Nestled in the charming town of Elounda, Elounda Garden Suites is a delightful hotel that offers excellent value for travelers seeking a memorable getaway. Just steps away from the picturesque Aegean Sea and only 100 meters from the vibrant center, this cozy boutique hotel caters to couples, families, friends, and solo adventurers alike.
Amazing experience at Elounda Garden suites. The staff is unbelievably caring and great at what they do. Anything we needed they were there to help us, and honestly went above and beyond. Every morning I dropped my laundry off and they did it for us free of charge. The breakfast was amazing kids ate for free. They provided my family a crib for my 2 year old. I can go on and on about how amazing the staff was to us. This place is so clean they clean your room every day and leave it sparkling for you we loved our housekeeper I wish I remembered her name the sweetest nicest lady ever. The pool had a great vibe great food great drinks. Also only a few minute walk into the main town of elounda and beach the location cannot be better. I love that it is a hotel yet the room has its own kitchen and bedrooms which is very helpful when traveling with children. If anyone I know ever travels to Crete I will recommend they check out the cute town of elounda and stay in this fabulous hotel. We cannot wait to be back!

I recently stayed at Elounda Garden Suites and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the pool area—clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Whether lounging by the pool or taking a refreshing swim, it added a luxurious touch to the stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, always friendly and professional. The location is ideal, close to shops, restaurants, and key attractions. I also appreciated the delicious breakfast and thoughtful amenities throughout the property. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Couldn’t speak higher of Elounda Garden Suites and the team behind it! The room, service and staff were everything and more we could ask for. It is a gorgeous venue and has a great aesthetic. Staff were super polite and friendly. Offered a bottle of wine and a bowl of fruits on our arrival. Comfy beds, clean and quiet. We will be back 😊

The place is quite nice but... Too many English parents unfit to raise their kids makes spending time at the pool an AWFUL experience. If you go there while kids risk to be here, this place is a nightmare. Guys, why do you have kids if this is to turn them into screaming monsters, fighting together, jumping next to adults taking a sunbath (and not even teach them how to swim at 9 y.o )??? MANAGEMENT IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. Otherwise, the location is great, the rooms are well equiped, the service is very efficient... So if you plan on coming in September, this must be paradise. But if there is a risk for English kids and their lame parents to be there, you are informed.

Absolutely amazing place. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Anna gave us great recommendations on where to visit and everyone always said hello and would do anything to help our stay comfortable. The room itself was clean, comfortable, modern and was cleaned daily. It had air conditioning, fridge, tea and coffee too. We had a lovely outside area which was perfect for a coffee in the morning or a wine at night. They were very kind in giving us both a welcome package and and leaving gift which was a lovely touch! Also the gardens themselves are well maintained and the smell of jasmine as you walk through was incredible. All the guests were friendly and the pool was lovely. Location wise it's perfect, a very short walk from the tavernas, shops, boats and beaches but nice and quiet to retreat to when needing to relax and chill. Highly recommended to stay, was such an enjoyable experience and felt so relaxed. Also the parking was available if driving!
Carly B — Google review
Arrived late at night and they were very helpful and accommodating. We had booked this a few days before arriving and only booked for one night. The location was up a very narrow road and there was no parking very close by but free parking up a short hill. The rooms were quite nice and clean and recently refurbished but I didn't sleep well due to the noise from the AC. It was not our AC that made a noise because that I could just turn off. Directly attached to the outside of the wall next the main bed was the external AC unit for the upstairs suite. Every time it kicked in it disturbed my sleep. There was a second toilet. Breakfast was served from 8:30. Very expensive breakfast at €18 and not worth it. Children are half price so that helps a bit. Besides the usual buffet you could order hot food which was very average. The pool only opens at 10:00 but by the time you get there almost all of the the sunbeds are already taken. The pool area is quiet small and there isn't much space for sunbeds. The pool itself has three depths so that was nice for my children. When we checked out the service was friendly and professional. Even though checkout is at 12:00, our room cards stopped working after 11:00 so had to get them re-activated so that we could pack. They have free luggage lockers which we used for a couple of hours.

Everything was excellent. We loved our family room - perfect size for our family of 4. We were warmly greeted at reception and then found a handwritten thank you card from the manager waiting in our room - along with fresh fruit and cold white wine, water and juice. The staff is extremely nice and very helpful and knowledgeable. There’s a beautiful pool with a snack bar and town is just a 5-minute walk. We absolutely love this hotel and hope to be back one day.
Amy D — Google review
Fantastic stay, Fantastic staff! My husband and I spent 10 nights here celebrating our anniversary, there are no negatives to this hotel everything is perfect. The staff are amazing and very friendly especially Bona who made up our room every day making it extra special 🥰 The rooms are very well equipped and super clean. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. Highly recommended Would definitely stay again.

Beaches
Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas is a luxurious retreat in Crete, Greece. This posh seafront resort offers stylish accommodations with stunning sea views, ranging from classic rooms to waterfront bungalows and villas. Guests can indulge in multiple dining options, including Greek and Japanese/Peruvian fusion cuisine. The hotel boasts two private sandy beaches, as well as waterfront villas and bungalows with private heated pools and spacious terraces.
We stayed at the hotel a couple of weeks ago, and it was a truly blissful and relaxing experience. The hotel checked us in 4 hours early and upgraded our bungalow to a room to one which included a steam room and jacuzzi. If one is looking for the most modern of hotels this is not it. There were some features of the room that were a little dated, CD player and safe, and could have done with a few USB charging ports, but these details are relatively minor for a leisure traveller. The gym is clearly an old dance studio with decent equipment and lovely staff (fine for a down week) but could do with updating and new equipment that is more appropriate (e.g. pull up bars and a bench) and more of a multi gym. The setting is beautiful along the beach with different pools and stretches of beach to explore. They assign you your loungers to prevent travellers from stealing them first thing in the morning. The food was of an extremely high standard throughout, and the town is only a short walk away (15 mins) if one wants local cuisine. The breakfast is varied and consistently good. Do get up earlier for tables with a perfect view in the shade (they are in demand!). The staff make your stay pretty effortless, and is customary for a five star hotel but it was seamless, friendly and gentle throughout. We want to pay a special thanks to Alexandra the gym instructor who ran excellent classes. There are minor details that could do with refinement to make it ideal for a gym bunny determined to do work on holiday, but if you just want to relax and enjoy the view and food and have a great view at a reasonable price you will get great value here. We would recommend to others.

We did not enjoy our stay at Elounda Beach. While the view from the hotel is undeniably beautiful, the hotel itself is old and in serious need of renovation. Our first bungalow (no. 82) had a cockroach infestation. The hotel’s initial reaction was simply to send someone to spray the room. Only after we insisted did they move us to another bungalow (no. 80), which, while free of cockroaches, had a serious ant problem in the bathroom and was equally decrepit. For a supposed 5-star property, the facilities and service were far below expectations. There was no compensation offered—just a brief apology—and staff didn’t seem surprised by the cockroach issue, which was worrying. On top of that, the facilities are just old everywhere. The double bed consists in 2 single beds next to each other. The AC unit must be from the 1980s and circulated mold everywhere in the room. Breakfast was just OK with slow service. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. It does not live up to the standards one would expect from a luxury property, especially given the price they billed.

My stay at Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas was truly unforgettable. I spent two months here, and what made this experience so special were the incredible people who became like family to me - Nikolina, Erini, Marios, Valeria, kirilos and dimitris. I have never met people more genuine, kind, and hardworking. Their warmth, professionalism, and constant smiles made every single day better. They went above and beyond in every way possible, and I can honestly say that my stay was ten times better because of them. Elounda Beach is a beautiful place, but it's the people who make it truly exceptional. I'm beyond grateful for the memories and the friendships I've made here. Thank you for making me feel at home from day one - I can't wait to come back. - Saint Tala

2 Stars – Disappointing Stay Despite Great Staff and Views Hard to believe this is part of the Leading Hotels of the World. While the staff was genuinely pleasant and professional, the experience fell far short of expectations. I moved here from their sister property, the Elounda Bay Palace, due to a foul odor in the room there. At first, my room in the spa building seemed like an improvement—dated but with some charm and a beautiful view. The pool and facilities were better than at the other hotel, and again, the staff was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the same odor issue persisted. After a windy day, the entire spa building—including the spa itself—filled with a strong sewer smell. It was awful at night, and the stench made it nearly impossible to sleep. I complained three times, but nothing was done during my stay. Days after I left, the manager emailed to say they couldn’t detect any smell, which only added to the frustration. To make matters worse, the bathroom’s steam shower wouldn’t stay closed due to a broken seal. I asked for it to be repaired, and the maintenance team not only failed to fix it but somehow made it worse, leaving dirty footprints all over the bathroom floor. Between the sewer odors, the subpar breakfast, and careless maintenance, it’s hard to believe this property carries the "Leading Hotels of the World" label. The friendly staff and nice view just weren’t enough to save the experience.

Unique hotel. The grounds are breath taking and beautifully designed. Staff are warm and caring. Watersports team are the best in the world. Some reviews complain about unrefurbished rooms. This is a taste issue. The "older" rooms are built in incredible quality marble and wood. Not very sustainable to destroy that just to change with the times. This is a legendary resort. As a testament to this, many guests have been coming for decades and many staff members too.
Nicolas B — Google review
We stayed in a villa and from the moment we arrived we felt at home. Though an older establishment love and attention has been put into the villas and they are clean and comfortable. Our entire family agreed we were treated so well by the incredible staff. From being checking in on during our stay, to the general manager coming to introduce himself at dinner, to the cleaning and in room dining staff taking the time to talk with our family we felt so appreciated! The people of this hotel take pride in their jobs and in their island and are so happy to have you there. The private patio pool was an excellent way to cool down on a hot afternoon and we were just steps from our private beach. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for evening strolls. We will most definitely be back!

We had the most incredible experience at this beach resort in Crete. The property is breathtaking—lush, beautifully maintained grounds and pristine waters that invite you to unwind and explore. But what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, making us feel instantly at home. Special shoutouts to Maria at concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and memorable, and Mariana in the restaurant, whose kindness and attention to detail made every meal a joy. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, heartwarming escape. Five stars all the way!
Alexandra G — Google review
Fabulous hotel. Our room was amazing with a view to the sea spacious well huge actually and spotless. The staff were brilliant couldnt do enough for you. The private beach was sandy and the sea crystal clear. The beach boys allocated you a sun bed bed and it was yours for the week no matter when you wanted to sunbathe. The grounds are beautifully kept in fact we had not one thing negative to say. Its a 20 minute walk into Elounda and if you take the turning yo the right past Thea resturant it takes you along the sea front past all the resturants.

Elounda Palm Hotel & Suites is a beautiful and clean hotel located at Katevati 1 St. It offers spacious rooms with fantastic views, an outdoor pool, a pool bar, room service, and a fitness center. Guests can enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling as well as breakfast and rooms with kitchens. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, providing excellent service from check-in to check-out.
Great hotel, beautiful sunrise, friendly staff and good food. We loved our stay except one inconvenience: after checking in, we realized that the toilet trash can has not been emptied and the toilet seat had not been cleaned. But the staff reacted quickly. I recommend.
Isseu S — Google review
On arrival we weren't greeted with the warmest of welcomes. It was late. But we were ushered to our room. Dodgy sandwiches greeted us. They were yuk! No water in the fridge. No kettle just a rubbish coffee machine. Also I'd emailed before hand to have the room prepared for my wife's birthday surprise. That didn't happen. So one star off for greeting service and rooms. The engine of the hotel, the service staff, were brilliant. Friendly, attentive, happy. As was our cleaning lady. Working with people must be a tough job, so top marks to them. I'm sure they get their fair share of awkward customers!! I couldn't do their job. The location was good. About a 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Elounda. A bit punishing on my dodgy knees, but we booked the hotel! And Elounda is lovely. We've been a few times already. Going back to the rooms, some info pack in the rooms would be great. Things to do, bus timetables that sort of thing. QR codes aren't for everyone!! We are in a Junior Infinity Suite. We leave tomorrow. Despite the initial hiccup we've had a great stay.
Andy O — Google review
Stayed here for 10 days in the deluxe junior pool suite. These rooms are the newest and largest available. The pool is unheated and salt water. Whilst the rooms are very nice, for the money you pay, you should expect a few more essentials- cotton buds, tissues, and water in the room instead of charging the exorbitant price of 2.50 Euros per bottle. The staff are all great, nothing too much bother and they really want you to enjoy your stay. If you are half board, the buffet evening meal is extensive. If not, there are loads of restaurants within walking distance. Overall, this is a good hotel on the outskirts of Elounda, but if it could be very good with just a small extra effort.
Annie P — Google review
An old hotel that has been recently renovated, but there are still signs of wear and imperfections. It is located very close to the center of Elounda and the surrounding beaches of Agios Nikolaos. We spent 9 nights at this hotel, and our overall impressions are generally good. It is very clean and has nice decor. The staff is helpful and polite. It is a good choice for someone seeking good service and a beautiful environment without paying the prices of 5-star hotels. The breakfast definitely needs an upgrade and more options, such as local sweets and fresh pies, or even a greater variety of fresh fruits. However, for a 4-star hotel, the prices are very high considering that most rooms are nothing special beyond being nicely decorated.
Nefeli N — Google review
I stayed three nights at Elounda Palm Hotels & Suites and I loved it. The pool area with the palm trees is stunning and having breakfast there was very pleasant. My spacious Deluxe Infinity Suite was beautifully decorated, had a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom with excellent rain shower. But the cherry on the top was the private infinity pool. I could spend easily the half of my day there catching the early morning sun.
Periclesrosa — Google review
Decent hotel, lovely staff, delicious food, overall value for money. The staff is polite and helpful at all times, room service is very good too. The breakfast is vast and delicious. Spa was great too. I would recommend this hotel.
Panos P — Google review
I stayed at the Elounda Palm Hotel for 2 nights. Upon arrival, the attitude of the reception staff was cold and unwelcoming. We paid a considerable amount for two rooms, 5 persons, and from the very first moment we entered the lobby, we felt unwanted. I want to specifically mention Nicoleta, who greeted us with a bitter demeanor, making us feel unwelcome right from the start. Every time we asked for something, we were met with a kind of sophistry and arrogance that was both frustrating and unhelpful. When I arrived in my room, it initially looked nice and exactly as I had ordered. However, upon opening the fridge, instead of finding cold water bottle I found molded cheese still inside. This was a clear indication of poor cleaning standards and left me questioning the overall hygiene of the hotel. Our family of five also faced an issue with the towels. When we requested fresh towels, we were shocked to learn they wanted to charge us €5 per towel. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. As for the dinner, the buffet was unappetizing, with food that looked so bad it took away any desire to eat. During our stay, the hotel was also infested with mosquitoes, which added to the overall discomfort. If you book come prepared! The only saving grace of our stay was a staff member named Chrisanti. She was kind, helpful, and gave us good information about Elounda. Her positive attitude and assistance were the only highlights of our stay. Ultimately, the most important thing to mention is that when you pay good money for a hotel, you expect good, kind, and polite service. Unfortunately, Elounda Palm Hotel failed to deliver on this front. Our stay was far from worth it, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Sahar K — Google review
Lovely boutique style hotel Very clean, modern and friendly staff. Nice food with a good selection offered buffet style. Lovely shaded pool area Recently added spa Some rooms are smaller than others but you don't stay in room when it's 30 degrees and sunny outside. 10 min walk into the lovely sea side village of Elounda and the islands which are just off shore including Spinalonga which was a 20th century leper colony, now a tourist attraction

Naiades Village Elounda offers clean and spacious rooms with good views, ideally located near a small supermarket. The accommodations feature modern amenities, including Italian showers and some with jacuzzis on the terrace. The hotel is within walking distance of beaches, the port, shops, and restaurants. While the Wi-Fi signal may be weak at times, the friendly staff provides excellent customer service and may even offer room upgrades.
We spent 2 nights at Naiades Village in Elounda and it was really worth it. The accommodation offered great value for money compared to other options in the area. We especially enjoyed the private jacuzzi and the stunning sea view — both made our stay extra relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and a bit of luxury without overpaying!

Guests have praised the Blue Bar for its wide drink selection and serene ambiance. Maria at Reception has been commended for her warmth and professionalism. We had an absolutely amazing stay at this all-inclusive hotel! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The surroundings were breathtaking, with beautiful landscapes that made the whole experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were outstanding — always kind, professional, and ready to help with anything we needed. A special mention goes to the reception team, who were truly incredible and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent, the food and drinks were delicious with plenty of variety, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful. It was the perfect getaway for me and my girlfriend, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to come back again!

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for the second time, and if the first visit already left me amazed, this time it was even better! The location is simply breathtaking, with stunning views over both the sea and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are modern, stylish, and very well maintained, which makes the overall atmosphere both comfortable and elegant. The staff deserve a special mention – always professional, attentive, and ready to help with anything. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to satisfy every taste, and the drinks at the bar were equally impressive. I highly recommend upgrading to the Cool Living option, as this area offers even more privacy and exclusivity. The infinity pools are spectacular and create an unforgettable experience. I’ve seen some reviews raising concerns about this hotel, but honestly, I completely disagree. In my opinion, there is nothing to complain about. Even the shuttle buses to the upper parts of the resort were always on time, and in case of need, the staff kindly arranged additional transport for guests. All in all, this hotel exceeded my expectations once again. It’s a place I would return to without hesitation and one that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious, and unforgettable stay

The staff at Domus Alus Elounda were beyond amazing. Chrissa in particular went above and beyond, she looked after every little detail and made us feel so cared for. The food was delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and everything was seamless from start to finish. What makes this place truly special is the people. I’ve never met kinder, more thoughtful staff. They not only made my birthday trip unforgettable but also helped my fiancé plan the proposal of my dreams, down to the finest detail. This was hands down the most memorable trip of my life, and I can’t thank the team enough. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Endless views, breathtaking location, and the most unique panorama on the island. The staff? Simply 10/10 – warm, kind, and always smiling. Amazing restaurants with rare flavors, endless drinks 🍸, and the best bartenders everywhere – from the beach bar to the lobby. We stayed here this October and were very pleased with the service we received. We were guests of Cool Living and playing the extra price was worth every penny. The food was great across all the restaurants. The buffet had great selection of food and was always different. It was hard to get bookings at the restaurant as you are only able to book once you arrive but staff were very helpful getting that sorted for us. Overall great experience and would defiantly come back. We stayed here this October and were very pleased with the service we received. We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Curio Collection in Crete. From the moment we arrived, the staff around the hotel and at reception were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience seamless. A special thanks to George and Jason. The hotel is conveniently located within a short drive of the main town areas of Elounda and Plaka, allowing easy access to local sights and restaurants. The views from the room were stunning, particularly at sunset and sunrise. The buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes that changed daily. The chef was very helpful in accommodating dietary requirements, which made dining even more enjoyable. The staff were really kind. One small point: restaurant bookings via the app were tricky, and while you can check with reception for availability, most slots were usually booked up. The hotel did get busier towards the end of our trip, but this did not significantly affect our stay. Overall, a fantastic choice for a relaxing Cretan getaway, combining great service, beautiful surroundings, and convenient location.

Elounda Orama is a contemporary hotel located in Elounda, just 700 meters from Elounda Beach. The hotel offers bright rooms, a chic restaurant, an outdoor pool, and a spa. Guests can enjoy amenities such as free private parking, a garden, shared lounge, 24-hour front desk, restaurant with terrace, hot tub, concierge service and free WiFi throughout the property.
We had a lovely five days staying here in a sea view room after our wedding. The room had the most amazing view, large space and balcony. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. We never had any trouble getting a sunbed by the pool. There are quite a lot of steps but there are lifts available and wasn’t a problem for us. The location is really convenient for access to the town and the beach. A really great trip!

Just returned from a week staying at this hotel. We stayed in room 3201 in block C. A wonderful hotel. There is a lift that takes you to floor 4 where the main resturant is, you turn walk to block C and up some stairs to the pool. The pool is beautiful, pool towels are changed every three days at reception unless you are using your own. Maid services the room every day, towels were changed when requested. Breakfast is ok, we only stayed bed and breakfast, there are a number of places to eat in the square so you won’t go hungry. Beautiful hotel, great location, very grateful for the breeze.

We had an amazing stay at Elounda Orama! The hotel itself is incredibly stylish, offering a modern and elegant atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Room service cleaned the rooms daily. The breakfast was a real highlight – a luxurious spread with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. I won’t even mention the stunning view of the sea that you get from the main restaurant. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist with all our questions, and every issue was resolved quickly and easily. I especially want to thank Sofia! Her warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful vacation.

Wonderful vacation at the ELOUNDA ORAMA hotel in Crete. Comfortable room, cleanliness, cozy atmosphere and perfect location. Thanks to all the staff for the high level of service. Many thanks to the restaurant chef Pavlo for the delicious and beautifully presented dishes - every meal was a real pleasure! Special thanks to Karina and Alina, who work in the restaurant hall - always smiling, attentive, professional. Thanks to the bartender Nikas, by the pool - the drinks were wonderful, and the mood was always upbeat! Friendly administration at the reception - everything was organized clearly, quickly and with care for the guests. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Disappointed with the standards in the hotel. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Only experienced dinner on arrival and that was enough. Out of date milk in the room and when requested fresh was given same out of date milk! This happened for the whole stay. Bathroom walls still bare plaster with some broken tiles in shower near the base. Open drain was a trip and health hazard in front of sinks( loose drain cover). Pool water appeared cloudy and pool towels very old and faded. To try and say something positive…reception area clean and reasonably modern and staff here helpful. Room size ok. Would not stay again however and would not recommend. There are lots of places far nicer in Elounda for similar price.

Amazing hotel in a very centre of Elounda village. Staff - super kind and professional! Rooms were great and bed was super comfortable! Breakfast was amazing. Hotel territory is beautiful with garden area. Highly recommend this hotel! Will definitely come back soon!

Lovely sea view room, lifts throughout but quite a lot of steps, typical of coastal resorts. Nice buffet breakfast. Great location.

Just stayed for a week here. Not a bad hotel at all in our experience and would certainly use again. Our room was maybe a little "compact" for us and our ten year old daughter but it was clean, modern and functional. We stayed on B&B basis and the breakfast was perfectly fine. Location is perfect for walking access to the harbour with a great choice of great bars and Tavernas If like us you had to be out of your room by 11am on the last day but no pick up until 6pm theres a communal wash room with clean towels provided which was a good touch. Overall for the money we paid this is not a bad hotel and would certainly use it again.

Elounda Krini Hotel is a peaceful hotel with basic accommodations, an open-air swimming pool, a dining establishment, and breathtaking ocean views. Positioned merely 200 meters from the sandy shores of Elounda Beach in Crete, this hotel offers complimentary internet access and serves a buffet-style breakfast. Crete is indisputably one of the finest Greek islands for seaside vacations.
Superb views, great standards of cleanliness, rooms absolutely everything you'd expect or more for a hotel in this range. Ideally located both for Elounda itself and the peninsula where you have some wonderful wilder beaches. Didn't eat in the hotel much but had breakfast once and dinner once, both of which were excellent value. No hidden charges. This is our second time in Elounda and our first stay here but if we come back again, we won't look anywhere else.

Rooms very clean, bathrooms just ok. Mattress a little on the firm side. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast basic but very nice. Pool lovely and just a short walk down to the sea front restaurants ,bars and amazing views of the mountains
Colleen H — Google review
The hotel was far from what is shown in the pictures when you book. The location is good and parking was usually available. Staff was kind. The rooms were old and small, especially the bathroom (the fixtures were quite rusty). The mattresses were quite terrible and very hard. Soundproof was bad - you could hear everything going on. Cleaning of the room was acceptable. Breakfast was limited and not very high quality (the coffee was good). On the positive side, as announced on a sign, the toaster makes “perfect” toasts (after putting the bread through it 3 times :P). Swimming pool was somewhat dirty (dead bugs) and colored our feet blue :S. Perhaps it is not possible to find something much better for the money in June in Elounda, but if money is not first priority, I would recommend finding something else.
Julián C — Google review
We enjoyed the location just out of town but with short pretty walks to beaches and restaurants. There was a beautiful panoramic view from our balcony and the whole tone was very relaxing. The room was comfortable and felt clean apart from the wet floor in the bathroom caused by a tap that leaked over the edge sometimes and a filter which needs cleaning out. Towels and linen were changed regularly and the reception staff were polite and friendly. Overall we had a lovely time there.
Ann H — Google review
Currently still here and really can't believe some of the previous reviews. Rooms are clean and exactly in line for the very moderate price. Staff are fabulous and extremely helpful, even arranging beverages to be in my room due to my late arrival(email request made). Pool is lovely and good size, plus not overcrowded. Cleaning everyday and room comfortable. Would definitely come back. Thank you everyone at Krini Hotel.

We were sick. Irene and her staff took care of us like we were her own family. We could not have asked for more. Beautiful people with tender and caring hearts. The food is delicious. The chef is an excellent cook but we wished dinner was earlier as it didn't start until 7pm and we like dinner for 5 but that is just personal preference.
Miss K — Google review
Never write a bad review for a place but this place deserves it.. upon arrival there were pubic hairs absolutely everywhere- in the bathroom, by the bed, dust and dirt everywhere. You get the sense that the room has not been deep cleaned for a long time. The furniture is old, the room is tiny, especially the bathroom, and the water from the shower goes everywhere even with the curtain drawn. We had to turn the fridge off because it was so loud at night, and the room generally has a smell of sewage(?). The bar which is advertised never seems to be open, or at least it wasn’t when we were there. The pool and the surrounding area also does not look clean. The walls are also very thin so I was thankful I brought earplugs. Our towels weren’t changed until our 5th day which in our opinion was a bit too long, and the cleaners come round a bit too early in my opinion, about 9:30 (one came in and saw me in my pants). Maria the receptionist however was lovely. Overall though the advertisement of the hotel is not accurate whatsoever and we won’t be back. We have been to hotels right in the centre of elounda which are much cheaper and much cleaner.
Sophia H — Google review
We were put in a room without a number so had difficulty finding it at first until the receptionist found us and showed us where to go. On entering, the room didn't feel clean, hair strewn across the floor, in the sink and just dust everywhere. I didn't feel comfortable enough to remove my shoes. There was also sewage water in the bathroom, which was unfortunately soaked up by one of my dresses as I used the loo. I was very upset by this and on reporting it to the receptionist (not the same one who checked us in), she said 'okay, I've noted your request and will get back to you'. We did not feel this was an appropriate way to respond to literal sewage water in our bathroom, so we decided to wait in the lobby until she reached a solution. She went up to the room to investigate and on her return said 'its only a little bit'. I was in complete disbelief at this point and responded, 'well yes, because most of it has been soaked up by my dress!'. We were eventually told we could move to a new room but were told, and her words, 'you're lucky we have a room for you to move to because we're fully booked'. Just utter rudeness and carelessness for their guests' experience. Our new room still had hair strewn across the floor, again dust everywhere, including on the floor and in cabinets. The shower rail fell, narrowly missing my head as it did while I was getting out. The biodegradable tablets as handsoap, shampoo etc are just awful. Avoid if you want a comfortable and relaxing holiday. Pool was not inviting, we did not go in, and never saw anyone in it. Breakfast was okay, but not fresh. Reheated food, including beans and moldy bread!

Lodging
Nestled in Elounda, the Traditional Homes Of Crete offers a stylish 3-star accommodation with convenient shuttle service and car rental options. The property features a lovely private pool with stunning views and ample space for relaxation. While some minor inconveniences like unusual electrics and lack of basic household items have been noted, the hotel provides good value for money. Guests are advised to bring earplugs due to occasional noise from neighboring properties.
Review 9: Sharing pool house Penelope Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at Sharing pool house Penelope was nothing short of exceptional. The house's rustic charm and comfortable amenities made it a perfect home away from home. The shared pool was a great place to cool off and mingle with other guests (just 2 in my case staying at the house Demetra), fostering a sense of community and creating lasting memories. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality of the staff made my stay truly unforgettable.
Bekim L — Google review
Lovely private but small (unheated) pool with view and plenty of space for two. Really good for the price. No 'bait and switch' for us as other reviews say, but we are extremely early season! It’s not perfect, no real cutlery, no house basics like oil and salt, the electrics are odd, and plugs/lights work a bit randomly, the external car park is filled with wood and a mattress so not very tidy. Bring earplugs as next door's dog barks all night and morning so hard to sleep in. And finally, the cleaner came knocking at 9am rather than 11am which was our checkout time, then just hung around outside waiting for us to leave.... felt rushed so not a relaxing lie in final morning.

Classic bait and switch Airbnb operator. Has beautiful pictures selling a unit that is suddenly unavailable due to some major (electrical in our case) and then you are transferred to this dump. Actually this is not total dump just an awkward place with no amenities but it was misrepresented and I was cheated

Misrepresented. This was rented to us as an Airbnb but where we booked was unavailable and this was the alternate. Weird space with no architectural sensibility and insufficient facilities, tiny underpowered AC, no utensils, uncomfortable beds etc.

Great apartments just next to the sandy beach of Elouda! The hosts are very friendly and sweet people and helped us with anything we needed. We were a couple with a baby and they provided us with a baby bed, high chair and a bath seat, that made our stay more than comfortable. The rooms are extremely clean and very well equipped. It is highly recommended and we will definitely return soon!

Elounda is a stunning place and I wanted to spend a couple of nights here, rather than just passing through. This place had amazing feedback so a no-brainer. I arrived early, the owner apparently had an emergency (not communicated to me, I found out through other guests) so I was struggling to communicate with the cleaning lady as I wanted to park the car and come back at the agreed time. When I did come back, still nobody, just a key in the door of what I presumed was my room. So I had to reach out to the owner, no proactive communication from her. Kind of strange. And I never met her, despite everybody saying how friendly she was. Despite my check-in experience. The appartment is generous and nicely equipped with, as booked, sea view and the main road leading to Plaka but the bedroom is at the back, so not noisy. At the back there is another balcony, very charming under the olive trees but no seating opportunity? So only for drying your handwashing? Again, kind of strange. The bed is terrible, so far down it feels like a child's bed and not for the elderly who may struggle to get in and out. Very uncomfortable but the mainly are on Crete. Cleansliness gets very good rating but not for me. Crumbs left in cupboard from previous guests and the kettle was in a terrible state and the cherry on top: stained bedlinen. That is an absolute no-no in my books. All in all, this was below my expectations but believe if the owners took time and care to objectively go round and assess and remedy the weak spots, it could be what it is described to be. It feels like they have fallen out of love with the whole business venture but are now stuck with it.

Costas is a great host! Being a local he gives you the best tips. I was a solo traveler but I never felt alone thanks to him! The apartment is super clean, has everything you would need. It was a lot of space for one person, you could also stay as a couple.

Very comfortable and clean property in the centre of the village. Kosta is a kind and considerate host and I would highly recommend staying in this delightful property. Kosta’s own olive oil and raki were another plus 🙂

We stayed for 11 nights and had the most amazing time. Kostas is a perfect host, picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, gave us lots of info about the local area and recommendations for tavernas etc. The house is spotlessly clean and the bed is really comfy. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the local area, quick access to shops and restaurants, 5 mins to the beach. Although it’s centrally located, just off the village square, there is no noise at all - just the cicadas! Kostas is great company, his house is gorgeous and Elounda is magical! Thanks Kostas for a fabulous stay

I've recently returned from Elounda. I stayed at Elounda Square Home. Its a 10/10 for me. The appt is amazing, so much space, everything you need is there. The bed is super comfortable. Your right in the middle of everything, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The beach is a 5 min walk. I would highly recommend staying here. The family/owners are lovely, I found fruit in my fridge on return from a hard day at the beach! See you next year Konstantinos 😊

I had a wonderful stay at Elounda Square Home. The apartment is located at 1 minute walk from the centre square of Elounda and 3 minutes walk from the main beach. Konstantinos and his family are so welcoming and friendly and helpful. The bedroom is at groundlevel and the kitchen and bathroom are on the first floor. The bed is comfortable and of good quality. To get upstairs you need to use the spiral staircase which is quite narrow. There is a small balcony from which you can spot the sea. Although you are very close to the restaurants etc the street is very quiet at night. I will definitely come back to this lovely apartment.

Iliana Seaside House is a charming accommodation located near Kolokitha beach, offering a comfortable stay with amenities such as a flat screen TV and cable. The house features 2 bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and 1 bathroom. Situated on the ground floor but elevated for a homely feel, it boasts a spacious terrace providing stunning views of Elounda Bay where guests can relax in the sun or enjoy the evening breeze.
(Translated by Google) Just Perfect! We spent a wonderful week in this apartment. It is located on the ground floor, but elevated so as to be "at home" all the same. A large terrace allows you to lounge in the sun (in the morning) or cool off (in the evening) with a magnificent view of Elounda Bay. The location is just a little out of the way and therefore less busy than the center and remains quiet, even at night. on one side a "classy" restaurant and on the other a well-kept bar. In addition, the rooms are courtyard side, so quiet. There is all the necessary equipment, including a washing machine, ironing board with iron, hair dryer, etc. Cleaning is done once in the middle of the week, with change of sheets and towels. Private parking is available right in front, in Elounda this is very important!! Convenience stores are within walking distance, either on the street just behind or towards the port. The only downside for those who like to read in bed: the bedside lamps are ridiculously insufficient. With good bedside lighting I would have given it 6 stars out of 5!! (Original) Juste Parfait !

We have just stayed at the lliana sea side house for five nights in Sept 21. This is a lovely, fully equipped ground floor apartment literally just 10 metres from the shore of the Bay of Elounda. We arranged with the agent that we booked with to leave the keys in a secure key lock device near to the main entrance so there was no time wasted checking in or waiting around. Very clean and tidy with plenty of amenities provided including a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, ironing board and a large fridge freezer in the kitchen area. Every room is equipped with A/C. There are two large double bedrooms each with a wardrobe and we had plenty of space for all out stuff, the only gripe was that both bedroom's old metal door hinges are really noisy when opening\closing the doors - noisy enough to wake everyone up during the night when going to the toilet etc and the door to our bedroom (the left hand side one as you walk towards them) did not stay shut so we had to lock it with the key to keep it closed for privacy. Although the bed was a good size we found it was uncomfortable and also the bed was very noisy, creaking with the slightest movement so this would need sorting to aide a peaceful and comfy nights sleep. The living\dining room is a decent size with the two double sliding patio doors providing access the balcony\terrace overlooking the bay, outside there's a patio table and chairs where we enjoyed a few relaxing drinks each evening, this is also the pefect place to watch the sun rise. In the living\dining room there's a large glass dining table, a corner sofa that pulls out into another bed and there's a flat screen TV with a home cinema\DVD player. This room also has a bar in the corner with a couple of bar stools. The sea side location is perfect and offers a fantastic vista of the bay and of Kalydon peninsula opposite, we were lucky enough to observe a full moon rise which was spectacular. There are plenty of restaurants either side of the apartment including one next door (Lotus Eaters) and the Isalos Cafe Bar on the other side which offers a decent selection of drinks & cocktails (and a quality Margarita - the lovely staff here agreed to bring some drinks directly to our table on the balcony). Within walking distance is the main square where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants, taxi rank, gift shops and a few supermarkets. At the rear of the appartment (sea facing side) are two gravelled parking bays of which, the left hand side is reserved for the lliana ground floor apartment so you can park right outside the balcony area, very handy if you have a hire car like we did. During our five nights/six days we did not see any housekeeping service and also had to contact the agent to request some plastic waste bags for both the kitchen and the toilet waste bins as there were no spares. Outside the kitchen and both bedrooms is a nice long narrow courtyard that runs the whole width of the apartment and has a small bistro patio table and chairs along with a pull out clothes airer to dry your towels etc. Beautiful Skisma beach is under 10 minutes walk away where there are plenty of sun beds/umbrellas that cost €3pp and the optional umbrella costs an additional €2, the sea is lovely and warm and quite sandy under the feat with a few small pebbles here and there as you wade in but nothing to warrant needing rock shoes (at the main car park end). You can buy boat trip tickets to Spinalonga in the car park and board the boat from the same place which takes about 15 mins each way to Spinalonga and costs €12pp return, first boat departed at 09:45 during September 2021. Overall this is a decent sized, fully functional apartment\holiday home in a great location facing the sea.
