Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in the Province of Mendoza

Went on Sep/2025. Heard from Azafrán by the Michelin website. Food, service and atmosphere on point. Great wine pairing and storytelling, had an amazing time with my friends.

I brought my partner here last night for his birthday and we enjoyed our 3 hour dining experience. The staff were attentive and spoke very good English. They had good knowledge of the menu ingredients and their connection to Argentina. I was impressed with the extensive list of Argentinean wines on offer by the bottle and was also appreciative that there was more than just one red/white to choose from by the glass (whilst my partner enjoyed his Cerveza). We enjoyed the food and loved the presentation but unfortunately we had experienced an exceptional steak elsewhere in Mendoza. Additionally, we feel the Cachapa dish was overly generous, which may have also affected our enjoyment of the steak - hence the 4 star rating. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, so I've given a 5-star rating. For the same level back home, we would be paying significantly more. Thanks, Azafran, for the mini chocolate tart and bubbles at the end - was a lovely touch for the birthday boy!

Both food and service are outstanding! I would say the price (180$ for the set menus and 15$ per wine glass) is not justified at all though! I have been to multiple 1 & 2 star restaurants in European and central/ South America. countries that offered service and culinary experience more elevated for lower prices ….. So for South America and what is being offered , I would say the price makes no sense to me

Azafrán in Mendoza is nothing short of a revelation. In a city known for its wine and culinary prowess, this restaurant stands above the rest—not just as a highlight of the trip, but possibly as one of the best meals we’ve ever had. And we don’t say that lightly. The experience is centered around a single fixed menu, and what a parade it is. Each course arrives with that rare mix of elegance and surprise—flavors you’d never expect to belong together, fitting seamlessly, brilliantly. Every dish felt like its own little universe, thoughtfully composed, beautifully plated, and layered with creativity and restraint. Not once did the menu stumble or feel like it was trying too hard. It just worked—again and again. We highly recommend the wine pairing, though be warned: it’s a lot of wine. But what an experience. Each pour is expertly matched and generously served, introducing you to regional varietals you may never have encountered otherwise. The pairings don’t just complement the food—they elevate it, course after course. The space is intimate and stylish, the service polished yet relaxed. The staff is warm, intuitive, and incredibly well trained. And here’s the kicker: the value is nearly impossible to comprehend. This caliber of cuisine, service, and wine would be unattainable in the U.S.—not because it’s too expensive, but because this level of craft and hospitality simply doesn’t exist at any price. In Europe, it would cost four times as much. Azafrán is that rare dining experience where every element—food, wine, service, setting—aligns perfectly. If you’re in Mendoza, it’s not just a recommendation. It’s a must.

I wanted this to be a 5 star review but I have to say that in comparison to other, more affordable, experiences, Azafran paled in comparison. The food in most cases is good, not great. While it’s beautifully presented, the flavors don’t come through in any special way. The pairings also lacked, and I frequently found myself unsure of why the wine had been selected. There were exceptions to all of this; the steak, which was paired with a beautiful Malbec from MAAL. But even though the steak was amazing, the accompanying vegetables were a total afterthought. The salad was really impeccable, as well.

This was the best meal I had in Mendoza. The menu was inventive and every bite delicious. We were blown away by the meal and wine pairing. Extra kudos for them accommodating my gluten allergy.

Fantastic fine dinning experience in Mendoza. The food was refined and flavoursome, maybe not the most innovative but very enjoyable. The paring was outstanding, as expected in this part of the world. The place itself is good looking. Service was wonderful! Recommended

Some of the best meat we had in all of Argentina. The steaks were MASSIVE, the prices were fantastic, the wine delicious. I came here in 2019, I still dream about the steak I had here

Excellent restaurant. The meat was delicious. So was the empanada. The server was very attentive and friendly. Very nice atmosphere. Great value too! 😃

Food was excellent. Menus in English were available. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere was because our table was the closest to the kitchen. We had never been there before and there were only two other tables taken at that point. They did ask if that table would be ok, but we didn't realize the kitchen was so close as well as the wine refrigerator. Everything else was very satisfactory!

I would really recommend to eat at this restaurant. One of the best steaks I eat. Very friendly staff members. The wine vegetables and steak were all perfect. Very happy I came here.

Very good service. Excellent quality. We order Malbec and sauvignon blanc; empanadas from cheese and meat ; later filet mion with salad - all delicious . Highly recommend the place. Total bill was 10k pesos . In the end the restaurant even proposed for them to order the taxi- amazing.

Pls improve the menu. Food was just okay. Chicken dry as a shoe. Good selection of my favorite Vale de Uco wines. No curry (Hyatt specialty) or any French dishes. Overall, big dissapointment.

Amazing food!! Amazing ambience and amazing staff!! Everything was perfect. The flavours of the wine sauce, the chimichurri and the criolla worked so well with both the beef ribs eye and the beef tenderloin. And the potato puree just topped it off. The bread, oil and rabbit pate were really good too! The tiramisu was ok - just a different take to what we've been used to I guess. Would highly highly highly recommend!!

A stunning Argentine meat and wine pairing that we’ll never forget. The team was fantastic, friendly and informative about the food and wines. The pairings were exceptional. The atmosphere was lovely. This is a must do if you’re in Mendoza.

The BEST steak restaurant in Argetina. We had the spicy tomahawk, the carpaccio and the empanadas which where all mouthwatering and excellent quality. Above all Augusto made that experience even more beautiful. He carried us through the night and gave us an introduction to everything we had. We absolutely recommend this restaurant. Today was our 2nd time here and this time Steven was our waiter and again it was an amazing experience. The meat was excellent and the trout was the best I had till now. Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!

We had an excellent dinner at Restaurant Absrosado, made better by the professional and friendly service from Rodrigo. The setting was lovely, too. Dark and atmospheric with just the right lighting for dining. The wine pairing was spot on, and the empanadas were a great start. The steak was cooked to perfection, easily the best we’ve had in Argentina. A fresh salad and crispy chips rounded out the main course nicely! Dessert was delicious, and the tea, coffee, and chocolates at the end were a thoughtful touch. Overall, this was the top meal of our trip. Great value for the quality, and we’d happily return.

As many others have written, this really is a must-visit if you’re in Mendoza. The grounds are beautiful and the experience is truly special from start to finish. We were served excellently by Augustin, who guided us through the menu and shared many laughs with us, making our experience all the more enjoyable. The bartender also created some aperitif cocktails based on a few prompts we gave, and these were seriously delicious. It was hard not to order everything off the menu, and our highlights were the empanadas, skirt steak and the olive ice cream. But to be clear, every dish was exceptional!

This place offers a unique modern atmosphere in Mendoza that we really enjoyed with some delicious food! The beef carpaccio was one the best things I have ever tried in my life!

Wonderful experience. Started the evening with a glass of sparking wine. We were sat very quickly and the atmosphere was perfect! The waiter and the sommelier were very nice and professional. Food was amazing we had 2 steaks and sides. We ordered a bottle of their best wine at the winery.

Spectacular steaks in a really beautiful setting! The outside seating area was quite beautiful and relaxing on a nice March evening. Mrs. Tooch got the Anna Ribeye which was really fantastic, and I got the flank steak with blue cheese sauce (maybe a bit too much) which was also very good although I probably preferred the ribeye. The Mrs. also ordered the “sweetbread” appetizer which she quickly learned was not in fact bread, so I ended up eating it all and it was delicious. Nice wine list. Service was a bit slow, although we are starting to think this might be the norm here.

We’d previously popped in for coffee and tea and loved the romantic evening vibe, so we decided to try breakfast — great value! The service and atmosphere were also on point.

Located on a Main Street and beautiful decorated, this is a great place for lunch or dinner. I visited here for dinner on a weekday and it was not too packed. From I stepped in it felt right. I ordered my favorite bottle of wine and some appetizers right away. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive to our table. Both the fish ravioli and Anna rib eye entrees were delicious, and I would recommend. For dessert, I ordered the passion fruit cheesecake and I loved it.

We visited Monday for lunch and another for breakfast. On the lunch day , the food was good and the service was great. On the breakfast day, the server seemed to have a little bit of an attitude and got a few of our orders wrong. The place is beautiful and has a great atmosphere.

This is not your average Argentine restaurant. The dishes might or not contain meat. Some are served family style. How about home made pasta with vegetables in cream. We loved it! They serve a wide variety of deserts as well. We sure didn't expect to see bread pudding on the menu. On the plus side all the service staff was female. The dinner was a good value as well for Argentina these days.

Cozy, comfortable dining spaces, especially the covered outdoor patio. The menu offers a good selection of starters and entrees. The papa tortilla Espanola was made fresh and cooked to perfection. Entrees are huge portions. Saw one family of four dine on a single order of Canelonni. Be prepared to share orders with two or more persons. Loved everything about F y F. ,ate there all three days of our stay in Mendoza.

Absolutely incredible Christmas Eve dinner here! We had an insane set menu that was so much food, we ended up taking a ton home! Would definitely come back here even for their regular menu, everything was absolutely delicious! Service and ambiance were fantastic as well, thank you for a memorable holiday!!

We had a lovely meal yesterday. Make sure you are hungry because the portions are huge and comes with complementary dessert. Main course is always for two to share. The place is very atmospheric and the service was great. Even though we don’t speak any Spanish together we worked it out. Great place.

Great food and excellent atmosphere and staff. The idea that everything is to share is great. Everything we had was excellent!! And the staff was extremely kind. There are a lot of locals and everything you get seems to be homemade as they say. Highly recommended probably best food in town!

Heard about this place before visiting Mendoza and we weren’t disappointed. Food was amazing, portions were also huge, and great value. Servers were also really helpful in walking us through the menu.

Amazing meat and amazing value for your money 💰. The restaurant opens at Argentinian time, so don't make plans to arrive before 20h00. Our waitress, Janet, was simply amazing, and we took all her recommendations. Get the chorizo and the Marcella for appetizers and the caprese salad with rugula. For the main dishes we had the rib eye pepper steak, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Mendoza has a bunch of steak restaurants, that are also very expensive... this one has everything you want and more... including desserts 🍨!

First things first: we are pescatarians, and dining in Argentina can be tricky since the love for meat and barbecue is everywhere. Even though we usually avoid it, we ended up trying some here… We’re so glad we followed our host’s (and ChatGPT’s) recommendation El Patio de Jesús María was absolutely fantastic. The quality of the meat was excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, and the owner clearly cares deeply about his business, taking the time to chat with guests even when our Spanish is limited. This isn’t a tourist trap, the restaurant was full of locals, and there were no street hawkers trying to pull you in. Special shout-out to our waitress, Janet (hope we got that right!), she made our evening even more memorable and recommended an amazing wine that paired perfectly with our meal. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent lunch at El Patio de Jesus María. We opted for the set Executive Lunch menu which comprised a delicious empanada and ample portions of entrecôte and ribs, plus fries. The meat was cooked perfectly and to our order. The wine list had remarkably reasonably priced options and the Malbec we chose was excellent. We also shared the flan dessert which was excellent too. Our server Cynthia was amazing and spoke great English. It was a terrific experience all round.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. We both had steak and it was delicious! This was our first time visiting Mendoza. We are from Texas and are still learning Spanish. The staff was very patient and kind. Service was fabulous. We definitely recommend!

Ifvyou are in Mendoza city and you like meat this is the place. I come to the city at least once a year for work, didn't find a better place yet. This time I order the "eat as much as you can" they a piece of everything they have and if you are able to eat more once they finished you can ask for more. I wasn't able to finish the round. Meat was very good. Great service and nice atmosphere, thumbs up. One small detail you cannot add the tip to the bill, thimbs down. Luckily Celesta had her own terminal and I was able to tip her. Keep doing good meat as you do.

Estancia La Pasión has incredible ratings, and we were eager to see what made it so popular during our first visit to Argentina. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendly smiles and attentive service. I had a wonderful dinner at Estanco La Pasión! The steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, complemented by delicious grilled vegetable sides. Beautiful restaurant, had the ribeye there, great flavour and they don't over salt it allowing the meat to shine through. Also had the pavlova which was delightful. Only regret is that I didnt order the larger steak. Javier was real friendly and accommodating despite my minimal spanish.

We flew in to Mendoza in the afternoon but so wanted to eat steak and try some local wine that we forgot the jetlag and searched for a great restaurant... and we found it at Estancia La Pasion. The reviews aren't wrong! We had a glorious meal. What a welcome to Argentina! ❤️

Despite what the reviews said, we didn't find good-quality meat: the entrecote was partially tender and flavorful, but we wasted about half of it due to the tough parts inside. To be fair, the waiter offered to give us another cut of meat, but that was enough for us. We've had better elsewhere in Argentina. So, for us, it's not a good place to try typical Argentine meat.

We had dinner at this location while visiting Mendoza. The service and atmosphere was excellent. And, the prices provided great value. While we enjoyed our asparagus appetizer, the lasagna main dish left us dissatisfied. It was rather bland and didn't have the flavor we expected from this establishment.

This restaurant is seriously great. We went AGAINST the recommendation of our hotel and came here. It’s obvious this restaurant just wasn’t tipping the local concierge, because this food is seriously great. The best steak we had in our week in Argentina. Who would’ve thought that would be at an Italian restaurant. The carbonara pasta was amazing also. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality. Good wine selection at good prices too. You should absolutely consider this restaurant for dinner if you are visiting Mendoza.

Great Italian food in Mendoza, even though I didn't have anything but salad and panacotta, the smell and the look of the dishes talked for themselves. After a couple of days in Mendoza, my stomach couldn't afford anything else.. Next time, for sure, I will try the most representative Italian dishes of La Marchigiana

Simple but elegant ambiance. Great tasting food and menu offering. Servers had ample knowledge about the plates and offered a professional and relatively quick service. Appetizer and main dish are the forte as dessert was ok, nothing special.

Beautiful Italian food with a home cooked feel. Wonderful wine list and great service . More on the expensive side but worth it. Wear your loose pants :) And apparently according to the photo i found , Gwyneth Paltro and Brad Pitt ate there too.

The restaurant had a great ambiance and great wine but the food lacked in flavor. Maybe it was over hyped by the amount of reviews. We had the octopus and caprese salad for a starter. The octopus was delicious the caprese was mediocre. The basil was small and withered and the tomatoes weren’t great. For dinner we had the house made pasta trio and a filet with peppercorn sauce. The pasta dish wasn’t good. The steak was good but not great. The service was very great. Really wanted to like it.

The best restaurant I've found in Mendoza. Place is fancy, and food is not only incredibly tasty, but also plates are big. And when I say big, I mean really big, like having a hard time finishing the plate. I ordered a pasta with a weird name filled with "Goat in Cabernet whine cooked for 16 hours at low temperatures"... 16 hours! I know it is probably a lie, but it was the best wine goat filling I ever ateon my life. Pastas are their specially, but you can order other stuff. Place is not expensive, only slightly higher than a McDonald's. Unless you drink some fancy whine that is... Dessert is awesome, I tried their tiramisu and it was great. Totally recommend this place. Be sure to either go early (12:00) or ask for a reservation. After 13-ish you'll have to wait for a table.

Mauricio’s suggestion and advice were outstanding. Chorizo steak cooked to perfection, Pumpkin soup superb and arugula with nuts and Parmesan salad, perfect. And above all, all extra delicious food is kindly shared to the less fortunate neighbors of Mendoza

This was the best restaurant in downtown Mendoza! The steaks were awesome. (The large sirloins are very large- big enough for about 3 people). The soup was outstanding and the roasted vegetables were delicious. You definitely need to go here if you are in the area. The waiters were excellent! The price and food were both I was standing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve visited this restaurant twice — first in January 2020 and again yesterday (October 2025) — and it’s just as amazing as I remembered! The menu, meat, and service were all excellent. Our server was very polite and spoke great English, which made everything even smoother. I had the T-bone steak, cooked exactly how I asked — perfectly done. We shared creamed spinach and mashed potatoes, both delicious. My girlfriend had the fish, which was also very good, though a little too salty for her taste — so it’s probably best to ask for no salt and season it yourself. For dessert, we had the flan and crème brûlée, both fantastic finishes to the meal. The decor inside and outside is beautiful — perfect for a date night or a nice catch-up with friends. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely time at La Lucia. Food was top notch and so was the service. The sommelier also gave me the cork from one of our bottles that had crystalized sugar on it. Thought that was so pretty. I got the 5 course meal with wine parings and everything was paired so well. We for sure plan to return on our next trip!

Lovely ambience and good grill - for the quality of the food it’s overpriced. Grilled vegetables tasted like they were left on the grill for a few seconds after being boiled, some were cold. 1 Empanadas for 650 pesos was a bit dry. At least the chorizos were tasty and perfectly grilled... Most other restaurants charge half of the price. The waiters were friendly but they were giggling by the bar looking towards my table talking about my bill 👀 as a tourist I do not recommend but for the decent presentations, it probably works for a date night to impress someone...

A very pleasant restaurant with a fancy feel to it. The food is tasty and the portions match the price on offer. They definitely go for flavour over style and presentation but that is better than the other way around! There’s a tight menu of Italian classics as well as some experimental dishes that would please the adventurous.

We ate here for lunch and it was the most incredible meal we had in Mendoza. We came back for dinner the following day as a result. We recently were in Italy and regularly eat in Italians in London and this was better than anything we have ever had. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Big portion sizes. It is more expensive than some Argentinian restaurants but much cheaper than anything we would pay in London/Ireland or even Italy. A must go to in Mendoza! The cocktail was also excellent.

We had a excellent dinner here last night . We had the rib eye steak and the mushroom risotto and both were super tasty . The wine selection is great and well priced . The breads and dips offered at the start are the best I have had in Argentina and really set the stage for a great night . Finished our meal with a crème brûlée which again was delicious and beautifully presented. The wait staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The staff also speak English and was great to be Abbie to communicate in a mix of Spanish and English .Our meal came to 80,000 Ars and whilst not cheap ( nowhere in Argentina is) it offered great value for money . Would definitely recommend for a lovely night out .

Exceptional dining experience. Magnolia isn't on the Michelin guide (yet) but it absolutely should be! The burrata starter was deliciously creamy and the peas and berries added a unique twist. And things only got better from there! The grilled trout was prepared precisely to the ordered temperature and was complemented incredibly well by the ginger & apple chutney. Super interesting and one of the most memorable fish dishes I've had in a long time. And then the Pumpkin Gnocchi: decadently divine! Every bite explodes in your mouth with rich flavors. The bar was exceptional as well. Both of their specialty Negronis were fantastic. The Negroni Rosatto was a refreshing twist on the classic. And their Sideral Negroni, with a local Mendoza vermouth, was possibly the best Negroni I've ever had. To top it all off, we tried two desserts and both were exquisite. Their passion fruit creme brulee was delicious. But what truly elevated the evening was the incredible Pear in Malbec! Paying tribute to the region's star wine, the pear is marinated in Malbec and then placed upon a bed of mascarpone cream with pistachios. It is absolutely superb! A must have dessert. Service was attentive and excellent as well. All around an amazing evening.

Restaurant with a lot of potential. Menu is very diverse we ordered a lot of different dishes and every one of them was tasty and good! Cocktails were very tasty wine menu is also excellent. It is something different then we were used to after 2 months of travelling and I really enjoyed it! Only downside was that some products over the night were finished so we had to switch courses and drinks. But overall very great experience! Another 10 out of 10. I woke up from a luxurious nap around 8:30 scavenging for some dinner like a wild animal. Magnolia Restó popped up and I quickly made a 9:45 dinner reservation. The restaurant is on a lively, loud street— lots of people outside eating, drinking, music, etc. the interior has very high ceilings with tables and bar seating available, in addition to a loft that I didn’t go to but I assume has additional seating. Let’s discuss the food. I was in Mendoza for WINE not cocktails, and so that’s what I started with: a crisp, neutral glass of rosé. It was delicious. The wine was accompanied by 3 types of bread with a basil butter that I swear was the best butter I’ve ever eaten. 10 out of 10. For food I started with the Pejerrey ceviche (duh) and an intriguing melon gazpacho with burrata. The ceviche easily had the richest most flavorful leche de tigre I’ve ever had (very celery forward, and I *hate* celery). The burrata was so creative, so many flavors coming together and all complimented each other extremely well— black garlic, mushrooms, and some SALTY cured ham chips. The flavors were all there but everything was quite salty so I’ll say 9 out of 10 on the apps. Would 100% order again with a giant glass of water. I wasn’t quite feeling a heavy entree so I opted for the Magret de Pato (duck). Let me just say…. Apart from Sun Wah in Chicago this was the best duck I’ve eaten. So JUICCYYYYY see that video chile. You see the juices running??? 🏃🏾😭 20 of 10 for creativity. The mustard carmelized onions with the tomato marmalade and the tonkatsu sauce??? Are you kidding????? Everything melded together perfectly and I sat there chewing on it and savoring until about 11:20pm. At that point the waiter surprised me with a glass of cab franc from the famous Trapiche bodega in Mendoza. So fruity and so perfect to go with the sweetness of the marmalade and the fattiness of the duck. Whewww. After I gobbled that up I had to get dessert because of course well yes! I had to get the passion fruit crème brûlée which did not disappoint. 10 out of 10. This was the first time I was the final person in the restaurant. All this food for about 45 USD, I was shocked. I’ll definitely be returning. My waiter was Diego. Pay him more!!!!!! Such a sweetheart and so attentive and helpful with wine selections.

Beautiful place with very delicious food at a good price. We have the black spaghetti with prawns paprika and roasted garlic and the Braised lamb, Both dishes with delicious!! Even the cocktails were great. Wish I can eat there every day!

Really good, basic asado place. Cozy and fairly welcoming. We shared the tomahawk steak which was juicy, tender and flavorful. The chef knows exactly what he is doing! The wait staff is casual, which fits the place. We ordered good wine, which was reasonably priced. Overall, recommended.

Hidden gem! Tucked away, this place is full of rustic feel and great meat. I was so refreshed to eat here, and enjoy a fairly priced slab of beautiful meat, grilled a la plancha. The wine selection here was also excellent. It's no nonsense, not fancy and stuffy, with excellent service. Would go again for sure.

Excellent steaks, wines, very attentive service that nevertheless projected a laid-back atmosphere. We had bife de chorizo that was perfectly prepared (one was plenty for two people). When I walked to the back to look at the grilling area, the chef was preparing fresh chunchules (intestines). They aren't on the menu, but you should ask if they're available. I'd have to say they were even better than the steaks, crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Absolutely sensational.

We had two steaks here and they were incredible. Paired with a delicious Malbec wine. The food is so fresh and cooked on an open grill in the back court yard. The restaurant has a real rustic real and is very cosy. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The prices are incredible and the quality of the food is amazing.

The best steak I have ever had. The first steak was so good we had to order another. Service was brilliant, Wine went perfectly with the meat. If you are in Mendoza and you don't eat here you are missing out. I would recommend booking before hand and asking to sit outside since the outside can fill up quickly but being sat under the grape vines, watching the meat being cooked by the fantastic chef took the meal to another level.

The pan con palta con huevo poché estaba delicioso. I also ordered the fresh fruit juice, which was super fresh and full of flavor. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. The WiFi was strong enough for working on our laptops, and the outdoor seating area is beautiful! You’re surrounded by plants and set in a peaceful garden. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, get some work done, or just relax with a coffee and take in the Mendoza vibe. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in all of Argentina. I plan to come every day I am in Mendoza. The menu is so fresh and inventive and the courtyard is adorable. I got the brunch number 3 with scrambled eggs and a yogurt parfait. It was so insanely good.

Had brunch and coffee here and loved it! The food was fresh and tasty, the coffee was spot on, and the patio is such a lovely space to sit and relax. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the perfect place to enjoy a slow morning in Mendoza.

Great patio serving up coffee, pastries and meals. Apparently it’s the go-to spot for brunch. The service is good and friendly, has a large patio and indoor seating as well. Unfortunately the crumble I ordered was rather dry, but otherwise was a great experience.

The great restaurant is not the only wonderful aspect of La Posada del Jamón. It is a great place to stay as well. They have cabins of various sizes, all with private baths, TV, WiFi, refrigerator, and microwave. Some have full kitchens. The owners are on premises every day. The staff is helpful and friendly. The grounds include a pool, play area for kids, and multiple fruit trees. Great for families or couples who want a quiet place to stay in the Valle del Uco.

What a gem! Arrived here after driving down from Mendoza City to the Uco Valley. Don’t be deceived by the bumpy access road, this restaurant is a gem! When you arrive, you are greeted by the friendliest service. The terrace is magical. Gorgeous views of the Andes, expanse of beautiful vineyard and the charming water feature in the garden. It really is magical. Our waiter was friendly, explained the menu and brought us into the cellar to pick a bottle of wine. It is so reasonably priced here. Food was fabulous. Lunch here was a highlight of our entire trip to Argentina.

Review for the restaurant, wine shop, and service. We came without reservation and were able to enjoy a delicious lunch. Our server Alvero was very patient with our limited Spanish and helped us not only figure out the menu but choose a fantastic bottle of wine. The chef did an outstanding job with the menu, offering a wide variety of choices for the mains. I had the steak with Malbec reduction and it was cooked perfectly. The dessert plate was extraordinary. The extra touches made the meal very memorable. The setting is very beautiful with a water feature and cooling trellis. Highly recommend. Note: don’t be turned away by the bumpy road. It’s a a short trip to a wonderful meal.

I've been for lunch twice now. The owner is a very cool gentleman who knows a ton about wine and takes great pride in providing a relaxing experience with stunning mountain and vineyard views and charming rustic decor. The food and wine are exquisite, and the resident cats, Hansel and Gretel, have delightful personalities.

Great hotel on a small vineyard. The apartments are very spacious and decorated very beautifully - simple but chic. The staff are very accommodating, kind and friendly people as well! I will recommend this spot to stay and dine for any of my friends visiting the Mendoza area. A great escape from the city and near many good vineyards and restaurants. Amazing views of the snow capped Andes, even in the summer!

Everything about this place on earth is perfect. The staff are very kind and reliable, after staying there for a week they were like family. The scenario is stunning, the rooms are simply but comfortable. The food at the restaurant for lunch is dinner is really good but breakfasts could improve. I will definitely come back!

Enough cannot be said about this establishment. It is a beautiful property with excellent accommodation and warm individuals at the helm; a true fairytale or storybook scene. What makes the winery truly special is the staff and owner. They are friendly, eager to help and engage with customers and provide a top-notch experience. Please do your self a favor and book a stay here, take in the serenity and be prepared to be treated like family. The wine is phenomenal as well! My wife and I will definitely return.

We came across Auténtico on Wednesday when we arrived in Mendoza. It was late in the afternoon so we were worried that we may not get in with our large group (10 Canadians). We were able to get in and we were completely mind-blown! This is the best restaurant in Argentina!!! Excellent food, fantastic service, and a great selection of cocktails and wine. Chef Gastón Perez is a creative and culinary genius! You must go try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

We made a reservation and was greeted by Diego who seated us and welcomed us with a pairing menu of the house. He expertly made us right at home and we were delighted with the chefs menu. Everything was perfectly prepared with interesting and gave us a good experience of how much incredible talent Mendoza has to offer. Absolutely excellent! We went here for our last meal in Mendoza and it was the perfect choice. We had been wine tasting throughout Argentina for some nine days and it was so wonderful coming here for cocktails. They were exceptional. They also had a great wine list but we were a bit burned out on wine. The food was also exceptional. The watermelon sashimi had the texture of fish! We also got the zucchini carpaccio and this crazy tomato and egg thing. Highly recommend all of them. Our mains (rabbit pasta and pastrami) were also stellar. Highly, highly recommend coming here.

This is so close to perfect in terms of lighting, service, bartending, menu selection, and ambience. If I had a top 10 restaurant list, this would definitely be on it. (Shout out to our server Valentina)! Let’s start with the ambience. It is beautifully lit. The lights are a work of art. It’s at once both approachable and elegant feeling. It’s not over-the-top or over- stylized. It’s just understated elegance with a local Argentine flair. From the serveware to the glow of the bar, it’s a beautiful restaurant, but it is not stuffy. Second: the server was interesting and efficient and was not too hovering, but also was there every time that we needed her. I have a hard time when servers try to explain the menu items (like I’ve never been to a restaurant before) And she did not do this at all. And it wasn’t necessary because I knew exactly what I wanted. The second I saw sweetbreads, I was excited! She also was very patient with my mediocre Spanish. Next, the menu is creative without being over-the-top. Sometimes the menu looks excellent and sounds excellent and then just fails to deliver. In this case, the menu looked excellent, sounded excellent and was so flavorful! I had the CONFIT RABBIT ROLL – CHAÑAR SYRUP – HONEY-FERMENTED GARLIC AIOLI – MUSHROOM AND COCOA POWDER. Listen to that description! It sounds complex, and like it could really be great or it could be overwhelming, and it turns out… It was well balanced and excellent! I then had my sweet breads. Wow! And my husband had a rabbit pasta. His was good. But my two dishes were clearly the winners here! Speaking of well balanced… in the states, it’s hard to find a good caprihinia, so we had been living in Argentina for about three weeks and drinking a lot of them. So when I ordered them, the server suggested that the bartender was actually really quite good and that he could make us anything else we wanted instead, and so we ordered other Signature items off the cocktail menu, and he was excellent mixologist. I had him also make some of my Other favorites, and he did an interesting twist on them. And of course… The wine list. Beautiful wine list, inexpensive bottles and moderately priced bottles and more expensive bottles. Everything was… Really rather perfect. One of my favorite experiences in Argentina. If we had stayed longer I would have gone back every night! It was just Such a beautiful combination of locally-sourced food, ambience, excellent service, a great mixologist behind the bar, and I even remember liking the music selection. A great evening!

Well stocked bar and the mixology skills to properly utilize it. Martini was great! The food was amazing, the vibe was fun, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations of what to eat and drink! So many things to say! I’m sure I’ve forgotten some of the details, but all in all - a great experience. We started with 2 small plates: the general tso’s BAO followed by some homemade chorizo on brioche bread….yum! The entree was a braised goat (chivo!). Delicious!! Paula (pronounced POW-lah: manager) and her team stayed on top of everything you’d want and expect from a visit to a restaurant that came highly recommended. Thank you, cavas wine lodge! Autentico had a great vibe, delicious food, and outstanding service - they had it all. Thank you for an outstanding experience!

We didn’t eat here but it was our evening ritual to have a cocktail before dinner. So, they were super good, every cocktail is with a twist. Espresso martini goes to our best award list. And try bubble martini!!! And super nice service. Definitely highly recommend

Stumbled upon this gem last night for a pre dinner cocktail. Had a delicious bourbon cocktail that I liked so much that I ordered a second. They had a special tasting menu that was ridiculous. Service was friendly and attentive. Great space and great vibe. Highly recommend.

Amazing place. Food phenomenal. We had the pleasure of having Angelo as our server and he was fantastic. The food was so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The best bloody Mary I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is simply wonderful.

Great service and the bread roll may have been my favorite part. Burrata gazpacho was good and my partner enjoyed his steak. I didn't love the seafood linguine but that may have been preference. The sauce just felt one dimensional without any real flavor and a bit oily. Nice atmosphere for a date night.

Wow! Such a welcoming and cool place. Try a vermouth cocktail from their huge list. New for me and I’m a fan! The lemony beans and broccoli were kind of a revelation, very good. Good selection of tapas so mix and match. The Spanish tortilla took a second but was a nicely done.

Went for dinner to have a lighter meal considering we had a hearty lunch. The vibe is very hipster, as is the menu, and while everything we ordered was nice, and service was attentive without being overbearing, we just weren’t enamored by the flavors. I would still give it a try if you loved unique food and vegetable forward. Vermouth is nice, though I asked for a mocktail that had a bit of an odd flavor profile.

A review said this spot was unpretentious, which is my favorite type of restaurant. I had to see for myself. 100% agree— I cannot speak highly enough of La Central! This was my final dinner in Argentina. I didn’t know anything about vermouth, but the staff was so friendly and walked me through selecting the perfect drink for me (Lunfa Rosado, which I did drink two of 😂). I also did not know that this was VERY lgbtq+ friendly space 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 it was so lovely to be surrounded by community on my final night in Argentina. ❤️ I started with a delicious focaccia, followed by the eggplant with chimichurri and the tomato ceviche. I do not normally do veg dishes at restaurants but these were the exception. These dishes were PERFECT. 20 out of 10. The bread was so soft and perfect with the olive oil, simple. I don’t know how they made that leche de tigre taste just like the original 😭 but it was delicious. I followed these dishes with the pastelitos de carne which tasted like they were made with love. I felt like I was eating inside someone’s house. So warm and rich with flavor. I tried two additional vermouth cocktails, the “Será que no me amas” which I loved, and the Circo Beat which was not my favorite. I don’t like sweet drinks but this drink could have used a bit more sweetness, still good though. Dessert was DIVINE. The pavlova crust had a perfectly soft crunchy texture, and the fruit embellishments were delectable. I will certainly he returning when I come back to Mendoza. The menu is extremely vegetarian/vegan friendly. My waiter was Nico, so sweet and helpful! Pay him more!!!!!!!!!! 🩵🩵🩵

I found this amazing tapas restaurant on Google. It did not have as many reviews as other places, (places which had around 5000 or 6000 each, and seemed to be more popular with tourists rather than the locals). La Central Vermutería had just the right number of reviews to attract me to read the user comments, and we decided to try it out for lunch that day. We found it easily in the downtown area of Mendoza. It provides both outdoor and indoor dining. If we dined outdoors, we could’ve taken pictures with a very Paris vibe. However, it was cold that day, so we decided to dine indoors. When we walked in, I said, “three people.” There were three staff who looked at me, paused for a little bit, and told me to wait for a second. They asked their manager, Francisco to come out to greet us. OMG!!! Francisco was one of the BEST English speakers, as well as one of the most passionate and knowledgeable restaurant managers I have seen in Argentina. First off, he speaks perfect English. As a reader, you cannot imagine how difficult it was for us to travel in Argentina, even in the airports and hotels, because we don’t really speak Spanish. Second, when we placed our order, he also provided great suggestions (e.g. giving us a friendly reminder that we had unknowingly ordered several dishes with similar ingredients, and pointing out other options because he wanted us to try a good variety of flavors from the menu). Third, he even helped us call our travel agency in Spanish to settle down our schedule, so we could continue enjoying our trip after we left the restaurant. Fourth, they obviously take great pride in their menu. As a “Vermuteria,” they are very knowledgeable about vermouth, and were able to recommend great vermouth-based cocktails for our group based on our preferences. Fifth, the dishes and drinks he recommended were near perfect. I don’t want to use perfect because that will be over-exaggerating and mix too much our appreciation (hahaha!!!). The Jamon crudo Iberico came out with a very generous helping of meat, the pastelitos came out perfectly deep fried, and we got to try cuisine from neighboring countries (like Paraguayan mbeyu). As Asian foodies, the recommended dishes provided different ingredients from all over Central and South America, reconstructed with a new flavor for us to enjoy. We do have a lot of Mexican food in the States, but this restaurant showed us a different twist (Argentinian and Mexican tortillas couldn’t be more different!), and I hope you can try this place and meet charming Francisco.

Excellent food and cocktails and very cool setting. Menu is a bit confusing – there seem to be two restaurants so there is a bar menu and a restaurant menu. Doesn’t really matter – all the choices are interesting and tasty. Staff is friendly and, if you Spanish isn’t up to snuff, can speak enough English for you to have a great time. Only complaint is the music – love the sound track but turning it down a bit would facilitate better conversation.

Outstanding restaurant that celebrates all Argentinian cuisine whilst throwing a few surprises at you. The food was a joy, the local wines were well paired and the setting itself was beautifully relaxed. We were looked after from start to finish by the owner and his friendly staff who took pleasure in telling us all about each course. We could not have asked for more.

This place is now called Siete Cocinas. We stumbled upon the restaurant in February 2018 looking for dinner and not really wanting anything fancy but that is exactly what we got. We didn't regret it as we had an amazing and unexpected food experience here. To start, they offered 3 or 4 different types of amazing bread. The wine that the main chef suggested was super good. Then came the starters consisting of chorizo, empanadas, and pumpkin with honey and cheese. For the main course we had the ojo de bife and patagonian trout. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner/chef came to speak with us and you could see the passion he had for Argentinean food and you could taste this in what we were served. I highly recommend going here if you are in the area!

After living in Mendoza for 5 years, eating here is always an exceptional experience! The quality and execution is unparalleled in regards to price. Chef Pablo Del Rio and the Siete Cocinas team have developed one of Mendoza's top culinary destinations. Just order the 16 hr. braised goat or Mollejas (sweetbreads)...or the tasting menu....you'll understand! As a sommelier and chef, I enjoy the high-level hospitality/service, thoughtful wine list (good pricing too!), and exceptionally executed and delicious dishes that represent the 7 culinary regions of Argentina using seasonal local bounties. DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE!!

What a wonderful evening, Samuel looked after us so well. We sat in the courtyard because we had our dog with us (who was well looked after). Cocktails, great wine, wonderful food and very good about certain food intolerances. Special care to wish me a Feliz Cumpleaños with a sparkler candle in my dessert. Just wonderful

A very easy 1-star review from me. I had the 5-corse menu and only the first serving was good. I overpaid through a third party vendor, but that did not factor my final rating. Service was fine, but not of the ordinary. The wine pairing was not impressive.

I went for the 5 dish menu. We started off well with complementing wines. The third dish was amazing with a flavor explosion. It was unreal. The 4th dish was amazing as well with the meat really tasting well. The service of it all was amazing thanks to my waiter Valeria. If you want a unique, but affordable option for a good dinner choose Carolina Cocina. Muchas gracias😌

We had an excellent dinner. We went to a place on top of a hotel for the view, but they lost our reservation. This was a happy accident, very happy. We had a view of Plaza d'Italia, the best Italian dishes I've had in years, and a very nice bottle of Malbec.

The ambiace of El Palenque es deceiving, looks like a rustic, kind of country place but the cooking is more sophisticated than that! Yes you could find some classics of the Argentina cuisine with a twist (milanesas with different sauces) but algo some local specialities. The buttersquatch sorrentinos were amazing and also the empanadas of cheese and cured ham. The weekest part were desserts, the pear crocante was not that but soggy. The wine selection is respectable and the service excellent.

Good beer selection and good offer (2 for 1) in the evening. However, they had to serve the 2 beers together and for some reason we couldn't have them one after the other. Not very nice when it's 30 degrees at 9pm. Difficult to pay by card if it has a pin. Nobody wants to assist with that. Cash is their preferred payment method. Food and beer were great though and service was fast and efficient

Stopped here to grab a drink as we were strolling through Mendoza. Had a wonderful time sitting outside with a glass of wine and an appetizer. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu and even explained the meaning behind the name of the restaurant.

Ended up here twice because we really liked it. Great service, pretty good food, reasonable prices, a decent but smallish drink menu. When we got here they were playing a great Manu Chao album. Would definitely go back, but not if I were looking for anything fancy. Shown here is their "ham heaven" pizza and some empanadas. Empanadas were okay, liked the pizza better.

A normal bar with very bad wine house! The penguin wine is terribly bad. The food is average at price and taste. It is ok for a night without being pretentious.

Gian, Bruno, and the new sommelier (whose name I can't remember right now, sorry!) were super kind, knowledgeable, and just great to hang out with. To anyone visiting Mendoza and looking to drink some wine and have a good time, this is the place.

Outside: -5/10 Inside the restaurant: 15/10 Outside review: We arrived at 11:20am for our 11:30am reservation. We were told to take a seat outside and wine would be served to us while we waited…sounds lovely. However 30 minutes later, no wine, no tour, no communication. 45 minutes later…still nothing. 1 hour later we hunted down the hostess to tell her we had a 3:30pm reservation 45 minutes away and we were now concerned we would be late for it as we didn’t want to rush a Michelin star lunch. She said she would tell the restaurant of our timing needs and sat us at the restaurant with no tour. We still don’t know what happened and why we waited for an hour in the cold… Inside (restaurant) review: Literally the opposite of outside. WOW WOW WOW. The food!! The service!!! Leo is the king. His hospitality is genuinely unmatched. He went above and beyond so many times. I unfortunately missed the Som’s name but he might be my favorite som I’ve encountered in life so far- so knowledgeable, so approachable, soooo good at describing wines visually and verbally. And his energy is muy muy tranquilo in the best way. I’m not a big flesh person in general but the rib was EXQUISITE. Leo also brought us a little side of the pasta which was delectable as well. And the deserts were the icing on the proverbial cake. 10/10 for food, 20/10 for service. One more note against the host — she said she would let the restaurant know we were on a tight timeline (that she made tight, not us 🙄) and she didn’t. We let Leo know and he moved heaven and earth to get us our desserts and check in time to not be too late, but I *know* he would have timed us perfectly if she told him like she said she would. She did him and us a disservice. Also, nothing was ever said about the missed tour or the hour-long wait to be seated, but holy smokes did the restaurant work to turn our experience around. They deserve all of the stars. Now if only they could train the staff outside to be at their level… TLDR: We were there 3.5 hours and they had to RUSH our dessert because the hostess didn’t do her job. For an expensive meal (that was *incredible*), it’s rather inexcusable. I will update this review if they reach out in any way.

Casa Vigil Mendoza felt more like a brand showroom since nothing is actually produced on-site. The visit was poorly organized and the tour was over in a flash. We tasted three wines and were given just two crackers with their olive oil. For 100 USD per person, it did not feel worth it, especially considering I visited other wineries in the area for half the price and enjoyed a much deeper, more engaging experience. Perhaps having lunch there during the tour, even at double the price, would have been a better choice.

One question: how does this place have a Michelin star??? Absolutely horrendous service and management. It’s a total tourist trap that’s not up to Michelin standards. I never leave reviews but this experience has compelled me to write this. Food wasn’t bad at all but it was way overpriced. We got our wine “pairings” an hour before each course came out. Is it normal to wait an hour between courses? Other tables took precedence over us, water refills were few and far between. The manager didn’t seem to care about making it right, only offered us to come back and try again. It’s one thing to suck but is another thing to suck and not attempt to make it right. Finally, we spoke to someone who was willing to take some accountability and apologize which was much appreciated. My wife and I will never recommend this place to anyone and specifically tell people to avoid it. We should have got a sandwich and bottle of wine from a kiosko instead.

One of my best dining experiences while in Mendoza. Service is impeccable. Food presentation is outstanding.

We had a 3 course tasting with the 3 enemigos wine pairing for $130 each. The appetiser and main were amazing. The dessert was meh at best. I had the carpaccio and rib eye then the cheesecake. There is a sommelier on site to assist with your pairing or questions 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wonderful lunch and wine pairing at Bodega Lagarde. We truly enjoyed the meal and each wine that accompanied each course. I loved the tomato salad so much the chef packed up an extra one for me! Excellent customer service. After dessert we took our wine outside and strolled the vineyard, tasting the grapes. Phenomenal dining experience!

Amazing place. We scheduled a visit and it was possible to see how careful they are with their production, there is no doubt regarding the quality of their wines. We also did an experience trying some wines and they were excellent. Nice place to visit and learn about Argentina’s wine culture.

Good tour and overall experience! The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was lovely to see so many organic vibes in the vineyard! The wines were good, not all of them were great. The restaurant is amazing! Highly recommended. The food was delicious, they offer gluten free bread as well 👌 and the service is great!

Suburb service, food and wine. We opted for the à la carte menu for lunch. Under the sprawling Mulberry tree with excellent service from all the staff especially George who was excellent. A mix of starters two 1kg steaks and desert - coupled with their premier red wine Henry and a great white wine what’s not to enjoy

Absolutely one of the best experiences! Our waiter, Jorge, and sommelier, Paula, provided outstanding service! We had the 7 course pre fixe dinner! The food was spectacular in taste and presentation and we each did a different wine pairing so we were able to taste their fabulous wines! I highly recommend Fogón at Bodega Lagarde! It is a wonderful experience!

Fantastic! Could not ask for a better setting and a more luxurious afternoon. The 7 course lunch was outstanding with great flavours and perfect pairings. The service was impeccable and they were very kind to indulge my preference to speak in not so great Spanish [that's is how you get better]. Wine pours were very generous. My partner had a few top ups as well [alas, I was the driver]. My all means, treat yourself to this amazing experience while in Mendoza.

Mixed Experience at Françoise Malman & 1884 Our experience at this restaurant was a bit unusual from the very start. When making the reservation, we were required to pay a significant amount upfront, and when we couldn’t attend due to health reasons, they outright refused to refund us. I generally dislike paying for reservations in advance, and in this case, it was a particularly high charge. Their approach was rigid, insisting that the amount would be forfeited, so we had no choice but to go. The setting of the restaurant is undeniably beautiful, creating a perfect ambiance. However, when it comes to the food, there are plenty of restaurants in the area that serve meals of a similar quality and taste for half the price. I honestly don’t think we received a dining experience worth $200 per person (excluding wine). On a positive note, their wine selection is excellent, and the atmosphere is truly top-notch. However, given the poor price-to-value ratio, I don’t see myself returning.

My recent dining experience at 1884, Francis Mallmann's restaurant, was unfortunately a disappointment, especially considering its reputation and price point. I chose 1884 over Mr. Mallmann's 7 Fuegos restaurant due to recent negative reviews of the latter. However, the 8-course tasting menu with wine pairing fell far short of expectations. Ironically, the highlights of the meal were the warm bread selection, the cheese plate, and the dessert assortment – not exactly what one expects from a high-end restaurant. The humita was surprisingly bland and simple, tasting like something easily replicated at home of ingredients from a convenience store. The octopus, a prime opportunity to showcase the chef's expertise with open-fire cooking and achieve a delightful char, was disappointingly uniform in texture and lacked any of the desired smoky and charred bits and notes. The accompanying potato was equally uninspiring and remained largely untouched. The slow-cooked lamb, which should have been the star of the evening, was a good illustration of how a meat can simultaneously achieve a tender *and* dry texture. It was served with a rather ordinary potato purée. This pairing seemed like non-sense; why serve a tender meat dish with an equally soft purée? A contrasting element, such as some charred and crunchy vegetables, would have better complemented the lamb's tenderness and elevated the dish. From the wine paring, only the Jerez deserves a mention. While I understand the urge of dining at a Francis Mallmann restaurant when visiting Mendoza, as I myself felt, I recommend to skip it. Mendoza has numerous excellent alternatives offering comparable or superior cuisine at a fraction of the cost. I would encourage fellow travelers to explore these other options before committing to 1884.

Francis Mallmann is one of my favorite chefs, and to have the experience to visit one of his restaurants in Mendoza Argentina was a dream come true. You are greeted with elegance and sophistication, we professional staff, know how to host a guest. Now the environment is awesome, the fires, the smell of smoke, the decor, I mean you know your senses are being stimulated. Then the food, be careful, it's a gastrointestinal explosion of taste and incredible flavors, and the wine pairing, the sommelier she knew her wines, I can't say I ever had a better time, an A class experience. Oh take a cab, this is a journey

Located in a quite neighborhood, 1884 is the perfect place for a dinner date. We were under the impression that we could order a la carte but after asking we were not able to so we had to do the tasting menu, we were not that hungry but oh well. The restaurant has sitting inside and outside, and even an outdoor open kitchen concept, which I always enjoy. This night the weather was bad so they closed the outdoor kitchen. There is a terrace area where you can sit and have drinks. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. Most spoke both English and Spanish. 1884 has an extensive wine menu but their sommelier is very willing to help. I found it interesting that our wine was not kept near the table. Dinner took three hours for all eight courses. My favorite courses, were the flank steak, fish, and the desert. I did find that the courses did have more food than I imagined, so I just took bites of everything to taste it. Overall, I think this is a good place to have dinner as long as you are hungry.

Excellent restaurant, a must visit if in the city although expensive. Nearly 70 pages of wines, and delicious foods as well as a full bar. I would highly recommend a reservation as we could not get to the restaurant entrance without speaking with a security guard. They do have a parking lot. We saw a traditional asado for grilling meat!

The braised lamb was amazing and the steak was also delicious. The dining area is outside in the courtyard of a winery. It's a beautiful setting. The service was very good. The candle on the table kept blowing out and staff had to come around and relight it. It wasn't a problem but was a little distracting. Overall an excellent dining experience and quintessentially Argentinian.

The Restaurant and grounds were beautiful and exclusive; the Food and Wine… EXCELLENT! But the highlight… was the team, Facundo and Constance were absolutely wonderful, attentive, proactive to our every need and requests. Every question was met with professional decor and nurtured with pride in their craft… for that THANK YOU.

The food was good, but not great. Service was slow. The atmosphere was nothing special and it was pricey.

I had high hopes for this meal, but unfortunately, the food did not compare to the beautiful atmosphere of the decor in the interior of the restaurant. My partner and I both ordered the "Bife de chorizo" and it was extremely hard to cut for both of us, so much so that we needed to ask for a different knife to cut the beef. Our hands were sore by the end of the meal from just trying to cut the beef! The presentation of the dishes were quite nice and eye-catching but the taste of the food was deceptive and seemed to contrast a lot. I really wanted to like this place, but the service didn't seem to compare to the interior design neither. I left feeling disappointed because we had two servers throughout the meal and not one person asked us "how the meal was" even after we waited almost an hour for the meal. I wouldn't recommend eating at this restaurant. It was not worth it.

We dined at "The Club" 3 weeks ago and had a fantastic evening tonight however was absolutely terrible,, raw meat on a plate with no frills and when we told the arrogant man taking my hard earned money he just gave excuses,,, no apologies for the meal and no discount,, stay clear of this place . O just contacted the manager from when we dinned 3 weeks ago and he's been fired!!!! Big mistake I think 🤔

Well, very nice place but...service is not professional, a lot of people (higher staff) are watching how waiteresses are working instead to react when guests are waiting 15‘ to order or getting the bill. The restaurant was 30% booked, immagine when its full. The food was ok, the wine too cold, the etiquette of our wine was glued off...the white chocolate mousse was excellent. I‘m not coming back...

Great space, service and food. Unfortunately, on the day we were for our dinner family there was a birthday in the upper floor full of drunk loud teenagers. This made a great experience into a really annoying one.

We have eaten here twice now. The service is impeccable and the food delicious, well prepared and presented. The menu is simple and each item comes as a whole meal (ie with sides - as opposed to many other establishments in town where any side dish is charged for). My husband has had the Biffe de Oja cooked to perfection with grilled mushrooms and potato in a Roquefort sauce. I have had the trout with stir fried veg and the spinach ricotta ravioli both tasty and we'll cooked. Deserts to indulge on. As a new establishment in town we wish them success.

We arrived there just on time for lunch. We were on one of the first tables to be seated. After choosing our menu and getting our first plate we realized that all the other tables had gotten some bread with some type of sauce. They forgot about us and totally pretended not to see that (even when they came to take the plates). The food is really good! But nothing special at all. I’d expect something more elaborated for this price (10,500.00 per person). The second thing that got me intrigued is that there was a street dog roaming around the restaurant and the waiters pretended that it was something normal. The dog was full of fleas and totally not taken care of. None of the waiters took the dog away (you would expect a high level restaurant not to have street animals roaming between the tables). At some point the dog even jumped on my GF and got her blouse mud dirty. The third and last thing was that there was SO MUCH trash on the grass. Pieced of paper, plastic, cigarettes. It seems like no one has ever cleaned that up. In the end, I’d recommend you to take the tour but eat somewhere else (maybe even better for that price tag). I didn’t enjoy it at all.

My wife and I had a fabulous time on a private tour at Bodega Salentein. Our tour guide, Marcelo, made the experience memorable with his passionate and knowledgeable presentation, and we felt so very welcomed. The six wines we tried were all excellent and each at the top of its class. Our favorite was the Numina Gran Corte, which is a blend of malbec, cabernet, merlot, cab franc, and petit verdot. The Primus malbec 2015 was excellent as well. The tour normally takes 1.5 hours but we got along so well with Marcelo, it was well over 2 hours and we were still in tasting room when Marcelo finally was asked to move on. Just to demonstrate the tremendous hospitality this Bodega shows its visitors. Would love to re-visit next time we're in Mendoza.

This is one of the two restaurants in Zuccardi family vineyard. Worth every cent. Great experience. Wine is paired with every dish. Big tables. Cozy place. Good music. Excellent service. Did the wine tasting in the wine producing building facility first, and then came to have lunch here. This is usually offered as a visiting package.

If you are trying to decide which bodega restaurant to visit while in Mendoza then look no further. Casa del Visitante is a must! This is a five star restaurant in a beautiful building. The meal commences outside with perfectly cooked empanadas served with wine, then returns inside. The tour of the winery is included with the meal, which we were late for because we were enjoying our meal so much. Do we dissuaded by Santa Julia being a high volume winery, it is a great bodega and worth the trip. Highly recommended!!

Prices are high. The best empanadas in the area. Stay relax outside before coming inside. Enjoy the empanadas and the wine. Then get inside and eat the best rib eye on the area! Look it's a five star restaurant for a reason. You will receive great attention and the best serving wines. Eat slow, enjoy the food, and have fun with people around you. Just an improvement or feedback: have a better air conditioning, have 5 selections instead of 2, and have a better restaurant name.

What a great day! Christina took us on a tour of the winery and then Victoria took us through the 7 course with pairing meal. Both were fantastic! Highly recommend Clos de chacras!

We did a wine tasting 4 wines with a small food pairing that was very reasonablely priced. Everyone at the winery was very nice. I recommend coming early so you can walk around the absolutely stunning grounds. We also sighted several beautiful birds. It's truly a great place to visit

We had a brilliant experience here today. We chose the 4 course tasting menu with matching wines and it was fabulous. Food was great with generous portions, and a nice variety of wines (rose, malbec, cab sav blend, sparking) which accompanied the food perfectly (and were generously topped up), The service staff were exceptional and attended to us in English. A special shout out to Victoria for looking after us. Well done, team!

Cannot recommend this winery and restaurant enough. Victoria, our server, was beyond fantastic. She had passion for the food, wine, place, and was so incredibly nice. The food was some of the best we've had anywhere and the wine was excellent. I implore you to come here!

I had a fantastic experience here. They were able to adapt the menu gluten free and safe for celiacs / sin TACC and confirmed that separate kitchen items were used that have never touched anything with gluten. Apart from this, the six course lunch menu and accompanying wines were absolutely delicious. Really a premium experience! There is a lovely terrace to sit next to the water, beautiful surroundings, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

SEPTIMA Initial reception  was good, the usual insistence on reservations though the place was 90% empty... blah, blah, let's see if we can squeeze you in. Miracle! They could seat us, please choose any of the 50+ open tables. A GENERAL NOTE ABOUT MENDOZA : The wineries here all demand reservations, you cannot just show up and wonder around the grounds, they will turn you away at the front gate. If you do manage to get let in, the restaurants will not serve you unless you have a reservation. The reservation can be for a tour with limited wine tasting, $50 USD TO $80 USD per person, or for a food and wine pairing, 3 ,5 or 6 course at USD $75 to USD $200 (Catena Zapata). A hundred U$D minimum for a couple just to visit a winery? No Thank you. How many wineries would you like to visit in Mendoza? Two wineries a day for 4 days? That's well over $1000 USD. NO! Use the funds for airfare to Napa, California and visit wineries for free, taste wines for $20 to $25, credited towards wine purchase, making the tasting free. Back to Septima: The Lamb sliders and cheese and charcuterie plates took a little while to be delivered.  The Grand Reserve Icon Malbec was ok, good body, big tannins, rather unbalanced, but mostly way TOO COLD. Undrinkably cold. We asked the wine waiter about their normal red wine serving temperature, and he said 14 degrees C, but this glass was at 8 deg C. WHAT? Serving red wines that cold completely alters the flavour profile, mostly rendering it lifeless. The wine guy said their customers wanted a cold beverage, but did not want ice in the glass. Then serve them grape KoolAid, they probably wouldn't notice the difference,  as long as it was served cold. The wine guy did bring out a complimentary glass of their 2nd top wine, cold but not impossibly cold. This wine was drinkable, and actually better balanced than the Icon vino frio. The lamb sliders were pretty good, nothing spectacular, big old buns with a sliver of lamb/goat (they used both descriptors) and caramelized onions. The predominant flavour was the onions, with  occasional hints of lambiness The cheese and charcuterie board was also good,  the salami had full garlic cloves ossified within , a real flavour bomb. Yummy. Stringy prosciutto, a sliver of brie. Two 1/4 pencils of blue cheese, a postage stamp of a lamina of gruyere?. A small but acceptable platter, not worth the price of admission. We ordered a tiramisu, my wife mentioned a deconstructed tiramisu she had recently endured.  The waiter assured her that theirs was not deconstructed but was very good. We waited, and waited.... I was just about to request the bill and leave (but no waiter responded though there were 3 in attendance) when the tiramisu showed up. It looked like babyshytte piled upon dogshytte. My wife ate the top half but balked at the feculent brown goop below. What happened to the lady's fingers, what happened to the espresso? It appears that restaurants are competing to deconstruct their tiramisu to greater and greater degrees. Deconstructed? More like de-stroyed. Overall impression of Septima: Food - 2 stars Wine quality - 5 stars Wine service - 1 star Wine server - 5 stars, friendly, helpful Ambience -  3 stars  , open, cold, barren Service -  1 star ,  waiter's and waitresses too busy chatting together, completely ignoring the customers. Long wait for food, even when the restaurant is nigh upon empty. .

The worst timing between food and wine! We ate every dish without wine and drank every wine without food!! Location, wines, food were amazing, simply the saloon manager doesn't know his job!!

I would not recommend going here if you’re looking for great service. Came to visit with a group of three for a wine tasting experience with out a reservation. At first we were welcomed as you should when you walk into a restaurant. Once they sat us down we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order and no one came. We ended up leaving as we got up and walked out after passing several servers no one even questioned us leaving to at least see if everything was ok. The host didn’t even acknowledge us leaving saying goodbye or if we had a good experience or why we left so soon. Nothing compares to the service at Trivento or Chandon. Those two I would recommend 10000% super attentative. Avoid this place if your looking for good customer service. Came from USA to a total disappointment .

Lovely vineyard. Winery built like a fort. Fantastic lunch paired with 4 different wines overlooking the vineyard. Patio would be a great place for a wedding or group function. Staff extremely friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Horrible experience at lunch, which I of course had a reservation for. Borderline hostile environment for non Spanish speakers. Not a word in English. I spent there 40 minutes sitting in front of 5 lovely empty glasses. Wasn't offered aperitif or at least you know some wine. A restaurant was half full for a Monday lunch. So assuming I could've been sitting here totally ignored until the second coming I left.

I read about this place on TripAdvisor and decided it would be a nice experience to go here. Arrived early in the evening for dinner and had cheese tasting as starter. I really enjoyed the selection of cheeses and was perfect to start off the evening. The main dish was ojo de bife with ensalada. Truly amazing together with 2024 Malbec. Cooked medium rare as I asked and the salad was simple but complimentary. As desert I had a mouse made out of merengue together with dulce de leche. This form is from Peru and I really enjoyed the mouse together with the dulce. The service was really nice and was able to give some recommendations. The atmosphere was impecable with a jazz band playing. They truly made the night feel completed. Gracias Caché Bistro 🙏

Lovely place, lovely people. Absolutely ten star service, food was great. Only gave the food four stars because it feels wrong to give a place a perfect review but actually it was great. The husband was rolling his eyes with joy at the steak. I had yummy squid which was… yummy! And don’t get me started on how good the mashed potato was. And then there’s the wine - having the option to buy it off the shelf or the choice to be guided by the experts. Next time we go we want to take a group and that’s saying something given that we’ll have to come all the way from New Zealand to do it.

A fantastic dinner in Mendoza. The Cafe has a wine shop connected where you can pick your own bottle from hundreds of different selections. The staff is very knowledgeable on the wines and how to pair it with the food. A very homely atmosphere with generous portions, great service and quality beef. The server I has, Kamin (?) was very friendly and helpful and spent time helping me select a wine to pair with dinner.

Amazing dinner at the center of Mendoza. They have a truly intense variety of argentinian wines for all tastes, on display in several of the different rooms. The restaurant ambiance is cozy, with sitting in different areas, from more reserved, to outdoors close to the bar, to tables for groups. The food is very good, fresh and with the highest quality of ingredients. The service is very good, helpful and friendly.

Excellent place for dinner - food was high quality, service friendly despite our language barrier. Recommend the squid and spinach croquettes especially. For wine, they have 8 bottles in a machine which lets you drink by the glass and sample a few different wines. Hadn't seen this anywhere else in Argentina so far. Panna cotta for dessert was top tier.

Some of the best food we've had in Mendoza. Empanadas, sweetbreads, leg of lamb - all superb. Literally 100's of wines at great prices. Jose was a fantastic host. And then another night also amazing with new things on the menu. Frederico the best at taking care of all the details.

Nice little place with very tasty tapas and superb wines. One thing to note : they do not serve wine by the glass. I wish they did so we could have tasted 2 or more different wines. Other than that everything was excellent and we highly recommend it!

Is the very best establishment for lunch guys! We had SUCH a good time here. The dish of the day was fabulous chicken with potatoes. And we had some amazing Sauvignon Blanc. It was all to die for. And even better was the service by Lourdes and her team. Thank you so much. We will come back

Super cute place! Loved the vibe.. the rest could use a little enhancement. The food was mediocre at best, and the service was a bit slow. The wine suggestion was good and the place is cozy inside. The appetizer was delicious, the steak was tough to chew, fries were cold. Decided against a dessert.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The food is amazing ! Ive been told the fish in argentina isn't great, but i have been here twice and had 2 different sea food dishes and both have been delicious! The atmosphere emmersed in majestic tree's just makes it even more magical ! All the staff are very friendly! Reservations were easy to make, with quick responses from whatsapp. My two waitors - Agustina and Gaspar were excellent ! Agustina speaks English very well & Gaspar I was able to communicate with great ! They were a pleasure to have at my service! Thank you both so much for making my solo dinner's relaxed & with hospitality

The food was above average. I ordered a medium temp steak - it came out very well done and incredibly chewy. It looked good - just way overcooked. The French fries were the highlight. I was hoping for a great Argentine steak - this wasn’t the place for it. But the service was fantastic - very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt local and authentic. It was a solid meal for a reasonable price. We couldn’t figure out parking - maybe there was a charge? Our Spanish is limited but the person at the entry of the parking lot was pushing for money. We gave him a few thousand peso’s and he seemed happy.

The Patagonian trout with the pistachio butter was absolutely beautiful. Super friendly and attentive staff and such a gorgeous location. Highly recommend

This place is amazing. We came here for lunch on our trip to Argentina, it was our first meal after landing and we honestly were astounded. The ambiance is awesome, the service was excellent, and the food was great. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The setting is lovely and great music!! Waiter wasn’t great - he forgot our water and forgot our starter!! Starter was left off the bill though so I’m guessing he didn’t put it through to the kitchen!!! The main dishes we had were vegetarian and was really just average - bland and no real flavour.

One of the most picturesque locations in the valley- we loved the architecture and ambiance of this winery. The tour was robotic and we are not sure if that had to do with the language barrier or not. We were inside most of the time and missing the stunning natural scenery! The wine cellar is very neat, however, didn’t need to spend much time there. Wines were our least favorite of what we tried- quite a diverse selection, however, mostly dry and mineral flavors. Not our preference. Location, scenery and ambiance- 5 stars! Tour and wines- 4 stars.

The location and ambiance for the sunset tasting were beautiful. However, the tasting menu and service left much to be desired. The sunset tasting comes with a bottle of wine but we received little explanation of the food or wine itself. For the price of the 3 hour tasting, we expected more engaged service to pair with the meal. Neighboring vineyards charge the same for substantially more of a meal and experience.

We stopped here for a wine tasting with the Wine Bus Vitivinícola. At $42 per person, it’s on the pricey side. While the wines were good, we were surprised to discover that the tasting of four wines featured selections from their lower range, priced at around $10–$20 per bottle. It was not worth it—the wines were nice, but they definitely didn’t justify the crazy price. That said, the building and the surroundings are simply stunning and out guide was lovely.

We stopped here for a wine tasting. For 40$ p.P. it's quite pricey, but it was totally worth it! We had around 5-6 different wines and all of them were really good. What kinda stuck me, you even can taste the premium line of wine, which we often could not do at other vineyards. Combined with some bread and great olive oil, this was a really good experience and Tour! The Building and the surroundings are stunning and you don't need to stay there overnight to have a good view over the vineyard and the Andes. 100% recommended! Would love to come back again, maybe next time staying overnight for a stunning sunset.

Paula led a wonderful tasting tour! She spoke excellent English and thoroughly explained the intricacies of the Andeluna wines. It is obvious she is passionate about Andeluna!

This is our favorite stop in Uco valley. Great staff (shout out to Kevin and Jesse), and relaxing area to enjoy wine and views. Their limited edition Torrontes is excellent on a hot summer day. We visit with our kids and they enjoy exploring the yard and vines. We’ll be back!

The room was very private, stylish, and comfortable. The restaurant food was good and the staff was informative and attentive. We did a wine blending class and that was so much fun! The winery is beautiful and scenic.

If this is your dining spot of choice, prepare yourself. Not only for a massive feast that is fit for royalty in years past, but for an exclusive experience having you feel truly special. The way it works is you get assigned your own little nook or room depending on the party size. This makes it more of a family dinner setting in the comfort of your home than a restaurant dinning experience. Depending on the size you order, you’ll be led to a table with a variety of fresh and organic ingredients waiting for you to nibble on. You’ll then get an order of a warm dish. Also, there’s wine. The host will gently leave a full bottle for you at the table to do as you please. It’s vino tinto and a table wine, but delicious and matches the meal perfectly. You won’t be rushed at all so please just sit back and relax - plan on spending a good chunk of time here.

Delicious and very affordable! We had the reduced lunch and it was more than enough for 2 which included charcuterie, beef dish, desert and a bottle of wine! The place is very cozy and a perfect place after a Bodega or 2. The staff does not speak much English, but tried and Google Translate worked great!

Wow....just wow! We rented bikes at Baccus Bikes and they suggested that this restaurant would be a good option for lunch. We arrived without a reservation and were shown to a waiting area. We waited for what seemed to be a while. What I didn't realize is that while we were waiting, they were preparing a specular feast for us! Once they were ready we were shown in to our private room. When we walked in we were blown away by the amazing table that was set for us. It was incredible. So many delectable choices on the table along with nice bottle of wine! Along with the amazing picada spread, you are given the choice of a hot dish (beef stew or empanadas) and a bowl of ice cream for dessert. All of it was delicious. As one reviewer stated, "we arrived hungry and left stuffed and drunk"! What a great experience!

Definitely put this place on your list; it’s a refreshing change from your standard bodega and made for a great start to our Mendoza weekend. Served picada style, cavas DG has food ready in arrival and allows you a private room to hang out with your friends. Great value too!

This place is incredible. The prices are very cheap. The food in the picture was just the starter. Had the meal ended there, it would still be 5 stars. However, a beef empanada, stew, and pasta followed. Each better than the last. If you are busy with wine tastings in the area, take a break here for a long lunch and relax. Edit: Me and my friend had the worst food poisoning of our lives after eating here.

We stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch after a tour at Luigi Bosca. Wow, what an amazing lunch experience. Excellent food and wine, so much food we couldn’t come close to finishing.
