A brilliant experience here for lunch before the train back to Curitiba. Brennan, one of the English speaking waiters, was so wonderful with us. He ensured we knew how to prepare the typical beef stew dish with cassava flour. He was well humoured and turned a simple meal into a memorable experience. We had dinner here yesterday and loved the barreado (typical food from the region). It was delicious. The whole crew was nice with us and with our baby. We really enjoyed the demonstration of how to prepare the barreado.

Restaurant has nice ambience and is located along side the river with nice view. Service was great and Leonardo spoke perfect English. Food was average, we ordered the most famous dish of Morretes Barreado and it was just okay. Starters were nice and beer was amazing.

Nice place, but overpriced for what we’ve got. I left a bit hungry what is not so typical for Brazil 😁 Didn’t like Barreado, meat stew which is popular in that area.

I had barreado here for the first time ever - as a non-Brazilian - and it was so delicious! Tasty and filling and served with a variety of side dishes and even fried fish. A waiter demonstrated how to mix the stew on your plate. The staff were super friendly. The women's restroom was extremely clean and had a spacious changing area for babies. There were also signs in the bathroom advising women that they could talk to staff (using a code phrase) if they felt unsafe with their dinner companion. What a lovely effort to make women feel safer! I had a great time during my stay and will definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

Whoever is managing this place needs a lesson in quality of food, and speed of service. Disorganized, basic food, incompetent floor management, no communication between the kitchen and the floor staff. What a wonderful place!! Sitting outside along the water watching gondolas float by was so calming. The food was delicious and expertly explained to us so we knew what was what. Before our trip to Brazil we were told that English speakers would be few and far between, so we were prepared. We learned “please” and “thank you” and hoped to get by with translate apps and the bit of Spanish we know. How lucky we were that Andrew works there! He was alerted that there were some tourists handicapped with only one language and came right over speaking perfect English! He seemed more than happy to do so and asked “you can understand me?” Of course we can Andrew! He learned English practicing from an app and didn’t get a chance to use it in person much. Highly recommend this place, and if your language deficient such as we are, ask for Andrew!
