Seafood restaurant
Barbara Fish House is one of the top lunch restaurants in Faroe Islands, known for serving excellent Faroese produce. The restaurant features an old-fashioned interior that matches the historic houses, with hardwood floors, wooden tables, framed photos on the walls, antiques, and candlelight. It's a great place to enjoy mussels, razor clams, and their famous fish soup. Additionally, they offer delicious sushi from Etika.
A fresh and well-curated dining experience, full of charm and youthful energy. We went for the 4-course menu with wine pairing, and were guided through the evening by two very young ladies, one of whom was on her first day. That was not noticeable at all. Everything went smoothly - she was confident, well-informed, and always with a lovely smile, and the same goes for her more experienced colleague. Great team! The meal opened with capelin and horse mussel pintxos, served on squid ink toast, with pickled Spanish chili and garlic aioli. A bold but balanced start. That was followed by a beautiful ceviche with the fish of the day, presented with tomato, cucumber, daikon and trout roe - fresh, crisp, and acidic in all the right ways. The seafood continued with blue mussels in escabeche, and a standout cod cheek in panko, served with pilpil sauce, chickpeas and tomato salad. Hearty, with both crunch and depth. Dessert was a rich and nostalgic flan with berry compote and honey caramel. The wine pairing was thoughtful and regionally on point: Catalán Cava for the appetizers Albariño from Galicia for the mussels Priorat from Catalonia for the cod cheek The room is atmospheric and informal, more “seafood tavern with flair” than fine dining, but the ingredients are fresh, the kitchen knows what it’s doing, and the experience is well-paced and well priced.

Had an 8pm dinner at Barbara. It's a cute restaurant in the center tor Torshavn. The restaurant was quite busy when we got there and it made the service slow. The offering are a tasting menu of 6 or 4 dishes. I had the 4 dishes menu and though dishes were good, most of them where quite salty. The main of fresh cod with tomatoes and vegetables was very good. The restaurant is in a small old house so tables are small and you can be quite close to other dinners.

Was my first meal in Tórshavn and Faroe Islands. There were a few famous restaurants at this area and I randomly picked this place. I did a walk in without and reservation and initially was told they might not have a place but eventually gave me a seat by the window and entrance. Hence would recommend people interested in dining here to make reservations to avoid disappointment. The staff here are all pretty young ladies who are pretty shy. Minimal contact with diners except serving the dishes. Some served and left some actually described the ingredients in the dish and some spoke halfway got stuck couldn't translate into English and walked off. I came and I tried the 6 course menu instead of the 4. Since already here and the price difference is not much why not try the former? For the dishes basically they are good and there is nothing much to fault about. The pintxos were good, loved the squid ink toast especially. The ceviche with tomatoes were quite a first for me never had tomatoes in the dish before and it could be quite refreshing I have to say. The balacao was not bad but the rest were really the highlight of the meal. The remaining dishes were seafood based and it was so delicious and the seafood was so fresh and well prepared. The mussels oh so soft and juicy, save the remaining sauce to go with the bread. The fish soup was like oh so good I was wondering if this is the authentic fish soup here where the Faroese drink everyday I would be so envious of them. Last but not the least, didn't expect a whole fried fish, the ocean perch, perfectly fried so crispy and yet the meat inside is so soft and juicy. No words to describe how enjoyable it was. Ended with the dessert which was a flan with mixed berries and honeycomb, which was also like a first to me as the usually way is just having flan as plain as it is. Truly a great meal and it has definitely set a benchmark for the rest of the meals here in Faroe Islands. Good food but the service definitely can be improved.

My friends and I had a lovely dinner. The food was exquisite, and beautifully presented, as in most other restaurants we have visited here they only have a set menu and you can choose how many courses you have (4 or 7 at Barbara’s fish house), however they were able to cater for our dietary restrictions without any problems. The service was courteous, but we could have done with our food coming a little quicker, nevertheless as the restaurant was fully booked we can’t complain.
Gisella C — Google review
delicious place!!! you can choose between 4 or 6 courses. we did 6 with wine and it was great. white wines from Spain and Portugal. We did reservation through the app. And noted that one person is gluten intolerant and they prepared perfectly for it with gluten free options. The staff is super nice and helpful. the food is outstanding. i would highly recommend this place and will be back. We made the reservation at 18:30 and it was empty. As soon as 19h hit everyone started arriving

The best fish I’ve ever been served! Additionally, the atmosphere is extremely authentic, which gives the experience a uniqueness rarely experienced. Huge recommendation 👌🏼
Victor S — Google review
Barbara’s Fish House offers a very interesting and unique mix of Spanish and Faroese dishes that really stands out. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a lovely interior design that adds a lot to the dining experience. Service was good and friendly throughout. The only downside was the limited menu options, which made choosing a bit difficult. Still, the quality more than made up for it. A great place for something a bit different!

Delicious seafood. Had the 4-course - all dishes were excellent. The service was a friendly, but a bit slow’ish. Room feels very homey and cosy

Bar
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Torshavn, Sirkus Bar is a delightful spot that invites you to unwind and indulge in local brews. This quirky bar offers a menu filled with comfort food, making it an ideal hangout for both locals and travelers alike. As the sun sets on weekends, Sirkus transforms into a lively venue featuring live music and dancing, creating an electric atmosphere perfect for letting loose.
Sirkus in Tórshavn has character that makes it stand out from the rest of the bars we went to in the Faroe Islands. I can’t exactly pinpoint what it is, it could be the eccentric decorations or the psychedelic vibe – either way, its eccentricity is part of its strange appeal and charm. The price of drinks were OK too. We had a good time at Sirkus in Tórshavn and would recommend them if you’re ever in the Faroe Islands.
Jordan M — Google review
Sirkus Bar in Tórshavn is a nice and special spot with a great atmosphere. It has a cool, laid-back vibe and is a great place to relax with friends. The drink selection is good, especially for cocktails and spirits, and the staff are friendly. I would have loved to see a bit more variety in the beer options, but overall, it's a great bar worth visiting when in town.
Martin U — Google review
Server was nonchalant, stood behind the bar and did not bother to serve us until I approached to ask for the menu. Burger buns were cold and hard, the patty was salty and I heard the microwave sound go off. Barely touched the burger. Definitely avoid the place for food.
Rickson T — Google review
Akward experience. In the first portion of fish and chips, one of the fish pieces was still cold ininside. As I retuned it, the waitress was sorry and promised to make me a new one. When the new portion arrived, the fish was not just cold but still half frozen. At the same tome two new customers arrived and begin to play a piano loudly, rather out of tune. The other customers left one by one, and so did we. Three strars for the most weard bar experience ever - if you are looking for one.
Kaisa H — Google review
Truly a nice and quiet location. Relaxing music is played, quiet enough for a chat. Fish and chips are decent. Local beer on tap and some special bottled brews. Beautiful staff ;-)

Visited on a quiet evening but very nice staff and selection of local beer. Highly recommend a visit if you are in town.

Good vegan options. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Only four stars bc of small portion size. Burger was a bit cold and salad a bit boring. Got more potential. In general it was a nice experience. :)

Mikkeller Tórshavn is a charming and rustic craft beer haven located in the heart of the old city, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The cozy environment, friendly staff, and excellent selection of craft beers cater to various tastes. With 12-16 taps offering mostly Mikkeller and local beers along with some imports, this bar provides a diverse range of options for beer enthusiasts.
Tucked away in the historic district, this small bar doesn’t serve food but pours fresh beer from the nearby OY brewery. I had a surprisingly good IPA—on the house, thanks to a credit card glitch that day. Cozy spot with local flavor.
Roman K — Google review
I saw this place being recommended in a TV program and decided to visit here when I was in Faroe Islands. It's a very small, warm, and cozy place the moment you walk in the whole place is covered with wood it gives like a sauna setting. Its owned by a young lad pretty experienced in craft beers and he came up with all the different variations. Also in the shop is his welcoming dog which is so happy and goes around the customers for pats. I didn't know what to try so asked for some recommendations, and so after asking for my preferences he recommended me quite a few and I said probably I could only handle 2 and so he asked me to try 2 and 12. 2 is the signature and 12 is another of the lighter craft beers in the house. So had 2 and really loved how light and smooth the beers were, and he could understand my preferences well to recommend those to my liking. Was a nice place to chill but started to get more crowded and noisy so I didn't stay long finished the drinks and left. Its one of the places you must try when in Tórshavn. Saw one with the same name in Copenhagen airport not sure if it's the same?
Matthew L — Google review
One of very few in Tórshavn that were open on a Monday, but a good atmosphere. Mostly fellow tourists, probably because no one else was silly enough to be drinking on a Monday. Mostly imported beer but there were enough local ones to satisfy me. 12 taps (I think) , so a decent selection.
James — Google review
Lots of choices for craft beers but very few choices in other types of drinks. Some pub food and snacks would be nice.
Ken P — Google review
The best address in Tórshavn if you want to get some tasty craft beers. Ambience, playlist and audience have been great and the staff is super friendly. Tasted som incredible beers with the Organc Brown Ale marking one of my all time favorites. If you want to get those beers in central Europe as well, you have to go to Copenhagen or other Mikkeller spots, though, as they can't export from the Faroes. I hope to get back there some time, because the bar is really one of a kind.
Torn — Google review
For food read Beer. Amazing selection of craft beers. We always come here when we pass through Torshavn.
Alex G — Google review
Great variety of local and international beers, cool atmosphere, very friendly staff. The place is an old but well kept house, so you get an impression of the high functionality of traditional local architecture.
Hagai L — Google review
A cozy craft beer bar in old town. Nice setting and interior that feels suitable for a small house in old town. Beer from Mikkeller and other craft breweries around the globe. Quite few guests and it seems the turnaround for draft beers is slow during the tourism low season but still one of the best craft beer bars on the Faroe Islands. A must visit if you're into beer.

Restaurant
Located in Torshavn, The Tarv Grillhouse is a top-rated restaurant known for its grilled meat and seafood dishes. Situated in a newly renovated building by the harbor, it offers stunning sea views. The spacious interior features a charming rustic ambiance with modern decor touches. While the service has received mixed reviews, the menu boasts a variety of delectable options including grilled meats and fish dishes.
Absolutely amazing food, everything fresh and tasty. Nice and friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Definitely coming back here anytime I'd be back in town!
Zuzana H — Google review
Don’t easily try monkfish, the catch of the day. The meat is very chewy and tastes strange, not fresh and sweet. The cod also has a very bland flavor, and I don’t know how it was cooked—it just tastes like water. The appetizer, langoustines, was very delicious. The price is quite high, and both the service and the serving speed are very slow.
Xy M — Google review
We started with the charcuterie board, keen to try the wind dried lamb. Then we went for the main courses. Sadly, they have more foreign meat for main courses than local meat/food. We got lamb rack and the catch of the day (fish). The lamb was ok, but quite chewy. The fish, a monkfish, was absolutely amazing, but it was expensive (550 DKK). Service was ok, but not great. We were seated on a dark corner even though most of the place was empty. Just found everything overpriced.
Daniela P — Google review
Slow service that got worse as the night went on tanked my rating for this establishment. We were seated promptly for our 8pm reservation, but at 10pm we were still waiting for our entrees! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he wasn’t in this evening (August 2, 2025), so I asked for an assistant manager. She appeared to be one of the senior servers and brought us our check with the glasses of wine removed from the tab, which we appreciated. She also apologized for the hectic night the entire staff was having, but we left very disappointed, frustrated and hungry! Our initial waitress appeared to be inexperienced and/or uncomfortable speaking English. The appetizers were delicious, so I’ve given them high marks for food just based on that course. (They didn’t reach our table until 8:43 and part of that delay was due to the long wait for a waitress to take our order. I also had to ask someone to check on my glass of wine, which it turns out they were out of, but our waitress wasn’t the one who informed me. A third employee was the one who offered a Cabernet Sauvignon in lieu of the Malbec. At the end of the night, she was the one who appeared in response to my request for an assistant manager. She apologized for the hectic night the entire staff was having, which was supposedly due to too many bookings and a shortage of staff. She also removed the charges for the wine, but after sitting for 2 hours, we had informed the initial waitress that we weren’t willing to wait any longer. She had not kept us informed at all and at 10:00, our food was supposedly going to be “ready in 2 minutes.” We didn’t wait to see if that was true and ended our evening (and stay in Faroe Islands) on a very disappointing note. My “Atmosphere” rating would have been higher if not for the hectic nature throughout the restaurant including near the front door close to the open kitchen, where food seemed a bit too out in the open; the lax nature of some staff who were sometimes multitasking as waitresses and dishwasher handlers, yet chatting with each other rather than checking on customers. It was a very disappointing evening for us all on a night we were trying to celebrate a birthday.

Irish pub
Located in Torshavn, the Irish Pub is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The pub offers a variety of food and drink options, with the fish and chips being highly recommended by many visitors. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are known for their friendly service. In addition to the food, the pub also has a great selection of beers to choose from.
Visited May 2025. We stopped in here 3 times during our trip. Always was busy during dinner service. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our favorite was the manager doling out sarcasm to everyone. We sat at the bar just to hear him talk to everyone. Had some good laughs. Order your food and drink at the bar and pay. They will give you a pager to pick up your food at the bar when it is ready. It is a full bar with cold drinks and delicious fish & chips.
Josh H — Google review
Decent Irish pub but they were out of Guinness when we were there. (I didn't know that was possible!). The fish and chips were decent and the atmosphere was nice. I recommend it.
Aaron K — Google review
Great place for a casual dinner with good harbor views. The fish and chips were excellent and the Black Sheep paired nicely. You order at the bar then grab a table. If there is no one at the bar you can ring the bell and someone will be right out to take your order.
Matthew N — Google review
The food here was ok. The beef burger was pretty good for outside the US but a bit too much of the sauce. And forget it if you want ketchup. The salmon burger, on the other hand, was barely a 3; overcooked salmon on a bed of chopped iceberg lettuce. Service is non-existent. You order and pay at the bar to an unfriendly staff (surprisingly unfriendly for the Faroe Islanders we’ve met this trip.) The American music being played was too loud.
D — Google review
Came in for dinner one night and ordered the fish and chips… it was fantastic!!!! The fish was so crispy and I loved the breading! Far exceed my expectations! The gentleman working the bar seemed a little flustered but he did great. I think that’s not his normal position since he didn’t know some of the drinks on the menu and mentioned a lot of people were out of town for a music festival. Overall highly recommend!
Christina P — Google review
Food (Fish and Chips) was great. Slow service, simply not enough staff on. Food got quite cold waiting for second pint... Tables not cleared nearly quickly enough so not enough tables to go around... Really need 2 staff out front...
Bruce C — Google review
Nice cozy restaurant with great fish and chips. Seating can be limited but a spot will usually open up. You stand in line to order then sit down. Would visit again for the fish and chips!
Emma Y — Google review
It is a popular pub with a full bar. Food is good but it is pub grub- Fish and Chips, Nachos etc.. They give a lot which is good. Service is professional, not necessarily warm and chatty. You have to get used to ordering at the counter as against at the table. But comes well recommended locally.

OY Brewing is a vibrant brewery that offers an enjoyable experience for both beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Nestled in a spacious hall, it boasts a menu filled with delicious options, including tender beef short ribs and adventurous local dishes like salted fish with mash. The atmosphere is lively, complemented by good music and friendly staff who are eager to share their passion for craft brewing. Although the brewery's location may be slightly off the beaten path in an industrial area, it's well worth the visit.
It was so much fun to visit this brewery! They did have lots of beer options, but some were out of stock at the time. We enjoyed the food and all the beers. I think the venue is what makes it so great though. Be on the lookout for live music on the weekends!
Maia H — Google review
A bit further from the city center but still walking distance, this brewery has a nice selection of beers and nice burgers and is very spacious. I do recommend the bacalao croquettes if you want to get some fish. Their atmosphere with the brewing machinery on display makes it different from any other pub. They also have concerts some times that you have to pay a ticket if you want to stay down for it.
Ana M — Google review
Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere with live music and tastefully done decor. The beer was very fresh and flavorful. We didn’t order much from the mostly fried food menu, but overall, it’s a really nice setup and we’d be happy to come back.
Roman K — Google review
This is the most chill and best-value restaurant I've encountered so far in the Faroe Islands - and they even include fries 🍟 with lunch!😃 🐟Fried Fish and Chips Only 135 DKK, which is much more affordable than Cap Horn. The fish here is done in tempura style - lightly coated in flour and deep-fried, but the fish inside is steamed through high heat rather than fully fried. This method preserves the natural flavor and freshness of the fish, and the fillets separate like garlic cloves - so fresh it practically screams it! If you like bold flavors, you might want to pair it with one of their sauces. The restaurant offers BBQ sauce, mayo, and a local specialty butter sauce - the same one I had previously at Café Pollastova. So it turns out that sauce isn't exclusive or homemade; you can probably find it in local supermarkets. The arugula in the butter sauce adds a touch of bitterness to cut through the richness of the fried dish, while enhancing the meat’s aroma. A perfect balance of flavors. This place is also famous for its beer, and the entire restaurant is decorated in a cool, industrial brewery style. Even the bathroom mirrors look like beer barrels! The oystercatcher and puffin clinking glasses on the front door is absolutely adorable. Overall, this is the best-value dining experience I’ve had in the Faroes - delicious food, great atmosphere, and competitive prices! Highly recommended❗️
LongEr — Google review
Good spot for food and tasty beer, however be careful when ordering unlike myself. The server twice insisted on giving me three fish along with a burger each time I asked for two, I just thought he was being generous, I also somehow paid for three chips instead of the one I asked for, a bizarre experience as there were clearly two of us customers and I was clear in what I asked for, twice. Being one of the most expensive countries in the world, I paid a hefty price for my mistake.
Jordan C — Google review
Just outside Tórshavn’s center, OY is well worth a visit. We came for a late lunch and had the place to ourselves. As a brewery, you order food at the bar with your beer — we tried the mixed plate and it was excellent: perfectly cooked meat, great flavors, and a portion big enough for two. At 250 DKK, it’s one of the best-value meals in town. Bonus: their pink non-alcoholic beer is our favorite, also sold in Faroese supermarkets!
Lifeguin — Google review
Great beer, wonderful food - can’t go wrong. We hiked up from the city to get a few steps in, had lunch, and visited the National Art Museum on way back. The beer - think we have tried most of the brews on our visit to the islands - is very enjoyable. Fun to see and have a pint in the place it is made. If brewing smells are not your favorite, there are outside picnic tables. Special shoutout to the little takeaway place at the brewery. The kimchi chicken sandwich and fries (curry flavored?) were an unexpected surprise. Super juicy chicken well-balanced with the toppings. Note - very messy, but worth the multiple napkins and mandatory hand wash. Recommend to all beer lovers and foodies.
Patti G — Google review
I stopped in since I was looking for a quick bite to eat close to my hotel. I had the chicken kimchi burger and a beer. Both were good! Only downside was it was so saucy that my bottom bun got soggy rather quickly. Had a nice kick that I enjoyed. I thought it a bit odd that you had to pay for beer and food in separate locations

Ástaklokkan is a charming café nestled in the heart of Torshavn, surrounded by picturesque grass-roof houses. The name translates to Love Clock Cafe and it offers a cozy atmosphere with a touch of history. The menu features predominantly Faroese and European cuisine, showcasing locally sourced fresh produce. The café's historic building has been lovingly restored, retaining its quirky charm with indoor plants growing out of old stone walls.
Cute and cozy place with friendly staff who patiently translated the entire menu from Faroese to English for us. The food was good, but I especially loved the rhubarb jam. We also had the lemon cake (not pictured) which was delicious! I’m not a huge fan of lemon but this was very well balanced.

Visited this place early for breakfast before I headed for my day tour. Its one of the very few places open for breakfast in Tórshavn. It opens quite early and when I was there, there was only another couple having breakfast there. Its a very small place which is a few minutes walk from the bus/ferry terminal, near the famous Michelin restaurants. I entered and was welcomed by the owner of the shop. He showed me a menu which was only available in Faroese and apologized for it and told me to try using Google translate to try and understand the items on the menu with the free wifi available. I selected the waffle with raspberry jam, an egg and a cup of tea. The preparation time taken was a bit longer than expected as it was a one man show and there were other customers as well and also took some time to prepare the waffles as it was freshly made to order. Took some time for the food to come but was delighted when it came and the presentation looked good. First had the waffles and was surprised there was this yogurt like cream on top of the waffles. Tasted like yogurt but was milder and complemented the waffles with the raspberry jam. The waffles was quite crispy too. Then had the egg. I ordered the eggs not knowing whether it would be 1 or 2 eggs, whether it's scrambled or boiled and it turned out to be an egg served the boiled style. I also didn't know how cooked it would be but it turned out to be pretty well cooked for the egg white but the lava semi cooked egg yolk which was a pleasant surprise for me. The egg tasted so good it didn't need any seasoning could just have it plain on its own. Tasted very organic like it was fresh from the farm and the chicken had just laid it. The tea was also pretty good to complete the entire meal and I enjoyed having here a lot. Would have loved to visit again but didn't have the chance to as I wanted to explore more places to try. I have to say this place has to be the cheapest place I ate in the whole of Faroe islands. I recommend visiting this place if you happen to be in Tórshavn.

Finally finally good coffee. No coffee art but good coffee and surprise my great food. Even the egg was nicely cooked with its yolk flowy not by machine. It’s a one man show that does a great job with his food. Even the place is quaint. The sort with character. A must visit Space inside is limited

Great cafe and breakfast here at Astaklokkan. Located in a historic building, it's cosy, warm and yet unique. Tried many of the breakfast menu items which turned out to be great! The waffle is the one item that really stood out above the rest. Do try it!

I was visiting for a few days and staying at a hotel nearby and this lovely cafe was a life line, opening at 7am on the weekdays which I found to be uncommon. I needed to find a place open early to eat before my trip excursions and ate here twice. It is cozy, friendly and food is simple and delicious. Coffee is on point.
Regina W — Google review
Such a nice and cozy place. We had a very nice cafe latte with cake and pancake. Very friendly service. Don't miss out on it when you're in Tórshavn.
Giovanni B — Google review
I really wanted to like this place given the glowing reviews. I came in to get a bite, given it was around 3:30 PM. I asked to see the menu but he said there were not any, all being used. He asked me if I wanted to have lunch. Not seeing the menu I said well I don’t know, what are you offering. He started off citing pasta, or soup. I immediately said soup as I figured it will warm and quick on a rainy day. Meanwhile other groups came in. 25 mn later no soup! I then realized the big group had been served sandwiches and I’m still waiting. So I went up to ask. He said it should come out. Almost 30 mn later the brothy meatless soup came that did taste decent but not amazing. When I went to pay I couldn’t believe this bowl of soup with zucchini and a few beans set me back 145Kr or 20€! I left a bit taken for a ride altogether.

Nestled in the charming city of Torshavn, Glitnir is a must-visit destination for sports enthusiasts and social butterflies alike. This vibrant sports bar offers modern facilities for various sporting activities, making it an ideal spot to catch local matches or engage in some friendly competition. With a fantastic selection of beers, including local Faroese brews like Gull, Glitnir caters to diverse tastes while maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive staff enhance the experience further.
I’m struggling to find faults in Glitnir in Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands. As a sports bar, Glitnir succeeds at being that with plenty of beer to choose from to suit different preferences, including a good selection of local, Faroese beer such as Gull. The place is also relatively clean and the staff at Glitnir are attentive. There’s also the added bonus of the bar being close to the waterfront and a good spot for a break if walking around in the area. In summary, Glitnir is a good bar in Tórshavn!

What a great find and place to be in Torshavn. Friendly staff and the locals were welcoming and lots of fun. Good beer selection, and what a perfect place to duck out of nasty weather. Can't wait to make it back. Cheers!
Chuck D — Google review
Rudely demanded I throw away my reusable water bottle or leave. Would not allow me to pour it out. I need water constantly due to a medical condition, so I guess I will never be able to spend time in this bar.
Thomas S — Google review
We ended up here because a lot of the fancier places were booked, and this was cheaper. I got the Irish burger, which came drowning with hamburger sauce. It might have been a decent hamburger otherwise. The fries were also tasteless. My husband got the nachos, which were strange. Both of us are feeling gross the day after. I really wanted to like this place, but I’d stick to the drinks here.
Sarah M — Google review
Manchester United fans will be happy here since you can watch their games (and probably other Premier League games, too) here. Decent selection of local draught beers and cider. Bartender was kinda bored though. You can sit outside and enjoy the view over the western harbour. On my second visit the pub was fairly crowded with locals playing cards. Bartender was nice. Try Slupp beer. It's cheaper here than in the other pubs in Tórshavn.

Absolutely Stunning experience - Great prices, lovely people and also great music (when Young groups are there). Felt Welcome the second we went Inside and would everyone recommend to visit it - thanks Torsholl for having us, keep up your work🍺🙏

You will definitely meet the locals here. The thirsty ones. The bar got a lot of local beers, both on tap and cans/bottles, and the prices are on the lower side.

Nestled in the heart of Torshavn, Landskrona Sports Bar is a vibrant destination that perfectly blends the excitement of sports with delicious food and refreshing drinks. This cozy spot is renowned for its mouthwatering burgers and tantalizing snack baskets, complemented by standout jalapeno and blue cheese dips that keep patrons coming back for more. The atmosphere buzzes with energy, especially during their popular pub quiz nights, where friendly bartenders create an inviting environment.
Cozy place. They have great tasting burgers, snack baskets and their jalapeno/blue cheese dips are excellent! Been going to their pub quiz for some time, and I love it! They also have some of the most friendly bartenders I know of :)

Landskrona in the Faroe Islands was OK. There are other bars in Tórshavn with a bit more character and atmosphere but as a bar, Landskrona does the trick. It does have a decent selection of local beer, good bar staff and pool tables though. One other plus to point out is their fast WiFi, which was really appreciated at the time. Overall, Landskrona is still a decent bar in central Tórshavn that worth a short stop.

Nestled on the first floor of Sirkus, Bjórkovin, the Beer Hub, may not catch your eye from the outside, but step inside and you'll be greeted by a warm ambiance filled with soft lighting and soothing background music. This cozy bar boasts an impressive selection of craft beers primarily sourced from the renowned Icelandic brewery Borg, alongside some local offerings from OY. The menu is ever-evolving, ensuring there's something for every palate—from refreshing lagers to rich stouts.
This place serves a lovely range of craft beers and other alcoholic beverages, with a special focus on the fantastic Icelandic microbrewery, Borg. The drinks menu is constantly changing and the atmosphere is laid-back and cozy. Would recommend!
Rumps B — Google review
nice place, bored staff.... and the beer didn't taste OK (I had the same beer earlier and there was something wrong with this)
Jan B — Google review
Small bar on 1st floor of Sirkus. Good selection of craft beers. Taps appeared to be exclusively from the Icelandic brewery Borg, and included everything from lagers, sours, and high-ABV viscous stouts. Something for everyone. Also has a selection of bottles from various local and world breweries. Prices are high, which is typical for Faroes, but not outlandish.
