I had a very nice breakfast here, very cool decor. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They have loads of choice, I had the full Irish, there was a lot there. The American pancakes looked very nice also.

Omg! The food/coffee, the service, the atmosphere - everything about this place - was awesome! The best food we had our whole time in Ireland! We ordered the Let’s get Smashed with side of chorizo and potatoes to share. Was sooo good we went back two days running and the manager/owner was the friendliest host we met - 10/10. A must visit!

Best cookies in Cork! I love the pizookies too, I got one for Christmas and my birthday and they were divine. Absolutely delicious. Lovely, friendly staff, best bakery in Cork in my opinion.

Nice place,opposite train station in cork.Stuff was ok, place is quiet busy,waiter was hangover for sure lol. About the food I have mix feelings,the place was recommended by a friend. First of all minimum details missing from the table like salt and pepper and napkins…I was surprised to be honest…and intrigued on the same time,because this place is high spoken. Eggs were fine cooked,soft as it should be,but no tasty.food on the place was plain ,although looked alright,but,no seasoning and,the hollandaise was not at the greatest quality either. 22,50 for eggs florentine and chips… quiet expensive,in my opinion . 26,50 with dessert and no coffee . Will I be back?Maybe,to try their coffee because I didn’t this time and I love coffee. Thanks guys you are doing great jobs but maybe more attention to details will make the difference.

Had a great experience at this restaurant this morning. The food was absolutely fabulous & the staff could genuinely not have been nicer. I ordered a takeaway & was given a table to sit at while waiting, and received my order with cutlery & plenty of napkins for taking on the train. The waiter (whose name I didn’t catch) gave a complimentary brownie due to having to wait for a while as the restaurant was very busy. Top class service, top class food & ideally located for those travelling by train especially. Would recommend without a doubt. Thank you so such a positive experience & thank you to the lovely man who served me! 🩷

I got the brownie sundae…. Omg. It was moist and had Nutella swirled in it, it was fudgy and perfect. And I’m from Chicago which is the birth place of brownies (fun fact lol). What sucks now is I keep thinking about it and I want one everyday since. I’ll be back but hopefully not too often 🥲

Wonderful place that I often visit becuase of its warm atmosphere and good food. A little pricy, but the food is worth it. 4.95 for iced strawberry matcha, not bad. Has phone charger ports available upstairs

Nice location down a small street. We sat outside and it was nice to see people walking past. We got the fry and the French toast. Fry was nice, French toast wasn't really French toast more of a cake with fruit and mascapone but it was nice. Coffee was good.

Breakfast was quite big and the black pudding was really nice because I usually don't like it. First time in here. €16.50 for breakfast is a lot, it's just too much. €4 for a large Americano? I didn't ask for large and I wasn't offered an alternative and also it just wasn't very large and mostly gone before breakfast was finished. Look, there was plenty of food and I wasn't going to be hungry for a while after this but its just too much money! Could have got cheaper elsewhere (lots of places nearby) but I like to try new places. I wouldn't pay that again.

Food was well presented but tasted pretty average and unseasoned. I got up to ask for salt and the staff were just chatting amongst themselves ignoring me despite clearly seeing me waiting as there were no other customers at the till area. Found better breakfast/brunch elsewhere in Cork. Not bad but certainly not great.

Lovely place for a breakfast. I go here very often and it never disappoints. Food is great and portions are very good. Staff is always nice and polite, they serve food very fast even when they are busy. I would highly recommend trying it out since they have a little of something for everyones taste.

Stopped in for brunch. Delicious and balanced nutritious options. Highly recommend the Duke breakfast plate. The blue colors were calming and the booth was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I really like the cups in this cafe. The color of the tables is wood yellow, which looks great in photos! My friend and I chatted all afternoon on the second floor again. Since I have a lot of free time during the holidays, I learned tarot cards and tried it for her. I hope we can graduate smoothly in the new year.

I'm dying of jealousy writing this comment because this cafe has become my favorite place. The food, the tea, the coffee, the beer, the service are 10/10000. Everything here is inexplicable, it's out of this world. Everything here is good, everything here is wonderful. I went here every day in a row in Cork. The Apple Spice tea is wonderful. Please try it. Everything is made here from the heart. I love this place. My friend and I call it Grandma's house because it evokes warmth and good things! I love it here!

The most adorable place I have ever had breakfast! I had the Full Irish Breakfast and couldn’t finish it all - but I really wanted to. Service was fast and friendly. I also got a scone to go for later and it was delicious. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Lovely place, nice decoration inside, love tea and a special irish breakfast!

We stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was packed! We parked across the street in their parking lot. It was also full. We created our own space. I’m not sure where people park once the lot is full. It’s pretty dangerous crossing the street. There’s a lot of traffic. They need a crosswalk with a stop light. Once inside we were told that they were full, unless we wanted to sit at the bar. We took the bar seats. The bartender waited on us. He was super busy. I ordered the fish and chips. I upgraded my chips to truffle. My husband ordered the main seafood chowder. Both orders were very big. I couldn’t finish half of my fries. The fish was really good. The chowder was really good. The issue was that because they were so busy that we didn’t even have utensils once the food arrived. We asked someone for utensils and promptly got them. We asked someone else for salt and pepper. We asked someone else for a Guiness, but we never got it. We also had to ask for vinegar for the fish. So, there were a few issues with the service. I’m sure it was because it was so busy. But still a little inconvenient. The bill was about €40. I would go back again when the restaurant isn’t so busy. I hope they create a safer way for their customers to park.

We visited the restaurant on a sunny afternoon and it was lovely to sit outside. Staff was helpful and nice, but nothing outstanding. As for the food, starters were nice and tasty but mains not so much. I got the catch of the day, which was the salmon, served with "roasted?" baby potatos (felt boiled), asparagus, and tomatoes. The fish was ok, but everything else on the side was barely edible. I couldn't eat the asparagus, and the potatoes were tasteless. My partner had the fish and chips which was ok, nothing special. I would only suggest it for the atmosphere but not the food.

The food was good. A lot greasier than I expected but that's a personal preference. A friend got the duck salad for mains but was given the starter instead, so double check what they took for the order! Unfortunate mistakes can be happen.

Stopped for lunch on a Monday. I ordered the Philly Steak Cheese Sandwich (I didn't notice any fries mentioned but was fine with that). My partner ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Burger with fries and slaw. Wow when mine arrived it was a very generous size, with lots of steak, onion and cheese on a lovely sourdough bun plus a large portion of real fries and side salad, all was delicious. The Buttermilk Chicken Burger with Fries was also delicious, my partner would have preferred slaw as noted on the menu but in all honesty we couldn't fault it even with that little glitch. Lovely staff too. We will call again.

Good amount of parking, service was great and the food was great too. They managed to find us a table without a booking, even though it was very busy. There are limited vegetarian/ vegan options, but still more than many other places close by. It is a large and busy place so was quite noisy. Pricing is quite expensive.

First Irish breakfast in Ireland! I got the godfather and it was perfectly portioned, comes with tea, and I just love how thick the hash browns are here. This restaurant is bustling with locals and very busy. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but outdoor is much more limited.

Popped to Tony's Bistro this weekend on visit to Cork City. Didn't disappoint. Fab food, fab service. Reasonably priced..particularly given the large portion sizes. Very much enioyed and left with full bellies. Mobster themed restaurant which added a nice touch - dishes for all tastes. The skillet brekkie was particularly good. Look forward to visiting again when in Cork City.

We’ve been to Tony’s many times and it’s always a wonderful experience! The first time my husband and I went was years ago when we had just met, later I went with my mum, and nowadays we go as a family with our little boy. My husband never misses the chance to say how much he LOVES the cappuccino. Our 2-year-old son eats an entire plate by himself (generous portions!) and they always bring coloring pages and crayons to keep him entertained. We especially enjoy going on Sunday mornings when it’s not too crowded. The traditional Irish breakfast is absolutely delicious — we highly recommend it!

I had a full Irish breakfast earlier. Such great value for 12 euro, it is absolutely huge. The food is fresh, tasty and so filling. The owners seem like lovely people too. There is a very nice vibe in this cafe. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Our first breakfast in Ireland had to be a full Irish breakfast, of course. I found Cafe Spresso, which was a short walk from our hotel, and it had pretty good reviews. It was a Monday at around 11 AM, and there was probably only one other table dining. The menu looked like it was a mix of Irish and Hungarian cuisine. We ordered the large Full Irish Breakfast (2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, black and white pudding, mushrooms, beans, tomato, toast, tea or coffee) and one of the Hungarian specials, a meat croquette, which comes with a cup of beetroot soup. The Irish Breakfast was good - oily, like you’d expect. It did the trick. It’s enough to share between two people, just because it’s so greasy. I would skip the croquette. It was definitely left over from the night (or maybe more) before. It was soggy and salty. I did enjoy the beetroot soup, but I didn’t want to mix too much of it with the coffee I was already drinking. Cafe Spresso is a good option for a full Irish brekkie, which is only €12! But I would just stick to that.

Called in for a drink and ended up ordering steak ciabatta x 2. Huge portion ( well for us) but well cooked and presented. Huge place but welcoming staff. Def recommend

Disappointing. Coffee was good but waited 20 mins for my poached eggs on sourdough, meanwhile at least 5 people who arrived after me were served their food. When the food did eventually arrive (without apologies for the lateness), the poached eggs were hard.

Honestly do not recommend this place. I was hungry and I couldn't even eat the food fully. I went it to the till it took the 2 servers a while as it seemed like neither of them wanted to serve me. I ordered a sandwich and a cup of tea. The tea was fab but that is the most easy thing. Now the sandwich I think it was the flying bacon oh Jesus christ. I asked for ciabatta bread the bread I got i don't know what it was but it was rock hard I don't know if the sandwich was supposed to be hot or cold. As the cheese was melted at the edges and the outside tasted warmish while the middle was cold, the ingredients didn't feel fresh like the tomato in it felt like it had been in the sandwich for a while. It tasted disgusting and left a bad taste in my mouth even a few minutes after. I couldn't eat it. The place looks okay it just needs a few improvements

My top 5 places to eat in Cork during the day. Today was a big disappointment though when I decided to sample the hot dish special’Kerala Chicken curry’.instead of a salad. The dish was soup with chicken and rice. The portion size was smaller than usual. . I wouldn’t recommend this in the otherwise amazing quality and well-priced menu (not as a curry anyway).

A great stop for early birds and jet-lagged travelers, as they open an hour or two earlier than most places! The staff were very kind, atmosphere comfortable, and the food was flavorful. Highly recommend the toasts if you need to fuel-up for a busy day.

Delicious spot for some breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I've been wanting to go in for a long time, and I am so glad we finally visited. Great breakfast options, steering away from your usual full irish, fresh produce and amazing, well cooked eggs with just the right amount of seasoning and not too wet or too dry. Delicious coffee and the Organic Açaí Smoothie in a bowl is such a nice touch! Prices are also very competitive at just €7 for the portions you receive is amazing!

The hot chocolate is to die for and the raspberry and white chocolate scone. I stopped in here with a group of friends and have been addicted since. I even got moody when they didn't have the scones as it's so good. It is very peaceful and I managed to finish an assignment in the coffee shop I legit want to go to town just to get the hot chocolate which I have done on a few occasions lol

We have visited here since it first opened. I find the coffee to be good and reliablely consistent. We like their hot chocolate. We like their selection of treats and goodies. They have gluten free options and vegan options. The staff are friendly and welcoming overall. Good for a quick chat. It is wheelchair accessible. It can be a bit crowded though during rush hours. We find it a bit dark. Sitting outside is pleasant enough.

Excellent coffee with beans from all over the world, from Ethiopia to Colombia. If you're looking for a great speciality coffee, this is the place for you. If you want to have a coffee, read a good book or write, this is also a great place. A coffee shop for everyone in Cork.

First coffee roaster of our trip and what a great experience it was! I tried their batch coffee, a medium roast Ethiopian, that got better with every sip. Needless to say, I left with a bag of beans! Plus, the staff members are very knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all the questions I had. There’s a good amount of seating but this place gets pretty packed.

Ordered an extra shot extra hot latte with a piece of carrot cake and a mango granola yogurt just before lunchtime. The coffee was absolutely delicious, as was the other food. We were able to find a table inside, and the guy serving up the drinks was friendly and welcoming. The extra shot could have had something to do with it, but as an aficionado (I have a Rocket at home), I think I have to say this was the best coffee I received on my visit to Cork, and I have had several from many of the third wave outlets. Full points to you guys.

Only after the day was done I met a local that said to do Quay or Marina Market instead. Oh well! It was nice! I bought a ton of olives and some cheese, delicious! The sushi was decent & the kombucha fantastic! Very helpful staff at On The Pigs Back.

This place blew me away . The layout was intriguing fascinating and a pure delight for Any foodie like me . It reminded me in many ways of the markets in far off countries I have explored only much cleaner. With its side passages to explore with new delights to smell and treat you taste buds to . I loved the way the stall holders were happy to let you sample foods .and the jostling crowds were much more civilized than abroad . This place is a touch of heaven but beware you could spend a great deal here as i absolutely did 😉 NOT TO BE MISSED

Good place to visit if you want local and organic produce. Even had a merchant selling lots of vegan brands and a baker offering vegan pastries. We came here late (around 5.15pm and already most stalls were closed or closing down although it was said to be open till 6. If you have the time come visit but I'd not consider it a must-see attraction in Cork.

There are a lot of grocery shopping options and a number of lunch options. It was neat to see this historical market still hustling and bustling. A parking garage is a short 3 minute walk away. We just wished there were more options available to sit to enjoy the lunch we purchased.

Cool indoor market with the full gamut of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, fresh baking, coffee, juices, sushi, you name it. Definitely worth a visit but be careful if hungry! The Farmgate Cafe is worth a visit (up on the balcony/terrace) if all the food on display gets the better of your appetite

Came by on a Monday at around 2:30 AM, excited to try some food. Unfortunately, everything seemed pretty basic and overpriced, and there didn’t seem to be too many options. Instead, the stalls mainly sell produce, meat, cheese, and seafood, which would be great if you were a local, but we were just visiting. There are a few stalls selling things like candies/honey/jams, that were reasonably priced, so we bought a few of those to bring home as souvenirs. We spent probably about half an hour walking around and made it through the entire market. It was fun to walk around and see all the local goods/products, but don’t expect a lot of options for good food if you’re hungry.

Absolutely cracking breakfast/brunch. I walked round town looking for the exact spot I wanted for my first Irish breakfast and so glad I stuck at it. This place was spot on. So much choice to mix your own but I just went for the full Irish. Everything was cooked perfectly, toast included. Relaxed and friendly vibe. Great value too.

Very nice place to eat. Myself and my 12 year old came here for dinner. Chose the lasagne and the chicken breast, avocado burger. Very tasty food and good prices. Overall came to approx £50 for 2 x meals, 2 x drinks and 2 x desserts. Would like to come back if we are in Cork again

Wow, I have to say that the burgers here are amazing! They use real meat, and it tastes so much better than the junk food you get elsewhere. Plus, the price is unbeatable and the staff are super friendly. The place itself is really cool and it's in a great location. If you're looking for a real burger experience in Cork, this is the place to be!

I've been here three times in the last year or so; I feel qualified to leave a decent review now! Each time, the food has been lovely and tasted homemade; the staff have been polite and friendly (more than in most restaurants); and the tables/floor/bathrooms have been clean. I like the vintage decor, location, and I think the prices are on the lower end, by and large. If you're looking for somewhere to have lunch in Cork today, this would be one of my go-to places.

Had brunch here this morning and everything about the experience was exceptional! We had a friendly welcome and were seated immediately. Service was incredibly fast and food was delicious! The service at Hayfield manor hotel was perfect! Turn down service, bags to the room, welcome drink and early check in. All staff were so attentive. Our classic room had everything you could need loved the beige tones and the marble in the bathroom. The pillows weren’t so comfortable and we could hear noise of chairs below us from 12am until 1am not sure if it was the bar. We also went to the spa which had an outdoor jacuzzi and steam room, plenty of extra towels and slippers. Dinner in Orchids was nice, our steaks were cooked perfectly! We had a drink in Bloom in the garden but the atmosphere there wasn’t our favourite it smelled of beer and was very quiet so we went inside to the manor bar. The selection of cocktails is quiet poor for the price. For €20 per drink I’d like to see more flavours, names and a dedicated cocktail menu. The two we did try were average. The hotel is cosy and classic, some birds at the side of the manor and nice little area to walk around even though theres no gardens. Breakfast was lovely I can tell why it’s so highly rated, we loved the scones!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. That friendly, helpful theme continued from every member of staff for our entire stay (3 nights). The hotel was comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast was out of this world! The buffet was plentiful and offered a multitude of options. It even included a dedicated gluten free section. There was also a hot breakfast menu which again offered a multitude of options. We used the bar, ate dinner in the restaurant and used the spa. Our experience of all of these was top class. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and I will definitely be back. The main reason for this high praise is because the staff were so good at their jobs as well as friendly - especially the concierge team.

Every detail was exceptional - the staff made our whole family feel welcome (even the kids!) and we had a fantastic stay! The rooms are beautifully appointed with all the necessary amenities. The pool/spa area was clean and well maintained. We had a brilliant stay and hope to come back again!

We spent two wonderful nights at Hayfield Manor on our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for more. On arrival they upgraded us to a spacious suite, a generous touch that set the tone. The staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive without fuss, and the food—breakfast through dinner—was excellent. A proper, relaxed luxury stay. Highly recommend.

I have been meaning to post this review for over a week , however the wonderful memory still lives large in my mind . We visited the Hayfield Manor last Tuesday and the experience was world class. We stayed in the wonderful Crawford suite and all I can say is wow , the decor is sublime , so freshly decorated in beautiful dusky pinks , a wonderful cozy lounge area , the most comfortable bed ever , a lovely dressing area and a beautiful decadent bathroom . The views were beautiful and we felt so relaxed and away from it all . The whole suite was pristine . Now for the staff they really are the jewel in the crown , from the moment we arrived until checkout everyone was so friendly , professional and a credit to the hotel . I’d like to pay a special mention to Alyssa (apologies if the spelling is incorrect ) she was so wonderful throughout our stay and we really felt that we wanted for nothing , we knew we were in safe hands with her if we had any requests. Now for the breakfast , I can honestly say it has to be on of the best in Ireland, the buffet is out of this world , the standard is exceptionally high quality , beautifully presented and great variety. The hot food menu is also outstanding , it had so much to choose from and we were both delighted with our choice . This really is not your standard hotel breakfast, this is on an entirely different cosmos altogether . We actually didn’t want to leave at all , if we didn’t have other commitments we easily could have stayed another night or more . Thank you so much to everyone , we are already looking forward to coming back.

Wow… what a place! We stayed a few nights on our tour of Ireland and couldn’t be happier with the decision to do so! The location, grounds, and charm of this place is second to none. I wish we could have stayed longer but the time we had here was just amazing and has left lasting memories. The staff here are friendly and welcoming and attentive to customer needs and the outdoor area to have afternoon tea (or drinks) had live music which just added to the overall charm. We really enjoyed the pool, steam room, and hot tub… being able to walk from your room to the facilities in your robe and slippers was excellent! Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at a hotel and provided tons of both “help yourself” and made to order selections. What more can be said other than this is the best hotel stay we’ve ever had and if we ever return to visit Ireland we will be sure to stay here again!

We had a fabulous stay at Hayfield Manor, everything was 5 star service, food was excellent in the restaurant and breakfast was fabulous with a vast selection. Our spa treatments which included Indian head massage and facial massage were the best we have had. Can't wait to return soon!

Excellent quiet location tucked away in central Cork near the English Market. The inside was very nice, but we enjoyed the outdoor seating with the dog (very dog friendly and even brought her a bowl of water). We arrived shortly after opening so it was basically empty. Lovely staff and food was absolutely delicious, we got mostly small share plates, but the seafood chowder was 🤤. Just go ahead and get the big bowl of that.

This was my first time in the Oyster since it was renovated and it's absolutely gorgeous. The lounge downstairs is plush but laid back and the upstairs bar and dining area has a New Cork cocktail bar feel. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (18 for a large cheese/meat plate I couldn't come close to finishing) and came out fast. The staff were great and very responsive, and there's also an excellent choice of drinks. You can sit at the bar in plush seats, so a nice option for dates, and the tables can handle larger groups too. There's a lift upstairs so it's accessible, although the loo doors may be tricky for some wheelchairs. We had a great night and I'll be back next time I fancy treating myself a little.

It was good, broken seat, and even though it was a brunch at 2pm there was no dessert menu. We would have stayed and had a lot more to drink if there was some kind of dessert menu for that time, food we got was lovely. Music was too load for restaurant area as it was turned up at least twice while in there. But the best thing were the Staff, they are outstanding.

Amazing Tapas style food . They have some arepas, classic bar food like chicken wings, scampi, fish and chips etc. Portions are big enough if you’re not a big eater. Great service and good selection of drinks! We tried the chicken wings and the vegetarian arepas with beans. Both dishes were fab!

Really good! A nice little hideaway. Great place for a chill coffee or a bit o day smoozing/ boozing. I believe they do a bottom less brunch for just adding €25 to any meal. The staff here are also extra nice and the washrooms were nice and tidy. It's also worth mentioning that I got a capachino here and it was lovely. Very creamy, smooth blend and most importantly, hot 🔥. Not bad for a bar coffee lads, ye did yerselves proud.

Stylish bar, a little hidden. There's two floors, upstairs has more seating like in a traditional restaurant. The interior looks surprisingly nice! I figured that it isn't a cocktail bar, as the cocktails are quite poor. Didn't try the food.

Wow. You don’t get deli’s like this everywhere so to find such an excellent, and such good value, place in Bantry was amazing. Just a cuppa, or after amazing cakes and delicious light lunches - then come here. You will not be disappointed.

We found this nice little cafe while walking around Bantry early one morning. Had some lovely coffee and hot chocolate as well as a huge hot cross bun which we shared amongst the 6 of us , very tasty. The cafe was quite busy for so early and is near the library. We sat outside and enjoyed our drinks and bun

I was passing by, but wonderful coffee flavour stops me and pushed to come in and have a look what was there 🙂 I found an very good assortment of delicious pastry, snacks and sweets, and tasty coffee of course. I had a cup of Flat White for €3 and it was tasty. However, one thing made me a bit disappointed about the service: I was charged twice. First, there was a kind of misunderstanding between my bank card and shop's terminal, then the second attempt was successful, but my bank statement says I paid for one coffee two times 😕 Upd. They returned overpayment at once I asked for it, applause 👏

Enjoyed our experience here. Loads of food trucks in a large warehouse with loads of good food to choose from. There's a bike hire place here, an events room, crafts room and a shop that sells various sustainable living products as well as deliciously locally made products.

This is a very interesting place to visit if you are you young and like inedible highly priced food in a freezing cold warehouse. It was fascinating to check out the variety of foods on offer but the amounts were small and inedible. Leave this place to the youngsters its too noisy and cold for us oldies who like real food . Look by all means but find a nice warm restaurant to eat in .

Marina Market in Cork is such a fascinating place — full of life, great vibes, and an incredible variety of street food from all over the world. There are plenty of vegan options too! I tried the vegan fish and chips from Eco and it was absolutely delicious. Dogs are welcome, which makes the atmosphere even more relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit spot in Cork!

We drove over to Marina Market on a Tuesday at around 10 AM. Google Maps says that it opens at 8 AM but when we got there, most of the shops were closed. There were only a handful of stalls that were open, and they were mainly coffee places, a few stands selling arts & crafts, and maybe 2 or 3 food spots. The rest of the stalls were still preparing to open, so it seems like this is more of a lunchtime, evening spot. There is a parking lot but it was a bit difficult to find. You kind of have to circle around and when you see a huge open warehouse, you’ve found the entrance. It looks like a pretty cool hangout. As I mentioned, it’s a warehouse but they have a bunch of couches to lounge around on, and also have tables where you can eat your food. Even though most of the spots were still closed, we were able to see the menus and none of the food places really appealed to us as tourists, since all the food is something we can get back at home. But they do have a pretty good variety, so it seems like there is something for everyone.

Whenever I stop by this coffee shop, I always encounter rude baristas. They look constantly angry, serve people with a cold, stone face, and act as if customers are disturbing them just by ordering. Honestly, it’s completely unprofessional and makes the whole place feel unwelcoming.

Nice cafe, but it’s a shame they close in the middle of the afternoon at weekends. Myself and some other customers were being turned away at closing time. I had to go to one of the (many) other coffee shops in town, which were all still bustling with customers.

Ordered a cappuccino and completely scalded my mouth as the barista had heated the milk to a crazy temperature. Very painful and dangerous. Also just a general bad vibe from the place. Avoid like the plague

I ordered the bacon molette, and it was such a pleasant surprise. I am not really into pork, but this bacon tasted incredibly fresh, just like every other organic ingredient on the plate. The portion looks small at first, but it is actually very filling, and everything is beautifully served on top of focaccia bread. The café itself is quite small and cozy. The girls working there are lovely and very welcoming, but there is an older man who completely ignores you, never smiles, and did not even say thank you when we paid. It makes the atmosphere inside feel a bit tense, which for someone like me, who is all about holistic energy and good vibes, is definitely not my cup of tea. However, the food is truly beautiful, and it is the only reason I will be going back. 📍Verdict: Amazing fresh food, a bit of an awkward vibe, but worth visiting for the flavors alone.

Stunning, artisan restaurant on the harbour with wonderful food presented like art. The staff is lovely and they adjusted my meal with gluten free and vegan options. I highly recommend eating here.

I had the eggs Benedict on the English muffin with pulled ham. The presentation was gorgeous. It was delicious, bursting of flavour. Our waiter was very friendly! I would recommend this place.

Fantastic breakfast, staff very kindly accommodated a change to the order. Food came out quickly and was beautifully presented. They have a few tables outside and plenty of seating inside (there’s an upstairs loft as well). Toilets both on the ground floor and upstairs. Would definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast! Everything was delicious.

We arrived at the end of a busy Sunday service. It was a bit hectic with lots of items missing off the menu. I don't think this is the usual experience so I'll need to visit again to compare. Nonetheless, the food was really good. We ordered the breakfast bap and the avocado and toast. The avocado and eggs in particular was great. The addition of the peanut and sesame rayu made it extra special (we even bought a jar when we were leaving).

Great spot for a takeout coffee and pastry. Coffee is very good and the pastries I’ve tried have all been delicious. I haven’t tried the full menu yet, but I look forward to it. There’s a nice seating area and an upstairs (I think with seating too?). There is some outdoor seating as well. Definitely stop in if you’re in the area.

I've been living in Cork for a while, often passing by The Bookshelf. The exterior always caught my attention, as it is very beautiful and well decorated. For my birthday, I decided to make a reservation and... I couldn't have chosen better! 🍻 You have plenty of options on the menu. We opted for the Avo & Eggs, which was exquisite. If you order it, be aware that the Rayu is spicy; you can request it on the side if spice isn't your thing. We also ordered the Korean Chicken Burger—looks spectacular, tastes even better. The service was super friendly. Before leaving, Mark thanked us for choosing the restaurant and invited us to come back. We'll definitely return! Thank you very much ✨😊

Overall a nice place, tables to the front of the restaurant or upstairs are the better option. We ordered 2 tea, bowl of tropical granola and a breakfast bap. Total bill €28 If there was a category for value for money I’d rate it low.

Very cosy pub with good music, friendly staff and a great Guinness! We were only in Mallow for the night and decided to stop by, we ended up staying until the close because we were having such a nice time!

Went there yesterday evening with my partner. We received a warm welcome from Anne and the evening just got better. Delicious food, I had Monkfish, my partner had steak tartare. Wonderful wine. And the service was excellent and there’s a warm, inviting atmosphere in this fabulous restaurant. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back soon.

Having been to 50 Cornmarket three times now (the first 3 of many) I can confidently say that Anne and Dave really know how to create a wonderful dining experience. The front of house team do a fantastic job of making you feel at ease and welcomed, and the food has been interesting, delicious and well presented on every visit. The menu changes seasonally, so it’s definitely worth revisiting if you haven’t been in a while, yet there are some dishes which I hope never leave... Myself and my girlfriend and both chefs and, while neither of us particularly like going to the same place twice (field research etc…) Cornmarket is different. A dish I find myself craving periodically is the pickled mussels on charred sourdough. It’s perfect simplicity, the flavours and textures are absolutely addicting and I would order it every time it’s on the menu. They also treat their vegetables with just as much care as their meat so expect the vegetarian option to be vibrant, delicious and certainly not an afterthought. Cornmarket is a really special little restaurant and one which I will certainly be going back to.

We had a wonderful experience when dining for the first time last weekend for a birthday celebration. We had the window table which was lovely. The food was all delicious, starters, mains and dessert, really good quality and beautifully presented. The staff were all so lovely, even though they were constantly on the go the whole night as it was very busy. We thought it was very good value for the high level of food. The wine menu was very good too with lots of choice. A gem of a restaurant, and we will definitely be back.

Popped in with my wife on a Saturday evening and wow was it busy!!! A great sign for a place right? First, the food. The menu is very interesting with an excellent selection. I had pickled muscles for start, and the rump for main. The pickled muscles were tasty, but somewhat lacking the actual flavour of being pickled. The Rump was a touch overdone and not served with a side which was surprising. My wife had fried oysters to start, and steak tartar for main. I see in other comments that the owner has defended the cost while talking about challenging prices in the business. I would see this as fair, however, it would stand to reason that serving a steak in sauce and nothing else with it is a somewhat sad looking plate. If other business are managing a little something on the side, it may be worth taking a look at how the dish is presented here. The atmosphere was busy, however downside of this was that it would be easier to hold a conversation next to a screaming toddler than here due to the mighty background noise. This is not really the fault of the restaurant as it is the size that it is, just be aware that you may need to perfect your lip reading before arriving. The staff were lovely and very helpful so a big thanks to them! Would I come back? No, too loud but that is just a me problem.

Had dinner here last night with some friends and it was one of the best meals out I had in a long time. The starters in particular were fantastic. We shared a number of them between us and they were superb. I'll certainly be back.

Nice location, friendly staff, great selection of food and not too expensive but the dish that I ordered had way too much hot sauce which made me feel sick at the end. It doesn't look that bad in the photo but there was even more sauce underneath the chicken. Felt like I was having sauce with a salad rather than the other way around. To be fair my sister said I should have gone up and asked for a replacement which I didn't so giving it 3 stars as the person preparing might have just gone a bit wild on the sauce by accident.

Phoned on behalf of my company to order from lunch Menu where we would collect ourselves the next day! Initally after taking my name, company and phone number my order was placed by a very pleasant young man who informed me he was also manning the coffee machine. Wished to pre-pay and was asked by said young man that he would pass me to his Manager, waited and was then advised no orders could be taken for the next day, they were fully booked! Sounded like she was fobbing me off.... Hung up.... what if i had rocked up like i did a few months ago and ordered same from daily menu, for the same number of people? would I have been treated in the same manner? Sounded like said Manager could not be bothered when I spoke to her. Very out dated that one unable to order and pay on-line. We were able to order from competitor and pay on-line plus choose a pick-up time, seamless, professional and friendly, most importantly were delighted with the business we put their way. Naturally Nourished felling very 'unnaturally nourished' and 'disappointed', won't ever order from you or recommend you in the future either professionally or personally. Helen O'Connell

We really enjoyed our stay here. We visited for 3 nights and the beds were comfy, there was a fridge in the room and the bathroom was very spacious. The grounds are lovely and we went to the fairy trail and played in the playground with our little girl. It was easy to get Bottled water to make bottles which made life easier. Breakfast in the mornings was absolutely class We loved it! The breakfast staff were top class! The rooms were cleaned daily and staff very friendly. We went to the swimming pool at the spa which was quite cold for a baby (26 degrees) and there weren't many facilities for baby changing. I asked the staff could my husband take my daughter and they said that only facilities were in the women's (this was a mistake on their part as there are facilities in the men's too) The only thing i didn't enjoy was our restaurant experience in Amber. I would have expected better service from a restaurant within a 5* hotel.

We recently stayed here as a family for a few nights and were so happy with our stay. We booked a family room and on booking we were unable to add the no. of children to the booking so we rang and informed them over the phone. We gave the age of our children (one newborn baby) on the call. When we got to the room there was a beautiful fruit platter and teddy bear in the room congratulating us on our new baby which was lovely and really appreciated. The room was also really spacious and clean with a big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. We used the pool which was also clean and could be booked easily and the breakfast in the morning was great with lots of options for everyone. One of the days we visited Fota Wildlife Park which is just a few minutes drive away and another we spent walking the Fairy Trail on the hotel grounds. The spa facilities are great to unwind with a lovely relaxation room overlooking a peaceful courtyard which you can use after a treatment. There is also a 'cinema room' showing movies for older kids. Overall I highly recommend a family stay here and we're looking forward to coming back.

We loved our stay at Fota Island! We stayed 3 days, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room and facilities were very clean. Breakfast in the morning was great, we did dine one night in the restaurant, it was 7/10. Slightly overpriced for the quality of food and service but everything else was excellent during our stay. The golf course was very nice as well as the wildlife area. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing service! Everyone is genuinely kind and welcoming. The scones are hands down the best in Ireland. The place feels truly luxurious, the seats are incredibly comfortable, and the view is just breathtaking! A kind note for the manager: it is generally considered impolite to interrupt someone while they are playing the piano, especially when they have asked twice for permission to do so. To avoid any confusion in the future, it may be helpful for the manager to ensure that the staff are informed that the piano is reserved for concert use only.

Outstanding hotel, beautiful atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Excellent food and attentive service from Val in Fota restaurant. We throughly enjoyed our 1st wedding anniversary at Fota Island Resort. Definitely will return.

Unfortunately, there was a family staying near our room who allowed their small child to run up and down the halls our entire stay. During our breakfast, that same family allowed that child to run around the dining area unsupervised. Our room was very noisy - we could hear conversations outside as if they were in our room and banging and thumps were heard starting as early as 730am. The bath didn’t have hot water as well. Our second night there was a father allowing his two boys to run around and scream around 845pm outside our window which was awesome. For an establishment that is supposed to be the best in Cork, we were left feeling underwhelmed.

Excellent location. Very welcoming and kind staff. Bed was super comfortable. Shower power wasn’t great. Most TV channels didn’t work. Balcony was lovely. Food was lovely, albeit slow service. Overall, a lovely stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Clayton Hotel Cork City. The location is perfect — everything in Cork is within walking distance, and the hotel has excellent facilities including a pool, sauna, and fitness centre. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lovely views and everything I needed. Most importantly, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I contacted the hotel in advance with a small request, and they kindly offered me a room even better than the one I booked. This really showed how much they care about their guests. Overall, I highly recommend Clayton Hotel Cork City for its great service, comfort, and fantastic location. I will definitely return on my next visit to Cork.

We got a free upgrade because the hotel was full and had a beautiful executive room on the 5 floor, with a great view of the river and Cork. The breakfast area was a little disappointing and I think would be nicer if the window blinds were raised even though there are only buildings outside. The service team looking after the breakfast area could be a bit more motivated. Scrambled eggs and cheese, were gone half an hour before the end of the breakfast times and weren't refilled.

We stayed for one night (2 adults and I child) and while we had a lovely time, it was very basic. There were a few issues. At check-in we approached the receptionist who directed us to self check-in which annoyed me as there were three people on reception and one could easily have checked us in quickly. We had a small child and bags and coats and would have preferred a regular check-in as we still needed her help with this and she needed to give us info on breakfast times and pool facilities etc. anyway so in my opinion it would have been faster if she helped! Self check-in would be handy for a Regular customer or someone who travels frequently. The room was very basic - only one pillow on the beds (usually 2?!), the tap in the bathroom was difficult to use as it seemed to be too far away from the actual basin. It was difficult to access the water without making a mess. The soap dispenser was attached to the mirror and was very high and difficult for kids to reach. I rang reception and asked for extra milk as my daughter used up all the milk sachets for her tea. It did not arrive! We booked dinner with the receptionist in the restaurant and there was no booking and no restaurant open! We ate in the bar. The service in the bar was very poor. Slow delivering our drinks, taking orders, clearing plates and delivering our food. While this sounds like I am being petty, it really was a lot of issues on one visit and it was not cheap to stay there! Overall, disappointing really.

Great location easy access with car park below with lift straight to reception walking distance to all amenities. Hotel very spacious with all facilities, pool etc good comfortable size room as you would expect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar food and breakfast Great we only stayed one night so didn't use restaurant. Went to concert that evening, again just a walk to the venue. Room service from 10.30pm to 6am brilliant if your back late.

Checked in after finishing work and went for a shower to find that there was no shower gel or shampoo in the room. called reception and got through after the third call, they said they would send housekeeping immediately. After 45 minutes housekeeping called and left more hand soap, still no shower gel so I just went to the local shop to buy some. even with the fan turned off the aircon/heating created a draught all night. the bed is shorter than a normal bed as i'm six foot tall my legs were sticking out the end of the bed all night. Restaurant closed before 10pm and I was told that room service wasn't available. The service in other hotels in the area is better and at a much cheaper price.

Nice spacious hotel in a great location, leisure centre was great, friendly staff. The room we had needs a good update and deep clean, no power in the shower, uncomfortable bed and pillows and dirty tacky lamps. We didn't book bed and breakfast but on our first morning thought we stay for breakfast it was €16 and we couldn't eat it, not nice at all. With some room updates and a better breakfast it could be a much better hotel.

Never thought I'd write a review detailing how horribly I messed up booking a room for a night. Me and my partner booked for a later check-in after midnight due to a late flight prior to leaving for our holiday, I booked the wrong night but thankfuly Damien and Moussa got us a room last minute they literally saved us from a terrible experience and we couldn't thank them enough.

Wow! What can I say, this hotel is amazing, we went for a family meal and the food was incredible, from the moment we waited to be seated to the minute we left we were made to feel so welcome! I had the pork tomahawk and had to have two desserts, the cheesecake and the blackout cake and my god I was stuffed and didn’t leave a single crumb. Our server was David, a guy from Malta and nothing was a bother with him, attentive, funny, chatty and all in perfect balance. I will definitely be coming again when I’m back in cork! Thanks guys

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. Lovely hotel, nicely decorated, easy to navigate. We didn't eat here but had a drink in the bar which provided a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming and helpful.

Ate lunch here before flying out of Cork airport. We both ordered burgers. I noticed how quickly they came out and how fast other tables got their food too. I worked in hotels myself for years and that is not necessarily a good sign. The burgers themselves were ok but they seemed somewhat ready made. We both had upset stomachs by the evening time. I do not recommend. The staff and service were excellent. I can’t give more than 1 star because of the food issue.

Went for lunch with my children. The food that came out was bland and not worth even charging for. I had to ask again for mash potatoes for my baby who was waiting. Nearly 20 mins later it arrived and I wouldn’t serve it up to a dog. Then to top it over the tried to over charge me when I went to pay. For a hotel I would have come to on numerous occasions, it’s gone downhill. Avoid

An absolute fabulous two days at this hotel. We had a conference and the staff were amazing. The General Manager Eoghan Murphy even came to say hello and introduce himself. Outstanding service. Food great in the restaurant too. See you next year. 5 stars all round.

We needed somewhere to stay near Cork International Airport.. and I can't remember too many things so I needed a hotel with a similar name to the Airport . Lovely staff, good bar, decent food and room service and a great Breakfast. Make sure you get Breakfast included... unless you are lazy and wake up after 10.30am. In which case buy a sandwich the day before

Rooms are actually the biggest in Cork. Even a lot of hotel rooms are more tiny. Not so this guesthouse, they are huge. Service good. There's always someone on hand to help. Breakfast is very good. Location I will say is great for city centre, might be more challenging if you are going to South suburbs but most places you might want to go are walking distance. Bus stop is outside anyway. I've stayed here many times over the years and it is very well maintained. It looks like bathrooms have been completely refurbished. Most other places don't do many upgrades so this is good. Loads of parking which is not the case in many city hotels or bnbs. I'd recommend here with caveat that it is outside the city centre.

Beautiful lodge with a lovely garden. Room was a good size for a family of 4. It could do with some updating. The bathroom was new but the door in was old and faulty and didn't close. Also we had trouble with the door into the room as this was also faulty. There were tea and coffee facilities with a coffee machine there also. Although our room was facing a busy street we heard very little noise. Breakfast was lovely but a bit confusing. In the dining room we thought it was continental that was on offer as they had no menu on the table. So after sitting down with this we were then asked if we wanted anything from the kitchen, scrambled egg, sausages etc. Would be better to have had a menu on the table. As it is a lodge there is no dinner served or no bar which was fine. A beautiful place to stay and a place i would go to again.

Beautiful place with a lovely garden that has 3 fruit trees! Breakfast is included with your stay which is a great perk. The woman who checked us in was so very kind and helpful. Would stay here again and again. Amazing find hidden away, only 10 mins drive to City Centre. Circle K and other food options right next door, easy to walk to. Most affordable lodging I found in the area.

Great little b&b on the outskirts of Cork. There's not a ton to do within easy walking distance, but driving isn't bad being this far out of the main city. Cute room with a nice courtyard view.

This is a very charming placed. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, very comfy bed only pillows were not comfortable. Lots of parking. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely place But very disappointed with location as it said on Website it was 0.6km to live at the Marquee which is why i booked the Belvedere lodge. But ended up nearly 5 km and we had to get a taxi both ways.

A great buy as they serve a big breakfast that is included in the price. The rooms are a good size and there is a lovely garden area that is a grand place to relax. It's a little far from the city center, but the location can be accessed by bus with stops right in front. A taxi from the train station will run about 17.00 Eu. depending on what app is used. There is also a large car park on site if you're driving.

One the best cafés in Cork without a doubt! Their lattes are extremely well-made and they have many options of different flavors. Also, they’re experts at making delicious sweets and desserts. I’d definitely recommend their pistachio tiramisu! If you’re looking for something savory as well, they sandwiches are very tasty. Crunchy bread with high quality ingredients!

This place is very popular. We really enjoy having our Vanilla Iced latte ( with honey) and the pink one with coconut milk. I also like a lot the cherry sponge cake!

Definitely my favorite café in town! Delicious food, coffee, and desserts, friendly and kind staff, and a wonderful atmosphere—cozy indoors and vibrant outdoors with a beautiful view. I highly recommend visiting and trying the pistachio hot chocolate!

Coffee Scape is a hidden gem in Cork. It has both omni food as well as lots of vegan options, offering hearty healthy and delicious food, snacks, meals and cakes. It also has a great atmosphere and the owners are so friendly. Vegans especially will love the range of food.

I recently visited this delightful Croatian cafe and was thoroughly impressed. The coffee is exceptional, rich, and perfectly brewed. The homemade pastries and snacks, prepared fresh right in front of you, are simply delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel like you've stepped into a friend's home. The friendly staff and cozy decor add to the charm. Additionally, you can enjoy a trendy outdoor seating area by the river. The coffee here is great, and the sweets and cakes are just as lovely, but what really makes this place special is the people. Their warmth and kindness are nicer than anything you could buy. Had a cake and scones and they were tasty. Wanted something hot but they only had porridge despite advertising breakfast sandwiches. Asked for a plain croissant but they weren’t ready

It was a drizzly rainy day, therefore no outside seating. It's a tiny little place but there is seating for probably 6 or 8 people. We had. Our breakfast sandwich was scrambled eggs on toast and some cappuccino and tea. Very nice and cozy. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us.

You can't fault Gusto and the 2 lads running it. There is always a Happy welcome going in there and a bit of a banter. Marco and Dave you are the most friendly baristas that I ever come across over the last 6y in any country, this cafe is a hidden gem in Cork during business hours. Thank you both for being our friends ❤️

One of the few high quality coffee places that opens at 7 am, good cup of flat white, a bit more on the nutty smokey darker flavoured coffee.

It is hard to find a perfect iced coffee in Cork but Cafe Gusto make a perfect iced coffee (Mocha)!

We had an amazing breakfast here while visiting Cork. It's small and was packed at the time we were there. But they were very accommodating and helped locate a table for us. They have gluten-free bread and gluten-free oat milk. Mocha and chai were fabulous. Everything was delicious!

Welcoming staff. I only ordered an americano as I was on my way to visit someone in the nearby hospital, and I was a little early. Both staff members bore lovely smiles and extremely courteous. After paying, I was told to find a seat, and the americano was delivered very quickly to my table. There were a number of young people seated around and talking quietly to each other at their respective tables. I noted that rolls and sandwiches had been served to several of them. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and the welcoming warmth of the staff made this a pleasant visit. I did call in again and was met with the same warmth, although the customers were definitely medical students. I noted that some were using their laptops to presumably study. I would certainly use these premises again if I am in the area

10 month update: Still excellent coffee and porridge! Really excellent coffee and food. The best of people working in there too so just go there really.

Doing homework here with friends, the environment is very nice and the barista is friendly. Brainstorming with friends until I forgot the time, and before I knew it, it was more than three o'clock in the afternoon! A great day!

This is a very nice place to eat breakfast or lunch. Located right in the city centre it has plenty of options to choose from. They have vegetarian options also. The food is very nice and the staff are awesome. Thank you. I would highly recommend a trip here for lunch or breakfast for those who are visiting or even those who live local. You will not be disappointed here.

The shop was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were fast, super friendly and had the biggest smiles. Not to mention the simple ham and cheese toastie that tasted amazing

Have stayed here now on a couple of occasions. Accommodation is very clean, tidy and comfortable. The service and booking in process was really easy and the communications were excellent. You could not want for a better location than the Lemon Leave to explore the very vibrant Kinsale and all it has to offer. All the bars and restaurants are literally on the doorstep. Breakfast and dinning was lovely. However I would recommend booking in advance even if you have confirmed accommodation. It does get busy in the restaurant as it is so nice. I would recommend for sure and look forward to our stay next year.

We didn’t stay but had an amazing breakfast. The full Irish breakfast and shakshuka were the best of our trip. We also had a great Soy latte. Aussies love a good soy latte The staff were very helpful It was warm and cozy and the bathrooms clean

Was a great spot to grab some lunch. Enjoyed the special for the day, which was a delicious tandoori chicken sewer over Indian fried rice. Very fast and present service. Would definitely go again.

The food in this cafe was so bad. Where did the good reviews come from. Way below average at best. Service is terrible. As you can see I have given 4 stars for location. They are lucky I do not own them. Would be some people getting notice. Bacon to the point of food poisoning. Burger tasted like it was synthetic meat, zero flavour. Whomever is cooking needs to be gone. I had to leave it as I did not want to risk being sick for my visit to Cork. If this cafe was not in Kinsale, it would be done.

Such a lovely warm welcome from all the staff. A great location in the centre of town, with all amenities, pubs and restaurant within walking distance. The breakfasts were fabulous as was the coffee and cakes, we enjoyed 4 nights here and I can highly recommend the Lemon Leaf Cafe for your stay in Kinsale.

Great spot in Kinsale, rooms are small but perfect for few days. We unfortunately never had breakfast but heard its one of the best around. Rooms were spotless, plenty towels and pillows. We will definitely be back.

Only reason this gets a 4 star if the burger we had that's it. This place is a massive surprise, outside you wouldn't think it was this cool and nice. I would recommend 100%.

I been here 4 times on different occasions a date a nightout now today food. Its a nice place for food downstairs is very big. The couch is very comfortable. Gets very busy on Saturday nights. Definitely recommend people to come here for food or nightout. Please book table if you are getting food.

This pub is a *must* visit if you are in the area! Lots of seating, awesome whiskey and beer selections (obviously), and a fantastic vibe overall. You won't regret the stop...I guarantee it.

Visually charming and the wine list is fine, but the experience felt strangely empty. Like being served a story that everyone’s pretending to believe. If you enjoy theatrics more than connection, this might be your place.

This place is weird and a bit grim. Service was odd, I wanted a vodka and soda, I was told they only served Smirnoff vodka when there were 2 other options on the shelf. My partner ordered a whisky, we came here due to the name and the wide range of whiskies. The bar tender had to go and wash a whisky glass, it wasn’t busy, not sure why they were out of whisky glasses. Presenting the plain tumbler (based on the announcement from the bar tender about getting a glass I was expecting some special whiskey glass) wet, He wiped it with a dirty tea towel and poured the drink. The place is huge but laid out for dining, there was no where to sit with just drinks so we went outside to the tables on the street. It is all pretty grim and sticky. The awnings whilst providing shelter were disgusting, there were flies everywhere too. The furniture is dirty and uncomfortable. The toilets were also dark and grim. All in all this place has great potential, with a wide range of whiskeys and a historical large building, they would benefit from giving the place a clean to start with. Then perhaps stock up on some appropriate glassware for serving whisky. Wouldn’t recommend

We had a celebration meal there with our family recently and it was very successful. Food was slow in the beginning but the courses came they were all done to perfection / presentation great . Only gripe was we had to give the table back after 2 hrs and we struggled to have all 3 courses in that time span. Apart from that a beautiful well run restaurant.

Amazing atmosphere, the full Irish was delivered fast-ish despite the café being full, food was hot, cooked perfectly and it didn't drip with grease. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but they all seemed friendly and professional. You can see the kitchen through the window in the restaurant and the chefs seemed chill - a big plus, adding to the atmosphere. Overall, a really good experience. The only downside would be the amount of space inside, with lots of people it gets pretty crammed.

We stopped here to have breakfast before heading over to the Titanic museum. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was so good that we went back for another cup later in the day. It's a small restaurant that fills up quickly, but they had outdoor seating as well. They had quick bites for anyone on the go. I will definitely be back for waffles and coffee.

An amazing cafe at the heart of Cove with a big menu of bagels, sandwiches, and wraps. It also has a vast menu for drinks with ample seating space. I’m vegetarian so I had Italian bagel without Ham. I asked the person to switch the meat with egg and they did it without any question or extra money. Frappes there are one of the best frappes I had in a long time. Do visit if you’re in Cove. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Thank you guys! 😊

Nice comfortable coffee shop with happy pleasant staff. Menu consists of wraps and panini and bagels etc. we had the bacon and Brie panini, it was very tasty. They have great coffee and a pretty good range of frappe’s. Also have a reasonable range of cakes and pastries. Good atmosphere and Oh and they have won some awards too.

Right in the middle of the town. The macha latte (oat milk) and coffee is excellent here as are the home made croissants, pan au chocolate and scones. Place to sit down and enjoy the sound of the café available also. Ta very much Jo and team.

This spot is SO lovely. I wandered in to get some baking and was really happy with the selection! I carrot cake was delicious! I highly recommend it. The girls at the front were so friendly and the vibe was just chill and happy. Worth checking out if you’re in Kinsale!

Loved this place. Clean. Great beds. Private cute tiny bathroom in the bedroom. Easy to get there and check in. We rented 2 rooms as we like big beds and one was a bit bigger than a dble, not enough for us. We went downstair for breakfast and it was so nice to have organic and healthy food. I would totally go back! We are in our late 50’s and it was perfect for us. Quiet :)

Fantastic experience! Staff is incredibly friendly, and delightful! The scones are BEYOND incredible; be sure to get them with jam, butter and cream! We also had a Carmel latte which was delicious and a ham and cheese sandwich that really hit the spot. Don’t know if we’ll ever come back, but would definitely return if so! Highly recommend!!

Came here for a coffee and a pastry and was happy to find they serve full breakfast with table service. Appreciated the cafes atmosphere and vibes. Service is a LITTLE slow but I was there on a busy day so if can’t be helped. Had the full Irish breakfast with a scone and cappuccino for a very fair price.

Disclaimer - I have yet to meet a scone I didn't like. With that said, not all scones are created equal. Some drier, some denser, some lighter, etc... That all changed yesterday. I experienced the holy grail of scones. Truly! I don't know what kind of wizardry or sorcery is happening in the kitchen; all I can say is this is quite literally, the best scone experience I have ever had. So much so, I went again today. You know, just to make sure. I nearly wept with the last bite, knowing I would not experience this again until my next trip to Cobh. The coup de grâce was the expertly crafted flat white. I know, I know. It sounds too good to be true. Yet, it's not. A place like this really exists and it might just be heaven on earth.

Had a breakfast, 2 adults full Irish and 2 kiss one had porridge and one had pancakes. Lovely food, maybe a little cold on the breakfast but was OK. The kids porridge is massive maybe that could be made smaller and price reduced as my 12yr old couldn't eat such a big bowl. Coat for us all was just over €40 not overly expensive but definitely not a budget option. Service was brilliant and the ladies couldn't be more helpful. Also love the fact you can donate your re-turn bottles to help the local hospital 🏥❤️❤️

Absolutely fabulous place, cosy, friendly, in a wonderful location. I loved the service, the food and the atmosphere of this place. Coffee could be a little bit more tasty (it's not about the brewing, I believe that's grains fault) but still I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend!

We had a group of 4 and everyone LOVED what they ordered yesterday. I had the Smashed Avocado and I’d order it over and over again. Avocado was fresh and the eggs cooked to perfection. The salad’s sweet vinaigrette tasted amazing. I also ordered a vanilla latte and it was divine. Our group is heading there again this morning before we head out of the city.

Food way overpriced and eggs almost a little undercooked. For the price of a veg breakfast you'd expect to be full to the gills leaving the place. Instead was served tiny jars of Beans and avocado to fill up the plate. It should be way cheaper if there is no actual fake meat on the plate. In comparison to the reg (fry) there's a world of difference.

Today I went to Velo Café, totally exhausted and struggling with the weather. I had a big buggy and wanted to sit outside. But the lovely lady invited me to take a seat. I just got green tea, nothing else, but the treated us like a VIP client. I was able to feed the toddler and just got a break from my day. I'll be coming back here because the staff is absolutely lovely. Reny&Jude

Wonderful little breakfast spot! Many of the cafés are closed on Sunday, so we stumbled in here due to the fact that it was open, but it was the best surprise ever! Delicious food, wonderful service, and an overall good experience.

The staff were very respectful and nice in the morning for breakfast. I didn’t like the fact that breakfast menu shows dishes but no drink included on the 11€ dish price, I had to take coffee apart.

Great savoury and sweet crepes, and the best hot chocolate I've ever had! The prices aren't the cheapest, but the portion sizes were good and the food was delicious. There was a constant stream of customers for the hour we were there, so they're doing something right!

This cafe is always busy and you can see why - the crepes are delicious and very popular with families. Plenty of savoury options on the menu as well, for those who don't like them sweet. Great breakfast pancakes with egg and bacon. Kids will love the ridiculous amount of homemade chocolate sauce, and the food is always Instagramable if that's your thing. Crepes only, no thicker pancakes. Only takes cash and wheelchair accessibility is tricky, with a tight squeeze through to the seating and toilets down a flight of steps.

I entered this restaurant today and was greeted by a nice quiet lady from behind the counter,but also their was a gentleman working their who I presumed was the owner,I said hello to him only to be completely ignored,I passed him by on my way to the bathrooms, again I spoke only to get a stare from the gentleman! how rude he was ,I left a tip as he stood near me, again not a word out of him ! I will not be going back to Paradise cafe, food was average.

I had the Main Street Crepe for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Service was also amazing and the staff were so friendly. Really wish I was here longer so I could try more off the menu. I would highly recommend stopping in for a coffee and a crepe!

There is a selection of light lunch options. We arrived mid afternoon and the selection of cakes had been reduced by a busy lunchtime. We recommend visiting this cafe in the morning so that you can enjoy choosing from the full range of sweet treats available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a covered outdoor eating area, a real bonus if you have a dog with you, so that you can still enjoy a cuppa and cake in the dry.

Popped in while waiting to attend an appointment nearby. Had the seafood chowder, it was devine, a very generous portion, full of beautiful fresh fish and piping hot the way I love it😋served with 2 slices of delicious fresh brown soda bread and followed by a lovely pot of tea. Tasteless warm chicken salad - huge chunks of fried potatoes and no dressing - wasn’t offered any or given any!!!! Crepes were thick and chewy - no kid will eat that !!! Staff - extremely unpleasant and NOT helpful at all - I can’t call them rude because they just didn’t care to pay us any mind - it felt as if they just wanted us to leave

I found this place via Google and would highly recommend. The breakfast was delicious, the white pudding especially! Staff were so kind and friendly plus super efficient. Absolute value for money to! If you're in Midleton this place is worth the stop!

Everyone around seems to embody the true cafe spirit - where food is savored, and conversations flow as smoothly as the jazz humming in the background. It all screams "Instagram me," so if you forgot your phone, you might as well have not eaten here at all. Let's spill the beans about the coffee - literally, that might improve it. It's clear the coffee beans were roasted in the fires of indifference, promising a journey through the seven layers of bland. Each sip is like expecting a symphony but getting a kazoo solo instead; it's like they’re experimenting with a new flavor called "Eau de Disappointment." In summary, the experience is a delightful symphony with just one off-key note. Fix that, and we’re golden – or, well, espresso golden.

Great food and lovely atmosphere

Stopped by Priory Coffee Co. on a recent trip to Youghal, and it was a delightful find! The atmosphere is modern and inviting, with moody lighting and great music that sets a relaxed vibe. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome right away. I ordered a mocha coffee, and the Badger & Dodo coffee lived up to its reputation—rich, smooth, and easily one of the best cups I’ve had in a while. The breakfast menu was a highlight. I went for the avocado toast on their gluten-free bread, which was fresh and perfectly prepared. My friend got the full Irish breakfast, and the portion was generous enough to keep us fueled for hours. They also have vegan and vegetarian options, which is a big plus for mixed groups. The only downside was that the place was quite busy, so service took a little longer than expected, but nothing major. The decor, with its nod to the historic Benedictine Priory, adds a unique charm. If you’re in Youghal and need a spot for a quality coffee or a hearty breakfast, Priory is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back next time

Lovely coffee shop with a nice style in the inside, industrial and modern at the same time. Some lovely outdoor tables with great big umbrellas to help keep you dry. I had a cappuccino on this occasion. It was nice and smooth with a dense foamy milky top. The chocolate brownie was rich, moist and indulgent. One was more than enough between two people The staff were great, dropped everything out to the outside table I had sat at

I think these where the best poached eggs I’ve ever had. It tasted very good and the sourdough was not soggy with all the things it had on it. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The Priory in Youghal, Co. Cork is fabulous. The food is divine and delicious 😋 and the service in a very high standard. We always feel welcomed. We love the place and coming back each weekend after swimming lessons.

We arrived in town at 425 pm, most everything was closed or closing. They were sweeping floors, unlocked the door, made us a coffee and pastry. Lovely people would highly recommend it during business hours.

The hotel is exceptional in a number of ways. First of all, the customer service and personalised attention to detail was just fantastic. The staff went out of their way to facilitate/anticipate requests. The atmosphere was lovely. It is a family-owned hotel and they do check with guests to see that they are comfortable etc. The food was absolutely superb! There was a fabulous choice for breakfast and the Michelin-recommended restaurant and bar food were excellent. I also noticed that a lot of the guests were repeat visitors, which is always a good sign. The entire house was spotless and extremely comfortable. The hotel setting is also very attractive, with lovely sea views. I really didn’t expect it to be so good and highly recommend it.

What can I say- from start to finish, we had the most amazing stay in Dunmore House. You need to book a Superior sea view room to take in the most spectacular views across the bay and to be able to hear the sea from the room is heavenly. The staff are all amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the lovely family welcome and the check ins by Carol is a lovely touch. Coupled with beautiful food- locally caught seafood, salads from the gardens at Dunmore- sure we rolled home!! I'd go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend

Always a joy to be a guest. Warm , friendly yet ultra professional ....the beauty of the surroundings are more than matched with the luxurious yet relaxing interior. A beautiful hotel, not just as a base, but somewhere to totally unwind and be taken care of. The bar food, and indeed that of the restaurant is unsurpassed. Its a must, and you will find yourself repeating the experience.

We got married here in July and it was the best day of our lives. Peter, Ann-Marie and the entire team looked after us and our guests like we were family. Every little thing was taken care of. The hotel is in a stunning location, the food was amazing and even the weather cooperated. We cannot recommend it enough and we will be back soon!

2 nights at Dunmore House Hotel, what a location overlooking the sea and various beaches. A really lovely hotel, cosy and comfortable, everything so spic and span. Great staff, lots of mannerly, courteous young people. Breakfast was beautiful, lots of seasonal fruits, cereals, yoghurt, croissants and sweet treats and a menu for the main event, poached eggs and bacon on sourdough for me, perfection! I ate in the bar area on the two nights- lovely, if you are a fish lover you have a huge choice. They had music on the Tuesday night in the lobby- very enjoyable. Mary and Alice on reception were so welcoming, a lovely welcoming letter with my name on it greeted me in the room. A mention to Donna in the bar who looked out for me. I loved it, would definitely go back.

From the moment we set foot in Dunmore House Hotel, we knew it was the place for us. It was one of the first venues we viewed, and we instantly fell in love. The venue is absolutely stunning, perched on the cliffs with breathtaking views of the sea – the perfect backdrop for a wedding. But what truly sets Dunmore apart is the team behind it. From the start, Peter and the team made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly friendly, and we felt at ease right away. They listened to our ideas and shared so many helpful suggestions to make our day even better. There was never a single request they wouldn’t accommodate, and their positive, helpful attitude made the whole planning process a joy. When we met Peter the week before the wedding to finalize details, the weather forecast was looking grim. But even then, nothing phased the team. On the day of our wedding, with stormy weather making things tricky, Dunmore’s team made quick decisions to change the location of our drinks reception and reworked the schedule to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was seamless, and we never had to worry about a thing – they handled everything with such grace and professionalism. Our day was flawless from start to finish, and we truly believe it’s all thanks to the amazing team at Dunmore House. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue, and the food was a major highlight – everyone was delighted with the meal. We are so thrilled we chose Dunmore for our wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A huge thank you to Peter and the whole team – you made our day unforgettable.

Fabulous high standard family run hotel. There is a huge attention to detail and they staff could not do enough for you. We attended wedding here. I loved the outside space as well looking down over the sea.

We were recommended this place as a must visit when in cork. When we came in and sat down the places didn’t disappoint us. The menu is very crisp and clear. We ordered variety of food like Risotto, spaghetti Bolognaise, Leonardos Burger etc. Must say the food tasted good but the burger was a let down. The beef pasty was burnt and was super dry. When the waitress came to ask if all was good. I told her everything was fantastic but for the burger. All she had to say was our burgers are well done and that’s the way it comes. For 17 euros I accept my burgers to be tasting good and I have had a fair share of burgers in my life. All the way from 10 euros to 25 euros so I know what to expect at what price point.

A busy little greasy spoon cafe with some extra dishes! Very friendly service, good sized portions and reasonable prices. We tried the full Irish and it's vegetarian counter part. A little salty for my taste but overall no real complaints! 👍

Best food in Cobh in my opinion. Beautiful menu with loads of Italian specialties cooked to order Family affair behind the counter. Father and sons. Very reasonably prices given the quality on offer. Full Irish freshly cooked includes Tea & coffee for €11.50 (May 2024) I'd highly recommend Seafood Tagliatelle or the Italian Burger.

Wonderful cafe, felt like home I had the smoked salmon on toast 2x and a side salad, my love ordered a simple breakfast without meat. The place was a hopping.

This restaurant gives me a homey vibes. Nothing fancy, a good place to eat with nice staff and clean place. Location is excellent as it is bay facing and jz a minite walk from the cathedral. We went there during lunch time and despite the busy times, we got our food without waiting too long. The food are as good as we expected, and reasonably priced. Will be back when I get to visit Cobh again.

Good quality simple fare that hits the spot. We arrived at a busy time and they found room for us for lunch. Food was very nice - nothy fancy but everything done well. The Italian burger was great good quality beef and nice with dried tomatoe, lettuce and crispy pancetta. Club sandwich was great, as was pasta and soup of the day - no one complained. Friendly service with a smile!

Quaint little cafe with friendly, welcoming staff. Pretty decor and a happy atmosphere. The sort of place books are written about. I went in and ate alone but didn’t feel awkward at all. Great coffee and fantastic food- I had a full Irish - The other reviews don’t disappoint, it was fantastic, the best black and white pudding I’ve ever eaten!

Great place ! I had an irish breakfast, wich was perfect. And they servevery good coffee. Go to the toilet, it’s full of wisdom !

We stopped by this charming cafe for a brief coffee and some sweet treats. The proprietor of the shop was one of the most charming people I’ve ever met. She even sat down with us for a quick selfie. The coffee was excellent and the treats delicious. Hello again from Canada.

Great cakes, mega hot chocolate and the loveliest staff! Lovely little stop after the Garnish Island.

We stopped in Glengarriff looking for coffee and a bite to eat, we were so lucky to find the Sugarloaf Cafe. The best BLT I ever tasted, the lady even gave me maple syrup all the way from Canada on the side, very tasty. Can highly recommend the cappuccino. It was excellent. If you are passing through Glengarriff the Sugarloaf is a must stop, I'll be back soon.

I had breakfast as well as different cakes on multiple occasions in this lovely little café and every single time I was greeted by friendly staff and went home satisfied. The homemade cakes that are baked with love are absolutely delightful. The owner is a sunshine in person. I'll definitely be back many times!

Super cute and cosy cafe with amazing Irish breakfast but also a broad menu if you are in the mood for something else! Staff is super friendly, I asked not to add black and white pudding and without even requesting they added extra hash browns and eggs for me instead! Best hash browns I’ve ever ate too! Highly recommend!

There was 1 key at check in for 2 people. Went back to ask if we could get a 2nd key cut and were moved to another room. 2nd room had tea/coffee but no kettle, espresso machine or fan, so we grabbed them from the first room as to not bother staff. There was also no iron. Window hard to open. Safe hard to lock and couldn’t unlock it. Maintenance arrived and unlocked it manually. I asked how to relock it and he said he had bad English. I was a bit worried as I had to leave and had nowhere to store passport/cash. As I was leaving, a manager arrived and figured out the safe batteries were dead, so she gave me new batteries. Room service gave us new towels and water only but didn’t replenish coffee or milk. There is no fan in the bathroom. Shower was cold on 3rd day, and reception said to wait 20 minutes while they boosted the hot water. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, yet cleaning staff scared me by walking in without knocking. To note, there were no internal-only locks, which seemed a bit unsafe, especially considering we were told that a previous guest walked out with one of the keys to our original room. All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable (as long as you don’t fall into the middle where two twins were pushed together) and location great. The issue is it is a 3 star hotel billed as 5 star, so overpriced/overrated. If it were listed as a 3 star and priced accordingly, there would be no issue.

Breakfast was superb and location excellent! Got some little fancy chocolates as a welcome treat which was nice We were there on an unseasonably warm weekend so rooms were pretty toasty even with windows open (there might be a better breeze in a sea-facing room?) but not the hotel’s fault. Bathroom was just okay, and we noted quite a lot of dirt around the window frames Tried to ask the receptionist for pub dinner recs and she would only give us names of restaurants connected with their sister hotel - I get it’s her job but this was a little annoying

Very old room that needs renovations. Elevator didn't work on main floor. Beds very comfortable. Windows had bird poop all over them. Tub very dangerous to get in/out, so that meant no showering. Quiet room. Way overpriced and definitely not 4 or 5 stars. Jude very welcoming upon arrival, but, paying up front not ok. Breakfast was fantastic!

I love love love love this city! Unfortunately we did not get to stay long. However I got a feel for the city and its people as soon as I stepped of the bus. It’s busy and crazy but so friendly and welcoming at the same time! As for the hotel. I was not a fan, it’s old and I love old, love the history and the charm but it seemed more of a places that needed updating. I hated my room but my family loved there’s. To each their own I guess!

Kinsale was a lovely little town with interesting history and lots of dining and shopping options. The best thing about the OId Bank was the little restaurant and the woman in charge there. I have forgotten her name but kind and efficient. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The stairs are narrow and steep. There is a lift.

Room was extremely small, floor was loud and creaky in whole room. no power points in bathrooms, shower leaked, no small fridge at all. No shampoos or conditioners even. Challenging to get in and out of shower around toilet. Lift didnt work well and was tiny. Receptionist was lovely but apart from that I wouldnt recommend. Extremely overpriced for what it was we were disappointed for what we paid. Certainly no more than a 2-3 star room and paid 4-5 star price.

Stopped here on a culinary tour to taste traditional Irish pork sausage. A few curbside offered quick seating.

Amazing breakfast. Pancakes are lovely and the 'I want it all' breakfast was class. Great atmosphere too with rock music playing and really friendly staff! Will definitely be back again

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming honestly perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee. The two lovely girls working there were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The coffee was excellent and everything felt cozy and inviting. Definitely a place I’d recommend and will be visiting again

Wow, the coffee service at this place is truly impressive! Coming from the US where good coffee is a necessity, we are used to fast-paced and often impersonal service, but the staff at this coffee shop was extremely nice, friendly, and attentive. They even remembered us! The display of food was beautiful, and the freshly made subs and pastries were delicious. The atmosphere was great. Keep in mind that this is a small coffee shop, but it's definitely worth a visit!

Outstanding in every way! One of those rare establishments I wish I could give more that 5-🌟. Newly expanded cafe offers delectable and innovative culinary creations. Roast watermelon transformed into a vegan tuna sushi for a flavour packed poke delight. I was admittedly skeptical but glad I didn't bow to prejudice. Staff is lovely and their coffee is as good as ever.

We were here yesterday as we were visiting my mother Who is a patient in the mercy hospital. Great little find! Friendly staff, very quick service. So cosy and just an ideal little find.

I had the coffee here and it was bitter I think they added too much coffee. I can drink strong coffee but this was bitter and adding sugar didn't help it. It is overpriced and not really high standard and a few of the staff look depressed there but the staff were nice I just felt bad for them. If it's all of them looking a bit sad it's usually the way they are treated by management, i know from personal experience. Edit: Excuse me but I don't care. 1 I don't go to Ucc, 2 This is my review of your café I have given other places 1 star your not special. 3 if you are going to threaten defamation you have to prove that what people say are false. 4 I never knew about you threatening a staff with a weapon allegedly now I regret ever going to your cafe as that is disgusting to have that as a rumour. This comment you made makes you seem deranged. I never knew about the rumours I stopped in and had bad coffee which is what I put down and your staff seemed sad how would you know if you ain't there. You have to things in your personal life. Get a grip not everyone is going to like your cafe

Very nice coffee but quite pricey. The coffee cup on display was definitely bigger than the one we got. We didn’t get food but the pastries looked very tasty.

I like to visit here every so often for a coffee. I like to see what beans they are roasting and have available for sale. The team members are friendly enough. We notice that it gets busy. Sitting outside when the sun is out ideal. Sitting inside is perfect on those rainy days. I find the spot good for quick meetings and dates.

Great little cafe. Loved all the natural light in the cafe. Had a oat matcha latte ( vegan) was creamy and tasty. Husband had a white Americano and enjoyed it.

Clean and calm spot in the vibrant city centre, beautiful place to get out of dodge from the bad weather and great study spot. Great gluten-free brownies and above all amazing coffee by far best I've had in the city. Staff are super kind and friendly and happy to help with alot of accommodations if there and super attentive.

Coffees always good here and the service is super nice and quick despite always being busy. Staff in particular are lovely, especially girl with auburn hair and one with bleached eyebrows!! Normally get sick of coffee places after a while but this has been a happy regular for me for a while now :)

Love this spot. These guys are always so friendly and welcoming. Delicious coffee at a good price. And love the option of having a loyalty card which a lot of other places have stopped doing. Thanks for the lovely service :)
