Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium, also known as Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, is a compact yet fascinating destination showcasing a diverse collection of marine life. Situated on an 8-acre plot, this aquarium boasts over 100 species of tropical fish, including groupers, catfish, sharks, and stingrays. Visitors can witness captivating moon jellyfish and sea nettles in the jellyfish tank during feeding time.
Visited this beautiful aquarium during my trip to Kerala and it was such a peaceful and fascinating experience! The place is well-maintained with a wide variety of vibrant and exotic fish species. From colourful tropical fish to rare marine creatures, everything was displayed so beautifully. It’s a perfect spot for families, kids, and anyone who loves nature.
Keerthi S — Google review
I visited here once when it was inaugurated. It was a beautiful ecosystem for marine life. Fish were lively with a lot of corals. Now due to lack of maintenance/ negligence it’s completely in shabby. Most of the tanks have dead fishes. Almost all corals are dead. Most fishes are in very bad shape. It’s heart breaking. Has place to park the car on the road. Vizhinjam port and light house is also nearby.
Deepak V — Google review
I honestly don’t know what to comment. I was truly disappointed after visiting the famous Vizhinjam Aquarium, a place I had longed to see since childhood. Today’s visit felt like a mistake—I wish I had postponed it and kept the beautiful image alive in my heart. Sadly, the aquarium has fallen below even the standards of Neyyar Aquarium. Please, do something—just a little effort could make it so much better.
Joshin C — Google review
The aquarium in Kovalam is a destination well worth visiting, offering guests an engaging experience that can easily fill at least an hour. While the selection of fish species on display is somewhat limited, the exhibits remain captivating and are sure to leave a lasting impression. Particularly noteworthy are the sharks, turtles, and eels, which stand out as highlights of the aquarium. Observing these fascinating creatures up close provides a unique opportunity for both adults and children to appreciate their beauty and behaviour. Despite the modest variety, the quality of the displays makes it a worthwhile stop during your time in Kovalam.
Charles A — Google review
This place is very fabulous with a wide variety of marine species which we saw many types for the first time including the sea turtle and other different fishes.place is easy to locate and just 50 something for the ticket I think and the place is totally worth for marine and fish lovers
Akshay R — Google review
It's a small aquarium but we'll maintained. Entry fee is very cheaper. Can plan to expand more species and the infra in future.
Mouli S — Google review
I visited the aquarium on a Sunday and still it was not that frowned. There weren't many fishes on display but it was good count altogether. My 2 year old daughter enjoyed it and so it was worth it. :-)
Anand S — Google review
My dad took me here a while back, and I thought it was just a regular aquarium with some fish and sea creatures. But I was completely wrong. Inside, there are so many different species to explore, making it a fascinating experience. Outside, we also saw a small shark, several adorable turtles, and some big fish. Overall, it was a great experience!

Lighthouses
Nestled near the picturesque Kovalam beach in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, the Vizhinjam Lighthouse is a striking red-and-white striped beacon that has been guiding sailors since its completion in 1972. Standing tall at 36 meters on Kurumkal Hill, this lighthouse not only serves as a vital navigational aid but also offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding lush landscapes.
A Hidden Gem with a Breathtaking View! Vizhinjam Lighthouse is an absolute must-visit if you're near Kovalam or Thiruvananthapuram. It's not a very large lighthouse, but the view from the top is incredible. You get a 360-degree panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, nearby beaches, and the surrounding greenery. The climb to the top is short but steep—around 140 steps and a narrow spiral staircase at the end. It’s manageable for most people, and totally worth it for the scenery. The breeze up there is refreshing, especially around sunset. The lighthouse is well-maintained and there’s a small museum that gives you some interesting background on maritime history and navigation. Staff were polite and helpful. Pro tip: Try to go during clear weather, preferably in the late afternoon, and bring your camera—the sunset view is unforgettable! Entry Fee: Very reasonable (₹20–₹30 when I visited). Timing: Check before going, as it sometimes closes around noon and reopens in the afternoon. Parking: Available nearby. Highly recommended if you're in the area and want to enjoy a peaceful spot with a stunning view. 🌅

Standing at a height of 30 metres, the tower offers a remarkable vantage point, providing sweeping views of the landscape. The elevated position allows guests to appreciate the scenery from a unique perspective, making it a memorable stop during the trip. For photography enthusiasts, the tower is an ideal spot. The panoramic view from the top is perfect for capturing stunning photographs, whether of the natural beauty or the bustling activity below. Even at the entrance and the areas located beneath the tower, there are numerous photo opportunities. These locations allow visitors to take advantage of different angles and lighting conditions, ensuring a diverse collection of memorable images from their visit. But don't visit on the Monday.

Vizhinjam Lighthouse is one of the must-visit spots near Kovalam. The view from the top is absolutely stunning — you get a full panoramic view of the coastline, the blue sea, and the nearby beaches. The climb to the top is short but a little steep, totally worth it once you see the view. The place is well maintained and organized, with proper timings for entry. There’s also a small museum area that showcases the history of lighthouses, which is pretty interesting. It’s usually not too crowded if you go early in the morning or around sunset, and the lighting during those times makes it perfect for photos. Parking is available nearby as well. Overall, a beautiful spot to visit for views, photos, and a bit of peaceful time by the sea.

Samudra Beach in Kovalam is a peaceful, secluded beach and park offering picturesque scenery, sunset views, and opportunities for water sports, photography, and local fishing activities. While there may not be a formal park with a separate entrance, it provides a serene alternative to the more crowded Kovalam beaches, featuring a beautiful coastal landscape with a retaining wall for access. Visitors should be aware of strong currents, so swimming is not recommended.

Raj and I chose this beautiful spot to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The stunning location, with our seating right by the beach, made it even more special. The service was outstanding, really attentive and warm. We shared some delicious Grilled Crab and pizza, both of which delighted our taste buds. Watching the sunset together was incredibly enchanting, and it felt like the perfect way to commemorate such a meaningful occasion. We had a wonderful time that we’ll always cherish.
Abirami G — Google review
Popular for their seafood speciality in Kovalam. The restaurant is housed under Taj Resort and is open to both residents & non-residents. Perched between the sea and the lagoon, it offers a fabulous view and ambience of dining by the sea. There is a private beach access from the restaurant too, but it's usually advised not to venture in as the tide can be strong. The food is delicious, we ordered grilled sea crabs in a traditional kerala style preparation. The service was a bit slow but the overall experience is worth the while. Prior reservation recommended.
Sugandha S — Google review
Bait is hands down one of the best beachside dining experiences in Trivandrum. We ordered the Seafood Sampler, Lamb Pepperoni Pizza, and Classic Crème Brûlée—and every single dish was superb. The seafood was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, the Lamb Pepperoni Pizza had a delicious twist that made it stand out, and the Crème Brûlée was the perfect, indulgent finish to the meal. The ambience by the beach is unbeatable—relaxing waves, breezy vibes, and a beautifully set shack that makes you want to sit back and enjoy for hours. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with friends, family, or even for a cozy dinner by the sea. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall, Bait offers the complete beach shack experience—great food, stunning ambience, and wonderful hospitality. A must-visit if you want to enjoy the best of seafood and good vibes right by the ocean.

As the other reviews say… a tranquil evening spent while watching the sunset and enjoying the sound of waves splashing among the well maintained lawns. The service was top notch, a special thanks to Mr Jyoti and Mr Suman for making sure we were well taken care of. Food was scrumptious, we are vegetarians and although it says famous for sea food… we had more than plenty of options to choose from and worth the price. Last but not the least- shout out to their celebratory chocolate cake- we had to eat inspite of being full. Amazing

Great dining experience that combines a fantastic location, good food and great service. Went for a dinner with family, we felt like we understood what we were paying for. Even though they officially open for dinner at 7, they accommodated us from 6 15 itself. The views in the walk from the parking to the restaurant were stunning.

The location is amazing, and the service, but being a keralite, i must say the food is dissatisfying, you get much better sea food elsewhere. I will not recommend this place for those looking for a dine out. 3000+ per person is purely unjustified, except for the location. Also they serve only beer and whine, they bluffed us claiming they serve ‘drinks’ while booking the table.

Kovalam, a beach town in southern India, is known for its natural beauty and millennia-old traditions. The area offers a variety of attractions, including the Arabian Sea coastline and top-rated restaurants. Fusion stands out as one of the best hangout spots in Kovalam, offering a great ambiance and diverse culinary influences.
Fusion is one of the luckiest restaurant on a beach; impressive sea view, great vegetarian and Ayuravedic foods options; accommodative stuff. Special thank you to Ajith; I was coming back to beach very late, and he was very helpful getting me food even after hours.

Great spot for coffee and work/read with a view. The food is a hit or miss depends on the COOK! Small dishes for the price, but the problem is not the price, it is the service and kitchen! I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. I repeated many times and with hand gestures to have the cheese IN the eggs. You don’t need me to end the story… you get it. The rest of our food came out wrong or overcooked. I just try not to send food back in kitchens I don’t know. We voiced our issues to the server who brought the manager. We asked for a salad (how wrong can you go with a salad) that is in the launch menu and were told that the cook don’t know how to make it as he is the morning cook (10:30am) and launch is at 11am. I will come back for coffee and work on the computer with a view. You won’t see me eating here. Go to German Bakery, Prawns Nest or Banana Leaf. Better service and quality food.

The food is still amazing here with choices from the East, the West .. and Fusion. The view is nice on the beach and it’s a bit more chilled air than right at the beach. Compared to six years ago the service sucks. There is just one, nice waitress working there. The rest are grim looking men with belly and beard not being welcoming at all.

Thanks to a friend who suggested this place and I discovered after living here for 32 months. Better late than never. Hence sharing this post so that you don’t miss it. Food choices and quality, food presentation, service design , attention to details, and to top it up, the location. Fantastic. Whether as a family or couple or just for catching up with friends , highly recommended. Cheers

Visit for the view, not the food. Ordered some sandwiches - veg & non veg. The breads for both these sandwiches were hard as brick. I kid you not, but those were harder than rusk. Literally had to eat the filling and leave the rest. Banana split was ok. Nothing special. Great view, good service.

Absolutely bang on the beach with a stunning lighthouse view! We tried the English breakfast and it was really good. Loved it so much that we came back the next day for dinner and had butter chicken, which was delicious. Pineapple juice was too good .Great food and a fantastic location make it a must-visit!

Nice ambience, it’s right in front of the beach. The food was good, both the home made potato wedges/fries and the grilled king fish were great. The person at reception was not that polite. The place could have been cleaner.

I don't recommend the beef. I got food poisoning from a burger I ate there 2 weeks ago. That was my second visit since the first time I had butter chicken and that was delicious. The burger was also overpriced for the very small size. It was in between the size of an appetizer slider and regular burger. The menu said it comes with fries. They served 4 small potato wedges. Service is slow. There are young servers who barely speak English. One young boy who works there is shy and doesn't come by to check on you. I really like the restaurants layout and decor. The vibe is good. The food and service needs improvement. If it wasnt for the butter chicken I would've given 2 stars overall.

We were here a good time, the ambience is good and peaceful, beer is bad and and we have ordered a chicken fried rice that was also bad. I expected a little more food quality here. The price that we payed for beer here was 350 rupees and we are asked to put the beer bottles down on floor and not on the table

Beatles Café sits right on the seaside pathway at Kovalam Beach, offering a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea and the Vizhinjam Lighthouse. From the outside, it looks inviting—the whole café is designed with wooden interiors, giving it a rustic feel, and the seating arrangement is comfortable enough to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sea breeze. On ambience and location, the café scores well. Now, coming to the food—this is where things fell apart for me. We were two people, and we ordered: • Margherita Pizza (₹600) – Honestly, a big disappointment. The flavor was flat, the texture was off, and it didn’t taste like something worth even ₹200. If I had to rate it, it would be a minus one out of five. • Vegetable Sandwich (₹300) – Decent, I’d give it a three out of five. The sandwich itself was average, but the potato wedges served alongside were actually the star of the meal—crispy, seasoned well, and easily a five on five. The major downside? The pricing. We ended up paying around ₹1,100 for just these two items and left neither full nor satisfied. For that cost, the food should’ve been far more flavorful and substantial. What I did like, though, was the service. The staff were polite, attentive, and kept checking if we needed anything else. Service was quick, and that’s probably the one saving grace here. 🌟 Pros: • Lovely seaside location with views of the lighthouse. • Wooden, rustic seating that feels cozy. • Attentive and quick service. ⚠️ Cons: • Overpriced food with very poor flavor. • Quantity too small for the cost. • Ambience nice, but honestly, the vibe didn’t feel very “Beatles” or special—it felt like just another café. Rating: 2/5 – Go for the view and maybe a drink or some light snacks, but if you’re looking for a good meal, this might not be the place.

Lovely place! Really cool and breezy overlooking the sea, excellent service- we had Papadams with raita to start and then prawn curry which was delicious and also an amazing fish pie with delicious cheese sauce and veg! Definitely recommend 👍

This restaurant is located on first floor on Light house beach Road. They have a vast range of menu items, that's why we chose it. The vegetarian food was not great but it was not too bad either. They have books placed right at the entrance to pick and read while eating. The restaurant is open with ocean breeze and fans helping you cool down after your walk. We stopped here for dinner. I liked the tandoori butter roti. The sea food was a bit better than the vegetarian items.

Great View, very close to beach! Average food, not worth the cost! Poor service and most of the items in the menu wasn’t available

The restaurant is located on the first floor and offers a spectacular view of the beach while having food. The food is decent. We ordered masala tea and ginger lemon honey tea , both were not so good. We also ordered omelette which was decent.

Really good restaurant facing the beach. Food is good and lots of options for coffee, juices and energizer drinks. I only had breakfast and it was good. In general the restaurants in this area are pricey.

Really nice cafe on the first floor with a sea view, away from the hussle and sellers whilst eating, great friendly staff, food all fresh and over 2 days we had various food from sandwiches to fries to pizza to rice to vegetables all very nice, we also recommend the filter coffee the best I've had since being in South India. The prices very good also.

Ideal for brunch. You’d come to this cafe specifically for European and American style specialties, including real brewed coffee, fresh juices, proper salads, and their famous rosti which is like a plate-size latke. I recommend all of these particularly the delicious Energizer juice which I had as a variation with carrot, ginger, and parsley. It’s second storey with a great view of the beach. The staff were very nice and super helpful at accommodating my restricted diet - and when I returned they remembered all the things I couldn’t eat. There’s free wifi and you can sit watch the waves and chill….

Right on the light house beach, kovalam, this is a pretty nice set up. Great ambience nice view of the sea, ocean breeze, friendly staff..in short a great place to hangout. But the food is not up to the mark. Its not that it tastes bad or something, but for the price its not worth. If they could just improve the food it would be one the best places to hangout at the beach.

Located within the Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa in Kovalam, Kerala, The Tides is a top-rated restaurant offering a luxurious dining experience with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Specializing in seafood, the restaurant boasts an extensive menu featuring various preparations of lobsters, crabs, and fish. Guests can also choose from a wide selection of wines and cocktails to accompany their meals.
Despite the kitchen not being open all day or the lack of a variety of drinks n dishes, the food was AMAZING (of the two things I ordered) and service was excellent (they helped in getting me a safe way back to my guesthouse) and being by their beach to enjoy ones glass of wine speaks for itself. The management should definitely look into hiring a good bartender, adding more alcohol to their collection and getting the place rolling! Nevertheless I’d come back for the food itself and the sesame sauce, I do regret going there only on my final night of my stay! The sesame sauce was to die for, a must try with everything that you order! Muah, chef’s kiss!

I just wanted to take a moment to share my wonderful experience at your beachside dining restaurant. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere that immediately set the mood for a fantastic evening. I am truly grateful to Ms. Sashi for her exceptional service; she truly went above and beyond to ensure that my dine-in experience was both enjoyable and memorable. It’s not often that you come across such attentive and courteous staff who genuinely care about their guests' satisfaction. The atmosphere at your restaurant was incredibly uplifting and created the perfect backdrop for dining. The decor, the sound of the waves, and the gentle breeze all contributed to a memorable evening. It was absolutely worth every penny spent! Additionally, the live music from Sam was truly the cherry on top of a perfect evening! His talent and the personally curated playlist added an enchanting ambiance that complemented the experience beautifully. Kudos to the entire team for your hard work and dedication. It’s clear that you all put a lot of effort into creating a wonderful dining experience. I'm a very happy customer and can't wait to return! I will surely recommend your restaurant to my friends and family. Thank you once again for a delightful evening!

Went there with colleagues for company get together and dinner with our CEO. It was a very beautiful place and nice atmosphere and experience. Very calm. But I won't say the food was exceptional. It wasn't that kind of a 5 star experience. Just some fine dining experience. But still I liked it.

Beautiful setting at the sea shore with private beach . The staff was friendly though the cost of food and beverage is on the higher side is a place to visit . We enjoyed the view and the bite . The beer was chilled and awesome but the experience was impacted as the quality of wine was awful. Sediments in the bottle and after the staff saw that they gave us a bad wine to charge us for it was not acceptable so I would say that was disappointing. To all wine drinkers avoid this restaurant rather have a beer .

Waste of time. Discrimination towards bikers. Traveled from trivandrum to this restaurant. I went to dine in my bike and they told bikes are not allowed. Told us to park the bikes outside. Only cars are allowed inside. Very sad and disheartening. I have to pay so much for the food but they don't allow my bike to be parked.

This is a lovely place for you if you want to have a lunch facing the pristine Kovalam beach …ideal for romantic couples, quiet family lunch …the sea definitely calms things down for you …the cuisine is pan Asian which includes Chinese Thai and Japanese …I would say Thai dominated the options …ordered fried rice , jasmine rice and Thai red curry in addition to Tom Yam soup …all the preparation did justice to the Thai cuisine …Hospitality shown by Mr Sujit is really praise worthy…Mr Pascal who is the chef of the cuisine paid a visit to ensure he gets a first hand feedback of the awesomeness he gives to the plate …overall a must visit if you’re on for a luxurious date in Trivandrum

Amazing restaurant for seafood or traditional cuisine. We have eaten Keralan flavours here for dinner and today we had the most incredible seafood lunch. Sali is a friendly host and owner - and arranged for fresh lobster to be caught. 20 mins from the sea to our table being eaten!! Absolutely delicious and followed by a birthday cake for my husband which was a thoughtful touch. Views are amazing from the restaurant and team are welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area

So thankful that Sali stopped us on the small road and asked if we wanted to have lunch at their place. We decided to come with him. Happy for us! Amazing food, service and view. The calamari’s is the best I ever had. So tonight we had to go back for dinner. We had grilled fish and it was so good! Fresh and tasty. I could really recommend this place. Thanks Sali for stoping us, we will come back, already tomorrow.

The bakery offers a pleasant dining experience, making it one of the best places to eat in Kovalam. With its beach town location on the Arabian Sea, Kovalam attracts tourists looking for an enjoyable culinary experience.
Very nice, relaxing and clean place with amazing view! Healthy good food with many vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu. We have been here 5 days in a row and liked everything we have ordered: eggs perfectly baked, tasty dark brown bread, delicious fruit salad, loved the french toast, the cheese fritters, the salads, vegetable pakora and vegetable biryani! Their café latté and massala chai is also very good. On top of that very friendly service by Krishna and Raju. Special thanks to Raju who was our waiter every time except once. I can't remember ever having such a peaceful, kind, pro-active and descreet waiter. We recommend this place! ❤️
Inge V — Google review
I recently visited this place, and while the view was stunning, the service left much to be desired. It was evident that the staff prioritized foreigners over locals, which was disappointing and discriminatory. The waiter attending to us didn’t take our order properly. I ordered pasta and cold coffee, but even after we finished the pasta, there was no sign of the coffee. When we enquired, we realized the waiter had either forgotten or ignored the order. The pasta sauce was excellent, probably the highlight of the meal, even though the pasta itself wasn’t remarkable. However, the cold coffee was extremely bitter and unpleasant. Overall, the location and view are fantastic, but the service and attention to detail need serious improvement.

One of the worst food I ever had. Zero flavour profile! Drinks, main dish sandwich all were underwhelming and a big let down. The view is really good and coffee is decent and the service is on time and fast but the main item aka the food is horrible. Avoid the place if you love your taste buds because the dishes and drinks are picturesque but not palatable.

I liked the food here very much. Their items are very good and unique. I ate chicken. I ate cumin rice and mushroom soup. I could not take a photo of the plate but its view and the food are very good. The price is a little high. Usually wherever you go in Kovalam, the price is a little high because it is on the witch side. That is why the food is very good. The service is also very good. The view of the beach is also good. If it was a little pocket friendly, it would have been very great.

Every dish was delicious. Among them Kadai Fish was the star item which was served in a sizzling kadai. Only Butter Naan was not upto the mark. Staffs are well behaved. They accept cash, card and GPay.

This place is the most crowded and happening restaurant in Kovalam Beach. Most of the tables will be occupied by foreigners however I haven't observed any preferences given towards them. So I can propose that this restaurant is equally good for foreigners and Indian citizens as well. Sea foods are the most sorted out dishes in the menu, you can try some of the dishes with prawns which was excellent. Even their breakfast menu seems to be ok. Being Indian I wanted some extra spices in all my food I ordered and the staffs where happy to understand my taste and serve me well. During my stay at Kollam I had visited this restaurant 5 to 6 times and never had any unsatisfying experience. Hence I would suggest that if you are planning to visit Kovalam please try to visit this restaurant once and share your experience.

In my opinion, it’s the best veg restaurant in Kovalam close to the beach, a bit hidden but easy to find. Once we came there, we’d have brunch and dinner there daily. Huge menu, reasonable prices, delicious NOT spicy food, fast service and very nice stuff. Portions are quite big (for a woman), therefore you can ask to have half of the portion. Absolutely recommend it!

The best restaurant in Kovalam! You must to go without exception! Unni is the guy will attend you and serving all of people! That's maybe the problem about 19pm that restaurant is always full and you can wait for your meal 1 or 1.30 hours. That's not problem of this kind guy but also the manager of this restaurant. You should try the fruit plate for starting your day, the kerala coffee (really good) and every vegetable meal with kerala parotha! Each veggie meal can be about 150-180-200 rps. I came that place every day in my stage in Kovalam ! Thank you for make happier my belly and my digestion!😀

It is my favorite restaurant in Kovalam: calm ,next to the ancient temple with a very friendly staff and delicious fresh food. I returned there nearly every day during my stay in Kovalam, for breakfast, lunch, diner. All was fresh, cooked on demand and tasty. I loved all the curries, dal, butter masala paneer, all types of veggies in different sauces. Indian breakfasts, including masala dosa and iddly are delicious. If you have a chance to have thali for lunch, don’t hesitate, it is a pleasure for your eyes and stomach! Kerala coffee is worth trying, it reminded me Turkish coffee, tasty! I appreciated everything: service, fresh ingredients, delicious food, very attentive personnel. Thank you 😊

Not easy to find this restaurant. There are only 2 vegan restaurants options on light house beach. This is one among them. So if you are vegan then you will thank God to find this place. The ambience is average, open space restaurant ranging from Indian, Asian to continental option. I found the response from the staff bit dull, when went for lunch it was just empty. So I was expecting they had all time and resource to provide service. The paneer pakoda was only good. We ordered potato gobi carry and mushroom masala. The taste was not good, even though one was ordered less spicy and another moderate. The French fries were not at all good, not boiled and cooked properly. The shapes were too big for it to cook we felt. I dropped my plan of trying something continental here later.

Suprabhatham is an organic veg restaurant located in the end of one of the alleys opposite Kovalam beach. The restaurant is a little tricky to find if you don't find the correct alley. The afternoon we dined we had the whole place to ourselves which resulted in good service. We ordered Fried rice and Pakodas which are made to order and tasted quite good. The menu is pretty versatile catering to both the Indian and foreign crowds that throng the beach. Accepting cards or wallets in addition to cash could bring in more crowd. Dined in : Oct 2019

We have a mixed feelings about this place. The restaurant is beautifully settled near the small pond and has the peaceful vibes. However, the food was below our expectations. Our usual order was Malai Kofta, dhal and plain basmati rice. Plus naan and chapati. Nothing special, just the average food. I would say that the prices are a little big higher than in the similar restaurants.

I visited this restaurant with my parents and we had ordered a wheat parrotta with their special kadai and bhindi masala for dinner. The food was quite tasty, freshly prepared & served hot & quick. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a pure veg restaurant. *A special mention* What really made the experience special was Shiva's kindness. We found the restaurant through a local route that was scary for us as it was dark.... We were worried about making it back safely and Shiva kindly offered to accompany us !! Lonely Planet....the only pure vegetarian restaurant available in Kovalam beach area. Tricky to find this place as it is located a bit interior part from the main beach area. You can ask locals to find out this place. Tried their tomato rice which was below average. Their idli was on point along with their masala Tea. Veg cheese sandwich was quite decent. Service at this restaurant was quite slow even the place was hardly occupied with a couple of tables. Overall and average place to have vegetarian options at kovalam beach.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport

International airport
Airport
Domestic airport
Trivandrum International Airport is the main airport serving Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, offering both domestic and international flights. It is conveniently connected to the city center by regular buses, with the central railway station and bus station complex located nearby. As Kerala's first airport and India's sixth international airport, it has been modernized with new facilities and architecture while maintaining a clean and green environment.
Trivandrum Airport is fairly well-maintained and offers a smooth travel experience overall. The airport is clean, with decent seating arrangements and basic facilities like washrooms and food stalls available. Security and immigration processes were organized, though during peak hours, there can be a bit of waiting. Staff were polite and helpful throughout. However, the airport is relatively small compared to other international airports, and waiting areas can feel a bit crowded at times. Some improvements in signage and more food options would enhance the experience. Still, it's convenient and well-connected — a good gateway to Kerala!

I had such a smooth and pleasant experience at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. The airport is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. The staff were polite and helpful, which made the whole process hassle-free. I loved how organized the check-in and security was quick and efficient. The waiting areas are comfortable, and everything felt calm without being overcrowded. What stood out most for me was the overall neatness and the friendly atmosphere, which made the journey feel relaxed right from the start. A truly welcoming airport that gives a great first impression of Kerala.

This was my first trip, and I had a great experience at the airport! Everything was well-organized and easy to follow. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I wasn’t sure where to go. The check-in and security process went smoothly, and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time traveling, but the clear signs and polite staff made everything stress-free. Overall, a really positive first travel experience 🥰

Trivandrum International Airport is decent but could use some improvements. The check-in and security process is fairly smooth, though the infrastructure feels a bit outdated compared to newer airports. Cleanliness is okay, but maintenance in certain areas could be better. Limited food options and shops, especially for domestic travelers. Staff are generally helpful, though service can be slow during peak hours. Overall, a functional airport, but it has scope for modernization and expansion.

A fantastic experience! The washrooms are neat and clean, and while they might be small, they are very well-organized. It's great to see that there are also gift shops available in the arrival hall. For transportation, the taxi stand is right outside, and Uber is also available, making it easy to get around.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport offers a smooth travel experience with well-maintained facilities and efficient operations. The check-in and security procedures are generally streamlined, and staff conduct themselves professionally. The terminal is clean and organized, with adequate seating and essential amenities. However, the food and retail options remain limited compared to other major airports, and peak-hour congestion can be noticeable. Overall, it is a reliable and convenient airport, with scope for further enhancement in passenger comfort and service variety.

Had a fairly normal experience at Trivandrum International Airport. It’s a small and straightforward airport, with basic facilities in place. Check-in and security were smooth, but there’s nothing particularly impressive or unique about the place. The terminal is compact, and there are very limited food or shopping options, especially compared to newer or larger airports like Bengaluru T2. Don’t expect fancy interiors or breathtaking views here — it’s simple and functional, best suited for quick travel. Overall, it's okay for a short and quick journey, but definitely lacks the wow factor you get at more modern airports.

Trivandrum Airport is one of the busiest airports in Kerala, impressively well-maintained and clean. The variety of eateries offers delicious food options, making it a pleasant place to grab a bite before your flight. The lounges are also quite good, providing a comfortable space to relax. Highly recommend this airport for travelers!
