Kohinoor Indian Restaurant & Pizza offers an authentic taste of India with dishes like Palak Paneer, Plain Naan, and Chicken Taki. The spinach curry is described as having a genuine Indian flavor that's not westernized, while the naan is praised for its perfect texture - chewy inside and crispy outside. The Chicken Taki resembles Tandoori chicken without bones and has a hint of Thai flavor due to the small coriander leaves on the surface.
Loved the food! The palak paneer and paneer tikka masala were soo yummy! Will definitely come back here!! Flavours were strong and definitely one of my fav Indian restaurants in Thailand!
Eden L — Google review
My daughter and I had lunch at this restaurant today and we were very warmly welcomed. There is a wide selection of Indian dishes, the service was quick, and the food was truly delicious. Since we didn’t finish everything, we asked to take the leftovers with us, and the waiter brought everything back neatly packed in boxes with disposable cutlery. A thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Thank you
Maud B — Google review
We missed this place on our first evening because we couldn't believe so many positive reviews. I wish I could go back. This is the best Indian food I've had, and the tastiest dinner in this entire vacation. We had two kinds of breads, an appetizer and two main dishes - all were excellent. Do not miss out!!!
Gon A — Google review
When in Rome… lol! One of the best Indians I’ve had in a while. Been to India a couple times and this one for sure comes close to the curries there. Outstanding. The naan was so morish, I stole my partners from his plate when he wasn’t looking (I hope he doesn’t read this review) Also nice to have a change from Thai food for just one night. Dw I will be back on the Tom Yom Soup and Pad Thais tomorrow.

Best Indian food I ever ate outside of India. Great variety of dishes, endless vegetarian options, everything we ordered was so good, and the nicest people ❤️ We ate there everyday during our stay in Railay
Nitsan K — Google review
So good we came here twice. Hands down the best food in Railay. Lamb samosa, garlic naan and chicken tikka misala were all amazing. Friendly service. Highly recommend!
Alice C — Google review
The best Indian food I have ever eaten. People it’s very nice and they are very friendly. My favorite was the butter chicken.

Very tasty and very satisfying portion size. Authentic Indian food and great variation of different meals. Very good if you want to diversify your food plan in thailand. Toilets could be better serviced as everywhere in thailand.

Restaurant
Mangrove restaurant is a laid-back dining spot located in a serene resort near the Mu Ko Lanta National Park. The restaurant offers a delicious Thai menu, with standout dishes like Seafood Pad Thai and BBQ chicken leg, complemented by refreshing mango or lychee shakes. Guests praise the affordable prices and commend the courteous and talented Tew family who runs the place. With its delightful food and welcoming atmosphere, it's a must-visit when in Railay.
We eat here 3 times. The food was good, the portions are a little small but also the price is small. We had grilled shrimps that were very goood! We also had shrimps tempura (very good!), chicken tempura, seafood tom yam (very good) and bbq chicken. The menus are kind of dirty so you need some cleaning wipes for your hands.
Alice C — Google review
We tried 4 different restaurants in railay and this one was by far the best. We ended up eating there three times during our stay cause it was that good! Its also very fairly priced when compared to the other restaurants we ate, so I would definitely recommend you try it. We had various dishes in different occasions - prawn dumplings, fish BBQ, pad thai, papaya salad, crab fried rice and deed fried prawns with chilli sauce. I loved all of these as they were super fresh and tasty. My personal favourites was the deep fried prawns with chilli sauce and the fish BBQ. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it!
Filipa P — Google review
The restaurant is huge and there are lots of tables available for dine in. The decoration is also very nice. There are various foods available. What I can say is that the food is delicious. Went here for a lunch and I ordered the cheapest fried rice with no expectations at all but it turned out to be very delicious. The portion is fair and the price is very reasonable considering the location and logistic challenge to arrive here. The service is also good, the waiter is nice and the waiting time is not too long. The restaurant is clean and the environment is very comfortable. Suitable to hang out with friends and family. Recommendedm
Hafizun M — Google review
We loved this restaurant and went back a second time. The menu is huge and has really good veggie options. Both times we loved our dishes, full of flavour and freshness. The staff are very nice and helpful. The bbq chicken was exceptional!
Melina P — Google review
We were very happy with our dinner at the Mangrove restaurant tonight. There are many dishes available and seems more reasonably priced than a lot of other restaurants on Railay. We ordered Kao Soi and Som Tham and Pad Thai with a mango and mango/passionfruit smoothie. Everything was delicious. Portions were good/generous. They ask how spicy you like it and provided chilis so I could decide how much to add to the soup. The service is very friendly and kind and there is lots of seating available. Food arrived quickly. We will be coming back! Edit: Came back again for a second time because we visited other places and just didn’t get food as good as here. The place was BUMPING busy but the food still arrived quickly. Stop looking for a good place to eat Thai food in Railay Bay— this is it! Another edit: (came back five times) HONOURABLE MENTIONS OF WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER: - any of the set menus with the smoothie (I recommend the Kao Soi with a mango/passion fruit smoothie) - grilled chicken - fish in Penang curry sauce - grilled squid - any of the stir fries (we like chicken in basil sauce)
Sarah S — Google review
This was one of our favorite meals in Thailand! We were only in Railay Beach for three days and we went twice. We highly recommend the fried cashew chicken, the Panang curry, and the espresso frappe!
Taylor N — Google review
It is a pity because the restaurant was full when we arrived (my wife and I) but very bad quality of food and service. Unfortunately I ordered a ham and cheese pizza and it came obviously with a frozen base and instead of tomato sauce, simply ketchup. I tasted only the first clove and left all of the pizza. When I told the staff they told me that they give a lot of pizzas and I am the only one complained. Sorry but this is insulting instead of saying being sorry for not serving what you should have. There are other much better restaurants in the area, even for pizza, who shored me the real home made base before they baked the pizza Sorry guys, the food is good abs the bad is bad. This was not a pizza, but something really bad and bad service as they forced me to pay something I did not eat in the end…

Restaurant
The Grotto @ Rayavadee (Hotel guests only) is a popular spot, especially on Tuesdays around 4 PM. It's recommended for couples looking for a romantic dinner with spectacular views. The cave-like setting above the beach adds to its charm. The menu features delicious options like fish in salt shells and Andaman Lobster, as well as exceptional appetizers and sauces.
Review as a non hotel guest: Upon arrival at the Rayavadee Resort, we were met by a friendly and accommodating member of hotel staff who walked us over to a waiting area outside, and within a minute a long buggy vehicle whisked us down the winding landscape grounds of this beautiful resort towards The Grotto. Spectacularly set within a cliff-side rockface, this wonderful sand carpeted restaurant blew us away. The ambience (piano and sax playing the classics), the lighting (warm and ambient) and thunderstorm backdrop in the distance really set the tone and scene for probably the most incredible location I've ever eaten in, publicly. The service, ambience, food, and excellent wines were all on par and at a 5 star level, and there was never any sense of being rushed or made to feel like our table was in danger of being turned in the 3hrs we were there. It was an exquisite experience and reasonably priced for such a filling and well cooked ensemble of delicious seafood, steaks, and refreshing desserts. If you are staying on the east port side of Krabi, book your table here for the evening as the sun goes down and mark my words, you'll leave feeling like you're experienced something wonderful to remember as part of your trip.

A Must-Visit for Unforgettable Ambiance! This restaurant boasts an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. If you can time your visit around sunset, you'll be treated to an even more spectacular experience. Being inside a cave, it felt refreshingly cool, and I noticed significantly fewer mosquitoes, which was a huge plus. While the prices are on the higher side, both the food and the incredible ambiance made it thoroughly satisfying. The live music played by a session band inside the cave truly enhanced the overall mood. My only minor disappointment was the service, which wasn't as friendly as I'd hoped. I didn't experience the same level of hospitality here that I encountered elsewhere at the resort. Despite that, I still highly recommend this restaurant for a unique and memorable dining experience.
Charles K — Google review
The service has an outstanding view to the beach with a beautiful sunset and a cave. The food was great, but very overpriced to what you get. Generally it's great to come here if you're looking for a beautiful dining experience.
Gal A — Google review
Dining at The Grotto was an absolutely magical experience. Nestled inside a cave right by the beach, the atmosphere is truly one-of-a-kind—romantic, peaceful, and with a breathtaking view of the ocean and limestone cliffs. The food was nicely presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall experience. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The setting, the service, and the food came together perfectly for an unforgettable meal. A must-visit if you're in Krabi. Unique and stunning dining spot.

Need reservations in advanced and be the guest of the Rayawadee resort. Not many tables. You will have the quality and excellent taste of foods in the menu. All staffs are very welcome.
Pakij S — Google review
Overpriced rubbish food! Let’s start with the positives, it’s a cute spot to be in and the staff were right enough, but do not go for food. It’s terrible! My pasta dish looked reheated and the mussels were so dry I couldn’t eat them. Probably the worst pasta dish I’ve been served. After seeing the other reviews I’d dread to think what the seafood platter would be like! Such a shame! Especially as it’s in a 5 star resort. Maybe opt for just a drink.
Amy D — Google review
One of the best dinner experiences we have ever had. Great food, not to much expensive, great service, and the location seems you are a movie start ! Thank you The Grotto Team

This is the definition of a hidden gem, we had a beautiful lunchtime cocktail session and couldn't have had a better experience. That being said be mindful of the tide here as high tide and low tide are both equally beautiful but vastly different experiences. Thank you to your amazing staff! Emma

Raitalay Terrace in Krabi is a fine dining option located at the Rayavadee Resort. While some reviews mention that it's necessary to be a hotel guest to dine here, others emphasize that the restaurant offers delicious food made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The staff is described as friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. With a beautiful beach and ocean view, this spot is recommended for a sunset dinner.
1. You have to be a hotel guest to dine here 2. Many reviews that had 1 star were OUTSIDE guest 3. The current rating of this restaurant was prone to 1 star ratings from OUTSIDE guests who were refused service obviously 4. For a 5 star THAILAND based hotel/resort that range from USD 400-2000, the average main course is USD$20. This place is NOT expensive 5. Please do not waste time throwing eggs at this place just because you are not a guest. 6. Stay at this resort, experience the restaurant before you make your contributions Thank you

The restaurant has a very nice view of the bay. Most importantly, the service was first-rate. The waiters and especially the supervisor were extremely polite. Thanks to them. The food is very delicious, the prices are worthy of the place. Thanks again to the staff.
Gyorgy D — Google review
We had a truly wonderful evening at this restaurant! The food was of exceptionally high quality, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole experience a delight. While the prices are higher than the average in Thailand, the value for money is definitely there – you get what you pay for in terms of quality and service.

Our nighttime visit was truly memorable! Enjoying dinner with the beautiful night ocean view was a highlight. The ambiance, especially the lighting, was spot on, and the food was delicious. A big plus was definitely the noticeably fewer mosquitoes. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptionally kind staff; their friendliness made our visit incredibly satisfying
Charles K — Google review
Nice view of beach and ocean, well trained staff. You may have only Thai food choices but so many selections of alcohol. One of most gorgeous Thai food I have ever experienced. Pricing as well.
Y S — Google review
Overall almost 5 stars but prices are s bit higher then we‘re used to here in Krabi (almost double) so thats why 4 and not 5 stars. But honestly it was sooooooo delicious wow!!!
Jessica P — Google review
Very nice view and good atmosphere, we were there when there was live music as well. Price: extremely high for Thailand, we had food, 1 cocktail, 1 bottle of water and 2 desserts : 3000 Thai Bath. Water was almost 10€. Food was OK Dessert was GREAT Cocktail was GOOD not special
Harold V — Google review
The mint dessert was a bowl of frosting and jelly that tasted like toothpaste. The chocolate dessert was dense, flavorless, and clearly used storebought caramel and toffee. My toffee had paper in it. The curries we got were oily or lacking of taste as well as including fish bones. The portion sizes are way too big. The wagyu maki appetizer was completely thrown off with how insanely fatty it is—drenched in mayo with cream cheese inside. It’s crazy to think any of these menu items were approved or fully eaten by anyone beforehand.

Bar & grill
Situated at the end of the strip, The Last Bar is a popular hangout spot for visitors to the town. Nestled along the beachfront, it offers a relaxed atmosphere where guests can savor drinks and watch Thai boxing matches and fire shows while listening to the soothing sounds of waves crashing from the Andaman Sea. The bar's casual vibe is accentuated by its unique Thai beach-style wooden furniture and cushions, making it an ideal place to unwind without worrying about dressing up.
Food was delicious and the waiter was lovely. I ordered the deep fried snapper with mango salad. There was no mango in the salad but it didn’t matter because the flavours were so good. Highly recommend coming here

Staying at Railay hilltop so this is right at the bottom of the steps for us. Great food for a really affordable price, tasted delicious and good sized portions. Also the mango smoothie was soo good we ordered another one! Highly recommend this spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!

What a dynamic and fun bar, exceptional in every way. Husband and wife team running the show with her behind the bar providing quick and attentive service and he doing everything else from organizing the Muay Thai fights to then turning into a really good DJ, like really good!! This bar/club/Muay Thai arena has an incredible vibe with a killer one man fire show as the cherry on top. That guy was BADASS!!! Highly recommend when in Railay!!

What an amazing find on the opposite end of the island for us! We loved eating right on the water. So relaxing and peaceful, especially when all the tourists have gone home for the night. Absolutely need to eat here if you are staying over on the island. Super friendly aunties running the show. The lights actually went out on us for a few minutes but they had it up and running again in no time. Made for a memorable experience!
Greg K — Google review
Great place for no frills, cheap & good eats, smoothies, & beer, nice staff, & a good view. We ate here lunch & dinner for 3 of our 5 days in Railay East. Would have ate there all 5 days if they weren’t closed for a much needed break. We had spring rolls, pad Thai, drunken noodles, cashew chicken & pizza. All were good. Sad we didn’t get to try more. Their English is iffy, so you won’t get into a deep conversation, but nice people nonetheless.
Mike S — Google review
Surprisingly delicious food. I didn't expect anything good from such a simple place. But in fact, this is one of the best Thai food we've ever tried.
Nadya — Google review
We didn’t know what we’d find on the other side of the island, but this place has such a great view and I thought it was better than all of the other restaurants on the island from a quality perspective. The man serving the tables is also great at making sure you’re taken care of.

Restaurant
Railay Family Restaurant is a cozy eatery with wood and bamboo decor that offers authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. The Chicken Larb is particularly recommended for its delicious and spicy flavor, especially when paired with sticky rice. The restaurant is family-owned, and the attentive service ensures that all guests are well taken care of. Visitors also praise the tasty steamed fish and stir-fried veggies, making it a pleasant surprise in a tourist area.
We are staying at Rayavadee, quite a 'posh' hotel on the beach at Railey beach. Hotel food is good but horrendously expensive and we wanted something more local Plus the Walking Street is really good fun. We found this place as they had a live singer on, live BBQ outside cooking fish/ seafood family friendly , and looked like a good place. Also had a wood fired oven for my younger daughter who wanted pizza. I am a pain when it comes to good local food and I can tell you the food here is very good ! Great menu options, very reasonably priced (cost about 1/5th of what it does at the hotel) and most important great food and taste. We tried a load of different dishes and all were great.. the giant BBQ'd local prawns were exceptional! As we are all the Thai dishes. My daughter's wood fired pizza was also really good , as I finished it off !My only negative was the service (mainly drinks) when it gets busy is a little slow, so just keep politely reminding them All in all a great place on the street.
Andrew — Google review
One of the few restaurants in Thailand that has the same price for each option (chicken, beef, shrimp etc) Pad Thai 80 baht. I missed the dried chilli and sugar on the table to flavour the food. I had 3 prawns in the whole meal, which didn't seem too much to me. Overall the taste was good.
Luboš — Google review
Visited Railay Beach for the day and stumbled across this awesome restaurant. Very fast and attentive service, and amazing food. The chicken was to die for and we also enjoyed the fried rice and some drinks. I wish we could go back as it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Thailand!
Claire V — Google review
Fantastic food with a smile! We ate here quite a few times during our stay in Railay because the food was just so good. Service was quick and all the staff were so friendly. I recommend the thai pancakes, fried papaya salad, Massaman curry and mango sticky rice. If you are in the mood for Western food, the grilled cheese sandwich was also very good.
Anna B — Google review
Walked past this place and just had to stop the owner was so friendly and welcoming. The food was great especially the grilled chicken (which he proudly says is the best… and honestly, I agree) While you’re sitting there, you’ll be surrounded by birds, cats and the sound of the owner greeting everyone who walks by. Such a lovely vibe and great service. Definitely recommend! I’ll be back for sure!
Pae — Google review
Our FAVORITE place on the island. We have eaten here numerous times each and every trip to Railey. We return because of their bbq'd chicken, and their super thin crust wood fired pizza. Great staff, best prices around. Highly recommended location. Greatvplace to come and eat and hide out from the rain during the monsoon season.
Mark B — Google review
This spot sits right in the heart of Railay, directly across from the beach. The setup is interesting—spread across both sides of the street with two floors of seating. There’s a constant BBQ going on with chicken and seafood sizzling, and it stays open until midnight, which is great if you’re out late. I ordered the Grilled Half Chicken, a Spicy Papaya Salad, and a few drinks. The food took about 15 minutes, which makes sense since everything is cooked fresh to order. The flavors were decent overall, but the grilled chicken came out a little dry. It also would’ve been better if they had served it with condiments like lemon or a small side salad to balance it out. Good for late-night eats and people-watching, but there’s room for small improvements in the food presentation.
Ankit R — Google review
I asked for a mango Oreo smoothie (not on the menu) they were happy to make it - it doesn’t look appealing but it tasted amazing! The food was also very good and all for a very affordable price, I’m sure we will be returning :)

Welcome Back Restaurant is a beloved dining spot in Railay, known for its amazing and affordable menu. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients daily, ensuring that every dish surpasses the nearby hotel offerings in taste and cleanliness. Run by a warm family, the restaurant also offers a spacious upstairs area perfect for enjoying sunsets or hosting gatherings. Visitors rave about the friendly staff and recommend trying the fresh fish dishes like swordfish, as well as the flavorful fried rice.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the red fish, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with lemon flavor. The atmosphere on the high deck was spot on, providing a stunning view and a relaxing vibe.

The food here is amazing! The restaurant is simple, hole-in-the-wall, yet clean! We had some of the most delicious and authentic Thai food I’ve had in a while. We ordered the green curry and they adapted me and my husband’s spice level (I like it way spicier than he does). The mango sticky rice and fruit smoothies were also excellent. Everything was served quickly and with friendly service.
Sarah S — Google review
WBR has a great barbecue in the front and a competent lady who fixed us outstanding giant shrimp and a piece of spectacular looking sail fish. Their soup, sautéed morning glory and banana in coconut milk dessert were all top notch too. All the disappointing reviews from customers who ordered western food should be ignored. You should never order western food in a restaurant whose competency is Thai seafood. Five stars from me without hesitation.

This restaurant was a lovely little find on the east side of Railay beach. The staff were warm and friendly and keen to deliver a delicious meal. We enjoyed a bbq sea bass which was cooked perfectly and great value for money! We will be back 😋

The food was great, We had a dietary restriction (Gluten free) and they did a HUGE effort for us! Checked all the ingredients list, made sure that gluten is not touch the dish and even used a gluten free soy sauce that we provided. Fish and sea food was super fresh and great VFM. 10/10 would recommend!

Pad thai was great. We were also recommended fresh swordfish caught on the same day, we went for it, and it was the best decision ever, it was delicious. They didn't ask for reviews either, which makes it even more so tempting to leave one. Also, they have a second floor that we didn't see but really enjoyed.

We stayed at Railay beach for just 3 nights and managed to have about 4 meals at Welcome Back because we loved it so much! The food was delicious and very authentic, best papaya salad, green curry, and mango rice I have had in Thailand so far! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, bringing us bug spray and fans and remembering our favourite table. Everything was fresh and tasty!

I am Thai and live outside of Thailand. I was searching for real Thai food flavors that I grew up with. This place will not disappoint you. My three friends that was with me order Spring rolls, pine apple fried rice, Fried Calamari, Pad Seew, Chicken Fried Rice, Yakisoba and Green Curry Fried rice with vegetables. They finished all their food and all said that they LOVE this place. I love the portion size also. Flavors are wonderful and to me it was excellent. This place is vegan, vegetarian and gluten free friendly too!! Just tell them what to leave out and they will hook you up. The price is fair and I will be eating here for the next 5 days. Jen Bar and Restaurant is a vibrant spot with live music, where you can enjoy drinks and a relaxed evening. The Diavola Pizza might need some extra kick, but it's still enjoyable. The Pina Colada and Whiskey and Cokes are recommended. The place offers excellent food, great service, and live music by a talented guitarist. They even cater to special dietary requests with delicious vegan curry.
I’ve been here in the evening for a few drinks and to listen to the live music. I love the vibe and enjoyed my time. I ate a Diavola Pizza. Honestly the Pizza needed some Tabasco added to it, but I still loved it. Along with it I had a Pina Colada and some Whiskey and Cokes. I can recommend this place!

Sorry to say first experience in the area a 40min wait for food, people arriving before us receiving their orders. Beer wasn’t cold as previously served around Thailand. Great looking location though and food was pretty good once it arrived

We stayed in the area for a full week and tried almost all the restaurants on the strip, and this was by FAR our favorite. Best curry, best pad thai, best pizza, great drinks and super friendly. Loved the lounge seats and live music chill vibes. Ignore the haters!
Megan P — Google review
I loved this restaurant. They have the best Pad Thai and barbecue prawns. They’ll charge you 200 baht for only one bbq prawn, but it is totally worth it. Also, the clear chicken soup is amazing, vastly served and delicious. It is also a great place to have some drinks and feel the beach vibe, listen to nice live music and have a nice time.
Fernanda R — Google review
What a fun place! The bar is where we started and the drinks were delicious! Prices were a little high but cheaper than at the resorts. We loved being able to relax upstairs and play games. The restaurant and the pizza are amazing but the service is a bit slow. Over all a fantastic (what looks to be family-run) place, a must stop for tourists staying on Railay Beach (east & west)!

Tasty food and good prices. Nice service and chill vibes. Not the best food on the strip but best environment for a relaxed evening instead of typical restaurant

Beautiful Thai food, just right size and portions, dont listen to the fat tourist whales that say it is too small . Perfect if you are normal non obese folk. Lovely pad kra pow, chicken cashew nut and omelette. Will be back . Thankyou 🤗

Krabi Night Market is a bustling plaza in downtown Krabi that offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of Thai people and showcases local artisans' work. It's a great place to find authentic Thai experiences, with numerous restaurants, bars, and night markets selling local handicrafts and souvenirs at discounted prices. The Ao Nang Night Market is particularly renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse food options, offering everything from local delicacies to international treats.
In Krabi, the best place to have food is night market. It opens around 5pm in evening but best time to reach is around 8 and by 11 pm it majorly closes. I promise you that you shall never get bored even you have to visit daily for quite a number of days. You get good variety and even lot of vegetarian food too. The evening fireworks and performances are pretty good and even live music.
Jasdeep S — Google review

Family-Friendly Fun,A Food Lover's Paradise,Wear comfortable shoes The Krabi Night Market is more than just a place to eat and shop; it's a true cultural experience that perfectly captures the charm and spirit of southern Thailand. It's a fantastic way to spend a weekend evening, and you'll quickly see why it's a favorite among both visitors and residents.

Perfect for a late evening Stroll, Plenty of Food Options, As Vegeterians we tried the Potato Twisters, Italian Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Fresh Coconut Water, Diced Sweet Mangoes, & an Ice cream! We obviously had to cancel our dinner plans!! 😅 There's plenty of thai food and other variety of authentic street food options for non vegeterians. Apart from the eateries, there are fun play sections for the kids. Bouncy castle, etc right in the center of the Night Market. Plenty of Shopping options, but we've seen better prices and variety in markets in Bangkok. Frankly only exciting things were hand carved and hand made items. Didn't get a chance to click more photos, but you'll get the gist. Oh! Before I forget there’s also a Muai Thai Boxing Arena in the night market, they charge about 1200baht for entry.

Tew Lay Bar is a stunning open bar located at the east end of Railay beach. With its bamboo flooring and location on the rocks, it offers visitors a unique experience. Guests can unwind in hammocks while taking in breathtaking views of the sunset and sea, all while being surrounded by nature. The bar also provides live music and fire shows for entertainment, but it's recommended to arrive early to secure a good seat for the show which typically starts at 9:30 pm.
Lovely place to eat, take a coffee and smoothie, relax and enjoy the nice view and atmosphere. Tom yam was delicious, smoothies and coffee too, but mango sticky rice was not good, this is I gave 4 stars to food. Service was perfect - polite, giving advices and English speaking. Definitely recommended!

This restaurant is really good. I went back a couple of times during my stay in Railay Beach (East side) and would definitely come back if I had the chance. I was always well taken care of, and the food was very tasty, with generous portions and traditional flavors and seasonings. The whole fish is amazing and a great choice. The fried rice is also very flavorful. The place is simple and cozy, right by the beach, usually with background music I enjoyed. Friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely worth a visit.

It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby beaches, rock climbing or kayaking. The bar offers a range of drinks, cocktails and fantastic snacks and local dishes. All delicious! The prices are really affordable. Tew Lay Bar has a picturesque setting, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. It embodies the essence of a tropical getaway, making it a must-visit for anyone spending time on Railay Beach.

What a hidden gem this is. Hesitated to post about it, but good things must share hor. This place epitomizes the concept of lepak. There's a large area just next to the dining hut that has bean bags, outdoor armchairs and swings for you to just... Chill. You do nothing but look out at the sea and feel the wind on your face. You don't need to order anything to chill there either though an iced cold beer to pair with the experience is a match made in heaven. Be careful of the bugsssss. Tons of mosquitoes, so come with some repellent. You would think the food will then be average. No! The complete opposite! Loved the flavorful Thai food. The chicken wings are a big recommendation from me. The Tom yam soup and the fried rice. Go for it, they are delicious. All in all, a big recommendation from me!

Chill bar/restuarant near the end of the trail just before the "Railay Great View Resort & Spa" that offers a peaceful view of the Railay East Beach. I went during daytime and there weren't too many people (maybe less than half full?), and the seats were bean bags on open, covered patios! Both coconut sluh & mango smoothei were amazing, keeping us cool under the shades. We chilled there for a while, so we got hungry and ordered some food. The food were mediocre. If I were to go back, I would only order the drinks here. There are a few photo spots as well, so make sure to take one on the hanging basket seat!

Thai restaurant
Sunset Bar at Railay Beach is a popular Indian restaurant located on Walking Street. The restaurant offers an extensive menu with the chef's special being palak paneer, a dish made of spinach and cottage cheese in green curry. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the ambiance during lunchtime is pleasant even on holidays. The quality of ingredients used in the dishes is decent, and customers should expect additional charges for VAT and service.
Beach front. Tasty curries, Pad Thai, papaya salad and fresh coconut. The food was very good. Coffee is average and rather expensive
Vlad K — Google review
While the food was okay the service was incredible average, the Staff overcharged us for 3 cocktails which we did not have. The Staff were unwilling to have a conversation about this and the Manager would not remove the cocktails, and pretended that he himself had served us directly, we don’t even drink the liquor in said cocktails so it made no sense? Unfortunately this cost us an additional $60AUD- absolutely insane prices. I would not recommend this bar unless you were very mindful of what you are ordering. A sad ending to our time on Railay.
Madison K — Google review
BE AWARE! DO NOT EAT HERE! Even the food is average, this place has the worst service in Thailand! You can call the waiter 5 time and he wo t look at your direction. All the workers here came to play around with the friends, not to work, and surely not to serve you. It’s expensive with no reason, and the ONLY place who charge you extra for VAT (with no reason and against the low) and the. Charge you for service that you didn’t get at all. BE AWARE!
Haim F — Google review
We stopped by for an afternoon snack rather than a full meal, choosing mushrooms, satay, a fresh young coconut, and a hot chocolate. The food was good enough for a casual bite, nothing to rave about, but it did the job while we enjoyed the view. Service was fine in our case—not especially warm or fast, but not a problem either. Compared to some other reviews here, we might have been a bit lucky: the restaurant wasn’t crowded when we visited, and since we speak Thai, communication was smooth. That probably helped avoid the frustrations others mentioned. Of course, the main highlight remains the location. Sitting right on the beach, with the ocean just steps away and the sky changing colors toward sunset, the atmosphere is what makes this spot worth considering. Bottom line: If you’re here for drinks or a light snack while taking in the view, it works well. For a serious meal or if you’re picky about service speed and food quality, you might want to explore alternatives nearby (if it even exists in a touristic spot like Railay).
Kevin S — Google review
There’s a reason why this place got only 2 stars for the reviews. 5 stars for the food. I went there with my boyfriend. The location is good but the service is horrible. I asked about the portion of the food and the waitress told me “it’s small” i should order something more. But turned out the portion is way too big till I couldn’t finish it. They charged for service charge 10% and vat 7%. It took eternity for the staffs to come. They will never get my money again.
Taeya I — Google review
Both the food and the service were absolutely terrible. Service: forgot two dishes, made mistakes in other two. Food: lasagna was horrific, worst I’ve ever had. Lamb chops were terrible. Burger was way overcooked. The rest was mediocre.
Ophir R — Google review
Not cheap but the ambiance was good during lunch time even on holidays. The taste was ok using a little better ingredients imo. VAT&SC will be charged.
U. X — Google review
Worst bar we visited in Thailand. Staff were so slow, the cocktails were pricey, lazily made with no effort and tasted frankly rubbish. There’s no music playing. It’s the most beautiful location and should be the most popular bar around but it’s managed terribly, has no atmosphere and is rinsing customers simply because of its good sunset view. It should be avoided at all cost. Sitting on the beach with a drink bought from the shop is far more satisfying and atmospheric. We made a big mistake coming here so please don’t repeat it!

Kamar Bar is a spacious and inviting spot that offers a diverse menu, but their grilled chicken stands out as a must-try dish. Visitors have raved about the exquisite flavor of the chicken, making it a top choice for non-vegetarians. Additionally, the bar is known for its great vibe, comfortable seating, and impressive cocktail selection. Guests can also enjoy music in a relaxed atmosphere while being able to order from the nearby BBQ place.
According to the staff, they serve the best grilled chicken in Thailand. We did not try them all, but is was really good!

Pizza is very thin but still good. We realized they wouldn't take our order unless we flagged them down so we sat for a long time waiting to do that and then again waiting to pay. Pizza took forever bc of other orders and we regretted not getting the bbq chicken because it looked delicious EDIT: went back the next day for lunch and got the grilled chicken-it was delicious. We didn't stop here because they were making BBQ chicken outside and it looked great. We ordered a chicken with white rice. Delicious food! The service was great. Highly recommend.

Chicken was great. They didn’t bring my rice and prawn at the same time. Prawn came 25 mins after the rice, and the prawn was undercooked. Ruined the whole eating experience. If I order prawn and fried rice, don’t bring the rice 25 mins before the prawn and have it sitting there, bring everything together. Chicken was good though.

Waited ages for the food, guy dowstairs cooking the chicken was coughing loudly with his mouth open. I ordered the chicken satay and it was disappointing, smallest chicken satay Ive had in Thailand and 150 baht. Better food in Ao Nang.

Food is decent, but spring rolls were served cold. Service itself took over an hour while the restaurant wasn't even half filled. On top of that they accidentally gave half our order to another table, resulting in half the table getting food 30 minutes after the other half. Not many classy places in Ao Nang! But this is one of them… Beautiful restaurant, great service and exquisite food. If you want a break from Ao Nangs cheap and tacky please come here!!! Tasteful and delicious… a little peace of Italian bliss.. and wine list best I’ve had in Thailand !!!

We landed this evening and were looking for a good, quiet restaurant. What a delight it was to find this place – it offers excellent service with warmth and professionalism. The place is beautiful, clean, and has jazz music playing softly in the background. The portions are huge and delicious – consider yourselves warned! I had an outstanding Italian fish soup. I really tried to finish it, but the portion was just too big. My son had Pad See Ew with plenty of chicken pieces – his dish was also large and very tasty. The salads were fresh and carefully prepared. The prices are fair. Don’t miss out – with the check, we received a treasure chest filled with chocolates to sweeten the rest of our evening

We decided to try this place as it’s always busy when we walk past – what a mistake. For a restaurant with such a lovely setting and higher prices, you’d expect the food to be of a good standard, but it was very disappointing. I ordered the lasagna and it was completely dry, with barely a spoonful of beef in the whole dish – basically just pasta and cheese I left half of my dish as it was so dry and unpleasant. The carbonara wasn’t much better, far too salty and really unpleasant. Very underwhelmed with the whole experience and sadly wouldn’t recommend.

Dodgy place and worst meal in Thailand by a long shot. Papaya salad so salty it was inedible. Chicken satay looked microwaved and served with sweet chilli sauce from bottle. When I asked for satay sauce they put crushed peanuts on top of more sweet chilli sauce. BBQ shrimp were tiny and expensive compared to other places. They forgot my daughter’s drink and our rice. Bill included rice and overcharged for satay. Oh and toilet doesn’t flush. Just hoping we don’t get sick! Avoid at all costs.

The drinks are highlighted for being not overly sweet and enjoyable.
The mammoth wraps are huge and very well priced considering what you get. Also super tasty. Their drinks are not filled with sugar and are also great! We had the 1 stop kebab wrap and the passion fruit drink. Both were delicious!

Waned to drink something healthy, I order strawberry smoothie, the guy says: with strawberry and yogurt right? I say yes, assuming this is the only thing in the smoothie, but he start filling it up with plenty of ice, water, yogurt, water with sugar ( which I did not want and I wasn't asked for) and 3 strawberries.... The guy says that strawberries have no much flavor so it is better to add some sugar.... Hello? Of course if you put 3 strawberries and the rest is mainly water.... Off course it is going to be tasteless.... Even with sugar it taste like water with a bit of strawberry syrup.... And the strawberries were not fresh... They were in a plástic tray like unfrozen or something with red liquid

Flame Tree Restaurant offers a variety of reasonably priced dishes, with meals ranging from 100 Baht to 300 Baht or more. The restaurant provides great drinks and a fantastic view at sundown. While some patrons enjoyed the coconut curry and fried rice in pineapple, others found the portion sizes smaller than expected. Despite longer wait times for food, especially for burgers, the staff is friendly and skilled at making cocktails that complement the beautiful sunsets.
Great place for sundowners! First time we sat at the bar, the second time they gave us mats so we could sit on the beach and enjoy the sunset.

Great taste, reasonable price, next to beach 💫 Rottee (with Mango) was delicious 👌highly recommended 👍🏻

The Friendship Restaurant is a pleasant location to enjoy a meal or refreshment. The staff members are amiable and eager to assist you. The cuisine served is fresh and delectable, particularly the tom yum goong or vegetable coconut curry soup which come recommended. While alcoholic beverages may not be offered, if you politely inquire, there is a nearby mini mart where you can acquire your own for your dining experience.
We had dinner at Friendship Restaurant during our stay on the beach. They had the best mango sticky rice we tried while visiting. Super quick service and happy with our food as well.

Cheap but tasty food with a great view. Service was quick, staff were attentive, overall a good experience. Had chicken fried rice with a watermelon 🍉 shake for less than 200 baht.
Canazian G — Google review
The chicken was dry, pad Thai was not heated enough. Besides that had some good fruit shakes and springrolls and got to enjoy a cool views. Not sure if i would go again, probably not for the food if completely honest
Unknownmoves — Google review
Good food. Average pricing about 300 bhat per person for a main, pancake and drink. We had the green curry and panang curry, followed by roti/pancake. The upstairs has a difference ambiance with views to the sea. It’s rustic.

Very good food, quick and very friendly service. Juice from fresh fruit, beer perfectly cold. No any issue for us.

Nice spot to sit and have dinner or a drink. Staff was very friendly and happy to serve you. The food was fresh and delicious, I recommend the tom yum goong or vegetable coconut curry soup. I don't think they serve booze there so you are friendly and ask nicely you can go to a mini mart next door and buy your own for your meal. Meal was 240 baht for 2 people (+ 90 baht for the tall Chang purchased next door) :)
Mathew G — Google review
Food is good, for a reasonable price. Bbq chicken and corn are recommended. Service is ok, but could be a bit more enthousiastic. We asked for little spicy, but got a 'Thai normal' spicy curry

I had friend rice yesterday which was not the best fried rice I’ve had in Thailand but the iced cappuccino I had was pretty good. The view is very nice though

Restaurant
Coco 2004 Restaurant is a budget-friendly Thai eatery with a wide array of menu options. The restaurant offers great service and reasonable prices, making it an inviting choice for visitors. While the food may not be the absolute best in Railay, it is fresh and satisfying. One unique dish to try is the curry served inside a coconut, which adds an interesting twist to the dining experience.
We loved this place so much. We ate here twice during our stay in Railay. The fresh fish and mussels were our favorite. I know some of these reviews say the food is just ok but i think it’s because they ordered the wrong thing. You can’t go wrong with fresh fish!
Ely C — Google review
Some Suff here should be more friendly with the customers. The smiley in the face is missing, not like in the others locals there. We were here twice now and the first time the food was okay, I liked the shrimps. The second time the food was not that good. I ordered a burrito beef and was not cooked completely I would say so was not that delicious. The fries are very bad taste like nothing. Spaghetti garlic and black olives was good the first time but the second time we ordered it because the portions are too small wasn’t good like the first time. Good thing is this time become some we became Spring roll on the house. The drinks are pretty good. You have to try it by yourself but in my opinion they have to change the chef 👨‍🍳.
Tommy — Google review
Decent restaurant with good but not exceptional food. Good view of walking street from upstairs. Service was "relaxed." Handicap ♿️ possible but upstairs would be difficult. Prices inexpensive.
Markus “ — Google review
Good food on island in reasonable price. Good services, fan provided and also gave us an unexpected complimentary spring roll dish
Jan J — Google review
A restaurant to try real southern Thai cuisine. Also as a bonus, especially if you have children, they have many western dishes. The Thai food was great and so was the western food especially the Texmex. The ambience of the place was super cool. The staff were super friendly and on the second floor there was a breeze keeping things cool. Beer wasn't expensive. I totally recommend this place.
Jeffy J — Google review
Very tasty and fresh food. We came in a couple of times and had mostly fish, and they did not disappoint. Price is affordable too considering you are in a remote part of Ao Nang. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Débora B — Google review
The price is reasonable, cheaper than the beach walking street. The venue is spacious, most people sit on 2nd floor so 1st floor look empty. But almost fulled on 3nd floor. The menu is variable Thai food, Western food. My food also spacial and yummy. I order Pad Staw Prawn with shrimp paste. 🍤🌶️🌶️

Absolutely amazing!! We came here 4 times, we kept coming back as the food as great but the staff were so friendly. The prices were very very good as well. I’m sad to leave Railay today, as this means I won’t go back to the restaurant tomorrow!!

Restaurant
"Local Thai Food Restaurant" is a popular dining spot known for its incredible and flavorful dishes at fair prices. The restaurant offers a great environment and good service, although it can get quite busy leading to longer wait times. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its delicious and fresh local Thai cuisine, with a diverse menu catering to various tastes. The establishment has received positive feedback for its hospitality and refreshing beverages like green tea with milk and ice.
This local Thai food restaurant in Railay is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly flavorful, and every dish exceeded our expectations. We ordered coconut water, mango sticky rice, fried rice with egg, and veg fried rice with green curry, and each item was a delight. The coconut water was refreshing, served chilled and perfect for the tropical weather. The mango sticky rice was the highlight of our meal—sweet, creamy, and absolutely authentic. The fried rice with egg was simple yet delicious, cooked perfectly with the right balance of seasoning. The veg fried rice with green curry was bursting with flavors; the curry was rich and aromatic, pairing wonderfully with the rice. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and laid-back, with a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff were polite and attentive, ensuring we had a pleasant dining experience. Prices were reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the food. If you're in Railay and craving authentic Thai flavors, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and decided to sit down because we were drawn to the fruit displayed outside and the spacious, airy atmosphere. The service was good, and the food was delicious. We also had two fruit shakes, which were exquisite. While we were eating, we could see monkeys playing on the cables outside—it was a wonderful experience.
Giada G — Google review
Excellent food for similar prices to other places on the street. Ate here twice during our stay at Railay. The neighboring restaurant always seemed to be full compared to this one, but both times we ate here the food was delicious.
Andrew D — Google review
From the moment we stepped in, this restaurant in Ao Krabi had us hooked. The food here isn’t just cooked — it’s crafted. Everything is prepared fresh, with bold, vibrant Thai spices that hit just the right notes: fragrant, spicy, tangy, and comforting all at once. Whether you’re craving fiery local dishes like tom yum or green curry, or feeling like something more familiar from home — the Western options are made with the same love and quality. Think juicy grilled meats, crisp salads, and beautifully balanced pasta — but done with an extra touch that makes it stand out. What really sets this place apart is the authenticity. The chefs clearly know what they’re doing — herbs, chilies, aromatics — it’s like they captured the soul of Thailand in each bite. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and laid-back, making it perfect whether you’re on vacation or just need that genuine taste of Thai warmth (and flavor!). If you find yourself in Ao Krabi — do not miss this restaurant. It’s a rare spot where Thai tradition and true craftsmanship meet food that makes your mouth water. Highly, highly recommended.

Very good Thai food and the team was very kind. Our favorite Thai restaurant in Railay. We really liked the fried fish (fresh) and panang curry.

Food here is amazing and great value for money. We have ate here for almost every meal whilst been here. Highly recommend. Cocktails are great too.

The Pad Thai was well seasoned, however, some of the beef pieces were a bit tough. I have had the opportunity to taste better mango sticky rice on my trip to Thailand.

Friendly and attentive service albeit slower during peak hour, delicious food especially the coconut seafood curry I'd come back to this island just to eat it again. Reasonably priced menu

Restaurant
Samonsi Pad Thai is a cozy little cafe located near West Railay Beach, offering a diverse menu with affordable options. The meals range from European-style dishes to authentic Thai cuisine. Visitors can enjoy a variety of delicious options, including fruit plates, Thai pancakes with banana and peanut butter, and refreshing matcha tea. The portion sizes are generous, particularly for meat-based dishes commonly found in Thailand. In addition to the satisfying food, the cafe also serves delightful juices and shakes.
This place is amazing! The menu has a very wide variety of options with Thai food as well as western food options. The spring rolls were delicious, and the fried chicken burgers and fries were good. We also got the Nutella and banana pancake which was so so good. The staff there are so lovely as well. Definitely recommend coming here as they have everything and it's easy to grab something while passing through walking street.
Malia P — Google review
Good service but unfortunately the shake wasn’t what we were expecting. Just ice. No fruit flavour. No sweet. Very watery. The mango Nutella pancake wasn’t good neither, full of oil and mango no sweet. Sorry but we don’t recommend this place for shakes and pancakes!! :(

We had lunch here and we loved it. The place was good but unfortunately I got sick after eating there. I don't know what happened, but I'm very sick to my belly.

If you’re staying in Railay, this spot is a must-visit. Their chicken krapow (Thai basil chicken) is hands down one of the best I’ve had. Tip: order it with an omelette—that’s how I always had it—and if you enjoy spice 🌶️, just say so and they’ll make it perfectly hot. We ended up eating here at least once or twice a day throughout our stay. The staff are friendly, and even with takeaways they’d have everything ready on time. Packaging is neat, and they provide proper cutlery so you can eat anywhere. On top of that, in the whole market lane this place is the most reasonably priced restaurant you’ll find. Great food, fair prices, and good people. Definitely worth a visit (or a few).
Ankit R — Google review
Was craving for some more western food after 2 weeks of Thai food. Reviews rating wasn’t great but still gave it a try. Had the double cheeseburger which turned out to be quite good, ingredients tasted fresh. My girlfriend had noodles in gravy sauce which she said were very good ( she’s Thai). We also had fried calamari but this unfortunately it’s a big no as quite hard and oily. So if like me you craving for some non Thai or Asian food, burgers here are a good option
A B — Google review
the food had a long hair it. The chicken pad Thai was also really bad. For some reason had beef in it. Most of the noodles burnt. The mango smoothie was just flavoured water. Such a rip off.
Gracie B — Google review
The food was okay, the service was excellent, portion of the dishes were small

Nice food, smoothies and desserts. Very cheap and in a great location by the beach. Go past the busy streets and come here. It’s easy to get dragged into the restaurants further up!

If you're on the hunt for a delicious pizza experience, look no further than Railay Story. This charming eatery specializes in real wood-fired pizzas that are baked fresh to order, ensuring every bite is bursting with flavor. With two floors available, you can enjoy your meal upstairs while taking in lovely views of the surroundings. The extensive menu also features quick-cooking appetizers that pair perfectly with their signature pizzas.
Great roast chicken is THE reason to hit Railay Story up. Chicken man was touting this restaurant's roast chicken and he was right on. The roast chicken was some of the juiciest roast chicken I've had. Roasted to perfection 👌. Prices are reasonable. Handicap possible except upstairs. Restrooms 🚻???? Final take...Highly recommended for the roast chicken.

Good food, we ordered a marinara pizza, penang, vegetarian pizza and prosciutto pizza. A bit pricey at 360 baht per person for quite simple food, but I guess those are Railay beach prices. Service was pretty standard, polite and not overbearing.
Sahil S — Google review
절대 가지마세요. 재료는 너무 신선도가 떨어지고, 맛도 없고 늦게 나옵니다. The worst pizza we ever had! We were attracted by the sign saying wood fire pizza, but it was such a disappointment. There was barely cheese on the pizza (Shouldn’t call it pizza), with just few pieces of ham. It was supposed to be bacon. I also had shrimp fried rice, the shrimp tasted so bad. There were only 2 tables occupied including ours, but it took 20min until I got my dish..

Great pizza in Railey! If from time to time you want that ‘home’ feeling and need a rest from always delicious Thai food, this is the place to have a slice of pizza with a beer
*M * — Google review
Real wood fired pizza, baked fresh. Great place to come to if you’re craving pizza. There’s two floors so you can sit upstairs for a nice view if you dine in. They make the pizza fresh and have an extensive menu. I recommend ordering appetizers since those are cooked quickly and separately. The pizzas do take a little while since they literally bake them from scratch, especially if there is a large group before you.
Nan H — Google review
The marinara from the pizza was not nice, considering it’s mostly a pizza cafe they should have that flavour perfected. There was no music, just from nearby cannabis cafes. Also just a general comment about all restaurants in Krabi, is why is the staff not cleaning and just sitting while waiting for customers. I’ll never understand that. Especially as I worked in cafes in Ireland we were always cleaning in between and these cafes definitely need it.
Kornelia D — Google review
Excellent. Real wood fired oven, temperature gets up to 700 Fahrenheit, good quality ingredients, that I mention a real wood fired oven? Must visit. (BTW if you like this, I've got great food videos, google or you tube search CuisineQuest!)

I had a thin crust pizza and a mango smoothie. Sure, it’s not Italian pizza but it was still very tasty. Service was quick and the staff was very friendly.
