My husband and I went to dinner and it really made our day! The food and service was absolutely amazing! Thank you for having us! We arrived quite late but got a warm welcome, can’t recommend enough!!

We come here every year when we stay in the area and it’s always fantastic. Amazing food, friendly welcome and caters so well for children also. Would highly recommend.

High-quality tasty offerings, artfully presented, will definitely re visit! Maybe the dining lighting was a small bit bright, but that's being very picky
Olwen S — Google review
I did not have the pleasure to stay at their hotel but I had a fantastic apéritif and diner time at their restaurant. Restaurant menu is not big but extremely well prepared and good for value. I heard that they change their menu every week. One should not miss this place in Souillac.
Medaka S — Google review
Lovely, bright and clean room, AMAZING food in the hotel restaurant and the owners were incredibly lovely and very helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough, such a lovely town too! Merci :)
Laura W — Google review
We went to the restaurant for dinner and had the menu éphémère which was great value and high quality. The staff were attentive and friendly and the whole evening was delightful. I would whole heartdly recommend a visit.
Chris H — Google review
Very nice lodging overall. We stayed in the Hotel de Quercy next door, which is managed jointly with La Vielle Auberge. The staff are all very nice and attentive, the pool is lovely, and the rooms are comfortable, though some are smaller than others and the rooms facing the pool are quieter and nicer. The restaurant is very good... We were demi-pension guests, so the menu was limited but there were enough choices and the food was really quite good. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Souillac.
Ahrash B — Google review
Very friendly staff and great restaurant which makes it very convenient for travelers arriving later in the evening. It seems everything closes early in smaller towns in the south of France so this saves you from starving. I rated La Vieille Auberge 4 stars because there was some funky smell in the lobby cafe area. Maybe they had some flooding issues before and this is just the lasting result of that.

Le Grand Hôtel offers modest rooms arranged around an atrium, creating a casual atmosphere. The hotel features an unassuming bar and restaurant. Whether it's the historic Du Pavillon St Martin, the charming La Vieille Auberge nestled in a quiet neighborhood, or the elevated Hotel Bellevue, there are various options for a pleasant stay in Souillac. Guests have praised the extreme kindness and helpfulness of the staff as well as the excellent local cuisine.
We had a lovely family meal here as part of the celebrations of our daughter’s wedding. Chef Michel, Souz Chef Emilion and Bar Manager Jan couldn’t have done more for us, and made everyone of our 24 group very welcome. The food was delicious and the build up to the firework cake had to be seen to be believed!! Thank you all, it was wonderful!!
Cardoni C — Google review
Such a shame, this place serves lovely cocktails but one of the waitresses took an issue with us standing in the area where the tables are...pretty sure this is a public space...you can't take ownership of this? Well let me tell you, she did. Told us we couldn't stand there and talk as she is serving other tables nearby. There was plenty of room. Just a really bad attitude and unnecessary. Think twice if you're expecting service with a smile!
Georgia-May C — Google review
Very tasty meals reasonable prices, however one member of the staff serving tables has very poor manners which let's the others down. Speed of service was slow and disjointed with meals being served to some of us while others had to wait a lot longer.
Kevin B — Google review
Incredibly rude, very slow service. We ended up leaving after waiting at least 15 minutes without even having water brought to our table.
Amanda W — Google review
We only stayed for drinks but service was very friendly and super prompt. Thank you
Heather B — Google review
Awful service! 40 minutes before we got our meal from entering. No acknowledgment of service delay, no apology, and when we raised it both waitress and manager argued with our perception of the experience! Waitress denied it had been 40 minutes and manager walked off. We had 2 x 2 year olds so were very aware of the time delay. Mediocre food, inhospitable, unfriendly, meals not exactly as described on menu. A dreadful experience.
Elaine S — Google review
Great place to go for just a few drinks or for lunch or an evening meal, the quality of the food is top class and the service is excellent and the staff are fabulous and they have a great sense of humour. Highly recommended.
John L — Google review
A nice, family-friendly hotel with great food and great staff. We used Souillac as a base for a portion of our holiday and this place is very well situated. Management were very flexible with some arrangements. Fan as standard in each room.

French restaurant
Le Beffroi restaurant in Souillac, France, is known for its warm reception and amiable staff. Despite the unpredictable weather, they efficiently prepared a table on the terrace without reservation. The cuisine offered is delightful to the taste buds and skillfully crafted. The option to enjoy their delectable dishes and drinks at the counter or outdoors adds versatility to the dining experience. Being out of season didn't deter them from providing excellent service as we were the first customers of the evening.
We eat there every once in a while. Good cooking, decent prices and great service. Couldn’t ask for more. Merci beaucoup!
Dan H — Google review
Great menu with many regional items. Friendly good service. Would recommend. Ate indoors in air conditioned room. Nice outdoor terrace.
Anthony S — Google review
While one item on the menu didn't seem to fully match the description we all ate really, really well. It's a great location in a little square with outside seating under a wisteria canopy. Starters were good, mains better and deserts superb.
Robin I — Google review
We enjoyed a very nice dinner on our last full day in Souillac. An excellent mille feuilles with foie gras and a well prepared trout. Pricing is good and service attentive and kind.
Frank M — Google review
My group had a less than ideal experience at this restaurant. I ordered a chicken salad, and after eating a few bites I discovered a live maggot on my plate. After struggling for several minutes to get the server's attention, I showed her the maggot crawling around my salad and she had literally no reaction. Without any apology she simply grabbed my plate and said she would bring out a new one. There was no offer of replacing it with another dish and no show of any remorse. Service was terrible and food even worse. Go down the street to Pearce Brothers Melbar. It was much much better! Edit to add: There is absolutely no way a giant maggot fell from the tree and buried itself in the salad dressing at the bottom of my plate completely unnoticed 😂. Only order salads here if you want a bit of surprise, off-menu protein included!
Sophia S — Google review
Best meal we had during our week in the Dordogne. Wonderful food, excellent wine and a beautiful setting under the huge 120 year old wisteria, on the edge of the bustling Square.

Wonderful hotel with great service. Very relaxed, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room. It was beautiful and bright with French doors and a balcony overlooking the terrace and pool. The beds were very comfortable and the room was lovely and cool. The swimming pool was perfect and we were the only ones using it. It has both shade and sunshine, with loungers, grass, and slip proofing around it. Our evening meal was truly delicious!! Overall it was a brilliant little hotel and felt like a real treat to stay there.

(Translated by Google) Friendly welcome, the slightly old-fashioned style gives it a certain charm. Simple, good quality cuisine. Room a little small, double bed a little narrow compared to today's furniture. A must-see when passing through the region.

(Translated by Google) We stayed as a family on the way to Rocamadour. The reception staff was very friendly. We were able to easily park on the street, right in front of the hotel. The room was clean, with spacious beds and bathroom. The hotel's style is old-fashioned, and this is evident in the floors and walls, with carpeting in the room and throughout the hotel (not ideal for allergy sufferers). There are few power outlets, very uncomfortable pillows, and no elevator, which can be a drawback if you have a lot of luggage. Breakfast and the pool were fine. Overall, the stay was acceptable for one night (check the pillows and let us know; we only stayed one night, so we didn't comment on it on-site). However, in our opinion, the standard doesn't quite match its category (3 stars) compared to hotels of the same category and chain (Logis). Recommended only for short stays, as it's clean, affordable, and has a friendly reception.

This cozy lodging features inviting rooms with stunning city views, a welcoming bar, and a regional restaurant complete with a lovely sidewalk terrace. Guests can enjoy various amenities such as free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, and even pet-friendly accommodations.
This place was minutes away from the train station and essentially right in the middle of Souillac. There’s a bar/restaurant in the terrace below. I came here for a nice quiet weekend with someone while traveling to the castles and the medieval villages nearby – that’s exactly what we got! This is an incredible stay for the price.

This must have been very nice place back in the old days, and it still is today. We always go there when we visit Souillac. The hot chocolate is very nice and you get a big serving !

Charming hotel in the old part of town. Our room had a glorious view out over the roofs of Souillac. And it had a bath, perfect for soaking after a small bike accident. The proprietor was so kind, she even gave me a small neck massage in the morning for my sore muscles after falling off my bike. Breakfast was big and tasty. The room had a bird theme. We were so happy to find this place.

Love this quirky bar in Souillac. Affordable and delicious croissants and wine. Would not recommend the coffee, but the experience makes up for it!

Les Tilleuls is an outstanding dining establishment with a wide variety of options. The apple tart is particularly exceptional. The staff is welcoming and the restaurant is frequented by locals, indicating its popularity. I will definitely return to enjoy the delicious food again. The service provided by the friendly staff was excellent and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for money experience for my family of eight who enjoyed a delightful lunch at Les Tilleuls for under 150 euros.
The staff and food were both excellent. We had a large group and they were super accommodating. Most of group didn’t speak any French either, and the staff was very understanding and helpful. It was a bit of an adventure translating everything for everyone. Everyone who got the duck dishes said they were absolutely fabulous. I would 100% recommend.

Nestled in the charming town of Souillac, Hotel Le Quercy offers a delightful retreat for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. This informal hotel boasts a lovely garden, inviting bar, and cozy lounge area, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Guests can take advantage of the outdoor pool and spacious terraces to soak up the sun or enjoy leisurely afternoons.
This is a very cute hotel. The room my fiance and I stayed in had a cute balcony that we loved having morning coffee on. The pool area is nice, and parking was very cheap and convenient. Situated right next to all the cute shops and cafes in the old town area, it was very easy to see the town on foot. The room seemed recently updated with a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

(Translated by Google) An excellent stopover in Quercy! The rooms are clean and air-conditioned, with a balcony perfect for morning coffee (amenities in the room), and the shutters allow for complete darkness for sleeping. The hotel is extremely quiet, in a preserved setting with a small washhouse and little overlooked views. It's easy to stay close, and the pool area is the icing on the cake to enjoy after a day of walking. The restaurants are a 2-minute walk away through narrow streets. All this with the manager at reception who was very pleasant, especially since we were traveling with our small dog. (Dog-friendly hotel). I highly recommend it!

Pleasent setting on road side, on main road through town however.... over priced for slow service and portions a little on the small side to put it nicely. On the other hand waiters are nice but the prices really are very steep for the meals received and drinks prices are also of similar high price.

(Translated by Google) While passing through the region, we booked a room for two people at the Hotel La Promenade. When we arrived, the welcome was more than cold. The discovery of our room disappoints us more in view of the number of stars of the hotel: curtain as a door to separate the sleeping area from the bathroom, a very poorly soundproofed room (noises in the corridors and street side), poor bedding (severe back pain when waking up, the floor would have been more comfortable). Two bedside lamps wouldn't have been too much. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and on this point we were not disappointed. The service was very warm and the staff really friendly. The products were of good quality and we ate well! The only real strong point of the hotel.

Quercyland is a family-friendly complex featuring a water park, adventure rides, boating, and a labyrinth. Visitors have praised the crystal-clear water, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff. While some mention the cost of loungers and lockers as potential downsides, many agree that it's an excellent place for children with entertaining activities and thrilling slides.
Ignore the negative reviews, this place is great for the family. We went to the supermarket 5 mjnutes away, stocked up with food and drinks and the tight swimming trunks (just €9). We were there when it was 30C+, clear skies. Plenty of usable shade and just €2 for a lounger and umbrella. Staff were great, place was immaculate, no kids were causing trouble anx the large pool was deep enough for all abilities to enjoy. One ride under construction, but no queues to speak of and we were there from 11am until 6pm. €15 each, that is just over €2 per hour each, really good value. Our 6 foot plus 85kg son has special needs, but we had no issues changing or using toilet facilities. We had a fabulous time, so ignore those negative reviews as we nearly missed this amazing family experience. Some families turned up with cool boxes loaded with food and drink. There are some big tables and chairs under the shade so easy to have a group party here while the kids burn off those holiday ice creams. There are also lots of pools and toys for tiny tots and non swimmers.
Gregory H — Google review
⭐ Disappointing Experience ⭐ Our family visit was very disappointing. The entrance policy felt unclear — we were charged an extra ticket for our child just because his head touched the height bar with shoes on, while in other cases it didn’t seem applied the same way. Inside, there were extra charges even for sunbeds and tables, and prices were excessive (e.g., €2.5 for a small water bottle). Worse, I was refused tap water while I saw another family receive it for free, which felt unfair. Facilities were old and below expectations. Overall, not worth the money and we would not return.
Moha A — Google review
The adverts promised a lot of slides and much to do next to the slides as well, but it wasn't that big. On the other hand, 10 euro is veru affordable. You can eat at the premises, they have a real wood burner oven for pizzas, Belgium fries and sandwiches. My kids often got whistles from the Life guards , they are very strict although my kids are pretty lovely. I tried to get in the water as well but was pulled out. I had short swim shorts which are not allowed, only a Speedo was ok or my under wear. So I had to sit at a swimming pool in the blazing sun without being allowed to bath. That's really a super stupid rule.
Vincent L — Google review
Nice pool for a day of fun with the kids. The park is a bit old, chaotic in the restaurant. There were no visible Covid19 measures. We have seen no hygienic soap anywhere (not at the toilets, the entree, restaurants), lounge chairs are far too close, chaos at the entrance/exit, no additional measures at the slides, none of the staff wearing masks...
Josephine E — Google review
I don't understand the negative reviews. The park is very clean, except for two waterslides that are under reconstruction everything was operational and the personnel was very friendly. Paying for a deckchair or table is indeed a bit strange (as is €5 for the jacuzzi) but on the other hand: you are allowed to bring your own table and chairs. And otherwise there is sufficient room available on the grass to sit/lie on your towel. Same goes for food and drinks: afaik you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the park. So just do that if you think it's too expensive. Btw it's about 12-14 euro for a pizza and 5 euro for a baguette. I don't think that's really too expensive though. Pricing for the park itself is also very reasonable as it has quite some other things to do apart from the pools and slides: trampolines, a multitude of bouncy castles, pedal karts and accrobranch. And yes: men have to wear tight swimming shorts, as in most municipal pools in France.
Ron B — Google review
I’m not sure what previous reviewers have experienced, but the water was crystal clear, the facilities clean and well managed (some signs of age but nothing you wouldn’t see at any water park or swimming pool) and we couldn’t fault the place. Yes you pay for loungers but you can sit on the grass for free if you don’t want to pay €2! We loved the slides, the pools, the splash park, the staff, the activities - a brilliant place to visit!
G G — Google review
The water park was fine, 1 good slide and good pools for the kids. However, they would not let our 1 year old child wear her sun top wanting her to go topless instead. This is August in France. We knew that adults would have to wear speedos but did not anticipate the strictness for no apparent reason with the kids. Please be cautious with children! Also keep in mind everything is extra once inside (e.g. 2 euros per chair, 5 euros for hot tub etc)

MON PETIT RESTO is a charming dining spot located in Souillac, France. We were supposed to go to another restaurant but that was close so we popped by here to try our luck and it was good! We had the Jammon platter (with absolutely lovely butter), the butcher’s cut and the trout. It was unanimous that the trout was amazing so give that a try!

This will be a rather mixed review. Firstly let me say that the food was really good and great value. However, we arrived just before opening at 12.00 and so had a coffee and selected a table. First customers, but we waited patiently for over 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then we had to attract the staff's attention. It appeared that regulars and locals get preferential treatment.

Pleasant restaurant du quartier tucked away just off main street. We had an excellent inexpensive lunch, no frills just good honest trad French cooking. Fairly short menu but there's something for most tastes inc veggie. Nice friendly vibe, kitchen is partly visible and seems very efficiently run, back dining room is a cellar area, good service. Full of French people on a winter's lunchtime, so obviously geared to local tastes rather than tourists - a good sign of an honest table. Will definitely revisit when passing on the A20 - centre of town is only 5 mins from the autoroute.

Located at 30 rue de la Halle, 46200 Souillac, France, Au Bistrot de la Halle is a French restaurant that offers great value for money. They serve quick and delicious meals such as hamburgers and have various menu options including an "ouvrier" menu for lunch. With a rating of 4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor, it's one of the best restaurants in the area.
We went - without a reservation but with fingers crossed - to Au bistrot de la halle for our last night on holiday. We have had some really good meals so the bar was set quite high. We looked online at about 40 restaurants in a 30min drive radius and settled on this one. The outside has a sweet little terrace and the inside looks a bit like an office (with interesting art and square ceiling tiles) however we only noticed it as we were some of the first to arrive. Once the place filled, which it did quickly, there was a nice atmosphere. The menu had something for everyone. We had burrata, entrecote steak, truffle pasta, the kids had chicken and we all had way too much dessert! The food was excellent. Our fussy children tried everything, and liked it all. It is such a brilliant restaurant and the food despite sounding simple has clever flavours and pairings. Could you find something more picturesque? Probably. Would it have food as good as la halle? I very much doubt it. Such a gem of a restaurant, we wish we were on holiday for longer so we could come back!

L'Occit'Ami is a charming spot that captures the essence of a delightful town square. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a charcuterie board and a glass of wine, making it an ideal choice for both casual snacks and dinner. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly menu, while food arrives promptly without compromising quality. The selection of wine, beer, and ice cream is impressive too!
We didn’t eat there, just came to watch football and the atmosphere was wonderful

I visited this place and the staff were not nice at all and we were served a very bad salad that had no taste or color. In short, there is nothing acceptable in this place except its location only.
Yasmin E — Google review
Beautiful town square. Stopped for a charcuterie board and wine. And stayed for dinner. Kids v happy with the menu. Food came fast but was well prepared. Wine, beer and ice cream selection 10/10.

Great portion of Cesar salad and nice people.

Beer was ok. Butcher beef never never never had 200gr. 50% of the fries were not longer than 2cm. Veggie salad was very poor and simple. Onions came in big pieces, almost full balls. Never again
Martin P — Google review
TOO EXPENSIVE VISITED! Visited today after the market and ordered 2 café-crèmes. A narky-looking waiter brought us 2 black coffees with a bit of white froth on top. We asked for some more hot milk to add and he brought a tiny bit of warm milk in a small jug. For the 'pleasure' we were charged 7€40!!! After 20 yrs of going there each Friday, we will now go elsewhere to a café where we receive good service (with a smile), good coffee and reasonable prices.

Two minutes after ordering the food was on the table! Salad was limp and discoloured. Plus points, location and wine but do avoid the food.

I cannot comment on the food thou it looked good. One of the male staff was such a miserable unhelpful & rude person we refused to eat there. Watch out he tried to short change us even thou he was charging €2 for a small bottle of water & refused to sell a large bottle. W

Nice place for a meal, highly efficient service and excellent food, and very easy on the pocket. Soft drinks only available but that's alright as there are a number of other establishments serving alcohol nearby. Certainly recommended.

Have had occasional takeaways from here over several years and sadly the food has gone from being great to extremely poor. The mousska is more like cottage pie (no traditional lamb or béchamel sauce), portions were small and the takeaway containers were bulked out with rice and iceberg lettuce. Very disappointed for what was an expensive takeaway for 3 people (28 euros). Not returning any time soon! Please, please, return to the lovely food you served years ago!

I was expecting better from the "assiette de la viande mixte" ..... unfortunately it was all so very greasy and tasteless.... and then they over charged me! Maybe try the other kebab joints in town

Pizza Takeout
Pizza restaurant
Pizza Di Jo is a highly recommended pizzeria in Souillac, known for its excellent pizzas made with fresh and local ingredients. The owner is described as a true professional, always providing a joyful and pleasant welcome to customers. The pizza place offers well-stocked pizzas with thick crusts and generous toppings. Customers appreciate the friendly service and the ability to accommodate special dietary needs.
I can't say enough good things about both the pizza, and Jo himself. My group from the UK and US were looking for late-night food to pick up after arriving in Souillac for a wedding. Jo welcomed us in and was kind enough to take a larger order, even though it was late. We made some modification requests he was happy to accommodate; when there was one he couldn't, he gave us recommendations for another restaurant in town that could. The rest of my group went to investigate and I waited for the pizzas. Jo makes all his food to order with fresh local ingredients. We got to talking as they were cooking. He speaks great English; it turns out he speaks great Spanish, too. My Spanish is better than my French, so we had an awesome chat in a mixture of the three. Lovely guy; my first night in an unfamiliar town where I don't speak the language well, and he made me feel at home. The pizzas were delicious; the quality of the toppings really comes through. The crust isn't cracker style but definitely on the thinner, crispier side. If we're ever back in the area, this is the first place we're going for food. The conversation's great, too. Merci, Jo.

Quite nice pizza place! The flavours are great and they put a lot of toppings, which I like! The crust was nive but a lit thicker, which really depends on your personal preference. The service was very quick and friendly, and the pick-up was very punctual.

The dining experience at Royal Kebab was truly delightful. The cuisine served was exceptional and the business owner's aspirations for success were evident. The 'french tacos' offered were of remarkable taste, accompanied by delectable fries that were skillfully seasoned. The chefs showcased their culinary expertise through a diverse and appealing menu. (Translated by Google) Honestly not great: -really average reception -Very long to be served -Greasy kebab full of sauces leaking everywhere (my paper even tore because of the sauce leaking in a trickle and everything fell into the bag...! Yum) -Very fatty frozen fries put at the bottom of the bag (not even a tray) As a bonus, pay attention to the bill, we realized that they made us pay for an entire menu at the price of a simple sandwich (for which, despite our request, they had put around ten greasy fries in the bag) which was It's also amazing when bathed in 3 cm of liquid sauce.
