When I come to Cerdanya, this restaurant in Puigcerda is a must on my list. They have a daily menu, including weekends, with typical local food, such as the 'trinxat' which I highly recommend as a starter. Then, as a main course you have a lot of options like paella, fideua, fish and meat. The portions are very generous. The best part for me is the dessert, homemade dessert. I recommend the 'Crema Catalana' or the flans with different flavors. I will keep coming here.

In all honesty this was one of the best pizzas / meals I’ve had in my life, and I don’t say this lightly. It was such an experience!

Hidden away from everyone, is a little restaurant with the most unique and amazing pizzas. Trying the black truffle pizza was an actual experience. With some burrata on the side and a classical tiramisu for dessert, this dinner was one of the greatest we had in a long time. Even the service was phenomenal, with Fabian himself doing all the talking and cooking for it’s customers. Makes sense now, why the restaurant is known for having a world champion pizza chef.

What an incredible wine and tapas bar. Probably the best I’ve had in Spain so far. Waiter was incredibly friendly and patient with our mix of Spanish, Catalan and English. Highly recommend!!

I had the four cheese gnocchi, my boyfriend had the mushroom and cheese pizza, and everyone else had pesto pasta. The food was pretty good, but the reason I’m rating it five stars is because of our server Maria. We are from the US, I only know bare-bones Spanish and the others in my party knew none at all, and Maria only spoke a little bit of English. The language barrier meant that ordering took a really long time and a lot of stress, but she was so kind and gracious regardless. She managed to be friendly, informative and answer all of our questions. Gracias, Maria! Our dinner was wonderful because of you.

I like to be fare and, despite I usually like this place very much, today they were far too slow. It is true they had only one waitress to serve all the tables (very good one by the way) and may be they got much more people than expected for a weekday nitght, but they should have reacted in due time. I use to order "patatas bravas" as starter on every Spanish restaurant I go and thanks to it I get an idea of the culinary level of the place. At La Taverna we got very simple fried potatoes with some kind of untastefuln pink souce. Nothing relevant. We took the week-day menu afterwards and actully the experience actually improved slightly: for 15€ you can choose among 3 starters, 3 mains and a variety of home made desserts. My review refers to the Sal i Oli gastrobar downstairs, not the main restaurant. The food is excellent and the menu/carta is just the right degree of original without being too 'disruptive', however the service is somewhat unprofessional. During my last visit, the waiters forgot to serve two of our dishes, and the ones that did come out sometimes came with the wrong silverware - like a very chewy entraña that could really benefit from a sharper knife. If they improved that aspect and also started accepting Ticket Restaurant, it would be a 5/5 rating.

This tiny restaurant/bar (seats about 15 people?) overlooks the town square and looked authentic. The staff were friendly and we got by in simple English. The potatoes (patatas bravas) with foie gras and truffle was delicious - the foie gras was very sparse and probably didn't add much and the dish is a little expensive at 9 euros. The calamari was disappointingly dry and bland (also about 8-9 euros). They made us hot chocolates (2.5 euros) though not on the menu. Worth trying out those patatas...
