Les Prés Gaillardou is a popular dining establishment on LaCarte, known for its visually appealing menus, competitive prices, customer reviews, and more. The restaurant consistently delivers high-quality cuisine in an inviting atmosphere with attentive staff. It has gained a loyal following over the years due to its excellent value for money - offering comparable quality to pricier competitors. Their diverse set menus are highly recommended, and the chef caters even to vegetarian preferences.
A new great local find! This is a classic french restaurant, and we were surrounded by locals. Olivier and Carlyse are a lovely couple. From beginning to end, entre to plat, we enjoyed every minute. A must go!

A truly delightful dining experience! The magret de canard was sublime, and the trout was simply outstanding. The garden setting added a cozy and charming touch. Highly recommended!
Ruben B — Google review
Excellent dinner - “perfect egg” for starter, we got steak and confit duck for the main, and then wonderful desserts to finish the meal. Kind service and perfect place for a meal outside of Sarlat. Great food without a stuffy atmosphere!
M E — Google review
An excellent restaurant in the heart of Dordogne. We had the amazing dick confit which was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. We concluded with the walnut cake with chocolate to finish the great experience. We will come back next time.
Mordechai S — Google review
A small pleasant room with a welcoming staff. The fireworks start when the dishes begin to arrive. The food is inventive, deeply flavorful, and immensely satisfying. The chef has a relaxed, and profoundly confident style. She (yes, she), doesn’t seem driven to impress, but instead, let’s the flavors themselves speak. Presentations are gentle, without ego or ostentation. Go eat here. You will be planning a repeat visit before dessert is finished…

Such a lovely local restaurant with simple but very delicious food. The fois gras is amazing. Its homemade by the owner. Highly recommend!

Lou Toupi is an incredibly impressive establishment located in a stunning vicinity, right by Roche Gajeac. The setting boasts an enchanting ambiance with tables arranged beneath a tent adorned with joyful lights. Their sophisticated selection of beverages showcases exceptional wines that are true hidden treasures. As for the cuisine, it surpasses all expectations with its meticulous preparation and unparalleled attention to detail. The appetizers are generous, the main courses are simply divine, and the desserts are indulgent beyond imagination.
So based on my experience I would recommend this place. Great location and cool atmosphere. The food was delicious also. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere with top notch food this is the place. It is outside and exactly what we were looking for.
Brad G — Google review
The atmosphere was fantastic, peaceful and inviting. A refreshing breeze flowed under the walnut trees by the river, adding to the charm. The food was excellent, flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. Special mention goes to the carrot purée, sweet, smooth, and absolutely delicious. The view of the village added a lovely finishing touch to the experience.
Angu L — Google review
Stopped at this charming place for lunch. Outstanding food that’s made with nod to local cuisine with fresh ingredients and lovely location in a walnut grove, staff are friendly and service great. You can watch the chef cooking as you sip on your cocktails(which looked delish too!) Highly recommend, but do book in advance as it’s not a big place.

Hungry after a long sweaty hike, we did not deserve a seat at this amazing place. We spotted the sign from the car, strong gut feeling it would be good. And it really was. Fantastic young team, at the top of their game delivering delicious, local food - serving classic French food with a modern twist. Delicious, fresh and if you love meat - it's cooked to perfection on an open flame. The atmosphere is wonderful, really cool place with the best view in Roque Gageac. Superb service, relaxed, friendly, professional and we were very grateful to be able to ask Qs in English, our French is bad! Really want to wish these guys luck.
Laura H — Google review
This is such a cool place with an excellent view of the valley. We went for dinner and sunset was magical. The steaks are cooked on a wood fire exactly as I asked for it. The duck confit was also delicious so don’t miss out on this wonderful spot
Sergio G — Google review
This should have post d in sept but google error occurred The chefs fixed up a gastronomic delight in every course we had. How could things sound so simple and taste so delicious! It was all superb )including the wine) added to that the setting was in a beautiful walnut orchard under an awning - it was certainly a pleasant overload to the senses, taste and sight, both for the food and location. The service was fantastic and everyone so helpful and accommodating.
ERaf C — Google review
Wahoo ! What an absolutely amazing place. It starts with the location, just in front of Roche Gajeac. The tables are set below a tent, with festive lights all around. The drinks menu is refined and elegant, with some absolute gems of wines. Then the food : everything is prepared to perfection, with the type of care that one can only dream about. The starters are generous, the mains are to die for and the deserts decadent. The côté de bœuf for 2 was just astonishingly tasty and I did steal some the Périgord chimichurri to go with it. It was so good I would bottle it home ! Quite frankly, these types of places are making such a difference and deserve to be known. Well done!
Julien T — Google review
The best duck I’ve ever eaten, brilliant service from a great team and what a location! Perfect. The best evening meal in the dordogne so far. Also, you should 100% try the Chocoate and nut desert! Delicious.

French restaurant
I recently had dinner at La Belle Étoile with friends to celebrate my birthday, drawn in by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on "Tripadvisor". This restaurant indeed has many positive aspects, but I find the additional charges excessive. Starting from the 32 euro base menu, one can quickly end up paying 49 euros if tempted by the most appealing dishes.
Our host in Sarlat recommended this restaurant for its romantic view and cuisine. It met or exceeded our expectations in every way. We were seated in a nice window seat overlooking the Dordogne. Our waited was efficient and spoke English for us. We chose the gourmet menu for 62 euros per person and agreed it was worth the cost. We were offered 2 different complimentary amuse bouche to start with the fresh local salmon being the best. The starters, foie gras and escargots, were delicious with just an absolute explosion of flavors, but not too overpowering in any one. Our mains were a local beef filled and veal. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The desserts were another highlight with a symphony of delightful flavors.
Douglas H — Google review
We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking and were immediately drawn in by how charming and spotless it looked. The owners were so warm and welcoming that we decided to come back later for dinner—and we’re glad we did. The service was not only super friendly but also genuine and attentive. Every dish was excellent: zucchini flowers stuffed with lobster, a rich mushroom risotto, and a perfectly cooked steak with truffles. Everything was executed with care and tasted incredible.
Kate S — Google review
One of our very favorite restaurants in the vicinity of Sarlat. Everything top-shelf, creative, delicious. Great service and incomparable location. Also a very good value. Enjoy!
Gary E — Google review
Regis and Theo are master chefs! We love their food. Madam Ongaro, Benoit and Ana were very kind to us. Jerome found me a bottle of Chardonnay that was lovely and not expensive. Our favourite food , this visit, was the oeuff en cocotte (such comfort food), the duck cooked on straw, the fish, the rum baba, with citrus and chocolate infused rum, and the peanut and chocolate dessert with mango and passionfruit ice cream. We had a wonderful self-guided 3 hour canoe ride down the Dordogne, past lots of castles, while we were staying at la Belle Etoile.it was magic.
Jillian C — Google review
Must visit if you are around. Restaurant is suroundong in a wonderland and all the team members show us how the hospitality should be. All the meals are over the clouds.
Alican M — Google review
Fantastic dinner with special touches, pre dinner amuse bouche. For our appetizer we had snails & foie gras. For dinner we had lamp & beef. And the deserts and wine were delightful.
Josie M — Google review
The service and ambience were great, but we expected much more from the food, especially considering the high reviews. The egg and mushroom appetizer was great. The entrees (hake fish and duck breast) were bland and underseasoned. The texture of the gnocchi was mushy and raw. The baba rum cake was also lacking. I'm sad to leave a low review, but I just can't recommend the restaurant considering the other quality options in the nearby area.
Natalie B — Google review
If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. The food was beautiful, and they hit the sweet spot between fine dining and too pompous and claustrophobic. Excellent service, really the best. I gave 'atmosphere' a 4 stars, then realised it was only to highlight the food and service. The bottom line is, I can't fault the place - we have been meaning to go for months, and now we will go often.

During a canoe trip down the Dordogne, we visited Patio for lunch. We indulged in the Perigoux burger, a lavish treat made with roast duck and generous chunks of foie gras, while my companion opted for the regular burger. Although the structural integrity of the burger was lacking, its flavor was extraordinary and unforgettable. Additionally, Patio's patio offers stunning views of the cliffs, and their service is friendly and efficient. This establishment also boasts an upstairs terrace that provides shade to patrons.
Nice relaxed restaurant. Great home made walnut cake. Nice house burger. Great atmosphere below the caves when roof is open. Thank you for a great night, which was very good value.

Such a great restaurant in one of the prettiest villages in France. The staff are really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The menu has both traditional local items as well as kid pleasers, the deserts are particularly good. Price was excellent, one of the cheapest restaurants we've been to in the area but the food and service were the best. The seating is great, all outdoors in a courtyard with roll-out roofing in case of rain. Perfect place, make sure to book as it is very busy!

Fabulous welcoming restaurant. Great service. Delicious food, beautifully presented. A real jewel to find. We had a relaxing lunch. Every member of staff took time to say hello and goodbye.

Grand place for lunch. Family run. Value. Of all things, a great cheeseburger.
Glen H — Google review
Very nice place, they got a terrace upstairs with shadow. Daily menu to choose: 1. Main course + dessert 16€ 2. Entry+main course 17€ 2. Entry+main+dessert 19€ We tried 1, we had duck and the way they cook was excellent. The only contra and thats why Im giving 4/5 star is the dessert...totally improvable, it was very low quality...
Rutas A — Google review
We went here because the Google review showed photos of pizza . When we got there there were no pizzas on the menu? We did have a lovely lunch in a pretty setting. Kudos to our waiter who was so very kind and patient as we tried to figure out what to order with our poor French.
Audrey H — Google review
Food is ok. The duck filet is a bit too well-done. My side dish was quite burned as showed in the picture.
Chia-chen L — Google review
Set in a beautiful village of La Roque Gageac On the banks of Dordogne on the lower main road we thought give this restaurant a go as this is a bit of a tourist honeypot town we did think it would be ok food. Walking up step stairs you come in to a covered area with light material protection from the sun and suppose rain The inside was very quaint. We opted for a Italian salad and bruschetta. When the food arrived we thought it was nice as he made sure ladies first. The food was absolutely lovely, with out sounding over the top and false it was our best Italian salad and the bruschetta, the base was so warm and soft with firmness and topping different hams and cheeses. It was good value for the price we paid. We would go back there again had it not been a one of visit. I do judge a place by its toilets and they were clean too. Friendly staff not rushing us for choices. It did get very busy, but in a nice way

On a chance encounter, we stumbled upon Auberge Le Colombier and were delighted with our experience. The cuisine was excellent, showcasing delicious local specialties. The service was also commendable. It is highly recommended to avoid the crowded tourist village nearby and indulge in the exceptional offerings of this restaurant. The charming ambience under a magnificent tree adds a touch of romance in the evenings. We savored dishes like Soup Paysanne and duck salad, accompanied by the delightful Julien de Savignac rose wine.
Genuinely excellent lunch in a lovely setting. The best meal we had in a region with great food.

must try if you are in the area for some local traditional cuisine/cheese from the region. we had one of each and portion was big. none of us finish our food. they have kids menu as well. service was fast, though I felt they were rushing us to order, finish n leave...

If you see one, you need to try it out. Very large portion and excellent food in the fixed menu while dining in a country setting. Service is good and fast,. The chef, a young man , come out and explain the food in English. Highly recommended!

Really good place to visit and eat. Generous servings, excellent, authentic french cuisine. Service is perfect. Remember to reserve before coming!

Had an amazing lunch en famille. Was introduced to this place through a friend and what a recommendation. Avoid the nearby busy tourist village and enjoy this exceptional restaurant. We sat under a massive tree which must be a romantic venue in the evening. I had Soup Paysanne (hot) and duck salad accompanied by a Julien de Savignac rose wine.

The restaurant boasts an elegant ambiance with either stylish striped walls or a peaceful leafy courtyard. With a focus on using local ingredients and cooking methods steeped in tradition, Chef Bruno and the dedicated staff provide attentive yet effortless service.
We live in the Dordogne and just discovered this outstanding restaurant ! The positive energy you feel upon entering is only surpassed by the warm reception and delicious food prepared with local ingredients. The artist Mika has added to the sense of fun. We will be back and recommend to friends !

Superb meal! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. The chef is truly talented — fantastic cuisine, both beautifully presented and full of flavor. Warm welcome and impeccable service.
Sandra — Google review
The food was good but we (and other tables) were battling mosquitoes and flies the entire evening, and the service was pretentious, arrogant and borderline rude. We came with a toddler and the opposite of accommodating. They serve a child menu designated for children under 8 only (!), which contained nothing that and small child I know would eat. They basically forced it on us and refused even the slightest adjustment (such as serving their ice cream separate from the elaborate fruit-based dessert that they decided was the only thing they would offer to children under 8). I’ve been to many fine dining restaurants. A good chef can feed anyone.

Hôtel La Roque Gageac - L'Auberge des Platanes is an informal accommodation option with basic rooms, a few of which offer scenic views of the river. The hotel also boasts a charming rustic dining area, a cozy bar, and two lovely terraces. It is known for being pleasant and tidy, with comfortable beds that guarantee a peaceful night's sleep.
Simple hotel with with the best location, good view, simple breakfast 11 euros for adults and 8 euros for kids. There is a free private parking space for the guests. The boat is just in front of the hotel, better to book quick and go on the first round which is 10 am.

Thinking of eating here! Take the poor overall google rating for what it is. The staff members are so unfriendly. One member in the restaurant was unbelievably rude to us, raised her voice at us because we sat in the wrong seat. They moved us three times. Being disabled they showed no compassion. unforgivable.
Love T — Google review
Terrible food and staff not very friendly. We visited twice, hoping if we ordered differently the food would be better - but both times our beef was way undercooked for what we asked, so we didn’t eat it. They ask how you would like your beef cooked, but it comes out basically blue regardless of what you ask. Staff (especially on second visit) were not friendly. We won’t be visiting again on our next holiday, which is a shame as it’s a beautiful location.
Katrina F — Google review
It totally felt like a tourist trap. Prices are too high when it comes to the quality of food. Servers were kind, but you can see that they are under a lot of stress to manage as many tables as possible...

Le Palmier is a fantastic place to pause and enjoy a delicious crepe and refreshing beverage while admiring the breathtaking sunset of the hot air balloons, les montgolfieres. It also offers a pleasant stroll up the cliff side, providing an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. The establishment serves amazing food and boasts efficient service. Their quiche is particularly outstanding, surpassing any I have had in numerous years. Le Palmier is truly an excellent pizza restaurant that guarantees a delightful culinary experience.
I had to read some of the reviews two or three times and then check that it was the same place that we stopped at on a sunny Sunday afternoon in mid-October 2024. We've stopped at LePalmker many times over the years, mainly buying ice creams with our children, but this was the first time that we stopped for drinks and crepes. The waiter was prompt, polite and pleasant. Our drinks, a hot chocolate and a beer, arrived shortly after, and it wasn't long before our crepes arrived too. We sat for nearly an hour relaxing and enjoying our drinks in the sunshine. It was reasonably busy, with lots of other people enjoying the sunshine. The service was good, the waiter was friendly and our crepes were nice too. We paid €16. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews with nearly 2 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 55 million views and still going strong 💪. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

If I had an option for Zero ⭐️I would have e selected this. Disgusting staff, food was worse - an absolute tourist trap. Have lunch before you get to this beautiful spot in France. The French Tourism Authority should revoke their ability to deal with tourists
David S — Google review
Beautiful setting ruined by lack of service. I should have read reviews before sitting down but there are few places to sit out in the beauty of the area. We can at 1310 and the waiter arrived and asked what we would like. I needed to look at a menu which he had to find and then left. Upon returning the surly waiter said we could not order food, only drinks and dessert. We surrendered and ordered beer. Crepe and a chocolate waffle. Crepe, waffle, latte and a beer for 23 euro. Pass this place by.

Awful !!! Barely impossible to have a table (impossible to book !). Even the manager, a young man, is impolite in front of us...not so professionnal... We ate nearly this restaurant at L'atelier du Périgord. Clearly better and not so expensive regarding what Le Palmier can offer

However, we were a little disappointed this time because we were the first customers with my family and yet there was no longer any chocolate mousse on the menu at 22€. I don't hold you to blame for that but we should look for a solution against wasps because these little creatures were hell.

(Translated by Google) Obliged to give a star to comment on this place which deserves none. First menu at 24 euros gives you the right to a starter consisting of a slice of incipid industrial foie gras accompanied by 2 pieces of dry bread from the local supermarket, 2 leaves of salad which are frankly not fresh....followed by a uninteresting dish of duck aiguillettes... we stopped there, didn't want to try the dessert included in the menu, the joke had gone on long enough. The wine could have been good if it had not been served downright hot....In short, a shame for this region, an overpriced meal for flunch quality. And finally, know that if you want to share your plate with your 2 year old child, it will cost you 4 euros more!!!! Our first restaurant in this region, we will remember it.

Another establishment taking advantage of tourists' incredulity! Everything is overpriced, not fresh, sandwiches made with industrial bread (yes, you read that right!). Canoë Bar Dordogne in Sarlat is a delightful spot that combines excellent service with a charming atmosphere. Guests rave about the brazier formula, which features high-quality meats and unlimited fries, making it a perfect choice for food lovers. The friendly staff and owners create an inviting environment filled with laughter and good vibes. For those seeking adventure, the canoeing experience on the Dordogne River is truly refreshing.
(Translated by Google) I've done it twice and it's a really relaxing walk. Watch out for the gabards which have priority. 16km from point A to point B then return by van with the rental company. A moment of freshness guaranteed and I recommend first visiting the surrounding sites at height in order to enjoy a low-angle view from the river. 4 hours to do the ride but we really have time to stop, have a picnic, recharge our batteries, visit for about 1 hour following your paddle strokes of course. (Translated by Google) Hello, in response to the owner's previous negative comment. The canoe was well open from the start because it was unstable from the start, the narrowness of the 40cm slot allowed navigation thanks to a relatively low filling rate of the boat. A bit of low-grade physics and fluid mechanics for a manager who excels in bad faith. Fortunately the support was free, I found myself pregnant in the middle of the Dordogne having to manage equipment and belongings while the boat was sinking. Truly pitiful. Vraiment lamentable.

(Translated by Google) It could have been perfect... At 10:30 this morning we rented a 2-seater kawak with my wife. Nice welcome, nothing to say. Another song about the person who provides the boats. At the end of his life after obviously going to bed too late. Rude, familiar, mistreating the boats on the concrete before launching (same thing on arrival). We should have been more wary and checked our kayak. Very quickly, a bad feeling on the water, it's not stable then we start to take on water and after 40 minutes it's a tragedy. The kayak overturns and begins to sink. Perfect support, after a call we were sent someone with a new kayak. The first was open for 40cm, obviously being dragged on the concrete rather than carried by 2 or thrown carelessly from the embankment once again onto the concrete must not have helped. The 15km journey ends very pleasantly. However, rather than a few apologies on arrival for the inconvenience, what looked from a distance like a boss screwed up behind his bar, managed to ask me how I could have caused the damage without ever questioning himself. Alleging stories of tree trunks as if we were on the Leyre.. In short, the Vitrac-Beynac ride is not to be missed, it's a fact but certainly not with this rental company. To the wise... A bon entendeur..

Chez Tom, a charming pizzeria situated in a stunning location, offers excellent service and delectable cuisine at reasonable prices. Patrons can enjoy their meal outdoors on a delightful summer day while admiring the picturesque view of the river and town. The only minor drawback is its close proximity to a moderately busy road. Nevertheless, this establishment boasts the finest thin crust pizza one could ever taste - surpassing even those experienced in Italy.
Wonderful little pizzeria in a gorgeous setting. Great, friendly and efficient service with good food and decent prices. We sat outside on a lovely summer’s day with a great view over the river and town. Just a slight negative in that it’s right on the side of a fairly busy road but we would happily visit again.

The food was fine for us, 5 people in total. We were with six and one of us has a gluten intolerance. When we got the bill an additional 5 euro was added, due to the fact that we were taking up a seat as one of us did not order food. The waitress referred to “supplement couvert”. We ordered six drinks so it is not possible to just have a drink, you need to eat something as well? The fact that one of us is having a gluten intolerance was not taken, we had to pay!! This is the first time in 16 years that we haven been travelling to France that this happens. I hope it will also be the last time. For a persoon with gluten intolerance it is very difficult to eat something at a restaurant. So you are already being punished and now punished double in a way. I hope the waitress will take this in consideration the next time someone else brings this up, a person who has certain intolerances. Just an advise …. You (the waitress) can ignore it as well, but as a waitress you should recieve people with a smile, not in a very kranky way, a smile was difficult….

A highly recommended restaurant by our stay’s hosts. Outdoor seating on a patio with views of the beautiful Dordogne river & limestone cliffs. In April it was breezy and cool but the interior was not open for dining. The staff were friendly enough & helpful. The dishes were well executed, beautifully presented and filling. The asparagus plate was a tantalizing sensory experience, so delicious. The poached foie gras arrived as the largest slab I’ve ever been served! Beautifully marbled, smooth, silky, yet firm, some of the best foie gras I’ve ever tasted! The duck confit was perfection & the the duck breast was delicious. I would return for the asparagus, foie gras & duck confit, the perfect dinner! Besides the cool evening, dinner was absolutely fantastic.

What a pleasant dining experience! Friendly and speedy service despite being very busy. The food was excellent. My picky young children loved the mique bread and dips and braised beef. The fish of the day dish that I had was flavorful and original. Perhaps the food tasted even better in the shadow of the cliff face, sunset and moon rising over the Dordogne. Thank you to the whole team for a great evening!

The food here was pretty good with plenty of variety. The lady who served us was a sweetheart but the guys there could have been a bit more welcoming. We were there in the evening on a still day and were lucky enough to witness a gaggle of hot air balloons flying by. That was a real treat. The terrace is nicely situated with plenty of river and town views to look upon. They were kind to our children so don’t hesitate if you have young ones like we do.

Les Courtines is a charming accommodation located in La Roque-Gageac, offering picturesque river views and convenient access to Sarlat-la-Caneda Train Station. Guests can enjoy the serene atmosphere and free WiFi along with complimentary private parking. The property also features a delightful garden with scenic river views, providing a perfect setting for dining or enjoying coffee. Visitors have praised the friendly staff and excellent service, making it an ideal spot to savor delicious meals while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Les Courtines gave us one of the simplest and most wonderful lunches of our trip so far. Everything about it felt just right. The setting was picture-perfect, outdoor seating with a front-row seat to the Dordogne’s vibrant flow and the quiet charm of La Roque-Gageac. No rush, birds singing, just beauty all around. • The food was honest, fresh, and full of flavour. We had a delicious soring tartine that was absolutely lovely. Fresh lemon ricotta paired with asparagus on crusty toast, a combination that was both light and satisfying. Then we finished with some local treats… A rich, creamy walnut ice cream (this is walnut country, after all) and a perfect cannelé. Crisp and deeply caramelized on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, with a whisper of vanilla and a hint of rum. Simple pleasures done just right. • Lastly, the service was wonderful, that alone would bring us back. Warm, joyful, and genuinely welcoming. • This lunch was a gentle reminder that you do not always need a fancy, three-course affair to experience something truly special. A peaceful setting, fresh ingredients, and happy people, sometimes that is all we need.

I’ll give them a star for honesty. After looking me over I was told they don’t have tables for one, only tables for two. There seemed plenty of space. Do they also refuse a party of 3? Their loss. I’d just finished a 100km paddle down the Dordogne and was ready to eat for at least 2 people! 😂. Not a place for a solo traveller it seems. I hope the couple they gave the table to was on a diet and shared a single course 😂.

After a beautiful, brief stroll through the bamboo forest, we discovered this restaurant—a wonderfully serene spot nestled in the middle of the woods. From a seating area under a large parasol, we savored refreshing cocktails while watching koi fish shimmer in the pond below. It was a blissful contrast to the bustling downtown area; what a pleasure it was to relax here for a moment. The staff was exceptionally attentive, taking time for a friendly chat while still keeping a careful eye on the other customers. After our cocktails, we walked back through the bamboo forest to the parking lot. That's when we truly appreciated how this tranquil restaurant had momentarily sheltered us from the bright sun, the crowds, and the constant noise that are so common at other terraces.

Such a romantic and charming place for a nice lunch or any other meal of the day. I love bamboos so this place is all eye-candy to me. Seatings are outside only, surrounded by bamboos and varieties of lush trees and other plants with a couple koi fish ponds. They have a lot of seatings but such a place will probably fill up during nicer weather. We came when there were just 5 other guests so service was rather fast. For the main course I had the gambas and it was two HUGE gambas. The food is good but i think it is a bit overpriced.

Beautiful setting and the restaurant is tucked away from the crowds. I had the goat cheese salad and the duck and both were wonderful. Definitely recommend if you need a quiet reprieve.

This was such a great restaurant! It is just like eating in the jungle. The food is tasty, the drink menu is very wide and the waitresses are very friendly. Conclusion, this is a fantastic place to come and dine!

Loved the ambiance of this place. Shaded and surrounded by beautiful trees and bamboo. Helpful staff and a great steak at a reasonable price.

This lovely restaurant overlooking the river was a wonderful discovery on our last night in La Roque. The staff was warm and welcoming, the setting was peaceful, and the food was delicious! Would definitely go back again. Don’t miss it!

We were looking forward to a nice meal here with such a great location and setting. Sadly, the expectation didn't match our experience. The team are very nice but the food is inconsistent. My partner had a very well cooked steak but the quality of the food wasn't great. The time you have to wait for the food is exceptionally long. Overall we had a pleasant experience but not really the standards expected.

We arrived at the restaurant around 12:25. One hour later we didn’t even have the menu on our table and they didn’t even asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered but the drinks didn’t come. I had to come inside to complain. After 2 hours there the food arrived. The food was good but not worth the wait. We had our baby with us and she was very annoyed, like us. We wasted a precious time there that we could be exploring the city.

Quelle disastère! Have never seen such an andoulette in my life! Food is average, and service took no less than 2 hours (120 minuits en francais) pur arrival. Id rather watch the paint dry than go to this gaff honeslty. No hate on the staff who were nice but i simply got to the restaurant at 8:30 and wasnt served mains until 10:00 pm. Chefs need to be put into a george foreman.. with no salt... my dad has low blood sugar and turned into an escargot with the pressure

Meeting our friends who were down from Normandy they had reserved a table for 12:30, the weather was seriously hot, we got our table drinks order in, one bottle of water between 8!! Ordered our food.....one hour later still no food, we went to ask and were told "very soon"....well over an hour waiting, the Coq au Van with Very poor greasy Sarladaise Potatoes were tasteless, my Ceasar Salad was the same, very tough Lettuce, no flavour to the Sauce two tiny pieces of Tomato, cheap chips with the Burger, we didn't order anything more, just paid and left, €228, (€9.50 for a Beer)......

We had freshly made baguettes and a burger cooked freshly and quickly. It was so reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Julien was very welcoming and friendly to us and provided us with a menu in English too. Well worth a visit!

Husband declared that this was the best take a way burger he had ever tasted. Tasty steak burger with fries and mayo. I enjoyed a duck baguette which was just as tasty.

(Translated by Google) We went back a second time because it was so good. We recommend the duck sausage sandwich. Absolutely delicious with its homemade mayonnaise, fried onions and arugula. It's generous, melting and full of flavor! A very nice surprise in such a touristy place. Very fast and friendly service, thank you!

(Translated by Google) I recommend this place for a quick and inexpensive meal. The price is reasonable for homemade food. Friendly staff. The Perigord fries are American-style, but with duck strips, they're delicious, to die for. A big thank you for this delicious meal.

(Translated by Google) A quick trip to La Roche Gageac and this very friendly little fast food restaurant. The duck rillettes sandwich was excellent and we went back for a little ice cream. We were very well received. I recommend it if you're passing through.

(Translated by Google) If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! The ice creams are absolutely delicious (I can't get over the coconut and chocolate ones) and the staff is super welcoming and has a great sense of humor.

(Translated by Google) We visited La Roque-Gageac and stopped at this sandwich shop. We ate five very good sandwiches (a special mention for the Périgourdin). Then we came back for five ice creams, also very good. And the people are friendly too. In short, a great place.

(Translated by Google) Frankly, I don't understand the positive reviews about the sandwiches. The bread is soggy, the hot duck is greasy with a subpar ketchup and mustard mix. The Parisian sandwich isn't any better, made with supermarket ingredients. Out of five people, only one finished theirs...
