French restaurant
Beau Site - jehan de valon is a charming establishment with a reception area that exudes historical charm, featuring exposed stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings, tapestries, and gleaming copper pots. It was once the residence of Jehan de Valon, Commander of the Order of Knights of Jerusalem. Guests have praised the delicious food and impeccable service at this location.
The food is excellent, we had linguini and lamb, both delicious. The local red wine from rocamadour is good. The initial amuse bouche was a very good soup. The bread was ok. The service was nice as the people who took care of us were very friendly and professional , however it was slow. But good food takes time and the view magnificent so with good company it does not matter much to wait a little. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Nice restaurant in the citée medievale of Rocamadour. I had a breakfast of croissant, coffee, orange just, jam, and bread and was really tasty and fresh. The location is perfect, facing the famous château there! Recommended! Enjoy...

Great place, with lots of place. Very convenient after your visit of a church on the top. Great service, nice people. But a bit expensive for the quality, you could get better local experience. But again, as a tourist place its not bad at all
Anna L — Google review
Expecting a bit of a tourist restaurant, delighted to report it is án excellent french restaurant, although some of the clientele ... Very good hake and salad followed by home made sorbets. Classic french restaurant service. Great spot on the balcony with a great view. Good place for lunch for sure. Would come again!

Very tasty food and very cute setting. The cheese selection and scallop was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

Food was delicious, very flavourful and beautifully presented. Service was excellent - friendly and attentive waiters. Very pleasant setting under trees on the balcony. Both adults and children were very happy, thank you!

Decided to have dinner here after a hot afternoon looking around Rocamador. Brilliant decision. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Can recommend the “Thé Glacé Citron” for a refreshing drink. Both mains and puddings were beautifully presented and full of flavour. Highly recommend eating here.
Martin F — Google review
A nasty surprise indeed: no artichoke with the foie gras, but carrots instead of the « artichoke tarte tatin » announced on the menu; no « blackcurrents condiment » but just plain… Blackberries !!!, which doesn’t match with the duck gravlax at all, and the « local walnuts » served with it were very dry and old …pecan nuts !!! the wine was light bodied, my strawberrie dessert had a fawl taste, I couldn’t eat it, and so on. ‘Seems that the chef doesn’t expect tourists to have good taste. We’ve been offered the wine, as we were rightly complaining, which is nice, but we would have prefered to just get a decent meal. Too bad!

Nestled in the charming village of Rocamadour, Hôtel Restaurant Le Bellevue is a delightful culinary haven that offers an unforgettable dining experience. With its enchanting terrace adorned with lush greenery and stunning mountain vistas, guests can savor exquisite cheese plates and delectable meat dishes while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The restaurant specializes in French and Mediterranean cuisine, presenting beautifully crafted meals that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate.
If you're looking for a restaurant in the center of Rocamadour, I'd recommend to pay Restaurant Le Bellevue a visit. You can walk from the top of the historical centre (the castle) to the restaurant in about 15 minutes. There is also a large parking nearby. Price quality ratio is really good and the entire staff was very friendly and able to switch between French and English, depending on the guests. We enjoyed our dinner on the terrace with a beautiful view on the church and castle of Rocamadour.

Very welcoming and professional. Enjoyed the duck followed by an excellent sweet. Having visited this hotel 60 years ago I was delighted to return to celebrate my wife's 80.

Hands down, the best hotel and restaurant in Rocamadour. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights alongside our pup and we had such a wonderful time. The entire staff is friendly - even after working long hours. From the chefs to cleaning staff, we were cared for with so much attention. The hotel is conveniently located at a 10 minute walk from the old town. We were so glad to have stayed here instead of the actual city center because of the restaurant. We woke up and ate breakfast everyday with a beautiful view of Rocamadour. I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll enjoy their friendly faces and good food. The only feedback is perhaps making the tuna tartar more Asian-style with ginger and soy sauce other than tomatoes and onions. But hey, I’m not a chef. Thanks to all the staff and concierge for making our stay memorable and of course, for all the recommendations nearby. Cheers!
Julie V — Google review
The food lived up to our expectations. The respect for the product and the chef's know-how is evident in the attention to detail. Although our reservation specified a table on the terrace, we were placed in a spot that would not be our first choice, but the warmth of the service and the charm of the place meant that we were able to fully enjoy ourselves. Overall, a very pleasant evening

Wovvv. Nothing to say, the pictures should speak for themself. Excellent service with a smile and some excellent suggestions... Rapport qualité prix est très bien. Réserve in advance to be sure to have a place.

The view at this restaurant is amazing. But there is a restaurant across the street that seems to haven't even more amazing for you. This restaurant is across the street from the great view. We were really excited about this restaurant, but unfortunately, the food just wasn't that good my fish was OK. I don't have any complaints really but my husband's steak was very bad. Really chewy. If you are only going to be in this area for a few days I would choose a different restaurant. The service was totally fine.

Restaurant
Le Roc du Berger is a charming wooden inn located in the heart of an old truffle field, between the Medieval City of Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac. The restaurant offers authentic local cuisine made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including wood-fired grills. The impressive shaded terrace provides a tranquil setting for enjoying delicious meals.
FIRE! lamb raised by owner cooked over wooden fire, entrcot (rsised in france) was also fantastic. what do you want more? of course service was real friendly and deserts to die for. restsurant situated in woods.
Karl S — Google review
The food here was quite nice but it all felt very heavy. The potatoes came with some kind of cheese on it, but it felt like there was more cheese than potato. The sausages were really tasty but they were overwhelmingly big. The only black tea they had was black tea with lemon but it was still a nice end to the meal.
Coralie P — Google review
Entree servings were very generous. I had the smoked trout salad which was delicious. The grilled lamb was very nicely seasoned and grilled but didn't have the flame grilled flavour I was expecting. The sides included with the mains were a bit disappointing. Drinks very reasonably priced.
Edouard W — Google review
Fly infestation. As soon as food was served 50-80 flies came to the table. Absolutely disgusting and impossible to enjoy a meal there. Fly repellant or allowing people to be seated indoors would be very useful. Had two bites before we had to leave. Disgusting.
Islam S — Google review
The best is the atmosphere, especially if you have kids. Fresh and lots of trees. The staff is average French staff, good humor is absent, and if you ask something out of the standard (i.e., change tables or wait for a better table), they seem to bug somehow. For what the atmosphere is, the place isn't up to it. The bug trampoline next to it, it's great though.
Rafael M — Google review
Great spot, its a must. We stopped there for lunch between two spots. Actually, it wasnt planned!! Kids saw all the equipment they had onsite and needed to make a detour. Haha. No regrets. Their cooking were on point, and kids had a blast. Its a must stop.

French restaurant
Le Quercygnac, located in the Quercy region of France, is a captivating village with a rich history and stunning natural surroundings. The village of Rocamadour is nestled amidst mountains and wilderness, offering a unique experience for travelers. Its architectural marvels reflect the hierarchical structure of the French Feudal system, with distinct orders governing society.
I must speak about the panacotta. It's one of the best I had in my life (and I had a lot). I'm currently in Sardinia, and our lunch ended as well with a panacotta. That's when I remember that great dessert we had a few days ago in Rocamadour. It was creamy, with a very pronounced cream taste, and the strawberry coulis, made with freah fruits was offering so much contrast with the milky taste....delicioso. Before the panacotta we had the main dish, made with some local duck meat. And some very well roasted french fries. The whole meal is very consistent, prices are reasonable, the service is speedy and excellent, and the restaurant is just before the main gate. So we can eat before visiting Rocamadour, and doing a second stop on our way back.
Xavier G — Google review
It was the only place serving some food at night So the options were limited. However, we were surprised how great these options were!. The food is very simple but very tasty. I liked everything we ordered and would visit this place another time to try their whole menu.
AK A — Google review
A very authentic French experience - the food was very good, especially the duck confit and house frites. The service was good, although we had to wait a long time to be seated despite a reservation. The atmosphere was not the best - there were flies EVERYWHERE, the stuffing and springs were coming out of my chair making sitting very uncomfortable and the family next to us had a screaming baby for the entire meal that made it difficult to even hear one another. This also isn’t the place for views of rocamadour - you need to go further up or down for that. Overall, it your priority is good food at the expense of atmosphere then this is a good pick - otherwise, venture elsewhere
Blaise L — Google review
Great restaurant, nice staff (the lady even politely pretended to understand my French). Wery good confit de canard and other disches. Good choice of wine and beers. Very reasonable prices.
Bartłomiej Ż — Google review
If I could give this place more stars I would. We turned up early and enjoyed a carafe of wine while we decided on what to eat off the menu.We had one of the most delicious, enjoyable, relaxing meals we have had in a long time. The restaurant was busy and at times full but the service from the chef and the waitress was perfection. They made it look effortless. The waitress even spoke fluent English and Spanish making everyone feel relaxed. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic food and excellent value for money.
Carol V — Google review

Restaurant du Château is a relaxed dining spot with a terrace that serves regional specialties from spring through fall. Located in the historical district of Rocamadour, it offers robust and generous dishes reflecting the area's glorious past. The restaurant is part of Hotel du Chateau, which also features recreational amenities such as an outdoor tennis court and a seasonal outdoor pool.
Nice restaurante, tasty food and a good atmosphere. No one talks in english, so the communication could be a problem sometimes. The steak dish was divine!
Juan P — Google review
Good presentation but average taste, nothing too special. It is also a place for tourists, so quite expensive for the food quality. My husband's risotto was the same risotto flavour given to our toddler (child's meal) without much cream and fish topping. He could have just ordered the child's meal too and fish on the side.
Laurice M — Google review
The quality of the food was very poor. I had an omelette truffles. The quantity and quality of the truffles was very poor. The potatoes were frozen. The restaurant is very old (90’s probably) no intimacy.
Alexandra T — Google review
I struggled with the rating of this one... We've been going there regularly for the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. But the attitude of the restaurant boss really threw us off this time. He was particularly unfriendly, not to say rude, towards our young kids. That said, our waiter did excuse for his boss' behavior. The food was good, as always, especially the dessert (peach cream with pistachio mousse, truly amazing). and their outdoor terrasse under the trees is very enjoyable.
Xavier T — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. What’s worse, we had clearly informed the restaurant in advance that our guests does not eat lamb. Despite this, they still served a dish containing lamb without any prior notice or explanation. This lack of communication and disregard for dietary requests is completely unacceptable.
N10021211 L — Google review
In 30 years of travel and dining the 3rd worst meal ever!!! We had a French speaker in our party so no misinterpretation about the menu. Fish did not come in a lemon sauce but was in a batter crust. Except the crust as soggy and meal was not hot. No hint of lemon or flavour at all. I’ve had better fish and chips for 1/4 the price at the corner shop. La Carnard was tough as was the filet. Service was presumptuous, atmosphere pretty non existent. Avoid dining here at all costs
David B — Google review
Great place! The food is fine though a bit pricier than what I remember from previous years. I have been there multiple times and always enjoyed it a lot. Their external terrace, under the trees, is perfect for kids as they can play around very safely. Staff is also very friendly.

Thank you Manuel and his 1st class team team! I arrived late from Carcassone late around 10 pm....with my little daughter...I asked if I could get some food but you told me the restaurant was closed. I went up to my hotel room..when I came down Manuel offered me to prepare for myself and my daughter a plate of cold food like pate and saucisson + 2 wonderful dessert and I really appreciate that gesture...+ the breakfast was great and the location perfect....thank you again!!

Waited for ten minutes just to be told that the lunch service was over... Service désastreux You are absolutely right, my review is not based on the quality of your cooking. It's hard to tell when you kick people out after keeping them waiting. Cependant, tes mauveses manières méritent aussi un commentaire, même si cela est déjà difficile à changer

We only came to the restaurant so I cannot comment on the hotel We were given a friendly welcome by the staff, seated quickly and comfortably with a great view. As a hot tourist destination we wouldn’t have been surprised if the dishes were over priced of small , we were very pleasantly surprised.

UPDATE: The arrogant, hostile, and insulting response to me and to others who dare to criticize this restaurant just confirms my concerns about sending food back. They obviously wouldn't take it well, and I wouldn't be able to trust whatever was brought back to my table. The server TOLD me the skewers were available when I questioned the partially crossed-out item. I would never order a cheap cut of meat like a flank steak at a restaurant, and definitely not at those prices. That meat was inedibly full of gristle, as flank steaks can be when they're a poor cut and haven't been tenderized. How was I supposed to know I could park in a roped-off area? It was dark outside, the street is narrow, and I'm supposed to park in the middle of the street, get out of my car, and take down ropes because it's somehow my "responsibility" as the manager said below? They can't be serious. And no, I won't "remain silent" just because they can't handle valid criticism and use literary quotes as a backhanded way of insulting customers. I went to a number of fine restaurants on this trip, and this one stands out as the only one to avoid in the future. I booked this restaurant because of all of the stellar reviews that talked about the warm, friendly service, the delicious and ample food, etc. The reality was much different, though. The servers themselves were pleasant and welcoming. However, we were provided with a mediocre meal that didn't match the menu description at all. I ordered what was described on the menu as skewers of beef. It was odd, because part of the name of the dish was blacked out, but the server assured me that the dish was available that night. But what I received instead was a slab of extremely tough skirt steak that had so much gristle that I gave up eating it after just a few bites. It was too much work to eat, and the poor quality of the meat just wasn't worth the effort. This cut of steak is meant to be tenderized first, not just grilled and served as tough as shoe leather. This was NOT what I ordered, but I wasn't going to trust this kitchen enough to send it back and make me something different. I can't help but think that we were thrown lower-quality food because we were obviously tourists. By the time we were ordering coffee, there were only two other tables left with customers. The one closest to us seemed to be enjoying themselves with multiple rounds of aperitifs brought to them by the owner, so I can only assume that locals are preferred at this restaurant and are provided better food and attention by the owner, who didn't acknowledge our presence or departure. I speak a fair amount of French, and I understand it almost perfectly, so I don't think language would have been an issue here. We had some amazing meals in Rocamadour, but this definitely wasn't one of them.

Many thanks Sally for our recent stay, hotel was very warm & welcoming, we all enjoyed the food at the restaurant, Many thanks for your kind donation to the two charities we were collecting for! Can’t wait to stay again Regards Nigel Megameet 2025

The food was fine, but what happened with the wine was very disappointing. We ordered a bottle of Gaillac, but the waiter insisted we try another one, saying it was a local wine from Cahors and excellent. When it arrived, I noticed it was missing the usual plastic seal around the cork, which already seemed odd. Then, when we tasted it, the wine clearly didn’t match what was on the label — it tasted more like a cheap table wine. We mentioned it to the staff, but they charged us for it anyway. So, if you visit, be cautious when ordering wine — even if they open the bottle at the table, make sure it looks properly sealed.

A very friendly, small hotel right in the heart of Rocamadour. It has the added attraction of its own parking about 250 yards from the hotel. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also very good.

I have just come back home from a tour holiday with them and I found the personnel very helpful as when I wanted to visit the monkey forest I asked one of the staff and gave me good directions to get there, the food is of good standard as you would expect from somewhere in France, and its in a very scenic and convenient locations I would like to thank Hotel du Lion d'or for the hospitality they have provided me with during the week I stayed over, the only thing I would say is that flies seem to be quite common around the rooms but otherwise a very hospitable place to stay over for your holiday in the very picturesque town that is Rocamadour.

We booked a table and asked to be seated outside - great table with a fabulous view of the valley. Very attentive, but not intrusive service, from our waiter who made some recommendations to us that all turned out to be excellent choices. Delicious food, great quality ingredients and beautifully cooked (steak especially done to perfection). Excellent value for money and all served with a smile. We'd highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, friendly and efficient service and a perfect location.

Great place for lunch in Rocamadour! We had the persillade d’escargots and the foie gras for starter! Both amazing. Then had the cassoulet and the confit the canard. Outstanding as well. Then finished with the Fromage le Rocamadour fermier and just one dessert as we we’re completely full. Definitely recommend if in Rocamadour! Well done to all the staff

Food and Service was great. Many flies about in the restaurant, which might disrupt one's dining experience, you can also buy your cigarettes here. I absolutely loved the food for the price I paid, and thank you for the service 🙏

I am very disappointed of this place. We just sat down to chose from the menu and just a few minutes later the owner starts complaining that we were taking too much time to order. He expulsed us and started yelling at us. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant and everything is old fashioned. I was with my pregnant sister who was also aggressively insulted and left completely stressed out. The owner heard me talking Hebrew which is why he acted this way

We had the duck in goats cheese sauce and the sea bream with tagliatelle, both of which were delicious. Very friendly service and a nice setting overlooking the valley. Highly recommended location for relaxing during a trip to Rocamadour.

In the heart of Roccamadour you will find this restaurant with some traditional food options. The food is okay given the location. The staff is extremely efficient. Right after we and some tables next to us ordered we had our drinks and even the starters were brought quickly. I believe there is better quality food available elsewhere but given the location in a very popular tourist destination it's well worth eating here.

Nestled near the enchanting village of Rocamadour, Au Panorama offers a delightful dining experience that is sure to please any traveler. While the restaurant itself may not boast panoramic views, guests can step onto the terrace across the road for breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Diners rave about their meals here; many have enjoyed exquisite dishes like confit de canard and Il flottante at reasonable prices.
Brilliant restaurant... Nice ambience and the staff are delightful. English understood which is a bonus considering my French is poor. Highly recommend

Great food, great staff, great value. Lovely place to just sit and chill. We really enjoyed our evening there, many thanks 👍

Lovely waiter but run off his feet there for forgot everything. Food passable but only just. Never got asked when eating how it was, not suprised as I expect the poor staff get a lot of negative reviews. Very basic, wouldn't rush back. Nothing for vegetarian at all. Menu very limited full stop. Nice pint of ratz but that's it. Shame as with more staff and organisation could do so much better.
Jane J — Google review
Overall very happy with this place. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars on food is that neither myself or my boyfriend were given an option of how we wanted our food cooked. I had the steak and would have preferred it blue and it came well done and he had the burger and it came (very) blue when he would have preferred well done.
Joanna C — Google review
Decent value for the type of food served. Group of five with bottle of wine total came out to be 134 Euros. The canard confit was pretty good.

Looks a nice testaurant. Called in for a coffee and decided to sit outside. Sat at a table for four. Told to move to a table for two even though there must have been 15-20 empty tables by the waitress. Other couples were sat on four seater tables. 🤷🏻 We left and sat on a table for four and had a nice coffee opposite. Average score for food as didn’t stay long enough.

Great place to stop for a pint of the local beer (Ratz), good service and nice outdoor seating.
MJ M — Google review
The galette was good and fairly priced. Service lowlight was forgetting out starter (and we did not taste their local cheese as a result of that), while the highlight was the flexibility in letting us keep our car parked on their own carpark while we visited the sanctuary.

"Envies de Terroir" is a modern brasserie located in the heart of Rocamadour village, offering a gourmet stopover experience. The restaurant focuses on quality and supports local producers, resulting in exceptional cuisine. The menu features a selection of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful view from the terrace while savoring delicious meals. The friendly staff provides excellent service, making it a recommended dining option for those exploring the historic town of Rocamadour.
A wet Saturday in Rocamadour. We picked this restaurant and were pleased with our choice. First impression, the decor, which is bright and clean and stylish (other restaurants appeared dark and gloomy). There is a terrace for outdoor dining with a view, unfortunately, the weather was dreadful so we ate inside. The staff are polite and pleasant, there was plentiful choices on the menu and the food was tasty and well presented. Lastly, the price was right - not cheap but certainly not expensive for what we had. Nice place 👍

The town was crowded, but good quick service. Waiter was welcoming and happy to chat in English. Simple but tasty menu, enjoyed my confit de canard. Nice terrace with views of the valley and the busy street.

I always wrestle with how to express my views on a restaurant that is barely average, or worse, below average. It can sound harsh and judgemental and I can sometimes wonder if I’m being too tough. But in this case I think average would be generous, in view of the experience we had today. Which is a shame, as the setting is quite lovely. Service was ok, except they forgot our coffees (but they were still on the bill when I got it!), and the house wine was acceptable. However, in view of the prices, the food did not make the grade. The giblets on my salad were barely cooked, while my duck main was a bit over cooked. My partner seemed happy with her choices, but if you took away the lettuce salads on all the dishes, serves were pretty average size. We had actually chosen the set menu at €26.50 each. I have had much better for less everywhere else on our current trip in France. I had not read the other Trip Advisor reviews on this establishment before we went there. I wished I had as they do give a pretty good overview of what to expect here.

Creperie
French restaurant
The La Maison de Famille crêperie is a charming and delightful place to enjoy a delicious crêpe. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the small water dish for my dog was a welcome addition in this hot weather. The locale is also beautiful in an attractive setting.
A great find for a lunchtime. Excellent food and inexpensive too. A variety of galets, salads and much more. Plus a great value dish of the day - (plats du jour). Excellent service too. Nice shady terrace with water vapouriser and air-con interior.

We stopped by for lunch while visiting Rocamadour and were immediately offered a table on their nicely shaded terrace. The savory crepes we chose were all delicious, and I enjoyed sampling the local cheese. Service was also very friendly and attentive and our less than perfect French was not a problem at all. The only negative was that the flies were numerous and troublesome, so it was hard to feel relaxed. It would be great if they could find a way to control them a little better. Otherwise, it was a lovely lunch.
Gina P — Google review
The pros: The salmon crepe was very good. The coconut ice cream was incredible. The cons: One of us sat first, and ordered the crepe. When the second person sat down, we were told that there was a €3 fee for sharing food. Keep in mind, the place was completely empty. Instead of leaving, we asked if we could order a coffee instead. They came back from the kitchen and said it wasn't possible. We ended up ordering ice cream to avoid paying the fee. After agreeing on the ice cream order, they removed the second set of silverware, just to make sure we weren't sharing the crepe. It's things like this that make a place not as enjoyable, and the difference from us adding them as a recommendation on our travel website or not. Very sad about it, because they have potential but ruin it with their attitude.
Scratch M — Google review
Very abrupt person who was in charge! Chased one group of five out of the restaurant because they wanted to sit together! Shouted at a couple sat at a table for four to move to a side table! Shouted at us ‘have you ordered’ to be honest if we hadn’t we would probably have left! Most tables were empty, I can understand why! Food when it came was poor quality, from ingredients to taste, the accompanying bread was so dried up it was clear it had been cut since early morning and not only unenticing but inedible.
Catherine S — Google review
Came here with my family for a lunch. Asked the waitress if one of the salads was gluten free and was met with such an awful and hostile attitude by the waitress for no reason and she gave me an awful look. I was honestly shocked by her sudden change in mood, it was so bizarre. Food was okay but overpriced. Won’t be back

Traditional savoury galettes, salads and sweet crepes make a great light lunch sitting on the terrace of this restaurant in the heart of the old town. Really friendly efficient staff.

What a shame as I was looking forward to have a nice crepe here but when I walked in not knowing that the creperie was closed, the manager/owner there was cleaning the floor he told me off for making the floor dirty even though there was not a visible sign saying that they were closed, I really enjoyed my stay around Rocamadour so it’s a shame that I did not manage to get here as I was looking to try out one of their crepes, my feedback would be for the owner/manager to talk to customers in a more respectful manner when something like this occurs going forward

Edit: unfortunately the ice cream owner pressed the wrong button on the pinmachine... (€10 suddenly became €18 by pressing the 8 instead of the 0 under it). Orher than that. Great place. Hosts couldn't be more accommodating. The food was amazing. And to top it all, you would have to pay a lot for the view anywhere else. Please ignore negative comments. The restaurant and the experience are a triumph. We paid €130. Main course for two and dessert for one Lady, who loves chocolate, three cariffs of wine, and two Kir plus a tip.

Excellent meal in a fantastic location overlooking the old town. Take the road past the Belle Vue and the Belvedere restaurants and discover this restaurant tucked out of view 50 metres to walk. There is a car park. . The waitress, probably the owner, was very friendly and spoke excellent English. We were welcomed onto the terrace and given one of the best tables. We ordered a Kir, and the fixed price menu which is 28 euro for 3 courses. 3 choices of main and 3 choices of starters plus desert. All well cooked and a most enjoyable meal. There is more choice a la carte. A bottle of very good wine was 20 euro. I don't understand some of the reviews I have read here, the restaurant is excellent and fair value. Definitely not fast food!

Taking the view from this place and it will rated 1. The food is not tasty yet expensive, we paid 58 euro for menu dejour that was suppose to be entrepreneurs, plat and desert. The called the entrepreneurs foie gra but the lever was not there only some kind egg yolk, taste was really bad. The plat was duck breast and that's all. Desert was ignored by the team. Summary it was our mistake to arrive late to the restaurant their kitchen was closed.

What a terrible place with terrible people. The view is indeed breathtaking, but this bistro is absolutely NOT worth it! The people just drove us away for no reason. They said they were closed, but the people who were there after us were still allowed to order. The whole terrace was still full! I recommend to just drive onto their parking, because there is a nice place to take pictures and then move to the terrace next to the Amadour hotel. The view is perhaps not as breathtaking, but the staff is WELL friendly and what you can buy there is extremely tasty! In short, I absolutely do NOT recommend this place!

Restaurant L'Atelier d'Imbert offers a pleasant setting and a rather successful meal with fresh products, although they could be more elaborately prepared. The attentive and delicate service adds to the enjoyable experience. The buffet-style dining may come as a surprise, but the concept of having meats cooked to order at the fireplace is quite appealing. The decor is described as simple and calm with a beautiful view and good music.
We had a nice dinner here. Food was good, service was very friendly and accommodating. Ambience was fine - not the best, but not bad, especially considering the limited dining options in the area. Two menu options for kids (one bad, one good): chicken nuggets were a little sad-looking and could have been much better as freshly fried pieces of chicken, so this was a big disappointment; and fish with risotto which was both delicious and could have easily been an adult’s meal with its quality and sophistication! Overall good value for the price.

Extremely long service! 45 minutes before someone came to take the drink order… There were people there, you might say, not even! The room was barely half full... 2 incompetent waiters making noise and customers leaving one by one unhappy! We only had one dish (given the time), the duck breast, which was quite good. In addition, we were full at reception the next day (we were staying at the hotel) and the receptionist told us that it was because of the manager who only wanted to make "numbers" and who was accepting more customers that they couldn't receive any... funny explanation to customers! No understanding on his part, no commercial gesture. In addition !! He makes a mistake at the TPE and asks us to pay a higher amount. To conclude, €42 for 2 dishes and mediocre service! For the same price in town, main course, dessert, drink and good atmosphere! I strongly advise against it. (Original) Si vous voulez manger en moins de 2 heures, passez votre chemin !!! Le Belvédère offers a fair-priced dining experience with a bit of waiting time for service. Despite some communication issues and forgetfulness from the servers, the stunning view and quality of the dishes make up for it. The manageress is known for her exceptional service, making guests feel welcomed and cared for during their stay. The restaurant serves excellent food at reasonable prices, accompanied by decent ale.
We arrived and hadn't booked a table, but we're shown to a fine table overlooking the valley and castle, which was stunning. We both chose the fillet of cod on mashed potato, carrots, and samphire. The dish was perfectly executed, well balanced, delicious, and very healthy. We shared a bottle of white wine and a large bottle of water, and a double espresso was had to finish. The setting and food are stunning, and the ambience is perfect. Service was attentive and not rushed, and the restaurant and facilities were very clean. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended when visiting the beautiful medieval city of Rocamadour.

Well presented tasty food. Service was a little perfunctory but decent. Starters were great, Fish mains were good, beef very good, my lamb chop less so. Desserts were nice. Reasonable value overall with a fabulous view of the valley and the ancient city of Rocamadour.

We made a stop here for a quick coffee and the staff were super hospitable and super nice. The view from the restaurant is amazing, you can see Rocamadour clearly from the spot with shades. Wish we had time to have a lunch maybe hopefully next time. You guys should definitely make a stop here for a good coffee stop.

Restaurant staff tried to be nice but where completly lost althoughthey where some 4, seemed like only oen was doing an effort. We waited around 1 hour. The onion soup was terrible, unsuitable for a restaurant this level. the meat plate was quite nice. Overall assuming you get in and served would be nice.

Very tasty food with a good portion size, and considering the touristy area, relatively reasonably priced. Incredible views of Rocamadour from the restaurant as well. Would recommend.

Stunning location, unbelievable views. Quality of hotel far better than the rating suggest. Don't think I've ever waked up to a better view, highly recommended.
Mark G — Google review
Poor service, initially asked to reserve a table on the terrace next to barrier for unobstructed view of the village for lunch the following day, told tables could not be reserved. Came back short time later as these tables were free to eat that evening only to be told they had already been reserved. What a contradiction. Against my better judgement decided to eat at this restaurant, which I later regretted. The wine was pleasing, first course, trotters was lovely, after a good start it went downhill. The cassoulet with confit of duck was poor, the sauce was tasteless, the duck was overcooked and dry, also just the drumstick not the full leg. Elsewhere I’ve always had a full leg. The bread for the first course was lovely and soft, the subsequent bread was dry on one side. Obviously due to the speed of the service, the food appears not to be cooked fresh for each customer. On reflection it’s the location that sells this restaurant not the food as by it nature it’s passing trade and I doubt if anyone eats there more than once, I certainly won’t be a returning client and won’t put this restaurant on my recommendation list for anyone I meet as a traveler.

Booked for two in person with our two vizslas.... wow did we feel uncomfortable and unwelcome when we visited. We were seated, then moved next to a group but they said "no! No no no!" when they saw us and the dogs. We then moved back to the original seats. The waitress then sat a family next to us who then saw the dogs and fled! I think perhaps if you are not mindful of your customers' sensibilities, don't allow dogs in. We would understand that. Also, the waitress took drinks orders one by one, disappeared got the drinks (bottles of wine, cocktails etc) so 20 minute wait for a drink and food order and then the food appeared literally 3 minutes later. We paid 82.50 euros for a course meal (ok, with a bottle of wine) and we left within 35 minutes. Really weird, uncomfortable and awkward. Service needs work.

Really great friendly service here. We ate here 2 nights in a row. We didn't want a fancy expensive dinner, just good food at a decent price. Their pizzas are excellent. I had their vegetarian pizza. The next night I had their fettuccini Carbonara style pasta dish with truffle Cream. YUM. Again, not refined dining, but good quality dishes served with friendship and good wine. Tonight, for my digestive I tried a special (local?) Old Prune Brandy that with just a little splash of water was divine, nector of the gods.

Terrible service. About 10 staff circling but only one is allowed to take orders. We were there 20 minutes with no water, let alone wine. The rest of the staff just watch you getting increasingly frustrated and say not their job. The woman who took orders went to tables who arrived last, first. Finally, we ordered and there was absolutely zero flexibility on pizza toppings. We asked for an exact menu pizza without Parmesan shavings and she said impossible to make any changes at all. Bureaucratic hellhole. Not a relaxing place to eat. Go elsewhere.

I've done quite a bit of traveling in France, and this has, by far, been one of my fave places to stay. It's lovely, the people who run it are so kind and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful . The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend a stay here. We even decided to stay over an extra night! Who doesn't love a castle stay?!

We stayed at Les Vieilles Tours for one night when we visited Rocamadour and Gouffre de Padirac. We had a warm welcome from the owners of the hotel, which is a family run. The entire family was so helpful to us, especially that our car broke down and they came and collected us in the middle of the night after we visited Rocamadour. They also helped us find someone to fix it and they did all of this out of respect for their guests. At the checkout they didn't want to accept one cent extra for their time and fuel to rescue us. We are very grateful for what they did to us and made our stay more enjoyable despite our particular situation. The hotel is 10 min away by car from Cite Medieval, located on a large property on top of the hill with a spectacular view and a nice pool. Our rooms were quite big and we had plenty of space for 3 adults and a child. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices nicely presented sourced from local producers and home made pancakes and crepes. One day we will definitely return to Les Vieilles Tours as there is so much to visit in the area.

Nestled in the picturesque region of Quercy, Logis Hôtel le Belvédère is a casual property offering simple rooms and a range of amenities. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool and a restaurant with stunning valley views. Conveniently located near family attractions such as Fauconnerie Le Rocher des Aigles, this accommodation is just a 10-minute walk from the center of Rocamadour.
Stayed here at the hotel. Great views of Rocamadour itself from our room and the restaurant terrace. Found the staff to be very helpful. Enjoyed the evening meal too and it was noticeable that some customers had come in just for the meal rather than being hotel guests. Will stay again when we're in the area

After a full day of exploring Rocamadour, we stumbled across Le Belvédère at the top of the town — and what a find. The views are absolutely stunning, with a perfect vantage point overlooking the castle as it juts out from the cliffside. It was the ideal spot to rehydrate and reflect. Service was friendly and attentive, the cocktail and wine selection was solid, and prices were very reasonable — especially for a location with such a panoramic setting. As for the food? Just okay. Not bad, but not the standout here. Come for the view, stay for a drink, and soak in the atmosphere.

This is not a review of the food, as I did not feel comfortable eating here. The restaurant has a terrible fly infestation, the large buzzing species of fly. I must have counted 30-40 flies in the dining room. They were on the walls, curtains, floor, table. For me that is an indication of a health or cleanliness issue. Hopefully they find the cause.

Beautiful location, the room was great and the views were amazing and the menu at the restaurant was delicious. Hôtel Beau Site Notre Dame is a charming 19th-century venue located in Rocamadour, offering country-chic rooms and a panoramic French restaurant. Situated just steps away from Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park and Ascenseur de Rocamadour, this hotel provides easy access to nearby attractions such as Padirac Cave and Merveilles Cave.
Stayed one night in this lovely hotel at the beginning of a cycling trip around the Dordogne area. Well situated with beautiful views and close to the local sites. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with lovely showers. The restaurant was just across the road and the food quality and service was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. This hotel comes equipped with a lift although some rooms do have internal steps so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Saveena P — Google review
The hotel is very well located within Rocamadour, most rooms having a great view on the mountainside monastery. The rooms were recently renovated so the showers and amenities were perfectly suitable. The downsides were the hotel had limited access to parking spots, no refrigerator in the room and the double beds are two single beds stuck together… which can be a frustrating couple experience. Hotel staff was kind and helpful with plenty of room service options. Can’t really put netflix on tv, but that shouldn’t be why you are in Rocamadour. The hotel is a few minutes away from the monastery and main walking trail as well as plenty of cute local shops. Prime location in the city.

Definitely recommend to stay at this hotel! Centrally located with walking distance all over Rocamadour! Staff were very helpful during our stay, polite and professional! The hotel is pet friendly which was a plus as we had our cat with us, although there is an extra charge of 15 euros per night per pet. We didn’t get to stay in the main old building and were given a room in the other modern building across the road. Our room was alright, fairly clean and modern but could have been better. Be aware that it’s a bit confusing on how to get to the hotel as you will need to drive through crowd and it’s not easy especially in the afternoon when everyone is on the streets, so read instructions the hotel sends carefully! Also there is no parking, only 3 parking spaces outside of the hotel for unloading your luggage and no one is allowed to park there overnight. Otherwise all was good 👍🏻

Located in the heart of Rocamadour, En bas d'la Rue is a great place to go for lunch. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The service is also friendly, so you'll be treated like family. If you're looking for a special meal or just want to enjoy a nice day out, En bas d'la Rue is definitely the place to go!
One of the most reasonably priced prix-fixe lunch menus in the town. The portion sizes are huge, and the food is delicious! The view from the terrace is lovely. You do have to watch out for bugs if you are dining out there - I was finishing up the last bite of my starter when a couple flies barreled into the vinaigrette and got stuck there :-/ can't pin that on the restaurant, though, it just comes with being near all the greenery and nature!

Plentiful fish in the fish salad but a bit over-dressed. Desserts were good - particularly the crème anglaise which came with the chocolat demi-cuit (chocolate brownies, to the layperson). If you visit the loo, take your own soap. Great views from the terrace. A bit cheaper than some of the other restaurants in Rocamadour; you pays your money and takes your choice. Friendly staff and prompt service.

Only went in for drinks in late afternoon. Place was empty, but the guy who seemed to be the main server was completely disinterested. The owner (we assume) had to tell him to serve us, even though we were standing right in front of him at the bar! The rest of the staff were nicer, guess we just got unlucky
Nick D — Google review
The food was fresh, but it's definitely a touristy place: absolutely no substitution, steak in kids menu overcooked. But the salads were good and large.

Gave it a go… should have listened to the reviews. Steak was like chewing gum, didn’t eat it. Chewing gum tastes better. Staff didn’t even care it was bad… just ignored it.

zero stars do not exist. Never ever eat here, and if you do do not in your lifetie take a legume salad. This consists of a large plate of too many watery peas (those you get from a can), too many watery green beans (those you get from a can), and watery brocolli (those were boiled and kept in water all day). The best of it was the three leafs of green salad (no preparation done) and there are nuts on this (not on the menu). Service is very poor. avoid.

Resto bistrot l’Estanquet is a funky and informal restaurant in Rocamadour, offering creative dishes and afternoon ice cream. The place is known for accommodating allergies and intolerances to gluten and dairy products. The friendly staff provides excellent service, making it a must-visit spot. One of the highlights is the 1-kilogram boneless ribeye steak, perfectly cooked to meet high standards.
We ate dinner here after touring the town of Rocamadour. It was pretty crowded at 7:30 and we had a reservation so we're seated right away at a high top table near the sidewalk. Plat du jour was well prepared and we enjoyed every dish. The server was friendly, but seemed to be stretched due to serving too many tables. It didn't affect us as we were not in a hurry. Nice outdoor seating area with a modern vibe.
Douglas H — Google review
We picked this bistro due to location and the high reviews. It is hard for me to write a seemingly bad review, but I will make the best of it. I ordered the veal with risotto and mushroom sauce. I received a pork loin chop with some sort of legumes and roasted potato and carrot. I questioned the server as to what it was and she stated the it was pork, then another server stepped in and claimed it to be veal. The second server ask if I didn’t like it, and I stated it was not what I order, the veal. He insured me it was. I wasn’t born yesterday and know the difference between veal with risotto and mushroom sauce vs pork with legumes. I will add photos of the item. Other than this, service was good. (except for getting the order wrong, and then not taking responsibility for the problem). They still charged me for the item and I received no apology and no attempt was made to correct this. It saddens me as I would do everything I could to make it right. The young person was honest until pressured by the older person, I feel sorry for her as she wanted to do the right thing but her piers told her not to. I will not go to this restaurant again, they think they can get away with downgrading a meal, something I would never do. Although the staff was friendly, they have done the wrong thing.
Mike M — Google review
The restaurant is very well located and very easy to get to. We ordered Beef Entrecote and Duck Leg. For dessert we ordered Burnt Sugar Cream with Pistacio and a French Cheese Dessert. The Duck Leg and desserts were excellent, but the Beef Entrecote was an unpleasant experience from two points of view: 1) I ordered it to be done medium and I initially received it very, very raw. After I asked for it to be kept on the grill a little longer, it really came medium done. 2) It was very, very fatty, which made me leave almost half of it on the plate (practically impossible to eat that fat!). Another minus that I would like to underline is the fact that our table was cleared away a very long time after we finished eating the main courses, so the dessert came very late!
Stelian V — Google review
The best steak I've had in France so far. Before this, I had given up on steaks cooked by local chefs, regardless of homemade or Bib Gourmand. All the steaks were overcooked. The ones I could actually enjoy were prepared by Italian or American chefs. Luckily, the doneness and texture of the steak at this place finally meet the standard. 🥩1-kilogram boneless ribeye steak. The menu states it's for two people, but the normal portion for one person is ard 180-300g. The 1 kg serving is probably meant for big eaters. As it turned out, two normal eaters couldn't finish it all. This dish comes with salad and fries as sides, so it's just right for 3-4 people. The steak is cooked to perfection, seared on the outside, tender on the inside. It's presented in the form of ribeye, sizzling on a preheated iron plate as it's brought to your table. For carnivores, there's nothing more satisfying than the sound of sizzling beef on an iron plate. The steak is medium, with a beautiful pink center perfectly sealed by the caramelized outer layer. It's lightly salted, enhancing the meat's flavor. No need for sauce; the seasoning is just right. It's a testament to the quality of the beef. Every bite is a delight. The only downside is that there were flies flying around in the dining area, which affected the dining experience. I hope the restaurant can maintain better cleanliness.
LongEr — Google review
A pretty nice restaurant. Revisited this restaurant for the Canard confit. It's the best as far as I'm concerned. Tried their new dish called the pork cheek. Looks pretty normal but it taste superb. It's soft and flavorful. Not regretting the choice. But one thing to take note is to call and make a reservation before arrival. It's always full!

A very nice hotel with great service and great food. We came in big group and everything was taken care of perfectly here. It is modern with guest-rooms on the first floor without a lift. But the staircase was large. Rooms are nicely air-conditioned. It was 28-32 degrees during our visit. We had two dinners here and the meals were perfectly prepared. A real delicious fine dining. Their cabillaud and rice was so tasty I ate even the last grain of rice. The gateau aux noix was moist and crumble and had such a delightful flavor and aroma. Not just a typical dry and hard texture walnut cakes that are sold as souvenirs in this region. Guest toilets are nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and did make you feel welcome here. Breakfast was continental and their croissants were divine. Highly recommended both for the hotel and restaurant.

Had a pleasant one night stay. The pool is not heated but during the afternoon when the sun is out, it was a refreshing dip. The room was clean and nicely furnished, however the bathroom is tiny. The moment we stepped into this restaurant, everything felt extremely rushed. My father had to quickly step outside to let our dog out while we started looking at the menu. Not even five minutes later, the server began pressuring us to place our order. When we politely said we needed a bit more time, especially since my father would be back any secon, she acted like it was the end of the world and a major inconvenience. Her attitude was shockingly rude, so we decided to leave. As we walked out, I couldn’t help but express how disappointing it was that she lacked even the most basic manners and professionalism. Instead of taking it seriously, she and the staff laughed, which only made the experience more awkward and unpleasant. This place is clearly a tourist trap, and I’m genuinely relieved we didn’t waste our money here. We drove just 10 minutes further and found a charming little restaurant tucked away in the beautiful countryside, such a night-and-day difference.

The Cafe du Chateau is an atmospheric cafe in the heart of Rockamadour with stunning views of the Rockamadour Valley. The Cafe was frequented by locals and tourists alike and the quality of service was superb. The taste of the food was also very satisfying.
Have eaten here a number of times over last few years when visiting the area. The food and service has always been excellent. We had lunch. Shown to the outdoor seating area under shade. All clean and well spaced out. Drinks arrived swiftly along with iced water and bread. Plenty of choice on menu. We ordered duck, burger and desert. Tasty, good size and good price. Relaxing place to eat. Service very good, friendly and with a smile. We will return.

Wonderful food at an unassuming restaurant at the top of Rocadamour. Beautiful patio (though watch out for the flies). We got the Provencale stew (one of the daily specials) and it was incredible: flavorful and complex.

Nice café, good location and friendly people. I just had coffee, which was nice, and cold drinks so no review of the food although of course they do food. Cheeky photo of the lower town taken just before the cafe

Burger not cooked and raw and cold, sent it back which then took 15mins to return which was the original burger reheated and it was still raw, not impressed at all. The picture is the reheated attempt.

I visited here for a month. All the staff were professionals, and kind. Especially, I talked to one of the staff and she was always doing her best in her job and working with pride. The service was very satisfactory, and the taste was superb. I don't know why people aren't satisfied with the reviews below. It was the best cafe I ever visited in Rockamadour. I want to visit again. It is close to the best view point of the Rockamadour, a cafe that you must visit.

This place is great if you want close parking and access to the Chateau and the elevator down to down. Do not expect good service. It was bad at best. The food was mediocre although the lamb was very good. Shame the ladies who served at lunch didn’t make any kind of effort. I’d eat elsewhere if you can.

Rude, leave you sitting at tables only to tell you that you can't order food. Tables dirty, wet and unclean added to which rubbish was present from previous two customers which we had to move ourselves. Do yourself a favour and eat in the town, a totally different experience. Incidentally I old gave 1 star as zero was not available!!!!

"Le Petit Lotois" is highly recommended by visitors of the countryside farm campsite for its excellent delivery service and magnificent duck breast paste. The ice creams served at the establishment are described as super good, and visitors appreciate the kind and friendly staff. Whether you're staying nearby or just passing through, this charming spot seems to be a delightful culinary destination.
(Translated by Google) We were there at the end of June beginning of July and the ice cream was super good, we slept not far away so how can we say that we only ate ice cream once 🤤 The person who took care of it was really very nice and friendly, nothing to say. He even had a little piece of ice cream tasted to see if they really liked it before taking the perfume ☺ (Original) Ont y as était en fin juin début juillet et les glaces super bonne, ont as dormi pas loin donc comment dire qu'on as pas mangé qu'une seule fois de la glace 🤤 La personne qui s'en occuper était vraiment très gentil et aimable, rien à dire . Il a même fait goûter un petit bout de glace pour savoir si ont aimée vraiment avant de prendre le parfum ☺

(Translated by Google) The products are good in terms of flavors but it remains a tourist fast food… much more bread than garnish, the steak was a thousand times overcooked and be careful, there is only one scoop of ice cream in the ice creams /bubble waffle. So, yes, it was very good, but a little more ice cream would have been fine!

(Translated by Google) Really expensive burgers for the quality Little topping for a lot of bread (not exceptional) The rosties (potato pancakes) are extra, even more expensive, and are bland, nothing exceptional Simply a tourist trap Quite disappointed...

(Translated by Google) It's just an ice cream parlor, there's no burger. And should update the schedules (Original) C’est que un glacier, y’as pas de burger. Et faudrais mettre à jour les horaires
