Factory Outlets
Gotemba Premium Outlets is a massive shopping center in Japan, offering around 290 luxury stores with international and Japanese brands. Visitors can indulge in a shopping spree at renowned outlets like Gucci, Burberry, Celine, and Alexander Wang. Afterward, they can enjoy a delectable sushi and tempura lunch at Numazu Uogashizushi or savor coffee and pastries at Fauchon Paris.
Gotemba Premium Outlets is one of Japan’s most popular shopping destinations, located near the base of Mount Fuji. The outlet features a wide variety of international and Japanese brand-name stores, offering luxury goods, clothing, sportswear, and accessories at discounted prices. Visitors not only enjoy an excellent shopping experience but also stunning views of Mount Fuji, especially on clear days. The outlet is spacious, clean, and well-organized, with plenty of dining options and convenient facilities such as shuttle buses and tourist services. It’s a must-visit for travelers who want to combine shopping with sightseeing in a picturesque setting.

Great outlets with TONS of designers stores; definitely come ready to shop! A few things to keep in mind: 1. The traffic can be really heavy at times so a 1 hour ride from the various stations in Tokyo can easily turn Into 2 or more so give yourself enough time for the return trip so you’re not rushed. 2. For those visiting out of the country you can essentially shop “tax free” but it really all depends on the retailer it seems. Some places I paid 1.5% others were 2%. They had laminated cards at the retailers I visited along with other province and local information. 3. Take in the beautiful scenery. The center is c situated within a mountain so the views are actually quite nice. 4. If you’re an American, the service from the associates may seem a bit overwhelming but it really was refreshing to see how helpful everyone was. And it didn’t matter if the store was high end or not, the treatment was consistent. 5. If you’re taking the bus service from points within Tokyo, DO NOT show up late to the departure area. Buses board as early as 20 minutes before departure and leave on time!
Stephen W — Google review
Heaven for branded fashion shoppers. This place is much bigger, much more complete, and very well run. I am comparing it with the Outlet Mall in Niagara (Toronto, Canada) and the many DFOs (Discount Factory Outlets) in Australia, and the Grand Prairie near Dallas Fort Worth Airport. The crowd and the number of people should convince you that you’re probably in one of the best discount branded mall in the world. We had so much fun. Getting there is by express buses which is a misnomer. Traffic and roadworks made the journey >3 hours getting up there. Check out the bonus Fuji-san view from bridge coming back from Hillsite to West.
Pandji C — Google review
Gotemba Premium Outlets is one of the best outlet malls I have visited in Japan. The mall is huge with three sections connected by bridges. It has almost all the name brands that I'm looking for. The direction of the stores is clearly labeled. The mall itself is well-maintained and very clean. The shopping experience here is very relaxing.
Michael W — Google review
A part of the tour that didn't interest us but it is the main itinerary for some of the tour bus passengers. We were dropped off near Hotel Clad and given around 90 minutes for shopping. Oh man, some of them can run! We just took in the sights and had the complimentary bento under the shade before heading to the Food Bazaar for air con and seats. For serious shoppers, planning to visit the shops in a convenient manner takes priority. We marveled at the people coming back to the tour bus with many bags of purchases.
Alvin L — Google review
Big shopping outlets for big brands. There are three zones: East, West and Hillside. Ample parking for those with cars, good dining choices and very nice views, specially that of Mt. Fuji on a good weather.
Ben S — Google review
It was the first time for me to go there. There were some stores that they aren't at another Outlet s mall, for instance Sony Plaza, Sanrio. And, some of them offer limited goods. I found goods combined Mt.Fuji. There were decorated as Halloween. So, I have felt fun just walking.
Sachertorte T — Google review
"Fantastic combination of serious shopping with a truly breathtaking view of Mount Fuji." "It's a huge center with a great variety of brands—perfect for a full day of exploring and finding bargains."

Mount Fuji

Mountain peak
Sights & Landmarks
Mount Fuji, the iconic snow-capped peak and volcano, is the highest in Japan and the 7th highest island peak on earth. Yamanashi Prefecture, home to Mount Fuji, offers a serene escape from Tokyo's hustle and bustle. Visitors can explore the picturesque Fuji Five Lakes, Kiyosato highland resort, historical temples like Erinji and Kuonji, rejuvenating hot springs, and renowned wineries.
Definitely recommend hiking fuji. The sunrise is amazing and though a challenge it’s worth the rewards. And you get to stand on top of Japan at 3776m Quite crowded during August and not too easy to book the mountain huts but you can always join a tour
Kevin K — Google review
A Journey Above the Clouds Climbing Mount Fuji (3,776m) is more than a hike — it’s a test of will and wonder. From the 5th Station, the trail starts easy with cool air and ramen stops, but soon turns into a battle of endurance as the air thins and the slopes steepen. The night climb was magical — stars overhead, headlamps snaking up the mountain. Reaching the summit at 4:30 a.m. to witness Goraikō, Japan’s sacred sunrise, was pure awe. The descent? Slippery and tough, but the sense of achievement made every step worth it. 🌅Unforgettable. Humbling. Beautiful. My trip is started end of August , start at night for sunrise, layer up, and pace yourself.

Breathtaking and unforgettable experience! Seeing Mt. Fuji in person is truly magical. The view is stunning from every angle, especially on a clear day or during sunrise and sunset. Whether you visit the 5th Station, Lake Kawaguchi, or view it from afar, the scenery is peaceful and awe-inspiring. It’s a must-see landmark that captures the beauty of Japan’s nature and spirit. A perfect spot for photos, hiking, and unforgettable memories!
J _ — Google review
A reminder that Mt. Fuji represents strength, resilience, and enduring character, similar to the steadfastness of the mountain itself. A spiritual symbol of spiritual growth and enlightenment, a national symbol of Japan's strength, and a source of artistic inspiration.
Hua M — Google review
Don't underestimate this place, some may so it's a walk in the park but it's not. If you're not fit, you will suffer, especially if you plan on ascending and descending on the same day which is what I had done. I do a lot of walk and hike but this was the first proper mountain I had ever climbed. It wasn't so much of my fitness that was an issue, but rather, the altitude sickness. And yes, altitude sickness is real! About ⅔ into the climb, I started feeling the affects of it. For every few steps I went up in elavation, I kept stopping because I felt like hurling. Eventually, I threw up three times, at three different stages of the latter part of the climb. My companion on the other hand, who had never done this let alone walking or hiking, didn't suffer a bit. So it does differ in affects, from person to person. But having said that, do stay overnight and acclimatise for God's sake, as it will make the climb more pleasurable.
Tajul I — Google review
The gorgeous Mount Fuji! Blessed to witness this volcano peak on a clear day. One can never be tired watching this view the whole day.
Pranjit D — Google review
It was an amazing experience! View at the top will take your breath away and is totally worth the eight hour hike. We took the Subashiri Trail and stayed at Tomoekan. Enjoyed the nature, plenty of blue sky and the feeling of walking on cloud, literally. Highly recommend of you are considering this. To optimize your experience , highly recommend you work out and prep yourself physically well enough before the climb.

Visiting Mt. Fuji is a breathtaking and unforgettable experience. Seeing this majestic peak in person feels truly magical — its beauty shines from every angle, especially at sunrise or sunset. Whether you’re admiring it from the 5th Station, the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, or from afar, the scenery is serene and awe-inspiring. A true symbol of Japan’s natural beauty and spirit — perfect for photos, hikes, and lifelong memories.

Fuji Safari Park

Mentioned on

Wildlife and safari park
Wildlife park
Zoo
Fuji Safari Park is a wildlife park that offers various safari experiences for visitors. You can choose to drive through the park in your own car, take a Jungle Bus with wire-netted windows to see and feed wild animals up close, or opt for the Super Jungle Bus with netted tops and sides. Another option is the Safari Navigation Car, where you can join a ranger in a 4WD vehicle for off-road driving and animal feeding.
There is a bus safari and a private safari tour, or you can drive you car through the safari. Very fun experience to see many different animals. We took a private tour and got to feed a variety of animals. The tour guides do not speak English. There is also a walking section where you can feed kangaroos, and see lion cubs (among other animals). Definitely worth a day trip to come here!
Austin I — Google review
An open and wide Safari park where you can drive around watching different animals in the wild. If you want to feed animals you can ride their cute safari buses. We came here during holiday season so as expected it was so crowded and buses was not available. So we used our car. Our second time here, watching animals in the wild was really a great experienced.
Lakwatsera L — Google review
I took my family here a couple years ago, it was an incredible experience! Very few places let you get so up close to the animals. Facilities were great, had very good cell phone service too. Staff was friendly, I recommend this to anyone with kids in the area.
Greg K — Google review
I felt excited here! The super jungle bus is a must-try! I really enjoyed to view various animals. Unfortunately, the weather was not good to see Fujisan. I’ll go there in near future.
Senior J — Google review
Open animal park that’s mostly a petting zoo. There’s a motorized portion where you can ride on a bus and feed the animals or drive through in a personal or rental vehicle with no feeding. YOU MUST BRING CASH!! Check the pics for prices or look online but EVERYTHING with the exception of buying the bus tickets and two restaurants requires cash. There is NO ATM on site which is ridiculous!! They have signs saying no food near the animals, but there are green spaces to eat your food if you bring it and coolers were seen around the parks. Very enjoy experience. Come early if you want to do the jungle bus option as it feels up fast. Wear comfortable shoes as theirs lots of walking on uneven and steep terrain
FarEastFurqans — Google review
We visited Fuji Safari Park last weekend and had an amazing time. We drove our own car through the park and got to see the animals really close up. A great experience for all ages! It was safe, exciting, and felt very special seeing lions, bears, and more right beside our car. If you’re thinking about doing the safari with your own vehicle, you just need to buy admission tickets. Buying them online from the Safari’s page is easy and helps save a bit of money too. The best part is you can use your tickets any day within 90 days after purchase, which is super convenient for families.
Haissam K — Google review
At first we didn’t know it was a drive through ZOO. It’s the only one I have tried in Asia. If you have your own car you can drive your own but it’s you don’t have they have a bus to take you. Many safari animal inside, I think it’s a great place for elderly who can’t walk long or for kids is a good choice too. You can even feed kangaroos, capybara etc.
Shelley L — Google review
A Safari Park! I was the driver so sadly couldn't take many photos. A zebra decided the car next to me made a great butt scratcher. This is all that is fun about a Drive through zoo. a rather large one as well as it took 1 hr to drive through the exhibits and watch all the Animals. maybe next time I will do the Safari walk!

Gotemba Station

Mentioned on
4 lists
Train station
Gotemba Station is a popular spot for travelers, especially those using the Hakone Freepass. It offers an 870 yen discount on the Shinjuku-Tomei Gotemba route. The journey to Gotemba Station from Kozu Station takes about 2 hours and costs around 1600-2000 yen. Visitors should be cautious with Google Maps as there are two bus stations in the area, and it's recommended to ask station staff or bus drivers for guidance.
Gotemba Station (御殿場駅, Gotenba-eki) is a railway station on the Gotemba Line in the eastern part of the city of Gotemba, Shizuoka, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). It is one of the gateway stations to Mount Fuji and the Fuji Five Lakes (including Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka). Gotemba Station opened on February 1, 1889 as one of the original stations of the Tōkaidō Main Line between Kōzu and Shizuoka. From 1955, in a joint operation with Odakyu Electric Railway, JNR began operating the limited express Asagiri service from Shinjuku to Gotemba. Along with its division and privatization of JNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under the control and operation of the Central Japan Railway Company. Station numbering was introduced to the Gotemba Line in March 2018; Gotemba Station was assigned station number CB10.

⚠️🚌🚍be ware, Google map has something wrong with this place! There are 2 bus station around this area! If you going Hakone direction please go another side of the station, there is another bus station, don’t follow the Google map. Ask the staff at the station and the bus driver make sure you get on the right bus. 🚌Google map didn’t tell you, there are free bus going premium outlet village, every 15 minutes, it’s can stop by two stations on the way back to here, check out the picture, and use it well.

Toraya Kobo

Japanese sweets restaurant
Toraya Kobo is a serene cafe nestled in a garden and bamboo forest, offering an authentic experience of traditional Japanese confections known as wagashi. The venue was created with the intention of reviving the art of making these artisanal sweets. Visitors can savor handcrafted delicacies like Manju, Daifuku, and Dorayaki while taking leisurely walks through the picturesque surroundings featuring plum groves and ponds.
The absolute best most perfect dorayaki ever ✨ well worth the price ! The shop’s atmosphere is amazing as well. You have to walk through a path of beautiful trees and bamboos, I really wanted to sit and drink green tea (which was also absolutely amazing) and eat dorayaki all day ☁️🍵 Definitely worth dropping by. Especially in the cooler months. Wonderful experience ! (We went on a friday in October, not a holiday or anything at around 12:30pm and there was practically no queue)
Prao S — Google review
Very nice traditional Japanese sweets place situated inside a bamboo forest. The place may be a bit hard to find especially if you are arriving by foot. The shiruko and dorayaki both tasted very good and a must try. The amazake had a very unique and refreshing taste too.

I walk to this shop. It's seems middle of nowhere but amazing surroundings by bamboos and trees very Japanese nature. Shop creat such a nice ambience for customers! Sweets are excellent and tea is perfect ( you can ask refills for free of charge) good experience.

Yummy dango and nice scenery. Free carpark available near the shop
AC H — Google review
Personally I don’t think it worth the time to line up to enjoy the tea or sweets. The queue is slow and a waste of time. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
SM — Google review
Beautiful setting. Arguably the best sakura mochi I ever had. But rediculous queue, more than 1 hour wait despite arriving literally 5 minutes after opening. Some items sold out in first 15 minutes. And stupid system where most of the cafe tables were empty during that hour of waiting but they make you line up anyway (to make it look more popular?) You have to clean up your own table too, which is unexpected at this price point
Jess S — Google review
It’s a beautiful place for traditional Japanese sweets and desserts. Love the little stroll before reaching the cafe which is calm and peaceful on the day I visited. Not too crowded but with only Japanese crowd. I love the Sakura matcha mochi. Take note that goggle map bring us to the location of the office behind. If coming by car or bus please park at the big carpark which we can see along the main road

Kirin Fuji Gotemba Distillery

Distillery
Food & Drink
Nestled at the base of Mount Fuji, Kirin Fuji Gotemba Distillery has been crafting whisky since 1973. This distillery stands out as one of the rare few in Japan that produces both malt and grain whiskies. The pristine water, filtered through the iconic mountain for half a century, is a key ingredient in all their whiskies.
Visiting the Kirin Fuji Gotemba Distillery was a fantastic experience! As a fan of Japanese whisky, this was a must-visit, and it didn’t disappoint. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us and asked if we drove there. If you’re the driver, they’ll give you a wristband to indicate that you’re not allowed to drink any alcohol during the tour or tasting. It’s a thoughtful system to ensure safety, so drinkers, take note—plan accordingly or "ACT" accordingly! The distillery offers a great selection of whiskies, including some exclusive Mt. Fuji whiskies at reasonable prices. The whisky tasting session was a highlight, allowing us to sample some of their finest offerings. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for whisky enthusiasts or anyone interested in learning more about Japanese whisky. Highly recommend for a unique and enjoyable experience! 🥃🗻✨
Legendy S — Google review
We've been travelling through Japan for two months and one of the few whisky bottles I bought was one from Kirin Fuji Gotemba. It made me want to go to the distillery. The tour was organized very well, we had an earpiece with English audio while walking through the distillery and at the end a tasting. Some outstanding whisky's and you had the possibility to buy whisky's that you can only buy there. Definitely recommend it when you're in the neighbourhood or even a little trip from Tokyo.
Rens C — Google review
The (Japanese only) guided tour was excellent as the guide was very knowledgeable and the tasting was enjoyable. They take drink driving very seriously and will call the police on you if you plan to drink any amount and drive. (They warned you no less than six times during registration and again at the tasting room)
Clara T — Google review
really enjoy the guided tour today :) although I don't understand Japanese, I was provided a machine that explains each step throughout the tour, the tour guide is very kind & gave me English translation of key information. Highly recommended this tour if you pass by Gotemba, an eye-opening journey ❤️
Simon L — Google review
Great place to be, learnt a lot from the talented guide. For foreigners, there are free audio guides so you would know what is going on along the tour. They have free shuttle traveling between the distillery and the train station nearby.
ChriS L — Google review
Well planned tour in the factory. The translator machine only offer english. For Mandarin speaker got brochure to refer. We took the free bus to the distillery. After the tour, you still have around 20mins to purchase the items in their mini shop.

Visited in October 2018. Love the theater presentation. It’s bravo. 2 kinds of whiskey for tasting with free of charge. Besides of this, we paid for tasting some nicer whiskey. A lovely lady shown us how to mixing cocktail with their products.

This is apparently one of the world's largest whisky distilleries and one of the few to make both grain (3 styles) and single malt. Unfortunately I arrived too late to do a tour. Tasting bar and shop were worth visiting, and staff were friendly. Must return to do the tour.

Nestled in the heart of nature, Gotemba Kogen Tokinosumika is a delightful resort that offers a refreshing escape. This facility boasts two types of natural hot springs and features its own brewery, "Gotemba Kogen Beer," alongside an impressive array of dining options. Guests can indulge in everything from buffet meals to traditional kaiseki cuisine, eel dishes, and local delicacies across eight diverse restaurants and cafes. The stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji enhances every experience here.
Something that you don't witness every day in Japan. This only comes to light in the coming months heading into winter. I was fortunate to have this opportunity to experience something unique despite enjoying a wonderful dinner earlier. Having finished dinner, we wandered to a nearby lighting illumination called the Tokino Sumika Illumination Japan, an enchanting winter experience that captivates visitors with its breathtaking light displays. This masterpiece of artworks is set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Fuji. This popular illumination event combines advanced technology with artistic design to create a surreal and magical atmosphere. The display stretches widely, featuring millions of LED lights arranged in intricate patterns, tunnels, and sculptures, each telling its own story through light and color. An impressive and mesmerizing feature is the Rainbow Tunnel, a colorful pathway in a kaleidoscope of colors. There are plenty of well-highlighted features which synchronize lights and music in an illuminated panoramic landscape. Tokino Sumika also brings a touch of nostalgia with classical architectural European-style creation in a fairytale-like setting. The illumination details precise precision of light placement between natural scenery and artistic design. Tokino Sumika is not just an illumination event but a memorable experience that brings warmth and joy to cold winter nights, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring Japan during the holiday season. Come make an explosive visit here; the interesting part is, there are no entry charges, meaning it is absolutely free.

This was amazing. I was not sure what to expect. It was just described to me as a "tunnel". It was a series of light displays each with a different theme for the tunnel portion. There were more areas too. A great experience. I recommend you check it out.

We got there at 9, and as it was so late the last show was running and there weren't a lot of people (bonus), lights were great and would highly recommend going late at night.

My family and I have been visiting Gotenba regularly since 2008 and have stayed in the Tokinosumika resort several times. The illumination started off small, but we have watched it grow and improve over the years. It is really beautiful and adds to the romantic feel of the area. They have illumination longer than most areas too. They even have a summer display which runs until the end of August. There are plenty of places to eat, but please note the restaurants tend to close early (8 or 9 pm). The area is worth a visit during the day too, especially with kids, as there is lots to do.

Konohana no Yu is a hot spring day spa offering a supreme relaxation experience with large open-air baths that provide stunning views of Mount Fuji. The facility features both communal and private bathing rooms, all supplied with water from a local spring. Guests can also enjoy the in-house restaurant and purchase food on the second level to create a cozy space for relaxation.
The public onsen at Hotel Clad is a true gem! This is my second visit, and I’m already looking forward to the next. The facilities are immaculately clean and cozy, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The highlight, without a doubt, is the open-air bath with its stunning view of Mt. Fuji—an absolutely breathtaking sight, especially during sunrise or sunset. The tranquil ambiance of soaking in the warm waters while gazing at Mt. Fuji is an experience I’ll never forget. The indoor baths and saunas are equally enjoyable, offering a variety of options to suit different preferences. The staff are welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you’re looking for a rejuvenating and peaceful escape, this onsen is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I wish this place was closer to my house! First time coming here after the outlets, and it currently ranks the 2nd best onsen I have been to! The buffet was delicious, and I wish I was more hungry to eat and drink a lot! I came by bike/motorcycle, so I just bypassed the gate from the side (since it didn't detect motorcycles) to park. There was a lot of parking on Monday! The deep bath was new to me, I never experienced such a bath before and it was very nice (it's like you can swim in it (¯∇¯٥)) Also the sauna too! I enjoyed the aroma (and the little session they had inside where they had someone fanning the aroma and hot air, wow!) I want to come again, perhaps you may want a little sign for motorcycles, please! (*ᴗˬᴗ)

I stay for tonightwith my family members of 3 together. This morning my wife and son still in bed. I want to wake up early to take the morning picture with Fujiyama sunrise morning. After picture taken. I don't want to disturb my family. I just go into the restaurant having the breakfast time myself. The front counter is a very limited in English. Ask me how many. My answer one of myself and give him one to show and let him know myself only. Then he gave me a card to go in restaurant go get the seat is all you can eat. I just hang around and enjoy my coffee breakfast with my phone entertainment. After 2 hours my wife call me we are ready to go premium outlet shopping again. Late afternoon time we go back to the hotel. We will be check out for tomorrow. My normal practice will go into the hotel lobby front desk and check the bill. This by accident the staff print out the bill to show me breakfast charge 8 people. This is ridiculous. I believe after the pandemic have a lot of lousy management. Even though the staff not to be training what is the hospitality. Good luck I'm very very angry looks like I've been cheat. If you don't know how to speak Japanese. Please don't come in here. Building is nice. Facility is good. But compare into the one of the old days especially hotel in Japan. This is really ridiculous and make myself disappointed. I'm so embarrassing. Good luck good luck

Booked a private onsen on a weekend. Though I like the privacy but it was too costly at 7000yen for an hr weekend rate. The room was nice but because we can only soak for 15 to 20mins the most, it was a waste and we went at dusk, so could not see Mt Fuji clearly too

Very cozy, nice place, beautiful view. You can relax after a long day trip at the second floor and chose your place whether at tatami floor etc. The hotspring is located at the second floor. For a day bath, it cost ¥1700. The toilet is very clean. There is a smoking room, Restaurant and massage area. There are 3 large area of hotspring. Sauna and a very cold water which you can splash on your body. "NO DOGS ALLOWED"

We came here as part of a 1day Klook tour to Hakone and this was by far the BEST part of the entire trip! This hot spring was beautiful, zen-like, relaxing, well appointed, had multiple pools and places to try in the public bath, it was awesome! We only had 2 hours here but we could have spent all day with the restaurant, snack bar and beautiful relaxation areas in the facility. Pictures of the place from website as cameras not allowed; but trust me it’s a great place. And if you have small tattoos and not many, they sell patches for a couple of bucks each that cover them. This is very considerate of the spa and appreciated. We absolutely loved our time here and would go again in a heartbeat, highly recommended!!!

I had a fantastic time participating in the Mt. Fuji scenic tour on horseback. My guide / the two instructors from the Netherlands and Australia were very professional and courteous. I enjoyed the riding lessons in the arena that followed the tour. I highly recommend Okamoto Riding Club for those who enjoy horseback riding. It was worth the journey to Gotemba from Tokyo. I would 100% repeat this experience again. Big thanks to the Okamoto Riding Club team!

Sawayaka Gotemba Interchange Branch

$$$$affordable
Family restaurant
Western restaurant
Sawayaka Gotemba Interchange Branch is a popular spot known for its delicious hamburg steak and soup. Despite the long wait times, the food is definitely worth it. The place can get quite busy, so it's recommended to wait in your car if possible due to limited space for social distancing. On rainy or hot days, waiting without a car might be challenging. However, the friendly staff and quick service make it a great place to catch up with friends or family over a meal.
This hamberg stake house is famous and popular and comes from Sizuoka, the middle southern area of Japan. Full of customers, and it needs to wait at least an hour. But it is totally worth waiting for more than an hour. The hamberg is very juicy and good with the gravy sauce. The food comes with a special hot plate and it is very fun to see. I recommend ordering not only hamberg but also the soup and the white ricebowl together. The price is extremely cheap. Everything was wonderful.
Jeon S — Google review
The food is fine - not bad and not great. Prices are reasonable. Food isn’t worth the 60+ minute wait in my opinion. Staff are friendly, and English accessible menus are available. The concept is cool, and the presentation is good. However, if you do want to go, the beer is cold and the food comes out piping hot.
Mark D — Google review
Sawayaka Gotemba Interchange Branch: Long waits are the norm. The Genkotsu Hamburg is good—juicy, unique texture, and cooked at your table. The special onion sauce is a highlight. However, for some, the taste might not fully justify the hours of waiting. It's a popular local experience, but whether it's truly "wow" depends on your patience and expectations. Expect queues; consider going during off-peak hours.
Norrased C — Google review
I waited almost five hours to get in, but hey, the ticketing system's great—you get a Line notification when it's your turn. And the food? Totally lived up to the hype, worth every minute.
Abhijith S — Google review
The Hamburg and soup is really delicious, The place is really busy. I had to wait for about 2 and half hours to get in. If you need to wait I recommend waiting in your car since there is difficulty having social distance. If you don’t have a car, I suggest you don’t go on a rainy or a very hot day. ***But the food is worth to wait for.🥰🥰🥰*** Very yummy food, good customer service, friendly staff, polite and the food is quick 😋😋😋 A good place to chit chat for family or friends whilst eating.

Went at 7pm on a Tuesday and waiting a little over an hour for my table for just myself. Got the grilled chicken which was really good. So glad I was was disappointed for such a long wait.
Alexander M — Google review
I will try to be short. It was the best hamburg steak I’ve ever had in Japan. Took a ticket and had to wait for 90 minutes despite the off-peak time around 4pm. But you can go away or do something else and return. Not expensive either. It is a shame there are only stores in Shizuoka prefecture.

Benitora Kitchen at Gotemba Premium Outlets offers a flavorful dining experience with a variety of dishes and tastes. Visitors can enjoy MSG-free food with a decent palate, making it a great choice for those craving Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is known for its sesame spicy noodles, which come in three levels of spiciness. Guests often opt for the lowest level, finding it sufficiently hot.
This is my go-to for Chinese noodles in Gotemba. The sesame noodle is awesome. It's a bit spicy, but that is what you pay for. The meals are cooked quickly, and they are serviced with a smile. I have not had bad service at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and prompt. Go visit and see for your self!

Chanced upon this eatery when I parked at East Zone carpark. Prices and portion are reasonable. Taste above average. Don't have to wait for long for food. Definitely a place you can rely on to have a quick lunch before continuing shopping.

Out of the options i had in my 3 days here, this one gives u the most flavor. If u have been craving some MSG taste like food, this one is a good one to go, they have a pretty decent palate on their dishes and takes. I'd love to come back again if given the chance of another visit.

When I go to Gotemba outlet mall, I visit this restaurant usually. Sesame spicy noodle is good choice. There are three level of spicy grade, I usually have lowest spicy level but it is hot enough for me.

Came here for shopping at this premium outlet. This restaurant located near the corner of the outlet opposite a Japanese sushi restaurant. Ordered seafood soup noodle , spicy noodle with pork and sesame , pan fried dumplings.. noodles were great But the dumplings were rather too big .. I would prefer a smaller one with the filings of meat and chives ! Overall good with fast service in the lunch hours..

GKB Grand Table

$$$$affordable
Brewpub
GKB Gotemba Kogen Brewery is a beer hall that offers an excellent atmosphere and delicious food. Visitors can enjoy the best pils outside of Germany and explore the decked-out Christmas area. While some patrons praise the food, such as fried gnocchi and ribs, others have experienced slow service and overpriced dishes. The brewery also features a German beer hall replica with live music and winter illumination until March.
We really enjoyed this place. The food, the beer, and the atmosphere were excellent. This is a beer hall. Best pils I have had outside of Germany. If you are looking for this, it is for you. As a plus, the area outside is also interesting. It is decked out for Christmas. A must see experience.

We had to wait for about 45 minutes to have a table. I ordered a Weizen beer and my husband ordered a WeizenBock, both were delicious. We ordered a spare rib, the sausages, and fried potatoes. Nothing extraordinarily tasty but it was good enough. In my opinion, it's overpriced.
Sandra S — Google review
After 3 hours of waiting they gave us a table in an adjoining room with heavy and dark curtains with in nothing looks like the big room showed in the pictures. We were waiting because we wanted the brewery atmosphere but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

Uokei is a well-liked informal restaurant near Inno Elementary, known for its specialization in local seafood, particularly market-fresh bowls and tempura. The establishment offers table seating as well as tatami floor seating inside. Customers praise the generous portion sizes of the menu items and the exceptionally fresh fish at reasonable prices. Dishes are freshly prepared upon ordering, resulting in a short wait time of around 15 minutes. Visitors also appreciate the friendly staff and convenient parking available outside the restaurant.

Good raw fish Sashimi meal combo but not exceptional. The rice and soup portion are large but the fish portion is just normal. The price is okay, not inexpensive for its size. There are parking lots but they take no credit card.

(Translated by Google) It was my first time there. I ordered curry without realizing it was a large portion. I was surprised at how much it was for 1,000 yen! There were also many other dishes I wanted to try. Apparently, the daily rice bowl can be made with vinegared rice for an additional 100 yen, so I think I'll have that next time. The recommended simmered golden eye fish that other customers were eating was also quite large. I'd like to go again.

(Translated by Google) It was my first time back in about 10 years. Even though it was a little after 1:00 PM on a weekday, the restaurant was full, but there was no line, so I decided to wait. Even when a seat became available, they didn't clear it away, so I ended up standing there for about 30 minutes. About 80% of the customers were ordering the yellowtail fry set meal, so I ordered it for 1,760 yen (I think that's about the price) and the daily seafood bowl for 1,650 yen. I was told that I could upgrade the daily seafood bowl to vinegared rice for an additional 100 yen, or to fish soup for an additional 200 yen. I was told there would be a wait, but it was served about 20 minutes after I ordered. The seafood bowl was packed with sashimi, making it a great value. The miso soup was amazing, especially. The seafood bowl in the photo may look small, but it's actually larger than usual, and the miso soup was served in a bowl almost the same size. I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish it all, but I drank it all. The sashimi was also delicious. The fried yellowtail was also plump and delicious. It also came with sashimi, so it felt like a great deal. Please note that payment is cash only.

Buffet restaurant
Gotenbakogen Biru Baikinguresutoranmugibatake offers a delectable food buffet with a wide variety of options that are frequently updated. While it may be considered one of the pricier dining experiences in the area, many find it to be well worth the cost due to the quality and diversity of dishes available. Additionally, visitors appreciate the attentive service and pleasant ambiance at this establishment.
Large selection of various Japanese, Korean, and American dishes. The most popular items were restocked quickly, and the employees friendly. I especially enjoyed the matcha latte from the self serve machine, and the dessert options were great. The AC wasn’t very strong, but the bathrooms were clean.
Arani L — Google review
I've been frequenting to this place for 16 years, but lately, I've noticed a decline in food quality since 2022. The buffet options seem limited with an excessive focus on carbs. While I understand prices may increase, removing classic items like rotisserie chicken from buffet is disappointing. And, the beer lines need cleaning—I was surprised to find my favorite Weizen Bock tasting off, almost like dried raisin soaked in herbal medicine or something. Moreover, some beer glasses weren't clean. I believe these issues need attention for the overall improvement of the restaurant. Visited on Nov 13 2023.
Arif K — Google review
I came here by bus tour. Actually, there have nothing special. The taste of the meal is so so. Beer is too sweet for me. The wine like a grape juice.
Hiro — Google review
The lunch and dinner menu and price is same which is nice because sometimes when a buffet changes both menus have good and bad. Reasonably priced if you are interested in the beers if not and just the food maybe slightly overpriced but all the food is pretty tasty. The kids enjoy going to the different stations for foods. The way to get food is not a smooth flowing line. Somewhat confusing where lines begin and end.

Numazu Uogashi Sushi offers a unique dining experience where sushi and sashimi can be ordered using a touchpad and are delivered via a conveyor belt. Visitors have praised the generous toppings, excellent quality, and particularly enjoyed the fatty tuna. Other favorites include sea urchin, squid, and savory custard. The restaurant is known for quick service, very fresh fish, and generous portions. Guests also recommend trying the fish tempura and bonito soy sauce.
VERY efficient, CLEAN conveyor belt Sushi restaurant with affordable offerings in huge portions. we spent ¥10,000 for a meal that could easily cost ¥25,000 elsewhere in Japan. highly recommended! Can't share the video clips of us gorging over the Sushi Board set, hotpot, oysters the size of a human palm, a board of otoro and uni...cuz our greedy faces are in it!

I think the 4.2/5 stars across almost 2000 reviews really speaks for itself! Super efficient, super delicious! First of all, the sushi is bigger than what you usually get! They serve you very generous portions! The fish was probably one of the freshest I’ve ever tasted. Considering how big the pieces of sushi were, and considering the freshness of the seafood, I personally think this restaurant was super price for value! I also tried the crab miso soup and needless to say, it was fantastic as well! I was so impressed an entire crab inside (the crab meat was very fresh too), and the soup itself was tasty! I would definitely come back! Numazu Uogashi Sushi has my highest possible recommendation! A great restaurant to visit if you’re visiting the fantastic zoo nearby! I think we were lucky that we didn’t need to line up!

Not a fan of burgers but I had to go in this restaurant because it was sooo cold and I wasn’t interested in shopping here. Thus, I waited for my companions inside this warm place. I ordered hot drip coffee which was surprisingly good! It was served black and piping hot (just the way I like it). Milk and syrup sugar were available at the sides. The coffee was smelled and tasted strong(again, just as I like my coffee). This SS branch is spacious with kind, courteous service crew. There’s a self order kiosk or a counter for ordering-your choice. Maybe next time I will try their burgers.

When I took a bite of the ShackBurger, I immediately noticed the crispy edges and nice char. The Angus chicken was also tender and tasty. The toppings gave the patty some additional moisture, and the soft potato bun held everything together nicely. I liked that the bun was sturdy and had a delicate sweetness to it. I would definitely order this burger again.

It's just a let down that they close at the same time as the outlet park. I just hope they close a little later so that we would not have to rush to eat our meals.Still giving Shake Shack a 4 since the food and service are good.

GREAT food, perfect presentation, clean, nice vibes, self ordering on the kiosk machine in your designated language. Really great dining experience.

Sights & Landmarks
Haneda Airport is a waterfront airport that serves the Greater Tokyo Area and offers direct rail access to the city, as well as free WiFi. Travelers can take the Keikyu Limousine Bus to Yokohama Station and transfer to the Yokosuka Line or Shonan Shinjuku Line to reach Kamakura Station, which takes about an hour.
I'm very impressed with Haneda T3 and it's very functional and easy. The place is massive but easy to find information. Access to departures is really easy. Inside, the departure area is massively long with a lot of shops. Mostly branded one, but there's also a nice food court with very reasonable prices, offering a lot of Japanese choices. This is my fifth time here, and I am finally doing my Google Review.

Flight was excellent, airport is massive but the process of getting off, going through customs and grabbing our luggage was phenomenal! So well organized. Be prepared to go through miles of transit to get places with very fast, paced people moving in a quick manner. Loved flying over the city before landing. Just amazing.

Haneda Airport is truly one of the best airports in the world. From the moment you arrive, everything feels seamless—clean, efficient, and well-organized. The signage is clear, making it easy to navigate even for first-time visitors, and security and immigration move quickly compared to many major airports. The terminals are modern, bright, and filled with a wide range of dining and shopping options, from authentic Japanese restaurants to luxury boutiques. The staff are courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Amenities like spotless restrooms, clean showers, and comfortable seating areas make layovers far more enjoyable. Transportation to and from the city is also incredibly convenient. Haneda combines Japanese hospitality with world-class efficiency, making travel smooth and stress-free.

Haneda Airport is busy at all times — even at 7:00 AM, it’s filled with students and tourists. The place is lively, energetic, and huge, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. You definitely won’t go hungry here! ✈️🍱☕️

Haneda Airport is one of the cleanest airports I’ve seen right next to Changi in Singapore. Very organized and well-maintained, you can do lots of things there with plan spotting at the observation deck. The Terminal 3 is very easy to navigate. Can’t wait to see Japan again in the future!

Upstairs, there’s a Don Quijote. You don’t need to worry about buying souvenirs elsewhere because this airport has everything! I even forgot to bring my child’s milk bottle, and luckily I found one there. The price was the same as outside The halal food is delicious and the portions are big!

Very efficient, don't have to walk as much to get to your departure gate, there are outlets for almost every seat at each gate if you want to charge your phone or PC, there is a hot water fountain if you have your own tea bags. On top of that, the airport is like a combination of Little Tokyo and a museum.

Huge Airport and do much stores, restaurants, shopping, sky, ...so love the place. If your stuck or in a budget there are relaxing places to nap at. I could not get tired of this place.
