Seafood restaurant
Octopussy's Seafood Tapas, located in Howth, Dublin, is a must-visit for seafood and Mediterranean cuisine enthusiasts. Owned by three experienced brothers with a background in fishing, the restaurant ensures fresh and expertly prepared seafood dishes. The establishment prides itself on offering tasty and affordable food, making it an ideal spot for lunch. With its fish supplied by a nearby seafood market operating fishing boats out of Howth, the quality of the seafood is top-notch.
One of the best places for try seafood in Dublin! Place is always crowded and you cannot book so get ready for waiting for a table. It’s a concept of tapas bar but you can order a separate dish as well, although I highly recommend ordering couple of tapas and share. We had amazing mussels, prawns, fish and more. Everything was tasty!

Had a good sea food experience. If you planning to go during weekends specially during summer and sunny days, try to go early or be prepared to wait in the queue. Also it will take additional time to serve your food during the busy time. Love the Mussels, and the soup. Prawns are average tasty. Portions are generous. Good service 👍
Anuranga D — Google review
Sitting outside here is an experience on its own fresh sea breeze, views of the boats, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. I tried a few dishes from the menu and honestly everything was delicious. Super fresh seafood, perfectly cooked, with just the right touch of seasoning. Highly recommend!
Ellie B — Google review
Had a great experience here. The freshest and best seafood I’ve had. Customer service was also a 10/10. They are very busy so expect to wait in a line for about 20-30 mins. They also do not take reservations. Worth the wait and I can’t wait to come back and try more.
Sunshine C — Google review
The most amazing seafood restaurant in not just Howth, but Ireland! Everything is very fresh and made to order. The service is fantastic and very accommodating. Only downside is that you might have to wait, but everything good is worth waiting for, right? Best seafood chowder I’ve ever had… every bowl is made fresh with all types of fish, shrimp, mussels, and squid. I loved every bite alongside their truly homemade brown bread. We also ordered the scallops in garlic butter which were melt in your mouth out of this world. My only regret is that we didn’t try more. Can’t wait to come back here next time I’m in Howth.

This place is AWESOME. Tiny dining area inside with some outside seating. The 4 of us were able to snag the little room off to the side. It was cozy with pillows and covered benches. Excellent dishes - fish & chips and teriyaki salmon. Service was quick, friendly, and personable. We will be coming back!

The food was amazing! The calamari was spectacular, and I absolutely loved the soup so flavorful. One of my favorite restaurants in Dublin! Highly recommend Octopussy in Howth. 🐙✨
Caio C — Google review
We went today and the food was nice and fresh. The place wasn't busy at all and the service was ok. Everything seemed to be fine until Brazilian girl bring us the bill. I was surprised when I seen that I have to pay more than I expected simply because I know what we ordered and I already have the total in my head(including the tips for waiter). Then i seen that in the end of the bill was added 10% service charge which was really unexpected. This is our second time in 2 weeks and even we are living 65 km away we still decided to come back again. No any sign or notice in the menu that something was changed since then(regarding service charge). To be honest this really turns me away. I think that the customers should decide leave tips or not simply because this is not some fancy restaurant where 10% service charge is truly understandable. I'm really sorry guys but we never back again and I make sure all my family and friends will know about that. I can't recommend this place to everyone visiting Howth...

The Bloody Stream is a charming pub located near the train station in Howth, Ireland. Its interior is filled with various knick-knacks and features a traditional turf-burning fireplace, creating a cozy atmosphere. In addition to its classic pub setting, it also offers a modern covered terrace with views of the seaside. This establishment provides an inviting space for visitors to enjoy both traditional and contemporary elements while savoring their dining experience.
Popped there for few drinks and some nibbles. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Weather was good we enjoyed sitting outside. Quick table service , good choice of food and drinks. Staff were able to advise about the menu. We had just starters and it was more than enough. Wet delicious seafood.

I first graced this fine establishment a few years ago, and let me tell you, the cuisine was nothing short of magnificent! The bar itself is positively radiant. This charming spot practically hums with good energy. An ideal haven for sharing delicious beer with friends, family, or anyone fortunate enough to be in your company.

Perfect spot after a chilly walk along the cliffs of Howth. The pub is warm and inviting, the staff kind and attentive, and the food was delicious!! Seafood was fresh. Mussels and oysters not to be missed. The veggie soup was delicious as well. This spot was recommended to me by a local, and it did not disappoint!!!
Keyana B — Google review
Elevated and really delicious food in a great restaurant! Especially loved the warmed goat cheese salad. There are a couple different spaces for different atmospheres in the restaurant - fireside room, bar area, live music room, outdoor covered seating with heaters... And more! Also happens to be conveniently located directly underneath the Howth Dart station so extremely easy to get to and from the restaurant. It's a popular location - I do recommend making a reservation for your visit in the evening if you visit for dinner/evening drinks. Will certainly return!

I got a cake for my sister's birthday, and the staff were so sweet. they brought out candles and even sang happy birthday! Super thankful for how thoughtful they were. Also, the oysters and seafood stew were seriously amazing!

Had a quick lunch there and enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. The food was great and prices were reasonable. This location offers non-seafood items which was the first rrason we selected them! I enjoyed the Beef Guinness Pie!
Sam F — Google review
I had the seafood platter. It was quite overpriced for what you get. The shrimps are miniature and not what I expected. The service was not that good. The waitress was sneaking using her phone and drinking her iced coffee while I was trying to get her attention. She didn't seem to want to be working.

Aqua Restaurant offers a refined dining experience with large windows providing stunning sea views and a cozy log fire. Located in Howth, overlooking the Portmarnock and Malahide coastlines, this restaurant is known for its fresh seafood, including lobster prepared in various sizes and cooking styles. Situated at the tip of Howth Harbours West Pier, diners can enjoy sweeping views of Dublin Bay while savoring dishes made with daily catches from local fishermen.
The food was amazing! Never had better seafood. Gorgeous view and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend. The staff and server was courteous and attentive (forgot our salads but we were plenty full!) We look forward to going again.

Came here for lunch, the service was great and the food was very nice too. We ordered the prawn and lobster linguine and fish and chips, both very palatable. I was worried about the stairs for those less able, but they have a stair lift, so very disabled friendly too!
Phai D — Google review
Easy to get to, it's the last restaurant as you walk towards the Pier. 5 stars all around for sure! We made a last minute reservation and we was seated right away. We ordered fish and chips and Tereiacki Salmon, both dishes were great. See photos of surrounding areas

This is so far, the best seafood I have had in Ireland. The view is spectacular and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered one dish from their Specials menu and it was definitely worth it. I forgot to take a photo but their Créme Brulee was absolutely gorgeous as well. I recommended this restaurant to all my friends and they all have nice things to say! Excited to go back!

Absolutely loved Aqua Restaurant in Howth! The views over the harbor are amazing. It feels like you’re dining right on the sea. My steak was cooked perfectly, and friends raved about the salmon. Excellent wine list, great service, and a warm, elegant vibe. Worth the short walk down West Pier easily one of the top meals I’ve had in Ireland. The Amore Life indeed!
Joshua D — Google review
Aqua offers a wonderful atmosphere and very flexible service. We were a large group — ten adults and a baby squeezed at a round window table for eight — and when we told them another three people were joining, they managed to rearrange everything in less than three minutes. Very impressive! The food overall was excellent, and the staff attentive. They kept the tables spotless, replaced our utensils each time we changed plates, and ensured water was always refilled without us even asking. Clean staff, clean setting — everything well presented. However, there are some points for improvement. When we asked to replace French fries with mashed or oven potatoes for the baby, we were told it was possible, but fries still arrived instead. Also, while the main dishes were great, the desserts were a real disappointment. The mango/coconut panna cotta (€11.50 each) was tasteless, dry, and gelatin-like — nothing creamy or delicate as a panna cotta should be. Honestly, I would not recommend anyone to order it. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent service and atmosphere, but the sweets need serious improvement. Skip the panna cotta!

Stopped in for lunch. Pretty view. Fantastic food! I had the seared scallops with saffron risotto. Maybe the best risotto I’ve ever had! The scallops were served with their roe intact. I’ve never seen them served that way. They were delicious!

Howth Market is a charming outdoor weekend market located in the seaside town of Howth. It offers a delightful array of locally made foods, organic produce, artisanal goods, and souvenirs. The market features over 25 stalls that come to life on weekends, attracting both locals and visitors. Conveniently situated near the DART station, it's an ideal spot for leisurely browsing before embarking on a cliff walk or visiting the pier.
Wow!!!!! What a fabulous place!!! Found numerous gifts for friends, the best Biscotti cupcakes (?) EVER... and the sheep's wool slippers I've been wishing for for years. Awesome artwork and unique gifts also...

Small market beside the harbour in Howth. Cute little shops and stalls, with artisan bakes and street food, coffee, cakes, ice cream and sugary delights. Some nice tourist souvenirs to pick up from your holiday, and then you have a whole range of pubs, cafes, seafood restaurants, wine bars, fish and chips, within a few minutes walk. Very close to Dart station. Mind those seagulls. They might steal your food if you blink 😉 Howth is always worth visiting!

A lovely spot to wander around on a weekend — full of character, friendly stall owners, and a great mix of local crafts, food, and small treats. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a stroll after the pier walk. Parking can be a bit busy on sunny days, but it’s well worth a visit if you’re in Howth!
Charlie J — Google review
Great little spot on the middle of Howth that offers quick street food bites, local crafts and jewelry, and fresh baked goods from local vendors. Nice spot to get a treat for kids or pick up something made by a local.
Kyle H — Google review
Travelled to Howth Market via bus then train from Dublin centre, was right near the train station. Between 4-6 Lovely street food stalls and a couple of jewellery stalls. Bought some chilli honey from a guy who specializes in local honey. A little underwhelming so knocked off a star but only because of how small the market was with a small amount of vendors. I also think if you have a jewelery store, you should have only one, so there's more variety.
Rebecca H — Google review
Plenty of options here! Good spot to get coffee or a cheeky sandwich or pastry before heading on a hike. Can't vouch for any of the shops that open later in the day.

The pub serves food all day, with a focus on delicious seafood. Whether you choose to sit on the terrace or by the window inside, you can enjoy people-watching and soak in the charming atmosphere.
Stopped by for a quick drink and ended up pleasantly surprised! I only ordered the mashed potato, but it was super tasty and perfectly made. Really enjoyed the Bulmers cider—refreshing and served just right. Special mention to the staff—they were incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the visit even better. A really cozy pub/restaurant with nice staff and a proper Irish vibe. It has also a very convenient location in the harbour, so if you are heading for the Howth cliff walk, you should definitely visit this place. I could recommend their fish and chips:)

What a pleasant surprise. We spent the morning walking the cliffs and enjoying the sites of Howth. We wanted to have lunch close to the pier, so we decided on O’Connells. The food was delicious, the Guinness was cold, and the entertainment was spectacular! We arrived at 12:30 on Sunday just as the restaurant was opening. We were immediately present it with our beverages, followed by our meals. Michele had to East Pier chowder, and I had the O’Connell’s Beef and Guinness pie. Both are entrées were outstanding. The wait staff were efficient and friendly. As an added bonus local musicians were playing their favorite tunes. Definitely unexpected and totally awesome!

The Dog House Blue's Tea Room Restaurant in Howth offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience with its quirky and creative atmosphere. The restaurant features living room furniture, mismatched decor, vintage interiors, an open fire, cozy nooks, and even a double bed as seating. It's a memorable place to enjoy lunch with friends in the outdoor living room-style seating area complete with eclectic furniture and fairy lights.
It is very lovely place to visit. Comfortably located right next to the train station , the cafe itself is like a museum. Variable menu and good choice of drinks. We went there for breakfast before going to a hike and absolutely enjoyed it. Decent prices and friendly staff. My husband loved his tuna melt - lots of cheese.

What a great spot. Full of character. The seating is varied from lounger sofas to proper tables and chairs. Dogs are very welcome inside too. I had the pizza, they got the pizza order slightly wrong but the dogs benefitted from the unwanted chicken on my pizza. My partner had the seafood pasta and garlic bread. She thought it was fantastic. It's a lovely place to chill out too with a coffee. We didn't have deserts but judging the look of them from what other customers were having they looked really nice They even have a few dishes on the menu for your furry pals. I will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely meal on a Friday evening, found a cozy spot on the couches. The food was delicious, we had pizza the huge goat cheese salad, and wedges. We had one desert between us, apple pie and two coffees. Bill bill was just over €50 which was very reasonable. The staff were under a bit of pressure, but they did their best.

Location & Access: Located in the charming seaside town of Howth, this spot sits near the lighthouse, Howth Market, and various souvenir shops and seafood stalls. It’s highly accessible—just a 2-minute walk from the DART station and easily reachable via "H3" and "6" buses. Whether you’re driving or taking public transport from Dublin, finding this place is a breeze. The surrounding sea breeze and coastal vibe immediately set the tone. Ambience & Space: This place is truly unique—spacious, eclectic, and unforgettable. It offers both indoor and semi-outdoor seating areas, with quirky elements like Viking-style tables, vintage leather sofas, and even an actual bed you can relax on. The design blends various old-school styles to create a cozy, relaxing, and Instagram-worthy experience. There are heaters and fireplaces for colder days, and the overall vibe is perfect for couples, groups, or solo visitors looking to unwind. Low music and a laid-back atmosphere make it ideal for real conversation and chill time. Cleanliness: Indoors, the restaurant is very clean—spotless tables, dishes, and floors. The bathrooms are also clean. The outdoor seating area has a more rustic charm: a bit dusty and with signs of wear like pet hair or sofa cracks, but it all feels intentional and fitting with the laid-back, pet-friendly vibe. Blankets are provided for guests who want to stay warm outside, which is a thoughtful touch. Menu & Pricing: The menu covers everything from starters and main courses to desserts, teas, and coffees. They also offer alcoholic beverages. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and ambiance. We ordered tiramisu, cheesecake, chai latte, Americano, and Earl Grey tea. Every item was beautifully presented—especially the tea, served in elegant floral chinaware. The Earl Grey wasn’t a generic teabag—it seemed to be a custom blend, filled with quality leaves. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had, and the drinks were flavorful and served at perfect temperatures. Gluten-free options and clear allergy information are also available. Staff & Service: Professional, attentive, and pleasantly hands-off. The staff gives you space to enjoy your time, which is rare and appreciated. Service was timely, friendly, and smooth. Accessibility & Extras: The restaurant is wheelchair- and pet-friendly, and there’s ample space for groups. It’s also a great place to relax for a while—not just eat and go. Final Thoughts: This place gave me such a great vibe that I want to make it my regular spot—a real patogh. It’s a cozy, unique gem by the sea with character, comfort, and quality all wrapped into one. 100% recommend and definitely returning.

The biggest Howth dissapointing. Chowder tasted like bechamel sauce, i found one 2cm piece of salmon there and that's all.. Quesadilla is not quesadilla, just tortilla with chicken. Pizza is a flatbread with topping and "sangria" is not sangria. Awful food and bad customer service. Avoid! At least birds liked 'pizza'.
Zuzanna — Google review
I was going on the bog of frogs hike, and stopped in here to use the toilets before hand as it’s just beside the dart, I fell in love with it straight away and was definitely stopping back in when I finished the hike. The atmosphere is so lovely a chilled, the decor being all second hand or gifted to them gives such a unique vibe to the place along with the jazz music playing in the background, I love that you can bring dogs along also! I had a pizza and chips which was delicious and fresh, along with a strawberry spritz which was gorgeous and a couple glasses of wine🩷 Staff were great and friendly! I would definitely come back just for here even though it is an hour and a half journey from where I live!

Bodega Coffee, located in Howth Market, has been a key player in the modern coffee scene since 2017. This local hotspot offers a range of high-quality coffee options and delectable treats, including cookies from The Cookie Bro. They source their beans from Dublin coffee roasters, Full Circle. i bought a pistacchio cake, do no buy it!!! there was literally nothing that would taste like pistacchio in the cake. it was literally just a cake that did not have any layers of flavour or filling in the middle. i do not recommend, it’s waste of your money. do no make the same mistake i made. never again. the only thing that it was made of was the cake dough and probably one small pistacchio that was crushed and sprinkled on the top to mislead you into believing that it will actually taste like pistacchio. it won’t.

The best customer service. The staff are lovely and polite to everyone, whether you are a tourist like me or a morning regular. I come here whenever I’m in Ireland and they never have an off day regardless the weather or how busy . Hospitality is a hard gig at the best of time so consistency is difficult when it comes to staff keeping up . Good coffee and good music

Had the maple spice hot chocolate, recommended by one of the staff, and it was soothing and comforting. The location is vibey as you can see the view of the harbour from the cafe. The market is also close by for you to have a look around at the shops. The staff was very friendly too.

I had the chance today to be at bodega Café. I ordered the kinder chocolate cookie and the carrot cake along with flat white. The kinder chocolate cookie could have used 30 seconds in the microwave for it to be perfect. It was good and taste however it was a bit on the solid side For me, the carrotscake was simple moist and had a nice frost into it. It wasn’t heavy, which is a good thing and the flat white was absolutely delicious. Definitely stop by here if you’re at the market.

A decent choice for a short break, especially if you're in the area. Small and quiet coffee shop, good for a quick stop or a casual coffee date. Since it is some what close to the harbour as well as the train station, it is visited by tourists like myself... at least during my visit, there were also two semi-large groups I dropped by for a coffee while waiting for the rain to pass. The experience wasn’t particularly memorable, but it wasn’t bad either. Just a simple, no-fuss spot. The staff was okay; one of them was in training on the day I visited. The place was clean and had a minimalistic decor.

Off Grid Coffee, located in Howth, Dublin, is a hidden gem that promises an exceptional coffee experience. The rich and smooth coffee is bursting with flavor, making it one of the best coffee spots in Dublin. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, providing top-notch hospitality. Customers can also enjoy delicious acai bowls with fresh toppings and fruits. The iced lattes are particularly recommended and the customer service is exceptional.
Off Grid Coffee is my favorite cafe in Howth! They do so much more than just coffee, of course. They have the best matcha in Dublin, and always offer a wide selection of pastries, treats, overnight oats, sandwiches and more! The staff are absolutely amazing and cannot say enough good things about them. They are so welcoming and kind. It’s also a plus that they’re dog friendly - Off Grid is my dog’s favorite place in Howth! She gets so excited to see everyone and the employees spoil her with treats :) Having Off Grid in our neighborhood makes it feel like home.

A lovely spot! My iced latte was delicious and my açaí bowl was AMAZING! In the US, açaí bowls are really popular so I’ve had loads and these really live up to what one should be. Friendly staff and a cute atmosphere, it was a great stop after my cliff walk.

Coffee was amazing!!! It was hard having to choose between a toasted sandwich or the açai bowl as they both looked delicious! We opted for 2 different sandwiches (the Turkey and the chicken ones) We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches and could tell they were freshly homemade. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish - we are looking forward to our next visit 😁

Irish restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant or cafe
The House Restaurant in Howth village offers a blend of modern and classic Irish cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients. Unlike many other restaurants in the area that focus solely on seafood, The House also features modern Irish dishes like goats cheese panna cotta and pork belly with spiced potato croquette. Despite its diverse menu, the restaurant has been consistently recognized as one of Ireland's top 100 restaurants for five years.
Near the top of the hill on Main Street in Howth, this charming cafe is known for great scones, and it didn't disappoint. I was surprised by how busy it was for a Tuesday afternoon (2:30 PM) in early April, which I think was a testament to how good the place is. Overall, It's a great spot to rest before heading back down to the harbor.

We visited The House with the whole family and had such a lovely experience! We called just 30 minutes in advance on a weekend and were able to book a table with no problem. Huge thanks to the owner — he’s absolutely wonderful and made us feel so welcome. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! The mussels were full of flavour, and the fish and chips were simply outstanding. Even our kids loved everything — and the ice cream at the end was a perfect reward for finishing their meals. Highly recommended for a cosy, family-friendly dining spot in Dublin. We’ll definitely be back! 💛

Our first visit to The House was brilliant. Our son is autistic and has sensory difficulties and staff were so kind and understanding in giving us a table in a quieter section. He soon forgot his anxiety as he tucked into the delicious pancakes with berries. Huge thanks to everyone for making us so comfortable. Will definitely be back.

€90 for 4 small breakfast. No white pudding only black, sausages aren’t normal sausages they’re made with black pudding 1x bacon, 1x sausage, 1x black pudding, 1x slice of toast cut in half.. it was by far the worst I’ve seen the food was even burnt, teas and coffees not included.. I could say I enjoyed any bit of the experience I ended up walking next door to the deli in the shop

Lovely dining experience with great service and a relaxed atmosphere. The House Restaurant offers a really enjoyable dining setting — elegant yet welcoming. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, which made the whole experience feel personal and comfortable. The food was well prepared and nicely presented, with a good balance of flavours and portion sizes. overall everything was fresh and well cooked. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — ideal for a relaxed evening with family or friends. Prices are fair for the quality, and the service team really deserves praise for their professionalism. Would definitely recommend and happily return on my next visit to the area! 🍷🍽️

Located away from the bustling main strip of Howth, The House Restaurant offers a tranquil escape for those looking to unwind and enjoy a hearty meal. My friend and I recently popped in for breakfast after a leisurely stroll, and we were thoroughly impressed by the warm ambiance and delicious food. The full Irish Breakfast we ordered was a true delight - the bacon was cooked to perfection and had a rich, smoky flavour that left me craving more. As we sipped on our steaming cups of tea, we found ourselves engrossed in conversation without the usual distractions or feeling rushed to move on. What sets The House Restaurant apart is its serene setting, away from the throngs of tourists that often populate the main areas of Howth. This allows for a peaceful dining experience, where one can truly savour their meal and enjoy the company of friends without any interruptions. Overall, The House Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey that combines great food, a tranquil atmosphere, and friendly service. It's the perfect spot to unwind and indulge in an authentic Irish breakfast that will leave your taste buds singing with joy.

Was there about 4pm on Sunday 3rd of August and the staff are some of the happiest and friendliest I've ever had at a Starbucks. They are a real credit to the team there! Keeping the place clean, organised and drinks make quicky but also dealing with all the customers in a very cheerful manner!

Pop in for breakfast - had chicken pesto sandwich and tea - it was tasty. However, the male assistant (with glasses and beard) was blowing his nose loudly behind the counter..... it was disgusting for me to continue eating my sandwich 🤮 I noticed that in Ireland lots of people blow their nose in eating areas and they do it quiet loud...... why not to go to the bathroom or at least do it discreetly? Anyway, wasn't pleasant experience for me!

I’ve been coming to this Starbucks for years. Today was quite disappointing. 1. The staff extremely unfriendly. 2. The coffee was terrible 2. I then noticed that a lid fall onto the floor and the staff put it back after several seconds on the floor back onto the rest of the clean lids. Ensure you check that your staff follows cleaning protocols, I definitely won’t be ordering coffee while these two guys are servicing.

Expensive coffee for a very poor experience. We were the only people in the queue and it still took 10 minutes to make a coffee. No one else came in for another 10 minutes and every available table in the place was full of old coffees and needed to be cleaned. One of the people behind the counter was tidying up sandwiches that were absolutely perfect but didn’t come out to clean the tables. We had to clean our own table. The coffee is palatable but just so. While its next to the water the front is mostly wall and you can’t see anything especially in the evening. Expensive coffee for a very poor experience

Insomnia Coffee Company in Howth has recently undergone a splendid transformation, emerging as a bright, modern, and spacious café after a three-week refurbishment. The chain branch offers fair-trade coffee, hot chocolate, tea, sandwiches, and pastries. Visitors can expect the same friendly staff and the usual hot chocolate at this standard coffee chain cafe. With its location by the harbor, it's an ideal spot to enjoy some of the best hot chocolate and cakes/slices while taking in the scenic views.
I don't really ever get coffee but after a long tiring flight I really needed one. So I went inside and asked the young lady for any recommendations. She said that for the season they had a limited time pumpkin pie or something like that. I don't know if it's Halloween flavoured so I ordered it and it was really good. She also seemed very patient with me because I was very tired. So I just asked her if I could leave my luggage out in the lobby area and she said yeah.

Stopped by for a takeaway matcha iced latte and a spicy tuna melt sandwich before the Howth cliff walk. Great service and a lovely atmosphere, perfect for coffee, milkshakes, and sweet treats.

Coffee is decent and good value but not exceptional. Tried the carrot cake which was also fresh and good in quality. Ambiance pleasant but functional and McDonalds like. Staff were pleasant but lacked great organisation as short queue moved at a glacial pace. All in all perfectly acceptable but hard to find a reason to rush back to this one.

I got a matcha and it had lumps of powder in it, I was literally chewing powder. My boyfriend got a coffee and it tastes expired. The matcha was the exact same in blanchardstown insomnia. It's not fair to charge €6 for coffees that are so bad they can't even be drank.

Stopped in on a rainy Thursday at around 3 for a cup of coffee. I ordered a latte, which came out pretty quickly, but hot and with a cute little heart design. The café itself is spacious and clean. Seems like this is an Irish chain. I'd probably prefer this over Starbuck's.

Absolutely flawless! The service was amazing from start to finish. Our waiter, Felipe, was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly made the experience special. The entire team was wonderful… friendly, welcoming, and professional. And the French Toast? Honestly, the best I’ve ever had in my life! Everything was perfect – from the flavor to the presentation. such a cute place! the staff was very welcoming, the mood was so cozy and the food was out of this world. i really recommend the chicken burger, in which you can precisely taste every flavor that is listed in the recipe, as well as the chicken chorizo melt! the fries were also really good, not too salty and pretty crunchy! as for drinks, the mint raspberry lemonade is a must try, the mint doesn't overpower the raspberry and it was so refreshing, delightful even on a windy day! outdoor seating area available if you're not afraid of the cold breeze:)

Upon walking in the restaurant the smell of disinfectant was very overwhelming. We had high hopes for the food but we were very disappointed. The pog breakfast costing €18.50 was cold, dry and honestly sad looking. The breakfast brioche arrived 7 mins later than the rest of the table and was cold! something that should’ve costed €8 max was €14.50! not even a side salad included. very sad looking. the croque madame was the only good meal but when the waitress asked if we wanted chips on the side she did not inform us it would cost €6 extra! although the people were nice, service was slow, the food quality was very poor and way too overpriced!!! €64 for mediocre food left us upset. won’t be coming back :(

Delicious food, comfy place to sit, and such lovely staff! I popped in after a walk around Howth on a day trip from Dublin, so I missed the big lunch crowd that I originally saw when I walked by. I wasn’t too hungry but wanted something sweet and a place to sit, so I came in around 2 PM and asked if I could have a lighter option of their “make your own” pancakes. They were kind enough to make me a kids portion, which was only two layers instead of three, customized with the options I wanted. The coffee (Americano with hazelnut syrup) was also a delight. Thanks so much, POG team! Felipe was a fantastic server 🙌

If there were a world-toast contest, this charming spot would undoubtedly take home the trophy. Nestled in Howth, it’s not just about the toast; their coffee is equally delightful and perfect for warming up on chilly mornings.

The Country Market is a charming little store that offers a diverse and high-quality assortment of deli-style dishes. Many patrons enjoy picking up meals here for picnics along the cliffs. However, there are two issues that could be easily addressed. Firstly, their salad tubs are unsuitable for presenting the salads properly as they just dump various options on top of each other, resulting in a mishmash. A different type of plate or tray would greatly enhance the presentation.
Great little country market to stop to buy your every day groceries. Staff members friendly and welcoming. The coffee and teas were fresh, hot and tasted great. Highly recommended!

The Country market features a small cafe upstairs. It was recently renovated and is clean and open with great light. The decor is easy on the eye and the views offered through the windows are a definite plus. We were alone there during lunch and, as a result, service was quick. The staff were friendly and chatty. We ordered five items. Salmon asparagus was nice and cooked well. Goats cheese with Salad was reasonable. One of us ordered a Shepard’s pie. Not so good. Way too much MSG and an almost blended meat. Was it even Lamb?. Difficult to tell. Sausage roll was leaning towards tasteless and the pastry was not remotely crisp. But the best was chicken wings. Rarely have I had such unloved and overcooked wings. What a mess? There was barely any meat left they had lost so much mass in the overcooking process. Not in a hurry to return. Those who follow me know that I rarely post negative reviews. This has to be the exception. The process of heating the food truly needs to be looked at.

The food was bussin. I mean it was really good The breakfast is really failing and the hot chocolate was really good. I'm kind of glad they did not go overly sweet on it because many places go hot wild on the sweetness, but this one was not too overpowering on sweetness

I visited The River Cafe and enjoyed a takeaway Caesar salad and flat white coffee. The cafe had a lovely ambiance, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely return when I am in the area again. The food options were diverse, ranging from hot spicy chicken wings to toasted BLT sandwiches with fries. They also served pancakes with crispy bacon, syrup, and cream, which was delicious. Overall, the cafe offered excellent food at reasonable prices in a welcoming atmosphere.
Had a craving for a breakfast around lunchtime and headed to the river cafe, it was really quite busy but were promptly seated, thankfully the breakfast police hadn’t enforced their wicked ways at this particular establishment enforcing a midday cut off point for breakfast. I ordered the mini and must say it was delicious, served with sourdough toast double bacon a sausage beautiful freshly cooked egg and a nice lump of white pudding with some cherry tomatoes. Definitely will be back

We were in Dublin for a special occasion and decided to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, it ended up being a disappointing experience. We waited quite a while before anyone came to take our order — the staff seemed more focused on refilling seats than checking in with customers already there. If we had known they were too busy to accommodate even small requests, we honestly wouldn’t have stayed. When we were finally asked for our order, my auntie politely asked if she could customise a panini — just three basic ingredients — and was told, “We’re too busy.” Not the warmest welcome for new customers, especially when the request was so simple. Myself i ordered the goat cheese ciabatta, took one bite, and immediately had to spit it out — I said it tasted off. We called the manager over, explained that I didn’t like the food, and politely asked if I could order something else instead. The manager said no. When we pointed out again that I hadn’t eaten it because she genuinely didn’t like it, the manager replied, “It is goat cheese. You should order something you know you’re going to like.” I replied that I had eaten goat cheese before and enjoyed it — this just didn’t taste right — but the manager showed no interest or care. she simply took the food away and refused to offer anything further. At the till, the ciabatta was still on the bill. We explained again that it wasn’t eaten and was removed without replacement. The manager said we should still pay because it was a “waste of food.” It was eventually removed, but the way the situation was handled left us feeling very unwelcome. We also noticed there’s an extra €2 charge just to eat in — which is fine, but for that added cost, we expected a bit more flexibility and basic customer care. This was our first visit, and likely our last. A real shame, as we were looking forward to it. would not recommend this place at all
