Shopping mall
The Central Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco is a large, busy shopping mall located east of Las Mercedes in the suburb of Chuao. It features a variety of retail shops selling clothing and home goods, fast-food restaurants, cafes and a grocery store. The cinemas upstairs are popular with crowds, and there are new food options available at burger joints recommended by the staff. The security is good, and parking is easy. It's one of the best malls in Caracas.
Very nice as always even is a very old mall most of the stores are open and they have very good new options for food burguers are recommend!!!

Beautiful and recently renovated mall located in the affluent Chacao and Baruta neighborhoods. Great variety of upscale shops and wide selection of restaurants, bars and fast food. Parking space is huge and surveillance cameras everywhere. Safe dureing the day and night.

Excellent hotel with impeccable service, comfortable rooms, and a cozy atmosphere. Perfect location and top-notch attention. Ideal for an unforgettable stay.

I love this mall, it has stood the test of time, lots of new stores, good maintenance, lots of good places to eat, lots of cultural events
Alejandra T — Google review
Terribly dark and ugly. Positive is the space inside
Jorge H — Google review
Although I couldn't find what I was looking for. It was fun to walk again for this stores.
El A — Google review
The structure is old and outdated, but the place was clean and has nice stores. One thing, I couldn't find a map of the mall. The stairs where hard to find and not enough signage to tell you what level you are. Also, not safe after dark. Just use your common sense.
Sorelis D — Google review
Nice, big mall with lots of stores, food court, banks, pharmacies and a supermarket. They usually have events too. There are also business offices and a hotel. Large parking lot which can be a pain to remember where you parked.

Trasnocho Cultural, situated in Paseo Las Mercedes shopping center, provides a diverse range of artistic and cultural activities for individuals of all ages. Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of experiences such as four cinema halls, browsing for unique books at El Buscon Libreria bookstore, attending theatrical performances, and more. Soma Cafe serves delicious homemade Venezuelan cuisine while Kakao chocolate shop and factory satisfies sweet cravings.
A great place to enjoy plays, cinema, exhibitions, musical events and something else
Alejandra T — Google review
Good as always but not too much people on a Thursday which it is sad, the candy store is not working and the book shop closes early same as the expositions that looked interesting, good restaurants still open but not much people so I assume not cheap, the cinema is cheaper than the big franchises but not so modern. The place have a lot of potential I wish recover the older days where thera was a lot of activity

Great Place to see theater and Movies but also to eat
Alejandro R — Google review
There's a lot of variety of places to eat, buy clothes, to hang around and a tiny park for children. They have a movie theater that sometimes offers movie festivals, they have two theater rooms and they also have an art gallery. I love to come here!

Shopping mall
C. C. Paseo Las Mercedes is a charming midsize mall nestled in the upscale Las Mercedes neighborhood, offering visitors a delightful throwback to the vibrant ambiance of 60s malls in Caracas. This shopping haven features contemporary movie theaters that have been beautifully renovated, making it an ideal spot for film enthusiasts. On weekends, you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere filled with music lounges and exquisite restaurants perfect for a night out.
Always useful to share an afternoon and night... Great theater and optional shopping!
Sergio H — Google review
Used to be a pretty nice shopping mall to go, but it's mostly empty now a days. The only good thing going for it was a Mexican Restaurant they had, closed down a few years back. Probably the best Mexican food I've ever eaten :(
Cris — Google review
Best midsize mall in upscale Las Mercedes neighborhood. Visit it if you want to experience the ambiance of the 60s malls in Caracas. The movies theaters are contemporary and were tastefully renovated. You can also find music lounges and very nice restaurants during weekend nights. A couple of premium coffee shops and chocolatiers are worth visiting if you want to taste the best Venezuelan chocolates made in-situ. Overall, this is a nice and safe mall with a mix of modernity and 60’s atmosphere located in a safe and upscale Caracas neighborhood, quite different from the more contemporary malls found nearby. Plenty of paid parking space inside the mall.
A. M — Google review
A great chocolate shop is found here, otherwise not worth the trip.

We went to Trasnocho Cultural to see a play of the 3rd American Contemporary Theater Festival. It was an epic performance. The function was sold out. Trasnocho Cultural is a great place to see good theater and curated movies.

Shopping mall
El Recreo Shopping Mall is a vibrant, multi-level lifestyle destination that offers an eclectic mix of shops, dining options in its food court, office spaces, and residential areas. While it has seen a decline in weekday visitors compared to its bustling past, it remains a favorite among local residents. The mall features the Luvebras supermarket, which provides a diverse selection of products including meats and dairy items.
The shopping mall has great potential. There are a lot of things that can be done. The tenant mix needs some improvement. Still good.
Vicente Q — Google review

Marco B — Google review
This shopping center has made a turn around in many aspects offering the customers a great array of different stores with top quality products. It as well offers a good internal parking lot
Danny H — Google review
Interesting place. The open Food Court is not ideal... You may be harassed by hungry beggars.
Lothar M — Google review
Still looks good and lot of stores open, the parking lot is a little messy but excellent place to park and go to sabana grande
Luis T — Google review
The place lacks restrooms; most of the time restrooms are closed. If we all were robots, we would not need restrooms. On this mall if you need to take a dump, you gonna have to go to an alley, —sort of speak. This mall is not opened for humans; take your precautions if you plan to eat on this location. A little plastic bag and some toilet paper will help a lot. (The little bag everybody carries around for the purpose of dog-walking will work just fine.)
LEONARDO G — Google review
The mall was ok. Stores are high priced, the food court is limited, kfc has all the deals. Lines to use the washroom, spacious though

(Translated by Google) "BEWARE of the food you order to take away" 😡 I had the opportunity to go a long time ago and it was my only and last time. I went with my wife and we brought a grill, we ordered too much and we ordered the rest to take away. There was plenty of meat or protein left over and to my surprise when I got home they had left me only the fried potato and most of the protein was stolen. That in bad taste and impotence I never had the opportunity to visit the site again and complain in person, that is why I vent here. Very unpleasant. I tried so hard to go to a more expensive or luxurious place to eat and it turns out that they are abusers. I have already found better and more delicious restaurants and in humble areas at better prices. With better treatment and not so starving.

(Translated by Google) The restaurant was practically empty today, Friday afternoon, with few or no chicken options to eat, so I had to order meat. The portion of bread was scrawny and not at all appetizing. I ordered a mushroom tenderloin and mash, everything was tasteless and greasy sauce didn't seem fresh. The portion of tostones more or less. It is a shame how the quality of the food that was previously excellent was lost, it is possible that due to the location in the CC the recess is no longer as busy, to that is added the poor quality of the food for a high price. The only good thing was the attention, the inns do their best to keep the restaurant going. I'm sorry but I wouldn't go again.

It has been a while since I went to a public restroom and I didn't feel disgusted. It was pleasantly surprising to experience that level of care and cleanliness in a public restroom, I could pay more for the parking if they keep up doing that. The animals look good, they're renewing the birds section, there's a nice bicycle-skate area. I saw fewer vultures than last time, which was good because those were dirty and scary, in general it looks like money is finally being put in the right places in the park. All the pictures have my kids in them, next time I'll try to remember to get some landscape shots.

My favorite thing about Caracas it’s definitely the Avila, it’s actual name it’s Guaraira Repano. You can do many things nature walks, go to the rivers, get to the top and eat there’s even one of the best hotels called the Humboldt, you can even go ice skating on the top of the Avila. It’s definitely a visit you need to make

Galipan and the views are amazing. It's actually cheaper than in Ccs Julio out driver was great and showed us some gems in there. Teleférico wasn't working but it is to open in November

The Arabica cafe is a popular spot in Caracas for grabbing a cup of coffee or some snack. It has a lovely terrace with great street views and friendly staff. The cafe's specialty is house-roasted beans, which are available in plenty at this well-known establishment.
Best coffee in Caracas, period. Amazing large empanadas. Miss this place
Giorgio R — Google review
Great place if you want to drink a coffee. Also they offer breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Cesar H — Google review
The place is okay in terms of location and service. Plenty of desserts to choose from on the menu, although you may find that some items aren't available quite often. The main attraction would be the coffee grinding and brewing at plain sight, as well as all the exotic options of coffees by country of origin and "barista infusions". There is a little shelf with a variety of books to pick and read from for free (you can even take them home, with a read-return-donate policy). Recommended for a coffee run or a quick sweet tooth bite.
Luis A — Google review
Service is always slow and have yet to really try the wonders of their coffee as it tends to arrive cold by the time they remember to bring us our order. Now that the rainy season started, mosquitos abound. I truly don't recommend this venue at all. Went once for lunch, took over an hour for our meal to arrive and the chicken was undercooked. Perhaps it has been only for us, but it has surely put me off from trying again.

If you're exploring Caracas and wondering where to indulge in delicious local cuisine, "El Budare de la Castellana" is a must-visit spot. This vibrant eatery offers an array of traditional Venezuelan dishes, with a special focus on arepas and cachapas. Arepas, which are corn patties filled with various tasty ingredients like pulled pork or vegetarian beans, can be customized with delightful additions such as fried eggs or plantains—definitely a crowd favorite!
I've been loving the 5000 Burnet food court and this is one truck that I keep coming back to. For the uninitiated, an arepa is a corn patty, in this case opened up and stuffed with goodies like a sandwich. There's several filling options, such as pulled pork or vegetarian beans, and you can add up to two additions like a fried egg, avocado, or plantains. I highly recommend the plantains. Also on the menu are cachapas. Cachapas are sweeter than arepas and stuffed with a salty Venezuelan cheese that contrasts well with the sweet corn. The traditional cachapa could work equally well as an appetizer or a dessert. Also on the menu are cheese rolls and desserts, but I haven't tried any of those yet. The woman who runs this cart is amazingly sweet and considerate. She really goes out of her way to make sure you like your food and that you don't have to spend too much time waiting outside. 5/5 on service.
Deborah C — Google review
The place is still looking decent since I went for last time a few years ago. The prices are really accessible and you can eat almost every Venezuelan meal there, from arepas to cachapas with a big variety of fills. Give it a try
Jose H — Google review
Food is good, we had to eat in the first floor with no A/C and lot of street noise which was very uncomfortable, the only way to tip the waiter is by cash which is almost impossible
Patrick B — Google review
Good Arepas in a kind of "safe" place in Caracas. Convenient for late eating.

Service is ok. They let homeless people in to ask for money while you eat. Not what you wanna see when eating

Arepa Factory Luna Llena is a delightful haven for fans of Venezuela's beloved street food, the arepa. These small, fried corn cakes are crafted from maize flour and come in two sizes: the hearty luna llena (full moon) and the petite luna slim. Guests can choose between maize or whole wheat flour for their base, making it easy to customize their meal.
They offer a wide variety of arepas, made with different types of flour. Their arepas are always thin and crunchy; a marvelous combination. Quite recommended if you have a craving for arepas, empanadas and Toddy

Restaurant
Menta & Romero is a rooftop restaurant located at the Altamira Village hotel in Caracas, offering a delightful dining experience with a refreshing climate and stunning city views. The menu features a variety of beverages and dishes suitable for couples, families, or friends. In the evenings, guests can enjoy the ambiance set by a DJ. Visitors praise the spectacular attention to detail and recommend making reservations in advance. The fusion of international cuisine served outdoors or in the lounge is particularly noteworthy.
It should be a sin to come here and not sit where you can see the view of the Avila. Amazing terrace where you can enjoy some of the best cocktails in town. Service was superb, the snacks we had with the drinks were awesome, and the view was sublime. A bit on the expensive side, but totally worth the experience.

incredible view of the Avila! drinks were OK but service was mediocre during my visit. The place was empty and had to beg servers for atention and service. Food was served cold. Would only go back for the view and with low expectations. Not a cheap place

(Translated by Google) Very good. Continuing in Caracas, the full moon and our appetite told us to look for a good terrace, so we went to @mentayromero on the 4th floor of the Altamira Village. The first course is an extraordinary view with the Avila in the background. The moon became somewhat elusive, but still, it radiated us with romance and joy. We started with a grilled octopus and a goat cheese with almonds, excellent; continuing with a very delicious pressed pork loin, which we accompany with a Malbec, culminating with a chocolate fondant. Not very supportive, although a pleasant experience. (Original) Muy bueno.
