Actually the food was very nice... we had just seafood. Especially the swordfish was tender then never tasted before, and the baby octopus tender. The service was fast and very friendly... if just not the owner or boss of this place wouldn't have come. Loud and annoying complaints about this and that, permanent shouting at the stuff until he and his spoiled daughter left with their dinner again. Then the nice evening could continue... thanks to a very professional crew!

Lovely location over looking the harbour the past two years we enjoyed good food and good service however this year with added new staff we found good food but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress was rude but changed had her tune when we decided to leave!! Be prepared for good food but not necessarily good service.
We celebrated the 70th birthday of a friend here while cruising on a canal boat. Our hostess (who could speak 5 languages was wonderful!!! The food was wonderful only enhanced by the ambiance and people who work there.

We took the bateau bus from Sète to Mèze and had lunch. What a wonderful day! The waiters were very busy that day. It was sunny and beautiful and the restaurant was full. Lunch was excellent and the atmosphere couldn't be better!

2 weeks ago my 2 daughters and i had dinner there, the staff was super nice and friendly.

Excellent!! Tomahawk de veau (veal) and demi-cuit de thon (tuna), both cooked to perfection, accompanied by equally delicious veggies! Excellent service complemented a great experience with the chef's expertise products.

The prawns made me very ill overnight and the next morning. I had to catch a flight home in the afternoon and it was touch and go! It still took me another day to fully recover. If I ever end up back there it will be just a burger or pizza!

Very cozy and beautiful place. Great service. The food was fine but not super impressive. The Carpaccio de St Jacque and tartar de la mer aux lentille were very good. The parenting de Bouguinon de boeuf was basically pulled beef with mashed potatoes - nothing special. Fish was very good.

L'Eau Sel is located just away from the harbour of Meze. Being slightly away from the town cente, they have to work a bit harder than other restaurants to attract diners. They do, but I'm not sure if their efforts are always well-directed.
My main course was tuna with foie gras. [Cue Joey Tribbiani voice:] "Tuna: good! Foie gras: GOOD!"
Yes, they're both good, but I'm not convinced they belong together. It's more of a dish for millionaires: just put some expensive ingredients on a plate together without thinking whether they go well with eachother.
There were similar examples, but all in all: the dishes were of good quality, the service was attentive and the prices reasonable. It is certainly worth venturing away from the harbour to pay a visit to L'Eau Sel.

Large choice of fresh meals including large pieces of meat/fish. All of them were nicely cooked and truly tasty. I recommend going there if you want to enjoy a good time with your lover and/or family.

Great product cooked properly. We went for the classic and little intervention dishes by which I mean, grilled and a sauce. Or grilled and no sauce. I reckon what they do with their daily menu might be good, but I see no reason to eat a passion fruit fish ceviche, when the fish by itself with a bit of olive oil will do.
A lovely spot in the marina. The Breem was cooked excellently but could have done with a sauce. Mussels starter was lovely though and I enjoyed the alcoholic ice cream dessert. Staff were friendly and patient with our lack of French language.

Got there Sunday night when most places closed. Had a lovely chat with a customer and the waiter with his fascinating Japanese tattoos. We had red tuna, duck breast. Perfectly cooked vegetables na glass of wine each. And THE most delicious special of the night nougat ice cream. Was hard to pick that from all the desserts. Friendly Chatty people and service. And they took care of a local ensuring he didn’t get another drink as he was a little over the limit and they were looking out for him as he was driving.

Some friends from camping recommended Chez Titou and it was very nice. We decided to sit inside with A/C instead of the terrasse, because it was hot and the street is just passing by. The owners are kind and attentative, we had moules frites for the kids as a menu, oyers and moules frites and a big mixed plate and a mussel cake. Though we liked La vitrine de marine in Bouzigues better, it was really nice. The mussel cakes entree were not great, but the rest was super. I recommend to take the middle sized oysters, they were much tastier than the big ones. Also the café gourmand with little dessert tasters was great.

Went back because the welcome and service was very good for our family (2x adults and 4x children <8 years old) Food was good and the waiting staff dealt well with us and our children ( all Irish and with very little French) I would recommend La Garriguette for a casual and relatively inexpensive meal. La Mezon is a wonderful restaurant. My wife and I always find it comforting and look forward to visiting here. The welcome is warm, the service is exceptional, the atmosphere is cosy and relaxing, and the food is perfect. It was dreadful. When we raised the issues with the server, he clearly took it personally and got angry. I’m sure the staff will be delighted to hear that we won’t be back.
As a group of 11 this place was the only place happy to accommodate (4 under 6 years old). All the food was delicious and more importantly freshly made, nothing seemed to be shop bought and will definitely be returning if we are in the area again!

Lovely family restaurant with delicious food cooked over wood. Delightful service.
Avoid this place at all costs. The staff, especially the middle-aged lady, is blatantly racist.
While taking our order, she walked away mid-conversation to help other customers and completely ignored us for nearly 10 minutes.
Despite making eye contact several times, she refused to come back, so we eventually left. If you're not French, don't even bother going here—you won't be treated with respect. This was an incredibly rude and upsetting experience.
I hope someone sees this and addresses her behavior because she’s giving a terrible impression of how people are treated in France.
My wife and I always love visiting this cosy restaurant when we are in Meze. Eric the boss is welcoming and he is ably supported by Pauline, Elizabeth and Vincent. The atmosphere is relaxing, with a great choice of food. Thanks, too, to Dario in the kitchen, who has a real talent as a chef.

Cycling along the Etang de Thau we selected this restaurant for lunch, mainly based on its location directly on the pittoresque harbour and its positive googles reviews, and we weren't disappointed.
Welcome was friendly and we were immediately seated in the pergola section of the restaurant.
From the extensive menu we selected the menu of Euro 19 and the menu of Euro 29, both three courses and great value for money.
We really enjoyed the Fruits de mer plateau (mussels, oysters and bulots), pate de campagne, seafood pasta, espadon steak, cheese selection and creme brulee, all further enhanced with a beautiful white wine called "Picpoul"
Definitely a venue we will return to and highly recommended to those after a great culinary experience at great value for money

It’s off season now. We ate here on a Monday night in February. We had the Plateau Royal for two. It was delicious. The mayonnaise had garlic in it because it’s the South of France. The waitress was on her own and did a great job. The view out of the restaurant is very beautiful.

Sometimes you think: the food bad, but just let it go. But when the food is so bad that the magret de canard arrives cut in pieces so dry that you even cannot cut it…you ask the waitress to return it and bring another one. Something phenomenal happens: you get the same magret back; burned and drier.
Let’s not talk about the entrees.
Advise: do not think if local people are having a drink there, the food is good. Trust the internet.

We had a wander around the lakeside town of Meze and stopped for a drink at Brasserie La Plage. The staff were friendly and the location overlooking the lake was lovely.
We then had a meal in the restaurant - clam linguini and chicken burger & chips - both were well presented and tasty. The local rosé wine was nice too!
Friendly fast service right on the beach - we visited every day during our holiday, an excellent team we will definitely come back.
This was one of our favourite spots to have a beer at the end of the day.
Sadly we didn't get a chance to dine there but the food always looked good and we never ever heard any complaints.
There's a generous outdoor seating area which looks out over the beach and the water and it's just great to sit there and relax.
They frequently put on bands and some of the music was really entertaining.

Went to le Rendez Vous for Sunday lunch for my father's birthday and arrived during what was a very busy time. As a result service was slow, disorganised and when my mother, who's in her 70's, asked why our desserts were taking so long she was told fairly rudely that "in life you have to be patient". We were also overcharged 12 euros for 2 bottles of mineral water we didn't order. Food was decent value for money but didn't always arrive hot. Overall experience was affected by poor quality of service and lack of attention. Based on this experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

**Extremely Disappointing Service**
We were extremely disappointed by the service at this restaurant. We stopped in Mèze during our lovely holiday in Sète because our children, aged 5 and 4, wanted pizza on our way back to the UK. However, the experience during our brief hour-long visit was far from pleasant.
The staff became passive-aggressive as soon as they realized we were only ordering food for our kids. Even after placing our order, a waiter returned to ask if we adults were planning to order any food. We informed him that we would only be having drinks while our children ate. In response, the waiter rolled his eyes and sighed. For the rest of our time there, we were made to feel unwelcome simply because we only ordered food for our children. Every request we made was met with huffs, puffs, or eye-rolling from the staff.
To make matters worse, we were charged an additional 10 euros just for asking for two empty plates so our kids could share their adult-sized pizza.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable and left a sour taste on our visit to Mèze. I would not recommend this restaurant to families or anyone who expects respectful and hospitable service.
