Located on the north-west coast of Mauritius, La Cuvette Public Beach is a popular spot near the tourist town of Grand Baie. It attracts many tourists from Grand Baie looking to enjoy a relaxing day under the sun. The beach is often frequented by locals for picnics and leisure time by the ocean. With clear waters and no coral reefs, it offers a picturesque setting.
Beautiful small beach, awesome sunset setting. Careful, there are plenty of rocks in the seemingly clearer section of the water, and the algae is normal for Jan period. Breathtaking sunsets
Ebrahim A — Google review
Great beach and fantastic food, drinks available. The Coconuts and Pineapple drinks are delicious. Food is fresh and great service.
Attie H — Google review
The view of the beach is nice and the toilets are clean. But the surrounding area and the beach itself could be much cleaner. I hope that the city will deal with it.
Sebastian W — Google review
As far as public beaches go we really enjoyed it. Be careful by the rocks. There may be urchins. Few little waves which excite thr children. It is pleasant to watch the boats. There are a few food trucks about if you get peckish. They aren't the cheapest. We enjoyed that there were trees about for shade. Many locals bring lunch and set up a table and chairs for themselves... Which was very cute. Neat public toilets are there but take your own loo paper.
Piccolo S — Google review
Great cozy small beach with the best sand and nice food opportunities. We had food at Mimi snack bar and it was delicious
Adriána K — Google review
Another beautiful beach, there was a wedding taking place at the red church, views stunning and great place to eat BBQ as big public restaurant offering all BBQ food

Amazing! Beautiful spot and very calm. The water is lukewarm and clean. Specially if you walk a bit to the left, it’s not really exploited. We loved it.

Grand Baie Public Beach is a picturesque and compact beach located in the charming seaside town of Grand Baie in the northern part of Mauritius. It offers stunning landscapes, pristine white beaches, crystal clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs. The beach is popular for its lively nightlife, bustling shopping scene, and choice of restaurants and bars. Despite being a central area for tourists, it provides a relaxing spot with calm waters.
What a beautiful beach! The azure blue and green waters stretch as far as the eye can see. We even spotted stingrays in the evening - such a cool experience!
Paulomi R — Google review
Nice tarquish blue water. Clam sea. Very good for swimming. You can hire a glass button boat and go deep into the sea to see corals and a variety of fishes. Lots of restaurants are there along the beach. We enjoyed this place.
Samir S — Google review
Small but nice sandy town beach, busy with lots of boats and street food vendors. The area feels quite bohemian and fun.
Sam V — Google review
Smaller beach that gets quite crowded o the weekend. You might want to visit on a weekday if possible. The public beach is in the Sunset shopping area so worth a trip there.
Ruru M — Google review
Such a beautiful beach , very lively and bustling in the evenings
Dipanjan R — Google review
Beautiful bay- full of boats and a small swimming area. Lots of trinket and artisan shops nearby.

Public beach next to very busy nightlife business area..so weekend nights is it very crowded. So if you want to enjoy the this beach ..come during the day. You'll get to see the beautiful view. There is enough parking and lots of different restaurants. So a very good place to visit.
Manukumar M — Google review
Beautiful beach with lot of food options nearby. Just ahead of Gloria there are stalls with options like Halim, Roti Dal Pori, Fried noodles, fried rice, ice cream, gato piment etc. Though its a small beach and has parking constraints yet its the cleanest and scenic for some amazing pictures.

Sunset Boulevard in Grand Baie offers a vibrant nightlife with its array of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. It's a popular spot for live music and entertainment. The coastal road leading to Grand Baie village features Sauterelle at Sunset Boulevard and Le Poivrier, highly recommended for their food and service. Visitors can check their Facebook pages for updated opening times and featured menu items like Australian beef or the catch of the day.
Nice little town for ATM cash withdrawals, shopping and just enjoying life on the beach and in the many small shops and at street sellers.

Sea front view area where you can do shopping and have a brunch with your friends and family if you want to go to the beach or something like that I would highly recommend ❤️❤️

Good afternoon fox, me as a Mauritian people this is a place for tourists and a place for stuff. But I don't say for them too. Nice and cool environment but about a bit noisy. You have choices amongst choices what to do and what to buy. A place never stop for people on day time and afternoon. Yes you have to be vigilant too. This is a wonderful open shopping with direct summer holiday. Well is your choice what to ware or not. Pay attention thus place is not like European one but you have to ware properly and not to do provocation to others people please. Be respectful. A place not to be naked but all the religious visiting this environment so be human not dogs.

We did a fishing cruise today. Unfortunately we only caught one fish but we had a great time. Crew was amazing! Just: if you are out for 5h at least, they could serve a small Snack

Nice place in Grand Baie with private parking. Excellent Sauterel restaurant from french cuisine. Unfortunately, not all stores opened after Covid. And so the place appears deserted at the moment. I hope and wish this place and all the business in Grand Baie a speedy recovery from Covid.

Trou aux Biches Beach is a picturesque coastal spot located in the north of Mauritius. This former fishing village boasts a one-mile stretch of stunning silver-tinged sand, making it one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The beach is known for its clear turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling and various water sports such as water skiing, scuba diving, and parasailing.
Simply the best beach on the island. Clear crystal waters, great for snorkelling and swimming, plus a superb white sand beach which goes on for miles. There are toilets and a few restaurants dotted about, as well as a supermarket in walking distance. Its only slight downfall is the lack of parking.
Monty M — Google review
Free parking with access to the beach , along with shower and toilet facilities . Lots of parking , not aware of any security issues , and feels very safe . Access to the sea is simple and safe , be aware of the power boats , local fisherman and tourist cruisers - when swimming alway be aware of your surroundings ( speeds of these boats leaves no room for error if they do not see you ).
John C — Google review
Beautiful beach with public access. Each beach seems to have a care taker that looks after the toilets and beach area making it very clean. Good car parking area.
Pam D — Google review
Favourite snorkel spot, right down the south end (park opposite dive spirit or near popo supermarket). Good variety just off shore, no boat trips necessary. You can swim to where they go in 2 mins. Crowded in the central part of the beach near car park. Wear water shoes and it's chilly in August
Duncan A — Google review
The best beach I've ever been on. White sand, crystal clear water and perfect at sunset.
Lucy N — Google review
Trou aux Biches is a paradise in every sense of the word. Beyond the beauty of the setting, what made our stay unforgettable was the extraordinary service and care from the staff and management team. Every interaction was filled with a warmth and attentiveness that surpassed our expectations. Special thanks to Rambo at the beach bar, who spoiled us with such warmth and generosity. He made every moment by the beach even more special. Our butler Ibrahim went above and beyond to make us feel at home; his attention to detail and kindness truly elevated our stay. The management team made us feel like valued guests at every step, treating us with such attentiveness and care that we left feeling completely spoiled and cherished. The food was superb, the hospitality unmatched and the memories we made at Trou aux Biches will stay with us forever. This was an experience we will never forget, and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Trou aux Biches Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The white sandy shore is clean and great for relaxing with family. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful beach day with stunning sunsets.

We've been here off season (July) and whilst not staying at the resort. We walked a bit to the north and sat in front of the resort. The sand was lovely, the beach was great, it was quiet. If you're looking for a quiet beach day and don't need amenities, a great way to avoid a crowd

Shopping
La Croisette is a vast shopping center with a luxurious atmosphere that boasts an abundance of stores for an enjoyable shopping experience. The mall features modern architecture and abundant natural light. It is spacious and inviting, making it ideal for relaxation and socializing. Children will appreciate the dedicated play areas provided within the mall, while two supermarkets - one of which is Intermart, the largest - ensure convenience when grocery shopping.
Nice mall with nice vibe. The shops mix is good. Hyper market and food court in the location
Yousef A — Google review
La Croisette is a decent shopping centre, but it’s not very family-friendly. There isn’t much for kids to do, which can make visits challenging for families. The prices across stores are quite high, and the shopping options are dominated by clothing stores, leaving little variety. However, the food court is a highlight, offering a good selection of eateries with a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit if you’re focused on shopping or dining, but it could benefit from more affordable options and activities for children.
Annalize — Google review
Nice mall with great variety of foods to chose from in the big food court. Tables are very clean and you can never see a fly near you as it smells good every where you go and there are fans so you are never sweating. But overall it is very pleasant to walk around and many activities are available to do.
Naisha A — Google review
Not lots to do, food court great variety to choose from. Mostly for tourists again. Was convenient to get to from where we stayed in the North. Taxi and busses available all the time. Spacious mall.
Venothan M — Google review
It's a really big mall with a lot of shops. It is capable of giving a good shopping experience. The architecture of the mall is nice and cool. It has a modern touch. The mall is very spacious so it's a good place to hangout and relax. There is a wide area for kids to play so they are going to love this place. There are two supermarkets in the mall in which Intermart is the biggest i think. There are some restaurants and a food court which cook different varieties of foods of different countries! There is a theatre also in the mall. Parking is available.
Arya — Google review
Our favourite shopping/eating out place to visit during our holiday 🇲🇺 Has a very open feel to it and a lovely vibe. Also has a selection of stores as well as a well sized food court (majority of eateries are halal 😄)! Also has a cinema and plenty of parking. The Intermart is worthwhile shopping at if you are on holiday to get all your drinks and snacks at a very decent price.
Mohbeen D — Google review
Though there are lots of people during the weekend since it's school holidays, still Love the vibes and restos!! Nice place for family time, chillax with friends or do shopping. You can check out the animal shop there. They have puppies to adopt from time to time. The garden is so cool. Always renovating and well maintained!
Kritika S — Google review
Free underground parking. Recycle bins in one corner of the carpark for all types of recyclables. Lots of shops and a bank. 5ru coin needed for big shopping trolley. V helpful staff in the InterMart.

Flea & Street Markets
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Grand Baie, the Grand Baie Bazar is a delightful haven for shoppers and culture enthusiasts alike. Open from Monday to Saturday, this charming market showcases an array of handcrafted local souvenirs, colorful wicker baskets, and unique textile products. As you stroll through its lively stalls, you'll be captivated by the enticing aromas of traditional Mauritian street food wafting through the air.
Nice place to visit, The bazaar for tourists is quiet and clean. You can walk around, look around and buy whatever you need. Of course, you should haggle. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

Grand Bazaar at Grand Baie has lots to offer. Make sure that you visit before 17:00. My rating could be more if I had more time to spend there. Worthwhile going there. Parking is a bit difficult though.

Counterfeit goods. Shoes lasted less than 8 hours until the soles fell off. Don't waste your time.
Patrick B — Google review
As someone who has visited Mauritius many times , its better to support the Bazar than overpriced Street guys and hawkers . Its not an air conditioned mall its a market and goods are fine as gifts .etc Best stall for Trainers ,sun glasses, jewellery, bags is just before the main entrance and the Buddha on the right side . Run by Anoushka so helpful and patient, we tried on several trainers etc and then bought quite a few bits . She is a kind natured lady not like some of the stall holders . Do support if you don't want to pay the ridiculous hotel gift shop price for the same goods . Thanks Anoushka all the best.
Dhillon A — Google review
It's a great spot to browse and shop for souvenirs! There’s a wide variety of handmade items and clothing to choose from. The people are friendly and polite, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for unique keepsakes.

Pereybere Public Beach is a bustling and stunning destination backed by shady trees, offering activities like swimming, sunbathing, kayaking, and picnicking. It's located within the Grand Baie area, providing easy access to amenities and accommodations. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden or take a local bus to visit islands like Ile Plate, Ile aux Cerfs, or Ile aux Gabriel.
Stunning small beach. Calm, clean, easy parking. Some snorkeling around the rocks by the left but not great visibility or variety.
Duncan A — Google review
This speech is definitely not our choice, it is too too loud and too busy for us. The water is also not as clear as we like it. Very funny, there were many lazy dogs, laying in the shadows of some trees.
J&J F — Google review
Amazing sunset spot at Pereybere Beach — compact cove with calm, clear water that stays swimmable right up to golden hour, plus handy amenities just off the sand. Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to find roadside parking and a shady patch near the park; food trucks and cafés make it easy to grab snacks while waiting for the sky to turn orange‑pink. Families will appreciate the shallow, roped swimming area, showers and toilets; water shoes help for occasional coral or rocks. Tip: for snorkelling, try the left side rocks earlier in the day, then settle in for sunset.
RK — Google review
Very busy place, free parking, toilets, showers. Few stores for fruits and snacks! Very cool!

Nothing special, small crowded beach in the village... If you walk along the rocks on the right you reach some more quiet little sandy spot where you can swim

Nice beach with lovely white sand and less coral on entry to the water compared to a lot of other beaches in Mauritius. Rather small and gets quite busy and nothing on the beach in terms of sunbeds / restaurants etc but lots nearby. Lots of shade which is quite nice.

One of the best beaches for swimming! It can get a bit crowded, but it's a great chance to experience how the locals spend their time. Many come here for picnics, which adds to the fun and lively atmosphere.

Amazing sunset spot at Mont Choisy Beach — long curved bay, calm water, and casuarina trees for shade make it easy to linger until golden hour. The sky puts on a show with orange‑pink hues reflecting on glassy water; arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to find parking and a quiet patch of sand. Weekdays feel relaxed; weekends are lively with locals, street food stands, and watersports. Tip: bring a picnic, water shoes for occasional coral bits, and a camera for those final 10 minutes of light.

Château de Labourdonnais is a splendid Victorian mansion located in a natural estate, offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the 19th-century Mauritian lifestyle. The majestic mansion, built in 1859 and restored to its original splendor, provides a unique experience. Visitors can explore the gardens, visit the distillery for rum tastings, and savor locally produced Rhum at the Rhumerie des Mascareignes.
Incredible historic place giving an idea of how life has been one and a half centuries ago as a landlord on Ile de France. Really well maintained park and lovely restored building! Worth a visit!
MaFlex — Google review
A stunning house typical of the American colonial style and with a lot of family history. There's almost no reference to the life of the slaves upon whose backs the money was made.....maybe that reflects the fact that the family still live and work here. Either way it's a sad omission in an otherwise impressive place
Guy B — Google review
Beautiful place with so much historic significance. We spend walking around the estate and soaking up the history. There is free rum tasting included in the ticket. The rums are brewed there locally. Which was a great experience. There are also farm animals to engage your kids
Arya R — Google review
A beautiful, magical place for a special occasion. We were very well looked after, the food was very good and the DJ took us back to our roots with an outstanding selection. From the cocktails to the dinner itself, everything was perfect.

The Labourdonnais estate has been home to the Wiehe family for over 150 years. Established in 1856, it underwent extensive renovations in 2006 to preserve its elegant 19th-century colonial architecture. After your visit, take a stroll through the lovely gardens and historic orchard. The estate preserves endemic plants and also boasts over 50 centuries-old mango trees, spices, and many tropical fruit trees. You can also try the estate's own rum or juice at the tasting bar. After your visit, dine at the adjacent restaurant.
SOFIA C — Google review
"This destination is worth the visit. The stunning gardens are meticulously maintained, and the historic preservation is impeccable. I spent a leisurely few hours exploring the grounds, taking in the beauty and learning about the rich history. Depending on your pace, you can easily spend anywhere from 1 to 5 hours here, uncovering the secrets and marvels that this place has to offer. The attention to detail and commitment to preserving the past is evident throughout. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, this place has something for everyone. I appreciated the flexibility to explore at my own pace, taking time to appreciate the intricate details and stories behind each exhibit. Overall, I highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a unique and enriching experience. The combination of stunning gardens and well-preserved history makes for a truly unforgettable visit. I'll definitely be back to explore more!

A group of us attended a rum tasting session at this amazing chateau. The experience was very personable, and for an additional cost, we also got to try the full range of their more expensive rums which were far nicer. Although we did not eat here, we will return to do this as the food looked good and it is in a lovely setting.

Patrick our diving instructor had the patience of a saint, Thank you!! Giovanni our boat captain was always on hand to help and encourage, and always with a smile! I had done research before coming out on holiday and after careful consideration we chose Ocean Spirit. They did not disappoint! Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. At the end of the course we felt like part of the Ocean Spirit family.

I originally signed up for a PADI Open Water course, then once I'd completed it, Alyssa talked me into doing the Advanced course as well, not that I needed any persuading. Bobby instructed me on both courses, and I couldn't praise his professionalism and tutelage highly enough. The centre is large and well equipped, with a range of dive equipment for all sizes. Unlike the other local centres it also has a briefing area with charts, changing rooms, and a coffee bar for post-dive relaxing and debrief. They have 2 boats, piloted by Jovany and Pascal, both proficient captains fully trained to deal with dive emergencies. All the dive staff are experienced and highly qualified in multiple disciplines, making this the perfect centre for someone wanting to learn to scuba dive, or someone wanting to upgrade their existing skillset. I can't wait to go back to get my Nitrox and Deep Diving qualifications.

Perfect welcoming with Patrick and Bob! They made me feel like home and really helped me to book 3 dives with Ocean Spirit! I dived with Bernard, whom is a great instructor. Really patient, a lot of knowledge about underwater species and might have a scanner in the eyes because he sees everything during dives. I can only recommend diving with Ocean Spirit regagdless of your level, you will be treated perfecly well!

Best experience ever on the Discover Scuba Diving Course! Neither my husband or I have ever scuba dived before but the initial training was fantastic and really put us at ease. Bernard was our main instructor but Nando was also on the dive instructing other divers, and both made us feel very safe and looked after. My husband and I both loved the dive and saw lots of different fish including a ribbon eel and rock fish which were both very cool! If we had more time in Mauritius we wouldn’t hesitate to book an open water diving course with Ocean Spirit. If you’re thinking of giving scuba diving a go, we would highly recommend Ocean Spirit!

한국분덜도 강추함미다! We went scuba diving for the first time in our lives during our honeymoon in Mauritius! After a short lesson with our PADI instructor, Nando, we went into the open sea — it was an incredible experience. He was extremely kind and an outstanding instructor! Thanks to him, we had one of the best moments of our honeymoon. We thought the dive would last about 30 minutes, but he let us stay underwater until our gas was nearly depleted — which made the experience even better. We also got some amazing photos from the dive. Because of the Ocean Spirit team, we now really, really, really want to go scuba diving again someday! Highly, highly recommended!!!!

Super warm, friendly and highly knowledgeable team at ocean spirit. They were patient and courteous at all times. Had a fantastic experience snorkeling and a few dives as well. The captain, Jovany, is very helpful at all times and extremely experienced with the boat to the various dive sites. We are very happy to have chosen them for our underwater experiences. We highly recommend them for all your training and diving needs.

This casino is by far the worst casino for poker. What makes is terrible is 2 things. Absolutly worthless florman which cannot even confirm a reservation or answer a message. He would reply for a few messages but later will ignore your followup questions. See attached history chat. Once i made a reservation he didnt confirm and when i came it was there but not for the table i ordered so i left. Time wasted, is that really that hard to answer or confirm a reservation? Second thing the tables. I have never seen such filthy and old tables. Its a casino, they make money on cash tables, how can they be like this? The chips are so sticky when u lift them they stick together like overcooked pasta. They have only 2 tables for cash that are normal hight. The rest of the tables when there are more people are like bar stools and my back was killing me after 2 hours. Most casinoes have their best tables for the cash games with better chairs and usb chargers… not here. Yet they have super new tables for tournaments. 😳 Playerswise its not bad. Alot of bad local players who just gamble. Money changes hands quick. Some tourists on vacation making it rain. On a good night u could forget all the negative. The dealers count the pot for rakes after showdown which i find crazy. Normaly they count in their head mid game. This make the hands longer…
Gen E — Google review
I came out to Mauritius specifically for their African Series Of Poker event, a festival they appear to be holding in various guises some 2-3 times each year. The event itself was well run though there’s a few unusual practices I’ve never seen anywhere else in the world at poker events. There’s around 20 tables so they can cope with a reasonable amount of players too. But most importantly the dealers knew what they were doing and didn’t get flustered (apart from one solitary incident), the floor managers were accurate in decisions, the service staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good quality and relatively cheap. The other players were mostly quite friendly and quick to give advice regarding things to do/see in Mauritius and seemed surprised that I had flown here from England just for the poker event. All in all I’d recommend coming out here for any ASOP event in the future if you want to combine poker with a beautiful island holiday. I believe they also hold events on the nearby Reunion island too but I can’t seem to find information on that.

Solar Sea Walk Undersea walk Ltd offers guided walks on the sea floor using diving helmets, providing opportunities to observe tropical fish and coral. Located in Mauritius, known for its stunning blue beaches and luxury resorts with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, visitors can enjoy beachside activities and water sports. Reviews highlight the informative guides who ensure safety and happiness throughout the experience, as well as the incredible underwater views surrounded by diverse marine life.
What a fantastic experience overall. The “Captain” is friendly and puts you at ease, answering all questions before you even ask them. The experience provided is very safe and they are very well polished at the entire thing. Loved it. They do film for you…the filming is very rough around the edges however. Our copy had the incorrect date overlaid in the top left of the video. And it is quite expensive for the footage (about £25 where the only option is for them to supply the usb stick). I brought my own GoPro so was able to capture some amazing footage of my own.
Darren A — Google review
We did the solar underwater sea walk on a Saturday. We had enquired on Friday for doing it on Friday itself but the slots were not available and we had to book it for the next day. The beach is very beautiful with different hues of blue and green and that itself added to the excitement. The usual spot at which the sea walk happens was not operational and we went to a different spot. The ride begins on a speed boat of around 8-10 mins and reaches the boat which had the equipment for the sea walk. The guides and divers are quite good and it’s very safe and easy to do once you follow the instructions. We did it with our 7.5 year old daughter and while the helmet was a little big and heavy for her she was able to manage and did the walk fully. The divers take videos of you while asking you to do various manoeuvres under water. The only down point was the number of fishes which were only a handful and we were expecting to see a shoal of fishes. It cost us 2000 Mauritian rupee per person and at an additional cost of 1500 MUR you can take a USB drive with the videos they shot. We would have preferred if they had given photos instead of videos as we felt the videos were not worth the cost
RamachandranVishal — Google review
Great experience overall even if the helmets you wear look like they are made from old TVs. Booking was mostly straight-forward via website / email confirmation but the person who answers the emails doesn’t work in the booth and they don’t seem to communicate as booked via email, paid in person only to be emailed later informing me the session confirmed without payment was now full. Anyway minor admin issue, session was had as expected and it was great. Everyone involved was super friendly and helpful, even with a couple of divers who were a little afraid. 15-20 mins underwater goes by in no time but whole thing is efficiently organised with no-one holding anyone up changing etc
Sam V — Google review
Amazing experience. Very helpful team. Worth the time and money. Safe and unique activity. Must try. You get to walk under water and interact with colourful fishes. Wear your swimsuit. Water shoes are given, you can also use your own. Activity costed 2000MUR per person (August 2025). And the whole group’s underwater video is given in a USB Drive if needed (1500MUR for everyone’s video together). Advance booking is definitely needed. Due to sea conditions, activity does not take place everyday. I booked slots over WhatsApp and paid directly on the day of the activity. Highly recommended.

2021 review Had a remarkable under water walking experience with Solar Sea Walk. All the guides were very informative and made sure we were happy and safe throughout the activity. The views under water were astounding and we were surrounded by all varieties of fishes. Definitely highly recommend. 2023 review Went again in November 2023!! Just as brilliant as the first time. Team were quick and efficient with the work, explaining the procedure, how the whole thing works in French English AND German!! Still very diverse sealife in the water, also managed to see a sea turtle and lion fishes which were incredible! Still highly recommend.

Experience of a lifetime! I’ll definitely do it again. You’ll get a cool go-pro video undersea at a reasonable cost! They’ll prep you for the experience- all you need to do is know how to walk 🤣!

A great experience all round. My other half doesn't/can't swim, so approached this with trepidation! She had no need to worry - it was well organised & everything was explained clearly in French & English. There are several guides who stay with you the whole time so there's little or no risk at all. Once down the ladder on the side of the boat, the guides 'guide' you down to the sea bed where you can wander around under their careful watchful eyes. It feels akin to what i would imagine walking on the moon is a bit like. The guides give you bread & the fish come swarming around - pretty amazing! (don't worry there's aren't any really big ones & definitely no sharks!). All in all we were under water for about half an hour & felt totally safe the whole time. Brilliant fun

Phenomenal views nearby the church. The church itself is beautiful. It was closed when we visited. There is a dock nearby where a lot of people were there. The interior architecture of Masjid Ronaq-Ul-Islam Sunnee is impressive, offering ample space. However, it tends to get crowded during Jumm'ah prayers as both residents and those working in the area attend. The mosque is well-maintained by the masjid society, although improvements are needed for the women's section. Thobes are provided for those who require them during prayer. Overall, it is a peaceful place with excellent parking facilities.
Place for worshipping almighty Allah. There a place for prayer for ladies also .Best and we'll maintained Masjid .Best management for parking vehicles of namazies.
DIAMOND — Google review
There's on site parking. There's additional parking across the road in Fridays with the Police controlling traffic and crossing the road. Masjid appears smaller on the inside than it looks from outside. They have ladies section, but it's off no use as there is no speakers, so they cannot join the Jummah salah. I have read reviews posted months ago complaining of same issue but nothing done about it. The khutba before the khutba was in creole, and the actual khutba was in Arabic, so noisy people didn't understand me the khutba. Otherwise, it's a nice comfortable space to pray. They have provide thubs for men wearing shorts.

Nice. Unfortunately, there is no speaker on female side, and we cannot hear anything from the prayer. I will give 5 stars when they install a sound system on women's side. Also, for some reason the ladies' toilet was locked from the inside and could not be accessed.

Pereybere Beach is a top choice for families due to its safety and child-friendly environment. Kay B — Google review
A Slice of Paradise: Why Pereybere Beach is a Must-Visit Nestled on the northern coast of Mauritius, just a stone's throw from the bustling hub of Grand Baie, lies the idyllic Pereybere Beach. While not the longest stretch of sand on the island, it packs an immense amount of charm and beauty into its cozy cove, making it a firm favourite among both locals and tourists seeking the perfect beach day. Powder-Soft Sand and Tranquil Waters The first thing that captivates you upon arrival at Pereybere is the sand. It is impeccably fine and brilliantly white, feeling like soft powder underfoot. This makes it an absolute pleasure to walk on, lie on, and for children to build their sandy masterpieces. There are very few broken corals or sharp stones, allowing you to comfortably enjoy the shoreline without the need for water shoes. Complementing the pristine sand are the famously calm and translucent waters. Protected by an offshore reef, the bay is a sanctuary from strong currents and large waves. The water is a stunning palette of turquoise and crystal-clear blue, creating a gentle, lagoon-like environment. This exceptional calmness makes Pereybere one of the safest and most inviting beaches for families with young children and for swimmers who prefer a serene dip over battling the surf. The water gradually deepens, allowing for both casual paddling and more serious swimming within the clearly marked safe zones. Vibrant Atmosphere and Activities Despite its tranquil waters, Pereybere has a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The beach is fringed with lush palm and casuarina trees, offering plenty of natural shade from the tropical sun. For those seeking more comfort, deck chairs are available for rent. The clear waters are not just for swimming; they also offer a fantastic opportunity for snorkeling. A short swim from the shore reveals a vibrant underwater world with a surprising variety of colourful fish. For the more adventurous, local vendors offer a range of water sports, including kayaking, paddleboarding, and even deep-sea fishing excursions that can be arranged from the beach. Adding to the vibrant scene is an array of local food stalls and vendors conveniently located just behind the beach. You can easily indulge in fresh tropical fruits, delicious local snacks like samosas and rotis, or cool down with a refreshing ice cream without having to stray far from your spot on the sand. The Verdict Pereybere Beach is a true Mauritian gem. It perfectly encapsulates the island's beach paradise reputation with its combination of soft white sand, incredibly calm, clear waters, and a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. Whether you are a family seeking a safe swimming haven, a couple looking for a picturesque spot to relax, or a solo traveller wanting to soak up the sun, Pereybere Beach is an unmissable destination that promises a perfect day by the sea.

Perebyre Beach Review Perebyre Beach is a lovely spot that offers a unique balance of tranquility and vibrancy. During weekdays, it’s quiet and peaceful, making it ideal for relaxation. However, it becomes lively and bustling on weekends, as locals flock to enjoy the atmosphere. One standout feature is the food trucks on the beach, offering a wide variety of meals at budget-friendly prices—a real treat for visitors. The live music and evening entertainment create an authentic local experience, adding to its charm. Additionally, the beach’s proximity to restaurants, bus stops, and tourist agencies makes it convenient for travelers. Overall, Perebyre Beach is a great place to soak up local culture while enjoying good food and entertainment.

Emperator Diving Center changed my life! I am a certified diver with 50+ logs but hadn't been able to dive for the past couple of years following a panic incident. However, everyone at Emperator Diving Center including my dive buddy Russell helped me overcome my fear and get back in touch with scuba diving! I literally thought I'd never dive again, but the refresher course and the two fun dives went so smoothly that I forgot I ever had an issue. Not only is everyone here extremely professional, they're super nice and friendly. Thank you so much and hope to see you all again!

Great service, thanks Emeric! And two beautiful dives off Coin de Mire, including white-tipped reef shark swimming by :)

I did the Discover Dive here. It was fantastic! The staff all seem to work well together and it makes a very smooth operation. My instructor was very quick to determine my general abilities in the pool. Then it was off to the reef. Wow, what an amazing thing to see. The sea is slightly rough, and it's windy, but the moment you hop into the water and put your head under, it's just calm. Stunning to see. The se life was amazing. The first thing I saw was a turtle just sitting having a rest. I did the second dive immediately after, and it was absolutely worth it. Highly highly recommend to anyone thinking about trying it. You don't need to be staying at the Lagoon attitude hotel to use the dive service.

We stayed at Lagoon Attitude for our honeymoon and I was thrilled to find out there was a dive centre based here. I am PADI Advanced OW but before coming, it had been 7 years since my last dive! This was the perfect excuse to get back into it and the staff were amazing and so friendly, they even helped me find a watch shop near the hotel to get a new battery for my diving computer, as it had been so long! My partner had never dived before so we chose the half day to Coin De Mire, with a quick refresher dive in the pool for me and my partner doing a free 30 min dive to see if she liked it. I had Manon who was very friendly and professional, making quick ease of my check dive and I was good to go! My partner dived with David, although she had a panic in the pool and it seemed she was going to pull out David was SO patient with her and guided her through every step of the way! Because of him, she stuck through and off we went to the island. Once we arrived, I did one dive with Manon and other divers my level which was brilliant! I wasn’t sure if my partner was going to dive or just snorkel but to my delight, I saw her with David one on one diving whilst I was on my way back to the boat! I was so happy and on my 2nd dive, I was able to go with David and her and enjoy it together. A huge shout out to him, a true credit to your centre! We also got some fantastic footage from David who filmed us on a GoPro and got some amazing pictures and videos that I will cherish forever. Onto the dive, Coin De Mire was AMAZING and the corals and fish were so diverse. Water was crystal clear and temperature was a good 24-25C. On the way back we were amazed to see Humpbacks giving us a show! I could even hear them under the water during the dives. A truly magical experience and the highlight of our trip! Thank you to all the staff for their kindness, organisation and fun!

We would like to say a huge thank you to EMPERATOR DIVING CENTRE for their care, patience and truly remarkable skills at our Underwater Wedding in Sept 2022. Our day was the perfect combination of unusual, exciting and simply amazing! Even on our pre-wedding dive trips, your professional approach and fantastic knowledge of the area meant we were able to explore some of the beautiful reefs and lagoons that Mauritius has to offer. Not only were the whole team friendly and helpful, you guys really looked after us every step of the way. Ludo, Emeric, Pauline, Captain Ron, Hanaie and the whole team - you guys are just incredible!

Was in Grand baie and walked past the gallery and FIVE people were simply floored! The sheer beauty of those paintings were mesmerizing and I wish that the shop was open because we so wanted to get in not only window gaze but we were there on a Sunday. When you see things such as these, you realise that humans are amazing!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful art gallery featuring the works of French artist Michel Degav. These are hand-painted paintings with a prevailing subject of underwater panoramas, with specific reference to tropical flora and fauna, such as those that populate the coral reef. Bright colors and personal touch make the paintings very pleasant. (Original) Bella galleria d’arte che presenta le opere dell’artista francese Michel Degav.
