Cachapas Tío Pilón, C.A. is a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic taste of Venezuela. During my travels to Barcelona in Venezuela, I had the delightful opportunity to learn how to make Polvorosas, a traditional Venezuelan treat. This charming town is not only known for its stunning beaches and picturesque landscapes but also for its vibrant street life. As I strolled through the streets, I was greeted by friendly locals and encountered numerous vendors offering delicious local dishes, including these irresistible Polvorosas. The experience of cooking this sweet delicacy while soaking in the culture made it truly unforgettable!

Barako is a top grill restaurant in Caracas, offering various spaces for intimate or casual dining. The menu features a specialty in meats and a wide variety of appetizers, desserts, and wines. Some standout dishes include Bite Angus, Ceviche, and Rack de costillas. Sides like Platano con queso and mandocas are highly recommended.
Great experience! The food was great and prices were reasonable for the place. Service was swift and the environment was nice. 10/10

It's nice, with excellent grill options and Venezuelan food. The prices are reasonable, the location is good, and there is valet parking.
Iddar L — Google review
Pura mentira. -1 When serving carpaccio asking if I want olive oil and serving cheap oil instead with the terrible taste, which is NOT olive. I saw this trick in other restaurants in Caracas and I did not expect that from Barako, as it is considered to be an expensive restaurant -1
Nataliya G — Google review
Good restaurant to eat grill meat, salads and typical venezuelan sides as yuca, plátano, buñuelo, etc . good relation price/quality
Gonzalo R — Google review

Food is very well prepared, the place is nice and well decorated but the waiter that served us was not polite at all. Maybe a good training of the waiters can improve service. Despite the rude waiter it is worth going and enjoy meal.

Great food, good service. Very fine steak house. Try the "Espetadas". Cool grilled beef served with a corn meal based side. The baby pork ribs are incredible.
Arturo F — Google review
Sides are the best of the menu. The attention is very good and high class. The meat are all the same independent of the type you ask for. Plátano con queso and mandocas are at the top of the sides of this restaurant. Good for big groups!

Amelie Café is a charming little spot that captures the essence of French café culture, making it an ideal destination for coffee lovers and dessert enthusiasts alike. Nestled near Altamira Square in Caracas, this cozy establishment invites you to indulge in their signature drink, the Bombom Amelie—a delightful blend of espresso, chocolate syrup, condensed milk, and a hint of lemon zest. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a romantic date while savoring delicious pastries and cakes.
Really loved it. The desserts are great
Noelie S — Google review
The venue is quite charming, almost like a French cafe in Paris... their coffee is good and tasty, I love their cups. they offer a variety of delicious cakes. my only problem is that I enjoy visiting to have a nice afternoon with a friend and the volume of conversation around us is too loud that we need to shout and the whole chic atmosphere is lost. Asit is a closed area, there's no way to mitigate the boisterous voices as if it were an open cafe. The only time we had managed to have a nice chat was when they were filming the scene of a soap opera there and people had to be really quiet. Also the venue is quite pricey.
Alejandra L — Google review
I was there with my Wife and Grandfather on Tuesday Afternoon. I paid with 30$ bill, the total amount was in Bs 703,69, so the cashier told me is going to make a PAGO MIOVIL, and sitll waiting for that. It was tho most terrible experience of my Life....!!!!
Cesar T — Google review
Great place, coffee are really good!
Rafael C — Google review
Amazing place for hanging out with a friend or a date even 😉 and drinking some amazing coffees or eating tasty deserts. The prices are a bit high for the things mentioned above but if you can afford them, they're worth.
Jose H — Google review
Is cozy coffee shop close to Altamira Square in Caracas city... The coffee is great ... But the best are the cakes and pastry the sell there... A relaxed place to take a break and talk with a friend
Angel D — Google review
Good coffee and lemon pound cake, the place is nice and quiet to chat but it takes a while to serve, they offer other stuff to eat and nice cakes
Luis T — Google review
Cozy, with a decor heavy in evocative details of its film namesake. Their take on pastry and dessert classics is good (their Charlotte is particularly refreshing). It's artisanal charm and hipstery-eclectic look make up for the rest. It is not as mass produced as Franca or Danubio, so there's a premium for its upscale setting. Parking on the street, or at private parking lots at walking distance.

Best donuts you can have in the city. Always fresh and lots of great flavors. The only downside is supplies are limited and depending on the time of day the place can get really crowded and some of the flavors run out fast!

Best donuts in town, mostly filled-style although they also sell conventional style donuts too. My favorites are Nutella filled and choco-peanut filled. While some find the concept of separate cuisines confusing and the pricing slightly high, others praise the great food quality and diverse offerings. The venue has become a safe and inviting destination with increased safety measures in place.
GREAT PLACE! The only thing better than the food is the atmosphere! Great decore, well stocked bars, several culinary options, and live entertainment. What else do you need? Definitely one of the best places in Caracas and can compete at a worldclass level.

I felt at home. MoDo was a pleasant surprise… after 6 years away from my city Caracas, coming back to this was just great. I visited this restaurant in December, and my experience was very positive. The food was good, especially the premium tequeños because of their abundant filling and the delicious sweet papelon sauce that accompanied them. The pizzas were also very good, with fresh ingredients and tasty dough. The best part, without a doubt, were the astonishing views of the city, where you can cover 270° and capture almost every glimpse of Caracas. I definitely recommend this place. It certainly is something different to try in the city

It was a very bad experience there, we had to wait for more than 50 minutes to eat, we order some hamburgers and they were really expensive and not any good. The waiter was trying to help but something is not working well in the kitchen, I felt really bad, discriminated. They didn't even excuse themselves for the bad service. The only good thing over there was the view, it is really amazing but it is not worth the experience. I am very disappointed. My family was very exciting to go there.

(Translated by Google) The products they offer look fresh, I say this because on the occasion I went, I did not consume solid foods. (Translated by Google) The star of the place is without a doubt the view, the atmosphere is beautiful and the space is large. Now, in terms of the menu (Available only on Instagram) not physically, high prices, practically on par with a restaurant, we ordered two coffees and both were cold and nothing memorable, not to mention that we expected the cup to be large for the price (4 and 5 USD), for dessert a brownie/cookie that was also cold. The attention was standard. You pay for the view and yet there is no price-quality relationship that is worth it. (Translated by Google) The food leaves much to be desired for the place. (The pizzas are frozen, with very poor flavor and quality.) The wine is good, not excellent, the service is good (in keeping with the location), and the best of all is the view, which is its special attraction. It's perfect for sharing an afternoon with a coffee or a few drinks, but never for eating there. I hope they take this into account, as it's a shame to have such a well-located place with such a poor and bad menu. Cachito is a delightful Venezuelan pastry that captures the essence of comfort food. Typically crafted from a blend of wheat flour, butter, milk, and eggs, these treats boast a crispy exterior while remaining fluffy on the inside. Each Cachito is generously filled with savory ingredients like cheese and ham before being baked to golden perfection. With an array of flavors available—up to six different options—you can enjoy them alongside your coffee sweetened with Splenda for that perfect breakfast experience.
Delicious cachitos and great espresso. A bit pricey.

(Translated by Google) A delicious and convenient experience! I decided to try their delivery service and was pleasantly surprised. The service was fast and the delivery of my order arrived in record time. I ordered a tasting box, each piece costs $3.5. The desserts were truly wonderful! The little pieces were also spectacular, I really recommend them. My only observation is regarding the size of the pieces. I saw a photo on their Instagram that showed a larger size and I must admit I was a little disappointed to see them in person. I understand that sometimes photos can lead to different expectations, but it would be great if you could adjust the image to better reflect the actual size of the product. (Original) ¡Una experiencia deliciosa y conveniente!

La Flor de Altamira is a popular pastry shop and breakfast spot in the city, known for its delicious sweets and baked goods. The bakery offers a variety of treats, including red velvet cakes, fruit-filled pastries, and cachitos. Customers appreciate the fresh quality of the products and the attentive service from the staff. While some find the prices to be on the higher end, many enjoy the well-furnished and clean environment of the bakery.
Panadería La Flor de Altamira" sounds like a staple in Caracas! Let's see what we can whip up here: "Nestled in the bustling heart of Altamira, Panadería La Flor is a culinary haven of delightfully baked goods. From flaky, buttery cachitos to savory pizzas and sandwiches, this bakery offers an eclectic mix of flavors and textures. And the cakes? Divine! Whether you're stopping by for a quick breakfast treat or indulging in a leisurely lunch, Panadería La Flor delivers on all fronts. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience Caracas's vibrant food scene! My all time favorite is cachito de Mortadela, you must try it !
Andres N — Google review
La Flor de Altamira has a charming atmosphere with its **decorative plants** and a **water fountain** on the wall featuring their logo. The fake plants look surprisingly nice and create a great backdrop for taking cool pictures. However, the experience has some drawbacks that could be improved. The café feels **overpriced**, likely due to its location near Clínica El Ávila. The ordering process is a bit unusual: you have to **pay first**, then collect your order yourself and bring it to your table. Coffee and sweets are served in **cardboard cups and boxes**, which I assume is to avoid washing dishes, but it takes away from the experience of dining in a proper café. Another issue is the **staff**. While there are many employees, they seem more focused on their phones than attending to customers. It would be much better if they offered **table service** for those dining in, as it would make the experience more enjoyable. The current system might work for takeaway orders, but it feels lacking for those who want to sit and relax. In summary, La Flor de Altamira has potential with its nice ambiance and photo-worthy decor, but improvements in service and the dining experience would make it much better.

They offer a nice variety of flavors and combinations, some of them are exquisite. The staff is very kind and will offer you a bit of every flavor so you can make up your mind about what to order, and have no regrets. The Pie de Limón ice cream was my favorite, and will definitely be back to try the spicy chocolate one. The cheesecake cookies are ok, but the ice cream is a better choice.

Best ICE CREAM in Caracas!!!! Must try: olive oil, pain Au chocolate and strawberry ❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you're looking for creative flavors, this is the place. Very well done ice creams, creamy and other textures include . Some are very disruptive like "Olive, Bread and chocolate" or the sorbets"Orange and Ginger ".

It is located inside a shopping center where they do not charge for parking. Regarding the prices, they are well above average but it is worth treating yourself. The attention of the girls at the counter is excellent. Good home made ice cream it reminded me the past since it is located in a old house in an old neighborhood, just a little store and some tables to eat on the front of the house nothing fancy but cozy and quiet to chat, they have a good selection of flavors and the attention is good, it is kind of hidden on the old streets of chuao

(Translated by Google) I don't know what's happening but the quesillo and black cake had a sandy texture that was unpleasant to the palate. I had tried the quesillo on other occasions and the mixture was very homogeneous. It was so unpleasant that I couldn't eat it and I left them in the coffee glass and look, I love Gelatos but this time the experience was very unpleasant. The cookie from the basket is very delicious as always (Original) No sé qué sucede pero el de quesillo y torta negra tenían una textura arenosa y desagradable al paladar..

(Translated by Google) Good and friendly service, the flavors offered are traditional with the exception of pistachio and choconut. The only portion of the cone is generous, however, I did not feel compensated in the price-value ratio. The flavor of the option I chose did not meet my expectations. The place is clean, at the time of my visit it was not very busy. It is located within an urbanization and does not have parking as such. It is inevitable to compare it with other places. I think it can improve!

(Translated by Google) I went to eat a sugar-free ice cream, it didn't describe on its page that it was a sorbet type and it had an already established price. When I arrived at the store they told me that they only have a sorbet-type presentation and in a sealed container, which cost $2 more than what was described on their Instagram. Accepting that, when trying the ice cream (coconut), it just had no flavour, I would describe it as shaved ice with coconut zest, nothing more. For the cost (regardless of whether it had been more or less economical), terrible experience. I don't doubt that their sugar ice creams are very good, but in these, they failed terribly.
