definitely worth a visit.
Quarnet — Google review
The food was lovely. I have no complaints about that. But one thing did leave a bad taste, the steak sandwich was small on the lunch menu and vastly overpriced at €18 for the size. For €18 it needs to include the chips and a small side salad. I thought the honey glazed carrots were fine at €4. But the dauphinoise were expensive at €12 for the side. Knocking a few € off cocktail prices and desserts wouldn't be a bad thing either. I can totally understand why the restaurant was pretty empty at lunchtime. The staff were good. But I can't see us ever going here again on trips to Limerick until the business gets back in the real world with pricing.
Kevin T — Google review
Came here with a large group. Food was decent but pricey. Staff were unusual - requested we gather plates which were in reach and one raised their voice at a guest, which quietened our table and surrounding tables. I understand the challenges of service, but this felt off. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
Niamh F — Google review
Fabulous food and drinks menu. Ribeye Steak was cooked to perfection. Pepper sauce was sublime. A real treat . Wine selection was excellent. Staff were attentive and very friendly.
Yogi B — Google review
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and it was very lovely. The staff were friendly and nice although we had a couple of different waiters which caused confusion at times regarding orders. Since I had gone here before I wanted to try small bites like the mini lobster rolls, the burrata and a side of truffle mac and cheese. All of the food was tasty, even though I did not get a main, i found everything to be filling. I had to ask for bread with the burrata, when I read "pan tomato" I assumed it came with it. It was creamy so it went perfectly with bread. The lobster rolls would be an appetiser for most people but given the rich flavours, I thought the portion was good. Mac and cheese was great but some people might find the aroma of truffle a bit different. The taste was light and really good. Good portion for a side. The night was very enjoyable but I noticed my boyfriend looking around as if he was waiting for something throughout the meal. It turned out, he had sent in a request to the restaurant for my birthday to do something and he would pay for anything they did extra. There were a good few birthday cakes the staff brought out for other diners whilst singing but I never got one. I didn't know until we had left that he included that request but I suppose it was a little disappointing they didn't read what he had sent in the booking.

What an excellent dining experience right in the heart of Limerick’s city center. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of lively and welcoming. The Confit Duck Leg was cooked to perfection—rich, flavorful, and absolutely to die for. I also loved the Honeysuckle cocktail, a great choice for vodka lovers who enjoy something sweet yet refreshing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to answer all my questions, making an American feel right at home. Highly recommend Cornstore for anyone looking for a memorable meal in Limerick!
Bryce R — Google review
Was in the Cornstore in Limerick recently and honest to God, it was top class from start to finish. The place has a lovely buzz about it, proper nice décor, and the staff are absolute legends—so sound and on the ball without being in your face. Now the food… different gravy. The prawn pil pil was savage—sizzling in garlic and chilli oil, full of flavour, and the bread for dipping was the job. Then we got the mussels in garlic sauce and they were melt-in-the-mouth good—fresh as anything, swimming in this rich, garlicky broth you'd nearly drink with a spoon! Steak was cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were spot on too—real tasty without being all sugar and no kick. For the quality of the grub and the whole experience, the prices are a bit dear but you know you’re in a proper place that takes pride in what they’re doing. If you’re knocking about Limerick and fancy a decent feed in a lovely spot, Cornstore’s where it’s at. And don’t leave without trying that pil pil or the mussels—they’re magic.

Our first trip to Limerick and we booked this early for a Friday evening. The service was great, the food excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. We had salmon and bream beautifully cooked, fresh ingredients and wonderful flavours. It was so good that we booked again for later the next evening. Restaurant much busier and yet there was still great service and good food served promptly. A good selection of wines and cocktails. Overall the place has a warm, friendly atmosphere with a mix of families, friends and couples. Most importantly we could see how hard the kitchen and serving staff worked to deliver great food efficiently and with genuine hospitality. Worth every cent.

Modern European restaurant
Restaurant
Texas Steakout, located in Limerick City, offers a wide range of delicious dishes in a Wild West-themed atmosphere. Established in 1989 as the city's first steakhouse, it has expanded over the years to accommodate more guests and offer an extensive menu. Specializing in Irish steaks, the restaurant also serves American, International, and Mexican cuisine. The family-friendly spot provides a lovely atmosphere for a pleasant evening with loved ones.
My daughter and I enjoyed a delicious meal. We both had beef and chicken fajitas, one with chips and the other with mash and pepper sauce. We had deserts too, chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding. We both had a cappuccino, and my one was decaffeinated. The branding was excellent e.g. napkins, glasses, and the cappuccino even had an imprint of their bull logo. We really enjoyed our time here. The ladies and gentlemen who waited our table were professional and courteous. The food was 10/10. The bathrooms were immaculate. We will definitely be back.

It’s been quite awhile since I was in this restaurant we were seated straight away. We both loved the restaurant and how cozy and comfortable it was, we were served very quickly and the staff were friendly, I ordered the filet steak and it was cooked perfectly, my wife had the burger and she loved it, we will have to come back again as there is a lot on their menu that I would like to try. My only complaint was the onion rings I found the batter too heavy.
Noel C — Google review
Overall, it was a very good experience and the meat was very good. Of course, we did select the fillet, so it should be good. Service was good and the steaks were expensive, however, not above any other restaurants in the area and everything else was reasonably priced and I found many things such as drinks and sides a lot cheaper. Only negative is that the Bourbon sauce was a little too sweet for my liking.
Anthony O — Google review
Food was amazing.. atmosphere was fab we loved the decor. Only negative we would have had was that as we were midway through eating starters staff leaned infront of us to lay cutlery for main course. Usually this is done when starters are cleared not as ur eating.
Kelley L — Google review
It was a great feel and the food was just like back home! Even the bourbon BBQ sauce for the bourbon burger. I got a 10oz ribeye medium and it was cooked perfectly to temp. I asked for a sear and they didn’t get that part thought. We also had the kids ribs. My 8yo was sad it only came with 2 ribs. We got the sampler as a meal plate and split it. The only thing lacking was service. We are water drinkers and couldn’t get them to keep our water full. We had to ask several times for each refill. It didn’t make sense. One of the waitresses was also snippy with me. Maybe it was just a long day but it was off putting. Service was a 3/5. We’d definitely go back for some Texas food!

Food was good but if you're from the South [US] don't expect it to actually be tex-mex/Texan. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what I expected. Food wasn't spicy even the stuff listed as spicy, flavors a bit bland, but nothing bad. The guac was a dud. We were put in a nook and kinda forgotten about (relatively normal for Ireland servers). It was overall a good experience though. Our last stop before and am flight. Sept 17, 2024.

Had a lovely romantic meal here with my husband. I had a delicious veggie stir fry and was pleasantly surprised to see more than one option for vegan food at a steak house. I also joyously drunk a No Alcohol Frozen Margarita that just perfected the night.

The Curragower Bar and Restaurant is a popular spot in Limerick, known for its high-quality food and award-winning menu. Situated in the medieval quarter of the city, it offers both indoor dining with an atmospheric ambiance and outdoor seating with stunning views of King John's Castle and the Curragower Falls.
Must go! We had the chicken waffles, seafood chowder, and seafood pie. All were chock-full of flavor. The seafood chowder came with brown bread and was stuffed with various fish. The seafood pie was topped with delicious savory mashed potatoes and was piping hot. Chicken and waffles with salsa had just a little heat and was sweet, perfect! Servers were friendly and worked quickly. The covered patio with glass windows is beautiful on a clear or rainy day and offers gorgeous views of the water. They carry lots of zero-zero options. Can't wait to go again!

We booked a team dinner here based on strong recommendations and had colleagues visiting from the U.S., so expectations were high. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. The room we were seated in was extremely warm—so much so that we ended up using our dessert menus as fans just to stay comfortable. At this price point (we spent nearly €400), I would have expected a better dining environment. On the food side, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Most dishes were good—the fish, in particular, was excellent and I’d recommend it. However, the burger was disappointing. When I went to take a bite, something (possibly the bacon) didn’t sit right. Thankfully, our server was very professional and helpful—she provided great service and kindly removed the burger from the bill without hesitation. Overall, the experience was just okay. Given the price, I’d be hesitant to return, but credit where it’s due: the service was warm and attentive, and the fish was a standout.

The plus side of Curragower: it has a wonderful view of the Shannon and King John's Castle across the river, especially if you choose outside seating. The place was so buy when we ate there that we didn't have that option. The down side: it's a bit touristy and the quality of its food is uneven. My seafood chowder was okay, but just yesterday in Limerick, I had a bowl of seafood chowder that was superior to what Curragower offers. Its bowl is generous with seafood, but the sauce is thick as if flour has been added to it. My dining companion was disappointed that his seafood pie was far more potato than seafood. The food is well-plated and attractive, however. Service is quick and efficient, and the surroundings are very pleasant. So take your pick, plus or minus: nice surroundings, good service, great view, but food that can vary in quality.

It's a fabulous place to sure outside and enjoy and great view. Make sure you make reservations as they do book up very quickly. We had great seats outdoors and ordered wine and beer. We ordered their fish and chips, seabreem and mackerel. We got a side order of salad as well. The food was very good. The chips with the fried fish were especially good! We ended with their sticky toffee pudding which was good but I think the pecans took away from the traditional flavor but I did enjoy the crunch. Overall it was a very good experience.
Monica B — Google review
Lovely atmosphere. Reservations required and we got the glass house. Hostess wasn’t there when we arrived but seated us once she got there. Food was alright. Fish was bug portion but soggy in middle (frozen / not cooked long enough?) — pity as the parts not soggy were lovely. Prawns were a little rubbery yet shell not crispy (grill not hot enough?) & the 3 sauces lacked flavour. Chips were delicious (both thin & double cooked).
Saba L — Google review
Just had dinner at The Curragower and would highly recommend. The food was absolutely amazing, the cozy fall decorations were wonderful, and the views from the glass room overlooked the River Shannon and King John's Castle. What more could you ask for.
Ev — Google review
We stumbled upon this place after walking from King John’s castle. We wanted seafood and they delivered. We ordered the mussels, calamari, seabream and a side of Caesar. The seabream was nicely seasoned with a crispy edge and it came with risotto, a giant prawn and caviar. My son ate most of the mussels and calamari so I think that means it was great. We finished with Eton Mess — a meringue dessert.
Nichelle S — Google review
Had an amazing meal at The Curragower Bar and Kitchen — this place seriously hits the spot. It's right by the river with views of King John's Castle (major bonus), and the vibe is just chill and welcoming. The food? Unreal. Tried a few vegetarian options and was genuinely impressed. The Eden Burger is packed with flavour, the risotto is creamy and comforting, and the summer salad is super fresh and zingy — perfect on a warm day. And don’t even get me started on the sticky toffee pudding... rich, gooey, and absolutely lip-smacking. You need to save room for it. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it’s close to the city centre — give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot, especially during busy times. All in all, great food, lovely staff, and one of the nicest spots in Limerick to kick back with a pint or a proper meal. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic meal last weekend for a birthday celebration. There were 6 people in our party. Everyone ordered something different and everything was absolutely perfect. Hot food delicious and all served at the same time. Staff were very good just the right amount of attentiveness and not a bit intrusive. The only thing I can mention is that on the website you can only book a maximum of 4 people. I had to text to book the additional 2 people. This maybe something to look at. But we have zero complaints about the food restaurant or service. Keep up the good work and the staff are brilliant.

We went there based on the google reviews and here we are leaving one because not enough of them do this place justice. 2 dinners were had and between the 8 dishes tried I can confidently give them each a 10 out of 10. Superb atmosphere. Excellent service. Don’t hesitate!

We had a great last meal in limerick at this restaurant! The place inside is very cozy, too bad it was almost 80 degrees outside. Anyway, we ordered a bottle of prosecco and got the sour dough bread and bread which was amazing. I ordered the lamb shank with roasted potatoes. It was delicious with the meat falling off the bone. My daughter got the prawn linguini which was very good. My husband got the chicken which was delicious as well. We ended with the creme brulee which was yum. Overall it was a very nice experience!

My friends & I have been talking about going to Freddys for years - Time just got away from us & we finally had the chance to go last night and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was exceptional. As a vegetarian, I struggle to get anything that isn't a standard curry or thrown together stir fry, but the options at Freddys were amazing and the nut roast was by far the best veggie food I've ever eaten in Ireland. My friends, all non veggies, said their food was divine too. Would absolutely recommend to anybody and everybody.

The interior exudes sleekness, providing a cozy atmosphere perfect for any weather. The outdoor area is also available for those sunny days.
We had a fantastic breakfast at The Buttery in Limerick! I ordered the full Irish breakfast, my husband had the buttermilk pancakes, and our friend went for the four-egg omelette, everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was warm and friendly, and we felt really well taken care of. The decor is also super cute, cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great spot to start your day!

The best full Irish I have had in years! The quality of ingredients is clear. Staff are lovely too. But the best part, it is super dog friendly! Dogs are allowed inside. They even brought a bowl of water and treats as soon as we came in! Ireland needs more dog friendly places like this!

Hands down the best french toast I have ever had, I would honestly give them 6 stars for the food. The atmosphere is adorable and fun. The coffee is delicious as well! My only critique is that it took a super long time for our server to cash us out… we sat there with our dishes stacked at the end of the table for quite a while. Other than that, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall, the experience was great and I would 100% come back for another meal!!❤️

We were recommended here by a local for our Limerick visit and it didn't disappoint. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. We were told the specials and asked about dietary requirements which applied to one of our group which was great as she was looked after. Food was great and came out quickly and it was clean plates all round. Place was warm and welcoming and perfect refuge from the driving wind and rain outside. The booths looked lovely so when I'm booking next I'll specify sitting there. Will definitely revisit when back in Limerick.

Fantastic spot for breakfast, especially if you’re gluten-free! The menu had so many gluten-free options, and everything felt 100% safe for those with dietary restrictions. The portions were generous, and the food was absolutely delicious. The cafe was super busy, so I’d definitely recommend making a booking to secure a table. Great atmosphere and a must-visit for breakfast lovers!

House Limerick is a unique and historic structure located on the riverside, originally built as a toll collection point in the 1840s. It stands out due to its faux defensive structure attached to the small building, adding grandeur to its appearance. Although not open to the public, its peculiar placement and contrast with the surrounding neighborhood make it an interesting sight for a leisurely stroll along the Shannon.

What a great discovery in Limerick. If you're keen on a higher then usual standard in Ireland, this is a must. Kindly, friendly and efficient staff. I visited this place and spoke with Damie, the manager. Even though there were many open tables, I was told they were all reserved. It’s very frustrating to see so much space available but not be able to sit down. When I asked about the waiting time, I was only told that it “depends,” without a clear answer. We were a group of nine, just looking to enjoy some drinks together, but it wasn’t possible. It would be great if the place could better accommodate groups who want to come, relax, and have a good time.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Adare, 1826 Adare is a charming thatched cottage restaurant with a rich history dating back to the year 1826. Led by chef Wade Murphy, the restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its focus on seasonal and local ingredients. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, along with excellent service, adds to the overall appeal of this rustic gem.
Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. The awards adorn this lovely little cottage and they are well deserved. The service was impeccable and attentive. The atmosphere is quaint and the cottage vibes help bring in the feeling of home hearth. We started our drinks with whiskey and a Gewurztraminer for Grandma. The water was W.B. Years water and it was delicious. We ordered 4 appetizers from there, the Scotch Egg, the Crab Tart, the Fried Dooncastle Oysters, and the French Onion Soup. We also ordered the fresh made bread with farmhouse butter. It was my first time ever trying a scotch egg and it was soooo delicious with the homemade beer mustard. It wasn't overpowering and paired with the apple puree and creamy yolk of the egg, everything was nice and smooth. The oysters were fantastic as well as the French Onion Soup. The gruyere and the bread used in the soup accompanied the creamy texture so well. The highlight of the appetizers was the fresh crab tart. The quality of crab used was remarkable and the presentation was elevated by the flavor of every different dollop of sauce. The crunch of the flaky phyllo-dough like crust with the refreshing brightness of the sweet creme fraiche tied the full dynamic flavor of the crab tart together. We could've ordered three so that we would have had our own. For the main course, we ordered the Duck, the Lamb, and the Sirloin. Grandma was able to substitute the bacon and crispy onion mash for her chips and that was very nice of the Chef. All of our entrees were locally sourced as well as the veggies. Grandma ordered her sirloin Med. Well and she said it was cooked exactly how she liked it. My lamb was delicious and cooked to a nice Med. rare. My favorite part was the texture of the seared and seasoned crust with the soft and juicy center. The quality of lamb was awesome with its flavor not being overpowered by gaminess. I absolutely loved my giant grilled asparagus. It was thick without being too fibrous. My polenta was crisped to perfection and the flavor was perfectly savory. My husband's Duck was the favorite entree. Grandma has never had Duck and loved it. The duck was cooked a perfect Med rare and absolutely melted in our mouth. I've only seen hasselback potatoes on Instagram and I was ecstatic to finally try it. We devoured our entrees and moved onto dessert, which we ordered 4 again. We ordered the Pudding Pot, the Soufflé, the "Faked" Alaska, and the creme brulée. While we waited the 20 mins for the pudding pot and the Soufflé, we ordered an espresso and an Irish Coffee. Both of which came with a delicious chocolate cookie. The desserts came out and blew us away. The server assistant prepared the Soufflé by pouring in the toffee. I went after the lemon curd Alaska with the meringue. We shared the pudding pot and the Soufflé. Grandma loved her creme brulée. Our favorite was probably the Soufflé and my 2nd was the Faked Alaska. I loved the contrast of the warm Soufflé with the cold lemon curd under the meringue. This was a very long-winded review but this was one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. This dinner would be $800-$900 easily in Las Vegas and we walked out under $400 after tip. The cottage is from 1826 as part of the service homes for the Adare Manor. The love and passion of Chef Murphy and his wife Elaine are reflected in the fact that it is a well respected restaurant in town. Our hotel said we were lucky to get reservations there and that they are usually full. Thank you so much, Chef Murphy! Truly a delight.

We had a wonderful experience at 1826. It is in a cozy thatch roofed cottage with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is attentive and caring with their service and are willing to answer questions and they were all very sweet. From appetizers to dessert, each dish was presented with care and tasted phenomenal. Since the menu does change I don’t want to make suggestions that might not extend to others but my braised short rib was out of this world. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Adare. Be sure to make a reservation.

We celebrated a birthday dinner with a group of 10 at 1826 Adare, and the whole experience was simply outstanding. The food was professional, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The chicken melted in the mouth, while the pork was incredibly soft and tender — every dish left us impressed. The atmosphere of the old cottage is warm and welcoming, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A big thank you to the entire team — from the waiters to the chefs — for making the evening so special. The birthday boy is still glowing with happiness, and all of us left with smiles and full hearts. We are more than satisfied and will definitely be back. An unforgettable evening with excellent food, great service, and wonderful mood — highly recommended!

Coqbull Castletroy is a trendy spot with top-class service and delicious food. The friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for family celebrations or casual brunches. The menu features classic beef and chicken burgers, as well as an addictive spice bag for the especially hungry. Guests rave about the Eggs Benedict and recommend ending the meal with the irresistible sundae.
Food was absolutely delicious! I had the halloumi fajitas and garlic & cheese fries. Lovely as a vegetarian to have something other than just veg in the fajitas. Chips were divine! Himself said he’s never had a better burger and he doesn’t give praise like that lightly. The dessert , chocolate rolo pot was sublime! And the staff were so lovely and a joy to deal with. Can’t believe it took us so long to try here, we’ll 100% be back and soon.

The food here was too yummy and the quantity is decent enough. The chips that come along with the burger is coated with some spicy powder and it is very delicious. And I had the best ever hot chocolate of my life at this place. It was toooo good and a must try here. The location is easy to find and the place is very pleasant and peaceful. We had an all-round fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious everything was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The staff were genuinely lovely: warm, friendly, and super attentive from the moment we arrived. The value for money was excellent generous portions at a really reasonable price, which made the whole experience even better. It’s also a great spot for group bookings! We had our staff party here, and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The team made sure everything ran perfectly, and everyone left happy and well-fed. Highly recommend for both small meals and larger gatherings we’ll definitely be back!

I used to love eating here, but the quality has gone completely downhill. I gave it one last try today and ordered the Caesar wrap — big mistake. It was disgusting. The wrap was burnt, the chicken tasted off and clearly wasn’t fresh, and the only thing it had going for it was the overwhelming, foul taste of bad chicken. To make things worse, the chips were stone cold. It actually made me feel physically sick. I’ve since heard from others that the food standards here have seriously dropped — clearly, they were right. I won’t be coming back

Nice food, but I missed some seasoning. For example, the mash potatoes tasted just like potatoes, or even the Mac & Cheese, didn't feel a lot of flavors. Also, the coke wasn't cold, but they gave me a glass with ice and turn out a watery coke. The sirloin steak was amazing, also the chips! Overall, pretty good.

First of all the positives. We go to both the Coqbull in town and Castletroy regularly. The food is always really good. However the portion sizes have decreased significantly and it's no longer on my list of places to go as its no longer good value ( lunch deal aside ) I ordered boneless wings two weeks ago in town and actually handed them back and I never send food back. It actually looked like a starter portion and I'd to check it wasn't a mistake with the order. I called the manager and was told the portion is smaller as the wings were boneless. To be fair he did offer me something else which was decent of them and my girlfriends steak sandwich was excellent. Last night we got takeaway desert. 3 Strawberry Smashes. This seems to have replaced the Eton Mess which was outstanding although the strawberry smash is minus the meringue. The Eton Mess was served in a good sized plastic container and was topclass. Desert last night was in a small cardboard cup and was literally 1/3 the size of the previous one, while it was tasty I'm sorry but the portion size was scandalous you need to do better. To top it all off I gave €25 and should have got €1 back. The server gave me back €16 when I told him he needed to keep €15 of it i didn't even get as much as a thank you.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Limerick's Medieval Quarter, Treaty City Brewery is a delightful destination for craft beer enthusiasts. Founded by local Stephen Cunneen, this brewery pays homage to its surroundings with beers like Harris Pale Ale and Thomond Red Ale. Visitors can embark on guided tours from Thursday to Sunday, exploring the fascinating history of brewing that dates back to the 1700s while enjoying tastings in beautifully restored 18th-century buildings.
I first heard about this place a couple years ago. For starters, I had never been to Ireland in my life until October, 2022. Immediately fell in love with the country. Have since been back five more times. Returning again in October. And although I had covered most major cities & areas of both the North & South, Limerick was one place I hadn’t seen yet. So this past April during my weeklong trip to Dublin, I decided to take an overnight in historic Limerick. In preparation for my trip, and through seeing a bunch of Ireland Instagram Influencer posts & videos, Treaty City Brewery kept coming up as a highly recommend place to visit. (And the many positive reviews online seemed to back this up.) So I marked it down as a “must-visit”. I’m so glad I did. What a cool place with a super-friendly staff. I originally planned on going for just one pint, since my time in town was tight. Ended up staying for four pints. Located in the Medieval Quarter (the oldest section of Limerick), Treaty City Brewery is as great as advertised. I was greeted by Rhys, who was working the taps that day. I told him how much I was looking forward to going there. He gave me a nice synopsis of their inspiring history, daily operations, brewing process, types of beers they offer, etc. (A spiel which I’m sure he must recite countless times; being a “frontline ambassador”. But he relayed it to me in the genuine manner of someone who truly takes pride in their job and the brand they represent.) I tried three different beer styles; all of which were delicious. I started with the Sarsfield Stout (which I believe is more or less their flagship beer). It was excellent. I then tried a Harris Pale Ale. Just so good. And then finally a Gowl Acting Seaweed Stout, which ended up being my favorite. (So of course I had one more!) After the encouraging of Rhys, I checked out the upstairs. What a relaxing place to hang out and enjoy a pint with good company. A very warm, rustic, and welcoming setting. You can just feel the history of a centuries-old building that was restored; but not restored to the extent of losing its historic charm. Back downstairs I met another local who had just popped in named Jonathan. Him, Rhys, and I had the friendly craic I so love about the Irish for a while; discussing everything from Limerick’s rich history to the GAA (which I’ve just been starting to get into, so I appreciated them answering my numerous questions). And those two lads also knew a ton about American sports. (They kept this Yank on his toes with all their knowledge!) Another aspect I liked about this brewery is they’re pet-friendly. While I was there a couple cute dogs came in with their owners. (I guess it would’ve been odd if they came in on their own.) And Rhys made sure to give them each a treat. I was really enjoying my time there and wished I could’ve stayed longer. The atmosphere was so chill & friendly amongst everyone I encountered there (personnel, patrons, and pups alike). But since I was only in Limerick for the night, and I wanted to check out a couple other historic sites & pubs before turning in, I knew I had to bid my newfound friends farewell. But I can’t recommend Treaty City Brewery highly enough. If you’re paying a visit to Limerick soon, and especially if you’re a fan of fantastic craft beers, please pay them a visit. Trust me. The hype is warranted. The vibe is on point. The reviews are real. And you won’t be disappointed. Sláinte! 🍻

This place is a vibe! Super friendly staff, great location close to King John's Castle, really neat historical building. I'll forever be attempting to recreate the amazing toastie's they serve here.

Went for a visit to Treaty City Brewery in limerick and my oh my what a beautiful place. The beer selection is very high quality, and the service is definitely 5 star, the management i have to say truly runs this business like a world Class professional, yes world Class. My experience was welcoming and yes i will be back with all my friends, they also do a real top Barbecue on selected days. Highly Recommend

This is a brewry bar in one of Limericks oldest street which leads right up to King John's Castle. Offering a selection of local and own brews, ales and stout. The decor is rustic and with old mismatched furniture, which adds to its unique charm . Their toastie has a renowned reputation just perfect with a beer.
HEY J — Google review
The building is very interesting and the seats are cozy, no complaints there. The first few minutes here though had some issues. When we walked in there was no one behind the bar so we had to wait a few minutes until she came out of the back. Out of three beers ordered, one was out of stock and two out of the three sandwiches were out of stock. All we're still being advertised though. If you know you are out of something, take it off the menu. It was pretty slow, so there was no excuse for neglecting this. When the sandwiches arrived they had made two of a vegan with chicken added instead of a vegan with chicken (we ordered this since the savage stuff was out of stock) instead of one vegan with chicken and a hang. They brought us a hang eventually but I don't understand how they made the mistake. We ended up having to pay for all three even though we only ordered two. The beers and sandwiches we got were all excellent, and if I lived in Limerick I would definitely be here often, but with inattentive and borderline unfriendly staff, training should be provided on how to properly staff and run a tasting room.

I enjoy going here, friendly staff who can offer great advice on what drink to get, good atmosphere and nice toasties. I haven't bought one yet but I like the look of their tshirts too!

This place is a gem, and a considerable spoke in the wheel of Limerick's rejuvenated entertainment offering. Great setting in the ancient old town, and craft beer from Limerick. How can you skip this place? Any social event in Limerick should start with a beer tasting here. Well done.

Couldn't recommend it more than enough! It's perfect to stop by during the day whether it be before a match or just a casual Friday. A perfect blend of coziness & craft beer.

An exceptional surprise. Lots of adventurous vegetarian and vegan options, but also plenty of great more traditional options, and some delicious winners and beers to go with it. Absolutely not what you would expect from the location, but we'll definitely be back!

Amazing service and tasty lunch! The food was a tiny bit delayed which we didn't mind at all, but the waitress offered us free coffee on the house to make up for it!

We had a beautiful and delicious breakfast. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as meat eaters. Great coffee, too. The owner was gracious and service was attentive.

The matcha latte I had was very watery and low quality. I ordered the vegan porridge and found it to be very tasteless. It did have lots of nuts and seeds which is great and the baked banana was a great addition. I felt it needed honey and they only had syrup (a health food café that didn't stock honey!? Weird). With the syrup, the porridge was very tasty. Everything was very beautifully presented but I was disappointed in the taste for the price point.
Ava R — Google review
Good service but poor vegan/vegetarian food. Actually quite ridiculous, the “ultimate vegan burger” was just a dry veggie patty between two buns. No sauces, no other vegetables. Had to ask for ketchup but couldn’t finish the meal either way. Huge fries, dry on the inside, and AGAIN- no sauces to eat with :(

A small market in Limerick with food trucks. We stopped on a Friday night for the food trucks. Had burgers from one and fried rice from another. Good food at a fair price. Couldn't post all the pics for some reason because Google kept saying it was restricted content.

Almost everything was really good. The service was good and the setting was nice. The food was really good and we enjoyed everything. The only thing that could be improved is the fries were called Hampton fries, but there was nothing special about them. The least that can be done is throw some herbs on them or something.

The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, perfect for anything from a casual coffee to a leisurely lunch. The food is consistently fresh and full of flavour, clearly made from top-quality ingredients and with real care in the kitchen. The restaurant is super cute, and food and service were fantastic! I’m a vegetarian and got the organic beans and toast with halloumi. I also had a dirty chai and both were excellent. Went to the Tequila Rooms pop-up in Coqbull for dinner with some family and honestly I'd give this pop-up a miss and just go into the regular restaurant. The nibbles are overpriced, they are just a starter portion amount and nothing can justify €9 for a single taco.... The food is nice, boneless wings were delicious but a portion was only 5 boneless wings for €10.50. Service was great, can't fault them there but I just felt the Tequila Room pop-up was just overpriced.

Amazing quality of service. All the servers in this building are some of the most accommodating, sweetest and quick servers ive had the pleasure of being served by. Now to start on the food, these burgers were some of the juiciest, most tender burgers ive ever had. The nashville chicken burger was astonishingly good I would recommend, the chicken was juicy and fell apart in my mouth, the breading on the chicken was seasoned to perfection, the perfect amount of hot honey sauce that complimented the chicken incredibly well- not too sweet and not too hot, perfect. Sensational. Would come back again. The dragonfruit diva is a drink I would recommend to ALL of you reading this. This cocktail was absolutely beautiful AND refreshing and as someone with a peach allergy, they had zero problems accommodating that for me. This restaurant has the perfect portions for their desserts too. The dirty cookie is the best thing ive ever put in my mouth to explain it plainly. The atmosphere was warm, cozy and perfect. With beautiful music playing at the perfect volume to speak over. Will 10000000% be coming back.

Service was great, food is not what I’m used to from CoqBull. Got the 1/2 roast chicken option for €21, which came with a frankly tiny amount of potato and stuffing and nothing else. Would be much less of an affront to the wallet if they could even add a couple of vegetables or some more potato - as it is, feels like a complete rip off.

Visited for lunch yesterday around 3pm while in Limerick city. Food is above average, service is not. The 10 euro lunch menu is good value in the current climate. The food came out quickly and was tasty however the service we received was not. Our food arrived after around 10 minutes of waiting but our drinks did not. We were sitting outside and trying to catch the attention of waitress outside proved impossible. When we eventually got her attention she nonchalantly said our drinks were on the way and returned to avoiding as many tables with customers as she could. It appeared as though we were inconveniencing her by asking this. Our drinks eventually arrived after around 30 minutes as I was finishing my food with no apology on the delay. I then asked the waitress who brought the drinks for some mayo which arrived five minutes later as I had four chips left on my plate. Not ideal We were not asked once if everything was OK with the meal or if we needed anything throughout our visit. Again, as I went up to pay there was no ask of how everything was. Not usually one to post bad reviews but this is the poorest service I have received while eating out. The restaurant was also not busy while we visited so there really was no excuse for the extremely poor service we received. Would not recommend to a friend

Me and my boyfriend ate here and I don’t think it’s worth all the money. I had the pasta arrabiata with chicken. I found a bone in my food, no waitress came over and asked how our food was so I couldn’t say. I visited for brunch on a late Tuesday morning. They weren’t very busy and the staff was very polished and friendly. I thought my server was a manager when she sat me because she was dressed so professionally. They have free WiFi and also brought a jug of water to the table. Their rose latte was yummy & delicately crafted. I would gladly return to try one of their other latte creations. For my entree, I went with “The SpitJack Classic:” honey-glazed ham, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce over sourdough bread. It was tasty but super filling! It was a struggle to finish the whole thing. I would gladly return to try one of their vegetarian brekkies or one of their sweet dishes.

This is a gem of a restaurant in Bedford Row Limerick, I have eaten in many of limerick city's restaurants and this has to be my favourite, the restaurant is lovely and bright, very clean and the seating in very comfortable, it's also nice to see a different type of menu than any other that is basically the same. the staff were very friendly, especially our waitress Kaylan who was great fun and had lots of chat for us, My wife and Kaylan clicked instantly. I had the roast chicken and my wife had The pulled chicken with puff pastry and the flavours didn't disappoint, I dont usually comment on wine even though I love wine, but I have to say their wine is top quality and not one of these supermarket wines with a twist top. I highly recommend trying Spit Jacks.

Beautiful location & entrance promises. However, seated downstairs in corner beside drinks storage. Not entirely what id imagined. Service solid. Had the classic, ham, eggs & hollandaise with bacon bits. It looked thrown tigetger tbh. Plenty of ham, but was bit dry & especially with bread it just sucked all the moisture from the meal. Bread wasnt buttered, maybe a rub of garlic..Eggs were solid, however hollandaise was limited & could've been bit more looser. Bscin bits tasty... all in all, Tasty enough, but balance all off. Would return though as other items looked good. Maybe just unfortunate...

3 out of 4 times I went here I was satisfied and delighted. Ambiance and food just leaves me wanting to go back again. The most delicious I could ask for, juicy, soft, balanced taste of everything. Salmon was rightly cooked with saffron rice and mussels and tempura... Everything was just perfect. The food was served in high end luxuries art... 100% recommended and will always come back whenever nearby...🤌🏻👌🏻😋🥰😍

Myself and 2 friends are traveling Ireland, found this gem via google reviews, it’s was a busy night as it is Father’s Day, but they were able to accommodate and find a table for three for us. The service was outstanding, food was delish and atmosphere was clean, warm and welcoming! The mango dingle drink was amazing and the T-Bone dinner was above our expectations! To the team at the silver spoon,Thank you for the accommodations and great food ! From Toronto

The Silver Room Restaurant: My friends and I had an amazing dinner at The Silver Room on Bishop St last night. The food was outstanding-fresh, local ingredients transformed into perfectly cooked fillet steaks and succulent prawns that left us all smiling. The presentation was gorgeous, almost too pretty to eat! The ambiance struck just the right balance of elegant and welcoming, making our night feel special. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The location in Newcastle West is unbeatable, so convenient and vibrant. We're already planning our next visit-highly recommend this spot for a fantastic dining experience!

The 3 girks who were serving were brilliant. We wete passing through Newcastle West and dropped in. The food too was superb and to say the plase is clean is a real undersratment! The barhrooms whilst super clean could do with better quality hand dryers or towells.

I had lunch here on a Saturday. The place was nice and quiet and relaxed. The tables setting is fab and spacious. The service was quick and the waitresses were friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely gorgeous, could not fault a thing. My friends also loved the food and commented on how delicious it was. It's also surprisingly affordable for such a fancy place. The menu has plenty of choice to suit everyone. I loved it and will definitely be back again.

Excellent menu with friendly staff. Went early (5:00 pm) so getting a table was easy. If you're looking to go later, especially at weekends, you will need to book well in advance as it is very popular. Highly recommended!

Great dining experience… The restaurant was suggested by the Barman at the Silver Dollar pub and it was an excellent choice. We were met, seated and served by the owner and co-owner who spent time chatting with us and making sure everything was to our satisfaction. All of the dishes and deserts that we had were excellent. We also tried some of the specialty drinks which were amazing. Try the brownie old fashioned. It’s to die for. I can’t say one negative thing about the restaurant. The price was very reasonable considering the atmosphere, service and food. Highly recommended.

This restaurant deserves 10 stars, 5 doesn't do it justice! Ate there yesterday evening (Saturday) with friends. Food was spectacular (we all had fish), very nice wine and superb dessert. Service impeccable all throughout the dinner, staff pitch perfect with great attention to details. Extremely pleasant experience altogether. Fine dining and elegant and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back, when visiting Newcastlewest!

The Milk Market, established in 1852, is a vibrant covered market in Limerick. Similar to the English Market in Cork, it offers an array of fresh produce, meats, dairy products, crafts, and baked goods. The market is housed under the largest fixed tent in Ireland and features a balcony with free seating for visitors to soak in the lively atmosphere. With a focus on organic and artisanal offerings, it showcases top-quality foods such as air-dried meats and fresh seafood.
Visited on a Saturday morning. Great buzz of friendly chatter and bustle of buying and selling. Good prices, great smells ... and lots of small dogs on leads.

The musician was really talented, super nice atmosphere. We came for a nice breakfast and to hear some live music, which was recommended on the website of the city. But the offer of food was not what we expected, for sure some little stores but nothing to get fed up.
Vincent V — Google review
Lovely market for fruit, veg, bread and baked goods. Very heavy on the bread, coffee & pastries though. Was hoping for maybe more hot food options but was still very enjoyable in beautiful courtyard which is mostly covered. Also good for gifts like soaps, jams and honey. Worth a visit for sure!
Trish D — Google review
Not much was doing at the Milk Market when we walked there on a rainy Friday noontime — though its website says that it opens at 11 A.M. on Friday. But we enjoyed strolling around, and had a very good cup of coffee and cinnamon roll at the Bread Shop, which is part of the market. The cinnamon roll was replete with cinnamon, as a good cinnamon roll should be, and the size was gargantuan. And as we sipped our coffee, a young woman with a group of friends sat down at the piano, and magic happened.

A wonderful experience. Not cheap but stunning dishes, excellent service, a room with amazing atmosphere and we were blessed with a beautiful evening in which to enjoy the grounds of the hotel. A truly memorable experience.
Francis N — Google review
We had a truly amazing evening at the Oak Room, enjoying the 6-course tasting menu for our 20th anniversary. The experience is seamless, from our initial greeting, to our servers for the evening to the chefs explaining their art. We had driven there so went for the non-alcoholic pairings, which were each careful thought-out, explained to perfection and utterly delicious with each course. So often these are a by-thought to the alcoholic options but not here, which showed their complete dedication to detail. The food was stunning. We are foodies and love visiting Michelin establishments and can honestly say this has been our best experience to date. The venue was equally amazing, you can see why this will be the venue for the 2027 Ryder Cup.

This is more than 5 stars. The cuisine, wine list, and service are at the absolute highest level. Our travel group had a tasting menu in a private room which was incredible. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Will be back. Bravo!!!
Mark L — Google review
Obviously, the place is lovely and the staff are top class. But considering the price, the food simply didn't cut it. The beetroot salad was great, and we savoured every taste of it. Same with the bread - high quality selection with tasty butter. Deserts were also great. But the mains themselves were fine but didn't stand out. At this price and standard we expect every dish to be a success, yet this wasn't the case here.
B M — Google review
Was lucky enough to dine here for my 50th birthday. We did the signature menu with wine pairing and WOW!! I have been to several Michelin restaurants and how this is a 1 * is beyond me, it deserves more!! We dined at a 2 * in Dublin earlier on this trip and this by far exceeded that restaurant. Best meal of our trip by far

Copper & Spice is a charming restaurant located in Limerick, housed in a beautifully restored mill with views of the Mulcair River. The interior boasts contemporary open-plan decor with bright orange frontage, polished wood floors, bare brick walls, and vibrant colors. The menu offers a delightful mix of Indian regional specialties and curry house standards, as well as dishes from Thailand and Japan. The restaurant provides a warm and inviting atmosphere with plush covered chairs and compact seating.
The food is tasty and above average. The ambience and service is what I loved the most. The portions are adequate enough. As an Indian I would go there for the vibes and service.
Dishank V — Google review
the place is located in Annacoty near the river. The food is very decent, as a group we ordered 4 different veg dishes out of bhindi curry and baigan bharta were very good. The paneer in matar paneer was little hard. Veg Massaman curry was good. Thai green curry was decent but not as spicy as expected. Lamb curry and methi chicken were good as well. The naans were very soft but the chapati were little hard but not that of a big problem. The staff was very supportive and took order very carefully and the support staff and waiters were very careful about cleanliness. The ambience was good as well. Prices are also very good and not very heavy to the pocket. Overall it was a good experience and I would like to come and eat again. Recommended.

Well - 3 stars. Service.... First of all - I'm alway taking it for take away. Food is great and worth returning for it. Place has nice atmosphere, and overall is looking nice. Parking spot could be a problem sometimes. Now service for take away. It happens 3 times to me right now. I'm usually ordering for first empty slot for collection, and it could be 2-3 hours later. So I tought I might order in the middlen of the day so I can pick collection slot whenever I like - drop in collect, after work and go home quickly. This is not working. After forst and second time it happens I was assured that it will be fixed, and there will be no delay next time - here we go - every single time when I have ordered this way I had to wait 15-20 minutes longer, even taking into consideration that I have ordered around 2-3 PM. Obviously other people are just picking their orders no problem on time. Ordering system has a flaw - as kitchen is not even attempting to make my order for desired collection time - when I show up they are preparing it then.... Hopefully next time I will have better experience.

Ahh,,,finally had a wonderful Indian food after a long time in limerick. I had a vegetarian thali here, which came with 1 tandoori roti, papad, jeera rice, raita, and the option to choose between sabzi/dal(any 3 of your choice), so I chose bhindi ki sbzi (my favorite), palak paneer, and dal without a doubt. It was excellent. The cost was 22 euros for this thali & I think it’s worth it. The location appears to be far from my home; otherwise, I would have preferred to have dinner here at least once a week.Lol,,of course if they give me some discount:P The employees, manager, and ambience is nice. Good for a casual dining experience. Go get yourself treated with a nice Indian food at copper and spice.😍 Thank you

The food here is very good and tastes almost like restaurants in India. But it looks a little expensive when compared to other indian restaurants. The ambience is good and the service is good. Located on the first floor with ample parking space outside.

Great food and amazing atmosphere! Randomly came across this place on our way to Kerry. Worth a detour if you’re looking for authentic Indian food. The plus is, the chicken and lamb are halal. ❤️

Definitely not authentic Indian food – unfortunately the worst I’ve ever tasted. We didn’t touch our mains and only managed to eat the naan and poppadoms. On top of that, it was way overpriced – at least €30 more than any other Indian restaurant iv been too. Would highly recommend avoiding this place.

Delicious seafood, and the owners could not be nicer! I sat at a nice table near the counter and Brian greeted everyone who came in by name - it’s just that kind of place! Adored the atmosphere, loved the hake I ate, and felt like I was in a tiny town’s cafe rather than a city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves good food, and local business!

Brian went out of his way to make us feel welcome - even providing some travel tips for our road trip that day. (We didn’t make Dingle, but the ferry ride to Kerry was a highlight of the day!). After a delicious lunch of perfectly cooked fish, we were ready for a full day of driving and exploring. A second THANK YOU to Brian for not allowing us to leave without the scratch made rhubarb pie! Known for their rich hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, it's a perfect treat while enjoying the view of Shannon River from their terrace.
Absolutely wonderful. Fantastic atmosphere, we ate downstairs where you can order seafood and meat. Pretty sure they were playing lo-fi hip-hop for the music (my husband and I listen to it and definitely heard some of the songs previously, very relaxing) and the food was delicious. The steak is where it's at, the oysters were pretty salty which I am not used to so I couldn't finish them. Desert was great, he had the the pudding and I had the brulee. Loved it.
Amelia K — Google review
They're working hard to deliver fine dining in Limerick. Pictured are the Mussels and Clams Meuniere, Halibut on Risotto, and the Filet of Salmon. The seafood is fresh, tasty and attentively cooked. Only slight complaint would be that things were uniformly much saltier than my preference. They claim their bottles of wine are priced at retail shop prices, and while this isn't true (there is most definitely a restaurant markup), the prices are reasonable and the selection is appropriately wide. Downstairs lounge is nicely laid out, live music on a Saturday night. The red velvet theme is a bit over the top but the service is warm and friendly. It's definitely pricey, particularly for Limerick, but a nice option for special occasions.

First time trying H&L and it was beautiful. Went for a breakfast with my wife and Can't fault anything in regard to service and the food. We didn't even have a lunch or dinner that day we were so full from the breakfast. Only downfall was price, it was just the 2 of us and cost €50. Crazy for a breakfast but considering it filled us for the day you can understand why.

The food was generous and very tasty, which we really appreciated. However, they only had the Christmas menu available, and €15 for a full Irish breakfast without coffee felt a bit overpriced. Additionally, it was disappointing that there was no kids’ menu available, making it a bit tricky for families. Overall, good food but room for improvement on value and family options.”

Had called ahead to see if they could cater for gluten free. They said yes no problem. They also confirmed they had gluten free bread. I asked for the chicken ceaser wrap but instead of the wrap to put it on gluten free bread. They refused as (in their words) 'this would confuse the chef'...

This was the eggs, tomato(es) (note the plural vs the half a tomato actually served), and a single rasher. I’m coeliac so instead of decent bread which I could see on ‘normal’ plates, I got one single slice of tiny gluten free bread, from what I identify as probably the cheapest brand on the market. Absolute waste of time going here if you’re hungry. Service was great, a nice building and atmosphere too

We stopped here for a coffee and snack today and it looked like a nice place. Unfortunately there was no indoor seating due to the current situation with Covid 19. There was however nice seating outside. We ordered a coffee each and a treat. I had a rhubarb pie while my other half an apple crumble. It was pricey enough at 14 Euros in total. When our order arrived the lady had given us an apple pie and not the crumble that was ordered. We had even ordered and pointed to the crumble, which was sitting on the counter. Eitherway we didn't complain or mention we had ordered otherwise, no biggie. Coffee was fine, desert was good too. I didn't like the big blob of cream it came with but that's personal preference I guess, others may love it! I would have liked my pie heated but again that's just personal preference! Overall a good place in central Limerick. I can't comment on the food options other than the desert.

Got cottage pie but the interior was cold. A bit expensive (~12 euro) for that experience. It was also very watery although I am unsure if that's supposed to be the case (I am not local). I liked the coleslaw and the beets so I did not leave hungry. But the cottage pie made me a bit sad.

Dasco Deli, a Filipino restaurant located in Limerick, Ireland, is known for its delectable food offerings. Visitors intentionally make the drive to Limerick just to savor the flavors of their cuisine. Some popular dishes include Tapa and Bihon Guisado (stir-fried noodles), which are both highly recommended. The menu also features an array of other options such as Irish breakfast, sandwiches, and various meals.
Great to have a Filipino restaurant in Limerick! My husband and I were invited by friends, and it was our first time visiting Dasco on a Twilight Thursday—we really enjoyed the experience. The Pinoy Bowl was tasty and comforting, and the tocilog and tapsilog were flavorful, just like home. The mini Filipino grocery inside is such a nice touch for anyone missing essentials from back home. To top it all off, the yema cake was superb. Highly recommend for anyone looking for Filipino food and a warm atmosphere in Limerick.

Visited this café on a Monday morning around 10:30 with a friend, and it was already very busy. By the time we left, there was a line outside, so it’s clearly a popular spot! Service was quick and efficient, but it didn’t feel like a place where you could sit and chat for long. I ordered the French toast, which was good—one slice served with crispy streaky bacon, a small portion of fruit, and syrup on the side. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for a quick and tasty bite, but maybe not the best for a leisurely catch-up. I'll be back to try lunch.
Karen M — Google review
Ordered the chicken sandwich which sounded great but was the definition of underwhelming. Very little filling with no seasoning and little flavour. It was busy to be fair but still a waste of money considering you’d get a far better sandwich in a newsagents deli. Service was excellent though!

Very relaxed and warm place. Great food and staff. Not rushing you out the door.
Alan D — Google review
A good place to chill, it has outside as well as inside sittings. It serves breakfast all day and lunch after 12 noon. Avacado toast is very tasty and filling. It has normal coffee shop rates for coffee as well. Recommended place to visit just to chill and have a coffee siting outiside

The scone was INCREDIBLE. Will make an effort to get another whenever I visit next. Wasn’t sure impressed by the latte, would add a shot of espresso to make the flavor stronger.

Nestled within the Main Building of the University of Limerick, Eden Restaurant is a vibrant dining spot that caters to students with its diverse menu and affordable prices. This bustling eatery features daily specials, made-to-order sandwiches, and an exciting live action station where fresh ingredients are transformed into delicious meals right before your eyes. With options ranging from hearty salads to ready-made meals and tempting desserts, there's something for everyone.
It is in my opinion one of the best places to eat at UL if you are a student. The prices are reasonable and it's one of the cheapest on campus. There is a wide range of food options such as sandwiches, wraps, salads ready meals and deserts. It closes a little early and doesn't open in the weekends and can be quite loud during lunch time. Despite this it's still a very recommendable place.
Liana A — Google review
Just had the soup (hot and tasty with croutons) so can't comment on the food much. It's good for what it does - feeding a lot of students and staff on an efficient way. Queue to pay was a s bit long but the nice lady got through us all reasonable quickly. Recommended
Brian K — Google review
Food's ok, decent range. However they tend to be inflexible in regards costing of items and if ordering the student special expect a very meagre portion. Tables are generally dirty.
Matthew M — Google review
Have been here on three occasions, and unfortunately have had bad experiences on all of them. Overall the food has been bland, especially the vegetarian meal I tried. On the second visit the steak was too soft and felt like me after a tough Monday - worn and tired. Ordered a hot chicken roll on my last trip there, I received burned chicken that was so dry and forlorn I could use it to make instrumentals with the table. That was the last straw. Won't be visiting here again. Also the meals here are small and don't match their price.
Alabi — Google review
Tasty food and good portions. Nice and friendly staff. They accept both cash and card. It might be busy during lunch times which makes it not easy to find a table.
REENU M — Google review
Variety of food available including a salad bar. Student special meals at discounted price and a Chinese cuisine too - noodles. Although a strange smell near the Chinese counter puts me off to try it.
Utkarsh D — Google review
The food served is really good but they could work on the wraps. The wraps weren't that nice. Nonetheless, it's a great place of you're looking to get a quick bite or something.
Mayank S — Google review
I used to call this place cheap and cheerful until it was updated over a year ago, it is still good value with a different choice of meals daily. Salad meal 3.45, student special 4.45, vegetarian 5.25, carvery 7.50 with a range of choices inbetween.

The 4-star hotel has received excellent ratings from guests who appreciate its stylish accommodation with modern decor, 49-inch plasma TVs, and spacious rain showers.
Lucky to have gotten an upgrade on the room which was great! Decided to add the flat fee offered for breakfast and dinner and the food was outstanding in taste! portions are huge of course so hard to get through a 3 course meal but if you are in the area go there for a meal! Located on the river so it’s picturesque too!

During our two weeks in Ireland from Canada this is our favorite hotel. Right from our check in with Molly, the lovely front desk staff, to a delicious breakfast at Harry’s restaurant, we enjoyed every moment of our stay. The rooms are spacious and clean and very comfortable. Espresso machine in the room and bottled water provided were nice touches. The location is very close to tourist sites and the hotel had lots of free parking. Highly recommend Absolute in Limerick!

We celebrated our wedding at the Absolute Hotel this past Saturday, and it was simply spectacular. From the very first moment, the entire team exceeded our expectations. Our event organizer was an absolute star , attentive, professional, and truly wonderful to work with. The managers, reception staff, and servers all went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and spotless, making it a perfect stay not only for us but also for our guests. Special mention must go to the chef: the food was outstanding, plentiful, and absolutely delicious, people are still talking about it! The celebration itself was full of energy and joy, thanks to the flawless organization and welcoming atmosphere. We could not have chosen a better venue for our special day. The Absolute Hotel made our wedding unforgettable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect place in Limerick.

So I chose this place, and my girlfriend booked it for my birthday. I drove two hours with my partner to the location and safe to say it was a good hotel in Limerick to go to. Reception: The staff are nice, respectful and professional. They expect you to be the same as well. It was also my birthday and they even prepared a birthday card and a jar for me as well since my girlfriend asked and they delivered. Hotel room: It’s really nice and pleasing. The bed is soft and the room service was really good, there’s also air conditioning as well which is easy to use as well. Breakfast: if you got the breakfast, the food is decent and for the cost for a buffet I would recommend it to get your routine or morning started. Overall, I have no complaints. The hotel has a carpark, easy to access to different places when you’re going outside such as bars, shops and pretty safe environment in the night. For the price, It was a really good price to be honest. I have no complaints or anything really. I definitely recommend and shout-out to the staff that went out their way to help a guy turn 25 for his birthday, appreciate that.

We enjoyed our stay of four days at the Absolute. It's clean, conveniently located near the major sights of Limerick's old city, and well-staffed with friendly, courteous, and helpful employees. My one down vote would be due to the noise level. Our room overlooked a well-trafficked road — the window of our room almost opened right to the road — and the noise of cars passing was more than a little disturbing. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the Absolute as a place to stay if you're in Limerick.
William L — Google review
The staff was so friendly and helpful. They found out it was our first time to Ireland and upgraded our room for free. Hospitality in Ireland has not disappointed.
Jennifer H — Google review
The ONLY bad thing about this place is the parking. They have over a hundred rooms but only 20 or less spots. You have to pay (13euro/night) to park across the street in a tight garage. Very unfamiliar to an American because hotels validate parking if they don’t have their own, but it’s also uncomfortable leaving your rental car in a right garage across the street. Technically you can park in their hotel garage which is very tight so if you have to make U-turn in there and you’re not a very good driver then it might make you anxious. Anyway their garage is full by about 7pm. So if you plan on going anywhere and not having to cut your day early, then you’ll have to pay and walk across the street. If you can get past the parking situation the staff here are extremely friendly. Nicole at the front desk even gave us good recommendations to visit. The rooms are neat and attended daily. They have espresso machines in them. The view is wonderful from the room overlooking the river, the bathroom is very nice and spacious. Overall would I recommend to stay here? Yes I would.

First of all the staff in here are so friendly and very accommodating. Dropped the star due to the very loud music could barely hear conversation. It’s not a night club it’s a wine bar would prefer music volumn to be lowered. We got the cheese board which was nice but had to ask for more crackers as didn’t get enough for the cheese and was charged for extra crackers. Overall it is a fab wine bar staff are lovely and nice set up just lower music volumn please. Will def go back again

We were just here for some wine and food, but it turned out that they aren't serving any food until 5pm. I stopped in for a couple pints because I have a hard time saying no to a brewery I haven't been to before. The beers were excellent, especially the grisette. The building itself was very cool looking with the tanks behind the bar and there was nice outdoor seating. The bartender was incredibly nice and knowledgeable genuinely seemed interested in talking to me, not just humoring a tourist. This is a definite stop every time I visit Ireland going forward.

This is number 1 patisserie and bakery in limerick, no doubt!! This place offers great quality, beauty and art in a form of little pastry. Robert G — Google review
Food was like devastating, dissatisfying and disappointing. I ordered the chicken fajitas wrap and all I got was a wet oily wrap with dry chicken that I wouldn’t feed to the dog not only was the wrap awful my friend ordered a pizza called the spicy chicken and sausage that was supposed to come with Jalapeños but instead came with gherkins. They had one worker, working chef and cashier and the ketchup was impossible to open. I am highly disappointed with this establishment and wouldn’t recommend getting food here but if you want the worse food in limerick come here and you can wait 30 minutes in a queue to order.
Jake O — Google review
Very poor, the bread in the prepackaged sandwiches is poor quality. The soup is salty and the brown bread was out of the freezer. Some nice simple toasted sandwiches would have been appreciated and it’s hard to go wrong with them. Staff at the bar were lovely.
Marian — Google review
Food was revolting I order a pizza with jalapeños and It came with gherkins I would be better off going behind the counter and cooking my own pizza.I eaten in bad restaurants before but this one has to be on the top of my list.If you want to get the worst food in the world go to the terrace by ul. The only thing that taste nice was there water.

The Locke Bar is a well-established gastropub located in the heart of Limerick City's Medieval Quarter, where the Abbey River meets the Shannon. The pub boasts a charming interior with wood paneling and open fires, creating a cozy atmosphere for visitors. Additionally, it offers riverside outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy their drinks and meals while taking in scenic views. Guests can expect high-quality food and good prices at The Locke Bar.
Best fish and chips in ages! Light and crispy batter, not great greasy all. My friend really enjoyed her steak and ale pie as well. Very filling. Our server Taylor was great, very friendly and helped us get a taxi.

This is a great spot to go for a local taste of Limerick. You can tell it's been around for a while and it's not too far from King John's Castle. We stopped in to get a small bite and found a cozy table inside. It's very pub-like but family friendly. The service was friendly and helped us to order since we were a little undecided. We ended up getting the Burata di Bufala, seafood chowder, and some chicken wings. Everything was about what you'd expect from a Sunday lunch menu at a pub. It didn't blow us away but it hit the spot and we got to soak in the Limerick atmosphere while we ate. I wish we could have come back in the evening to experience the more night-life version of this place because it seems very cool! Maybe we'll plan to do that next time we're in town. Sláinte!

This is great pub if you're looking for a taste of Ireland and Limerick! The food here is great. We had it recommended by a local in the street that we asked about great places to eat. Fish and chips and the Lamb roast was to die for. The potatoes were crunchy perfect! Great whiskey which is a product of the bar. Very easy drinking. Good atmosphere and really friendly attentive staff. Highly recommended.

The Locke Bar has plenty of seating both inside and outside. If you want to sit indoors with a view of the Irish dancing, I highly recommend making a reservation several days in advance, as they don’t accept bookings within 24 hours. They offer plenty of Irish beer on tap, which pairs perfectly with their dishes. I ordered the fish and chips, which came out hot, crunchy, and fresh. It was served with something green — I thought it was mashed avocado, but it turned out to be mashed green peas, which was surprisingly good. The people were pleasant and welcoming, though the service was a bit slow. Prices are on the higher side.

Had a great meal at the Locke Bar last night. Servings are plentiful, I had the steak and ale pie. It was delicious. My partner had the special fish. It was cod with a spicy sauce, a salad and roast potatoes. Really flavoursome. Great selection of drinks, all the beers you could want. The atmosphere was excellent. Irish music and dancing. Good tip if you want to eat on a Saturday evening, go fairly early or make a booking. By 8 o’clock, the place is bulging.

We really enjoyed the hour we spent today on a wet, gray mid-September afternoon having a cuppa and a ham sandwich at the outside tables of Locke Bar. The tea was just as tea should be — strong enough to trot a mouse across it, as the Irish used to day. And the sandwiches were well-made and generous. In addition, the young woman who greeted us inside at the bar and took our order couldn't have been nicer, and the woman who brought our tea and sandwiches to us was equally cordial and smiling. The interior of Locke Bar is classic pub, dark, lots of beautiful woodwork, gleaming spigots for dispensing Guiness and other beers. Altogether a first-rate pub in the heart of Limerick's old city.
William L — Google review
Wonderful pub with live Irish music and dancing. We went there for lunch (which was great) and then went back in the evening for the music. I had the Beef & Ale Stew and my wife had the Chicken Pithivier (this pot pie). Both were very good! The service was friendly, but uneven. Definitely recommend.
David S — Google review
I stopped in for an early dinner and it was already busy. If you choose to sit outside, you have to tell the hostess which table you’re at so they know where to send the food. Inside though, a server comes to your table. I got a table inside and enjoyed the live music. The cocktails were pricy, so I went with an IPA. The fish and chips were fantastic. The breading was perfect, the dipping sauce was the best tartar I’ve ever had, and even the mushy peas were the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely come here again for dinner, or late night beers with a group. A beer and fish & chips cost $31/£22.85/€26.54

Bobby Byrne is a traditional Irish Pub the atmosphere reflects that.bwe went for appetizers and they did not disappoint. The prawns were fantastic and the calamari were very good too. The Irish Coffee was a perfect end for the dinner

As a foodie and a pub connoisseurs I would rate Bobby Byrnes as the finest Irish Style Gastropub in Ireland. The ambience, cleanliness, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The portion sizes were generous I mean very generous, no half measures!!!. The food was delicious. The interior decorating fine details to the pub , the lighting, vibes , lads tis a show stellar. Thank you for the hospitality and nice service. Highly recommend!!!!

Popped in here for a quick mid-morning coffee and to check out the new café. It is a fine space and the staff are attentive BUT it is very expensive at €15.20 for 2 Americanos and 1 piece of cake. Prices are not shown at the counter. The decor is nice but there are TVs everywhere which spoil the café ambiance. Disappointed so very unlikely that we'll be back.

The Olive Tree Restaurant in Limerick offers a warm and lively atmosphere with a focus on classic European-style dishes, particularly seafood, presented with a modern twist. The staff is friendly and attentive, even during busy times. Guests can enjoy generous portions of delicious food, such as mixed bruschetta and authentic pasta dishes. The restaurant also provides the option to dine outside, making it pet-friendly.
We had a date night at Olive Tree and I wish we dined there sooner! Highly recommended! Great ambience and amazing service, the staff was very friendly and jovial. The food and drinks were delicious. We started off with a lovely Reisling which I'd highly recommend if you are looking for a delicate and fresh wine. I got the Mushroom Risotto and my husband got the Carbonara, we also got a starter plate of fish and chips to share. For dessert, we got the Flan and the Tiramisu Martini.

Small menu with limited options to choose from, I had the croquettes to start and the lasagne. My colleague had the pulled chicken and chips. Food was very good and quite tasty. Restaurant was busy but service was frequent and timely.

No doubt the best restaurant in Limerick. We had an amazing anniversary here. I highly recommend the sea bass and the wild mushroom risotto. Staff is lovely and very helpful. My hubby had the Ratatouille moment (if you know you know!) when he tasted the fish. 10 out of 10!
KP G — Google review
We made reservations for an anniversary dinner and had a lovely, quiet table in a corner by the window. We loved the decor, it seems higher end aesthetic wise. The service was great. We had 3 different servers who were all attentive and friendly and professional. Food was great, somewhat Greek or middle eastern ish. A nice appetizer of hummus , baba ganoush with freshly made pitas. Wine was lovely as were the stemware, it makes a big difference. Dinner was pork belly and seafood risotto, both excellent 👌 They even offered us a little treat of corn on a stick with a nice spice on them. A+++ 5 star. Oh yes and the restrooms were very clean, always a good sign. Loved it.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! Last night we had the tasting menu for the Flavours of Limerick culinary event, and it was just fantastic. Each course was designed to have a Limerick Latin twist which was the theme of the night. The wines were expertly paired with each course and there was and explanation of this as you recorded each glass. The chef also came to explain the components of each dish which was a highlight of the evening. Our favourite dish was the first course. Every element of the taco was bursting with flavour. But there has to be a mention for the ribeye which was cooked (medium rare) to perfection. We forgot to take a picture of desert as we dived in once it was explained to us. The atmosphere was buzzing with all tables full and the DJ setting the scene. The music was never too loud but was a great addition. The whole experience was excellent value at €60 pp. If this was on every month I would come.

First time at Olive tree this evening Amazimg atmosphere, food and cocktails. Gary and the rest of the staff were superb. Make sure you book a table at this place. You will not be disappointed. ps. The corn bread is unreal
Paul M — Google review
The food was decent, though I expected a bit more seasoning and stronger flavors. We were seated very close to other couples even though the place was mostly empty, which took away from the atmosphere. Also, €4.90 for a 1L bottle of water felt a little steep. Overall, an okay experience but not outstanding.

Marco Polo is a stylish restaurant with opulent dining space adorned in gold accents and elegant curved banquettes. The global bar menu offers set-price deals, featuring exceptional dishes such as vegetable spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken known for its tender meat and delectable sauce. The cosmopolitan vibe of the restaurant is enhanced by mural artwork and cool feline robot servers, adding to the unique dining experience. Guests can also enjoy flavorful options like roasted cauliflower, noodles packed with taste, and tender steak.
Great spot, all the food was excellent. Kids eat for free on a Sunday too which is brilliant. We had the calamari, ribs, Chinese curry and Singapore noodles, all excellent. Good choice on the kids menu, even had a kids smash burger. The robot server that brings the food is cool too 😂 staff were very nice and left you be. Also, the food came really quickly and it was pretty busy there. Couldn't fault the place, booking was easy too. Rang the day before and had an instant confirmation text on my phone.

I don’t recommend getting “sharing platter” for started, the amount and quality of food is ridiculous for the price of 28 euro. The mains were great though, lovely food, except the fact that you have to order side like potato or chips separately. Service is average, overall experience is average I’d say, nothing really stands out about this place.

Lovey venue. Nice cocktail menu and selection of food. Unfortunately the sweet and sour rice was dry. Rice was tough to eat. Lovely chicken skewers starter and desert. Service very poor unfortunately. Staff do not look after their customers. We were left waiting long times for a desert menu despite a waiter walking past a couple of times

We went to Marco Polo on the 16th of September for my daughter's 10th birthday and had a fantastic experience. The food was lovely and the staff very helpful. We were served by the adorable Bellabot cat robot (which was the highlight of the evening for my daughter). At the time of the booking, I mentioned that we were booking for a birthday, and when desert was served, Bella brought my daughter's desert with a candle and sang her happy birthday. It was a lovely touch and everyone in the restaurant joined in and sang as well. It made her birthday very special. Thank you for this special touch!

Had a gorgeous meal in Marco Polo last Sunday. We were greeted at the counter, made feel very welcome, brought to our table and given our menus. The staff were really lovely and professional. I queried an ingredient in my fajitas dish and the chef sent out a little of it to smell/taste which was a nice touch. Will be back when next in Limerick and would recommend it.

Loved the meals we had. Less vegetarian options but overall really good. Amazing quantity.. was full and still had to pack for home!! Flavours were on point!! Yellow curry and Cashewnut Chicken Stir fry😍😍! Also even without the express lunch menu the prices are not very high if you want a-la-carte..Would definitely come back when there are more veg options.

Lunch value is incredible here: for 10 euros only you get a very well cooked and flavorful main dish with ice cream afterwards. There’s choice for curries, soups, rice or noodle dishes. It comes with lots of meat and veggies and flavors are on point. I took a green curry, wife took a rice noodle soup. We shared vegetable samosas as a starter. For dessert, I took the caramel ice cream and wife took the coconut one. We were both super happy with our selection, service was fast and friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend in Limerick if you want to take a break from fish and chips.

What a nice little place. Welcomed with a warm smile and seated right away. My Yellow Vegetable Curry and hot tea arrived quickly and steaming hot!! I really enjoyed my dinner and will definitely be back here again!

My wife ordered the prawn and grab meat fried rice. It was good, but the portion was not as large as I expected and there was no noticeable crab meat in it. My daughter ordered tom kah kai which has a very strong lime flavour, she couldn't finish it because of the taste. If you really like lime then this is for you. I had the fer pho bo kar and I liked it it. The portion was generous and it was what I expected. It was a just spicy enough to heat your throat but not over powering. Our server was not friendly at all, she made me feel unwelcome in their establishment, as if she would prefer we hadn't come in to eat. I would eat here again, the table next to us had some interesting food that smelled and looked really good. I don't expect to like everything on the menu, I do expect excellent customer service.
R G — Google review
Fast delivery and their foods are tasty! (Yellow fish curry and Green curry) A big portion, I couldn't finish it. (In the photos, they are only the half or just a bit more of the portion)
Sojeong L — Google review
I ordered pad thai and chicken winglet. Could have been 5 star but the seafood pad thai was nowhere near the taste of the authentic one. Probably they have to cater the irish taste buds, the aroma isn’t there, no chilli on the side, sweetness was missing and too much salt but still the portion was big enough. The fried chicken wing was good though, love it.

One of our monthly visits to someplace new for lunch and it was very much an enjoyable experience! Me wife wants to come back more often, and the sis (who suggested it) was totally psyched her suggestion was a hit! The service was great and the food (in large quantities) was delicious! 🍺tj
