New American restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Marblehead, 5 Corners Kitchen is a modern French bistro that beautifully marries elegance with a relaxed coastal vibe. With its stunning marble bar and expansive windows, this charming eatery offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying exquisite dishes. The menu features housemade charcuterie and delightful seafood options like oysters, alongside other French-inspired fare infused with local flavors.
5 Corners is definitely one of the Best restaurants in Marblehead. The ambiance was perfect, with a combination of great food and amazing staff who was very attentive. The place is Beautiful with dimmed lighting and an elegant decor. It is pretty pricey but well worth it.
Crackman J — Google review
5 corners was recommended by a friend as having exceptional food. What was exception was the atmosphere and what was very good was the service. The food is good just not exceptional. The Chicken Liver Pate and the Brussels sprout appetisers were excellent. The French onion soup and oysters decent. The Entrées ranged from very good (Sole and steak Frites) to the good ( Duck confit and Chicken. The CK Burger was ordinary and I guess while we enjoyed our time together, we all left feeling that for the price charged it was not quite up to the mark.
Subin J — Google review
We ate here during our first night and had a wonderful time! The place itself is beautifully decorated on the inside and out and the ambiance was great. We had a reservation and didn't wait for our table at all. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations especially when it came to our wines! For food, we ordered the Steak Frites, Brussel Sprouts, and French Onion Soup for dinner, as well as some sticky toffee pudding and affogato. Everything we had was great! We loved our over all experience and recommend coming here if your staying in the area!
Falyn E — Google review
Really great food!! The restaurant is also super cute and upscale. They made me a delicious nonalcoholic margarita. We got the $2 oysters (only available 5-6) and I got the grey sole. It was delicious and the vegetable pairings it came with were really refreshing! We also got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was absolutely divine.
Jessica D — Google review
I was told by multiple people this was the best restaurant in Marblehead, and I am inclined to agree. We had an absolutely fantastic meal here the other night. The cocktails, the wine, and the food were all excellent. We started with the tartare, which was wonderful with the fried wontons. We then had the duck confit (light and citrusy), pork chop (smoky and juicy), and the skate wing (superb). All three of us enjoyed our entrees immensely. We then had the sticky toffee pudding, which you cannot go wrong with. The staff was so helpful and attentive, and the ambiance is chill and clean. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend it.
Benjamin H — Google review
What a very nice experience. Great layout, attentive and thoughtful management, and good food and drink. I had dinner here with friends and from the very first greeting until the check was presented was nothing but a pleasure. The food was exceptional. I wish I had better pictures to do it justice.

Hidden away in Marblehead, Ma is this high quality French restaurant. This is the second time my wife and I have dined here, and it certainly won’t be the last! The steak frites are our go-to. They never disappoint.
Axel Z — Google review
Incredible food!!! I absolutely love the design of the restaurant and how beautiful it is!! Had the salmon, oysters, grilled Ceasar salad, and the pasta. You must try the escargot and olive oil gelato!!! Have been here several times and have never had a bad meal! @forever.a.nomad

Greek restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Elia Taverna Marblehead is a charming family-owned Greek restaurant dedicated to delivering outstanding service and high-quality dishes. If you're craving authentic Greek cuisine made from fresh ingredients without breaking the bank, this spot is a must-visit. Diners rave about the delectable appetizers like octopus, zucchini chips, and fried cheese, while the lamb shank has garnered particular praise for its rich flavor.
We had an incredible experience at Elia Taverna! The authentic Greek cuisine was outstanding, with every dish bursting with flavor and freshness. But what truly made our evening special was the warm and sincere service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like part of the family. Their passion for sharing Greek hospitality and culture shone through in every aspect of our visit. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Thank you for a truly unforgettable night!

Rating: ★★★★★ Elia Taverna is a delightful addition to Marblehead’s dining scene, offering an authentic Greek culinary experience that transports you straight to the Mediterranean. The moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for a memorable meal. The menu is a testament to traditional Greek flavors, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Standout dishes include the Grilled Octopus, tender and perfectly seasoned, and the Lamb Chops, which are succulent and flavorful. Vegetarian options like the Spanakopita and Dolmades are equally impressive, showcasing the kitchen’s versatility. Complementing the food is a well-curated selection of Greek wines and inventive cocktails, such as the Aegean Breeze, which pairs beautifully with the cuisine. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to guide you through the menu, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Greek cuisine or new to its delights, Elia Taverna offers a genuine and satisfying experience that stands out in Marblehead. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere.

I’ll be thinking about this meal for awhile! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Great service. Only complaint was the serving sizes are huge! We wanted to sample a couple appetizers plus our mains, and we ended up with way more food than we could eat. The moussaka was delicious but an absolutely gigantic portion—great if you can take it to-go and eat for lunch the next day!
Amelia J — Google review
Simply the best Greek food I’ve ever had! The appetizers; octopus, cauliflower, zucchini chips and the fried cheese were super good. You must try the lamb shank. It was delicious. Dessert was amazing too. The service was amazing.
Mohsen H — Google review
We walked in without a reservation and were immediately offered a spot at the bar table, where only two seats were available. The bartender provided quick service, and the waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and authentically rooted in Greek tradition. As we were settling our bill, the owner stopped by our table. She was incredibly humble and took the time to chat with us about her business and her family, which made the experience feel even more personal. We felt genuinely welcomed and were so glad we stumbled upon this Greek restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it to any lover of Greek cuisine.

We had a great meal last evening at Elia Taverna. The staff was very welcoming and offered very attentive service. Water was refilled several times and delicious warm bread with olive dip was served right away and refilled two more times for us.Having been to Greece several times over the past 35 years, I am very familiar with the tastes of Greek cuisine. I will say Elia Taverna is very authentic, fresh and delicious. The spinach pie was perfect with a great homemade phyllo. We loved the chips with tzaziki and the gyro and skewers with pork were great. Desserts are not to be missed. Very authentic. Can’t wait to return. So happy to have this amazing Greek restaurant in Marblehead.

Thai restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Marblehead, Massachusetts, Le Ros Thai Asian Cuisine & Bar has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. This delightful eatery offers an inviting ambiance where diners can savor authentic Thai dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. With options for dine-in, takeout, and delivery, Le Ros caters to all dining preferences. Since its opening, this relatively new gem has garnered attention for its fresh ingredients and mouthwatering flavors.
I ordered pickup and was pleasantly surprised given the affordability. The way they serve their takeout is beautiful and practical. Their food is delicious and they have great vegetarian options. The server who gave me my order was very polite.
Meret L — Google review
I had an average take out meal from here last night. I ordered the Tom Kha soup (one of my absolute faves), and it was borderline sweet. I’m used to it having a touch of heat to balance the sweetness of the coconut out. It wasn’t something I would order again. I then also got the spicy udon noodles with chicken, which was “fine” but non-memorable. I may give it one more try, but I was less than impressed sadly.
Benjamin H — Google review
Fantastic food. The green curry was amazing with a perfect blend of all the spices. Loved their rice presentation. The vegetables gyoza and shumai was pretty good too. The service was splendid with a welcoming atmosphere. A must visit restaurant in Marblehead.
Enakshi C — Google review
The service is outstanding. The wait staff is all very sweet. My husband and I were on vacation with our 4-month-old, who for the first time slept through the meal, allowing us to enjoy each other's company for the first time in months. Our candle blew out on our table, and within moments one of the wait staff came over to relight it and to say "I won't give up! I want to make sure it's romantic." This attention to detail absolutely made our night! The food was so delicious too!
Amber R — Google review
I ordered Drunken Noodles last night for delivery. Upon inspection we realized there were almost no noodles. Everything else was fine. When I called today to inform them of the mistake and asked for a side order of noodles only, I was informed that they would only replace them if I took pictures and dropped them off before replacing noodles. Instead of correcting an obvious oversight, they demanded my other half take a picture first and then make 2 trips. All of this over noodles. They should be ashamed of subjecting us to this aggravation.
James M — Google review
I had an average meal here. I picked it up, and it was ready on time. The curry puffs just didn't have enough flavor or heat. Fried egg rolls were good, but Ginger Tofu entree was disappointing. Rubbery tofu, and only a few slivers of ginger, and the sauce didn't taste gingery. Agree the rice quantity is skimpy with entrees. One serving at most, so none left to have with leftover entree. In photo you can see how small the rice portion is.
Gail G — Google review
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Such a treat to find excellent Thai food in Marblehead. Prices are reasonable and they also have lunch boxes. Loved the eggplant/vegetarian lunch box, drunken noodles, and green curry eggplant. The eggplant in chili sauce (lunch box) is one of the best Thai eggplant dishes I’ve had. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. And the staff was attentive and charming. Highly recommended.
Karen B — Google review
The best Thai restaurant I've tried on the North Shore! Everything was excellent and very authentic, but the Khao Soi was the highlight for me. They very happily tossed a fried egg (khai dao!) on top of my wife's chicken krapow, which is always the mark of a fine Thai spot in my book 😋 🍳

Seafood restaurant
The Landing Restaurant in Marblehead, MA offers a picturesque setting on Ancient Marblehead Harbor and serves fresh, local delicacies with a chef-inspired cuisine. The restaurant is accessible by road or water and provides lovely views of the harbor from every seat in the dining room or open-air terrace.
The landing is a quaint restaurant in downtown Marblehead, serving up great food and a super inviting atmosphere. I had the crab cake sandwich, which was delicious. The menu has many options to choose from, and the drink menu is huge as well. Views of the harbor are great, too. My waitress Karen was amazing! Great service from her, and the food came out quick as well. Parking is a little difficult as there is only a small lot in front. Otherwise you'll have to find street parking, which isn't usually that bad. I highly recommend The Landing for a nice lunch or dinner by the harbor.
Lucas ル — Google review
The location is great, right on the water and the deck is spacious enough to not feel like you are on top of the next table. Our drinks were cold, the food was tasty and the view was nice. The only negative is the service. Our waitress was friendly but I left like they were under staffed. We waited a while for drinks and food as she had to juggle several tables. We did not order another round of drinks nor dessert because we didn't want to wait any longer.
Vicki L — Google review
A quaint and a bit weathered seafood place right on Marblehead harbor. Walked in for late lunch, sat by water outside. Place was busy and was serving bar menu with not many choices. Honestly didn't know what to expect for their culinary quality. But what a pleasant surprise! We were impressed by their Tuna tartare! There were service hiccups with our young server like forgetting our drinks and not taking it off our bill, but sunny weather and their delectable food made the experience forgivable. -Tuna tartare $21 melts in your mouth delicate finely minced tuna, served with pickled ginger, togarashi aioli, homemade chips and green miso vinaigrette -Fried calamari $19 fresh and tender, served with Chipotle aioli and hot pomodoro. Was served hot and fried clean. -Burger $19 Served with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, sweep pepper relish. Would love to return if in the area again.

Went for late lunch. Easy parking and waterfront. Seating outside was great. Lobster rolls came hot or cold. Plenty of sea food choices. Great cocktails

The Landing is a beautiful venue right on the water — the setting alone makes it worth a visit, but the food takes it to another level. Portions were both generous and delicious, leaving us fully satisfied without sacrificing quality or presentation. The staff was attentive and welcoming, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. A wonderful dining experience all around!
Eric M — Google review
Erin was such a fantastic host — super friendly and fun to chat with! Our group of four came in as walk-ins and got an outdoor table overlooking the water. We ordered the crispy haddock, shrimp burrata ravioli, and garlic bread. The crispy haddock was AMAZING. Even my friend who doesn’t like fish enjoyed it! The charred asparagus, cherry tomatoes, sauce, and potato purée were all perfect together. One tiny improvement or request is I wish they gave a little more of the veggies (like four asparagus spears instead of two). Overall fantastic place with fresh seafood. I would come here again!
Angela L — Google review
We came here on our honeymoon, the first night we came into Marblehead, our server Erin made every other restaurants job hard because of how great the food and her service was. She was able to give us recommendations for things to do around MA. My wife also got some marina on her brand new white sweater and Erin was kind enough to lend and then give her a tide to go pen. The place is absolutely wonderful and Erin matches that. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.
Jacob B — Google review
The food was fantastic and expertly cooked (a real rarity these days). The salmon sear and doneness could not have been executed better. Atmosphere is nice and service was quick and attentive despite it being a busy time. Pricing is great too. This place is a shining example of what the restaurant experience should be.

Seafood restaurant
Barnacle Restaurant Inc is a popular seafood spot that has been serving townies and tourists since 1961. Located by Fort Sewall, it offers stunning views of Marblehead's unique lighthouse and the harbor. The restaurant is known for its fresh lobster, with the owner being a lobsterman himself. They also offer a twin lobster special on Wednesdays. With outdoor seating and a long counter along the windows, diners can enjoy their meals while taking in the picturesque scenery.
Very cute little place. It's smaller so it gets loud. It's a neat setting in a pretty old building right on the water. Views are great! There is seating outside as well. We got clam chowder and the lobster bisque and it was great! Fried haddock au gratin was very good. We also got the fried platter that had shrimp, haddock, clams, fries and onion rings. The batter was light and everything was very tasty. We also tried the steamed mussels. I wasn't a fan of the mussels but thats just me so I can really speak on if they are good or not. The good was very good! Great seafood spot.
Tim B — Google review
Get a seat overlooking the harbor with a spectacular view! Fabulous fresh seafood- none fresher- in a cozy atmosphere. Wait for your "first come, first serve" table in their bar, but tables turn fast, so it won't be too long! This is a local haunt that everyone should visit!
Kristin A — Google review
Went bold and had some seafood. Sampled the fish and chips, chicken tenders and lobster roll thanks to my family. Lobster roll was awesome. The fnc was yummy, batter was good, fish great. Chips/fries were good for them being thin. They had that McD's shape but 10 times better! Tenders were great! I had the local brew, the citrus one. Nothing to write home about that. Had the lobster bisque and butterfly shrimp. Both were fabulous, but the batter was good, not great! View on the deck is incredible! Service was snappy and friendly!

This was a great find while in Boston. We drove over for some lobster and enjoyed their lobster bisque and lobster roll. Everything was so fresh with great taste. So glad to find this right on the inlet with a Waterview. Definitely will come back!

Tucked away from the tourist crowds, this local seafood restaurant sits just before the remains of Fort Sewall. It offers a stunning view of Marblehead Harbor and the world-renowned Corinthian Yacht Club across the bay. Popular with locals, the restaurant serves a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes—an excellent spot to enjoy both the food and the scenery.

Very popular restaurant, we arrived just at the time! There was a long waiting line when we left. The fried oysters were very nice, they were soft and fresh. I like the steamer as well! Really nice view, you can see the waves coming upwards to the window height!

They were very busy when we arrived so it took some time to get a table and our food. Worth the wait though. My friend has the fish and chips. I had the fried clams. Both were amazing. Views were serene.
Renee A — Google review
If you want a great spot for excellent traditional seafood served with a smile and attentiveness, Barnacle is the spot. It’s authentic, waterside with a view, and not trying to be anything other than what it’s known for. We were driving NE and detoured here based on other reviews. It did not disappoint. A welcoming local favorite full of locals, It’s exactly what we wanted. Alex at the bar was a gem was happy to answer all our questions with a smile. We tried both the bisque and chowda’. Delicious with considerable seafood. The lobster roll was better than anticipated and did not feature a ‘big glob of mayo’ as reported by a previous poster. Order with confidence! The steamers were plentiful, briny and came with wonderful drawn butter. Big fried scallops were perfectly cooked and tasty. We tried multiple local beers and walked away happy. Definitely making a return for more of that goodness.

Rating: ★★★★★ Three Cod Tavern is everything you want in a classic New England dining experience—family-owned, full of charm, and brimming with heart. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warmth that feels like home. The atmosphere is cozy and energetic, with that unmistakable buzz of a place that’s truly loved by its community. The food? Consistently fantastic. The clam chowder is rich and comforting, the baked haddock is a standout, and their lobster roll is one of the best around—fresh, overflowing, and perfectly seasoned. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual weeknight meal or celebrating with friends, every dish is served with care. It’s no wonder it’s become a beloved staple in Marblehead. A five-star gem, through and through.

We were on vacation visiting in town so it was mine and my friend first time going there it was recommended by a local. Love the atmosphere and the history of the place. I like how they have the bar for locals that's noisy separated from the dining. The bowl of clam chowder that I started with was excellent, the Lobster rolls each cost $31. We each got a hot and a cold one to split not worth the money. The hot Lobster roll had shredded lettuce as a filler which i didn't care for and they put mostly from the claw mmeat and tip which has no meat it's slimy and the cold same thing but drowned it in lots of Mayonnaise. The Lobster is what you want to taste on the roll no need to overdue it on lettuce or dressing and should be more meat for that price. The service was alright we had two they were rude. We got desserts to go I got strawberry shortcake that was very good. The shortcake was more like biscuit, but I would prefer to eat it there and my friend got the bread pudding she said it was way too sweet and not worth $9.75 If I did go back I would definitely get the clam chowder & Strawberry shortcake I highly recommend. Total bill $127. Incl. tip for 2 people that's way too much never will do that again. I'll get the Haddock dinner.

Best hamburgers in town, let alone out of town. They cook it to your liking: rare; medium rare to well done if you want. Sirloin on perfectly toasted sesame bun, crisp iceberg lettuce, fresh tomatoes and onion. Healthy portioned, and absolutely delicious. The classic down to tee.

Lunch with my best friend at the Three Cod Tavern in Marblehead was a delightful experience and felt like a true neighborhood gem, the kind of place where locals gather, and you instantly feel welcomed. The staff was super friendly. Our server, Jacqui, was happy to offer recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. The Three Cod Tavern provided a comfortable, enjoyable and no rush setting for our lunch. The food was solid and generous, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was great. It's definitely a place I'd recommend for a casual and satisfying meal in Marblehead.

Ate here twice (lunch, then dinner) during our visit to Marblehead. First stop was after driving for hours and just needed a place to eat. Upon walking in we immediately felt welcome. Townie atmosphere with quick, lively service and really good seafood. Both visits our food was fresh and hot, while our drinks were cold and strong. Perfect combo for us weary travelers. Owned by locals and well worth the visit.

Chowder was awesome!! Had had the Haddock fish sandwich which was incredible. Highly rated this place. The service has a 4 star because (1) We had to hunt someone down in order to be seated and (2) when she sat us, it was more a "your waitress will be so and so. Here's your menu." And then scuddled off like she was bothered we came in the first place... Will I go back though? Hell yes! The food was really good!

Nestled in a charming locale, Sea Salt is an elegant American restaurant that prides itself on serving high-quality, locally sourced dishes and beverages. The inviting atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for unwinding after a long day, catching up with friends, or celebrating special moments. Guests rave about their experiences here; one visitor was thrilled to discover this gem after seeking something new and was delighted by the friendly staff and fresh flavors.
I can’t say enough about the excellent service and over-the-top hospitality at Sea Salt. We showed up unannounced with a 7 lb Chihuahua in hand after taking a a stroll through historic Marblehead on a gorgeous Friday night - and asked if we could eat on the outdoor patio. David, the manager, was super welcoming, accommodating — and active (not always the case with GM’s). He took the initiative to light an outdoor heater to keep us comfortable. At one point he ran across the street to shop at Crosby’s when they were low on an ingredient - he is a rollup your sleeves sort of leader, which may help explain why all the rest of the staff are equally engaging and wonderful. Marc was our server and was extremely charming, knowledgeable and helpful about the menu and specials that night. You can tell when people truly enjoy what they do and where they work - Marc was that guy. He is going places, as they say. We had Maple Manhattan cocktails to start (divine), Korean chicken tenders, Ahi tuna poke, and Aleppo Honey Roasted Salmon entree - and shared it all. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and tasty. The Korean chicken tenders had authentic gochujang, were just slightly dry, but still solid and plentiful for an app. The ahi dish was the star of the night - lots of chunky fresh tuna, a large crispy wonton “bed”, wonderful complementary salsa adds, and the spicy mayo was a big hit with me (wife thought it could have used a smidge less mayo and smidge more spice - but hey…); the salmon was perfectly cooked and all the flavors on the plate blended nicely together. The honey advertised on this salmon did not really come through to add some sweet, but otherwise was a well executed dish. All in all - the meal was a B+ but the professional service from every employee we saw makes this an A restaurant any day of the week. Sea Salt is a “must try” for any visitor or local Marbleheader. A big thanks to David, Marc, and the chef team at Sea Salt for making this a wonderful impromptu meal on a picture-perfect New England Fall evening. We will be back!

I had dinner at Sea Salt while in town last week. The restaurant is super casual and welcoming, though a bit dark given it is in the basement of the building. The menu was very approachable, and my starter cocktail (maple Manhattan) was perfect. I was advised to try the butternut squash and beet salad, which I found to be very sub par. The tiny pieces of butternut squash were flavorless and most were undercooked. The salad lacked a crunch factor, and it could have used some goat cheese. I then tried the crab spaghetti as I had heard it was quite tasty. It was tasty, but it was a very small portion and could have used some Calabrian chili or something with a kick to add dimension. Overall it was a good meal but had room for improvement. I’d go back perhaps during the season to try again.

Wow! We stopped in based on the reviews here and boy did they not disappoint! Starting with the host and server, the folks here are wonderful and kind. I believe we had Emily as our server this evening and she was a true gem! We shared the Brussels sprouts and I don’t think I’ve ever had this kind of flavor with them and we LOVED it! We each had a glass of the Malbec and that was equally delicious! My husband had the shrimp and crab spaghetti and what a meal he said that was! He was practically licking the plate! I had the rigatoni bolognese and my goodness, the flavor was amazing! Based on what I’ve experienced her and what I’ve seen others experiencing, this is a must stop restaurant if you’re in Marblehead!

We had dinner at Sea Salt twice during our recent stay in Marblehead, and it was fantastic. The food, service, and restaurant were all wonderful—and the staff were very welcoming, attentive, and kind! The cocktails and wine are 🤌 while the food was delicious and perfectly portioned. Would highly recommend having dinner at Sea Salt when you’re in Marblehead!

Really happy we stopped in! Saw high reviews on Google & we wanted to try something new. We used to love 5 Corners Kitchen, but fell out of love due to various reasons. My husband and I will travel for good food. This place did not disappoint. Staff was very inviting and friendly. Food was fresh and tasty. Nice sized bar. I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Spaghetti. My pic doesn’t do it justice because I ate half already. Generous portions and reasonably priced. My husband got the Cobb salad with shrimp. He omitted the bacon and onion. The place is very good at accommodating our food needs/wants. Happy to find another place to add to our roster!

My favorite sit down restaurant in Marblehead hands down! The service, food and atmosphere are top notch. David, the owner, is a stand up guy and makes me feel like family any time I go. The quality of the food is incredible and the prices are very fair. Everything is amazing, but the Korean tenders are a must order. Sea Salt is a Marblehead staple!

If you have a service dog, don't bother even attempting to try this restaurant. I went on July 19 and was refused a table by the manager saying " it's within my legal right ". No Sir, you are Not within your legal rights. You and Sea Salt are in violation of a Federal Protection Law: the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). I chose to attempt resolving via private message, on July 19th to which the owners just responded today, August 21. Hummm. Edie Argo 17 Taft St. Marblehead

Opened just last December by owner Kevin Le, this upscale eatery offers an impressive array of dishes that go beyond traditional fare. Guests rave about the warm and welcoming atmosphere, where attentive staff like Dan and Rosie ensure every visit is memorable. From delectable small plates such as tuna tataki and lemongrass beef to standout drinks crafted with care, each meal feels special.
Decided to try this place on a whim for date night with my wife. It was absolutely AMAZING! The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, and the vibe was perfect. Definitely recommend. Special thanks to our server Tammy for making us feel at home!

My friend took me here a couple of weeks ago. Both food and drinks are amazing. Service is also exceptional, the owner checks on the customers and makes sure they are having a good time. It is a little pricey but that’s not surprising considering it’s in Marblehead.

Myself and my Boyfriend tried here for the first time for his birthday and we cannot stop talking about how delicious the food is. We left with the perfect “fullness”. The portion sizes are perfect and not overwhelming like a lot of restaurants around…. We shared everything. We started off with the tuna-tar, Which was absolutely mouthwatering….. For entrées, we shared the salmon, lobster fried rice, And a side of garlic noodles… I do not eat meat. The salmon was phenomenal, perfectly seasoned, and there was the perfect amount of veggies on the plate . The lobster fried rice was the same absolutely amazing and so were the garlic noodles. They were so buttery… we have never finished an entire meal at any restaurant and I can proudly say we ate every single last bite on our plate . I really cannot stress how delicious the food was and I’m so excited to go back from my birthday in the next couple weeks!! We wanted to try the mango sticky rice for dessert, but it is so popular. They ran out so that’s what I’ll be getting when I come back hopefully!!!! Dan our server was just as amazing by the way!! Very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. !!!

We used to love this place and were really looking forward to dining here again — but we didn’t realize they had changed the menu from Asian to bland and boring American cuisine. The service was still great, and the drinks and appetizers were solid — well-made and flavorful. But the entrees were a big disappointment. The burger was bland and average with sub par French fries. Only decided on the burger because the rest of the menu was so different than before. The oyster studded haddock was poor. The flavor was not there, fish was dry, and sauce was gross. We were so disappointed with the entrees, especially compared to the quality we remember from the previous menu. It’s a bummer because this spot used to be a go-to for us. For now, we probably won’t come back. Not worth the money.

Highly recommend the steak, tuna taitaki, oysters, razor clams and the lobster. I would definitely recommend this place.

I ate here on New Years Eve! Being a holiday I expected everything to be hectic. It was the exact opposite! Stellar food, great drinks, and an all around nice atmosphere. I cannot say enough about our spectacular server, Tony! He had food and drink recommendations, was attentive, and very helpful. I hope to have him as my server again in the future! One of our favorites. Staff is attentive and always very friendly and welcoming. The food and drink never disappoint. Must tries…Joel rolls, arugula beet salad and chicken parm. Oh, and don’t forget an espresso martini. Great menu and drink selection. Other must tries are the eggplant rollatini, chix or veal saltimbocca and haddock francaise. I wish there was a way to give them 6 stars…this place deserves it!

I ordered meatballs. They were so dry I almost choked. Had half a meatball. Then bees were all over them. I was still charged for the meatballs even tho I had half a one. Lol money isn't an issue but the point is I didnt like it nor did I eat it. Apparently people in Marblehead enjoy eating bugs because the waitress kept asking if I wanted the nasty bee covered meatballs wrapped up. Honestly, the fries were the worst. I adore rosemary and there was literally black crumbs on the fries I thought was black pepper. I said where is the rosemary he said "that black stuff is rosemary". Nooooo. Don't waste your money here. You'll be disappointed greatly.

Came here for the first time tonight. I really enjoyed my meal, as did my friend. We shared the prosciutto and burrata appetizer, seared scallops with butternut squash risotto (a special), and the pork chop Milanese. We were super impressed with the risotto and scallops. Scallops were cooked perfectly, very flavorful and the risotto was buttery, cheesy and only a little bit sweet. Loved the other dishes too. I rarely drink with dinner, but ordered a lemon drop martini when I saw one being delivered to another table. I'm glad I did - it was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

I went here for dinner and this is a great restaurant. I liked the selections. I do not drink so I asked them to make a mocktail and they did a wonderful job. I ordered the ravioli and it was superb. The only thing I would suggest would be to possibly make the Parmesan cheese easier to dispense. All in all, great experience! The owners son was very kind to us (the people I went with are regulars) and he was very welcoming to me and introduced himself as well!

Having lived in Wakefield and enjoyed being within walking distance of that location, we were excited to see they had a Marblehead location after we moved to Salem. Hubs bday choice was to try them out:) On January 17th. It was a dark slow Tuesday night; we made reservations, although absolutely was not needed. Greeted by the owner and was surprised another Tricia had reservations the same night, lol! The ambiance is old school Italian bar. Dark woods, country seating. While it was mostly empty, we sat right next to another table of a group of ladies. Given that I mentioned this was a bday celebration, I would have hoped to have a bit of space. But it was overall fine. Our server was great and attentive. The owner came by a few times to check on how we were doing, which was a great touch. Food - oh my. So good. The Citrus salad we started with was juicy fresh and not overdressed, seasoned well. We also tried the arancini, which was very good, smooth, and cheesy. Hubs got some seafood red sauce dish, lol we can't remember what it was! But I do remember he absolutely loved it and said it was cooked perfectly. I had the simple-looking lamb chops and grilled veg. This was amazing! The lamb was cooked perfectly, and wow, those veg were seasoned so well, nice char from the grill I gobbled them up. We ended with a cannoli that was so light and fluffy - perfect ending. We will be back!

It's a little old fashioned but cozy restaurant. The calamari was tender and moisture. But the spaghetti and clam had room to improve. The waitress is very friendly. Good place to hang out with friends.

Nestled in the charming town of Marblehead, Cafe Vesuvius is a delightful eatery that has been delighting locals for over two decades. This casual spot specializes in thin-crust pizza and hearty sandwiches, all crafted with fresh ingredients that ensure quality in every bite. The menu boasts an impressive array of pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and wraps to satisfy any craving. Visitors often rave about the warm atmosphere and friendly staff who go above and beyond to create memorable dining experiences.
Some of the best pizza I've had around Boston. They do hire a lot of young people in high school or college, so I understand the customer service is not the best. Just be ready to repeat yourself many times for the young people taking your order. But the pizzas are delicious and worth the lack of conversation with the young staff.

I love their food but was very disappointed about the service today. I called in asking to warm up few slices of pizza for me so it's ready when I get there because mine lunch break is very short. When I went to pick up the food I was told that they cannot do it for me anymore because I'm not getting a whole pizza. It is very sad since it's just warming up the existing slices and it has not been a problem before

If I could give this place a 10 star review out of 5 I would have. These folks are awesome! They went above and beyond to make this delivery special. To make the long story short, we live in PA and today (6/7/20) would have been my nephews high school graduation. To celebrate our family had a “Zoom Graduation”. We wanted to make it special so at the last minute I had decided to order him a pizza and have it delivered to his house. I never expected how EXTRA-special Café Vesuvius made this pizza delivery! They accommodated my weird pizza order all the way from PA. I specifically asked them if they could write, “Happy Graduation…” (as pictured). You should have seen his face light up on the Zoom call… “there’s a man at the door with a pizza”. I hope in the near future I have the opportunity to dine at this restaurant . The customer service is exceptional and delivery timely. Though I did not have the chance to taste the pizza myself, judging by how quickly my nephew downed three pieces I would have to concur the that taste/flavor was equally exceptional…YUM! Thank You Café Vesuvius!

They have awesome cheese pepperoni or even ravioli pizza if you're up for it it is heavenly!! Staff is so accommodating and polite very helpful and fast service and for diamond also if needed.I work locally doing HVAC and we come in here a lot and we recommend it to anybody who wants a great slice of pizza. This is one of the best Italian style pizzeria places in the area I highly recommend it to anybody.5 STAR EXPERIENCE, thank you Vesuvius you rock!!!!

Always great food, friendly staff. Have been going there for quite a few years now and never have I been disappointed by them. I would definitely recommend Vesuvius!

Long time Marblehead pizza staple. Whole family loves it here. They do have gluten free options available for crusts but they still cook it in the oven on the rolling rack. The same rolling rack that is used for all the other pizzas. If you are someone with a gluten allergy (like me) even a little flour will make you very sick. I tried the gluten free pizza option (and not thinking of the oven) I ended up and getting very sick. I can no longer go here for myself. The regular pizzas are amazing and I will still get the regular pizza for the rest of the family.

Maddie's Sail Loft is a long-standing restaurant and pub in Old Town, known for its New England seafood and drinks. Under new management for the past two years, the venue has undergone positive changes to its menu and interior while maintaining its warm and inviting atmosphere. The establishment is adorned with antique fishing memorabilia, offering a genuine feel of a historic seaport town with deep roots in the American Revolution.
Maddie’s Sail Loft, unpretentious with a dark interior, is favored by savvy locals and smart tourists. We were served excellent food and the prices are right. We blew into town, our first visit, and there’s no direct route to M’head. Read the reviews, could have chosen a waterfront joint that was way too pricey, opted for Maddie’s and so glad we did. Courtney, the lone bartender and server was great and fun. The place was very busy. She’s been there some 7 years. The Margaritas were generous. The Fish and Chips were EXO. Fresh Haddock and piping hot. Killer fries. The Onion rings were hand battered, not frozen and soo good. Never had Fish Tacos, had seen fried fish served in the shells at other places, these were fresh pcs. of haddock within coiled shells, unable to pick up from the moist filling, but were tasty. I’d choose something else next time. Pabst Blue Ribbon is $3, the Hamburger Special is $8.99 served M-F. There is an upper dining room that was closed this day in October. It was a good day.

Rating: ★★★★★ Maddie’s Sail Loft is a quintessential Marblehead gem that effortlessly combines historic charm with hearty New England fare. Nestled on State Street, this cozy spot exudes a welcoming ambiance, adorned with nautical memorabilia that pays homage to the town’s rich maritime heritage. The menu is a delightful showcase of classic seafood and American comfort dishes. The clam chowder is creamy and brimming with flavor, while the lobster ravioli offers a decadent twist that’s hard to resist. For those craving something fried and satisfying, the fish and chips are a must-try—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Beyond the food, Maddie’s is renowned for its generous pours and friendly service. The bar area buzzes with a lively crowd, making it a perfect spot for both locals and visitors to unwind. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual lunch or a late-night bite, Maddie’s delivers an experience that’s both authentic and memorable. In a town filled with dining options, Maddie’s Sail Loft stands out as a beloved staple that captures the essence of Marblehead’s coastal charm.

Maddie’s is such a charming spot. The Topsail area pours a strong cocktail, and the ambiance is hard to beat. That being said, my friend and I went a few evenings ago, and for being a slow night, the service was very slow. We also had some apps (a Caesar and some Mozz sticks) and neither was very good. The Caesar was nothing special, and the Mozz sticks weren’t crisp nor was the Mozz pulling apart. Our drinks were good and full pours, though, and the ambiance is worth a visit. Might just be back for drinks.

Stayed in Marblehead 5 nights, ate here 3 times! Obviously extremely popular with locals as it was busy every time, we just put our names down and went for a walk by the habour to pass the time - their reservation system tells you how long and how many tables in front of you but it was never more than about 30 mins. Popular for a reason too - great food, good sized portions, but be warned as the drinks are served strong! Not complaining as it was only a short walk from the hotel. Just a comment on the welcome - we went into a packed downstairs the first night, and I was just trying to find out where to sit, how to go upstairs, and a local couple guided me to the empty spot next to them to sit, and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.

A relaxed atmosphere very close to the harbor. The place seemed popular with locals — we were apparently the only tourists! Our dishes (clam and shrimp linguine) were delicious, and the service was very friendly. Prices were totally affordable (which is rare for restaurants near the harbor). The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit dark inside.

This was the best food for the best prices and the best portions in all of our travels through out New England. When it is busy the whole restaurant is incredibly loud, but on slower nights the atmosphere is wonderful.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Maddie’s! Great dishes, especially the scallops risotto was incredible that I’d love to come back for it again. Staff were friendly.
Yuri.U — Google review
Overall a great place. We got the steak and the chicken Parmesan. The steak was fantastic. The chicken Parmesan left something to be desired. There was very little sauce on it, so I asked for some extra sauce on the side. But even with that, it was just very bland. The sauce had very little taste to it and was quite watered down. I brought most of it home to revamp with some better sauce. But it was a good portion with a good amount of cheese. The only other negative was the "atmosphere". It was VERY loud. We initially went downstairs, thinking you had to go to the upstairs restaurant through there. And that was EXTREMELY loud. We were hoping upstairs would be better, and it was, but only slightly. There were just so many people crammed in the small room, that it was impossible for it to be quiet. For such a busy place the service was good though and the food decent, especially our excellent steak. I would go again, i would just not get the chicken Parmesan.

The menu offers a great variety—fresh seafood, hearty burgers, and creative daily specials. I had the walleye sandwich and it was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and loaded with flavor. The side of seasoned fries was a great touch, and the portion size was generous. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff really went the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. The lakefront views (if you’re near water) or cozy indoor seating add to the experience, depending on the season.

Four of us enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Driftwood on Saturday morning. We got there a little before 9 AM and got a table without waiting. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food came in probably 20 minutes or so. The blueberry pancakes and the blueberry/banana pancakes were delicious! Veggie omelette was also very good, with all the ingredients properly cooked. The diner-style coffee was okay as expected. There aren't many tables, but there is bar seating.

Since its inception in the early 1960s, this humble diner has been a haven for locals and visitors alike, drawn by its hearty fare and warm, familial atmosphere. The interior exudes a nostalgic charm, with its classic counter seating and red-topped tables, reminiscent of a bygone era. Wow. I love this place so much. Finding authentic Mexican on the North Shore can feel impossible, which is why walking into Casa Corona was such a relief. It's the real deal. Great salsa, authentic recipes, good vides. I would love to just sit here.

First time and won’t be my last! Had a great dinner at Casa Corona last night. Started with a spicy skinny margarita, and it was HUGE and strong. I didn’t understand the maraschino cherry, would much prefer lime wedges. The chips were crispy and delicious while the salsa was just fine. Ordered the Tres Amigas enchiladas and they did not disappoint. The beans and rice were delicious, and the slaw was a stroke of genius. I will most definitely be back!!

Used a Groupon and got a good deal on the food and it was easy to use. The food and service was good, no complaints there. However, instead of raising their menu prices they have decided to charge a blanket “service fee” instead. This was not advertised anywhere and we only found out about it once the bill came. This is deceptive pricing and is the only reason I’m giving them less stars. This soured our experience. I’m paying for the service of dining out with the menu prices and gratuity, I should not get hit with a secret charge at the end just because they don’t want to raise their menu prices.

Presentation was great. Taste was okay. The protein portions were very small. Prices of food are going up. But I'd rather pay more for a decent portion. Than have a small piece covered with cooked vegetables. The service was very slow. Seemed like they were short staffed. We had 3 tables for a large group. The middle table was very wobbly. Very uncomfortable to eat. Other than that it was a nice family dinner. Drinks were good.

Cute spot in Marblehead. The girls who work here are great. We love the cheese dip and chips. We get chicken tacos a lot and it’s not always consistent. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and they made it with Bologna. Not to be dramatic, but it was top 5 most disgusting things I've been served. And also a bit insulting to be served a $15 boloney sandwich as a 'cuban'. This happened over a month ago and I still think about how gross it was. The coffee and all the other stuff seemed nice. Just don't order the the Boloney Cuban.

Wife and I visited Marblehead for 2 days. Got lunch here and enjoyed the sandwiches! She is gluten free intolerant and she enjoyed the pesto chicken sandwich. One of the best gf bread shes had. I had a cuban and enjoyed how it tasted. The chowder soup was average as well as the apple cider donut. Great place to walk to and enjoy a quick lunch. Would like for the muffins or some desert to be gluten free for my wife, but she was satisfied with the options of the sandwiches

It wasn't frilly or fancy but they had the best burger I've eaten in 20 years. Combined with the lovely homey decor and the friendly staff and this is a top notch spot.

We got the lobster roll, a s’mores cookie and smoothies. The smoothies were terrible; watered down and chalky. The cookie was dry but we liked the marshmallow and chocolate they used. The lobster roll was okay for the price. All in all, would not go back.

Party of 4, each of us was extremely satisfied with our lunch choices of soup , sandwiches, & cookies. We were surprised at the great lunch selections thinking this was only a bakery & coffee. Lots here to enjoy.

It came to us as amusing, that even at 1.15pm, lunch time, the place called the Muffin Shop was out of Muffins. Still it made up by some lovely sandwiches. I opted for a Turkey Reuben sandwich - on wheat bread. My Sandwhich was easy to order, the only question was the choice of breads. My partner had an ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo on white. Ham and cheese seemed a simply sandwich, but he had to answer another few questions: a) Do you want lettuce? - Yes; b) do you want tomato? - Yes; c) Do you want condiments? - Which do you have? - a list ensues - I'll have mayo; d) What bread do you want? Well worth a visit for lunch.

I was greeted by Vivian and had a fantastic experience at the new location! It was my first visit, and everything was spectacular. I really enjoyed the soup and the attentive service. The food is fresh and delicious, and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

We love Soall. We have been dining at Soall since the first day they originally opened at Village Plaza & have since enjoyed their new location on Pleasant Street. The food is consistently excellent. This time I tried the Braised Pork Ribs as an appetizer to my entre of the always delicious Curry Chicken Vermicelli. The meat of the ribs was done to perfection, so scrumptious with delicious Vietnamese seasoning. Their attention to detail is impeccable. Thank you Soall for being so consistently wonderful.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! We arrived as a group of five, and even though the place is small, the server was kind enough to accommodate us by putting two tables together. The server (Lily) was wonderfully kind and professional, and did not seem remotely stressed even though she was the only server that night and it was the height of the dinner rush. A sixth person even joined us later on, and Lily seamlessly added her order to the table’s. The food was superb and absolutely hit the spot. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. We will definitely be going back!

Friendly warm service. My pho beef noodle soup was almost perfect. The browns tasty not too much fat or too sweet. It has only rare cut while I'd prefer having more varieties. My wife had the caramelized salmon and she said it is perfectly.

The food and atmosphere of the Marblehead location are nothing shy of amazing. The food came out hot and the taste was 10/10! Just as the food was amazing the waitress Vivian was outstanding in her attention to detail and immaculate service. As well as she is drop dead gorgeous ;) I will definitely be returning for many years to come as this will be mine and my family’s go to Vietnamese restaurant. Thank you again to the entire Soall team for an amazing dinner!!!

My family and I have eaten at Soall on many occasions. Sometimes we plan it and look forward to it.. Other times we spontaneously choose to go for dinner. Every single time we've eaten at Soall it has been a pleasure and the food has been terrific. There is a high level of cuisine with the ingredients, the execution, and delivery. I appreciate their commitment to their craft as well as efforts for the patrons. I highly recommend Soall as one of our favorite restaurants. Thank you.

I was a bit reluctant at first to eat here as the restaurant's space is small, but once I decided to give it a try, I was surprised that their Vietnamese food was delicious and authentic. I had the salmon caramelized in a clay pot and the rice vermicelli noodles with pork. The manager/waitress was friendly and provided good service. I will come back for more whenever I visit Marblehead.

Sushi restaurant
Junji's Fine Japanese Cuisine is a sushi restaurant with a Polynesian style focus. The preparation of the fish is always done very carefully and the result is great sushi that is always fresh tasting. They also have a good selection of sake and they are particularly known for their chicken teriyaki dish.
💯 recommend. The quality and the service is amazing. First time and I am definitely coming back!!

We were staying in Marblehead and stumbled upon this space. Seeing what I assumed was the family in the restaurant. It was amazing to see this beautiful menu with takoyaki and aged dashing. Both were amazing. I also got a chef's choice of 15 pieces of sashimi. The fish tasted so fresh and naturally sweet. The sashimi plate also came with miso and a salad. It was a cute lil space and amazing food. Will definitely be back when I'm back in the area.
Laura C — Google review
I'm sorry to write this review, but my takeout last night was the second time your nigitlri tasted a bit off. When there is sauce on maki, it might not be too noticeable, but Nigiri is just shoyu and sasabi, and I can taste fish. Tuna looked gray and very mushy, and hamachi and salmon tasted like it was spoiled. My husband needed to spit salmon out. I ate it but then I didn't feel too great after that. Unagi is usually very safe to eat because the sweet sauce covers it up, but it tasted really fishy. The bottom of the salad was brown and tasted rotten. I'm sure it's prepacked for takeout, but I wondered how long it was in your fridge. Please check your ingredients every day. Raw fish can seriously harm people. Also, you can not pack warm miso soup and salad and raw fish sushi together. It's a serious health hazard.

This place has phenomenal sushi and other traditional Japanese dishes. I went there for my friends birthday dinner. This is a small and intimate setting. However they're more than happy to accommodate groups up to 10-12 if you call ahead to reserve an area.

Great Japanese/Polynesian style sushi (maki/sashimi) restaurant and bar. Good sake selection I have always had very fresh tasting fish served properly. If you’re looking for a good chicken teriyaki or udon you came to the wrong place.

Super friendly staff and tasty sushi! We always get the rangoons and they’re delicious
Sutton — Google review
Friendly staff, actually feel sorry to have to write this review, but the food was alarming. My tamago nigiri was green. Literally green eggs. The fatty tuna was stringy and unchewable, and all of the fish was off. I worry for my health after this meal. I had to spit some of -the most expensive- a la carte nigiri out because it just didnt seem edible. That said, judging from other reviews, it may have just been an off day and the staff are great, but I won't be coming back to find out. The appetizers were great, but I have never had a worse sushi meal in my life.

Marblehead House of Pizza Inc is a long-standing downtown favorite known for its Greek-style pies and delicious grinders. The small-town shop offers top-notch food, including wonderful kabobs and fresh salads. Customers rave about the great sauce and the best steak bomb in town. While the place doesn't accept credit or debit cards, the incredible food, great prices, and friendly staff make it worth a visit.
I visited this place as I have family in the area. Incredible is the only way to describe this place. Amazing food, great prices, and Tom is THE MAN! We had a feta and pepperoni pizza. The crust is like nothing I have had anywhere. The crust was cripy and light. The regular cheese complemented the toppings. I experimented a bit and dipped the crust into their house made dressing, usually served with salads and kabobs. It was full of flavor unlike any dressing I have ever had. It was refreshing and made me want more. This place is worth a visit. You will want to come back.

Rating: ★★★★☆ Marblehead House of Pizza is exactly what you hope for in a hometown pizza joint—unpretentious, consistent, and delicious. While the interior is small and really just meant for grabbing your order and going, the real star is the pizza. If you’re into thin, crispy, greasy-in-the-best-way pizza, this place is a 10/10 experience. The crust has just the right crunch, the cheese melts perfectly, and the flavor hits all the nostalgic notes of classic New England-style pizza. It’s comfort food done right. This spot is a Marblehead staple for a reason—beloved by locals and always hitting the mark. Whether you’re grabbing a slice on the go or ordering pies for a casual night in, Marblehead House of Pizza never disappoints.

Thought their subs were a bit pricey, $12+ for a small Italian. Asked for "just a little bit" of salad dressing in my Italian sub, cuz that's how I like it, and it was completely slathered in dressing. This must have been the first time someone asked for that. And it was so full I could not eat it without it falling apart and getting the dressing all over my hands. The dressing flavor dominated. Was it still delicious? Yes.
Deanna S — Google review

I was starving and I had a half hour ride home. So I looked around to find something close and quick Google maps showed me a couple places and I chose Village roast beef and seafood. Where I am from we don’t have something and roast beef. There’s no pizza and roast beef and seafood and roast beef, there’s no roast beef. So I went and there was a sign on the door that had special fried fish. The people that work there were lovely. Very nice and I ordered my meatball sub and an order of fried fish. The fish for supper. The meatball sub was for lunch the next day at work . The fried fish was excellent. it was a good portion size. The fries were crispy. I hate soggy limp fries. These were not. Next day I had half of my meatball sub which was bigger than I expected. So I had it for two days. The sauce was good. The meatballs were actually meat balls. I’m Italian you can ask anybody who knows me. Don’t tell me. It’s a meatball and give me cut up pieces of meatballs. I want meatballs. These were delicious. I didn’t spend a lot of money. I got three meals, and I was pretty darn happy. Pretty darn.
Tammy-Joy B — Google review
The food is typical low end sub shop, but the place is old, crummy with worn out furniture and furnishings that looks dirty. No credit cards. Also on a cold day it was cold in there, unpleasant for eat in. There are better choices within a few blocks.

I paid 38 dollars to take out a Roast beef and 8 piece wings. Firstly Don’t go here they just rip you off.. the tip is automatically set so you won’t notice them ripping you off if you don’t get a receipt. This practice should be illegal. Stay away. The Roast beef was flavorful but for a super I should have received a more meat then this the Bun is very thick and basically your eating bread and cheese in a lot of bites. The Wings are frozen wing dings not fresh. First and last time.
Jorge D — Google review
This shop is in need of a major cleanup. The tables are all worn out there's no proper ventilation and the food is not that great. Not taking credit cards is an inconvenience. They should post thjs more prominently. By the waynd way why not take credit cards every other shop in Marblehead does. Cleaner brighter more airy places within a 5-minute walk. Tried it once and no reason to go back.

Seafood market

Little Harbor Lobster Company, a seafood spot with over a century of history, is known for serving the freshest seafood in Marblehead and nearby north coast communities. The family-owned business sources its seafood directly from local fishermen whenever possible. The cozy shack offers a delightful selection of fresh fish and the best lobster roll in town, all just a short walk from the historic district's center.
The best lobster roll I've tasted at $36. Better than legal seafood (Peabody and market Street locations), better than Luke's lobsters boston, better than Bambara Cambridge, better than Boston sail loft, better than Turners in Salem. (All places I have had lobster rolls the past 2 weeks.). Simply the best so far. I had one at their shop and then took one deconstructed for dinner. The cashier ladies were super friendly and helpful. They said the best time to come would be August. That's when lobster season is going on and prices per lobster pound can go from $17 /lb in April to $7 /lb in August. Which for them means they can sell lobster rolls as cheap as $25 which is a great deal for something this tasty. In short, way better than the red lobster chain restaurants in California. New England area is definitely blessed and may have ruined lobster for me since I can only have this here.
J P — Google review
The hidden local favorite seafood place in Marblehead. Small business by the water, you can get the best lobster roll LOADED with lobster meat (not just the meat from the claws). Comes in 2 flavors: mayonnaise or lemon butter. Both are amazingly good. They also have lobsters, crab cakes, fish cakes, chowders, etc. you can get raw seafood here as well. Heads-up, only outdoor seating, but the view is totally worth it. Highly recommended, 10/10!

Had a great lunch at Little Harbor Lobster Co. today. My friend said it was the best lobster roll of his life, and the spicy shrimp roll was delicious (though I could have handled more spice). We each had a can or rosè and sat outside to enjoy views of the harbor. I also grabbed a beautiful piece of cod and some lobster mac and cheese to have later this week. Highly recommend and will be back!

Went for lunch with the family, lucked out that it wasn't that busy on an overcast day. The staff were super friendly, showed my kids a live lobster and posed for pics. The lobster rolls were excellent, and the view was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

The lobster meat is picked daily. Their lobster rolls are amazing either butter or mayo style. I got some to stack on salad. And .... brought home 3lbs of meat to make sliders for friends back in Colorado. The sweetest meat. Always stop here when I visit family back east.

Best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Tried both mayo and butter—both were amazing, can’t even pick a favorite. Way better than Legal’s, Luke’s, or Sail Loft. Paid $33 each and worth every bite. Casual mom-and-pop spot right on the water with super friendly staff. Always my first stop when I visit family

Big chunks of lobster, lightly mayoed, brioche bun; it's the perfect lobster roll. 🦞❤️ I tried this place a few years ago and now make it a point to come here anytime I visit the North shore. The staff is also super friendly and the local beer / wine selection is great. Don't miss this place!

The tortilla for my wrap tasted awful, I can't even explain it. Almost like stale bread and plastic. The wrap itself would not stay closed because there was so much lettuce, but there was barely any chicken in it? Worst of all, the lettuce they stuffed it with was rotten. Never trying here again.

This is a takeout only sandwich shop that serves consistently good sandwiches. I've tried a number of their sandwiches and have never been disappointed. If you go here, make sure to try one of their pickles, they're very good, and I'm pretty sure they pickled in-house. I was a bit disappointed to see them increase their prices back in 2020-2021ish but I understand that their suppliers increased their prices so Manhattan must raise theirs too. It'd be nice to have a table or two to sit at but the space is limited and instead, they use that space to sell more products like chips, coleslaw, etc. which is nice to see.
Bryan — Google review
I’ve had Manhattan sandwich company multiple times. They definitely serve tasty sandwiches, but really depends on who makes it because it’s never consistent among all their employees. I will still get takeout from there, but would appreciate if the portions in each sandwich were the same across the border, and not based on which person makes it

When heading down to New York City for business, I frequent Rein’s New York Style Deli, they’ve always had great sandwiches. Then I found this small little gem of a place called Manhatten Sandwich Co. in Marblehead. HOLY JESUS. Do you like flavorful explosions in your mouth? Juicy tender deli meats? Eye appealing sandwich presentations? THIS is the place where you get real sandwiches. I’m not sure how Manhatten caught bad reviews here, sometimes I think it’s jealousy, because you just can’t make a mean sandwich at home like this, and the execution is done perfectly. Ordered the American Hero, whew so many amazing things about this sandwich, corned beef is soooo good, almost melt in your mouth category, sauces are rich and tasty, bread is fluffy and delicious. When you nod your head yes, and negative reviewers say no, what do you mean? If you’re looking for a small hole in the wall place, to tickle your tastebuds (and their awards sure prove it), Manhatten really needs to be your first stop, especially if you’re heading out on your boat, beach, or raft. Also recommend corporate to come here and order out, as business grows, Manhatten will be my one stop shop to feed our hungry creatives.

★★★★★ — BEST EGG DROP SOUP IN TOWN Fen Yang House has become the dependable dinner hero in our home—and judging by how often I see its white take-out bags on Atlantic Ave., I’m not alone. What keeps us coming back Dual-menu delight. Where else in Marblehead can you order picture-perfect salmon maki and a sizzling plate of General Gau’s chicken from the same kitchen? The Chinese standards taste exactly like you hope they will (crispy, not greasy, with sauce that’s tangy-sweet, not syrupy), while the sushi rice is shockingly fluffy for a suburban spot. Grubhub Uber Eats Lightning-fast service. Whether we grab take-out after work or schedule delivery through Uber Eats or Grubhub, the food is hot, neatly packed, and at the door in 30 minutes or less—even on Friday nights. Grubhub Uber Eats Can’t-miss crowd-pleasers. Peking ravioli—tender dumplings with that addictively garlicky dipping sauce. Crab Rangoon—golden, super-crispy pillows (a must-order for every game night). Sesame chicken—perfect crunch-to-sauce ratio and real orange zest in the glaze. House fried rice—loaded with big shrimp and BBQ pork, never oily. Postmates Uber Eats Recent facelift, same neighborhood soul. The dining room makeover last year brightened the space with warm wood and modern lighting, yet still feels casual enough for a quick family lunch. Marblehead Current Fair prices & generous portions. One entrée easily feeds two (with leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch), so a full feast rarely tops what other places charge for just sushi. Bottom line: From noon luncheon specials to late-night lo mein cravings, Fen Yang House delivers consistent flavor, friendly service, and unbeatable variety. If you’re in Marblehead and haven’t ordered yet, treat yourself—you’ll understand why this place is a local staple after the very first bite.

I grew up believing that a Chinese restaurant should smell like Chinese food is being cooked there. This one does not. I have gone a few times for lunch and have always been the only customer in the place. The waitresses are efficient, but not outgoing. Tea is not offered and the bill is not accompanied by a fortune cookie, never mind a few pineapple chunks. The quality of the food has declined in recent months.

Main dining room was really cold. Service was slow. Food was cold when it finally arrived at our table and we had to send it back to the kitchen. The whole experience was not good. We ordered Mai Tai and they seemed to be very weak. Instead of remaking the drinks the hostess brought shot glasses with the liquor mix to the table so we could add this to our drinks. When we were leaving we asked the hostess for her name and she refused to provide it, because in her words, "You were not happy!" I was disappointed especially as I have enjoyed eating here over the years and had not been in for a few years. There are so many great eateries in Marblehead I would give this place a miss!

Nestled in the charming town of Marblehead, Java Sun Coffee Roasters is a delightful café that perfectly blends a warm atmosphere with friendly service. This cozy spot offers an array of breakfast and lunch options, making it an ideal place to start your day or take a break. Whether you’re sipping on a hot latte or enjoying an iced matcha latte, the inviting ambiance enhances every sip. The café features comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors, allowing guests to relax while savoring their favorite treats.
Fantastic breakfast sandwich! 2 eggs!!! I’m strange and like to eat my sandwiches open face, so the fact that they’re were enough fillings to cover both pieces of bagel was awesome 😄🥳😋 coffee very very good! Great condiment selection too! Services very fast and friendly. Great, comfortable space, nice clean bathroom, nice outdoor seating! Happy this place exists🥰

I was blown away by how delicious the espresso macchiato drink was at this fun and friendly little coffee shop. So much sour and fruity espresso being made these days… So nice to have a clean dark roast with deep caramel and chocolate flavors. If I wanted fruit I'd get a cup of tea. Bravo Java Sun! Nicely done.

My favorite coffee spot in Marblehead. The food is also very good but what is the best is the baked goods. As Java has the best muffins and scones in the area and it is not even close. You should get their early because they get packed in the weekdays.

If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would. It’s so friendly, clean, and the food is DELICIOUS. German the owner was very friendly and made sure everything was made to perfection. Definitely try the muffins if you’re stuck on what to eat. By far the best muffins I’ve had ever! 10/10 recommend this place !!!

What a homely, friendly place, with comfortable seats and lovely staff. The Java Sun Coffee Roasters place is well located in Marblehead and serves coffee and treats to go or to eat inside. We opted for a lovely large Americano in a real china mug. I do so much prefer my coffee out of a 'real' cup. Polystyrene or even paper is just not the same. My partner had the same but also enjoyed an oatmeal blueberry muffin – the best muffin he has had for many a year.

A group recently dined at Plus Cafe and had a delightful experience. They highly recommend the cafe, giving it five stars. The staff was well-organized and very friendly towards their customers. One customer named Eric Cole received excellent service as his sandwich was remade to his liking, despite giving the cafe only one star. The hardworking owner and his wife are dedicated to taking care of their customers, earning them praise. The cafe offers a nice atmosphere and serves good-quality food and coffee.
Best 🥓 🥚 🧀 in town. Best yogurt & fruit bowl in town. They also play great music 🎼🎧

⸻ Rating: ★★★☆☆ Plus Cafe offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a well-crafted cup of coffee. The ambiance is thoughtfully designed, providing ample seating that caters to both individuals seeking a quiet corner and groups looking to socialize. The coffee itself is commendable—rich in flavor and brewed with evident care. However, the service experience leaves much to be desired. During my visit, the staff appeared disengaged and inattentive, which detracted from the overall welcoming environment. Despite the cafe not being particularly busy, there was a noticeable lack of promptness and courtesy in taking and fulfilling orders. This level of service does not align with the quality of the beverages served. In summary, while Plus Cafe excels in providing excellent coffee within a comfortable setting, the subpar service significantly impacts the overall experience. With improvements in staff training and customer engagement, this establishment has the potential to enhance its reputation and customer satisfaction.

It’s refreshing to find a café that makes you feel at home. This café does it for you. The latin tango/chill café del Mar music that soothes your soul. The friendly owner and staff ready to chat and help you choose which dessert to pick. It feels like family. The sandwiches wraps, pastries- authentic Italian, Greek and French desserts. I am in the process of trying them all. I have to make sure I don’t dive into a sugar coma. Thank goodness I am only here for a month. I will be as big as a house trying the tiramisu category-they have several. Efkharistoúme tin omáda του Cafe Plus (Thank you to Team Café Plus!)

The Little Store is not your typical restaurant, as it lacks seating and its inventory has been somewhat reduced recently. However, it's worth mentioning for its generous and high-quality sandwiches, such as the substantial roast beef that can easily feed two people. The tuna and pizza are also highly recommended. What sets this place apart is its BYOB policy, which adds to the fun and unique dining experience.
Wow dude. It's all there. Perfect execution of traditional recipes. It's the best Italian on the North Shore, but it also contends with the rest of the country. I love this place and can't wait to come back and try other stuff. Chicken parmesan is perfect, chicken francese is perfect, excellent environment. Just a great time.
Dallin N — Google review
Amazing little gem of a neighborhood place in the heart of historic Marblehead. Seats about 22 people total inside, so get your reservation locked down and bring your favorite bottle of wine to complement the meal. Some of the occasional negative reviews of this place are shameful and totally unworthy from my experience. The gnocchi in “the Little Store Gnocchi” dish was melt in your mouth perfection. Best I ever had in the USA (I have been to Italy 40+ times). The mushrooms, truffle oil and Alfredo-like sauce (it’s better than classic Alfredo … smoother, less sticky, less fatty, more garlicky - and scrumptious… it was so tasty, I could drink the remnants like a divine soup — and frankly, I did! The Veal Marsala was tender and seasoned perfectly, coated in tasty mushrooms and a dark Marsala sauce that was done with just the right balance of sweet and savory. My wife had the Seafood Di Mare that was piled high in a skillet full of calamari, shrimp, mussels and scallops on top of homemade fettuccine. The white wine sauce this was bathing in was a little tame for the magnitude of the dish - good, just not spectacular. All in all, we loved our food so much that we ordered a Haddock Francese “to go” so we can have it the following night and expand our Little Store palate. The ambiance is cute and quaint, old school pictures on the wall in unmatched frames that you would find at a garage sale. I felt like I was in a neighborhood ristorante in Tuscany. We saw only 1 employee all night and she was a hustler (in a great way). She did everything … never stopped buzzing around to take care of a full restaurant— not to mention a thriving takeout business (folks … please tip this gal even when ordering takeout - she is busting her tail for you!). I love the BYOB approach because I always have lots of wine at the house - I don’t need to spend an additional $100 on a $40 bottle of wine when I go out. One last comment - this is an adorable romantic place - unless the guests who visit make it otherwise. I was there with my wife, as were several other husbands enjoying a relatively quiet night out with their significant others. One younger group of 5 friends took the center table, and as the alcohol consumption rose, the conversation volume crescendoed to the point of shouting just to be heard across the table. A neighboring gentleman intervened and asked one particular girl to please stop shouting. He was right to do this - and to the girl’s credit — she apologized, took it down a couple notches, and the rest of the evening was so pleasant for everyone. I am appreciative that she took it so well (enjoying one’s self is a sign and the GOAL of any great restaurant). I say this just to remind people - restaurants are only as pleasant and romantic as the guests who honor them. By all means - celebrate life and friendship … but be wary of your surroundings when your neighbors are just an arm’s length away. God bless the Little Store — Marbleheaders are sooooo lucky to have her !

The atmosphere was fine. Service okay. Meal meh. I had cacio e Pepe. It was very dry, too dry. I’ve had this dish in Rome and they add pasta water to the pan so the pasta doesn’t stick together or get stuck in one’s throat. None added here. Just dry. The veal was very good, tender inside crunchy outside. Won’t return.

Tiny place, maybe 7 or 8 tables. We showed up before they opened and there was already people in line waiting so I would suggest calling ahead. They offer home made pasta and BYOB which was a first for me. I got the chicken Parm was good and would go again.

I got the Chicken Marsala and it's pretty disappointing. The sauce is way too sweet, underseasoned, and not savory. And it's way too thin, usually it would be reduced more. The chicken itself isn't bad just kinda bland. I'm bummed cuz I love Marsala and I heard great things about this restaurant.

We hit all the recommended places our first couple days in marblehead, we continued to search for additional experiences to try. Our last afternoon we found this little place within walking distance (as most places are in marblehead) and reviews seemed good. Luckily they weren't busy so we didn't need a reservation at that time. After entering we were happily surprised by the decor and menu options, yet somehow we were even more surprised by our appetizers and then our entrées. After being told at another place our first night in marblehead that no restaurants served bread pudding, we ordered two when our server told us they had it (and they fresh and delicious). Had we been in town any longer we definitely would have returned to try some other options. We plan to be back in the area in the spring and we'll be making sure we have reservations.

BYOB. Yes you read correctly, this place does not serve alcohol and they encourage you to bring your own to consume with dinner! This is a really really fun place. It’s extremely unique and it was an absolute blast to eat here. The small dinning area made me feel as if I were back home with family surrounding me instead of strangers. Everyone having fun and talking is a great change of pace from other hush hush stuffy restaurants. This would be a fantastic first date spot. The service was awesome and we were seated right away. They have an assortment of canned soda or sparking/still water if you didn’t byob. The food. The first thing brought to the table was a HOT AND FRESH loaf of rye bread with a pesto garlic oil dip to share. This was the best bread and oil combo unlike any restaurant I’ve had before. They nailed the simple spaghetti and meatballs and the crab ravioli was off the charts good. I highly suggest this restaurant.

Atomic Cafe is a delightful coffee shop that captures the essence of a cozy neighborhood hangout. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, it stands out from typical chain cafes, offering an authentic local vibe reminiscent of college town cafés. The highlight here is undoubtedly the coffee, made from responsibly sourced beans roasted locally to perfection. While their food menu complements the experience nicely, it's the consistently excellent brews that truly shine.
I'm a daily visitor to this best of breed coffee shop. The joint feels warm and inviting without the pretension of the chain cafes. Their food is also a plus, but the coffee is the real star of the show. Roasted locally from responsibly sourced beans, all of the variety they offer is consistently good and worthy of your attention.

This cozy industrial chic neighborhood coffee house located right next to the small town theatre/playhouse is a gem that reminds me of a college town café. I went on the 4th of July, and it was extremely disorganized. The shop wasn’t that busy at the time, however it was extremely understaffed, and only one drink was being made at once because the two workers seemed extremely confused. There were pre-bought containers of popping boba on the counter. I ordered an plain iced tea with popping boba, and it was watered down with more water then iced tea. I also waited over 20 minutes for my one drink, which tasted more like water then tea. Hopefully they get more organized in the future, but it wasn’t worth the money

This was definitely not what I expected. While I didn’t anticipate it to be as vibrant nor photogenic as the photo on Uber, I did expect it to more closely resemble what was advertised on the app with actual slices of salmon (and not bits). This felt visually misleading, and I’m not sure whether to blame the restaurant, Uber or even myself for ordering. Either way, I won’t be ordering this sandwich again. I’ll probably try a different sandwich next time. Giving 2 stars since I’m sure the staff was excellent and the food did come quickly, however product was not as expected given no description besides Uber photo reference.

Was driving by at just past 10 am with a hungry belly, figured "Why not, it's Friday". 2 very nice ladies were behind the counter, and a few folks in line. I was asked if I was ready to order, and was let known breakfast or lunch is not a problem. I went with the Mixed Marriage sandwich. This beauty had the meats, brisket, bacon, ham, and some veggies with a horseradish sauce on an onion roll. Sandwich was a thing of beauty, well made, not too messy, and quality ingredients in proper proportions. The only critique I have is the pickle was a bit lack luster. I wish I took a picture, but I wasn't expecting a sandwich with brisket to be that good at 10am. I plan to stop and try more specialty sandwiches if I am in the area again, and recommend anyone reading this review do the same. Evan's Deli has the meats!

I like the vibe on this place generally. They have a great beer selection, even if it's a little IPA heavy. The food is the real revelation here. The menu is smart with unique takes on staple menu items like their braised buffalo chicken wings. They taste terrific, but are so different from your standard wing experience. If there is a knock on this joint it's the condition of the bar. It's run down and feels dirty, even if it's not. The service makes up for that, but not completely. Great stop on your Marblehead pub crawl, to be sure.

Literally the best carbonara I've ever had. The pizza was also out of this world. This is such a gem, wonderful food and the staff were great. I'd be here all the time if I lived in Marblehead - or even Massachusetts!

Had two pizzas here last night, and they both were delicious. The fig and prosciutto pizza was definitely our favorite, and the Bolo was good as well. The key here is the crust, truly yummy. I do wish it was slightly crispier on the bottom, but that is a small note. Also, those wishing to dine in, only four tables, be aware. I look forward to trying the pasta here as well. Highly recommend and will be back.

A very cozy and family place. The pizza is absolutely delicious, with a light crust and an excellent combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, including amazing pasta and desserts. You can really tell everything is made with care. I highly recommend it and will definitely be a regular customer!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time! Pizza looked delicious. I’ve been here 4-5 times now, mostly during the down hours between 2-5pm and it takes about 35 minutes to make 1 sandwich. I understand calling in during the rush but at 2:30?! Foods great, just prepare to wait.

Pizza was great! Definitely recommend going in rather than take out, we had it delivered with DoorDash and while it was still great, I do think it would have been better in restaurant while it was fresh.
Angelique P — Google review
I’ve given this place about 5 chances to win me over with their pizza because they are really nice people. Unfortunately all the times I’ve had their pizza I couldn’t help but find them very bland. I’ve tried their margarita pizza, sausage pizza and even a specialty pizza but they always seem to be missing something taste wise. They’ve been in business for some time now so I might just not get the appeal. I don’t think it’s the pizza for me.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Marblehead and found this place walking around the neighborhood. We would absolutely go back just to eat there! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was a complete vibe. They had great music on and even though we came in near closing the staff served us with smiles. They left an impression and a great memory for us. Thank you!

Rip Tide is a charming dive bar nestled amidst an array of pricey eateries, offering affordable beverages and typical pub fare. With its gritty ambiance and unpretentious atmosphere, it stands out as a local favorite in the area. Patrons can indulge in cold, flavorful Murphy's beer straight from the tap while enjoying classic American cheeseburgers. The establishment caters to sports enthusiasts as they can catch live games of the Celtics and Bruins.
Great food- homemade mozzarella sticks with homemade tomato sauce, perfectly cooked steak tips. Service and atmosphere wonderful. Nice wine choices too. Congratulations

I didnt say anything when one of their bartenders added more money to my tip than I gave, I didn’t say anything when one of their off hours bartenders pulled out a knife. I just continued to go there, be polite to staff, over spend and overtip. If you’re looking for a dive with good vibes try maddies or 3 cod. Looking for a great cocktail? Go to the hidden door. Looking to be treated like a nuisance? Go to the rip.

Maria's Gourmet has truly made a name for itself as a premier catering service, perfect for any occasion. Recently, they catered an event celebrating the arts in Somerville, impressing a crowd of 120 with their exquisite dishes. Guests raved about the outstanding salmon and perfectly cooked chicken, alongside delightful side dishes that stole the show. Maria’s attention to detail and professionalism shone through every aspect of the presentation. In another instance, Maria's Gourmet delivered exceptional service for a surprise birthday party.
Recently had a tragic community event and needed to cater a lunch quickly, easily and ensure it was delicious. Maria came to the rescue! Within an hour I had a menu and quote, 36hrs later I had 30 people and an amazing spread on my dining room table. Everything arrived on time, warm and they even helped set up the house while setting up the food and coffee station. Exceptional experience- highly recommend!

Maria and her staff are fantastic to work with! They went above and beyond to design and bake a unique, yummy, beautiful and fun birthday platter. A real pleasure and excellent customer service follow through. So nice to get this personal touch AND have delicious food. Maria’s Gourmet is a real gem to have on the North Shore!

I had Maria's cater a surprise birthday for my wife and they absolutely crushed it. Delivery was right on time, the gentlemen stuck around to help set up the food and made sure we had everything we needed. There was also a mix-up to my benefit, while I ordered half trays of 2 entrees they provided me with full trays of both and did not charge extra for it. It was so nice of them and gave us plenty of leftovers. Now to the good part. The Food. Every single dish we had was amazing. We had buffalo chicken dip, the brie puff pastry, crostini's with tomato and a bacon cream cheese spread, salmon over orzo, italian chicken pasta and tiramisu. Everyone was asking where the food came and gave endless compliments. Maria's definitely earned a return customer and I will be telling anyone that asks about food for events to go there. If I could offer any recommendations it would be to hand out business cards on deliveries.

I ordered a lunch for our Faculty/Staff End of Year luncheon from Maria's. I worked with Claudia to plan the meal as we have a number of dietary restrictions that we work around. They were willing to adjust and make sure that everything was prepared how we needed it. The eggplant parmesan and the gnocchi with pesto sauce were amazing! The large garden salad was perfect! For dessert we had three different types of cookies and they were a hit. The gluten free cookies that we needed were packaged separately and were delicious! Payment was easy, pick up was easy and the hot food was hot and the cold food cold when we set it out for our faculty! We can't recommend Maria's Gourmet for your small (or large) catered event!

We are so happy we chose Maria’s Gourmet as our caterer for our wedding in Salem, MA. Maria was such a pleasure to work with. We planned everything from across the country and she was wonderful at helping us decide our event menu. She was knowledgeable and great at accommodating my father’s food allergy. The staff was fantastic and friendly as well. Our food was delicious and our guests wanted us to pass on the compliment.

I will definitely use them for my next function.

What a great experience! Stopped by around sunset and absolutely loved my grilled cheese and fries. Great value for my meal and the staff was so friendly. They made me feel at home! I will definitely be back! Can't wait to enjoy more great food and beach views here.

Such a shame. Disappointing. Window staff was fighting. A man lost his wallet and was told that they can't help him because they are too busy. They had paper plate signs saying fried oysters were the special but they didn't have any (take down the signs?). $15 for an extremely underwhelming scallop roll (chips or fries are extra).
Michael C — Google review
The staff at the counter are great. Friendly & competent. Not sure what’s going on with the cook(s). The food was terrible. Everything we ordered was undercooked & we needed to take our food home to cook it properly. Prices are high but would be worth it if the food was good. The location is beautiful, on the beach. I would strongly suggest umbrellas for each table as there is zero shade. This restaurant has potential but requires competent and knowledgeable management.
Mark L — Google review
What happened to this place??? It seems under new ownership in recent years- prices skyrocketing, serving sizes dramatically less- bought 3 - 2 scoop ice creams for $28+ and the 2 scoops was the smallest scoops I have ever seen. But- I have noticed there are never any lines anymore- you can get any pick of a table. Back in the day- old owners had coolers of free water, reasonable prices and the lines were endless. Always so busy! There used to be live music- not any more. It used to be a fun dinner on the beach you could take your family to. Now I bring my food from local delis and eat on the beach. After today and buying ice cream- I’ll go to Treadwells In Peabody instead. Soooo disappointing. I hope the new owners realize you make more money selling in quantity than you do selling a few at a higher price.
Rebecca C — Google review
2 kids meals and an adult meal- nothing fancy- $63! No options for kids size drinks- so you can expect to buy your 3 year old a large drink. Not sure if it’s new ownership but I can see why they are less busy on an absolute perfect beach day.

Lime rickey was kinda weak. Decent but hard to call it that. Needed more lime. Ice cream overpriced as most places are. Service is a bit slow and mediocre communication overall. When someone’s order is ready, call their name or at least mention the item they ordered rather than just place it at the window in front of another waiting customers face.
KarmaReviews2007 — Google review
In all my years of living in Marblehead and going to neck run/lime Ricky’s this year is by far the worst. I am writing this after standing in line for 20 minutes. Not only was in line I was at the counter waiting to order, being ignored with a line of 10 people behind me. Not to mention all I wanted was a like Ricky to quench my thirst. Walked away unhappy and empty handed.

B&B Fish, a delightful culinary gem brought to life by celebrity chef Jason Santos, offers an inviting atmosphere that welcomes guests with warm smiles. Located in Marblehead, this eatery serves up fresh seafood with a creative twist on classic sauces. Diners rave about the perfectly battered cod and flavorful fries, while the fried pickles add a unique touch—though some might find them a tad salty. The charming outdoor patio is perfect for enjoying your meal al fresco, even on cooler days.
Imagine the best fish shack ever with creative sweets and fanciful sides. That is what you get at B&B Fish. This place rocks. The fish is perfectly flakey. The fries are right in every way. The onion rings are big and have herbs and spices giving them extra kick. The sauces are diverse and creative. The coleslaw is perfect with the right amount of everything and not overly wet or dry. The potato salad is addictive. The soft serve is worth the trip on its own with with fun flavors, delicious cones, and perfect consistency. This place is casual "fish shack" food taken tithe next level, the next next level.

Food was very good, fresh, and nice and hot. Nice place to sit outside and enjoy even though lo within is right in between two semi busy streets. There was an option for BYOB days on weekends 11-4. Down side is that it’s a bit on the expensive side: $19 for battered cod and fries for example.

The instant I walked in I was welcomed by a smiling face. I got ice cream! (Yes, the fish place has ice cream). The employee working there aloud me to sample the ice cream and was very nice. Despite the fact that it’s $6 for chocolate chip soft serve in a cup, it is very unique and the flavors pop!!! Also, the cup was overflowing!👍😀🍦we sat outside and they don’t shut the lights off until 20 minutes after they say they close. I have also gotten food from them before. Everything is great! They have rich flavors and great dipping sauces. However it’s a little bit expensive and very salty. Don’t worry though, you can ask for little salt. All and all it’s a great place to have a good time and enjoy great seafood and dessert!
Anthony V — Google review
Great flavors! I really enjoyed the twist on classic sauces. The battered cod had great pieces of fish with an airy, crispy batter. I don’t typically like a lot of batter so I had low expectations based on photos, but I found the batter ratio and texture on the cod to be perfect! Seasoning on the fries was great. I also had the fried pickles and wish they were a little less salty but I loved the Bloody Mary flavor. The outdoor patio is cute and I appreciated being able to sit out there despite the cold. I can’t wait to try more menu items, especially the biscuits. The table next to us was raving about them!

It is AMAZING to be able to get (almost) everything on the menu gluten free so everyone in the family can enjoy the great food here! The fried chicken and scallops are our favorites - light batter and crispy fries. And we love all the choices of dipping sauces too. The portions are very generous - not something you usually see with scallop dishes. We usually order online and our food is always ready right when they say it will be. Definitely one of our go-to spots for dinner.
Gillian O — Google review
We ordered fried clams and fried shrimp with Cole slaw, truffle fries and onion rings. Great flavors, with really good dipping sauces. Cole slaw was the best I have ever had. The cooked food was way too salty for us, so when you order, make a point of asking to leave it off, or ask them to go lightly. Ordered on line and the food was ready right on time, crispy and hot, and excellent value.

Yep. It's a winner. Probably the best authentic Mexican I've had in Massachusetts. There may be better but I haven't had it. Solid chips and salsa (a must for any Mexican spot) and very good entrees. Also flan. It's a comfortable spot with a laid back vibe and good service. Definitely going back.

New to the area, and I am so happy to have Amores nearby! Went the other night and had an excellent meal. My two dining partners had the chicken soup (which had delicious fried cheese in it) and the grande burrito (which was HUGE). I got the chimichangas (one beef and one chicken), and it was DELICIOUS. I loved that each person gets their own salsa (which was tasty), and the margaritas were pretty good as well. Highly recommend and will be back.

I usually do the carne asada, comes with tortillas beans and yellow rice. I swear when I first had it I thought my mom had a part time job as a chef cooking in the back because it was so good. Bartender always nice and waiters always take of us. Price isn't bad either.

Came in for lunch on Sunday and the place was dead. I do not eat a lot of Mexican food but it seemed super authentic. The salsa and chips for the table I could eat all day long. Prices where fair and every plate that hit the table made my mouth water. I got the huavos rancheros and it was very good. I think my favorite part was the black bean "cup" that came with every meal. I would definitely come back

We had reservations for my Birthday dinner. Service started slow with some expresso martinis. They were good. We watched other tables getting bread. We put in an order for French onion soup and fried calamari. Service got better and our waitress was very good. Apps came and soup was amazing, and calamari was a soggy mess, only two banana peppers, breading was greasy and breading falling off and it wasn’t very good. We then asked for bread, and it now came. We ordered a ribeye and crunchy potatoes, and Brussels sprouts, and a filet with sweet potato fries. Food came and looked good. But filet was asked for med rare and was medium well no pink at all. Rest was fine. Now the re fired and filet came out fast and was now rare ( edible) server gave us feee drink and removed the calamari but this is how it went.

This is a very nice spot. We had dinner, and the food was great. I got the 24oz tomahawk that was cooked perfectly. My side dishes, mash potatoes, and seasonal veggies portion size were plentiful. People were getting up from their table to dance in between bites, which I thought was pretty cool. Do it Marblehead!

I will not be visiting this restaurant in the near future. I booked this restaurant for our daughter’s confirmation party 2 months ago and found out a week before they were cancelling to have another party which was larger than ours. We now have to scramble to find another place in a very busy month. The event planner said they would reach out to try to help find something and never heard back from her. They obviously care more about the money then their reputation. Very disappointed in this experience and their lack of care for all paying customers. Wanted to reply to your response. First none of this was relayed to me about a family member passing. I was told there would be a party that’s taking over the entire restaurant. Second your manager said she would call around and help to find another place and she NEVER called me back. I totally understand things happen but this was not the right way to go about it. If I experienced what you outlined in your response I wouldn’t have written a negative review.

We ended up at the beacon tonight by chance. Despite arriving at 5 corner kitchen ten minutes before they open, the bar was instantly filled up. Reluctantly, we walked to the Beacon as the next “best” option. We arrived, were able to be seated quickly, and ordered our drinks which promptly arrived. After having a drink, we ordered oysters. The oysters arrived and were good, very large. No one ever asked us about dinner so I had to flag someone down to order. We ordered and my fiancée got his food. My food never came. We had to inquire about my food which came ten minutes later (his food was cold). Only when my food arrived it was an ahi club sandwich…not what I ordered. I ordered the ahi tuna that came with bok choy, rice cakes, etc. I politely told the girl who served me it wasn’t what I ordered. She said, “it was.” So had to pull up the menu and show them what I ordered and they told me they’d remake it. Mind you this is now 20 minutes later and food is SUPER cold for my fiancée. I said no thanks. The bill came, no discount, nothing. We paid, walked out, and while we did, the two girls at the front were talking about the “girl who ordered ahi.” Needless to say, we will never be back. This place is a joke that pretends to be upscale and is nothing more than a mirage. Overpriced garbage.

Wow! Very nice bar/restaurant atmosphere with a piano player on a Saturday night to set a relaxing mood. Not only were the food and drinks amazing, but the service was incredibly friendly and genuine! We had children with us who loved the food they ordered with one of them ordering the pasta from the kids menu that was well received. Our meal highlights included the Maine Steamers and Clam Chowder appetizers and for entrees the Lobster Roll and Scallops over seasonal vegetables were both amazing. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse which was so good, we ordered another one. We are really looking forward to returning here on our next visit back to Marblehead.

So, this friendly convenience store has a secret that I don't think many locals are aware of. They make great pre-made sandwiches that are fresh, delicious, with so many varieties and is one of the best deals in town. I just picked up a favorite, "The Club" (Ham, Turkey, Bacon, with provolone cheese and mayonnaise for $7.49). How can you lose? You certainly can wait in line elsewhere, pay twice as much and not have the variety of choices of chips & snacks if you like to go with your sandwich. It is a great place to pick up your afternoon sandwich, fresh bakery products, bag of chips and ice. It is also my go to for a day of boating, since it is one-stop shopping for everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff, great value.

Extremely subpar buffalo chicken sub. Breaded chicken seemed to be leftovers and a little sauce added as an after thought, it didn’t taste good at all. There was barely any chicken used, and the bread was a little stale. Won’t be ordering from here again anytime soon.
Mike B — Google review
Great to grab something quick, groceries or beer/wine. For such a small local place, they stock most essentials. Great meats as well. The wings and steak tips are awesome.
Colin C — Google review
Good deli sandwiches. However the counter help is abrupt and at times, rude. If you have thick skin, then it doesn't matter so much.

Best sandwiches I stop by once a week on my route for work I have tried 5 or 6 different items all great best by far is the turkey avocado 🥑

Been coming here since 1999. Good memories this was a great stop for picking things up before a big road trip or quick and delicious lunch.

Small store but has everything you need as well as great selection of quality meats. Now with a superb sandwich and salad counter.

Taco restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a taco experience that truly stands out, look no further than Spitfire Tacos Marblehead. This gem has recently upped its game, transforming from overly stuffed tacos to perfectly crafted bites that are both delicious and manageable. Whether you’re ordering for a large gathering or just treating yourself, their speedy delivery ensures everyone gets to enjoy the feast without soggy disappointments. The menu boasts an array of flavors with highlights like the chili shrimp and Mr.
First thing to know is that there's a parking lot so no need to worry about street parking. Incredibly friendly and patient service at the counter. The food is excellent! Tacos are $5 each. The two I had were packed with flavor. The 🌟 of all the food is the obviously housemade flour tortillas; I could've eaten a stack of those by themselves. The street corn is slightly non traditional and though I don't like it better, I really appreciate the crunchy bits on the outside. I think that element on a traditional street corn would be 💰. The tables needed to be wiped down, but they were so busy at the counter and kitchen that they didn't have time.

Second time coming here. The first time got a delicious build your own burrito. This time it was Taco Tuesday. I got the three taco special with chips and a drink. The beef tacos were probably the best that I've ever had. The crunchy shell wrapped with a charred soft shell put them over the top. I'll definitely be back to try another flavor. They have vegan options as well.

Finally made it to Spitfire last night. I ordered a chimichanga to go, and it was “ok.” The filling was oozing out a bit, and the beef/cheese combo was sweet in a way that wasn’t expected nor entirely pleasant. The sauce that came with it on the side was split and texturally very unappealing. The rice and beans were decent but the rice was just white rice…at least make it yellow rice. Overall, underwhelming but serviceable. Amores down the street makes a far superior chimichanga in my opinion.

Went in for one chicken taco figure it would be all right a small little place it was one of the best ones I've ever had I had to go back in and get another one it was so good I should have went in for a third I wish I lived closer I recommend anybody who goes through Marblehead to try it you won't be disappointed cuz I love to eat and I tried them everywhere

Nice Taco Tuesday deal! 3/$12 plus chips n Guac. Good tacos. Big n tasty! Meat was a bit more like sloppy Joe flavor but with hot sauce packets were very flavorful. Guacamole was a good portion and very good! Not disappointed at all.

I cannot put into words the epicness and deliciousness of these tacos. The Vampiro and Nellie Bellie left me floored while the chicken chimichanga had my girlfriend moaning in a way I've never been able to achieve. Slammed with call in orders and they still got our walk in to go order in less than ten minutes.

Spitfire makes the best tacos I've ever had, handsdown. Whenever friends come to town we bring them and it's always a hit. The flavors are balanced and the combos inventive. Love em. I recently got married and when I learned about Spitfire's blossoming catering company it was a no brainer. HUGE success, people wouldn't stop raving, especially about the shredded pork taco. They also offer vegan and vegetarian taco options, which even our meat eaters enjoyed. For appetizers, they prepared elote and guacamole and queso with chips. My only regret is being so busy entertaining guests that I didn't have enough time to sample everything. Ryan and Kathleen were wonderful: prompt, efficient and very friendly. They're very flexible and accommodating. I can't recommend them enough!

Located in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Eat Well Kitchen has been a local favorite since the 1970s. The restaurant received an upgrade when Chef Alex Pineda took over the kitchen a couple of years ago. As the son of Boston Celebrity Chef Lydia Shire, Pineda brought gourmet culinary expertise to the establishment.
This place is my home away from home. I am surprised I haven’t reviewed this place already! Truly I cannot say enough good things about it! The food is delicious, fresh, healthy, and sourced from the best local ingredients! Speaking of local, I love how Sue (the owner) and her team always support small local businesses by featuring them at different events and holiday shopping pop ups. Service is always amazing! Everyone is upbeat and helpful and kind! I love the bright, airy ambience too. Great environment for working from home, when you don’t actually want to be home! It’s so sunny in here - the service and the structure - that even if I am here on a sunny day outside, I don’t feel like I am missing anything!

Casual and easy-going place for dine-in or to-go sandwiches, wraps and salads etc... a variety of cold beverages, smoothies, chips and more. Staff are pleasant and helpful. My chicken curry salad sandwich was yummy but the Iggy bread was overly toasted and crunchy. Others enjoyed the food they ordered but it was not exceptional. Reasonably priced if not inexpensive... To be expected in Marblehead. Parking is as you find it on the street.

I have to say this is the smallest Açaí bowl I’ve ever gotten. I’m sure if I had gone in person maybe it would’ve been a bigger portion but I ordered online and was slightly disappointed
Allison P — Google review
I don’t live nearby, but I will make the drive EVERY TIME. The chicken quinoa burrito is by far my favorite item on the menu… The fresh ingredients make all the difference in this meal. If I’m looking for something a bit sweeter, I usually opt for the Nuts & Berries bowl… The granola is out of the world! If I’m not mistaken, it’s made in house so it’s always fresh. Their smoothies also always hit the spot! Highly recommend this place to everyone who lives close by, or is a tourist.

After failing to fulfill my online order, I called and emailed the restaurant and chatted with Fernanda about getting a refund. She apologized and said she'd issue a refund but fast forward two weeks--she totally ghosted me and I guess that's her way of reneging on her promise. So I paid double for something (already overpriced, but I get it) and they just stole my money. This is not the first time I have been given poor service here and it's pretty disappointing because I hate to have bad experiences with local businesses.

I don’t normally write reviews, however Eat Well Kitchen exceeded my expectations! Very kind staff and clean atmosphere. I have a lot of family that visit from out of state and I always recommend this place! Food is amazing and fresh always. If it’s your first time going, I highly recommend getting the Carla’s Way sandwich with the Masons Way smoothie soooo good!

Great little spot for a bite! Stopped in for a quick lunch, got the curry chicken salad sandwich, their homemade bread was delicious and tasty sandwich. Very berry smoothie was yummy too! Staff were nice and everything came out timely and correct. A great options for a healthier lunch. Will be back! Thanks!

This is a great takeout place for healthy options. There’s nothing dangerous in this place if you are trying to be healthy eater. I had to PBB smoothie and a coconut almond energy treat. The rest of the food looked very good too. They have Açaí bowls and salads. The service was friendly fast and excellent in helping me select a smoothie!!

Seems strange to call it just a fish market because we’ve gotten amazing lamb as beef there too. Their fish broth made an amazing chowder. Love them!!!!
Kristin H — Google review
I love this place! I've bought fish here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Today I went in to buy haddock and decided to try their market crumbs. I will never use anything else on my haddock! The crumbs were so delicious. I also bought some tartar sauce, which was creamy with the right amount of tang. I don't think I'd use it with the crumbs again only because the crumbs were so delicious on their own!

This is my favorite spot for fresh seafood and quality cuts of meat. Everyone who works there are super helpful and friendly.
Diana B — Google review
The KINDEST people, -and- super fresh seafood (and more!)...What else could you ask for!! We stopped in while visiting family to pick up a "Too Good Too Go" bag, and couldn't help but pick up a few things while we were there; seaweed salad, shrimp and some seafood cakes. In our bag we had Haddock Chowder and some marinated chicken wings! There were 3 people working, two guys and a girl, and all were so sweet and patient while my 9 year old decided what she'd like to bring home. Being the day before Thanksgiving, they even offered us a turkey, as they had leftovers. We will be repeat customers whenever we are in town!!!

Excellent seafood and lobster roll (which has plenty of meat for $22 and uses a delicious brioche bun), super friendly staff who love what they do, we’ll be back!
Saviz M — Google review
Yummy! Home made chowder and lobster rolls were excellent. Good selection of fresh fish and seafood (lobsters in an aquarium). Very friendly staff. Compared to other options in that area, also quite affordable.

Best LOCAL seafood and other LOCALLY sourced food! Meats, soups, etc. Amazing customer service - Allisa and crew went UP and BEYOND to help make special memories for me and my family. Thank you so much!

This 7/11 has always been a great place for me and my friends to stop and get some snacks. However the best parts of our visits are seen the friendly faces. One of these faces is Time. Tim is a workers we have gotten to know very well. He is a honest kind man who is always willing to help another person no matter what. He has created me a better person and Is an amazing guy. I met Tim this past summer and since the first time meeting him he has alway greeted me with a big smile and my name. He is a selfless kind man with a big heart. Love you Tim.

Only went to pick up a delivery order via Uber Eats, which had 39 items, majority was bottles, but Uber shouldn't let drivers that are using scooters to let them pick up the order, they obviously have no room. I was the unfortunate person on the scooter doing this specific delivery, fortunately the drop-off was only 2 miles away..... so I managed to deliver it intact.

Despite some others leaving negative reviews for this 7/11, I've generally had positive experiences here. One of the workers here, Tim, is a super genuine and positive guy. I've been to places all over Marblehead and have never met someone that can match Tim's positivity. I've had a number of great conversations with him while he has rung up my stuff. 7/11 is lucky to have Tim on their team. This store is also one of the only, if not the only 24/7 location in Marblehead. I know that if I need something late at night, I can probably find it at 7/11.

This store isn’t open when it specifically say OPEN online! I came to the store to pick up DASH items for people and the store is closed! They need to be reported for wasting people time and lying about the business hours

Great 7/11, love my guy Tim. Tim is the man one of the nicest, hardworking guys I know. Was in there around midday on Christmas and he was working, I’m back at 9:49PM to find out he’s working until 2AM on CHRISTMAS! He just laughed it off and said he couldn’t leave the store dirty or anything. Great guy I admire guys like Tim. Always the nicest guy in there and remembers a face.

There is a woman that works at the register and that I have known to be very rude, and entitled, as many have stated, but for no reason? Almost like she resents any customer that comes in to the store, regardless of the reason! As an FYI, I have experienced this attitude for years and just shrugged it off and never paid attention, until this evening! However, this evening, this same woman / employee of the MBHD 7-11 store attempted to take advantage of me, as we had been out to dinner, and were on our way home. We stopped at this 7-11 store and I went inside to buy a couple of lottery tickets. I asked her for $10 worth of “quick picks” for each the Powerball and Mega Millions. She then, took my $100 Dollar Bill and said thank you, and that I was all set. I thought for a minute and was instantly, taken aback by even the thought? BTW, there was 3-4 people / customers waiting in line behind me and that witnessed this whole scenario. And at which point, I quickly stated that I thought that she had made a mistake, but she refused to acknowledge anything wrong, and wanted me to just pay for the lottery tickets that I asked for, and then continued to state that the $100 would cover everything. Moreover, it was her point that there was no change due, even though my purchase was only worth $20! Furthermore, I have been trying to call and make this claim this evening with the store, but every time that I reached someone at the store and asked for the Owner’s name and number, the person on the other end of the line would hang up on me! I will continue to call and hopefully reach the Owner of this store, and do not plan to stop until I do. Additionally, I plan to make this complaint public within the town of Marblehead and to let everyone in the Town know of the situation at hand! At least until I receive a reasonable response and apology from the Owner of the 7-11 Store or establishment? Buyer and Customer - BEWARE!!! This woman is a sheister and this is unacceptable!!! Stay away at all costs!!! Any questions, feel free to contact me with any questions. CL

Big sign in window advertising sale aswell as cooler doors. The price is with 711 rewards. I get rung up and the price is wrong. I ask to put my number in for rewards the Lady at counter refused. I said okay and pointed out the advertisement. She says thats not the price. I let the customers behind me go ahead of me while i downloaded the 711 app. The lady at the counter then tells me I'm "acting like a women", ready to leave at this point I finished the download and scanned my app. The price then rang up as advertised. I believe this lady takes advantage of customers and pockets the money they would've saved using their rewards after they leave the store.

As many have said this store isn’t open 24/7. They make their own hours! Randomly closed. Useless. Change the hours or be 24/7… it’s not hard. They are losing a lot of business as I’ve seen multiple people at various times try and shop.
