Moegi Village

Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
萌木の村 is a charming village that offers visitors a tranquil and idyllic retreat amidst lush green forests. The village boasts of cozy accommodations within a peaceful forest resort, where guests can unwind and relax. Visitors can take leisurely walks around the village, exploring its quaint shops and restaurants without having to pay any administration fees. Additionally, during August 2021, a grand ballet stage was being constructed in the vicinity adding to the attraction of this beautiful destination.
It’s autumn season and I love the halloween themed park! Pumpkins are decorated, there is a spot in the center of the park where you can get a really good pumpkin photo in aerial view lookout, and it was a bit cold so we had some S'mores outside! Coffee and cocoa were also available. Great place to get photo taken and if you love to go on a nature walk.

Free entry, no need to pay Place is huge and there’s plenty of parking. The shops and cafés are pretty decent too. Inside, there’s a super famous restaurant and another one called Rock. I went during lunchtime and had to wait almost an hour! Weirdly, there were still lots of empty seats inside, but they still kept us waiting in line. I guess only they know how the system works. 😅 Anyway, I ordered their most popular dish and it was honestly so good! Big portions and seriously delicious. You order using a QR code on your phone, which is pretty convenient. Oh, and there are so many photo spots with gorgeous flowers around! Perfect for taking cute pictures and capturing the whole vibe. 🌸✨

This place is very nice. Got a few pretty gardens, many smaller shops with cool things to buy (including a deer head and its horns) and overall just a nice place to spend a couple of hours.
Neil E — Google review
A very pretty village but what i found interesting was the trail (takimino-oka) that led to a viewing point of a waterfall. And it also has a story about fairies.
Tammy ( — Google review
So nice, good view & weather, peace, art, music, camping, eating, sightseeing in this area. Great to spend time here 🥰
Watcharin K — Google review
A very peaceful and serene village. There are many stores. Might be a good place to take a walk and walk around. When I visited in August 2021, a large ballet stage was being constructed.
Llcheesell — Google review
A pleasant walk-around with some restaurants and craft shops. The soft ice cream and the merry-go-round are the popular stuff here.
Foad N — Google review
This is a nice place to just chill and escape the hot Tokyo summer. Just a few hours away by train from Tokyo. Mount Fuji can be seen from here. The local beer is great of you are a fan of craft beers.

Sun Meadows Kiyosato Ski Area

Mentioned on
1 list
Ski resort
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Yamanashi, Sun Meadows Kiyosato Ski Area is a year-round destination that promises stunning views and a variety of activities. Perched at an impressive altitude of 1,900 meters, visitors are treated to breathtaking panoramas of Mt. Fuji, the Yatsugatake Mountains, and the Southern Alps. This hidden gem offers numerous seating options perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy moments.
This is a really friendly and efficient resort with well maintained slopes. Incredible views and great food right up the top. The bottom station has rental, ski school, equipment shop, food options. Short walk from the car park. It is ideal for beginners making the transition up to intermediate - this mountain allows you/your kids to do more white and sense of security. If you are already intermediate there is part of one slope that allows you to become comfortable with the idea of skiing black runs with confidence. If you are an advanced skier, the views of the mountains rising above you could be frustrating; if only I could reach up there; or there; or there! You may need to re-orient your expectations to working on improving your style or enjoying the forest on the chair or gazing at Mt Fuji. BEST FOOD AND VIEWS ARE UP THE WOODEN STAIRS TO THROW DECK UP ABOVE THE TOP LIFT. Soup is my pick; pizza was my bf’s. This is a lovely spot in the world.
Nicolas T — Google review
This place was recommended by our hotel. We rented the whole gear and took lessons from 10-12 and 1:30-3:30. The staff was so friendly and patient. They spoke enough English. Our kids did snowboarding and we tried skiing. Limited vegetarian options for food but we had a nice fried pizza and fries with truffle and hot chocolate and chamomile tea. Getting a taxi from there to your hotel could be a challenge. Arrange a pickup beforehand or rent a car. It’s good to have a SIM card with calling options. The snow was artificial but alright for a novice. Afternoon hours are less busy as the kids ski school is done by then.
Manuela G — Google review
The main attractions (outside the ski season) are the kiyosato terrace at the top of the mountain and the go kart track. There is a souvenir store as well as a lounge and a restaurant. They do have tables set up outside to hang out. There's a huge free parking lot. Plenty of lockers available in the main lobby.
Guillaume7372 — Google review
Great little hidden gem in the middle of yamanashi. The main reason people come here is for the breathtaking view from the top and the numerous seating options that make it more instagrammable. Pricing is not bad, I cant remember the exact price but it's pretty standard pricing for using a gondola. There are couple of food options. There's a cafeteria with two shops at the bottom. One sells sandwiches and the other sells more restaurant style food like grilled chicken and pasta. Price are a little expensive but not too bad. At the top, there are 2 cafes. I didnt check one of them put but the one I did had only drinks and sweets. View is amazing you'll never get bored of it. There a couple of seating options. There the main beds which anyone can use, there's an hourglass next to each bed once the time is up then you should honor it and let the next people jump on. Some beds have 30mins and some have an hour I think. There are also reservation beds which you do through the site I believe. And there also bench and table options as well. The place was surprisingly relatively crowded especially on a Monday and no buses that reach the place as they have been suspended due to COVID19. Which brings us to accessibility. It's almost impossible to get to without a car. Usually there's a bus that takes you there, but that are suspended so the only way to reach it is by taxi or bicycle. Problem is there aren't many taxis in the area and the bicycle rental place also have very few bicycles available if you didn't make prior reservations. We almost didn't make it back to the station on time to catch our train, we had to get staff to call a taxi and had to wait about 40mins for one to arrive. All in all, great place that I highly recommend if you have the means to get there. Also it's doable for a day trip from Tokyo, it takes roughly 3 hours by train to Kiyosato Station.
Gordon M — Google review
A nice ski resort where there are rich courses for every skill level. You can rent ski equipment for every age. The ski school is great, there are even English speaking teacher to teach foreigner. The staffs are helpful, although not all of them speak English, they will try their best with body language to let you understand. There choice of food is very limited but the quality is good. There are not many skiers or snowboarders, so there is no waiting for the lift. The mid-cafe is a nice get away from the waiting parents down at the main building. There are some ticket combo to save you some money. I find it amazing that there are only little asian tourists in the resort.
Ric C — Google review
I think any ski resort it nice when you love to ski. I could only say that if you own some gears and suit less rent😊 no entrance fee just the ticket for the cable you desire. I went this place too early last dec. the snow is not yet thick but still i got the best experience i love it
MK M — Google review
Nice, but small place, but if you are beginner or just like a nice glide down a hill without any hard places, this one is great. Went there for only an afternoon and had a very good time.. Ski rental was 4000 yen (boots, skis), lift card was 4200 yen, so normal price..
Carsten H — Google review
It's a panoramic place especially at the top when you get off the cable car. It's the Kyosato Terrace. You get unobstructed wide views of the plateau and the mountain ranges including Mount Fuji.

Doryuno Falls

Doryuno Falls, located in Hokuto, is a charming natural attraction that may not be grand in size but compensates with its picturesque appearance as it cascades down the mountainside resembling a bridal veil. Visitors can take a leisurely 15-minute walk through the forest to reach the falls and enjoy the soothing sounds of nature along the way.
Nice water falls has a short hike from the road. There was parking available for about 50 cars.

Occasionally, local elementary school children come here for outdoor learning ✨🚶😀 You can also see people fishing in the river 🎣! There are a lot of insects, so bring your own insect repellent spray 😄 It's definitely not a big waterfall. However, summer is a place where you can feel good and take in good negative ions ✨🌲🍃🏞️🦟🐛🐝 (Original)

(Translated by Google) Toryu Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the Kawamata River Valley on the Kiyosato Plateau in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, where several streams of water gush out from the rock face. The highly transparent water, combined with the moss-covered rocks and surrounding greenery, creates a feeling of cool air and tranquility. From the parking lot, you can walk along the nature trail alongside the stream, and along the way you may encounter wild birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. There are many stones and tree roots underfoot, so we recommend wearing sneakers or other comfortable shoes. In summer, standing near the waterfall feels like a natural air conditioner, and in autumn the autumn leaves add a touch of color. Verga

Resort hotel
Nature & Parks
Verga is a forested mountain park that offers cabins and camping opportunities along with hot springs, numerous outdoor baths, and one sauna. The park also features a glass-roofed restaurant and BBQ facilities, making it perfect for families or groups. The baths are spacious and varied, including one particularly luxurious rotenburo. While the meals are reasonably priced, visitors should note that parking must be paid separately per person.
What a plan must visit with family and friends. It’s near Kofu Yamanashi. Very nice waterfall there you can play in water.💦

6 different baths (2 outdoors) 1 sauna, lot of space. One of the rotenburo is really "rich". Decent prices for the meals. Only downside is that it's located inside a park and you need to pay the parking lot separately by person.

2 Dog-run sites have a bunch of maple trees that drops caterpillars and jelly-like pollen capsule in June. Your tent and car will be covered with it. According to the rule on the hand-out, they prohibit us from walking around dogs in the area. I don't know why they have dog-friendly business then.

(Translated by Google) We used the campground. It was great that there was a hot spring on the premises. Being able to bathe in a hot spring right inside the campground was heavenly. I almost felt like I'd never be able to go back to my site (lol). There weren't many toilets or cooking facilities in the campground. It would have been nice if there were more. It was a bit cold, so we couldn't do any water activities. If you're going to come, I recommend going during the warmer months. The small unmanned sales area at night is a great help for those who need to replenish their firewood. The hilarious announcement before checkout is a must-listen! The kids playing there were laughing out loud. Nestled in the foothills of the Nagano mountains, Misogi Shrine is a serene and beautiful place to visit. The shrine is well-known for its connection with the famous Japanese pair singer Yuzu, who reportedly hold outdoor live performances there annually. Visitors can admire the stately design of the shrine and enjoy a peaceful walk around its well-kept grounds, which include a picturesque coy carp pond.
It’s very pretty and the staff is very helpful. You can also get your shire book (goshuincho (御朱印帳)) stamped here.

Visited on June 2nd 2019. This shrine (jinjya) is well known for the relation with the famous Japanese pair singer “Yuzu”. Local people say the pair singer hold outdoor live every year there. Besides, the design of the shrine is quite stately. And the desert the provided by the staff in the small Japanese restaurant are local and delicious. Parking lot attached. Great place for taking a walk and enjoy the Japanese culture.

Absolutely stunning place. And the best part is it's free. As good as anything in Kyoto in my opinion.
David J — Google review
It felt like visiting a cult HQ and there were strange fanatics with looks of contented confusion on their faces. No doubt it is a beautiful place but with a unusual vibe. Nice place for a picnic. Toilet is luxurious with air conditioning inside. Looks very well funded compared to most shrines in Japan.
Barry C — Google review
The place is said to be purchased by a Japanese pop group called "Yuzu" to his mother which is member of a different cult. So Im not sure if is really a Shinto temple. Is also known as concert venue for different kind of music. The place is beautiful. Regardless whoever is the owner.
Alfonso S — Google review
Beautiful shrine commemorating Amaterasu as well as Koshinto, the older traditional Shinto. Masakane Inoue is enshrined here as the local diety.

Sure, Ootaki Shrine is awesome, but this place? Just as epic. There's this sacred vibe in the air. Totally dig it.

Yamataka Jindai Zakura

Scenic spot
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Yamataka Jindai Zakura, located at the Jissoji Temple in Japan's Yamanashi Hokuto region, is a magnificent cherry blossom tree that has been blooming for over 2,000 years. As one of the Three Great Sakura Trees of Japan, it symbolizes longevity and has inspired the planting of its seedlings across Japan and around the world. Despite its age, this massive and gnarled tree continues to bloom each spring.
I visited during a rainy day, but it was still spectacular. The photos cannot reveal the full beauty of it. There's not just one cherry blossom tree but a bunch with my favorite being the space sakura
Jiyu Q — Google review
It's a bit hard to come (by walking), but it's worth it. I come on 28-3-2025, almost all sakura tree is bloom including The Jindai Zakura. I'm very lucky since Tokyo still not mankai 2 days ago.
YT L — Google review
A magnificent beauty! We spent around an hour there, just to enjoyed the scenery. One could see the southern alps as the background of sakura. Not too crowded even on the weekend. Access by car is best.
Pattarawan N — Google review
Go! Just go! I went in the pouring rain and if I catch a cold and die, it will still have been worth it. This is a beautiful little temple complex, technically open all the time but there are no lights at night. One of Japan's top three famous trees is here - a whopping 1000 years old and still blooming. No picture I take will come close to capturing the beauty of it. Also on site is an offspring of this famous Jindai Zakura, grown from a seed that flew on the International Space Station and then sprouted near its parent. There are other famous trees here, it's a small place, but I walked through twice. During normal hours there are two little shops on site - one sells the regular shrine charms for peace, health, etc. The other sells jewelry and other small items with petals from the Space Cherry inside. Just offsite are food and produce vendors, and there are restrooms on site. Definitely follow the transit directions on the website if you go by train - Google Maps wanted me to take a 5.5 hour route, it's really just under 2 hours if you catch the Limited Express to Matsumoto. This particular Limited Express does require an extra fee even if you don't reserve a seat, so hit up a green ticket machine before you get on. If it's possible to die of beauty, make sure your affairs are in order before you visit!
Laura L — Google review
This definitely does not close at 5pm!!! We almost didn’t go because Google Maps says it’s closed, but other Japanese websites say it’s open 24 hours. We went at 6pm and saw the beauty of this old, gnarly tree against the sunset sky. Well worth it!
Cassandra S — Google review
It is one of the best Cherry blossoms that we have viewed in Japan . Less touristy , mostly visited by locals . Free entrance Highly recommended !!
Choo H — Google review
Amazing! This 2000 year old sakura tree is a must see. It’s not only beautiful, but also the oldest cherry blossom tree in Japan. 🌸
John E — Google review
A 2000 year-old cherry tree is the big draw here, and it's worth the effort to get out to see it in bloom. Access is not great as it's a trek from the nearest station and buses irregular even at peak season, so a car is useful especially if visiting nearby sites.

Art museum
Nestled in a picturesque highland with stunning views of Mount Fuji and the Yatsugatake range, the Hirayama Ikuo Silk Road Museum is a captivating destination for art lovers and history enthusiasts alike. This museum showcases an impressive collection of Nihonga paintings by Hirayama Ikuo, who channeled his experiences as a Hiroshima survivor into his art, focusing on themes of Buddhism and world peace.
Beautiful museum featuring both the artwork of Hirayama Ikuo and numerous artifacts from the cultures along the silk road. The displays include items of breathtaking beauty which you may be surprised to see in a location like this. There is above all a sense of respect for the various cultures, rather than simply showing off plundered curiosities as you might find in some larger institutions.

(Translated by Google) This museum exhibits paintings by artist Ikuo Hirayama and Silk Road artworks collected by the artist. Exhibit 1 has many Gandhara Buddhas on display. It's nice to be able to see it directly instead of through a glass as mentioned in other reviews. I'm sure you all learned in school that the Gandhara Buddha was a Buddhist statue made in the Gandhara region of northern India in the Greek style, but every time I see the Gandhara Buddha, I feel a strange connection to the fact that Western Greeks were heavily involved in the rise of Buddhism, a religion in India. I'm really happy to see things like this. This time, in the second installment of the museum's 20th anniversary project, dyed and woven products from Uzbekistan were on display under the theme ``Dyeing and Weaving and Culture of Central Asia.'' There also seemed to be an exhibition of the manga ``Otoyomegatari,'' but it had already ended when I visited. disappointing! I live in Aichi Prefecture, and it's a little difficult to get to this place from Aichi, but if you use the limited express Azusa from Tokyo, it might be surprisingly easy to get there (although it's really annoying that the Koumi Line only runs about once every two hours).

The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and travelers alike. Nestled in a stunning modern building, this museum showcases an impressive array of Keith Haring's contemporary works, reflecting his rise to prominence in the vibrant New York City art scene of the 1980s. Known for his playful yet poignant imagery that addresses social issues such as gay rights and AIDS, Haring’s pieces range from subway chalk drawings to expansive public murals.
A wonderful museum and building. The scope of the collection was fascinating and the curation of the current exhibition really well done. The staff were all so welcoming and so passionate about the artist and the work. Definitely leave time for the gift shop! A perfect day trip (but we stayed across the road at the equally great Lodge Keyspring)

OMG 🤪 Just had the most epic few hours at the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection — totally blown away! From the bold lines to the electric colours, every piece was bursting with energy and meaning. Such a surreal experience seeing his work up close in the middle of the Japanese mountains — pure creative magic!

As soon as the staff saw we were coming with our Poodle dog they came all the way out to warn us not to enter with our dog, not politely at all. It’s a pity because the museum itself is beautiful, interestingly they even choose Keith Haring’s dog as their logo, what a pity.

The mountain's unusual jagged peak makes it perfect for rock climbing and bouldering. Additionally, the area features attractions such as Doryuno Falls and Verdant Garden Verga.

Customers rave about the tasty beef curry and beer, along with the cozy ambiance created by the fire stove in the center of the store.
Shoutout to the Nepalese staff that was so attentive and polite. Had the regular rock curry with bacon, fries fritters and a pizza. The beef curry was something similar to rendang, but all was good. Food was served promptly too.

The food is sooo good! Honestly, I could come here every day. The staff are really friendly too—always greeting everyone and super quick to help out. I went for lunch on a Sunday, so of course there was a line. I waited almost an hour, but it was totally worth it because the food was just that good! I ordered the most famous dish here, and it did not disappoint. They also have beer that’s supposed to be really popular too. The toilets are super clean, which is always a plus. Oh, and it’s not just a restaurant—there’s also a shop inside where you can buy different kinds of sausages. While waiting in line, you can check out the menu by scanning the QR code, and when you finally get a seat, you also order through a QR code on your phone. Super easy!

est. 1971, The Rock was a part of my central Japan vacation experience. I kept the details Top Secret to my family, yet my kids were wondering why we needed to drive over an hour from Kurizawa, Nagano for dinner. My entire family was impressed. I started with the beer sampler, which I would recommend. I found a wiener sampler on the Hors d'oeuvre menu, and upon inquiry found out The Rock makes its own wieners, and the three on the menu are not inclusive to all the wieners they make. I recommend ordering all five wieners, which come with spicy true mustard, and sauerkraut, which is amazing for remote Japan. My Cub Scouts and Boy Scout expertly roasted marshmallows over the fire, and we had Japanese customers spying on our technique, which is really open source. 30' Christmas Tree fully decorated topped off the night thank you for a fantastic memory.

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, 中村農場 is a delightful local farm that specializes in heirloom chickens and their fresh eggs. (Translated by Google) [August 10, 2025] The weather wasn't great, but we didn't give in to the crowds and finally fulfilled our wish to have oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) at a restaurant. My companion ordered a large liver rice bowl. We both ordered fried chicken topping (fried chicken breast). We arrived at 12 o'clock and waited a full hour and 20 minutes to get our food. I was so happy when our number was called (lol). After purchasing our meal ticket and being shown to our seat, we waited about 20 minutes, so during peak hours, it takes just under two hours to get a meal. The guinea fowl oyakodon was delicious, with a rich egg flavor. The liver rice bowl was also topped with egg, giving it a deep, rich flavor. The chicken was also rich and flavorful, making it a luxurious dish. However, personally, I was convinced that the Yatsugatake egg on rice was the best. The pure, unadulterated flavor of the egg was truly worthy of a five-star rating. The castella cake had a strong egg flavor and was moist and not too sweet. I recommend it for people who like lighter flavors. The pound cake tasted good, but the dough was too dry and lacked moisture. It dried out in my mouth, dissipating moisture and making me choke, so I needed a drink. I bought the individually wrapped varieties, but they came in vanilla, coffee, and berry flavors. __________________ I only use Yatsugatake eggs. Of the several varieties of eggs on the farm, I think these are the best. They have a rich, deep-orange yolk. The other eggs tend to be lighter, so if you prefer a richer flavor, I recommend Yatsugatake eggs. I also often come across double-yolk eggs, which are a delight to both the eye and the tongue. They're one of my top five favorite eggs. _________________ 八ヶ岳卵のみの利用。

(Translated by Google) This was my first time going there to eat oyakodon. When I arrived around 10:30, the restaurant was still closed, but there were about 10 groups of people waiting at the entrance for it to open. There was an automatic ticket dispenser in a hard-to-find place to the right of the entrance. When it opened at 11:00, a staff member called out your ticket number, and after purchasing your ticket at the machine inside the restaurant, you followed the instructions to your table. It took about 1-1.5 hours before I could eat. I waited about an hour. The shop on the right had a wide selection of frozen chicken and eggs, side dishes, and bento boxes. I bought the oyakodon base I ate as a souvenir to take home. I think wait times vary depending on the day, so it's best to go with plenty of time. Itutuya

Unagi restaurant
Itutuya, a charming unagi (grilled eel) eatery in Kobuchizawa, offers a delightful surprise for food enthusiasts. Located conveniently near the train station, this restaurant highly recommends making reservations due to the approximately 30-minute preparation time. The standout feature of Itutuya is their exceptional aged eel dishes, served in small portions on the à la carte menu.
Without a doubt, Itutuya is my favorite Japaanese restaurant specializing in unagi . Every time I visit Kobuchisawacho area in Yamanashi, I will stop by this place. Unlike other unagi (eel) restaurants, they offer “aged unagi”, an unique traditional technique which eliminated the smell of eels and increased their umami. It also created a crispier skin and juicier meat. They offer aged unagi in kabayaki style, shirayaki style or if you like, you can go for half and half. Their non aged unagi is also extremely flavorsome. And let’s not forget their special bamboo sake, is has a refreshing aroma that goes really well with the eel. Itutuya is getting more and more popular nowadays, be prepared to wait in-line even with a reservation. And when you make a reservation for 5 people and above, don't be surprised if they ask you to pre-order a head of time.

Honestly, I think this place is a bit overhyped. The location itself is cute, but the seating areas don’t really live up to the vibe. Food was pretty mediocre, though I did enjoy checking out the boutique shops—they were super cute. I can see how this spot might feel special if you live in the city and want a little forest escape, but living in the mountains, it didn’t feel that unique. Still, worth a try if you’re into dining with a forest view.

The restaurant also features an outside walking path through the forest that the owner built himself with wood planks.

Hakusyu-an

Syokudo and Teishoku restaurant
Soba noodle shop
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Ojiro no Yu, Hakusyu-an is a delightful dining spot that perfectly complements your hot spring experience. Here, you can indulge in their signature Shingen soft serve, crafted from rich Yatsugatake milk and adorned with brown sugar syrup, soybean flour, and Shingen mochi—an unexpected yet delicious combination! The restaurant operates on a unique meal ticket system where you purchase tickets from a vending machine upon arrival.
(Translated by Google) 2024 (Reiwa 6) 7/15 16:30~ I visited for an early dinner. To order, purchase a meal ticket from the ticket vending machine located next to the entrance. Serve on the kitchen counter. In exchange for your meal ticket, you will receive a number tag and when your food is ready, you will be called by your number. When you are called, you receive your food at the counter, right? This time I ordered the hotou, which is limited to 10 servings a day. The finished hotou was quite delicious, and I think it is of a high standard for a restaurant in a hot spring facility. The staff also had a good impression of customer service. Thank you for the meal. (Translated by Google) I ordered the original Shingen soft serve at the restaurant at Ojiro no Yu, a day-trip hot spring facility. Rich soft serve ice cream made with Yatsugatake milk and topped with brown sugar syrup, soybean flour, and Shingen mochi. That's all...I didn't know that it goes so well with soft serve ice cream! It's my first time eating this, but it's delicious ♡ By the way, at Ojiro no Yu, you can enjoy ultra-high concentration hot springs with a distinctive red color. After your bath, head to the Hakushu natural water corner where you can drink for free. It's great to be able to drink moderately cold soft water with a pH of 7 and a hardness of 30 after taking a bath! You can't drink it directly, so you'll need a container to take home, so be sure to bring an empty water bottle or plastic bottle with you when you enter the museum.

Soba Dokoro Sanbuichi

Soba noodle shop
Nestled at the foot of the stunning Yatsugatake Mountains, Soba Dokoro Sanbuichi is a must-visit for any soba enthusiast. I arrived on a weekday around 11:00 AM and was pleasantly surprised to find it relatively quiet, but by 11:30, the place was buzzing with eager diners.
Get ready to wait for too long. There is a parking lot and a nice sightseeing/walking park around

Long waiting time, good soba! However after ordering they informed our party of five that they ran out of rice but wanted to charge full price anyway for everything ordered with rice. They offered no compensation just asked if we wanted to change our order or wait 40 minutes for new rice to be cooked. Strange attitude to customer service, will not return.

However, it started to get busier from around 11:30 and there were several groups waiting by 12:00. I was amazed at how popular it was, even on a weekday. There were a variety of options on the menu to choose from, but I decided to change to the Tenzaru 100% buckwheat soba. This can be done for 300 yen. The tempura was chewy and flavorful, and was also crispy and delicious. If it's busy, it's a good idea to kill time at the farm shop or observation deck next door! It was delicious, so I'll go again. I parked the car in the parking lot and headed towards the park, passing by a soba restaurant where a line had formed even before it opened. After my walk around, I was returning to the car when I glanced back at the soba restaurant and saw that it had opened. Customers continued to arrive. As I was passing the entrance to the restaurant, I overheard a conversation between a waiter and a customer, who said, "If we're seated on the terrace..." Terrace seats = dogs allowed, so I asked, not expecting any luck, and they said dogs were allowed! I had thought they wouldn't let me in, but they did, and my excitement skyrocketed. My wife ordered eggplant tempura bukkake soba. I ordered a large portion of 100% buckwheat soba zaru. I was so excited that I even ordered soba ice cream for dessert, which I don't usually order. I see... Now I understand why there's a line. The texture was great. Even though it's 100% buckwheat, it's not gritty at all; when you chew it, it has just the right amount of elasticity and a smooth texture that reaches your teeth, and the flavor of the soba fills your nose. Take-out soba is also available, but the best-before date is the day of purchase. The terrace seating is shared with the nearby Sanbuichi Yusuikan (souvenir shop), and on weekends and holidays it becomes the exclusive space of Soba Dokoro Sanbuichi. A spring known as the "Blessing of the Yatsugatake Mountains" gushes forth in front of the restaurant, and simply enjoying tea brewed with this water is a luxurious experience.💧 This time, we ate at a table, but the terrace seating would be great on a nice day, and they also have a relaxing tatami room, making it perfect for any occasion. The soba noodles we had had were perfectly balanced—neither too spicy nor too sweet. A truly classic flavor that anyone would find delicious. The unadon (eel bowl) that came with the set was plump and perfectly paired with the soba.😋 I've decided that next time I'll definitely try the tempura! It only operates a few routes, such as New Chitose, Kobe, and Fukuoka, and the number of flights is extremely limited, with only one or two round trips per day. It's so inconvenient that I honestly feel like it's on the verge of being shut down. It seems to have a history of being saved by the Shizuoka FDA, but I worry about how long it will last if things continue like this. Perhaps due to the low number of passengers, the terminal was quiet, and there seemed to be few souvenir shops. That said, this airport does have its good points. It's known as the airport with the highest altitude in Japan, and the views from the observation deck are outstanding. The view of planes taking off and landing against the backdrop of the Northern Alps is particularly spectacular during snowy season. The airport's compact size makes it easy to navigate and navigate, which is a plus. And best of all, free parking is a real bonus. However, because the airport is far from Matsumoto city, access to Matsumoto Station and other areas requires a bus, which takes time, so it's undeniably inconvenient. While the views may be irresistible for airplane enthusiasts, I felt it was a tough choice for travelers prioritizing business or convenience.

(Translated by Google) It's a small regional airport. Basically only FDA serves the airport, but JAL sometimes operates seasonal flights. FDA flies to Sapporo, Kobe, and Fukuoka, while JAL's seasonal flights seem to be to Itami. There are no flights to Tokyo, perhaps because the distance is too short for a plane. There is a limousine bus to Matsumoto Station, but it takes about 40 minutes.
