I was shocked how big the space was. It is a beautiful building, has a beautiful interior, offers traditional Bavarian meals. The queue might seem quite long outside, but it moves fast. The food and drinks come quite fast, but it's hard to get the attention of the staff. There are simply too many people. Overall good experience and I'll definitely visit back.

A must visit to experience what Oktoberfest is like - live music, groups sitting together at a large table, drinking beer and socializing. The food was great, great atmosphere to chill, but depending on when you arrive, it might be hard to find an empty seat. Those seated on the inside of the long tables will probably have a harder time entering/leaving for the restroom, as the space is rather narrow. The noise level was a bit loud, but in a good, lively way, so everyone has to speak up, but that seems like a given after chugging down a couple of glasses of beer. There is also a gift shop by the entrance/exit, so worth it to take some time after eating to pick up something to remember this place by.

Be a tourist or not, want to feel the vibe of Munich, a place to come here, enjoy live music and staffs are really great. Inside looks and ambience is like 💯. Pork knuckle was great, beef gulash was bit overcooked, beer is great. Just go and enjoy the vibe in the place. No reservations, which ever table is free, go and take it. Try getting near live music place.

I really enjoyed this place. It’s completely informal — almost like a lively, traditional Bavarian beer hall. The Bavarian sausages were delicious, and I loved the atmosphere. I’m not usually a big beer drinker, but the vibe here makes you want to keep drinking beer and eating sausages. It’s a fun, authentic and unforgettable experience. A small tip for visitors: you need to find free seats on your own — that’s how it works here. The menus are already placed on the tables, so once you find your seats, you can look through the menu and then order directly from the waiter.

If you’re a fan of beer, great atmosphere you must come here. Live music, food was great. We had a pork knuckle dish and a local sausage dish. Both were awesome. Not to mention the beer just tastes wonderful in a place like this.

If you can’t get to Oktoberfest, come here. It’s like October fest everyday. Beer is great as usual and served with usual German fare. Place is built out like a large beer hall with benches. Very nice family vibe with lively traditional German music. Uplifts the spirits.

Great atmosphere. Was fairly busy on arrival but spaces on tables. Service very good, food and drink came quickly. Oompah band were excellent.

It’s a small area with a lot of different stores. There are souvenirs, fruits, food, beer, honey, and other things. There is an open sitting area in the middle is that square(?) and you can have some beer and snacks there. The price is very fair and quality is great. It’s worth visiting if you are in the city center.

The best food market in Munich city to indulge in the German cuisine. They serve all the varieties of German food and they serve the best beer. You do not need prior reservations to eat here but during the lunch hours it will be tricky to find a table.

Viktualienmarkt is one of the best places in Munich to experience local food and atmosphere; colorful stalls, fresh produce, bakeries, cheese shops and small restaurants all in one place. It is a perfect stop for a quick snack, breakfast or lunch. We walked around, tasted a few things and enjoyed the lively vibe. If the weather is nice, sit at the beer garden in the middle and enjoy a cold drink while people watching. Highly recommended.

Incredible outdoor market… over 200 years and going strong. There are flower, fruit and vegetable vendors, along with prepared food and drink stalls. There’s also a Biergarten. Closed Sunday. 8a to 8P during summer.

The very definition of a tourist trap. It’s just a donut shop with coffee. They attract the crowds with the front window kitchen with the fryer placed right at the entrance. The main attraction is the donut without the hole in the middle. Instead it still maintains a translucent layer of flour. It’s warm when served and has no taste. You need to add sugar. The Bavarian filled donut was a disgrace as the fam filling was only 10% of the donut. 2 donuts and a coffee for €12. YouTubers and TikTokers have totally made them famous. By the way … it’s CASH ONLY.

We stopped by this Cafe near Viktualienmarkt after seeing it pop up on nearly every Munich food list and many Tik Tok videos. It’s clearly popular, and there’s no doubt the Bavarian pastries are made fresh and served hot….especially the namesake schmalznudel. But beyond the fried dough novelty, the experience was a bit underwhelming. The service felt rushed and impersonal, and while that might be expected at busy spots, there wasn’t much warmth from the staff to balance it out. One thing to note: they only accept cash, which caught more than one tourist off guard including myself. As for the pastry itself it was light and crispy, but flavour wise, fairly plain. Also picked up a Krapfen that was filled with marmalade that was light and fluffy. If you’re into hot, simple fried dough the schmalznudel might hit the spot. Otherwise, it’s more of a quick snack than a must eat moment. Overall, glad we tried it once, but it didn’t quite live up to the buzz.

Jeez. Where do I even begin. I would give 10 stars if I could. The freshly fried doughnut is out of this world! Hands down, this was tastiest doughnut I have ever eaten so far! There are different shapes available to buy and I would recommend you to get the circular shaped one. The inner part is crispy and the sides are chewy and delicious. Trust me on this one, you must come and try their doughnuts.

Absolutely must come here a try these authentic and delicious Schmalznudeln. Don't forget to bring cash. No wonder there is always a line here. But while you wait you can watch as everything is prepared by hand and freshly. What a spectacle. Needless to say they are delicious!!! Even my German Grandma would agree that they taste almost as good as hers. I could sit there all day eating one after another.

Schmalznudel is absolutely worth the wait, especially when you get one hot straight from the fryer. The dough is perfectly light and crisp on the outside, with a soft, airy center. A dusting of sugar gives just the right touch of sweetness without being overwhelming. Simple, traditional, and perfectly executed. A must-try Munich classic best enjoyed fresh.

It was my first time trying the 'bavarian donut'. My husband and I are definitely going back to Schmalznudeln when we goto Downtown Munich the next time. Tip- Although they close at 6pm, you might want to consider stepping in latest by 5:15pm. The staff are very friendly and yes, you can pay by card :)

Had a takeaway Schmalznudel and it was very good. Essentially a fried sugar donut for Americans. We got there on a Tuesday morning around 10:30. There wasn’t a line at the time and I am glad we stopped.

Highly disappointed in our experience! We had a party of 9 for Christmas eve dinner and had the specialty menu. The food was amazing but that is all that we enjoyed. Service was very slow and not very upfront about the additional costs. Table was preset with water bottles; we were unaware we would be charged for these since we did not order them. We were served the “house” champagne when we sat down, again charged for them even though they were poured as we sat and did not order them. The “house” champagne for the evening was priced extremely high – 50 euros per glass (we were not drinking the rose)! Not being aware of this made these charges really soured our experience. I spoke to the manager at the end of the evening, I was not looking for a refund, but offered some advice that some of those things should have been mentioned prior to being poured or offered. I also mentioned the shocking sticker price for a glass of champagne and felt we should have been warned. He was very arrogant and said “If you could not afford these prices then you should not have come here”. I was shocked, who speaks to someone like this? I have never been treated like that before so I do not suggest this location especially for something special like Christmas dinner!

We had the excellent Chef's Menu of very carefully prepared dishes, matched with an interesting wine pairing -- all at a very reasonable price. Service was perfect: impeccable but not stuffy. We appreciated the pacing, allow us to savor each dish without being rushed. I only regret not getting a list of those unusual (to us) wines, but after talking with the waiter, many may be only available to specialists like Pfistermühle.

One of my “new” favorite restaurants in Munich! Went on a friend’s recommendation and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. They have a small menu which I personally prefer and it looks like you can’t go wrong ordering fish! Mine was really delicious and can’t say enough about the service as well.

My friends and I stumbled upon Restaurant Pfistermühle while looking for a late dinner in Marienplatz—and we’re so glad we did! This elegant spot, focused on high-end German cuisine, turned out to be a fantastic experience. The wine list was impressive, but the menu was even better. My friend and I shared the chateaubriand for two with truffle mashed potatoes and bacon-infused beans—absolutely delicious. We finished the night with a nice schnapps, the perfect ending to a great meal. A big thank you to the wonderful staff, who were not only professional but also warm and welcoming. And yes, for fellow travelers, they do provide English menus and have English-speaking staff.

The waiter was the best waiter we had during our time in Germany. The food was well prepared and the caviar was fresh. This restaurant is great for a special occasion, and it was very good for sharing conversation within a small group. During our time in Munich, this stands out as the best restaurant experience we had. If you can only go to one place in Munich for dinner, this is the place to be.

A very pretentious cuisine, served in small portions, coming with an outrageous price. Basic carrot puree it's billed at 26€ for a starter. The place is not worth the price nor the Michelin mention. It doesn’t meet the expectations and there's nothing memorable regarding its food or experience. The overall food quality is good but not exceptional though. The service feels also rushed as no description of the meals were given. I don't recommend this restaurant.

This the best Bavarian and Austro-Hungarian dishes restaurant in Munich. Their pork knuckle is a must try, also very good is their duck confit, apple strudel and creme brulee. It's so sad this place is closing down by end of 2025, and felt very lucky to have enjoyed a meal here together with my wife & son.

Absolutely loved this place. Food was great and service even better. Thanks to Eilly who was so helpful and friendly. The menu included icons next to every item for what the dish included e.g cow symbol for beef, pig for pork etc. Which was very helpful due to our dietary requirements. Cool interior and welcoming atmosphere. Would love to visit again.

Our recent visit to Ratskeller was a wonderful experience as our very large group was quickly sat to our table with not much wait. Our server was polite and accommodating and provided service without haste. Our food was presented beautifully and creatively served while the flavors was rightly balanced. The space was quite large but felt cozy at the same time. The restaurant is situated in a lower level having to take a flight of stairs, desending below street level. We would like to visit again, before they close their doors for good.

We stopped by after out walking tour was done. We had no reservations and were seated right away. The ambiance was great! They had live music and dancing. The food was excellent and the restaurant is super cool. A lot of hidden nooks to sit at and explore. Reservations are recommended because we lucked out!

There’s a certain vibe here, you’ll have to be okay with the hustle and bustle. Service was rushed or almost non existent due to the sheer amount of people present (at dinner time). Food was good, portion and taste wise. Beer and the beer-house vibes were just amazing. The prices were very friendly too. Definitely a unique experience but just be aware of what you are getting yourself into and you’ll be fine.

Honestly, this place deserves 0 stars if it were possible. We had a deeply uncomfortable experience at this restaurant in Munich. Upon arrival, we were led past the toilets into a dimly lit basement corner, where 3 out of 4 tables were occupied by Asian guests, including ours. The seating arrangement already felt questionable. When placing our order, the waitress repeatedly pressured us to order more drinks, despite us politely declining multiple times. Her tone was dismissive and pushy. We noticed she behaved similarly toward other Asian tables, showing clear bias and rudeness. This was not just poor service, as it felt targeted towards Asians. Reading other reviews afterward, we realised we weren’t alone in this experience. Please do avoid this place at all costs. Update: This is definitely not the wrong place, it was not a cellar but a corner in the lowest floor. To potential guests, dine at your own risk.

Great food experience. Service was great taking order but slow on bringing the check. But it is vacation so no real rush. Just have another beer! I prefer a darker beer and Dunkel is about the darkest they have. Mostly they appear to have lagers.

A nice restaurant with a lovely vibe, especially in the outdoor seating area. perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The service is very good; staff are attentive and friendly. The food is good as well, with solid flavors and quality ingredients. However, there’s still some room for improvement to make the dishes truly stand out and reach a more distinguished level. Overall, a pleasant dining experience worth trying.

The place is super pleasant, everything is very well organized, and the staff is very friendly. The food: DELICIOUS. We highly recommend the fish. 🐟 Honestly, the quality for the price is excellent. The only downside: they don’t have gluten-free bread… By the way: you can bring your dog. 🐶 it’s pet friendly.

Generally a nice spot for a dinner. I liked that it’s also open until later in the night. I had the watermelon feta salad (recommend) and the surf and turf. The price is more on the expensive side, and the portion therefore could be slightly bigger - that’s where the 5 stars goes missing.

Awesome interior with vaulted ceilings and an oldschool tavern vibe. We had lunch here as a group of eight. The service was friendly and quick, and the food was solid.

Best service I have received in my 14 days in Europe. Food is delicious, pleasantly surprised by the grilled Octopus! Hot chocolate was very rich 👍🏻 Coffee was great. Once again, the service rendered was sincere, polite, customer-centric. The owner must be proud to have a team that is self-motivated. Good jobs guys! P/S: wished I tried the apple pie! Wow the service, the food quality, the atmosphere. The burnt aubergine starter was also incredible! Everything was amazing. Also the guy behind the bar makes his own mix of the negroni and it’s incredible! Highly recommend!! Loved it & will go back soon!

Fantastic food and outstanding service, we enjoyed it so much that we went two nights in a row. The steak was grilled in front of our table over open fire which created a unique experience. On the first evening a magician who introduced himself as George Bush came to our table and his card tricks and mind reading were absolutely astonishing. He even managed to unlock a phone despite a strong password. This was one of the most impressive performances I have ever witnessed at a restaurant. The combination of atmosphere, food and service made both evenings truly unforgettable.

The atmosphere is chic and lively, and the service was attentive and professional without being stuffy. The food is the real star, though—their reputation for superb steaks is well-deserved; the meat was cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a special night out or a luxurious brunch, this is the place. Don't skip the tartare or one of their flambéed dishes for a bit of tableside drama! A true gem in Schwabing.

You need to put credit card as guarantee when you make the reservation. They send you SMS one day before to double confirm your attendance. I like how they organize. The service is good, they are kind and friendly, but the atmosphere was okay, not practically special. The food was okay too, we ordered regular dishes and there was no surprise. You could find underground parking easily. I’m not sure if I will ever go back.

This place serves an excellent brunch with excellent quality price ratio. Brunch comes in a successive of plates brought to the table and includes a selection of wines and drinks which can be ordered along the way. We had for instance some dry cuts, hummus, scrambled eggs with truffle, gyoza, risotto with truffle, fine meat and fish, crepes, etc. I really like the concept and the service. Even though everything comes in small portion, you have really plenty of food overall! I recommend highly and will come back for sure !

This place is a great spot to enjoy some local German food. It can get very busy, mainly due to the excellent quality of both the food and the service, so we highly recommend making a reservation in advance. We were fortunate enough to get a table for two without a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the waiter who found us a table to the server who took our order and brought our food. The plates were nicely presented, and the food was truly full of flavor. The meat, in particular, was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended!

This was the best restaurant we visited during our time in Munich! Mario was an excellent waiter who helped us with making our food and drinks selection. He even let me try the wine before I ordered a full glass. Paulaner beer was great too here. The food is very well made, and it has a great combination of flavors and textures. I enjoyed the cabbage with sweet apple topping. The duck was phenomenal, and the Knodls are excellent. I also had their house red wine, which was amazing. The place is outside of downtown area, it has a great vibe inside, and it is well decorated. It is a very quiet area and you can get there by train and walking. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.

Christoph did a great job as the bartender, recommending drinks and dishes. The prices are quite reasonable for the quantity. Roast pork and duck was a solid dish. Dessert was too sweet for my taste but otherwise everything tasted great.

We had dinner here on our first evening in Munich, and it was a perfect introduction to Bavarian dining. We ordered Käsespätzle (cheese noodles) and Rote Beete Knödel (beet dumplings) — both dishes were rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The beer, unsurprisingly, was excellent. I also loved the communal seating setup — sharing a table with strangers felt warm and authentic, a wonderful reflection of German dining culture.

Recommended from a YouTube travel vlog so made a booking. Service was amazing, the staff super friendly and comical. Even helping me with my poor German! We sat out the front under the trees on a beautiful balmy night. Ordered the schnitzel and the trio of dumplings. I have to say some of the best dumplings I had in Germany! The three different flavours were delicious. The schnitzel was also perfectly tender, with mustard as the binder it gave it extra flavour. House beers being Paulaner, another exceptional German beer. If I’m ever back in Munich, I know where I will have dinner.

Happy and satisfied with today’s meal. The Schnitzel was very tasty; if you come hungry, I recommend ordering the pork one as it comes in a large portion, and pairing it with the potatoes shown in the picture. Steinheil 16 – A Must-Visit for Schnitzel Lovers in Munich Pork schnitzel has been one of the dishes I’ve been looking forward to on this trip — and Steinheil 16 didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, perfect for gathering with a small group of friends (no more than 4 people), since finding a table can be tough. Reservation is highly recommended — walk-in chances are quite low. We booked for 5:30 pm on a Sunday but arrived early at 4:00 pm and waited about 30 minutes for a walk-in table. The restaurant was completely packed both inside and outside, which already told us how popular this place is. We ordered the pork schnitzel with potato salad and curried sausage. The schnitzel was absolutely worth the wait — thin, crispy, and delicious. But the portion is huge — definitely bigger than what most Asians could comfortably finish in one sitting. The curry sausage was superb too, a little on the salty side, but it pairs perfectly with beer. Interestingly, we seemed to be the only Asian guests in the restaurant, which is a good sign that this is a local favorite spot rather than a tourist trap. If you’re in Munich and want a truly local schnitzel experience, Steinheil 16 is a must-try. Just make sure to book ahead and come hungry. (It costs us 36.4 euro this meal)

We were here with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet and some friends. Steinheil 16 was recommended to us because we were looking for a restaurant where we could eat a good schnitzel. And yes, the schnitzels are large, delicious, and reasonably priced. We can only hope that it stays that way. So, the food and drinks—delicious Augustiner on tap—were great because they were nothing special and prepared as well and as low-fat as possible. It tasted really good. Praise from everyone to the kitchen! Because done! And the service? Excellent, because it was cheerful and attentive, recognizing that children sometimes need more time and asking guests if they would like anything else. Nowadays, it's often the case that guests have to ask for something to happen. Here, it's different. And the location? Good. Cozy, and there's also a terrace outside. And it wasn't as loud as everyone always says. It was fine the way it was. It was a pleasant and enjoyable evening for everyone. We can highly recommend Steinheil!

Every time I’m in Munich, I always make a stop at Steinheil 16 for schnitzel. Their food is superb and the staff is always hustling. This is the best place in town, in my opinion, for schnitzel, but I do recommend making a reservation, if possible.

On a trip and learned a lot of places in Munich are closed on Mondays but Steinheil isn’t! Clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan options, generous portions, excellent beer, and great service (everybody spoke English and was very friendly, appreciated our attempts at German). I got the curry (vegan) and my friends ordered the pork schnitzel. Highly recommend!

We chose this restaurant as our extra special last meal of the holiday. We are both so very glad we did. All the staff we interacted with were very welcoming and knowledgeable. We didn't know when we booked, but all the staff spoke excellent English with us as well. The tasting menu was superb, with extra dishes that weren't on the menu too. Every dish was so well thought out and very tasty. I wouldn't normally request any meats to be cooked "well done", this was done for me due to being pregnant. The veal still melted in the mouth and tasted divine. The skin on the trout was perfectly crisp, while the trout itself remained succulent. My partner loved the paired wine menu as well as opting for the cheese dish. Each wine was explained to us and complimented his dishes well. The gentleman who created all of my alcohol free drinks is simply outstanding. The drinks were so much more special than any other alcohol free options I've tried so far. Wow. Thank you so much.

The fact that they constantly tweaked the dishes throughout the week, so no two nights are exactly the same shows the level of commitment that has versions of flavors that complement each each other and way that was possible. The wines we had were ones you’ve never had before, rare, and one case not even made anymore and they were incredible. Pairing them with each dish- next level.

We felt welcome from the moment we walked in the door and the food, service and depth of knowledge about the wine and vineyards was a pleasurable bonus. One of us was not drinking alcohol and the range and quality of the carefully crafted non-alcoholic drinks was very special. Months of effort and care went into the ingredients and they were delicious. We will be going back the next time we are in Munich.

We took a five course menu with wine pairing. Amazing choice of wines, knowledgeable staff and delicious food. The only thing that was missing for me is a bit of creativity in flavours, but all in all - very good.

Fine dining in Neuhausen! Passing by on a residential street, you’ll never expect such a lively and fine restaurant behind the unspectacular house facade. What can you expect? A 5-6 courses with tasteful dishes and accompanying wine. The interior is simple and plain, the service is courteous and friendly. The restaurant is lead by two Austrians, therefore you’ll get exclusive Austrian wine of Austrian wine-growing regions there. The 6 courses menu started with a steamed veal wantan with chicory and radish. The wantan had an incredibly delicate taste and the lightly fried chicory was a bit smoky which matched perfectly. The taste of the dish was rounded off with an intense peanut/nut paste and a crunchy seaweed chip. It followed with a filled zucchini blossom with chanterelles and verbena. Not just beautiful for the eye. Everything was perfectly coordinated. It tasted incredibly tender. Afterwards we had Rainbow trout with parsley root and lemon verbena. The main course was a top dish of Poltinger lamb with smoky peppers, onion confit and filled eggplant. Incredible tasteful and served with a strong red wine. The Alpine cheese from Affineur jamei with figs and brown bread in-between was a light course and made you already curious about the next dish. The crowning glory of the evening was an almond cake and white chocolate mousse with plums. The accompanying wine was always matched perfectly to the nuances of the different flavours. All in all a great dining experience! Important: If you want the menu served with accompanying wine, you’ll need to ask for that on an explicit way, otherwise you just get any wine served which doesn’t really match with the dish. Tip: Come and have the smaller 3-course evening meal (limited stay until 7:30 p.m.).

Great place for a fine dining experience in Munich. On a weekend break and decided to experience a finer dining restaurant on the Saturday. Small/cosy place, staff very friendly and knowledgable. English menu available. The food speaks for itself. More affordable fine dining than the actual Michelin starred restaurants and would definitely return. Different menu daily/weekly.

I don’t know how to explain how incredible Broeding is. From the impeccable food to the perfect wine pairings, everything was remarkable. Just walk in and let them bring you on an amazing experience. Absolutely earned the Michelin rating - no hype here, just amazing food and wine!

Great atmosphere and interior design. I liked the indirect lighting a lot. The Sojamedallions with sauce, mini-spätzle and steamed vegetables were tasty. I don’t remember seeing any deserts on the menu, but for a Friday evening there were enough drinks available.

What ipI really appreciate about this place is that they change the menu often and offer different meals often. Also a great place for vegans and vegetarians, a lot of the desserts are also vegan and taste immaculate.

In a city without many vegetarian choices at its restaurants, this is an oasis. The restaurant is smart and the pavement tables are large and comfortable. The service, while not over attentive, was super friendly. The salads, lasagne, etc, was excellent. Great selection of wine and beer. Will visit every time I'm in Munich.

I had a wonderful time at this vegetarian restaurant in Munich. The interior was cozy and inviting, the ambience was relaxing and pleasant. The staff spoke English and was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive and the food came relatively quickly. The vegan food was delicious and satisfying - I had curry and pasta for the main course, and a decadent dessert with cappuccino. Good vegetarian restaurant with a big choice of meals from substitute dishes over Indian to Asian (Japanese, Chinese). Some dishes are vegan as well. The meals are definitely filling and taste well. They're also offering some good cakes and desert. Interior is stylish, location easy to reach because it's in the city center. Staff is very friendly, service quick. Prices are more to the expensive side. In the evenings you should call ahead for reservations.

Easy going vegetarian restaurant with a mixed cuisine menu. The tortilla chips with two dips where exactly what you would expect/hope for. The mixed starter was excellent with different flavours and textures. The ravioli dish of the day was delicious and the buckwheat pancakes also very good. The chocolate mousse dessert was absolutely not a disappointment! 😋 The staff were friendly and helpful - although we had to ask three times for a glass of water.

The food was okay, I expected more from the food taste both meat and fried onions , reasonable price big portion. Good old restaurant style. Good service. It’s not easy to find parking lot. And it’s 10 mins walk from U1. Which is totally fine.

This restaurant turned up on my search for best Kasierschmarrn in munich. They have an outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant and also one along the road. They serve bavarian/german food. The service is fast, the waiters are attentive and welcoming The Kaiserschmarrn is one with a good twist in other words the crispness and caramelization are quite pronounced All in all, can recommend.

We arrived at 8:45 p.m. for dinner. We finished the main course at 9:45 p.m. We ordered dessert and coffee, but they didn’t serve them, saying the kitchen had already closed because it was Monday. Regrettable. I don’t recommend it, despite the friendliness of one of the waiters.

The food here is top notch! If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful German food, look no place else! I was so happy with the food here, I returned within two days so I could sample the rest of the menu with some of my favourite childhood dishes. The best German food, beautiful interior, decent size outdoor garden. I will be back next time I’m in munich!

We came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't too full. We got a spot right away. We ordered the Munich schnitzel, the pork knuckle with potato dumpling and for dessert the kaiserschmarrn. The schnitzel was the best thing we had. It was crispy on the outside and went well with the potatoes. The pork knuckle was dry at some parts and moist at others. The crispy outside was too crunchy for me. For me personally I didn't enjoy the potato dumplings. But the portion are very generous. The dessert was a bit on the sweeter side. You can get it with raisins or without. We got it with as its traditionally served with. It adds that extra chew. It goes well with the apple sauce and the rhubarb sauce. Service was really nice. They checked up on us a few times. They spoke perfect English. Food came out fast. The bathroom was also really clean and had all the feminine hygiene products you would need. There's also magazine available in there. Overall food is not bad but not great either. Atmosphere is great and service is good.

My husband and I had a nice experience at MUN, especially with their omakase menu. The quality of the food was exceptional—by far the best fresh fish and seafood I've had in Munich. I absolutely loved the homemade dashi broth—it was the best I’ve had outside of Japan. Hearty, fragrant, comforting. Each piece of nigiri sushi was masterfully crafted. There were some toppings, but it was the perfect amount to highlight rather than overpower the rich flavor of the fish. They even went the extra mile to accommodate my celiac disease, providing gluten-free soy sauce and making thoughtful adjustments to the menu, which I really appreciated. My highlight was the snow crab maki, which was incredibly well-composed and flavorful. That said, there were a couple of aspects that didn’t quite live up to the premium price. The seating arrangement left something to be desired. We were seated quite close to the couple next to us, practically at the same table separated only by a plexiglass screen, which made it less private and comfortable than I would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. The service, while certainly friendly, felt a bit rushed and stressed, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Also, when we asked to swap the final course (which was sake) for a small dessert instead as we currently don‘t drink alcohol, we were charged extra for the substitution. Given the high price point, I expected a more seamless and accommodating experience in terms of both service and menu flexibility. I was also a little bit bewildered by a sign on the bathroom mirror reminding guests in no uncertain terms to tip (“You can forget to tip, but then our employees will suffer.”) Overall, while the food and attention to dietary needs were outstanding, the atmosphere and service didn't quite match the upscale vibe I was hoping for. Still, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for high-quality Korean fusion cuisine in Munich.

Exquisite. The cuisine is amazing, creative and simply delicious. This is food art at it's finest. Staff is super friendly and observant. Ambient is a cunning mix of cozy versus modern chic.

A wonderful spot with great ambiance, friendly service and amazing food. Did the 5 course tasting menu and every single dish was standout. The wine pairing is worth the extra spend and is spot on. My personal favorites were the amuse bouché tuna sampler as well as the fresh fish sashimi sampler.

In short: some of the sushi was really good, some not so much. For the price, i really expected something different. And we were ALONE, only one other couple was there. In more detail: we came through the "hidden table"-app and so were on a preset japanese menu. It started off with a very nice soup, but i wasnt very happy with the clams - very dry. The second course was sashimi, which was really good, with high quality fish and exceptional seasoning. The following courses were three nigiri each, hogh quality fish, only with one I had a bit of a mouldy aftertaste. Then we had a greeting from the kitchen, which was a fish-pudding-like thing, warm and very interesting but also unusual taste. Then we had "white maki", sushi with crab, cucumber and avocado with a white coating. The server didnt know what it was, i think it was a very thin egg-crêpe. Then we had some sake but no dessert, which we expected with the price of the menu (90€). What made me feel a little big queezy was the fact that we were alone. There was only one other couple but other than that, the restaurant was completely empty. And they had a sign in the bathrooms, reminding you to tip. In a restaurant with prices like that, i do expect the guests to tip accordingly

Such a wonderful dinner. Our reservation was one of the latest time slots which made for a lovely, intimate evening. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of the different courses. We enjoyed the Chef Mun tasting menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

We went in not knowing that most places are by reservation only for busier nights. They accommodated us and made it work. Our waiter spoke English and was super patient with us. English menus were available. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and it was very family-friendly. The food was delicious. As an Asian I personally prefer soft mashed potato, the meat is a bit hard my my taste, but overall tasty, portion is big ♥️ just the potatoes a bit disappointing.I love their beers 💋

all the food was delicious, the portions were extremely generous too. the ox cheek was very tender, and the gravy was delicious. the chicken in the schnitzel was beaten very thinly and was very succulent. the desserts were also really amazing, the sweetness of the shredded pancakes went very well with the tart plum jam. and they have a large variety of beer!

The food was good. We enjoyed nice traditional German pub food. Thank you for that. However, we were very disappointed with the service. Staff were arrogant & unfriendly. No english menu available and they didn’t want to help us even for a few minutes. The staff were completely over run in the kitchen (that’s what they told us). We do understand that kitchen get easily overrun but during holiday season they should hire extra staff (cooks & waiters), it would be much more pleasant for the clients & staff. We would recommend for sure.

I visited Gasthaus Isarthor and it was a truly authentic experience. The place has a traditional Bavarian charm with its warm atmosphere and classic interior, making you feel like you’re in the heart of old Munich. Beyond delicious dinner! Everything on the menu is amazing! If you want an early dinner go in around 4-4:30pm as every table is likely reserved nightly by 6pm. They have many tables outside as well which are open to sit, but this place is so good it fills up quickly! Of all the Gasthaus food I’ve had in München, this is the one you want to eat at!

Such a great little restaurant! We dined outside and enjoyed 4 courses each + bread (at a set price & you get to choose what you have). The staff spoke English and were really friendly and helpful. They chose glasses of wine for us that complimented our food choices. Food-wise, we especially enjoyed the fried chicken and the pork schnitzel. The lemon and cherry deserts were also delightful. I fully recommend eating here if you’re in Munich!

So impressed by the level of service and the quality of food. We got the five course. Each of us got different dishes so I managed to try most of the menu. The tongue was so much better than I ever expected. All of the dishes were a mix of interesting and creative flavors and textures. It seemed like someone was checking on our experience at every turn. Even the bread and spreads were amazing. And I know it is mentioned in other reviews but I want to echo how good the ice cream with pumpkin seed oil was.

Scandinavian feeling in Munich - the food selection is very little but it tasted amazing. The Staff was really nice! The restaurant was quite cold which made it not really comfortable. Would recommend to try it in summer!

This place makes REALLY REALLY good pork knuckle. We loved all the dishes we had here. Everything pork was yummy and the burger was huge and juicy. The ambiance was just so Bavarian and allowed you to just relax and feel welcome.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Weisses Bräuhaus in Munich. We came for the famous Weißwurstfrühstück – the traditional Munich white sausage breakfast – and it was absolutely fantastic. The white sausages (Weißwürste) were tender, delicate, and full of flavour, served the proper way in a pot of hot water. The freshly baked pretzels were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, and the sweet mustard was the ideal accompaniment. To complete the experience, we enjoyed an excellent glass of Weissbier, which made the breakfast feel even more authentic. The atmosphere of Weisses Bräuhaus is just as traditional as you would hope for in Munich – rustic, welcoming and full of Bavarian character. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a real taste of local culture and culinary heritage. An absolute must-try in Munich – highly recommended!

Had dinner at Weisses Bräuhaus im Tal in Munich and loved every part of it. The weissbier was cold, crisp, and full of character — one of the best I’ve had in Germany. The traditional Bavarian dishes were delicious and perfectly portioned, with that homemade taste. The atmosphere was vibrant, with locals and travelers sharing long tables, creating that unmistakable Munich beer hall energy. The staff were friendly and efficient even during the busy hours. This was our first time in Munich and I can't recommend this enough if you're interested in a traditional Bavarian experience. I grew up with German classics and it was spot on. Especially recommend the liver dumpling soup, platter of sausages, and potato salad. Everything we tried was amazing. Loud atmosphere (as expected), but was so fantastic.

It's my 3rd time there. The beer is AMAZING. Nice atmosphere for Oktoberfest with live musicians. The strudel not my favorite, especially with chocolate sauce but the Snack Platter. PHENOMENAL! You can feel the really good quality ingredients, not industrial but made with craftsmanship. Loved it! Server was also super friendly, quick, good recommandations, always smiling. It's worth the visit.

Good brauhaus located close to the Marienplatz. We arrived at midday and easily got a table for a large group. We ordered a few different dishes and they were all really good. Service was acceptable and some English is spoken. The atmosphere was excellent and I enjoyed the live music.

Stopped in here for a quick meal and a beer, and the beer ended up being the highlight — really good and surprisingly smooth. The food was solid as well. Service wasn’t bad, but as a solo traveler there wasn’t much engagement, and they didn’t offer many recommendations when I asked. Still, it’s a good spot overall if you’re in the area and want something traditional with a good drink.

Have been twice since arriving in Munich. They have a gluten free menu which is greatly appreciated. And they don’t look annoyed when you ask for it so that worth the money. But the food is very good. I had Cobb salad today and a burger a few nights ago. Both were very good. Husband enjoyed the steak. The drinks are expensive I think but there are free refills for sodas. Lovely staff and the brownie dessert was amazing.

Great branch of the famous Hard Rock Café, nicely decorated for the Halloween’s festive season, great service, friendly staff, Messi burger is crispishly yummy and the New York strip steak is so succulently delicious. Highly recommended!

Huge disappointment!! I recently visited the Hamburg branch and was very pleased. This one was a disappointment. We went with a reservation. The place was spacious and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered a burger, a triple chicken slider, fries&chicken and onion rings. The portions were stingy for Hard Rock Cafe standards. The chicken in the burgers was so thin it was dry. The onion rings, priced around €6, contained six pieces. The fries were so few that they could be counted. In short, despite the small portions, the flavor profile was weak, and the prices were high. When I ate the same food at the Hamburg branch, I was stuffed, but I left here half-starved...

The size is big, staff are so friendly and fast service and the music is so appropriate. Best of all you see a lot of memorabilia from known rockers. Love it!

One of the best options in Munich for groups and families. We visited Hard Rock Cafe Munich with a group of 15, including kids, and had a great time. The food was tasty, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was lively. I’ve been to a few Hard Rock Cafes in the U.S., but this one felt much better overall; the staff were super friendly and made everyone feel welcome.

The American service attention you are craving after not getting it in other bars. But yes it's still fun. Bar keeps are enthusiastic and friendly. Speak German or not they gotchu. Fun times and probably half the price of the one in Nashville.

It is by far the best Bierhaus in Munich with the best bavarian food in town. I have tried many in Munich and also locals confirm it is the best. Delicious food, delicious Augustiner beer and very efficient and friendly staff. I always come back to this place if in Munich. Prices are reasonable and portions are big.

Had a fabulous experience on our first day in Munich. Our waiter gave us lots of recommendations and talked us through the special dishes and specifically explained what was vegetarian on the menu for my partner. Highly recommend if you want to eat good traditional Bavarian dishes in a laid back setting in the safe hands of the staff, definitely eat here!

I had lunch with my son there. We had the steak and the pork knuckle which were very good. Although we were able to sit quickly this is a busy place so reservation is recommended. A bit noisy due to the size and the number of people. The beer is also good so try it. The prices are logical for Munich.

OMG! I ordered half a knuckle/ roast. The three of us could’ve share one dish! Highly recommended this place. Big portion! Really like their potato dumpling and warm sauerkraut. We find the food in Munich a bit salty in general. Not sure if it’s the restaurants we’ve been to or if this is normal for this region? But you MUST try a knuckle here. The skin is so crispy!

The atmosphere during the Christmas season is wonderful. We went late afternoon/early evening and were able to get seated right away without a reservation. Our server, Philip, was wonderful and super helpful. He made recommendations and was very engaging.

Came here for some authentic local food while in Munich and it was even better than expected. Ordered the sausage trio platter, which was fantastic. 1 of the sausages was very spicy, but excellent if you could tolerate that level of heat. The German potato salad, which I have despised since childhood, was very good as was the sauerkraut. They even had freshly shaven horseradish, which was fantastic. Also ordered the white asparagus plate since it's a specialty in season. It was good, but it was a LOT of asparagus and between 3 of us, there was still asparagus leftover as there's only so much anyone can eat of it. I would skip this one unless you have a special affinity for that veg. Finally, we ordered the roast pork, which was fine. The potato dumpling- meh. Tables were large so multiple groups may be sitting together at a table. Service was friendly and ambiance, although nothing special, was cozy given that it was rainy and dreary outside. Would definitely return and recommend to others. Order the sausage sampler. Be careful of the spicy one. Enjoy!

Beautiful traditional bavarian restaurant at the heart of munich..the food is really good and best place to go with family and friends. Prices are affordable and somewhat in the middle range.

Truly exceptional! The steaks are *perfectly* cooked and seasoned. The extras are also really great (first time we went we were recommended to try the salad on the menu at the time, and it was surprisingly on of the best salads I’ve ever had). Most recently we got the lobster bisque which was also perfection. The cocktails are also the best I’ve found in Munich. Not watery or bland, just really solid cocktails. Highly highly highly recommend.

This is one of the best dinners I've had in Germany, and it's quite possibly the best steakhouse in the entire country. The customer service is outstanding, the staff is so polite, knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. The ribeye was so tender and cooked perfectly, the wagyu stroganoff was delicious, the wine and liquor selection is extensive, and the burrata salad is the best I've ever had. I would come to this restaurant every weekend if I could.

What can I say! I’m a Carnivore and eat meat for a living! I’ve tried many restaurants around the world but this place is simply the best! An amazing serious well cooked steak, so tasty with flavour! The truffle mash just topped it off for me! Add to that, the amazing cocktails from Matea behind the bar, there’s a reason why it has the 5 star reviews. Highly recommend for any person who enjoys a steak.

The steaks are living up to the expectations. I would recommend to only order starters when you can share as a group, since the starters are quite large. Since they have over 250 different gins, I would recommend to try some of the gin tonics as well

Love the steak, particularly ribeye, with crust. It's well grilled to perfection. Even the side-dish mushroom and salmon are also well prepared. The place is just too dark inside.

Will give 4 stars just for the noise . Food and service 5 stars . They can invite a sound engineer to fix the loudness . Nice place with good food and friendly people but it can get really noisy when it’s busy. Better to go earlier or on a quiet night. The service is good and there are a lot of Greek staff who make you feel welcome. Overall, nice spot for a steak or drink, just not the best if you’re looking for a calm dinner.

Schnitzel heaven! Huge range of schnitzels in a lovely outside courtyard under large parasols. Lots of other dishes as well. Good service. Cash only tho. Also the schnitzels are HUGE - really can share one between two. We had to leave lots as ordered one each.

Excellent food and extremely large portions. There is a large selection of schnitzels to choose from, despite the English menu description seemingly same, one can actually taste the difference in marinade. The pork wasn't dry, and the included side (I chose potato-cucumber salad) paired well with the cutlet. The prices were a lot cheaper than some restaurants closer to the city center, not to mention bigger portions. Depending on one's appetite, might want to share a portion, to leave room for dessert, which I unfortunately didn't leave room for. A must visit for those craving schnitzels!

If you’re craving a nice, huge schnitzel, this is definitely the place for you. First, be aware that payment is cash only and no reservations are allowed. There’s usually a queue outside, so you may have to wait for a seat — but I can only recommend that you do, because it will be totally worth it. The star of the restaurant is the schnitzel, and they offer several different marinades, each with its own tasty twist. So don’t bother trying other dishes — just go for the schnitzel. I always choose the “Spezial”, and it’s always incredibly delicious. The schnitzel itself is thin, with a golden, crispy crust. Portions are huge, so consider sharing one if you don’t eat that much. Moreover, the prices are very fair considering the size of the portions and its location. I cannot recommend this place enough — I’m salivating as I write this — so go and have the best schnitzel of your life.

I heard a lot about this place and maybe it didn’t meet my extremely high expectations! We ordered bavarian schnitzel, champions schnitzel and shrimp plate, salad and extra champions cream sauce. Food was Ok, our friends were much happier with champions schnitzel and shrimp plate Food The gardan was nice and staff were in hurry .

I had the schnitzel with peppercorn sauce and my husband had the mushroom sauce. It was delicious and I felt I was eating an excellent example f this German staple. Be aware they don’t take bookings and I thinks the Germans earlish so plan your arrival accordingly. We arrived at 19:15, there were 7 people in front of us who assured us it was worth the wait. We got in at 19:55 and it would have been later if the 3 people in front of us hadn’t let us sit at the 6 person table. If we had known we would have gone for a drink and arrived at 20:15 when the queue was practically gone. We had 2 beers each. Service was quick and v friendly.

I was with 2 other friends and we arrived at around 6pm. We had to wait for a bit for a table to free up since they don’t do reservations, so I wouldn’t recommend going with a large group of people. The food was pretty good, the main dishes were around 20-25€ and drinks (we had non-alcoholic and beer) were around 3-6€. I had a champignon sauce schnitzel; one of my friends had a fish dish; and the other one had a cordon bleu (kind of like a schnitzel with filling). I’d recommend getting the cordon bleu, since it was a large portion with a lot of filling, and I thought the schnitzel was a little dry (even with the sauce). The side dishes (fries and salad) were included. The service was fast and they kindly packed our leftovers for us. Overall, it was a very nice experience, I’d love to go again!

My first day in Munich and I went straight to this place. A local recommended me to try the Schnitzel with potato salad and some Staten Beer. I sat at the outside area - the beer garden which was nice as the weather was super pleasant. The food was amazing but the portions are huge. I don’t think they even have anything for 1 person. Share a meal for sure!

This spot is an absolutely beautiful. Shades tables in the courtyard surrounded by trees. Chairs are super comfy. Drinks came out timely and servers were extremely friendly.

First time here on a summer evening and actually ordered food. Wow surprisingly good . Loved the octopus, really tender . The house special pizza was super thin crust and really delicious with prawn, diced zucchini and garlic , highly recommend. Great for people watching too. Highly recommend for early evening . We came many times on a sunny winter or spring day for drinks and usually it was very busy , maybe that is why that the rating is so low. Well they say Location is Everything. Except not always. This is certainly a beautiful setting when the weather is good. It was when we were there. But. They were training new staff ( who were very friendly). But. Our coffees finally arrived. But. They were cold so…20 minutes later we got our hot coffees ! But. Another 20 minutes later we got the very tasty cake. 3 coffees and 1 small piece of cake = almost €30!!! We were seated near the service counter so we had lots of entertainment. Front row seats to witness chaos !

I had a lovely coffee ☕ and a meal here. Food was great, however the staff where not really attentive to the patrons to the point that some people got up and walked away. I asked for the bill after my superb meal and eventually had to go and find someone so I could settle my bill! Ready to spare 15mins to queuing during summer. The outdoor area at Tambosi by the Munich Residence is beautiful, with lovely trees creating a perfect setting for outdoor dining. The service isn’t bad, especially if you crack a joke or two—it lightens the mood. Most things were fine, but we wouldn’t recommend the vongole. Unfortunately, we experienced food poisoning a few hours later, likely from not-so-fresh seafood. On the bright side, their garden spritz is super refreshing and worth a try. Stick to safer menu items, and you’ll enjoy the vibe!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very unpleasant experience. The place was almost empty, but the waitress was rude as soon as we arrived and told us to wait outside until she could find us a table. After a while, she finally seated us, but then completely ignored us. She served drinks to the table right next to ours, yet didn’t bother to take our order or even ask if we wanted anything. We found this extremely disrespectful, and due to the complete lack of attention, we decided to leave. It was a disappointing experience, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t even busy.

Very very expensive for small portions. The service was slow, and while our waiter was kind, he seemed extremely overwhelmed and rushed. The quality was good but nothing extraordinary. We came on Sunday where a live jazz performance was and that was nice but quite busy. Good but probably not again.

I couldn’t decide wether to give it 4 or 5 *. This is an “elevated” cafe, with an excellent option of light food items and great cakes and coffee. Also nice atmosphere with a terrace, indoor seating and a more unique indoor patio. The service is good. However, the whole thing feels good stuff, too much 80’s, 90’s. The waiters, the service, the plating, etc.

I chose this place for breakfast and I am glad I did. The croissants were some of the best that I’ve had on this trip. Buttery and flaky, they certainly impressed me. Service was with a smile which is not always the case in Germany.

Waiter was prompt and very polite. Blackcurrant cordial was a tad too syrupy and sweet but the pancakes were lovely. I was able to specifically request a side of jam AND Nutella at recommendation of the waiter, even if it wasnt on the menu.

The desserts here were definitely above the Munich average. But the waiters were very unhappy. This was the first time in Germany I dined without leaving a tip.

We went for the special goose dinner and were very disappointed. The goose was fine, but utterly overpriced. You only get a quarter of the goose, a potatoes dumpling and red cabbage as well as one small glass of wine, for €134 for two. At other, nicer establishments, you get goose with the same sides plus roasted apples and chestnuts for €60 for two in a nicer setting with better service. We assumed there would be at least a starter and dessert included, but no! Don’t be taken in. It’s really not worth it! Many restaurants offer goose during November and December in Munich. There are many better choices. This was worth €80-90, but even for that, I would opt for a nicer atmosphere in a smaller cozier place. We felt fleeced.

Our waiter was so nice and friendly. He described the food to us so well, in English, and it was wonderful! A traditional German, Bavarian meal. The restaurant looks great as well. I highly recommend this place. The beer was great, too.

I had an amazing time at Bratwurstherzl, Jimmy suggested me with the Schweinshaxn which was lunch special and his recommendation was brilliant. I was running out of time and some how he served me my meal in just 7 minutes which was fresh and ready. Its a quite place and the ambiance was amazing as well, architectural brilliance since its from the 17th century. Will definitely with Bratwurstherzl again in my next Munich visit. I wish Jimmy and the rest of the staff the very best. :)

Always love the cosy ambiance of such places and staff are generally nice. Ordered the pork chop with sausages and potato salad. Tasted decent and less than 25 euros with 2 drinks and a main.

Not exactly tourist friendly maybe it’s good with local though, idk. I hardly ever write a comment but the service here is kinda weird so just to let asian tourists know. The food was not bad ,I mean German food is salty for me but it is what it is. But the service, oh dear, the waiter who let me wait 30 mins for order and another 30 mins for the bill had the audacity to ask for a tip? And then lecturing me “you are in Germany, you must tip”? I’m more than happy to tip good service, you couldnt even give standard service, if you were to do that in where I’m living (Japan) you should feel lucky that you didn’t get a complain.

This place specializes in sausages and you can tell. We had the 6 grilled sasuages (6 stückrostbratwürste), 2 wollwürste veal an pork sausages, and 6 smoked sausages, and 2 pretzels to accompany. You would think the sausages all taste the same but they actually were very different! Good dining service

Delicious lunch at Bratwurstherzl. Our waiter was a nice man who took great care of us and brought our food quickly. We devoured the basket of pretzels and decided they were the best we had in Munich. I had the white sausages with sweet mustard. They are undoubtedly my favorite but only available before noon at most restaurants. They were awesome! My husband had a large grilled Nuremberg City sausage with sauerkraut. He loved how crisp the casing was. We completed our lunch with Apple Strudel and ice cream. Fantastic! Located on the perimeter of the Viktualienmarkt, the patio makes for excellent people watching. Solid experience here!

Dined here twice and definitely recommend it. The meat in the goulash melted in my mouth, and the pork roast was really good, though the traditional crispy crust was a bit too hard for my taste. The texture of the potato dumplings was just right. Had Kaiserschmarrn for the first time and absolutely loved it!

Gasthaus zur Schranne in Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers a cozy Bavarian vibe with a modest but decent selection of gluten-free options. Tonight, my wife enjoyed their gluten-free beef with gravy, paired with fried potatoes and a potato-cucumber salad. The beef was tender and flavorful, though we confirmed with the staff to ensure the gravy was gluten-free, as cross-contamination can be a concern here. The fried potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned, and the salad was a refreshing side. The staff was attentive and willing to accommodate gluten-free requests, which made the experience pleasant. The kitchen isn’t fully dedicated to gluten-free so make sure you speak with your server. They also have a separate Gluten-free/ allergy menu they can give. Overall, a solid choice for a gluten-free meal in a traditional setting.

On our way back to Munchen, from a day at Eibsee Lake, we stopped by this place to eat. We served XL Schnitzel with bacon-fried potatoes and Hungarian goulash soup along with some beverages. The food arrived really fast and was tasty. The goulash soup was one of the best I’ve ever had (note that it may be a bit salty for some people).

The service is relaxed. That means don’t be in a hurry. Food is great with large selection. English menus make it easy. After 5pm reservations may be helpful. Parking our big BMW rental was tricky. You may be better off parking down the street and walking.

Zur Schranne in Garmisch is a wonderful restaurant with a cozy Bavarian atmosphere and excellent food. The duck was outstanding ,perfectly cooked with tender meat and crispy skin, and the schnitzel was just as impressive, golden, crisp, and full of flavor. The combination of authentic dishes, generous portions, and a warm setting made our meal truly enjoyable. Highly recommended when in Garmisch.

As someone who eats mostly vegan and also wants to try all the traditional foods during travel, this spot was perfect! The vegan schnitzel was just what I was looking for and it was delicious. Not to mention the yummy side salad and fries which were accompanied by delicious dipping sauces. I also ordered the soup of the day which happed to be lentil and that was also delicious. To top it off they have an array of NA drinks to choose from and although I was full, the dessert options looked great. The tables outside have a lovely ambience and the service was outstanding. Hope to return one day during future travels!

The best vegan schnitzel we had on our trip the last few weeks, and deliciously flavorful cheese dip as a starter. The portions are generous and we left feeling full and happy. We were hoping for a cocktail, but there was only non-alcoholic beverages, which is no big deal, just thought it might be helpful to those reading this review.

Schnitzel was incredible. The Caesar salad was incredible. They don’t sell booze here- that was disappointing. The couple next to us did not talk to each other for their entire meal and it made us very uncomfortable. We couldn’t figure out if they were on a terrible date or maybe brother/sister. The man kept choking on his food and washing it down with his non alcoholic brown beer. I was seriously concerned and thought I had to give him the Heimlich maneuver. And I totally would have if he needed it. We finished the meal and left with no incident. Anyway, good vegan food.

Went here for dinner as I was looking for a good vegan spot for my first night in Munich. The food is excellent, the mocktails are also delicious. If you're looking for an authentic German schnitzel, the vegan option is a must try!

What can’t be said about this wonderful Gasthof. We spent three nights there and felt like family. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Andrea. Very welcoming and I can tell she’s proud of her family’s establishment. I very much enjoyed hearing her tell the story of the hotel/restaurant. Breakfast every morning was lovely, and while we only ate dinner there once, it was also excellent. Great food, and live Bavarian music and entertainment. 10/10 location, 10/10 hospitality, would absolutely stay here again next time we are in the Garmisch area. Parking area is small and a bit tight (and costs a few euro per night), but that should be expected.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Driving in we were greater by Barbara who asked us to meet her in the restaurant. We checked in there and made our dinner reservations. We sent to our room, in a separate building. Walking into the room was like walking into a Time Machine. The air smelled of cedar wood. The family that owns the place give amazing hospitality.

We stayed at Gasthof Fraundorfer for two nights during our January ski trip and had a wonderful experience at this family-run hotel. The location couldn't be better - right in the center of town with convenient parking available at the back of the property. Our room was simple but perfectly comfortable, featuring cozy beds and a spotlessly clean bathroom with excellent shower pressure. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including supermarkets just 5 minutes down the road. The real highlight was the restaurant with its authentic live music and entertainment - it truly made us feel like we were experiencing the heart of Bavaria. The atmosphere was fantastic and added so much character to our stay. At around €100 per night, this represents excellent value for a destination village during peak winter season. We'd definitely recommend Gasthof Fraundorfer to anyone looking for an authentic Bavarian experience in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This facility is also a restaurant that serves authentic Bavavian dishes. While this site falled to acknowledge there is a restaurant there, rest assured the food there is the real deal.

Excellent service, signature Nobu miso cod was overcooked, I was a regular at their Malibu location so i expected to have their signature dish cooked perfectly no matter the location I go to. Also the wagyu was slightly overcooked to almost a medium rather than a medium rare that it should be served at. Service was 100% excellent and attentive and you forget you’re in Germany and transported to another world in that aspect. Very attentive and sweet waitress. Signature hamachi was as expected and very delicious but the toro with caviar didn’t need so much soy as it took away from the toro, I tried to pour the soy out to just enjoy the toro.

Ahh. what a lovely restaurant inside the hotel. we were in the main dining all with a lot of American tourists so it was quite loud. We ordered omakase special dinner, 7 course and it was €135. Normally in America, the 7 course means 7 pieces of fish. However, it is like a 7 course meal so be prepared to eat if you're doing their omakase. Service is excellent, our waiter had great recommendations for us for wine that would pair well with each of our dish. recommend if you're in Munich and staying nearby the mandarin orientational no noted the price so you know it’s expensive.

The host was rude and dismissive and clearly treated other people better based on how they looked. Our waitress was kind, but the service was not great. We found ourselves always needing to search for her. Other than that, the food truly was delicious and the menu was fantastic.

Had the premium omakase. Dishes delivered to us was not accompanied by utensils and we actually have to request for it! Lacklustre. One of us couldnt eat beef and the staff conveniently just suggested chicken for the premium omakase. Thoughtless

Absolutely mind blowing! 🤩 We decided to try this all vegetarian restaurant for lunch. Only when we arrived to the door we realized it has one Micheln star. But since we were visiting Munich we decided to just go for it . We went for the whole menu and it surpassed all our expectations. The service as expected from such a place was flawless yet very friendly and effortless. And of course, the food! Wow… Every dish was better than the one before. We haven’t experienced such an innovative and creative use of ingredients in a very long time. Will definitely satisfy none vegetarian as well. We can’t wait to be back and try your following season menu.

Well executed vegetarian fare (i.e. good but nothing exceptionally creative) but priced steeply for what you get. 160€ for a 6 course lunch menu will get you a place at a 2 star restaurant at many other cities, but I guess that’s just Munich for you; an overpriced culinary scene.

The best vegetarian restaurant I have been to so far with incredible service and wine / self made juice recommendations! If you are in Munich and want to try something else than Bavarian dishes make sure to book a table at Tian! Local/regional and seasonal products only in some crazy good arrangements and pairings make it an awesome experience to dine here. We chose the lunch menu and got a table at the window front overlooking Viktualienmarkt which gives the whole experience another nice twist as you are eating slowly inside and indulge in these amazing courses whilst at the same time the buzz of the market outside keeps you entertained besides the tasty food!

We are an international Company :) - we wanted to do something different for our Summer Event and we decided to try Dinner hopping. Everybody loved it. The buses arrived perfectly on time, the team working on board was more than nice with our employees, I know this requires a lot of patience since people tend to be a little bit chaotic while on a team event. This is my second time with Dinner Hopping (did it once with my previous company), and both times I can say 100% Approved. Food, service, drinks, vibes, everything was amazing and more of what we expected it :) THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

Fantastic food from 4 restaurants including fillet steak, king prawns etc. Really wasn't expecting food to be as fabulous as it was! The waiters come on board and serve you at your seat from their kitchen. A large range of drinks were included in the price. Had a fantastic night, lots of fun and would definitely recommend.

The waiters are friendly and the service on point. The wine selection is extensive, while the food menu remains thoughtfully simple, offering a well-balanced variety of dishes. The steak filet while ordered medium rare was served rather medium well.. pretty crowded place with too many tables

The food was truly delicious. I especially loved the ceviche--non-traditional, yes, but full of character. The radish added a fresh crunch and beautifully amplified the citrusy tang of the lemon. I I'll definitely be coming back for more.

If you are looking for good French cuisine in Munich, then this is definitely the place for you! The atmosphere, the quality of the food, the service! By the way, the bartender makes really cool cocktails. I was in Munich for 4 days and went there for dinner every day! The place is top!

We made a reservation before entering the restaurant. The service was pleasant, and the noise level was reasonable. There weren’t too many loud people drinking and smoking, which is a relief since smoking is prevalent in Germany. However, it still makes sitting outdoors uncomfortable for us. Therefore, we opted for indoor dining. The food and service were both excellent. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

I walk whenever I travel to understand the city and get a feel for the right neighborhoods and entertaining spots. Kull bar stood out immediately. It has the combination of a beautiful and friendly crowd, welcoming staff and high quality food… not stuffy, fun and very inviting. Munich is a beautiful city with beautiful and warm people.. that all combines here! Unforgettable! A must while in Munich!

Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, truly a lovely evening.

As you step into Weinhaus Neuner, you’re immediately struck by the beauty of the space. They have an amazing selection of wines to enjoy and a nice range of food options. As we entered the dining room, we were immediately aware of a very loud American family. As they were finishing up their meal, they decided it was time to have a really loud, open discussion, sharing their ill-informed opinions on world history. A lot of who could have and should have done what, when, and lots of things that I would have thought deserved a quieter dialogue, in a less public space. Thankfully a local young man, who looked like he was out on a big date came over to the group and asked if they could keep their voices down and views to themselves. I wouldn’t have said it as politely, so I am glad he was there. His date seemed impressed, and so did the other diners. Glad that the pre-dinner theatre was over, we settled in and ordered our food. They gave us a little amuse-bouche, a cold tomato soup in a small glass with some basil. It was simple and delicious. For mains we went with the: Monkfish Medallions - I liked the flavours of this dish and the texture of the fish. Viennese Veal Schnitzel - a good traditional schnitzel, with some potato salad and some cranberry–horseradish cream. We also ordered the Weinhaus Neuner Specialty, a Truffled Chicken Fricassee under a puff pastry lid. All the mains were good, but this was a definite winner. Was just a cool presentation and great flavours, the chicken was very moist. For dessert we shared two of their options: a Bavarian Cream with a basil sorbet and the Oven-fresh Kaiserschmarrn for two. A traditional dish of shredded pancake with raisins, almonds, vanilla ice cream, and apple compote. The menu lets you know it will take around 25 minutes to prepare, but that was the perfect time to let dinner settle. Aside from the wines, they also had a homemade elderflower lemonade that was delicious. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about wine pairings for the food. The food was traditional, but elevated and we all really enjoyed our meals. The place has a decent reputation, and I am glad to confirm if you are wanting to try some good quality German cuisine and love a good wine list. This is worth trying.

One of my favourite restaurants in Munich! Food is always amazing, and staff and ambiance are also very good. Winelist also deserves to be mentioned, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely atmosphere and good service. For the price, I felt the quality of the food and portion sizes fell short. The char fillet was very small. The prince regent cake is too dry (but it comes with ice cream and jam which help) and the run and raisin ice cream served alongside didn't taste of rum at all. My friend had the chicken pot pie which was good though - the soup is clear and was a nice contrast to the buttery pastry.

Let’s start with the ambiance. The vaulted ceilings, the wood furniture and paneling, the low light brass chandeliers bearing the royal crown and crest, and the wall paintings make you feel like you’re dining in a medieval tavern. The food is excellent. Traditional ingredients with a modern twist. The starter was veal with a poached egg and candied. Hazelnuts. It was a lovely combination with each element working harmoniously together. I like liver so I opted for a main course of a calf liver “Berlin Style” with apple and mashed potatoes. A rich and flavorful wine sauce tied it all together. The chunks of liver were juicy with added layer of deep flavor from the sauce; and the dish had a very modern presentation. The dessert was a cheese curd mouse with plums, currants and raspberries. With a nice level of tartness, it was light and felt like a great transitional dessert between summer and fall. Great place! Staff was knowledgeable and very attentive.

Had lunch at Weinhaus Neuner as part of the AMEX dining credit and it did not disappoint. We walked in at about 2pm so there were just a couple of diners. Was promptly greeted and ushered to our table. Menu is available in English and we ordered just 2 main courses; monk fish and a chicken special (served as a pot pie). Bread was served along with an olive spread as well as a cheese spread. The interior of the restaurant is rich in history. Believe the server mentioned that the property dates back to the 1600s. All in all, it was a 5" experience.

Stumbled into this place by mistake and it was a very pleasant surprise! We ordered the beef tartare as a starter and it was delicious. We shared the schnitzel as the main dish and it was the right choice as the portion was enormous. The food came quickly and it was all very well seasoned.

We had high expectations for Oskar Maria, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The restaurant seems to try to offer a bit of everything (French/Italian/German?), which leads to a lack of clear focus. The place is obviously trendy, as it was quite crowded, and as a result, the service was noticeably slow and somewhat inattentive. As for the food, it was just okay — nothing particularly memorable. We ordered oysters that were surprisingly tiny, scallops that were overwhelmed by too much oil, and a chicken dish that was okay. Overall, Oskar Maria didn’t live up to the hype for us. It feels like the restaurant is spread too thin, and the quality suffers because of it. A disappointing visit given the buzz around the place.

The vibe here is just wonderful! 🥰🥰🥰Every Sunday at lunchtime, you can enjoy a live jazz concert 😌😌😌while having your meal. The atmosphere was so joyful and cool🎶🎶. The food, however, was okay — not bad, but nothing special….

The space is quite big, but the seating arrangement feels poorly managed. Even when there are a few empty tables, the staff still ask solo customers to share tables with other solo guests, which feels a bit uncomfortable. With better use of space, it could be a much nicer experience.

Horrible service, very rude waiters. We waited for the menu for 20 minutes (after the waitress yelled at us to wait to be seated). We waited for the check another 15 minutes. After I reminded the waiters 4 times about the check, I went to the bar to ask what the issue was. The waitress told me to calm down and that “it’s never nice to make trouble”. Never again.

Not a single remark on the menu and the food. Everything outstanding, the kitchen was flawless. 👌 The service was terrible. The waiter was very stressed out and rude. And very condescendant. Not up to the level and the price they ask for. I pity for the kitchen staff that suffers from this. Will not come back.

Avoid at all cost. Rude waiter! Absolutely awful experience. When we politely asked the waiter (the one with glasses and semy grey hair) if we could place our order, he rudely snapped, “You can wait.” Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. After that, we were ignored for ages, our food finally came out cold, and no one bothered to check on us or offer any kind of apology. It’s clear this place doesn’t care at all about customer service. We won’t be coming back, and I’d recommend others avoid it too.

A perfect place. The Halali was known to me as a traditional - yet upscale - Bavarian restaurant with a hunting theme. Well, it moved upwards to fine dining & good wines. Service people and Sommelier are friendly and very competent. The atmosphere is rustic yet upscale. The location is quiet but central. And the food: awesome. Perfect little dishes, very well done and delivered, just the right size of portions, from a well assembled menu. Do not expect to be on the forefront of culinary development. This is still an upscale yet traditional place, and that, to be honest, can be so relaxing.

Great spot tucked away in a quaint corner in Lehel-Alstadt where you are easily transported to a time and place gone-by. The service was excellent as was the food. Prices are probably a bit pricey for some but worth a visit for a special occasion. Perfect place for elevated, yet comforting, Bavarian dishes in a warm traditional setting.

Had high expectations of this place after reading about it on media and seeing photos on Instagram. Looks like its famous among local german crowd, had people waiting outside.All tables were full. You get the vibe of the typical Indian restaurant that is fully buzzing with people. Sadly, taste of the foods were not the best. Keema Pav - Never seen on any other menu. You could try it BUT the pav was roasted well but the down half of the pav was half baked. The well roasting with butter could not hide the undone down half of the pav. Keema was great!! Coming to the next, Dragon chicken. Do not be deceived with pics on social media. They tried to toss in sauces and paprika but unfortunately was not completely mixed. Chicken was too dry. Chilli cheese naan - I expected ‘cheese’ but i strongly feel it was ‘cottage cheese- paneer’ on the inside. Awadhi chicken korma - this was subtle and nice. But definitely not Awadhi!! Jackfruit biryani was good and tasted well!! Thankfully i stopped ordering more as was not satisfied with the ordered food. Some unique items i see in menu are Paan ice cream, seekh kabab, kathi rolls, honey prawns,lamb shankh Would have loved to tried all these.

Madam Chutney is a pretty fun Indian spot in Munich with a nice casual vibe. The tandoori chicken was absolutely the highlight of the evening – juicy, flavorful, perfectly marinated and grilled. Pav Bhaji was also very nice, good spice balance and comforting street style taste. However, the golgappe were a bit disappointing. Average taste and served without any fillings. Could be better. Not worth the price. To end on a positive note – the chai was excellent. Proper Indian style… aromatic, balanced sweetness, and genuinely satisfying. Overall: really good place especially for tandoori & chai. Some items hit stronger than others, but still worth going.

Its a nice indian restaurant, taste and flavour was good. A small disappointing was the naan which we got wasn’t hot and felt bit hard and mango lassi it had this saffron or cardamom flavour bit overpowering. But chef special or recommend chicken tikka and mutton roganjosh was really good flavour. Chicken tikka had some dips, it was spot on !! Too good ! Overall a good experience and ambience. Better book a reservation, as i felt the place was fully occupied on monday.

Super amazing experience! I loved the interior design, amazing outdoor seating. It felt like home🥹 The food was ready super fast and their Naan was amazing. I had Tawa chicken, I expected to be more spicy but was okish spicy. Mango lassi was really delicious. Very cute and comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming both in taste and presentation:( the butter chicken mostly tastes like chicken in tomato with added chilli. The bread was good but it was filled with something that took away the flavor of the bread. And I don't understand why you'd have such cute plates and then chose to serve the food in a steel lunch tray:/ A lot of the servers seem nice and welcoming, but the guy serving me seemed to not want me there

Awesome food, not a watered down version. Highly recommend the papri chaat. People, please try the Rose lassi. It is actually something that people like in the north of India. Indians never drink mango lassi at a restaurant. Madam Chutney has to sell it otherwise Europeans will think it's not a proper Indian restaurant. Paan ice cream is to die for. It literally has paan in it, not just flavoured.

This restaurant is a place to be: the food is extremely good. Every evening there is one and the same menu: 4 to 7 courses. The menu is a surprise, it changes every three weeks. Every guest gets the same menu. The individual courses are very intense in flavor: there is always something very special to discover that is a pleasure to taste and often quite surprising. The entire menu composition is subtle and very varied, with ingredients adapted to the season. The cuisine has a German, Italian-inspired feel. The wine list is also very personal and tastefully curated. The service is dazzling! You have a wonderful evening.

We had a working day 3 courses menu and it was really, really wonderful evening. As it was a week day evening, there were some people but not too full. Love the bread they served and the wine and the food were delicious. It’s my fault that I forgot to tell them that I prefer my meat well done, so I found the main course not so quite my taste but the vegetables were excellent. The best of all was the deserts because they served the rhubarb, which I don’t like but they made it soooo good. The service was as well very good. 👍

Absolutely stunning, ambience and service actually is at the level of the food, the chef knows what she's doing. We had a 5 course meal with the wine pairings, the amount of food was enough, the dishes beautifully served and conceptualised. This is a hidden gem and as of now my favourite restaurant in Munich. I have no surprise the high marks of this restaurant. There is no menu and U can decide the number of course depending on your stomach. Every course is a charm and we had paired wine. Gone through 4 courses and we 3 can only share one dessert. Cost only $260 euro. Absolutely star restaurant of our trip. Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed the dinner at Zauberberg. There were a few very creative ideas that were just spotted on (i.e. Basilikumsorbet and the dill oil in combination with soft fruits 😍). To make everything perfect, the staff/service (one of the best we have ever experienced).

Located right next to the Fraunhoferstrasse U-Bahn station entrance/exit. I decided to give the restaurant a try after reading positive reviews about their currywurst dish. It was very good! The restaurant is unpretentious. The food is good and inexpensive. The server was polite and professional. No language barrier issues as the server spoke excellent English. While the restroom looked out of a dystopian film, it was very clean. If you’re looking for a good currywurst dish, I recommend this place.

Great place to get your currywurst! I discovered the place when searching for “Best Currywurst in Munich” so I had to try it. Limited menu and of course I ordered their currywurst with fries, it was amazing! Both the sausage and the fries tasted very delicious and fresh! The place was smaller than I expected but it was still okay, would love it if it were brighter inside. The service was actually good it’s just that it would be better if they had more people. There was only one waitress serving all of us when I went there. She took all of our orders, delivered all of our orders, and did all the cashier for us. It was quite crowded when I went there so I had to wait for a while for my order to be taken as she was the only one doing everything for every customer. Great experience overall! Would definitely recommend!

I discovered Bergwolf in my search for the best currywurst. I might not be the world’s expert on currywurst but this was incredible. Easily the best I’ve had. The Pommes Schrank was super delicious with hot, fresh and perfectly salted fries and the ketchup and mayo were in perfect proportion. The currywurst itself came with a generous amount of the sauce with a delicious brat. Of course the sauce is bold and satisfying, but doesn’t drown out the taste of the brat either. If you’re looking for the best currywurst in Munich (and possibly Germany) you should stop here.

Absolutely fantastic and delicious curry sausages, some of the best I’ve had in Germany. The portions are generous and extremely reasonable in price. With the combo deals, the beer also becomes extremely cheap as well. The staff were pretty friendly but it was difficult trying to get a table since it was packed for the soccer.

The coffee here is amazing! There’s often a line, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Located right in the heart of Viktualienmarkt, it’s the perfect spot to grab a take-away coffee and then explore the market. I couldn’t tell at first why there’s a long waiting line to this place. As a coffee enthusiast I had to check it out. Now I get it ;) the coffee is delicious, well made with an Italian coffee machine (which is not common in Germany), the Florentine cookies are wonderful! There’s a decaf option and milk substitute like oatmeal. The waiting moves relatively quickly, after ordering wait for the coffee and find a table in the area around the coffee shop (sitting or standing) based on availability. I would definitely go back!

Just spent a week in Munich. Finding a proper coffee spot was of upmost importance. After a few mistakes, I finally found Kaffeerösterei. Excellent coffee. The staff work like a well oiled machine. The market atmosphere makes for ideal people watching, and those florentines! Sweet, almond goodness dipped in chocolate. Do not miss out on these. Could not start my day without coming here first. If you like great coffee, made with a proper espresso machine my trained baristas, come here first. You will not be disappointed.

My experience at Kaffeerösterei Viktualienmarkt was truly special. The café is small but full of character, and being right in the heart of the market gives it a lively and unique vibe. I tried their espresso—it was strong, perfectly roasted, and you could really taste their passion for coffee roasting. I also had a cappuccino, which was smooth and well-balanced. What impressed me the most is the variety of beans from different countries, each with its own distinct flavor profile. It’s the perfect spot to grab a high-quality coffee while strolling through the market. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. For me, this has become a must-stop whenever I visit the market.

Excellent coffee place Absolutely made with Love in the heart of Munich!! I ordered a flat white and I must say I was super impressed!! The coffee beans are super rich and fragrant!! Very High quality coffee beans and professional baristas at this lovely place at Viktualian Market. You have your coffee on the go while standing but plenty of space and fresh air!! Absolutely recommended!!

The café experience was nice overall, but there was some room for improvement. The berry tart was quite sour for my taste, and the apple pie felt more like apple filling without enough crust to balance it. On the positive side, the cappuccino was excellent and really enjoyable.

This shop is very elegantly design, can feel old classic charm from the decoration and wooden fittings and the stuff they sell are expensive but good quality. The food all look so enticing. We bought some bread for our bus trip to Salzburg that evening.

Top spot for a glass of champagne or oysters right in the heart of Munich. The seafood bar is great, with fresh prawns, oysters and a large selection of wines. The atmosphere is upscale but not stiff — good for a treat or special moment. A few things to know: it’s pricier than most places, and it can get busy, so going a little earlier helps. Overall: Definitely worth the visit if you’re in town and want to enjoy something a bit more elegant without being overly formal.

Dallmayr Delikatessenhaus is a beautiful shop filled with gourmet treats, elegant displays, and an incredible selection of chocolates, coffee, and fine foods. Most of the staff are kind and helpful when things are calm, but the experience changes when more German customers are around. During busier times, the staff can become noticeably less pleasant toward tourists, making interactions feel rushed or dismissive. It’s still worth visiting for the unique products and atmosphere, but be prepared for service that may feel uneven depending on who else is in the store. The quality of the goods is excellent, yet the inconsistent friendliness keeps it from being a perfect shopping experience.

I had a very disappointing experience today at Café-Bistro Dallmayr with my 75-year-old mother. We went to buy gifts for a special business guest visiting Munich. While I was upstairs choosing the gift box, my mother went to the café to quietly eat an apple before taking her medication. I intended to join her right after and order lunch. Suddenly, the manager, Alex, came over and started yelling at my mother, saying she was not allowed to eat her apple in the café. I explained I was about to order lunch, but he raised his voice at me as well, insisting the apple was not allowed. I respected the café’s policy and asked my mother to leave the table and take her medication while standing. Later, she went to wash her hands, but was told the restroom was only accessible upstairs. When she returned to the café, the same manager shouted at her again, telling her not to be there and offering a chair by the stairs instead. When I asked him to speak respectfully to my elderly mother and to be more professional, he asked me to leave the café. This was an incredibly disrespectful and upsetting experience — not the level of service or hospitality one would expect from such an established place.

Really nice presentation of very mediocre products. Very few organic items (if any), factory farmed (CAFO) beef, pork, poultry, etc. and no wild-caught salmon. Worst of all is the produce section where an aggressive employee insists on selecting all your fruits & veggies for you. A young man with a foul attitude grabbed my hand and insisted that his choice of avocado would be superior than selecting one myself, and that if I didn’t like it I should shop elsewhere. I’m doing exactly that.

Pros: Friendly staff and good coffee. Cons: Might not be ideal for working - photos were taken at 11 a.m., and the setup speaks for itself. No photoshop. The vegan cinnamon roll was drier than expected (was hoping for gooey). Decaf beans were quite sour for my taste.

I visited Café Blá and it turned out to be one of the nicest specialty coffee places I’ve tried in Munich. The coffee was delicious, clear in flavor and perfectly balanced—I could tell they really care about the details. The place is cozy and calm, with a minimalist vibe that makes you enjoy your cup in peace. I tried a pastry on the side, it was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive, even when the café was busy. Honestly, it was a great experience and I’d love to come back again.

Went to this cafe and the coffee and service was amazing! If you’re looking for a great coffee and warm and welcoming customer service, come here. Their specialty filter coffee was great and the barista was very knowledgeable and talked us through the different filter options. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy a good coffee!

This specialty coffee is located in a wonderful neighborhood for walking and admiring the city. Which makes the place a perfect spot for relaxing a bit after long walks. They have amazing sandwiches and really good looking pastries. I wish I could’ve visited them again. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cozy ambiance with oriental décor makes it a welcoming place. Still a very good Lebanese deli. The food is authentic, staff friendly, prices reasonable. The menu consists of only vegetarian options. They offer sandwiches, hummus, falafel etc. with fresh or pickled vegetables. Definitely recommendable!

A great find! Most authentic Lebanese food I have had in Munich, delicious on most dishes, Muhammara was a bit too strong for my taste, whereas the Hummus needed more seasoning. Everything else was delicious. We also had dish of the day, which was Kufta with Tahini, with bulgur absolutely delicious and authentic. They also had fresh tangy Shininah (Ayran). Highly recommended!

Generally speaking, the food is delicious, and the interior is nice. As a Lebanese, I was surprised that they didn’t provide plates or knives, only the mezze dishes. This never happens in Lebanon, where individual plates are always provided. This means you have to share the same plate with others, which I wasn’t expecting. I wasn’t aware of this practice because I had always ordered deliveries before. Falafel very tasty Fattoush salad wasn’t great

The food was good, but is it a French standard to feed whole grown up people with diet portions? Seriously, it's dinner time and the main dish portion is essentially a portion of food I'd eat as an entrée. After the main dish I was still very hungry. This is not okay. The plate is also very small. You can't do that.

The food was good, but the portions are quite small—definitely meant for sharing. We were four women and ordered five different dishes to split, which worked well for us. However, I doubt four men would have left feeling full. What really put a damper on the experience was the service. The staff reminded us multiple times that we only had the table for two hours, yet they were slow throughout the meal. Ironically, the moment our time was up, they appeared with the bill without being asked.

Had a fantastic dinner, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was very welcoming and stylish. Lino made the whole evening feel special with his friendly, attentive service :)

Wonderful food in a very cozy and inviting atmosphere. The drinks menu is full of classics and unique combinations, and the food menu is simple, yet very refined. Everything we had was delicious and came at a fair price. We will definitely be coming back and recommending Polka to friends.
