Beach
Rawai Beach, situated at the southernmost tip of Phuket, is a popular destination known for its fishing boats, picturesque views, and seaside dining options. It has been a tourist attraction since the early days of Phuket's tourism industry. The area is home to numerous hotels and restaurants offering delicious Thai and European cuisine at reasonable prices. Additionally, Rawai Beach provides easy access to Nai Harn Beach through a complimentary shuttle service.
Quite place. Not overly populated (some areas still are in low season). Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, convenience, and souvenir stores. Public benches are available to use. Beautiful panoramic views.
Rema H — Google review
It’s having rustic shoreline dotted with long-tail boats, it also offers shaded areas and scenic seaside vistas. It offers seating area with breezy views.
Monalisa G — Google review
We had an evening stroll to the Rawai beach pier. The beach during low tide conditions was a place where kids hunted for exotic shells. A tour boat returned with a boatful of sightseers, mostly Indian tourists. The pier is not far from where we had stayed — the Meet Holiday Hotel hence the walk.
Jane B — Google review
Six or seven years ago, Rawai was a very quiet place with not much to explore, especially at night. Back then, by around 8 or 9 PM, it would already be quite dark and quiet. But now, things have really changed. They’ve developed a lot more nightlife in the area. There’s a shopping center called Maxwell, and more bars and restaurants have opened near the beach. This has made Rawai a much more lively and enjoyable place to visit in the evenings. To be honest, I think spending time here with family is even better than going to Patong. I fell in love with Rawai from the first time I visited—and I still love it just as much today.
Thanutchaknowles — Google review
A calm and local-style beach area in southern Phuket. It’s not ideal for swimming because most of the shore is lined with fishing and long-tail boats, but it’s a great place to enjoy fresh seafood and experience a more traditional side of the island. The beachfront has many small restaurants where you can pick fresh fish and have it cooked on the spot. Boats to Coral, Bon, and Racha islands also leave from here, making it a good starting point for short island trips. Pros: Good for local seafood and island-hopping. Less touristy and peaceful atmosphere. Nice sea view with nearby islands visible. Cons: Not suitable for swimming. Beach can get busy with boats. Fewer nightlife or entertainment options nearby.
Akhil R — Google review
Rawai Beach is one of my favorite spots in Phuket. It’s exceptionally beautiful and impeccably clean, offering a delightful escape from the everyday. Along the beach, you’ll find a variety of charming restaurants serving delicious cuisine. On hot days, the refreshing breeze at Rawai Bridge provides a welcome reprieve. I highly recommend visiting Rawai Beach if you’re planning a trip to Phuket
Tharaphi ( — Google review
Absolutely lovely view over the ocean. The beach is awesome. The way into the water is really flat. So you can walk out far away into the water. Drinks and food was definetely not missing. I would highly recommend it.
Justin U — Google review
This beach is subject to very high tides! - * Keep an eye on the tides in the app. The beach is located along the road and is quite noisy from passing cars and motorcycles! The length of the beach is approximately 2 kilometers - it is a large beach. The flora here is made up of mixed species of trees, with a predominance of coniferous casuarinas. The beach is not very popular with beach lovers (and understandably so), but it is very popular with lovers of fresh fish, sea delicacies and those people who like to eat good food! Depending on the season, the sea begins to move rapidly away from the shore exposing the rocks and those who live underneath them. A large number of crabs, hermit crabs and other sea creatures are found on the surface. The sand here is hard, representing a stony crumb. The depth of the entrance to the sea will depend on the time of day! The water in the sea is not the most transparent. Full information with video and easy navigation - in the app 👉 PHUKETON

Lookouts
Promthep Cape, located at the southern tip of Phuket, is a picturesque lookout point renowned for its breathtaking sea views, especially during sunset. While it may be a bit challenging to access without a car, the panoramic vistas of the Andaman Sea make it worth the effort. This remote location offers a less crowded alternative to other popular spots on the island.
Promthep Cape is definitely one of the better spots in Phuket to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The view from here is wide and open, giving you a clear angle of the sea and horizon as the sun sets, creating a stunning atmosphere. It’s a place where you can simply sit, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty without any rush. The cool breeze and calm surroundings make it even more pleasant. I would highly recommend visiting this spot in the evening, just before sunset, to get the best experience. During that time, the colors in the sky are at their most vibrant, and the whole area feels magical. It’s also less harsh compared to the daytime sun, so it’s more comfortable to spend some time here. If you’re in Phuket and want to enjoy a peaceful yet memorable sunset, Promthep Cape is definitely worth the visit.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🎥 After watching the Thai 🇹🇭 drama series "I Told Sunset About You" in 2020 during the Covid outbreak, Promthep Cape has been on my bucket list for Phuket ever since. 🌅 Now that I finally had the opportunity to travel to Phuket, I visited Promthep Cape this evening and was able to see the stunning sunset while hiking on the hill. ⏰ I left Patong at 4 PM using Grab and arrived by 5 PM. I took some photos around the area and then gathered the courage to follow others down to the coast, as sunset occurs around 6 to 6:15 PM. After the sunset, it's important to head back up quickly because it gets dark very fast. I took a short break before catching a public bus that happened to be returning town, which only cost 100 THB. 📌 Note: The hike took me about 10+ minutes from the top to the coast. Be sure to wear shoes with good grip, and make sure your legs are strong enough to go down and come back up; you'll need that energy. Also, be aware that there are no proper paths (no stairs), so you need to be extra cautious. 🌈 This is a special moment in my life — I’m grateful to the Creator of All That Is 🪐 for His beautiful creation, and I’m thankful to have witnessed this moment in my lifetime. If I return to Phuket, I will definitely come back here! 📸 Photos took on 24 September 2025.

Promthep Cape (Laem Phromthep) is a scenic viewpoint at the southernmost tip of Phuket, Thailand, famous for its panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, especially at sunset. Visitors can enjoy the views from the elevated viewpoint, which features a lighthouse with a small maritime museum and a shrine with many elephant statues. Shops selling souvenirs and snacks are located near the parking area, and a more rugged path leads down to the end of the cape.
Khaled M — Google review
A must-see if you’re exploring the south of Phuket. The view from the cape is simply breathtaking — endless ocean, small islands in the distance, and a golden light at sunset that’s hard to forget. It can get busy, but it’s still one of those places that captures the magic of the island. We love arriving by e-bike just before golden hour. Quiet, powerful, timeless. 🌅🌴

The best sunset 🌅 view point “It was such a breathtaking and heartwarming moment. The sky slowly changed from golden to pink and then to a soft purple as the sun disappeared behind the horizon. The peaceful breeze and calm atmosphere made me feel like time had stopped for a while. It’s one of those scenes you wish could last forever. I’d definitely love to come back and watch it again. 💖”

Promthep Cape (แหลมพรหมเทพ) is one of Phuket’s most iconic sunset spots — a breathtaking viewpoint where the sky turns golden and the sea glows beautifully at the end of the day. The panoramic views, gentle sea breeze, and relaxed atmosphere make it a perfect place to pause, enjoy nature’s beauty, and capture unforgettable photos. A must-visit landmark that truly showcases Phuket at its finest! 🌅✨
Hakh82 — Google review
Promthep Cape is one of the best spots in Phuket to watch the sunset 🌅. The view is magical, with the ocean stretching endlessly and the sky changing colors every minute. It does get a bit crowded, but honestly the atmosphere is so lively it feels part of the experience. I ended up just sitting on the rocks, enjoying the breeze and laughing at myself for trying to take 100 sunset photos when every single one already looked perfect 😅📸. Truly a must-visit—sunset here is unforgettable!
Souad Y — Google review
Promthep Cape is one of the best sunset spots in Phuket! The view of the Andaman Sea is just stunning, with the sky turning golden and pink as the sun goes down. It can get a bit crowded, but the vibe is super chill and worth it. If you love photography or just want to sit back and take in the beauty, this place is perfect.

Outdoor Activities
Yanui Beach, located on the west coast of Phuket just south of Nai Harn, is a small and secluded sandy beach surrounded by trees. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers a serene atmosphere for activities like snorkeling and kayaking, especially during sunset. The beach is known for its clear waters and beautiful views of nearby islands. It's considered an ideal spot for families seeking a peaceful retreat away from the busier beaches on Phuket's main island.
Beautiful beach and great spot to see some fish and do snorkeling with kids. Sometimes plastic is shored, but there are Thais working on cleaning it constantly, with a rake...
Mistaken Π — Google review
A gorgeous beach which is fabulous for snorkelling with wonderful fish a couple of metres from the waters edge but the downside is the rubbish floating in the water which is so sad to see.
David J — Google review
It’s very beautiful here. But a lot of sharp big rocks in the sand. Many friendly dogs 🐕
Daniel S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful beach with crystal-clear water and soft sand. 🌊🌴 Perfect spot for swimming, relaxing, and photography — every angle looks stunning! 📸 Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful vibes, ideal for a quiet getaway. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Phuket — a true hidden gem!
Faiz Y — Google review
My visit to Yanui Beach in Phuket was a delightful escape from the island’s busier spots. Tucked between Windmill Viewpoint and Promthep Cape, this small, crescent-shaped cove offers soft golden sand and clear, turquoise waters perfect for a serene day out. Arriving early via Bolt from Kata (15-minute ride, with 250-400 THB), the beach was tranquil, with hardly any crowds. Snorkeling around the northern headland and rocky promontory was fantastic, vibrant corals and fish abound, with gear rentals at 100 THB. Kayaking to Koh Man, a nearby island, was a highlight for just 100-150 THB/hour. The beach’s laid-back vibe, framed by lush hills, is ideal for families and couples. Two small restaurants across the road, like Royros, serve tasty Thai dishes (200 THB) and refreshing coconut drinks. However, litter in the water was noticeable, and low tide exposes rocks, making swimming tricky. No sunbeds or umbrellas keep it unspoiled, but bring a towel for shade under trees. Parking is limited, so arrive early. Despite minor drawbacks, Yanui’s charm and proximity to stunning viewpoints make it a must-visit for a peaceful Phuket beach day.
Atul H — Google review
Yanui Beach is a small but incredibly charming spot in Phuket — a cozy bay with calm turquoise water, soft sand, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It’s perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, or just unwinding away from the big crowds. The rocks and small island nearby make it great for beautiful photos, and the sunset views are truly special. A lovely hidden gem that’s definitely worth visiting! 🌊✨
Hakh82 — Google review
So beautiful beach to visit, unfortunately it was not so clean snd also it is kinda small
Shabnam A — Google review
Yanui Beach is one of those small, hidden corners in Phuket that instantly makes you slow down. I’ve been there several times, and every time it feels like stepping into a postcard — turquoise water, soft sand, and that gentle, peaceful energy that’s often missing at the bigger beaches like Kata or Patong. It’s a compact bay, tucked between Promthep Cape and Windmill Viewpoint, and you can actually see both if you swim out a little or paddle on a kayak. What I like most about Yanui is the atmosphere. There are usually a few families, some snorkelers, and travelers who just want to relax — no loud music or beach clubs, just nature and the sound of waves. The snorkeling here is surprisingly good, especially around the rocks and the small island just 200 meters offshore. I’ve spotted colorful fish, sea urchins, and even a few little octopuses there. There’s also a local vibe — small food stalls, Thai grilled chicken, coconut shakes, and a few kayak rentals. Parking is easy, and the beach is perfect for a sunset swim before heading up to Promthep for the view. For me, Yanui isn’t about luxury or crowds; it’s about simplicity — sun, salt, and peace. One of the few beaches in Phuket where time really feels like it stands still. Highly recommend you to visit 🔥👍

Nestled in the heart of Phuket, Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, is a stunning temple complex that dates back to the early 19th century. This sacred site is adorned with intricate Buddha paintings and shimmering golden statues, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens that invite tranquility. The temple holds significant historical importance for the local community, particularly due to its association with Luangpho Chaem—a revered monk known for his mastery in meditation and traditional medicine.
Wat Chalong is one of the most famous temples in Phuket and a must-visit tourist attraction. The temple complex is beautifully designed, with intricate details and traditional Thai architecture that instantly captures your attention. From the moment you enter, you can feel the cultural and spiritual significance of the place. One of the best things about Wat Chalong is how photogenic it is. The vibrant colors, detailed carvings, and grand structures make it a perfect spot for photography and videography. Whether you are capturing wide-angle shots of the temple grounds or focusing on the finer details of the statues and decorations, every corner offers a great backdrop. It’s equally beautiful during the day when the sunlight highlights the temple’s golden features, and in the evening when the atmosphere feels more serene. The temple grounds are spacious, allowing you to explore different buildings and statues at your own pace. You’ll often see visitors taking pictures, families walking around, and travelers simply soaking in the spiritual ambiance. Despite being popular, it maintains a calm and respectful environment, which adds to the overall experience. Since it’s a well-known tourist spot, it can get busy, especially during peak hours. However, the sheer beauty of the architecture and the peaceful feeling make it worth the visit. Overall, Wat Chalong is not just a spiritual landmark but also a wonderful location for photography and videography. If you’re in Phuket, this is definitely one of the top attractions you shouldn’t miss.

Beautiful and Peaceful Temple in Phuket Wat Chalong is truly one of the most beautiful and spiritually calming places in Phuket. The temple grounds are very clean and well-maintained, with stunning architecture and intricate details that reflect true Thai craftsmanship. The atmosphere is peaceful, even though it can get busy with visitors—there’s still a strong sense of serenity and respect throughout the area. The main pagoda (Chedi) is impressive and offers a wonderful view from the upper floor. Inside, you can see relics of the Buddha and many fascinating murals that tell stories from his life. It’s a great place to learn more about Thai culture and Buddhism, whether you’re a believer or simply curious. Remember to dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering the temples—it’s a sign of respect. Overall, Wat Chalong is a must-visit if you’re in Phuket. It’s not just a tourist spot but also a meaningful cultural and spiritual experience.

A Peaceful and Spiritual Gem in Phuket Wat Chalong is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained temples in Phuket. The temple complex is grand yet peaceful, with stunning architecture, colorful decorations, and intricate details that reflect Thai culture and spirituality. The main pagoda is especially impressive — it houses a relic of the Buddha and offers a lovely view from the top. Even though it’s a popular tourist spot, the atmosphere remains calm and respectful. The grounds are clean, the gardens are well-kept, and there are monks around offering blessings. It’s a great place to learn about local traditions, take beautiful photos, and spend a quiet moment away from the busy beaches. Definitely a must-visit attraction when you’re in Phuket!
Rakesh G — Google review
We visited Wat Chalong Temple on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). The temple was one of the highlights of our trip. The entire premises were very clean and well maintained, with beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings. Wat Chalong is one of the most respected temples in Phuket and holds great importance in Thai culture. It’s dedicated to two highly revered monks, Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang, who played a key role in helping local people during the 19th-century rebellion. Their images are still worshipped here, and many locals visit to seek blessings for good health and peace. There are some shops inside the temple compound where you can buy souvenirs and local handicrafts at reasonable prices. Even our kids enjoyed exploring the temple grounds and the market area. Overall, Wat Chalong offers a blend of history, spirituality, and calm—definitely worth visiting when in Phuket. No charges for visiting this awesome place.
Pankaj A — Google review
This place has really great view and the surroundings is also calm and quiet. Inside it has paintings of stories of King Siddharth becoming Buddha but in thai. Idols are also beautiful but some are not understandable. The view from the window is so scenic. Good place to relax your mind ..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wat Chalong is a truly remarkable temple and a must-visit in Phuket. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of peace and positive energy. Its intricate architecture, golden Buddha statues, and colorful murals beautifully reflect Thai faith and culture. The temple grounds are spacious, clean, and inviting — perfect for quiet reflection, prayer, or making merit. Locals are kind and welcoming, making the experience even more meaningful. Whether you’re returning an amulet, lighting incense, or simply admiring the artistry, Wat Chalong radiates serenity and devotion. A deeply spiritual and memorable visit.

Of all of them, Wat Chalong is the largest and perhaps the most revered temple. Located eight kilometers outside Phuket Town, the temple sits, awaiting your arrival to discover its magnificence both spiritually and architecturally. The temple is renowned for its stunning architecture, which features intricate decorations and multiple pagodas. It is dedicated to two highly revered monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who were instrumental in healing locals during a 19th-century rebellion. The temple's grand pagoda houses a sacred relic, a fragment of bone from the Buddha. Visitors are expected to dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the temple buildings.
Dark M — Google review
Wat Chalong is one of the most beautiful and important temples in Phuket. There’s convenient parking available just before the temple area, making it easy to visit. Visitors should dress modestly — shoulders and knees should be covered — as it’s an active place of worship. The temple grounds are peaceful and beautifully decorated, offering a truly pleasant and spiritual experience. It is free to visit as well! :)

The Big Buddha, officially known as "Phraphutthamingmongkhol-akenagakhiri Buddha," stands majestically at 45 meters tall atop Nakerd Mountain in Phuket. This stunning white marble statue is not only a significant religious site but also offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including Phuket Town and Chalong Bay. The journey to this iconic landmark is made easy with well-paved roads, despite some winding curves.
It is still closed when I am visiting it in July 2025. But the view near the Big Budha is really beautiful!!! And it is free. There is like a park for elephants. You can pay if you want to feed the elephants or ride the elephants. But it is better if you choose not to ride the elephants.

**Visted last week, It was closed temporarily due to land slide** 🙏 A majestic 45 m white-marble statue offering stunning island views from Nakkerd Hill. 🌅 Peaceful, spiritual, and perfect for photos. It was raining and foggy, weather was Nice and it is partly uphill, so visit early or at sunset. 🛕 Dress modestly—shoulders and knees covered. Some areas may be restricted, but still worth a visit for the views and calm vibe.

Even though The Big Buddha is currently closed, it’s still absolutely worth the visit — you can easily reach the parking area, which offers an astonishing panoramic view over the whole of Phuket, with a peaceful breeze and perfect photo spots. The road going up is also very pleasant, lined with small local businesses, cozy roadside cafés, and even a few elephant owners along the way, giving the whole trip a very authentic and charming local feel. You’ll also often find playful monkeys near the top, adding extra excitement to the experience 🐒🌿 A beautiful and memorable stop in Phuket!

The Big Buddha of Phuket is truly breathtaking. Sitting high on Nakkerd Hill and facing the ocean, the statue offers stunning panoramic views of the island and the Andaman Sea. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritual — a perfect place for quiet reflection away from the busy beaches. The statue itself is impressive in size and beautifully crafted in white marble, shining brightly in the sunlight. A must-see landmark that captures both the beauty and serenity of Phuket.

The temple is not accessible for the moment due to an earth slide. We drove up to site anyways where we got a look at the side of the Buddah. It has monkeys and chickens in the parking lot which were the better reason for taking pictures. On the way up to the temple is an elephant tourist attraction with baby elephants separated from their family, chained to the ground and fenced off. All elephants showed stereotypes. We didn't stop for that animal abuse of course, I'm just mentioning it as it outrages me to still see such places being visited and suppoted by ignorant tourists.

Rate for the scenery where you can get Phuket city view one side and ocean view the other. Pity that the way up to The Big Buddha is closed for renovation until further notice… which is unknown.

We couldn’t get all the way up to the Buddha because of a landslide, which was a bit of an anticlimax, but the view was nice and there were some funny monkeys messing with the visitors. Luckily, the girl with the slingshot was nearby

Very beautiful beach to relax and snorkel. The water is clear and good for swimming. You can get a long boat from Rawai beach and spend the whole day chilling by the beach. You need to pay 100 thb per person to enter the beach. You get access to the beach and chairs to relax. There is a bar, restaurant, and toilets at the beach.
Ananth R — Google review
It's mass tourism but well done. It's possible to just stroll on the beach and enjoy swimming completely free, and the beach clubs also have all modern amenities you can expect if you prefer to sit in comfort, with music, food and drinks brought to you. Many local operators propose a 45-min boat trip to this island from Chalong because it's the nearest island. Highly recommended for a half-day trip or as part of a multiple island tour.
Gaëtan S — Google review
My visit to Coral Island in Pattaya was a memorable experience filled with natural beauty and fun activities. The island is known for its clear blue water, soft white sand, and peaceful atmosphere, which makes it a perfect escape from the busy city. The boat ride to the island was smooth and offered beautiful views of the ocean. As soon as we arrived, the environment felt refreshing and calm. There are many activities to enjoy, such as parasailing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, and snorkeling. Parasailing was especially exciting because of the stunning aerial view of the sea. The water was clean, and the beach was well-maintained. There are also several small restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood and drinks while relaxing under the shade. The staff and guides were friendly and helpful throughout the trip. They explained safety rules clearly and made the activities comfortable even for beginners. The only downside is that the island can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but the experience is still enjoyable. Overall, Coral Island is a great destination for anyone visiting Pattaya. Whether you want adventure or relaxation, the island offers a perfect mix of both. I would definitely recommend it.

Coral island was amazing! Beautiful waters, could clearly see the fish in the water that were swimming in the shallow water. A huge bar has been set up where drinks and food can be ordered. There was also chairs and tables if you want to rent (its expensive, we just used our towels). Vibe here was pretty great, would go again!

Beautiful island, small yet amazing. The water here is clear and refreshing. You can enjoy snorkelling around the shores here as well but be careful of low tides as it brings up alot of sea urchins which can cause you a great deal of pain.

Nestled between the serene Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches, Windmill Viewpoint is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. This charming spot is perfect for those seeking a peaceful sunset experience away from the crowds typically found at Promthep Cape. The iconic white windmill serves as a picturesque backdrop, making it an ideal location for photography enthusiasts. While you can visit any time of day, arriving during dusk rewards you with one of Phuket's most stunning sunsets.
Moody Skies, Magical Views – Windmill Viewpoint in the Rain Visited Windmill Viewpoint on a slightly rainy day, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and beautiful moments of my trip. Even with the overcast skies and gentle drizzle, the view was absolutely stunning. The clouds rolling over the lush green hills, the ocean shimmering in muted silver tones, and the soft breeze made the whole scene feel like a dream. There’s something so calming and cinematic about standing up there in the rain, watching nature do its thing. The spot itself is easy to reach and not too crowded (especially when the weather isn’t sunny – lucky me!). There’s a quiet energy to the place, and the windmill adds a charming touch to the landscape. If you’re in Phuket and thinking of skipping this viewpoint just because it’s not all sunshine and blue skies – don’t. The rain brings its own magic, and Windmill Viewpoint wears it beautifully.

Windmill Viewpoint in Phuket is truly one of the best hidden gems on the island. Unlike the more crowded Karon Viewpoint, this place feels underrated and far less touristy, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The view here is absolutely stunning – you get a perfect angle of the turquoise sea, the beach, and the surrounding hills, all blending into a breathtaking backdrop. What makes Windmill Viewpoint special is how clear and expansive the scenery is. It’s an ideal spot if you’re looking to take amazing photos, as the natural light, the sea view, and the quiet atmosphere all combine to create picture-perfect moments. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or just someone who loves capturing memories, this viewpoint will not disappoint. The area itself is peaceful and not too commercialized, so you can actually take your time to relax and soak in the view without rushing. It’s also a great place to sit for a while and simply enjoy the calmness and beauty of Phuket’s coastline. Overall, Windmill Viewpoint is an excellent spot that deserves more recognition. If you want a clear, beautiful view of the sea with a fantastic backdrop for photos, this is definitely the place to go.

Rawai Seafood Market is a bustling hub offering an abundance of fresh seafood options. Visitors can explore the market stalls showcasing a variety of catches, from prawns and lobsters to crabs and fish, all ready to be transformed into delectable dishes. The interactive experience allows patrons to select their seafood and have it expertly prepared by skilled chefs at open-air restaurants on-site. Additionally, the market benefits the local community and family businesses.
If you want to eat fresh and delicious seafood in Phuket, then you must go to Rawai. In Rawai are many types of seafood shops in this market and there are also restaurants where you can buy seafood from the market and they will cook and serve it to you. For which you will have to pay some money. You can find different types of seafood such as,primarily fish like Salmon, Tuna, Cod, Mackerel, Herring, Snapper, Sea Bass, and Tilapia. and shellfish like mussels, clams, crabs, and shrimp, lobstar , Oysters, Squid etc
Rifat J — Google review
A bit overpriced, bust still a must do experience. You buy your seafood on one side of the road and carry it to the other side of the road to be cooked in any of the restaurants. Restaurants weigh your food and calculate your cooking fee accordingly. Usually lies anywhere around 100bhat per kilo.
Islam K — Google review
Fresh, fresh, fresh and Seafood galore. Not the most glamorous eating establishments on Phuket but if you love your Seafood 🦞, this is your place! The Soi in the market is a dirt road and generally wet and muddy so leave the good shoes at home 😁
David E — Google review
A real seafood market experience seated in tradition on the Rawai seafront. Purchase your freshly caught fish or shellfish in one side and have it cooked to your preference on the other side of the street. Highly recommend for seafood lovers.

Amazing as usual! Every time we come to Thailand - we always visit this seafood market on one of our days! Fresh oysters, lobsters, shrimps of different size! Must visit place in Phuket! And the prices are good!
Arthur B — Google review
Such a fun place to get fresh seafood. The markets are good price and the restaurants cook it for you. Just choose the sauce.
Tash G — Google review
Very good seafood market. Many types of seafoods you can choose to buy in the market. Cooking fee is very affordable cost of 3usd per kilo. Lobster’s price is not cheap and I think in the high side like other place such as HK. You must bargain with the stores to get cheaper prices for the seafood.
Jacky L — Google review
We visited Rawai Seafood Market while exploring southern Phuket, and it was a real highlight of the trip. Located right by Rawai Pier, this market is a bustling spot where you can pick your fresh seafood from local stalls and bring it across the street to a restaurant that will cook it for you on the spot. The variety of seafood was impressive—live prawns, crabs, lobsters, squid, and even exotic shellfish. Prices were clearly displayed and felt reasonable, especially compared to more touristy parts of Phuket. We picked some prawns and a fish, and had them stir-fried with garlic and chili at a restaurant just opposite the market. The experience felt local and authentic. There’s no air-conditioning or fancy seating, but the vibe is lively and real. What made it extra special was choosing our own seafood and customizing how we wanted it cooked. It’s a great way to enjoy super fresh seafood in a way that feels very Thai. Highly recommend this if you’re into food adventures and want to try something more grassroots while in Phuket. Come hungry and early for the best catch!

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of marine treasures at the Phuket Seashell Museum. Wander through a captivating collection of vibrant seashells, marveling at rare and valuable specimens meticulously showcased. Discover extraordinary finds, including the world's largest pearl and ancient clam fossils dating back almost 400 million years. It's a unique opportunity to appreciate the beauty and diversity of seashells from around the globe in an artful setting.
World-Class, Of Interest to Academic-Types and Shopping for Pearls and Rare Fossils. This collection is incredible, undoubtedly the best open to the public dealing with Indian Ocean shells. There is a self-guided tour with descriptions in Thai and English of each family of shells. I found many interesting stories, for instance that the Greek mythological golden fleece was likely from the material a large Mediterranean clam uses to bind itself to rocks. The shells are beautiful, too, so if you are with kids or have a casual interest, you could spend half an hour. Or you could spend 90 minutes as I did. The gift shop is not to be overlooked. It's huge and has a selection of top notch inexpensively priced pearls ($100-200) as well as hard to find large fossil specimens such as ammonites ($250). There are also many less expensive pieces and loose shells kids would love starting as low as 15 baht.

Kata Beach, a stunning gem on Phuket's southwest coast, is renowned for its picturesque 1.5 km stretch of soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. This idyllic location is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun. The beach is flanked by vibrant restaurants and resorts that cater to every need. Just a stone's throw away lies a community park designed for families seeking fun and relaxation away from the beach hustle.
Kata beach is one of the best surfing beaches in Phuket. Great beach even during the start of the rainy season. We have been coming here for 6 years now and it gets more beautiful and a new memorable experience each time we come.

This beach had very calm and clean waters, fine sand ideal for making sand castles and clean enough for kids to play around with. Family friendly place be it day or night. Ideal area to be with family. Very relaxed environment, beach boys selling seats to tourists, helpful people around.
Chiragi J — Google review
Kata Beach, eh? Now that’s a slice of paradise that could make any snowbird trade their toque for a snorkel. The sand’s so soft it’s like walking on sifted flour from your grandma’s kitchen, and the water’s bluer than a Saskatchewan winter sky. You dip your toes in and instantly forget what frostbite even is. We parked ourselves on the beach like a couple of seagulls with nowhere better to be, sunscreen layered thicker than poutine gravy. The waves rolled in just strong enough to keep things spicy—perfect for a quick boogie without losing your swim trunks to the sea gods. There were paddleboarders out there balancing like they’d just passed Level 10 yoga, and we’re over here trying not to spill our mango shakes. Everywhere you look, folks are smiling—locals tossing out friendly “sawasdee!”s like it’s a small-town hockey rink greeting. The sunset hit and boom, the whole sky went maple-syrup gold. Absolute beauty, bud. Then night rolled in, beach bars lit up, and the tunes kicked harder than a double-double caffeine hit. Kata Beach isn’t just a vacation—it’s a full-on beachin’ beauty, the kind of spot that makes you say, “yeah, I could hang my flip-flops here permanently, no problem, eh?”
MIke A — Google review
Kata Beach, Phuket’s understated tropical paradise. Framed against a backdrop of lush, emerald-green hills that cascade down to meet the shoreline, the image reveals a stretch of powdery white sand kissed by the Andaman Sea’s signature turquoise hues. The water’s clarity is mesmerizing, allowing glimpses of the sandy seabed below. This beach feels like a private postcard from nature itself. My own visit to Kata Beach last September aligned seamlessly with this captured tranquility. The waves were an absolute highlight: mellow yet lively, perfect for floating on my back while gazing at the endless blue sky, or timing a few exhilarating dives into their soft breaks for that refreshing thrill. They’re forgiving for beginners but carry just enough energy to keep things exciting, making every dip feel like a personal gift from the ocean. What truly stole my heart, though, was the raw, unspoiled natural beauty surrounding it all. Towering limestone cliffs draped in verdant foliage frame the bay like nature’s own artwork, while coconut palms sway lazily in the breeze, adding whispers of tropical romance. Far from the frenzy of nearby Patong, Kata offers a harmonious blend of adventure and serenity. If you’re craving a beach experience that’s equal parts invigorating and idyllic, Kata Beach in September is your answer. Less crowded, more soul-nourishing—it’s the kind of place that lingers in your dreams long after you’ve left. I can’t wait to return for more of those perfect waves and that effortless, breathtaking beauty! 🌊🏖️

Kata Beach is a popular 1.5-kilometer-long beach on the southwest coast of Phuket, Thailand, known for its soft white sand and clear water, making it ideal for both relaxation and activities. It is a lively yet laid-back destination with a range of amenities, water sports like surfing and snorkeling, and nearby attractions. The waves are calm for swimming and surfing from November to April, while the monsoon season from May to October brings rougher seas and is better for experienced surfers

We visited Karon Viewpoint on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). It was one of the most scenic stops on our trip. From the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Phuket’s famous beaches — Patong, Karon, and Kata — lined up beautifully along the coastline. On the opposite side, you can also spot the majestic Big Buddha sitting atop Nakkerd Hill, which makes the view even more impressive. Historically known as *Three Beaches Hill* or *Kata Viewpoint*, this spot has long been a popular stop for both locals and tourists to admire Phuket’s natural beauty. It’s an important landmark because it perfectly captures the island’s charm — the mix of green hills, turquoise waters, and golden beaches in one frame. The place is well maintained, with viewing platforms and shaded areas to relax and take photos. Our kids loved the open space and the fresh breeze at the top. Overall, Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the best of Phuket’s landscape and enjoy a bit of peace away from the busy beaches.

The Karon Viewpoint Thai name is Kho Sam Haad, which means ‘The Hill of the Three Beaches’, and once we reached the place, just as promised, we saw three beaches. So, if this is your first trip to Phuket, you probably will stop for a few minutes at this popular and beautiful panoramic landmark to admire the view from the top of the hill. The closest and smallest one is Kata Noi Beach. A bit further, we could see the beautiful Kata Beach with its island ‘Koh Poo’, which means Crab Island, and far, we could also spot the very long beach of Karon.

Karon Viewpoint, also known as Three Bays Viewpoint, is a must-visit spot in Phuket, Thailand. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of three stunning bays: Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon. The scenery is absolutely mesmerizing, with the turquoise waters meeting the golden sands and lush greenery. The viewpoint is easily accessible, making it a popular destination for tourists. You can take some fantastic photos here, especially during sunrise or sunset when the light is at its best. The viewpoint itself is well-maintained, with clear signs and information about the area. However, the natural beauty of this place is something we must protect. To preserve the beauty of Karon Viewpoint, it's crucial to practice responsible tourism. Always dispose of your trash properly in designated bins. Avoid littering and consider bringing your own reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste. By taking these simple steps, we can all contribute to keeping this beautiful spot pristine for future generations. Welcome 🤗

The Bon Island Restaurant is a great place to go for a tasty Thai meal overlooking the beautiful beach. The prices are high by Thai standards, but still affordable by American ones. They have excellent food and an amazing view of the ocean from their spot on the beach.

Cocktail Pina colada was great, but if you want to sit on chairs you have to pay extra even if you are buying their drinks/food. It seems ridiculous. That’s why I put 1 star for service. we understood why this restaurant was empty. They have to change the rules

When you plan to go to Thailand people tell you to go to Phi Phi, James Bond island etc.. but no one ever tells you about the quieter islands with hardly anyone on there and the nice little restaurants they have. Bon island was an unexpected surprise we asked for a Long-tail boat ride and the man took us here and I'm so glad he did. This little island is so beautiful!! The restaurant was lovely food and drinks perfect! It was so quiet and the people who work in the restaurant couldn't help you enough!! If you are around the Rawai area I would 100% recommend a Long-tail boat to this Island!!
Lois O — Google review
Two of us booked a long-tailed boat from Rawai Beach to Koh Bon (Bon island) for 9am at a cost of 1200 baht round trip, returning at 3pm. The journey is relatively short, around 10 minutes, but very scenic. On arrival we were the only tourists on the island. We felt a little like Robinsoe Crusoe and Man Friday, isolated, but in a good kind of way. We spent the first couple of hours exploring the beach, looking for crabs amongst the rock pools and soaking in the wonderful views. More tourists started arriving after 10am and around 1130 we called into the Bon Island Restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is basically a big shack with wooden tables and plastic chairs, nothing fancy. We checked out the prices, probably 10% higher than good restaurants across the water at Rawai Beach. We opted for fish, Jack fish in particular, and we also ordered som tum to go along with it. The fish we chose ourselves, freshly caught the night before. We opted to just have it fried and the kitchen did a very good job, it was cooked to perfection. Chunky, firm pieces of fish with just a touch of saltiness and a hint of sweetness, excellent. The somtum complimented the fish nicely. For the two dishes and a couple of small Leo beers we paid 820 baht, excellent value considering the location. After lunch we lounged on the beach chairs for an hour (100 baht rental each) and then spent the remainder of our time swimming before heading back. Bon island and the restaurant make for a relaxing and enjoyable day trip, highly recommended.

Didn’t expect much from the only restaurant on small island, but it was worse than I expected. I ordered shrimps with lemon and garlic. Shrimps were extremely overcooked, it tasted like nothing, lacking of sauce didn’t help either. They only give me a bit of lemon juice with garlic, but it wasn’t enough, so I had to eat dry rice and overcooked shrimps. Props to them, there was a lot of shrimps, but what’s the point if it’s tasteless
Yin Y — Google review
Nice salads, other food was okay, but of course don't expect a Michelin star place here. A bit pricey, but there is no competition on the island. Service is very kind. A lot of boat traffic, local sailors stop for a beer in the afternoon. Small beach, not the best for swimming, due to the constant boat traffic.

This restaurant is set on Bon Island’s stunning beach and serves great Thai food! We got here by kayak from Chalong beach. Prices are a little high for Thailand but still cheap by my (American) standards! We got chicken noodles (160 THB), papaya salad (120 THB), beer (80 THB), and bottled water (40 THB). Loved this little adventure to Bon Island.

Lovely island just a short ride from Rawai beach. You can explore a few quiet beaches here if you're adventurous. Restaurant is very expensive for Thailand, but you do have a great location. I recommend bring snacks and eat on the mainland. The island has a considerable amount of plastic and general waste, which is a real shame.

Nestled away and hidden from plain sight, Ao Sane beach is a small gem that can be spotted from Nai Harn Beach. Accessible through The Nai Harn hotel, it comprises three intimate sandy bays connected by a few beach bungalows. This petite and uncrowded spot boasts magnificent rocks and offers a tranquil escape from the bustling beaches found elsewhere in the Rawai area.
A truly stunning beach—peaceful and serene. The area is gradually becoming private, but it's still worth a visit. The sea is clean and beautiful, with water that isn’t overly salty. The shoreline is covered with gorgeous little stones, adding to its charm. However, there are sharp, larger stones under the water that could cause deep cuts, so caution is necessary. The waves here provide an incredible and unforgettable experience!
Shamseer ( — Google review
The length of this beach is approximately 330 meters - it is a small, comfortable beach for a quiet rest. Ao Sane is not well known among tourists. The flora of this beach consists of trees of mixed species and a large number of beautiful, varied boulders! The sand on the beach is hard, gray-yellow color. Shallow entrance to the sea. The water in the sea is transparent, bluish color! In high season there is almost no wind on the beach! Here is a large and beautiful coral reef! Few people know, but this beach is divided into three zones by natural barriers, in the form of a large cluster of stones. In the north of the beach you can find yourself in a deserted area and quietly rest there away from people, under the shade of overhanging trees. In some places there is not a very good entrance to the sea. There may be large rocks on the bottom, but the water is very clear and you can see them with the naked eye! Is a mess - building site and beach is not accessible.. such a shame this quiet retreat has now succumbed to this … it maybe great once the construction is finished but I don’t think this will be for some time …

A shame. This used to be the best snorkeling beach on mainland Phuket, but now its prime real estate is being sold off for private villas.
John G — Google review
Whilst there is construction work going on just behind the beach, the snorkeling here is great, particularly out to the right following the line of rocks. I saw many colourful tropical fish and there's no current so very safe. Not too many people come here as it's a bit more remote and there's not much space for parking. If you're coming, best to use a motorcyle, there is a small amount of parking at the top of the earth path leading down to the beach. Regarding facilities, a guy has set up with a cold chest selling cans of soda for 30 Baht and there's a small cabin serving hot snacks. If you can ignore the construction then it's a very good place to snorkel.
Miles M — Google review
To reach the place use a bike and after go down to the beach. Access is easier on the left side.Despite the ongoing constructions of the new Baan Krating, the beach is not so frequented; shady gross sand with some big rocks here and there; snorkelling is decent, with some nice underwater places about 3 - 8 meters of dept, with plenty marine life. There are some corals bleached but still largely worth it for Phuket.
Bogdan C — Google review
Nice quiet beach (except for the construction) with large rocks and clear waters. Great for snorkelling and just chilling. The road is narrow and parking is impossible for cars. Best to come via motorbike and park on the top of the hill. There are steps leading down to the beach. Do bring along your own food and water as there are no facilities or sale of anything. Bring your trash with you when you leave.
The H — Google review
Went here to do some snorkeling. The beach is currently not in the best condition. There is some construction going on right behind the beach and this has resulted in some rubbish on the beach. As for the snorkeling. There was a fair amount of wind when I visited and the visibility was not briliant. I stayed in the more shallow part and that was extensive and there was a lot of fish and interesting rock and plant formations.

It's a really fun place. There's a shallow pool, bubbles, an indoor playroom, and free games in the evenings, so you can play all day. The kids have a great time and don't want to leave. It's not expensive, so it's great for adults too. Sometimes the equipment is old, dirty, and dangerous, but as long as an adult is supervising it, it's fine. But why is it that when you leave something behind at night, it's never found first thing the next morning? Did someone steal it? Or are forgotten items just thrown away? How do they manage lost and found items?

Great fun. The 4-year-old had wholesome fun at the water park and the kids club. It was relatively empty on a weekday, which made it a lot more easier to access different activities and entertainment zones.

Went to Rawai Park with my students (45) age 5 and 6 and it was absolutely amazing. There are many different activities that are fun and engaging for anyone's kids and the staff was the best. The staff is always present and ensuring that all kids are under watch and having fun. I will definitely be visiting again and recommend for anyone that wants a fun activity filled day for any number of kids. All of the staff were very pleasant and professional.

Karon Beach is a stunning 4-kilometer stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal destination for couples and families seeking a more tranquil experience compared to the bustling Patong Beach, just 15 minutes away. This picturesque beach offers calm swimming conditions on serene days, while adventurous souls can enjoy the thrill of larger waves when the winds pick up.
Wonderful beach!! Very clean, good vibe. A perfectly relaxing beach. Not bothered by vendors like other Phuket beaches, but they are there if you need something. There was food tents and a band when we were there which was very cool. Good prices and nice people. Had a very great time at Karon beach.
Brian S — Google review
Karon Beach is a popular destination on the west coast of Phuket, Thailand, known for its long stretch of soft, white sand and clear turquoise waters. It is the second-longest beach in the province and is popular with families and couples for its more relaxed atmosphere compared to nearby Patong Beach. The beach offers a mix of relaxation and activities like sunbathing, swimming, and various watersports.
Khaled M — Google review
Nice beach! Cool water. 1hr Massages on beach were 500baht (about $15.50) many vendors lining the shore & beach chairs available. The ocean floor is very uneven with drop offs and sand bars throughout so be careful.
Audrenae — Google review
I’ve just started exploring the local beaches, and Karon Beach is by far my favorite one in the area — especially after visiting Kata Beach, which was overcrowded and quite dirty. Karon feels completely different: the sand is firm and not slippery, which makes it perfect for running or walking along the shore. The beach is wide, flat, and peaceful in the morning, with way fewer people and noticeably less trash. There’s also a nice running path and a small park area nearby, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s a clean, calm, and enjoyable beach — highly recommended if you want to move a bit, relax, or just take in a nice morning run by the sea.
Taras — Google review
It’s a good beach, family friendly. A bit wavy, which is good if you are in the mood to fight with the nature. Renting 2 benches and an umbrella for the shadow for the whole day, costs us 200 B. Overall, we enjoyed it. The beach is very long. You can find some bars in the south, which are recommended to visit on a sunset. Also, if you stay at the south part during the night, you will have an opportunity to sea fire show
Daniel D — Google review
Karon is one of the most breathtaking beaches in Phuket, radiating serenity even in peak season. Its tranquil ambiance, unmarred by bars and numerous food stalls, renders it a haven for families with kids. Water sports on the beach further amplify its allure. And last but not least, the sunset from Karon Beach is just phenomenal.

I really enjoyed my time at Karon Beach. The place is clean and peaceful, perfect for spending hours by the sea. I even had the chance to ride the parasail, which was an amazing experience. The waves are beautiful and calming, and it’s a great spot to do yoga and meditation without any disturbance. Highly recommend for both relaxation and adventure

Clean water and sands. Less crowded than any beach you may wish to visit in Phuket. Few food stalls and activities. The beach is huge and the waves are beautiful.

Kata Noi Beach, a hidden gem on Phuket's southwest coast, offers an idyllic escape with its stunning white sands and crystal-clear aquamarine waters. Nestled in a serene bay just south of the bustling Karon Beach, this beach is perfect for families seeking relaxation away from the party scene of Patong. The 1.5 km stretch is lined with swaying palm trees that provide shade while vendors offer refreshing drinks and local snacks right at your fingertips.
Beautiful beach ⛱️ there where no swimming signs and it was choppy but it seems quite safe if you stay close. Not too crowded and very clean! Would 100% recommend
Laura R — Google review
It is a quiet enough beach, without a lot of entertainment venues. Most often people come to this beach, stay in a hotel and try not to go far away, enjoying a quiet vacation. The beach is small in size: its length is about 700 meters. In high season there are a lot of tourists here, but compared to the previous beaches: Kata and Karon, there is a place to stay! Kata Noi beach is quite a famous vacation spot among tourists. The flora here is made up of trees of mixed species, nevertheless, the beach is open enough to spread the sun's rays. Be sure to use high UV protection creams when sunbathing here. The sand here is soft, light gray in color. The entrance to the sea is medium deep. The water is clear, blue-green color! The wind in the high season is not strong. The bulk of vacationing tourists are concentrated at the hotels adjacent to the beach. The most gorgeous beach! So quiet, calm, peaceful. Perfect view, Turquoise water, located between the rocks. Amazing!

Kata Noi Beach (หาดกะตะน้อย) One of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches in Phuket. The water is incredibly clear with a soft turquoise shade, and the sand is clean and smooth—perfect for relaxing or taking photos. It’s much quieter than Kata Beach, which makes it ideal if you want a calm and less crowded spot. There are a few local shops and cafés nearby, but the beach itself stays very natural. Waves can get a bit strong depending on the season, so it’s great for swimming when calm and fun for light surfing when waves pick up. Clean, scenic, and super relaxing. A must-visit if you’re in Phuket!
Deeksha N — Google review
Witnessing the sunset here is truly an unforgettable experience—arguably one of the best in the world. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of warm hues, creating a serene and almost magical atmosphere. The setting is peaceful and calming, offering the perfect moment for reflection or simply to unwind and take in the natural beauty. Whether you’re a photographer, a traveller seeking memorable views, or simply someone who appreciates nature’s wonders, this sunset is not to be missed.

Kata Noi Beach in Phuket is such a beautiful and relaxing place! The water is clear, the sand is soft, and it’s surrounded by lovely green hills. The waves are a bit bigger than at other beaches, which makes it even more fun to swim and play around. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, take great photos, and just have a fun, relaxing day by the sea! 🌴☀️🌊
Arash A — Google review
The views from here were awesome and great place to relax, BUT like it's neighboring beaches, you're immediately greeted with so much rubbish. There's some parts that are less trashy than others. Even in the water, You'll be swimming with plastic bags. It's not just ropes or fishing lines, but general trash as well. I've seen toothbrushes and food packaging. There's no rinse off station and you'll have to pay to use the bathroom. Most of the beach is taken over by beach chairs that are for rent. Lifeguards are present in this location.

Nice beach , affordable seats price and you can find all kinds of drinks & snacks there , I didn’t check if there is any public restrooms available, but there is 1 issue I recommend don’t sit next to the Shore hotel because on the edge of the beach there is a smelly water coming from Inland.

Ra Wai Beach, located at the southern end of Phuket island, is renowned as the first tourist beach on the island. While not suitable for swimming, it offers stunning views of nearby islands and a tranquil local atmosphere. The beach serves as a departure point for boat tours to various islands and sightseeing spots in the surrounding sea. Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood at nearby restaurants and explore the local fishing community.
The beach is full of docked boats, making it unsuitable for sunbathing or swimming, but it provides a different kind of vibe. I enjoy observing the numerous small animals without needing to dive. The place is practically empty, tranquil, and serene. It's easily accessible; just park and enjoy a walk.
A D — Google review
Surrounding environment is suitable for just sightseeing the vibe over there. I wouldn't recommend for swimming or playing sand at here as you can see from the pictures there are a lot of boats and the nearly no place to walk nearby the ocean
Happy M — Google review
Great for dining, walking and getting the vibe. Not suitable for a perfect sun and sand experience. Mainly boats with less space to swim or enjoy the nature.
Meysam S — Google review
Rawai isn’t your typical swimming beach — and that’s exactly what makes it special. Longtail boats lined up along the shore, fishermen getting ready at sunrise, peaceful walks under the casuarina trees… It’s the perfect place to feel the local rhythm of Phuket. A great starting point for island adventures — and one of those spots you keep coming back to. 🌊🚤🌴
Sawadeebike C — Google review
One of my favourite beaches in Phuket. Not noted as a swimming beach account the volume of boats but still a wonderful spot to spend a day or evening. So many great restaurants up and down the esplanade will have you spoilt for choice in deciding what to eat, including the renowned seafood market. There is a great little brewery here too, highly recommend the IPA. And being a major boating spot plenty of longtails around to ship you off to one of the many islands in the area. Highly recommended.

Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve is a sanctuary in Phuket that offers an incredible experience for visitors. The team has created a special environment where the elephants come first, ensuring they are treated with respect and care. Visitors can have a magical experience feeding the elephants and observing them as they move freely throughout the grounds. This sanctuary stands out for its ethical practices, offering a peaceful and calm atmosphere for both visitors and elephants.
Absolutely amazing! This is a truly ethical sanctuary that gives you the opportunity to be close to the elephants while protecting their space and yours. I went there just expecting a walk with them but it was much more. The staff is really nice and they share so many interesting facts with you and are more than willing to answer all the questions. Then you feed the elephants which you will already know by name and know so much about their personalities. You take a walk and stop at different stations to see them up close and in their natural habitat. Then you have a delicious meal prepared by the wives of the caretakers while the elephants bathe. I didn’t know that even bathing with the elephants is not good for the animals and for your health also and that “sanctuaries” that offer these baths actually have to harm the animals with a hidden needle to make sure no accidents happen. It was such a peaceful and grounding experience. You can truly see that the elephants are happy and taken care of. We also got a cute elephant sculpture from the gift shop. Considering all this money helps the elephants made it much more meaningful. For me this was the highlight of my vacation. I truly recommend it.
Klarisa T — Google review
A truly ethical and unforgettable elephant experience! We were so happy to find a genuinely ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket. Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve lets you observe these incredible animals living naturally, eating, socialising, and just being elephants. Interaction is minimal and respectful, focused on learning and welfare, not entertainment. The team clearly put the elephants’ wellbeing first. If you’re visiting Phuket and want a beautiful, educational, and ethical elephant experience, this is the place to go. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for these intelligent, social animals and the knowledge that your visit supports a better future for them.
Faith C — Google review
What a truly amazing experience.. highlight of our trip to Thailand. From the second we arrived at the sanctuary we felt so welcome and you can tell they truly appreciate visitors. They start off with an introduction and then show you a short video. Then the tour around the sanctuary starts and you get to give the elephants their snacks (bananas). The whole sanctuary is so beautifully set up, the elephants truly seem happy, relaxed and at peace. There’s zero forced interactions, the elephants just get to roam and do their own thing while we got to watch and observe. The guides are funny, friendly and so knowledgeable about all of their elephants. And they even provide you a Vegetarian lunch which was so delicious. This is truly a place I would love to return to again and again. Can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon (or morning). If you’re looking for an excellent activity to do while also supporting such a good cause, visiting this place is absolutely the way to go 🐘 ❤️
Melanie S — Google review
My husband and I spent one of the most beautiful days of our stay in Phuket here. As a vegan and an animal lover, I had been searching for a truly ethical sanctuary to visit, and after spending a day volunteering at the Soi Dog Foundation, we came across Hidden Forest. Included in the price were transportation to and from our hotel, a refreshment area to cool off upon arrival in the welcome hall, and a vegetarian/vegan lunch cooked by a Thai family who came to greet the whole group at the end of the tour. I was incredibly impressed by the work the volunteers have accomplished in just two years. The sanctuary is home to eight female elephants rescued from exploitation (logging, trekking, and mass tourist entertainment). I was very glad that before the tour began, they showed an educational video to raise awareness about the issue, and equally happy that the lunch was entirely plant-based. The trek through the forest was absolutely magnificent. I cried throughout the entire tour. Being able to observe elephants in their natural habitat, living the life that had once been taken from them, was an experience I will carry with me forever. I bought five T-shirts at the gift shop to give to my friends as souvenirs; a small gesture that helps support the sanctuary. If you can, always choose this kind of souvenir: you’ll make a real difference and bring home something truly meaningful.

Highly recommend the Hidden Forest as being truly ethical and an amazingly serine sanctuary. You can tell the elephants are happy and well cared for. The tour guides we're all amazing, funny and informative. It was a pleasure to spend time with them and the elephants. Buffet lunch was really tasty too. A perfect way to spend a rainy day, in fact it's even better to go when its pouring down, all the elephants were so happy playing in the mud. Book in and tell all your friends! (We booked directly through the website, really easy, good value for money and hotel pickup) 10/10 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘

An unforgettable experience! The Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve exceeded all my expectations. The facility is beautifully maintained, located right in the heart of nature, and provides the elephants with a clearly spacious and natural living environment. The team on site is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and answers every question with patience and expertise. What impressed me most was the respectful way the elephants are treated — no shows, no force, just genuine encounters on equal terms. You can immediately tell that the well-being of the animals comes first. I can highly recommend a visit. A place that touches, teaches, and inspires.

Visited the elephant sanctuary this morning with my husband and we LOVED the experience! Unfortunately there is a lot of place’s that call themselves elephant “sanctuaries” and are far from it. It took some research to find this place and I can’t recommend it enough. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Warmly greeted by staff with hot tea and coffee. Our tour guide, Ann, spoke English very well and educated us about the history of elephants in Thailand. I greatly appreciated that the staff divided the groups into adults only and families before we began the tour of the property. They had 9 female elephants that are free to roam 28 acres and we enjoyed feeding them a lot of bananas. A delicious lunch was also included while we watched the elephants bath/play in and around a pond. We finished the tour by 12:30 and dropped back off at our hotel. I would also like to add that Ross, a co founder of the reserve, joined our group and took his time explaining the importance of this sanctuary and why they do things differently here. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. You can definitely tell he and the staff have a true passion for what they do. This was such an amazing experience that we will return with our children next year!
Dejah A — Google review
Beautiful experience, made much better by knowing these elephants are treated kindly and you get to see them thriving in an ethical environment. They are all rescues and they are not subjected to riding or bathing by visitors. The food was lovely too, and all the staff very kind, you can tell they care about the elephants. Such a heartwarming day out, well worth a visit.

Phuket Art Village, also known as Rawai Art Village, is a charming community of artists living and working in their own galleries amidst nature. The village showcases a diverse range of colorful creations including paintings, sculptures, puppets, and murals. As you stroll through the small lane leading to Rawai Beach, you'll discover various little galleries featuring unique styles from local artists. Visitors might even catch an artist at work during their visit.

I met wonderful artists there and some of them were creating art while I was wandering around. The artists live and create here. From a girl who was painting some Parisian street, I got to know that three artists are currently living here. I talked to one of them. His name was Pui, he was one of the founders of that place back then in 2011. He is from Chiang Mai originally, graduated from Bangkok university, and after that got scholarship in Japan to learn about peculiar technique of mezzotint. Mezzotint is a printmaking process that produce a matrix by roughening a metal plate with thousands of little dots made by a metal tool with small teeth, called a "rocker". Pui showed me his house and his works, also made me a tea. He said that he built it out of wooden boats that were destroyed by Tsunami in 2004. That’s why every piece here has a different color, it’s because it originates from a fisherman boat color - explains the author. By the way, his house is also a small cafe where he serves himself. You can buy tea, coffee, pastries and, of course, his artworks. Wonderful atmosphere and definitely worth visiting while you are in Phuket.

Banana Beach, located on Coral Island and accessible by long-tail boat from Rawai Beach, is a hidden gem with pristine white sand and turquoise waters. This secluded paradise offers opportunities for water sports like parasailing, banana-boat rides, and kayaking. Surrounded by lush green jungle, it remains unspoiled and relatively undiscovered due to its remote location.
Banana Beach is an absolute gem and one of the best spots to visit in Thailand. It’s a bit more secluded compared to other beaches, which makes it a perfect escape from the crowds. The crystal-clear water, soft golden sand, and surrounding lush greenery create a breathtaking setting that feels like paradise. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and the water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There are plenty of colourful fish to see, making it a great spot for anyone who enjoys marine life. The waves are usually calm, so it’s safe for all ages. You can also rent kayaks or paddleboards if you want to explore the coastline. There’s a small beachfront restaurant that serves fresh seafood and delicious Thai dishes. Sitting there with a drink in hand, enjoying the view, is an experience in itself. Despite being a hidden spot, the staff and locals around the area are friendly and welcoming. Getting to Banana Beach requires a short boat ride or a bit of a walk, but it’s absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful beach with amazing scenery, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful staff, thank you, Lative! We were here last year and will be this week! Lots of exiting activities like banana boat, kayak etc! No trash on the Banana beach, compared to Coral Beach, clear sand and water, lots of corals and fishes! Wonderful place for snorkelling, eating good food and spending time!

We stayed at Panwa Bay and booked a long boat for the day. The trip across took about 20 minutes, and it was beautiful, very calm, and relaxing. Once we arrived, we got a table and ordered bucket cocktails, which were divine, we swam in lovely clear water, and the food we ordered for lunch was amazing! The day was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to do it all again.

Cool beach with white sand and clear water. You can get to the island not only with an excursion but by your self. You need to go to rawai pier and get the boat(Long-tail Boat) which coast 1500-1600 Bat and in about half an hour it will get you to the island. They're two options on banana beach. The first you can pay 100 Bat per person and get access sun lounger, toilet and shower(Of course you can move freely around the island). The second one if you pay 300 bat per person and get sun lounger, toilet, shower and also you can use this 300 bat for food, drinks and all the services that you'll find(it's like a deposit).

Grabbed a long-tail from Chalong Pier for 2500 baht to come here for the day. We ordered probably half the menu. The curries were great, the fruit shakes were fresh & the coconut ice cream was a delicious way to finish the meal. Pros: Perfect for snorkeling, snacking, seeing exotic birds and getting a tan. Cons: Everything costs extra. Entry fee, chair fee. Then you have to upgrade again for a beach bed. Pro tip: GET YOUR RECEIPTS. After upgrading to the beach bed, the same person we gave the cash to claimed we didn't pay yet and asked for the receipt he forgot to give us 🙃This was resolved in the end as they remembered after.

Beautiful island with is very accessible by long tail boat which we took from Rawai beech front for 1800bht. Very friendly guy running the boat which you have all day. On arrival you pay a small fee for accessing the island which is 2 options, 100bht or 300bht. I'm not sure what the 300bht option included but we took the 100bht option. The water on the island is clear, the sand is clean and golden. Plenty of fish for the children to take interest in and plenty of crabs to find if your lucky. I didn't sample any of the food but plenty of people there were eating. I cannot comment on the price but I'm sure it will be quite expensive compared to the mainland but I'm sure that's what everyone would expect. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely visit again whilst in Phuket.

Laem Ka Beach is a hidden gem in Phuket, cherished by locals for its unspoiled natural beauty. Despite the tourism boom, this beach has remained relatively untouched, making it a peaceful retreat for those in the know. Nestled near Rawai Beach, it offers a tranquil atmosphere and is surrounded by attractions like Phuket Orchid Farm and Sea Gypsies Village.
Open Laem Ka Beach! Back in the days, this was one of the best spots to relax. Not many tourons, mostly Thai people 👍 But at latest with the "special tourist invasions", everything went downhill in Phuket (besides prices). Someone closed access. There is hope as the officials are looking into it. Let's hope someone will get justice and the public beaches ( = ALL beaches in Thailand) will be made public again 🤞🍀🤞

Before Covid this was one of the "last" untouched beaches... but greed has won again and the area has been blocked off by large industrial fencing and what appears to be a new condo/resort coming soon... :( The island has been overdeveloped for quite some time now so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Just sad.
PeePaw Y — Google review
Most certainly a lovely beach. Some years ago, the sea gypsies got control of the land and erected the oppressive gate. Prior to this, a Chinese tour company used this beach to ferry the passengers to and from the fast boats to the island. 100's at a time ruined the peace. Open the beach, but ban the fast tour boats...

Secluded little hidden gem of a place. Very small beach. Outside family run independent restaurant right next to the waters edge. Great views of the sea and coastal bay. While we were there the sound of cicadas was deafening and the water was thick with a large shoal of small fish. Egret birds and big fish predating on them making them jump often.

The beach is amazing but the access is difficult, there are ways to get there without paying for a boat. The best and quickest access is by foot from Surin Beach, is not a long walk on rocks, so take it easy but It is worth the effort! The snorkelling around the rocks on this beach is great! We also managed to walk to Kamala beach from Laem Beach, but this is longer, on rocks and is not well prepared.

These unique communities, historically reliant on subsistence fishing, now face challenges from commercial fishing and coastal development. The market has been a staple for over a century, attracting both locals and visitors eager to purchase fresh seafood or soak in the lively atmosphere. Here, you can find an impressive array of marine delicacies including lobsters, oysters, and even sea cucumbers.
Overpriced seafood for the tourists who flock here.

Nestled in the serene southern village of Nai Harn, Rock Salt Restaurant stands out as a hidden gem for those seeking an exceptional dining experience by the beach. This waterfront establishment boasts sleek interiors adorned with smooth teak wood and chic lilac lighting that creates an upscale ambiance. The restaurant features stunning views from its split-level decks, making it a perfect spot to unwind.
Beautiful view and delicious breakfast — I truly enjoyed everything. The waitress was a bit inquisitive for my pre-coffee morning mood, but that’s probably just me before caffeine kicks in. Overall, a lovely spot and a great experience!

We had a lovely time here. It is a few months before the high season and so it was lovely and quiet. The staff were attentive, our meals delicious and the cocktails were tasty good 😁 such a beautiful view to have whilst eating too. Definitely visit here if you are in the area!!! Ps...sorry my camera isn't the best 😅

The food here was excellent! The menu has a refreshing Middle Eastern twist that makes it stand out. We ordered the chicken shish tawook and the beach burger—both were full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is amazing, with a stunning sea view and the relaxing sound of the waves in the background. Service was equally impressive—Khun Ding, the restaurant manager, was personable, attentive, and very kind. We highly recommend this place for both the food and the experience!

Phenomenal food. Stellar service. Ocean breeze. The muscles were epic. The martini was divine. If you’re in Phuket, this is the place to dine.

I didn’t get the chance to try the food yet, but honestly, the atmosphere alone is enough to win you over. 🌿✨ This café is filled with charm, from its cozy corners to the dreamy vibes that make you want to stay for hours. It’s the kind of place where the setting itself melts you—peaceful, beautiful, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. A must-visit café for anyone looking to enjoy a truly amazing ambiance. ☕💕

Nestled in Cape Panwa, the Phuket Aquarium is a delightful destination for families and marine enthusiasts alike. While it may not be vast, its charm lies in its captivating displays of local marine life. Visitors can marvel at impressive tanks housing fascinating creatures such as leopard sharks, moray eels, giant groupers, and even piranhas from the Amazon.
I recently visited this aquarium and had a great experience. It is nicely maintained and conveniently located near the sea, which adds to its charm. The aquarium features a wide variety of fish and marine life, making it an enjoyable and educational visit for people of all ages. The exhibits are well-organized, and the environment is clean and welcoming. The entry ticket is reasonably priced at 300 baht, offering good value for the experience. Whether you're a marine life enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing activity, this aquarium is worth a visit!
Abhijeet स — Google review
A great place to learn about local marine life! Lots of native fish species and different zones to explore. The fish tunnel was super cool, and there’s even a marine breeding and conservation center out back, which was a nice surprise. Really enjoyed my visit fun, educational, and relaxing. Some display areas could use a bit more life (a few tanks felt a bit empty), but overall it’s a lovely spot. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
Benjamin L — Google review
Amazing government aquarium, it is bigger than what I imagined and take half day to complete all. The ticket includes aquarium, fish foster and turtle foster, all three places are scattered but still walkable distance.
Kasemsan P — Google review
The Phuket Aquarium is a nice place to visit, especially with kids. The marine life displays are interesting and well presented, and the staff are friendly. At the moment, one of the main buildings is closed for renovation, so the experience feels a bit shorter than expected. Still, it’s worth going for a relaxed and educational stop during your stay in Phuket.
Luca F — Google review
The Phuket Aquarium is nice and well-maintained, but the visit is quite short and there aren’t any interactive activities for children. It’s a pleasant stop if you’re nearby, though not a must-see attraction.
Nimrod — Google review
Looking for a relaxing stop before or after your beach time at Panwa Cape? This aquarium is the perfect spot! The entrance fee is very affordable, making it a great budget-friendly activity. It’s not a huge place, but that’s the charm you can explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. Inside, you’ll find a variety of colorful fish, turtles and a calm atmosphere that makes you feel closer to the ocean world. After your visit, you can easily continue your day with a seaside walk or sightseeing at the beautiful Panwa beach nearby. The combination of sea breeze, ocean views, and the peaceful aquarium makes it a truly relaxing experience. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to slow down and enjoy nature’s beauty.
Picco C — Google review
Because it is quite old and has not undergone a significant amount of renovation, the exhibition area is not very large, and it does not take very long to walk around. Although the display cabinets do not appear to be as tidy as they should be, there are some components that have been recently added. On the inside of the building, the air conditioning system is not functioning as well as it once did. The cost is not too high for Thai citizens to pay.
Yuppared S — Google review
As a foreigner I have to 300 Baht. Looks empty and quiet. The fishes on display were not a lot. It was hot and the aircon were in short supply and therefore they use fans as well. If you have been to better aquariums like Osaka or Singapore, don’t bother to come here. Not worth your time and money. It’s a bit run down and not many exhibits and fishes. Cash only. No credit cards or digital payment

Tucked away under a charming thatched roof, Rawai View Cafe and Bar offers an unforgettable dining experience with breathtaking vistas of Rawai Bay. This delightful eatery serves a fusion of exquisite Thai and Western dishes, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike. Since its opening in May 2015, it has quickly become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts, including esteemed restaurant managers who come to savor the culinary delights while soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Food and selection of drinks are great. Also presentation is pretty awesome. Place only miss more people. Well, it is out of season as I learned. And what I would definitely set is some deep blues music 🎶. Place would be even more cozy and sexy. (And I would definitely clean the beach infront of. That was little disturbing. I understand that this might be not “your job”… But to go extra mile is not bad ☺️

The food was generally good – I especially enjoyed the Massaman curry. The calamari wasn’t really to my taste. I was a bit disappointed because my change was incorrect and some money was missing, and they still added a 10% service charge, which felt a bit unfair.
Judith S — Google review
Decent dinner here, genuine Thai food served with a flare. Taste authentic without adjustments for tourist tastebuds. It’s right on the shoreline and I bet the sunset will be nice here. Parking space is limited, but that’s fine I guess because tourists come on mopeds. For a dinner with a view, it’s pretty ok.

The best food I’ve had on this international trip so far. We’ve been to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore… hands down the freshest, best tasting food so far. The spicy crab meat soup was a hit for the whole table! We are Americans with various different spice tolerances and medium spicy was great. All of the food was amazing and the view was BEAUTIFUL! Totally recommend you check out this gem.

This was our favorite restaurant in Phuket. We started with a fried shrimp appetizer and it was fresh, lightly breaded and absolutely delicious. Margaritas were also quite good. I had the cashew chicken and loved it. My husband ordered the spaghetti carbonara. He said it was quite filling. For dessert we had pecan ice cream, creamy & delicious! Our favorite restaurant so far! The sunset was beautiful and was quite peaceful and romantic.

This restaraunt was our favourite on our holiday vacation. Was having dinner here almost every evening. Very friendy staff ( especially Zin 😉 ) Was following her recommendations about dishes and everything was supertasty, my favourite is fried rice in pineapple with seafood. Also there is good quiet atmosphere with nice view. 100% recommendations! Remember that your holiday is too short to choose bad places)

Zen Eat is a restaurant located in Rawai Beach, specifically on Saiyuan Road. It offers a diverse menu featuring meaty favorites and an extensive selection of French Fusion cuisine. Additionally, visitors can explore the Rawai Seafood Market to obtain the freshest catch from the sea and have it prepared at one of the nearby restaurants.
This French restaurant in Rawai is a true treasure! We dine here often, and every visit is consistently amazing. The experience is always top-notch, with a menu that frequently refreshes to offer delightful surprises. The creative kitchen takes meticulous care with every detail, making each dish a masterpiece. The owner’s presence adds a special touch—he runs a highly organized and welcoming space where you feel truly cared for as a guest. The attention to detail in service and ambiance is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and try the mango cheesecake—it’s my all-time favorite dessert and an absolute must-have! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Rawai.

Wow. Just wow. We’ve been traveling around Asia for 4 months and tried so many places with “Western-style” food, but nothing ever matched the quality and taste we were craving. Until now. THIS PLACE absolutely delivered. Everything was spot on: the appetizers, the mains, the desserts, even the drinks. Flawless. 10/10. We were blown away. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here. You won’t regret it.
Nagy K — Google review
The restaurant offers French cuisine with dishes plated with great care and creativity, a detail that immediately stands out. Some dishes I found truly good, while others didn’t quite meet my personal taste. Unfortunately, the atmosphere doesn’t match the visual quality of the dishes: plastic chairs and tables, along with placemats that feel reminiscent of a cheap restaurant, detract from the overall experience—especially considering the prices. Another negative detail was the use of very low-quality olive oil, which was disappointing. A positive note is definitely the staff, who are always kind and attentive. However, there was an unpleasant episode with the owner during payment: while teaching a waitress how to use the POS machine, he became visibly annoyed when she struggled to tear off the receipt, sighing and shaking his head. It left a negative and unprofessional impression. In summary, a restaurant with potential but some details that need improvement, both in the location and the service.
Anna F — Google review
I and my wife accidentally found this restaurant because our desired restaurant was closed unexpectedly. Surprisingly, all the dishes are really fantastic beyond our expectations! I and my wife ordered separate sets. And the portions were larger than we expected! The “small” Caesar salad was not small indeed. But more importantly, the ingredients were all very fresh and the dishes were really really delicious! And the cost is really reasonable, each person ~900THB only including tax. I strongly recommend everyone visiting Phuket to try!

Absolutely incredible place. The food is delicious, the service is flawless, all staff speak great English by the way! It was my birthday and this place made my day. We ordered oysters (and they were so good that I decided to order one more portion!); starters, main dish, and desserts were also very tasty and looked as a piece of art. Prices are absolutely fair; and we left some tips as I just loooooved the service - waiters and a man, who I supposed was either a host or an owner of the restaurant, were attentive, but not annoying; they were there for us when we needed them and didn't disturb us when we wanted some space. I'm absolutely sure I'll come back here. This is truly a place where feel welcome. Thank you guys!

Sinbi Muay Thai Training Camp in Phuket is a top choice for Muay Thai enthusiasts. Founded by champion boxer Khun Sing, the camp boasts state-of-the-art facilities and experienced trainers who have competed internationally. Located just minutes away from Nai Harn beach, it offers a large open-air training center with three full-size rings and an equipped gym.
Great gym for muay thai training for all levels. Went there for a 3 day mini training camp. Morning/evening 2-hour trainings lead by an excellent staff of trainers. Good selection of equipment and great trainee to trainer ratios at reasonable prices. I am a newbie to muay thai but definitely learned many techniques and got stronger every day.

I always get butterflies going into a new gym, but I felt the warm Thai welcome as soon as I arrived to Sinbi. My Muay Thai gym in Western Australia (Primal) had a group come over and train, so with their recommendation, I knew it had to be good. The group classes are really well structured, making the two hours fly by. It’s a big gym with a number of people, yet I never felt lost in the crowd, so to speak. I had a couple of 1-1 sessions and I learnt so much with the Kru’s. Sinbi also hold fights on Saturday nights at their stadium. You HAVE TO DO THIS! It was so much fun!! I’d definitely come back to train again at Sinbi!

I had an amazing 10-day stay at Sinbi Muay Thai. The entire experience was incredible, and I saw significant improvement in my skills. The trainers are exceptional, and I especially want to highlight Senrak. Training with him was an absolute honor—he’s an outstanding trainer with deep knowledge and expertise. I’m already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend Sinbi Muay Thai to anyone serious about improving their Muay Thai skills!"

Unfortunately our trip to Sinbi was short but it was excellent. We spent the day in Rawai and my son Cooper dropped in for a Muay Thai PT . He was blessed to have Trainer Bas or Crazy Bas as they call him. He was fantastic knowledgeable and great with Cooper and made it fun but also extremely demanding while teaching him important aspects of ring fighting. Highly recommend him !! We will be back but next time for longer then a day 🙏🏼
Dylan B — Google review
If you’re looking for a structured, well run class in Phuket - this is the place to go. It’s not the most authentic Muay Thai you’ll find, but for Phuket it’s decent enough. I trained here for a few weeks and generally had a good experience. The classes can be very busy, sometimes 100+ students in high season but there are around 18-20 trainers in each class. The gym floor itself is nice and big, and there is a very basic gym with a few weights on the ground floor.
Ismail H — Google review
Clean, open, and beautiful gym! Plenty of bags and three rings in the middle providing plenty of space for multiple one on ones at a time. I did a three hour one-on-one that I booked a day in advanced, and I felt like I learned more in those three hours than I did in a couple of years at an MMA gym. The trainers/coaches are very technical and practical, yet still keep the fun in training. Will definitely go here again for more one-on-one.
Vincent N — Google review
Great gym with great coaches and staff. They offer training to all skill levels from beginner to fighters, locals and foreigners, and everyone speak English well. I have never fought and i don't plan on fighting, but have trained a bit in the past. My skills and techniques vastly improved. The coaches take time to teach everyone and not just the fighters. Spent 1 month training here and loved ever minute of it. Highly recommend this gym.

Great experience at Sinbi Muay Thai! I showed up for a morning group training session. I was a complete beginner and had no problem following the class. There are a lot of teachers and I had one to show me and correct all my moves at all time. All teachers are very friendly and are amazing at teaching. They are precise, patient and funny. We started with running and warming up, then some basic techniques, pair work, pad work, drills on punching bags and finished with some stretching. I enjoyed every minute of it and didn't see time fly by. I will definitely return for more sessions next time I come to Phuket!! Thank you to all the Khrus kha!!

The Boho-inspired restaurant offers delightful international dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere while savoring their meals and taking in the ocean view just across the street. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its welcoming vibe and delicious food, including juicy burgers with crispy fries and refreshing poke bowls made with fresh, colorful ingredients.
Came here to escape the rain yesterday, so glad we did, 2hrs later, breakfast devoured, coffee, tea and beers drank & very happy. Service is wonderful, food is delicious, fresh and perfect to cooked, atmosphere is perfect. The best coffee I’ve had since being in Thailand. Had breakfast yesterday and back again today for brunch… simply delicious.

Four of us had dinner at Vida Nova. The atmosphere was lovely, though the music was a bit loud. The food was really tasty, but the portions could have been a little bigger. Overall, we had a great evening! One thing to note — the bill included both a service charge and tax. I’ve noticed some restaurants in Phuket mention this clearly, while others don’t, so it’s still a bit confusing how it works here
Arash A — Google review
Looking for breakfast food, I found this place close to the water. I ordered a coconut café latte that was really good. It’s a little on the sweet side, but I’m sure you can ask for less sweetness. I highly recommend it! Based on my drink experience, I was looking forward to the food being just as good, but that wasn’t the case. I ordered the steak and eggs and was served a burger patty instead of steak. You could tell it was poor-quality meat — the kind that leaves a nasty taste in your mouth. The only good part of the plate was the guacamole, and that was only after adding salt. So, I do not recommend the steak and eggs at all! The location is good and the restaurant itself is nice. There are wall fans in the outdoor seating area and an air-conditioned room if you don’t want to sit outside. They also have a small play area toward the back of the restaurant for kids. The service was good and the staff were kind.

Absolutely love this place! The outdoor seating is beautiful and peaceful. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and their sourdough bread is incredible. Absolutely loved this place! I ended up coming here several mornings in a row just for their chicken shawarma wrap – it’s that memorable and delicious. Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying. Their shakes are super tasty and refreshing, and the Bloody Mary cocktail was spot on – just the right balance. Prices are very reasonable for the area, especially compared to other spots along the Rawai coast. On top of that, you get a wonderful view, cozy vibes, and super friendly staff. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

What an incredible visit! We joined the cocktail-making class with Nicky, who was absolutely amazing – friendly, knowledgeable, and full of energy. He taught us how to create three delicious cocktails using Chalong Bay’s signature rum, and each one was better than the last! After the class, Natty took us on a short but very informative tour around the distillery, where we learned about their unique production process. We also enjoyed a tasting session that included several varieties of rum, plus two gins and a vodka – all exceptional in flavour and quality. We decided to stay for food afterwards, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve had in Phuket – absolutely delicious from start to finish. If you’re visiting Phuket, this place is an absolute must! A perfect mix of fun, education, and incredible flavours. Highly recommend! 🌴🍸
